chapter 11 - Till the Day I Die

From 5.07 "God's Gonna Trouble the Water", in Noah/Caitlin's loft, Noah proposed to Caitlin. "Will you marry me?"

Caitlin took Noah by the hands to pull him up, smiling, nodding joyously. "Yes."

Noah put the ring on Caitlin's finger. They embraced with a very passionate kiss.

Caitlin: (voice over) "Previously on Worlds Colliding (The Originals)."

From 5.09 "We Have Not Long to Love", in the Quarter, Marcel and Auria were talking.

"Your proposal was to be married to me while I lived out a mortal life even if it meant that you would be by my side while I died," Auria reminded him. "My proposal, Marcel Gerard, is simple. I wanna be married to you without the fear of either one of us losing the other. To be together... for however long as we both shall live."

Marcel smiled. "Hell, yeah."

They both smiled, chuckling, embracing with a kiss, happily holding each other.

From 5.09 "We Have Not Long to Love", in the bell tower, Freya proposed to Keelin. "I don't want to spend another second without you. So please, parry me."

Keelin laughed joyously. "Yes."

They kissed passionately.

From 5.10 "There in the Disappearing Light", in the compound, the parents, Mikayla, Kacie and Elijah were talking.

"So not only did Hope, Emma, Danny and Madison plan to lock the Hollow inside them, now Rae wants to lock Rosalita inside her?" Eliza asked.

From 5.10 "There in the Disappearing Light", in the abandoned plant, during the fight, Josh had been stabbed in the heart with a syringe of Kassandra or Lucien's venom, horrifying the others. Marcel, Noah and Caitlin laid Josh down.

"Marcel, you just promise me that after you deal with Rosalita and Maia, you marry Auria," Josh told him. "I doubt that Auria would change her name from Rayvnne to Gerard, but... And as soon as you can, Caitlin, you're gonna become Mrs. Dumaine. You and Noah deserve to be happy, too. Promise me that you won't let this stop you from being happy."

Marcel and Noah nodded. "Promise."

Caitlin nodded emotionally, trying not to break. "I promise."

Josh succumbed to the venom in his heart, dying, desiccating in front of them.

From 5.10 "There in the Disappearing Light", in the cemetery, when Marcel, Noah and Caitlin told Auria about the news, she was absolutely horrified, devastated, angry about losing so many friends so soon. The four of them, crying, embraced each other.

From 5.10 "There in the Disappearing Light", on the outside balcony, Nicola looked at Elijah. "The urges are stronger than ever, Elijah. I could barely control it the other day, and today. After whatever Rosalita and Maia did to my head, it made it nearly impossible to control. And Tory, Lyla and Rae have been so busy on helping Hope, Emma, Danny and Madison control the Hollow like they should be."

"But you've been controlling it on your own the best you can," Elijah assured. "I'm sure that once everything is calmed down again, Tory, Lyla and Rae will be easily able to help you control the Huntress."

"Not if they're too busy controlling the Hollow, especially if Rae takes in Rosalita like she wants to do," Nicola pointed out. She sighed, holding her head in her hands, deeply worried. "Maybe this is what I deserve after what happened."

From 5.10 "There in the Disappearing Light", in the compound, the five teens were showing the veins to the parents.

"What's happening to us?" Hope asked.

"You need to rid yourselves of this darkness," Klaus told them.

From 5.10 "There in the Disappearing Light", in the abandoned plant, Rosalita looked at the chained up Kassandra and Lucien. "Even if I don't stop all of your little plans, I have a much bigger plan in my mind that is going to be in play for a lot longer than you think, even if you do manage to stop me, stop Maia, and lock me up."

From 5.10 "There in the Disappearing Light", in the church, the group came to stop Rosalita, Maia and their vampires.

"Go on, sweethearts," Klaus told them. "Let it all out."

Nicola unleashed some of the urges and need to kill on the vampires. Madison held out her hands, eyes glowing blue, releasing a Banshee scream to stop the other vampires from running, liquefying their organs, making them fall, incapacitated, some dead.

Auria, Freya, Lindsey, Tory, Hope, Emma and Danny walked closer, casting a spell that created a circle of salt around Rosalita and Maia in the form of a boundary spell to keep them trapped, surrounding them, starting the spell on Rosalita. Rosalita started to turn into Hellfire. Rae did a reverse psychic scream, inhaling, so that she could inhale all of the fiery orange power that was Rosalita, able to consume her soul completely, locking her away inside of her, glowing with Hellfire, releasing a scream that released some of her pent up energy, causing everyone massive pain, making them all fall their knees, nearly taking the building down as some of it started to crumble, her eyes glowing with hellfire.

Rosalita: (voice over from 5.10 There in the Disappearing Light) "You know that even if I'm gonna be locked away, I'm gonna haunt everyone you love in their sleep, as they will be terrified if I get free, and what I'll do when I do. You will see me again, and you'll all have one hell of a surprise when you do."

Hope, Emma and Danny released more blue power from the Hollow, sending it right out at Maia and the group behind her, making them fall, seemingly unconscious, causing everyone to be in shock.

Luke: (voice over from 5.10 There in the Disappearing Light) "Hope, Emma and Danny are one human kill away from triggering their werewolf sides. Now, you think they're angry right now, you wait until those claws come out and the eyes turn yellow."

From 5.10 "There in the Disappearing Light", in the courtyard, Hope, Emma and Danny could feel their curses being triggered, groaning in pain, falling to their knees. Rae and Madison stood in shock and worry, as their parents all walked closer in horror, watching as Hope, Emma and Danny's eyes glowed gold for the first time.

Nicola: (voice over from 5.10 There in the Disappearing Light) "Maia tricked them into triggering their curses."

Day One

Morning - Rousseau's

Noah and Caitlin were drinking in their bar, putting up a memorial for Josh.

Marcel and Auria walked up to them.

"Hey, Marcel," Noah told him. "Auria."

"Noah?" Auria asked. "Caitlin? You okay?"

"As okay as we can be," Caitlin answered. "I know things will never be the same."

-----

Abattoir Compound - Elijah/Nicola's Room

Elijah was getting ready for the day in a suit, looking toward where Nicola was getting ready and drinking to ease her urges. They looked at each other sadly.

Caitlin: (voice over) "Not after so much loss."

-----

Courtyard

Klaus, Kaylin, Kol, Eliza, Lindsey, Ryan and Riley were trying to help Hope, Madison, Emma and Danny with the Hollow inside them, while also helping Rae with Rosalita inside her. Mikayla, Kacie, Luke, Kassandra and Lucien were letting them take out the darkness on them. Tory and Lyla were trying to help with mind controlling the Hollow and Rosalita inside the five teens.

Caitlin: (voice over) "Not after so much pain. And I'm so sad about Josh, Ivy, Hayley,  and all of the other people that Rosalita and Maia killed, and everything that Hope, Rae, Emma, Danny and Madison is going through."

-----

Freya/Keelin's Room

Freya and Keelin were laying together.

Auria: (voice over) "But Rosalita and Maia are gone. And Noah and Caitlin are together, happy, just like you and me, Marcel. And just like Freya and Keelin. We're all engaged."

-----

Rousseau's

Marcel, Noah, Caitlin and Auria were talking.

Marcel sighed knowingly. "And you feel guilty for being happy even when you're devastated."

"Yeah," Aria answered. "It just feels so wrong."

"Hayley, Josh and Ivy wouldn't think so," Noah pointed out.

"Yeah, well, they're not here," Caitlin told them.

"If they were here, they would tell us not to waste it," Marcel told them. "And they'd be right."

"And literally on his deathbed, Auria, Josh told me, Marcel and Caitlin to go through with our weddings as soon as the Rosalita and Maia threat was over," Noah told her. "And now it is."

"Josh wanted us to make it official and finally be happy," Marcel agreed. "So let's do it. Let's get married."

Auria chuckled. "Yeah. That's the plan."

"No, like, let's get married today," Noah told them.

Caitlin and Auria looked at them in surprise.

"What?" Auria asked.

"Yeah," Marcel answered.

"Today?" Caitlin asked.

Noah chuckled at her reaction. "Mm-hmm."

Caitlin and Auria thought about it for a moment, chuckling.

"Yeah," Auria agreed. "Okay. For Josh. And I can talk to Freya and Keelin and talk to them about having their wedding today, too, if they want."

Caitlin nodded in agreement. "For Josh. And I agree about Freya and Keelin."

Marcel smiled. "All right. Let's do it."

Noah nodded. "Yes, yes, yes. It's so crazy."

Marcel, Noah, Auria and Caitlin all shared an embrace.

Worlds Colliding (The Originals)

-----

Lafayette Cemetery

Emma and Danny were paying respects to the people that Maia had tricked them into killing to trigger their curses, leaving flowers for them.

Lindsey and Ryan walked closer.

"You didn't have to come," Emma told them.

"We wanted to make sure you were all right," Lindsey told them.

"I don't know why we leave flowers," Danny admitted. "Doesn't do them any good. It's not much of an apology for killing someone."

"Unintentionally," Ryan corrected. "Maia tricked both of you and Hope into triggering your curses after Rae locked Rosalita inside of herself. You have nothing to apologize for. We stopped Rosalita and Maia and their vampires."

Emma sighed. "Don't make it sound so noble. Yeah, yeah, we stopped the bad guys, but it was as much to get the magic out of me, Danny, Hope and Madison, and make sure that Nikki didn't lose it, as anything else, even if we did kill Maia, and Rae did trap Rosalita. Besides, it's not like it lasted more than a few hours."

"Well, at least they get their revenge next week when the full moon comes," Danny told them. "Is it gonna be as bad for us as it was for Aunt Tory? When she could bring everything down in a transformation, and she nearly killed Uncle Luke and Aunt Kacie repeatedly?"

"We don't think so," Lindsey answered. "Tory had such trouble before she turned into a tribrid, not just because of being a wolf-witch, but a Doppelganger and a siphoner, and siphoning all that magic and having to lash out. It won't be that bad for Hope because of her vampire blood, and we don't think it'll be that bad for you two because you're not Doppelgangers, and you're not siphoners, so your magic won't be lashing out as badly."

"But still bad, because of the Hollow inside of us," Emma pointed out. "I know that's why Maia tricked us into triggering our curses. Because she knows that with the Hollow inside me and Danny, it could be worse than what Aunt Tory did."

Ryan walked closer. "Emma, Danny, however much you dread your first transformation, once you go through it, you're gonna feel better. The first time is not optional, but after that, we already have moonlight rings made for you."

"You guys said that after the pain, it's one of the best feelings in the world," Danny told them. "Just can't believe it's actually happening."

Lindsey sighed sadly. "Us either."

Ryan sighed, shaking his head. "I'm so sorry."

-----

Abattoir Compound - Klaus's Painting Room

Hope and Rae were making paintings and drawings with Klaus and Kaylin so their parents could try and keep them busy and sane.

"I can't believe that Maia tricked me, Emma and Danny into triggering our curses," Hope told them.

"You killed Maia, Hope," Rae told her. "After what she did to Hayley, helped Rosalita do to the rest of us, you have nothing to be sorry for."

Hope nodded in agreement. "No, I know. It's just... even after Maia is dead, and even after Rosalita is locked away inside of you, Rae... it still feels like we're playing their game."

Rae looked down sadly. "I know."

Kaylin sat in front of them. "Listen to me. Maia is gone. Rosalita is locked away. They can't hurt us anymore."

"I can feel her inside me, Mom," Rae told her. "It's so much worse than what the Hollow is doing to Hope, Emma, Danny and Madison. I feel like Rosalita wanted me to lock her away inside me so she could destroy me from the inside out."

Klaus walked closer worriedly. "That's not going to happen, Rae. Kaylin and I will not let it happen. Are we, Kaylin?" Kaylin shook her head in agreement. "The dark magic, Rosalita, they are not going to destroy you, or Hope, Emma, Danny and Madison. And Hope, I know that you, Emma and Danny are dreading your first transformations, but..."

"I don't know if I dread it, or if I wish that I could just turn and never turn back," Hope admitted. "I just can't believe I have to do this without Mom."

Kaylin looked at her sadly. "I know no one can replace your mom. But I do want to help you. Both of you, and Madison, Emma and Danny."

Hope nodded. "I know, Kaylin. And I know everyone wants to help me, Rae, Emma, Danny and Madison. But I need to be alone."

Klaus sighed. "As you wish."

Rae nodded. "Okay."

They noticed that Rae was gaining veins on her skin the color of fire, which made Rae groan in pain. They all looked at her in worried horror.

-----

Madison's Room

Madison was pacing, clearly nearing the point of freaking out, looking at the veins on her arms and neck that Hope, Emma and Danny also had. She turned to a box, going through things. She saw a picture of her and her real parents who were dead, and pictures of her with the Mikaelsons, her adoptive family and all their friends.

Kol and Eliza walked in.

"Madison?" Kol asked. "What are you doing?"

"Just going through my things," Madison answered. "Trying to stay distracted."

"That's good," Eliza told her worriedly. "That's really good. How are you?"

Madison sighed. "Kol. Eliza. Please stop."

"Stop what?" Kol asked.

"Stop asking if I'm okay," Madison answered. "Stop worrying that I might explode. I might, but... I'm handling things better than Hope, Emma, Danny and Rae right now. At least I haven't triggered werewolf sides or have the literal devil inside."

Eliza nodded slowly in understanding. "Okay. Caitlin, Noah, Marcel, Auria, Freya and Keelin are getting married today. So Dumaine/Harris, Gerard/Rayvnne, Mikaelson/Malraux all becoming official."

"Yeah, I heard," Madison told them. "Now that Rosalita and Maia are gone, there's nothing stopping them from getting their happy endings. Good for them."

"Yeah," Kol agreed. "Kaylin, Rebekah and Kassandra are going to be maids of honor. Nik, Elijah and I are going to be the best men. Kassandra, Kacie and Mikayla are doing nefarious things to secure the venue. Lyla is going to be the flower girl. Eliza is going to do the ceremony. An entire Salvatores, Mikaelsons, Fells, Forbes, Davis-Thompsons, Lockwoods, Labonairs, Gerard, Rayvnne, Harris, Dumaine, Grey and Castle affair."

Madison looked at Eliza in surprise. "You can perform a wedding?"

Eliza chuckled. "Yeah, I was able to do it with Tory and Luke, Lindsey and Ryan, Stefan and Alex, and Liv and Cristian years ago, and Damon and Elena. I also did it over magic and technology for Klaus/Kaylin, Elijah/Nicola, Hayley/Riley and Kassandra/Lucien, and me and Kol. I would love to do it for Marcel/Auria, Caitlin/Noah and Freya/Keelin too. Would love to do a wedding for all Frankenstein family couples. Already did for Mikaelson/Salvatore/Hunter/Gilbert/Forbes/Marshall/Grey/Castle couples, and Davis/Thompson. Gonna do the Gerard/Rayvnne/Harris/Dumaine today. And waiting to do the Lockwood/Labonair one we're waiting for, since it's obvious it's falling into that direction, right, Fell?" Madison smiled at the joke, causing Kol and Eliza to smile in return. "Honestly just waiting for the chance to do it for Kacie and Mikayla too, but after everything with Hayley..."

"Kacie and Mikayla aren't really ready to join Lockwood and Labonair," Kol finished. "Rosalita and Maia are finally stopped. Let's have this day of celebration."

Eliza and Madison nodded in agreement. "Yeah."

-----

Courtyard

Tory, Lyla and Luke were waiting, while Tory and Luke were playing around with Lyla to keep her busy and entertained. "Lyla!"

Kacie and Mikayla walked downstairs toward them.

"Hello, Tory," Mikayla told her. "Luke. Lyla."

"Kacie, Mikayla," Tory replied.

Lyla smiled excitedly. "Aunt Kacie! Aunt Mikayla!"

Kacie picked Lyla up, holding her. "Oh, come here, little niece Lyla."

"Well, that's a suspiciously warm greeting," Luke told them.

Kacie chuckled. "And you're paranoid as usual, Luke. But don't worry, we just want to talk to Tory."

"Well, then, it must be important if you're asking me for a favor," Tory told them.

"This is about Hope, Rae, Emma, Danny and Madison," Mikayla told them. "The dark magic within Hope, Madison, Emma and Danny have had some peculiar side effects. They've got these dark lines, like poisoned veins running up their arms. Today, Rae has been getting veins of Hellfire on her skin, too."

"And after everything that Rosalita did, she would be tormenting Rae far more than the Hollow is tormenting Hope, Emma, Danny and Madison," Kacie pointed out. "We just need to know what could happen to all of them."

"Okay?" Mikayla asked.

Luke, Tory and Lyla nodded in agreement. "Okay."

-----

Elijah/Nicola's Room

Nicola was drinking, looking at old pictures, sensing Elijah walk in behind her. "Just drinking to take the edge off. Maia's gone. Rosalita's locked away in Rae. The vampires are gone. The purists ones, anyway. But there are the good ones that remain, and I need to drink so that urges don't take over and make me kill them."

Elijah walked closer. "We will figure it all out, Nicola. I promise you. I wanted to tell you something. Marcel, Auria, Caitlin, Noah, Freya and Keelin are planning to get married. "

"Yeah, I heard," Nicola told him.

"No, I mean, today," Elijah explained. Nicola looked up, slightly surprised. "Kaylin, Rebekah and Kassandra are going to be maids of honor. Niklaus, Kol and I are going to be the best men. Kassandra, Kacie and Mikayla are securing the venue. Eliza is going to do the ceremony. Lyla is the flower girl. Freya asked me if I could walk her down the aisle, and I said yes. After everything that happened, we deserve a celebration like this. All of us. Salvatores, Mikaelsons, Fells, Forbes, Davis-Thompsons, Lockwoods, Labonairs, Gerard, Rayvnne, Harris, Dumaine, Grey and Castle. I was wondering if you would like to come."

Nicola looked up nervously. "I don't know if I can do that."

Elijah sat down. "No, I--I know that you're going through a lot and that you're grieving and fighting off this dark part of you, and I'm here for you. Kaylin, Rae, Tory, Lyla, we're all here for you."

"I want to be there for our family, Elijah," Nicola told him. "I really, really do. But who's all going to be there? I mean, any vampires that I could possibly kill. Marcel, Noah, Caitlin, Auria, Kaylin, Eliza, Kacie, Mikayla, Luke and Tory, I could kill them with ease. The only ones I wouldn't be able to if I lost control would be you, Klaus, Kassandra, Rebekah, Kol and Lucien. I just don't want to take the chance. Or take the chance of hurting Lindsey, Ryan, Riley, Freya, Keelin, Rae, Hope, Emma, Danny, Lyla and Madison in the process. I won't put the people I love in danger ever again. Not Salvatores, Mikaelsons, Fells, Forbes, Davis-Thompsons, Lockwoods, Labonairs, Castle or Grey. Even though I really would like to be there for the union of Gerard/Rayvnne and Harris/Dumaine."

Elijah nodded in understanding, sighing worriedly in sympathy.

-----

Riley's Room

Riley was going through pictures of Hayley, looking at them sadly, having a drink.

Flashback

Night - Bar

Hayley and Riley were having a night out, chuckling, drinking.

"Can I make a guess here?" Riley asked. "You either grew up broke or you're a terrible drunk."

"Excuse me?" Hayley asked in amusement.

"I've noticed every time you drink, you nurse a drink for over an hour," Riley explained.

Hayley chuckled in amusement, smiling. "Well, maybe there are some things that neither money nor alcohol can solve. And I grew up a bad drunk, to answer your question. That's how I triggered my curse, because I was drunk."

Riley nodded in understanding. "Ah. Well, you're not the only bad drunk around, Hayley. But at least I can handle my alcohol."

Hayley chuckled. "Okay, you got me there."

"Do you want something a little stronger than Bordeaux?" Riley asked.

"Oh, I'm fine, thank you," Hayley answered.

They both smiled, laughing lightly.

"What do you like of this city so far?" Riley asked.

"I like all of it so far," Hayley answered. "But considering we just got here, it'd be nice to see more of it. After I finish this drink. Really not keen on heading back to the hotel and bumping into the concierge."

Riley smiled. "Otto. The notorious flirt that has a deep, profound thing for you."

Hayley laughed. "Well, he's not shy."

Riley shook his head in agreement. "Mm-mm. Not shy." He took Hayley by the hand. "Okay, we got to get out of here. We're in this city once, because Klaus and Kaylin said that they could take care of Hope and Rae, while we have our honeymoon. You said you wanted to see more of the city."

"Well, I would love to," Hayley answered. "Our lives are a roller coaster, Riley, but right now, everything is okay for once. And you, being you, make it all seem like it's normal. Like it's gonna be okay forever."

They both smiled, as Riley took Hayley's hand and spun her around to stand and walked for the door, both laughing.

Lucien's Penthouse

(Song:) Hang On a Little Longer - Ruelle

Lucien was taking out some anger by trashing a few things.

Kassandra walked closer, confused. "What are you doing? I thought you wanted to be back in this place."

"Yeah, so did I, love," Lucien told her. "But recent events have made me see things a little differently."

"Rosalita and Maia are gone," Kassandra told him. "Marcel and Auria, Noah and Caitlin, and Freya and Keelin are getting married today. Rebekah, Kaylin and I are going to be bridesmaids. Nik, Elijah and Kol are best men. I'm helping Kacie and Mikayla secure the venue, trying to, at least. Niklaus said that he would take over for that if he had to. Eliza is doing the ceremony. Lyla is going to be a flower girl. Nicola, even if she doesn't think so, she would probably more than likely end up there. Us Salvatores, Mikaelsons, Fells, Forbes, Davis-Thompsons, Lockwoods, Labonairs, Gerard, Rayvnne, Harris, Dumaine, Grey and Castle finally have a chance to pause and catch our breaths and celebrate something and be happy. What else is there to see differently?"

"It's what Rosalita said about not having seen the last of her, and it was like she wanted Rae to trap her inside of her," Lucien answered. "And Maia tricked Hope, Emma and Danny into triggering their curses. It might be for the best for all of us to just get out of this place. Kassandra, do you ever feel like we keep pushing the same stone up the same hill, and it just rolls right back down, and it crashes on top of us?"

"More than I would like," Kassandra answered. "We had so many years of being separated as a family, and when we were finally able to come back together, Rosalita and Maia happened. And we lost a lot. We all went through a lot. And right now, the Hollow and Rosalita are still threatening to destroy Hope, Rae, Emma, Danny and Madison. But we need today, Lucien. We need today for some kind of celebration, for some type of happiness, so that we all don't lose our minds."

Lucien was impressed with the speech and knowing that she was right, walking closer, chuckling. "Kassandra Mikaelson. My love. When did you get so wise?"

"I've always been that way, darling," Kassandra answered.

Lucien nodded in amusement. "Oh."

"Just let us have one day of happiness after everything that's happened, Lucien," Kassandra told him. "One day of light in the dark."

Lucien chuckled. "All right. For you, Sandra."

Lucien brushed back Kassandra's hair. They looked at each other for a moment before sharing a passionate kiss.

Abattoir Compound - Mikayla's Room

Mikayla and Kacie were here, sitting down.

"Do we have everything set up for Marcel/Auria, Noah/Caitlin and Freya/Keelin's wedding?" Mikayla asked.

"I think so," Kacie answered. "If not, things are gonna be set up." She looked at her. "Mikayla, what's wrong?"

Mikayla sighed. "These past few days... weeks even... after everything that happened to Hayley, Josh, Hope, Rae, Emma, Danny and Madison, and then the near death calls, and Kol, Eliza and Nicola being taken over Rosalita and Maia before we saved them... I couldn't stop any of it. It's like I am no good to anybody right now. I'm no good to Salvatores, or Mikaelsons, or linked ties to them like Fells or Forbes. Not Davis-Thompsons, Grey. Not even Castle. Or you, Lockwood. And now today is a union of Harris/Dumaine, Gerard/Rayvnne, and I'm no good to them either."

Kacie looked at her in concern, sitting down with her. "No, hey. Mikayla..."

"I don't know if I can do it, Kacie," Mikayla admitted. "We had all those years of vigilance. We had all those years of peace. And good people died. My sister died. And it means nothing. Nothing that I have ever done in my entire life has meant anything at all."

Kacie shook her head. "That's not true. That is not true. We had seven years of peace because of you. Because of all of us. Seven years of people not having to apologize for who they were, not having to mourn their dead. That was you. That was us."

Mikayla sighed, shaking her head. "And it's over. And I thought that it was gonna last longer. I had no idea how fragile it was."

Kacie took Mikayla by the hand. "All of this was because of Rosalita and Maia. They break the unbreakable, and we were unbreakable before they came along again. But now that they're gone, we can get back to that unbreakable point. We can finally live the lives that we deserve. You know that Hayley wouldn't want you to give up, Mikayla, so don't."

Mikayla looked at her in relief, chuckling, shaking her head. "Kacie Lockwood, I don't know what I would do without you."

Kacie chuckled. "And you never have to find out, Mikayla Labonair-Kenner. Maybe future Lockwood yourself."

Kacie and Mikayla embraced, sharing a kiss.

Rae's Room

Rae was pacing, looking at her Hellfire veins, starting to freak out.

Danny walked in. "Rae?"

Rae looked at him in surprise. "Danny. What are you doing here?"

"I wanted to check on you," Danny answered. "Klaus and Kaylin let me in. I know that Hope, Emma, Madison and I are having hard enough time controlling the Hollow, and it's making us so much worse, even with your help, and Aunt Tory and Lyla's help. Uncle Luke's been there for us, but what can he really do to help magically? And you have Rosalita inside you. I can only imagine..."

"Well, Maia just made you, Hope and Emma trigger your curses on top of it all, Danny," Rae pointed out. "Now we know that none of us made it through Rosalita and Maia's torture unscathed. I used to see the light at the end of the tunnel, and I thought that would be locking the devil inside me. Like we did with the Hollow with you, Danny, and with Hope, Emma and Madison. Wishing that we would come out of the rubble stronger than before."

Danny sighed, walking closer. "It's hard to find the will to fight anymore. When all we can do is survive. Do you think that it's gonna get better one day? That the pain is gonna fade away? After all the hell that we had to pay?"

Rae nodded. "If we hang on a little longer. After everything that we went through, a miracle has to be on its way. We just have to try and drown out the whispers of the Hollow and Rosalita and try not to let them make us go dark. Even when they try to cripple us. And they will."

Danny nodded in agreement. "Of course they will. I just want it to get better, Rae."

Rae nodded sadly, holding her head in pain as Rosalita overwhelmed her with whispers and psychic energy from inside, her eyes glowing with Hellfire, nearly crying from the pain and the searing fire inside. Danny looked at her worriedly in concern, knowing exactly what she was going through because of the Hollow inside him, Hope, Emma and Madison, wrapping his arms around her comfortingly. Rae leaned her head on Danny's shoulder as they remained in each other's arms.

Rousseau's

Marcel and Noah were getting ready in their suits.

"Do you really think Josh will find peace?" Noah asked.

"If anyone deserves it, it's Josh," Marcel told him. "Yeah, I think he will, Noah."

Noah nodded. "Yeah. Me too. I wish, anyway. And Josh deserves a lot more than that. He deserves to see Aiden again. Be with him in the afterlife. I wish he is."

Marcel chuckled sadly. "So do I."

Noah poured them both a shot. "Caitlin would kill me if she saw me pouring the good stuff like water. You have to earn a shot of this."

Marcel raised his glass. "To Josh. He found the good fight. You ready for today?"

"Yeah, I am," Noah answered. "And I know you are too, Marcel."

Marcel nodded in agreement. "Damn straight."

Marcel and Noah clinked their glasses, drinking.

Abattoir Compound - Courtyard

Hope, Rae, Emma, Danny and Madison were sitting with Lyla now, practicing magic.

Luke, Ryan, Tory and Lindsey walked closer.

"Hey," Tory told them.

Danny and Emma looked up. "Hey, Mom, Dad, Uncle Luke. Aunt Tory."

Lyla smiled, waving. "Hey, Aunt Lindsey. Uncle Ryan."

Lindsey and Ryan chuckled. "Hey, Lyla."

"You okay?" Tory asked.

"No," Emma answered. "And I'm pretty sure Danny and I drowned the memorials for the guys we killed with tears."

"How're your heads?" Ryan asked.

"Buzzing," Hope answered.

"We can make you tea," Luke offered. "That could help."

"And never underestimate the power of wedding champagne," Tory told them.

"Do you think they'd let us skip the wedding?" Hope asked. "It's just, uh... with the way we feel, we don't want to ruin the day."

"You missing it would ruin the day," Luke pointed out. "And Marcel, Auria, Caitlin and Noah are going through with today because of a promise that a dying Josh made Marcel, Noah and Caitlin back."

Lindsey knelt next to them. "I know you all have a lot going on right now, but, you know, one thing I learned as a girl with the world on her shoulders at 15, is that you need to live in the moment."

"Okay?" Ryan asked.

Rae, Hope, Emma, Danny and Madison nodded. "Okay."

Luke chuckled. "Good."

"Mom, Dad, can I be the flower girl?" Lyla asked.

Tory smiled. "Of course you will be. Kol, Elijah, Kassandra, Freya, Auria, Caitlin, Marcel and Noah already said that you would be, Lyla."

Lyla did a little cheer. "Yay!"

This made the adults chuckle and the teens smile slightly.

"You guys go ahead and go get ready," Luke told them. "We'll catch up."

"Thank you," Emma told them.

"Yes, thank you," Madison agreed.

The teens nodded, taking Lyla by the hands to lead her away to get ready.

Lindsey and Tory lingered behind with Luke and Ryan, casting a spell together. "Les lames colligo. Ad me gluttuli. Les lames colligo. Ad me gluttuli."

Ryan looked at them in concern. "When can we know the results of the spell?"

"It's not an exact science, Ryan," Lindsey told him.

Tory nodded worriedly. "But we think soon."

Ryan and Luke sighed anxiously, concerned. "Yeah."

Downstairs Living Room

Freya, Caitlin and Auria were trying on wedding dresses, while Mikayla, Kacie, Eliza, Kassandra, Rebekah and Kaylin were helping.

Caitlin looked herself over in the mirror. "I look like a disco ball."

Rebekah smiled. "There are plenty more to choose from."

"You should be lucky that Rebekah has so many wedding dresses for you to choose," Kaylin told them.

Kassandra smiled. "Yeah."

"Elijah's still walking me down the aisle," Freya told them. "Auria and Caitlin don't have anyone to walk them down the aisle."

"Oh, I'm sure that either Luke or Ryan will step up to the plate to be there for Auria and Caitlin on your big day," Eliza pointed out.

"And Nicola?" Rebekah asked. "Will she be there?"

"I don't know," Kaylin admitted. "I mean, the Nicola I know would put anything aside for family, whether it's the Salvatore blood side, or Mikaelson by marriage side, plus Fell-Forbes, and Lockwoods and Davis-Thompsons since we've known them and done anything for them for two decades, and now Labonairs, Gerard, Rayvnne, Harris, Dumaine, Grey and even Castle, but she's different now. She's carrying around all this guilt, like she should be punished for the things she's done."

Eliza sighed, nodding. 'To Sarah, to Tyler, Hayley, all her family and friends, here and back home, but she didn't have a choice in the matter because it wasn't even her that did those things, but the Huntress alter ego inside of her. Kind of pisses me off."

"Yes, well, it wouldn't be a Mikaelson family gathering without one of us being mad at another," Rebekah pointed out. "Me, Niklaus, Hope, Elijah, Kassandra, Kol and Freya are living proof of that. And yes, Kaylin and Nicola Salvatore and Eliza Forbes are still part of us because of marriage, as is Lucien Castle. And by extended family, Madison, Rae, Kacie, Mikayla and Riley, and yes, even Marcel, Noah, Caitlin and Auria. Even Lindsey, Ryan, Tory, Luke, Emma, Danny and Lyla lately. Fell, Lockwood, Labonair-Kenner, Grey, Gerard, Dumaine, Harris, Rayvnne, and Davis-Thompsons."

"Even you seriously consider us as part of the family, too, not just friends?" Auria asked.

"Just friends?" Rebekah repeated. "Oh, please, Auria. Marcel has been part of this family no matter how many ups and downs we had since he was a child. Niklaus calls him his own son. And now that you're marrying Marcel, and Noah and Caitlin are family to you and Marcel, guess that kind of makes you like family, too."

"Absolutely," Kassandra agreed.

Caitlin and Auria smiled, touched. "Thank you."

Kaylin chuckled. "Yeah. And Kacie, Tory, Luke, Lindsey and Ryan were like family friends in Mystic Falls, not to mention Tory and Lyla being related to me and my family because of Rosalita and Maia and Silas, and after everything we've all gone through with Hope, Rae, Emma, Danny, Madison and Lyla, and Rosalita, Maia and the Hollow bringing us all closer together..."

"It's like we're one big family," Eliza finished.

"Yeah," Kaylin answered. She chuckled, looking at Auria, Caitlin and Freya. "Just wait until you have kids. Since I doubt Kassandra and Lucien are the types to have any."

"Kaylin," Kassandra told her.

"Don't Kaylin me," Kaylin replied.

Kassandra did it again to tease her. "Kaylin, Kaylin, Kaylin, Kaylin, Kaylin." Kaylin smirked sarcastically while the others smiled. Kassandra looked at the others. "Kaylin's right. Lucien and I won't. Not while I'm still recovering from madness. From Rosalita and Maia sparking up the madness again."

"I don't know if Keelin and I will have kids," Freya admitted.

"If?" Kaylin repeated. "Keelin doesn't talk like it's an if."

Freya looked at them nervously. "We haven't exactly had the conversation."

Rebekah nodded. "Oh. Well, don't you think you should do that before you walk down the aisle?"

"And Auria, Marcel, Noah and Caitlin are all vampires," Kacie told them. "Not really seeing the kid thing being possible."

Mikayla chuckled. "There is always something called adoption, Kacie. Like with Marcel and Auria, tending to Caitlin and Davina, but they could try again with a baby adoption, and so could Noah and Caitlin."

"That is true," Kaylin agreed. "Mikayla's right."

"Not sure I would raise a kid in this city," Auria admitted.

Caitlin nodded in understanding. "Me neither. But you and Marcel made the perfect adoptive parents to me and Davina, Auria. Can only imagine what kind of parents you would be if you actually adopted a kid."

"I miss Davina," Auria told her.

Caitlin nodded. "Me too."

Smiling sadly and knowingly, still happy, Auria and Caitlin embraced, sighing.

The other girls smiled at this.

"I'm so happy for all of you," Rebekah told them.

"I'm happy for you, too," Kassandra agreed. "At least you all get to have a happy ending now."

"Is Riley going to be coming?" Rebekah asked. "I mean, after everything?"

"He should be," Kaylin answered. "Riley said he would. But he's in a lot of pain now."

Nicola was sitting in the room, drinking, having heard the girls talking, chuckling slightly at what they said about her, gazing off, remembering.

Manosque, France

Night - Cafe Etoile

(Song:) Quiet - Andrew Oye

Elijah and Nicola were at the art show, looking around.

"Do you know the artist?" Nicola asked.

"No," Elijah answered. "I made friends with the cafe owner."

"Well, I hope he's a better cook than a curator," Nicola told him.

Elijah smiled. "I see. You don't like culture."

"We live in France, and you call this culture?" Nicola asked. "I had a lot better paintings in the boarding house I used to live in."

Elijah chuckled in amusement. "Obviously this is beneath you. Shame on me. Come on."

"This is derivative," Nicola told him.

"Yeah, it's a little derivative," Elijah agreed. "You know what I've found, though?" He took wine from a server passing by. "Thank you, sir. The more you drink, the more exceptional the art becomes."

Elijah and Nicola smiled, drinking.

"You know, I used to, um, be intimidated by things like this, when I was human," Nicola admitted.

"Well, now you're a vampire and a Huntress, you don't strike me as the shrinking violent type," Eliijah pointed out.

"And now I could kick your ass," Nicola replied.

Elijah smiled. 'I don't doubt it."

Nicola smiled. "There weren't a lot of Michelin stars where I grew up. Actually, most of the antiques I had back home in Mystic Falls, they were passed down from generation to generation, all sitting still in the boarding house, which Lindsey and Ryan turned into their magic school."

Elijah nodded in understanding. "Can I ask you a question?"

"Of course," Nicola answered.

"You love it here, don't you?" Elijah asked. "I mean, you're happy?"

"Happiest than I've been in my entire life," Nicola answered. They both smiled. "It's love at first sight. Something feels right, you don't question it."

They smiled, looking at each other contently, sharing a deep, passionate kiss and embrace.

Day - Abattoir Compound - Downstairs Living Room

Keelin was getting ready.

Freya walked in. "Keelin."

Keelin jumped up to hide from her. "Are you crazy? It's bad luck to see my dress before the ceremony."

Freya cleared her throat. "Um, we need to talk."

Keelin peeked her head out. "That's your serious voice. Why are you using it on our wedding day?"

"I think I may have given you the wrong impression about something," Freya admitted.

Keelin grabbed a jacket to wrap around herself. "Okay." Now that she had hid her dress with the jacket, she stepped out into the open. "Now you're scaring me."

Freya looked down nervously. "No, um, it's my fault. And every time you talked about it, I just went along with it."

"Talked about what?" Keelin asked.

"Having a family," Freya answered.

Keelin frowned. "I don't understand."

"I lost a son before he was even born and barely got over it," Freya explained.

Keelin walked closer. "I know, baby. I know how painful that was. It's not gonna be like that for us."

Freya took Keelin's hands. "No, no, listen. I'm--I'm sorry, but this is something I can't do. I won't."

Keelin looked at her, stunned. "So that's it? You wait until two hours before our triple wedding with Marcel, Noah, Caitlin and Auria, to bring this up, and it's just something you won't do? I don't get a say?"

"I know what this means to you, okay?" Freya asked. "I can't--I can't ask you to sacrifice something so important."

Keelin dropped the jacket to the floor. "Are you serious right now?"

"I can't give you what you want, Keelin," Freya told her. "You deserve better."

Freya turned around, walking out, leaving Keelin in shock.

Freya's Room

Kaylin, Eliza, Mikayla, Kacie, Rebekah and Kassandra found Freya crying, concerned, embracing her. "Freya?"

"Kaylin was right about talking to Keelin," Freya explained. "But now I guess we're off."

"What happened?" Rebekah asked.

"I should have said something before now, but look at our family," Freya told them. "How do you tell someone you can't have a child because you're afraid you're gonna hurt it? That you'll find some way to put your needs before theirs because that's what your parents did to you? That you're toxic and broken and a Mikaelson, and that's just what we do. I mean, look at Klaus, Elijah, Kassandra, Kol and you, Rebekah. And me."

"Listen to me," Eliza told her. "Kaylin had the same fear when Cade first brought back Rae, because that's all her family did to her, too. And Kol and I were worried about that happening with Madison, because of everything that we had gone through, even recently because of Rosalita and Maia, but we made it through, and we made it through better."

"We may be damaged, but we are not doomed to repeat our parents's mistakes," Kaylin told her. "After everything that we have been through, none of us would see a child of ours suffer just to ease our own pain."

"Hope, Rae, Emma, Danny, Madison and Lyla are living proof of that," Mikayla pointed out.

"Besides, Freya, you always put your family in front of yourself," Rebekah added. "If Nik, Kaylin, Kol and Eliza could break family patterns or nasty mind control, for the sake of Hope, Rae and Madison, you can break the pattern with your own child."

"Do you really believe that?" Freya asked.

"Yeah, we do," Kassandra answered. "And so does Keelin."

"Which is why you should be talking to her right now," Kacie told her.

Freya managed a small smile. "Thank you."

Freya walked off to go talk to Keelin.

Rebekah smiled slightly. "You know, Mikayla..." Mikayla looked at her. "Kassandra and I have been best friends with Kaylin, Nicola, Eliza and Kacie, and we've been foes, and we've been what the kids call frenemies..." They smiled, chuckling. "And now we're all sisters. It feels like that's where it's always been leading."

Eliza smiled, nodding. "Yeah. Yeah, it does, Rebekah. With both you and Kassandra."

Riley's Room

Riley was almost done getting ready, sighing, sitting down, thinking.

Flashback

Night - Park

Riley and Hayley were watching an older couple dancing.

"Do you think they know how rare that is?" Hayley asked.

"What do you mean?" Riley asked.

"Love someone for so long," Hayley answered. "Thinking about everything that happened in our past, it taught me to be sentimental."

"Yeah, I guess some of these things can't be measured in time," Riley agreed.

"You ever feel like that?" Hayley asked.

"Like what?" Riley asked.

"Like you were just destined for someone?" Hayley asked.

"Yes," Riley answered. "It's the reason why I asked you to marry me." He turned to Hayley, taking Hayley in his arms as he spun her around in a dance. Hayley laughed happily in surprise as she went along with the dance, spinning closer into his arms. "And we did marry and get some semblance of a happy ending, Hayley."

Hayley smiled. "Well, I'm glad I get to have my happy ending with you, Riley Grey."

"Me too," Riley agreed. "With you. About what you said before, about being destine for each other, then I guess even after this life, guess we'll meet again in another."

Hayley nodded in agreement. "If we're destined to meet each other in another life, just know... I'll be waiting for another dance."

They continued to dance happily, more free than any other time in past or future, smiling, kissing passionately.

Now

Day - St. Louis Cathedral - Bell Tower

Lindsey and Tory were in the middle of doing a spell, while Luke and Ryan were watching.

"I don't recognize this," Luke told them.

"It's a transcription spell," Tory explained. "We know that the Hollow's basically consuming Hope, Emma, Danny and Madison, even though Rae, Lyla and I've been fighting hard to control it, but it's getting stronger inside them. And Rosalita could consume Rae."

"So we're using the magical signature of each one to see if we can find an antidote," Lindsey explained.

"If?" Ryan repeated.

"And if there is one, then it'll be in one of Esther's grimoires," Tory told them. "And this spell will lead us right to it."

Luke looked at Ryan, nodding to Tory and Lindsey. "Gorgeous, brilliant and powerful. Remind me to never piss off our wives, Ryan."

Ryan chuckled. "Right. You got a point, Luke."

Lindsey and Tory smiled, and then started the spell. "Mennen nou au sort. Ledat remedium. Mennen nou au sort. Ledat remedium."

Nothing happened.

Ryan frowned. "Something's wrong."

Lindsey and Tory tried the spell again. "Mennen nou au sort. Ledat remedium. Mennen nou au sort. Ledat remedium."

This time, the table went up in flames, making them back away from the grimoire. Tory used her power to put the flames out, but it was too late to save the grimoire.

"It's gone," Lindsey told them.

"And that was Hellfire," Luke told them. "Do you think..."

"That Rosalita can still play games with us when she's locked away inside Rae?" Ryan finished. "Yeah, I think she can."

Luke sighed worriedly, frustrated. "Great."

Wedding Location

Klaus took over for the venue on Kassandra, Mikayla and Kacie's behalf, talking to a woman.

"This was scheduled a year ago," the woman told him. "We're not changing it for you."

"Well, you see, Freya, Caitlin and Auria really like this venue," Klaus told her, compelling her. "And they will be getting married here today to Keelin, Noah and Marcel. Unless, of course, you want this wedding to turn into a funeral." Kaylin walked toward Klaus, overcome with worry. Klaus was concerned by the look he saw, walking closer. "Kaylin?"

"I spoke to Luke and Ryan," Kaylin told him. "Tory and Lindsey say that the dark magic from Rosalita and the Hollow is destroying Hope, Rae, Emma, Danny and Madison from the inside out, even with Tory and Lyla's help. Rae's immortal, so Rosalita can't kill her, but the Hollow can kill Hope, Emma, Danny and Madison, and it's only a matter of time before it does."

"So how do we stop it?" Klaus asked.

Kaylin shook her head, desperately fighting off tears. "They say there's nothing we can do. Lindsey and Ryan, Kol and Eliza are complete messes right now, but trying to keep it together."

Klaus was just as horrified, desperate and in denial as the other parents were. "How long?"

Kaylin sighed, looking down. "Weeks. Days. Maybe hours. There's no way to know." She was close to crying, fighting it off. "I can't lose them, Nik."

Klaus took his wife by the arms, pulling her closer to look her in the eyes. "Kaylin. Kaylin, look at me, love. You, Riley, Kol, Eliza, Lindsey, Ryan and I are not losing Hope, Rae, Emma, Danny or Madison. I promise you."

Abattoir Compound - Courtyard

Caitlin was standing, pacing, on the phone with Noah. "Do you really think that we should do this today? I mean, today of all days?"

"You mean after Josh?" Noah asked.

Caitlin nodded sadly. "Yeah, after Josh."

"Well, he made us make that promise for a reason, Caitlin," Noah pointed out. "He made you, me and Marcel make it, and knowing that Auria would want to honor his last wish too."

Caitlin had tears in her eyes, nodding. "Yeah. I know. It's just... I know that he would kill us if we backed out, especially after we finally stopped Rosalita and Maia. But still. I want to marry you, Noah. I want to be with you for the rest of my life."

"Then what's the problem?" Noah asked.

"I just... didn't want to inconvenience anyone after everything," Caitlin answered.

"Everyone's already said that they needed the celebration after taking down Rosalita and Maia, Caitlin," Noah told her. "And we belong to each other, so today, we'll just be making it official. We'll be together, and our lives will give balance to each other, and bring out the awesomeness in both you and I."

Caitlin chuckled at Noah's joke. "Yeah. We're already advocates for each other. Always lending a helping hand. We help each other meet our marks or to overcome challenges. Or even just to stand by with understanding and approval."

"That's right," Noah agreed. "This happiness, this goodness, it might not strike up in just each other's lives, but strike up in the lives of our loved ones, our community, and our home."

Caitlin chuckled contently. "You always know just what to say, don't you?"

"When it comes to you, I do," Noah answered.

Caitlin nodded. "Okay."

"Do you feel better now?" Noah asked.

"Yeah," Caitlin answered.

"Ready to go through with this?" Noah asked.

"Yeah," Caitlin answered. "Now I am."

Noah smiled. "Good."

Caitlin hesitated, considering something. "Hey, Noah. Would you ever consider having adoptive or surrogate children like we've seen from Marcel and Auria with me and Davina, or more?"

Noah chuckled. "I had a feeling that you would ask something like that eventually. And the answer is yes. We can talk about it more after today."

Caitlin smiled. "Good. Bye."

"Good," Noah replied. "Bye."

Noah and Caitlin both hung up, looking content and reassured, happy.

Hallway

Auria was also on the phone with Marcel.

"So Freya and Keelin are backing out, huh?" Marcel asked.

"No, we don't know that for sure," Auria answered.

"Then what happened?" Marcel asked.

"They just got into this fight over whether or not they wanted kids," Auria answered.

Marcel nodded in understanding. "Ah. That makes sense."

"Yes, it does," Auria answered.

"What about you?" Marcel asked. "Or Caitlin? You two having cold feet, too?"

"Caitlin was," Auria answered.

"Was?" Marcel repeated.

"Yeah, I think Caitlin talked it out with Noah and she's ready," Auria answered.

"And are you?" Marcel asked.

Auria smiled, nodding. "Am I ready to spend the rest of eternity with you as my husband? Yes, I am, Marcel Gerard."

Marcel chuckled. "Then I can't wait to finally have you as my wife for the rest of eternity, Auria Rayvnne. The first time I saw you, I just kind of knew that you were my girl."

Auria smiled slightly. "Really?"

"Yeah," Marcel answered. "I was instantly comfortable with and intrigued by you, and now, all these years later, I still am."

Auria smirked. "Yeah? What else?"

Marcel smiled. "You are an amazing woman who I think brings out the best in me, while also keeping me on my toes. You constantly inspire me to be a better man, to try harder, to be a better friend, to make a better effort. I'm admittedly better at some of these than others, but your trust in me always keeps me going."

Auria smiled. "Well, that's good to know."

"Yeah, I bet it is," Marcel told her. "Your turn."

Auria laughed lightly, thinking, biting her lip. "You know me better than anyone else in this world, and somehow still you love me. I love the woman I am when I am with you. She is fearless and unconditionally loved, and that is such an awesome gift you have given me. And even with a dark history, you've changed so much. Into one of the most compassionate people I know. I am proud to call you my man."

They were both emotional and happy, tears in their eyes.

"Save the good stuff for the wedding, all right?" Marcel asked. "I love you, Auria."

Auria smiled, laughing lightly. "I love you too, Marcel. I'll see you then."

They both hung up, smiling slightly.

Ballroom

Freya walked in to see Keelin getting ready to leave, walking closer. "Please don't."

"Don't what?" Keelin snapped. "Do what's best for myself? I have waiting for you for years, lived on your terms, set aside what I needed for myself to make you happy! And then you pull this crap?"

"Would you rather I lie to you?" Freya asked.

"No, of course not," Keelin answered. "But you're the reason why I wanted to have kids in the first place, okay? I didn't want to pass on my werewolf gene. But then I met you, and I saw how you were with family, and how much love that you have to offer. And it made me want more."

Keelin walked past Freya.

Freya turned to face her. "It's not like I didn't think about it. For--for all the same reasons."

"Then why be so definitive?" Keelin asked.

"Because--because I'm terrified," Freya answered.

"Who isn't?" Keelin replied, walking closer. "Yes, see, that's the look that I need. That's the 'I don't know what to do' look. That's the 'you're my partner, let's work it out together' look. And believe me, it is a lot better than the Mikaelson 'I'm gonna stubbornly make all the decisions for the both f us until the end of time' look."

Freya couldn't help a small chuckle. "Oh, God, you must hate that look."

"I hate that look like you wouldn't believe," Keelin answered. "If you really feel like kids can't ever be on the table, then just give me some time to process that before we jump into marriage. But if it's something that you're really open to discussing one day, and I mean truly open, not just trying to get me in a white dress. Then tell me that, too."

"I love you so much," Freya told her.

Keelin nodded. "I love you, too. So now what?"

Freya walked closer. "I'm open to spending the rest of my life figuring that out together. I'm open to conquering my fears. I'm open to considering having a family. And..." She took Keelin's hand, voice breaking. "And I'm open... to marrying you today. If you still want to."

Keelin nodded. "Hmm, I have to think about it. Yes. Yes, Freya."

They both embraced in relief, no longer crying.

Courtyard

Nicola was getting ready to leave the compound.

Elijah walked toward her. "Where are you going?"

"I was about to head out, try to get rid of these urges before something bad happened," Nicola answered. "I didn't wanna bother anyone today. What's wrong?"

"The dark magic of the Hollow and Rosalita inside Hope, Rae, Emma, Danny and Madison is destroying them," Elijah answered. "Rae is immortal, so she won't die, but Hope, Emma, Danny and Madison... they're dying. We can't tell anyone else, not today."

Nicola looked at him in shock and horror, worried. "What did you say?"

"They're dying," Elijah answered.

"Well, then I suspect I'm the last person they need right now," Nicola told him. "Elijah, I'm just making the dark magic in Hope worse. I want to be there for you. For all of you. But how can I if being around her is going to make her worse, or if I'm having issues not losing control around Kaylin, Mikayla, Marcel, Noah, Caitlin, Auria, Kacie, Tory, Luke and Eliza? How can I be there for them, or Rae, Emma, Danny, Madison and Lyla? Or Klaus, Kassandra, Freya, Rebekah, Lindsey, Ryan, Riley and Kol? Even Lucien?"

Elijah walked closer. "It is not you that is making this worse, Nicola. For any of us. They are all already forgiving you. Some of them have never even blamed you to begin with. The blame has always come from yourself. And forgiveness from yourself is what you need the most."

"I can't forgive myself for Hayley, if I can't forgive myself for what I did to my own family and friends back home, and here in New Orleans," Nicola told him. "Just... tell me what you need from me today. Tell me what I can do."

Elijah was relieved to hear this, nodding, sighing shakily. Nicola stepped closer, worried and concerned, not knowing exactly what to do, but knowing she had to do something. They both embraced.

Wedding Venue

Freya, Auria and Caitlin were all ready for the wedding, waiting. Rebekah and Kassandra were standing by their sides, waiting for Kaylin, Klaus, Elijah and Nicola.

"I'm sure they would be here if they could," Rebekah told them.

"Yeah," Caitlin sighed sadly. "Maybe we were expecting too much."

"Well, it's time," Kassandra told them. "No one deserves this more than you."

Rebekah and Kassandra walked away to get their seats.

Klaus walked toward Freya. "If it's not too presumptuous, perhaps I might escort you."

Elijah walked toward them. "Not if I have anything to say about it."

Kaylin and Nicola followed.

Freya looked at Kaylin and Nicola in relief, smiling. "Kaylin. Nicola."

Luke and Ryan walked closer.

Luke gave Klaus, Elijah, Kaylin and Nicola an amused look. "You're late."

"Fashionably so," Kaylin agreed.

Nicola looked at Freya. "Well, then, looks like you're stuck with both of your brothers, and Luke and Ryan are generously offering to walk Auria and Caitlin, Freya."

Freya, Auria and Caitlin smiled.

"You ready?" Ryan asked.

"We are now," Auria answered.

Kaylin reached toward Nicola. "Nikki..."

Nicola shook her head. "I don't know if I'm ready to get back to normal, Kaylin."

"Well, no one's asking you to get back to normal," Kaylin pointed out. "But with Tory, Lyla and Rae all here... you have nothing to fear. Okay?"

Nicola nodded barely. "Okay."

Nicola hesitantly took Kaylin's hand. Tory, Lyla and Rae were watching, using mind control to help her stay in control. Nicola sighed in relief now that the urges weren't overwhelming her completely. Kaylin nodded knowingly, leading Nicola to their seats next to Tory, Lyla, Rae and Hope.

Luke gave Lyla a little nudge. "It's time, Lyla."

Lyla smiled excitedly. "Yay!"

Lyla ran down the path, throwing flower petals, much to everyone's amusement to the cuteness, content.

Klaus and Elijah both walked Freya down the aisle, while Luke walked Caitlin down the aisle, and Ryan walked Auria down the aisle, handing them off to Keelin, Noah and Marcel at the alter in front of Eliza. Lucien, Kassandra, Rebekah, Mikayla, Kacie, Tory, Lyla, Rae, Nicola, Kaylin, Hope, Riley, Madison, Kol, Lindsey, Emma and Danny were all watching with smiles.

Keelin, Noah and Marcel couldn't look away from their soon to be brides, in awe.

Klaus, Elijah, Luke and Ryan went to take their seats.

Freya noticed that Keelin had changed her wedding dress. "What happened to your dress?"

"Are you kidding, girl?" Keelin asked. "I'm not taking any chances."

They both chuckled.

Eliza started the ceremony, during which time, Marcel/Auria, Noah/Caitlin and Freya/Keelin couldn't look away from each other, smiling happily. "Dearly beloved, now, to make this a little different and more fun ceremony because we all need a little ray of light in our lives... Right, Rae? Klaus always called Kaylin his ray of light in the darkness, and that's why Kaylin named you Rae, so you're a literal ray of light in the darkness, as proven each chance you get to prove it." Everyone chuckled. "We know how families work. Sometimes it's dinner."

"And sometimes it's daggers," Kol joked.

That got more chuckles.

"Now, I don't know why it takes something as special as this to wake us up to make us aware of the beauty in the moment, during the moment, or be grateful for what we have, while we have it," Eliza admitted. "Now, I, for one, am grateful for today and I'm grateful for all of you. Keelin, when I first met you, I would have never predicted that you would become part of our family, too, considering that Kacie, Luke and I kidnapped you to help save the entire family." Keelin shrugged in acknowledgement, which caused everyone to laugh lightly. "Auria, when I first met you, it was when we were all gathered around to save Kassandra from her hex, the same time I met Marcel, Noah and Caitlin. It just goes to show things like this is always bringing us together. And while Marcel, Noah, Caitlin and Auria are not exactly family by blood or marriage, they are to us in spirit." Everyone smiled in agreement. "Now you're all strong and beautiful and deserve nothing but the best in life."

Riley was remembering something Hayley had once said to him. "Riley, you gave me a beautiful life just when I needed it. When I met you, the darkness turned to light. You helped me more than you can ever know. I realize I'd been holding onto things that I shouldn't." Hope handed Freya and Keelin's rings to them. Rae handed Marcel and Auria's rings to them. Madison handed Noah and Caitlin's rings to them. "If I had met you under different circumstances, not being under the influence of the Hollow and without the legacy of pain that haunted you, things would have been different for us. But none of that was your fault. Even though you were at the darkest part of your life when you met us, you started to be the lightest part of mine, besides Hope. And I know that we became the light of your world, too. I can't honestly say that we can be together forever, since you are a werewolf, and mortal, and we never had the discussion if you ever wanted to turn into a hybrid like me... or if something happened to me... but if by some chance, we do meet again in another life, I'm gonna hold you to that dance." Riley watched as Marcel/Auria, Noah/Caitlin and Freya/Keelin put their rings on each other. "Until then, be happy. And as you grow and find the parts of your life that fit you perfectly, make sure that you never let them go. I love you, Riley Grey."

Riley snapped out of his flashback as he realized that it was time for the three couples to be married.

"Now, by the power vested in me by the Internet 12 years ago to marry some of the most OTPs in this supernatural life, here in this family, here on this day, and in the past, such as Klaus/Kaylin, Nicola/Elijah, Kol and myself, Lindsey/Ryan, Hayley/Riley and Kassandra/Lucien, and 12 years ago in Mystic Falls when we were also trying to take down Rosalita at Stefan, Alex, Liv and Cristian's wedding, also having done Damon/Elena's, and while we're all waiting for the only couple I haven't married yet to be engaged, such as Kacie/Mikayla..." Eliza trailed off. "Just waiting on Mikayla and Kacie's wedding." There was laughter. Mikayla and Kacie nodded sarcastically, smiling. "I now pronounce Marcel/Auria, Noah/Caitlin and Freya/Keelin married. You may kiss the brides."

Marcel and Auria smiled contently in happiness, kissing slowly and passionately.

Noah and Caitlin smiled happily, kissing deeply and passionately.

Freya and Keelin also kissed.

Everyone applauded and cheered, happy for the three newlywed couples.

Hope cast a spell on the flowers. "Tomar lento namaz amor."

The flowers burst into petals that rained down around the three newly married couples, causing everyone to smile and laugh happily.

Night - Wedding Venue

(Song:) Make Mine A Swing Thing - Geoffrey Gascoyne

Marcel/Auria, Noah/Caitlin, Freya/Keelin, Eliza/Kol, Lindsey/Ryan, Kaylin/Klaus, Nicola/Elijah, Kassandra/Lucien, Mikayla/Kacie, Rae/Danny and Tory/Luke were all sharing a dance, sweet and fun.

While Marcel and Auria were dancing, Auria took his hands to pull him closer. Marcel brought her hands to his lips to kiss, placing a hand on either of her cheeks. They smiled, kissing slowly and passionately, dancing.

Noah and Caitlin wee dancing more to an upbeat type of dancing since that was more their style, but the dance was still beautiful and personal and passionate. They smiled, holding each other close, kissing slowly, deeply and passionately.

Freya and Keelin were holding each other, swaying slightly in their dance, sharing a sweet, passionate kiss.

Knowing that Nicola needed cheering up, Elijah took her hand, spinning her around, making her laugh in surprise, as they continued to dance close and contently, looking at each other with happiness. Nicola was finally having a moment where she was happy. They looked at each other for a moment longer before they kissed passionately.

Lucien was taking the lead in his dance with Kassandra, spinning her around, both of them smiling happily as they continued to dance. They smiled, content and happy in the moment they were in, kissing deeply, passionately, with a bit of hunger.

Even though they were both devastated, Klaus and Kaylin were trying to pretend nothing was wrong, as were Kol, Eliza, Lindsey, Ryan, Tory and Luke, meaning they had to dance as well.

Klaus spun Kaylin around as they danced, swaying her around in a dip, making her laugh lightly, pulling her up, holding her close. Kaylin pulled him even closer, wrapping her arms around his neck. They managed small smiles, still sharing a kiss, deep, passionate, but sad.

Kol spun Eliza around in a beautiful dance, resulting in many twirls. Eliza couldn't help a small laugh, looking at Kol, managing a small smile, spinning closer into his arms. They kissed sadly but passionately.

Lindsey and Ryan were dancing close, looking at each other and their kids sadly, devastated at the thought they were dying, but having to act like nothing was wrong so that they didn't ruin the day. They looked at each other desperately. Lindsey leaned closer to kiss him passionately, slowly and sweetly.

Kacie spun Mikayla around, pulling her closer into her arms. Mikayla wrapped her arms around her as they swayed and danced, leaning their heads together, managing small smiles and a sweet, passionate, deep and slightly hungry kiss.

While Tory and Luke were dancing, they smiled, looking at each other, kissing slowly and passionately, deeply and a bit hungry.

Lyla ran up to Tory and Luke, squealing as she jumped into their arms. "Mom! Dad!"

Tory and Luke laughed, catching her. "Lyla!"

Everyone laughed at Lyla being cute.

Riley was dancing around with Hope, Emma and Madison, making them laugh.

"It's good to see you feeling better, Riley," Emma told him.

Riley nodded. "A little bit, yeah."

Hope smiled. "I'm glad."

"Me too," Madison agreed.

Kassandra looked at Lucien while they were dancing. "Did you ever think that we would have a triple wedding after defeating our enemies?"

"No," Lucien answered. "But then it's never really over for us. For any of us."

Kassandra looked at Hope, Rae, Emma, Danny and Madison. "I sincerely hope not."

Elijah handed Nicola a wine glass. "Here you go."

Nicola chuckled. "Oh, thank you. I needed this."

Elijah smiled a bit. "I know you did."

Danny spun Rae around in a dance, pulling her close so that they could embrace. They pulled away, looking dangerously close to kissing again.

Rae took a step back. "You know, I probably wouldn't have gotten through the pain and tragedy of New Orleans if it wasn't for you, Danny."

Danny chuckled. "I know the feeling. We saved each other a lot, Rae."

"Yes, we have," Rae agreed.

Klaus was watching Rae and Danny while dancing with Kaylin. "Kaylin, how is that you, Lindsey, Ryan and I never knew that Rae and Danny were..."

"Falling for best friends are slow and subtle," Kaylin answered. "Me and Cristian were the same way before he compelled me to think of him as nothing more than a friend."

Klaus looked at Kaylin in amusement. "Is that so?"

Kaylin smiled.

Hope was getting more champagne for herself, Emma and Madison. "Here you go."

"Oh, thank you," Emma told her.

Madison smiled. "Thanks."

Klaus, Kaylin, Kol, Eliza, Lindsey and Ryan were watching their kids worriedly.

Lucien misunderstood their worry since he didn't know the teens were dying. "Oh, boy. What are you gonna be like when they go to prom? I assume just as bad as Tory and Luke with Lyla."

Kol rolled his eyes. "Shut up, Lucien."

The fun stopped when Rae, Danny, Emma, Hope and Madison got dizzy, nearly falling.

(Song Ends)

Kassandra, Tory, Luke, Kacie and Mikayla caught the five teens, helping them stand back up. "Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa."

Everyone else walked closer worriedly.

"Are they okay?" Kol asked.

"Are they all right?" Lindsey asked.

"Emma?" Lyla asked. "Danny? Are you, Rae, Madison and Hope okay?"

Emma and Danny knelt next to their little cousin.

"We are fine, Lyla," Emma told her.

"And you know we never lie to little Lyla," Danny told her.

Lyla nodded. "Okay."

"I'm fine," Rae told them.

"I'm okay," Madison agreed.

Danny and Emma nodded. "Yeah."

Lucien chuckled. "Seems like they just had too much champagne."

Hope raised her glass. "Oh, yeah. Speaking of, I would like to make a toast. This has been the best day ever. And you know what? You guys got a thousand years of moments like this one. And being a part of this one really made me feel like I'm part of always and forever, too. So cheers."

Everyone repeated, taking drinks of champagne. "Cheers."

Abattoir Compound - Hope's Room

(Song:) Farewell - Unkle

Klaus and Kaylin went to check on Hope and Rae, who were laying down.

"How are you feeling?" Kaylin asked.

"I think I'm a little buzzed," Rae answered.

"Is the room right side up?" Klaus asked.

Hope smiled. "Yeah, almost."

Klaus chuckled. "Well, I think you better sit up."

Rae and Hope sat up.

"I had so much fun today," Rae told them. "It was just, you know, having our family together and dancing... it was like for five minutes, I forgot how crappy our lives are."

Kaylin managed a small smile. "You certainly looked happy."

"Yeah," Hope agreed. "I'm never gonna forget that I killed Maia. And that Maia tricked Emma and Danny into killing two other people. And I know that every full moon will be a reminder. I'm really scared to turn. I'm--I'm just happy that you'll be there with me. All of you."

They all smiled slightly.

"Anyway, did you come in here to make sure that the room was right side up?" Rae asked. "Or did you want something?"

Klaus chuckled. "No. No."

Kaylin sighed deeply, looking between the three of them. "I have everything I need right here."

Madison's Room

Madison was laying down.

Kol and Eliza came to talk to her. "Madison."

"Hey," Madison told them. "Kol, you were right. About how we all needed this today. And Eliza, you certainly know how to sass up a wedding ceremony."

Kol and Eliza managed small smiles.

"Yes, Eliza certainly does," Kol agreed.

"Did you have fun today?" Eliza asked.

"Yeah," Madison answered. "More than I thought I would. Even with the Hollow inside me, Hope, Emma and Danny, and Rosalita inside Rae, maybe we can find some way to live normal lives."

Kol and Eliza looked pained to hear her say that considering that she was dying, along with Hope, Emma and Danny, but they couldn't tell her.

Kol nodded sadly. "Maybe."

Eliza kissed Madison on the head. "You just get some rest, okay? You deserve it."

Madison smiled slightly. "Okay." Kol and Eliza started to walk away. "Kol? Eliza?" They stopped, turning back. "Thank you. For being my family."

Courtyard

Lindsey, Ryan, Emma and Danny were about to leave.

"They said that we could stay here instead of the hotel, and they said that Aunt Tory, Uncle Luke and Lyla could stay to help with mind controlling the Hollow and Rosalita inside me, Danny, Rae, Madison and Hope," Emma pointed out.

"Yeah, it would be easier to stay like Aunt Tory, Uncle Luke and Lyla, since Aunt Tory, Lyla and Rae are the only ones that can control this even a little bit," Danny pointed out.

"Well, that is certainly true," Lindsey agreed. "We just wanted to see how you were really doing."

"About triggering the curse and the upcoming full moon?" Emma asked.

"Yeah," Ryan answered.

Danny nodded. "We're scared. Emma and I can admit that. And I hate Maia for tricking us into triggering the curses."

"But as long as we have all of you, I think we'll be okay," Emma told them.

Lindsey and Ryan looked pained, not knowing how to tell them either, managing small smiles. "Yeah."

Balcony

Kaylin was leaning against the railing, close to crying, fighting back the tears.

Klaus walked out to join her. "Kaylin. We will find a way to save them. Hope, Rae, Emma, Danny and Madison."

"You and I tried to tell Hope and Rae," Kaylin told him. "Kol and Eliza tried to tell Madison. Lindsey and Ryan tried to tell Emma and Danny. None of us could. But Rae... being Rae... eventually she's gonna hear it in someone's thoughts. They're our kids, all of ours. I can't lose them. Nik..."

Klaus pulled Kaylin into his arms. Kaylin relaxed in his embrace, sighing heavily as she wrapped her arms around him, both of them scared of losing the teens, and willing to do whatever it took to save them.
