chapter 16 - Triggers
Outfits in the external link
From 6.15 "Pressure Test", in the backroom of the clinic, Deaton, Amelia and Isaiah were explaining to Mason and Cory as they were looking at the sketches on the pieces of wall in front of them.
Adriana: (voice over) "Previously on Worlds Colliding (Teen Wolf)"
"It's called the Anuk-ite," Amelia told them.
From 6.12, 6.13, 6.14, 6.15, there were flashes of the faceless corpse causing fear in Natalie and Liam, Macey and Chris, Malia, Adriana, hunters, etc.
Isaiah: (voice over from 6.15 Pressure Test) "It's an ancient shapeshifter."
From 6.14 "Face to Faceless", in the tunnels, Angel was in flaming Valkyrie form, flying down the tunnel toward the faceless body quickly, strangling him, screech roaring until the fire around her seemed to explode all around them.
Amelia: (voice over from 6.15 Pressure Test) "The creature feeds off the fear and grows more powerful."
From 6.15 "Pressure Test", outside the station, Noah was facing the hunters. "If you think it's fair to hand two kids over to a lynch mob, this is gonna be a pretty short conversation."
From 6.15 "Pressure Test", in the cells, Tierney and Jiang were locked up. Nolan was standing outside the cell.
Jiang: (voice over from 6.15 Pressure Test) "You're with them."
Nolan took out the vial of wolfsbane. "I'm gonna do what I have to do."
From 6.15 "Pressure Test", in the van, the driver used a shotgun to shoot and kill both Tierney and Jiang, who couldn't move because of their restraints.
Stacie: (voice over from 6.15 Pressure Test) "Monroe had someone kill Jiang and Tierney, and it had to have been someone on the inside, someone who was in the van that took them away."
From 6.15 "Pressure Test", in the bathroom of the station, Adriana and Theo were talking.
"You're not in control, and if we don't fix it, someone's gonna get really hurt, or really dead," Theo told her. "You never learned how to control the darkness, did you, Adriana?"
"No," Adriana answered softly, feeling slightly guilty but not much because of the darkness so much stronger now. "When I thought you were dead, I wanted someone to pay. And it twisted me into a monster that didn't fight the darkness inside because I didn't want to fight it. I didn't have anyone to fight for. But I had someone to avenge."

Day One
Morning - Beacon Hills High School - Hallway
(Song:) What Would You Say to the Dark - Becky Shaheen
The students at Beacon Hills High seemed to have suffered a rash of hand injuries. All were wearing bloody white bandages on their hands.
A teenage boy with red hair moved quickly but nervously down the hallway, seeing Aaron and Gabe down the hall, turning around quickly, walking away.
(Song Ends)
¤•¤°¤•¤
Library
The boy walked into the shelves to try to hide but was concerned by Aaron and Gabe pretty quickly. "I know what you guys are doing."
"Then cooperate," Gabe told him.
Aaron pulled out a bloody scalpel.
The boy stuttered nervously. "Wait, wait. I'm not one of them, I swear. I'm--I'm not."
"Everybody gets tested," Gabe told him.
"I'll make it fast," Aaron told him. "It's just a little cut. Doesn't even hurt that much."
When the boy tried to run, Aaron and Gabe restrained him.
"Stop moving," Gabe told him.
"I told you I'm not one of them," the boy told them.
"That's why we're doing this," Aaron told him. "Everybody heals, Edgar. We just wanna know how fast you heal." He used the scalpel to cut Edgar on the hand, making him groan in pain. Edgar broke free, running out of the library. Gabe started to follow him. Aaron stopped him. "I'll get him."
Aaron walked away out of the library to follow Edgar.
The whole time, other students had been trying to do their best to ignore what was going on.
¤•¤°¤•¤
Boys' Locker Room
Edgar was washing the blood from his hand, and there was no sign of the injury.
Aaron was suddenly behind him, his voice making Edgar jump and turn to face him. "Looks like you healed." Edgar tried to run. Aaron pushed him against the sinks. "What are you?"
Edgar let his eyes glow gold. "Coyote. My whole family is."
"What else?" Aaron asked.
Edgar let his eyes return to normal in confusion. "What do you mean?"
"I'm looking for someone who can do more than just shift," Aaron told him. "Someone like me."
Aaron grabbed Edgar's wrist. Someone under Aaron's skin and moved into Edgar's arm. The veins of Edgar's am turned a dark red as whatever was in him crawled up the arm, into the neck and head, with a trail of dark red veins following its path.

Monroe's Office
Monroe and Nolan were sitting across the desk from each other.
Raphael was here, questioning them, but mostly Nolan, recording the session on his phone. "Apparently, Jiang and Tierney escaped from their transport van last night."
"And also put a Sheriff's deputy in the hospital during their escape," Monroe told him.
"I'm hearing the wounds were probably self-inflicted," Raphael told them. "Nolan, any idea where they might be?"
"Why would he?" Monroe asked.
"You mind letting him talk?" Raphael asked. "I have a witness claiming they heard a tip that the two teenagers didn't escape, but were murdered."
"And where did you hear that tip from?" Monroe asked. "Perhaps Stacie Stilinski?"
"That's confidential," Raphael told them. "Nolan?"
Nolan was very nervous and distressed. "Uh, I'm supposed to be in class, so..."
"You can be late," Raphael told him. "When was the last time you saw Jiang and Tierney?"
Nolan looked at Monroe. Monroe nodded for him to answer.
Nolan looked at Raphael. "At the Sheriff's station."
"Jiang was a friend of yours, wasn't he?" Raphael asked.
"Nolan, you don't have to answer any of these questions," Monroe told him reassuringly.
Raphael ignored her. "If Jiang needed a place to hide, would you help him?"
"No," Nolan answered. "We're not... we're not friends anymore."
"Something happen between you two?" Raphael asked.
"No," Nolan answered.
"But you do know where he is, don't you, Nolan?" Raphael asked.
Nolan was becoming more distressed by the minute.
"We're done here," Monroe told them. "Nolan, go to class." Nolan stood, grabbing his things, walking out of the office. Monroe looked at Raphael. "I won't let you harass a student."
"But you'll put a gun in his hand," Raphael countered.
"I'm teaching him to protect himself," Monroe told him. "Apparently, the FBI can't."
"He's not the one in danger," Raphael told her. "Those kids are."
"Those kids are the real killers," Monroe told him smugly. "We both know that. But since you're here alone, I guess your bosses don't believe that either. What's wrong? Can't tell the FBI exactly what you're investigating?"
Raphael smirked fakely. "Something like that."
Monroe glared at him coldly. "Then why are you still here?"
¤•¤°¤•¤
Boys' Locker Room
Nolan walked into the locker room to catch his breath. He heard Edgar moaning for help. He found the other boy laying on his back.
There were small bumps moving under Edgar's skin. Suddenly, his eyes, nose and mouth erupted with thousands of spiders that quickly obscured his face.

Gerard's Lair (Armory) - Basement
Gerard was meeting with Raphael and a woman from the US Bureau of Alcohol,Tobacco and Firearms, handing Raphael a file. "Here are the FFLs you wanted, all up to date."
Raphael examined the tag on one of the weapons cases. "What's this?"
"The price," Gerard answered. "10% off, if you're interested."
Raphael looked around at the high shelves stacked with guns and ammo. "What's with all the firepower, Gerard?"
"I'm a federally licensed weapons wholesaler," Gerard told him. "Some people like to feel safe. My staff and I sell peace of mind."
Raphael nodded sarcastically. "Your EDD roster says you have 30 employees. I'm looking at enough weapons to arm 3,000."
"This is how I make my living," Gerard told him.
"What about your security?" Raphael asked.
"There are a dozen employees on the premises during business hours," Gerard explained. "Cameras keep everything under a 24 hour watch, and our surveillance room monitors land, cellular, and online communications within the building at all times."
Raphael placed down the folder. "Good for me. Seems like a lot of inventory for a small market."
"What can I say?" Gerard asked smugly. "Business is booming."

Beacon Hills High School - Boys' Locker Room
Nolan had apparently sought out Monroe and Gabe after discovering Edgar's body. Edgar was still alive, choking on the floor.
Monroe was kneeling next to the body, turning to face Nolan and Gabe, standing. "Get rid of it."
"That's Edgar," Nolan told them nervously. "He's in my trig class."
"That isn't human," Monroe told them. "One of you put it out of its misery."
"How?" Gabe asked.
"Just do it," Monroe told them. Gabe shrugged, walking over to Edgar's body, kneeling next to him, wrapping his hands around his neck to strangle him until he suffocated, appearing to be dead. He looked stricken at what he had done, while Nolan seemed about to pass out, barely registering anything, but Monroe looked pleased, turning to Nolan. "Help him get rid of it. Gabe just showed me I can count on him, Nolan. Can I count on you?"
Nolan looked completely dazed and out of it. "What do you want me to do?"
"I want you to keep an eye on Stacie Stilinski," Monroe answered. "The only one out of the pack that is still allowed in Beacon Hills since she's human. She knows where they are. And if anyone is going to lead you to the pack, it's Stacie."
¤•¤°¤•¤
Sheriff's Station - Outside
Nolan was hiding in his car, watching Stacie who was outside.
Stacie was walking out of the station with a bunch of food supplies and sleeping bags, blankets, etc, packing it all into the Jeep. She looked around as if to make sure no one was watching her, seeing that Nolan was hiding very badly in his car, walking toward the Jeep, smirking smugly, getting inside, setting the SatNav on her phone to take her to Hill Valley Zoo, driving away.
Nolan took out his phone to make a call. "You were right about Stacie. I think Stacie's taking me to the pack."
¤•¤°¤•¤
On the Road - The Jeep
Stacie was driving, making sure that Nolan was following her closely behind through the rear view mirror. Her phone rang. She took it out to see Natalie calling, answering. "Hey, Natalie."
"Hey, Stacie, did it work?" Natalie asked.
"Yep," Stacie answered smugly. "Nolan's right behind me." She chuckled sarcastically. "Like literally right behind me. He's driving a bright red car. He's actually really terrible at this."
"Just be careful," Natalie told her. "Please, Stace, don't get hurt."
Stacie nodded. "Okay. Nattie, I'll be fine."
Stacie hung up.
¤•¤°¤•¤
Hill Valley Zoo
Adriana, Theo, Chayton, Angel, Natalie and Liam were waiting in the zoo.
Stacie pulled up in the Jeep. Theo, Chayton and Liam walked to the back of the Jeep to get the supplies. Adriana, Angel and Natalie walked up to the Jeep to talk to Stacie.
"How close is he?" Angel asked.
"He's right down the road," Stacie answered. "Don't look. You guys sure you got this? I mean, Scott, Tara, Ari, Lydia and Malia can handle the armory. I mean, it's just you guys out here."
"Yeah, we'll be fine," Liam answered. "We're splitting up evenly, remember? You with them, and us together here."
"Besides, his friends shoot to kill, and you might be able to shoot, but you won't kill," Chayton told her.
"Chayton, are you sure?" Stacie asked.
"Yeah," Chayton answered.
"Don't worry about us, Stace," Adriana told her. "Nolan's gonna do the rest. Just go help them."
Natalie nodded. "What she said. Stacie, at least no matter how dark Adri gets, she always looks out for us, Stace."
Stacie nodded in agreement. "Yeah, you're right about that part of Adri, Nattie." Adriana, Natalie and Stacie exchanged a look, smirking, chuckling lightly. Angel, Chayton, Liam and Theo looked at them in amusement. "Natalie, Adriana, be careful."
"You, too, Stacie," Natalie told her. Stacie nodded sarcastically, smirking. Natalie gave her a serious but teasing look, knowing that Stacie was teasing them. "I mean it, Stace."
Stacie smiled, driving away.
Natalie and Angel helped Liam and Chayton with their armloads of supplies. The two couples looked at their significant other and smiled knowingly.
Adriana took some of the armload from Theo to help him carry. They exchanged a look. Adriana turned away, taking a deep breath. Theo frowned slightly, concerned and confused about her behavior.
¤•¤°¤•¤
Armory - Outside
Stacie met up with Scott, Tara, Ari, Lydia and Malia outside the armory, all of whom were staying hidden in the back as they were watching the base. "It worked."
"It's about time," Malia told them, starting to come out of hiding so they could go inside.
Tara grabbed her arm to stop her. "Wait."
Scott focused his hearing. "I hear them, too."
"Hear what?" Lydia asked.
"Heartbeats," Ari answered.
"How many?" Stacie asked.
Scott shrugged, guessing. "10?"
"More," Ari answered.
"Ari, are we breaking in or not?" Malia asked.
Lydia shook her head. "Not. The armory should be empty by now."
"We can take out a few hunters if we have to," Tara told them.
Lydia looked at Scott, Ari, Tara and Malia. "We're dealing with a dozen well-armed hunters who have orders to kill all of us on sight." She looked at Stacie. "And who might just kill you if you get in their way of killing us."
Malia looked at them worriedly. "Then how are we supposed to get inside?"

Hill Valley Zoo
Natalie, Liam, Adriana, Theo, Angel and Chayton were in hiding, watching two hunters get out of a car and walk toward Nolan.
Angel, being a harbinger of death like Lydia because of being Hellhound from her mother's side, and a trickster Raven on her father's side, could hear glass breaking in her head, frowning in confusion.
"Where are they?" Hunter 1 asked.
"Inside the zoo," Nolan answered. "They're all here. It's not just the two of you, is it?"
"What do you mean, just?" Hunter 1 asked.
"It's not just a pack, okay?" Nolan asked. "There's two Alphas, a Valkyrie, a Banshee, two Chimeras... They're all here."
Hunter 2 looked around. "I don't see all them."
"I don't see anyone," Hunter 1 told them.
"I saw Stacie bring in a car full of food and supplies here for Natalie, Liam, Adriana, Theo, Angel and Chayton," Nolan told them. "They're here, okay? They're all here."
The others were still watching.
"It's just Nolan and two other guys," Liam told them. "This isn't gonna work."
"Where's the backup?" Chayton asked. "Shouldn't there be like 20 of them?"
Natalie shrugged. "I mean, they only saw us, and they're not gonna believe Nolan."
Adriana was thinking, coming up with a plan within a second, smirking. "Okay. Then they have to believe us." She raised her voice to a shout so the hunters would hear her. "Isn't that right, Chayton?"
The others looked at Adriana in surprise and confusion.
"Why are you yelling?" Angel asked.
"You got a problem, Angel?" Adriana asked. "Oh, that's right, you always have a problem."
Theo was confused but amused. "Adri, what the hell are you doing?"
Adriana raised her voice even louder to make sure the hunters could hear her. "Shut up, Angel!" The others gave her a confused look. Adriana punched Theo in the face, standing. The others stood in surprise. "See that, Natalie? Theo lets me hit him to release the anger and the darkness so I don't explode on anyone else, Ari. No one around here does that, do they, Lydia? Isn't that right, Nattie?"
"Adri, what the hell?" Natalie asked.
"Adriana, have you completely lost your mind?" Liam asked.
"Well, gee, duh, Liam," Adriana answered. "Where the hell have you been for the last six months? Were you and Natalie too busy getting your asses handed to you by high schoolers to notice that I have lost my mind repeatedly by now?" Liam looked offended, while Natalie was confused, both of them giving Adriana a somewhat hurt look. Angel and Chayton were just completely confused. Paired with Adriana's comments and Natalie, Liam, Angel and Chayton's facial reactions, Theo couldn't help but start laughing in amusement. "What do you think, Scott? What about you, Tara? You think you can take me, Malia? Stacie, can you please take this seriously for once in your life?"
They heard Nolan talk to the hunters.
"I told you they were here," Nolan told them.
"Are you sure it's all of them?" Hunter 2 asked.
"Enough of them," Hunter 1 answered.
Adriana gestured impatiently for the others to play along. "Natalie, come on."
They played along, raising their voices.
"Adriana, you need to calm down," Theo told her.
"Yeah, seriously, before you do something you regret," Natalie told her.
"Why?" Adriana asked. "Nattie, it's more fun when you lose control."
Chayton nodded sarcastically. "Yeah, not for us."
"Well, that doesn't go for all of us," Angel told them. "I think Theo actually likes it when Adriana takes it out on him."
Adriana and Theo exchanged a look. Adriana smirked. Theo chuckled.

Armory - Outside
Scott, Tara, Stacie, Ari, Lydia and Malia were still in hiding and watching the Armory.
"Gerard thinks we're gone," Scott told them. "It's a good plan."
"It's our only plan," Stacie pointed out.
"And it's not working," Ari told them.
"We can still do this," Malia told them.
Lydia looked at the car window next to her. It started to crack in a premonition. She zoned out on what the others were saying as she examined the finger-length crack in the glass. It began to spread out like a spider web.
Tara checked her watch. "We have ten minutes. Ten minutes before Gerard's people flag us. Once that happens, we'll be seen as a potential threat."
Lydia was still zoned out, looking at the glass, touching it.
Ari put a hand on her shoulder to snap her out of it. "Lydia? You okay?"
Lydia looked around, seeing that the window showed no sign of damage. "Yeah. I think so." She sighed. "Ari, we should call off this mission."
"Brett and Lori are gone," Scott told them. "Jiang and Tierney are dead."
"Gerard's always one step ahead of us," Ari told them. "We have to do this now."
"We're too exposed, Ari," Stacie told her.
Malia shrugged. "Tara said we have ten minutes."
Tara checked her watch. "Nine."

Hill Valley Zoo
Adriana had obviously been taking out some of her frustrations, evidenced by Theo's swollen jaw, Liam's bruised eyes, Chayton's bloody nose, Natalie's slashed shirt, and Angel's slashed jacket, having staged the fight of losing control to make the hunters call for backup.
"Adriana, did you get it all out of your system yet?" Chayton asked sarcastically.
"Yeah, are you done, or should we keep going?" Liam asked.
Adriana smirked in amusement, raising her arms in a shrug innocently.
They looked toward the hunters, listening.
"We gotta call for backup," Hunter 1 told them.
"I think they're sold," Theo told them.
Natalie looked at her slashed shirt, tilting her head at Adriana. "You ripped my shirt."
"And my jacket," Angel added.
"She broke my nose," Chayton replied. "Twice. It healed, and she broke it again." He held up two fingers. "Two times."
Adriana nodded sarcastically, punching Chayton in the face again, holding up three fingers. "Three times."
"Seriously, Adriana, stop," Liam told her.
Theo looked at Adriana knowingly, because they knew that this would be the pack's reaction to whenever she had to lash out, to make her stop. "Adri, it's all right."
Adriana was trying to make it appear that it was all an act for their plan, but she had obviously lost a little bit of control even though she mostly had it locked down. She looked at Theo, slightly relieved that he wasn't trying to control her or downgrade her behavior like the others were doing, that he understood.

Armory - Outside
Scott, Tara, Stacie, Ari, Lydia and Malia were still debating on what to do.
Tara was about to walk away.
Scott grabbed her arm to stop her. "Tara, what are you doing?"
"I'm gonna lure them away so that we can get inside," Tara answered, trying to walk away. Scott put his hand on the car in front of Tara to stop her. Tara tilted her head at him. "Scott, we need a new plan."
"Not a suicidally crazy one," Scott told her.
Tara sighed, giving Scott a look, to which he returned with a look of his own.
"She can use the thermite charges," Malia told them.
"We need them for the armory," Ari told them.
"I suppose it will buy us time, but not enough to get us in out safely," Lydia told them.
Stacie looked away toward the armory. "Guys."
"How about using the tunnels?" Malia asked.
"We need to get underneath the building, but we still need to sneak in undetected," Lydia answered.
Stacie was still looking at the armory. "Guys."
"Ventilation system?" Scott asked.
"Same problem," Ari answered.
"Guys, Stacie talking," Stacie told them, a little annoyed but mostly just being funny as usual. "They're leaving."
They watched as the hunters loaded up in two SUVs and drove away.

Hill Valley Zoo
Angel and Chayton had been flying overhead in the skies to see what they could see, landing safely in hiding in a structure to rejoin Adriana, Theo, Natalie and Liam by a barred window frame that let them look outside.
"There's still three of them," Chayton told them. "It's been half an hour."
"Don't blame me, Chayton," Theo told him. "Your girlfriend Angel's the one that picked an abandoned zoo."
"Angel, what are we doing in this place anyway?" Natalie asked.
"Because it's like Mykonos," Angel answered.
The others were confused.
Liam frowned. "Like what?"
"The Greek island," Angel answered. "In the city, they built these long, narrow, winding streets that all meet up with each other. Invaders would get lost like they were in a maze, trying to figure out which way to go." The others were impressed, looking at Angel in amusement. Angel looked at them innocently. "What? I read about it in one of my mom's books."
"Well, you and your mom are geniuses, and I love how smart you are, Angel," Chayton told her.
Angel smiled. "Thanks, Chayton."
"Yeah, that was like Ari and Lydia genius level," Natalie told her.
Adriana chuckled in agreement. "Natalie's right about that. Ari and Lydia could be proud of their fellow genius outside of the Martin family, Angel."
Theo nodded. "I'm impressed. It's a good idea."
"Yeah, only if invaders actually show up," Liam told them.
As if on cue, the two SUVs filled with hunters, Gerard and Monroe arrived at the zoo, getting out of their cars with weapons ready and loaded.
"I think they just showed up," Chayton told hem.
"Let's go," Natalie told them.
Natalie, Liam, Angel and Chayton walked away further into the structure, leaving the barred window that allowed them to look outside.
(Song:) Fear On Fire - Ruelle
Adriana was glaring angrily at Monroe and Gerard, trying to stay calm.
Theo stopped when he noticed what she was doing. "Hey. We're supposed to be decoys, not target practice." Adriana didn't answer, glaring out of the window toward the hunters, clenching her hands to try to keep her claws from coming out. Theo looked at her knowingly. "Let me guess. Taking out anger and darkness on all of us earlier didn't help."
"No," Adriana answered. "But maybe taking it out on them will."
"Well, you can be angry at them and stay alive," Theo told her. "Come on."
Adriana ignored him in favor of listening to the hunters outside.
"Spread out," Gerard told them. "Nothing gets in or out."
Hunters spread out and started to make their way inside.
Adriana was still watching Gerard and Monroe in pure anger that was growing stronger. She was starting to lose control of shifting.
Theo sighed, taking Adriana by the hand, pulling her away from the window further into the structure, making sure Adriana couldn't see the hunters anymore so she could calm down. "Do you not see the irony of me having to tell you to use restraint on losing control or not killing people?"
Adriana turned to face Theo, her hand still in his. "Of course I see the irony, Theo. But you don't have to pull on my arm like a child on a leash. Ari and Lydia do that enough for the whole pack and then some when they're trying to control me."
"Yeah, well, I'm not trying to control you," Theo replied. "I'm just trying to make sure you don't kill anyone on accident. And you didn't hear me complaining when you had me in chains 'like a child on a leash'."
Adriana knew that he was distracting her and trying to get her mind off the darkness, scoffing a laugh. "That's because you're... well, you, and some part of you probably enjoyed the fact that I had you in chains."
Theo smirked sarcastically. "Apparently I wasn't the only one." Adriana gave him a sarcastic look, though she was still close to losing it, turning away, punching the wall in front of her to try and calm herself. Theo was worried about how close she was to losing control. "You need to calm down."
Adriana started to shift in a very dark, different way. Her skin darkened slightly to a light black, her claws and canines longer, deadlier and darker, her eyes glowing completely purple, her hair taking on a darker tone as well. "I can't."
Theo was in shock to see this. "What is happening to you?"
Adriana was trying to calm herself down. "There's a reason why we call it darkness, Theo. And it's taking physical form. Literally."
Theo took Adriana's hand off the wall, turning her to face him, tracing the double infinity sign tattoo on her wrist to calm her down. Adriana was able to calm down, easier to do so while with Theo's help, returning human before she could finish shifting into what she was becoming, before she could lose control.
Theo was still stunned, reeling, processing. "When did this start happening?"
"After I got shot in the head," Adriana answered. "When Ari had to give me power to save my life. She made me stronger, and in doing so..."
Theo realized the implications, sighing. "She made the darkness stronger when she saved your life."
"Yeah," Adriana answered. "It's not her fault, Theo; she couldn't have known that this would happen."
"No one could have," Theo replied.
"Theo, one person knew that this could happen," Adriana told him. "Deucalion used to say that I could have turned into a monster wolf like he did when I was in his pack. But, Theo, he let me believe that he was lying, that he was bluffing to keep me scared enough to stay in his pack, saying he was the only one that knows how to control it."
"So there is a way to control it," Theo told her. "You just have to find it." Adriana looked down. "I'm the only one who knows about this, aren't I? No one else does."
Adriana looked slightly guilty, shaking her head. "They would all be terrified to see me like that. Anyone would be."
"You don't scare me," Theo told her.
"I scare me," Adriana told him. "And you know I don't scare easy, Theo."
Theo sighed. "You can control it."
Adriana scoffed. "For how long? A month? A week? A day? The darkness is stronger than ever before, Theo. And it's taking control."

Beacon Hills Memorial Hospital - Morgue
Amelia, Macey and Melissa were working, in their work clothes. Isaiah, Chris and Raphael were talking with them in the privacy of the morgue.
Chris looked at Amelia and Isaiah. "The search for the Anuk-ite..."
"It's taking longer than we hoped," Amelia told them. "This thing can hide in plain sight. Jordan's helping us, but the town is overrun by fear and darkness, to the point where it's hard to tell where it's coming from."
"So it's going to be harder to locate it," Isaiah told them. "Although, the other Hellhound, Hawlyn, he was around a lot longer than either of us. He was at least 100 years old. He knew how to look for this creature. He knew more about it than we do right now."
"And for some reason he thought it was my daughter, Adri," Macey told them. "I think he was drawn in by the darkness in Adriana."
Amelia and Isaiah looked as if this gave them an idea.
"Yeah, I didn't follow any of what you were just saying, but I just needed to tell you that I was wrong," Raphael told them.
"That's a first," Melissa told him sarcastically.
"I need to know where they're all at," Raphael told them.
"Why?" Melissa asked.
"I need their help," Raphael answered.
"They told us not to tell you," Chris told him.
"Gerard is stockpiling enough firepower to arm a small country," Raphael told them. "I can't go to the FBI. Where are they?"
"It's too late now," Chris told him.
"They need to know what's happening," Raphael told them.
"They do," Melissa told him.
"They don't know what's in that armory," Raphael told them.
"Don't worry, okay?" Melissa asked. "You did your job."
"What's that supposed to mean?" Raphael asked.
"Now it's their turn," Amelia answered.
Raphael realized what they meant. "They're still here, aren't they? All of them? I mean, don't they know how dangerous this is?"
"You have known about the supernatural for five minutes," Melissa told him. "And we have been doing this for a lot longer."
"So trust us when we tell you that these kids can handle it," Macey told him. "So let them do what they're best at. Saving our asses."
Raphael sighed worriedly. "Please tell me they've got a plan."
Isaiah nodded. "They've got a plan."

Armory
Stacie opened the door to the armory, using a paintball gun to shoot at the cameras to wipe them out so they couldn't see their faces as she and the others walked in. Scott, Tara, Ari and Malia were easily knocking out the guards left behind.
Ari looked at Scott and Tara. "Thermite charges should take care of the weapons. Just make sure you're clear before they detonate, okay?"
Stacie, Ari, Lydia and Malia walked away toward the surveillance room, while Scott and Tara walked away toward the basement with the bags of thermite charges.
¤•¤°¤•¤
Surveillance Room
Stacie, Ari, Lydia and Malia made their way inside the surveillance room to see three guards there.
"You find the problem?" a guard asked.
"We are the problem," Stacie told them.
Ari and Malia held two of the guards in chokeholds until they passed out. Stacie used the butt of her paintball gun to hit the third guard in the head, knocking him out. Ari and Lydia sat at the surveillance footage screens to get to work. Stacie and Malia walked closer to stand behind them to watch them.
¤•¤°¤•¤
Hallway
Scott and Tara were making their way down the hallway toward the basement of the armory with the thermite charges. They stopped at a corner of the wall to hear that there was another guard around the corner that they were listening for. Scott held up his finger to signal one heartbeat. Tara ran down the hallway toward the guard. The guard tried to shoot Tara. Tara caught the gun, using it to push him against the wall, twisting the gun to hit him in the head, making his head bounce off the wall and him fall to the floor, unconscious. Tara turned back down the hallway toward where Scott was watching in impressed amusement. Tara smirked smugly.
¤•¤°¤•¤
Surveillance Room
Ari and Lydia were sitting at the footage table, setting up shop to where they could keep an eye on everything and learn the controls they needed to unlock the basement door. Stacie and Malia were standing behind them, watching curiously.
Lydia heard the sound of a gunshot sounding in her head. "Did you hear a gunshot?"
"No, I didn't hear anything," Malia answered.
Ari and Stacie shook their heads in agreement.
Lydia listened to the sound of shell casings cascading over a concrete floor. "I heard shell casings. I saw a window crack and then I heard it shatter." They knew it meant something bad was going to happen, worried. Lydia sighed. "We should've called this off."
¤•¤°¤•¤
Hill Valley Zoo
The hunters were still standing outside, about to search the zoo for half of the pack that was there, while the other half was at the armory.
Gerard held up a gun in one hand, handing a crossbow to Nolan with the other. "Take the south side. Shoot to kill."
Nolan was nervous, nodding. "Okay."
Nolan walked into the zoo.
Monroe looked at Gerard. "He's gonna get himself killed."
Gerard smirked. "Hopefully it's Adriana who kills him, to make her lose complete control. If we can make her lose herself to the darkness, she'll turn on everyone. Including the ones she loves."
Monroe gave him an incredulous look. "You're okay with that?"
"Yes," Gerard answered. "And so should you be."

Armory - Surveillance Room
Ari and Lydia were still sitting at the surveillance table. Stacie and Malia were standing behind them.
Lydia heard another gunshot and more invisible shells hitting the ground. "We all have to get out of here."
"Do that and we lose our chance," Ari told them.
"Scott and Tara could die," Lydia told them. "It's not worth the risk."
"Ten minutes ago, I would've agreed," Malia told them. "But right now, we're in it."
"We need to weigh the risk versus reward carefully," Ari told them worriedly. "If we stay, we could succeed. If we go, we know we won't get another chance. Since one risk is known, and the other is unknown..."
Stacie sighed worriedly. "We go with the known."
"You know what Scott and Tara would say," Malia told them.
Stacie nodded in agreement. "Scott and Tara would still go in knowing the danger now if we could eliminate a bigger danger in the future."
Lydia sighed, worried and anxious. "Then we have to stay."
Ari keyed something on the control board that released the locks on the basement in the armory.
¤•¤°¤•¤
Basement
Once the basement door was unlocked, Scott and Tara walked in with the thermite charges. All of the shelves were empty, all of the weapons and ammo boxes gone.
Scott looked around in confusion. "Okay, where are all the guns?"
Tara looked at Scott in realization and worry. "They knew we were coming."

Hill Valley Zoo
Several well-armed hunters were spread out around the zoo, searching for the half of the pack that was here. They were all split up too, but not too far from each other. Natalie and Liam were taking cover behind a structure, Adriana and Theo were taking cover behind a concrete wall, and Angel and Chayton were staying hidden up above ground so that they could see an attack coming for them.
Angel seemed to be hearing gunshots like Lydia, but she couldn't tell if it was reality or a premonition, given the fact that they were under attack by hunters.
Chayton was confused and concerned about her behavior. "Angel, hey." Angel was still too entranced by her premonition. Chayton put a hand on her shoulder to pull her out of it. "Angel." Angel snapped out of it, looking at him. "You okay?"
"I think so," Angel answered. Chayton raised his eyebrows slightly. "Chayton, I'm fine."
Adriana kept looking around the concrete wall she and Theo were next to, to glare at Gerard and Monroe for what they did to Brett and Lori and everyone else.
"If you keep looking, they're gonna see you," Theo told her. "Get back."
Adriana gripped the wall with a clawed hand, clearly trying to stop herself from attacking them. Theo took Adriana's clawed hand off the wall, pulling Adriana away from the wall before they could be found.
"Theo, let go," Adriana told him.
"Adri, calm down," Theo replied. Adriana was having trouble with control, her eyes glowing completely purple when she didn't mean for them to. "Something's going on with you, okay? Something more than darkness and anger. Something around here is triggering you."
Adriana had difficulty to make her eyes stop glowing, looking shaken and nervous about losing it, trying to convince both him and her. "I'm fine."
"What is it?" Theo asked. "The hunters? The cages around here reminding you of the cells from way back when? Freaking out about your transformations? All of the above?"
"I said I'm fine, Theo," Adriana told him shakily, literally shaking, trying to stop.
Adriana and Theo looked at each other, neither of them convinced, both worried and concerned about what could happen if she couldn't control herself.
Angel and Chayton let out a low screech roar to let Natalie, Liam, Adriana and Theo know that the hunters were getting close, low enough to where they didn't lure the hunters to them.
Natalie and Liam hid more prominently behind the structure, ready to fight back if they had to, watching the hunters, letting their eyes glow gold.
Adriana looked angry again in an instant, looking as if she would start a fight right then, starting to walk away. Theo grabbed Adriana, pulling her toward hiding by the concrete wall to stop her, to hide from the hunters as they walked past, holding his arms around Adriana to try to get her to calm down and to stop shaking before she did something she would regret. Adriana was only slightly surprised to be in his arms. They looked at each other as Adriana slowly stopped shaking, though she was still close to losing control.
Nolan found them on the other side, aiming his crossbow at them, calling to the hunters. "They're up here!"
Nolan shot two arrows at Adriana and Theo, enraging Adriana again as they both caught the arrows before they could be killed.
Natalie, Liam, Angel, Chayton and Theo knew that was the wrong move to make when Adriana was barely hanging onto control as it was. Theo glared at Nolan in annoyance and anger.
"You're a dumbass," Chayton told him in annoyance.
Adriana ran toward Nolan, tackling him off the edge of the zoo enclosure.
Natalie watched worriedly. "Adriana!"
While Natalie, Liam, Angel and Chayton were in shock, Theo was not, having knowing that Adriana was going to lose control because of the transformations and because of the duress that the hunters were putting her under, sighing, angry with the hunters and worried about Adriana.

Armory - Basement
Scott and Tara were searching for any sort of weapons, but they were all gone. They exchanged a worried look, sighing.
They heard Malia through PA. "Guys, get out of there."
Tara looked at Scott. "Let's go before they all get back." Scott took Tara by the hand, leading the way to the door, but stopped when he sensed something. "What?"
"That scent," Scott answered.
Tara caught the same scent. "It's Jiang and Tierney."
They followed the scent to a locked door at the back of the basement.
They heard Stacie through the PA. "Guys, you need to leave now."
Scott walked toward the locked door. "Tara, help me with this."
Scott and Tara walked up to the locked door, pulling on it with all their strength to pull it open.
From the surveillance room with the other three girls, Ari noticed that the door was wired to the control board in front of them. "No, no, no, don't open that door."
It was too late. The door popped open. An alarmed sounded on the control board, and the doors to the armory all closed and locked themselves.
Scott and Tara looked around worriedly, realizing they were trapped in the basement.

Hill Valley Zoo
The hunters were still searching for the half of the pack that was in the zoo.
Gerard and Monroe located the supplies that they had planted in the zoo.
"The armory's failsafe was triggered, and I can't reach anyone there," Monroe told him.
"Don't worry about it," Gerard told her.
"None of that sounds remotely suspicious?" Monroe asked skeptically.
"None of it sounds remotely worthy of my time," Gerard answered.
"What if it's Scott and Ari and the others?" Monroe asked.
"Well, of course it's Scott and Arielle," Gerard told her.
"Then what are we still doing here?" Monroe asked.
"We're doing what we came here to do," Gerard answered. "What we've been trying to do for a while now. Make Adriana lose control."
"We've been trying, and she's been fighting," Monroe told him. "Killing her ex-boyfriend didn't work. Kidnapping her childhood friend that was trapped with her and the Dread Doctors didn't work because he got out and got back to her. Shooting her in the head to make Ari give her power to make the darkness stronger and start to take form isn't working."
"Then we'll have to keep trying, something more likely to work and a little bit more painful," Gerard told her. "Imagine what would happen if we killed her best friend. The one that you wanted to come to your office while in school."
Monroe nodded in understanding. "Natalie. Natalie is Adriana's best friend."
"How do you think Adriana would react if we put a bullet into Natalie's head and dropped her body at her feet?" Gerard asked.
"Okay, I get it," Monroe told him. "We kill Natalie to make her lose control, but what about the rest of the pack?"
"Making her lose control to the darkness will turn her bad once more," Gerard told her. "Once she had been put against her friends and family while she was with the Alpha Pact. If we continue to tear her down, she'll have no choice but to go back to that."
"So, if we kill Natalie to break Adriana, then she'll break the rest of them," Monroe realized. Gerard smirked, nodding. "And how do you know she won't break us?"
"Oh, she'll try," Gerard answered. "It's up to us to stay alive. If killing Natalie Lahey doesn't make Adriana Martin lose control, then we'll try something a little closer to home. Literally. How do you think she'll react if she loses someone from her family? Lydia, Arielle, Macey Martin? Her cousin, her twin sister, her mother? Adriana has no shortage of loved ones to use against her to make her lose control, counselor."

Armory - Surveillance Room
Lydia, Ari, Stacie and Malia were sitting at the table, watching the footage of Scott and Tara in the basement, trying to talk to them through the PA, but when the armory went into lock down, the PA system was turned off.
"Nope, everything's shut down," Ari told them. "They're locked in there, and we can't do anything about it."
Malia noticed a flashing red light on the control table. "What's this?"
"A motion sensor," Lydia answered.
"What does H-2100 mean?" Stacie asked.
"H stands for halon," Lydia answered. "It's a fire suppression system."
Ari sighed worriedly. "It'll pull all the oxygen out of the room to put out a fire."
"All of the oxygen?" Malia repeated worriedly. "How long can a Werewolf hold their breath?"
Stacie shook her head worriedly. "I think we're about to find out."
¤•¤°¤•¤
Basement
Scott and Tara were still trapped. Scott was trying to break open the door, but it was Werewolf proof.
Tara was exploring the room where they had smelled Jiang Tierney in the hidden room, inside finding a map with red dots marking northern California, Greenland, western Europe, Egypt or Sudan, China and Siberia.
Scott walked into the room to join Tara, looking around in confusion. "Where's Jiang and Tierney?"
Tara pointed at a case in horror. "They're here. That's all that's left of them."
Inside the case was a piece of skin with a tattoo depicting stacked rocks, the pack symbol for Satomi's pack. It was Tierney's skin that the tattoo was on. Two Werewolf-shifted earlobes were mounted in another case nearby, darker, meaning they were from Jiang.
Outside the hidden room and in the main room of the basement, a red laser began to sweep across the warehouse.
Scott was about to step out of the room into the beam, but Tara pulled Scott back because she had seen it first. They exchanged a look.

Hill Valley Zoo
Natalie, Liam, Angel, Chayton, Adriana and Theo were fighting against the hunters that had found them, without killing them.
Natalie let her eyes glow gold and her canines and claws grow, growling. Man 1 aimed a gun at her. Natalie caught the gun before he could shoot her, kicking him in the head, using the gun to hit him in the knee, making him fall to the ground, using the butt of the gun to hit him in the head, knocking him out.
Man 2 tried to attack Liam from behind. Liam sensed him coming, ducking, turning to face him, punching him in the face, pushing him into a wall. Man 2 tried to shoot him, but Liam got the gun, twisting it out of his grasp, turning the gun to shoot at the sky before the hunter could shoot him, using the butt of the gun to hit him in the head and knock him out.
Two men tried to punch Angel from either side. Angel ducked both times, punching them both in the elbows, spinning around to backhand kick Man 3 in the stomach, pushing him down, spinning to kick both Man 3 and Man 4 in the heads, knocking them out. She turned toward a group of oncoming hunters, using her screech roar to create a sound wave that acted as a shield to protect her and the others from being shot and killed.
Man 5 ran toward Chayton to try and attack him with a stun baton. Chayton ducked, turning the stun baton back around him to make him shock himself, rendering him unconscious, tossing him down. Man 7 tried to jump Chayton behind. Chayton turned to catch him midair, grabbing him, flipping him to the ground, slamming him down, punching him in the head, knocking him out.
Man 6 tried to stab Theo. Theo caught his wrist, twisting the knife out of his grasp, spinning to kick his feet out from underneath him, making him flip through the air and land hard on the ground, punching him in the head, knocking him out. Man 7 tried to taser Theo. Theo caught his arm, turning the taser on him, making him shock himself and render himself unconscious, tossing him down.
Man 8 tried to taser Adriana. Adriana caught his arm, twisting it back forcefully enough to break his arm with more strength than she meant to, making him scream in pain, hitting him in the head, pushing him to the ground on his knees, growling at him furiously.
Theo was keeping an eye on Adriana to make sure she didn't lose control. Adriana saw the look, knowing he was just trying to help, sighing.
Angel and Chayton looked at each other, nodding, taking each other by the hand, using their screech roars combined to send most of the bullets fired at them back into the air as a shield, the force of the weapons of sound put together enough to throw most of the hunters to the ground, knocking them out as they landed on the ground. Nolan, Monroe, Gerard and a few others were the only ones still awake.
Natalie caught a gun that a hunter had tried to shoot her with, elbowing him in the face, kneeing him in the stomach, punching him in the nose, breaking it, making him let go of the gun, twirling the gun in her hands to hit him in the head with the butt of it, making him fall unconscious.
Gerard was setting up a gun with a hallucinatory wolfsbane bullet, trying to shoot Natalie when she was in the middle of fighting the hunter.
Adriana saw that Natalie was about to be shot dead while she was in the middle of the fight, running closer. "Natalie! Natalie, look out! Nattie!"
Liam ran closer to help. "Natalie! No, Natalie!"
Adriana pushed Natalie away into Liam's arms, receiving the shot from the hallucinatory wolfsbane bullet in her arm instead, groaning in pain. Liam held Natalie standing because the strength Adriana had used to push her into his arms nearly made her fall to the ground. Natalie and Liam looked at Adriana worriedly in surprise.
Natalie was in shock. "Oh, my God. Adri? Adri."
Angel, Chayton and Theo ran closer worriedly to make sure that Natalie, Adriana and Liam were all okay. Adriana was starting to go from hallucination to reality as the wolfsbane created a vision in her head to distract her and make her lose control, nearly falling because of the wolfsbane poison. Theo caught Adriana before she fell, trying to keep her awake.

Adriana's Hallucination
Night - Cells
Adriana appeared to be waking up in the cells from her childhood with the Dread Doctors and Theo.
She heard Theo's voice saying her nickname in a singsong voice. "Adri..."
She heard Brett's voice. "Adriana... Adriana!"
She heard Theo's voice again. "Adri..."
Adriana sat up, looking around in confusion, trying to break free. "What the hell?"
Theo was in the cell next door, leaning against the bars of the cell to look at Adriana smugly in amusement. "Very close. You've been going through hell for a long time, Adriana."
Brett walked closer from outside the cells, to Adriana's shock. "Some of it your own making."
"You know how I love to play the bad guy that doesn't feel anything about anyone, Adri," Theo told her. "But you know that's not true. You know one person that I've always cared about. You. And everyone knows that it's a lot more than just caring. How many times I've saved you? Protected you? Fought for you? Helped you? You know the real Theo is in love with you."
Brett leaned against the bars of the cell to taunt Adriana. "You feel something for him, too. You just know it's wrong, so you do everything possible to fight it and push him away."
"Because feeling something for the guy that nearly destroyed your pack and hurt almost everyone you care about is totally okay," Theo told her sarcastically. "But you know I only did that in an effort to protect you."
"Everything he's done, to protect you, even if he had to hurt everyone else to do it," Brett told her. "One of the many reasons why you couldn't bring yourself to hate him. You know he liked you all those years ago in the cells, Adriana. He even admitted it. And you liked him back then, too, but you thought he had died. He was never able to move on because of the brainwashing from the Dread Doctors, and you tried to move on, but you couldn't really... until you met me. Which is why my death has such an impact on you, too. Because I'm the only one that you've liked, besides him. You have a lot more feelings for him than you let on, too. Unable to hate him for the things he's done, hallucinations giving you impressions of being with him, dead or alive, unable to let him save you at the risk of his own life again, nearly killing Schrader when you found out that he had him, admitting things to him that you don't admit to anyone else... and now with the darkness becoming stronger, you're starting to care less about right and wrong, which is why you're not pushing him away as much as you were before, and you're not fighting it as much as you were before."
Adriana sighed, annoyed with being confronted by the hallucination, standing, though she was completely overwhelmed with being talked to by both of them.
"We've already established that you don't hate me, Adri, and you can't hate me as much as you wish you could," Theo told her. "And it might be more than just because of childhood memories, but present feelings, too. You and the real Theo? You both feel for each other, but you haven't said it out loud. You haven't admitted it. But you do want to stop fighting it. Stop fighting it because fighting this on top of everything else is just making you worse."
"We know that you cared about me, too," Brett told her. "Enough to protect me from yourself. Enough to let me go."
Adriana was becoming so overwhelmed that she had to hold her head in pain, starting to shift completely. Her monster form was like a feminine Deucalion monster wolf from 3.12 Lunar Eclipse. She was struggling to regain control:
Still trapped in the cell with the hallucinations of Brett and Theo taunting her, Adriana was trying to regain control, finally able to make her monster form fade away to make herself return human.
"Yes, you could have fallen for me," Brett told her. "But I was never him. And you said it yourself. You deserve to suffer just as much as he does. I think we all know that what happened to both of us, you blame yourself for. You always took the blame, and you think you deserve it. Maybe you do. It's all because of you."
"You wanted to be buried alive for punishment," Theo told her. "Maybe we could do that to you."
Theo and Brett opened the cell doors, walking inside toward Adriana. Adriana backed away, holding her head, closing her eyes.
She heard the real version of Theo calling out to her to try to get her to wake up. "Adri!"

Reality
Day - Hill Valley Zoo
(Song:) Day Dream - Ruelle
In reality, Natalie, Liam, Angel and Chayton were taking care of the rest of the hunters.
Nolan was aiming his crossbow at Adriana.
Adriana was losing control, but staying mostly normal instead of going complete monster form like in the hallucination, mostly in human form though the darkness was trying to make her shift completely.
Nolan was terrified but stood strong. "She wants me to kill all of you. For you to watch someone else you love die to make you lose control. She'll kill me if I don't."
Nolan aimed his crossbow at Adriana. Adriana roared angrily in rage, ripping away the weapon, losing control, tackling Nolan to the ground, punching him repeatedly until he was bleeding in the mouth and nose, pulling back her arm to slash into his throat.
Theo grabbed Adriana from behind, pulling her away from Nolan, struggling to keep her from fighting, looking at Nolan angrily in annoyance for making her lose control. "Run, you idiot." Nolan ran away, terrified. Adriana broke free from Theo's hold easily, turning to face him without realizing what was happening, half of her thinking that she was still trapped in a hallucination, trying to punch him. Theo caught her hands, pulling them down in front of them to calm her down. "Adri, listen to me. Adriana, this is what they want. Don't give it to them."
Theo realized that he knew of a way to calm Adriana down and bring her back to control without anyone else getting hurt, pulling her closer, placing a hand on either of her cheeks, kissing her slowly and passionately to bring her back. Adriana was surprised but not entirely shocked, calming down enough to return completely human before she could finish the shift, keeping her human, calm, giving her back control. They pulled away, looking at each other, listening to her heartbeat slow from its racing pace to its normal beat.
Adriana was stunned but relieved, trying to figure out what she felt in the moment. "Why did you do that?"
"To bring you back from the darkness," Theo answered. "And your hallucination."
Adriana managed a small chuckle. "Well, that's one way to do it." She fully realized what had just happened, looking horrified, backing away into the stone wall behind her, sliding to the ground. Theo walked closer worriedly, kneeling in front of her to look her in the eye. "I almost killed someone. Again."
"Almost," Theo replied. "You didn't."
Adriana swallowed. "I couldn't control it."
"It doesn't matter," Theo told her. "I brought you back. It's okay."
"You're seriously going to use the worst lie right now?" Adriana asked.
"Well, what the hell else am I supposed to say?" Theo replied, trying to provide distraction and humor to make her feel better and further away from the darkness.
Adriana barely reacted, shaking her head. "I can't keep doing this, Theo. I can't lose control like that again. Maybe you should've just let them kill me."
"Who?" Theo asked.
"The Dread Doctors," Adriana answered. "Belasko. Corinne. Ghost Riders. Hell, even the car crash, getting run over. Theo, take your pick from any number of things you saved me from, any number of times that you've saved me when you should've just let me die so that this wouldn't be happening right now."
Theo gave her a look. "Don't talk like that. All right, we'll figure this out." Adriana scoffed softly, hanging her head. "When did Adriana Martin ever give up so easily? Did you give up on returning home and getting free of the Alpha Pack? Or doing any number of things to redeem yourself to everyone you love by saving all of them? Or taking down our past?"
"Why do you always ask the questions that you already know the answers to, Theo?" Adriana asked. "No, I've never given up."
"Then don't give up now," Theo told her. "What do you do now, Adri?" Adriana didn't answer, gazing off. Theo repeated the question a little more firmly. "What do you do now, Adri?"
Adriana looked up with a cold glint in her eyes. "I keep fighting. And I make someone pay."
Theo shook his head. "No, you stop them. I admit, the old me would be willing to help you kill whoever you wanted to kill just because you asked me to. But we're this close to losing you for good. If you kill someone and lose yourself to the darkness, we might not get you back this time."
"Why do you care?" Adriana asked, trying to push him away. "All you ever did before was help me with control, because you knew you couldn't help me with the darkness. So why are you trying so hard now?"
"You know why," Theo told her.
"Do I?" Adriana asked.
"Judging by what I heard you say while you were trapped in the hallucination, yeah, you do know," Theo answered. Adriana was surprised that she had been talking while trapped in the hallucination. "Yeah, I heard everything you said when you were in the dream state." Adriana was nervous now because of that, looking down, sighing anxiously, knowing that he knew the truth behind why she kept pushing him away and knowing that he knew it was all an act. "You know why I would help you fight the dark side of you."
"But I thought that, in your own words, you loved the dark side of me," Adriana told him. "Why would you help me not be her?"
Theo sighed. "Maybe I like the good side of you more than I love the bad side." Adriana processed what he said silently. "I'm okay with you either way, Adri. The dark side, the light side. I just want to help you be who you want to be."
Adriana processed for a moment, nodding, looking a little more at ease and relieved.

Armory - Surveillance Room
Stacie, Ari, Lydia and Malia were sitting at the table.
"Communications are shut down and the room is sound proof," Malia told them.
"We need to warn them," Stacie told them.
Ari got an idea, standing up on her chair to reach the ceiling above. "We are. One of these pipes leads into there."
Ari used her hand to break through the pipes.
¤•¤°¤•¤
Basement
Scott and Tara were trying to stay out of the way of the red laser.
"What is that?" Scott asked.
"It's a motion sensor," Tara answered.
"If they already know we're here, then what do they need a motion sensor for?" Scott asked.
Tara shook her head worriedly. "I don't think we wanna know."
They heard tapping against the pipes, looking toward the sound.
Ari spoke through the pipes so they could hear her through the sound proof room. "Scott? Tara? Can you hear me?"
"Yeah, we can hear you, Ari," Tara answered.
"Don't trip the sensors," Ari told them.
Tara looked at the shelves. "Come on."
Scott jumped over the first beam, ducking under the second, jumping up onto a shelf, lying on his back. Tara repeated the movements, jumping onto the shelf on top of Scott, facing him, starting to rise to get off of him just as another beam swept their way. Scott pulled Tara back down onto his chest to keep her out of harm's way. Tara looked at Scott, sighing.
"Not really how I'm used to this," Scott told her. Tara couldn't help but chuckle, looking around. "We should probably do something."
Tara looked around for some way to get out, seeing a padlock on the skylight above them. "I've got an idea."
"Okay, sounds great," Scott told her.
Tara sat up slightly to give him an amused look. "You don't even know what it is yet."
"I mean that it's great that you have one," Scott told her. "You always have a plan."
Scott saw the laser was about to hit Tara again as she was trying to get up, pulling her back to his chest to prevent the sensor from hitting her. They looked at each other, smiling small smiles.
Tara looked at the skylight with the padlock. "I'm thinking that's our way out."
"What?" Scott asked. "We can't reach that."
"I can reach it," Tara told him.
"You might trip a sensor," Scott told her.
Tara gave him a look. "Trust me, I've got this."
Scott nodded, obviously not doubting Tara with everything that she had been able to do and accomplish. "Okay."
¤•¤°¤•¤
Surveillance Room
Stacie, Ari, Lydia and Malia were devising their own plan to get them out.
Ari and Lydia were trying to rewire the control board.
"If we can bypass the electrical system, we might be able to reset the console," Lydia told them.
Stacie and Malia were watching the footage, noticing that Tara was standing on the shelf over Scott carefully.
Malia frowned in confusion. "What the hell is she doing?"
¤•¤°¤•¤
Basement
Tara moved to a standing position over the shelf next to Scott without being hit by a sensor.
Scott nodded reassuringly. "You got it." Tara looked at the ceiling carefully, mapping out what she needed to do so that she would know exactly what she needed to do and do it smoothly without missing a beat to do it without conflict, jumping over a laser to get to another shelf, landing lightly, leaping up to a pipe in the ceiling, grabbing onto it to stay over the sensors, lifting her legs up to wrap around another pipe in the ceiling, just above the sensor sweep and nearby the skylight and the lock, barely able to reach the lock, having to swing her arm at it to break it off because she was too far away from it to be able to completely grab it, and she couldn't get any closer to it. Scott and Tara both smiled when the lock broke off. Scott sat up, cheering lightly. "Yes!"
The lock landed on the floor, breaking further into smaller pieces. A small piece of the lock bounced off the floor, striking a beam.
Halon fire suppression system fired jets from the ceiling, spraying all over Scott and Tara, making Scott fall from the shelf to the floor, and making Tara fall from the ceiling to the floor. The jets were also removing all of the air in the room, making it nearly impossible to breathe or for Scott and Tara to catch their breaths.
¤•¤°¤•¤
¤•¤°¤•¤
Scott and Tara were sitting on the floor, both unable to breathe, almost out of oxygen.
Scott was holding Tara in his arms as they both gasped weakly. "Tara?"
"I'm here," Tara told him weakly.
They both looked at each other sadly as they continued to gasp and get weaker due to no oxygen in the room, suffocating.
¤•¤°¤•¤
Surveillance Room
Stacie, Ari, Lydia and Malia were about to leave the room to head down to the basement to help Scott and Tara better than they could from there, but they were worried about making things worse.
"How long do they have?" Stacie asked.
"Minutes," Lydia answered.
They heard a voice through the radio, Hunter 1. "We found Anderson unconscious. We're moving in."
Ari turned the footage over to reveal that a group of hunters were walking in with guns to take the armory back.
"How many are inside?" Hunter 2 asked.
"I don't know," Hunter 1 told them.
"What else can anybody see?" Hunter 2 asked.
"We have to do something," Malia told them.
Hunter 1 spoke over radio. "Shoot to kill."
Ari was getting annoyed and worried, sighing. "Lydia, stay here until the fight's over. Stacie, Malia, come with me."

Armory - Basement
(Song:) Silent Running - Hidden Citizens
Scott was still holding Tara in his arms as they sat on the floor, closer and closer to dying.
Tara had to say this, pushing herself to speak. "Scott..."
"Don't try to talk," Scott told her.
"I don't wanna die like this," Tara told him.
Scott shook his head. "Oh, Tara..."
"Not like this," Tara told him.
"The more you talk, the more oxygen that you..." Scott trailed off.
"I don't care," Tara told him. "I'm not dying here. Not after everything that I've went through. Fought through. And survived. I've survived a lot worse fates than this, Scott, and so have you." She was getting weaker and weaker, gasping softly. "My uncle. Kanimas. Alpha Pack. Nogitsunes. Oni. Professional assassins. Argents. Calaveras. Berserkers. Dread Doctors and Chimeras. The Desert Wolf. Lowenmensch. The Wild Hunt. We beat all of them. I even helped Malia steal the rest of her mother's power. I'm supposed to be stronger. I don't want to die here. Not here. Not like this."
Tara was finally drifting off, appearing to stop breathing.
Scott was worried and horrified, trying to wake her up. "Tara? Tara, hey. Tara. Tara!"

Hallway
A smoke grenade was rolled into the hallway toward the hunters, going off with a flash. Stacie rounded the corner with a gun in one hand and crossbow in the other, firing at the hunters to keep them from killing them, also shooting out the lights above the corridor, sending a shower of sparks raining down on the confused and coughing men. Ari and Malia walked closer from behind Stacie as the shower of sparks continued to rain down around the three girls. Ari let her eyes glow red while Malia let her eyes glow blue, both of them growling. (slow motion)
Ari punched the first man in the face, kicking him in the stomach, making him double over in pain, wrapping her legs around his neck, flipping him to the floor, landing in a crouch, looking up, flipping her hair out of her face, growling.
Stacie used her crossbow to shoot a gun out of another man's hand before he could shoot her, kicking him in the chest with a kick that sent him sprawling to the floor, using the butt of her gun to hit another guard in the head, knocking him out.
Malia grabbed another man, pulling her arm back to deliver a painful punch to his face, growling, throwing him into the wall, hitting his head against the concrete, making him fall unconscious.
Once Malia, Stacie and Ari had finished rendering the hunters unconscious, they walked down the hallway littered with their unconscious bodies on their way toward the basement, only to come across more hunters with more guns.
Stacie turned to the cameras in the hallway. "Hang on, Lydia."
¤•¤°¤•¤
Surveillance Room
Lydia was watching from the safety of the room until the fight and gunfire was over. She was suddenly pulled into a Banshee premonition, no longer in the armory, back in Tara's loft. She flashed back and forth between the locations, hearing guns going off and glass breaking, confused.
¤•¤°¤•¤
Basement
Scott was trying to wake Tara up. "Tara. Tara, hey. Tara. Tara?" Tara appeared to be going through a similar process of evolving that Derek had gone through in 4.12 Smoke and Mirrors, something that had also happened to their mother Talia and their sister Laura and even Peter, like going through a transition in a cocoon when finally shifting into a more evolved being of what they already were. Tara knew that what was happening to her was a combination of her being a Hale and partly because she had helped Malia steal Corinne's power to turn into an animal. She gasped awake, sitting up out of Scott's arms. Her eyes were glowing a darker, more powerful blue as she started to change, shifting and transforming, to both her shock and Scott's. "Tara?"
Tara was shifting into a beautiful, strong white wolf. Scott realized what was happening to her, in awe.
¤•¤°¤•¤
Hallway
After Ari, Malia and Stacie had taken out the rest of the guards, Lydia walked toward them now that the fight and her premonition was over.
Malia looked at Ari. "You said the doors were solid steel."
"I said they'll stop a bullet, not a Banshee added with the strength of an Alpha half-breed," Ari corrected.
Lydia and Ari exchanged a look, nodding. Stacie and Malia backed away to give them enough room. Ari started to push at the doors with all of her strength, straining to do so. Lydia used the power of her Banshee scream to help Ari tear the door down, allowing air to flow back into the basement to save Scott and Tara.
They saw that Tara was changing back from the white wolf to her human form, in shock.
Scott wrapped his coat around Tara. They looked at Lydia, Ari, Stacie and Malia, amused by their shocked looks because it had been their reaction, too. Now that they could finally breathe, they gasped in relief, looking at each other, stunned and chucking lightly to themselves, embracing tightly in relief.

Ari, Adriana and Macey's House - Adriana's Room
(Song:) Keep An Eye On Me - Frida Sundemo
Adriana walked into her room to change her shirt after the fight at the zoo.
Theo leaned against the doorway.
"Thanks for helping me with the wolfsbane poison," Adriana told him. "That would've killed Natalie."
"Yeah, but you saved Natalie, so you can stop blaming yourself for nearly ripping that kid's head off," Theo told her.
"You didn't have to bring me home," Adriana told him. "I have to head to the loft after this to talk to the pack about what happened at the zoo and the armory, anyway."
"Seemed like you could use the company and a reminder to stay calm," Theo replied.
"Well, you also didn't have to bring me to my room," Adriana pointed out.
Theo looked down, tilting his head slightly. "Wanted an excuse to get out of my truck, and I'm not really in a hurry to get back to it. Seen way too much of it lately." Adriana looked at him curiously. Theo looked up, sighing. "As in... living in it."
Adriana obviously felt a little bad learning about this, sighing, rubbing her temple, conflicted, because she didn't want to let him suffer, though she was so used to pushing him away. "Great. Now I'm gonna feel bad enough to let you stay here, given the past. Bad and not so bad alike." Theo looked at Adriana in surprise for offering him a stay, looking a little touched, chuckling. Adriana managed a small smile back. "Especially since the hunters lured me to your truck to try to get me to lose control, and I used one to shatter your truck windshield, pretty sure it's the least I could do."
"Yeah, that's right," Theo told her. "Well, I could use damage repayment."
"Yeah, well, you better hope the hunters are willing to pay you more than just a visit to try to kill you again, because I am not 'paying you' for anything," Adriana told him. "It was their fault, anyway."
Theo smirked teasingly, distracting her more from the darkness. "Well, I was just talking about damage replacement for the windshield, Adri, but if you were talking about something else..."
Adriana was hiding a slight blush, shaking her head, smirking slightly, a little amused. "Oh, my God, Theo, shut up." Theo laughed at her reaction. "You know I wasn't."
Theo smiled. "Yeah, I know. It's okay, I wouldn't take money for that anyway." Adriana couldn't help a laugh. Theo smiled at the fact that he got her to laugh, letting his smile fade. "Natalie, Liam, Angel and Chayton saw you start to shift into the other part of you today. You know they're gonna tell the others."
"Could be a good thing," Adriana told him, pulling a new shirt out of her dresser. "I mean, they might be terrified of that part of me just as much as I am, but at least I won't have to hide or be scared of what they think. Everyone will know."
"And you're hoping they can help you with control of that monster half, but I think you and I both know that the only one who will be able to help you learn how to control it is..." Theo trailed off.
Adriana sighed, shaking her head. "Please don't say who I think you're about to say."
"Adri, you know who I'm talking about," Theo told her. "Deucalion." Adriana sighed, looking down. "He double crossed me to help you the last time either of us saw him. When he had led me to believe that he was going to rip your eyes out of your head, so I electrocuted him, but still." Adriana couldn't help but smile a little at the fact that he electrocuted Deucalion for her. "He might have helped turn you into a killer when he was obsessed with power, but he was helping you because he wanted to make up for that, right?"
Adriana sighed, nodding. "Yeah. It seems like that's the only thing you two have in common. Going from obsessed with power to helping me to redeem yourselves to me."
Theo smirked slightly in amusement. "You need him. He might know how to control the monster form because he has one of his own. And if you need someone there with you to tell the pack the truth about your own monster form, I'll go with you."
"I really don't feel like talking about monster forms, past or hunters, Theo," Adriana told him.
"Then what do you want to talk about?" Theo asked sarcastically. "How we all need your ex-psycho former Alpha's help for you to learn control so that next time, you won't hurt anyone and won't have to be stopped by me?" Adriana seemed to relate that comment to something else that had happened that day, chuckling quietly and darkly, almost hysterical, though she didn't really find it all that funny. Theo frowned in confusion. "Why are you laughing? Not that I'm complaining."
"I just realized that my ex-psycho best friend from our torturous past is the only reason I didn't kill someone today," Adriana answered. "And that he might be the only thing that I have that can keep me in control. And you did it with a kiss."
They both chuckled at the irony.
"Well, you did say that you only gave into the darkness before because you thought I was dead and you wanted someone to pay for what they did to both of us," Theo told her. "Now I'm here. And that tattoo, it's always reminded you of you and me in the cells, our promise to get out of there. Yeah, you traced it whenever you made a promise, or when you wanted to punish yourself, but it mostly helped you calm down from whatever you were feeling. If I'm the guy that's behind the reason why you went dark the first time, and the guy behind the thought of that tattoo that helps keep you calm to an extent, then maybe I can help you control the darkness the second time."
Adriana managed a small smile. "Like an anchor."
Theo nodded, smiling a little. "I know you haven't had an anchor for control, but you need one. Even if it's one as bad as me."
Adriana chuckled lightly. "Answer one question?" Theo raised his eyebrows curiously. "Did you have to kiss me?"
Theo shrugged, his teasing attitude making her feel better and distracting her from the darkness. "Have to? No. Want to? Hell yeah." Adriana couldn't help a smile, chuckling. "Angel and Chayton could've used screech roars to get through to you, but that would've led more hunters toward us, and a lot more danger, so... my plan was best case scenario."
Adriana nodded, tossing her shirt down, no longer planning on changing into it. "And how long have you been waiting to kiss me?"
Theo chuckled. "A while. But the real question is, was it better than your hallucination from the Doctors? You know it's bad when I have to specify which hallucination I'm talking about. You've had three of me as of today, testament to the fact that you have more feelings than you let on."
Adriana scoffed, managing a small laugh at that. "Theo, you're still an ass."
"Seems to be your type, Adriana," Theo replied.
Adriana blushed a little, amusing Theo more as he watched her, glad that he was able to make her smile and laugh even when she was like this. Adriana couldn't help a small smile, picking up one of her pillows from her bed, throwing it at Theo. Theo dodged the pillow, making it hit the wall and fall to the floor, smiling, chuckling.
Adriana was becoming more relaxed now that she wasn't pushing him away, finally being able to feel normal for the first time in a while. "I know you have been helping me and saving me and protecting me for a long time now. Even if you had to hurt the ones that I cared about to do so in the process, because of the Dread Doctors. And I haven't said anything in return because I had pride too high and you were a dick back then, and sometimes still can be. But I can be a bitch too." They both chuckled. "So... thank you."
Theo smirked in amusement. "How hard was it for you to say that?"
Adriana chuckled sarcastically. "Not very." They both smiled small smiles. Adriana was nervous, tracing her tattoo. "You ever think about what could have happened... if I had been able to save you all those years ago? Able to get you away from the Doctors like you helped me get away?"
Theo sighed, knowing that she had been still blaming herself for that, but slightly exasperated because she was blaming herself for something that was out of her control. "Why do you insist on torturing yourself with thoughts like that?"
"Because it keeps me in touch with humanity," Adriana answered. "Do you know how different things would be? None of the bad things would have happened if I had just been able to save you."
Theo shook his head. "We were both brainwashed, Adri. They didn't want you to save me. We both ended up doing exactly everything they wanted, even if you didn't know it. There's nothing you could've done."
Adriana sighed heavily. "Doesn't make it easier." Theo was slightly surprised by the fact that she wasn't pushing him away and that she was being sincere and open and at ease, but given her hallucination earlier in the day, he wasn't shocked. "Did you really hear everything that I said during the hallucination?"
"Yeah," Theo answered. "I know what it was about. Me and Brett. Taunting you about all this. Why?"
"Do you remember... me saying that I don't want to fight anymore?" Adriana asked.
"Yeah," Theo answered. "Are you still talking about the darkness, or something else?"
Adriana sighed, shaking her head. "I'm not sure what I'm talking about. Or thinking. All I know is that fighting for too long has made me lose my mind."
Theo pushed away from the doorway, walking closer as Adriana watched him curiously. "I will help you fight the darkness, if that's what you're talking about. If you're talking about the other thing that you're fighting, about me, if that's what you want to stop fighting... I'm good with that."
Adriana chuckled, nodding, still confused on what she was feeling or doing. Theo stepped in front of her, placing a hand on her cheek to see if she would resist. When she didn't and just continued to look at him curiously, Theo kissed her slowly at first, then deeper and more passionate. They pulled away, looking at each other, both looking relieved at not having to fight this part anymore, smiling small smiles. Adriana was especially relieved because this was the only time she didn't feel like everything was falling apart, placing her hands on his chest, kissing Theo first this time, more passionately than he had kissed her, which had already been really passionate. Theo held a hand to her cheek and on the small of her back to pull her closer, while Adriana held a hand to the back of his head, twining her fingers through his hair, pulling lightly at his hair as she closed her fingers around the strands. Theo cupped her chin to kiss her more deeply, holding her close. They pulled away, looking at each other for a moment longer, chuckling lightly, smiling, continuing to kiss passionately.

Armory - Basement
Monroe and Gerard were in the basement, putting the clues of what had happened together, seeing that the map from the hidden room with the red dots was gone.
"I found Jimenez tied up," Monroe explained. "The rest of them are out cold. It looks like it was six of them. Half of them here, half of them at the zoo. They outmaneuvered and overpowered the rest of your men. And now they've got the map. What if they figure out what we're doing?"
"They won't," Gerard told him.
"You had Scott and Tara trapped, and they got away," Monroe told him. "Tara came back stronger than she used to be, she's evolved. She could as strong as Ari, Scott and Adriana for all we know now."
"Noted, counselor," Gerard told her in annoyance.
"What are you gonna do about it?" Monroe asked. "I want to know there's a plan."
"You remember what I told you about the pack having no shortage of loved ones to use against them?" Gerard asked. "How losing someone close to them can break them?"
"Yes," Monroe answered.
Gerard gave her an annoyed look. "Don't make the mistake of thinking that applies to us."

The Loft - Tara's Room
(Song:) You're Safe - Rachel Platten
Scott and Tara were in Tara's room after what had happened.
"You okay?" Scott asked.
"I died for a moment and came back as a wolf like my mom used to be able to turn herself into, like what Laura used to be able to turn herself into, like what Derek still can," Tara told him. "Peter used to be able to turn himself into a monster when he was an Alpha, and Malia can turn into a coyote. For a long time, I was the only Hale in town that couldn't turn into an animal. After what happened with Corinne and Malia, and what happened today..."
"That all changes," Scott finished. "You were able to evolve because you helped Malia take her mother's power, and she could shapeshift into a coyote."
Tara chuckled lightly in relief and amusement. "Yeah. I didn't just get that ability to turn into a wolf, though, Scott. I'm evolved now. I'm stronger. I'm faster."
Scott smiled, amused. "Seems like you're exited on testing it out."
Tara smirked, shrugging. "What can I say? This doesn't happen to a girl every day."
They both smiled, looking at each other for a moment.
"I was so scared that I lost you," Scott admitted. "Now I know what you felt when you saw me dead on the supermoon."
"And I came back, just like you did," Tara told him. "We both came back better. It' s okay. You didn't lose me."
Scott and Tara both smiled happily in relief, kissing passionately for a long few endless moments.

Living Room
The pack was meeting with Theo, Amelia, Isaiah, Chris, Macey and Melissa around the big table in front of the wall of windows, talk about everything that had happened.
Liam looked at them in shock. "So Tara actually turned into a white wolf?"
"Yeah," Stacie answered. "I guess Tara Hale's heart isn't as black as we all thought."
Ari smiled in amusement. "Come on, Stacie. I think we all knew that Tara was just playing the part of the black heart so that people would be scared of her and would leave her the hell alone. Because she was the queen of anti-social before all of this."
Tara gave them both a sarcastic look. "Hilarious, Ari."
Scott smiled, wrapping his arm around Tara's shoulders, making her smile.
They all smiled.
"Right, well, we still have to talk about the fact that Adriana was starting to take on a seriously dark monster form like Deucalion," Chayton told them. "I guess it's true what we call the darkness."
"Thanks, Chayton," Adriana told him sarcastically.
Angel looked at Adriana. "Oh, and by the way, next time we come up with a plan like this, I'll pick a place that doesn't trigger a murderous rage."
"Angel, it's not your fault," Adriana told her. Angel sighed, not looking entirely convinced. Adriana caught her gaze, nodding reassuringly. Angel smiled a little. "It's okay, Angel."
"It wasn't just the place, Angel," Amelia told her. "It was her shifting problem, and Gerard getting her with hallucinatory wolfsbane that nearly killed her until we helped her. Angel, you couldn't have known that this was gonna happen."
Natalie looked at Adriana. "Thank you." Adriana looked at her. "For saving me. Even when you were so close to losing control."
Adriana nodded. "Of course, Natalie. I'm just sorry for being such a bitch to you lately." She looked at the rest of the pack. "To all of you, actually."
Natalie smiled a little, putting an arm around Adriana. "It's okay. We know it's not your fault."
"Nattie's right, Adri," Ari told her.
"Adri," Stacie told her. Adriana looked at Stacie. "Like Nattie said, this is in no way, shape or form that this is your fault. Right, Ari, Nattie?"
Ari nodded, smiling a little. "Stacie's right about Nattie being right." Natalie smiled. "And you just love to hear that you were right, don't you, Nattie?"
Natalie smiled, laughing.
"Adri, we don't blame you for any of this," Stacie told her. "You shouldn't blame yourself."
Adriana and Natalie smiled. Stacie, Ari and Lydia chuckled. The others smiled small smiles at this.
"Exactly what I told her," Theo told them.
Adriana gave him a sarcastic look. "Shut up, Theo."
Theo smiled.
"Well, for once, he's right, Adri," Stacie told her.
"They were trying to kill you to make her lose control, Natalie," Lydia told her. "You're her best friend."
"And anyone here is in danger because of their tactics," Malia told them.
"I don't think that Adriana's losing control just because of the hunters terrorizing her," Isaiah told them.
"What do you mean?" Macey asked.
"I mean, Amelia and I think that the thing that came out of the Wild Hunt is affecting her, too," Isaiah answered. "We need to figure this out before she loses it completely."
"I thought the Anuk-ite causes fear, not anger," Melissa told them in confusion.
"People only feel one emotion at a time," Chris told them. He looked at Adriana. "Which is why you get angry when you're afraid."
Tara nodded in agreement. "And the one thing that you're afraid of is losing control to darkness and anger, so the Anuk-ite is making your worst fear come true."
"It's a cycle," Theo realized. "That's why you almost tore Nolan's head off."
"If the Anuk-ite can do this to her, what do you think it's doing to everyone else?" Tara asked.
Theo looked at Adriana sarcastically. "Still think that we shouldn't call Deucalion?"
Adriana gave him a sarcastic look. "Shut up, Theo."
"He's right, Adri," Macey told her in concern. "Adriana, I hate to admit that we might need help from the former psychotic Alpha that turned you into a killer, but he might be the only one that knows how to help you control this." She looked at Theo. "And I know that you have gone to severe lengths to protect Adriana. Including hurting my other daughter Ari and my niece Lydia and everyone else as part of the Dread Doctors' plan to stop them from killing Adri. But if anything like that happens again, you won't have to worry about Adriana losing control."
The others were stunned but impressed and understanding with Macey's protectiveness when it came to her family and what had happened. They also knew that Macey wasn't being completely serious or threatening, just being protective, the others amused. Chris smirked, looking at Macey in approval, proud. Macey smiled in return.
Theo looked at Ari and Adriana. "Your mom can be as scary as the two of you when you're going dark."
Ari and Adriana smirked in amusement. Lydia raised her eyebrows, nodding in agreement.
"Adriana, the Hellhound Hawlyn thought you were the creature because of the darkness inside you," Amelia told her. "Isaiah and I've been looking for this thing for a long time now, but I think you might have a better chance of finding it because of the darkness linking you to it."
Adriana nodded in understanding, though she was nervous about what that could mean.
"All right, what about the map that we found in the armory?" Scott asked.
Stacie pointed at the red dots. "What are these?"
"They're Nemetons," Chris answered.
"What does Gerard want with them?" Melissa asked.
"If they're like the one here, then they're beacon for supernaturals," Ari told them.
Natalie nodded in agreement. "If you wanted to kill every supernatural creature in the world, these are where you would start."
"Well, then, Gerard isn't gonna stop with Beacon Hills, is he?" Liam asked.
Chayton shook his head. "He wants the whole world."
Lydia and Angel heard glass breaking, but this time, they didn't seem to be the only ones hearing these things. Amelia, also a harbinger of death, could hear the sounds too.
Angel spoke softly. "Mom, did you hear that?"
Amelia nodded.
Lydia looked at them in surprise but relief that she wasn't the only one hearing it. "You can hear that, Angel?"
Angel nodded. "Yeah."
"Angel, hear what?" Isaiah asked.
Before they could answer, Raphael walked in. "You're all here. Good."
"Why?" Malia asked.
"You can't leave," Raphael answered. "No one can."
"Nice to see that you changed your mind, but I'm slightly afraid to ask why," Stacie told him.
"It's Gerard's weapons," Raphael answered.
Lydia, Angel and Amelia weren't paying attention to the conversation because they could hear cascading bullet shells.
"Angel..." Lydia trailed off.
"I hear it," Angel told her.
"Angel, what is that?" Lydia asked.
Angel looked around.
"What do you mean, Dad?" Scott asked.
"The guns, they've all been distributed legally to the citizens of Beacon Hills," Raphael explained. "All of them, and at no charge."
"What, he just gave them away?" Liam asked.
"No," Ari answered. "He's arming his army."
Amelia knew what was coming before they did, looking toward the wall of windows. "Get down!"
Ari grabbed Lydia and Stacie, pulling them to the floor just as three arrows pierced through the windows and shot into the wall behind them, which would have killed all of them if Ari hadn't pulled them down, and flashes went off with bangs, disorienting everyone enough to where they weren't prepared for the gunfire that started to pour through the wall of windows, shattering them. Scott, Liam, Chayton, Theo, Chris, Raphael and Isaiah all pulled Tara, Natalie, Angel, Adriana, Macey, Melissa and Amelia down into safety, while Ari and Malia were trying to protect Stacie and Lydia. Stacie pulled out her gun and crossbow to fire back at the attackers outside while staying low to the floor to stay safe.
The gunfire stopped. Everyone looked around as a widening pool of blood was spreading across the floor, signaling that someone, or more than one someone, was badly injured in the gunfire.
