chapter 21 - There's Something About Octavia

THEN

From 12.18 "The Memory Remains", in the Bunker, Ketch's team was going through the Bunker, placing bugs.

Ketch: (voice over from 12.18 The Memory Remains) "Dr. Hess wants to know everything about the Winchesters."

From 12.17 "The British Invasion", in the junkyard, Amara fired the Colt at Dagon, just as she disappeared, taking Kelly with her. The bullet from the Colt continued on its path to hit Renny in the chest.

Hess: (voice over from 12.17 The British Invasion) "These hunters are out of control, the family Winchester in particular."

From 12.01 and 12.02, there were flashes of Toni, with the help of Watt and Barclay, torturing Ness, Octavia and Amara, when Ava didn't have her Grace.

Hess: (voice over from 12.17 The British Invasion) "Which Lady Bevell has exhaustively documented."

From 12.17, 12.18, 12.19, there were flashes of Octavia being tortured, while they were trying to rewire her brain, having Enochian warded wires in her skull.

Hess: (voice over from 12.17 The British Invasion) "With the spell we're concocting with the Angels' brainwashing of you, we'll be able to rewire your thoughts and feelings, into ours."

"How do you know that Sabrina, Ariel and Faith won't just heal me from the damage that you do to me, once they find me?" Octavia asked.

"Because with this spell, if Sabrina, Ariel and Faith try to heal you, or Castiel and Levi, they'll only damage your mind further than it will already be," Ketch answered. "It will make the brainwashing, the anger, whatever fire you feel inside, all the more worse, and they may never see their precious Ava again."

From 12.18 "The Memory Remains", in Octavia's mind space, Sam was standing behind Octavia, the hallucination taunting her. "The spell that is rewiring your brain, burning your subconscious, making you more angry and more violent than you have ever been. They could heal you bit by bit so that they're not risking damaging you forever. But if you go too long without being healed even a little bit, you'll start to go mad again. You know that you can keep it up for as long as you can. But you know you can't do that forever."

Octavia couldn't control it when she stabbed Sam, making the image fade and disappear, breathing heavily in worry and horror, though still consumed with anger, dropping the blade to the floor.

Octavia: (voice over from 12.18 The Memory Remains) "You want the anger and rage to consume me? Well, that part is working, I'll grant you that."

From 12.19 "The Future", in Octavia's mind space, a hallucination of Amara was taunting Octavia.

Octavia shook her head angrily. "I'm not killing anyone. Least of all my family."

"You won't have a say in who you will and won't kill soon," Amara told her.

"Just because Aiden and Amara might have powers because Ness was pregnant with them when she had the Mark of Cain, doesn't mean that they should die," Octavia told her. "Just because Sam, Dean, Catty and Ness are hunters, doesn't mean that should die. Just because Brandon turned his back on your organization doesn't mean that he should. Just because Cas and Levi would stand in your way of getting to Sabrina, Ariel and Faith doesn't mean they should die."

"We will have complete control over you," Amara told her. "And then you will kill who we want when we want. Even the ones that you love the most."

Octavia was so overcome with anger she sent a burst of her power toward Amara to throw her back through the air, making the hallucination of Amara fade and disappear.

Hess: (voice over from 12.17 The British Invasion) "The grand experiment recruiting American hunters has failed, utterly."

From 12.17 "The British Invasion", in her cell, Octavia looked at Hess. "I still don't know what you want me to do about that."

Hess smirked sarcastically. "I want you to exterminate them. Every. last. one."

From 12.20 "Twigs & Twine & Brandon's Time", in the library of the Bunker, Sam looked at Dean, Ness, Amara and Catty. "Sabrina, Ariel and Faith are setting up a safe house for Cas and Levi to protect Kelly until we figure out how to help her and the kids. But Brandon's out there trying to be on the lookout for Ava, like we are."

From 12.20 "Twigs & Twine & Brandon's Time", in the motel room, Brandon was on the phone with Ketch, uncovering Mick's voicemail. "You mind telling me what the hell happened to my father, Ketch?"

"I believe you already know the answer to that, Brandon," Ketch told him.

"Of course I do," Brandon answered, completely angry and despaired. "And believe me when I say that I'm going to make you pay. Amara once promised me that if our men ever hurt anyone else again for the wrong reasons, that she and her family would burn this organization to the ground. Since I know now that you're behind the death of my father, I'm going to help them bring all of you down to your own. See you soon."

From 12.20 "Twigs & Twine & Brandon's Time", in Octavia's cell, Octavia glared at the Brit that was casting the spell over her. "When I get free of here, you're the first person that I'll kill." She looked at Ketch. "I would love to kill you myself, but I'm thinking it'd be more poetic if Brandon killed you." Toni walked in, smirking. Octavia glared at her angrily in recognition. "You."

Toni smirked. "Me." She sat in front of Octavia, uncapping her pen, opening her notebook of spellwork. "Now, Octavia. Let's begin again. You're close to a breaking point. I believe that we'll reach our destination soon."

NOW

Day One

Night - Woods

Eileen Leahy was running for her life through the woods. A Hellhound was fast on her trail, chasing her through the woods, barking and growling viciously. Eileen stopped running, turning to fire her gun at where she thought the Hellhound was. The Hellhound tackled Eileen down, starting to tear her apart, making her scream in agony.

Ketch blew a high-pitched whistle to end the attack after Eileen was dead. "Good puppy."

Ketch fed a treat to the Hellhound, walking toward Eileen's body.

Day Two

Morning - The Bunker - Library

Mary had come to talk to Sam, Dean, Catty, Ness and Amara. "Wait, so what's happening?"

"Sabrina, Ariel, Faith, Cas and Levi are looking out for Kelly and her kids," Sam answered. "While Brandon, Sow, Ariel and Faith are still looking for Ava."

"Yeah, and they've also been using their power to hide Brandon from the BMOL," Amara added. "Brandon said that he found a problem and he didn't call back after that."

"Now, Brandon's hidden by Sabrina, Ariel and Faith's powers," Ness told her.

Catty sighed. "We think that he's still okay."

"But there's something that he can't talk over the phone about," Dean explained. "Which is why he's on his way here."

Ness' phone rang. She took it out, seeing that Jody was calling, answering. "Jody, hey. No. What?" She was stunned and sad. "No, uh... no, we hadn't heard."

"What?" Sam asked.

Ness held up a finger, returning to the call. "Um, when? What the hell happened? Oh, no. No, I--I... yeah, thanks for letting me know. Bye."

Ness hung up, looking at the others sadly, silently communicating that another one of their hunter friends had died.

"Who?" Amara asked.

"Eileen," Ness answered.

They reacted sadly, but not in surprise.

"How?" Catty asked.

"She was, uh, mauled by a wild animal in the wooded area that doesn't have animals that do that, in South Carolina," Ness answered.

"But I thought she was in Ireland," Dean told them. Ness shrugged sadly in confusion, turning away, overwhelmed. "Nessie..."

Catty turned to face them. "Guys, that's the second hunter death we've heard about in two weeks."

"I know, Catty," Dean told her. "But two doesn't mean a pattern."

"But considering that hunters are dying, Brandon's calling about a crisis, and Aunt Ava's still missing..." Amara trailed off. "That's three."

Mary looked at them sadly. "People who do what we do, you know there are gonna be deaths."

"But the way Jody was talking about it, the wounds, the description matches only one kind of creature," Ness told them.

"Hellhound?" Catty asked.

"Yep," Ness answered.

"But it doesn't make any sense," Dean told them. "Why would a--why would a Demon sic a Hellhound on her? Why did she leave Ireland?"

"I don't know, Dad," Amara told him.

Sam checked his phone. "All right. Well, counting Eileen, that makes seven hunters in three weeks."

"Yeah, and those are the ones we know about," Catty told them.

"Seven monster related deaths," Amara told them. "I mean, what, did all the things out there suddenly start working together?"

"Amara, monsters and Demons don't team up," Catty told her.

"Seven hunters are gone," Sam told them. "Sabrina, Ariel and Faith are doing everything they can to protect Cas, Levi and Kelly. And look for Ava at the same time. Brandon has some crisis that he has to tell us when he gets here. I--I..." He sighed deeply, feeling an anger that he wasn't used to showing, but was completely overwhelmed with everything going on that he didn't care if he showed it, especially with Ava still out there. "I want to punch something in the face."

"Good," Dean told him. "Hold onto that."

Catty nodded. "'Cause it looks like we've got a Hellhound to deal with. Which means..."

§

Crowley's Asylum - Throne Room

Crowley was pacing around a Demon. "How many times do I have to repeat myself? Find me Kelly Kline! As a concept, it's ridiculously simple, as are you!"

The Demon flinched. "Please don't yell. I'm trying."

Crowley mocked him. "'I'm trying'. Well, try harder! As if your almost life depended on it."

The Demon nodded. "Yes, my King."

"Bear down," Crowley told him. "What do you know?"

"We know Dagon is dead and can't protect Kelly," the Demon answered.

"Which makes your task even easier," Crowley told him.

"Not exactly, my lord," the Demon told him. "Now she's being protected by Sabrina, Ariel and Faith Winchester. Castiel and Levi."

Crowley sighed in annoyance. "Of course they're protecting her."

"We know Lucifer's sons are almost due," the Demon told him.

"Which makes your task more crucial," Crowley told him.

"We know we don't know how powerful they'll be when born," the Demon told him.

"Which makes you an idiot," Crowley told him.

The Demon nodded. "I know that, too."

Crowley sighed. "Apparently, you and the legion of Demons that I've assigned to this task haven't been motivated properly. Follow me."

"Are you going to skin me alive, sire?" the Demon asked.

Crowley smirked. "Would it be that simple. I have to remind you and your team of screwups of the pride of superior work, the thrill of pleasing me, and the gratification of living one more day."

§

Night - Apartment

A hunter named Rick was walking in, putting a bloody machete in a bucket, walking around the apartment.

Octavia was sitting in a chair behind him. "Hello, Rick." She turned her chair to face him, smirking. "My name's Octavia. My friends and family call me Ava. Sam Winchester's wife."

"Yeah, I've heard of you," Rick told her. "You and your daughters. Ariel and Faith, right?"

"That's right," Octavia answered.

"No, please come in," Rick told her sarcastically. "Have a seat."

Octavia smirked. "Thanks."

"So you have my address, but not my phone number?" Rick asked.

Octavia shrugged. "Spur of the moment. Sam's working a case with Dean, Catty, Ness and Amara, watching Aiden. Ariel and Faith are with Sabrina, Cas and Levi. Something about Lucifer's children. You know how the Winchesters/Singers are. And their friends like Levi. Brandon Davies. Sage Sanders, etc. You got anything?"

"No, news to me," Rick answered.

"You want in?" Octavia asked.

"Yeah," Rick answered. "Yeah, sure."

Octavia stood, walking closer. "Great. How have you been?"

"Well, uh, taking plenty of head from the Brit dicks to join the tea and crumpet squad," Rick answered.

Octavia nodded. "Mm."

"Yeah, they do not want to take no for an answer," Rick told her.

"Trust me, I know," Octavia told him.

"Want a beer?" Rick asked.

"Sure," Octavia answered.

Rick chuckled. "Yeah." He turned to open the fridge. "I mean, screw them, right? What do they think, after all these years..."

Rick seemed to sense that Octavia was about to harm him, turning to break the bottle by smashing it into Octavia's side, ripping her shirt, but not harming her in the least. Octavia placed her hand on Rick's head, smiting him with a bright white light, making him scream as he died, letting him fall.

§

Day Three

Morning - Men of Letters Temporary Base - Octavia's Cell

Octavia woke up in a different cell that she had been in for months, in the temporary base that the Brits used while in USA, but still chained up with warded chains, warded wires embedded into her skull, the warding all around the walls. She gasped slightly when she woke up, thinking what she had just seen was a vision that  the Brits were using to try to break her down again.

§

Toni walked in. "How are we doing today? Oh, Octavia." She closed the door which locked automatically. "Still trying to break free. Almost worked. But still so far from being close to getting free."

"Did I something happen last night?" Octavia asked.

"Could you be more specific?" Toni asked.

"Was I out of this building?" Octavia asked.

"Well, you would know that better than I," Toni told her. "Unless you're having trouble distinguishing fact from fiction. So what's going on, Octavia?"

Octavia swallowed, shaking her head. "I'm fine."

Toni walked toward her, peering down at her. "Are you?"

Octavia had flashbacks of Toni, Ketch, Hess, and the spell man, the Angels working their brainwashing and magic on her mind, struggling. "Get the hell out of my head."

"Sorry, can't do that," Toni told her. "You're being realigned. Soon, you won't differentiate between your thinking and ours. All of your thoughts and actions will come from us."

"They're looking for me, aren't they?" Octavia asked. "Sam, Dean, Catty, Ness. Sabrina, Amara, Ariel, Faith. Cas, Levi, Brandon. Trying to bring me home to them and Aiden."

"They're looking all over the world for you," Toni answered. "But luckily, Sabrina, Ariel and Faith can't track you into a Men of Letters compound or to that is warded against every creature in existence. You want to go back to your perfect life, I know. Loving husband and kids. But it never really was perfect, was it? All the monsters coming for your heads, trying to kill every single one of you. Everything you've gone through to save each other. Including destroying the world to do so. Octavia, it's toxic."

"And this isn't?" Octavia asked furiously, incredulously.

Toni smirked. "Well, we're just fighting fire with fire."

"Well, you know what they say about fighting with fire," Octavia told her. "Everyone gets burned."

"Well, you and your family are so damaged that you're already burned beyond recognition, especially for an Angel," Toni told her. "So enough with the fairy tale. We are returning you to a more pure version of yourself. Octavia, the Angel of the Lord, willing to kill and do everything and anything her superiors told her to. The superiors being every Angel that wants the power of Sabrina, Ariel and Faith Winchester and willing to use you to get it, and the superiors also being the Men of Letters, wanting to use you to kill every hunter in existence. Starting with Sam, Dean, Catty and Amara Winchester, and Ness Singer-Winchester. Even little Aiden Winchester before he becomes linked with his sister Amara. Then Castiel. Levi."

Octavia struggled furiously. "No."

"The American hunters haven't fallen into line as we'd hoped, so they're being eliminated, repealed and replaced by our people," Toni told her. "And you, Octavia, you play the key role in that."

"I won't," Octavia told her.

"Or maybe you already have," Toni told her. Octavia almost broke free from the chains, but the machines attached to the chains that kept her bound tightened the chains around her, making the Enochian runes in the chains burn into her skin. "Interesting choice. Soon you won't be making any."

Toni walked out of the room. Octavia looked down, noticing a long cut in her shirt, remembering her "dream" when she had killed Rick, and he had used a beer bottle to cut her shirt, realizing that it hadn't been a dream, horrified and angry. She could hear Hess talking with Crowley further in the base.

§

Conference Room

Hess and Crowley were facing each other.

"Good afternoon, Dr. Hess," Crowley told her. "Stunningly beautiful as ever."

"Crowley, revoltingly unctuous as always," Hess replied.

"Let's cut to it," Crowley told her. "You have your people slaughtering the American hunters, which, naturally, I applaud."

"You know about that?" Hess asked.

"I provided Arthur Ketch with a Hellhound," Crowley told her. "I didn't think he was looking for a pet. Obviously, your organization is looking to put down roots. I just want to make doubly sure that you and I have the same arrangement in the States that we do in the UK."

"I don't see why not," Hess told him. "No point being at war. No sides lose. If your Demons limit their involvement to Humans idiotic enough to sell their souls."

"Done," Crowley told her.

"And share information?" Hess asked.

"As needed?" Crowley asked. "I assume finding Lucifer's children is a top priority."

"Since they could kill you, me, and the entire universe, probably," Hess answered. "We're using the Angel Octavia for our own gains to use Sabrina, Ariel and Faith Winchester for our needs, and the Angels' needs. Killing Amara Winchester for her hand in a death of a Men of Letters, and before she becomes linked to her younger brother." Crowley looked surprised and impressed by this. "And killing Sam, Dean, Catty, Ness and Aiden with them. Castiel and Levi as well. The time for Singers and Winchesters is over. We work with Demons, but we also work with Angels."

"I see," Crowley told her. "I am a team player. My Demons are scouring the country as I speak, for all four of the Nephilims, and the Hybrid."

"Did you notice my sigh of relief?" Hess asked. "Oh, right. There wasn't one. Crowley, one more thing."

"What?" Crowley asked.

"What you told us about Aiden and Amara Winchester, the potential of their link, what you learned from Lucifer, thank you for sharing that information," Hess told him. "We needed to know that Aiden and Amara would be linked if both of them had a near death experience at the exact same moment, and how Aiden would grow up to be Amara's age because of the link if that happened. And how their true powers would be unleashed if that did come to pass. But your relationship with the Winchesters, Octavia and Castiel included, and Levi. It's a bit cozy for my taste. I hope you don't expect me to spare your friends. And I expect you not to alert the Winchesters where Octavia is, or what will happen with Aiden and Amara if they become linked, or Octavia's next mission will be killing you."

Crowley nodded in understanding.

§

Octavia's Cell

Having listening to everything Hess and Crowley were saying, Octavia was furious, struggling, only falling deeper into the spell, that the man nearby her was still chanting and causing excruciating pain as an Angel forced more wires and bolts into Ava's head, making her stop and groan in agony.

§

Crowley's Asylum - Locked Room

Lucifer was chained to his chair.

Drexel walked in, checking Lucifer's warding on his vessel. "That completes my examination."

"Okay, Drexel, as much as I enjoy playing doctor with you day after day, I need to blow this joint now," Lucifer told him.

"I beg you to be patient," Drexel told him. "Until I get the security device shut off, you completely belong to Crowley."

Lucifer sighed in annoyance. "Okay, if it's at minimum power, and I'm at maximum power, I'll roll the dice, man."

They heard Crowley's voice from the throne room. "I'm telling you, I don't know anything about it."

§

Throne Room

Crowley walked into the throne room, on the phone. "The name Eileen Leahy means nothing to me."

Ness' voice was on the other line. "Crowley, only a Demon can control a Hellhound." She was in the Bunker with Sam, Dean, Catty and Amara. "Which means that one of your people was involved."

"If that were the case, Ness, I would know about it," Crowley told her. "There are no missing Hellhounds. I was cuddling with them just last night."

"Right, and you know nothing else of the other hunters who are dying?" Ness asked.

Crowley smirked. "Not only don't I know, Vanessa, I don't care."

They hung up. Ness rolled her eyes.

§

Locked Room

Crowley walked in to see Lucifer seemingly alone chained to his chair.

"Never thought of you as a cuddler, Crowley," Lucifer told him mockingly. "Tell me more."

Crowley walked closer. "More? I've been giving thought to your future. As my slave, you could be useful as a weapon, laying waste to my enemies, starting with a certain British bitch who's far too comfortable giving me ultimatums."

"Are you done?" Lucifer asked.

"No," Crowley answered. "If you do have any information as to the whereabouts of Kelly Kline and the spawns of your loins, you may want to give that information to me."

"And why, oh, why would I do a thing like that?" Lucifer asked.

"Because turns out that Kelly's been chumming it with an old friend of yours," Crowley answered. "Dagon."

"So?" Lucifer asked.

"So, Dagon dead," Crowley answered. "Kelly's now in the clutches of Sabrina, Ariel and Faith Winchester, Castiel and Levi. And the British bitch I was telling you about has your old vessel Octavia brainwashed and enslaved by an Angel-slave spell that Balthazar and I once used on Castiel. She's going to make Octavia kill her entire family to try and take control of Sabrina, Ariel and Faith Winchester." Lucifer looked amused by this. "And then she's going to make Octavia drag Kelly and your children to a gruesome death."

Lucifer was more worried about this than he let on, pretending to be unfazed. "Mm. As apposed to the fun-packed death you have planned?"

"My plan may just be to save your sons' lives, raise them as my own, give them the chance to use their power in my service," Crowley told him.

"Because that worked out so well for you when you tried it with Sabrina and Amara Winchester, when you first had Sabrina, and when you had Amara when she was possessed by the Darkness," Lucifer told him sarcastically. "You never learn, do you, Crowley?"

Crowley smirked sarcastically. "I may be the only open you have of seeing your sons alive."

"Hmm, interesting," Lucifer told him sarcastically. "Pass."

"Mm, think about it," Crowley told him. "Tick tock."

Crowley exited the room, closing the door, revealing that Drexel had been hiding behind it.

Lucifer gave Drexel a deadly serious look. "I need to get out of here now."

§

Men of Letters Temporary Base - Octavia's Cell

While the Brit and Angel were still brainwashing/using the spell on Octavia, Octavia was groaning in agony, trying to push them out of her head, losing the fight as it made her weaker and weaker after all this time, making her have flashes of the hallucinations with Sam, Amara, Sabrina, Ariel and Faith taunting her, making her lash out at them, or killing Rick, or all the times that she had been tortured and all the brainwashing she had gone through.

§

Conference Room

Toni walked into the room where Hess and Ketch were waiting. "We just completed another session. Octavia's coming along nicely. I know you wanted me to accelerate her progress, Dr. Hess. I believe I've achieved that. That is why you brought me in."

"I'm sorry, were you expecting a pat on the head, your highness?" Ketch asked sarcastically.

"Oh, no, I would never expect civility from you," Toni told him. "Psychopath."

Toni turned around, leaving the room.

Hess looked at Ketch. "You two are such fun together. Of course, she may be reporting to you."

"I'm not really an administrator," Ketch told her.

"You kill without mercy," Hess told him. "You'll be fine. I mean, here you are, watching Octavia suffer, having a front row seat to all of it, when you know that she's being brainwashed to kill her entire family, including Mary Winchester. And only days ago, you were sleeping with Mary." Ketch looked surprised, as if he was about to say something, but thought better of it. "Of course I knew. Once the US hunters are gone, I'm seriously considering putting you in charge."

Ketch smirked. "You're too kind."

"Of course, Lady Bevell is also desperate for the job," Hess told him. "Oh, that's right. You slept with her as well."

§

The Bunker - Outside

Sam, Dean, Catty, Ness and Amara were pacing outside the Bunker.

Catty was on the phone. "Yeah. Yeah, no, I appreciate it. Thanks." She hung up. "So, I've been calling around about all of the hunters that died. Um, every one of them had years of experience."

Amara's phone went off. "If that's not Brandon finally calling back with what the hell's going on..." She took out her phone, seeing that it was Brandon calling, sighing in relief, answering the phone, putting it on speaker. "Brandon? You there?"

Brandon was in a motel room. "Are you in the Bunker?"

"No," Sam answered. "We're standing right outside."

"Good," Brandon told them.

"Why?" Dean asked. "Why is that good?"

"Trying to stay under the radar," Brandon answered. "I couldn't call or text before. Not until I knew for sure that they weren't bugged. They're hunting me. You. All of us."

"Who's hunting you?" Dean asked. "Us? All of us?"

"The British Men of Letters," Brandon answered. "When they sent my dad to London because of what happened with Dagon and Renny, he tried to convince Dr. Hess and Ketch to let us all go because it was the right thing. They had different definitions of the right thing. Guys, they have Ava." They were all stunned, horrified. "Hess had Ketch shoot my father in the head because he was trying to release Ava. I tapped into their systems. I can hear what they hear, but I'm going in blind, as I don't have resources anymore. However, I do know they're tracking down American hunters as well, putting them down. I'm trying to warn you, and as many hunters as I can, but they're listening to and watching everything and everyone."

"This is why hunters have been dropping like flies," Amara told them. "Why do they have Aunt Ava?"

"I'll explain everything when I can, but you have to make sure if the Bunker is safe," Brandon told them. "Tell me where to meet you and I'll come to you."

§

Inside - Every Room

Sam, Dean, Catty, Ness and Amara were looking through every room looking for anything that the Brits may have left behind, staying completely quiet.

§

War Room

While Sam, Dean, Catty, Ness and Amara were searching, Aiden was sitting next to the map table on the floor, reaching underneath, messing with something that made a little noise.

Ness knelt next to Aiden to pull him away from the table, about to get up again when she saw that Aiden had been messing with a mic that had been hidden underneath the table, whispering to her son. "Good job, Aiden."

Ness waved to Sam, Dean, Catty and Amara silently to get their attention, pointing underneath the table. They walked closer to get a look, all of them just as frustrated as Ness was.

§

Amara got an idea, breaking the silence. "Those secret messages I've been getting? I think they're coming from Brandon Davies."

Amara gestured for them to play along.

"Why would Brandon be sending you secret messages?" Sam asked.

"He's trying to warn me about something," Amara answered. "He thinks it's not monsters doing the real killing. I got a text from Brandon." In the temporary base, some of the Men of Letters were listening to the audio through the computer. "He's been nosing around, says he's got a fair idea of what's going on."

"And?" Catty asked.

"He can't say it over phone or text," Amara told them. "Brandon wants to meet. The old iron works off the interstate. Tomorrow night at 9:00. He says park off the road by the warehouse."

"All right," Catty told them.

Sam, Dean, Catty and Ness were surprised and impressed with how well Amara lied, even though some of it was the truth.

§

Day Four

Morning - Crowley's Asylum - Locked Room

Lucifer was chained up, utterly bored.

Drexel was still examining the warding. "The timing of your escape is crucial, my lord. If the device isn't sufficiently impaired, the King's hold on you will only increase. And of course, I'll be--"

Lucifer reached out to grip Drexel by the throat, choking him. "Let me be perfectly clear, okay? My only sons are in jeopardy because of a brainwashed Ava, and I'm running out of patience. Check it again."

Lucifer let him go.

Drexel did as told, frowning in confusion. "This... this can't be."

"Do not tell me it's powering up," Lucifer told him.

"It's powering up--" Drexel started.

Lucifer gave him an annoyed look. "I asked you not to tell me that."

"But in the opposite direction," Drexel explained. "This is amazing."

"What?" Lucifer asked.

"The device, it's cemented directly into your DNA, and that of the King's," Drexel explained. "As it's powering down in you, the polarity is somehow reversing."

Lucifer shook his head in confusion. "English, Drexel."

"The ability to control is transferring from Crowley to you," Drexel told him.

Lucifer smiled. "So you're saying that Crowley's gonna be my puppet."

Drexel nodded.

§

Men of Letters Temporary Base - Storage Room

Toni and Ketch were standing outside of a cage where the Hellhound was. Toni blew the whistle.

Ketch fed him a treat. "Good dog. You sat for Lady Bevell."

"How can you even tell?" Toni asked.

"Am I gonna say 'bad dog'?" Ketch asked. "He can be unpleasant. Dr. Hess says that you have designs on Mick Davies' job."

"Did she?" Toni asked.

"She assured me it was mine to turn down," Ketch told her.

Toni smirked. "Fascinating. She told me the same thing."

"Well, pitted against each other, like our days at Kendrick's," Ketch told her.

"I always did rather well in those situations," Toni told him.

Ketch nodded in agreement. "You slaughtered the competition. Sometimes literally."

"And yet, I never slaughtered you, Ketch," Toni told him.

"Well, we were having a lot of sex at the time," Ketch told her.

Toni scoffed. "I've been studying the American situation and how to fix it for years. So this? Is mine. Trust me. The cream always rises to the top."

Ketch narrowed his eyes. "Oh, I agree."

Ketch walked away.

Toni sighed. "Arrogant bastard."

§

Octavia's Cell

As the spell continued on Ava, she was having more hallucinations of her family taunting her into breaking, visions of killing them, more people, breathing heavily as she still fought, hardly able to anymore after so long. "My family worked with you... fought with you... because we were trying to give our kids what they deserved. So that Sabrina, Amara, Aiden, Ariel and Faith could live in a world without monsters. Without someone trying to control them or use them as pawns in a game for power. But you're worse than all of them. Just kill me. I spent millenniums without my will, and I can't go back to that. Not when all you want me to do is hurt and kill the ones that I love. I'm putting people in danger. I'm putting my family in danger. You just... for God's sake, kill me."

"Octavia," the British man casting the spell told her.

"Just do it!" Octavia told them furiously.

"Octavia, listen to me," the man told her. "It won't be long now. This will all be over. I promise."

Octavia shook her head, furiously devastated. "No."

Night - Warehouse - Outside

Sam, Dean, Catty, Ness and Amara pulled up in the Impala, getting out, luring the Brits out, knowing they were being watched, walking toward the building, inside.

§

Inside

Five Brits walked in with guns aimed at Sam, Dean, Catty, Ness and Amara, trying to shoot, but they already had their guns drawn, shooting them dead before they could shoot them, watching them fall.

The window next to Ness shattered, making her jump only slightly. Ness turned to shoot the man that had broke the window before he could shoot her.

Sam, Dean and Catty fired at three more Men, killing them, watching them fall.

Another man popped up next to Amara, trying to shoot her. Amara kneed the gun out of his hand, kicking him in the groin. The man drew another gun to aim at Amara's head before any of them could shoot, making Sam, Dean, Catty and Ness stop before he could shoot her.

Brandon walked in, shooting the man aiming his gun at Amara from behind, watching him fall dead.

Sam, Dean, Catty, Ness and Amara looked toward Brandon in surprise.

Brandon lowered his gun. "I'm glad you took my message seriously."

"You keep saving Amara like like that, I might let the fact that you like her slide," Dean told him.

Sam, Ness and Catty smirked slightly.

Amara gave Dean a look, sighing, shaking her head. She looked at Brandon. "Glad you got our message, too."

They heard another man walked in from behind Brandon. Amara shot the man before he could shoot Brandon, watching him fall. They all looked at each other, sighing.

Crowley's Asylum - Locked Room

Lucifer was sitting chained to his chair.

Crowley walked in. "Before long, of course, I will get rid of you. But I will miss our little chats."

Lucifer nodded sarcastically. "Hmm, you mean the ones where you prattle on about your imagined power, and I pretend to care? Those chats?"

"How are Lucifer Jrs?" Crowley asked. "Dead yet?"

Lucifer put a finger to his ear as if listening to mock Crowley. "Hmm, no.  Still alive and kicking. Strong. Kids are bruisers. Sort of proud."

"Well, before you book a Daddy and Me class, I must assure you there is no heir to your throne," Crowley told him. "The Winchesters may not be able to kill your sons themselves because of their own children being so extraordinary, but you know who will kill them? Whether she wants to or not?"

"Yeah, you told me about little Ava's brainwashing," Lucifer told him. "Gotta say, that's a twist I didn't see coming. I'm sure Sabrina, Ariel and Faith will find a way to save 'Aunt Ava' and then she'll no longer want to kill my sons. But they all would want to throw me back into the Cage."

"And yet, due to my cunning, here you sit, a virtual slave to my will," Crowley told him. Lucifer stroked his chin, which caused Crowley to do the same. "And the hubris, you and your pseudo sons? I mean, it's delusional." Lucifer cleared his throat, which caused Crowley to do the same. "Despite your... epic collapse, you persist in the fantasy that you will best me." Lucifer made a weird funny face by narrowing his eyes and flapping his lips, which caused Crowley to do the same. "Your bluster is no match for my masterful strategies." Lucifer stuck his tongue out, which caused Crowley to do the same. "And in the end, you have to concede that I have..." Lucifer started to move his arms like a chicken, which caused Crowley to do the same. Crowley finally realized that he was doing everything Lucifer was doing. "What's going on?"

Lucifer laughed, standing. "'Master strategist'." He started to hop on one leg, making Crowley do the same. "More like Kermit the Frog." Even though Lucifer stopped hopping on one foot, he gestured for Crowley to keep doing it with a bounce of his finger. "Oh, my little Muppet. Crowley, what will I do without you?"

Crowley looked terrified.

Warehouse - Outside

Sam, Dean, Catty, Ness, Amara and Brandon walked outside toward the Impala and Brandon's motorcycle.

"Amara, how did you know that I would be listening to your trap for the British Men of Letters?" Brandon asked.

"You said that you tapped their servers so that you could hear what they hear, even if you're going in blind," Amara answered.

"We didn't know if you would be listening," Catty told him. "But we were hoping you would be."

"And hoping that you would also want to get a little payback against the people that had your dad killed," Ness added. "And are trying to hunt you down to kill you, too."

"What do you say, Brandon?" Dean asked. "Ready for some revenge?"

"You have no idea," Brandon told them.

"You didn't know the full extent of the organization before this happened, did you?" Catty asked. "I mean, I doubt that they would share all the gory details with kids that could easily turn against them."

"I didn't know everything, no," Brandon answered. "It turned out my father didn't, either."

"What do you know about Eileen Leahy?" Sam asked.

"Is that a hunter?" Brandon asked.

"Was a hunter, yeah," Sam answered. "Did your people kill her?"

"They're no longer my people, but probably," Brandon answered. "Rule of thumb. If you think they killed someone, then they probably did."

"Speaking of, have you killed anyone Human?" Dean asked.

"You mean other than the former colleague I had to kill because he was hunting me and about to kill Amara?" Brandon asked.

"Yeah," Dean answered.

"The Kendrick's academy forced pupils against each other," Brandon explained. "I hadn't wanted to kill anyone. The student that they forced to attack me nearly killed me. My best friend."

"And let me guess," Catty told him. "These psychos forced your best friend to attack you to the point where you had to kill him in self defense. Why did you stay with these people after that?"

"I told you before, the only way out is death," Brandon answered.

"Like your father, and like them hunting you down for trying to leave," Ness realized. "They would have found you and killed you by now if Sabrina, Ariel and Faith hadn't been using their power to hide you."

"Exactly," Brandon told them. "No investigation, no trial. Just punishment and ruin."

"Why did they kill Mick?" Amara asked.

"They determined he and I were too sentimental for the job, Amara," Brandon answered. "They thought we were too much like your family and all the other US hunters. Sage Sanders, Jody Mills, Claire Novak, all of your other flannel-wearing whiskey-swilling friends. My father was killed because he was trying to stop this. That, and he tried to release Ava." They were surprised and stunned to hear this. "They plan for all of us and each and every hunter in this country to join my father. I had to keep a low profile so I could warn other hunters and all of you. They're not just using the British men to get this done."

"What does that mean?" Ness asked.

"Like I said, I can hear what they say and hear," Brandon told them. "I told you that they have Ava. They're keeping her prisoner by Angel's brainwashing and a spell to enslave Ava to kill hunters, to kill your family, and to control Sabrina, Ariel and Faith."

Sam, Dean, Catty, Ness and Amara were all stunned and horrified. "What?"

"They're making it to where Ava won't remember loving any of you so that she will kill you if given the order, barely aware of who she is and who you are," Brandon told them. "I doubt if she knows the difference between hallucination and reality at this point. I'm sorry. I will try everything in my power to find a way to make it right."

Crowley's Asylum - Locked Room

Lucifer was no longer chained up, stretching out kinks. "Ooh. Yeah, that feels awesome." He sat down. "Oh, muscle cramps. You know a good Pilates class?"

Crowley chuckled nervously. "So to be clear, I accept that you are now in charge. I--I like this new arrangement better. You're more the big picture guy. I'm the day to day minutiae guy."

Crowley tried to run. Lucifer thrust his hand  toward Crowley, using magic to throw him through the door, tearing it down, making both fall to the floor.

§

Throne Room

Lucifer walked in, standing over Crowley, throwing him to the floor in front of many Demons. "8 ball, corner pocket" He swatted his hand toward Crowley, using magic to throw him into the wall and make him fall. "Well, I could do this all day, but since I'm King, et cetera, et cetera. I'll wrap it up." He picked up an Angel Blade from the floor, using magic to levitate Crowley in the air. He let himself glow with bright white light, his wings appear on the wall behind him in shadows, his eyes glow red briefly, before he let it all return to normal, putting Crowley on his feet, beckoning him forward, making him walk closer to him, and stop at the edge of the blade that Lucifer aimed at him. "Oh, you had to know this was inevitable." He slit Crowley's cheek and nose with the Angel Blade. "This is gonna hurt." He punched Crowley in the face, making him fall. A mouse crawled closer to Crowley. Crowley looked at the mouse, thinking. Lucifer was looking at the Demons, not noticing, smirking, walking over to Crowley, stabbing him in the chest with the Angel Blade. There was no flickering of light as per usual when a Demon was killed. "Hmm. Clean up on aisle 7."

Lucifer dropped the blade, walking away.

The Bunker - War Room

Sam, Dean, Ness, Catty, Amara and Brandon walked downstairs into the Bunker. Ness was holding Aiden.

Aiden was fussy, looking around in confusion. "Mom. Dad. Amara."

"Aiden?" Dean asked. "What's wrong, Aiden?"

"So we're clear?" Ness asked. "We call Sabrina, Ariel, Faith, Cas and Levi, we go after Ketch and tell him to either save and release Ava, or we kill his prissy ass."

They stopped in the control room when men came in from all sides to aim guns at them.

"Interestingly, his prissy ass is already here for you," Ketch told them.

Sam, Dean, Catty, Ness, Amara and Brandon drew their guns. Ness pulled Aiden away toward the stairs to try to get him to his room to safety. Ketch aimed his gun at Ness to stop her.

Sam shot a man dead.

Dean aimed his gun behind his back to shoot a man on the other side of him.

Ness shot another man dead.

Ketch and Brandon fired at each other, taking cover to make both miss. Four men tried to attack Brandon from behind, but Brandon knew they were there, shooting them all dead without looking.

Amara was shooting from a nearby wall to take cover, shooting another man dead.

Catty shot another man dead.

Sam, Dean, Catty and Ness took cover with Aiden.

Aiden was fussy, trying to be brave without crying.

Ketch and Brandon continued to fire at each other. Brandon shot another man dead as he came toward him.

Ness saw a man coming toward her from around the corner of the wall to try to shoot her and Aiden, firing a shot into his head before he could shoot either of them, handing Aiden to her daughter. "Amara, take Aiden to his room, now."

Amara took Aiden, staying in cover, firing at the four men that tried to shoot her and Aiden, killing them, trying to make room for her to run out of the room to take Aiden to safety but they kept coming.

Brandon slid toward Ketch from behind, kicking the gun out of his hands, aiming his gun at Ketch's head. "Get up."

Brandon and Amara pulled Ketch to his feet, both aiming guns at him.

Sam, Dean, Ness sand Catty walked closer with their guns aimed at Ketch.

"All right, Ketch, how many more guys are in here?" Catty asked.

"Where is Ava?" Sam asked angrily. "What did you do with her?"

Octavia walked in with her Angel Sword raised. "Don't move."

"Ah, speak of the Devil," Ketch told them. "Or more correctly, the previously possessed by the Devil."

"Perfect timing, Ava," Sam told her. "How did you get free from them?"

"She didn't," Ketch answered.

"Just stay where you are," Octavia told them.

Ketch started to move.

"Hey, you heard her," Dean told him.

"I was talking to you," Octavia told them, using her power to slam Sam, Dean, Catty, Ness and Brandon to the ground, pushing Amara against the wall with Aiden still in her arms.

Sam groaned in pain. "Ava? Hey." Octavia held her sword up in warning. Ketch grabbed Brandon and Amara's guns. "Ava, stop."

"I really wouldn't move," Ketch told them. "She will kill you."

Sam, Dean, Catty, Ness, Amara and Brandon looked at Octavia worriedly, who didn't seem to be awake.

§

Octavia walked up to Sam, taking his gun. Three other men aimed their guns at Brandon, Ness and Catty so they could take their guns. None of them could fight back because Octavia's power kept them pinned to the walls or to the floor.

"Your little Ava always was a perfect killer," Ketch told them. "Just somewhat confused about obeying orders, even as an Angel."

"What did you do to her?" Catty asked furiously.

"Our men cleared up that confusion," Ketch told them. "It took several months and a powerful Angel-enslaving spell with our Angel brainwashing techniques, but we finally got your little Ava to the way that we want her. And I suspect Brandon told you that the American hunters are a dying breed, hmm? Octavia. You know what you have to do."

Ketch chanted the spell to make Octavia obey him, causing her deep, profound pain as she tried to fight it but she wasn't awake as herself enough to stop. Octavia walked over to where Amara and Aiden were pinned to the wall, holding her sword in one hand and Sam's gun in the other.

Amara was scared but knew that this wasn't her aunt. "Aunt Ava. Please. Stop. You don't want to do this. Wake up, please."

"Ava, stop," Sam told her desperately. "Please."

Ness struggled, but Ava's power kept her pinned, tears in her eyes. "Ava, please. I don't know why they want you to kill them, but you know that you can't do that. It's Amara and Aiden."

Dean struggled, pinned as well, furious that the Angels and the BMOL did this to Octavia, and horrified of what it could mean for Ava and for the rest of the family. "Ava! It's Aiden and Amara. Don't do this."

Brandon struggled but couldn't move. "Amara..."

Aiden had tears in his eyes, sensing that Octavia wasn't evil but she had evil influencing her. "Ava."

Octavia looked confused and in a daze, looking at Aiden as if the broken whisper from the little boy stopped her momentarily. She backed away, dropping Sam's gun to the floor, but she couldn't fight back against the spell much.

Ketch rolled his eyes. "For God's sake. Looks like Octavia's not as ready as we wanted her to be. Oh, well. I did have a backup plan for this."

"Ava?" Sam asked. "Look at me." Octavia pushed Brandon to the floor next to Amara and Aiden, the effects of the spell having her walk up stairs with Ketch. Amara knelt next to Brandon worriedly. Brandon sat up, placing a hand on hers to make sure that she was okay after what just happened. "It's us. Please. Ketch, what  the hell was that spell? What the hell did you do to her? Ava!"

"Your Bunker is an excellent fortress," Ketch told them. "An even better tomb. The warding on your walls have been reinforced to where even if you try to pray to Sabrina, Ariel and Faith, they won't be able to hear you from wherever they are, actually helping Castiel and Levi protect Kelly Kline, and looking for their mother/Aunt Ava. So they can't come to save you. We've rejiggered the locks, we've shut off the water, and once we leave, the pumps that bring in the air shall reverse. Your oxygen should be gone in two days, maybe three. You dying in here, it's almost poetic, hmm? Come along, Octavia."

"Aunt Ava!" Amara told her.

"What the hell did you do to her?" Catty asked incredulously.

Octavia was trying to fight the spell angrily, trying to wake up, made to believe that this was a hallucination. Ketch chanted the spell again to make her will decrease, making her follow, as he closed the door behind them.

Sam ran up to the door. "Ava!" Outside the door, Octavia couldn't see Sam, but his voice made her pause, painful but completely numb at the same time. "Sabrina, Ariel and Faith are gonna find you, Ava. They're gonna save you. We're gonna get you back. Just fight it. Ava!"

All of the lights turned off. Red backup lights flashed. They could hear the rest of the Bunker powering down and the air vents reversing to take away their air instead of keeping it flowing in. Sam, Dean, Ness, Aiden, Amara, Brandon and Catty were all horrified and very, very angry about everything that had just happened.

Crowley's Asylum - Throne Room

The Demons were cleaning up after Lucifer had beaten down Crowley.

"He wants this done before he returns," Drexel told them.

A Demon pointed at Crowley's body. "What are we supposed to do with... that?"

Drexel sighed. "Toss it."

Demons started to drag Crowley's body away. The rat from earlier followed them.

On the Road - Ketch's Car

Ketch was driving. Octavia was in the passenger seat, looking completely void of everything.

"I do have to hand it to Lady Bevell and her coworker," Ketch told her. "Your treatment's somewhat successful so far. After months of you fighting, this is what comes from it. It took a long, long time, but it was worth the wait. You couldn't kill Aiden and Amara, or Sam, Dean, Catty and Ness, or even Brandon, which is why I had the backup plan. If they somehow make it out of there alive, you will be ready to kill them next time. All of them. And so you know, this will become easier."

"Easier to hurt people I love?" Octavia asked.

"Easier to hurt people you don't remember loving," Ketch told her. "How do you feel?"

Octavia gazed off, trying to determine if this was real or hallucination, unable to, though the only thing that felt real inside her was this never ending anger and rage that she couldn't make go away.

Mountain Top

Lucifer was standing on the mountain top, looking out at the view, raising his arms in the air. "My sons."
