chapter 17 - Silverfinger

Outfits in the external link

From 3.16 "Illuminated", in the loft at the black light party, Angel continued to dance, taking out her phone, turning on the flash to take a picture of Kira.

Kira chuckled, tilting her head at Angel.

Isaac: (voice over) "Previously on Worlds Colliding (Teen Wolf)"

Angel smirked. She looked at the picture of Kira.

The aura surrounding Kira in the picture looked as if it was a fox spirit that was apart of her.

Kira: (voice over from 3.16 Illuminated) "I look like a demon from hell."

From 3.16 "Illuminated", in the loft, Angel and Kira were sitting on the spiral staircase, drinking.

Angel took out her phone, showing her the picture she had taken of Kira while she had been dancing. "It doesn't look like a demon to me. It looks like a fox."

Kira looked at her, nodding. They looked at each other, hesitating, slowly starting to kiss.

From 3.16 "Illuminated", in the chemistry room, Stiles found that the key fit to the storage closet.

Raphael: (voice over from 3.16 Illuminated) "Barrow was hiding in the chemistry closet. Someone left him a message on the blackboard telling him to kill Kira and Angel."

Stiles made his way to the blackboard, where the numbers and their chemical counterpart still spelled out Kira's name, and where the angle with the arrows switching the e and l turned the word into Angel's name. He picked up a piece of chalk, writing the same numbers on the board.

It was his handwriting.

Stiles wrote down the word angle next to the original, but the original was in different handwriting. He frowned in confusion, knowing that the original chemical atomic numbers were in his handwriting, but not knowing about the other.

From 3.16 "Illuminated", in Ari's room, Natalie, Macey and Chris were checking on Isaac.

"They came out of the shadows," Isaac told them.

From 3.16 "Illuminated", on the balcony of the loft, Figure 1 placed a hand on the left side of Lydia's face, letting its eyes glow a greenish-yellow color.

Isaac: (voice over from 3.16 Illuminated) "One of them, I could see his eyes. Like a firefly."

From 3.16 "Illuminated", in Ari's room, Macey looked at Chris, knowing that he knew something that he didn't tell them. "Do you know what that means? Chris?"

"I think they might have been after me," Chris told them.

From 3.16 "Illuminated", there were flashes of the figures targeting Derek, Tara, Ari, Adriana, Natalie, Ethan and Aiden, and trying to target Kira, Angel and Stacie.

From 3.16 "Illuminated", outside Ari's House, Chris was badly injured, collapsing to the porch floor.

Macey walked toward him instantly, kneeling in front of him.

Chris chuckled weakly. "I was hoping that you could help me, doctor."

Macey looked at him worriedly in confusion.

Flashback - 24 Years Ago

Japan

Night - Yakuza Meeting

Young Chris was laying on the ground.

There were many dead Yakuza members on the ground.

The figures in black and masks were attacking them.

Figure 1 let his eyes glow a yellow-greenish color.

Adriana: (voice over) "His eyes were glowing."

 ¤°¤•¤°¤

Now

Day One

Morning - Ari's House - Living Room

Chris was still injured.

Macey was sewing his wounds, taking care of him.

Allison, Adriana and Ari were watching them.

"There was something almost ritualistic about it," Chris told them. "Like it was looking right into his soul."

Adriana looked at Ari. "That's the same thing it did to us, Ari."

"That's what they did to everyone, Adriana," Allison told her.

"Not everyone," Adriana told them. "They only came after the Werewolves."

"And Lydia," Ari told them.

"Anyone with a connection to the supernatural," Macey told them.

"Then who's the guy they went after in Japan?" Ari asked.

"A kumicho," Chris answered. "A Yakuza boss."

 ¤°¤•¤°¤

Flashback

Night - Yakuza Meeting

Young Chris was standing, meeting with the Yakuza boss.

Chris: (voice over)"It was my first gun deal. I was only 18, and it was supposed to be a simple exchange. Except Gerard left out the minor detail of the buyers being Yakuza. He wanted to see if I could adapt in the moment. Testing my ability to improvise."

The Yakuza faced Young Chris with guns drawn.

Young Chris looked at them nervously but remained calm.

Macey: (voice over) "Or your ability to survive."

 ¤°¤•¤°¤

Now

Day - Ari's House - Living Room

Macey was still patching Chris up.

Ari, Allison and Adriana watched them.

Chris continued his story. "The moment the sun went down it was like they just materialized out of the shadows."

 ¤°¤•¤°¤

Flashback

Night - Yakuza Meeting

The figures appeared.

Young Chris looked at them in shock.

Chris: (voice over) "They had swords, not curved like katanas but straight, black steel. Like ninjatos."

Ari: (voice over) "What did they want?"

Chris: (voice over) "To get to the kumicho, Ari."

The Yakuza aimed their guns at the figures, firing repeatedly, but nothing came from it.

The figures walked closer with their swords drawn. They started to kill the Yakuza one by one.

Chris: (voice over) "They cut down every living thing in their way."

 ¤°¤•¤°¤

Now

Day - Ari's House - Living Room

Macey was still patching Chris up.

Ari, Allison and Adriana watched them.

Adriana felt behind her ear to the mark she, Isaac, Natalie, Ari, Lydia, Tara, Derek, Aiden and Ethan all had. "Did they mark him like they did us?"

Chris shook his head. "Not exactly, Adriana."

 ¤°¤•¤°¤

Flashback

Night - Yakuza Meeting

The figures continued to kill the Yakuza.

Young Chris took cover from the gunfire by laying on the ground.

The Yakuza boss hid behind a fountain. He looked over the fountain. His eyes were completely white. He had long fangs.

The figures killed the kumicho as well, making him screech in pain.

Young Chris had to close his eyes.

Blood poured over the fountain.

Allison: (voice over) "What was he?"

          ¤

Flashback

Day - Ari's House - Living Room

Macey was still patching Chris up.

Ari, Allison and Adriana watched.

"I don't know," Chris told them. "But there might be someone who does. There were a few others who survived that night. One of them was a man named Katashi."

          ¤

Flashback

Night - Yakuza Meeting

Young Katashi was on the ground. He had a prosthetic finger that was pure silver.

Chris: (voice over) "They called him silver finger because of an unusual prosthetic. And it looked like he was getting ready to take them all on himself."

A figure walked toward Young Katashi, preparing to kill him.

Young Chris stood from the ground, drawing his gun, aiming at the figure, firing.

        ¤

Now

Day - Ari's House - Living Room

Macey was still patching Chris up.

Ari, Allison and Adriana watched.

"I've known for a while Katashi was in the country," Chris told them. "I spent yesterday tracking him down."

Adriana pointed at Chris' bruised, mangled and cut forehead. "Didn't look like he wanted to be found."

"Not particularly, Adriana, no," Chris agreed.

"You think he knows what they are?" Macey asked.

"Or what they want?" Ari added.

"Maybe, Ari," Chris answered.

"What if he doesn't want to talk?" Allison asked.

"What if he doesn't even remember you?" Macey asked.

Chris stood, pulling a box closer to him. "He'll remember this."

Chris unwrapped a cloth from around a broken mask identical to the figures's.

 ¤°¤•¤°¤

Flashback

Night - Yakuza Meeting

Young Chris fired his shot, breaking the mask off of a figure.

 ¤°¤•¤°¤

Now

Day - Ari's House - Living Room

Chris showed Ari, Allison, Adriana and Macey the broken mask. "I know I didn't kill it. I'm not sure if you can. But I slowed it down long enough for us to get out of there."

Ari picked a piece of the broken mask. "What was behind the mask?"

 ¤°¤•¤°¤

Flashback

Night - Yakuza Meeting

The figure didn't have his mask. It didn't have a face. All that could be seen was smoke drifting out of his head where it mask should have been.

Chris: (voice over) "Darkness. Absolute darkness."

¤•¤°¤•¤

Scott looked up. He blinked. When he opened his eyes, they were glowing red.

Scott levitated above the ground. Tyler Posey.

Allison was facing the side. She pulled up her bow, her face echoing, releasing the bow. Crystal Reed.

Hands reached up from the soil, reaching toward each other

Stiles stood next to his Jeep, walking forward. Dylan O'Brien

Stacie looked up, facing the right, a slow smile spreading across her face, in the track pose, her face echoing. She ran forward. Zoey Deutch

Ari and Adriana stood back to back. Ari looked to the left, holding her motorcycle helmet in her hands, the irises of her eyes glowing blue. Adriana looked to the right, tracing her double infinity tattoo on her wrist, her eyes glowing completely purple. There was water sprinkles everywhere as they both looked up. Katherine McNamara.

Tara stood with her back toward you, looking over her shoulder, black blood covering her skin, her body reflecting each other. Victoria Justice.

On the back of Tara's hand, a triskele appeared. The spirals were black. The tip of one spiral was Beta blue. The tip of one spiral was Beta gold. The tip of one spiral was Alpha red. The intersection point was purple.

A black wolf howled.

Derek looked up, shirtless, his eyes closed, shifted, roaring, dust falling off of his body. Tyler Hoechlin.

A triskele appeared on Derek's back.

Lydia's hair covered her face, her hands held in front of her. She tossed her head back to get it to fall behind her head. Holland Roden

A double infinity sign tattoo appeared on Adriana's wrist.

Lydia's reflecting heads turned away from each other, screaming.

Two bands appeared over Scott's arm, the top band thicker than the other.

An Oni's mask was covered in blood.

Tara's black blood covered body, her face hidden, reflected itself. She clawed a design into it across her stomach.

Scott stared ahead. His eyes glowed red. He tilted his head down toward his chest.

On the Road

(Song:) Yes / No - Fake Blood

Scott was riding his dirt bike to school.

Ethan and Aiden rode up on their motorcycles, flanking him.

Scott raced ahead, but the twins easily kept up.

Beacon Hills High School - Outside

Scott, Ethan and Aiden pulled over in parking spaces, pulling their helmets off.

"You guys gonna be doing this all day?" Scott asked.

"All day," Ethan answered.

"All night," Aiden told him.

"Is this about being in my pack?" Scott asked.

"This is about you being the target of demonic ninjas," Aiden answered.

"You mean the demonic ninjas that pulled swords out of their chests and completely kicked our asses?" Ethan asked.

"Yeah," Aiden answered. "Those demonic ninjas."

Scott smirked slightly in amusement. "I don't need anyone to protect me."

"They were looking right at you when the sun came up," Ethan told him.

"And they also disappeared," Scott told them. "Argent thinks that they could just come out at night."

"Since this is our first experience with demonic ninjas, we're thinking we should play it safe," Ethan told him.

Aiden nodded in agreement. "All day."

Scott sighed in annoyance. "And all night."

Inside - Hallway

Scott stood at his locker.

Ethan and Aiden stood behind him.

"Okay, one thing first," Scott told them, putting his helmet into his locker. "Stacie and I need to talk to Stiles and let him know everything that happened last night. Without you."

"No," Aiden told him.

"Yes," Scott told them. "And I don't want you listening in. No wolf hearing."

"How would you even know?" Aiden asked.

"I'm a True Alpha," Scott told them. "You have no idea what I can do."

Scott closed his locker.

Chemistry Room

Stiles, Stacie and Scott walked in.

Stiles was freaking out a bit. "So, then Stacie starts talking about phosphors and the key having chemicals on it, right? And so that made me think of the chemistry closet and the fact that someone had to let Barrow in..." They all looked at the blank black board, no chalk marks or numbers or code of any kind on it. "It's gone. Okay, it doesn't matter though." Stiles backed toward Stacie and Scott, grabbing his keys. "It doesn't matter. I still got the key." He walked past them toward the closet, flipping through the keys on the key chain, not finding the right one. He turned to face Stacie and Scott, whispering. "What the hell? I had it... I had it here. I had it here this morning." He looked at Stacie and Scott. "I swear to God I had it here this morning before Stacie used the Jeep."

"What are you talking about?" Stacie asked, shaking her head, too tired to understand. "Stiles, I never used the Jeep."

"Yes, you did," Stiles told her. "Did you take the key? Or did you put it there in the first place to make me think it was me?"

Stacie shook her head in confusion.

"The key you were talking about last night?" Scott asked.

"Yeah, I showed it to you, right?" Stiles asked, looking up again. "Didn't I show it to you?"

"No, you just told me about it," Scott answered. "I never actually saw it."

"You had to have seen it, Stacie," Stiles told her. "You had the keys this morning. And I'm still wondering if you put it there in the first place, and then wrote the message in my hand writing, because I know how good you are at forging signatures. You did it on field trip papers all the time, using Dad's signature, and I know you know what my hand writing looks like."

"Stiles, I swear to God I didn't have the keys or take the Jeep anywhere this morning," Stacie told him. "I didn't put the key on your ring." She pointed at the blackboard. "And I sure as hell didn't write any coded message on that board."

Stiles looked away.

Stiles and Stacie were both breathing a little heavier.

Stiles looked at the board, walking closer to it, turning to face Stacie. "You dropped me off here an hour ago, and you asked to use the Jeep, and the message left to Barrow spelling Kira and Angel's names were right there on the board in my hand writing, or you forged my hand writing, and I had the key to the chemistry closet before Stacie used the Jeep, came back and now they're both gone."

"So you're saying either you unlocked the chemistry closet so Barrow could hide in it from the cops and then you wrote him a message to kill Kira and Angel?" Scott asked. "Or that Stacie unlocked the door, putting the key on your key ring, and then forged your handwriting to make it look like you wrote the message telling Barrow to kill Kira and Angel, all to make it look like you did it all, and then she erased the evidence?"

Stiles shook his head, looking down. "I know how it sounds. But look at this." He looked down, unfolding a newspaper clip. "This is the news article about Barrow when they caught him, okay? About the shrapnel bomb he used. See this? See what he did? He put nuts, bolts and screws. And then he hid the bomb and the detonator in a box that he wrapped as a birthday present. What does that sound like to you?"

"Oh, my God," Stacie told them. "Coach. The joke we played on Coach."

"That was your idea, Stacie," Stiles told her. "You remember that was your idea? That's no coincidence. It can't be."

"I didn't..." Stacie trailed off, shaking her head. "I didn't know, I swear."

"She's not lying, Stiles," Scott told him. "She had no idea. Her heart beat... She's not lying. And you know she's a bad liar, anyway. And don't want to sound like I'm trying to tell you that you're wrong, but I don't think either of you are trying to kill people."

Stiles crumpled the piece of paper in his hand. He looked at the board. "It was here. It was all here."

"Guys, are you feeling okay?" Scott asked. "You both are looking really tired."

"Yeah, I'm fine," Stiles told them. "I just haven't been sleeping really."

"I haven't either," Stacie told them. She looked down, wondering what was going on or if this was a dream. "Like, much at all."

Stacie looked at her fingers, silently starting to count.

"Why don't you guys go home?" Scott asked. Stacie was still counting her fingers. "Take a sick day or something." Stacie was still counting her fingers. Scott patted Stiles on the arm, looking at Stacie worriedly. "Stace?"

Stacie exhaled, looking up. "Huh?"

"You okay?" Scott asked.

Stacie sighed.

Scott gave her a look, asking silently if they should have told Stiles about the figures.

Stacie figured that it wasn't the best time to tell him, shaking her head.

Scott nodded in understanding and agreement.

 ¤°¤•¤°¤

Hallway

Ethan, Scott and Aiden walked down the hallway.

"Did you guys tell him?" Aiden asked.

"No," Scott answered. "He's got enough on his mind right now. They're both gonna take a sick day today, so that way, once they both calm down a little, Stacie can tell him about what happened."

"They're coming for you in a few hours," Ethan told him.

Scott turned to face them. "What if it's not me? Okay? What if I'm not the one they want?"

"Who else is there?" Ethan asked.

Scott turned around to walk down the hallway. He saw Kira and Angel walk down the stairs down the hall, both of whom were smiling. He realized that the figures were going after them.

Argent Apartment - Study

Ari, Allison, Adriana, Natalie, Isaac and Chris stood around the desk, looking at a map.

"The real problem is Katashi doesn't see visitors," Chris told them. "Ever. He's a paranoid recluse who rarely steps outside the gates of his estate."

"So how are we going to get him?" Natalie asked.

"Oh, he's got a thing for rare, antique weapons," Chris told them, stepping away from the desk, closer to the closet. "Yesterday, I had some contacts put out the word that I was selling one from my own collection." He pulled out a glass case with an old gun encased inside, setting it down on the desk. "This is a French Flintlock Turnover Pistol from 1645."

"You're not going alone," Allison told him.

"And our mom would kill us if you got hurt while doing something dangerous that we knew about," Adriana told him. Ari nodded. "We're going."

"If Adriana and Ari are going, I'm going," Isaac told them.

"If he's going, I'm going," Natalie finished.

"To be honest, I don't feel good about bringing any of you," Chris told them.

"They were looking right at Scott when the sun came up," Ari told them.

"Well, that doesn't necessarily mean he's the one they're going after," Adriana told them.

"But if he is?" Allison asked.

Chris straightened from the table. "If he is, that might only leave us till nightfall to come up with a way to protect him."

"All right," Natalie told them. "Let's go see if a paranoid Yakuza wants to put another gun in his collection."

Beacon Hills Memorial Hospital - Outside

The Jeep pulled up into a parking space.

   ¤°¤•¤°¤

Stiles' Jeep

Stiles was in the driver's seat.

Stacie was in the passenger seat.

"I'm so sorry, Stace," Stiles told her. "About grilling you like that. I know how it sounded. I didn't know what I was thinking. How could I ever think that?"

"Stiles, it's okay," Stacie told him. "I'm fine."

"No, it's not okay," Stiles told her. "I'm so sorry."

Stacie slowly nodded, sighing, looking at the hospital building. "Let's go see what the hell is wrong with us."

 ¤°¤•¤°¤

Inside - Waiting Room

Stiles and Stacie stood at the front desk.

Melissa sat across from them at her computer. "Doctor Gardener's not back until next week. Do you want to try waiting for one of the urgent care doctors, or..." Stiles backed away. Stacie was overwhelmed. "Stiles. Stacie." Melissa stood, taking off her stethoscope, placing it down on her desk. "Are you all right?"

"I don't know," Stiles told her shakily. "I... I guess not really."

"He's, uh... we're..." Stacie trailed off

"All right, kiddos," Melissa told them. "All right, come with me."

Stacie shook her head. "Take care of him first. Please."

"Stacie, you need to be taken care of too," Melissa told her.

"All right, um, where's, uh, Ari's mom?" Stacie asked.

"In surgery with a patient," Melissa answered.

"Then I'll wait," Stacie told them.

"Are you sure?" Melissa asked.

"Yes," Stacie answered. "Go. Please."

Melissa nodded, leading Stiles away.

Stacie sat down in the hallway in a chair, leaning her head back against the wall, closing her eyes.

Stiles' Hospital Room

Stiles was sitting on the bed.

Melissa was standing next to him, taking notes.

"Blackouts," Stiles told her. "But not for that long. And sleepwalking, which I used to do a lot as a kid. Um, also having some really bad anxiety."

"Panic attacks?" Melissa asked.

"Yeah, a couple," Stiles answered. "Oh, and I temporarily lost the ability to read, but that might have had more to do with this giant magic tree and a whole human sacrifice thing."

Melissa smiled a small smile. "I recall something vaguely about that, yes. How many hours of sleep are you getting?"

"Eight," Stiles answered.

"A night?" Melissa asked.

"In the last three days," Stiles answered. "Yeah, definitely eight."

"Been feeling irritable?" Melissa asked.

"Yeah," Stiles answered. "Possibly to the point of homicide."

"Inability to focus?" Melissa asked.

"No, the Adderall's not working," Stiles told her.

"Impulsive behavior?" Melissa asked.

"More than usual?" Stiles asked. "Hard to tell."

"Vivid dreams during the day?" Melissa asked.

"Okay, basically all of the above," Stiles told her. "Do you know what this is?"

Melissa put down her clipboard, picking up a needle. "I think so."

"Uh, what's that?" Stiles asked.

"Do you trust me?" Melissa asked.

"When you're not holding a needle," Stiles answered.

Melissa injected Stiles with the needle. "It's a Midazolam. A sedative."

"Why'd you give me a sedative?" Stiles asked.

"Because, you, Stiles, are one profoundly sleep-deprived young man," Melissa answered. "You need rest, and you need it now. Lie down."

Stiles started to lay down. "Okay, how long's it take to... Oh. Not long at all."

Stiles fell asleep.

   Warehouse - Outside

The Argent SUV, Adriana's medium green Kia Soul and Ari's motorcycle were parked outside.

Allison and Chris got out of the SUV.

Adriana and Natalie got out of Adriana's car.

Ari and Isaac got off of Ari's motorcycle.

Chris' phone vibrated. He looked at the message, immediately putting it down.

"What is it?" Allison asked.

"Katashi won't do the buy in person," Chris answered.

"But he's a paranoid recluse," Adriana told them.

"Shouldn't you be a little less surprised?" Ari agreed.

Chris looked at the twin sisters, replying to their sarcastic tones. "I was trying to remain optimistic that we wouldn't have to go to my Plan B."

Chris looked at Isaac and Natalie.

"Plan B?" Natalie repeated.

"And what's Plan B?" Isaac asked.

Chris looked from Isaac to Natalie. "How tall are you?"

Chris pressed a button on his keys, making the truck of his SUV open.

Isaac and Natalie looked at him in confusion.

Beacon Hills Memorial Hospital - Waiting Room

Stacie was sitting in her chair. Her phone vibrated. She pulled it out, seeing several unread messages from Scott, Lydia, Allison, Adriana, Ari, Natalie, Derek, all of them asking if she was okay.

Melissa walked toward her. "Stacie?" Stacie looked up, putting her phone in her pocket. Melissa took her by the hand. "Come with me, okay?"

Stacie nodded.

 ¤°¤•¤°¤

Stacie's Hospital Room

Stacie was sitting on the bed. "Where's Stiles?'

"Asleep," Melissa answered, walking closer.

Stacie looked at her in surprise, raising her eyebrows. "That have anything to do with me feeling a needle?"

Melissa smiled. "Yes. He told me you were having some of the same problems he's having." Stacie nodded. "Short blackouts, sleepwalking, panic attacks, acute sleep insomnia, irritability, loss of focus, impulsive behavior, and vivid dreams during the day."

Stacie nodded. "Yeah, sounds about right. Only, he seems to have it worse off." She unzipped her hoodie, starting to pull it off over the cast. "And this stupid cast... Sometimes, I swear, the irritable-ness? I get to that extreme case where I want to bash someone's head in with it. It's mostly supernatural creatures trying to kill me."

Melissa chuckled, pulling out a needle. "I think it'd be best to get it off soon, then, huh?"

Stacie nodded cautiously, looking down at the needle. "Is that the same stuff you gave Stiles?"

"Yep," Melissa answered, injecting her with it. "It's a sedative. Both you and your brother are very sleep-deprived young human teenagers. It kicks in fast." Stacie nodded in agreement, already getting sleepy, laying down. Melissa laid the blanket over her. "Get some rest."

Stacie was already starting to fall asleep. "Thanks, Mom."

Melissa looked at her in surprise and sympathy. She turned off the light.

Beacon Hills High School - Library

Kira was sitting at a table.

Angel walked closer with a book. "Kira."

Kira looked up. "What's up, Angel?"

Angel sat in front of Kira with the book. "I think I know what's happening to you."

"You do?" Kira asked. "Really?" Angel nodded. "How?"

"Because it was one of the creatures in one of my mom's books," Angel answered. "When I took your picture at the black light party, I saw your complete aura. And it looked like a fox, right?"

"Yeah," Kira answered.

Angel showed her the book. "Have you ever heard of something called a Kitsune?"

Kira shook her head. She looked at the pictures. "That looks like what happened to me at the power station."

"When a Kitsune rubs its tails together, it can create fire or lightning," Angel explained. "But that's in the fairytale versions. In my mom's mythology, see says that the tails are actually stones that you can create to make power."

The bell rang to release school.

(Song:) 2112 - Destructo

Kira sighed, looking at Angel. "We should go, Angel."

Angel nodded in agreement.

Outside

Scott was getting ready to leave on his dirt bike.

Ethan and Aiden walked closer, getting onto their motorcycles on either side of him.

"Guys, I appreciate you wanting to protect me," Scott told them. "But I have to be alone for a bit. So... sorry about this."

Ethan and Aiden tried to start their bikes to no avail.

Scott dropped their spark plugs to the ground, driving away.

Warehouse - Outside

Chris, Allison, Adriana and Ari stood next to the SUV, looking over a blue print.

"Katashi's office is here," Chris told them.

Natalie walked closer in a business deal dress, looking beautiful but awkward at the same time. "Guys. This is your Plan B? Can't we skip to a Plan C or D where I don't look like I'm a real life mannequin  from 'I'm a Snotty, Rich Bitch Magazine'?"

Isaac walked closer, wearing a tuxedo. "This isn't going to work. I look ridiculous." He walked around the car. "I mean... I look like I just stepped out of the last period of a Catholic prep school. And there is no way that Natalie and I are going to be able to remember all this. I mean, what does this even mean? 'Revolving over and under barrel'?"

Isaac sighed.

Chris looked from Allison, Adriana and Ari to Natalie and Isaac. "All you have to do is keep them talking long enough to allow us to get inside and find Katashi. He may not be there for the buy in person but he won't be far."

"You look great, Natalie," Allison told her.

Ari and Adriana nodded in agreement.

"I am sweating, all the way through my jacket," Isaac told them. Natalie looked away. "I didn't even know that I could sweat this much."

Ari pressed her lips together, looking at Allison and Chris. "Give me a second." She looked at her twin sister. "Adri, deal with Natalie."  She nodded Natalie, silently telling Adriana to help her. Adriana nodded. Ari took Isaac's hand, pulling him with her to the end of Chris' car. Adriana took Natalie's and led her to her own car. Ari turned to face Isaac. "You and Natalie can do this." Isaac exhaled. "You're not a boy if you walk in there acting like a man. Okay?" She took the hem of Isaac's white shirt underneath the blazer, tucking it into the trousers. "Go in there with confidence... and all they'll see is a boyish looking man."

"Or a stupid teenager pretending to be a man," Isaac told her. "Natalie and I are going to get our heads blown off by a bunch of Japanese fingerless mobsters--" Ari placed a hand on either of his cheeks, kissing him passionately, making his rant trail off. She trailed her left hand down his chest to his hand, taking it slowly, leading his hand to her waist and down to her butt. They pulled away. Isaac was surprised. "What was that for?"

Ari used his words from when he had kissed her for the first time in 3.04 Unleashed. "Call it one kiss for a confidence boost."

They continued to kiss.

Adriana and Natalie were talking by Adriana's car.

"Natalie, I want you to think about what Boyd would do or what he would want you to do," Adriana told her.

"Adriana, he'd never do this," Natalie told her.

"Even if he was forced into it?" Adriana asked. Natalie didn't answer, sighing. "Natalie." Adriana circled around Natalie to stand behind her, pulling her hair up to a very elegant, very sophisticated but very sexy up-do where her hair trickled down in crimps and curls, a curl of shorter hair shimmying next to her face. "Natalie, would Boyd want you to do it?"

"Yes, Adriana," Natalie answered.

"Then do it, Natalie," Adriana told her, turning to face her, placing her hands on her shoulders. "For him, okay, Natalie?"

(Song:) Seven - Apes

Natalie looked down, nodding. She looked at Adriana, nodding more noticeably, looking up with that glint in her eye that said nothing would stop her, when she was determined to get something done.

Ari and Isaac finally pulled away from their kiss.

Ari looked up at him with a smile. "How do you feel now?"

Isaac smiled.

Inside

The door slid open.

Natalie and Isaac walked in.

Natalie was wearing sunglasses, taking them off. "Gentlemen."

Isaac smirked confidently. "I believe Mr. Katashi is expecting us."

They heard a deep man's voice. "We're expecting you."

Isaac and Natalie looked up at a man and a woman on a small platform.

The man and woman walked downstairs.

The woman had long claws, scratching along the railing.

The man was holding a briefcase.

Isaac and Natalie knew that they were both Werewolves, sighing.

Hale Loft - Living Room

Derek and Tara were waiting patiently.

Scott slid the door open, walking in.

Derek stood. "Did you bring them?"

"Yeah," Scott answered. He looked toward the door. "It's okay, guys. Come on in."

Kira and Angel walked in.

"You really think those guys are coming after us?" Kira asked.

"We're not taking any chances," Tara told them.

"Then we're running out of time," Angel told them.

"We know," Tara told them. "But the Martin twins, the Laheys, the Argents? They're working on something that could help."

"I don't want to sound pessimistic or anything, but you really think that we're gonna keep them out?" Kira asked.

Deaton walked in. "Actually, we have a plan. It's sort of a security system. Tara and Derek came to me earlier today asking if I could help them."

"Do you work for a security company or something?" Angel asked.

"No," Deaton answered. "I'm a veterinarian."

Angel looked at Tara and Derek in confusion. "Tara, you had a vet put in your alarm?"

"Yeah, sort of," Tara answered. "But we can't arm it. Only he can."

"Why only him?" Kira asked.

"Because it's something only a non-supernatural human can do," Derek answered.

Angel looked at them in confusion. "You think that I'm supernatural?"

"You said that you and your uncle were drawn here to Beacon Hills, right, Angel?" Scott asked.

"Yeah," Angel answered.

"Angel, a few weeks back, me and my friends, we did something," Scott told her. "Something that made Beacon Hills sort of a beacon for the supernatural."

"Like you guys?" Angel asked.

"Anything, actually," Derek answered. "It doesn't all have to be just Werewolves."

"Angel, Scott told us about your mother's mythology writing," Tara told her.

"Are you saying that everything that my mom wrote about is true?" Angel asked.

"And more," Tara answered.

"I don't think she was just a writer, Angel," Deaton told her. "I think she knew something. I think she knew everything."

Angel looked at them in confusion.

Beacon Hills Memorial Hospital - Waiting Room

Macey was just done with surgery.

Melissa walked toward her with two patient folders in her hands. "Macey. Stiles and Stacie are here, and I think you should take a look at this."

"Okay," Macey told her in confusion, taking one of the folders.

Melissa opened the other, holding them side by side so Macey could read both over simultaneously.

"Look familiar to you?" Melissa asked.

Macey nodded, closing the file in one hand, leading Melissa down the hallway.

 ¤°¤•¤°¤

Record Room

Macey and Melissa walked in.

Macey looked through the stacks, following to the one she wanted, pulling it out holding Stacie's folder toward Melissa. "Hold them open, Melissa, please." Melissa did, arranging them to where Macey could see both of the symptoms' sheets. Macey opened the other folder. They were comparing them. Macey read aloud. "'Patient is irritable, impulsive, complaints of vivid. Inability to distinguish between fantasy and reality, acute insomnia'."

"The same thing's happening, isn't it?" Melissa asked.

Macey didn't answer, because she didn't know the answer, closing the folder in her hand, reading Deceased 2004.

The folder was Claudia Stilinski's.

Stiles and Stacie's mother.

Warehouse

Ari and Adriana were rendering the guards in the warehouse unconscious.

Ari held Guard 1 in a chokehold until he fell unconscious.

Adriana kicked Guard 2 in the knee, making him fall to his knees, punching him in the head hard enough to make him fall unconscious, walking along without stopping.

   ¤°¤•¤°¤

Main Room

Isaac and Natalie were meeting with the Werewolf couple and other guards.

Natalie opened the case like she didn't suspect anything wrong, looking at the gun inside. "What we're looking at here is a mint-condition French Flintlock Turnover Pistol crafted in the mid-17th century. It was a gift from Loius XIV to a prominent French family." She looked up toward the man named Kincaid and the woman named Maria. "It's only ever been fired once."

"During a duel between brothers on the grounds of the Palace of Versailles," Kincaid told them.

"So you're familiar with it," Isaac told them, hiding his nervousness, realizing the danger.

"Oh, Mr. Katashi knows what he wants," Maria told them. "We'll take it." She opened her own case, showing stacks and stacks of money. "$150,000."

Isaac hesitated. "We're gonna need to count it."

"Oh, really?" Maria asked.

"Yeah," Isaac whispered, taking the money machine out of their bag, setting it down on the table next to the suitcase.

Natalie and Isaac exchanged a look.

Natalie nodded.

Isaac reached for one stack, pulling out the band wrapped around it, slipping it into the counter.

¤°¤•¤°¤

¤°¤•¤°¤

Isaac reached for another stack.

Kincaid closed the case. "You two don't know the whole story behind this gun, do you?" He stepped closer, around the table, closer to Isaac. "There was no duel between brothers. That was the cover story." Maria started to walk closer to Natalie. "The real one involves an encounter in the woods with a vicious animal. Its bite caused one of the men to change into something." Kincaid clicked his tongue. "Monstrous. By this family's code, the brother of this man killed man killed him with this very gun."

"Well, that is certainly better than the version that we heard," Natalie told them.

Kincaid and Maria continued to close in on them.

"We're gonna trust you guys with the money here, and, uh..." Isaac trailed off.

Natalie reached for the case.

Maria grabbed Natalie by her wrist. "Personally, I'd like to hear your story."

Kincaid grabbed Isaac.

Isaac and Natalie let their eyes glow gold, growling at Kincaid and Maria.

   ¤°¤•¤°¤

Elsehwhere

A man was watching video surveillance through his tablet, seeing that Kincaid and Maria were fighting Isaac and Natalie. He turned to another portion of surveillance, seeing Ari render another guard unconscious. He turned to another portion, seeing Adriana render another guard unconscious. He put the tablet down, aiming his gun at the door.

Chris walked in, aiming the gun at the other man. "All I want to do is talk, Katashi."

"Taking out my security is not what I would call a good conversation starter," Katashi told him.

Allison walked in.

"You don't remember me, do you?" Chris asked. "Allison, take the man's gun." Allison swung her rope, making it wrap around the gun, pulling it out of his hand and to the floor behind her. Ari and Adriana walked in, standing on either side of Allison. "Now, can we talk?"

They heard Natalie's voice. "Ari? Adriana?"

They looked toward where Kincaid and Maria had their claws to Natalie and Isaac's throats.

"They have Werewolves too," Isaac told them.

Ari looked worried.

Adriana looked annoyed. "Come on, Natalie."

Hale Loft - Living Room

Kira and Angel were sitting on the floor in front of the wall of windows, looking at the book of Kitsunes that Angel had shown her at the library.

"I can't believe there are so many types," Kira told her.

"I know," Angel told her. She was thinking. "Do you think that they're right? That my mom knew something about all of this?"

"I would make sense, right?" Kira asked. "I mean, from what I've read, from what they've read, it seems that your mother's never been wrong about anything."

"Why didn't she tell me?" Angel asked.

"Maybe to protect you," Kira answered.

"You think that I'm something supernatural, too?" Angel asked.

"I don't know, Angel," Kira told her. "I mean, I never knew that I was something supernatural. It just kind of... came along."

Angel sighed. "I don't know what to do."

Kira nodded. "I know."

"The sun's setting," Angel told her.

"Yeah, I know," Kira told her. "Are you scared?"

"Not right now," Angel answered.

They looked at each other, smiling small smiles.

Deaton, Scott, Tara and Derek walked in.

"Sun's going down," Tara told them. "Get ready."

The sun outside set completely.

"Deaton, now," Scott told him.

A figure of black appeared outside the door, stabbing Deaton in the shoulder with his sword.

Kira and Angel stood in shock.

Kira screamed.

Derek slid across the floor, letting his eyes glow blue, growling, pushing the figure out of the loft.

Figure 2 appeared behind Tara, growling. Tara snarled.

Scott shifted, growling.

Figure 2 slashed toward Tara with its sword. Tara jumped over the sword, landing on the floor, spinning to face Figure 2, letting her eyes glow blue, growling. Figure 2 swung toward her again. Tara ducked.

Angel and Kira pulled the wounded Deaton away from the fight.

Figure 1 swung toward Derek repeatedly. Derek jumped over the sword or ducked under it.

Figure 3 tried to stab Scott. Scott caught his arm, pushing him back into Figure 4, making them both fall. They both stood.

Aiden and Ethan ran inside.

Figure 2 appeared behind Angel.

Angel turned to face him, backing away instantly.

Scott, Derek, Tara, Aiden and Ethan were all fighting and dodging and ducking swords.

Ethan kicked Figure 3 outside.

Derek threw Figure 2 outside.

Aiden threw Figure 5 out of the loft door.

Tara hit Figure 1's head against the wall, turning around, pulling him toward the door, throwing him out of the loft.

"Deaton, now!" Scott told him. "Do it now!"

Scott pushed Figure 4 outside.

Deaton tossed down a bottle of Mountain Ash, breaking it. The powder spread into a perfect line along the doorway.

The figures outside the door couldn't get inside.

Kira went to reach out of the door. The barrier glowed as it repelled her.

Warehouse

Allison, Ari, Adriana, Natalie, Isaac and Chris were meeting with Katashi and his henchmen.

Chris pulled out the fabric, unfolding it so Katashi could see the broken mask. "Starting to remember? It was 24 years ago." Katashi nodded to the two wolves holding Natalie and Isaac, and they each let them go. "You know what they are, don't you?"

Katashi was putting the mask together. "They're called Oni. They are demons. And they are unstoppable."

Night - Hale Loft - Derek's Room

Derek, Scott and Tara had taken Deaton upstairs to lay him down on the bed, letting him rest and stay out of danger while he was injured.

"All the baseboards are ashwood?" Scott asked.

"Yeah," Tara answered. "It was my idea. We've had a lot of supernatural break-ins."

Derek sat next to Deaton, applying pressure to his wound.

"How bad is it?" Scott asked.

"From the way that his arm is rotated, the tendon looks torn," Derek told them. "He could be on his way to a collapsed lung."

"Derek, those things, they're not going to leave until the sun's up," Tara told him.

"At the rate he's bleeding, he's not gonna make it that long, Tara," Derek told her. "We got to get him to the hospital."

"Tara, should we call the Sheriff?" Scott asked.

"That's going to just get more people hurt," Tara told them. "Guns don't work on those things."

Scott sighed in worry. "Then what does, Tara?"

 ¤°¤•¤°¤

Warehouse

Allison, Ari, Adriana, Natalie, Isaac and Chris were meeting with Katashi and his men.

"Nothing," Katashi told them. "At least no man-made weapons. The Oni are a force of nature. You don't fight a tsunami. You endure it. And you hope that you're not destroyed in its path."

"Then how do we endure it?" Allison asked.

"Four of you already have," Katashi answered, turning Isaac and Natalie's heads to look at their marks. He looked at Adriana and Ari. "This is Japanese kanji for 'self'." Isaac looked toward Ari. Ari gave him a look as if to tell him I told you so. "This means they are still themselves." Katashi let go. "The Oni are looking for those who are no longer themselves."

"What do you mean, no longer themselves?" Adriana asked.

"Possessed," Katashi answered. "By a dark spirit."

¤°¤•¤°¤

Hale Loft - Living Room

Kira and Angel were standing nearby the door.

Ethan and Aiden were with them.

They looked outside toward the Oni.

Derek was sitting on the spiral staircase.

"It's Kira and Angel, right?" Aiden asked. "You gonna tell us what you are?"

"What?" Kira asked. "What do you mean?"

Aiden grabbed Angel by her wrist.

Angel tried to pull away.

"Aiden..." Ethan trailed off.

"Watch," Aiden told him, putting Angel's hand up to the barrier of Mountain Ash, making it repel against her and her gasp in pain. He let her go. "See that?" Ethan walked closer. "They can't go through it, either." Aiden looked at Angel and Kira. "So what are you guys, Angel?"

Derek stood, walking closer. "Kira's a Kitsune, idiot. Use your eyes. You can see it all around her. The younger ones give off an aura. She just hasn't learned how to conceal it yet. She probably doesn't know what kind she is, either." He looked at Angel. "Angel, only supernatural creatures can't pass the Mountain Ash. So, Aiden just proved our thought. You are something, Angel. You haven't exhibited any supernatural traits other than not being able to pass through the barrier. I can't tell by scent, I can't tell by sight. There's nothing to go on."

"So how do I figure out what I am if I can't do anything to prove what I am?" Angel asked in annoyance.

Derek shook his head. "Angel, you'll just have to wait until something comes along. Sometimes, when you're born into the supernatural, it just takes a certain age for signs to show, Angel."

Angel didn't like the thought of having to wait.

 ¤°¤•¤°¤

Warehouse

Allison, Ari, Adriana, Natalie, Isaac and Chris were meeting with Katashi and his henchmen.

"There are 13 kinds of Kitsune," Katashi explained. "Celestial, wild, ocean, thunder. But there is one, a dark Kitsune. They call it void. Or Nogitsune."

"The kumicho," Chris told them.

Katashi nodded. "That's right. He was possessed by a Nogitsune. It's what helped him rise through the ranks of our Yakuza family. Nogitsune draws its power from pain and tragedy, strife and chaos."

¤°¤•¤°¤

Hale Loft - Storage Closet

Angel and Kira were talking.

"It's not you," Angel told her. "It can't be. What I saw around you, it didn't look evil."

"But isn't that what a shapeshifter does?" Kira asked. "Isn't a Kitsune called a trickster spirit? It's supposed to trick you. How are you so sure, Angel? How do you know I'm not the bad guy?"

 ¤°¤•¤°¤

Living Room

Aiden, Ethan and Derek were talking.

"I wasn't gonna hurt Angel," Aiden told them.

"Not yet," Derek replied.

"Why do you think we're here, Derek?" Aiden asked. "For a study group? We're here to protect Scott."

"We're trying to fight for him," Ethan told him.

"I'm sure you are," Derek told them. "I'm sure you'd kill for him." He turned to face them. "But are you willing to die for him?"

Ethan and Aiden didn't answer, exchanging a look.

¤°¤•¤°¤

Warehouse

Allison, Ari, Adriana, Natalie, Isaac and Chris were meeting with Katashi and his henchmen.

Katashi held up his silver finger. "Do you know why I'm missing this finger?"

 "Penance," Ari answered.

Katashi looked at Ari in surprise. "Yes. There's a ritual called yubitsume. Do you know what it means?"

"Removing the joints of the little finger weakens your grip on a sword," Ari answered, trying to focus and remember everything. "When a katana is gripped properly, the little finger is the strongest."

"Hmm," Katashi hummed in approval. "This one is smart." Adriana rolled her eyes. "What else do you know?"

"Not nearly as much as she thinks she knows," Adriana told him. "Right, Ari?"

Ari tilted her head toward her. "Shut up, Adriana."

"Sorry, Ari," Adriana told her sarcastically.

Natalie knew the best thing to do was to ignore her. "Why did they take your finger?"

"They didn't take it," Katashi answered. "A Yakuza performs the ritual himself and offers it to his superior. It was penance for a mistake. And it wasn't my only one. I don't know what it was about the way I moved or stood that suggested to them that I was going to take them on. Because actually I was... preparing to run for my life." He looked at Chris. "That shot you fired saved me from looking like a coward before the survivors. For that humiliation, I wouldn't have to have given up my finger. I would've had to give up my head." He folded the cloth around his mask. Everyone stood. Katashi slid the mask over to Chris. "I wish I could give you the answer you need, Mr. Argent. I owe you more than my life. I owe you my honor. I will tell you one thing, however. If one Nogitsune is called, another will appear as punishment for being brazen enough to call one. If there Nogitsune is amoung you, let the Oni destroy their target." He looked toward Allison. "Even if it is your daughter."

Hale Loft - Derek's Room

Deaton was unconscious in the bed.

Scott was next to him, trying to keep his wound as stable as he could for the moment.

The loft started to shake.

Scott looked around in confusion.

   ¤°¤•¤°¤

Living Room

The Oni were hitting against the invisible barrier.

Aiden, Ethan, Derek and Tara were watching.

Kira and Angel walked in, looking at them in confusion.

"Tara, what are they doing?" Angel asked.

"Testing for weaknesses," Tara answered.

They continued to beat against the barrier, making objects fall and break.

Finally, they found a hole in the barrier, pushing against it.

"Guys?" Ethan asked. "We have a problem."

They pushed even harder. One pushed his hand inside.

They were about to come in.

¤°¤•¤°¤

¤°¤•¤°¤

Scott was downstairs with the others, on the phone. "Allison, please tell me that you have something. They're here. They're trying to get in. And it looks like they're gonna be able to do it."

"Okay, okay, listen," Allison told him. She was in the warehouse with the others. "They're Japanese demons. They're called Oni. They're looking for someone who's possessed. Someone with a dark spirit attached to them."

"A Nogitsune," Scott realized.

"How'd you know that?" Allison asked. "Scott?"

"Just... Just tell me what else," Scott told her.

"Okay, they won't hurt you," Allison told him. "They know you're supernatural, but once they do this check, once they realize you're not carrying with you this dark spirit, then they won't hurt you, I promise. All they're looking for is a Nogitsune."

Scott hung up.

"I'm right, aren't I?" Kira asked. "They're looking for me."

"They're looking for a dark spirit," Scott answered. "And I know it's not you."

"Guys, we're gonna have to do something," Derek told them.

The Oni finally broke through the barrier. They took the first step in.

The others were ready to fight.

"Don't do anything," Scott told them.

"Is he serious?" Aiden asked incredulously.

The Oni snarled as they stepped closer.

"I said, don't do anything," Scott repeated. The Oni stopped. Scott looked at Kira and Angel, nodding reassuringly. Kira and Angel sighed, stepping forward. Tara stood between them and the Oni. Scott knew that she was only trying to protect them, whispering softly. "Trust me."

Tara sighed, stepping out of the way, nodding.

Kira, Angel and Scott walked up to the Oni.

Three Oni stepped toward them, each placing a hand on their heads.

Kira, Angel and Scott lowered to their knees.

Aiden took a step forward.

Derek put his arm in front of his chest to stop him.

The Oni tilted their heads as they "checked" Kira, Angel and Scott, letting them go.

(Slow motion)

Kira fell to the floor, landing on her side.

Angel fell to the floor, landing on her side.

Scott fell to the floor, landing on his back.

They each had the symbol for self.

The Oni disappeared.

Tara knelt next to Scott.

Derek knelt next to Kira.

Ethan and Aiden knelt between the three of them.

"You're going to be okay," Ethan told them (echoing).

Kira and Angel were facing each other on the floor, breathing heavily.

Beacon Hills Memorial Hospital - Hallway

Stiles walked out of his hospital room after waking up, looking around. "Melissa?"

Stiles looked around, walking down the hallway.

  ¤°¤•¤°¤

Emergency Room

Derek, Tara and Scott got Deaton to the hospital.

Macey was giving instructions to the paramedics, leading them along toward the surgery room. "Hey, stab wound to the left chest. Possible collapsed lung. Pulse is weak."

Melissa stood next to Derek, Tara and Scott. "Stiles and Stacie are here, too."

"What?" Derek asked.

"They're not hurt, but I think they need someone," Melissa told them. "They need their friends."

Derek nodded. "We'll find them."

Melissa nodded.

(Song:) Dark In My Imagination - of Verona

Tara and Scott were looking for Stiles.

"I'm glad that Deaton's okay," Tara told him. "We'll make sure that Stiles and Stacie will be, too."

Scott nodded. "I know." He hesitated, no longer walking. "Hey, Tara..." Tara turned to face him in confusion. "You guys were back for... how long?"

Tara sighed, looking away. "Is that your real question, or..." She crossed her arms over her chest. "Or is it 'Why didn't you tell me you were back?'"

Scott tilted his head. "You know which one."

"I didn't tell you because I didn't know what to do," Tara answered. "So I decided not to do anything."

"You ran away from it," Scott told her.

"I didn't run, Scott," Tara told him. "The only times I run is when I'm running to face a danger, not away from it." Scott gave her a skeptical look. Tara spoke slowly to convince him. "I didn't run."

"Then what would you call it, Tara?" Scott asked.

Tara didn't answer, exhaling, walking past him and toward the doors at the end of the hallway.

¤°¤•¤°¤

Stacie's Hospital Room

Stacie was lying in bed, asleep.

Two of the Oni appeared in front of her, walking closer.

¤°¤•¤°¤

Hallway

Scott turned around after Tara. "Where are you going?"

"Anywhere but here," Tara answered flippantly.

"There you go running away again," Scott told her.

Tara stopped walking but didn't turn to face him. "You're about to be punched, Scott."

"See, whatever this is, whatever we are, it's not just changing me," Scott told her, slowly walking closer. "It's changing both of us."

Tara turned to face him. "What makes you think I'm changing?"

"Because the old Tara I know wouldn't warn somebody before she punched them," Scott answered.

Tara sighed. "You're right. I'd just do it."

"So go ahead," Scott told her. "Hit me. If it makes you feel angry enough and strong enough to be in control again. You might not know what's happening to you, but I do. And I know you wouldn't like the answer. So go ahead. Because the old you wouldn't think twice about doing it. Unless you don't think you can do it."

Tara gave him an amused look. "Oh, really?"

Scott chuckled, nodding. "Yeah, really. Do it, Tara. I dare you."

Tara gave in, tilting her head, not trying to hurt him, but sparring. She tried to punch him in the face. Scott caught her arm. Tara punched him in the face with the other before he could stop her.

¤°¤•¤°¤

Stacie's Hospital Room

Stacie felt the pain from Tara's punch, waking up instantly, sitting up, holding a hand to her cheek. She was startled out of her daze when she saw the two Oni warriors stalking toward her.

¤°¤•¤°¤

Surgery Room

Stiles walked in, looking around.

Two Oni appeared behind him.

Stiles turned to face them in confusion. He turned to run.

The fifth and final Oni appeared in front of him, making him stop.

¤°¤•¤°¤

Hallway

Scott and Tara were still sparring. Tara tried to punch him with either arm. Scott caught both, spinning her around. They paused for a moment, remaining close.

  ¤°¤•¤°¤

Stacie's Hospital Room

Stacie was still in the hospital bed, looking at the two Oni closing it on her.

Oni 1 let his eyes glow yellow-green.

Stacie opened her mouth to speak, but didn't say anything.

  ¤°¤•¤°¤

Surgery Room

The other three Oni surrounded Stiles.

Oni 3 reached toward Stiles to put a hand on his head.

 ¤°¤•¤°¤

Hallway

Scott and Tara were still close. Tara slowly backed away. Scott looked down. Tara suddenly tried to kick him. Scott raised an arm to block the move. Tara spun around to act as if she would backhand punch him in the face, but she didn't let the blow land because she knew that Stacie would feel his pain. Scott raised an arm to block the move anyway. Tara spun as if she would try to kick him. Scott ducked. They looked at each other, smirking. Tara turned, pushing Scott against the wall. Scott smiled a small smile. Tara let him go, starting to back away. Scott caught her by her arms, using her speed and strength to turn and push her against the wall, not harmful or forceful. He held her hands to the wall on either side of her head by her wrists.

 ¤°¤•¤°¤

  Stacie's Hospital Room

Stacie sat up in the bed.

Oni 1 reached toward her.

Stacie swung her casted arm through his head hard enough to break the mask over his face, reaching her other hand into the shadows to pull out a firefly, making Oni 1 fade into shadows. She stood, turning to face Oni 2.

 ¤°¤•¤°¤

Surgery Room

Oni 3 reached toward Stiles.

Stiles grabbed him by his hand. He glared at Oni 3, punching his hand into his chest, making it glow the same green-yellow color, ripping out a firefly, killing it.

 ¤°¤•¤°¤

Hallway

Scott still held Tara's wrists to the wall on either side of her head.

They looked at each other, smiling small smiles.

"You feel better now, Tara?" Scott asked.

"Yeah," Tara answered.

"Under control?" Scott asked.

"Not entirely," Tara answered. "Partly because you have me pinned to a wall."

Scott smiled a small smile.

They continued to look at each other, looking as if they were about to kiss.

 ¤°¤•¤°¤

Stacie's Hospital Room

Stacie was looking at another firefly in her hands.

The other Oni was gone.

Stacie raised her gaze, smirking. This was not Stacie. This was Void!Stacie.

 ¤°¤•¤°¤

Surgery Room

Stiles turned to face the final two Oni standing behind him with the darkest of looks. This was not Stiles. This was Void!Stiles.

¤°¤•¤°¤

Hallway

Scott and Tara heard something down the hallway, looking toward the noise. They exchanged a look.

Scott let Tara go.

They walked down the hallway.

Stacie's Hospital Room

Void!Stacie looked down at her left arm in the cast. She smirked, using enough strength to break the cast off of her arm, flexing it as if her arm was completely healed.

¤°¤•¤°¤

Surgery Room

Void!Stiles was facing away from the door.

Scott and Tara walked in.

"Stiles?" Scott asked. "You okay?"

Void!Stiles turned to face them. "Yeah, fine." He looked at Tara in confusion. "Tara. When the hell did you get back?"

"Nice to see you, too," Tara told him sarcastically.

Void!Stiles walked closer. "What's been going on?"

 ¤°¤•¤°¤

Stacie's Hospital Room

Void!Stacie picked up her cast, looking at it curiously.

Derek walked in. "Stacie. We've been looking for you."

Void!Stacie looked up. "Here I am. Surprised that you're here."

"Deaton got hurt," Derek told her. "We had to bring him here." He looked at her in confusion, noticing something off. "Are you okay?"

Void!Stacie showed him her cast. "I finally got this thing off. I'm better than okay."

Void!Stacie tossed the cast away.

"You just seem a little off," Derek told her.

"Well, I'm the anchor now," Void!Stacie told him. "I'm one bleeding, open wound of pain." Derek still wasn't entirely convinced that she was okay. Void!Stacie chuckled. "I never did say that I'm glad you're back. Never gave you a proper welcome, either."

"After not telling you that I was back, I didn't deserve it," Derek told her.

"Why didn't you?" Void!Stacie asked.

"Because everyone around me gets hurt," Derek answered. "I don't want that to be you. I wanted to protect you."

Void!Stacie wrapped her arms around his neck, kissing him deeply for a moment, savoring it seriously, pulling away. "Then you definitely deserve it."

Derek nodded cautiously. "Come on. Let's get you out of here."

Void!Stacie smiled a small smile. "Yes, please."

Derek turned around, walking out, leaving.

Void!Stacie smirked, following him out.
