Catty nodded. "Yeah."
Dean realized fully, smiling. "Awesome."

From 3.04 "Sin City", in the basement of Evan and Casey's House, Evan was in the Devil's Trap.
Catty started to chant. "Tribuite virtutem deo..."
From 1.22 "Devil's Trap", in the apartment building's hallway, Ness was pinned to the wall by Demons, with her exorcism playing over the fire alarm system. She smirked smugly, starting to chant along with her recorded exorcism. "Ut eccelsiam tuam secura..."
The Demons looked up, screaming, smoke blowing out of their mouths, leaving, going to Hell. Their bodies fell to the floor, unconscious, at least.
From 12.05 "The One You've Been Waiting For", in the kitchen of the Bunker, Catty, Ness, Dean and Amara were sitting at the table. Sam and Octavia were standing nearby.
Sam took out a box of pie, opening it to show them. "How about some pie?"
Dean didn't look up. "Maybe later."
From 12.03 "The Foundry", in the library of the Bunker, Mary tried to embrace Dean. Dean backed away.
Sam: (voice over from 12.04 American Nightmare) "Ever since Mom left, you've been a little, uh, cranky."
Mary walked out.
Dean: (voice over from 12.04 American Nightmare) "She took some cash, she took a cellphone she doesn't answer, and she bailed on us."
From 12.04 "American Nightmare", outside the Peterson House, Sam, Dean and Catty were dressed as Child Protective Service workers, wearing sweaters.
"You know, sometimes families do better after a little time apart," Sam told them.
"Yeah, who?" Dean asked. "The Mansons?"

Flashback - 1980
Emerson, Manitoba, Canada
Day - Woods
A young boy was running through the woods, knowing that his life was in danger, but there was no way to stop.
The monster that was chasing the boy caught up to him, pushing him against a tree, transforming into a Werewolf, with fangs, yellow eyes and claws. He sliced the boy across the cheek with his claw.
A shotgun shot rang out, hitting the Werewolf in the head, killing him, splattering blood onto the boy's face.
The Werewolf fell dead to the ground.
The boy looked toward the shooter that had saved his life, seeing that it was Mary.
Mary lowered her shotgun.
§
Fox House - Outside
Mary's blue and white car drove up to the house.
§
Mary's Car
Mary was in the driver's seat.
The boy was in the passenger seat.
Mary looked at the big house. "So, this is your house?" The boy held a cloth to his cut cheek, nodding. "Look, you did a great job of pointing directions, but words are helpful. And names. Like me? I'm Mary Winchester."
"Asa Fox," the boy told her.
"That's a great name," Mary told him. "You're gonna be fine. I know it doesn't seem like it, but you are."
"What was that... thing?" Asa asked.
"A Werewolf," Mary answered. "One I've been tracking for a long time. We had history. Come on."
"Werewolf?" Asa asked.
They got out of the car.
§
Outside
Asa and Mary walked toward the house.
"You kill Werewolves?" Asa asked.
"I hunted a lot of bad things," Mary told him.
"'Hunted'?" Asa repeated. "Like past tense?"
"I'm retiring," Mary told him. "Well, officially, I'm already retired. Just tying up a few loose ends."
"But if you retire, who's gonna save people like me?" Asa asked.
Mary didn't answer, looking toward the house. "Uh, your mom in there?" Asa nodded, looking away. "Good. Hey, let me just..." Mary brushed the dirt off of Asa's face, brushing back his hair, cleaning the blood off his cheek. "That's better. Good enough. Well, go on."
Asa walked toward the house.
Mary turned around, walking toward her car.
Asa stopped at the front door, taking out a Polaroid camera, taking a picture of Mary while she was getting into her car.
Mary drove away.
(Song:) Roll on Down the Highway - Bachman-Turner Overdrive
Asa looked at the photo while it developed.
§
Inside - Asa's Room
Asa was cleaned up and changed. He put Mary's picture onto a board.
Time seemed to pass.
Asa was obsessed with hunting things like the Werewolf that had tried to kill him, and obsessed with learning how to save other people like Mary had saved him. He put articles up on the board next to Mary's pictures about supernatural cases. He wrote postcards to Mary to let her know what he was doing, but he couldn't send them because he didn't know where she was, or if she was still alive. He put all of the postcards into a box.
More time passed, and Asa became a full-grown man. He had adapted into a full hunter, putting up more articles, filling shotgun rounds with rock salt.
§
Haunted House - Basement
Asa walked into the basement with a shotgun. He found a Ghost, shooting her, making her disappear.
§
Night - Woods - Car
Asa was in his car with a girl, making out.

Day - Fox House - Asa's Room
Asa was putting up more articles.

Asa was in his car with another woman, making out.
§
Day - Fox House - Asa's Room
Asa hung up more articles.
§
Night - Woods - Car
Asa was in his car with yet another woman, making out.
§
Day - Fox House - Asa's Room
Asa was working on another case's research, writing another postcard to Mary, putting it in the box with the others.
§
Outside
Asa and a man were working on his Jeep.
"Hey, you know they make new cars, right?" the man asked.
"I don't want a new car," Asa told him. "This is my lucky car."
§
Night - Woods
Asa ran through the woods.

Suddenly, Asa was shown hanging from a tree, dead.

Day One
Morning - The Bunker - Ariel and Faith's Nursery
Sam and Octavia were in the nursery, with Ariel and Faith, sitting on the floor, messing around, letting them watch cartoons on the small TV.
"Ah, cartoons, what do you recommend for fast-growing Nephilim toddler Ariel and Faith to watch early in the day?" Sam asked dramatically, speaking in a singsong voice. "Speak to me."
Octavia smiled, holding Faith close to her.
Ariel and Faith were laughing.
"They are growing so fast, Sam," Octavia told him.
"Yeah, I didn't think Ariel and Faith would be growing this fast," Sam told her. "Oh, but at the same time, I thought it would be faster. Ava, I had no idea what to expect."
"Well, I didn't know that much about it, either," Octavia told him. "Angel-Human relationships are rare, contrary to what you may believe because of our relationship and Catty and Cas' relationship, Sam. And Nephilim children like Ariel and Faith are even more rare. Not as rare as the True Hybrid like Sabrina, or the relationship Sow has with Levi, the True Hybrid and the youngest Angel to ever be created, but..."
Sam nodded in understanding. "Right."
"You seem to forget that our lives are not everyday, normal lives for every other creature in the world, Sam," Octavia told him.
Sam laughed. "Yeah, because for us, it's the new normal, Ava."
Octavia chuckled. "Yeah. Speaking of normal, is it too much to ask for even Ariel and Faith to have as much of a normal growing up as they can have?"
"I don't think so," Sam told her. "But, in the life that we live..."
Octavia sighed, resigned. "Yeah..."
Sam smiled at her reaction. "Ava, I would love for Ariel and Faith just to have to worry about cartoons and juice boxes, too."
"They're gonna start developing powers soon, Sam," Octavia told him. "And Ariel and Faith gonna start using them without realizing what they're doing."
"Which is why you're here to teach them what to do," Sam told her. "You taught Sabrina how to use a lot of her powers, and you taught her most of her fight moves. Same thing with Amara. You're a good teacher." They looked at each other, smiling, kissing slowly and softly for a moment, pulling away when they heard Ness in the hallway on the phone. Ness walked past the doorway, looking upset. "Ness?"
Sam and Octavia stood with Ariel and Faith in arms, following Ness.
§
Dean and Ness' Room
Dean and Amara were playing around with Aiden on the bed.
"Hey, there you go, Aiden," Amara told him.
Aiden smiled, laughing. "Mar-Mar."
Dean smiled. "Yeah, Amara's Mar-Mar."
Amara smiled, pulling her brother into her arms. "I love you, too, Aiden."
Ness walked in to start packing a bag.
Dean and Amara looked at her in confusion.
Sam, Octavia and Catty walked in with Ariel and Faith.
"Ness, what's wrong?" Catty asked.
"Mom?" Amara asked.
"Friend of mine died," Ness answered.
"Who?" Dean asked.
"Asa Fox," Ness answered.
Amara sighed.
Dean frowned. "Asa Fox. Why does that name sound familiar?"
"Isn't he the guy that Ellen used to tell stories about back at the Roadhouse?" Sam asked.
"Yeah," Catty answered. "Supposedly, he killed, like, five Wendigos in a night."
Ness nodded. "Yeah. Yeah, he was a hunter. I met him in Sioux Falls, years ago. Back when my dad was still alive. He came to us for help. He was chasing a pack of Ghouls. He'd pass through every once in a while after that. After the Zombie invasion, I introduced him to Jody, knowing that he could help train her when we couldn't, because of the whole running-from-Levis-and looking-for-Sabrina thing. And obviously when I say 'Levis', I was referring to what we used to call the Leviathans, but since we actually know a Levi now, who is who we all already know will be Sow's future boyfriend considering how much Levi and Sow spend together, I had to remind myself that I was talking about Levis and not Levi."
Amara nodded. "Right."
Ness sighed sadly, looking up. "Oh, Asa was a good man." She took a deep breath. "The--the wake's tonight, and, um, they're gonna salt and burn the body tomorrow."
"I can't believe you just said that like it's something normal," Amara told her.
"Well, for us, it is, Amara," Ness told her.
Dean looked at Ness. "You wanna go?"
Ness nodded. "I need to. All of his friends... our friends... will be there."
"Well, we're gonna come with you," Catty told her.
Sam nodded in agreement. "Yeah. You know, we never go to hunter gatherings, outside of bars. Dad always said they were trouble, so..."
"I can go," Octavia told them. "I never got to know any Humans other than the lot of you. Kevin. Charlie. It would be nice to meet some others, even hunters. And I haven't left the Bunker in weeks. You'd be doing me a favor if you let me tag along."
"Thank you, Ava," Ness told her. Octavia nodded. "We're gonna need two cars if we're gonna drive five hours."
"Five hours?" Amara repeated. "Where are we going?"
§
Emerson, Manitoba, Canada
Fox House - Outside
The Impala and Octavia's Camaro drove into Canada, stopping outside of the Fox House.
Dean, Ness and Amara got out of the Impala.
Sam, Catty and Octavia got out of Octavia's Camaro.
Aiden was in the backseat of the Impala. Ariel and Faith were in the backseat of the Camaro.
"Oh, Canada," Catty told them.
"This is a big house," Sam told them.
"Family home," Ness explained. "Asa was just a guy."
They got the babies out of the cars.
§
Inside - Foyer
(Song:) Man in the Box - Alice in Chains
The family (-Castiel and Sabrina, of course) walked inside.
The hunters inside were listening to rock music, mingling, drinking, laughing, telling stories.
Jody saw them. "Guys." Ness smiled a small smile. Jody walked closer. "Oh, I'm glad you guys are here."
"Me, too, Jody," Ness told her.
Ness and Jody embraced, pulling away.
Jody embraced Sam, Dean and Catty in turn, pulling away. "I missed you guys."
"We missed you, too," Catty told her.
Jody sighed. "Oh, Amara, honey, you look great."
"I'm better off than the last time I saw you, Sheriff Mills," Amara told her.
"Please, call me Jody," Jody told her.
"Okay, Jody," Amara told her.
Jody and Amara embraced, pulling away.
Jody looked at Aiden, gasping softly. "And look at you. Baby Aiden, you got so big." Aiden smiled. Jody held Aiden for a bit, smiling. "Hi."
"Can you say hi, Aiden?" Ness asked.
Aiden smiled. "Hi."
They chuckled.
Sam put a hand on Octavia's shoulder. "There's somebody we'd like you to meet. Jody, this is Octavia. My wife." Octavia smiled. "Ava, this is Jody, our long-time friend."
Jody gasped, in shock. "Octavia. As in the Ava?" Catty, Sam, Dean and Ness nodded. Jody looked at Octavia. "Wow."
"Hi," Octavia told her.
"Wow," Jody told her enthusiastically. "It's good to finally meet you." She wrapped her arms around Octavia, surprising her. Octavia chuckled, returning the embrace. They pulled away. "So, you're Human now. And Sam's your husband." Jody looked at the twins. "And these must be your daughters. Ariel and Faith. Aw, they are so adorable."
"Thank you," Octavia told her.
Jody smiled. "I like you already." She looked at Catty, Sam, Dean, Ness and Amara. "I like Ava."
They chuckled.
Ness saw an older woman, looking at the others. "I'll be right back."
They nodded.
The older woman saw her, waking closer. "Ness." Ness smiled a small smile. "Oh, Ness, thanks for coming."
Ness and the older woman embraced.
"Mm, Lorraine, of course," Ness told her. they pulled away. "How you holding up?"
The others walked closer.
"Well, it's a house full of loud, drunk hunters, and my son's dead body is in the parlor," Lorraine told them. Ness looked down sadly. "But I haven't slit my wrists yet." Lorraine raised her glass. "Small victories."
"We're very sorry for your loss," Sam told her.
Lorraine nodded. "I know. Everyone's sorry."
Lorraine walked away.
"So..." Catty trailed off. "This is gonna be fun."
Catty took her jacket off.
Amara chuckled. "I can taste the sarcasm, Aunt Catty." Catty smirked. Amara looked at Jody. "How's Sage?"
"Doing pretty well without her soul, all things considered," Jody answered. "I mean, Sage hasn't killed anybody, or tried to beat them up. In fact, Claire's helping Sage channel whatever emptiness she's feeling, or lack of feeling, into hunting monsters."
Sam nodded. "Best thing for Sage to do without a soul."
"Yeah, you would know," Dean told him.
Sam gave Dean a look.

Kitchen
Sam and Dean were talking with a group of male hunters, getting beer from a trunk.
"No label," Dean told him. "Well, that's a red flag."
The man that had been working with Asa on the Jeep in flashback walked closer. "Nah, fully safe. I home brewed it myself." He took their bottles to use his beer cap opener to open them. "Here. Not a twist-off.
"Ah," Sam told him.
"Oh, hope you like strong beer, guys," Man 1 told them.
Sam and Dean both took a drink, debating the taste.
"That's good," Dean told him. "Uh, Sam and Dean Winchester."
"The Sam and Dean Winchester?" Man 1 asked.
The hunters at the nearby table turned to them.
"No freaking way," Man 2 told them. "Aren't you both dead, like, four times?"
"Yeah," Sam answered. "It, uh, didn't take."
"Wait," Man 3 told them. "Is Ness here?"
"You know Ness?" Dean asked.
"Ness knows pretty much everyone in this house," Man 2 told them.
Dean nodded. "Yeah, all right. I forgot about all of her hunter connections. Yeah, Ness is here. Our daughter, Amara, too, our son Aiden. And Sam's new wife Octavia. Uh, Ava. Their daughters Ariel and Faith."
"What about your sister Catty and her daughter Sabrina?" Man 3 asked.
"Yeah, Catty's here, too, Sabrina's not," Sam answered. "Sow's actually with her dad Cas and her crush Levi, working a lead on the Devil. The girls are..." He pointed toward the living room. Man 3 stood before he could finish, walking toward the living room immediately. Sam and Dean were surprised that he wanted to talk to the girls so bad. "Okay, good talk."
"Yeah, sorry about Elvis," Man 1 told them. "He's, uh... Elvis." He shook their hands. "I'm Bucky Sims."
"Hey," Sam told him.
Man 2 shook their hands. "Yeah. Randy. Randy Bull. Ah, watch out for the horns, right?"
They chuckled.
"Uh, you two hunters?" Dean asked.
Bucky nodded. "Mm-hmm."
"Yes, sir," Randy answered. "Did you know Asa?"
"No, no, we never met him," Sam answered. "But, uh, we heard some crazy stories."
Bucky and Randy exchanged a knowing, amused look.
"Yeah?" Bucky asked. "Like what?"
"Well, I mean, come on," Dean told them. "Nobody can take out five Wendigos in a night."
Bucky looked at the other hunters in the room. "Hey! Our famous friend said the magic word. Drink, everybody."
There was cheers and applause.
Everyone but Sam and Dean took a drink.
"'Wendigo'?" Sam asked. "Is that, uh--"
"Do it again," Bucky told them.
Everyone took a drink.
"Okay," Sam told them.
Sam and Dean raised their beers, taking a drink.
"Stop saying that, or we're not gonna make it to morning," Randy told them.
Bucky laughed.
"Didn't know the rules," Sam told them.
"You think the stories about Asa are crazy, you should hear what they say about your family," Bucky told them.
Sam and Dean exchanged a curious look.
§
Living Room
Ness was introducing Catty, Octavia and Amara to a set of fraternal twins, one man, one woman. They were holding the three babies.
"Catty, Ava, Amara, this is Max and Alicia Banes," Ness told them. "Max, Alicia, this is also Aiden, Ariel and Faith. Max and Alicia are twins. They were raised by a Witch, but they're hunters."
"Really?" Catty asked in interest, surprised.
Max and Alicia answered together. "Yep."
"She was, like, a good Witch," Max explained. "Very Enya. It was the '90s."
Alicia chuckled. "Lots of crystals. She taught me to hunt Witches. Uh, bad Witches."
Octavia nodded, smiling. "Sure." She looked at Max. "And what did she teach you?"
"Uh, mostly how to seduce men," Max answered.
"She also taught him some magic, which is actually more useful," Alicia told them.
"Eh, mostly the men thing," Max told them.
Alicia gave him a look. "Max."
Amara laughed.
Ness looked at Amara, smiling a small smile. "Yeah, I wanted to introduce you to them, because they were raised by a Witch, and they're still hunters. Them, more than anyone here, would understand what you went through."
"Yeah," Alicia agreed. "We totally get it."
"Plus, they're really funny, Amara," Ness told her.
Amara smiled.
"But not as awesome as your mom," Max told her. "Ness knows pretty much every hunter in this house, because she's worked with them personally, and she's introduced a lot of them to each other."
Octavia nodded, looking around. "That's a lot of hunters."
Catty looked at Ness teasingly, smiling.
Alicia smiled. "Yeah, Nessie's pretty legendary." She looked at Amara. "Just like your grandfather."
"You knew Grandpa Bobby, too?" Amara asked.
"Oh, yeah," Max answered. "Bobby was a grouch, but he was pretty funny, too. Not trying to be, but we couldn't help but laugh at the way he kept calling everyone 'ya idjit'."
Ness, Catty and Octavia smiled nostalgically, obviously missing Bobby.
Amara smiled, remembering the times Bobby would say that through Dean's memories, but wishing that she had been able to meet him in person.
Elvis walked up to them. "Ness Singer-Winchester."
"Elvis Katz," Ness replied. "Haven't seen you in forever."
Ness stood to hug Elvis for a moment, pulling away.
"Is this Catty, Octavia and Amara?" Elvis asked. "They are, aren't they?" He sat on the arm of the couch in front of them, facing the girls, smiling nervously. "Oh, this is nuts. Wow. Hi."
"Hey," Catty told him awkwardly.
Elvis shook their hands. "Uh, Elvis, um, Katz. Wow. Look, so thing is, I got this friend down in the States, right? Who knows this girl who knew your pal Garth."
Catty nodded. "Garth. Yeah."
"Well, he said that she said that Garth said that you are literally the mother of Sabrina," Elvis told her. "Like, Sabrina Winchester, the actual True Hybrid."
"Yeah," Catty answered.
"That's amazing," Elvis told her.
"Thanks," Catty told him.
"He said that you and your boyfriend--" Elvis started.
"Cas is my husband now, actually," Catty corrected.
Elvis nodded. "Right, your husband, sorry, Catty. Garth said that you two had to go through a lot of stuff for Sabrina to be here. Like some crazy, twisted stuff. He also said that Ava and Sam were both possessed by the Devil. Like, Lucifer, the actual, big, bad Devil. And that Ava was possessed while pregnant with Ariel and Faith and being tortured by the Darkness. And that Ness was a Demon, because of the Mark of Cain while pregnant with Aiden and Amara, which lead to side effects for both Amara and Aiden, and that because of it, the Darkness was drawn to take Amara for possession, and Amara lived, because Sabrina exorcised her out of Amara's body, and..."
Ness, Amara, Catty and Octavia looked at each other uncomfortably.
Max and Alicia spoke together. "Whoa."
"Dude, you don't just ask people about things that messed up," Alicia told him.
"Seriously, back off," Max told him.
"But it's pretty amazing, huh?" Elvis asked.
"N--It--it's really not that amazing," Octavia told them. "It--it just kind of is what it is."
"Um, I'm gonna get some fresh air," Amara told them, standing, walking away with Aiden.
Ness sighed, standing. "Amara..." She gave Elvis a look, nodding sarcastically. "Thanks, Elvis."
Elvis gave Ness a regretful, sympathetic look.
Ness walked away, following Amara.
"I'm gonna get a--a beer," Catty told them. "Ava, you good?" Octavia nodded. "Yeah? Good."
Catty stood, walking away.
Elvis sat next to Octavia. "So, what's your guys' deal?"
"Could... could you, like, go away from us now?" Octavia asked.
Elvis frowned.
Octavia waved him off.
Elvis looked away awkwardly.
§
Study
Sam and Dean were looking at an Angel Blade in a case.
Ness and Catty walked in. "Hey."
"Oh, hi," Sam told them. "This is a real Angel Blade. This guy was legit."
"Did you know people tell stories about us?" Catty asked.
"Yeah," Dean answered. "Apparently, we're a little bit legendary."
Sam nodded. "Yeah, but, I mean, so was Asa. Then a hunt went bad, and he ended up hanging from a tree, alone in the woods."
"He died on the job," Dean told them. "If you don't have a family like we do... no better way to go."
Dean looked around.
"Yeah, but we do have a family," Sam told them. "I mean, all of us now."
"Come on, Sam," Catty told him. "It's not like we're in the 'live till you're 90, die in your sleep' business."
Dean gestured to the hunter wall behind him. "This? This only ends one way."
"Yeah, but Sabrina won't necessarily let us go that easily until we tell Sow that we're ready to go," Ness told them. "But it's up to us to tell Sow when we're ready to go. And I don't know about you three, but I'm not gonna be ready to go for a long time."
Sam nodded in agreement. "Yeah. Me, neither."
"Me, neither," Dean told them.
"Same here," Catty told them.
"We should get back," Sam told them.
"Yeah," Dean agreed. He remembered something, pointing at Ness and Catty. "Oh, uh, don't say 'Wendigo' to anyone."
Ness smirked. "Oh, you found out about the drinking game, huh?"
Sam and Dean nodded. "Yep."
Ness, Sam and Dean walked out. Catty frowned in confusion, following them.
§
Night - Fox House - Living Room
Almost everyone besides Sam, Dean, Catty, Ness, Octavia, Amara, the babies, Jody, Max, Alicia, Bucky, Randy and Elvis were gone.
The only one that wasn't in the living room was Alicia.
Bucky was telling a story. "And Asa made us go roller skating, and right after these Ghouls almost got us. So, there's the four of us, all banged up, with a ton of ironic teenagers skating under these neon lights. You remember this, Ness?"
Ness smiled. "Mm-hmm."
"Oh, it was classic," Bucky told them.
Ness looked at Jody. "I mean, you know, until you two snuck off for some sweet, sweet time alone."
"Ooh," Elvis told them.
"Oh, yeah," Max told them.
"'Sweet, sweet time alone'?" Dean repeated.
"You, Jody?" Sam asked. "You didn't tell us you were in a relationship with Asa."
"Oh, it was just--it was just a casual thing," Jody told them. "Sorry, Lorraine."
Lorraine shrugged, shaking her head. "Asa was always popular with the ladies."
"Yes, he was," Max told them. "Our mom loved him. She used to talk about him all the time."
"See?" Lorraine asked.
Jody looked at Sam, Dean, Catty and Ness. "And, you know, I do have a life when you guys aren't around." She looked at Ness. "But you were there, so of course you remember that."
Ness smiled.
Randy put his bottle down. "Beer, anyone?"
"We're good," Octavia told him.
Elvis nodded in agreement. "Yeah."
"Ah, okay," Randy told them, walking out, leaving.
"And, uh, here's a news flash," Jody told them. "Dating is hard. You know, not everyone can have a fated love like your family does."
Catty smiled, taking a drink.
§
Hallway
Randy was walking through the hallway toward the kitchen to get more beer.
He heard Jody's voice from the living room. "It's not like I just turn into a boring small-town Sheriff when you guys are gone. I do stuff."
He heard Octavia's voice. "Get it, Jody."
Randy walked out of the kitchen toward the living room.
He heard Jody's voice. "I hunt. I meet people. Sometimes I..." He heard Amara laugh. "It was no big deal. Right?" Alicia was hiding in a doorway to the side, slitting Randy's throat with a knife, killing him, pulling him into the room to hide him. "You shouldn't be surprised that I'd enjoy the company of a ruggedly hot man."
§
Living Room
Alicia walked into the living room to join the others with two beers. "Amen to that."
"Can't argue with that," Max told them.
Alicia handed a beer to Max, sitting down next to him.
Elvis smiled. "Yeah."
Dean looked at Jody. "Hey, you clearly deserve your sweet, sweet time alone."
Someone walked in the front door, closing the door behind them.
"Well, I mean, it wasn't always sweet," Jody told them.
"Uh, yeah," Sam told her. "It's just not how we think of you. You know? I..."
"Good, 'cause that would honestly be weird," Jody told them.
Catty laughed. "Nobody--nobody said you can't date, right?"
"That's fair," Jody told them.
Lorraine looked at the newcomer. "Come on in. Don't hover."
Everyone followed her gaze.
Mary was in the doorway. "Sorry, I knocked." She was just as surprised to see the family as they were to see her. "Door was open."
"Hi," Amara told her.
Sam, Dean and Catty looked at Mary silently in surprise.
§
Foyer
Mary, Sam, Dean, Catty, Ness, Amara, Octavia, Jody walked into the foyer to talk alone. Ness, Amara and Octavia were holding the babies.
"What are you doing here?" Mary asked.
"What are you doing here?" Dean replied.
"We, uh..." Ness trailed off, clearing her throat. "Asa was a--a friend of mine." She gestured to Jody. "And this here is another friend of mine. Jody, Mary."
"Mom, this is Jody Mills," Sam told her.
"Mom?" Jody repeated in shock.
"Mom," Catty answered.
"Wait, m--your mom?" Jody asked.
"Yeah," Catty answered.
Jody looked at Mary. "I thought--I thought you were..."
Mary nodded. "I was."
Jody was in shock. "Wow." She looked between the family. "W--wow!" Mary smiled awkwardly. Jody gasped, hugging her. "It is so nice to meet you." She pulled away. "Wow." Dean, Sam and Catty looked down awkwardly. Ness, Amara and Octavia looked at each other. Jody picked up on the tension. "I'm gonna... I'm j--I'm gonna give you guys some, um, some family time. Wow."
Jody walked away.
"Yeah, I'm gonna go outside, take Ariel and Faith away from all the noise," Octavia told them. "Get some fresh air."
"I'll go with you, Aunt Ava, take Aiden," Amara told her. "Help you take care of Ariel, Faith and Aiden outside."
"Thank you, Amara," Octavia told her.
Sam and Ness nodded.
Octavia was already holding Ariel, taking Faith from Amara so that Amara could take Aiden from Ness. They walked outside.
Ness looked at Mary. "Where you been?"
"All over," Mary answered. "I went back to Lawrence for a few days. And then, um, I've been using John's journal to retrace a few things. Try to catch up on what I've missed."
Dean nodded. "You could've just asked us, you know."
"Dean, come on," Ness told him.
"She could've," Dean told them.
"It's okay," Mary told them. "He's right. But... this is something I needed to do alone. I... Listen, most of the people I knew are dead. And then I remembered Asa. He was so young when I met him, I thought he must still be around. And then... I saw an article about his death, and, uh..."
"So, you'll text us once a week, maybe, but you'll drive all the way to Canada to see some dead guy?" Dean asked. Sam gave him a look. "Well, that's awesome. I'm just gonna be elsewhere."
Dean turned to leave.
Mary sighed. "Dean, wait."
Dean walked away.
Mary started to follow.
Catty put out a hand to stop her.
Dean got to the door.
Ness followed him. "Dean?"
Dean turned to face Ness. "Yeah?"
"You okay?" Ness asked.
Dean sighed. "Swell."
Ness nodded, unconvinced. "Huh."
"Yeah, no big deal," Dean told her.
"That's a lie," Ness told him.
"Ness..." Dean trailed off.
"Dean, this is epic stuff, but you know..." Ness trailed off, sighing. "If I could have my dad and my mom back? I mean... really back, I would give anything. Absolutely anything to have that. And it would scare the hell out of me."
"Yeah?" Dean asked.
"Yeah," Ness answered. "'Cause what if I've changed? What if they changed? What if it just didn't work out the way I wanted? If you wanna talk about anything, absolutely anything, I'm here."
Dean nodded gratefully. "I know, Ness. You always are."
"And I always will be," Ness told him. "Come on. You know, you can get to know my friends. Get some friends of your own. After losing so many friends, maybe we can get acquainted with some of them."
Dean nodded. "Okay."
Ness smiled, pulling him closer. "I know it's intense right now. But I think things are gonna be okay."
Dean nodded. "No, I know that. You know why?"
"Why?" Ness asked.
"Because my all-knowing wife says so," Dean told her.
Ness chuckled, smiling. "Come here."
They kissed slowly and softly, pulling away after a moment. They walked together into the living room.
§
Kitchen
Mary was in the kitchen, getting a beer.
Lorraine walked in. "Asa's favorite. Tastes awful. I'm Lorraine Fox, Asa's mom."
"Mary Winchester," Mary told her.
Lorraine looked at her in surprise. "No, you're not. Asa told me about you, but... you'd be my age. So how..."
"It's a long story," Mary told her.
"I'll bet," Lorraine told her.
"I'm sorry," Mary told her.
"You should be," Lorraine told her. "Like I said, Asa told me about you." She walked closer, putting her drink down. "You're the reason my son didn't become an astronaut." She reached into a cupboard, taking out a box of letters and postcards, walking toward Mary. "Here." She handed the box to Mary. "Asa wrote those to you over the years, but couldn't send them because you're so 'mysterious'."
Mary looked at the first postcard, looking up, avoiding her gaze. "I saved his life."
Lorraine scoffed. "What am I supposed to say to that? After you, Asa got so... Hunting was his whole life. He never married, never had a family, kids. And now... Enjoy the wake."
Lorraine walked out, leaving.
Mary watched her go sadly, sighing.
§
Hallway
Sam walked in to see Mary. "Hey."
"Hey," Mary told him.
"Everything all right?" Sam asked.
"I'm fine," Mary told him, handing him the box of letters and postcards. "It's fine."
Mary walked away.
Sam followed. "Are you sure?"
§
Study
Mary and Sam walked into the study.
Mary turned on the light. "I saved Asa when he was a boy. All of this, it's on me."
"Well, no," Sam told her. "Obviously, Mom, he made his own decisions. And he helped a lot of people, you know?"
"Yeah, I don't know," Mary told him. "I just don't know anymore." She sighed, shaking her head. "Everywhere I go, and everything I do, just... feels wrong." She looked down, sighing. "But I'll get used to it." She turned to face Sam. "Being back here, I will. I just..."
"Yeah, Mom, you don't have to explain anything," Sam told her. "I get it. You need space. And--and so do Dean and Catty, you know? I--I mean, he--they just... We just got you back..."
§
Living Room
Dean and Catty were in the living room with Ness and the other hunters.
Dean was trying his best to get into the conversations, though his mood dampened the efforts a bit.
Sam: (voice over) "And they're just scared we're gonna lose you again."
Catty was gazing off, taking a drink of beer.
Sam: (voice over) "That--that because we're hunters... and because Dean and Ness had Aiden and Amara, two kids that were affected by the Mark of Cain when Ness had the Mark and pregnant with Aiden and Amara, and Catty had a True Hybrid as a daughter, Sabrina, and fell in love with and married an Angel, Cas... you're gonna walk away."
§
Study
Mary and Sam were still talking.
"But I know that's not true," Sam told her. "Because I fell in love with and married an Angel, Ava, and had Nephilim children, Ariel and Faith. Even looking at these..." He gestured to the box. "I mean, you saved Asa in 1980, um, after Dean was born, after everyone thought you quit hunting. Seems like you couldn't stop then, and... I'm guessing you can't stop now, either." Mary looked up sheepishly. "This job, this life... it's crazy and insane. But it's in our blood. We were chosen for this. All of this. Some of it sucks, and some... it gives us gifts. Like Sabrina, Amara. Aiden, Ariel, Faith. And you." Mary smiled a small smile. "Come on."
"Where we going?" Mary asked.
"To say goodbye to Asa," Sam answered.
They walked out of the study.
§
Parlor
Sam and Mary walked into the parlor where Asa's body was wrapped in a sheet on the pool table.
Mary pulled back the sheet to reveal his face, sighing.
Sam and Mary both looked pensive.
Blood started to drip onto Asa's forehead.
Sam and Mary were confused and suspicious, looking up at the ceiling.
Randy's body was tied to a ceiling beam above Asa's body. Blood from his slit throat was dripping onto his forehead.
§
Living Room
Catty, Dean, Ness, Jody, Bucky, Max, Alicia, Randy, and Lorraine were still talking.
Bucky was telling more stories. "And Asa loved that Jeep. Fuses were shorted, fuel line was busted. Ah, he didn't care. He'd just roll up his sleeves, he'd get right to work."
Mary and Sam walked in.
"Guys, we need to leave now," Sam told them.
Dean stood in confusion. "Sammy?"
"Randy's dead," Sam told them.
"What happened?" Ness asked.
"Someone gutted him and roped him to the ceiling," Mary answered. "That's what happened."
Elvis walked in. "Anyone know why the water's shut off? God, what's that smell?"
Sam, Ness, Dean and Catty answered together. "Sulfur."
Everyone stood.
Electricity started to crackle.
"Wait," Max told them.
"It's a Demon," Mary told them.
"Yeah," Ness agreed.
"It's him," Bucky told them, taking Lorraine by the hand, leading the group into the foyer.
"Him?" Catty repeated.
The others followed.
§
Foyer
The group walked toward the front door.
"Jael," Bucky explained. "He's a Crossroads Demon. And he hangs people. It's his thing. Snaps their necks, slits their throat. He's a real piece of work."
"Hanging?" Ness asked. "Like with Asa?"
"He's the one that killed him," Bucky told them, trying to open the door to no avail.
Dean tried to help him to no avail. "Son of a bitch. Let me."
"You're wasting your time," Max told them, using magic to illuminate spellwork written over the door. "The whole house has been warded, inside and out."
"What does that mean?" Jody asked.
"It means we're trapped," Alicia answered.
Everyone looked at each other anxiously.
§
Outside
Octavia was putting Ariel and Faith into the carseats in the backseat of her Camaro.
Amara was putting Aiden into the carseat in the backseat of the Impala.
They heard someone behind them, turning around to see Billie the Reaper, looking at her in surprise.
"Billie?" Amara asked.
"Hello, Amara," Billie told her. "How's Human treating you, Octavia?"
"Better than some Angels," Octavia answered. Billie smirked in amusement. "What are you doing here?"
"My job," Billie answered.
Amara chuckled. "Well, we're not dead yet."
"Shame," Billie told them. "But actually, I just finished inside. I was Reaping a fresh soul."
Octavia and Amara realized what she meant, exchanging a look, turning worried, walking toward the house.
§
Inside - Foyer
The group was talking.
"Look, back in '97, Asa was working this case in Yellow Knife, all right?" Bucky asked. "A possession of a First Nations girl. Got real bad, real bloody."
"Was it, uh, Jael?" Dean asked.
Bucky nodded. "Asa exorcised him, but not before Jael killed the girl. He made her tie a noose around her neck, and he made Asa watch."
Mary looked down, disturbed.
§
Outside
Amara and Octavia ran up to the front door, knocking.
"Mom?" Amara called. "Dad? Uncle Sam? Aunt Catty? Grandma Mary?"
"Sam?" Octavia called. "Catty?" She tried to open the door to no avail. "Mary? Dean? Ness?"
"You can huff and puff, but that house is on supernatural lockdown," Billie told them. "They can't even hear you. And if Catty tries to pray to Sabrina from in there, she won't be able to hear her, not with the warding that the Demon put up."
"What, Hybrid Warding?" Octavia asked.
"Yes, ma'am, and more," Billie answered. "Not even Sabrina can get in there."
§
Inside - Foyer
The group was talking.
"All right, an exorcism, it ain't like an Angel Blade," Bucky told them.
"Yeah, it's not permanent," Sam told them.
"Exactly," Ness told them.
"Right, so five years later, Jael, he came back and he came for Asa," Bucky told them.
"How so?" Jody asked.
"Asa was seeing this woman, right?" Bucky asked. "She had a kid..."
Lorraine pointed at him. "Marlene."
Bucky nodded. "Yeah, Marlene."
§
Outside
Amara was trying to break down the door from the outside.
§
Inside - Foyer
The group was still talking.
"Jael got into her," Bucky told them. "It didn't matter that he was killing people. He wanted Asa to know it was personal. He gets off on it."
§
Outside
Octavia picked up a statue, throwing it at the door to try to get it open, but it didn't even budge, and the group inside didn't even hear it.
§
Inside - Foyer
The group was still talking.
"Yeah, and now he's here, possessing someone," Catty told them.
"Yeah, but who?" Mary asked.
Elvis pointed at Alicia. "Alicia wasn't in the room when Randy died. The rest of us were."
"I was getting a drink," Alicia told them.
"Ava and Amara weren't in the room, either," Max told them.
"So, it's Alicia, Ava or Amara," Bucky told them.
Everyone looked at Alicia.
"I'm not," Alicia told them. "Throw some Holy Water on me. See what happens."
Everyone checked their pockets.
"Anybody packing?" Sam asked.
"We can just make more," Mary told them.
"Uh, no, we can't," Dean told them. "The water's off."
Elvis pointed at Alicia. "She knew it. You knew that."
"Oh, come on," Alicia told him.
Everyone looked at Alicia.
§
Outside
Octavia and Amara turned to face Billie.
"What did you do?" Amara asked.
"It wasn't me," Billie told her. "I don't get my hands dirty. Rules. I just clean up the mess. Still, between us girls, Amara, it's always nice to see a Winchester, even one by newly marriage, who can't get what they want. Especially when Octavia doesn't have her Grace anymore, so she can't blast her way inside. And when the option for your little cousin Sabrina to help is thrown out. Go ahead, Amara, pray to her. See if she can hear you over all of the warding around all the land."
Amara glared at Billie. "You think this is funny? Huh? People are dying in there."
"Everyone dies," Billie told them.
Octavia and Amara glared at her.
§
Inside - Foyer
The group was talking.
"I think Ava and Amara are still outside," Ness told them.
Catty looked at Alicia. "That does narrow it down."
Alicia started to cough.
Max stepped closer in concern. "Alicia?"
Alicia started to giggle, looking up. "Alicia's not here right now." Jael let her eyes turn completely red. "Leave a message." Alicia/Jael backhand punched Max in the face, making him fall. Bucky and Elvis caught him from falling. Alicia/Jael laughed. "Oh, you're a fun group. We're gonna have a good time tonight."
Alicia/Jael tilted her head back, releasing his Demon smoke into the air, swirling around, disappearing. Alicia fell to the floor.
"It's gone," Elvis told them.
Max knelt next to his sister. "Alicia, are you..."
"It's not gone," Dean told them. "It's just not in Alicia anymore."
Max and Ness helped Alicia stand.
"Lorraine, is there anyone else in the house?" Sam asked.
"I don't know," Lorraine told them. "People have been coming and going all day."
"Okay, we're gonna pair off," Jody told them. "We're gonna search the house. For people, not for Demons. You find a Demon, yell. We'll find you. And if your partner gets possessed, run."
Sam nodded to Mary. "Mom."
Dean nodded to his wife. "Ness."
"Jody," Catty told her, nodding for her to follow her.
Sam and Mary walked out of the room in one direction. Catty and Jody walked out of the room in the other. Dean and Ness walked out in another. Max and Alicia left together. Bucky and Elvis stayed with Lorraine.
§
Outside
Octavia, Amara and Billie were talking.
Octavia turned to face Billie, pointing at her. "You got in there. You got in to Reap that soul. You can get us in."
"I could, I suppose," Billie told them. "But--"
"Do it," Amara told her. "Like you said, Sabrina can't hear us praying over all of the damn warding."
"But it's a one-way ticket," Billie told them. "And you're gonna owe me one."
§
Inside - Foyer
Elvis walked toward Lorraine with a glass. "I got you a double."
Lorraine took the glass from him, taking a drink.
Octavia and Amara were thrown through the door inside with a burst of light. They fell to the floor.
Elvis and Lorraine were startled and in shock.
Octavia and Amara stood.
Octavia drew her Angel Sword.
"Where's our family?" Amara asked.
Octavia and Amara started to walk past them.
Elvis turned after them, grabbing Amara by the arm. "Hey, hold up." Amara pulled her arm out of his grip forcefully. "How did you--"
Lorraine pointed at Octavia and Amara. "They're Demons!"
"Demons?" Amara repeated.
Lorraine looked at Elvis, pointing at Octavia and Amara. "Kill them!"
"Whoa, whoa, whoa," Octavia told them. "Easy. Look. We're not Demons, okay? We're the good guys. Now, stick with us, do what I say, and everybody will get out of here, okay? Everybody."
Elvis smirked. "Well..." He took out a knife. "Not everybody."
Elvis/Jael let his eyes turn completely red.
§
Elvis/Jael let his eyes return to normal, slashing his knife toward Amara. Amara dodged. Elvis/Jael tried to stab her.
Amara ducked to the side, making him step past her toward the doorway behind her, spinning to face him. "You're kind of slow for a Demon, aren't you?"
Elvis/Jael chuckled. "Careful now. You'll hurt my feelings, and I might lash out." Amara tilted her head, bored and unamused. Octavia rolled her eyes, spinning the Angel Sword in her hand. Elvis/Jael tried to stab her. Octavia ducked. Elvis/Jael slashed toward her. Octavia raised the Angel Sword to block the move, pushing him off of her. "You're not as good of a fighter as you were when you were an Angel, are you, Octavia?"
"I'm good enough to get by," Octavia told him. "How about you go to Hell?"
Elvis/Jael smiled. "Please. It's a complete train wreck down there. No Lucifer, no Crowley. It's messy."
Elvis/Jael tried to stab Octavia.
Octavia raised her Angel Sword to block the move, twisting the knife out of his grasp, pushing him away, turning to face him. "No, I mean, really, go to Hell." She started the exorcism chant from memory. "Exorcizamus te omnis..."
"An exorcism?" Elvis/Jael asked skeptically.
Octavia continued. "Immundus spiritus, omnis satanica potestas--"
Elvis/Jael shook his head. "Uh-uh. Elvis is leaving the building."
Elvis/Jael snapped Elvis's neck, making it turn all the way around.
Lorraine was watching from the staircase, screaming.
Jael's black smoke poured out of Elvis's body, fleeing up the stairs. Elvis's body fell to the floor.
Lorraine started to cry.
Amara walked toward her. "Come on. Come on, come on. Dad? Mom? Uncle Sammy? Aunt Catty? Grandma Mary?"
"Sam, Dean," Octavia called. "Ness, Catty. Mary?"
Sam, Mary, Catty, Dean and Ness walked in, looking at them in relief.
"Hey," Sam told them.
"Hey," Octavia told them.
Ness sighed in relief. "Ava. Amara, we thought you were outside."
"Yeah, we got back in," Amara told them.
Jody and Bucky walked into the room.
"How?" Sam asked.
"It was a one-time deal," Amara told them. "Won't happen again."
"Aiden, Ariel and Faith?" Dean asked.
"Ironically, safe outside with a different kind of guardian Angel watching over them," Octavia answered. Max and Alicia walked in. "Is this everybody?"
"Except for Elvis," Jody answered.
Lorraine looked down sadly.
"Yeah, Demon got him," Octavia told them, pointing to Elvis's body.
The lights powered down.
Everyone pulled out a flashlight, lighter or their phone to use for light.
"Well, at least we're all prepared," Amara told them.
Catty spun her Demon Blade in her hand. "Yep."
Octavia raised her Angel Sword.
Alicia looked from the Demon Blade to the Angel Sword. "Mm, impressive."
"Demon Blade," Catty told them. "Kills them dead."
"Angel Sword," Octavia told them. "Better than an Angel Blade. Kills pretty much anything dead."
Max and Alicia spoke together. "Nice."
"We gotta light some candles," Bucky told them.
"Yeah," Dean agreed. "Hey, Devil's Trap."
"On it," Sam told them.
"Yep," Ness told them.
The group walked along.
§
Living Room
They walked into the living room, moving the furniture to make room.
"All right, uh, but how are we gonna lure it inside?" Mary asked.
"We're not," Ness answered. "We get in. Everybody's in, everybody's clean. If someone won't get in..."
"They're the Demon," Mary finished.
"That's right," Ness told her.
Mary smiled a small smile. "Smart."
"Thanks," Ness told her.
Sam, Dean, Catty, Amara and Octavia smiled at the fact that Ness and Mary were more than just getting along.
Mary walked out of the room.
Everyone else was either lighting candles or making a Devil's Trap.
§
Study
Mary walked into the study to grab Asa's Angel Blade from its case, walking out, leaving.
§
Living Room
Jody, Amara, Dean, Catty and Bucky were lighting candles.
Sam, Ness, Octavia, Alicia and Max were making the Devil's Trap out of the fireplace ash.
"What kind of a Devil's Trap?" Max asked.
"Standard pentagram," Sam answered. "Nothing fancy."
"I like a Fifth Pentacle of Mars," Max told them. "It's got more character."
"Because character is what really matters right now," Amara told him sarcastically.
Ness smiled a small smile.
"What?" Dean asked.
"Nothing," Ness told him. "It's just that, remember, in my dad's house, we had a Fifth Pentacle of Mars Devil's Trap on the ceiling in the library."
Dean nodded. "Right, right. Yeah, I remember."
Mary returned to the room.
Jody walked toward Catty, whispering to her quietly. "Catty... this is awkward. I'm owning that. But the Demon... I think it's in your mom."
They looked toward Mary.
"She looks okay to me," Catty told her.
"I may not know much, but I know people don't 'look' possessed," Jody told her. "No, I saw her sneak out of the room when you started talking about the Devil's Trap. Where did she go? I mean, I know she's family, but, Catty..."
Sam, Dean, Ness, Octavia and Amara walked toward them.
"What's going on?" Amara asked.
"Uh..." Catty trailed off. "Jody thinks that Mom--"
"No, I don't think," Jody told them. "I know." She spoke loudly, for everyone else to hear, pointing at Mary. "I know she's a Demon!"
Bucky backed away from Mary.
"Hey," Mary told him.
"Kill her!" Jody told them. "Use the sword. Kill her now!"
Bucky raised his knife.
"Whoa, whoa, whoa," Dean told him. "Wait."
"Hold on a second," Sam told them. "Jody, you... you don't sound like yourself."
"That's because she's not herself," Octavia told them. She looked at Jody/Jael. "Are you?"
Everyone looked at Jody/Jael.
Jody/Jael started to laugh. "Can't blame a girl for trying."
Jody/Jael let her eyes turn completely red, smiling evilly.
§
Everyone looked at Jody/Jael.
Jody/Jael let her eyes return to normal, looking at Catty, Sam and Dean. "I had so hoped you'd kill your mom. Wouldn't that be a riot?"
"Yeah, super fun," Dean told her sarcastically.
Jody/Jael laughed.
Sam lunged toward her.
Jody/Jael pushed Sam into the wall, making him fall. "No." Dean lunged toward her. Jody/Jael pushed Dean over a table, making him flip over it to the floor. "Anybody else?" No one moved or spoke. "Nope?" Mary pulled out the Angel Blade. "Fine."
Mary lunged at Jody/Jael, trying to stab her with the Angel Blade.
Jody/Jael raised her hand to block the move, receiving the cut there instead.
Catty held Mary back from another attack. "No! Mom!"
"What are you doing?" Mary asked. "She's a Demon. We kill Demons."
"No, but she's Jody," Catty told her. "We can save her."
"Boring!" Jody/Jael told them, clapping her hands over her head, using magic to push everyone to the floor, pinning them down, making Catty and Mary drop the Demon and Angel Blades, making Octavia drop her Angel Sword, kicking them away. "Oh, I have heard so many stories about you Winchesters." She/he walked toward Catty. "And it's not so easy to fight against the forces of darkness without your trusty daughter on standby, is it?" She/he looked at Sam and Octavia. "And I desperately want the Lucifer possessing two people in the same marriage to be true. The idea that he left not just one meat suit alive, but two is just so deliciously weak." She/he looked at at Amara. "And the same thing goes for the Darkness's vessel. You were possessed by the all-powerful Darkness herself, but she was exorcised from your body by your cousin. But even after all this time, you have literal darkness inside of you, and it's probably never gonna come out." Amara glared at her/him, struggling. "As for the rest of you, I have been inside your heads." Jody/Jael paced around the Devil's Trap without stepping inside, acting like he was walking on a tightrope with her arms held out. "I know all about you. For example, the twins, too frightened to tell anyone that they actually came to say goodbye to their daddy." Lorraine looked up, realizing that Max and Alicia were Asa's children. Jody/Jael mimed a tear falling down her cheek, laughing. "Or the grieving mother who hated the fact that her son was a hunter so much, she'd hide his gear, she'd sabotage his Jeep, anything to keep him from hunting. Not that it worked. Could've tried harder, huh? And this... meat suit you all seem to care so much about, she actually fantasized about a life with Asa." She/he laughed. "Can you believe that? Like that worthless man--"
Bucky pushed his way up from the floor. "Shut your filthy mouth."
Jody/Jael gripped Bucky by the throat, forcing him to his knees. "And you..." Bucky coughed, gasping for breath. Ness, Octavia, Sam, Dean and Catty were struggling against the invisible force that kept them pinned to the floor. "Brave, brave Bucky. I was there that night. Tell these nice, stupid people what you did. Tell them what you took from me. Asa was mine."
Sam and Dean pushed themselves up. "Exorcizamus te, omnis immundus spiritus..."
Jody/Jael thrust her hand toward Sam and Dean, using magic to push them against the wall. "No."
Sam and Dean fell to the floor. "Omnis satancia po..."
Catty and Octavia pushed themselves up. "Omnis incursio infernalis adversarii. Omn--"
Jody/Jael waved her arm, using magic to throw Catty and Octavia through a set of glass doors, making them shatter and the girls fall to the floor, gripping Bucky by the head from behind. "Tell them!"
Mary continued the exorcism. "Omnis legio. Omnis congregatio et secta diabolica--"
Jody/Jael thrust her hand toward Mary, using magic to slam her against the wall, making her fall.
"I killed him!" Bucky told them. "I killed him. I killed Asa."
Jody/Jael threw Bucky to the floor.
Ness and Amara pushed themselves up, finishing the exorcism together. "Omnis legio diabolica, adiuramus te."
Jody/Jael turned to retaliate against Ness and Amara, but the exorcism was over, forcing Jael's black Demon smoke to evacuate her body, being sent straight to Hell, and making Jody fall to the floor.
Mary stood, looking at them in relief, breathing heavily.
Amara was breathing heavily. Dean and Ness looked at Amara proudly, pulling her into their arms. Amara managed a small smile.
Sam and Octavia helped each other stand.
Catty crawled closer to Jody. "Jody, you okay?"
Catty knelt next to Jody.
Jody was breathing heavily, speaking in a strained voice. "That... sucked."
Catty hugged Jody.
Sam and Octavia sighed in relief.
Bucky stood.
Lorraine glared at him. "Bucky, what did you do?"
Everyone looked at Bucky.

Bucky was still breathing heavily, looking at all of the stares that he got from everyone. "Asa. He was just al..." He exhaled, sighing. "He was just always so stubborn." Lorraine stood. "Look... we were in the woods."

Flashback
Night - Woods
Asa and Bucky were in the woods.
Asa turned to face Bucky, pushing him.
Bucky: (voice over) "He called me a coward, and he shoved me."
Bucky pushed Asa to the ground.
Bucky: (voice over) "So, I shoved him back, and he fell..."
Asa hit his head on a rock behind him, cracking it open.
Bucky: (voice over) "And he hit his head."
Bucky looked at him worriedly. "Asa?"
Bucky: (voice over) "I didn't mean to do it. But it was a mistake."
Bucky ran toward the body. "Asa. Asa!"
Bucky knelt next to the body. He felt for a pulse, but he didn't find one. He felt the back of Asa's head, receiving blood on his fingers from where he hit the rock.
Bucky: (voice over) "An accident. I'm sorry. I didn't know what to do."

Bucky continued to explain to the group. "Asa hated that damn Demon so much that I just..."
"Oh, you thought that people would buy that Jael killed him?" Dean asked. "So, you hung your best friend to cover your own ass."

Now
Night - Fox House - Living Room
The group looked at Bucky incredulously in accusation and disappointment, angry.
"What are you gonna do to me?" Bucky asked.
Max and Alicia stood.
"Tell everyone, every hunter we meet," Alicia answered. "They're gonna know your name, Bucky, know what you did."
Bucky nodded.
"You like stories?" Max asked. "This is the story everyone's gonna tell about you. Forever."
Everyone decided that this was the fair punishment.

Day Two
Morning - Fox House - Outside
It was the next morning outside of the house. The survivors were giving Asa, Randy and Elvis a mass hunter's funeral, watching their bodies burn inside of sheets on the funeral pyre, still in their clothes from the day before.
Sam, Octavia, Dean, Ness, Amara and Catty were standing by the Impala and Octavia's Camaro.
Max and Alicia were standing by their car.
Jody, Mary and Lorraine were standing by the pyre, watching the flames.
Lorraine looked at Mary. "I was wrong. Asa did have a family. He even had kids. I've got grandchildren. Suppose I should go meet them."
Jody and Mary smiled small, encouraging, sympathetic smiles.
Lorraine walked toward Alicia and Max. The three of them embraced.
Mary looked at Jody. "Sorry."
Jody looked at the wound on her hand from the Angel Blade. "Oh, I've had worse." She looked toward the family by their cars. She looked at Mary. "I don't know what's going on between you and your family, but I gotta tell you, Mom to Mom... they are good people. Best I've ever met."
"I know," Mary told her. "They're not the problem."
Jody nodded in understanding, walking away.
Catty, Dean and Sam walked toward Mary. Octavia, Ness and Amara followed more slowly.
"Mom?" Catty asked. "You okay?"
Billie appeared. "She's really not."
They looked at her.
"Billie?" Ness asked.
"Who's..." Mary trailed off.
"She's a Reaper," Octavia answered. "She's the one that got me and Amara back inside."
"And now you owe me one," Billie told them. She looked at Mary. "This one. This one right here."
They looked at her in surprise.
"What?" Amara asked.
"See, I'm a big believer in what dies, stays dead," Billie told her. "Laws of the universe and all that, so..."
"I didn't ask to come back here," Mary told her.
"No, you didn't," Billie agreed. "And you hate it. The look in your eyes? I've seen it before. It's a dead man's look. Eyes that say no matter where you go or what you do, it feels like this world doesn't fit anymore, like you're all alone."
"Well, she's not alone," Catty told her.
Mary looked at her family.
Billie looked at Mary. "Tell me I'm wrong." Mary looked down. Catty, Dean and Sam looked at her in concern. Octavia, Ness and Amara were worried. Billie stepped closer to Mary. "I'm not here to hurt you. I'm here to offer you mercy. A one-way ticket upstairs, away from all of this."
Mary seemed to be considering it. "How would it work?"
"Mom?" Sam asked.
"You just kill me again?" Mary asked.
Billie shook her head. "Reapers don't kill people. Rules."
Mary nodded in understanding, looking down. "Well..." She looked at her family. "Then..." They looked at her expectantly, waiting for her answer. Catty, Dean and Sam looked scared that they were going to lose her again. Octavia, Ness and Amara were worried about losing her so soon after finally being able to meet her. Mary looked at Billie. "Then I guess you're just gonna have to wait."
Mary smiled a small smile.
Billie glared between them. "Winchesters." Catty, Dean and Sam looked at Mary in surprise. Ness and Octavia smiled a small smile in relief. Amara smirked smugly at Billie. Billie looked at Mary. "If you change your mind..." She looked between the family. "If any of you change your minds... You know my name."
Billie disappeared, leaving.
They looked at Mary in relief.
"Does this mean you're coming home?" Sam asked.
Mary nodded. "Yeah." They smiled. "Not quite yet. I just need a little more time."
"Can we buy you breakfast, at least?" Dean asked.
Mary smiled a small smile. "Bacon?"
Amara nodded. "All the bacon."
Mary smiled. "I would love that."
Sam and Octavia wrapped an arm around each other, walking toward the cars.
Dean and Ness wrapped an arm around Amara from either side, following them.
Catty and Mary smiled, following them.
The three bodies in the funeral pyre had burned away into ash, the flames no more.
