chapter 2 - One Wrong Turn on Bourbon

Outfit Link: https://urstyle.com/collections/82703

From Worlds Colliding (The Vampire Diaries) 3.08 "Ordinary People", in flashback, Elijah, Rebekah, Kassandra and Klaus stood together over Esther's grave, taking each other by the hands.

Auria: (voice over) "Previously on Worlds Colliding (The Originals)."

Kassandra: (voice over from 4.12 Voodoo Child) "A thousand years ago, we made an eternal vow. Always and forever."

From 4.12 "Voodoo Child", in the compound, everyone was talking.

"Freya, that now includes you," Kassandra told her. "As it includes Hope, Hayley and Mikayla. Kaylin, Nicola, you may not be blood, but the two of you and Rae have fought for us and protected us like family. And we've shown you the same."

From 4.13 "The Feast of All Sinners", in the Quarter, possessed by the Hollow, Young Hope, Young Rae, Young Emma and Young Danny raised their hands, using magic to levitate Hayley, Kaylin, Lindsey and Ryan from the ground, dangling them. Young Emma/Young Danny/The Hollow thrust their hands toward Lindsey and Ryan to throw them back through the air to the ground in an attempt to kill them, while Young Hope/Young Rae/The Hollow flicked their wrists, magically snapping Hayley and Kaylin's necks. Riley, Mikayla, Kacie and Luke caught Lindsey and Ryan before they died.

Ryan: (voice over from 4.12 Voodoo Child) "Right now, Hope, Rae, Emma and Danny are out there, alone in the darkness, fighting."

From 4.13 "The Feast of All Sinners", in the compound, Eliza looked at Auria. "You said there was a way to save them."

"There is," Auria answered. "The Hollow is in four little kids right now. To get the Hollow out of them, we need to put the Hollow into four immortals. When the Hollow was first killed, they divided her remains. Four bones, four kids, four volunteers, four different locations. And to get this done, we need four witches. Me, Freya, Lindsey and Tory."

"Transferring the Hollow's power into four immortal vampires," Noah told them.

"And you have to go your separate ways," Auria told them. "And you have to stay separate for all time. You can never see each other again. You can never go near each other again. At any time you are anywhere near those kids, they are not going to be safe."

From 4.13 "The Feast of All Sinners", in the compound, everyone was gathered. Auria, Lindsey, Tory and Freya had placed a sigil on the floor, where Hope, Rae, Emma and Danny were laying unconscious inside. Hayley, Kaylin, Ryan and Luke were kneeling next to the children. Kol, Rebekah, Elijah and Lucien stood around them.

Auria: (voice over from 4.12 Voodoo Child) "This is gonna be the end of always and forever."

The blue light, the Hollow, was released from Young Hope, Young Rae, Young Emma and Young Danny's bodies, floating above them in the middle of everyone. It was shot into the chests of Kol, Rebekah, Lucien and Elijah, making them all lurch back a little with their arms raised at their sides. The blue light faded as the Hollow was imprisoned in all four of their bodies.

Klaus: (voice over from 4.13 The Feast of All Sinners) "Well, if it will save the children, then we will make it so."

From 5.01 "Where You Left Your Heart", in Nicola and Elijah's bar, Kaylin looked at Klaus, Elijah and Nicola. "And Madison Fell is so much like Eliza like that. Madison has Eliza's sweetness and can be edgy like Kol. Never thought you would have an adoptive niece like Madison through Kol and Eliza, did you?"

Elijah chuckled. "No, we did not, Kaylin. But I am happy for Kol, Eliza and Madison to have a family with each other."

From 5.01 "Where You Left Your Heart", in the courtyard, Madison looked at the family. "Look, Hope, Rae, Emma and Danny feel guilty about the family being torn apart because you were all trying to save them. So they wanna fix it. And I was taken in by Kol and Eliza almost seven years ago, after the fact. I've never been able to see all of you reunited, and I want to help them reunite all of you because of it. We want to reunite this family."

From 5.01 "Where You Left Your Heart", in Marcel's oft, Marcel was proposing to Auria. "You're a witch, Auria. I know I'm going to live longer than you. I wouldn't ask you to become a vampire because I know that you love being a witch and that's who you are." He took out an engagement box, opening it to reveal the large, beautiful ring, kneeling in front of Auria. "Auria Rayvnne, will you marry me?"

Auria laughed, kneeling in front of him to look him in the eyes, smiling. "Yes."

Marcel and Auria laughed happily, embracing with a passionate kiss.

From 5.01 "Where You Left Your Heart", in the historical building, Kassandra was explaining to Lucien why she was killing vampires. "It's the only way to keep vampires away from Nicola and Elijah, who have spent nearly a decade without Nicola having to fight a single vampire, so if vampires go after her now, they will make her lose control, and then the Huntress inside her could take control, who hates us all, so it would be very bad for all of us. I know that Rae grows sick whenever she hasn't been feeding on souls of the wicked."

Lucien nodded understandingly. "So you take it upon yourself to kill the souls of the wicked so Rae can feed and stay alive, killing them so Kaylin, Nicola and Klaus won't have to, and so you can protect Nicola and Elijah from vampires coming for them so that you can try to prevent Nicola's alter ego from destroying her and everyone else. You can still go see your family."

Kassandra shook her head. "You were right before about the spell that made some of the madness go away, how it started to fail, and some of that madness slipped back in. If I'm around them, I could hurt them, and I don't want to do that."

Lucien stepped closer to take her hands in his. "Sandra, you are more in control over your mind than you have been back then. You will not hurt them. Others, I'm not so sure."

From 5.01 "Where You Left Your Heart", in the bell tower, Tory, Luke, Lindsey, Ryan, Emma, Danny and Lyla met up with Auria, Freya and Vincent.

"Hope was helping a Crescent pack boy at the school," Ryan told them. "She gave him some of her blood so he'd..."

"Become a hybrid?" Auria finished.

From 5.01 "Where You Left Your Heart", in the courtyard, Henry was holding Poppy's dead body. "I--I made a mistake."

From 5.01 "Where You Left Your Heart", in the courtyard, Greta looked at the Crescents. "We just want the hybrid."

From 5.01 "Where You Left Your Heart", in the alley, Hayley was attacked by an unknown assailant with magic, knocked unconscious.

Mikayla: (voice over from 5.01 Where You Left Your Heart) "Hayley said she'd only be gone a few minutes, but then she never came back."

From 5.01 "Where You Left Your Heart", during the phone call with her family, Kassandra turned to look at Lucien, nodding. "I'm on my way."

From 5.01 "Where You Left Your Heart", in the courtyard, Mikayla and Kacie were sitting together, feet propped up on the table in front of them. Kacie had her arm around Mikayla. Mikayla had her head on Kacie's shoulder.

"Mikayla, listen, Tory and Lyla keep having these psychic dreams," Kacie explained. "Rae too, apparently. About blood spewing from faucets. Water turning into blood. Blood raining from the sky. Plants and flowers dying everywhere."

"Well, it would appear to be escalating," Mikayla agreed. "Biblical sounding."

From 5.01 "Where You Left Your Heart", in the bell tower, Lyla saw that the plant had withered and died, and that the water had turned to blood. In the courtyard, Klaus noticed that the water in a fountain turned to blood. In France, Lucien noticed that the water in a fountain turned to blood.

Marcel: (voice over from 5.01 Where You Left Your Heart) "So we're having psychics predicting that the end could possibly be nigh."

From 5.01 "Where You Left Your Heart", in the warehouse, Maia was casting a spell, trying to piece together a soul piece by piece, which glowed with Hellfire, while everywhere else, everyone noticed that it started to rain blood.

Emma: (voice over from 5.01 Where You Left Your Heart) "All we know? Is that something is coming. Nothing but darkness. Like we've never known."

Maia was close to finishing her spell on restoring the soul that looked like Hellfire. The Hellfire soul morphed into Rosalita.

Tory: (voice over from 5.01 Where You Left Your Heart) "How will we know if we're at the end of the beginning, or the beginning of the end?"

Maia smiled when she realized that her spell worked. "Welcome back, Rosalita."

Rosalita realized that even though she was still dead, she was back, smiling, starting to laugh in awe.

Day One

Night - Abattoir Cound - Rae's Room

(Song:) Speechless - Bethany Mota, Matt Slays

Rae was laying down in bed, listening to music, gazing up at the ceiling. She started to feel sick for a moment, coughing, sitting up to spit blood into the trash can next to her bed, used to this routine whenever she had gone however short or long periods without having evil souls to feed on to keep her from getting sick, rolling her eyes, sighing, laying down again, remembering when this had happened when she was a kid.

Flashback - Five Years Ago

Day - Salvatore Boarding School - Field

Young Hope, Young Rae, Young Emma and Young Danny were outside running around, practicing with their powers. Another young girl, Young Madison, walked up to them.

The four others smiled to see her. "Madison!"

Young Madison smiled. "Hey, guys. You practicing Rae's psychic powers and your guys' magic?"

"Yeah," Young Hope answered. "Emma and Danny have this system where if Emma gets a spell right, she gets a point, if Danny gets a spell right, he gets a point."

"And if Emma gets a spell wrong, then Danny gets a point, and if Danny gets a spell wrong, then Emma gets a point," Young Rae added.

Young Madison smiled. "Sounds cool. Tory was just teaching me more about psychic energy, too, because how close being a Banshee is to being psychic like she is, and like Rae is."

"Oh, Hope and Rae wanted to give Aunt Tory and Uncle Luke a chance at having a kid, too," Young Emma explained. "And being that they were all loopholes, they could do it. Aunt Tory and Uncle Luke just had Lyla two years ago. Lyla's two. Why could it have not happened?"

Young Danny shrugged. "Why not? All right, Emma, focus on the point system."

Young Madison smiled. "Okay, I can help with that. What's a spell to lock and seal a door of a room?"

"Vis porta," Young Danny answered.

"Claudo te," Young Emma answered. "Or vis sera portus."

"Both are right," Young Hope told them. "Point for both of you."

"Let's see who can cast a glamour spell," Young Rae told them excitedly.

Young Emma got excited for this one, waving a hand over her face. "Mutare seu rosto." When Young Emma's glamour spell worked, a haze covered her face, before the spell made her look like Young Madison. They all laughed. Young Emma/Madison danced. "Point for me."

Young Emma let the Young Madison glamour fade from her face.

"That was impressive," Young Madison told them. "Let's see who can cast a fire spell that is completely controlled."

Young Danny and Young Emma both turned to cast a fire spell on the grass far away from the kids so they wouldn't get hurt. "Incendia!"

Young Danny's fire spell was very controlled, while Young Emma's was a bit uncontrolled, making the kids jump and back away.

Young Hope waved her hand to distinguish both flames. "Adiuuatur."

"Emma's not good at fire spells yet," Young Danny pointed out. "But I am, so point for me."

"So it's a tie," Young Rae told them.

The kids laughed.

"All right, Madison, your turn," Young Emma told her. "Let's see you do a Banshee scream."

"I don't know, guys," Young Madison told them. "I've never tried to Banshee scream intentionally. I only screamed once."

"You can do this," Young Hope told her. "You gotta learn to control your power so it won't control you."

"Who taught you that?" Young Madison asked.

"Tory and Lindsey," the other kids answered, while Young Emma and Young Danny called Tory 'Aunt Tory', and Lindsey 'Mom'.

Young Madison smirked. "Of course they did."

"Just try it," Young Rae told her.

"What would I even scream at?" Young Madison asked.

"We thought of that, too," Young Danny told her.

"Go, Hope," Young Rae told her.

Young Hope held her hand toward a water compartment, using magic to make the water levitate and start to take the form of a dummy. "There."

Young Emma and Young Danny held out their hands, using magic to make the water dummy freeze and turn into ice, smiling at their accomplishment, high fiving. "Point for us."

Young Rae smiled. "Now you can go, Madison."

"Are you sure this is a good idea?" Young Madison asked. "I don't want to do something wrong and make Miss Forbes and Mr. Mikaelson mad at me."

"They told you already several times to call them Eliza and Kol," Young Hope told her.

"Fine, Eliza and Kol," Young Madison agreed.

"If you don't want to do it, it's fine, Madison," Young Danny told her.

"But if you want to do it, and you're just afraid something would happen, don't be," Young Emma told her. "We got your back, remember?"

"Do you trust us?" Young Rae asked.

"Yeah, I do," Young Madison answered.

"Then go ahead," Young Hope told her.

The other kids backed away. Young Madison took a deep breath of concentration, making dark circles appear around her eyes, making her eyes glow silverish white, taking a deep breathing, releasing a low level Banshee scream, but it was more than enough to shatter the ice dummy in front of her, making the pieces of ice fall. Young Danny, Young Emma, Young Rae and Young Hope covered their ears from the sound. Young Madison stopped screaming, falling to her knees, a little tired after her second Banshee scream of her life. The other kids ran closer, kneeling with her.

"That was amazing," Young Rae told her.

"Really?" Young Madison asked.

Young Danny nodded. "You were so badass."

"If it wasn't clear that you were one of us already, this just proves it," Young Hope told her.

"Why?" Young Madison asked.

"Because we are all badass, duh," Young Emma answered.

The kids laughed, until Young Rae started to feel sick, starting to cough. The other kids looked at her in concern.

"Rae?" Young Madison asked. "Are you okay?" Young Rae shook her head, coughing up blood onto the ground. The other kids gasped, running closer as Young Rae started to fall, catching her so she didn't faint. "Rae!"

Young Hope yelled out to the school. "Kaylin! Aunt Eliza!"

Hearing the kids call for help, Kaylin and Eliza immediately rushed outside, seeing what was happening to Young Rae, and knowing exactly what was happening, rushing closer in worry, horrified.

Kaylin took hold of Young Rae in her arms. "Rae!"

"Eliza, what's happening?" Young Madison asked.

"It's a long, long, long story, Madison," Eliza told her. "Just..."

Kaylin stood with Young Rae in her arms. "I need to call Klaus."

Eliza nodded in agreement.

-----

Hope/Rae's Dorm Room

Kaylin placed Young Rae on her bed, trying to keep her okay, making the call. Eliza walked closer.

Klaus was in Nicola and Elijah's bar with them and Kassandra, visiting, while the four were chuckling. His phone rang. He pulled it out, seeing who it was. "It's Kaylin."

"Oh, put it on speaker," Nicola told him.

Klaus nodded, answering, putting the phone on speaker. "Hello, love. What a pleasure to receive a call from my lovely wife."

"Nik, Rae is getting sick again," Kaylin told him.

Klaus, Nicola, Elijah and Kassandra all became very worried.

"What?" Kassandra asked.

"Emma, Hope, Danny, Rae and Madison were out on the field practicing their powers when Rae started to get sick," Eliza explained. "Back in New Orleans, we didn't have to worry about it, because we were killing off the Hollow's followers in groups at a time, so Rae had the souls of the wicked to feed on, but now..."

"Rae hasn't had an evil soul to feed on in years," Elijah finished gravely, worriedly. "Kaylin. Eliza? Is she... is she dying?"

Kaylin had tears in her eyes, shaking her head. "I have no idea."

Eliza took Kaylin's arm comfortingly. "No, no, no. It's okay, Kaylin."

Kassandra looked as if this was what set her in motion of killing vampires over the next five years in order to help Nicola and Rae, looking from Nicola to the phone. "Listen to Eliza, Kaylin. Things are going to be okay. Rae is going to be okay. I promise."

Kassandra stood, walking away, leaving Klaus, Nicola and Elijah looking after her in confusion.

Now

Night - Abattoir Compound - Rae's Room

Rae was still laying down, thinking of the past. Hope and Madison walked in.

"Hey, Rae," Madison told her. "I think Kassandra's almost here."

Rae smiled, sitting up, looking at her bracelet.

"Is that the bracelet that Tory made for you?" Hope asked. "To make sure that you don't have to listen to everyone's thoughts all day every day?"

"Yeah, she's making one for Lyla, too," Rae answered. "I mean, listening to voices in my head every day just from psychic abilities drives me insane. Which is why Tory made me a bracelet to where I could turn that off if I wore it. So it doesn't drive me insane, and she's making one for Lyla for the same reason. Being a psychic, seeing what I see, hearing what I hear, I can somewhat see why Rosalita went so psycho after 2000 years."

Hope and Madison shrugged in agreement.

Downstairs Living Room

Klaus, Kaylin, Freya, Mikayla and Riley were in the room, waiting for Kassandra.

Kassandra walked in. "Not a surprise to see Niklaus and Kaylin got the life they've always wanted with Hope and Rae. Even Kol and Eliza have an adoptive daughter in the form of Madison Fell. Mikayla Labonair, I assume you're still madly in love with Kacie Lockwood. And Riley Grey's worried about his missing bride Hayley. What about you, Freya? Missing Keelin? Well, despite everything, I'm glad that Fells, Davis-Thompsons, Salvatores, Mikaelsons, Forbes, Lockwoods, Labonairs, Greys, Gerard, Castle, Rayvnnes, Harris and Dumaines could still get their happy endings." They all smiled to see Kassandra. Klaus, Kaylin, Freya and Mikayla each embraced Kassandra. Kassandra chuckled, looking at Freya. "Sister, the years have been kind to you, as I am sure that they've been kind to Lindsey Davis-Thompson and Auria Rayvnne."

Freya chuckled. "You know, just sun block, the loves of our lives, and literal witchcraft."

"Speaking of Auria, you should know that Marcel finally proposed to the witch," Klaus told her. "Caitlin and Noah seem to be heading down that direction as well. Whatever family that the Rayvnne, Gerard, Harris and Dumaine make up, since we never had an easier name to say for their little adoptive family, they are all about to tie the knot."

Kassandra smiled. "It's about bloody time."

They all chuckled.

"Hope, Rae and Madison are upstairs," Kaylin told her. "They, Emma and Danny were in quite the mission of finding you to help you with your madness."

"Well, here I am," Kassandra told them. "They don't need to find me. And I am quite fine, thank you very much."

"Really?" Mikayla asked in concern. "I mean, the things that we've been hearing over the last couple years..."

Kassandra sighed. "I'm dealing with it, Mikayla. As much as I can. I have no intention of losing control and hurting those I love, or strangers that don't deserve the wrath of a broken beast. Once we've found Hayley, it might be safer for me to stay away completely."

"And maybe you'll be more open to talking to all of us and telling us why you've spiraled so far," Riley told her.

Kassandra tilted her head. "Riley." Riley smirked sarcastically. The others chuckled. "The entire world reeks of blood. Lucien and I saw it raining blood in France. Lucien has no intention of infecting anyone with the darkness he carries inside of him, so he is keeping his deal and staying away to protect Hope, Rae, Emma and Danny. What the bloody hell was with the rain blood, anyway?"

"Tory, Lyla and Rae have been having psychic visions predicting water turning into blood," Freya explained. "They didn't know what it meant or why it happened, but now that it has happened, we're all worried."

"No story that begins with water turning into blood has ever ended in triumph," Klaus pointed out.

"We need to find out what's causing it and getting it to stop before it gets worse," Riley told them. "And maybe that means with starting by finding Hayley."

Hope, Rae and Madison walked into the room, seeing all of them.

"Aunt Sandra?" Hope asked.

Kassandra looked at the three girls, smiling slightly. "Hope. Rae. Madison."

Hope and Rae immediately walked closer to embrace Kassandra. Kassandra chuckled, returning the embrace. The others smiled at this.

Madison walked closer. "I know that we haven't had much time to get close like you have with Hope and Rae, Kassandra, but I still missed you."

Kassandra chuckled. "I missed you too, Madison. All of you."

Madison and Kassandra also embraced.

Day Two

Morning - Warehouse

Rosalita was twirling around in the warehouse after being brought back by Maia, smiling. "Maia."

Maia smirked. "Rosalita. Welcome back."

Rosalita laughed. "I'm back again. Guess it's true what they say. True evil never truly dies, it's just reborn again and again."

"I haven't seen you in years, and that's the best you can come up with?" Maia asked.

"What did you expect, a hug?" Rosalita replied. "Some milk and cookies? You know I was never that type of girl, Maia."

"A thank you would do just fine," Maia told her.

"I raised you since you were a baby, had you look after Valentina Petrova and Lucien Castle when he still thought he was Niklaus Mikaelson while I was busy with other endeavors," Rosalita pointed out. "How many thank yous did I get for that?"

"You're walking the earth again, so how is that for a thank you?" Maia countered.

"You manage to live and learn long enough to bring me back," Rosalita told her. "How is that for a thank you?"

Maia scoffed, unsurprised. "Not even close. But I missed you, Rosa."

Rosalita smirked. "Of course you missed me. I'm amazing."

"You truly are a bitch," Maia told her.

Rosalita smiled, twirling in the sunlight. "The baddest of all."

"So what's the plan?" Maia asked.

Rosalita walked to the entrance of the warehouse, taking a deep breath, looking disgusted. "I can smell the happiness of my enemies from here."

Maia walked closer, standing next to Rosalita. "Things have been perfect for them without you interfering with their lives."

Rosalita tilted her head. "Well, let's change that, shall we? Come now, Maia. I have a city to destroy, people to slaughter, enemies to drive into insanity, and hell of a lot of death to deliver. Let's not waste any time."

Maia smirked, tilting her head. "Hell is coming for them."

Rosalita chuckled, turning to face Maia. "They thought they destroyed Hell, and solved all their problems. Don't they know by now that the only Hell they should fear is me?"

Rosalita let her eyes glow red with fire, smirking, laughing gleefully, evilly.

Rousseau's

(Song:) Heart Is Full - Miike Snow

Marcel, Noah, Caitlin, Josh, the vampires and Auria were giving a toast to Poppy, pouring shots.

Noah raised a glass. "The Crescent City, she gives and gives, but hell if it doesn't hurt when she takes. We raise a glass to a woman who relished in the joy of New Orleans, and then fell prey to her, as many do. To Poppy, who lived a century, and was still taken far too soon."

Everyone repeated. "To Poppy."

"But if I die, no tequila," Josh told them. "No, I want wailing, sobbing in the streets, rainbow flags waving at half-mast."

"Caitlin, Auria, I'm sorry," Noah told them. "I know she was a friend."

"So, that's it?" Greta asked. "A toast? A platitude? What about justice?"

"Excuse me?" Caitlin asked.

"It was a beautiful speech, Noah Dumaine, but Poppy wasn't prey to the city of New Orleans," Greta told him. "She was gutted by a jacked up half-breed who can't control his aggression."

"Greta, he's 15," Auria told her. "Mikayla Labonair and the Crescents will handle Henry."

"The Crescents are building their float and toasting to a prosperous year," Greta told them. "They're protecting him."

Caitlin sighed, turning to Marcel, Noah and Auria, annoyed. "Look, don't worry about her. She's been here for a couple of years now, but overall, she's a pretty upstanding citizen. We're all just a little on edge at the smell of blood."

"I don't like her tone," Marcel told them. "When there's one voice of dissent, there's usually more. You know that, Noah. What have you heard?"

Marcel, Noah and Caitlin heard something outside.

Kassandra was outside with Klaus. "Marcel. Noah. Caitlin. I know you can hear me. Why don't you bring Auria out so we can all have a chat?"

Marcel, Noah and Caitlin were surprised to hear Kassandra's voice, looking at Auria.

"What?" Auria asked.

"Kassandra's back," Caitlin answered. "She wants to talk outside."

Auria nodded in understanding, taking a shot. Marcel, Noah, Caitlin and Auria walked away.

Outside

Marcel, Noah, Caitlin and Auria walked outside, joining Klaus and Kassandra.

"Kassandra," Caitlin told her.

Kassandra smirked. "Hello, Caitlin. I heard you and Noah were moving in the direction of finally tying the knot, while Marcel actually proposed to Auria. As I've said to my family, about bloody time."

Caitlin smirked. "Hilarious."

Caitlin and Kassandra embraced, pulling away so Auria and Kassandra could embrace.

"Are you okay?" Auria asked.

"Auria, you know I hate being asked that," Kassandra told her.

"What are you doing here?" Marcel asked. "I thought you were across the world, losing your damn mind all over again."

"Long story, which I promise will be explained," Kassandra told them.

Klaus chuckled. "Crashing a funeral, our favorite way to spend a Friday night."

"It's good to see you, after all this time," Kassandra told them.

"It's good to see you, too," Auria told her. "What's going on?"

"Hayley's missing," Kassandra answered. "It's been days. Don't worry, I don't plan on hurting anyone unless it comes to it, and if it means that I get to help my family."

Noah nodded in understanding, worried about Hayley. "What do you need from us?"

"I can go to Freya, Tory, Lindsey, Ryan, Emma and Danny," Auria explained. "I'm supposed to meet up with them anyway about the blood rain, and we can figure out what we can do about Hayley. Lyla and Luke are gonna be around, too. Let me and your sister talk to the Davis-Thompsons. I'm sure we can figure something out."

Klaus nodded. "Thank you, Auria."

-----

The French Quarter

Luke, Tory and Lyla were walking through the Quarter, finding where Freya, Auria, Ryan, Lindsey, Emma and Danny were sitting, walking closer.

Freya handed out coffee. "Americano with extra remorse. I'm sorry I haven't called you guys. Emergency on top of emergency. A family emergency."

"Yeah, well, it's gonna take something a hell of a lot stronger than coffee for me to be able to deal with Mikaelson family emergencies," Luke joked teasingly.

"Yeah, well, I thought you might say that, so yours is more whiskey than it is coffee," Freya replied. Luke smirked at how well Freya knew him by now. "Take a big gulp, Luke, because all of you should know Kassandra is in town."

"Finally?" Emma asked. "So maybe we can help Kassandra with whatever's going on with her mind again?"

"That's the only thing that Emma, Rae, Hope, Madison and I were trying to do, other than reunite the family," Danny explained. "Help Kassandra."

"Yeah, we can, wishfully," Ryan answered. "But we also have our hands full with Tory, Lyla and Rae's psychic visions about water turning to blood coming true. And the weatherman was talking about some 'freak meteorological phenomenon', but ain't nobody stupid, because I know what blood in my eyes feels like, huh?"

"Hayley's missing, Ryan," Auria told him. "Kassandra is in town to find her, which we will, and then she's going to leave. And so will Keelin and Freya. Even Marcel and I might need some time away from the city." The others were confused by what she meant, so Auria held up her hand to show them the engagement ring on her finger. The others chuckled knowingly, nodding. Auria smiled. "But, hey, in the meantime, why don't we tap more into the psychic visions to find out what to do next?"

"We need something serious, Auria," Lindsey told her.

Auria nodded, smirking. "I'm being serious. Look, if something sends a shiver down your spine, Lindsey and I can help tap into Tory and Lyla's minds to see the visions, but we'll need Luke and Ryan to anchor us to do the spell, and then I can do a few tarot cards, and we can get our answer."

Freya smiled, taking Auria's hand. "Auria Rayvnne, I'm gonna miss you when we all head our separate ways again. I'll miss Marcel Gerard, Noah Dumaine and Caitlin Harris, too."

They all chuckled. "Yeah."

Freya chuckled. "And definitely the Davis-Thompsons."

They smiled.

Abattoir Compound - Hope's Room

Hope was still in her pajamas, going through her drawers to pick out clothes for the morning. She heard a thud, walking toward her window/doors to the balcony.

A vampire named Roman was outside on the balcony. "Marshall."

Hope opened the doors. "Uh... Roman. You're at my house."

"Yeah, I--I needed to talk to you, so, uh..." Roman trailed off.

Hope was very nervous. "Oh, um, how do you know where I live?"

"Oh, well, Lindsey and Ryan's got parent contacts in their file cabinet," Roman answered. "Which is where Ryan keeps his emergency bourbon, so I'm intimately familiar. Can I come in?"

Hope nodded. "Mm-hmm."

"You know I'm a vampire, right?" Roman asked.

Hope nodded. "Mm-hmm."

"So I, uh, kind of need you to say it out loud," Roman explained.

Hope realized he was right, shaking her head at her foolishness. "Oh, right. Yeah, come in."

Roman stepped in. "Cute jammies."

"Um, so why do you need to talk to me?" Hope asked.

"Yeah, um, look, people are saying all this stuff about Henry at school," Roman told her. "That he died. And that he killed himself."

"You know, your friends bullied him all the time," Hope told him. "He went through hell."

Roman nodded. "I know. Okay? That's why I'm here. I should pay my respects or something. I let them push him around. Make fun of his poetry, his clothes. And now... I can't sleep."

Hope looked at him sympathetically. "Henry's not dead. He's fine. Look, I have to get dressed, I have somewhere to be. Could you, like, turn?"

Roman nodded, turning away. "Oh. Yeah."

Hope chuckled. "Yeah."

Roman noticed Hope's reflection in the mirror next to him, but looked away from the mirror. "Where are you going? It's barely even dawn."

Hope walked behind a dresser to get dressed. "It's a long story."

"Lizzie Saltzman said she saw Henry jump from the turret," Roman told her. "A werewolf wouldn't survive that kind of fall."

Hope scoffed, now dressed. "Yeah. Well, Lizzie also said that I exploded an orphanage with my brain when I was eight, and she calls my step sister Rae the Devil because she's psychic and can read anyone's minds. She's nice to my adoptive cousin Madison because she's her adoptive cousin too thanks to my step aunt Eliza being the sister to her mother, but she calls our friends Emma and Danny freaks for being half-wolf, half-witch. You can, uh, look now."

Roman turned to face her. "Yeah, I--I heard about all that. I also heard that you're all part of some weird cult. So, what is your secret, Marshall?"

Hope didn't answer, still very nervous. "Could y--could you maybe wait here? I won't be long."

"Yeah," Roman answered.

Hope left her room.

Street

Madison and Rae were walking together, finding Emma and Danny along the way.

"Hey," Emma told them. "We heard that Kassandra's back."

"Yeah," Madison answered. "She's around here somewhere. Emma, Danny, I thought you guys were gonna be with Auria, Lindsey, Ryan, Tory, Luke and Lyla trying to find out more about what could be coming."

"Yeah, we were, but then we heard that Kassandra's back, so now we can try to help her like we were talking about," Danny explained.

"Well, first, we have to find her," Rae told them. "Hope should be here soon, too."

Kassandra was across the Quarter, seeing the four kids, smiling slightly, until Rae started to cough, looking at her worriedly. The kids also became worried.

"Rae?" Danny asked.

"You didn't tell us that you were getting sick again," Emma told her.

"It just happened again last night," Rae explained. "I'm fine. Don't worry about me."

"Are you seriously telling us not to worry about you when you could die from getting sick like that without evil souls to feed on?" Madison asked.

"Madison--" Rae started, before she was cut off by another cough, releasing blood to the ground.

Kassandra was getting irritated, frustrated because of Rae's sickness returning so quickly, turning around, looking around for a target.

Alley

Kassandra walked down the alley, whistling 'When the Saints Go Marching In', finding a vampire feeding on a tourist, rushing toward him, pushing him back. "You know, for a vampire who knows he's breaking the rules of the King of Quarter Marcel Gerard, Prince Noah Dumaine, and Princess Caitlin Harris, you're awfully chipper."

"You might avoid sneaking up on a vampire while feeding," the vampire told her.

Kassandra transformed, letting her eyes glow red. "And you might avoid picking a fight with an Enhanced Original Vampire."

The vampire realized who she was, afraid. "Kassandra Mikaelson."

Kassandra smirked, still transformed. "You've heard of me. Great."

Kassandra rushed, using her arm to decapitate the vampire, letting the headless body fall. She turned around, looking as if she couldn't calm down, breathing heavily. Hope, Rae, Emma, Danny and Madison heard the kill from the street nearby, walking into the alley.

Rae used mind control to calm Kassandra down. "Seriously, Sandra?"

Kassandra looked worried that the teens would find out why she was killing vampires like this. The five teens were worried, concerned and stunned to see her like this.

(Song:) Stronger - The Score

Maia was sitting down in a lounge chair with her feet propped up, watching Rosalita, wearing sunglasses over her eyes for whenever Rosalita succeeded in whatever she was doing, trying not to laugh, but she couldn't help it anymore, bursting out laughing.

Rosalita, trying to use her powers on two stoners, turned to give Maia a look, gritting her teeth. "What's so funny?"

Maia shook her head, hiding a smile. "I'm sorry, it's just..." She laughed again. "What do you think they are, dogs?"

"At least dogs listen," Rosalita told her. "These crack heads aren't doing anything."

"You should ask them to go fetch while you're at it," Maia mocked. "If that doesn't take a lot out of you."

Rosalita rolled her eyes. "You're not helping."

Maia smirked. "Not trying to."

"Why don't you make yourself useful?" Rosalita asked.

"You mean besides taking over almost ten years of my life, dedicating it into finding pieces of your burned soul to piece together bit by bit so after all this time, I could finally bring you into the world again?" Maia asked, taking off her sunglasses, twirling them around in her hand boredly. "That's why you're having issues with your powers, Rosalita. Because your soul was literally burned to a crisp by Hellfire, but luckily, given my psychic abilities and my relation to you, no matter how distantly, how many greats you are grandmother..." Rosalita rolled her eyes. "I was finally able to put your soul back together and bring you back."

"As a ghost that can't use her powers or touch anything," Rosalita told her. "Great job, Maia."

"Oh, I am very certain that once you're healed enough, at least your soul, you'll be able to use your powers again," Maia told her. "Guarantee it."

"Fine," Rosalita told her. "Then get my mind off of it. Tell me, what have my little toys been up to while I've been gone?"

Maia rolled her eyes, tilting her head back and forth, giving in, putting the tip of one end of the sunglasses between her teeth. "Fine. First of all, all your toys are now all besties and have forgiven each other for all their run ins."

Rosalita looked at her in disbelief. "What? No. That's impossible. I made them hate each other. Betray each other. Try to kill, and actually kill each other. How can they be friends now?"

"They bonded over how much you screwed them all up," Maia answered. "You could say you're the creator of their friendships." She laughed. "After you dedicated your life to try to destroy them all. That's what I call irony."

"It's not funny," Rosalita told her.

"You're right," Maia agreed, still amused, smiling. "It's hilarious."

Rosalita glared at her. "Stop laughing."

Maia chuckled. "Fine."

Maia leaned her head back, putting her sunglasses on, smirking, relaxing.

Noah/Caitlin's Loft - Living Room

Noah and Caitlin were sparring together, training.

"Do you know how long it's been since we've actually been able to train like this?" Caitlin asked. "Can't believe that I missed it. And whatever's coming our way, we need all the help we can get to get stronger and better at fighting because whatever it is, it has everyone scared, Noah."

Noah nodded in agreement. "Yeah. And the best way we can help is by helping the others find Hayley and by preparing for whatever is coming, Caitlin."

Noah tried to punch Caitlin. Caitlin ducked, pushing his arm away, hard enough to make him spin and face her again, trying to kick him in the face. Noah raised an arm to block the move, catching her arm as she tried to punch him, still having hold of her leg as well, using them to flip her through the air. Caitlin spun through the air to land on her feet in a crouch, looking up, smirking.

Maia was still sitting in her lounge chair, wearing sunglasses, watching Rosalita with an amused smirk, tilting her head, chuckling, shaking her head, looking away.

Rosalita turned to face the humans. "Tell me what else is different."

"Well, your Doppelganger Tory Donovan got married to Luke Thompson and took his name," Maia answered.

"Seriously?" Rosalita asked. "The good taste sure went down through our lineage."

"Didn't you once kiss Luke?" Maia asked.

Rosalita looked as if she was just remembering that, shrugging it off. "Not the point."

Maia smirked. "Hey, I'm not blaming you for kissing Luke, or Tory for marrying him. He is hot and snarky but not a complete dick. But in more shocking news, Tory, along with Hope Mikaelson and Rae Salvatore, the three major loopholes in the universe, made Luke capable of giving her a child, so now they have a daughter named Lyla. She was a born tribrid like Hope, both of whom have vampire blood in their systems, not complete vampires yet, and both are untriggered werewolves so far. Lyla is only seven or eight, I believe. Plus, Lyla got the psychic gene from our bloodline, on top of being a tribrid."

Rosalita turned to face Maia in shock. "Wait. So not only did that Dopple-bitch help my entire bloodline kill me, but she got to have a child and get married as well? Luke and Lyla..."

"Yep," Maia answered.

Rosalita was getting angry. The warehouse was beginning to shake, but neither Rosalita or Maia noticed yet.

Nicola and Elijah were starting to train as well, with staffs.

"So not only do we have a bar together, but you bought out this gym, just so you can make sure that I am letting out all of my Huntress energy, on you, just so that I won't lose control and let her take over, even without any vampires around, Elijah," Nicola told him. "Can't decide if I'm touched or flattered that my Original husband can do all of this for his Huntress of a wife."

Elijah chuckled. "You can be both, Nicola."

Nicola used her staff to hit Elijah in the face, spinning around to hit him with it again, making him turn away, throwing the staff into his stomach, spinning to try and kick him in the head. Elijah raised an arm to block the move. Nicola spun closer to hit him in the stomach with the staff. Elijah caught her arm, spinning her away, trying to punch her which she blocked and spun underneath his arm to stand in front of him with her back to his chest, flipping him over her shoulder to the floor. Elijah rolled up to a standing position without missing a beat, turning to face Nicola.

Rosalita took a deep breath, hoping to calm down. "Keep talking."

Maia tilted her head back against her lounge chair as she thought of what to tell her next, taking a sip of a margarita. "Lindsey Davis-Thompson and Ryan Thompson opened up a school for the supernatural back in Mystic Falls, and they have two teen twin children, a boy and a girl, named Danny and Emma. They run the school together."

Rosalita scoffed. "Lindsey and Ryan always were nerds, so I'm not surprised, by any of these so called Davis-Thompsons. Emma and Danny would be half-witch, half-werewolf then, right?"

"Yep," Maia answered. "Emma and Danny are best friends with Hope and Rae, and a girl named Madison Fell. What makes it more interesting is that all four of them were possessed by your project the Hollow when they were kids, so they are all pretty dark, withdrawn and to themselves after that tramatic childhood experience, except for when it comes to their friendship with Madison Fell, the Banshee."

Rosalita smirked. "I could use that to my advantage. Oh, poor Emma and Danny and this Banshee girl Madison Fell. They have no idea what's coming for them. What about the others from Mystic Falls?"

"Little Liv Gilbert is now Little Liv Hunter," Maia explained. "You saw Liv and Cristian Hunter got married, and Alex Gilbert and Stefan Salvatore get married, making her Alex Salvatore now. Damon Salvatore and Elena Salvatore as well. They are all human now and they all have kids."

"Has everybody gotten the PHD on parenting?" Rosalita asked. "What's up with all the kids running around? Damn it. Oh, well, I guess I'm gonna have to do something about them, too. Tell me about Kaylin and Nicola Salvatore."

"Well, Elijah and Nicola, and Kaylin and Klaus are married," Maia explained. "Salvatores and Mikaelsons are officially family. Kassandra also got married to Lucien Castle, but she kept her Mikaelson last name. I guess it was Kassandra's way of being close to her family even though she couldn't be close to them because of the Hollow."

"No surprise about Nicola, Elijah, Kaylin and Klaus," Rosalita told her. "Of course little niece Nikki and Kaylin would jump on the Mikaelson train the first chance they got now that I wasn't in the picture to ruin the Salvatore girls's happiness. But what do you mean, Kassandra and Lucien Castle are married? Last time I heard, Lucien was dead, and Kassandra became the beast and destroyed her family, so how can they be together?"

"Well, Tory got the way on how to save them from your head before she killed you, so they all got better," Maia answered. "They also helped save Kassandra's mind, somewhat, though Kassandra still has some issues with madness. The Hollow resurrected Lucien in order to get leverage against Kassandra, but then they saved Lucien, and Kassandra and Lucien got married. Oh, let's not forget the long lost Mikaelson sister Freya, who found love with a werewolf named Keelin Malraux. And Mikayla Labonair-Kenner actually found love again after her husband died in the form of Kacie Lockwood."

Rosalita looked at her in shock. "I knew that Kacie Lockwood went both ways ever since I had Valentina Petrova hook up with her and her ex boyfriend, but I never in a million years thought that she would ever fall in love with someone in the extended Mikaelson family, let alone Mikayla Labonair-Kenner."

"Yep," Maia answered. "Hmm, Noah Dumaine and Caitlin Harris are no longer the queen and king of the Strix since Elijah's sireline died off, but they are still Prince and Princess of the Quarter in New Orleans. Marcel Gerard is still the King of the Quarter, and Auria Rayvnne is still the queen of the witches of the city. I think Marcel just proposed to Auria for marriage, too. Even Hayley Marshall, who I have tucked away nicely in a box, found love with a werewolf named Riley Grey, and they got married I don't know how many years ago."

Rosalita was getting angrier, clenching her fists. The warehouse shook a little again, but Rosalita still didn't notice, however Maia did, but Maia didn't say anything. Maia took off her sunglasses, looking around at the shaking warehouse, realizing something, smirking in realization.

Noah and Caitlin's Loft - Living Room

Caitlin stood, spinning to backhand punch Noah in the face, punching him twice in the chest and stomach. Noah kicked her back, trying to flip her to the floor. Caitlin spun free of the restraint, rushing to kick him twice, trying to punch him in the face. Noah caught her arm, spinning her around like in a dance, pulling her close to face him. They both looked at each other, smirking. Taking him by surprise, Caitlin punched him in the side, pushing him back, spinning to kick him. Noah caught her leg, flipping her through the air, letting her go. Caitlin backflipped through the air to land on her feet, spinning to kick him back, trying to punch him. Noah caught her arm, twisting her around to restrain her from behind with her arm behind her back, and Noah's arms around her.

Caitlin chuckled, tilting her head back against his. "Pretty badass."

"Says one of the most badass females in New Orleans, Caitlin Harris," Noah replied. "Then again, this city is filled with badass girls like you."

Caitlin chuckled. "And badass guys like you. And I can't take all the credit. I had a lot of good teachers. Noah Dumaine, the Strix."

Noah flipped Caitlin to the ground, pinning her, kneeling over her, holding her wrists to the floor on either side of her head. Caitlin and Noah looked at each other, clearly high on an adrenaline rush, smiling, laughing lightly.

"You've gotten better, still," Noah told her.

"Better?" Caitlin repeated. "That's all you have to say?"

Noah smirked. "What do you want me to say? You're a remarkable fighter for a vampire who only turned like 12 years ago, that you bring originality to classic moves, and that you were one feisty badass human and even more so as a vampire?"

Caitlin smiled, nodding. "Yeah. Yeah, I want you to say all those things."

Noah chuckled in amusement. "We should get going, Caitlin."

Caitlin smiled, nodding. "Yeah. Yeah, we should get going."

Still on the floor in the same position with Noah above Caitlin pinning her wrists to the floor on either side of her head, Caitlin and Noah smiled at each other, leaning closer to kiss passionately. Noah smirked, standing, pulling Caitlin up with him.

Nicola and Elijah were still training with the staffs. They both traded blocks and blows with the staffs. Nicola swung hers at his head. Elijah ducked. Nicola spun around him, trying to hit him from behind with the staff. Elijah, without looking behind him, used the staff to block the move from that side. They both turned to the other side, trying to hit the other with their staffs, blocking each other's moves. Nicola spun around to face him, swinging the staff at him repeatedly. Elijah used his to block the moves, ducking. They traded more blocks and blows, catching each other's wrists with the staffs raised, looking at each other, smiling slightly.

"Good," Elijah told her. "Very good."

Nicola smiled. "Thank you."

Elijah chuckled, lowering the staffs. "You're welcome, Nicola."

"I wasn't just talking about the training, Elijah," Nicola told him. "I was talking about everything. Taking me away from all the vampires, letting me take out the Huntress instincts on you like this so it doesn't take control. Everything. I love you."

Elijah put the staffs down, close to Nicola. "I love you, too."

Nicola and Elijah smiled slightly, kissing slowly for a moment, building up in passion. Reaching past Elijah to the table of weapons behind Elijah, Nicola picked up a pair of nunchucks, spinning them around to surprise Elijah with another round. Elijah ducked before the nunchucks could hit him, unsurprised, smirking in amusement, beckoning for Nicola to continue. Nicola smiled as they continued to spar.

Rosalita clenched her teeth. "All this happiness is making me nauseous. Tell me something useful, Maia."

Maia got an idea, smirking, standing. "Well, Rosalita, if you must know, there is also the fact that your little boy toy, Kol? Yeah, he is in a much better place now. He is the happiest he's been in so long. He's not the happy homicidal maniac anymore."

"You're lying," Rosalita told her.

"I'm not, and you know it," Maia told her. "He also got married. Yeah, to Eliza Forbes. And they have an adoptive daughter, that Banshee I told you about, Madison Fell. Can you believe it?"

"Stop it," Rosalita told her.

"Come on, Rosa, I know you're bubbling it all inside," Maia mocked. "Just tell me exactly what you feel."

Rosalita finally vented. "I did so many things, and now all the lies, the plans, the backstabbing, the manipulations to keep the idiots in suffering, it's all gone. They think I went away. How dare they?"

The building was shaking stronger now, the earthquake increasing as Rosalita's anger did.

"Keep going," Maia urged.

"And now that pathetic darker smiling Barbie Eliza Forbes has Kol?" Rosalita asked. "They have an adoptive daughter? Madison Fell, a Banshee? How dare she?"

"Don't forget about Tory," Maia told her. "I mean, can you imagine her glowing around the fact she took you out? People used to quake at your name, and now you are disgraced. The baddest bitch of all, taken out by a wannabe version of her, even though she had the help of everyone descended from your line except for me, every single witch from your bloodline turning against you to help her kill you with Hellfire. What are you gonna do about that?"

Rosalita was now seething. "Who do these people think they are to forget about me? I'm gonna bring so much pain into their lives that they are gonna regret ever thinking that they had won over me."

"How are you gonna do that if you can't even mind control these worthless crackheads, huh?" Maia asked. "Wow, you really have become so pathetic ever since your Doppelganger and the rest of your line burned you to a crisp."

Rosalita was lashing out, becoming even more angry that things around the warehouse started to go up in flames. "I can't control it."

"Yes, you can," Maia told her. "You are Rosalita, remember? The myth, the legend, the baddest bitch of all. You wanna start a war again? You wanna bring chaos? Then get a grip over yourself, over your powers, heal your soul up enough to use them, and get it done."

Rosalita turned around, letting her hands and her eyes start to glow with Hellfire. The humans started to choke.

Rosalita raised her hands, using magic to levitate the two humans, smirking. "They think I am gone. They think some lame fake version of me can destroy me? I will show them exactly who... I... am."

Rosalita released a psychic scream at the humans, making them scream in agony and explode into a rain of flesh and blood, which splattered all over onto Rosalita. She didn't even seem to mind that she was covered in blood and flesh, smirking happily now that she had control back, looking around at the flames around her.

Maia raised her hand to stop the blood from dirtying her, making it freeze in the air in front of her, looking at Rosalita with her hand still in the air, smirking. "Well done."

Rosalita turned to face her. "You knew anger was the key, didn't you?"

Maia smiled. "I figured it out when I saw the small earthquakes."

Rosalita couldn't help but smile. "Well done, baby girl. Now come on. Let's get cleaned up and finally get the war I wanted all along. They have no idea what's coming for them, Maia. You... and me."

Maia smirked evilly. "Let's do it."

Maia put her sunglasses back on, smirking, tilting her head, turning around, walking away toward a table where a spell was set up, starting to do another spell, laughing lightly.

Hope, Rae, Emma, Danny and Madison had just caught Kassandra after she had killed the vampire, and Rae had mind controlled her to calm down.

"Well, you look better, Rae," Madison told her.

"Go home, kids," Kassandra told them.

Hope laughed sarcastically. "You really think we'll leave you after what we saw you just do? Mom's missing, Aunt Sandra. I'm scared."

Kassandra backed away. "I know you are, Hope, and I promise you I will find her, but--"

"But nothing," Madison told her. "Let us help you."

"You can't help me, Madison," Kassandra told her.

"You don't know that," Emma told her. "We're stronger now, Kassandra. We're stronger than anyone ever even thought we could be."

"We can help you, too," Danny told her. "You just have to let us, please. Come back with the compound with us."

Kassandra looked at them for a moment, not knowing what to do or what to say.

Bayou

Marcel, Noah and Caitlin, and their vampires were arriving in the bayou, walking together as a group, standing tall, to talk to the wolves about Henry, knocking over a pyramid made of beer cans.

"Oh, guys, behave," Noah told them. "We're not looking for trouble. We're here for answers."

"Yeah, sorry about the, uh, beeramid, though," Josh apologized.

Riley, Kacie and Mikayla were here with the Crescent wolves.

"Where's Hayley?" Mikayla asked.

"We were wondering the same thing," Lisina told them.

"Guys, look, we're all planning on giving Henry some lessons in self-control," Kacie told them. "Now Hayley is missing, and we don't know where he is, but vampires are breathing down the necks of Marcel Gerard, Noah Dumaine and Caitlin Harris, threatening to rip all of you apart just to get to Henry, and we can't let that happen."

Mikayla pointed to the cabin. "I'm guessing that racing heartbeat in the cabin is his."

"Doesn't matter," Riley told them. "It's my cabin, and you're not invited in."

"Yeah?" Caitlin asked. "Riley, don't make this harder than it has to be. We're trying to stop a war from breaking the peace that we've had for almost eight years, Grey."

"And I'm trying to keep the kid that I took in all those years ago safe from those vampires who want to start a war," Riley replied. "We don't know where Hayley is. I'm not losing Henry, too. Look, Marcel, Noah, Caitlin, you know that I trust you, but I don't trust those other vamps. Not with this."

"Well, we're not leaving because we are actually trying to stop a war from brewing," Marcel told him. "We will happily smoke him out, Riley. The King, Prince and Princess of the city don't require an invitation."

"Really?" Riley asked. "Well, feel free to put a tariff on my tea. Those vamps are not getting their hands on that boy."

Mikayla was frustrated and worried. "Kacie, I don't know what to do. I can't let those vamps kill Henry."

"But you might have to let them take Henry so that there isn't a war about to start," Kacie pointed out. "Mikayla, I'm sorry, but with all of us here, we can't afford a war breaking out, not now."

Mikayla knew that Kacie was right, but was still conflicted and worried about everything, including her missing sister, turning away in frustration.

The French Quarter

Auria, Lindsey, Ryan, Tory and Luke were sitting together at a table. Lyla was running nearby the fountain a little ways away, loving the sound of the water hitting the fountain, giggling. The adults watched her, smiling small smiles.

"Auria, something on your mind?" Lindsey asked.

"Yeah, actually," Auria answered.

"I figured you'd be all smiles after Marcel proposed to you," Ryan told her, taking a drink.

"Well, I am, Ryan, and then I'm conflicted about something," Auria admitted.

"What do you mean?" Luke asked. "What's there to be conflicted about? Auria, you've been with Marcel on and off for more than 15 years now, been steady for more than 12."

"It's something he said when he proposed," Auria answered. "That Marcel knows that I'm a witch and that he'll live longer than me, and that he would never want to ask me to turn into a vampire for him because he knows that I love being a witch and that is who I am at my core. I don't want to stop being a witch, hell, no. I just..."

"You don't want to make Marcel go through the pain of losing you in case you die, of old age, or something sooner," Tory finished.

"Yeah," Auria answered. "And I don't wanna let Noah or Caitlin lose me, either. I mean, Caitlin's already been through so much after her parents tried to sacrifice her, being linked with Marcel, losing Davina repeatedly, being hexed, possessed by the Hollow, so... It's... I don't know." Lindsey, Ryan, Luke and Tory exchanged a knowing look, sighing. Luke nodded to Lindsey. Auria looked between them in confusion. "What?"

"You wanna tell Auria, Lindsey?" Luke asked.

"Tell me what?" Auria asked. Luke smirked. Auria rolled her eyes. "Luke, I'm so not in the mood for one of your games."

"It's not a game, Auria, trust me," Lindsey told her, reaching out to take her hand. "You know how I am a witch, but I'm also a Doppelganger?"

"Yeah," Auria answered. "Whenever you, Freya, Tory and I needed extra power for a spell, we channeled the Doppelganger blood in both of your veins."

"Right, well, our friend, who is a Doppelganger too, her blood was able to create hybrids way back when," Ryan explained. "And now, Hope's blood can turn hybrids."

"But it's Lindsey's blood that could turn Heretics, or just plain witches, into vampire/witch hybrids," Tory explained. "That's why the Heretics wanted Lindsey so badly."

"See, Tory was able to turn into a tribrid, a Heretic Hybrid, because she was able to take Lindsey's blood, and Hope's blood," Luke explained. "Lindsey's blood to keep her witch side, and Hope's blood to keep her wolf side, while she was turning herself into a vampire."

"But you?" Lindsey asked. "Auria, all you would need, if you wanted to, is my blood."

Auria was stunned by all of this, incredibly curious. "Lindsey, are you telling me that you would let me use your blood to turn into a witch/vampire hybrid?"

"If you wanted to become one, yes," Lindsey answered.

"But that's a huge decision, Auria," Ryan told her. "One you shouldn't make lightly."

"You're a badass witch, Auria Rayvnne," Luke told her. "Imagine what kind of badass you could be if you turned into a witch/vampire hybrid, without the needing to siphon any magic from anything, so technically wouldn't make you a Heretic, but close enough."

"But like Ryan said, it's a huge decision," Tory told her. "Just take the time to think it through. Ask Marcel what he thinks. And Noah and Caitlin, since this is partially for them too, according to you. Just don't make a decision in a rush."

Auria nodded in understanding, very stunned with this information, but grateful they would tell her this at all, chuckling lightly. "All right, I will definitely think about it. Thank you, guys."

Lyla appeared next to them, making them jump when she suddenly spoke from right next to them. "Mom, Dad, can I get a quarter for the fountain?"

Tory smiled, taking out a quarter to hand it to Lyla. "Of course. Stay close, Lyla."

Lyla tilted her head. "I can protect myself, Mom."

To prove her point, Lyla made a magical wind blow through the Quarter, blowing through her hair, and Tory, Lindsey and Auria's hair, using her psychic powers to make the Quarter shake just a bit.

Luke chuckled, taking Lyla's hands in his. "We definitely know that you can take care of yourself, Lyla. And it'd be smart not to do that in public, okay? We just wanna make sure you're safe."

Lyla nodded. "Okay, Dad."

Lyla ran away to the fountain. The others watched her go, chuckling.

"All right, so can we go back to the idea Auria and Lindsey had before, about seeing more about the visions that Tory, Rae and Lyla keep having, using me and Luke as anchors, what?" Ryan asked. "Look into the future and reassure us that the sky ain't gonna fall on top of our heads."

"Well, Lindsey and I can go into Tory and Lyla's heads to see what they've seen, since Emma and Danny took off to go help Hope, Rae and Madison with Kassandra," Auria explained.

"Right," Luke agreed. "And this won't hurt Lyla, will it?"

"Not in the least," Lindsey answered. "Lyla will be fine, Luke. Just trust us."

"But Tory and Lyla will have to let us into their heads so that we can pull this off," Auria went on. "Luke, Ryan, you will be there to help anchor me and Lindsey so that we don't get too lost in their thoughts."

"Well, what exactly are we looking for, anyway?" Tory asked. "I mean, the visions, it's like they're predicting the end."

Ryan sighed. "I cannot get through my day without having the feeling that the world might crack open at any moment. Now, if we're the only people who are feeling that way, then maybe we're the only people who can do something about it."

"And that's what this spell is for, Ryan," Lindsey told him. "Auria and I can do it. I know we can."

Freya was sitting on a bench, waiting. "Come on, guys. A little good news would go a long way."

Keelin walked closer. "Maybe I can help with that."

Surprised but ecstatic to hear her, Freya looked up, smiling. "You're early."

"I'm early," Keelin agreed.

Freya stood. "You're here."

"I'm here," Keelin agreed.

Freya embraced her tightly. "You're here."

Keelin chuckled, holding her close. "Oh, yes, baby."

"Hi," Freya told her.

"Hi," Keelin replied.

They smiled, kissing passionately.

Riley's Cabin

In the bayou in Riley's cabin, Henry was shaking on the bed, sweating, looking at Riley. "I don't feel well. I'm so hungry. You should stay away from me."

Riley shook his head. "No."

"The Crescents won't protect me now that..." Henry trailed off.

"Now that you're a hybrid?" Riley finished. "They will, Henry. Mikayla, Hayley, Luke and Kacie are like you, Emma and Danny are half-witch and half-wolf, Hope, Tory and Lyla are tribrids, but they're all part of this pack, and so is Ryan. They've been busy with their families, but they stood up for you. Okay, the Lockwoods, Labonairs, Davis-Thompsons and Mikaelsons are like us. And the Salvatores, Forbes/Fell, Gerard, Rayvnne, Harris and Dumaine are here for us, too."

"But I heard you guys talking outside, Riley," Henry told him. "How they're all trying to stop a war, and that other vampires will go through them to get to me and get a lot of people killed. I have to run."

Josh walked in. "That wouldn't end well. You invited me in last summer. Aiden's brother's birthday, remember? Riley, we're friends. You're friends with Marcel, Noah and Caitlin too, and you know that they are just trying to stop a war, and that starts with Henry."

Henry turned to Riley. "Don't let him take me."

"Look, Henry killed a cool person who didn't deserve to die, Riley," Josh told him. "He can't just go back to geometry class, and I think you know that. Marcel, Noah and Caitlin have two rules, that have to be followed or a war will break out. First, they don't kill vampires. Henry will be punished, but he'll survive."

"What's the sentence?" Riley asked. "Two hundred years in the head garden? No."

Marcel, Noah and Caitlin walked up to the door, but remained calm and relaxed, knowing the difficulty behind this decision. Mikayla and Kacie walked in, both conflicted and worried, both having been invited in since Mikayla was Riley's sister-in-law, and Kacie was her girlfriend.

"Look, our second rule is nobody hurts kids," Marcel told him. "I won't ruin his life, Riley. He'll just do a few years."

"Look at him," Riley told them. "He's a nice kid."

"Not when he's wracked by bloodlust," Noah pointed out. "He needs to dry out, take his punishment. When he gets out, he'll be one of our guys, okay?"

"We don't care if he's half werewolf or half mermaid," Caitlin told him. "We protect our guys. We protect our friends, Riley, and that includes all of you."

"Riley, Mikayla, you know that this is the only way we know how to protect Henry, and stop a war that could get a lot of people killed," Kacie told them. "I know you want to protect him, but you have to let them take him."

"You can be right here waiting for him after," Mikayla told him. "I hate this too, Riley, more than you know, but we have to stop a war, and we can't be distracted by all of this when Hayley, my sister, and your wife, is out there missing. We have to end this and find her before something happens to her. Because I won't let anyone hurt my sister, and I know that you won't let anyone hurt Hayley either, or our family."

Riley knew they were all right, but hated himself and hating this situation for having to do this. "Marcel. Noah. Caitlin."

Henry stood worriedly. "No. Please."

"Come in," Riley told them.

Marcel and Noah rushed in to grab Henry and take him away. Caitlin looked at the others in regret, knowing the conflict it had on all of them to do this, but knowing they had to to stop a war, rushing away to follow Marcel and Noah. Mikayla was so frustrated and conflicted at having to hand over a kid like that, one they promised to help, turning away, holding a hand to her head. Kacie rubbed her arm to comfort her and calm her down.

Abattoir Compound - Downstairs Living Room

Roman was looking around, finding the Hand of Glory in a cabinet.

Hope walked in. "Oh, uh... you weren't in my room. I thought you left."

Roman shook his head. "Still here."

"You weren't scared someone would catch you sniffing around?" Hope asked.

Roman shrugged. "Well, according to my school files, I have a rebellious nature and a callous disregard for authority. So... no."

"Just ask, okay?" Hope asked. "I--I know you want to."

"This is like a house of horrors," Roman told her. "Viking grimoires. A million weird knives. And did you know you have a dead redhead wrapped in a sheet in your parlor?"

"Yeah," Hope answered. "That's my dad's crazy ex, who tried to kill my stepmom Kaylin... repeatedly. It's a sleeping spell. Just no one really knows what to do with her. Pretty sure Kaylin forgot she was even there."

"Normal," Roman told her sarcastically. "Hey, look, I can keep a secret. I got plenty of my own. So, what are you? I mean, you said Kaylin. Like Kaylin, as in Kaylin Salvatore?"

Hope sighed. "Yeah. My step sister Rae? Her real name is Rae Salvatore."

"The psychic brought back to life by the Devil?" Roman asked. "Rae, as in Kaylin and Nicola Salvatore? The Queen of Chicago and the Huntress? Not to mention Stefan and Damon Salvatore, the Ripper of Monterrey and whatever you call the other brother."

"Yeah," Hope answered. "Descended from Rosalita and her brothers, the psychic immortal who destroys everyone's lives, who practically invented dark magic. And my name is Hope Mikaelson. My aunt Mikayla Labonair-Kenner is the Crescent Alpha. My mom is Hayley Marshall, another hybrid like Aunt Mikayla, and like Kacie Lockwood and Luke Thompson. Another aunt is Freya, the new Original Witch. Have two uncles, Kol and Elijah and another aunt by blood, Rebekah. My adoptive cousin, Madison Fell, she was adopted by my Uncle Kol and his wife, Aunt Eliza Forbes, who also works at our school. And my other aunt, Kassandra, is the Kassandra Mikaelson that everyone heard about going bonkers repeatedly, and her husband is the beast Lucien Castle. And my dad is... Niklaus Mikaelson."

Roman took this all in, nodding. "So that makes you..."

Hope nodded. "The mythical tribrid freak show. One of them, at least. I was born this way. Tory Thompson turned herself into a tribrid to save other people, and thanks to me and Rae being the loopholes we are, we were able to help Tory and Luke have their own child, another psychic tribrid, their little daughter Lyla."

"Luke Thompson, as in Luke the hybrid uncle to Emma and Danny Davis-Thompson, the half-witch, half-wolf twins, and brother to Ryan?" Roman asked. "The same Ryan that helps Lindsey run our school? Lyla their cousin is a tribrid?"

Hope nodded. "Yep. Kacie Lockwood, the other hybrid I mentioned, is Tory's sister, and my Aunt Mikayla's girlfriend, who used to be sired to my dad and a bunch of other stuff. My blood turns werewolves into vampire hybrids. And my kiss turns princes into frogs. Maybe. The theory remains untested."

Roman reached out to brush her hair back. "It must have been so lonely, keeping your lives a secret all this time."

Hope looked at him.

They heard Kassandra from downstairs. "Hope! Rae! Emma! Danny! Madison! Are we doing this or what?"

Hope looked at Roman. "You have to go. They will literally wear your spine as a necklace. Leave."

Roman rushed away. Hope left the room to head back to her family.

Rae's Room

Rae was going through things to gather up, looking around.

Danny stood in the doorway, knocking. "Rae?"

Rae looked up. "Hey, Danny. Just getting things gathered for Kassandra so we can do the same spell that she and Lucien did on her years ago to help her ease the madness. It might not make the craziness go away, but it can help." She stopped when she saw him looking at her. "What?"

"Just wanted to check in with you," Danny answered. "You got sick earlier."

"Not like that hasn't happened before," Rae told him sarcastically.

"I'm serious," Danny told her. "You've been doing so good the last couple years without getting sick, and then a few days go by since Kassandra called and said that she was on her way, and then you get sick again. I don't..."

Rae seemed to come to a realization, shaking her head in denial. "Cade brought me back to life as a psychic who needed to feed on the evil souls to stay alive, remember? Otherwise I would get sick like that. Danny, I remember that one time, when we were kids, you, Hope, Emma, Madison and I were practicing our powers, before I got sick, and my mom and Eliza called Klaus, Elijah, Aunt Nikki and Sandra, and then we started to hear rumors about Kassandra losing her mind again and killing vampires. And then she stops killing for a few days to come back home, and I get sick again. And then we find her in the alley killing a vampire, which in turn makes me not sick anymore."

Danny realized what she was thinking. "You think that Kassandra is killing all those vampires for you."

Rae nodded, looking upset and worried, not knowing how to think about this.

St. Louis Cathedral - Bell Tower

Auria, Tory, Luke, Ryan, Lindsey and Lyla were here.

"Well, it's not the botanical gardens, but I guess it'll do for what we have to do," Lindsey told them.

Lyla looked up at them. "So Auria and Aunt Lindsey are gonna go in my and Mom's heads to find out about our visions and see what's going to happen in the future, using Dad and Uncle Ryan as anchors so they don't get lost?"

Auria, Tory, Luke, Ryan, Lindsey looked at Lyla in surprise on how she knew that, since she hadn't been around them when they were talking about that earlier.

"I suppose it's kind of pointless to try to hide anything from a mind reader, huh, Lyla?" Ryan asked sarcastically.

Lyla smiled. "Yep. Duh, Uncle Ryan."

Auria, Tory, Luke, Ryan, Lindsey smiled.

"All right, so you know what's going on, Lyla," Tory told her, taking her hands to lead her to sit down. "That is good. Because we can go right ahead and go on in. Are you sure you wanna do this?"

Lyla nodded. "I'm sure, Mom. I wanna be a big girl and help."

Auria, Tory, Luke, Ryan, Lindsey smiled.

"And help you can do," Luke told her. "We just need you to let Auria and Lindsey into your mind so you can show them what you see. Okay?"

Lyla nodded. "Okay, Dad."

"All right," Auria told them. "You two psychics take a seat. Thank you for agreeing to this, Lyla." Lyla smiled. Tory sat down next to Lyla, holding her hand. Lyla beamed a smile at Tory and Luke, excited to help. Auria and Lindsey used one of their hands to hold Luke and Ryan's so they could anchor them so they wouldn't get lost in a cloud of visions, putting their free hands on the heads of Lyla and Tory. "This isn't going to hurt at all."

Tory and Lyla let Auria and Lindsey into their minds, allowing them to see the same visions that they and Rae had been seeing, about rain turning to blood, snakes all around, fire on water. Luke and Ryan held Auria and Lindsey's free hands so that they could provide an anchor so they didn't get lost in the visions. The four girls looked shaken, but not hurt.

Warehouse

In the warehouse where Rosalita and Maia still were, Rosalita could sense what they were doing, smirking.

Maia noticed her reaction. "Rosalita? What is it?"

"Lindsey Davis-Thompson, Tory and Lyla Thompson, and Auria Rayvnne are trying to find out about visions that they don't know are about me yet," Rosalita answered. "Using Luke and Ryan Thompson as anchors so they don't get lost in the visions. They're going to soon realize I'm back, even if they don't believe it yet, Maia. But you and I are going to start the first step to the curse we're about to enact."

Maia smirked. "With pleasure."

Maia and Rosalita stood on either side of a table. Maia took a knife, sacrificing a snake in the water bowl in front of them. They both closed their eyes, holding their hands out on either side of them, performing a silent, spell.

Abattoir Compound - Downstairs Living Room

Kaylin, Klaus and Kassandra were talking.

"You're going to tell me what the bloody hell has gotten into you over the last five years that made you spiral back into insanity, Kassandra," Klaus told her in frustration.

Kassandra was trying not to be overwhelmed, looking very distracted and not at ease, pacing to try and calm herself. "Nik, it's not important."

"Not important?" Klaus repeated skeptically. "You fall off the wagon of sanity, plunging back into darkness, without an even explanation of why, been avoiding us whenever you could, and it's not important?"

Kaylin tried to get him to ease up so Kassandra didn't have to get more overwhelmed and lash out without meaning to. "Nik. Easy."

Hope and Rae walked in.

"Kassandra, tell me that it's not true," Rae told her.

"What's not true?" Kaylin asked, standing. "What are you talking about?"

"Hope, Rae, can you give us a moment?" Klaus asked. "Trying to get to the bottom of the reason why Kassandra won't tell us could put her in a very bad mood, and you don't want to see what she is capable of if she does."

Hope shook her head. "We're not leaving, Dad. Rae and Danny think they found out why Aunt Sandra is doing what she is doing."

"Kassandra will bloody well tell me what the hell she's been doing," Klaus told them.

"It's none of your business," Kassandra told him in frustration, trying to remain calm. "It's just mine."

Mikayla's Room

(Song:) Broken - Davina Michelle

Mikayla was sitting on her bed. Kacie was pacing. They were listening to the fighting downstairs.

"Well, at least Kassandra's home and she's mostly sane," Kacie told her. "I don't know why she's doing what she's doing, but she has five moody teenagers trying to save her from herself because they can't save the rest of the family."

"Well, my teenage temper tantrums were a lot worse," Mikayla told her. "So..."

Kacie chuckled. "Yeah, mine too. They involved literally kicking the hell out of anyone who looked at me the wrong way, before I triggered the curse."

Mikayla nodded in amusement, agreement. "Yeah. Me too." She returned somber. "And seeing what these kids are going through now... Hope, Rae, Emma, Danny, Lyla, Madison, Henry."

Kacie walked closer, sitting in front of Mikayla, taking her hands in hers. "Mikayla. I know you hate yourself for having to hand Henry over, but it was the only way."

Mikayla nodded sadly. "I know, Kacie. And that's why I hate it so much."

"It wasn't your fault," Kacie told her. "Or Riley's, or Marcel, Noah or Caitlin's, or anyone else's. We just had to stop a war."

"I know," Mikayla told her. "Doesn't make it feel any better."

Kacie nodded sadly in agreement. "No, it doesn't."

"But you were right," Mikayla told her. "So were Marcel, Noah and Caitlin. It was the only way to stop the war."

"And you were right about how we needed to focus more on the issues at hand," Kacie told her.

"Like finding Hayley," Mikayla told her. "Kacie, I spent my whole life looking for my family, and when I got to New Orleans, I was attacked by a witch that I killed to defend myself, triggered the Crescent curse, and was stuck as a wolf every day except the full moon for a couple years, and then Hayley comes, and I knew, before I even knew who Hayley was, I knew she was my sister. And even as a wolf, anyone who came after Hayley, I would kill just to protect her, when she was pregnant with Hope. And she broke the curse for me, to save me, all after only one meeting between us on a full moon where we fought to save each other from a plantation fire, nearly dying together. And after Hayley helped break the curse, and we both became hybrids, we fought together, Hayley was always there for me, through losing Jackson, through..."

Kacie took her hands. "I know. I know. Hey. We will find her, okay? I promise you, Mikayla. We will find her."

Mikayla nodded. Kacie and Mikayla shared a slow, passionate kiss, starting to build up in passion, taking off their jackets, laying down, with Mikayla on the bed, and Kacie on top, continuing to kiss.

Freya's Room

Freya was packing up, sitting down next to Keelin. "So Kassandra's lashing out again through madness, and Hope, Rae, Emma, Danny and Madison are defying everyone and everything to try and save her and save this family. They're, uh... I get it. When I was their age, I used to make birds fall dead and entire villages burn."

Keelin smiled. "I'll keep that in mind if we ever have a daughter. Since you agreed to leave New Orleans, with me, I have come up with millions of future possibilities."

Freya nodded. "Mm-hmm."

"It's all really mushy and gross," Keelin told her.

"Yeah?" Freya asked.

Keelin nodded. "I just didn't realize how much this city suffocated me until I left."

"Keelin?" Freya asked. "I have been suffocated, too. It's time we get to breathe."

They smiled, kissing passionately.

Courtyard

Emma, Danny and Madison were sitting in the courtyard, also listening to the sound of Klaus and Kassandra arguing in the other room, where Kaylin, Hope and Rae were with them.

"Should we do something?" Madison asked.

"No," Emma answered. "Not until they get Kassandra calmed down. It's not pretty when she gets angry, trust me."

"Once they get Kassandra to tell the truth, and get her calmed down, maybe, we can help with the spell," Danny told them. "Don't worry, Madison. We can still help her."

Madison sighed. "I really wish so."

-----

Downstairs Living Room

Klaus and Kassandra were arguing while Kaylin, Hope and Rae tried to get them both to calm down.

"It's not like you can judge me for lashing out when you have a history of that yourself," Kassandra told him.

"You're right, but when you lash out, you have a tendency to hurt the people you love, even when you don't mean to," Klaus replied.

"And do you think that I want that?" Kassandra asked. "That is why I was trying to stay away. To keep my distance."

Rae walked closer. "So you know tricks to kill vamps and keep secrets from your family. Did you remember my tricks? I can help you, Kassandra, if you let me."

Kassandra knew what she meant by that, shaking her head, backing away. "No. Rae--" Rae took off her bracelet so she could read Kassandra's mind without touching her, using mind control to help her calm down, going through Kassandra's thoughts with no difficulty at all until she found what she wanted, looking stunned. Kassandra backed away, not wanting Rae to see her thoughts. "Get out of my head."

"I knew it," Rae told her. "I knew you were killing those vampires for me. I didn't know you were doing it for Aunt Nikki, too."

Kaylin looked at Kassandra, realizing. "You were killing those vampires since Rae was a kid. When she got sick at the school. Weren't you? You told me that Rae would be okay back then. And then she was. Because you started killing vampires."

"Kaylin..." Kassandra trailed off.

Kaylin stood. "And how is this for Nikki, too?"

"Kassandra was killing the vampires that Aunt Nikki had marked, the ones who wanted revenge, so that they wouldn't go after her and Elijah in France, so that she wouldn't have to lose control after all this time," Rae answered.

Hope was completely stunned. "You didn't lose your mind. Completely, anyway. You were killing those vampires to keep Rae alive and to keep Nikki and Uncle Elijah safe. Aunt Sandra, why didn't you tell us? Why did you make us believe that you had lost it again?'

"Because I didn't want you to know," Kassandra answered, turning to leave.

Hope raised her hand in a fist to magically shut the doors in front of Kassandra, preventing her from leaving. "I know some tricks, too, just like Rae does. We're not gonna let you take off again and lose your mind again to let God knows what happen again. We can help you, Aunt Sandra. Just let us."

Kassandra turned to look at her family, sighing, stopping when she saw a snake in a plant vase, looking unnerved to see it, wondering if it was real or not. The others followed her gaze, seeing the snake, stunned.

-----~-----

Kassandra was pacing, looking around.

"You called, you wrote letters, you visited, then you stopped," Hope told her. "Why?"

"Because I was a danger to you, to everyone," Kassandra answered. "I was slipping further into the insanity again, like something was pushing me into it."

"But you're not completely gone," Klaus told her. "But you pretended to be, even while you were doing everything you were doing to keep Rae alive and keep Nicola safe. Why did you let us all believe you were really gone? Was it just because so they wouldn't blame themselves for what you were doing, to keep them safe and alive? That you would rather let everyone think you lost your mind again, than to let Nicola and Rae blame themselves for the kills that you were doing?"

"I don't know, okay?" Kassandra asked in exasperation. "I--I couldn't think straight, and I still can't. Staying away from Hope, Rae, Emma, Danny and Madison, and all the rest of you, was for your own good."

"You don't know what's good for us," Hope told her. "You know, you stir up these stories about a crazy Enhanced Original dropping bodies, and people talk at school, and we have to be quiet little Hope and Rae Marshall, when we are so mad we want to scream. Same with Madison and Emma and Danny."

Kassandra didn't mean to raise her voice, but she did. "Well, welcome to the bloody party."

"Kassandra," Kaylin told her.

Kassandra turned to face Kaylin, trying to calm down. "Kaylin."

Rae walked closer to Kassandra. "You started to kill again because of me and Aunt Nikki."

Kassandra looked at her guilt, knowing that she would blame herself. "Rae..."

"And that's why you didn't tell anyone," Rae told her. "That's why you didn't tell Lucien until the other day, because he would tell us if you didn't. You didn't want us to feel guilty for it. You wanted to protect Aunt Nikki, but you were doing it so I wouldn't be sick without having evil souls to feed on to keep me alive." Hope looked at Rae sympathetically, and Kassandra. "We were so confused and worried as to why you were killing again, but you were doing it for us."

"Rae, what I do is not your fault," Kassandra told her.

Rae looked away, sighing heavily. "It is when you're doing it to keep me from becoming sick again."

"I mean, that's why you killed that vampire in the alley, right?" Hope asked. "Earlier, you saw Rae getting sick in the Quarter, didn't you? When she was with Emma, Danny and Madison. And you killed that vampire to make sure that she would get better. And you've been doing this for five years."

"The people I've killed are vampires, murderous monsters, Rae, so you can keep your conscience clear of them dying," Kassandra told her. "The vampires that Nicola had marked and were the worst of the worst."

"But you still killed them for me," Rae replied. "To protect Aunt Nikki. To keep me alive."

-----

Courtyard

Emma, Danny and Madison were sitting on the stairs. Madison was suddenly overcome with a vision, gasping as her eyes glowed silverish white. She could see a bloody heart in the palm of her hand, dropping it in shock, standing, backing away.

Emma and Danny stood in concern. "Madison?"

Madison snapped out of the vision, looking around, seeing that the heart was not on the ground. "Someone's gonna die. Heart ripped out."

"Do you know who?" Emma asked.

Madison shook her head. "You know my visions don't work like that, Emma. I don't see who. I see like transformations if it is a werewolf or a vampire or a hybrid, and I can sometimes see how they die like little riddles, like if I see blood on my lips, it means by feeding or a bite, like when Henry killed Poppy."

"What did you see this time?" Danny asked.

"I saw a bleeding heart in my hand," Madison answered. "That's it. I'm still not good at figuring this Banshee thing out, Danny."

Emma looked toward the fountain in the courtyard. "Danny. Madison."

Danny and Madison turned around to follow Emma's gaze, seeing snakes slither out of the water in the fountain. The three teens were in shock.

Warehouse

Rosalita and Maia were still casting a spell over the sacrificed snake, clearly the ones that were causing the snakes appearing in all over the city of New Orleans.

-----

St. Louis Cathedral - Bell Tower

Auria and Lindsey were no longer in Tory and Lyla's heads. Luke and Ryan helped the girls sit down at the table.

"Hey," Luke told them. "It's okay."

"What did you see?" Ryan asked.

"Water turning into blood, snakes appearing everywhere, fire on water, Hellfire," Auria answered. "All biblical signs."

"Do you see what's behind it?" Luke asked.

"No," Lindsey answered. "But Auria's cards, now that we've been in Tory and Lyla's heads, should give us some clues."

Auria sat down to draw a deck of tarot cards. "The cards can be charged with the psychic reading, and try to help us confirm or deny any signs."

Auria tossed the tarot cards in the air, using magic to make them levitate for a moment, allowing all to fall onto the table in a pile, leaving one in the air, taking it in her hand, showing it to the others.

Lyla walked closer. "What is that?"

"That's the Empress," Lindsey answered.

"But what does it mean?" Lyla asked.

"Well, the Empress means like a queen of some sort," Lindsey answered. "In the card, the Empress sits on a throne wearing a starry crown, holding a scepter in one hand. The scepter is representative of her power over life, her crown has twelve stars, representing her dominance over the year, and her throne is in the midst of a field of grain, representative of her dominion over things."

"Thank you, Witch-ipedia," Luke told her sarcastically.

Lindsey rolled her eyes. "Luke--"

"Yeah, I know, I know, Lindsey," Luke told her. "But what does it mean for us right now?"

"I don't know yet," Auria told them, spreading the stack of cards over the table. She waved her hand over the deck. "Cree le feu." The cards ignited in fire. Once they burned, only a few remained. Auria went through the unburned cards. "The sun. This card is a sign of good health and abundance. The card of temperance means peace. The chariot card is for triumph, success."

Everyone signed in relief, but as Rosalita and Maia were continuing their spell in their warehouse, all of the cards that Auria was holding caught fire, startling her, Lindsey, Tory, Lyla, Luke and Ryan.

Luke pulled Lyla away. "Lyla, come here."

"What's happening?" Lyla asked.

"The cards changed for some reason," Tory answered.

"What are they now?" Ryan asked.

Lindsey looked at the cards. "All right, the hangman is for terrible sacrifice. Devil is for bondage and slavery and... No. The tower."

"It's calamity," Auria told them. "Famine, flood, fire. Tory, Lyla and Rae's visions were right. Great darkness is coming."

Tory was thinking. "Devil. The visions we saw included Hellfire." She pointed at the Empress card on the table, which remained unburned. "The Empress. Lindsey said that it could also mean the Queen."

"As in the Queen of Hell," Lindsey told them, sighing worriedly.

Ryan shook his head, looking at Tory. "No. She's dead. You and your entire bloodline killed her, remember? With Hellfire. Rosalita is gone."

"Ryan, if there's one thing we know about Rosalita... it's that she's never gone," Lindsey told him.

They all looked at each other in horror, worried, but not wanting to believe that it was true.

Lyla was confused by their reactions. "Who's Rosalita?"

They all looked at Lyla, not knowing how to explain.

Abattoir Compound - Downstairs Living Room

Hope, Rae and Kaylin were sitting on the stairs. Klaus and Kassandra were standing.

"I was protecting you when I was away, avoiding you," Kassandra told them. "Trying to keep Rae alive, keep Nicola safe from losing control. And I wanted to protect you from myself in case I went back into the madness and was forced to hurt anyone I loved again."

"But you didn't have to do it alone," Kaylin told her. "You didn't have to keep it from us."

"Yes, I did, Kaylin," Kassandra told her. "I didn't want Rae to blame herself like she's doing now. And you and Nik were trying to set a better example for Hope and Rae, even Madison, and so were Kol and Eliza, and that was why you weren't killing anyone anymore, and I wanted that for you, that peaceful happy ending."

"And we wanted to give you that peaceful happy ending too, Aunt Sandra," Hope told her. "And we could have given it to you, and to Lucien, if you had just come around. We waited for you, all of us waited for you, but you didn't come. Rae, Emma, Danny, Madison and I were gonna go look for you so we could help you."

Klaus walked closer to Kassandra. "You putting yourself under so much pressure is the reason why you're falling so far back into the madness. Had you been around, had you let us help you..."

"I could have hurt someone, or everyone," Kassandra replied. "In my experience, family and loved ones cause pain. Whether by their presence or their absence, there's a certain type of ruin that only they can--can leave behind, and always bound to become broken."

Rae was surprised. "You--you really think we're broken?"

"Our family, yes," Kassandra answered. "Not you individually."

"We know that, and we've been trying to fix it," Rae told her. "But we can't do that if you're not here, if you're not well. And I know what you're thinking. I know that you think you're broken. I know that you think you've been broken for over a decade now. But it's like Elijah used to say, right? The very definition of broken means that something can be fixed, and we can fix you."

"You don't know that, Rae," Kassandra told her.

"You have to let us try, Sandra," Rae told her. "You have to let Freya, Hope, Emma, Danny, Madison and me try."

"Kassandra, please," Kaylin told her. "You don't have to keep doing this to yourself. You've taken on so much the last half decade that it's crushing you. You don't have to do it anymore. Not alone."

Kassandra had tears in her eyes that she was fighting back, looking down. "It's better if I do, Kaylin, rather than let anyone else do it and risk losing everything."

"But we don't have to lose everything, and neither do you," Hope told her. "You remember the aunt who locked herself in a dungeon to keep herself from hurting anyone she loved, and Rae and I found you down there, and we spent the day together, sitting on the outside of a boundary spell that you had Tory set up, and you gave us riddles to see how smart we were and protected us even when you were so scared of hurting everyone?"

"That is how you are right now, scared of hurting everyone, but you're not gonna hurt us," Rae told her. "We can help make sure that you don't. You called us princesses and you killed so many back then to protect us, too. And now you're doing the same thing for me and Aunt Nikki. It proves that you won't hurt us. It proves that we can help you. You've spent so long protecting me and helping me stay alive, Sandra. Please, let me help you and protect your mind. Let me save you for once."

Kassandra managed a small smile at that, tears in her eyes. Klaus walked closer to place a hand on Kassandra's shoulder, now that they were both calm, but both very upset with the emotions of the scene. Kassandra looked sort of relieved that the truth was out, but also hurting because of it, because they were hurting. Klaus wrapped his arms around his sister. Kassandra sighed in relief, returning the embrace, leaning her head against his shoulder. Kaylin walked closer to embrace Kassandra gratefully for protecting her daughter and her niece, but also so worried about her sister-in-law's mindset, not wanting to let her put herself through more of this. When they pulled away, Kassandra turned to Hope and Rae, who were both close to crying now that this was all in the open, and now that they had Kassandra back. Hope and Rae walked closer to embrace Kassandra tightly. Kassandra held them close, all close to crying. Klaus and Kaylin also had tears in their eyes, sighing heavily.

Emma, Danny and Madison were knocking on the doors. "Guys?"

Hope released the boundary spell on the doors to magically make them open. Emma, Danny and Madison walked in quickly to join them, turning to look into the courtyard. The others followed their gazes to see that the courtyard was now filled with snakes, all horrified and confused.

The Garden

Marcel, Noah and Caitlin were bricking up Henry.

"Is it always like this?" Henry asked. "The noise? The hunger?"

"Be quiet," Marcel told him. "Try to be still for the first few weeks."

"You'll desiccate faster," Noah explained. "It'll be easier that way."

Hope walked in.

Caitlin smiled when she saw Hope. "Not the best time for a visit, Hope, but I'll take what I can get, from you, Emma, Danny, Rae and Madison."

Hope smiled as she and Caitlin embraced. "Missed you too, Caitlin. Emma, Danny, Rae and Madison are at home, helping my family deal with snakes that appeared all over our courtyard. Don't ask." She looked at Henry in regret. "I'm so sorry, Henry. I never meant for any of this to happen. You have to do what I say, remember? Okay, so, you're going to be calm now. When you get out, I'll be here, and we'll be friends. If you get scared, you'll feel peace if you just close your eyes and sing."

St. Louis Cathedral - Bell Tower

Auria, Lindsey, Ryan, Luke, Tory and Lyla were still reeling over what had happened earlier.

"Guys, I'm sorry," Auria told them. "I know we came here for reassurance, but..."

"We got water turning to blood, we got snakes fleeing the river," Ryan told them. "And we have no idea what is really behind this, even though we have a theory."

"Something we need to tell the others soon," Tory told them. "I'll tell Kaylin right away. Kaylin needs to know now, because Rosalita always had a penchant for destroying the Salvatores first, second and last. Same thing with the Mikaelsons."

"I've heard a hundred different versions of biblical stories like this," Luke told them. "All these stories end in tragedy. New Orleans, and everyone in it, will be taken to their knees if Rosalita really is back."

Lindsey shook her head. "No, no, no. Now, we have no idea if Rosalita really is back, but if she is, then we need to tell the others, and we need to prepare. The way I see it, we've taken down that bitch three times already."

"Yeah, because the first time, Rosalita wanted to die," Ryan told them. "She had a deal with the Travelers and she actually wanted to feel what death was like, which is why she let Kaylin kill her. The second time, Kol, Esther and Finn were overwhelming her with magic and she didn't want to let go of the power so she let herself disintegrate with it. And then she came back as the Queen of Hell, and it took Tory and their entire lineage to burn her alive with Hellfire."

"If Rosalita is back, then how the hell are we gonna stop her this time?" Auria asked.

Lyla was sitting on the floor, snapping her fingers, magically setting the three tarot cards on fire, surprising the others, looking up at them. "Together."

Abattoir Compound - Courtyard

(Song:) In My Blood - Kirsten Collins & Will Champlin

Rae was sitting on the fountain.

Danny walked closer. "All the snakes are gone. Kassandra's with Freya, who's settling her down so we can try to do the spell to help her with her mind. So I take it we were right?"

"Yeah," Rae answered. "Sandra's been killing for me and Aunt Nikki. She's not gone like she wanted everyone to believe, Danny. She was just trying to protect us, putting herself under so much pressure that she was making herself more crazy. My family sacrificed everything to save us. And Sandra's been doing all of this to save me for five years. I'm supposed to be worth it. I mean, I'm supposed to be better, right? Kassandra thinks that she's broken. But, um... maybe I'm the broken one, if I can't even survive without people having to die for me. I mean, I'm not even supposed to be alive. My real father, Julian, hated the idea of my mom and him having a child, that he beat her until he killed me, and I was dead, literally inside her womb for almost two centuries, before Cade brought me back to life to use me as leverage to get my family to work for him and kill people, too. I'm not supposed to be here, and I prove that every time I get sick and nearly die just because some evil person is not dying so I can eat their soul. I'm not worth all of this, Danny."

Danny stood in front of her. "Rae. Your family sacrificed everything because you are worth it. They will love you and Hope and Madison until the oceans are dust. You are worth all of this. Everything they sacrificed, everything Kassandra is doing. And you are good, period. And you're not broken. Show me anybody who says otherwise, and I'll give them a witchy migraine that'll last a century." Rae couldn't help but laugh, making Danny smile too. "Look, I know you feel like you're different than everybody else, and yeah, you are, but guess what? So am I. And all of us are kinda crazy under the surface, so you don't have to feel bad." Rae smiled slightly, shrugging in acknowledgement. "Look, it's okay to be different. All of us are. All of us can be dark and twisted, and some of us can be broken, but like you said earlier. The definition of that is that we can be fixed."

Rae chuckled in relief. "Thank you, Danny. You've always looked out for me. I mean, the only reason why you were taken by the Hollow is because you, Hope and Emma were in my head, trying to save me, where she could get to all of us and possess all of us, leading to this."

"Yeah, and I know that you blame yourself for that, too, but no one else does, because everyone knows that that is not on you," Danny replied. "Look, we will keep looking for a way to defeat the Hollow, so that you can have your family back."

Rae sighed. "Danny, you, me, Emma, Hope, Freya, Auria, Tory and Lindsey have been trying. And we don't know what else to do."

Danny shrugged slightly. "Well, we'll just have to keep looking, won't we? We can't give up. It's not in our blood to give up, right?"

Rae managed a small smile, standing. "Right."

Danny and Rae embraced, sighing.

Upstairs Living Room

(Song:) Bad Things - Summer Kennedy

Klaus, Kassandra, Kaylin, Rae, Hope, Madison, Emma, Danny, Freya, Mikayla, Kacie and Riley were gathered while Freya, Hope, Emma and Danny were preparing to cast the spell on Kassandra, and Rae was preparing to use her psychic powers to help.

"Look, Mikayla, whenever we get done here, we need to make sure that we are doing everything we can to look for Hayley, no matter the cost, no matter if this works or not," Kassandra told her.

"We will look for Hayley, Kassandra, but we need to make sure that you're okay, too," Riley told her.

"Riley's right," Mikayla told her. "Just let them do this, please, Kassandra. We don't want you to suffer anymore."

Kassandra looked at Freya, Emma, Danny, Hope and Rae, sighing, nodding.

Freya sighed in relief. "Okay. Come here."

Kassandra sat down on the table behind her, in front of them.

Freya, Emma, Danny and Hope started to do the spell on Kassandra. Rae held her hands on Kassandra's head so she could get inside and help with the spell, easing her mind. "Ostende det siste. Ostende det siste. Os..."

Rae heard distinct whispers of Rosalita and Maia's spell in her mind, confused, still trying to go along with their spell on Kassandra. Rosalita and Maia's spell this time seemed to be affecting Kassandra, making her gasp in shock and pain, and for breath, causing alarm in the others.

"Kassandra?" Kacie asked. "Kassandra, look at us."

Kassandra began coughing, as if she was choking on something.

"What is it?" Madison asked. "Kassandra?"

Kassandra coughed up a snake onto the floor, making everyone back away in shock.

Kaylin knelt next to Kassandra worriedly. "Stop. You have to stop."

"What the hell is going on?" Emma asked.

"Someone's locking us out of her mind," Rae answered, confused. "Someone that doesn't want us to help her, that wants her to get worse. I can hear the spell in my head, how they're directly affecting Kassandra. I hear two girl voices. I just have no clue who they are."

Kassandra held her head in agony as she felt the spell from Rosalita and Maia making the craziness worse. "I can't be here. I need to leave."

"No," Klaus told her.

Freya tried to stop her. "Kassandra--"

Kassandra rushed out of the compound before they could stop her, leaving everyone in shock and worry.

Warehouse

Rosalita finished her spell, turning to face Maia, smirking smugly. "Well, we activated yet another biblical sign all over New Orleans, and we made Kassandra's mind worse so that anyone who crosses her will end up dead, even if it's someone in her family who crosses her. Step one in my revenge, able to do so because of you. And that's the closest thing you'll get to a 'thank you'."

Maia rolled her eyes, smirking. "Yeah, I thought so. What do we do next? What's step two in revenge?"

"You told me about everything going on with everyone," Rosalita told her. "I wanna destroy it all. All the happiness, remind them who the hell they forgot about in my time away."

"Rae, Tory and Lyla might have seen visions, clues that could lead to you, aided by Lindsey and Auria's tarot cards that could have the signs pointing to you, and when they were in their heads, using Luke and Ryan as anchors," Maia pointed out. "And Rae heard us chanting when she tried to get into Kassandra's mind. They're gonna know sooner rather than later that you're back, Rosalita."

"Well, then I guess we better get a move on, then, huh?" Rosalita asked.

"Where are we going?" Maia asked.

"France, to destroy Nicola/The Huntress," Rosalita answered. "And then Belize, to pick up Kol and Eliza along the way. Kassandra will be having trouble with her madness in New Orleans, but she's not the only Mikaelson, or Salvatore, that will be facing madness issues. A Forbes will be too.. And Lucien Castle might be having trouble with his former madness that I drove him into before. But I want the Huntress, and I'm gonna show Kol and Eliza who they were forgetting, before seeing everyone else. You already took Hayley, Maia, and that a genius move on your part, because with the psychic mind reading, I know why you took her. That's just another step in the game of revenge. And as we all know, there is no game I am better at playing than the game of revenge. You wanna play with me?"

Maia smirked. "Hell, yeah. This should be fun."

Maia and Rosalita walked out of the warehouse together.

Abattoir Compound - Freya's Room

Freya was with Keelin, pacing. "We still don't know where Hayley is. Someone is locking me, Hope, Rae, Emma and Danny out of Kassandra's mind so we can't fix her mind again, and now she's out there in the Quarter, a little bit worse because whatever spell that was and whoever cast it was trying to make her worse. And if what Auria, Tory, Luke, Ryan, Lindsey and Lyla found out today is true, then it's Rosalita locking us out, and she could be on her way to destroy us all. I need you to leave."

Keelin nodded. "I'll go with Mikayla, Kacie, Riley, Luke and Ryan. We'll get the werewolves, organize a search party."

Freya shook her head. "No, Keelin, I need you to leave New Orleans. I need you to go on your trip. See the world. Save people. Breathe. If Rosalita is really back, and if she is really coming here, then you can't be. I need you far away from here as possible to stay safe from her."

"Stop," Keelin told her. "Okay, we're not doing this again, okay? I can't let you stay here, Freya. It is not an option. If Rosalita is really coming, all of you need all of the help that you can get."

"I can't be the reason your whole life is on hold," Freya told her. "And I can't be of any use to my family... to Kassandra... with that burden. And you and I have only heard stories of what Rosalita has done to everyone that we know and love, and if she did all of that to them, I don't want to know what she is capable of doing to you."

Keelin walked closer, taking Freya's hands in her own. "Look, I love you, Freya. I have loved you through everything. Let me be here for you. Let me help you."

"I can't, Keelin," Freya told her, removing her hands from Keelin's. "I can't. I can't let you get hurt because of me, when it comes to Rosalita. I don't want you to stay."

Freya turned her back to Keelin. Keelin was hurt, but somewhat understanding. Both of them looked near tears.

Rousseau's

Auria, Marcel, Noah and Caitlin had called in people from all the supernaturals in the Quarter.

Auria looked at Riley, Mikayla and Kacie. "You did the right thing. Henry will be okay, Riley, I promise."

Riley nodded. "Thanks, Auria."

Mikayla sighed, looking at Kacie. "Tory, Auria, Lyla, Luke, Ryan and Lindsey think that Rosalita might be making a comeback again. So Klaus and Kaylin talked to Tory, Luke, Lindsey and Ryan, and they're all taking Hope, Rae, Emma, Danny, Lyla and Madison back to Mystic Falls to the school. If Rosalita is really making a comeback, we can't have the kids here and risk them getting hurt, Kacie. So it's just safer for the Salvatore/Mikaelson/Fell/Forbes, Davis-Thompson kids to get out of the city. While you, me, Lockwood/Labonair, work with Gerard, Rayvnne, Harris, Dumaine and Grey to figure out what to do until we get backup."

"Right," Kacie agreed. "We need to get them the hell out of the way to protect them. Because if Rosalita is really back, then she will be pissed more than we've ever seen her after what we did, Mikayla, and she'll come for all of us. She'll destroy all of us."

Noah whistled through his fingers to get the attention of everyone, looking at the vampires. "Daywalkers, nightwalkers." Josh, Marcel and Caitlin nodded, drinking. Noah turned to the witches, including Auria. "Witches." Auria smirked, raising her glass, drinking. Noah turned to the wolves, including Mikayla, Kacie and Riley. "And wolves." Mikayla, Kacie and Riley nodded in acknowledgement, drinking. Noah drank from his own bottle. "We invited you here tonight from all the corners of this city to celebrate."

"Tonight, justice was served," Marcel told them. "The hybrid Henry will suffer his punishment, and when he emerges, New Orleans will open her arms to him again."

The Garden

Henry was bricked up, singing softly to himself like Hope told him to. The camera panned its way in from the gate into the Garden, like someone was walking toward where Henry was bricked up.

Caitlin: (voice over) "Henry is a symbol of the peace that we enjoy when we serve New Orleans first, and ourselves second. So dance, drink, romance this city as she deserves. Tomorrow, we do it again."

The French Quarter

Hope was walking, meeting up with Roman at his car. "Hey, thanks for the ride back to school. My dad and stepmom Kaylin are taking Rae and Madison back to school. Lindsey, Ryan, Tory and Luke are taking Emma, Danny and Lyla back. Don't wanna feel too overcrowded with either my family or the Davis-Thompsons."

"Oh, sure," Roman agreed. "Hey, is everything okay, Marshall?"

"My name's not Marshall," Hope reminded him.

Roman nodded in agreement. "Right. Hope."

Lindsey, Ryan, Emma and Danny were getting ready to leave in their car. Tory, Luke and Lyla were getting ready to leave in theirs. Klaus, Kaylin, Madison and Rae were about to get into another car.

"You don't really believe that this Rosalita bitch chick is back, do you?" Madison asked.

"Madison, if there is one thing for certain about Rosalita, it's that she always finds a way to come back to destroy every ounce of happiness that we have," Kaylin told her. "And if she really is back, and she sees that every single one of us are friends, are family, and that we are the happiest we've ever been, she will rain down literal Hellfire to destroy it all all over again. And we need to make sure that you, Hope, Rae, Emma, Danny and Lyla are not around for if that happens."

Kassandra walked closer. "Tell me that it's not true."

Rae and Madison looked relieved but worried to see her. "Kassandra."

"Tell me that Rosalita's not back," Kassandra told them.

"We don't know," Klaus told her. "But all we know is that we need to make sure you stay close."

"Rosalita already made you lose your mind once, Kassandra, and made Lucien and Kol lose theirs, and made us all into the monsters we were, and sometimes still can be," Kaylin told her. "And I'll be damned if we let her do that again."

Kassandra nodded in agreement. Suddenly, a woman screamed in the Quarter, stopping everyone in their tracks, making everyone jump.

Luke closed the door to his car. "Lyla, stay in the car."

"But Dad--" Lyla started.

Tory used magic to make sure that Lyla couldn't open the doors, to protect her from whatever sight or whatever happened. "Lyla, stay there."

Tory, Luke, Lindsey, Ryan, Emma and Danny walked toward Klaus, Kassandra, Kaylin, Rae and Madison. Hope walked over to them to see what was going on, standing by her family and friends. Marcel, Noah, Caitlin, Auria, Mikayla, Kacie and Riley had heard the noise from at Rousseau's, walking outside, standing next to them, looking up at what everyone was looking at, horrified to see that Henry had been attacked and removed from the Garden, hanging from a balcony, with his heart removed, the hybrid death made public for witches, werewolves and vampires all to see.

Emma was in shock. "Oh, my God."

"Henry?" Danny asked.

Riley shook his head in horrified denial. "No, no."

Everyone was in too much shock to even move, horrified and in denial.
