chapter 20 - Echo House

Outfits in the external link

From 3.18 "Riddled", in the coyote den, Stacie was tied up. Stiles was trapped with the steel jaw trap on his ankle. Or so they believed.

Tara: (voice over) "Previously on Worlds Colliding (Teen Wolf)"

The corpse woman and the mummified man stood with Stacie and Stiles.

From 3.18 "Riddled", in the MRI room, Stiles, Stacie, Scott and Ari were talking.

"It's called frontotemporal dementia," Stiles told them. "Areas of your brain start to shrink."

"That's what our mother had," Stacie told them.

From 3.13 "Anchors", outside the clinic, Sheriff explained to Scott, Ari, Stiles and Stacie. "Eight years ago, almost an entire family died in a car accident."

From 3.14 "More Bad Than Good", at the ravine, Adriana roared.

Coyote!Malia's eyes glowed blue.

Sheriff: (voice over from 3.13 Anchors) "A young girl named Malia was never found."

Malia looked around the woods.

From 3.19 "Letharia Vulpina", in the study of the Argent Apartment, Chris and Derek turned to see Raphael and two officers walk in.

Chris: (voice over from 3.17 Silverfinger) "They called him Silverfinger because of an unusual prosthetic."

Raphael had Katashi's prosthetic finger in an evidence bag.

"Where did you get that?" Chris asked.

"Off Katashi's dead body," Raphael answered.

From 3.19 "Letharia Vulpina", outside the clinic, an Oni appeared in front of Scott, driving a sword into his stomach.

Tara stopped fighting, looking at Scott. She was in actual pain and denial. "No!"

Tara ran closer to kick the Oni away from Scott. An Oni appeared behind her. Tara spun to face him, slashing into him. The Oni behind Tara ran his sword through her back, making it pierce through her stomach. The Oni in front of her ran his sword through her stomach, making it pierce through her back.

From 3.19 "Letharia Vulpina", in the clinic, Void!Stiles and Void!Stacie were terrorizing Scott, Ari and Tara.

Deaton: (voice over from 3.19 Letharia Vulpina) "There's two foxes hiding inside teenage fraternal twins."

Void!Stacie leaned forward against the table, bracing herself. She smiled maliciously, evilly. "Come on! Do it!"

Void!Stiles drove the swords deeper into Scott and Ari's stomachs, causing all three of them pain, but Void!Stacie was relishing the feeling, breathing heavily, smiling, laughing psychotically.

Deaton: (voice over from 3.19 Letharia Vulpina) "And I'm going to poison them."

Deaton injected one syringe of Wolf Lichen into Void!Stiles neck, poisoning the Nogitsune inside, making him gasp in pain and fall unconscious.

Tara took advantage of the distraction to pull the sword out of her stomach, turning to slash it into Void!Stacie's arm, making her groan in pain, gripping her by her shoulder, slamming her head against the table, turning to restrain her from behind as much as she could.

Deaton injected the Wolf Lichen into Void!Stacie, making her gasp in pain and fall unconscious next to Void!Stiles.

Day One

Night - On the Road - Sheriff's Car

Sheriff was driving.

Stiles was in the passenger seat.

Stacie was in the backseat.

They looked at each other sadly.

  ¤°¤•¤°¤

Eichen House - Outside

Sheriff's car pulled up.

Stiles, Stacie and Sheriff got out of the car.

They heard Scott's dirt bike and Ari's motorcycle pull up and park, turning around.

Scott and Ari walked closer.

"Why didn't you tell us?" Scott asked.

"Because we wanted to avoid something like this," Sheriff answered.

"It's only 72 hours," Stiles told them.

"This is the same place where Barrow come from," Ari told them. "The guy who had a tumor inside of him filled with flies." She looked at Sheriff. "You don't know everything yet."

"I know enough," Sheriff told them. "Nogitsunes, Kitsunes, Oni or whatever they're called."

"No, that's actually all surprisingly correct," Stacie told him, impressed with her father.

"Scott, Ari, I saw two MRIs that looked exactly like my wife's," Sheriff told them. "And it terrifies me. I'm headed down to LA tomorrow to talk to a specialist."

"Then why are you putting them in here?" Scott asked.

"He's not," Stiles answered. They looked at him. "It was our decision."

"We can't help you if you're in here," Ari told them.

"And we can't hurt you," Stacie told them.

"Deaton's got some ideas, Argent's calling people," Ari told them.

"We're gonna find something," Scott told them.

Sheriff looked at Stiles and Stacie. "Come on."

They walked in.

Scott and Ari were left outside of the front gate, listening to the sound of soft, echoing whispers.

  ¤°¤•¤°¤

Inside - Reception Area

Stiles, Sheriff and Stacie walked inside.

Everyone in the reception area was in dark clothing and depressed.

A nurse walked closer. "Stilinskis. This way please."

The family of three followed the nurse out of the reception area.

    ¤°¤•¤°¤

Office

The four of them were sitting at a table.

The nurse was explaining the rules. "First 72 hours, there's no phone calls, no emails, no visitors." Sheriff was signing paperwork. "We will be taking you from here to a brief physical. In the morning, you'll be assessed by a staff psychologist, speak to a social worker, and attend group therapy."

Sheriff became more and more agitated, nervous and against this idea. "I feel like we're forgetting something."

The nurse put two pairs of slippers on the desk in front of Stacie and Stiles. "You will be wearing these. No laces allowed. You don't have belts, do you?"

"No," Stiles answered.

The nurse placed out a box. "And please empty your pockets in here."

Sheriff could hear a door from the hallway opening and closing, and it made him even more on edge, looking at Stacie and Stiles. "Your pillows, your pillows. We forgot your pillows."

Stacie and Stiles were taking off their shoes to put on their slippers.

"Dad, it's okay," Stiles told him.

Sheriff shook his head. "You're never going to be able to fall asleep. We... we got to go back. We--we gotta go back."

"It's fine, Dad," Stacie told him. "We don't need them."

Sheriff was stammering, just trying to find a reason to convince his children not to do this. "I can't believe I forgot them. I mean, every time that we've ever stayed in a hotel, the first thing you both pack is your pillows."

"You can bring them tomorrow," Stiles told him. "It's all right."

Stiles and Stacie emptied their pockets into the box.

Sheriff could still hear the door buzzing and opening and closing, even more on edge. "Okay, you know what?" He stood. "Stop. Stop. Enough. Stiles, Stacie, get your stuff. I'm not checking you in here if you're not gonna get one good night's sleep."

Stacie sighed, standing. "Dad. We haven't had a good night's sleep in weeks."

Sheriff and Stacie embraced tightly for a moment, pulling away.

Sheriff and Stiles embraced. They pulled away.

The nurse led Stacie and Stiles out of the room, though they looked back at their father nervously.

Sheriff was left alone in the office, watching them go helplessly.

Stairwell

The nurse led Stiles and Stacie upstairs.

Stiles looked down the hallway, seeing someone that he recognized.

"Stiles, this way, please," the nurse told him.

The girl Stiles had been looking at walked back into her room.

The nurse led Stiles and Stacie upstairs.

On one of the landings above, a man was knotting a sheet into a noose, talking to himself, quoting a riddle. "I'm the part of the bird that's not in the sky. I can swim in the ocean yet still remain dry."

Stacie looked up at the man. "Do you see that?"

The man continued to tie the noose. "I'm the part of the bird that's not in the sky. I can swim in the ocean yet still remain dry. What am I?"

Stacie walked quickly up the stairs to try to stop the man.

"Stacie, wait for me," the nurse told her.

"That guy up there," Stacie told them.

The man continued to tie the noose. "I'm the part of the bird that's not in the sky. I can swim in the ocean yet still remain dry."

"Hey, hey, stop him!" Stacie called frantically. The man stepped up onto the railing. "Stop! Somebody stop him!"

The man looped the noose around his neck, leaping from the landing to hang himself, snapping his neck.

The nurse gasped.

A crowd of onlookers gathered in the stairwell below, gasping in horror and shock.

Stiles and Stacie looked down to the onlookers, seeing the mummified man and the corpse woman in the crowd, but no one else could see them.

¤•¤°¤•¤

Scott looked up. He blinked. When he opened his eyes, they were glowing red.

Scott levitated above the ground. Tyler Posey.

Allison was facing the side. She pulled up her bow, her face echoing, releasing the bow. Crystal Reed.

Hands reached up from the soil, reaching toward each other

Stiles stood next to his Jeep, walking forward. Dylan O'Brien

Stacie looked up, facing the right, a slow smile spreading across her face, in the track pose, her face echoing. She ran forward. Zoey Deutch

Ari and Adriana stood back to back. Ari looked to the left, holding her motorcycle helmet in her hands, the irises of her eyes glowing blue. Adriana looked to the right, tracing her double infinity tattoo on her wrist, her eyes glowing completely purple. There was water sprinkles everywhere as they both looked up. Katherine McNamara.

Tara stood with her back toward you, looking over her shoulder, black blood covering her skin, her body reflecting each other. Victoria Justice.

On the back of Tara's hand, a triskele appeared. The spirals were black. The tip of one spiral was Beta blue. The tip of one spiral was Beta gold. The tip of one spiral was Alpha red. The intersection point was purple.

A black wolf howled.

Derek looked up, shirtless, his eyes closed, shifted, roaring, dust falling off of his body. Tyler Hoechlin.

A triskele appeared on Derek's back.

Lydia's hair covered her face, her hands held in front of her. She tossed her head back to get it to fall behind her head. Holland Roden

A double infinity sign tattoo appeared on Adriana's wrist.

Lydia's reflecting heads turned away from each other, screaming.

Two bands appeared over Scott's arm, the top band thicker than the other.

An Oni's mask was covered in blood.

Tara's black blood covered body, her face hidden, reflected itself. She clawed a design into it across her stomach.

Scott stared ahead. His eyes glowed red. He tilted his head down toward his chest.

Beacon Hills Animal Clinic - Backroom

Deaton, Scott, Ari, Allison, Adriana and Natalie were standing around the table in the room, on the phone.

Chris' voice was on the other line. "Did you have any trouble with Ikeda?"

"Only minor," Deaton answered. Chris was in the Sheriff's Station, using his one phone call, handcuffed. "The white wolf was exactly where you said it would be. But we have two problems now. First, the Lichen is not a cure. It'll wear off in a matter of days."

"But while it does work, the Oni won't go after Stiles and Stacie, right?" Chris asked.

Derek was in the backroom of the station, in a cell, listening to the call.

"I hope," Deaton told them. "Eichen House has an unusual history. It might not be that safe for the Oni there as well."

"What's the second problem?" Chris asked.

"I checked with your contacts in Japan," Deaton told him. "The Yakuza boss you saw killed by the Oni never found the scroll."

"What scroll?" Adriana asked.

"A Shugendo scroll," Deaton answered. "The Shugendo were the aesthetic mystics of Japan, Adriana."

"The scroll had information on how to exorcise a Nogitsune," Chris told them.

"So we need to find that scroll?" Adriana asked.

"Exactly, Adriana," Deaton answered. "And I did get a name of the couple who last purchased it. Kincaid and Maria."

Natalie sighed knowingly.

"You know who they are, Natalie?" Allison asked.

"Yeah," Natalie answered.

"Who were they, Natalie?" Adriana asked. "Natalie?"

Natalie sighed. "Adriana, they were with Katashi. They're the couple that met with me and Isaac to buy the gun. The Werewolves that tried to kill us."

"Sounds like Katashi wanted the scroll for himself," Deaton mused.

"But Stilinski already told me nothing like it was found among his things," Chris told them. "And a paranoid like Katashi would keep it close. Probably on him at all times."

Ari knew of one thing that Katashi always had on him at all times, thinking fast. "What's the Shugendo scroll look like?"

Deaton pushed his chair away from the desk, standing, turning to face a drawer, pulling out a scroll, holding it out to Ari. "Something like this."

Ari took the scroll in her hand, looking up at Deaton. "These come in different sizes, right?"

"Yes, Ari," Deaton answered. "Any size."

"Ari?" Adriana asked. "Ari, what is it?"

Ari nodded. "I think I know where it might be."

They looked at her in surprise.

Adriana sighed. "Of course you do, Ari."

Ari gave her a look. "Adriana."

"Ari, what?" Adriana asked.

"Shut up, Adriana," Ari told her.

Adriana smirked sarcastically. "Sorry, Ari."

Eichen House - Hallway

The nurse led Stacie and Stiles through the hallway toward their rooms.

"Okay, I know there's the whole 72-hour thing, but I really need to use the phone," Stacie told her.

"The accident that occurred is being taken care of," the nurse told them.

"You're seriously referring to that as an accident?" Stiles asked incredulously.

"Incident," the nurse told them.

"Slightly better," Stacie told her. "Still need to use the phone. Just five minutes." The nurse opened the door to Stacie's room, pulling her inside. "Three minutes, please. A three-minute call."

The nurse closed Stacie's room's door, locking it, leading Stiles to his room, opening it. "Would you like to go to sleep, or would you like to be introduced to our five-point restraint system?"

A guy was laying on his bed, strapped down. "I would go with sleep."

The nurse closed the door.

  ¤•¤°¤•¤

Stiles and Oliver's Room

Stiles tried to open the door, but it was locked. "Hey, wait, wait, wait."

Stiles sighed in defeat.

"I'm Oliver," the guy told him.

"Stiles," Stiles told him.

"There was a suicide, huh?" Oliver asked.

"Yeah," Stiles answered.

"Is it Monday?" Oliver asked. "There's a much higher rate of suicide on Mondays."

"Okay, then," Stiles told him awkwardly, turning to the door. "Um, hey, can someone... someone just please let me out of here? Someone? Anyone?"

"I heard it, by the way," Oliver told him. "It happened in the stairwell, right?"

"Yeah," Stiles answered. "How'd you know that?"

"I heard the echo," Oliver answered.

Stiles sat down on his bed. "What do you mean?"

"It's this place," Oliver told him. "Something about the way that it was built. Everything echoes. Eventually. That's why they call it Echo House."

Day Two

Morning - Eichen House - Stiles and Oliver's Room

Oliver was sleeping, still strapped to his bed.

Stiles was sitting on his bed where he had been all night, looking out of the window, watching the sun rise.

Oliver slowly woke up, turning his head to look at Stiles. "Have you been awake all night?"

"Yeah," Stiles answered. "I can't sleep without my pillow." Oliver started to cough. "You okay?"

"I swallowed a bug the other day," Oliver told him. "You ever do that? I keep coughing. Like it's still in my throat."

"That's disgusting, Oliver," Stiles told him. "You don't have any idea when they unlock the doors, do you?"

They heard the door unlocking.

Oliver looked at Stiles. "Now."

  ¤•¤°¤•¤

Courtyard

Stiles and Oliver were walking together.

Stiles was in sweats like everybody else.

"Most of the people here are okay," Oliver told him. "The violent ones are in the closed unit. That's Hillary. She has OCD. That's Gary. He thinks he's Jesus Christ. Dan, also Jesus. That's Mary."

"Mary Magdalene?" Stiles asked.

"No, she also thinks she's Jesus," Oliver answered. "You'd be surprised how many Jesuses we get."

"Not really," Stiles told him.

Stacie was sitting on a bench by the wall, also in sweats and slippers. She saw them walking closer, standing. "Hey."

Stiles looked at her in relief. "Oh, my God, Stacie."

"I keep trying to use the phone, but it's not working," Stacie told him.

"How come you want to use the phone already?" Oliver asked.

"'Cause after one night, I've changed my mind about this place being safe for me or my brother," Stacie answered. "Ever."

They looked toward where a girl was on the phone.

The girl was speaking quietly. "No. No, I think you're wrong. I really think I should tell them. They're going to want to know the story. The whole story. I really think they should know. Yes, I do. They're standing right behind me."

Stiles and Stacie looked at her in confusion, somehow knowing that she was talking about them.

The girl hung up the phone, walking away.

Stiles looked at Oliver. "Who was that?"

"That's Meredith," Oliver answered. "She's a little weird."

"You're a little weird," Stiles told him. "She's a lot weird."

Stacie checked the phone. "It's still dead."

"Yeah, they turn off all the phones for 24 hours after a suicide," Oliver told them.

'"Why didn't you tell us that before?" Stiles asked.

"Why didn't you ask?" Oliver replied.

Stiles looked behind Stacie toward the girl from the night before. "Is that Malia?"

Stiles walked toward Malia.

Stacie turned to face him. "No, wait."

Stiles walked up to her. "Malia?" Malia turned to face him. "Hey, it's Stiles. Do you remember me? I'm Stacie's brother. Remember, we were the ones who helped you out--"

Malia punched Stiles in the face, making him fall.

Stacie knelt next to Stiles. "Told you not to do it."

An orderly named Brunski ran closer, grabbing Malia, pulling her away. "Hey, Malia!"

Two more orderlies grabbed Stacie and Stiles, restraining them against the ground.

"What the hell?" Stiles asked. "She hit me!"

"One more like this, Malia, and you're headed to the closed unit," Brunski told her, pulling her away.

Stacie looked at the two orderlies restraining her and Stiles. "Wait, wait, wait, stop. We didn't do anything. Stop!"

Stacie looked down through the holes in the ground to see a basement underneath, recognizing the sight of the cellar from when she and Stiles had been in the coyote den but they thought they had been in the basement.

Morrell walked closer. "Enough! Enough." The orderlies let Stacie and Stiles go. Stiles and Morrell knelt next to Stacie. Stacie was still reeling. "Stacie, you saw something, didn't you?"

Stacie nodded. "The basement. We've been down there before."

Stiles was confused.

Stacie and Stiles looked through the hole in the ground to look down into the basement.

Stiles realized why and how.

  ¤•¤°¤•¤

Basement

The symbol for self, the backwards five, was still on the wall of the basement.

Sheriff's Station - Cells

Chris and Derek were sitting in two cells, backs to each other.

Derek was listening to the sounds of the station.

"Still nothing?" Chris asked. "Derek?"

"Hold on," Derek told him.

Chris sighed.

Derek continued to listen.

  ¤•¤°¤•¤

Main Room

Jordan was sitting at his desk.

Angel walked up to him. "Hey."

"Hey, Angel," Jordan told her. "Angel, what are you doing?"

Angel looked around. "Just looking around. Where's the Sheriff?"

"Stilinski's out for the day, Angel," Jordan answered. Angel looked at the deputies all moving boxes of evidence. She looked at Jordan in confusion, so he explained. "The Katashi murder is now a Federal Investigation. Everything here that wasn't blown up is going to be placed in lockup, Angel."

Angel nodded in understanding.

  ¤•¤°¤•¤

Cellblock

Chris and Derek were still sitting in their cells with their backs to each other.

"You were right," Derek told him. "Angel's uncle just told Angel that they're moving all the evidence."

"Are Angel or Angel's uncle saying anything about the murder itself?" Chris asked. "Any other details?"

"Angel's uncle is telling Angel something about putting Katashi's things in a federal lockup, and something about Stilinski being out for the day," Derek answered.

"You know, if all of this is true, people are dead because of Stacie and Stiles," Chris told him.

"But it's not really Stacie and Stiles," Derek told him. "Remember, we've had this problem before."

"But we got lucky with Jackson," Chris told him. "What happens when you don't get lucky? It all depends on how much or how little of Stacie and Stiles are left. You ever heard of the Berserkers?"

Derek nodded. "Germanic warriors. They wore the skins of bears to channel their ferocity."

"They didn't just wear them," Chris told him. "They became them. You know, a couple of years ago, a family came to us for help with their son. This group of teenagers, they were doing all sorts of rituals with animal skins. Somehow they tapped into it. But with Berserkers, the human side doesn't last long. They're not tempered by the moon."

"He killed people?" Derek asked.

"He tore them apart," Chris answered. "Eventually, I had to tell the family their son was gone. It took three of us to take him down. Almost every bullet we had. And when it was over, I felt no remorse. None. I knew that kid was long gone."

"Angel's already learned from Angel's mother's writing that you can't kill Stacie, the anchor, without killing Stiles, Scott, Allison and Ari," Derek told him. "But would you feel any remorse putting Stiles down?"

"Stiles?" Chris asked. "Yes. But not a Nogitsune. Katashi warned me to let the Oni destroy their targets. Even if it was my own daughter."

"So if it came down to it, would you let them kill Stacie even if it meant that it would kill the four others?" Derek asked.

Chris didn't answer, looking down sadly, not knowing the answer.

  ¤•¤°¤•¤

Eichen House - Group Therapy

Stacie, Stiles, Oliver and Malia were sitting in a circle of group therapy.

Morrell was leading them. "I want to go back to the topic of guilt today. It might surprise you to hear me say that guilt is a good thing. It's a rather... mature emotion. Malia, you said something about guilt the other day. You said it came with a visceral reaction."

"I said it made me feel sick to my stomach," Malia told them.

Oliver coughed.

"Guilt often becomes physical," Morrell told them. "You feel it in your gut. It's not just psychological."

Stiles looked over his shoulder to see the mummified man dressed as a doctor. He looked away, breathing slightly heavily.

Stacie looked at Stiles in concern, mouthing her words. 'Are you okay?'

Stiles nodded unconvincingly.

Morrell noticed that they weren't paying attention. "How does guilt make you feel, Stacie?"

Stacie looked at her. "I'm sorry, what?"

"Guilt," Morrell told her. "What does it make you feel?"

"Nervous," Stacie answered.

"Like a sense of urgency?" Morrell asked. Stacie nodded. "Do you feel the same, Stiles?"

"Yeah," Stiles answered.

"You feel an urgent need to make up for something you've done," Morrell told them. Stacie looked away in guilt, noticing that a hallucination of the corpse woman was standing by the pillar next to her. "To apologize." Stiles looked at his hand on his lap, noticing that his hallucination showed that it was wrapped in the same gauze of the mummified man. "These are healthy responses." Stacie and Stiles closed their eyes. When they opened them, their hallucinations were gone. "Does anyone know what we call someone who doesn't experience guilt?"

Oliver raised his hand. "Sociopath."

"That's right, Oliver," Morrell told him. Stiles and Stacie both had dark colored marks on their skin around their necks. They looked like dark colored lightning bolts or strikes. Morrell saw them. "I'm sorry, everyone, but we need to take a break." She stood. "Stiles, Stacie, come with me. I'd like to talk to you both for a minute."

  ¤•¤°¤•¤

Morrell's Office

Morrell was looking at the marks on Stiles and Stacie's skin. "They're called Lichtenburg figures. They appear on lightning strike victims. The fact that their appearing on you after a shot of Wolf Lichen is significant and strange."

Morrell turned away.

"By significant and strange, do you mean hopeful and optimistic?" Stacie asked.

"When the marks fade, the Nogitsunes grip over the two of you will return," Morrell told them, pulling out two bottles of medicine, walking toward them to hand them each one.

"What are these?" Stiles asked. "Sleeping pills?"

"Amphetamines," Morrell answered. "Sleeping is exactly what you don't want to do. You're vulnerable when you're asleep."

"So, all we have to do is stay awake?" Stiles asked.

"For now," Morrell told them. "If your friends haven't figured out something by the time those marks fade, I'll come find you."

"To tell us what to do?" Stiles asked.

"No, to give you an injection," Morrell answered, holding up a bottle. "Pancuronium Bromide. It causes respiratory paralysis."

"That sounds a lot like death," Stacie told her.

"It's used for lethal injection, yes," Morrell told them.

"So when the Nogitsunes take over, you're gonna kill us?" Stiles asked.

"I'm gonna do what I've always done," Morrell told them. "Maintain the balance."

"Okay, then," Stacie told her. "Missed our talks."

Stacie took Stiles by the hand, leading him toward the door.

Stiles looked at Morrell. "Thanks for the illicit drugs."

"Stay awake," Morrell told them.

Stacie and Stiles walked out, leaving.

¤°¤•¤°¤

Hallway

Stacie and Stiles were walking alone toward the basement door, looking around to make sure no one was watching.

Stacie put her ear against the door to listen to the other side, but she didn't hear anything.

Stiles tried to open the door, but it was locked.

Oliver walked closer. "What are you doing?" Stacie and Stiles jumped at the sound of his voice, turning to face him, giving him a look. "Sorry."

"We need to get through here," Stiles told him. "To the basement."

"Doctors don't even have a key to this door," Oliver told them. "Only Brunski."

"Is that the head orderly?" Stacie asked.

Oliver nodded. "He's got keys to everything in here."

"Does he keep them on him all the time?" Stiles asked.

"Yeah," Oliver answered. "If you want them, you'll probably have to figure out a way to trick him."

"Well, part of me is getting very good at playing tricks," Stacie told them bitterly, walking away.

Stiles followed her.

 Oliver was confused, following them.

Argent Apartment - Living Room

Natalie, Allison, Ari, Adriana, Lydia and Angel were talking.

Scott, Tara, Ethan and Aiden walked in.

"Angel, what do you got?" Ari asked.

"My uncle Jordan said that all the Katashi evidence is being moved to federal lockup by armored car tonight," Angel told them. "Probably within the next few hours."

"Adriana, we're gonna rob an armored car?" Ethan asked.

"Well..." Adriana trailed off. "We're gonna try."

Eichen House - Boys' Bathroom

(Song:) No One's Here to Sleep - Naughty Boy feat. Bastille

Stiles walked in to get water to take the pills from Morrell. "Okay. Okay, just got to stay awake, Stiles. You just gotta stay..."

Stiles saw in the reflection that Malia was taking a shower behind him. He was in shock.

"Don't worry, Stiles," Malia told him. "You didn't just accidentally walk into the girls' room."

"Thank God," Stiles told her, clearing his throat. "Um... okay, so what are you dong in the boys' room?"

"Showering," Malia answered.

"I can see that," Stiles told her. "I mean, I saw that. Well, actually, I didn't see anything, really. I just... there was too much steam to, uh... not that I would prefer there to be less steam."

"Stiles, I don't care," Malia told him. "In the woods, there was no boys' and girls' room. And if you really need to know, they keep the water temperature in the girls' room too low. It's much hotter in here. Ever since I turned back to human, I just can't seem to get warm."

"Maybe you just have a low core temp," Stiles told her. "You know, you might just be sick, or..."

"I used to have a fur coat," Malia told him.

"Or, it could be... hey, it might be that," Stiles told her. "It's probably that."

Malia turned the water off, wrapping a towel around herself, walking toward Stiles. "Now you're staring."

"No, I'm not," Stiles told her.

"Then what are you doing?" Malia asked.

"Uh, I was kind of wondering why you punched me," Stiles told her.

"Did you think I was going to thank you?" Malia asked.

Stiles sighed. "No. Maybe. We did kind of save your life."

"You're right, Stiles," Malia told him. "Thank you. Thanks for invading my home. For putting me on the run. For turning me back to human so that I could look at my father every day and try to figure out how to explain to him that the reason my sister and mother are dead is because I almost ate them on a full moon. Thank you so very much. If it makes you feel any better, when Stacie walked into the room that we now share, I punched her in the face, too."

"We were just trying to help," Stiles told her.

"You want to help me?" Malia asked. "Find a way to change me back."

Stiles looked at her in surprise and confusion. "You want to go back? To being a coyote?"

(Song Ends)

Malia nodded.

Stiles was thinking.

"What do you know?" Malia asked.

"I might know somebody who could teach you how to change," Stiles told her.

"Okay," Malia told him. "What do you want?"

"Stacie and I need to get into the basement," Stiles told her. "Which means that we need to get the keys off of that orderly, the big one."

Malia knew who he was talking about, nodding. "Brunski."

"You help me, and I'll help you," Stiles told her.

Malia nodded in agreement.

Argent Apartment - Study

Scott, Allison, Ari, Lydia, Tara, Natalie, Adriana, Angel, Ethan and Aiden were meeting up.

"This is a really bad plan," Scott told them.

"It's not that bad," Lydia told them innocently.

"It's not that good," Tara told them.

Ari sighed. "None of us knows the route they're going to take. If Allison can get one of her dad's GPS trackers on the armored car, then we can follow it."

"Ari's right," Natalie told them.

"Ari's always right," Adriana told them.

Tara nodded in agreement. "Ari's always right."

Allison pointed at the mark on the map. "So when it gets here--"

"We attack them," Aiden told them.

"No," Angel answered. "The driver's gonna be my uncle Jordan. I can get there and distract him and lure him away from the armored truck. But he's not gonna be the only one in that truck. The others will get out to help, so--"

"We attack them," Aiden repeated.

Lydia, Allison, Ari, Natalie and Adriana all said at the same time, "No," while Tara leaned against the desk and said, "No, you idiot."

"You'll distract him," Ari told him. "And then Adriana and I will break open the back doors. Isn't that right, Adriana?"

Adriana nodded. "Right, Ari. As usual, Ari's always right."

Lydia looked at Ethan. "And you'll get Katashi's finger."

"It's not his actual finger, is it?" Ethan asked.

Scott looked at them, waiting for an answer too.

Adriana put a hand to her head. "You are so out of our league."

"Why aren't we just going to Stilinski for help?" Ethan asked.

"Because if he gets caught, then it's the sheriff tampering with federal evidence," Tara answered.

Adriana looked at Scott. "And your dad's been trying to get him fired, and that would only make it all the more easier."

Scott gave her a look.

Ari sighed. "Shut up, Adriana."

"Just stating the facts, Ari," Adriana replied.

"Adriana, come on," Natalie told her. "Just please stop, Adriana."

"What, Natalie?" Adriana asked. "Natalie got something to say, too?"

"Guys, this is going to work," Allison told them. "We can do this. We're losing Stiles and Stacie." She looked at Tara. "My dad and your brother are in jail for murder, Tara."

Natalie looked down, shaking her head. "What happened to Isaac and the other people who got hurt..."

Adriana sighed. "I'm sorry, Natalie."

Ari looked up. "Natalie's right. We can't let that happen again. We need to do this."

Eichen House - Courtyard

Stiles and Stacie were standing outside in the crowd.

Oliver tackled Malia to the ground. "You're lying! You're a liar! You're lying!"

Brunski and other orderlies ran closer.

Stiles and Stacie stepped closer.

"Get this nut job off of me," Malia told them.

The orderlies started to pull Oliver off.

"No!" Oliver told them. "She said that they'd drill holes into my head." Brunski and the other guards started to pull Oliver away. Stacie slipped the keys off of Brunski's belt sneakily, holding them behind her back. Stiles knelt next to Malia. "She said they'd drill a hole in my head!" Stiles helped Malia stand. Stacie watched the orderlies take Oliver away. "Please, come on. Please don't. Please don't drill a hole in my head."

Stiles looked at Malia. "You okay?"

"Yeah," Malia answered.

Stacie showed them the keys.

Sheriff's Station - Interrogation Room

Chris was led into the room. He looked at the person there. "They told me my lawyer was here. So either I'm going to congratulate you on recently passing the bar, or I should be worried about something."

Araya was sitting at the table, smirking. "Hello, Christoph."

  ¤•¤°¤•¤

Eichen House - Hallway

Stiles and Stacie walked down the hallway toward the basement door, trying to get it open, trying every key Brunski's keys had.

Stiles sighed. "Come on. Come on."

"I thought this guy had a key to everything," Stacie told him.

Brunski and two orderlies walked closer.

"I do," Brunski told them, taking his keys from Stacie. "But nobody has the key to that room."

Brunski and the two orderlies took Stacie and Stiles away.

  ¤•¤°¤•¤

Quiet Room

Brunski and the two orderlies dragged Stiles and Stacie inside.

"Into the quiet room, my friends," Brunski told them. The two orderlies held Stiles and Stacie next to two separate beds with straps. Brunski had their pills from Morrell. "You wanna tell us where you got these?"

"A vending machine," Stacie told him.

Brunski smirked bitterly, taking out two syringes. "I always love the sarcastic ones. Give them five of the Haldol."

The orderlies were restraining Stiles and Stacie.

"Wait," Stiles told them. "What's that? Is that a sedative? Okay, hang on. Hang on. We can't go to sleep."

Brunski walked closer.

Stacie struggled desperately, worriedly. "Okay, I'm sorry. We're sorry. Look..." The orderlies injected Stiles and Stacie with the sedatives. "We can't go to sleep. You don't understand." Stiles and Stacie were both being effected by the sedative already, breathing heavily. "You don't get it. We gotta stay awake... I gotta..." They were breathing deeply in an attempt to not go to sleep. "We have to stay awake."

The orderlies put Stiles and Stacie on the two beds, strapping them down, walking out, leaving.

Stiles and Stacie fell asleep.

Hale Loft - Living Room

(Song:) The Fire - Former Vandal

Tara was about to leave the loft, opening the door, surprised to see Scott standing outside. "Hey, Scott. I was just about to leave to meet up with you."

Scott stepped inside. "Tara, is it true?"

Tara looked down, knowing exactly what he was asking, but she pretended like she didn't. "Is what true?"

"About you leaving, Tara," Scott answered.

Tara sighed, turning away. "Derek told you."

"Yeah, Tara, he told me," Scott answered. "So is it true?" Tara didn't answer, sighing. "Tara?" Tara didn't turn to face him. "Is this about what happened the other night, during or after the fight?"

Tara nodded, turning to face him finally. "The Oni, trying to save Stiles and Stacie, them nearly killing us... It's because you got distracted with my safety, my life, and I got distracted with yours." She slowly shook her head. "That can't happen again. We can't be distracted with each other and expect no one to get hurt or killed."

"Tara, what are you saying?" Scott asked, walking closer. "You can't leave, Tara."

"Yes, I can," Tara told him. "I'm leaving, Scott. After Derek's out, and Stiles is Stiles, and Stacie is Stacie... After all of this is settled and over... I'm leaving."

There was a long moment of silence.

"Where are you going to go?" Scott asked sadly.

Tara sighed. "Back with Cora, maybe. I've been to South America once, and that was to take her back."

"Yeah, and Derek said when you went down there, you all were caught and tortured," Scott told her. "I guess being electrified wasn't the worst birthday present if you wanna go back." Tara looked away, irritated with the fact that Derek kept talking to Scott behind her back. "You can't go back, Tara. What if they catch you again?"

Tara looked at him. "What else am I supposed to do?"

"Stay," Scott answered. "Fight. Even after all of this is settled and over."

"We almost got killed the other night, Scott," Tara told him. "What part of that don't you understand?"

"Yeah, we almost get killed a lot, Tara,-" Scott told her. "It's never seemed to bother you as much as it does know." Tara didn't answer. "So is that the real reason you're leaving? To protect me? Or to run away again?" Tara didn't answer, looking down. "I thought so." Scott stepped closer, taking Tara by the hands. "Just stay, please. We need help. We can't do this without you."

"'We'?" Tara repeated, looking up. "Or you?"

"Both," Scott answered without hesitation.

"The next time this happens, it could get you killed," Tara told him.

"Or it could get you hurt," Scott told her.

"I don't get hurt," Tara told him. "At least not in the way you're thinking of."

"No, you just pretend you don't get hurt," Scott told her. "Just like you pretend you're never afraid." Tara looked up at him, frowning slightly in confusion. "That's what's the real problem of this is, isn't it, Tara? You're afraid that if you let someone in, everything you've done, everything you did to build this wall around you to keep them out, just... crumbles." Tara didn't answer, looking down when she realized that he was right. Scott stepped closer, still holding her hands. "I won't let you get hurt, Tara."

"That's the problem," Tara told him.

"You don't have to be scared," Scott told her. "If something happens, we'll deal. We always do." Scott and Tara looked at each other for a moment, both confused by how they felt, but willing to define it. Tara closed her eyes, sighing. Scott leaned closer to kiss her softly, lightly, without pushing too far. Tara was surprised but didn't reject it. Scott pulled away, looking at Tara. "I get it if you need to leave, Tara. But don't do it just because of me."

Scott nodded to himself and to her, turning around, slowly walking out.

Tara watched him go, confused as to where this left her, because every part of her was used to being alone and cold inside, and she didn't know if she could be anything else even if she wanted to.

Angel/Jordan's House - Foyer

(Song:) Hustler - Conway

Angel walked toward the door, about to leave.

Kira walked in.

"What are you doing here, Kira?" Angel asked.

"I want to help, Angel," Kira answered.

Angel closed the door behind her, turning to face her. "I'm not sure that's such a good idea."

Kira put some distance between them. "Because of my mother?"

"No," Angel answered. "I know that's not your fault."

Kira turned to face her. "Yeah, but it still feels like it is. And if I can help, shouldn't I? I mean, you're helping, Angel."

"All I'm doing is distracting my uncle," Angel told her. "I don't know how to do much of anything else, because that flip at the hospital just sort of happened on its own."

"Okay, but I've been practicing," Kira told her.

"Practicing what?" Angel asked.

"I've been picking this up really fast," Kira told her. "Like, crazy fast."

Kira drew her sword, nearly hitting Angel.

Angel backed away enough to make her miss, surprised. "You sure about that?"

"Sorry, Angel," Kira told her. "Watch."

Kira spun the sword around almost expertly, spinning around to swipe it through the air. She paused for a moment, holding the sword up in one hand and her other held toward Angel. She continued to spin the sword around, ending the showcase of moves by lowering the sword to her side.

Angel was clearly impressed, nodding. "Okay. You're coming."

Kira smiled.

Stiles' Dream

Eichen House - Locker Room

Stiles was trapped in a locker, trying to get out. "Hey. Hey! Hey, let me out. Let me out! Let me out!"

The mummified monster Nogitsune was pacing, dragging his hand along the lockers. "Let me in."

"What?" Stiles asked. "What do you mean?"

"You know," the mummified man told him.

"Okay, screw you and your stupid riddles," Stiles told him.

The mummified man banged against the lockers. "No riddle this time, Stiles. You know what it means."

"Let me out," Stiles told him. "Just let me out. Let me out. Just let me out!"

"Let me in!" the mummified man told him.

Stiles jumped.

Reality

Eichen House - Quiet Room

Stacie was still sleeping, screaming in her sleep because of her own nightmare.

Stiles was woken up by the noise, realizing that he was no longer strapped to the bed he was on because the straps had been cut. He looked up at Malia to see that she had her claws out, revealing that she had cut them free. He stood, running toward Stacie, shaking her to wake her, comforting her. "No, no, no. Stacie. Shh, Stacie." Stacie looked at him, tears in her eyes, trying not to cry. "It's okay. It's okay."

Stacie took a deep, shaky breath, trying to calm down. "I saw her, Stiles."

Stiles nodded understandingly. "I know. I saw him, too." He looked at Malia. "How did you get in here?"

"I broke the lock," Malia answered. "If I concentrate, I can be pretty strong. Get up. There's another way to the basement. Through the closed unit. Where they keep the real psychos."

Malia walked out, leaving.

Stacie and Stiles exchanged a look, standing, following her.

Street

Angel, Allison and Scott were in hiding, watching as the armored truck was about to leave.

Jordan walked out of the building.

Allison looked at Angel. "You're up."

Angel nodded, standing, jogging toward Jordan. "Hey, JP."

"Hey, Angel," Jordan told her in confusion. "What are you doing here, Angel?"

"Uh, Stiles and Stacie called Scott and Ari from Eichen House, and Scott and Ari asked me to ask you if Sheriff was back in town yet," Angel told him.

"No, Angel, he's not," Jordan answered.

Angel turned her back to the armored truck, slipping on a tracking device onto it behind her back so that Jordan wouldn't notice. "Okay. Well, can we go inside and leave a message for him or something? I can't go in there without your help to leave a message for the Sheriff."

"Yeah, sure, Angel," Jordan answered. "Let's go inside."

Angel nodded.

Jordan and Angel walked inside.

The driver got out of the armored truck.

Natalie walked up to where Allison and Scott were in hiding, kneeling next to them. "All right, Angel's job is done. Angel's leaving the rest to us."

Allison and Scott were watching in confusion.

"Why is he getting out?" Allison asked.

The driver turned toward the back of the truck, drawing his gun.

Scott focused his hearing. "There's someone inside."

"What?" Allison asked.

Kincaid and Maria threw the doors to the truck open.

Kincaid jumped out, grabbing the driver by his head, slamming it against the truck, making him fall unconscious.

Maria jumped out, holding Katashi's finger.

Maria and Kincaid looked at each other, smirking in victory, kissing.

"Natalie, what is it?" Allison asked.

"Natalie, who the hell are they?" Scott asked.

"Kincaid and Maria," Natalie answered, getting ready for a fight, sighing.

Scott and Allison looked at her in confusion. "Natalie?"

Sheriff's Station - Interrogation Room

Chris and Araya sat across from each other at the table.

"You want to talk about the code?" Chris asked.

"Ours is more than a code of behavior," Araya told him. "It's a code of honor. These things bind our families. You don't abandon such things lightly."

"Where in the code does it say my wife had to kill herself?" Chris asked.

"Your wife honored us with her dying breath," Araya told him.

"She would have honored her daughter by living," Chris told her.

"Your family is very complicated, though," Araya told him. "Isn't it?"

"What do you really want to know?" Chris asked. "Is this about Allison? What are you fishing for?"

"I don't fish, mijo," Araya told him. "I hunt."

Night - Street

Allison, Scott and Natalie walked up to Kincaid and Maria.

"We need that finger," Natalie told them.

Kincaid and Maria turned to face them.

Allison aimed her bow and arrow at them.

"Why should we give it to you?" Maria asked.

"There's a briefcase in there with $150,000 in it," Allison answered.

Maria held the silver finger up.

Kincaid pointed to the finger. "The scroll inside that prosthetic finger is worth 3,000,000."

"Give me the finger," Scott told them. Maria raised her eyebrows. "You know what I mean."

Kira leaped down from the top of the armored car, landing on Maria's back. (Slow motion)

Maria leaned forward, flipping Kira off of her and to the ground. "I guess negotiations are over."

Kincaid and Maria shifted, letting their eyes glow blue, growling.

Eichen House - Hallway

Malia, Stiles and Stacie walked up to the basement door.

Malia broke the lock off.

Stacie stopped outside of the door. "You go. I'll be lookout."

"But you hate being lookout," Stiles told her.

"Yeah, but I hate basements more than I hate being lookout," Stacie pointed out. "Go."

Stiles and Malia walked inside.

"She's not scared of Werewolves, but she's scared of basements?" Malia asked.

"It kind of has something to do with almost being buried alive in a root cellar and the last time we'd seen this place," Stiles explained.

"Oh," Malia told him.

"Hello, I can still hear you two," Stacie told them.

"Sorry," Stiles told her.

Stacie closed the door.

Basement

Malia and Stiles walked downstairs.

"Do you know what you're looking for?" Malia asked.

Stiles pointed at the symbol for self on the wall. "Something to do with that."

Malia and Stiles walked toward the symbol.

Malia knelt next to it, tracing it with her fingers. "What does it mean?"

"Self," Stiles answered.

"Maybe you should tell me more," Malia told him.

Stiles shook his head. "You might not like me if you know anymore."

Malia stood. "Try to remember that I'm a Werecoyote who murdered her own family. I won't judge. I promise."

Stiles barely managed to chuckle.

Street

Scott, Kira, Natalie and Allison were fighting Kincaid and Maria.

Maria had been shot with an arrow, pulling it out. Kira tried to punch Maria. Maria caught her arm, gripping her throat, growling, pushing her into a wall, making her fall. She turned to Allison, backhand punching her in the face, making her fall into a wall.

Scott shifted, standing, punching Kincaid in the face twice, punching him in the stomach, trying to punch him again. Kincaid caught that arm. Scott tried to punch him with the other arm. Kincaid caught that arm, headbutting his head against Scott's face, making him back away.

Natalie punched Maria in the face, trying to punch her again. Maria ducked, punching her in the stomach, making her double over, kicking her in the back, making her fall to the ground.

Kincaid looked at Scott. "You have the eyes of an Alpha. But where's the strength?"

Tara was standing up on the armored car. "Behind you."

Scott looked up at Tara in surprise.

Maria and Kincaid turned to face Tara.

Tara let her eye glow blue and her canines and claws grow, growling at them. She jumped toward Kincaid, grabbing his head, pulling him to the ground with more strength than she needed to, slamming him down. (slow motion).

Adriana and Ari were standing on the roof railing.

"And up here," Ari told them.

Adriana and Ari let their eyes glow purple, growling.

Adriana jumped down toward Maria, punching her in the face, slashing into her, making her fall to the ground. Ari jumped down next to them, landing in a crouch, standing. Maria pushed Adriana away, standing. Ari spun around to kick Maria in the back. Adriana slashed into her, making her fall, placing her hands on her back, flipping over her to land on the other side of her, slashing into her face.

Kincaid took a step toward them. Tara kicked him with both legs to get him away from them, kicking him into the wall. Kincaid turned to slash toward Tara. Tara somersaulted away.

Aiden and Ethan appeared behind Tara, letting their eyes glow blue.

"And right here," Aiden told them.

Aiden and Ethan pushed Kincaid into the wall, beating into him repeatedly.

Lydia and Angel ran outside, running toward Allison and Kira, helping them stand. They watched the fight as it continued.

Scott looked at Tara in surprise.

Tara felt him looking at her, looking at him.

Eichen House - Basement

Stiles and Malia were sitting on the couch, going through papers that had been stored in the basement, finding an illustration of trephination.

"This place definitely used to be a lot more fun," Malia told him sarcastically. "Electroshock, ice baths. Trepanation?"

"That's what Oliver was talking about," Stiles told her. "Trepanation is when they drill into your head."

"No wonder they don't want anyone down here," Malia told him.

Stiles sighed. "There's nothing here. Could you do me a favor? Could you just check the lines on my back? Just tell me if they're fading."

Stiles pulled up his shirt to show the marks on his back to Malia.

"Yeah, they're almost gone," Malia told him. Stiles looked down worriedly. "I'm guessing that's bad." Stiles nodded. Malia started to lower his shirt, touching his skin, making him cringe at the feel of her ice cold hands. "Oh. Sorry. I told you I'm always cold."

"That's okay," Stiles told her. "Here." He took her hands in his. "Boy, you really are."

They both chuckled.

Stiles used his hands to warm Malia's.

(Song:) Feel Real - Deptford Goth

Malia and Stiles looked at each other for a long moment. Malia suddenly leaned forward to kiss him suddenly, surprising him. They kissed for a moment longer, pulling away.

"Was that your first kiss?" Stiles asked. Malia chuckled, nodding. "Was it okay?" Malia nodded. "You want to try again?"

Malia nodded.

They continued to kiss, more deeply than before, more passionately. It was building in heat and hunger.

Malia pulled away. "I want to try something else."

"Something else?" Stiles repeated.

Malia nodded. "Yeah."

Malia pulled her shirt over her head, placing it aside, looking at Stiles nervously.

They continued to kiss, lying down, pulling away, looking at each other for a moment. Malia smiled. Stiles placed a hand on her cheek, kissing her neck. Malia closed her eyes in pleasure, smiling to herself. They intertwined their hands next to them on the couch, continuing to kiss.

Street

Aiden and Ethan were still beating Kincaid, making him fall.

Ari and Adriana stood next to Maria, making sure she stayed down, but didn't go after her again.

Scott and Natalie stood next to Tara.

Lydia, Allison, Kira and Angel watched from nearby.

"Stop," Adriana told them. "Ethan. Aiden."

Lydia ran forward. "Stop!"

Ari grabbed Ethan's orange and blue shirt. Adriana grabbed Aiden's plaid shirt. They both pulled them both back from Kincaid and Maria.

Kincaid and Maria remained on their knees in front of them.

Aiden looked at Ari, Adriana and Lydia. "You guys want them to come after us?"

"Guys, we've seen guys like these," Ethan told them. He looked at Adriana. "So have you, Adriana. Trust us, they're dangerous."

"You're right," Adriana told him. "I have."

"So are we," Tara told them.

"They look smart enough to remember that," Natalie told them.

Scott stood, reaching into Kincaid's jacket pocket, pulling out the silver prosthetic finger, pouring the miniature scroll onto his palm.

Ari managed a smile. She had been right.

Scott looked at Kincaid and Maria. "We're here to save two lives. Not end two."

Scott dropped the prosthetic finger to the ground.

Malia and Stiles were lying on the couch together. Malia now had her shirt on again. Stiles had his arm around her. They looked at each other, smiling.

Malia looked at the symbol on the wall, standing. "Stiles." She walked toward the wall. Stiles stood, following her. Malia knelt next to the wall, knocking on it. The noise sounded hollow and echoing. "Do you hear that?"

Stiles looked around, finding a pipe on the floor, picking it up.

Malia stood, backing away.

Stiles used the pipe to break into the wall.

Hallway

Stacie heard someone coming, hiding behind a wall.

Brunski walked closer, speaking into his radio.  "I'm near the basement. None of them are down here."

Man: (on radio) "We're still searching. Nothing?"

"Nothing," Brunski answered.

Brunski walked around the corner, about to discover Stacie in her hiding place.

Oliver arrived behind Brunski, hitting his head against the wall hard enough to make him fall unconscious.

Stacie jumped in surprise, looking at Oliver, stunned. "What the hell was that?"

"He was gonna catch us," Oliver replied.

"Us?" Stacie repeated. "What are you even doing down here?"

"Helping them," Oliver answered.

"Helping who?" Stacie asked. She didn't wait for an answer, shaking her head, turning around. "Someone needs to tell them to hurry up."

Oliver took Brunski's stun gun from his unconscious form, tasering Stacie in the back, making her gasp in pain and nearly fall, catching her in his arms. "You took his keys, Stacie. I took his stun gun."

"No," Stacie told him. "Oliver, please."

Oliver drove the stun gun into Stacie's side again, making her fall unconscious in his arms.

Basement

Malia and Stiles had broken into the wall, looking inside to see the mummified man and the corpse woman's bodies.

"This is them," Stiles told her.

"The Nogitsunes?" Malia asked. Stiles nodded. Malia reached into the wall to grab a picture from the floor, picking it up, showing it to Stiles. "Recognize them?"

"One of them," Stiles answered. "I have to get this to my friends."

Oliver arrived, driving the stun gun into Stiles' side, making him fall. He turned to Malia, driving the stun gun into her stomach three times until she fell unconscious.

Stiles saw that Stacie was unconscious on the floor by the stairs, incredibly worried. "Stacie."

"Like I was saying, Stiles," Oliver told him. "I heard they used to do trepanation here."

Oliver walked toward Stacie.

Stiles was in pain. "Oliver, what are you doing?"

Oliver picked up a power drill. "I'm going to let the evil spirits out."

Oliver turned the power drill on.

  ¤°¤•¤°¤

Stacie and Stiles were restrained to two chairs next to each other, facing each other.

Oliver stood between them. "I borrowed a few pointers from the five point restraint system."

Stacie struggled to get out, but was unable to. "Oliver, stop this."

Oliver coughed up a fly and blood into his hand, wiping his mouth.

"Oliver, listen to me," Stiles told him. "Stop. Oliver." Oliver started the drill, turning to Stacie. Stacie struggled desperately. Stiles glared at him. "No! Stop! Let her go!"

They heard the corpse woman's voice. "Start with her."

They looked toward where the mummified man and the corpse woman were standing next to the hole in the wall that contained their bodies.

Oliver walked toward where Malia was strapped to a chair.

Stacie looked at the Nogitsunes. "You did this. You got into his head."

"Every Dracula needs a Renfield," the mummified man replied.

Oliver tightened the restraints on Malia's wrists.

"Let her go," Stacie told them.

"Let us in," the corpse woman told them. Stiles and Stacie struggled. "Stiles... Stacie... Do you want her to leave here alive? Do you want us to leave? We can walk out of this place."

"Just let her go, please," Stiles told them.

The corpse woman stalked closer to Stacie, standing next to her, growling the words. "Let us in."

Stacie struggled, starting to get more angry and afraid, screaming.

"Let us in," the mummified man told them. Oliver placed one hand on Malia's head, holding it still, holding the drill in the other hand. "Let us in."

"Just let her go, please!" Stiles told them angrily.

The drill started to whirl.

The Nogitsunes spoke together. "Let us in! You let us in, we'll let her live."

"I'm sorry, Stacie," Stiles told her.

"What?" Stacie asked.

"Stacie, I'm sorry," Stiles told her.

Stacie started to realize.

Stiles tilted his head back, closing his eyes, relinquishing control, falling asleep.

Stacie was horrified, crying. "Stiles, no!"

Malia woke before the drill could pry into her skull, headbutting Oliver in the face, making him back away.

Void!Stiles woke, breaking free from his restraints with ease, rubbing his wrists. He walked toward Oliver, taking the drill from him, punching Oliver in the head, making him fall unconscious.

Malia looked him in confusion. "Stiles?"

"No," Stacie answered. "No, that's not Stiles."

Void!Stiles smirked, walking closer. "Your brother let me in, Stacie. It's only a matter of time you let her in. You can't fight us forever."

Stacie glared at him angrily, crying silently. "Watch me."

Void!Stiles smirked, placing down the drill, looking from Stacie to Malia, walking away.

Stacie closed her eyes, tilting her head back against the chair, crying. "Oh, my God."

Beacon Hills Animal Clinic - Backroom

Deaton, Scott and Ari were talking.

Deaton was holding the Shugendo scroll, "There isn't much here, unfortunately."

"Does it say anything?" Scott asked.

"My Japanese isn't great," Deaton told them.

Scott looked at Ari. "Ari, please tell me you know Japanese."

Ari smirked, taking the scroll from Deaton, reading what she could. "It appears to say that one method of expelling a Nogitsune is to change the body of the host."

"Change the body?" Scott repeated. "Ari, what does that mean? Ari? Ari, what is it?"

"Which begs the question, how do we change Stiles and Stacie's bodies?" Deaton asked.

"By turning them into Werewolves," Ari answered.

They looked at each other in surprise.

Day Three

Day - Eichen House - Hallway

Malia was dressed in normal clothes.

Stacie was in a change of clothes. The marks on her back and skin were fading more and more.

"They're almost gone, Stacie," Malia told her.

"Which is why I have to stay here," Stacie told her. "I can't be out there. I need you to go to Scott and Ari. You have to tell them that Stiles isn't Stiles anymore. At least, not right now. And you have to tell them that I'm fighting, but I don't know if I can make it much longer."

(Song:) Shout - Ida Redig

Malia nodded. "I know, Stacie. I know what I need to do. But you need to stay away from Stiles and Oliver."

Stacie sighed. "I know. But if they can't find a way to save me, I need you to make sure that I never get out of here. Tell Ari, Malia. You have to tell Ari."

"I will tell Ari," Malia told her, starting to back away. "Just as soon as I know where Ari is. Be safe, Stacie."

"I will, as long as you tell Ari," Stacie told her.

Malia walked away.

Stacie watched her go worriedly.

Malia stopped at the door, looking back at Stacie.

Stacie nodded.

Malia walked out, leaving.

Stacie sniffled, backing away down the hallway, turning around, walking away. (slow motion)
