chapter 11 - Alpha Pact

Outfits in the external link

From 3.10 "The Overlooked", in the loft, Scott moved his arm smoothly, tilting the jar, the mistletoe being poured over Jennifer in a straight, perfect line.

In the circle of mistletoe, Jennifer turned into the Darach, screeching.

Natalie: (voice over) "Previously on Worlds Colliding (Teen Wolf)"

Derek gripped Jennifer by her throat. "What are you?"

"The only person who can save your sister Cora," Jennifer told him.

From 3.10 "The Overlooked", in the Nemeton, Sheriff, Macey and Melissa were tied to posts.

Deucalion: (voice over from 3.10 The Overlooked) "Guardians, Scott."

From 3.10 "The Overlooked", on the roof of the hospital, Deucalion and Scott were talking.

"You help me catch her, and I'll help you get your mother, Arielle's mother and Stiles and Stacie's father back," Deucalion told him.

Tara realized what he was about to do. "Scott, don't do this. Don't go with him."

Scott looked at her. "Tell Stiles and Stacie I'm gonna find their dad. Tell Ari I'm gonna find her mom. I'll find a way to help your sister. I promise."

Tara shook her head.

Scott and Deucalion turned around, starting to walk away.

"Scott!" Tara told him.

From 3.10 "The Overlooked", in the elevator, Derek pushed the button for the next floor.

The elevator started to rise.

Jennifer stood behind him. "Derek, please look at me."

Derek looked into the reflection of the elevator doors.

The Darach stood there, screeching, attacking him.

Stacie and Stacie ran down the hall toward the elevator.

Stacie knelt next to Derek worriedly. "Derek?"

Stacie looked toward Stiles, at a loss for what to do.

Day One

Same Night - Beacon Hills Memorial Hospital - Elevator

Derek was still unconscious.

Stacie was desperately trying to wake him up. "Derek?" She slapped him in the face. "Derek, come on!" She slapped him in the face in another attempt to wake him up. "Derek, please. Oh, my God."

Stiles ran inside, kneeling next to them. "I couldn't find Tara. What's wrong, Stacie?"

"He won't wake up," Stacie answered.

Stiles looked at her worriedly. "Stacie, I think he's--"

"Don't say it," Stacie told him. "Don't say you think he's dead."

Stiles sighed. "Fine."

Tara ran inside, kneeling next to them. "Move."

Stiles backed away.

Tara reached back her hand, punching Derek in the face hard enough to wake him up.

Stacie sighed in relief, hanging her head.

 "Where is she?" Derek asked.

"Jennifer?" Tara asked. "Gone with Scott and Arielle's mothers."

"Tara, she took them?" Stiles asked incredulously.

"Yeah, and if that's not enough of a kick to the balls, Scott left with Deucalion, okay?" Tara asked. "Adriana found me and told me she convinced Arielle to leave before Deucalion manipulated her too. Adriana said she was gonna try to find them too."

"Whoa, Tara, wait, so Adriana's good, not bad?" Stiles asked.

"I don't know if Adriana knows what Adriana is," Tara told them.

Stacie shook her head, looking at Tara and Derek, thinking of the deal. "Right now, doesn't matter. What does is that we gotta get you two out of here. The police are coming right now, and we gotta get you the hell out of here." She started to help Derek up because he looked like he was gonna fall. "Whoa."

Derek remembered his other sister's situation. "What about Cora?"

Outside - Car

Isaac was in the driver's seat.

Ari was in the passenger seat.

Natalie was in the backseat with Cora and Peter.

"You see the twins anywhere?" Isaac asked. Ari scoffed. "You know what I mean."

"No," Ari answered.

"But I see the Argents," Peter told them, looking at Allison Chris.

The others followed his gaze.

¤•¤°¤•¤

Outside

Allison and Chris walked toward the car.

They heard a howl in the distance.

"What is that?" Allison asked.

Chris sighed. "Retreat."

¤•¤°¤•¤

Car

Isaac was in the driver's seat.

Ari was in the passenger seat.

Natalie was in the backseat with Cora.

"Not to bring up uncomfortable memories, but wasn't the last time you saw them the time you killed Kate and they burned you alive?" Isaac asked.

"He's gone, dumbass," Natalie told him.

Isaac looked into the backseat to see that Peter was gone.

¤•¤°¤•¤

Outside

Ari, Natalie and Isaac got out of the car, walking toward Allison and Chris.

"Where are the others?" Allison asked.

"I don't know," Isaac told them. "Scott, Stacie and Stiles went back for Tara, Derek and Jennifer. We had to get Cora out."

"What about Macey?" Chris asked. Ari looked down, swallowing. Chris slowly shook his head. "No."

"She never finished the last healer," Ari told them. "The anesthetic should've worn off by now. She has to be awake, and if she doesn't get medical care..."

Natalie exhaled.

Derek's car pulled up.

Derek and Tara got out of the car.

"Where's Scott, Stacie and Stiles?" Allison asked.

"Stiles and Stacie are still at the hospital," Derek answered, walking past, going to get Cora. "They're gonna hold off the cops for us." He pulled Cora out of the car. "We have to go right now."

Natalie closed the door, starting to follow him and Isaac toward Tara and their car.

"What about Scott and Melissa?" Chris asked.

Tara held the door for Derek. "Jennifer took Melissa just like she took Macey."

There was a long, long silence of disbelief, shock and denial.

Derek walked around them to the other side of the car.

"What about Scott?" Allison asked. "Tara? Tara, where's Scott?"

Tara sighed, turning to face them.

Beacon Hills Memorial Hospital - Waiting Room

Stiles and Stacie were sitting in two chairs at the side of the hallway.

The place was a crime scene.

Sirens were wailing.

Stiles and Stacie looked down the hallway toward where an FBI agent was walking toward them.

"You've gotta be kidding me," Stacie told him, leaning her head back against the wall.

Stiles sighed. "Oh, just perfect."

The FBI agent stopped in front of them. "More than one Stilinski at the center of this whole mess. What a shocker. Think you two can answer some questions without the usual level of sarcasm?"

"If you can ask the questions without the usual level of stupid," Stiles replied.

The agent forced a smile. "Where's your dad and why's no one been able to contact him?"

"We don't know," Stiles told him. "We haven't seen him in hours."

"Is he drinking again?" the agent asked.

Stiles sighed. "What do you mean, again? He never had to stop."

"But he did have to slow down," the agent told them. "Is he drinking like he used to?"

"All right, how about this?" Stacie asked. "Next time we see him, we'll give him a field sobriety test, okay? We'll do the alphabet, start with 'F', end with 'U'."

"How about you just tell me what the hell happened here?" the agent asked.

Stiles exhaled. "We don't know what happened here. We were stuck in the elevator the whole time."

"You weren't the ones who put the name on the doors, are you?" the agent asked.

Stiles and Stacie both looked at the agent in confusion. "What name?"

¤•¤°¤•¤

Hallway

The elevator doors closed, revealing ARGENT to be painted in red across the metal.

¤•¤°¤•¤

Scott looked up. He blinked. When he opened his eyes, they were glowing gold.

Scott levitated above the ground. Tyler Posey.

Allison was facing the side. She pulled up her bow, her face echoing, releasing the bow. Crystal Reed.

Hands reached up from the soil, reaching toward each other

Stiles stood next to his Jeep, walking forward. Dylan O'Brien

Stacie looked up, facing the right, a slow smile spreading across her face, in the track pose, her face echoing. She ran forward. Zoey Deutch

Ari and Adriana stood back to back. Ari looked to the left, holding her motorcycle helmet in her hands, her eyes glowing blue. Adriana looked to the right, tracing her double infinity tattoo on her wrist, her eyes glowing completely red. There was water sprinkles everywhere as they both looked up. Katherine McNamara.

Tara stood with her back toward you, looking over her shoulder, black blood covering her skin, her body reflecting each other. Victoria Justice.

On the back of Tara's hand, a triskele appeared. The spirals were black. The tip of one spiral was Beta blue. The tip of one spiral was Beta gold. The tip of one spiral was Alpha red. The intersection point was purple.

A black wolf howled.

Derek looked up, shirtless, his eyes closed, shifted, roaring, dust falling off of his body. Tyler Hoechlin.

A triskele appeared on Derek's back.

Lydia's hair covered her face, her hands held in front of her. She tossed her head back to get it to fall behind her head. Holland Roden

A double infinity sign tattoo appeared on Adriana's wrist.

Lydia's reflecting heads turned away from each other, screaming.

Two bands appeared over Scott's arm, the top band thicker than the other.

Tara's black blood covered body, her face hidden, reflected itself. She clawed a design into it across her stomach.

Scott stared ahead. His eyes glowed gold. He tilted his head down toward his chest.

Hale Loft - Living Room

Cora was lying on the couch, breathing heavily in pain.

Tara sat next to her, holding her hand, taking her pain until it looked like she herself was in pain.

Derek put his hand on Tara's hand to stop her from taking anymore.

Natalie and Isaac stood nearby.

"She's dying, isn't she, Tara?" Natalie asked.

"I don't know," Tara told them.

"So what are you guys gonna do?" Isaac asked.

"I don't know," Derek told them.

"Wanna figure something out?" Isaac asked. "'Cause while Ari, Stacie, Scott and Stiles were out there, trying to help people from being killed, you were in here, rolling around the sheets with the actual killer." Derek didn't answer. Tara didn't have to since Isaac didn't accuse her of anything. "Do you get how many people she's killed?"

Natalie was overwhelmed with emotion. "Erica and Boyd are dead, Cora's dying and you are doing nothing!"

Tara looked down at Cora.

Derek didn't do anything.

"Why'd you do this to us, Derek?" Isaac asked. "Was it all about the power? Were you bored?" He stepped closer, leaning down. "Were you lonely with Tara, the sister you didn't trust, and who didn't trust you, until now?"

Derek looked toward Natalie and Isaac. "Maybe." Isaac walked toward the door. Natalie started to follow. "I told Cora I wouldn't leave. I'll help the others when I figure out how to help her."

Natalie turned around. "There's no time!"

Isaac walked up to the door, putting a hand on the door handle. "The full moon's coming. The sheriff, Macey and Melissa are gonna be dead, so I'm gonna go try to help them." He slid the door open. Natalie stepped out first. Isaac turned to Derek and Tara. "You both can sit here and perfect the art of doing nothing."

¤•¤°¤•¤

Outside the Loft - Hallway

Isaac and Natalie walked down the stairs toward the elevator.

"Natalie, with everything going on, with what happened to Boyd and Heather, what's happening to Cora... what happened in the elevator... I want you to take it easy," Isaac told her. Natalie opened her mouth to argue. Isaac cut her off. "You went after the twins, Natalie. And if Kali hadn't wanted Jennifer and Stacie dead, you'd gone after her. Natalie, you look exhausted and really need to take a shower. I don't want the same thing happening to you, Natalie."

Natalie let out a long sigh. "Fine."

They looked at the elevator in front of them.

Natalie looked at Isaac, turning for the stairs, already walking down.

Isaac started to follow.

¤•¤°¤•¤

Hale Loft

Derek and Tara were still sitting next to Cora.

Peter walked downstairs. "I wouldn't take it personally. Anger is just a tool. They're using it as an excuse, shifting allegiance from one Alpha to another. In this rare circumstance, they have two other options. From you to Scott or from you to Arielle."

"They're not Alphas yet," Tara told them.

"Adriana could purposely let Arielle become the Alpha she's meant to be," Peter told them. "It's only a matter of time until Adriana gives it to her, isn't it? As for Scott... He's on his way, isn't he?"

¤•¤°¤•¤

Argent Apartment - Study

Stacie, Ari, Allison, Stiles and Chris walked in.

"The word is guardian, Allison," Chris told her. "More than anyone, you know that's a role I haven't exactly lived up to lately."

"But she took Scott and Ari's mothers and Stiles and Stacie's father," Allison told him. "It can't be a coincidence."

"Yeah, also consider the fact that someone put your name up in large block letters on the elevator doors," Stiles told him. "That kinda felt like a warning to me."

"Look," Chris told them. "I'm sure Jennifer took Macey because she had never finished the healers, but I--"

"Then why go after her twice?" Ari asked.

"I don't know," Chris told them.

"I think that it might be Morrell," Allison told them. "She knows a lot more than she lets on, and she might even be trying to help us."

"Well, she needs to get on that faster, okay?" Ari asked.

"Seeing as though the lunar eclipse is less than two freaking nights away," Stacie agreed.

"Arielle, Stacie, don't give up hope," Chris told them.

Stacie sat down, looking down sadly. "They could already be dead."

"I don't think so," Chris told them. "There's something about Jennifer's tactics. It's like she's still positioning, still moving pieces into place."

"And you're one of them," Allison told him.

"Then let's not wait around to see her next move," Chris told them. He grabbed the map, starting to unfold it. "Everything she's done has been on a turrleric current. So, Melissa, Macey and the Sheriff have to be somewhere on one of those currents, right?" Ari leaned on the desk next to Allison. Stiles and Stacie were still sitting down. "Stiles. Stacie. If we're gonna find them, we need your help."

"You seriously wanna go after her?" Stiles asked. "I mean, what if she just takes you, like the others, huh?" Chris grabbed a gun. "I mean, no offense, but what's the difference between you and them?"

Chris loaded the gun, making it click. "I'm carrying a .45. Maybe she can heal from a shot to the leg, a few slashes to the face, but personally, I'd like to see how she holds up with half her skull blown off." He put the gun down on the desk, leaning against it. "We have one priority right now, and that's to find Melissa, Macey and your dad. We've got a map and every clue that we need to figure this out. The only thing we don't have is time, which is why I need all of you."

Stacie sighed, finally looking up. "Where do we start?"

¤•¤°¤•¤

¤•¤°¤•¤

Chris, Allison, Stacie, Ari and Stiles were standing around the desk.

"The place where the sacrifices have been committed have usually been different from where the bodies have been found," Chris told them. "I think the placement has to do with the strength of the current, so there's the school, the animal clinic, the bank."

"Wait a sec," Stiles told them. "She wouldn't use the same place twice, would she?"

"Only if she didn't succeed the first time," Chris answered.

"Scott's boss and Ari's mom," Allison told them.

"Deaton and Macey," Chris told them. "They were her only failures. That could mean something."

"That's just two places so far," Ari told them. "We're gonna need a lot more help."

"What about Lydia?" Stacie asked, looking at Ari.

"Lydia?" Chris repeated. "What can she do?"

"Uh, Lydia's got sort of a talent," Ari explained. "She somehow ended up finding a couple of the bodies, um, without actually looking for them."

"What is she?" Chris asked. "Psychic?"

Ari looked at Stacie, using her words from when they had been trying to save Deaton. "She's something."

Day Two

Morning - McCall House - Hallway

(Song:) Come To This - Natalie Taylor

Natalie walked out of the bathroom into the hallway. She had just taken a shower, in a change of clothes. Her hair was still slightly wet. She looked despaired, devastated but numb at the same time. She slowly walked down the hallway as if she didn't realize what she was doing. Like she wasn't aware.

  ¤•¤°¤•¤

Natalie's Guest Bedroom

Natalie slowly walked inside, closing the door behind her, leaning against it, gazing off. She was thinking about everyone that she had lost. Her mother, her other brother Camden, her father, Erica, Heather, Boyd. She was thinking about the fact that Cora was dying and everything that was going on right then. She was thinking about Adriana having Stacie, Allison and herself keep so many secrets from everyone they loved because what was happening could get them all killed. She felt as if she was going to break into millions of little, tiny pieces, tears in her eyes. She started to cry, the first time she let herself show her true, devastated emotions since Boyd had died instead of turning it into anger and rage. She started to sob, tilting her head down toward her chest, sliding down the door to the floor, wrapping her arms around her knees, laying her head against her arms. She sat there, crying, letting it out, feeling a heaviness just disappear as she did.

 Hale Loft - Living Room

Cora was lying on the couch, unconscious.

Tara was sitting next to her, taking Cora's pain again. She took too much, putting herself through pain, breathing heavily.

Derek grabbed Tara by the wrist, making her stop. "Tara. Tara, stop."

"Careful," Peter told them.

"Don't worry," Derek told him. "We know going too far could kill us."

"That's not exactly what I meant," Peter told them.

Derek and Tara looked toward him in confusion.

Argent Apartment - Study

(Song:) Genius - DJ Brownie vs. Paul Grogan

Allison and Chris unloaded all of their weapons, putting the guns, the knives, the crossbows, the bows and arrows, and everything else you could think of onto the table.

Stacie was watching them, unsurprised.

Stiles and Ari watched them in confusion, clearly surprised.

"Whoa," Stiles told them. "I thought you guys were retired."

"Retired, yes," Chris told them. "Defenseless, no." Stiles and Ari nodded with expressions that said no kidding. "Make sure your phones are on. If you hear from Scott, you let us know immediately."

Stacie sighed, taking her phone out, looking at it. "Yeah, I'm thinking that's gonna be kind of unlikely."

"All of you remember that he's only doing what he thinks is right," Chris told them.

Ari was looking at the door.

Isaac walked in. "I can't shoot a gun or use a crossbow... but, well, I'm getting pretty good with these."

Isaac showed them the claws on his hand.

Ari managed a small, reassured smile, though she was still mostly expressionless and worried.

Hale Loft

Cora was laying on the couch, unconscious.

Peter, Tara and Derek stood nearby, talking.

"I've heard it's something only an Alpha can do, and with good reason," Peter told them.

"Which is?" Tara asked impatiently.

"You know normal wolves never abandon an injured member of the pack," Peter told them. "They care for it. They bring it food from a kill and then regurgitate it into the mouth of the injured wolf. They even give it physical and emotional comfort by intensely grooming it. In a way, they can do more than just ease pain. They can be instrumental in healing their own."

"If you're trying to tell me I can save her, just tell me," Derek told him.

"I'm telling you... I've heard it's possible," Peter told them.

"How?" Derek asked.

"It's that spark of power that makes you an Alpha," Peter told him. "When you take her pain, she draws on the power that provides you with those special gifts. The power that heightens your senses, your strength. The power that transforms your body. As an Alpha, you have that bit of extra, that spark that intensifies the color of your eyes from a bright yellow into a searing red."

"If I can save her--" Derek started.

"If," Peter told him. "If. I didn't say it works every time." He turned to look out the window. "It could just as easily kill you."

Derek looked at Tara.

Tara looked worried but unwilling to lose Cora again after just getting her back.

Derek sighed. "How do I do it?"

Peter still had his back to them, smirking.

"By taking her pain?" Tara asked.

"And then some, Tara," Peter answered. "Because there's a cost."

Lydia's House - Lydia's Room

(Song:) Broken - S. Carey

Lydia and her mother were sitting at the vanity dresser and mirror, looking at the bruising around her neck from when Jennifer had tried to kill her.

"Okay, sweetheart," her mother told her. "This is not a problem. Having gotten my share of hickies in high school, I developed some patented cover-up methods." She reached for the makeup on the dresser. Lydia reached out to stop her. "If you don't want to go to school, honey, you don't have to."

"That's not it," Lydia told her. "It's just... someone tried to strangle me, and I survived. I don't need to hide that."

Her mother smiled a small, proud smile, brushing back Lydia's hair. "No. No, you don't." She kissed Lydia on the head. "But we're still gonna do your hair, right?"

Lydia smiled. "Of course we are doing my hair."

They laughed.

Beacon Hills First National Bank - The Vault

Chris, Allison, Ari and Isaac walked in.

"It's empty," Allison told them.

"Be careful, anyway," Chris told them.

The stun gun flared in his hands.

Isaac looked at him in confusion. "I thought you only used those on Werewolves."

"I do," Chris told them, turning to Ari, pushing the stun gun into her stomach, electrocuting her, making her gasp in pain and fall to the floor, taking out another to do the same thing to Isaac, making him fall to the floor next to Ari.

Allison looked at him in shock.

Chris handcuffed Allison to one of the bars.

"What the hell are you doing?" Ari asked incredulously.

"I'm sorry, but you're just gonna have to trust me on this," Chris told them. He took out a gun, walking toward the middle of the vault. "I knew for a long time that she didn't just operate on the currents. She was in sync with them."

Chris turned to face the door, dropping the gun.

The door opened.

Jennifer walked in, smirking. "Now, this is a sacrifice."

(Darach's Theme Song)

Ari knew that she was about to take Chris, and that he was going to let her, trying to stand, but she was still too weak and still healing, watching in horror.

  ¤•¤°¤•¤

Lydia's House - Living Room

Lydia was sitting in a chair.

Stiles and Stacie standing in front of her.

Lydia shook her head. "I don't believe it. Scott can't really be with them. He can't be. What can I do? I mean, I get that I'm some kind of, like, human Geiger counter for death, but... I don't know how to turn it on and off yet. All I know is that she tried to kill me because of..."

"Because of what?" Stiles asked. "Hey, Lydia, what?"

Lydia was thinking, confused. "When she called me a Banshee, she was surprised by it. What if that's not why she tried to kill me?"

"Then why did she?" Stiles asked.

Stacie sighed deeply. "That's what we need to find out."

  ¤•¤°¤•¤

Beacon Hills First National Bank - The Vault

Ari and Isaac had healed enough to stand on their own.

Ari was standing next to Allison, breaking the cuffs that was chaining her to the bar.

"Why did he do that?" Allison asked.

"I don't know," Ari told her.

"We need to go," Isaac told them. "Okay, we need help." Allison didn't move. It looked like Ari couldn't move either. Isaac walked closer to them. "Guys. We have to go."

Allison looked at Ari. "They're all gonna die. Aren't they?"

Allison and Ari both had tears in their eyes, looking at each other sadly, embracing.

Isaac looked at them sadly in sympathy, taking out his phone to send a message.

  ¤•¤°¤•¤

Hale Loft - Living Room

Cora was still lying on the couch, unconscious.

Tara was sitting next to her, looking at her worriedly.

Peter and Derek were standing nearby, watching them.

Peter looked at Derek. "I can understand not seeing a downside to this, as you haven't exactly been Alpha of the year, but think about what else you'd be losing."

"I don't care about power," Derek told them. "Not anymore."

"What about the power to fight back?" Peter asked. "Correct me if I'm wrong, but Kali's ultimatum still stands. The full moon is tomorrow night, and if you couldn't beat her as an Alpha, how do you think you're gonna fare as a Beta?"

"I don't care," Derek told them.

"What if this was exactly what Jennifer was hoping for?" Peter asked. "She would know the only way for you to save Cora would be giving up your power. Maybe that's what she was gonna have you do at the hospital."

Tara looked up impatiently, getting tired of Peter's games. "Why? You're the one who told us this. Now you're trying to talk him out of it?"

"Tara, I'm trying to get him to see both sides of the equation, the good and the bad, the pros and the cons," Peter answered. "And Jennifer would do that so he wouldn't be able to face the Alphas without her, Tara." He looked at Derek. "She wants you to come to her. It's all apart of her little seduction, and she is still seducing you. She needs you on her side."

Derek ignored him, looking at Tara.

Tara looked at him worriedly.

  ¤•¤°¤•¤

Beacon Hills High School - Hallway

Stiles and Lydia walked downstairs.

"Aiden's not texting me back," Lydia told him. Stiles looked around at the students in the hallway. "Okay, well, maybe we could just... we could go over there and..." Stiles' phone vibrated. He pulled it out, looking at the text in shock. "What? Oh, God. What is it now?"

"It's from Isaac," Stiles told her. "Jennifer, she t... she has Allison's father. She took him. She's got all of them now."

"There's still time," Lydia told him. Stiles was starting to panic, overwhelmed with emotion. His heart was pounding. "We still have time, right?" Stiles was still panicking, looking around, gasping for breath. "Stiles?" Lydia's voice echoed through his mind. "Are you okay? What is it? What's wrong? Stiles."

Stiles turned to face Lydia, still breathing heavily. "I think I'm having a panic attack."

  ¤•¤°¤•¤

Nemeton

Melissa, Macey, Sheriff and Chris were all tied to posts, facing each other.

Chris gasped awake, looking around.

"You okay over there?" Sheriff asked.

"Chris?" Macey asked. Chris looked toward Macey . "Are you all right?"

"Yeah," Chris answered. "Oh."

Chris looked around in recognition, chuckling nervously, hanging his head.

"Is it just me, or has somebody been here before?" Macey asked.

"Years ago," Chris answered, reaching for the ankle knife in his boot.

"Hate to disappoint you, but we watched her take your ankle knife," Sheriff told him.

Chris continued, reaching for the other sleeve.

"And the knife that's in your sleeve," Melissa told him.

Chris reached for the other sleeve.

"And the switchblade in your other sleeve," Macey told him.

Chris groaned, reaching for the last weapon that Jennifer also took.

Jennifer walked in. "And the taser in your jacket pocket." She walked closer to Chris. "Argent... The French word for silver." She knelt next to Chris, taking a cloth, trying to clean away the blood she caused to spill. Chris jerked away from her touch. "Ah ah ah." Jennifer turned his chin to face her. "Interesting how truth becomes altered by legend. When it's not actually the metal silver that kills Werewolves, but the family. What's the Argent code again? 'We hunt those who hunt us'? I hope you don't mind if I barrow it for a while, since I've been hunted myself."

"Don't pretend like we have the same cause," Chris told her. "I don't kill innocent people."

"That's why they call it a sacrifice, and I wish it worked another way," Jennifer told him. "But think about what you're doing. You are making this town... even this world... safer for your children. Well..." She chuckled, looking toward Melissa and Macey. "Most of them."

Melissa and Macey glared at her.

Beacon Hills Memorial Hospital - Boys' Locker Room

Stiles and Lydia walked in.

Stiles was still having a panic attack, breathing heavily.

"Okay, come on," Lydia told him. "Come on." Stiles slid down a locker to the floor. Lydia knelt in front of him. "Just try and think about something else. Anything else."

"Like what?" Stiles asked.

"Uh, happy things," Lydia answered. "Good things. Uh, friends, family." Stiles gave her a look, gasping for breath. Lydia winced. "Oh, I mean... not family."

"Oh, God," Stiles told her.

"Okay, uh, just... try and slow your breathing," Lydia told him.

Stiles gasped for breath, shaking his head. "I can't. I can't."

Stiles continued to hyperventilate.

Lydia placed a hand on either of his cheeks. "Shh, shh. Stiles, look at me. Shh, look at me. Shh, Stiles."

(Song:) Start of Time - Gabrielle Aplin

Lydia realized what she could do to help him, kissing him passionately. Stiles left his eyes open in shock, realizing what she was doing, closing his eyes, continuing to kiss her, calming down. After a moment, they pulled away, remaining close, leaving their eyes closed. They drifted further apart, opening their eyes to look at each other.

"How'd you do that?" Stiles asked.

Lydia hesitated, not knowing what to say at first. "I, uh, I read once that... holding your breath could stop a panic attack. So, when I kissed you... you held your breath."

"I did?" Stiles asked.

"Yeah," Lydia answered. "You did."

"Thanks," Stiles told her. "Really smart."

Lydia chuckled.

They continued to look at each other.

Hallway

The hallway was mostly deserted.

Stacie and Natalie were standing at the lockers.

Stacie was leaning against the lockers. "Now I know what you felt when you were freaking out after what happened, Natalie."

Natalie sighed. "Not fun, is it, Stacie?"

Stacie shook her head, tears in her eyes. "After Boyd, all we wanted to do was be there for you, Natalie. But you kept pushing us away."

Natalie nodded sadly. "I know, Stacie. I didn't want anyone to see how bad I'd gotten. Because I felt weak and lonely. But I promise, I'm not gonna do that to you."

"Natalie, do you think they're really gonna die?" Stacie asked.

Adriana walked closer, showing them her wrist to show them the double infinity sign tattoo on her wrist to let them know who she was. "Not if I have anything to do with it."

"What the hell are you doing here, Adriana?" Natalie asked. "Are you trying to get caught?"

"It's school, Natalie," Adriana told her. "Okay? Everyone who sees me here is gonna think that I'm Ari. Speaking of, what did you tell Ari? What does she know?"

"We didn't say anything to her, Adriana," Stacie answered. "Neither did Allison. Jennifer and Peter did in the hospital you and the other Alphas trapped us in."

"Don't look at me like that, Stacie," Adriana told her. "I told each of you that I'd do anything, pretend anything to convince them I am still on their side."

"Yeah, Adriana, you're doing an amazing job," Stacie told her sarcastically.

"I'm sorry," Adriana told them. "Okay? I'm just trying to make sure that no one dies." She looked at Natalie sadly. "No one else, I mean."

Natalie looked down. "Are you still gonna help me with Kali, Adriana?"

"I'm gonna make sure she pays for what she did, yes," Adriana answered. "But I'm not willing to let you get hurt in the process."

Natalie sighed. "That's all I need to know, Adriana. You, still pretending to be on their side, doing what they want you to do while still helping us any way that you can... it's smart, Adriana."

"Yeah?" Adriana asked. "Well, it looks like everyone needs a session with the school guidance counselor, Natalie. You haven't seen Morrell lately, have you, Stacie?"

Morrell's Office

Danielle was sitting at the desk.

Adriana, Natalie and Stacie walked in.

"Are you here for Ms. Morrell?" Stacie asked.

"No, I thought this was gym class," Danielle told them sarcastically.

"Sweetheart, we're not in the mood for funny," Adriana told her. "Do you know where she is?"

"If I did, I wouldn't be waiting here for 20 minutes," Danielle told them. "So, how about you three back out the door and wait your turn?"

"We're not here for a session," Natalie told her.

"Well, I am," Danielle told them. "And I've got some serious issues to work on."

"Is it about Heather?" Stacie asked. Natalie and Adriana looked at her in confusion. "Danielle here is Heather's friend."

Natalie and Adriana were surprised.

"I was Heather's friend," Danielle told them. "We've been working on that issue three times a week."

"Hold on," Stacie told her. "Did you say Ms. Morrell's 20 minutes late?"

Danielle nodded. "And I don't know why, either. She's always on time."

Stacie looked at Natalie and Adriana. "I was seeing her at the beginning of the semester. She was never late."

"Then she's not late," Adriana told them. "She's missing. And we're not the only ones who think she knows something."

"Then I want to know what she knows," Natalie told them.

Danielle looked at Natalie in recognition, standing. "You're Natalie. You're the girl who was missing that was found."

"Yeah," Natalie answered.

"All of you were friends with Heather and Adriana," Danielle told them. She looked at Adriana, thinking she was Ari. "Your sister, who's still missing."

"Technically, yeah," Adriana answered.

"All right, you can have my session," Danielle told them. "You all have bigger issues."

Danielle grabbed her bag, walking out, leaving.

Adriana closed the door, starting to go through the files in the room. "Oh, if she only knew I'm Adriana. Then she would know I have so much more problems than my sister does."

"Adriana, what are you doing?" Stacie asked.

"Trying to find Morrell," Adriana answered.

"Those files are private, Adriana," Natalie told her.

"Yeah, Adriana, Natalie's kind of right," Stacie told her.

Adriana handed a file to Stacie to shut her up about the private files, knowing that it would distract her. "That one's yours, Stacie."

Stacie took the file. "Let me see that."

Adriana found a file, taking it out. "This is Lydia's. This is her drawing."

"Yeah, I know," Stacie told her. "It's a tree."

"Yeah, good, too," Natalie told them.

"No, but that's the same one, though," Stacie told them.

"Same as what?" Natalie asked.

"The same one I always see her drawing in class," Stacie answered.

"So, she likes drawing trees," Natalie told them.

Adriana looked through all of the drawings in the file, revealing that they were all the same tree. "No, but it's the exact same one. There, see?"

"What is this?" Natalie asked.

Adriana looked at the drawing in recognition, turning the drawing upside down to look at it as a tree stump, realizing what it was. "I know where they are."

Hallway

Adriana, Natalie and Stacie walked through the hallway.

Stiles and Lydia walked toward them.

Lydia looked at Adriana knowingly. "Hey, Adriana." Adriana opened her mouth to speak. "Don't even bother trying to deny that you are Adriana, Adri, because Ari wouldn't be caught dead wearing that..." She grabbed Adriana by the arm, pushing up her sleeve to reveal the double infinity tattoo to prove to her that she knew it was her. "Adriana."

Adriana smirked. "Hello to you, too, Lydia. I know where they are."

"What?" Stiles asked.

"It's the Nemeton," Adriana told them. "That's where she's keeping them. It has to be."

"But where is the Nemeton?" Natalie asked.

"I don't know," Adriana told them. "I haven't been there before, but I think Morrell might know where it is. I have to go find her. Pretend that I'm still on their side."

"All right, come on," Natalie told her.

Adriana and Natalie walked away, leaving.

Lydia turned after them. "Adri, wait."

The agent from the night before walked toward Stiles, Lydia and Stacie. "Stilinskis."

Stiles groaned in annoyance, looking at Lydia. "All right, look, go to the loft, okay, talk to Derek, Tara and Peter. They've been there before, so they'll know where it is. Tell them it's the root cellar, all right? They'll know."

Lydia walked away, leaving.

Stiles and Stacie turned to face the agent in annoyance.

"Did you know your dad's car is in the school parking lot and has been since last night?" the agent asked.

Stacie shook her head. "No. What does that mean?"

"It means he's officially missing," the agent answered.

Stiles and Stacie looked at each other, sighing.

Empty Classroom

Stiles and Stacie were sitting on two front row middle desks.

The agent stood in front of them. "Guys, why am I getting the feeling you both know something that could help us find your dad?"

"If we did, why would we not tell you?" Stiles asked.

"If it meant helping your dad, why wouldn't you?" the agent asked.

Stacie was trying to confuse him. "So you're asking us to tell you what we wouldn't not tell you?"

The agent hesitated, shaking his head. "First, I have no idea what you just said. Second, how about you just help me help you?"

Stacie looked at Stiles.

Stiles got the hint, playing along with Stacie's plan. "Well, I don't know how to help you help us tell you something that would help you if we don't know it. Do you, Stacie?"

Stacie shook her head, pressing her lips together. "Nope."

The agent narrowed his eyes at them, looking between them, pointing from Stiles to Stacie. "Are you two doing this on purpose?"

Stacie sighed an annoyed sigh. "We don't know anything, okay? Can we just go?"

"Where are your other friends?" the agent asked.

"You mean Scott?" Stiles asked.

"I mean Scott," the agent answered, pulling out a note pad looking thing, flipping it open. "I mean Natalie and Isaac Lahey, Allison Argent, Arielle Martin, these twins Ethan and Aiden." He flipped it closed, putting it in his inner jacket pocket. "I've been told your whole little clique didn't show up at school today."

Stacie shook her head. "What clique?"

"We don't have a clique," Stiles agreed.

"Guys, come on," the agent told them. "There's been a pretty disturbing amount of violent activity in this county in the last few months, several murders tied to this school. I don't know what's going on here, but it's serious. And... Hey." Stiles and Stacie looked up. "Your dad is missing." They didn't answer. "Fine. But I don't want you going home alone. You have someone you guys can stay with tonight?"

They heard Deaton's voice. "They're with me."

Stiles and Stacie looked toward Deaton.

Hale Loft

Lydia was standing at the door.

Peter pulled the door open, looking at Lydia.

Lydia was in shock from seeing him for the first time since she brought him back to life. "You."

Peter nodded. "Me."

Lydia glared at him. "You."

Peter sighed. "Me. Derek, Tara, we have a visitor."

Night - Beacon Hills Preserve - Woods

Morrell was running through the woods. She came to a stop, looking over her shoulder. She heard howling in the distance, looking worried and scared, continuing to run.

Ethan and Aiden were chasing after her, flipping over a fallen tree, landing on the other side in crouches.

"This way," Ethan told him.

They continued to run.

Elsewhere

Adriana, Scott and Deucalion were standing together.

Deucalion used his wolf eyes to watch a firefly.

"It's a firefly," Adriana told him.

"Unusual for this region," Deucalion told them.

"It's because of Jennifer, isn't it?" Scott asked. "Just before all this started, a deer crashed into Lydia's car. The cats went crazy at the animal clinic. Birds flew into the high school. That was her."

"They say animals can sense natural disasters when they're about to happen," Deucalion told them. "Maybe they can sense supernatural ones, as well."

"Does she scare you?" Scott asked.

Adriana sighed. "She concerns me if she's willing to kill that many innocent people for her cause, people like Ari's and my mother. And yours. And Stiles and Stacie's father. And Allison's."

"Are you willing to kill innocent people?" Scott asked.

Adriana stood behind Deucalion, looking at Scott.

Scott looked at her knowingly.

"I'll kill any living thing that gets in my way," Deucalion told them, looking toward Adriana significantly, walking away.

Scott was beginning to realize the big deal with all of the secrecy between Adriana, Allison, Stacie and Natalie, and why they hadn't wanted anyone else to know, because if it had gotten back to Deucalion or Kali, they would be in serious danger. He looked at Adriana sympathetically.

Adriana gave him a significant look, putting a finger over her lips.

Scott nodded understandingly.

Adriana followed Deucalion.

Scott followed.

Hale Loft - Living Room

Cora was still lying on the couch, unconscious.

Tara was sitting next to her.

Derek was sitting nearby in a chair.

Lydia and Peter were standing nearby, though Lydia stood far away from him.

"You don't know where it is?" Lydia asked. "But Stiles, Stacie and Natalie said you'd been there."

Peter gestured to Derek and himself. "We have. But after a few memorable experiences there, Talia... Derek and Tara's mother and my older sister... decided that she didn't ever what us going back. She knew how dangerous it was and took the memory of its location from us."

"Tara?" Lydia asked.

"Don't look at me like that," Tara told her. "I've never been there. I have no idea where it is."

Lydia sighed worriedly. "But then how are we supposed to find it?"

Preserve

Morrell was running away from Ethan and Aiden. She came to a stop in a clearing, turning around, throwing Mountain Ash over her head. The powder fell down around her in a perfect circle, protecting her.

Ethan and Aiden ran into the clearing, running into the barrier, making it glow. The barrier pushed them back, making the fall to the ground. They growled, standing.

There was a fallen tree nearby.

Adriana placed both hands on the truck of the tree, cartwheeling over it, landing on the other side. (slow motion)

Kali jumped through the cover of the trees, landing on the ground in a crouch, holding a hand above her head behind her for balance, looking up, growling.

Morrell was obviously worried about her safety, but she refused to show them fear.

Ethan, Aiden, Kali and Adriana walked closer, surrounding Morrell from all sides.

  ¤•¤°¤•¤

  ¤•¤°¤•¤

Aiden took a step to the side, closer to Ethan.

Deucalion and Scott walked closer.

"How did you know, Marin?" Deucalion asked. "That we'd come for you?"

"Because Jennifer and I are the same," Morrell answered. "And I know you've always been suspicious of us. Of what we can do."

"With good reason," Kali told her, circling around her.

Adriana started to circle around her, smirking deviously to play the part she used to be. "We know you sent that girl. The one who helped Isaac. The one Ari helped."

"What was her name again?" Deucalion asked.

"Braedan," Morrell answered. "And I sent her to do what I've always done. Maintain balance."

"What do you know about Jennifer?" Kali asked.

"Nothing more than you know," Morrell answered. She looked at Scott. "This isn't you, Scott. Go back to your friends."

"He can decide what's right for himself," Deucalion told her.

"Not without all the information," Morrell told him. "Have you told him everything you've done? How you've piled up bodies in a narcisstically psychotic effort to form your perfect pack?" She looked at Kali. "Bodies that include Ennis, by the way." Kali, Aiden, Ethan and Adriana looked at Deucalion in surprise. "My brother saved him. He was alive when Deucalion went in to see him. He wants you to go after Derek, Kali, to force his decision. If he joins the pack, it paves the way for Scott and Arielle."

"The lies people will tell when they're begging for their life," Deucalion told them

Morrell nodded to Kali. "Ask him."

Deucalion uncapped his cane, showing the spear that lied beneath, throwing the cane into Morrell's shoulder.

Morrell started to fall, trailing her foot through the circle of Mountain Ash to break the protective seal.

Kali growled viciously.

Scott ran to Morrell's side.

Ethan and Aiden growled.

Adriana walked closer.

Scott looked at the Alphas, holding his hand toward them. "Hey, back off." Adriana looked relieved, though she wouldn't let anyone see. Scott slowly but steadily pulled the cane out of Morrell's shoulder, making her groan in pain, throwing the cane to the ground. "I'm not gonna let them kill you, but if you know something, if you know where they are..."

"The Nemeton," Morrell told them. "You find that, you'll find Jennifer. Find the Nemeton."

Adriana had already known that was where they were, but she didn't know where the Nemeton was, sighing in annoyance and impatience.

Nemeton

Sheriff, Melissa, Macey and Chris were still tied to their posts, facing each other.

Chris was struggling to break free.

"I don't wanna kill your optimism or anything, but, you know, the three of us have been trying to do the exact same thing for hours," Melissa told him.

"You been tied up before?" Sheriff asked.

Chris exhaled. "Many times."

"What is that, uh, part of being a Werewolf hunter?" Sheriff asked.

Chris froze, looking at him, surprised he knew the truth of this town. He looked at Macey, knowing that she had told him.

Macey smiled, shrugging. "We tried to download him on as much as we could."

"Yeah, I was starting to feel a little bit left out," Sheriff told them

"You knew," Chris told him. "I remember meeting you once, before you were the sheriff. You questioned me about a body. You knew something was up. You just weren't ready to believe it."

"You're right," Sheriff told him. Melissa looked toward him curiously. "There was a night eight years ago... the night my wife died." Macey looked down sadly at the mention of one of her old best friends. "I was at the end of a shift, and a call came in. There had been a pile-up, and a young woman... she was a teenager, actually. She was trapped under an overturned car. We had to wait to wait for the paramedics. We were never getting her out. But I was able to hold her hand. She knew she was gonna die. But I just kept telling her, 'No, no, listen. The paramedics are on their way.' And then I remember, her hand suddenly gripped mine so tightly that I... I literally thought she was gonna break the bones. And she looked me in the eye, and she said... 'If you wanna be with her go, now.' And I knew she was talking about my wife. But then the other part of my brain... The part that looks for clues, for fingerprints, for logical connections... That part told me that there is no way that this girl could possibly know about Claudia. And so I stayed. I stayed until the paramedics pulled her out. Until her heart stopped beating and they declared her dead. When I finally got to the hospital... I saw Stiles' arms around Stacie as she cried into his shoulder, because... They were with Claudia when she died. But I wasn't. I wasn't with her because I didn't believe. I just did not believe."

Melissa looked at him sadly in sympathy.

Macey and Chris looked at each other somberly.

Beacon Hills Animal Clinic - Backroom

Stiles, Stacie, Ari, Allison, Lydia, Isaac and Deaton were talking.

Lydia and Ari stood next to each other. Stacie and Stacie were leaning against the table. Allison was standing next to Stacie. Isaac was standing a few feet away from Deaton.

"It has to be on a telluric current, or maybe even at the axis of two or where they all intersect," Ari told them.

Stacie shook her head. "I just know it's where Derek took Paige to die."

"My dad and Gerard were there once," Allison told them. "But Gerard said it was years ago and that he couldn't remember where it was. My dad obviously isn't here to tell us."

"Yeah, ours either," Stiles told them, looking at Stacie.

"Then how do we find this place?" Isaac asked.

"There might be a way," Deaton told them.  "But it's dangerous." He looked at Stiles, Stacie, Allison and Ari. "We're gonna need Scott."

Street

Stiles, Stacie, Ari and Deaton stood next to the Jeep.

Scott and Adriana walked toward them.

Stiles looked suspiciously at Adriana. "So, what are you on our side? Or just confused on which side you're on? I mean, seriously, Adriana."

"I'm pretending to be on their side, because you need someone on the inside to help take them down," Adriana answered.

"Adriana, you had to keep it away from me," Ari told her.

"I'm sorry, Ari," Adriana told her. "But, yeah, I had to. I had to keep the people who knew to a minimum. I'm only telling you now because the lunar eclipse is tomorrow, and that is when all of this is gonna go down. I couldn't risk any of this getting back to the Alphas."

"And they don't know," Scott told them. He looked at Stiles, Deaton and Stacie. "How'd you guys find out?"

"Lydia," Stacie answered. "You?"

"Morrell," Adriana answered. "None of the other Alphas know where it is either."

"So, if this works, are you guys gonna tell them?" Stiles asked.

"We can't stop Jennifer without them," Scott told them.

"And we also can't stop them without Jennifer," Adriana told them.

Adriana and Stacie looked at each other knowingly.

Stiles looked between them with suspicion. "Stacie, does this have to do what you and Natalie have been hiding for the past couple of weeks?"

"Wha--Natalie and I are not hiding any--" Stacie started.

"Stacie, you and Natalie are both really bad liars," Scott told her.

Stacie exhaled, giving up.

Adriana shrugged. "I actually forgot how much Stacie and Natalie sucked at lying. But at least Stacie and Natalie both could still help me with the plan."

Stacie gave her a sarcastic look. "Shut up, Adriana."

Ari, Stiles and Scott smirked.

Deaton chuckled in slight amusement. "How about we concentrate on finding your parents first?"

"What's the plan?" Adriana asked.

"Essentially, Scott, Arielle, Allison and Stiles need to be surrogate sacrifices for your parents, and Stacie is essentially their tie to this world," Deaton explained.

"We die for them?" Scott asked.

"But he can bring you guys back," Stacie  told them.

"You can... You can bring us back, right?" Stiles asked.

"You remember the part where I said it was dangerous?" Deaton replied.

"Wait, what do you mean about Stacie being like their tie to this world?" Adriana asked.

"Stacie will literally be their tie, their anchor, to bring them back, tying them together, anchoring them to this reality, so that if one comes back, they all do," Deaton answered. They all nodded understandingly. "If it goes right, the four of them will be dead for a few seconds, but there's something else you need to think about. This is a dangerous thing for more reasons than one. You'll be giving power back to the Nemeton, a place that hasn't had power for a long time. This kind of power is like a magnet. It attracts the supernatural, the kind of things that a family like the Argents can fill the pages of a bestiary with. It will draw them here, like a beacon."

"Doesn't sound any worse than anything we've already seen," Ari told them.

"You'd be surprised at what you have yet to see," Deaton told them.

"Is that it?" Scott asked.

"No," Deaton answered. "It'll also have an effect on the five of you." Adriana frowned in confusion. "Not just the ones acting as the sacrifices, but their central anchor." He looked at Stacie. "This job is just as important as theirs, Stacie. It'll have as much effect on you as it does on them. Sort of like... a guide to show them what to do." He looked between Scott, Stiles, Ari and Stacie. "You won't be able to see it, but you'll feel it everyday for the rest of your lives. It'll be kind of darkness around your heart, and permanent, like a scar."

"Like a tattoo," Scott whispered.

Ari nodded. She looked at Adriana emotionlessly.

Adriana looked at her in regret.

Nemeton

Sheriff, Melissa, Macey and Chris were tied to their posts, facing each other.

Chris pulled out a small device.

"What is that?" Melissa asked.

"Ultra sonic emitter, a smaller version of what we use to corral Werewolves," Chris answered. "Only they can hear it. Most of the time we use it to push them away. Let's see if it works to attract them."

Chris laid the emitter on the floor, pressing the button.

The emitter flashed with a beep as it turned on.

Macey looked at Chris hopefully, praying that it would work.

Hale Loft - Living Room

Cora was lying on the couch, unconscious, breathing heavily in pain.

Derek sat next to her, looking at her worriedly.

Tara looked out of the wall of windows, turning to face them. "It's gotta be now." Derek slid closer to Cora, readying himself. Tara looked at him worriedly. "Um..."

"I don't have a choice, Tara," Derek told her.

"There's always a choice," Tara disagreed.

Derek looked at Tara.

Peter walked closer. "It's whether or not your brother can live with the consequences, Tara. Facing Kali as a Beta."

"But it's not just a full moon," Tara told them. "It's a lunar eclipse. We'll all be powerless."

Derek grabbed Cora's arm, starting the process before another word was said.

Beacon Hills Animal Clinic - Backroom

Scott, Stiles, Stacie, Ari, Allison, Lydia, Isaac, Adriana and Deaton were standing in the back by four tubs that were waiting with ice-filled water.

"All right," Deaton told them. "What did you bring?"

"Um, I got my dad's badge," Stiles answered. "Jennifer kind of crushed it in her hand, so we tried hammering it out a bit. Still doesn't look great."

"Well, it doesn't need to look good if it has meaning," Deaton told them.

Adriana looked down at the bullet in Allison's hand. "Is that an actual silver bullet?"

"My dad made it," Allison told them. "It's kind of a ceremonial thing. When one of us finishes learning all the skills to be a hunter, we forge a silver bullet as a testament to the code."

Stiles leaned closer whisper to Stacie. "Please tell me you're not gonna do that."

Stacie gave him a halfhearted look. "Get over it."

"I just found out you've made a secret deal with the she-devil herself, Adriana, Stacie," Stiles told her. "I'm not gonna get over it."

Adriana smirked halfheartedly at the 'she-devil' part.

Deaton ignored him, looking at Ari. "Arielle?"

Ari pulled out the necklace that Nathan had given to Macey to give to her and Adriana for their birthday, the yin and yang necklace set. "My mom gave these to my mom the night he died. Right before I got home." She looked at Adriana. "He left them for us. One for me. One for you. And considering what we are, yin and yang seems a little too perfect."

Adriana nodded sadly in agreement, walking closer, taking the yin piece (the black with a little white, to show for the darkness inside of her along with the splash of light). She pulled the necklace on, fastening it around her neck. "If only Dad knew that this is literally us. I have darkness with a little light inside me. You have a lot of light with a little darkness inside you. Come tomorrow, hopefully that will be balanced between us and the darkness won't control either of us."

Ari put the yang piece around her neck, fastening it.

Deaton looked at the last sacrifice. "Scott?"

Scott looked down at the watch. "My dad got my mom this watch when she first got hired at the hospital. She used to say it was the only thing in their marriage that ever worked."

"Okay, the four of you will get in," Deaton explained. "Each of us will hold you down until you're essentially... well, dead. But it's not just someone to hold you under. It needs to be someone who can pull you back, someone that has a strong connection to you, a kind of emotional tether." Deaton looked at Stacie. "Stacie, being that you're the central tether, you'll stand..." He placed his hands on Stacie's shoulders, moving her to the middle aisle of the two middle tubs, at the end, facing the windows. "Right here." Lydia started to walk closer to Ari. "Lydia, you go with Stiles." Deaton looked at Adriana. "Adriana, since you're so close to Allison and Stacie that you've had secrets, please, would you..." Deaton held out a hand to Allison. Allison and Adriana nodded. "Isaac, please be the anchor for Arielle."

Everyone looked at  Isaac and Ari in confusion as to how they were so close that he would be her anchor.

Ari looked down away from the stares of Scott, Allison, Stiles, Stacie and Lydia.

Adriana crossed her arms over her chest. "None of you have even noticed?" She shook her head. "How did you ever survive?"

Ari looked up, not necessarily liking the feeling of being put on the spot like that. "You're supposed to be a good guy, Adriana?"

Adriana smirked in amusement. "I'm a work in progress."

  ¤•¤°¤•¤

Later

Allison, Ari, Stacie, Stiles and Scott had taken off their jackets. They were all wearing black.

Stacie stood at the middle of the four tubs at the end, where Deaton had placed her.

Allison, Ari, Stiles and Scott slowly climbed into the waters of frozen ice, painfully, slowly. The cold burned them until they settled in the tubs.

Stiles looked at Scott. "By the way, if I don't make it back and you do, you should probably know something."

"Your dad's in town," Stacie told him.

Scott looked at them in surprise.

McCall House - Hallway

Natalie walked into the house, looking around, about to leave again.

The agent walked toward her. "Natalie."

Natalie stopped, looking to him in confusion. "Do I know you? What are you even doing here?"

"I'm Scott's father," the agent answered. "You wouldn't know where he is, would you, Natalie?"

Natalie slowly shook her head in a lie, looking at the agent in confusion.

Beacon Hills Animal Clinic - Backroom

Stacie was still standing at the end of the two tubs in the middle of the four.

Allison, Ari, Stiles and Scott were still in their tubs. They were submerged into the water by Adriana, Isaac, Lydia and Deaton. (Slow motion)

Hale Loft - Living Room

Cora was lying on the couch, unconscious.

Derek was sitting next to her, taking more and more and more of her pain.

Peter and Tara were standing nearby, watching.

Derek looked toward the ceiling, shifting. His canines grew. His eyes glowed red for the last time. He growled. (slow motion)

Cora lurched in her sleep, opening her eyes, looking around.

Tara knelt down next to them.

The red glow in Derek's eyes turned to his old blue, revealing that he was a Beta once again, and no longer an Alpha.

Tara could barely stand to watch, looking at Cora. Although she was worried about Derek, she was relieved that Cora was still alive.

Stacie was still standing at the end of the two tubs in the middle.

Adriana, Isaac, Lydia and Deaton still had Allison, Ari, Stiles and Scott submerged into the water.

Ari and Scott opened their eyes. Ari's eyes were glowing blue. Scott's eyes were glowing gold.

Adriana felt the pain of Ari drowning, breathing deeply. Her eyes were glowing completely red.

Stacie was suddenly in pain, nearly falling to her knees, holding herself standing between the two tubs on either side of her. (Slow motion)

Stacie was breathing heavily as if she could feel what they felt now, raising her head to look up, looking confused and ready to break.

3.12 "Lunar Eclipse" Trailer

From 3.12 "Lunar Eclipse", in a big white room, Allison, Ari, Stiles and Scott woke up from underneath the water, launching up from beneath the surface to gasp for air.

Stacie was standing in front of them, looking soaked herself, flickering in and out of focus.

Scott: (voice over) "Next on Worlds Colliding (Teen Wolf)"
