chapter 16 - Ladies Drink Free
THEN
From 10.20 "Angel Heart", outside the motel, the family was saying goodbye to Claire.
Catty stood. "You know, Claire, you go down this path, our path, it's not a long life."
From 11.12 "Don't You Forget About Me", outside Jody's House, Claire looked at Castiel. "I solemnly swear not to hunt like a dumbass."
From 10.20 "Angel Heart", in the barn, Sabrina kicked Holloway in the back, making him fall to his knees. "Claire. This is your kill. Not mine."
Claire stood, walking toward Sabrina and Holloway, stabbing Holloway in the heart with his Angel Sword, killing him, making him flash withe bright white light.
Catty: (voice over from 10.20 Angel Heart) "Claire, do your homework before you do anything stupid, okay?"
From 10.20 "Angel Heart", in her taxi, Claire drove away from the family.
Sabrina: (voice over from 10.10 The Hunter Games) "If you need help, whenever, wherever, all you gotta do is pray. I'll hear you. I'll find you."
From 10.20 "Angel Heart", roadside, Sabrina looked at Claire. "And I'll be there faster than you can blink."
From 11.21 "All in the Family", outside the Sanders' house, Sage's parents were dead on the ground. Sage was kneeling to the ground, holding her little sister Lisa's dead body in her arms. She was struck in the forehead with lightning, screaming. The lightning continued to strike Sage all over her body, making her scream. Her eyes were blowing white.
Sabrina: (voice over from 11.21 All in the Family) "Sage Sanders. You've met the True Hybrid, God, Lucifer, three Angels, one of them being pregnant with half-Human, half-Angel Nephilims, and the Darkness. All of this the day after what happened to your town, your friends and family, and after being awakened as a Prophet."
From 11.21 "All in the Family", outside the Bunker, Sage looked at Sabrina and Levi. "Given your line of work, I'll probably see you again."
"Stay tuned," Levi told her. "We may need you."
From 11.22 "We Happy Few", Sabrina and Sage's phone conversation.
"Yes, I know all about Jody Mills," Sage told her. "The adoptive mom to a girls halfway home. You said that she's got two other girls, Claire and Alex."
"She's willing to lend you a place to stay until you get back on your feet, okay?" Sabrina asked.
From 11.22 "We Happy Few", on the road, the Darkness was beating Sage, placing a hand on either of her cheeks, inhaling, consuming Sage's soul.
Amara: (voice over from 12.09 First Blood) "Sage is the Prophet that the Darkness used a fog to kill her entire family and hometown, and Sage was the soul survivor."
From 11.23 "Alpha and Omega", in Sioux Fall's police station, the officer dragged Sage down the hall, putting her into a cell. Sage punched the wall, becoming more calm after a moment, pacing, sitting down, sighing, holding her head in her hands.
Sabrina: (voice over from 12.09 First Blood) "Claire, Alex and Jody are helping Sage channel her emptiness into hunting monsters."
From 2.17 "Heart", Madison and Glenn the Werewolves turned and attacked, from 8.04 "Bitten", Kate, Michael and Brian all turned and attacked, from 9.12 "Sharp Teeth", Joy, Joba, Russ, Garth and Bessie all turned, 9.20 "Bloodlines", Violet turned, 10.04 "Paper Moon" Tasha and the male Wolves she bitten turned, 11.17 "Red Meat" Sam, Dean and Catty were fighting with Werewolves that were turned.
Ness: (voice over from 8.04 Bitten) "Werewolves that are turned up to four generations from pure blood are less feral and can transform before, during and after the lunar cycle."
From 2.17 "Heart", at Lookout Point, Glenn had Catty on the ground. Dean shot him dead. From 8.04 "Bitten", Brian killed Michael, Kate killed Brian, and Dean killed Professor Ludensky, 9.12 "Sharp Teeth", Catty killed Russ, Sabrina killed Sheriff Pat, Joba and Joy, 10.04 "Paper Moon", Sam, Dean, Catty and Ness each killed a Werewolf that Tasha turned, while Kate killed Tasha, 11.17 "Red Meat", Sam, Dean and Catty killed a Werewolf each, while Sabrina killed three.
Dean: (voice over from 2.17 Heart) "I mean, Werewolves are badass."
From 12.14 "The Raid", in the temporary base, Brandon and Mick were talking.
"It won't bother me if the Winchesters and Levi don't sign on after what happened between us and them," Brandon told him. "But it'll be great if they do. For the good of this country. Maybe we finally stop the wars. That was your goal, wasn't it?"
"Yes," Mick answered. "My goal. I'm not sure about the old men's goals."
"Well, the old men are always up to something," Brandon told him. "Something way out there that we can't control or can't know because they won't allow us to know."
From 12.01 & 12.02, there were flashes of Ness, Octavia and Amara being tortured, and Amara nearly killing herself because of the drug that Toni, Watt and Barclay injected her with.
Brandon: (voice over from 12.14 The Raid) "Did you know everything they did to Ness, Octavia and Amara? Is something like that going to happen to all the American hunters?"
From 12.14 "The Raid", in the temporary base, Brandon looked at Mick. "I hope not. No matter where they're from, no matter how they operate, they're Human. Maybe more so than the old men themselves."
From 12.14 "The Raid", in the temporary base, there were flashes of the Men of Letters, the Winchesters, killing Vampires.
Amara: (voice over from 12.14 The Raid) "You're changing the world, and my family wants to be a part of a change that can help save me and my cousins and Aiden, so that we can live in a world without threat, so that we might have a normal live."
From 12.14 "The Raid", in the garage of the base, Amara looked at Brandon. "That's all they've ever wanted, so that they can save us from our doomed lives."
"We're not the bad guys, Amara," Brandon told her.
"I'm sure that you're not a bad guy, Brandon," Amara told him. "I'm not sure about the people that you work for. But if one more thing goes wrong, if any of us are hurt by this organization again, you know that we will burn it to the ground and anyone who tried to harm us or other innocent people."
Brandon nodded. "I know."

Day One
Night - Lucky Badger Bar - Outside
(Song:) I'd Be Lost If It Wasn't For You - Elijah Honey (Black Toast Music)
A young woman named Hayden walked out of the bar, onto the sidewalk, texting as she was walking. "'Are you calling me a liar? Seriously?'"
A hand grabbed her shoulder from behind. Hayden gasped, turning around.
A young man named Ben was standing there, chuckling, holding up his phone. "Yeah, seriously. You're so busted."
(Song Ends)
§
Road
Hayden and Ben walked down the road. Animal sounds could be heard in the background.
"You are beyond lame, you know that?" Hayden asked. "Let's just go back. Please? I'll get you in. Ever had a Moscow Mule?"
"A Moscow Mule?" Ben repeated, skeptically, scoffing. "Will you just for once, act your age?"
"Says the guy who doesn't even have his own car," Hayden replied.
"Stop hounding Mom about buying us a car, all right?" Ben asked. "She's doing the best she can."
Hayden rolled her eyes. "Two more years, I am so gone." They heard a branch snap. "Hold up. Did you hear that?"
"Yeah," Ben answered. "They're called animals."
"Let's just go back into town," Hayden told him.
"No, Hayden, we're going," Ben told her.
"Have you, like, never seen a horror movie?" Hayden asked. "Two kids, dark road, creepy noise in the woods? We keep walking, and boom!"
Ben scoffed. "You are such a drama queen. All right, there's nothing there."
Hayden sighed. "But I--"
"No, fine," Ben told her. "I'll prove it."
Ben walked further down the road.
Once Ben was out of sight, Hayden smiled smugly, singing the word. "Sucker."
Hayden turned back the way they came, texting: Coming right back.
Ben continued to walk, using his phone as a light. "See? Told you?" He heard Hayden scream, running back to her, finding her laying on the ground. "Hayden! Hayden..." He knelt next to his sister worriedly in horror. "No. Oh, my God. Hay. Help! Hayden, Hayden, Hayden, Hayden."
A growl came up from behind Ben. Ben turned to see a figure in black from head to toe with a white skeleton skull on the face mask. The figure lunged forward, reaching into his chest to pull his heart clean out, making him scream in agony as he died. The figure turned toward Hayden, growling.

Day Two
Morning - The Bunker - Library
Sam and Octavia were talking alone in the Bunker library while they were both getting ready to leave.
"So, you, Dean, Ness, Catty and Amara are gonna go work with the British Men of Letters, while Ariel, Faith, Sabrina, Cas and I are going to be looking for Lucifer's children," Octavia told him. "On the lookout for any word from Levi and the Angels. While you're looking for ways for Aiden to be taken care of while all of us are doing our thing."
"Right," Sam agreed. "All of this silence right now has me unsettled."
Octavia chuckled in amusement. "That's one way to put it. Sam, are you sure about working with the British?"
"No, I'm not sure," Sam answered. "Especially not after what happened with you, Ness and Amara, and them. But, Amara's the one that made the final decision to go for it, because of Brandon Davies talking to all of us. And, Ava, there are monsters out there that are growing by the day, in number, size and power, and they have us American hunters outnumbered, and while you, Cas, Levi, Ariel, Faith and Sow definitely have the power to take them out, you'll all more focused on finding Kelly Kline, like you should be."
Octavia sighed, nodding. "You're right. And besides, we agreed that this could grant the choice of freedom from this life if we could rid of Demons and monsters, to free Amara, Sow, Ariel and Faith from this life, and hopefully making sure that Aiden never has to step foot in it." Sam nodded in agreement. "I don't like the idea of you, Dean, Ness, Catty and Amara going to work with them alone, or Aiden being with them, not while Ariel, Faith, Sow, Cas and I are looking for Kelly and waiting on word from Levi."
"But that's more important, Ava," Sam told her. "At least right now. Catty, Dean, Ness, Amara and I can handle the Brits, as crazy as it sounds. Aiden will be fine. You, Sow, Ariel, Faith, Cas and Levi need to look for Kelly. We'll still be together throughout everything."
Octavia smiled a little, chuckling, sighing. "I always like the sound of that, Sam. You and me together." Sam smiled, nodding, taking her hands to pull her closer. "All right. You, Catty, Dean, Ness and Amara do your thing. Sow, Ariel, Faith, Cas and I'll do ours. While we wait on word from Levi and the Angels. I'll have to meet up with them soon though. You're sure that Aiden will be fine?"
"Aiden will be taken care of by my mom, protective aunt Ava," Sam answered. Octavia smiled. "I love how protective you are over Aiden, Amara and Sabrina." They chuckled. "Dean, Ness, Catty, Amara and I are going to meet up with Mick and Brandon Davis. It's okay, Ava. It's all gonna okay. We can rid monsters and Demons from USA, and find Kelly. We still might be able to save them."
"I hope so," Octavia told him. "Because I told you before, Sam, I know I wouldn't be able to kill Kelly or the kids, not after everything that happened with Lily Sunder and her daughter, or Ariel and Faith and Sabrina, or you."
Sam nodded in understanding, smiling a bit. "I know. We'll find way to save them. Don't worry."
"Promise me that if you need anything, you will call for one of us," Octavia told him.
Sam smiled. "Promise."
"This is the part where one of us usually says goodbye, but I kinda don't wanna leave you, no matter how short or long it may be," Octavia admitted.
Sam smiled. "Yeah, I love you, too."
Octavia chuckled, smiling contently. They looked at each other happily for a moment, kissing slowly and passionately, lingering closely, pulling away finally.
"I love you too," Octavia told him. "I'll see you."
Sam nodded. "I'll see you."
Octavia backed away, letting her hands slide out of his. Sam and Octavia both smiled. Octavia turned around, walking out of the Bunker. Sam watched her go, smiling.
§
Men of Letters Temporary Base - Conference Room
Sam, Dean, Catty, Ness and Amara were waiting. Ness was holding Aiden.
"All right, that's it," Dean told them. "I'm going to go wait with Mom and Aiden. We don't trust the Brits enough to let them watch Aiden. But we do trust Mom enough for that. So I am gonna go hand Aiden off to Mom."
"Dean, wait a second," Ness told him.
"No," Dean told them. "You know what? Getting jobs from these dicks is one thing, but I didn't sign up for this reporting for duty crap, especially when they're late."
Mick and Brandon walked up to them.
"Sorry we're late," Brandon told them. "Our report to the home office ran long. We've had our hands full since..."
They looked down at bloodstains on the floor from when the Vampires attacked.
Mick sighed. "Well, best not to dwell on that."
"Wow," Catty told him. "That is some world-class repression. You are British."
"I prefer to call it a stiff upper lip," Mick told them.
Brandon rolled his eyes.
"Okay," Ness told them. "Okay. Enough."
"Brandon, what's the deal with the bat signal?" Amara asked.
"There was an incident in Wisconsin," Brandon answered. "'Animal attack'." He handed a gray folder to Amara. "A girl named Hayden Foster's in the hospital, and her brother lost his heart. Looks like a Werewolf."
"Well, they don't usually leave behind survivors," Catty told them.
"Unless they got spooked before it could finish the job," Ness told them.
"Well, perhaps," Mick told them. "But it usually takes more than a fright to put your average Werewolf off his supper."
"Oh, you'd know that, would you?" Catty asked.
"Actually, we would," Brandon answered. "We both did extensive research into Lycanthropy at Kendrick's."
Brandon walked across the room, pulling out two books from a cabinet.
Amara stood, handing the gray folder to Ness, looking at Brandon. "Kendrick's?"
"The Kendrick's School," Brandon answered. "It's where the British Men of Letters train their operatives. It's like our..."
"Hogwarts?" Amara finished.
Brandon placed one book on the table, handing the other to Sam, nodding to Amara. "Exactly. Kendrick's is the largest collection of occult lore in the world."
Amara seemed a little impressed but trying to hide the fact that she was. "Cool."
Sam, Dean, Catty and Ness exchanged a look.
"So, when it comes to Werewolves, Brandon and I are not entirely ignorant," Mick told them. "For example, we know that last night's attack didn't happen on a full moon. Therefore, we're looking for a pure blood."
"You think?" Dean asked.
"It's like a milk run to me," Catty told them.
"Then you don't mind if Brandon and I tag along?" Mick asked.
Ness put the folder down. "Mick, um, listen, I... I don't think... I don't think it's really your kind of thing."
"Oh, no, maybe it should be," Mick told them. "We had the best team, but most of us, we were thinkers, not fighters. And let's be honest, your family, Brandon and Levi, you're the only reasons I'm still alive."
"Yeah, but Brandon, Mom and I handled it pretty well before we got the others to come help," Amara told them.
"While the other Vampires came to slaughter the rest of us here," Mick replied.
"So now you wanna be like us?" Dean asked skeptically.
"Well, Brandon handled himself pretty well," Amara admitted. Brandon smirked. "Like a hunter, but smarter. No offense."
"Thank you, Amara," Brandon told her.
"Don't get used to it," Amara told him.
"I don't want to copy you, if that's what you mean," Mick answered. "I just want to be ready for whatever's next."
§
Hallway
Sam, Dean, Catty, Ness and Amara were talking in the hallway.
"Guys, they're dead weight, and you know it," Catty told them.
"Look, Mick might be a little inexperienced, sure, but Amara was right," Ness told them. "Brandon held his own against the Vampires at the motel, and the ones that we had to fight through to get in here to save all of you."
"So?" Dean asked. "Ness, you are the go-to girl for knowledge. We don't need Brandon and Mick. What we do, you can't learn this crap in a book. You put on a flannel, you pick up a gun, you go out there. Either you get good fast, or you get dead faster."
"We're working with these people now, and--and we're getting wins," Sam told them. "We're saving people. The better they are, the better we are. Look, like Brandon held his own with the Vampires he helped you guys fight, Mick didn't crack under the pressure of being locked up in here like some of the guys did. Why not give them a shot? Maybe they'll come in handy."
"And what if they get themselves killed?" Amara asked.
Mick and Brandon walked up to them.
"Heard that, Amara," Brandon told her.
"Good," Amara told him.
"Here I thought we were making progress," Brandon told her.
Amara shrugged. "Progress? Maybe. Still cautious? Still suspicious? Hell yeah." Brandon chuckled in amusement. "You might helped us kick some Vampire ass that day, but that was also with the help of Sow, Ariel, Faith, Aunt Ava, Uncle Cas and Levi. What are you gonna do without their help?'
Brandon smirked. "You might be surprised."
Amara crossed her arms, looking from Brandon to her family.
"Look, if you're coming with us, and all of us are going, we're not leaving Aiden in the care of your people," Ness told them. "No disrespect, but we don't trust you enough with Aiden."
"Fair point, and understood," Mick told them.
"So, we're leaving Aiden with Mary, and Mary is gonna keep an eye an him," Ness told them, looking through one of the books that Brandon had taken out.
"I see you're taking an interest in the literature we have here," Mick told her. "You know, monks like Martin Luther are among the earliest hunters. He wrote parts of that book you're holding?"
"What?" Ness asked. "This lore dates back to the 16th century?"
"Yeah," Brandon answered. "Well, in Europe, everything'd old."
"Though, we do have our fair share of new tricks for dealing with wolves," Mick told them. "Sulfate gas, silver nitrate lethal injection."
"Take a handful of silver bullets over any of that fancy crap," Catty told them.
Mick sighed. "Yes, well, thanks to that 'fancy crap', Britain's last Werewolf outbreak was in the '20s. We rooted them out, bitten and pure blood alike."
"Wait a second," Catty told them. "You killed them all? Even the ones that weren't hurting anyone?"
"Sorry?" Brandon asked.
"I mean, Werewolves aren't like most monsters," Catty told them. "Some can control it. I mean, we have a buddy who got bit. Nothing but beef hearts ever since."
"And you trust him?" Mick asked. "Well, killing is a fundamental need for Werewolves. And monsters don't just stop being monsters."
"Well, Garth did," Catty told them. "And Sabrina might be the Hybrid, but she's not a monster. There are others out there like them. They can't control who they are, and they can still be good."
Brandon took this in seriously.
§
Night - Wild Elk Lodge - Outside
Mick and Brandon led the way on the road up to the lodge, while the Impala followed, pulling over, getting out, along with Sam, Dean, Catty, Ness and Amara.
Sam looked at the hotel that was fancier than what they were used to. "This place, uh, seems a little..."
"Shabby?" Mick asked. "Yeah. Three stars was the best I could do. Least our bean counters will be happy. Booked us all suites. Dean and Ness are sharing one, of course, unless I assumed wrong."
"That is the only thing that you assumed right so far," Dean told him.
"You said three stars?" Amara asked.
"Yeah," Brandon answered.
"So we're talking fresh towels, little baby shampoos?" Amara asked.
Brandon nodded, a little confused but amused as to her excitement. "Uh-huh. And I believe there's a pool."
A bellman opened the door for them. "Welcome, all."
"Cheers, mate," Mick told him, walking inside with Brandon.
Amara looked at Sam, Dean, Ness and Catty. "See you in the morning."
Amara walked inside into the lobby, grabbing two handfuls of mint from a jar on a desk, putting them in her pocket, walking along. Dean and Ness chuckled in amusement, while Sam and Catty smiled.
"It's good to see this side of Amara again," Catty told them.
Dean and Ness smiled. "Hell yeah it is."
Dean and Ness exchanged a look, smiling. Sam and Catty chuckled.
§
Day Three
Morning - Wild Elk Lodge - Outside
Sam, Dean, Catty, Ness and Amara met back up outside.
"Mm, those pillows, right?" Dean asked. "The little chocolates that they put on? I mean, I'm ruined. Those limey sons of bitches ruined me."
"I even took a swim this morning," Amara told them.
"You brought a swimsuit?" Catty asked.
"No, Brandon gave me enough money to get one," Amara answered.
Ness smirked, nodding. "Right. Mar, is Dean gonna have to give Brandon one of his overprotective Dad talks?"
"Oh, no," Amara answered. "Hell, no. Please no."
Sam and Catty chuckled in amusement, while Dean and Ness smirked.
Catty looked at Ness. "What'd you get up to?"
"Oh, Nessie here read through more of Mick and Brandon's lore books," Dean answered.
"Really?" Catty asked. "Wow, Ness. Those three stars are wasted on you."
"Shut up, Catty," Ness told her. Catty smiled. "Anyways, listen to this. It's crazy. So apparently, back in the '30s, they were working on this treatment for Werewolves. This, like, blood therapy."
Mick and Brandon walked outside to join them.
"Plasma therapy," Mick corrected. "Useless, I'm afraid. So, how were your accommodations?"
Dean pretended to be unimpressed. "I've had better night's sleep in my baby."
A valet pulled the Impala and Mick/Brandon's car up to them.
"Come on," Catty told them. "Let's go."
Mick and Brandon got into their car. Sam and Dean got into the Impala.
Amara looked at Ness and Catty. "Not gonna give them the satisfaction."
Ness, Catty and Amara smiled, getting into the Impala.
§
On the Road - Gas Station
Octavia was driving her Camaro down the street, needing to get gas, having to stop for a moment, on the phone with Castiel, Sabrina, Ariel and Faith. "I know we got separated again, but on the way, don't worry."
Castiel, Sabrina, Ariel and Faith were sitting outside a diner where they were looking for more leads.
"Mom, I know that you had lost your wings after being brought back to life and nearly died again so many times," Faith told her. "And mainly because the Gates of Heaven are still closed. But could Sow, Ariel and I use our powers to heal your wings so that you can fly and teleport to places? Without having to drive?"
Ariel chuckled. "Yeah, Mom. We should definitely test that out. Not just for you. But for Uncle Cas and Levi, too. Don't you want your wings back?"
"Wings, yes," Octavia answered. "I'm not sure about giving up this car, though."
"Yeah, Aunt Ava's as protective of her car as Uncle Dean and Aunt Ness and my mom are protective over their cars," Sabrina told them.
Ariel and Faith laughed. Sabrina smiled.
Castiel chuckled in amusement. "Ava? Where are you?"
"Having to stop at a gas station," Octavia answered. "I gotta get gas, and I'll meet up with you four soon."
"What about Dad?" Faith asked.
"Sam, Dean, Catty, Ness and Amara are gonna be working with Mick and Brandon Davies on a Werewolf case, while Mary watches Aiden," Octavia answered. "We'll see them soon, okay? Sow, you've heard from Levi yet?"
"No," Sabrina answered. "It hasn't been that long since Levi's been in Heaven. And I'm worried. The Angels wanted him dead for a long time. And now they want his help. Or that they want to help us."
"Well, Lucifer's kids are an all hands on deck situation, Sow," Castiel told her. "I'm sure Levi's fine. Okay?"
Sabrina nodded, still worried.
"Sow, you're starting to worry on a Catty-obsessive-worry-level, and that is definitely saying something," Octavia told her.
"Well, at least Sow and Aunt Catty always have good reasons to be worried all the time, Mom," Ariel told her.
"Yeah, Ariel's right, Mom," Faith told her.
Octavia smiled. "Very true. I'll see you guys, soon, okay?" She couldn't hear their answer over the sound of static on the phone, confused. "Sow? Ariel? Faith? Cas?"
The call dropped. Octavia sighed, hanging up, putting her phone away, filling up her car with gas.
An Angel walked toward her. "Nice day out." Octavia turned to face him, drawing her Angel Sword. "Hello, Octavia."
"Kelvin?" Octavia asked.
"Oh, you remember?" Kelvin asked. "We only met the once, so..."
"What are you doing here?" Octavia asked.
"Levi sent me to seek you out," Kelvin told her. "I'm sure you know he's up in Heaven, helping us track down Kelly Kline and those unholy buns she's got in her oven. Levi trusted me to come to you to help, too. So what do you say we help each other out?"
Octavia looked at him skeptically, not knowing what to think, but since he told her that Levi sent him, deciding to hear him out.
§
Hospital - Hayden's Room
Sam, Dean, Catty, Ness, Amara, Brandon and Mick arrived so they could talk to Hayden.
Sam looked at Mick, Amara and Brandon. "Okay, stay here, keep watch. Anything comes up, I don't know, whistle."
They nodded. Sam, Dean, Catty and Ness walked into the hospital room to talk to Hayden and her mother.
"Mrs. Foster?" Ness asked. "Sorry to bother you. Agent Nicks. These are Agents McVie, Fleetwood and Spencer. Um, we'd like to ask your daughter a few questions."
"She's sleeping," Mrs. Foster told them.
"We'll be quick," Dean told her. "Promise."
"I said no," Mrs. Foster told them. "Hayden needs her rest. She's..."
Mick walked in, wearing a white doctor's coat. "Good morning. And how is our patient today?"
"I'm sorry," Mrs. Foster told him. "Who are you?"
"Dr. Buckingham," Mick told her. "Hayden's attending doctor, Dr. Markum, asked me to look in on her. Um, would it be okay to ask you just to step outside for a moment?"
Mrs. Foster stood. "I, um, of course, doctor."
Sam, Dean, Catty, Ness and Mrs. Foster left the room. Mick closed the curtain around Hayden's bed.
§
Hallway
Sam, Dean, Ness and Catty were standing with Mrs. Foster. Amara and Brandon were standing down the hallway so that they wouldn't be asked why they were with Agents or a doctor, exchanging a look as they watched.
"Not missing much over there, are we?" Brandon asked.
"Not from what I remember of my dad's memories, no," Amara answered. "It's a lot tougher to talk to grieving families than you realize."
"Must be tough, Amara," Brandon told her. Amara looked at him. "Having to grow up way too fast for someone like you. A person to miss childhood, yanked away by supernatural forces."
"I may be the one that grew up supernaturally fast because of the Darkness and the effects of the Mark, but I'm not the only one that grew up too fast," Amara told him.
"Sabrina, Ariel and Faith, you mean?" Brandon asked.
Amara shook her head. "Wasn't talking about just my cousins. My parents, Aunt Catty, Uncle Sam, they had to grow up too fast, not supernaturally fast, but mentally and physically. So did you, Brandon, it appears."
Brandon looked at Amara, nodding, looking away. "Yeah. I guess you could say that."
Brandon and Amara looked down the hallway toward the others.
Catty handed coffee to Mrs. Foster. "Here."
"Thank you," Mrs. Foster told her, taking a drink.
"No problem," Catty told her.
"I'm sorry, about all of that," Mrs. Foster told them.
"Oh, please," Ness told her. "After what you've been through, you have no reason to apologize."
§
Hayden's Room
Hayden woke up, seeing Mick. "Where's my mom?"
"Your mum's just outside," Mick answered. "Just gonna take a quick look, make sure you're okay. Brave girl."
"I don't know what happened," Hayden admitted. Mick pulled off her bandage to look at the wound on her arm. "It was so fast."
Mick replaced the bandage. "You've had quite a shock."
§
Hallway
Mrs. Foster looked at Sam, Dean, Ness and Catty. "I just--I don't even know what my kids were doing out there. You know, Hayden was supposed to be sleeping at her friend's house, and--and Ben..." She took a shaky breath, trying not to cry. "I just keep thinking this is a nightmare, you know? That I'm gonna wake up."
Catty and Ness looked at her sympathetically.
§
Hayden's Room
Mick was still examining Hayden's wounds. "Okay."
§
Hallway
Mrs. Foster looked at Sam, Dean, Ness and Catty. "I'm just glad the FBI is here, not those crazies."
"Crazies?" Dean repeated.
"Bigfoot truthers," Mrs. Foster explained. "Calling, sending emails. They thought Hayden was... like I said. Crazy."
"Huh," Dean told her.
"Two girls even came by here, saying they were from the Fish and Wildlife Service," Mrs. Foster told them, scoffing. "Barely as old as Hayden. I mean, like I'm gonna buy that."
Sam, Dean, Catty and Ness exchanged a look, knowing who the girls were before even officially knowing. Sam raised his eyebrows.
Catty looked at Mrs. Foster. "You remember what they looked like?"
"Yeah," Mrs. Foster answered. "Blonde. One had a bad attitude, while the other was pretty much void of emotion."
Dean nodded. "Okay. Thanks."
§
Hayden's Room
Mick found a bite mark on Hayden's arm, sighing in worry and regret. "Oh, no." He put the bandage back. "Okay. You're okay. You relax, okay?"
§
Hallway
Mick walked out into the hallway to join the others. "Wound's healing up nicely. Nothing too serious."
"Oh, that's so..." Mrs. Foster trailed off in relief. "Thank you so much."
"Pleasure," Mick told them.
"Excuse me," Mrs. Foster told them, walking into Hayden's room to be with her daughter.
Brandon and Amara walked toward them now that the hallway was empty.
Brandon looked at Mick sarcastically. "What's up, Doc?"
Mick gave him a look. "Brandon."
Amara stifled a chuckle. "So?"
"Was Hayden bit?" Sam asked.
Mick shook his head. "No. No, she's a lucky girl."
"Good," Brandon told them.
Amara looked at Sam, Dean, Ness and Catty. "So what was that she said about, uh, Fish and Wildlife Service? Think those girls are hunters?"
Ness nodded. "Young, blonde. One pissed off. One void of emotion. Sound like anybody we know?"
Amara sighed. "Sage and Claire."
"Who?" Brandon asked.
"Sage Sanders," Catty answered. "Claire Novak. We'll explain when we find them."

Gas Station - Outside
Octavia was leaning against her car, texting on her phone to tell Ariel and Faith, Sabrina and Castiel that she was with the Angel that claimed he had been sent to her by Levi. "So how are things in Heaven?"
"Functional," Kelvin answered. "You know, there's the usual infighting, but, let's just say that Lucifer having babies on board has brought us all together. The reason why we came to Levi for help on both sides of the equation. You know, this is an all hands on deck situation, Octavia. Including yours. Your family's."
"Okay, so you're here for my hands?" Octavia asked.
"We want you," Kelvin told her. "Look, you got more field experience than the next thousand Angels combined."
"I think you overestimate me," Octavia told him.
"I don't," Kelvin told her. "I know it's a fatal error to underestimate you, considering the only Angels able to kill you have been Lucifer himself, and an Angel that pretended to be your friend so you trusted him when he stabbed you in the back. Literally. Look, I know you married Sam Winchester. Levi told me that. You had your daughters Ariel and Faith. Sam, Dean, Catty, Ness, Amara, Castiel, Sabrina, their hearts are in the right place, and Sabrina, Ariel and Faith are no doubt powerful, but they have no idea the power they can have. That we can help you teach them. Wouldn't it be better to have us waiting in the proverbial wings? All the power of Heaven behind you?" Octavia tilted her head doubtfully. "You ever miss it? Upstairs? I mean, don't get me wrong. I love Earth. It's quirky. It smells like hay. But it's not home, is it?"
"I'm not welcome in Heaven, and I don't care to be," Octavia told him. "I have a home here now."
"No, you're not welcome up there, but I'm glad you found a second home here," Kelvin told her. "They still hold a lot of grudges up there, but Levi was granted a free pardon as long as he helped us track down Kelly Kline. What if I told you, you could back too? That all your sins could be forgotten? Forgiven? That we could help Sabrina, Ariel and Faith Winchester reach their true potential?"
"I would say that you're lying," Octavia answered.
"Oh, but I'm not," Kelvin told her. "You help us track down Kelly Kline, and you will be welcomed back into the fold. And we will help you, Sabrina, Ariel and Faith, Octavia."
Octavia rolled her eyes sarcastically. "Right, and you have the power to do that?"
"Oh, no, I can't," Kelvin answered. "I'm just the messenger. A solider. Imagine it, Octavia. Free to come and go as you please. Sabrina, Ariel and Faith, your niece and your daughters, get to be a part of something much bigger. They can become stronger, more powerful. All we ask is that you hear us out. For the greater good."
Octavia looked at him skeptically.
§
Cafe - Outside
Claire and Sage were getting food and drink. Claire was looking at her phone.
"So?" Sage asked. "Jody still think we're at a Badgers game?"
"Yeah," Claire answered. "You know, I know you don't feel guilty about lying to her, Sage, but I do."
"Perks of having no soul," Sage told her. "I don't have to feel guilty."
"Yeah, but you still behave yourself," Claire told her. "For the most part."
Sabrina appeared behind Sage, speaking sarcastically. "So a soulless Prophet and a pissed off hunter go out on a hunt together, alone. What could possibly go wrong?"
Sage nodded sarcastically. "Mm-hmm. Sounds like the start of a lame-ass joke. Hi, Sabrina. Where's the rest of the Scoobies?"
"They're here in town," Sabrina answered. "Most of them, anyway. Minus Aiden, Levi and Aunt Ava. But adding Mick and Brandon Davies. We're about to go see them."
"And?" Sage asked. "What are you doing here?"
"Claire prayed to me," Sabrina answered.
Sage looked at Claire in surprise. "You prayed to her?"
Claire looked away awkwardly and innocently. "Hey, Sabrina. What's up? Glad to know that your promise of me praying to you and you being here a second later is true to this day."
Sabrina smiled.

Night - Wild Elk Lodge - Lobby
(Song:) Dance for Lovers - William Risby (Sonic Ozault)
Sam, Dean, Ness, Catty and Amara were sitting in the lobby of the lodge, across from Sabrina, Ariel, Faith, Claire and Sage.
"So, Fish and Wildlife?" Castiel asked. "Really?'
"Claire?" Faith asked. "Sage? What are you doing here?"
"Same as you," Sage answered. "Werewolf case."
Mick and Brandon walked up to them. Mick had bottles of beer for the adults, and Brandon had sodas for him and the girls.
"Now, drinks all around," Brandon told them.
"I'll take a beer, thanks," Sage told them, taking a beer from Mick before he could object, opening the beer, drinking. She looked between Mick and Brandon. "Who are you two and why should I care?"
"Oh, I'm Brandon Davies," Brandon answered. "This is my father, Mick."
Mick offered to shake their hands. "Men of Letters. British."
Claire shook Mick and Brandon's hands, but Sage didn't bother to, drinking.
"Long story," Ariel told them. "And like, 'Downtown Abbey' boring, so..."
Amara leaned forward to take a beer instead of a sparkling water.
Ness took the beer from her. "Amara. No. Uh-uh."
Amara leaned back against her seat, sighing. "Sage gets a free pass, but we don't. Got it."
Brandon smirked in amusement.
Sage smirked smugly, raising her beer. "Cheers to that."
Sage winked at them, smirking, taking a drink.
"Anyway, Sage and I've been on this a day," Claire told them. "And guess what? The girl, Hayden? Her story about what happened the night of the attack? One big lie."
"Her mom said the same thing," Catty told them.
"Where was she?" Ariel asked.
"She was at the local dive bar, getting trashed," Claire answered. "Sage and I tracked her phone and asked around, and..." Ariel tasted a sip of sparkling water, seeming to like the taste, taking another drink. "Bartenders love me, and they love Sage. It's a gift."
"Same here," Amara told them. "Mom and Aunt Catty, too. The same would probably go for Sow, Ariel and Faith if they weren't always flitting around the globe trying to fix things."
Sabrina, Ariel, Faith, Amara, Sage and Claire exchanged an amused smirk.
"So where's Levi and Ava?" Claire asked.
"Levi's up in Heaven looking for a big lead," Sabrina answered.
"Ava told us that she was talking to an Angel that sent Levi to her," Castiel told them. "Which is why she got held up."
Claire looked at the girls. "It's weird to see someone else close to my and Sage's age--technically--in the hunting life. You know, Alex doesn't hunt, but Sage had to to kinda stay in control."
"And you prayed to Sow?" Ariel asked. "Why?"
"Because I might have thrown a beer bottle a guy's head last night," Sage answered.
They looked at her in surprise. "What?"
"Relax," Sage told them. "The guy was a scumbag. Tribal tat, motorcycle, grabby."
"Grabby?" Faith repeated.
"Sage handled him trying to get her to go there pretty well, if you call throwing a beer bottle at his head for him to get the hint to back off," Claire told them.
"And was that the first of these outbursts from Sage?" Castiel asked.
"Mostly Sage's outbursts were on monsters that we were hunting and I knew that it was a good release, so I was okay with that," Claire explained. "After Sage threw the beer bottle at the guy's head..."
"You called Sow," Faith finished. "Because you didn't know how to go from there."
"Hello, Faith, right here," Sage told her. "And it was one guy that wouldn't stop grabbing me. So. Promise that's the only outburst on guys like that."
"You sure?" Catty asked.
Sage nodded. "Claire called Sabrina to hopefully get it under control before it got out of control. But I'm good. I feel great."
"I'm sorry, what's wrong with Sage?" Brandon asked.
"We'll get back to that," Sabrina told them.
Mick stood. "Right. Think I'm gonna call it a night."
Brandon looked at his watch. "Dad, it's 5:30."
"Yeah, but my report's due at 6:00 sharp," Mick told them. He looked at Sage and Claire. "Nice meeting you."
Sage raised her bottle, drinking. Mick walked away.
"So, the older foreign exchange student is totally lame," Sage told them.
"Yeah, well, that's my father for you," Brandon told them. "All work, no play."
Brandon took a drink. Amara looked at him in amusement, taking a drink.
Ariel looked at Sage and Claire. "Anyway, why are you two alone?"
"Jody's busy with Sheriff stuff," Claire told them. "And she said to call if we found anything."
"So you called her?" Castiel asked.
"I called Sabrina first and she showed up," Claire answered.
Sage gave Claire a look. "Yeah, because you feel the need to babysit me."
"We're just trying to look out for you, Sage," Castiel told her. "Make sure that nothing bad happens that can't be undone."
"Well, I haven't done anything worse than throwing a beer bottle at the guy that wouldn't take no for an answer," Sage told them.
"Sage's not lying about that part," Claire admitted. "Even the supernatural kills that we did together, she was on good behavior."
"Besides, since you asked about Jody, she's great, by the way," Sage told them. "And so is Alex. So, should we go to the morgue?"
"Take it easy, Clarice," Dean told her. "Morgue's closed."
"By the way, when's the last time you two had a hot meal that didn't come from a Gas-n-Sip microwave?" Catty asked.
"Not that there's anything wrong with that," Sam told them. "Catty just has her protective mom mode on."
"It's been a while," Claire answered.
Brandon leaned forward to pick up a menu from the table, handing it to Claire and Sage, clearing his throat. "Well, go nuts. It's on me."
Sage smirked. "Cool."
"Yeah, just thank Harry Potter," Amara told them.
Brandon titled his head at Amara in amusement. Amara smirked, taking a drink of soda.
Claire laughed. "Yeah, thanks."
The others exchanged a look.

Hospital - Hayden's Room
Hayden was sleeping. Mrs. Foster kissed her on the head, leaving the room, walking down the hallway.
Mick (in the doctor's coat) entered the room, standing by Hayden's bed, pulling a large syringe out his coat pocket, whispering in guilt. "I'm sorry."
Mick injected the syringe into Hayden's IV line.Outside, the clouds cleared and the moon shone in the window. Hayden opened her glowing gold eyes. Her nails grew into long, black points. She attacked Mick, shrieking and growling, clawing into his shoulder. Mick turned quickly, plunging the syringe into her chest. Hayden fell to the floor with the syringe still stuck in her. Her eyes turned normal as she stopped breathing.
§
Hallway
Mick left the room, clutching his shoulder, heading down the hallway. Mrs. Foster and some nurses entered Hayden's room.
Mick's guilt only grew when he heard Mrs. Foster crying and screaming. "No! No!'
§
Parking Lot
Octavia was still talking to Kelvin, trying to leave in her car, but Kelvin was standing in the way.
Octavia looked around, twisting her Angel Sword in her hand. "Levi didn't send you, did he? I know Levi, and he knows that the Angels hate me, and what they used to want to do in order to try to control Sabrina, what they would want to do to try to control Ariel and Faith. Now, Levi is with Sabrina, and he's been a teacher and a mentor to Ariel and Faith, and he's my friend, and he's Cas' friend. Levi wouldn't put us in danger like this. He's done a lot, and put himself through a lot of danger so that we were safe."
"You're right about that," Kelvin told her.
"Is he really in Heaven?" Octavia asked. "Is Levi alive?"
"Oh, he's fine," Kelvin answered. "In fact, we need him alive, and we can't hurt him."
"Yeah, and I'm not just gonna take your word for it," Octavia told him. "Just like I'm not just gonna pretend like I don't sense more than a dozen Angels out there, waiting in the wings in case I say no to your little deal." Kelvin smirked. "You weren't waiting for me to say yes, you were distracting me so that your little friends could try to take me off guard. Dead or alive, right?"
"Oh, no," Kelvin answered. "Just like Levi, we need you alive. Now, Levi's not gonna be hurt. But you are."
The Angels all stepped out of hiding, surrounding them, holding Angel Blades.
"Whatever you do, even if you do hurt Levi, he's not gonna let you get to Sabrina, Ariel and Faith, and neither am I," Octavia told them. "We would both die before we let anyone harm them."
"We're not trying to harm them, Octavia," Kelvin told her. "And we're not going to do anything to them. And neither is Levi. You are."
Octavia frowned in confusion, spinning the sword in her hand in preparation for the fight as all the Angels lunged toward her. Angel 1 slashed toward her. Octavia whipped her sword to make Angel 1's Blade fall to the ground, punching him in the face, kicking him in the chest, making him fall into the brick wall and fall to the ground, stabbing him with the Angel Sword, killing him with a bright flash of white light, taking out the sword. Angel 2 attacked Octavia from behind, tackling her to the ground. Octavia kicked him off of her, making him roll over her head to the ground, spinning into a standing position, holding up her sword in warning, slitting it deeply into Angel 2's stomach, deep enough to kill him and cause a flash of white light, taking it out, letting him fall. Angel 3 slashed toward Octavia from behind. Octavia ducked, turning to face him, using her sword to block the moves that the Angels tried against her, kicking the Angel Blade out of Angel 3's hand, making it flip through the air toward her, catching it in her other hand, spinning the Angel Blade and Angel Sword in either of her hands to get a better grip, stabbing Angel 3 and Angel 4 in the chests when they tried to stab her, killing them with a flash of white light, taking the sword/blade out, letting them fall. Angel 5 slashed toward her. Octavia backed away enough to make him miss, using her sword to block the next move, using the Angel Blade she had stolen to slit him in the cheek, making blood leak out with Grace. Angel 5 caught her blade with his own, twisting his blade around mine to try to take it from her. Octavia used her sword to pull her blade free hard enough to make Angel 5 flip through the air and fall to the ground, kneeling next to him to stab him in the chest with the blade, killing him, light flashing, taking it out, standing, turning to face the other Angels with a blade and a sword in either hand. Angel 6 spun to slash toward her. Octavia ducked, spinning closer to slit Angel 6 in the side with her sword, deep enough to kill him, taking it out, kicking his body to the ground as he flashed with bright white light, dead. Angel 7 slashed toward her repeatedly. Octavia ducked, slashing her sword and blade against the Angels' Blades to block their moves. Angel 7 ran closer to try to run her through with his blade. Octavia caught his arms, twisting the blade out of his hand, punching him in the face, driving her sword through his stomach, killing him with a flash of bright white light, kicking the body into the rest of the Angels, making them fall, but they quickly got back up. Angel 8 slashed toward her repeatedly. Octavia used the sword and blade to block the moves in a blur of motion, hitting him in the face, kicking him in the chest, stabbing him in the stomach, killing him, another light flash. Angel 9 ran toward her to try to take her down. Octavia ducked out of the way, spinning to kick the blade out of his hands, punching him in the face, stabbing him, killing him with another light flash, pushing him into the oncoming Angels.
Hearing Angelic screaming in Octavia's head through Angel Radio, it was enough to slow her down and make her hold her head in pain as she tried to shut the voices out. But they were so loud and disorienting that Octavia couldn't push them out completely, also making it impossible for her to pray to Sabrina, Ariel and Faith for help. Angel 10 ran toward Octavia when she was distracted, pushing her against the wall, locking Enochian warded handcuffs around her wrist and his.
Octavia struggled to get my wrist free, angry. "No."
Octavia tried to use her other arm to stab Angel 10 with her sword when Angel 11 caught her arm, turning the Angel Sword to stab it into her side to make her weakened, but not enough to kill her, making her groan in agony as he pulled the sword out of the wound, locking another pair of warded cuffs around her other wrist so they could keep her from fighting any longer.
Kelvin walked closer. "Told you it was a mistake to underestimate you."
Octavia glared at them angrily, struggling but couldn't get free.

Day Four
Morning - Hospital - Hayden's Room
Castiel, Sam, Dean, Catty and Ness were standing nearby Hayden's dead body in suits. Mick, Brandon, Amara, Sage and Claire were standing nearby, also in suits.
"Thanks for coming by so quickly," the doctor told them. "Mrs. Foster gave us your number."
"Do you have any idea what happened to her?" Castiel asked.
"Autopsy's tomorrow, but it could be an arterial embolism, cardiac arrest," the doctor told them.
"A heart attack at her age?" Sam asked.
"It gets weirder," the doctor told them. "When we admitted her, she had defensive wounds to her arms. Now..." He pulled back a blanket covering Hayden, exposing her arms. "They're gone. Just, uh, give me a second."
"Sure," Catty told him. Once the doctor left the room, Sabrina, Ariel and Faith appeared. "Hey. Did you meet up with Ava?"
"Aunt Ava left a message saying that the Angel Levi sent to her wanted her to talk to Levi," Sabrina told them. "Said she might be MIA for a few days."
"Now, what about Werewolf Mania over here?" Ariel asked.
"We don't know," Claire told them.
"Yeah, like, seriously, what the hell?" Sage asked.
Ness looked at Mick. "You checked Hayden out. Did you notice anything weird?"
Mick shook his head. "No, but, uh, the girl could've had internal injuries, or..."
Amara seemed to know that Mick was lying, frowning in confusion. "But somehow, her external injuries all healed? No way."
Sabrina walked toward the body. "The scent's almost like, uh.. you know, it's like she turned."
"What?" Faith asked. "Like, 'wolfed out' turned?"
"Explains the whole Wolverine healing factor thing," Brandon told them.
"Yeah, no, but that'd be crazy, because that means she would've been bit," Catty told them. "And Mick here says that that didn't happen. Right, Mick?"
Mick looked a little nervous. "Uh... uh, no, not--not that I saw."
Sabrina and Amara both sensed that he was lying, looking at Mick weirdly.
"Are you 100% sure?" Castiel asked.
"Unless I made a mistake," Mick told them.
"Hell of a mistake," Dean told him.
"Dean..." Ness trailed off.
"No, I told you we should've done this alone," Dean told them. "I told you."
"Don't," Ness told them. "Whatever got Hayden is still out there."
"Okay," Ariel told them. "So, let's say the night of the attack, wolf ices big bro, chomps down on little sis, and then, poof, vanishes? Does that make any sense?"
"Unless he let her go," Sage told them.
"On purpose?" Faith asked. "Why?"
"Perhaps he didn't want her dead," Castiel answered. "He wanted her turned."
"Right," Sabrina agreed. "Which means this wasn't random."
"Which means it would've been somebody who knew her," Faith told them. "Friends. Family."
"Or someone from the bar," Ariel told them. "So... what now?"
"Okay," Sam told them. "Cas, Ariel, Faith, can you keep checking up for Ava? I know Levi's working with Angels, and an Angel was sent to Ava by Levi, but I just have a bad feeling."
"Yeah, of course, Dad," Faith answered.
"What about the rest of you?" Ariel asked.
"Ness, you, Amara, Claire, Catty, Sage and Sabrina talk to the girl that she was supposed to be crashing with," Dean told her. "Me, Sam, Mick and Brandon will hit the bar, see what shakes loose."
"Cas..." Catty trailed off. "Let us know what you learn about Levi and Ava."
Castiel nodded. "Of course."
§
Road
Ness, Catty, Amara, Sabrina, Sage and Claire were by Sage and Claire's car.
Sage fished around the backseat for her headphones, placing them around her neck.
"So, really, things are good?" Amara asked.
Sage nodded. "Yeah. They're awesome."
"Really?" Ness asked. "You sure?"
"Ness, take the yes," Sage told her.
Sabrina chuckled. "That rhymed."
"Okay," Catty told them. "All right, it's lucky that the boys are talking to the guys at the bar, while us girls are gonna talk to the girls at the high school."
"Right, because who do you think the kids are gonna wanna talk to?" Claire asked. "Girls, or some creepy dudes?" The others chuckled in amusement. "Exactly. Let's go."
§
Bar
(Song:) Save Me Tonight - Sonny Ellis
Mick, Brandon, Sam and Dean walked up to the bar.
Mick sighed, looking at his son. "Brandon, what happened back there... my mistake..." He looked at Sam and Dean. "It won't happen again."
"Better not," Dean told him.
Mick tried and failed to open the door.
"Problem?" Brandon asked.
Mick sighed. "The old carpal tunnel."
Brandon opened the door, walking in. "Well, allow me."
The other boys followed. "Thanks."
They walked up to a bartender named Justin.
"Howdy," Dean told him. "Agents Strummer, Jones, Simonon and Vai."
"Uh, hi," Justin told them.
Sam showed him a picture of Hayden. "Do you recognize this girl? She was here three nights ago."
Justin shook his head. "Yeah, not really."
"Yeah, I'd lie if I served underage girls, too," Brandon told him.
Justin sighed. "Look, man, I... I really need this job. She started coming in a few weeks ago after Connor got hired."
"Connor?" Sam repeated.
Justin nodded. "Yeah, the other bartender. They're having a thing."
"What kind of a thing?" Dean asked.
"Ask him," Justin told them, pointing to the bartender walking closer.
"Hey, Connor," Dean told him. They saw the tribal tat on his neck, realizing that he was the guy that Sage and Claire had been talking about. "Oh, nice ink."
§
Table
Now the boys were sitting at a table.
"So you like high school girls, do you?" Dean asked. "You get older, they stay the same age. Is that it?"
Connor shook his head with a smirk. "That's not how it was."
"Oh, so you weren't dating Hayden Foster?" Sam asked.
"Dating?" Connor repeated. "No, I let her in from time to time. She is stupid hot, okay? But that's it, I swear."
"And the night she got attacked, did you let her in that night, too?" Brandon asked.
"Look, I don't know what happened," Connor told them. "I was behind the bar the whole night. I didn't even see her leave."
"And then what did you do?" Brandon asked.
"I guess I went home," Connor told them.
"You guess?" Dean repeated. "Well, it's a simple question, Connor. We ask what you were doing, then you tell us." He pointed at Mick. "For instance, what were you doing last night?"
"Me?" Mick asked.
"Yeah," Sam answered.
"Oh, I was writing my report," Mick told them.
"And then?" Sam asked.
Mick seemed to know that the Winchesters were onto him, and that Brandon knew that he was lying to even his own son. "Well, I watched an episode of 'The Great British Bake Off' and went to bed."
Brandon looked at Connor. "See? Simple."
"I went home, man," Connor told them. "And I didn't do anything to that girl, okay?"
The boys stood to leave.
"Yeah, we'll see," Dean told him.
"Oh, one more thing," Sam told him. "Um, did you happen to meet two blonde girls the other night? One's got a bad attitude, the other's kind of void, both of them are feisty?"
"Yeah, yeah," Connor answered. "Said they were Hayden's cousins. Crazy bitch threw a beer at me."
Brandon chuckled. "Well, from what we heard, you earned it."
"Dude, come on," Connor told them. "Girls like that?"
Connor snorted, laughing.
"Yeah," Sam told him. "I wouldn't ever touch her again. Otherwise she just might break your face."
§
Outside
Sam, Dean, Brandon and Mick walked outside.
Brandon looked at Mick sarcastically. "Nice work in there. That alibi, I almost bought it."
"Brandon--" Mick started.
"See, Sabrina and Amara were looking at you like they knew you were hiding something," Brandon told him. "Amara told me that she can sense when someone's lying to her. Probably the same way that Aiden can sense evil."
"Yeah, and well, Sow, she can obviously tell when someone's lying, and she can easily get into someone's head, but we keep telling her not to do that because it's wrong, so she didn't read your mind," Dean told him. "Which you should thank her for, but it doesn't matter either way. Here's the thing about 16 year old girls, especially 16 year old freshly minted Werewolf girls. They don't just die, and you've been acting sketchy all day."
Sam gripped the shoulder that Mick had gotten slashed in. "What did you do to her?"
Mick groaned in pain. "I did what needed to be done."
"And that means?" Sam asked.
"Last night, I injected her with silver nitrate," Mick answered.
Sam let him go.
Brandon sighed. "So you killed her. And you didn't tell me."
"Well, she attacked me," Mick told them. "She tore up my shoulder. And I had orders."
"You had a choice," Dean told him.
"Did I?" Mick asked. "Killing monsters is what we do. Or maybe having extraordinary children and palling around with Demons and Witches, your family has forgotten."
Dean pushed Mick. "Don't talk like that about our kids, and don't tell us how to do our job."
"Well, then do it," Mick told them.
"You think it's that simple, huh?" Sam asked.
"I really do," Mick answered.
"Yeah, we used to think the same thing, me, Dean and Catty, until Ness showed us a better way," Sam told them. "Well, here's a little tip, things aren't just black and white out here."
"All you have is a case in front of you, like Hayden," Dean told them. "Like a few months ago, there was this kid, this Psychic. She was killing people, but she didn't mean to hurt anyone. She was being abused. So we gave her a second chance because it was the right thing to do."
Brandon thought about this for a moment. "Sounds like it makes the job harder."
"It did, at first, yeah, because it complicated a lot of things," Sam agreed. "But you know we're right, Brandon. You helped save us more than once, and you even apologized to Ness and Amara about what your people did to them and Ava, Aiden, Ariel and Faith, that no one else in your organization was going to apologize for, but you did. And why did you?"
"Because I wanted to do the right thing," Brandon answered.
"There you go," Dean told him.
"But we have a Code," Brandon told them. "And anyone who breaks the Code... their punishment is death at the hands of the old men."
"Well, now Hayden's mom, she gets to bury two kids instead of one, thanks to your 'old men' and thanks to your Code," Dean told them.
Sam and Dean walked away. Brandon sighed, obviously really conflicted. Mick was consumed with guilt.
§
High School - Outside
The girls had just finished talking to the girls at school about Hayden.
"BFF found," Sabrina told them. "Beans spilled. Hayden was hooking up with this older guy on the DL, and she was really into him, but he was a total stalker. Texting constantly, ultra possessive. Skeeved her friend out so much she narc'd to Hayden's brother."
"Guess that explains why he was there," Ness told them.
"We did good, right?" Claire asked.
"Claire, Sage, why does Jody think you're in Madison looking at colleges?" Catty asked.
"You called her?" Sage asked. They nodded. "Did you tell?"
"No," Amara answered. "Not yet. But why are you two lying to her?"
Claire sighed. "Look, I--I know, okay? I know how much I owe Jody. But we tried the whole hunting thing, and Sage and I just ended up sitting in the car while she does everything."
Amara looked at Sabrina, Catty and Ness. "Sounds familiar."
"'Cause we're taking it slow for all of you to protect you," Sabrina told them.
"Jody wants us to be normal, go to nursing school like Alex," Claire told them.
"Did she actually say that?" Sabrina asked.
"She doesn't have to," Sage told them. "I was gonna go off on my own, but Claire followed me so that I didn't get into trouble."
"Good," Ness told her. "That's good, Sage. We don't know what might happen."
"I'm not just some psycho that's gonna kill or hurt everything in my path," Sage told them. "Considering that I don't have a soul, and I'm a 'Prophet of the Lord', I'm never gonna be normal. But I'm not gonna go postal."
"We know that, Sage," Amara told her.
"You know, we've met more than our fair share of people without their souls," Catty told her. "And they always react differently. Sam and Dean didn't have their souls once."
Sage was surprised to hear this. "Really?"
"Yeah, really," Ness answered. "And Sam and Dean threw themselves into hunting. Only time someone innocent got hurt was when Sam thought he was gonna be destroyed by getting his soul back, but most of the time, he kept his best stuff for the bad guys."
"And?" Sage asked. "Who else?"
"We met the people that the Darkness used Amara's body to steal," Sabrina explained. "When the Darkness possessed Amara. Now, some of them were psycho. But not all of them. In fact, one of them, she killed this kid's parents because they were abusing him. Because she thought that she could take better care of that kid than they could. Because she was trying to save him. And then another? Len? He didn't hurt anyone. He even turned himself into the police to have him locked away for murders that he didn't even commit. Just so that he could make sure that he never hurt anyone."
"You can stay good, Sage," Amara told her. "Even without your soul. And we can help you with that. I know that with your soul, you'd be pretty much devastated after you watched your entire town and family get killed by the Darkness, but..."
"Yeah, I remember them," Sage told them. "I remember how I used to feel about them. I just don't feel anything anymore. I still think about them though. I'm not the Sage Sanders back Lewis, Oklahoma anymore."
"But you're not gone, either," Catty told her. "That's what matters. Okay? You've been doing good, all things considering. And we can help you make sure that it stays that way."
Ariel and Faith appeared behind them with Castiel. "Sow."
The girls looked at them in surprise.
"What is it?" Sabrina asked.
"We couldn't find Ava," Castiel answered.
"She said that she was talking to the Angel that Levi sent to her, right?" Sabrina asked.
"Remember how Dad said that he had the bad feeling about Mom?" Ariel asked.
"Ariel and I have that bad feeling," Faith told them.
Ness nodded. "Sow, go with them. We'll handle the case."
"Are you sure?" Ariel asked.
"Yeah," Ness answered. "If you feel like something's wrong with Ava, you should find out if there is or not."
"Thank you," Castiel told them.
"Cas, do you think Ava's okay?" Catty asked worriedly.
Castiel didn't know the answer, just as worried. "We'll find out if we can find her, Catty. When we'll bring Ava home."
Sabrina nodded, disappearing with Ariel, Faith and Castiel.
Sage was thinking about everything they had told her. "I'm gonna go for a walk."
Sage walked away.
"Sage..." Claire trailed off.
"Just give her a minute, Claire," Catty told her. "Sage has a lot to think about."
Claire nodded in agreement. "Catty? Do you really think she's gonna be okay?"
"Yeah," Catty answered. "We'll make sure of it."

Woods
(Song:) Make Me Wanna Die - The Pretty Reckless
Sage was walking through the woods, listening to the song through her headphones, thinking about the the other girls had told her. She took off her headphones, leaving them around her neck, looking around. She put them back over her ears. A Werewolf in black was behind her, lunging toward her. Sage saw his shadow on the ground, ducking to the side, pulling out her knife, spinning to face him, holding up her knife, spinning it around in her hand, caught off guard for a fight, slashing the silver knife across his skin a few times, making him burn and yell in pain, going in for the kill by stabbing the point of the knife into his chest, trying to drive it home, but the Werewolf managed to catch her wrist and stop her from driving the knife into his heart, yelling in pain as he ripped the knife from his knife before it could kill him. The Werewolf tackled her to the ground, using his superhuman strength to pin her down, biting her on her shoulder, making her yell out in pain.

§
Sage was left alone on the ground after what happened, groaning in pain, sitting up, disoriented. Claire, Catty, Ness and Amara ran toward her. Sage couldn't see them through blurry vision, picking up her knife in defense.
Amara caught her wrist. "Sage. Sage! Hey. Hey."
"Sage?" Ness asked. "Hey, it's us. It's us. We got you." Sage dropped the knife. "We got you."
"You're safe," Catty told her.
Claire looked at the bite mark on Sage's shoulder in shock. "Oh, my God. Guys... Sage was bitten."
§
Hotel Room
The girls had taken Sage back to the hotel room to meet up with the boys. Sage's bite wound was bandaged.
"We gotta cool her off," Ness told them. "She's burning up."
Mick grabbed a blanket. "No, no, no, keep her warm."
Sam turned angrily toward Mick. "Back off."
"Shut up," Dean told him angrily.
"Look, I understand you're angry," Mick told them.
"Mick, you killed a kid," Catty told him. "We're not angry. We're done."
"How long does Sage have until..." Claire trailed off.
"Sometimes it takes a full moon," Brandon told them. "Sometimes, it just takes time."
Sage nodded voidly.
Amara sat next to Sage. "Hey. Hey, listen to me. Look, nobody said this was gonna be easy, okay? But you can live with this. Just like you've been living without your soul."
"Soulless Werewolf Prophet?" Sage asked. "Sounds like a bad horror movie."
"Hey, look, so you--you have to stay locked up a few nights out of the month, okay?" Catty asked. "The rest of the time, you're you."
"Unless I break out," Sage told them. "Maybe some people can control this. But a girl without her soul? You said that Len guy was willing to lock himself up for the rest of his life to prevent himself from hurting anyone. Though he hadn't hurt anyone before and never wanted to. I never hurt anyone Human. It'd be cool to keep it that way."
"Sage, there may be another way," Ness told her. She pointed at Mick and Brandon. "There's--there's the blood therapy that you talked about."
"We told you," Brandon told them. "It doesn't work."
Ness read from the book. "It says right here, uh, one of nine test subjects was cured."
"Cured?" Sam repeated.
"Yes," Ness answered.
"That study was on mice," Brandon told them.
Claire stood, walking toward Mick and Brandon. "You want to tell me what the hell Ness is talking about? Because soulless or not, Sage is my friend, and I'm not losing her over your stupid Code. Sage saved my life while we've been hunting together more than once. And if she can do that without her soul, then she can still be saved."
"We experimented with the blood of sire Werewolves," Mick explained. "And we found it was possible to reverse the early stages of Lycanthrophy, in rodents."
"So you never tested on Humans?" Catty asked.
"Once," Mick answered.
"And?" Amara asked.
"The subject died... in agony," Mick answered. "Sorry."
Sage nodded. "Yeah. Maybe second time's a charm."
Dean turned toward Sage. "Hey, no, no. You don't get a vote in this."
"It's my life," Sage told them. "I get all the votes."
"Catty, Sam, you wanna back me up here?" Dean asked.
Sam and Catty sighed. "Dean..."
Dean rolled his eyes. "Ness? Amara?"
"It's her life," Amara told them.
"Dean, if we don't cure Sage, then she's going to be a soulless Werewolf," Ness told him. "She's right. She might not be able to control it. We might not have another choice."
Dean sighed, knowing she was right.
Claire turned to Mick and Brandon. "I bet you think this is a great solution. Hmm? It works, or Sage dies. If it works, there's one less monster. If it doesn't, she dies, and there's one less soulless person. Right?"
"I don't think there's any great solutions here," Brandon told them, looking genuinely sad and sympathetic, which surprised them all. "Soulless or not, Sage seems well-behaved for the most part. Only acting out when someone pushes her like Connor at the bar."
"And we've been aware of soulless people behaving in the past," Mick told them.
"All right," Catty told them. "If we do this--if... how do we get it done?"
"We need blood, live blood, from the Werewolf that bit her," Brandon answered.
"Good," Amara told them. "Great. Who we looking at?"
"Like Brandon said, Connor, back at the bar," Sam told them. "We shook him down about Sage, and right after, she gets bit. That's not a coincidence."
"Timeline fits," Ness told them. "Connection to both victims."
"Then we should go," Mick told them. "The full moon rises in less than an hour. And if she turns and feeds, our cheery success rate drops to zero."
"Let's go," Catty told them. They turned to leave. Catty looked at Sage, Claire, Amara and Brandon. "Not you guys. You stay here."
Dean looked at Mick. "You are coming with us, so we can keep an eye on you."
Sam nodded to Brandon and Mick. "You trust them?"
"Well, you said that Brandon didn't know that Mick killed Hayden until you all realized the truth after Sabrina and I knew that Mick was lying to us," Amara told them.
"Right, because Mick was protecting his son Brandon from violence just as much as we try to protect our kids from it, but all of them were forced into this life, by either birth, the Darkness, or by the Men of Letters," Ness told them.
"That's why we're giving you just enough trust to get this job done," Amara told them.
"Right, so while we take Mick along for the ride to keep an eye on him, Amara, you stay here and keep an eye on Brandon so he doesn't try anything funky," Dean told her. "You teens can bond."
"If you guys don't get back here in time and I turn, just call Sabrina, Ariel and Faith and have them smite me away," Sage told them, sitting on the bed.
"We're gonna save you," Sam told her. "Sage, you want to be saved. And for being soulless, that's saying a lot. You're not a lost cause like you think you are, and that's probably because of the Prophet of the Lord side of you. Just keep a hold of that side of you, okay?"
Sage rolled her eyes, but nodded. Sam, Dean, Ness, Catty and Mick walked out, leaving.
Claire sat down next to Sage. "You okay?"
Sage nodded sarcastically. "Yeah. Peaches and cream."
§
Later
Sage was looking out of the window toward the full moon. Claire was sitting down anxiously. Brandon and Amara were sitting down.
"Let's give it time," Brandon told them.
Sage was holding her shoulder, pulling down the sleeve of her jacket, taking off her bandage, looking in the mirror to see the bite wound on her shoulder heal. She saw Amara's gun on the table, walking toward it.
Amara took the gun away, standing. "Sage, no."
Claire stood. "The fact that you want to kill yourself right now means that we can save you."
Brandon stood. "I know a man who would shoot you right now without a moment's thought. Whether you were a Werewolf or not. Now, instincts have been hardwired into our ways and brains by the old men and by the Code. And for a long time, that was all any of us had. But that hasn't been so grand of late. Sage, if you were as bad as some of them out there, you would have already killed us, before you got bitten. But you didn't. And you never tried to harm Claire, Jody or Alex, did you?"
"No," Sage answered.
"And you've been hunting," Claire told her. "You've been taking out monsters. And saving people's lives. Don't tell me that it was all for nothing, Sage. Sit down."
Sage sighed, sitting down. "Fine. But if I turn before they get back... if I lose control... you're gonna have to shoot me. Or I'm gonna kill you."
"They're gonna make it back in time," Amara told her. "Now, here's what we're gonna do." She picked up binds. "We're gonna restrain you for our protection, okay? So you don't lose control. And then we're gonna sedate you so you don't break free. With any luck, when you wake up, this will all be over."
"If I wake up," Sage corrected. "Without a soul, I haven't slept a day. Do you think sedation's gonna work?"
"Hopefully," Claire answered. "I gotta call Jody and Alex. Jody's gonna be so mad at me for letting this happen to you."
"You didn't let anything happen to me, Claire," Sage told her.
A Werewolf burst into the room.
Brandon stood with his gun. "Amara, get back! Protect them."
Brandon shot the Werewolf, but the wolf managed to dodge to where the bullet hit his shoulder instead of hit heart. The Werewolf threw Brandon into the wall, making him fall unconscious.
Amara checked on him to make sure he was alive. "Brandon?"
The Werewolf stalked closer. Sage threw a vase over the wolf's head, making it shatter. The Werewolf punched Claire out. Sage started to lunge forward when another Werewolf in black grabbed Sage from behind, constricting his arms around her. Amara threw a silver knife into Wolf 1's chest, nearly getting his heart, as a distraction, grabbing Brandon's gun, trying to shoot the wolves, but the gun clicked as there were no bullets left. Wolf 1 punched Amara unconscious, dragging her away.
§
Sam, Dean, Catty, Ness and Mick got back to the hotel room.
"So, trying to find Connor was a bust," Catty told them. "Should've called Sow to try to get her tracking wolves."
"Yeah, but Sow, Ariel, Faith and Cas are making sure that Ava's okay," Sam told them.
"Yeah," Dean agreed.
They walked into the room to see that it was trashed and the girls were gone, and Brandon was just waking up on the floor.
"Amara?" Ness asked worriedly. "Sage? Claire?"
Brandon groaned in pain.
Mick ran over to help Brandon up worriedly. "Brandon? What happened?"
"Two wolves jumped us," Brandon answered. "Wasn't just one. Pretty sure they took the girls so they could turn Claire and Amara just like they turned Sage." Sam, Dean, Catty and Ness were horrified. "I tried to stop them. I can find them. I put a tracker in Sage's pocket."
"You planted a bug on her?" Catty asked in disbelief.
"Look, I want to save Sage just as much as you do," Brandon told them. "And now Claire and Amara as well. So, if you wanna kill me, kill me. But do it after we find Amara, Sage and Claire."
Sam, Dean, Ness and Catty exchanged a look, sighing, looking at Brandon and Mick.

Wolf's House - Living Room
Sage, Amara and Claire were restrained to beams. Amara and Claire had both been bitten. The two wolves walked closer, removing their hoods, revealing Justin and Connor from the bar.
"I know this is sudden, but you and your friends, you should've let us have Hayden," Justin told them. "She was miserable here. She and I had big plans."
"Yeah?" Claire asked. "Was that before or after you bit her?"
"We had to know if she could survive the change," Justin told them. "Not everyone does." The girls groaned in pain as they felt the effects of the full moon. "See? It hurts at first, but eventually, it's like the best drug ever times a thousand."
Amara rolled her eyes. "Right. Eat me, Teen Wolves."
"It's not like we want to do this," Connor told them. "Our pack, we were happy. We didn't hurt anyone. And then hunters with weapons that we've never seen before, they show up and take out 20 of us, just like that. The ones that made it, we split up, but we weren't meant to live like that. A Werewolf needs his pack." He walked toward Sage. "And you, I could smell it on you. Or not smell it, I should say. You're missing a piece right inside, aren't you, Sage? That's why I chose you. The girl without a soul turned into a Werewolf? Perfect killing machine. Picking you three for a new pack, for revenge... it's sweet."
"Yeah, grabby hands, real glad I threw that beer bottle at you now," Sage told him. She looked at Claire and Amara. "At least we can still say that I haven't hurt anyone Human, since the guy I threw the beer at is a wolf trying to turn me." She looked at Justin and Connor. "You know who you two are? Clingy, insecure bitches with mommy issues."
"You'll feel better once you eat," Justin told them, bringing three hearts over. "Try them. You'll like them."
The wolves forced the hearts into the girls' mouths as they struggled. The girls spat back at them.
"Getting to Amara is revenge against the hunters and British, seeming that you're so close with all of them," Justin told her. "But as soon as we saw Claire and Sage, we knew you were just like us. Alone."
"Wrong," Claire told them. "We have a family." She looked at Sage significantly. "And they love us."
Claire, Amara and Sage groaned in pain as the change took hold, as the wolves watched with satisfied smirks. The girls looked up. Their eyes were glowing gold.
Sam, Dean, Ness, Catty, Brandon and Amara arrived. Sam and Brandon ran toward the wolves, tackling them over a table, making them all fall to the floor.
"Amara?" Dean asked worriedly. Claire, Amara and Sage turned toward them, starting to transformed. "Claire. Sage."
"Hey," Ness told them. "All right. Easy."
Claire, Amara and Sage broke free of the ropes tying them to the posts easily, losing control to the transformation, eyes glowing, fangs and claws drawn.
"Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa," Catty told them, picking up a pan to use as a shield as Sage tried to slash into her. "Sage. It's okay."
The wolves, Sam and Brandon stood. Justin slashed toward Sam. Sam ducked, punching him in the face. Brandon slammed a chair over Connor's head, making him fall and the chair break into wooden splinters. Sam and Brandon grabbed the wolves to restrain them.
"Dad, hurry!" Brandon told him.
Mick jammed two syringes into the wolves to draw their blood for the cure. Justin headbutted Sam to make him let go and fall to the floor. Connor broke free, trying to backhand punch Brandon in the face. Brandon ducked, using a chair to slam into Connor, making him flip through the air and fall to the floor. Claire tried to slash toward Ness.
Ness ducked, grabbing Claire, turning around to push her into the fridge, making her fall. "Sorry, Claire."
Amara grabbed Dean, throwing him against the wall, making him fall. The male wolves were about to lunge for Sam to kill him. Brandon and Mick shot the two male wolves in the heart with silver bullets, killing them and making them fall, saving Sam's life. Sam and Brandon took two syringes from Mick, while Mick held the third. Claire, Sage and Amara stood together, growling.
Catty helped Dean stand, pulling Dean and Ness toward Sam, Brandon and Mick. "Move, move, move, move, move."
"Amara," Dean told her.
"Claire, I know you're still in there," Ness told her. "Amara."
"Sage, come on," Catty told her.
"Okay, guys, it's us," Dean told them. "You know us."
"Those things ready yet?" Sam asked.
"I'm ready," Mick answered.
"I'm ready," Brandon answered.
"Go, go, go," Sam told them. "They all would want this. Definitely."
"Oh, yeah," Ness agreed.
Amara lunged for Dean. Dean restrained her so that Brandon could inject her with the cure. Claire lunged for Catty. Catty restrained her so that Mick could inject her with the cure. Sage lunged for Ness. Ness restrained her so that Sam could inject her with the cure. The girls fell to their knees, growling and screaming in pain.
§
They had gotten Amara, Claire and Sage to lay on couches, who were convulsing, still shifted with blood on their faces. Dean and Ness were holding Amara down so that she didn't hurt them or herself, while Sam and Catty did the same for Sage, and Mick and Brandon did the same for Claire. Their voices alternated between Werewolf snarls and whimperings of pain. Sam, Dean, Ness and Catty were horrified of losing Amara, trying not to cry, breathing heavily, also extremely worried about Sage and Claire. Brandon looked disconcerted and worried and overwhelmed with having to see people that he knew and liked having to go through this, not knowing if they were going to die or not, turning away. Amara, Sage and Claire slowly started to go still and silent.
Ness looked at them worriedly, despondent. "Amara? Sage? Claire?"
"Come on, Amara," Catty told her. "Sage? Claire, come on."
Dean and Ness held their daughter worriedly. "Mar?"
Ness started to cry. Amara, Sage and Claire's Werewolf claws receded to their natural nails. Their canines returned to teeth. There was a long moment of silence before they woke up.
Amara looked between them. "Hey."
"You guys look like crap," Sage told them.
Everyone smiled in relief. Dean and Ness chuckled hysterically, pulling Amara into their arms, holding her tightly. Amara smiled, holding them back just as tightly. Amara also hugged Sam and Catty tightly, who held her in relief. Amara turned toward Claire and Sage, hugging them. Claire hugged back without a problem. Sage was surprised but shrugged and returned the hug with one arm. Catty also hugged Claire. Claire smiled.
Amara looked at Brandon gratefully, nodding. Brandon smiled in relief, nodding.

Day Five
Morning - Wild Elk Lodge - Outside
The group met back up with Castiel, Sabrina, Ariel and Faith the next morning as they were getting ready to leave. Dean handed the valet his ticket.
Brandon looked from Amara next to them to Claire and Sage across the parking lot. "All right. Give this to you. You three girls are walking miracles."
"Yes, they are," Sam agreed. He pointed at Sabrina, Ariel and Faith. "So are those three girls."
Sabrina, Ariel and Faith managed small smiles.
"Listen, uh, thanks for the win back there," Mick told them.
"Yeah," Castiel told them.
"So, we're good?" Mick asked.
"Not quite," Faith answered. "But we'll give you another chance. Since you saved Dad's life. And helped save Amara. And Sage. And Claire. And you're letting Sage live. Even though knowing she doesn't have a soul."
Ariel nodded. "Agreed. Just don't mess it up. There won't be another chance."
"Understood," Brandon told them.
Claire and Sage walked toward them.
"So, Amara," Castiel told her. "Sage. Claire. How you feeling?"
"Honestly?" Claire asked. "I'm sort of craving a Milk-Bone right now."
Sage smirked. "Same."
Sabrina, Ariel, Faith, and Claire laughed, while Mick, Dean, Ness, Sam, Catty and Castiel chuckled, and Sage, Amara and Brandon smirked.
"Look, um..." Claire trailed off. "You guys are here when we need you. And that's all that matters."
"Claire, Sage, you gonna tell Jody and Alex what happened?" Ariel asked.
"I don't know," Sage told them.
"Well, whatever you decide..." Sabrina trailed off.
"We got your back," Faith finished.
Claire smiled. Sage smirked, nodding.
"Come here," Ariel told them.
Sabrina, Amara, Ariel and Faith embraced Sage and Claire, and even though Sage wasn't emotionally involved, she still returned the embrace as much as Claire did. Claire also turned to hug Ness, Catty and Castiel in turn, to their surprise, but they returned the embrace with content smiles. Catty and Ness embraced Sage, while Sam and Dean patted Claire and Sage on the shoulders.
"You proved it for months, Sage," Castiel told her. "And you proved it again last night. You can still be good without your soul."
"Yeah," Sage agreed. "I'm taking a page out of that guy Len's book. Being as good as a I can be. You know, if a soulless guy completely innocent turns himself in for murders that he didn't commit... and if Sam and Dean could hunt while soulless before..."
"You can do it," Ariel finished. "We believe in you, Sage."
Sage smirked. "Getting a little too sentimental here."
They all chuckled.
Claire waved. "We'll see you guys."
§
Parking Lot
Claire was leaving a message for Jody. "Hey, Jody. It's me, Claire. Okay, um, here it goes. Sage and I've been hunting. Alone. And I know it's not what you want to hear. And I know it sounds scary to you. Not just for Sage, but for me too. It scares me, too, sometimes, but... this is something we have to do. Just for a little while. If you're worried about what Sage could do, don't be. She's proven that she can still be good. And if you're worried about me, don't be either. Because Sage's saved my life more than once already. But we're ready. And we never would've been if it wasn't for you being our mother. Well, I better go. Tell Alex she better not touch our stuff. I love you guys."
Sage walked closer with food, tossing some to Claire. "Did you call?"
"Yeah, I called," Claire answered.
"You ready to go?" Sage asked.
"Oh, yeah," Claire answered.
They got into the car. Sage was driving, putting the radio on loud.
(Song:) Real Wild Child - Joan Jett and the Blackhearts
Sage drove her and Claire down the road, leaving.

The Bunker - Library
The family, minus Octavia, had returned home with Aiden.
"And you're sure it was Angels in the parking lot where you last heard Ava was?" Sam asked, worried. "More than one? Not just the one sent to Ava by Levi?"
"That's what I don't get," Amara told them. "Why would Levi send an Angel to Aunt Ava? Knowing how much they hate her?"
"We don't think Levi sent Angels to Ava," Castiel answered.
Sabrina swallowed worriedly. "I'm not sure what happened. But there was a fight."
"Ava killed the Angels coming after her?" Dean asked.
"Yeah, and a lot of them," Ariel answered.
"There had to be more than a dozen," Faith told them. "It would take a lot for Mom to be taken."
"You said taken," Catty told them. "Not killed?"
"Ava's still alive?" Ness asked.
"Somewhere," Castiel answered. "We just don't know where."
Sam stood worriedly, pacing. Ariel and Faith were emotional.
Sam looked at them in concern and worry. "Ariel. Faith." They looked up. "We're gonna find her. We're gonna find Ava. I promise you." Ariel and Faith nodded. "Come here."
Ariel and Faith stood. Sam embraced them. They held each other close in worry and desperation to find Ava.
