chapter 7 - Currents

Outfits in the external link

From 3.06 "Motel California", in Derek's room, Derek turned his head to kiss Jennifer, seemingly void of emotion.

Adriana: (voice over) "Previously on Worlds Colliding (Teen Wolf)"

Derek: (voice over from 3.06 Motel California)"Everyone around me gets hurt."

From 2.08 "Raving", outside the rave building, Stiles and Stacie each had a handful of Mountain Ash, walking toward each other.

Deaton: (voice over from 2.08 Raving)"Mountain Ash is some of what you'll use to create the barrier."

From 3.05 "Frayed", in the warehouse, Adriana pulled Ari to a standing position, but still holding her by her throat, her claws posed at her throat to keep her still.

Adriana: (voice over from 3.06 Motel California)"I wanted to kill you."

Ari stood, pushing Adriana to the floor, putting her clawed hand to her sister's throat.

Adriana: (voice over from 3.06 Motel California)"You want to kill me."

From 3.05 "Frayed", in the backroom of the clinic, Adriana was arguing with Kali and Aiden. "Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't Deucalion tell us all to keep her alive? At least I got under her skin, got inside her head, which is more than I can say for any of you."

In the front, Deucalion was speaking to Adriana. "I told you that she brings out the good in you while you bring out the darkness in her. She might have been able to do what she did, almost killing you, because of you."

From 3.05 "Frayed", in the elevator, Deucalion spoke to Stacie. "The only way to protect one person..."

From 3.05 "Frayed", in the back of the clinic, Deucalion clamped his hand closed around Ennis' head, killing him.

Deucalion: (voice over from 3.05 Frayed) "Is to kill another."

From 2.12 "Master Plan", in the basement of the Argent House, Boyd, Natalie and Erica were strung up from the ceiling by electrical wires, duct tape covering their mouths.

Chris stood in front of them. "A certain level of electric current can keep you from transforming.

From 3.05 "Frayed", in the warehouse, Ennis raised his arm to slash out Tara's throat.

Stacie shot a flash bolt into his shoulder.

The flash bolt exploded, momentarily blinding Ennis.

Kali looked toward Stacie, glaring, growling.

Derek jumped over Tara, slashing toward Ennis.

Ethan: (voice over from 3.06 Motel California) "Derek killed one of ours."

From 3.06 "Motel California", on the bus, Scott, Stiles, Stacie, Ari and Ethan were talking.

"Either he joins our pack," Ethan told them. He looked at Ari. "Or you kill him to become an Alpha." He looked at Stacie. "Or Kali goes after him."

From 3.04 "Unleashed", in the loft, Kali spun around a broken half-pipe, stabbing Derek through his back.

Ethan: (voice over from 3.06 Motel California)"And we kill him."

Day One

Night - Beacon Hills Memorial Hospital - Waiting Room

An EMT rolled a car accident victim toward the waiting room, their hands held over their stomach wound.

Macey stood next to them. "Okay, keep pressure on it. The doctor's on her way. And does anyone know where Dr. Hilyard is?"

The rest of the hospital was jammed, several other patients from a car-pile up waiting to be treated.

Ari walked toward Macey. "Mom, where's the rest of the doctors?"

"Dr. Hilyard is on her way, but, honestly, I won't be able to handle all of these patients on my own," Macey told her. "I'm sorry, Ari, but I have to go."

Macey walked away.

Ari turned after her with a sigh, opening her mouth to speak, no words escaping. She sighed, clearly on edge, something changing about her.

At the doors, Scott walked in with a box of take out.

Melissa turned to face him. "Oh, thank God." She walked toward Scott. "I'm starving." She took the box, turning to the desk, placing it down. "Oh, I'm sorry." She turned to face Scott. "I'm sorry. Thank you for bringing me dinner."

Melissa wrapped her arms around him.

Scott returned the embrace, pulling away. "Is everything okay?"

"Except for half the accident victims in a ten car pile-up being rerouted here from downtown, and the E.R. attending not answering any of his pages, yeah, I'm okay," Melissa answered. "Macey's all on her own for right now, and it's running her ragged. She can't handle all of these on her own, though as much as she's trying. I just wish that the E.R. attending would pick up."

"What does not answering pages mean?" Scott asked.

"It means that nobody can find him, so now we have to wait for the on call to get here," Melissa answered.

A woman walked toward her from behind, holding her arm in pain. "Miss."

Melissa turned toward her. "Yes?"

"Excuse me, can I kind of please have something for the pain?" the woman asked.

"Okay, I'm sorry," Melissa told her. "I know. But, actually, giving you something could complicate things, so we really just need to wait for the doctors." She led the woman to sit down. "Okay?"

"Yeah," the woman answered.

Melissa turned to the woman behind the desk. "Okay. How much longer on Dr. Hilyard?"

"Ten minutes," the woman answered.

Scott sat next the woman in pain. "Uh, you know, I think that I read online that sometimes human contact can help with pain."

The woman nodded, whimpering in pain.

Scott looked around to make sure no one was watching, lying a hand on the woman's, taking her pain, black veins trailing up his arm.

The woman looked at him in relief.

Ari was watching them with an expressionless look, looking down.

Scott looked at her in confusion, standing, walking toward her. "You okay?"

"Why wouldn't I be?" Ari asked, avoiding the question.

Scott hesitated, sighing. "How's your mom doing?"

"Trying to help anyone and everyone at the same time," Ari answered.

"Well, I guess I know where you get it from now," Scott told her. Ari smirked, silently scoffing, looking up. Scott sighed, deciding to be blunt. "You've been changing, Ari. Everyone's noticed it."

Ari nodded, tilting her head. "So have I."

"What's going on?" Scott asked.

Ari barely shook her head. "I don't know."

They heard Ethan's voice. "Someone..." Scott and Ari looked toward the door. Ethan stood there, holding Danny's arm over his shoulder, keeping him standing. Danny was breathing heavily in pain, looking as if he wasn't breathing at all. "Someone help me! Oh, I need help!"

Ari and Scott exchanged a look, looking toward them.

On the Road - Dr. Hilyard's Car

A woman was driving her car, on the phone from the speakers surrounding her. "It's Dr. Hilyard again. Can you let Macey and Melissa know that it may be more than ten minutes? I think there's an accident up ahead."

"Yeah, a ten car pile-up, which is why we need you here," the woman from the front desk at the hospital told her.

"I'm going as fast as I can," Dr. Hilyard told her.

Dr. Hilyard continued to drive down the road.

Beacon Hills Memorial Hospital - Emergency Room

Scott and Ethan lowered Danny into a chair.

Ari and Melissa were standing next to them.

"Okay, gentle, gentle, gentle," Melissa told them.

Danny groaned a scream of pain.

Ari grabbed Ethan by his jacket collar, pulling him closer threateningly. "What did you do to him?"

Scott looked at Ari in cautious surprise.

"Nothing," Ethan told them. Melissa tended to Danny. "He said he was having chest pains and trouble breathing, but it... it just kept getting worse."

"You really expect us to believe that?" Ari asked.

Scott put his hand on Ari's shoulder, pulling her back. "Ari, relax." Ari looked down, taking a deep breath, seemingly pulled out of a trance, normal once again, confused, unable to believe what she had just done. "What's going on with you?"

Ethan looked between them knowingly. "It's not her fault."

Ari looked at Ethan and confusion, calmer than before. "What do you mean, it's not my fault? Do you know about what's happening to me?"

Ethan opened his mouth, but was cut off from speaking.

Melissa saw Macey down the hallway. "Macey, I need some help down here."

Macey walked closer, feeling Danny's throat. "This is not good. How much longer on Dr. Hilyard?" The woman at the front desk shook her head. "His larynx has shifted to the side. I think it's a tension pneumothorax."

Danny vomited up mistletoe onto the floor.

Ethan looked up. "Mistletoe."

Ari and Scott looked toward him, frowning in confusion.

¤•¤°¤•¤

On the Road - Dr. Hilyard's Car

Dr. Hilyard was still driving.

A moth landed on her windshield.

Dr. Hilyard turned on her windshield wipers, wiping the moth away.

More moths filed in through the vents.

Beacon Hills Memorial Hospital - Emergency Room

Danny lied on a gurney.

Macey, Ethan, Scott, Melissa and Ari rolled him into the emergency room.

Melissa looked at the teenagers. "Can you three please go back to the waiting room?"

They finished rolling Danny into an open spot for the hospital bed. Ethan, Scott and Ari stood on one side of Danny. Macey and Melissa stood on the other.

"Where are the nurses and doctors?" Ethan asked. "Where is everyone?"

"It's a full house tonight," Macey told him. "They're tending to other patients."

"Okay, well, Mom, how can we help?" Ari asked.

Ethan looked from Ari to Macey as if he was realizing who Macey was.

"Honey, you can't," Macey told her. "His lung is collapsed. His heart is being pushed against his chest cavity, so..."

Scott looked from Macey to Danny worriedly. "He's gonna die, isn't he?"

Macey shook her head. "No. No, he's not." She looked at Ari. "Ari, you grab the tape." She looked at Scott. "Scott, you hold him still." She looked at Ethan. "You grab those scissors. Melissa, can you look through the drawers and find me a syringe?"

Ari turned toward the counter, grabbing the tape.

Scott held Danny still.

Ethan handed the scissors to Macey.

Macey cut Danny's shirt open.

Melissa opened a drawer, revealing several syringes, pulling out one of them, turning toward the others, handing it to Macey.

Scott held either of Danny's shoulders to keep him still.

Danny gasped in pain and breathlessness.

"Okay," Melissa whispered.

Ari put the tape over the needle of the syringe.

"Mom, he's not breathing," Ari told her worriedly.

"I know," Macey told her. "I know." She looked at Danny. "Okay." She lowered the needle into Danny's shoulder, carefully pulling out the poison.  Danny exhaled, still weak, but able to breathe. "Okay, here we go."

Macey pulled the large needle out carefully.

Ethan, Scott, Ari and Melissa looked at Danny nervously, waiting for the answer.

Danny opened his eyes, looking at Macey. "Thank you."

Macey smiled in relief. "No problem." Ethan sighed in relief. Scott and Ari looked at Macey in admiration. Macey looked between them in confusion. "What?"

"That was awesome," Scott told her.

"It was no problem, you know?" Macey asked. "I mean, it wasn't a big deal."

Melissa exhaled in relief.

Outside

Ari walked toward her bike.

Scott followed her. "Ari--"

"I know, Scott," Ari told him. "I'm changing. Everyone's noticed. No one knows why." She turned to face him. "I don't either."

Ethan walked toward them.

Ari gave him a look, looking away.

Ethan held his hands up in a harmless gesture. "I know you're not gonna believe me, but I didn't do anything."

"All I know is that the minute that you got here, you went right for Danny, and your brother went for Lydia," Scott told him.

"We're not gonna hurt them," Ethan told them.

"Why should we believe you?" Ari asked.

"Because we knew one of them was gonna be important to one of you, or both of you, and now we know that, for both of you, it's Lydia," Ethan answered.

"How about you tell me what you know about what's going on with Ari?" Scott asked.

Ethan opened his mouth to speak.

Ari held up her hand, looking past Ethan in confusion. "Hold that thought."

Scott followed her gaze in confusion.

A car drove into the parking lot, swerving.

Ari put her helmet on the bars, walking around her bike and Ethan, toward the car.

Ethan turned around to follow their gaze in confusion.

The car turned to the other side of the parking lot, crashing into another car.

Ari and Scott ran forward instantly. After a second, Ethan followed them.

Ari stopped next to the car, pulling the door open to reveal no one inside.

"What is it?" Ethan asked.

Scott slowly lifted one of the moths, now dead. Ari and Ethan looked at it in confusion.

¤•¤°¤•¤

Scott looked up. He blinked. When he opened his eyes, they were glowing gold.

Scott levitated above the ground. Tyler Posey.

Allison was facing the side. She pulled up her bow, her face echoing, releasing the bow. Crystal Reed.

Hands reached up from the soil, reaching toward each other

Stiles stood next to his Jeep, walking forward. Dylan O'Brien

Stacie looked up, facing the right, a slow smile spreading across her face, in the track pose, her face echoing. She ran forward. Zoey Deutch

Ari and Adriana stood back to back. Ari looked to the left, holding her motorcycle helmet in her hands, her eyes glowing blue. Adriana looked to the right, tracing her double infinity tattoo on her wrist, her eyes glowing completely red. There was water sprinkles everywhere as they both looked up. Katherine McNamara.

Tara stood with her back toward you, looking over her shoulder, black blood covering her skin, her body reflecting each other. Victoria Justice.

On the back of Tara's hand, a triskele appeared. The spirals were black. The tip of one spiral was Beta blue. The tip of one spiral was Beta gold. The tip of one spiral was Alpha red. The intersection point was purple.

A black wolf howled.

Derek looked up, shirtless, his eyes closed, shifted, roaring, dust falling off of his body. Tyler Hoechlin.

A triskele appeared on Derek's back.

Lydia's hair covered her face, her hands held in front of her. She tossed her head back to get it to fall behind her head. Holland Roden

A double infinity sign tattoo appeared on Adriana's wrist.

Lydia's reflecting heads turned away from each other, screaming.

Two bands appeared over Scott's arm, the top band thicker than the other.

Tara's black blood covered body, her face hidden, reflected itself. She clawed a design into it across her stomach.

Scott stared ahead. His eyes glowed gold. He tilted his head down toward his chest.

Beacon Hills Memorial Hospital - Parking Lot

The police had arrived.

Sheriff was interrogating Macey, Melissa, Scott and Ari. Stacie and Stiles stood next to them. "So what are you saying? Hang on, hang on. They were both in the car?"

"No, Dad, they're trying to tell you that it was two separate kidnappings, okay?" Stiles asked.

Stacie nodded. "Two doctors, both gone."

Sheriff looked at the car that had crashed. "So whose car is this?"

"Dr. Hilyard, the on-call doctor," Macey answered. "The E.R. attending is the one that never made it in."

Sheriff looked at Melissa and Macey. "Let me just focus on getting your story first, okay?"

Melissa nodded. "Yeah."

Sheriff looked at Stiles, Stacie, Scott and Ari. "Guys, give us a second."

Stiles, Stacie, Scott and Ari walked away.

Scott looked at all of them. "These are definitely sacrifices, right?"

"Yeah, it's one Deaton said," Stiles answered. "Healers."

"What about Danny?" Ari asked. "He threw up mistletoe. That's not a coincidence, and if he hadn't been with Ethan, he probably would've died. Danny's not a healer. I..."

Stacie looked behind Scott and Ari.

Sheriff was speaking on his phone.

Stacie nodded to him. "Can you hear that?"

Scott and Ari turned their heads toward them, focusing.

Ari exhaled, looking down.

Scott looked at Stiles and Stacie to explain. "They found a body."

¤•¤°¤•¤

Another Crime Scene

There was a body on the pavement, camera shutters clicking from the sidelines.

Aiden, Deucalion and Adriana stood outside of the caution tape, looking toward the body.

Aiden leaned closer to Deucalion to whisper in his ear.

Chris was a few feet away from them, looking toward them.

Adriana sensed his gaze, turning her head toward him.

Chris looked at her in cautious curiosity.

Adriana didn't react, looking away.

Hale Loft - Living Room

Tara was sleeping in a chair.

The alarm beeped loudly, the red light flashing.

Tara instantly woke, standing.

Derek turned the alarm off. "Tara, it's okay. They're not here."

"Yet," Tara told him.

Derek turned toward her. "Stop worrying, Tara."

"I'll stop worrying when there's no reason to worry," Tara told him.

Derek looked behind her, distracted. "Tara."

Tara turned around in confusion, following his gaze. She looked at the window, sighing.

Cora stood behind her, looking at the window. "What does it mean?"

The Alpha Pack's triskele was painted onto the glass.

Derek walked closer slowly, standing next to them. "It means they're coming."

Tara had a glazed over look in her eyes, worried, but compartmentalizing. "Tonight."

Day Two

Morning - McCall House - Melissa's Room

Melissa was sleeping in her bed. She slowly woke, sitting up, looking toward a corner of her room, gasping.

Isaac, Natalie and Scott were asleep. Natalie was asleep in the chair. Isaac and Scott were asleep on the floor on either side of her.

(Song:) Help Me! - The Sweet Serenades

Melissa sighed. "Really, guys? Guys!" Isaac, Natalie and Scott woke, standing instantly, looking at Melissa. "What do you think you're doing?"

"Uh, we were watching over you," Natalie answered awkwardly.

"We wanted to make sure you weren't the third sacrifice," Scott told her.

Melissa looked to the side in confusion. "But all three of you were asleep."

Natalie and Scott looked at Isaac.

Isaac scratched his head awkwardly.

"You were on watch last," Scott told him.

"What are you talking about?" Isaac asked. "You were on watch last."

"No, you were on watch last," Natalie told him.

Isaac looked at Melissa, nodding. "I might've been on watch last."

"My heroes," Melissa told them sarcastically.  "Wait, didn't you say they were all doctors? I mean, I haven't had an M.D. recently attached at the end of my name, so I think I'm in the clear. I'd be more worried about Macey."

"Yeah, but it could just come under any kind of healer, Mom," Scott told her.

"And, as for Ari's mom, she's watching over her, too," Natalie told her.

"Yeah, well, neither me or Macey are gonna be anyone's human sacrifice today, so all of you get your butts to school," Melissa told them.

Melissa tossed her blanket off of her body.

Beacon Hills High School - Chemistry Class

Jennifer walked to the front of the class.

Ari and Stacie were sitting together in front of Scott and Stiles.

Ari barely glanced at Stacie. "I still say she looks like you, Stacie."

"Would you stop saying that?" Stacie asked.

"Says the girl that compares me to a mermaid and a super agent, Stacie," Ari replied.

"Well..." Stacie trailed off. "Yeah, I don't have anything to say to that."

Jennifer called the class' attention. "Good morning. As you all know, Mr. Harris is still missing... I mean, sick. Anyway, uh, I'm filling in while we all hope and pray for a more qualified substitute to take my place. Okay, so, let's get started, shall we?"

Stiles nudged Scott, looking at Ari and Stacie in front of them. "Hey, my dad said that the E.R. attending wasn't strangled, but did die from asphyxiation. They just don't know how."

"Do you think the on-call doctor could still be alive?" Ari asked.

"I don't know," Stacie told them. "But, guys, there's got to be at least 20 other doctors in that hospital... at least, you know? Any one of them could be next."

Ari turned her head to look at Stacie with an expressionless look. "Including my mother."

Scott's phone vibrated. He turned away to answer. "Hey, doc. Sorry, I'm in class right now. Can I call you back later?"

"Unfortunately, no," Deaton answered. He was in the back of the animal clinic. "I honestly thought I might never have to burden you like this, but I'm afraid, at the moment, you're my only hope." He looked at the moth in his hand. "I'm going to be taken. I need you to find me."

There was a disconnecting beep.

"Doc, doc, doc, doc?" Scott whispered worriedly. "What's happening?"

¤•¤°¤•¤

Beacon Hills Animal Clinic - Backroom

Deaton looked toward the windows.

Thousands of moths crowded over the glass, limiting the light.

Deaton looked at the windows in fear, remaining completely calm as he was left alone in darkness.

Hale Loft - Living Room

The door was slid open. Boyd, Natalie and Isaac walked inside. Boyd and Natalie each had a bag over their shoulders. Derek was sitting on the couch.

Tara was sitting on the spiral staircase, looking at the triskele tattoo on the back of her right hand. "Go back to school."

"Well, actually, we can't, Tara," Natalie told her. "Boyd, Isaac and I are incredibly and unbelievably sick."

"With what, Natalie, brain damage?" Tara asked, looking up.

"Ha, ha, Tara," Natalie told her sarcastically.

Isaac chuckled. "Well, I have a migraine, Natalie's got the flu, and, uh, Boyd here has explosive diarrhea."

Boyd ignored him, looking at Derek. "We're here to protect you."

"You're here to protect me?" Derek asked skeptically, standing.

"Well, you're in trouble, then," Tara told him.

Isaac gestured to Boyd and Natalie. "Actually, my sister Natalie and my sister Natalie's boyfriend here..." Natalie rolled her eyes, dropping her bag to the floor. Isaac held a hand toward them, sitting on the table, an open book in his hand.  "Came up with a plan."

Derek walked closer.

Tara stood, walking down the steps.

Boyd lowered his bag next to Natalie's, kneeling next to them. "Yeah, Natalie and I thought about the time Gerard had us and Erica locked up, tied up with electrical wires pushing current through us."

Tara stood between Derek and Isaac.

Derek looked from Boyd and Natalie to Tara and Isaac.

Tara was curious.

Isaac smirked.

Natalie unzipped her bag, tilting her head, both pulling wires out of their bags. "We were wondering how we could do something like that..." She smiled, looking up. "But on a bigger scale."

¤•¤°¤•¤

Beacon Hills Animal Clinic - Waiting Room

Scott ran to the door, opening, running inside, slowing to a stop.

Sheriff and one of his deputies turned toward him.

"How did you know?" Scott asked.

"Stiles and Stacie called me as soon as you left school," Sheriff answered. "I'm sorry." Scott started to hyperventilate. "Your boss' car is still here." Scott had to sit down. "And the back door was wide open." Sheriff took a step toward him. "Scott... I need you to tell me everything."

Scott looked up worriedly.

¤•¤°¤•¤

Hale Loft - Living Room

Natalie turned on the water from a hose.

Boyd dragged out the hose to the main room.  "In a pool of electrified water, it can take up to 50 milliamps to kill a normal human, less than the power it takes to turn on a light bulb."

Natalie stood next to Boyd.

"That's comforting," Tara told them sarcastically.

"Tara, if we disable the circuit interrupter in the building's electrical room, the current will keep coming, and anyone who steps foot in here..." Boyd trailed off, looking at Natalie, both of them smiling. "They'll get a pretty shocking surprise."

"Especially someone who's barefoot," Natalie told them.

Isaac smirked.

Derek and Tara seemed to approve of the plan.

Water from the hose continued to spread over the floor.

¤•¤°¤•¤

Beacon Hills Animal Clinic - Waiting Room

Stiles, Stacie, Scott and Ari stood together. Stiles had his arms crossed over his chest. Stacie seemed sympathetic. Scott looked forward in numb denial. Ari looked expressionless.

Sheriff walked toward them, putting a hand on Scott's shoulder. "All right, we're gonna do everything we can. Right now, the best thing you can do is go back to school."

Sheriff turned around, walking away.

Scott looked from Stiles and Stacie to Ari, nodding to the dog cages room, leading the way. They followed.

¤•¤°¤•¤

Cages

Ari and Scott stood on one side of a cage. Stiles and Stacie stood on the other, looking at each other through the bars.

Scott looked at Stiles and Stacie. "We have to tell him."

"You mean, like, tell him, tell him, or tell him something else that isn't telling him what I think you want to tell him?" Stacie asked, trying to confuse and distract him.

"You know what he means, Stacie," Ari told her.

Stiles looked from Scott to Ari. "You remember how your mom and Lydia reacted? They didn't look either of you in the eye for, like, a week." He looked at Ari. "Lydia didn't even return any of your phone calls for two."

"And they got over it," Scott told him. "And... and it actually made me and my mom closer."

Ari nodded. "Lydia and me, too."

"I don't know, guys," Stiles told them. "I mean, look at him."

They looked toward Sheriff.

Sheriff put a hand to his head in confusion.

"Come on, he's completely overwhelmed as it is," Stacie told them.

"He's overwhelmed because he has no clue what's happening," Ari told them. "He's got people dying in his town, the town that he's supposed to protect, and it's not his fault that he doesn't know what's happening."

Stacie sighed, looking down.

Neither Stiles or Stacie answered.

"He's gonna find out sooner or later," Scott told them.

"Yeah, but is now really the best time?" Stiles asked.

"What if not telling him now gets someone else killed?" Ari asked.

Stacie looked at Ari. "What if telling him gets him killed, huh?" She looked at Scott. "I mean, okay, look, I get that Deaton's been like a father to you." She looked at Ari. "And one hell of a teacher that's saved your life more than once and that you both care about him and want to save him. I get that, okay? But this is our--" She looked away, looking at Ari, Scott and Stiles. "Guys, this is our actual father."

Stiles shook his head. "I can't... We can't lose both of our parents, all right? Not both of them."

Scott hesitated, nodding. "You're right."

"No, we're not," Stacie told them, whispering, looking down. "We're not right."

"We'll tell him," Stiles told them.

"We'll help you," Ari told them.

Scott turned, leading the way out of the room. Ari looked at Stiles and Stacie, turning around, following Scott.

Stiles and Stacie looked at each other sadly, slowly following them.

They walked out of the door.

¤•¤°¤•¤

Waiting Room

Scott, Ari, Stiles and Stacie slowed to a stop, looking in front of them.

Morrell was standing with Sheriff and his deputy. "Please, whatever you need, however you can help find my brother."

Stacie looked to Scott, Ari and Stiles, mouthing, 'Brother?'

"Will you excuse us for a moment?" Sheriff asked.

Morrell nodded.

Sheriff walked away.

Morrell looked at the teenagers, walking closer. "Okay, listen closely, all of you. No Sheriff, Deputy or Detective is going to be able to find him."

"You don't have to ask us for help," Scott told her.

"Actually, I'm trying to help you, because if you're going to find my brother, then you need to use the one person who might actually have an ability to seek out the supernatural," Morrell told them, looking at Ari, knowing she would get it.

Ari sighed, looking from Scott to Stiles and Stacie. "Lydia."

Beacon Hills High School - Coach's Office

(Song:) Some Like It Hot - Jessie and the Toy Boys

Lydia sat on his desk, kissing Aiden, holding him closely as she deepened the kiss. She pulled away, pulling his shirt over his head, letting it fall to the side.

Aiden tried to kiss her.

Lydia turned his head to the side, kissing his neck.

The fire alarm started to ring.

(Song Ends)

Aiden covered his ears.

Lydia sighed in annoyance.

"Aw, man," Aiden complained. Lydia stood, walking past him, picking up her book, turning around, walking toward the door. "Where are you going?"

Lydia looked at him. "It's a fire alarm."

"When in high school has a fire alarm actually been a real fire?" Aiden asked.

"That's exactly the kind of thing you'd expect two dumbass students to say just before getting burned alive," Lydia told him. "You first." Aiden smiled. Lydia nodded to the door. "Go."

Aiden kissed her cheek.

Lydia pulled her head away.

Aiden pulled his shirt on, opening the door, walking out into the hall, closing it behind him, turning to the right.

Lydia grabbed her bag, pulling it over her shoulder, walking toward the door, opening it.

Cora stood right outside, leaning against the doorway. "You don't have very good taste in guys or listen very well, do you?"

Beacon Hills Memorial Hospital - Hallway

The EMTs pulled a body out of the elevator, walking past Melissa and Macey.

Sheriff walked toward Melissa and Macey. "Hey."

Macey turned, walking with him and Melissa, pointing toward the gurney. "It's Dr. Hilyard, isn't it?"

"Yeah," Sheriff answered.

"Oh, God," Melissa sighed, looking down. "Okay. Did she have ligature marks around her throat?"

"No," Sheriff answered. "How do you know about that?"

"I need you to take a look at the other body with me," Macey told them. "I think I know how they both died. And I think it's gonna help you find Scott's boss."

Beacon Hills High School - Coach's Office

The fire alarm was still ringing.

Lydia looked at Cora, scoffing, trying to walk past her.

Cora stepped in her way.

"Is there a problem?" Lydia asked.

"Yeah," Cora answered. "Derek and Tara would like to kindly ask you to stop seeing Aiden. Which means that if I catch you with him again, I'm not going to pull the fire alarm. I'm going to pull your tongue out of your head."

Lydia smiled in amusement. "Sweetheart..." Cora raised her eyebrows. "My last boyfriend was a homicidal lizard, so I think I can handle a Werewolf." Lydia took a step toward the door. Cora grabbed Lydia's wrist tightly. "Let go." Cora didn't respond. "I said--"

They heard Ari's voice. "Let go." Cora and Lydia turned their heads in the direction her voice came from. Stiles and Stacie stood on either side of Ari. Ari raised her eyebrows toward Cora, her look and voice dangerous. "I said, let go."

Stiles and Stacie looked at her nervously.

Hallway

Scott was walking alone. His phone vibrated. He pulled it out to look at the text from Stacie.

Found her. Ari's getting SCARY worse.

Scott looked up, walking forward, following the distant sound of a cane ticking against tile. He walked around a corner.

Another Hallway

Stiles, Lydia and Stacie walked into the Chemistry room.

Cora and Ari were following them.

Cora grabbed Ari's arm to stop her, turning her to face her.

Ari looked at her hand around her arm with a dangerous, subtle look. "Don't make this a repeat of what happened in Coach's office."

Cora let go, crossing her arms over her chest. "Why aren't you doing anything about her seeing Aiden?"

"It's not like I can stop her," Ari told her.  "I tried."

"Well, reason with her," Cora told her.

Ari scoffed, the idea being enough to nearly make her laugh, bringing a bit of the old Ari back. "Reason? You obviously don't know who Lydia is." Cora looked at her in confusion. "Look, I love Lydia, to death, but even I will tell you you're wasting your breath trying to reason with her."

Ari turned away, walking forward, turning into the Chemistry room.

Cora looked thoughtful and annoyed by this response, following her inside.

(Song:) Intro to Revelations - Of Verona

Stiles, Stacie and Lydia were sitting at the table.

Stacie set a box onto the table in front of them.

Ari walked toward them, sitting next to the left of Lydia, on the end of the table across from Stiles.

Cora sat next to her, on the other side of Lydia, next to Stacie.

Lydia looked at Stacie skeptically. "A ouija board?"

"Also called a spirit board," Stacie told her, starting to get it out. "And it's worth a shot."

"A shot in the dark," Lydia told them.

"Would you just try it, please?" Stacie asked impatiently. "Okay, let's not forget who this is for. Scott's boss. The guy who saved our collective asses on more than one occasion."

"Okay, do we all do this?" Cora asked

"Yeah," Stiles answered.

"You guys ready?" Stacie asked.

"Yeah," Stiles and Ari answered together.

"Yeah," Lydia whispered.

"Yes," Cora answered as loud as Stiles and Ari had.

Each of them put hand on the pointer, forming a pentagram around it.

"Where's Dr. Deaton?" Stacie asked.

Nothing happened.

Everyone looked at Lydia.

Lydia looked around in confusion. "What?"

"Are you gonna answer?" Ari asked.

"Oh, I don't know the answer," Lydia told them. "I thought we were asking some sort of spirit."

"Well, do you know any spirits?" Cora asked.

Lydia pointed at her, then to Ari, Stacie and Stiles, then back to Cora in confusion. "Is she for real?"

Cora groaned in annoyance, rolling her eyes.

Hallway

Scott was still following the sound of the cane clicking against the floor, following it into the music room.

¤•¤°¤•¤

Music Room

Scott walked in.

Deucalion was sitting at the piano, tapping his cane against the wood. "Do you know what a metronome is, Scott? It's a tool to help you maintain a steady rhythm once you've set the tempo. Something tells me the tempo of your life, and your friend's life, has sped up considerably in the last few months. If you'd like, I could help slow it down to a more manageable pace."

"How?" Scott asked.

"By helping you find Deaton and explain what's happening to your friend Arielle," Deucalion answered.

Scott looked at him expectantly.

¤•¤°¤•¤

Chemistry Classroom

Cora, Stacie, Ari, Lydia and Stiles were sitting at the table.

Ari held a pair of keys in front of her toward Lydia. "Okay, these are Deaton's keys for the clinic. Close your eyes. I'm gonna put them in your hand. And we are just gonna try to see if you can feel out for his location. It's called psychometry."

"I'm not psychic," Lydia told her.

"You're something!" Stacie told her. "Okay?"

Cora rolled her eyes, looking at the ceiling.

"Lydia, put out your hand," Ari instructed hastily.

Lydia gave Ari a concerned, confused look, noticing what every one else had noticed, holding out her palm, closing her eyes.

Ari laid the keys on her hand.

Lydia gave a reaction. "Hmm."

"What?" Ari asked.

Lydia opened her eyes. "They're cold."

"Lydia, concentrate, please," Stacie told her in annoyance, on edge herself.  "For the love of God."

Closing her eyes again, Lydia fell silent.

There was a long moment of silence.

Ari looked at Lydia, waiting impatiently.

Stacie and Cora leaned forward, looking at Lydia.

Stiles looked at Lydia expectantly.

Lydia frowned, her eyes still closed.

"What is it?" Stiles asked. "What do you see?"

Lydia opened her eyes, shaking her head. "Nothing."

Stacie and Cora sat straight in disappointment.

Stiles looked away.

Ari exhaled in annoyance and confused desperation.

¤•¤°¤•¤

Music Room

Deucalion stood, looking at Scott. "Your heart's pounding, but it's not fear. It's anger. I bet I know what you're thinking. 'Does he have something to do with Deaton's disappearance or Arielle's explainable transformation?' Tell you what. If you can take the cane away from me, I'll tell you exactly where Deaton is, and exactly what is happening to your friend, and not just her, but Adriana as well. Now, what do you think?"

Scott ran forward, reaching for the cane. Deucalion took it out of his reach. Scott somersaulted over the floor, turning to face him, crouching. Deucalion turned his cane like a baton for an orchestra, trying to hit Scott. Scott flipped backward through the air, onto his back, using his arms and his leg strength to propel himself into a standing position, lunging forward, trying to take the cane. Deucalion effortlessly took it out of his reach, pushing him away. Scott jumped onto the piano, flipping backward through the air, landing in a crouch on the floor, backing away from him. Deucalion swung the cane toward him. Scott ducked, spinning beneath it, jumping onto a cabinet, looking up. Deucalion held the cane in front of Scott, taking the red cap off of the end to reveal the spear hidden beneath, slashing it toward Scott. Scott flipped over Deucalion's head, landing in front of him. Deucalion stabbed Scott in his shoulder.

Scott groaned in pain, lowering to his knees, holding his shoulder as his own blood stained his hand.

Deucalion walked around him. "Impressive, but you know I'm not the one slashing up innocent people, praying to ancient gods or gathering herbs, or whatever the hell druids are supposed to do. And I do have something to do with the changes your friend is going through, and Adriana, but not in the way that you think. I am part of a pack that wants Derek dead, though. Kali is coming for him, so there's a difficult choice you're about to face, because someone is going to die tonight, and whether that's Derek or Deaton, that's up to you."

"Just tell me where Deaton is and what's happening to Ari," Scott told him.

Deucalion smiled, shaking his head, looking down. "I'll give you a very important clue to finding him. Let the current guide you. As for Arielle... the longer she and Adriana are separated, the worse it will become."

Deucalion walked away, leaving.

Scott was left wounded, confused and desperate.

Chemistry Classroom

Stiles held out a pencil to Lydia.

Lydia looked at the pencil in skepticism. "Automatic writing?"

Stiles nodded.

Lydia opened her mouth to argue.

Ari closed her eyes in annoyance and impatience. "Lydia, shut up, and concentrate." Lydia sighed, taking the pencil, drawing on the notebook in front of her. "Lydia, what are you doing?"

"Wha--what the hell is that?" Stacie asked.

"A tree," Lydia answered simply, still drawing.

"A tr--" Stiles cut himself off. Cora closed her eyes. "Lydia, you're supposed to be writing words. Like, in sentences, like something like a location. Something that would tell you where he is."

"Well, maybe you should've said that," Lydia told them innocently.

Ari looked at Cora, talking about their earlier conversation about Lydia in the hall. "You believe me now?"

"Yes," Cora answered. "But isn't she supposed to be some kind of a genius just like you?"

"Genius?" Lydia asked. "Yes. Psychic? No. Honestly, I don't know why you're bothering with me anyway, especially when it's obvious you should be talking to Danny."

"Wait, what?" Stacie asked. "Why Danny?"

They heard Scott's voice. "Because..."  Ari, Cora, Lydia, Stacie and Stiles looked toward him, Cora and Stacie having to look over their shoulders to do so. Scott stood a few feet away from the door, holding his shoulder. "Last night, he was a target. But it wasn't a sacrifice."

Beacon Hills High School - Morgue

Macey pulled out a body from a shelf. Sheriff and Melissa were standing with her.

Macey sighed. "The problem with no ligature marks around the neck is that both doctors were still asphyxiated, so the question is...."

"How did they suffocate if they weren't strangled?" Melissa finished.

"Right," Macey told them, showing them the mangled and bruised wrist of the body. "Now, take a look at the wrist marks. What do they tell you?"

"His hands were tied," Sheriff answered.

"Not just tied," Macey told them. "Look how deep they go. I don't think that's just from struggling to get out. I think he was suspended."

¤•¤°¤•¤

Unknown Location

Deaton's feet were shown dangling above the floor.

Macey: (voice over) "Hanging like that..."

Deaton's wrists were suspended over his head by rope, his hands shaking as he tried to pull himself up.

Macey: (voice over)"They would have to keep lifting their bodies up in order to breathe."

Deaton lowered again involuntarily, his strength giving away.

Macey: (voice over) "Eventually..."

¤•¤°¤•¤

Beacon Hills Memorial Hospital - Morgue

Macey, Sheriff and Melissa stood around the body.

Macey looked sadly at the body in front of them, confused. "They would lose strength, and they wouldn't be able to lift themselves up. It's how people used to die from crucifixion."

"So you think Deaton is somewhere right now, hanging by his wrists?" Melissa asked.

Macey nodded. "Yeah."

¤•¤°¤•¤

Unknown Location

Deaton struggled to pull himself up.

Sheriff: (voice over) "And when he no longer has the strength to pull himself up to catch a breathe..."

Deaton lowered again involuntarily, his strength giving away.

Sheriff: (voice over) "How long before he dies?"

"Minutes," Macey answered.

Beacon Hills High School - Hallway

Scott led the way out of the Chemistry room into the hall, looking at his phone.

Cora, Lydia, Stiles, Stacie and Ari followed him.

"But isn't Danny still in the hospital?" Cora asked.

"Yeah, that's where we're going right now," Stiles answered.

"I'll meet you there," Scott told them.

"Why?" Stiles asked.

Scott held out his phone to show us the text had gotten from Melissa.

I think I found something.

"I got a text from Allison," Stacie told them, turning the phone to them.

I need your help.

"Take my bike," Ari told her

Stacie raised her eyebrows in absolute shock. "You're serious?"

"Yes, Stacie," Ari answered. "Stacie, go."

Argent/Alpha Apartment Building - Hallway

The elevator doors dinged opening, revealing Stacie inside. She walked outside.

Adriana walked toward Stacie, taking her hand, leading her away. "Hey, Stacie. Stacie, you're coming this way."

Adriana opened the door to the Argent apartment, walking in, pulling Stacie with her, closing the door behind them.

¤•¤°¤•¤

Argent Apartment - Foyer

Adriana closed the door.

Stacie turned to face her in confusion. "Ari, what are you..." She saw the double infinity sign tattoo on her wrist, realizing who she really was. "You're not Ari."

Adriana turned to face her. "Not exactly."

Stacie was stunned. "Adriana."

Allison walked toward them. "What's going on?"

"Ask Adriana," Stacie told her.

Allison looked at Adriana in surprise. "Adriana?"

Adriana held a finger to her lips, nodding to the door, opening it only slightly to allow them to hear what was going on out in the hall.

¤•¤°¤•¤

Hallway

The elevator doors dinged open once more, revealing Aiden, Kali and Ethan inside, walking out of it.

Aiden looked around in confusion. "I could've sworn Stacie was down here."

Kali looked around in slight anger and annoyance, impatient. "Doesn't matter. We have the other that he uses as an excuse. Let's go. Adriana's already gone."

They walked into the elevator. The elevator doors closed, allowing them to ride to the bottom.

¤•¤°¤•¤

Argent Apartment - Foyer

Adriana exhaled, closing the door, turning to face Allison and Stacie, looking at Stacie. "You might not know it, Stacie, but I just saved your ass."

"What?" Stacie asked.

"I can't explain right now, because if you haven't noticed, I'm on a bit of a timeline," Adriana told them.

"Why would you save her?" Allison asked.

"And don't ask me why I did it, because don't even know," Adriana told them. "I just... I don't know."

"You're not as evil as the bitch you pretend to be, are you?" Stacie asked sarcastically. Adriana didn't answer, looking at Stacie. Stacie exhaled. "You're not as gone as you lead us to believe. You're still the Adriana that was one of my best friends."

"No, I'm not, I'll tell you that much," Adriana told them. "She's gone for good. But there's still a part. I don't know what I'm doing or why."

"You're changing," Allison realized. "You're changing, just like Ari."

"Only in reverse," Adriana answered. Allison and Stacie looked at her in confusion. Adriana sighed. "Ari's becoming worse, right? Darker, angrier, unpredictable?" Allison and Stacie nodded cautiously. "Well, I'm just the opposite. I'm becoming lighter, better, doing things that I don't even know what I'm doing."

"When did it start?" Allison asked.

Adriana exhaled. "Just after the fight."

"Where you guys somehow caused the floor to fall," Stacie told her.

Adriana nodded, hesitating for a long moment. "I know neither of you have absolutely no reason to trust me, but I need you to keep this a secret."

"From every one?" Allison asked. "From Ari and Lydia--your sister and cousin, our best friends?"

"From Ari, from Lydia, from Scott, from Stiles, from Natalie and Tara, especially from any Alphas," Adriana told them. "I can't have them know about this or me and every one that I care about will die."

Adriana turned toward the door, starting to pull it open.

"Adriana, wait," Allison told her. Stacie looked at her in confusion. Adriana turned her head to look at Allison. "We believe you."

Stacie looked at Adriana, nodding.

"Why?" Adriana asked.

"Because we've seen Ari changing, just like you're changing," Stacie answered. "Do you really have no idea what is going on?"

Adriana sighed, closing the door.

Hale Loft - Living Room

Boyd turned on the light above him.

Water filled the room around them.

Natalie tossed the electrical cords into the water, making them spark.

"Is this gonna kill them?" Isaac asked.

"I hope so," Boyd told them.

Natalie looked away in slight nervousness.

Tara noticed. "Natalie... you're hoping that Adriana won't be with them."

Natalie nodded hesitantly. "Yeah. Yeah, I am, Tara."

"Natalie, what if Tara's right?" Derek asked. "What if Adriana will be with them?"

Natalie didn't answer, sighing.

¤•¤°¤•¤

Argent Apartment - Allison's Room

Allison led the way into her room, with Stacie and Adriana following.

"Adriana, explain," Stacie told her.

Adriana crossed her arms over her chest, sighing. "Deucalion's been giving me warnings about what Ari and I are, but I know that he's not telling me the full story. Apparently, once we've made contact like we did at the abandoned building, everything changed. She becomes darker, I become lighter. Basically, Ari's becoming the darkest parts of me, and I'm becoming the lightest parts of her. Yin and yang, light and darkness... She's obviously the light, and I'm obviously the darkness. Well, there's darkness inside me that makes me..."

"It makes you evil, dark, angry and unpredictable," Stacie realized.

"Yeah," Adriana answered. "And now, when we were fighting, it started to make Ari darker, and me lighter. The darkness is creeping in on her while her lightness is creeping in on me. That's why I could never control myself before, and it's why she can't control herself right now. And it will keep getting worse unless we're together, sharing my power."

"What do you mean, sharing your power?" Allison asked.

"We're what Deucalion calls 'Transferring Alphas'," Adriana explained.

Stacie gestured at nothing impatiently, confused. "What the hell does that mean, Adriana?"

"It means that I can purposely give Ari my Alpha power," Adriana answered. Stacie and Allison looked at her in shocked confusion. "I can either give her all of it, or I can give her a little."

"Adriana, what does that mean?" Allison asked.

"It means, if I give her a little power, she'll be half-Alpha, half-Beta, and so will I," Adriana answered. "But it can only happen once."

"When?" Stacie asked.

"The lunar eclipse," Adriana answered.

"Wait, how do you even 'give power'?" Allison asked.

"The same way that we would take pain, only in reverse," Adriana explained. "I have to give power to her at least once before the eclipse, and on that night, if something happens... which looks very likely... we'll be half breeds. We'll be stronger than any Werewolf, and we'll be even stronger when we're together. That's why Deucalion wants her so badly."

Stacie hesitated. "So, wait, what happens if you don't give her power?"

Adriana looked up. "We'll get even worse. Ari will become uncontrollable, like I am or was. If we're sharing my power, it means that the darkness and the lightness will be balanced between us. Neither of us will have to be pure good or pure evil. We'll be even, in the middle. We'll both be able to control ourselves, and we can both be good." Stacie and Allison were incredibly relieved to hear this. "And if they find out about this, about me becoming better every single day, which is getting harder and harder about keeping secret... they'll kill me." Stacie inhaled, looking desperately confused. Adriana nodded. "That is why you can not tell any one, and I know that you have no reason to do any of what I'm asking, but... Please."

Stacie and Allison looked at each other nervously.

The elevator doors dinged open.

Allison looked toward the door. "He wasn't supposed to be back yet."

"What do we do?" Stacie asked. "Where do we go?"

Office

Chris walked to his desk, looking at the map curiously.

¤•¤°¤•¤

Allison's Room

Adriana, Stacie and Allison were talking.

"Just act naturally," Allison told them. "Stacie and Ari are allowed over."

Adriana held up her wrist to show them the double infinity sign tattoo on her wrist to prove her point. "But Adriana isn't."

"Adri, how good have you gotten to play Ari?" Stacie asked, tilting her head.

Adriana took a breath, looking down. "Oh, yeah."

"Just hide the tattoo," Stacie told her. "And that is a really cool tattoo, by the way."

"Thanks," Adriana told her.

They heard a door close down the hall.

Allison nodded for them to follow her down the hall.

¤•¤°¤•¤

Office

Stacie, Allison and Adriana walked in.

Adriana closed the door.

Allison led the way to the desk. "See this map?" Stacie and Adriana stood next to her. "Last time we were in here talking, my dad put a book over it. There was something about the way he did it. It was like... it was like he was trying to cover it."

Stacie shook her head. "I don't see anything."

Adriana shook her head.

"Yeah, you can't until you use this," Allison told them, showing them a UV ray light, shining it over the map, revealing different marks over the map. "He's been tracking and marking everything. Boyd, Natalie and Cora at the bank." She looked at Adriana. "Adriana, you and the Alphas in the penthouse above us, all of the dead bodies." She shined the light over a circle over the Animal Clinic. "He has a symbol for where someone was taken." She shined the light over the square with an X through the middle in the middle of the woods. "And for where the bodies are found. See? Now here's the scary part. There have been six sacrifices, right?" Stacie and Adriana nodded. "There are 12 markings on the map."

Stacie looked down in surprise. "What? What does that mean? Did your dad find other bodies and not tell anyone?"

Allison shook her head. "I don't think so, Stacie."

Adriana tilted her head knowingly. "I think he knows where the body is going to be found, so one of these six locations, one of these, is where Deaton could end up."

"I mean, it doesn't tell us where he's being kept right now, but..." Allison trailed off.

"But it's close to figuring it out," Stacie finished.

"Yeah," Allison told them.

Stacie looked a picture of the map with her phone.

Allison and Stacie looked at Adriana.

"What?" Adriana asked.

"You don't seem too surprised, so I'm taking that as a sign you know something that we don't," Stacie told her.

"Stacie, ask Ari about telluric currents," Adriana told her. "I don't have time to explain, because if they find out what's happening..."

Allison nodded. "No, we get it."

Adriana shook her head in confusion. "Why are you telling me this if you don't trust me?"

"Call it a leap of faith to see if we can trust you," Allison told her. "I need to know if this is a mistake or not. Don't let us down."

"Right now, I don't think I can," Adriana told them, sniffing, looking down. "But, right now, I have no idea what to do."

"I do," Stacie told her. "You pretend to be on their side, you do everything that they ask if there's no way around it, but you do not let them get to you again. Do you understand that?" Adriana looked at her, unblinking. Stacie shook her head. "I don't care what it is that I have to do, I am bringing you back. For Ari, for Lydia, for Natalie, for me... For you, Adriana."

Allison nodded slowly. "Adriana... Stacie and I'll help you."

Stacie nodded in agreement.

Adriana sighed, nodding, starting to walk toward the door of the office.

They heard the elevator bell dinged.

Adriana stopped walking.

Allison, Stacie and Adriana exchanged a look.

Hallway

Chris walked toward the office, opening the door.

No one was inside.

Chris walked toward Allison's room at the end of the hall, opening the door.

Allison's Room

Allison sat on her bed, books and notebooks scattered around her, taking a Twizzler out of the package, eating.

"Hey," Chris told her. Allison looked up, smiling. In the hall behind Chris, Adriana and Stacie were sneaking past, down the hall. "I, uh, I didn't hear you come in."

"Yeah, I was just doing some homework," Allison told him.

Adriana and Stacie snuck past cleanly.

Chris smiled, turning around, walking out of Allison's room, looking over his shoulder to look at her, closing the door behind him.

Outside - Parking Lot

Stacie and Adriana walked outside.

Stacie turned to Adriana. "You better not be playing us."

Adriana shook her head. "I'm not. Stacie, I swear. I know that's not much to go on, but..."

Stacie exhaled. "I believe you."

Stacie walked toward Ari's bike.

Adriana chuckled in surprise. "Ari actually let you use her bike? In what reality does that happen?"

"I know, right?" Stacie asked.

Adriana and Stacie chuckled together, facing the other, both looking nostalgic.

Adriana backed away. "Stacie, I really have to go before--"

"Before they find out what's happening, yeah, go, Adriana, before I kill you myself," Stacie told her.

Adriana smiled, turning around, starting to run away.

Beacon Hills Memorial Hospital - Danny's Hospital Room

Stiles slowly opened the door, walking in, closing the door behind him, walking around the bed, looking at Danny, his voice a whisper. "Danny, you awake?" He shook his shoulder, getting no response. "Danny?" Stiles lightly slapped Danny's cheek. Danny suddenly inhaled, breathing deeply. Startled, Stiles jumped back in surprise. "Wow."

Stiles groaned, holding a hand toward Danny. He looked down, noticing Danny's black backpack. He knelt next to it, unzipping it, starting to go through it.

"What are you doing?" Danny asked tiredly, weakly.

Stiles looked up.

Danny was still sleeping, barely on the edge of consciousness, just enough to be aware, but not enough to know what was going on.

"I'm not doing anything, Danny," Stiles told him. "This is just a dream that you're having."

Stiles looked to the side, lowering his head to look through Danny's bag.

"Why are you going through my stuff?" Danny asked.

Stiles raised his head to look at Danny. "Right, but only in the dream, remember? Dream. Dreaming."

Stiles lowered his head.

"Why would I dream about you going through my stuff?" Danny asked.

Stiles raised his head to look at Danny in annoyance. "I don't know that, Danny, okay? It's your dream. Take responsibility for it. Just shut up and go back to sleep." He lowered his head to look through Danny's bag, pulling out a report paper for an assignment. "Danny boy, you might've actually found something here."

Argent/Alpha Apartment Building - Outside - Parking Lot

Stacie was sitting on Ari's bike, about to leave, on the phone. "Deaton's got to be at one of the six locations, but they're all over town. I don't know how we can get to all of them fast enough."

Stiles's voice was on the other line."Well, we might not have to." In the parking lot of the hospital, Stiles, Scott and Ari were standing together next to the Jeep and Scott's bike. Stiles' phone was on speaker. "Danny was doing a project on something for Mr. Harris' physics class, and I think it actually means something."

"What project?" Ari asked.

"Something on telluric currents," Stiles told them.

Scott showed an reaction, taking the project, looking it over because Deucalion had told him about them first.

Outside the apartment building, Stacie looked toward the direction Adriana had ran away in recognition, because Adriana had told her about them first. "Did you say currents?"

"Yeah," Stiles answered.

Ari, Scott and Stiles walked forward.

Hale Loft - Living Room

Boyd and Natalie sat together on the ledge above the water, nervous but controlling it.

Isaac sat a few feet away from them.

Tara and Derek were standing a few feet away from each other, looking at the water.

Isaac looked toward the alarm system, which was inactive, no light flashing. "Isn't the light on that supposed to be on?"

"Yeah," Tara answered.

"Tara, what does it mean if it's not?" Natalie asked.

"It means someone cut the auxiliary power, Natalie," Tara answered.

"What about the main--?" Boyd started.

The power turned completely off.

Everyone stood instantly, looking around.

Derek stepped onto the water, walking toward the middle of the loft.

Tara took a step into the water cautiously, and then another. "Derek..." The others slowly started to follow her. "What do we do now?"

Derek turned toward the door, looking up, letting his eyes glow red. "Tara... We fight."

¤•¤°¤•¤

¤•¤°¤•¤

There was banging and clanging on the loft door.

Kali slid it open.

Boyd, Tara, Natalie, Derek and Isaac stood ready for a fight. Tara and Derek stood in front of the other three while they stood a little bit back.

"Gonna be honest, Derek," Kali told him, stepping inside, standing on the right side of the door. Adriana followed her in, standing on the left  side of the door. "When Ennis died, I thought to myself I'd just go for it. Find you and kill you, wherever you stood. Then I remembered how you surround yourself with these teenagers, hiding behind them. And I thought, 'What's a girl gotta do to get you alone?'" Adriana and Kali turned their heads toward each other, looking over their shoulders to look at the door. Ethan and Aiden walked into view, pulling Jennifer with them, restraining her, a clawed hand at their throat. Kali looked forward. "You and me, Derek, or they tear her apart. Adriana here is to make sure this fight between us, to prove to us she's still loyal to us." Natalie looked toward Adriana with a look that was almost hopeful for her once friend. Adriana kept her expression composed and unreadable. "Doesn't matter who Adriana has to fight to keep it between you and me. It doesn't matter if she has to fight Tara, or Natalie, or any of the others. You think you could beat me one on one?" Kali used her thumb to point to the door, taking a step back. "Unless you want me to find the one that you really want for what they did to Ennis."

Derek glared toward her, shifted, nodding to the side.

Boyd, Natalie and Isaac walked away, to the right.

Tara hesitated, looking at the Adriana, Aiden, Jennifer, Ethan and Kali, turning her head to look at Derek, reluctant to leave her brother to fight alone.

Derek looked at her, nodding. "Tara." Tara reluctantly followed Boyd, Natalie and Isaac. Derek turned his head forward, looking at Kali in anger. "I'm gonna rip your throat out. With my teeth."

Kali growled.

Derek roared, jumping into the air, raising his clawed arm above his head, slashing down toward Kali as he fell toward the floor.

Beacon Hills Animal Clinic - Backroom

Stiles, Lydia, Stacie, Cora, Ari and Scott stood around the table, looking frantically but calmly.

"Okay, so what does this kid's homework have to do with finding Deaton?" Cora asked.

"Because it's not just homework, okay?" Ari asked. "It's a project on geomagnetic fields. They flow through the earth. They can even be effected by lunar phases."

"All right, now look at this," Stiles told them, through Danny's packet, handing it to Lydia. "This is a note from Harris on Danny's proposal."

Lydia read aloud. "'I strongly advise you to choose another subject. The idea's here, while innovative and thoughtful, border on pseudo-science, not suitable for class'."

"Harris wasn't just a sacrifice, he knew something," Scott realized.

"And check this out," Stiles told them. "Allison's dad isn't the only one with a map, all right? Danny has one too." As he spoke, he laid out the papers and maps in front of them. "Danny marked on the telluric currents, okay? The weird thing about Beacon Hills is that it is a beacon, and you wouldn't believe how much energy thriving through earth is around this town."

"Stiles, look, they match," Scott told him, putting down the maps.

They looked down at all the exact same places marked on either of the maps.

"All right, there's three places, right?" Ari asked, going to show what she was talking about on the map. "Where they're kidnapped..." She  circled one spot--the hospital and went to the other side. "And the places their bodies were found."

"But that's on a telluric current," Lydia told them.

"So maybe where they're sacrificed is somewhere in between," Ari told them, looking up.

Stiles looked at the pen. "Let me see that." Ari handed it over. Stiles pointed toward Stacie with the pen. "You said there's six more bodies to be found. Deaton's one of them. So that's somewhere in the middle, right?"

"Stop," Cora told him, placing her hand on Stiles', slowly moving it over to between the two circled points--Beacon Hills First National Bank. "He's in the vault. He's in the same vault."

Beacon Hills First National Bank - The Vault

Deaton hung from the ceiling, weakly looking up, even more weakly trying to pull himself up to catch his breath. He slumped down.

Beacon Hills Animal Clinic - Backroom

Everyone was walking toward the door.

Cora looked at her phone.

Stacie noticed, looking toward the others. "Guys, hold on."

Ari turned to her. "Stacie, we don't have time."

"It's Tara," Cora told them, looking at her text. "The plan didn't work." She looked up. "They cut the power."

Scott stood in the doorway, a glazed over look in his eyes, absent minded. "It's just like he said." He looked at the others. "Go. I can save Deaton myself."

"What?" Stiles asked. "What about us?"

"They can't get there fast enough without you," Scott told him.

"Scott, I have my bike," Ari told him.

Scott looked at Cora and Ari. "Go. We can save them both. Take them with you."

Ari nodded.

Scott turned, running out of the clinic.

Ari turned to the others. "All right, let's go."

Outside

Scott started his bike, riding away.

Hale Loft - Living Room

Kali and Derek were fighting in the watery floor. Kali swung an arm toward Derek. Derek ducked, spinning around her. Kali spun to face him again, the water sloshing all over as they did. Derek tried to punch her. Kali spun in the opposite direction.

Jennifer was crying in the twins' arms, trying to struggle her way out.

Kali swung her leg toward Derek's, trying to trip him. Derek jumped, swinging an arm back at her. Kali ducked.

Jennifer screamed.

Kali ran to the pillar, climbing it, spinning to kick at Derek's face, making him fall.

Tara looked restless, wanting to help her brother, but knew she had to stay back.

¤•¤°¤•¤

On the Road

Ari and Cora were riding on Ari's bike, both wearing helmets.

The Jeep followed them close behind.

¤•¤°¤•¤

Stiles' Jeep

Stiles was driving.

Stacie was in the passenger seat.

Lydia was in the backseat.

They were all nervous.

¤•¤°¤•¤

Hale Loft - Living Room

Kali stood on the table, looking up, growling, standing.

Derek ran toward her, slashing toward her. Kali jumped up, trying to stomp on Derek's arms, kicking him away onto the watery floor behind him.

¤•¤°¤•¤

Beacon Hills First National Bank - Vault

Scott ran inside, slowing to a stop in the doorway.

Deaton hung weakly from the ceiling, nearly dead.

Scott ran toward him, trying to help.

An invisible force forced him back onto the floor behind him.

Scott slid away in pain, breathing heavily, looking up.

A circle of Mountain Ash surrounded Deaton, keeping Scott or any supernatural creature out.

Scott looked up in defeat and anger, standing.

Deaton weakly opened his eyes.

Hale Loft - Living Room

Derek pushed up from the water, spinning toward Kali. Kali jumped off the table, landing in front of him, kicking him back, making him spin in the air before landing back in the water.

"Derek!" Jennifer screamed.

Isaac took a step toward Kali and Derek.

Derek looked at them. "No!"

Isaac, Natalie and Boyd looked toward Jennifer, Adriana and the twins.

"Wait!" Tara told them.

Isaac looked over his shoulder to look at Tara, turning forward, running toward Jennifer.

Adriana jumped in his way, letting her eyes glow completely red, her canines grown, roaring, taking Isaac's hoodie, turning around, swinging him toward the others.

Tara growled in anger, running forward, pulling Isaac out of her grasp, throwing him toward Boyd and Natalie.

Adriana climbed the wall, pushing off, spinning through the air, spinning through the air like she was dancing instead of fighting, kicking both feet into Tara's shoulder and head, making her fall into the water, both of them landing in the pool, water already soaking them.

Derek ran toward Kali.

Tara stood, letting her eyes glow blue, glaring at Adriana. Adriana spun, slashing toward her. Tara caught her wrist, pushing it away hard enough she spun through the air before falling to the watery floor.

Tara looked at Adriana in confusion as if she knew that Adriana was holding back.

¤•¤°¤•¤

Beacon Hills First National Bank - The Vault

Scott slowly walked forward.

Deaton was trying to remain awake.

Scott steadied himself against the barrier, pushing, making it glow, yelling and groaning in pain and exertion.

¤•¤°¤•¤

Hale Loft - Living Room

Kali pushed Derek into the water. Derek slashed toward her. Kali caught his arm, pushing it away, slashing toward him. Derek blocked her move, growling. Kali let go, kicking him. Derek pushed her back into the water.

Adriana stood, kicking up into a back flip toward Tara, trying to kick her. Tara backed away just enough to where she missed, water sloshing, splashing around them, drenching them. Adriana landed in a crouch, one arm on the floor, one raised behind her, spinning into a standing position, kicking Tara's chest, making her hit into the wall. Tara braced herself, her back against the wall to keep herself standing. Adriana slashed toward her. Tara caught her arm, spinning her toward the wall, using her other arm to punch toward her. Adriana moved her head to the right just enough to where Tara's fist broke through the wall, breaking the concrete.

Tara pulled out her fist, breathing heavily, looking from her bleeding fist to Adriana, her voice a harsh whisper. "If you're trying to convince them you're still theirs, you might want to put in a little more effort than that, Adriana."

"Thanks for the input, Tara," Adriana told her sarcastically just as quietly.

Derek and Kali's growls our roars were so loud that it covered their conversation without fear of being overheard.

Kali kicked Derek back into the water.

Beacon Hills First National Bank - The Vault

Scott was still trying to push his way through, groaning, yelling.

Deaton slowly opened his eyes weakly.

Scott looked up, his eyes glowing gold.

Deaton watched him in weak curiousness.

The golden glow in Scott's eyes turned red.

Deaton smiled weakly as if to think, I knew it.

The force of the Mountain Ash was enough to make Scott fly back, landing on the floor.

The glow of the barrier faded to darkness.

Scott turned his body to face Deaton in defeat.

They heard Sheriff's voice. "Scott!" Scott turned his head toward the voice. Sheriff stood in the doorway, aiming his gun toward the rope binding Deaton. "Let me give it a shot."

Sheriff fired.

The rope tore.

Deaton fell toward the floor.

Sheriff immediately walked forward.

Loft Building - Electrical Room

Ari opened the door, running inside, standing to the far right. Lydia followed her, shining the light onto the controls. Cora, Stiles and Stacie stood to the left of Lydia.

"Okay, what do we do?" Stacie asked.

"We pull them," Ari answered.

"Pull all of them," Cora agreed.

Cora, Stiles, Stacie and Lydia pulled each and every switch on the wall.

Ari turned away, pulling out her phone, texting someone.

¤•¤°¤•¤

Hale Loft - Living Room

Kali pulled Derek to his feet from behind.

Isaac watched them, his phone vibrating. He took it out to look at the text from Ari.

NOW

Isaac, Boyd and Natalie ran forward.

Isaac ran toward the Twins and Jennifer.

Natalie tried to pull Adriana away from Tara.

Boyd pulled Tara away from Adriana.

¤•¤°¤•¤

Electrical Room

Cora, Stiles, Stacie and Lydia finished pulling the switches.

The lights turned on.

¤•¤°¤•¤

Hale Loft - Living Room

The water was filled with blue electricity crackling around Kali, Derek, Boyd, Tara, Natalie and Adriana.

Isaac pulled Jennifer away from the Twins, holding her for comfort and protection, looking toward the others in worry for his pack and sister.

Boyd fell to the floor. Bright electricity surrounded him.

Tara, Natalie and Adriana lowered to their knees. Bright electricity surrounded them, electrocuting them, making them fall to their stomachs.

Kali and Derek lowered to their knees. Bright electricity surrounded them, making them fall to their backs.

Isaac looked on worriedly.

Kali stood, turning toward the Twins, pointing at Derek. "Take him!"

Aiden and Ethan ran forward.

Tara pushed Adriana off of her, standing, running forward, kicking Aiden's stomach. Ethan stood behind her as he grabbed either of her arms, pulling them behind her back. Aiden grabbed her legs. They threw her toward Adriana.

Adriana ducked. Tara soared over her head, landing behind her in the water.

Adriana looked over her shoulder to look at Tara.

Aiden and Ethan turned forward, grabbing either of Derek's arms to restrain him to his knees on the watery floor.

Kali turned to Natalie, taking her by her shoulders, pulling her toward them. Natalie struggled as she did.

Boyd looked up from the floor, weak but determined. "Natalie!"

Boyd pushed himself off the floor, running forward, pulling Natalie out of Kali's grasp, pushing her away to save her.

Natalie slid over the watery floor toward Adriana and Tara.

Tara looked up, breathing heavily, the burns on her face starting to heal.

Kali took Boyd instead, turning him toward Derek.

Ethan and Aiden pulled Derek's arms in front of him, his claws extended.

Derek struggled uselessly.

Natalie looked up, knowing what they were going to do, trying to push herself up. "Boyd!"

Adriana restrained Natalie from behind, looking guilty, closing her eyes, letting a tear fall, whispering into Natalie's ear so she would be the only one to hear. "Natalie. Cinte."

Natalie showed recognition and confusion at the seemingly useless word.

Kali raised Boyd above the floor, lowering him onto Derek's claws, making him impale Boyd's stomach fatally.

"No!" Natalie screamed in utter despair, denial, pain and sadness, tears streaming down her cheeks, struggling.

Adriana closed her eyes, lowering her head in guilt that she hid.

Isaac flinched at the sound of pain in his younger sister's voice, turning his head toward them with pain in his own eyes.

Tara stood in absolute shock, frozen, her mouth slightly open in horror that she did her best to conceal.

Derek looked at Boyd sadly, still shifted, breathing heavily, the glow in his red eyes intensifying.

Boyd groaned in pain, looking at the ceiling.

Ethan and Aiden let go of Derek, backing away.

Adriana slowly let go of Natalie, standing, backing away.

Kali lowered Boyd in front of Derek, turning away, walking toward the door.  "I'm giving you to the next full moon, Derek." The twins followed her. "Make the smart choice. Join the pack..." Kali barely gave Natalie a glance, turning toward Derek, looking over every single one of them. "Or next time I'm killing all of you."

Kali turned around, walking past Jennifer and Isaac, leaving the loft. The twins followed her.

Natalie looked over her shoulder to look at Adriana with confusion and betrayal, sadness and despair.

Adriana fought to keep control over her expression, a glazed over look in her eyes, turning around, walking past Jennifer and Isaac, leaving the loft.

Natalie looked forward, standing, running toward Boyd and Derek, sliding to a stop in front of them, her voice a broken whisper. "Boyd."

Derek held Boyd's wounds.

Natalie held his arm.

Tara lowered to her knees on the other side of the boys, across from Natalie, looking at her sadly.

"It's okay, Natalie," Boyd told her.

"How is it okay?" Natalie cried, still whispering.

"No, no," Derek told them. "No, it's not."

"Natalie, it's all okay," Boyd told her.

Tara shook her head, but didn't say anything.

Derek looked between Natalie and Boyd with a heart-broken expression. "I'm--I'm sorry."

"Natalie..." Boyd trailed off weakly. "Nattie, I love you." Natalie closed her eyes in pain, shaking her head, tears streaming down her face at a quicker rate, trying her best to remain quiet, her shoulders shaking slightly. "The full moon. That feeling... that was worth it. There's a lunar eclipse. Remember... we always wondered... what that felt like for one of us. For one of us..."

Natalie nodded, trying to pull herself together one last time for Boyd's sake. "I remember."

Flashback

Night - Beacon Hills First National Bank - The Vault

Erica sat alone on the floor. "Natalie, what do you think will happen to us on the lunar eclipse?" She looked forward. "They last for hours, you know, because it's just the earth's shadow. I wonder what will happen to us. Maybe it'll make us stronger." She turned her head toward the door. "I hope it'll make us stronger."

Kali stood in the doorway to the vault, looking over her shoulder to look at Erica.

Erica slowly stood from the floor, let her eyes glow gold, growling, running forward.

Now

Night - Hale Loft - Living Room

Boyd fell into Natalie's arms.

Natalie held him, cradling him in her arms. She kissed the top of his head.

Boyd looked to Natalie above him, his voice weak as a whisper, barely audible. "I love you, Natalie."

Natalie nodded quickly, sadly. "I love you."

Flashback

Night - Beacon Hills First National Bank - The Vault

Erica fell, reaching her hand forward. "Boyd. Natalie."

The light slowly drained from Erica's eyes, leaving nothing but lifelessness.

Now

Night - Hale Loft - Living Room

Natalie kissed Boyd's head once more, crying. "I love you."

Boyd smiled a small, weak smile at hearing the words, his eyes finally closing.

Boyd exhaled for the last time. He was gone.

Natalie closed her eyes in absolute pain, sobbing.

Derek watched her reaction, only making it worse for himself.

Isaac let go of Jennifer, running forward, lowering to his knees next to Natalie, putting an arm around her, holding her as she held Boyd.

Cora, Stiles, Stacie and Ari ran inside. They slowed to a stop when they realized what happened.

Cora, Stacie and Ari walked forward.

Cora slowly circled around them, standing next to Tara. She slowly knelt next to her, wrapping an arm over her shoulders, deeply sad herself.

Stacie stood behind Derek.

Ari stood next to Natalie and Isaac.

Lydia and Stiles walked into the doorway, slowing to a stop next to Jennifer.

Stacie looked at the utterly broken expression on Derek's face, lying a hand on his shoulder.

Derek looked at Boyd's blood on his hands, looking as if he was about to cry himself.

At the door, Lydia took a step back in surprise. Stiles couldn't believe this was happening.

Jennifer sat there, showing no emotion at all.

Ari seemed normal, kneeling next to Natalie, holding her head close to her own.

Natalie was still crying.

Every one showed their own reactions to Boyd's death.

Every one said good bye in a different way.

Elderly Home - Gerard's Room

Chris stood in front Gerard angrily. "If you know something about him and you're reluctant to tell me, try remembering it's a long list of favors and penance before you're redeemed in my eyes." Gerard used a tissue to wipe the blood away. There was a mirror behind him. "You're gonna tell me the story, and you're gonna tell me the truth."

Chris turned around, walking away, leaving the room, closing the door behind him.

Gerard used the tissue to wipe away the black blood.

In the mirror behind him, the reflection showed the door opening once again, Allison revealed to be the one outside. "Surprised to see me?"

Gerard smirked. "Only surprised that its taken you this long."

Beacon Hills First National Bank - The Vault

Deaton leaned against the barred wall, breathing heavily in pain, trying to catch his breath.

Scott and Sheriff knelt in front of him.

Scott smiled in relief.

Sheriff's mouth was open slightly in confusion and relief.

Deaton looked between them weakly, relieved.

Scott turned his head to look at Sheriff. "How'd you find us?"

"The vials in the clinic with the Celtic symbols on them?" Sheriff asked. "I knew that one of them looked familiar."

Sheriff pointed to the symbol painted onto the floor of the vault.

"Sheriff, thank you for being one hell of a detective," Deaton told him.

"You bet," Sheriff told him. "Let's get you an ambulance."

Sheriff stood, turning around, walking away.

Deaton watched him go, waiting for him to be far enough away, pulling Scott closer. "Your eyes were red." Scott looked at him in confusion and disbelief. "Bright red."

"How is that possible?" Scott asked.

"Paramedics are on their way," Sheriff called from the doorway. "I'll be back in half a minute."

Sheriff walked out of the vault, leaving.

Deaton looked at Scott. "It's rare. It's something that doesn't happen within 100 years, but every once in a while, a Beta can become an Alpha without having to steal or take that power. They call it a True Alpha. It's one who rises purely on the strength of the character, by virtue, by sheer force of will."

Scott looked at him in confused realization. "You knew this would happen."

"I believed," Deaton answered. "From the moment I knew you were bitten, I believed. And if you're the True Alpha, I believe I know what is happening to Arielle and her sister Adriana."

Scott looked at him expectantly. "You do?'

Deaton nodded. "What's happening between the two of them could actually save Adriana. We have a chance to save her, Scott."

Scott looked confused but incredibly relieved.
