chapter 15 - Somewhere Between Heaven and Hell
THEN
From 12.14 "The Raid"< in the temporary base, there were flashes of Sam, Dean, Catty, Ness, Castiel, Octavia, Sabrina, Amara, Ariel, Faith, Mary, Levi and Brandon killing the Vampires that attacked the base, including the Alpha Vampire.
Female Vampire: (voice over from 12.14 The Raid) "They're dead. They're all dead."
From 12.14 "The Raid", outside the temporary base, Mary looked at her children. "I am not trying to recruit you, but you need to know, things are changing."
From 12.14 "The Raid", in the conference room, Mick looked at Sam, Dean and Catty. "You're just in time for the briefing. I mean, that is if you wanna hear how we're gonna exterminate every last Vampire in America."
From 8.14 "Trial and Error", in the barn, Ness could see the Hellhound with Holy-Oiled glasses.
Catty: (voice over from 5.10 Abandon All Hope...) "Hellhounds."
From 3.16 "No Rest for the Ricked", in the family's house, the Hellhound was tearing Catty to shreds.
Catty: (voice over from 8.14 Trial and Error) "When you sell your soul to a Demon, they're the ones that come and rip it out of you."
From 5.20 "The Devil You Know", in the abandoned house, Ness, Sam, Dean and Catty were defending themselves against a Hellhound.
Ness looked at Crowley. "You can control them?"
Crowley patted the Hellhound beside him. "Sic him, boy!"
From 12.13 "Family Feud", in the locked room, Crowley was standing in front of the chained up Lucifer. "Getting you here..."
From 12.08 "LOTUS", in the motel room, Sabrina and Levi used the Hyperbolic Pulse Generator to burn the Hybrid Warding off of Jeff/Lucifer's vessel so that Sabrina could exorcise Lucifer out of Jeff's body, so that Rowena could cast the spell to try and send him to the Cage.
Crowley: (voice over from 12.13 Family Feud) "I managed to pervert that spell."
From 12.13 "Family Feud", in Hell, Nick's vessel was chained to the chair. Lucifer's Grace was directed to his vessel.
Crowley: (voice over from 12.13 "Family Feud) "So your essence wasn't sent back to the Cage."
Lucifer looked up, letting his eyes glow red.
Lucifer: (voice over from 12.13 Family Feud) "How do you think this is going to end?"
From 12.13 "Family Feud", in the locked room, Lucifer was chained up, looking at Crowley. "You're not even gonna see it coming when you get taken down."
"By you?" Crowley asked.
Lucifer shrugged. "And my flesh and blood."
From 12.13 "Family Feud", on the street, Kelly was being followed by the male Angel.
Lucifer: (voice over from 12.13 Family Feud) "You remember Kelly Kline?"
In the alley, Kelly was cornered by the male Angel and the Angel waitress.
Castiel: (voice over from 12.08 LOTUS) "This is not a baby. This is the spawn of Lucifer."
Dagon killed both of the Angels.
Dagon: (voice over from 12.13 Family Feud) "Kelly, the Angels? They want you dead."
From 12.13 "Family Feud", in the warehouse, Kelly was sitting down.
Dagon stood in front of her. "I've been with you for a while now, though you didn't know it, keeping you hidden from Sabrina, Ariel and Faith Winchester's radar with powerful warding. I can protect you."
"I don't even know your name," Kelly told her.
"Dagon," Dagon answered.
From 12.14 "The Raid", in the conference room, there were flashes of the Men of Letters, the Winchesters, killing Vampires, including Faith put her hand on the Alpha's head, smiting him with a bright flash of light, burning him as he died.
Amara: (voice over from 12.14 The Raid) "The Alpha Vampire is dead. You're changing the world, and my family wants to be a part of a change that can help save me and my cousins and Aiden, so that we can live in a world without threat, so that we might have a normal life. That's all they've ever wanted, so that they can save us from our doomed lives."
From 12.14 "The Raid", in the temporary base, Brandon and Amara were talking.
"We're not the bad guys, Amara," Brandon told her.
"I'm sure that you're not a bad guy, Brandon," Amara told him. "I'm not sure about the people that you work for. But if one more thing goes wrong, if any of us are hurt by this organization again, you know that we will burn it to the ground and anyone who tried to harm us or other, innocent people."
Brandon nodded. "I know. Can't say that I blame you, either."

Day One
Morning - Woods
A couple was camping in the woods. Their names were Marcus and Gwen.
"Oh, my God," Marcus told her.
"Babe, we're gonna need more wood," Gwen told him.
Marcus chuckled. "Okay, but first, check out this video. This bear goes crazy on these guys, and he j--"
"Uh, no," Gwen told him. "That's not why we come out here. We come out here to commune with nature, not watch people get eaten by it."
"Okay, first of all, he doesn't eat them," Marcus told her. "He chases them up a tree, and they cry. A lot." They watched the video on the phone, seeing the people cry, laughing. "It's hilarious." Marcus put his phone away. "And second of all, 'commune with nature'? I thought you brought me out here to get naked and do weird stuff."
"Yeah, it's not gonna get that weird," Gwen told him.
They chuckled.
Gwen sighed contentedly, resting her head on Marcus' shoulder while they sat by the campfire. "I'll miss this."
"I'll miss you," Marcus told her. "And I get it. I mean, Washington has the best veterinary program in the country. You got in. I mean, you have to go. But people make this long distance thing work all the time, right?"
Gwen hesitated, nodding. "Right, sure."
"I'm gonna get more firewood," Marcus told her.
Gwen raised her head to look at him. "Okay."
Marcus stood, walking away. Gwen watched him go, seeming to feel a lot of guilt, looking down.
Marcus walked alone through the woods, practicing a proposal for Gwen. "Will you marry me? Will you marry me?" He sighed in frustration at himself. "Just man up. She'll say yes." Back at the campsite, Gwen was putting their bags in the tent, when something fell out of the bag. She knelt down to pick up socks, feeling a box inside, pulling out the box, opening it to find the engagement ring, looking shocked and concerned, even more guilty. Further away in the woods, Marcus was gathering more firewood, hearing something in the distance, looking around. A Hellhound was watching Marcus, growling. Marcus couldn't see the Hellhound but he could hear him, dropping the firewood, standing, backing away in fear. The Hellhound lunged for Marcus. Marcus ran toward the campsite. "Gwen, run!"
"Marcus?" Gwen asked worriedly. The invisible Hellhound tore into Marcus, dragging him down, tearing him apart. Gwen could do nothing but watch in horror. "Oh, my God!"
Gwen screamed in fear, seeing the Hellhound make tracks in the mud as it stepped closer to her, all the while growling. Gwen fell against the tent, reaching for something to defend herself, grabbing an iron hatchet, hitting the invisible Hellhound with it, making it whimper and snarl in pain, standing, making a run for it as she made her escape, with Marcus' dead body laying on the ground where the Hellhound had killed him.

The Bunker - Library
Amara and Ness were in the library, sitting at the tables. Sam, Dean and Catty walked in, covered in gore from hunts.
"So, how was the job?" Amara asked. "Or should I say jobs?"
"Back to back to back," Catty told them. "That was one for the books."
"Yeah," Sam agreed.
Dean held up a baseball bat wrapped in barbed wire. "Dad loved this thing."
Dean started to put the blood covered bat on the table.
Ness took the bat away before it touched the table, standing. "Dean, not on the..." Dean started to sit down. Ness stopped him. "Dean, don't, don't, don't, don't."
"What?" Dean asked.
"Dean, you're covered in Ghoul, and--and--and Wraith," Ness answered. "You have a piece of Siren in your hair."
Dean reached up to take it out of his hair.
Amara looked as if she was trying not to get sick, looking away.
Dean chuckled. "Wow, gross."
"Yeah," Ness agreed. "Which is why you're not gonna sit down in the place where Aiden eats and plays. Got it?"
"Yeah, got it," Dean answered sheepishly.
Sam and Catty chuckled.
"What?" Amara asked.
"It's just that Dean and Ness are acting like a normal married couple for once, which is a laughable concept for us, Amara," Catty answered. "And that is saying something since Dean and Ness, Sam and Ava, and Cas and I are all married now."
"Catty's right," Sam told them. "Cas is the Angel, Catty's the huntress. I'm the hunter, Ava's the Angel. Dean's the hunter, and Ness is the dangerous housewife."
Ness used the bat that she was still holding to point at Sam. "If you make one more 'dangerous housewife' joke, I will show you what a dangerous housewife really looks like."
Dean, Amara and Catty laughed.
Amara looked from Sam and Dean to Catty. "Why don't you three go shower and change clothes?"
Ness' computer beeped. Ness sat down at the table to look at the alert on her laptop. "Got another case."
"Really?" Amara asked. "Already? How'd you do that?"
"Same as the others," Ness answered. "I made a computer algorithm that scrapes data from police scanners, emergency calls, local news sites, and then it puts everything through a h..." She looked up to see that they were all looking at her blankly. "And I lost you guys again." She gave Dean a look. "You're supposed to stop me when I do that."
Dean laughed. "You say that every time, and every time, I'll tell you the same thing. No way, 'cause it's too funny, and too hot."
Amara and Catty rolled their eyes. Sam chuckled at their reaction.
Catty looked at Ness. "Bottom line it for us, Grace Hopper."
"The computer told me," Ness told them.
Dean chuckled. "Computers. Is there anything they or Nessie can't do?" Ness smiled. Dean sighed, taking the bat from Ness. "All right, well, let's get to it, then."
"Yeah, that's fine," Sam told them.
"After you get cleaned up," Amara told them.
"I got Aiden's old baby wipes in the car," Dean told them.
"Dad," Amara told him.
Ness tilted her head at him. "Dean. Guys, seriously."
"You guys smell like roadkill," Amara told them.
"That's 'cause we do all the heavy lifting when it comes to hunting," Sam told them. "Cas, Sow, Ava, Ariel and Faith are doing the heavy lifting with Levi when it comes to tracking down Kelly Kline."
Ness gave them a look. "You--"
Catty smiled. "All right. Don't need to tell me twice." She looked at Ness, pointing at her as she backed away. "I'm using that fancy shampoo you keep hidden from us."
Sam, Dean and Catty walked out of the room to shower.
Ness and Amara exchanged a look, chuckling slightly. "Wow."
Amara looked at the bat, picking it up, swinging it around slowly and carefully, smirking in amusement as she looked at the barbed wired bat in her hands. Ness looked at her knowingly, chuckling, shaking her head.

Woods
Sam, Dean and Catty pulled up to the crime scene, getting out of the car. Catty was on the phone with Cas, while Sam was on the phone with Ava, and Dean was on the phone with Mary.
"Oh, really?" Dean asked.
"Oh, that's great, Ava," Sam told her. "Oh, no, we're--we're fine. We, uh..."
"It sounds like something, Cas," Catty told him.
"Yeah, love you, too, Mom," Dean told her.
"All right, Ava, let us know," Sam told her.
"Thanks, Cas," Catty told him.
They hung up, shutting the car doors, walking toward the crime scene.
"You first," Catty told them.
"Mom just finished working a haunting in Akron," Dean told them.
"The Brits?" Sam asked.
"Yeah," Dean answered.
"Great," Catty told them sarcastically. "Who you gonna call? Douchebusters. Brandon Davies we might make an exception for."
"Ava, Ariel and Faith are meeting up with Cas, Sabrina and Levi soon," Sam told them. "Still looking for Kelly."
"Yeah, but this time, Cas, Sow and Levi have a lead, which is why Ava, Ariel and Faith are meeting up with them," Catty told them. "Someone's killing Angels. Again."

Diner
(Song:) Ballad of a Truck Driver's Wife - Lorene Mercer
Castiel and Octavia were talking to a waitress in the same diner as 12.13 Family Feud, while Sabrina, Levi, Ariel and Faith were sitting at a nearby table, pretending to be eating while they were watching, as Cas and Ava showed fake IDs to the waitress, though Cas had his upside down.
"Hello, we'd like to speak to your manager, if we could," Castiel told her.
The manager walked closer. "Hiya, hey, I'm, uh, Herb Nelson. I run this joint." He craned his neck to see Castiel's upside down badge. "Pleasure to meet you, Agent Solange." He looked at the name on Octavia's badge. "And Agent Knowles."
Castiel and Octavia looked at Sabrina, Ariel and Faith, because they were the ones that picked the names. Sabrina, Ariel and Faith smiled smugly and innocently. Levi smirked in amusement, shaking his head.
Octavia looked at Herb. "We're here about--"
"Oh, I--I--I know why you're here," Herb told them. "Uh, follow me. Quietly."
Herb led Cas and Ava toward a door. Sabrina, Levi, Ariel and Faith exchanged a look, standing.
(Song Ends)
§
Secured Room
Herb led Castiel and Octavia into a secured room with a heavy metal door with numerous locks. Sabrina, Levi, Ariel and Faith appeared behind them, but were cloaked from Herb's view, invisible.
"Sow, thanks for teaching me and Ariel how to go invisible," Faith told her.
Sabrina smiled. "No problem."
Ariel looked around. "He's freaking me out."
Levi chuckled. "What is this?"
Herb looked around to show Castiel and Octavia the room, barring the door closed behind them. "Can't be too careful. There're always watching, listening."
They were taking in the walls covered in odd news clippings.
"They... are?" Castiel asked.
Herb nodded. "Oh, yeah, but we're safe in here." He knocked on the door. "Ow." He chuckled. "Reinforced steel. Nothing's getting through this sucker."
"Well, we did," Levi told him, knowing that he wasn't going to hear him.
Sabrina smiled, chuckling. "Mm, yeah."
Herb looked at Castiel and Octavia, who were the only ones he could see. "Ah, so, uh, you're here about Sara."
"Yes, your waitress," Octavia answered. "In this article, you said, uh, you said that she was killed by an alien."
"Well, not just aliens," Herb told them. "Reptilians. You know, like the Queen of England."
"Right," Ariel told him sarcastically. "Okay, well, that's helpful."
"This guy is crazier than our family," Faith told them. "And that's saying something. Can we go now?"
"I got proof," Herb told them, opening a drawer, rummaging around, pulling out a video tape. "You know, ah, see? Most sheeple can't handle the truth, but not me. I'm woke. It's, uh..." He fumbled with the tape, inserting it into a video player. "Why I don't use, uh, new tech. Anything past '96, it's a trap. You know, Palm Pilot. It's more like Tracking Device. Am I right?"
Sabrina rolled her eyes sarcastically. "Right."
"Now watch this," Herb told them. The monitor only showed snow until he hit it. "Now, here we go." In the video, Dagon was confronting and killing the two Angels, who had been trying to kill Kelly. "Okay, now, I--I don't know who she is. Probably another alien. She's preggers, so my money's on brood queen. Now, I don't know who he is either. There. That's Sara. Look, look, look, see? Silver knives. That's, uh, star metal. Yeah, the--the camera got fried, but you--you saw it, yeah?" Herb rewound the tape, pausing it right when Dagon's eyes turned yellow. "Right there. She has..."
"Yellow eyes," Castiel finished.
"Prince of Hell," Levi told them.
"Like I said, reptilian," Herb told them. "Now, the local cops, they think there's something--they don't believe me. They think there's something weird with the camera. But, I mean, that's why you're here." Octavia ejected the tape and put it in her pocket, nodding for Castiel, and out of Herb's view, Sabrina, Levi, Ariel and Faith to leave with her. "The--the FBI Men in Black? Well, you know, man and woman."
Octavia, Sabrina, Ariel and Faith all rolled their eyes, which caused Castiel and Levi to smirk in amusement.
§
Woods
Sam, Dean and Catty, posing as FBI, were led to the crime scene by the Sheriff.
"You ask me, a bear got him," Sheriff told them. "Maybe a cougar. Found a fair amount of blood over here and some there, but no body. Figure whatever did this dragged him off. So unless you guys are looking to make a federal case on some critters..."
"Sir, you said there was a survivor," Sam told him.
"Yeah, Gwen Hernandez," Sheriff answered. "Uh, but she's pretty shaken up, saying all sorts of strange things."
"Like what?" Catty asked.
"Like that they were attacked by a wolf, an invisible wolf," Sheriff answered, chuckling. "Girl says that, you know, it came outta nowhere and that it's coming after her next."
Dean sighed. "Right. Sheriff, thank you." Sam, Dean and Catty walked away from the scene to talk alone. "Invisible dog, huh? Sounds like a Hellhound to me."
Sam and Catty nodded in agreement, walking away. "Yeah."
Dean followed them.
§
Gwen's House - Living Room
Gwen was laying devastated on her couch, flashing back to when she had to watch Marcus keep torn alive, hearing Marcus tell her to run, and Gwen calling his name.
The Hellhound seemed to be outside, watching.
§
Outside
Sam, Dean and Catty pulled up in the Impala, getting out.
Dean sighed. "This is dumb. It's a dumb idea."
"Listen, Gwen saw something kill her boyfriend, and she thinks it's coming for her next," Sam told them. "We just gotta tell her--"
"Tell her what?" Catty asked. "No, seriously, Sam, what are you gonna say? 'Hi, my name is Sam Winchester. These are my much more awesome siblings Dean and Catty'." Dean smiled at the way she said that they were awesome. Sam wasn't surprised, sighing, just waiting for her to finish. "'We hunt monsters. Oh, and your boyfriend? We're pretty sure he made a deal with a Demon, so a Hellhound came and dragged his soul to Hell. But you? You're cool. And since there's nothing around for us to kill, peace out'."
"You done?" Sam asked. "Yeah, we don't say that, Catty. We say something that'll give her peace. You know, help her sleep at night."
"She watched her boyfriend get torn to shreds in front of her," Catty told them. "There's nothing that's gonna bring her peace or help her sleep at night."
Sam and Dean looked at Catty knowingly, because she had gone through that on more than one occasion, but Catty wasn't trying to make this personal, just trying to prove her point about how nothing was going to bring Gwen peace, brushing them off.
"Oh, so you wanna lie, Sammy?" Dean asked.
Sam sighed, ringing the doorbell. "Yeah, a lot."
Gwen hesitantly came to the door, opening it.
"Gwen Hernandez?" Dean asked. "Uh, Agents Baker, Clapton and Bruce. May we come in?"
Gwen shook her head. "I--I don't want any..."
"We just wanna talk," Sam told her. "That's all. About Marcus."
Gwen sighed, hesitantly unlocking the door and letting them in, unknowing that she was also letting in the invisible Hellhound in as well.
§
Inside - Living Room
Gwen closed the door, walking toward the siblings. "Uh, you can have a seat."
"Right," Catty told her. "Thanks."
They all sat down.
"Gwen, uh, we're here today because we, uh, we know what you told the police, that you feel like something... supernatural is after you," Sam told her. "But we've concluded our investigation, and the thing that killed your boyfriend--"
"Was a bear," Dean told her.
Sam nodded. "Was a bear." Catty rolled her eyes, because she didn't like lying to the girl who had just lost her boyfriend. "Now, we found it and put it down. So you're no longer in any kind of danger, okay?"
Gwen looked between them, offended, confused. "I don't... I--I know what I saw."
From the Hellhound's POV, we could see it stalking patiently around the room unseen.
"Gwen, when you go through a traumatic experience, sometimes your mind can make things up," Sam told her.
"Get out," Gwen told them.
"Sorry?" Catty asked.
"Get out of my house," Gwen told them.
"Okay, calm down," Dean told her. "We're just trying to help."
"I don't need your help," Gwen told them. "I know what I saw."
Catty looked like she was about to tell her the truth. "Gwen--"
Dean gave her a look. "Catty."
Gwen stood, getting angry. "Get out!"
"Okay," Catty told her.
They stood to leave, but the Hellhound stayed inside.
§
Outside
Sam, Dean and Catty walked outside, toward the car.
Catty looked at Sam sarcastically. "Oh, yeah, she's gonna sleep like a baby."
§
Inside - Living Room
Gwen watched through the window as Sam, Dean and Catty got into their car. The Hellhound was watching her, growling.
§
Gwen thought that she was alone for a moment or so before invisible claws gouged the floor, knowing that the Hellhound was there, screaming. The Hellhound barked, snarling at her, chasing her from the room.
§
Bedroom
Gwen tried to barricade herself in the bedroom, but the Hellhound barged in, tackling Gwen down, pinning her to the floor, clawing beside her head as she screamed. Sam, Dean and Catty heard her screams, running inside with shotguns, shooting at the invisible Hellhound. Catty hit it, making it yelp in pain. The Hellhound jumped through the window to leave.
Catty knelt next to Gwen. "Hey, hey. It's okay. You're gonna be okay. All right?"
§
Crowley's Asylum - Locked Room
Crowley was fiddling with a key while he was taunting a still chained up Lucifer. "It must really burn you, knowing I'm the one who put you in this prison. Me. I own you, and I have big plans for us."
Lucifer inhaled mockingly. "Ooh, I'm flattered. All this hard work, all that... grr! You get 'em, slugger!" He leaned forward seriously. "I'm still gonna peel off your skin and eat your soul."
"Is that so?" Crowley asked.
Lucifer nodded. "Yeah. I mean, it will be a little bit messy, but you know, gotta protect the rep. You understand."
"I do," Crowley agreed. "But you, in--in those chains? I mean, forgive me if I'm not quaking in my Testonis."
"Oh, I think both you and I understand that this?" Lucifer asked, rattling his chains to prove his point. "It's just a temporary situation."
"Oh, do we?" Crowley asked. "See, I understand that whatever sad little scheme that you're brewing up, I'm already 10 steps ahead."
Lucifer scoffed. "And I thought pride was my sin."
"It's not pride," Crowley told him. "It's fact. You cross me, I crush you. You hit me, I hit you back twice as hard. You make me your dog, I make you my slave."
Crowley chuckled.
A Demon knocked on the door, calling through it. "Hello? Crowley, my lord?"
Lucifer imitated Crowley's accent to mock him. "My lord. Duty calls." Crowley grumbled, turning to leave. Lucifer cupped his mouth with his chained hands to mock him. "Don't worry about me. I'll just sit right here."
Crowley picked up a metal device, holding it up for Lucifer to see. "Yes, you will."
Lucifer smirked. "Hmm, kinky."
§
Throne Room
Crowley walked into the room to join two Demons, locking the room where he was keeping Lucifer prisoner with the key that he had been fiddling with, walking toward his throne to sit down. "What?"
"Apologies, your excellence," Demon 1, Tommy, told him "It's just, um, you're already an hour late for the weekly meeting. And we had to push last week, so..."
"You have 410 Crossroad Deals that need senior management approval, on top of the 638 other matters that require your immediate response," Demon 2 added.
Crowley seemed bored out of his mind, sighing. "Fine."
§
Gwen's House - Living Room
Sam, Dean and Catty were explaining to Gwen.
"Gwen, that, um, that thing was a Hellhound," Catty explained.
"A what?" Gwen asked.
"Hellhound," Dean answered. "Kind of hard to explain. Uh, basically giant, invisible hounds from Hell. Huh. Wasn't hard at all."
Dean chuckled.
"So you guys are not cops, are you?" Gwen asked.
"No, not exactly," Sam answered. "My name is Sam. That's my brother Dean and my sister Catty. And we hunt monsters."
"And we've tangled with Hellhounds in the past," Dean added. "Goofer dust will keep them out. Catty's daughter Sabrina or Catty's husband Cas, or Sam's wife Ava, or Sam's daughters Ariel and Faith, or Sabrina's boyfriend Levi, they can kill him."
"It helps that Sabrina can actually see these things," Catty explained.
"Uh, wait, so why did you tell me that Marcus got killed by a bear?" Gwen asked.
Catty pointed at Sam. "It was his idea to try to make you feel better. Even though I told him it wasn't gonna work."
Sam and Dean gave Catty a look, sighing.
Sam looked at Gwen. "Look, I know this sounds insane--"
"It does," Gwen agreed. "But, like I said, I know what I saw. And what I saw was insane."
"Right," Dean agreed. "Now this is awkward, but, um, Hellhounds only come after people who sold their souls to a Demon."
"So about ten years ago, did you really want something?" Catty asked. "Like, I don't know, a Hello Kitty backpack or the death of an enemy?"
"No," Gwen answered.
"What about Marcus?" Sam asked. "Did he... would he--"
"No," Gwen answered.
Dean pulled out his phone to call Ness. "Great. So what the hell?" He made the call. "Hey, Ness, maybe you can call Crowley and ask why a Hellhound is going after people who didn't sell their souls?"
Ness was in the Bunker's library with Amara, sighing. "Why is it always me that has to call Crowley?"
"Maybe because he's been obsessed with you for years," Dean answered.
"He's been obsessed with Aunt Catty and Sabrina for a long time, too," Amara replied.
"Right, yeah, you're right, Amara, but they are both who would rather die than call him for help," Dean pointed out. "So, Ness, please."
"Do you want me to call Sow, Ariel and Faith?" Amara asked. "Sow can see the Hellhounds."
"That'll be a lot easier so one of us doesn't get ripped into pieces by a Hellhound again, yeah," Dean answered. "Thanks, Amara."
Amara nodded. "You got it."
§
Crowley's Asylum - Throne Room
Crowley was sitting in his throne, utterly bored as his Demons conducted the weekly meeting.
"And moving on to, um, case 41, Awar, a Rank Three Demon, claims to have had six babies, but then Morax, a Rank Two Demon, took two of his babies, which would leave Awar with..." Demon 2 trailed off. Crowley held up four fingers. "Um, yes, four babies."
"Which I think we can all agree isn't enough babies," Tommy told them, laughing. "For a decent meal."
"No, not at all," Demon 2 told them. "Um, Awar is looking for compensation in the form of--"
"I don't care," Crowley told them. "Moving on."
Demon 2 cleared his throat. "Oh, me neither. Moving on to case 42."
"This is a good one," Tommy told him. "It's on tort reform."
Demon 2 nodded. "Yeah."
Crowley's phone rang. He held up a finger to halt the meeting, looking at the Caller ID to see 'Vanessa' calling, answering, standing, walking past the Demons. "What the hell do you want?"
Ness was still in the library, this time with Amara, Ariel, Faith, Castiel and Octavia while they were waiting. "All right, Peaches, I get that you're still upset about the whole, uh..."
"Upset?" Crowley asked sarcastically. "No, I'm totally over how you and your little band of misfits sent my son back in time... to die!"
"Okay, look, that was totally Gavin's call," Ness told him. "All right? You know what? We have a situation here."
"Oh, well, in that case... bye," Crowley told her.
"Hellhounds, Crowley," Octavia told him. "One of your hounds is going after folks who didn't sell their souls."
"Not possible," Crowley told them.
"You sure about that?" Castiel asked.
Crowley looked at his Demons. "My hounds... you have anything to tell me?"
Ness, Amara, Sabrina, Ariel, Faith, Castiel and Octavia could hear the Demons talking to Crowley.
"Well, we, uh... didn't wanna bother you," Tommy told him. "It was Ramsey. She got out, my lord."
"Have the kennel guards killed," Crowley told them. Faith pointed to the phone, rolling her eyes, making a talking gesture with her hand to say that she was tired of him not shutting up, which caused Sabrina, Ariel and Amara to smile in agreement. Ness, Castiel and Octavia smirked in amusement. "Painfully. I'll be right..."
§
The Bunker - Library
Crowley appeared in the library with the others, still on the phone. "Here." Crowley and Ness hung up their phones. Crowley smirked. "You miss me?"
§
Crowley's Asylum - Locked Room
Lucifer was bound in chains, wearing a metal gag. The door rattled and clanked open, revealing Crowley's Demon minions from earlier.
Demon 2 laughed. "I knew it."
Lucifer waved. "Hi, guys."
§
Tommy knelt before Lucifer. "My lord. I'm not worthy."
Lucifer spoke indistinctly because of his gag.
"We knew Crowley was up to something," Demon 2 told him. Lucifer nodded, humming. "The way he's been acting? And how he snuffed out everyone who was part of the Cage project?"
Lucifer was muttering through the gag.
"And a lot of us really don't like Crowley," Tommy told him. "He's very prancy."
Lucifer hummed in agreement.
"So we released your hound to create a distraction, to see what he was hiding," Demon 2 explained. "We--"
"We hoped, we knew it could only be you," Tommy told him.
Demon 2 held up a key. "And we brought this." There was a brief flashback to where Demon 2 had snaked the key out of Crowley's pocket while he had been on the phone with Ness and the others. Now, Lucifer mumbled indistinctly, holding out his shackled hands. "But--but..." Lucifer growled. "Before we, uh, let you out, we have a few, well, I wouldn't call them demands, exactly. But..."
Lucifer smirked sarcastically through the gag. "Mm."

The Bunker - Library
Crowley was pacing in front of Ness, Amara, Sabrina, Castiel, Octavia, Ariel and Faith. "I can only assume that Sam, Dean and Catty are on the job and all but Ness and Amara are heading over there to help after we get done discussing this because they need to stay with little Aiden. But where's your little pet Angel Levi?"
"Levi's not a pet," Sabrina told him in annoyance. "He's..."
Sabrina looked away, sighing.
Ariel looked at Sabrina. "Uh-huh. No, go on, keep on with what you were saying. We all already know the truth, Sow. Levi is..." She looked at Faith sarcastically. "What's the word again?" She looked at Sabrina. "I think the word starts with a 'boy' and ends with an 'end'."
"Shut up, Ariel," Sabrina told her.
Amara, Ariel and Faith smiled. Ness, Castiel and Octavia smirked in amusement.
"Levi's looking for other ways to search for Lucifer's children," Castiel answered.
"Just tell us what you know," Faith told him.
"You have to understand," Crowley told them. "This isn't just a Hellhound. This is the Hellhound."
Faith shook her head sarcastically. "And that means what?"
"You mean the first one?" Octavia asked. Crowley nodded. Octavia sighed, looking at Sabrina, Amara, Ariel and Faith to explain. "Right after God said, 'Let there be light', He made a whole bunch of things. Posies, koalas, Hellhounds. He wanted the Creator's best friend, but the hounds were too vicious. He planned on having them all put down, until along came our least favorite fallen Angel. He rescued one of the hounds, a pregnant bitch."
"Which would be later named Ramsey," Crowley told them.
"Why don't you just go to Sam, Dean and Catty, find Ramsey, and tell her to heel?" Ness asked.
"I can't control her," Crowley answered. "No one can. She's loyal only to Lucifer."
Ariel rolled her eyes, nodding sarcastically. "Who is locked in the Cage. Great."
"All right, so where is Fido now?" Faith asked.
"Well, if I had to hazard a guess, I would say huddled up in some nice, warm den," Crowley told them.
"Well, why is she after Gwen, the girl that Uncle Sam, Aunt Catty and my dad are protecting?" Amara asked.
"Well, Sam, Dean and Catty said that Gwen hit Ramsey with an ax when she attacked her and her boyfriend," Castiel explained.
"Let me guess," Octavia told them. "The bitch tends to hold a grudge."
"Yes," Crowley answered. "So, either you kill Ramsey, or the hound eats the girl of the week. Fun."
"You want us to kill her?" Octavia asked. "Don't you want every Hellhound you can get your hands on?"
Crowley shrugged. "Pup like that out and about is not good for business. Makes it look like I'm not in control."
"Well, are you?" Sabrina asked sarcastically, tauntingly.
Crowley narrowed his eyes. Amara, Ariel and Faith smiled. Ness, Castiel and Octavia looked at them in amusement.
"But that mutt's head mounted on my wall?" Crowley asked. "Good for the brand. So, yes, I would like you to kill her for me. Well, more over, Sam, Dean, Catty, Cas, Ava, Sabrina, Ariel and Faith would be doing the killing, while Ness and Amara are here with little Aiden. Don't you ever get tired of being here, girls?"
"I know that we all get tired of your voice," Faith answered.
Sabrina, Amara and Ariel smirked. Octavia chuckled.
"So we have a Hellhound who's gunning for revenge, and it's personal," Ness told them. "Ah, just when I thought this gig couldn't get any weirder..."
Crowley chuckled. "Oh, it can always get weirder. So sorry that Ness and Amara can't join in on the fun."
"Shut up," Amara told him in annoyance.
Crowley mimicked her. "Shut up."
"I mean it, Crowley," Amara told him.
Crowley mimicked her. "I mean it, Crowley."
"Go to Hell," Amara told him.
Crowley mimicked her. "Go to Hell. Really, Amara, as a teenage girl that was forced to grow up too fast, you're so predictable. Same as Ariel and Faith, Sabrina even."
"Yeah, well, I guess we've all changed," Ness told him. "Sabrina, Ariel and Faith grow into some of the most powerful creatures in this world, and Amara's getting over PTSD of what happened with the Brits and the Darkness, and you got soft."
"Yeah, I mean, a few years ago, who'd have thought, you backing us about killing a Hellhound and saving the girl of the week?" Ariel asked.
"I don't care about her," Crowley told them.
"Yeah, well, maybe our family rubbed off on you," Faith told him.
"Don't flatter yourselves," Crowley told them.
"You saved Cas and Levi," Octavia told him.
"Just to spare myself the Winchester emotional pain," Crowley told them. "You lot moping about like a bunch of schoolgirls. While Sabrina, Amara, Ariel and Faith are the age of schoolgirls, what's the excuse for the rest of you?"
Castiel rolled his eyes. "Well, I just wanna say thank you."
"Or a few years ago, who would've thought you'd be working with the King of Hell, after all that I did to your family?" Crowley asked. "Maybe you've rubbed off on me. Maybe I've rubbed off all over you."
Crowley chuckled.
"Ew," Ariel told him. The girls rolled their eyes, sighing. Crowley smirked, disappearing. Ariel looked at the others. "I hate him."
Amara chuckled. "Everybody hates him."
They heard Crowley's voice. "Heard that."
They looked around, but Crowley was gone.
Castiel sighed. "Sabrina, you go. Sam, Dean and Catty only need you for this."
"Are you sure?" Sabrina asked.
"Yeah," Castiel answered. "You're the only one out of us who can see the Hellhounds. The rest of us can't, Sow. And you've killed two Hellhounds before. You can handle this one with ease. I believe that."
Sabrina smiled, walking closer to hug Cas. "Thanks, Dad."
Castiel smiled, returning the embrace for a moment. Sabrina disappeared, leaving. The others looked at each other, smiling.
Castiel chuckled. "Sow can handle this on her own."

Roadside
Sam, Dean and Catty were standing with Gwen.
"So, Hellhounds are invisible to Humans, unless you sold your soul, and they're after you," Sam explained.
Sabrina appeared behind Catty. "But creatures such as me or a lot less complex than me, can see them."
"Gwen, this is Catty's daughter, Sabrina," Dean told her. "She'll protect you, and us, and mostly likely kill the Hellhound before it even has the chance to touch us."
Catty smiled. "Yeah. Sow's pretty badass that way."
Sabrina smiled.
"How can you see them?" Gwen asked. "What are you?"
Sabrina shook her head expressively. "Oh, I am not getting into that today."
Dean pointed at Sabrina. "I'll tell you one thing. You keep that mutt from touching us and my car."
"Uncle Dean, you know that I wouldn't let anyone hurt your freaking car," Sabrina told him. "You're as protective over that car as you are over Aunt Ness, Amara and Aiden."
"Damn right," Dean agreed. "I'm just saying, Sow. Okay, just imagine she's a--a beautiful woman."
"Oh, come on," Catty told him. "Get out of here."
"A beautiful, beautiful woman," Dean told them.
Sam rolled his eyes. "I'm done."
"Sam..." Dean trailed off.
Sabrina gave Dean a look. "In the words of Ariel earlier to Crowley: Ew."
Catty smiled in amusement.

Crowley's Asylum - Locked Room
Lucifer, still chained and gagged and having to listen to demands from Demon 2, was groaning and rolling his eyes in annoyance.
"Oh, and lastly, you will grant me a thousand souls per year, and will anoint me the new King of the Crossroads," Demon 2 told him. Lucifer muttered indistinctly. "Great."
"Uh-uh," Tommy told him skeptically.
"Hey, Tommy, you want anything, man?" Demon 2 asked.
"The only thing I care about is making Hell great again," Tommy told them.
Lucifer pointed at Tommy, grinning through his gag. "See?"
Demon 2 frowned. "What?" Lucifer muttered some more. Demon 2 held up the key. "All right, let's do this." He unshackled Lucifer. "There we go, my lord."
Lucifer groaned, stretching. "Oh, yeah. I feel so good."
Lucifer grabbed Demon 2 by the throat.
Demon 2 choked. "We had a deal!"
"Did we?" Lucifer asked, snapping his fingers, using his power to make Demon 2 explode in a cloud of dust, turning to Tommy. "Sorry, kid. You understand, right? No witnesses or anything, yeah?"
Tommy nodded. "Yes, take me, oh fallen one. My life is yours to devour."
Lucifer rolled his eyes. "See, now you just made it weird."
Lucifer snapped his fingers, using his power to kill Tommy in another explosion of dust.

Night - Woods
Catty and Gwen were sitting inside the Impala, while Sam, Dean and Sabrina were standing outside, waiting for Ramsey to show up.
"I'm sorry," Gwen told her.
"For what?" Catty asked.
"This," Gwen answered, sniffling. "It's all my fault."
"Gwen, this is not your fault," Catty told her.
"Yes, it is," Gwen told her. "What happened to Marcus..."
Gwen couldn't finish.
"You okay?" Catty asked.
Gwen sighed. "I don't think I even know what 'okay' means anymore. Marcus... going camping was my idea. I took him out there even though I knew. I knew it was over. I liked Marcus. He was sweet and kind. And he loved me. More than I ever loved him. More than... and then I had to watch him die. If I'd just told him, if I... Why couldn't I just tell him the truth?"
Catty was more effected by this than she wanted to be. "Gwen..."
"Yeah, but I didn't," Gwen told her. "I lied. I lied to make things easier."
"I know," Catty told her. "I... I lost someone like that. He loved me more than I ever loved him. He died. And I can't ever make that right."
"What was his name?" Gwen asked.
"Brett," Catty answered. "Brett Blake. But that was six years ago, Gwen. Six years. I've had time to move on. And I've had time to realize that Brett's death... it wasn't totally on me. Same thing with Brett's sister, Sarah. It's hard to explain. But I know the different between the two. What happened to Marcus was not your fault. What happened to Brett and Sarah was my fault. But if I can tell you anything, don't let this torture you forever. You have to find a way to move on from Marcus, like I had to from Brett and his sister. Just so that you can live on. I know it sounds like a lie right now, but it does get easier. Especially when you realize that you're not to blame for Marcus. Like I had to for Brett."
Gwen nodded. "How do you forgive yourself for something like this? Even if you know that you're not the one to blame?"
Catty took a moment to respond, sighing heavily. "I'm still trying to find the answer to that."
Gwen had expected an answer like that, nodding knowingly, taking a deep breath, sighing.

Outside
Dean was humming. "A hunting we will go, a hunting we will go."
"Dean, shut up, seriously," Sam told him. Sabrina sensed something, looking around. "Sow?"
"Ramsey's coming," Sabrina answered. "Get back." Sam and Dean backed away quickly. Sabrina looked around, seeing Ramsey make her way onto the roadside next to the woods. "She's here."
Ramsey ran closer, jumping toward them. Sabrina used her power to dangle Ramsey in the air to make her stop before she could harm anyone, or touch the car, throwing Ramsey to the ground.
Inside the car, Gwen was hyperventilating.
Catty was trying to calm her down. "It's okay, it's okay. Stay calm. Sow's got this. I promise."
Hearing Ramsey bark and growl as it fought with Sabrina, Gwen started to cry. "Oh, my God."
Sabrina used her power to pin Ramsey to the ground, pacing around it. "All right, Hell Puppy. Come and get it."
Ramsey jumped through the air toward Sabrina. Sabrina held her hands toward Ramsey, pausing her in the air, making her visibly explode into black smoke and dust with complete ease, to the shock of Gwen, and the proud and impressed reactions from Catty, Sam and Dean. Sabrina turned to face them, smiling.
§
Catty and Gwen got out of the Impala, walking toward Sam, Dean and Sabrina.
Dean was impressed. "Damn, Sow. You killed a Hellhound the easiest you've ever killed a Hellhound, you made sure no one got hurt, including--"
"Your car, yes, I know," Sabrina finished. "You're welcome, Uncle Dean."
They smirked.
"So, it's over?" Gwen asked.
"It's over," Catty answered.
Gwen hugged Catty for the things she said to help her, hugging Sabrina for saving her life. "Thank you." Catty and Sabrina were a little surprised, but returned the hug. They pulled away. "You guys seem nice."
Sam chuckled. "Yeah. We'll take you home, and then we should be on our own way home."
§
Crowley's Asylum - Locked Room
Crowley appeared in the locked room to see that Lucifer's chains were on the ground.
§
Throne Room
Crowley walked in to see Lucifer sitting on his throne.
"Now what was that you were saying about always being two steps ahead?" Lucifer asked, standing up, punching Crowley in the face, sending him flying across the room. He started to glow with white light, making shadows of his wings appear on the wall behind him. "Buh-bye, Crowley."
"That's not what I said," Crowley told him, snapping his fingers.
Lucifer's light went on, and his wings disappeared. He frowned in confusion, reaching to his back. "Huh? What the--"
Crowley stood. "I'm glad you had a little taste of freedom. What I said was, I'm always 10 steps ahead. I said you cross me, I crush you. You hit me..." He snapped his fingers, making Lucifer convulse in pain. "I hit you back twice as hard." He snapped his fingers, causing Lucifer more pain. "You make me your dog, I'll make you my slave." He snapped again, making Lucifer fall to his knees in pain, groaning and breathing heavily. Crowley walked around him to sit down in his throne. "That chain around your neck? Was nothing. A stylish accessory. This vessel... that's your true prison. It's been warded with runes and spellwork from the Cage, carved into every molecule. In there? I own you. I'm just getting started. So, I'm gonna put you back in your hole, and then I'm gonna go find your spawns, and I'm gonna rip them apart while you watch. And then?" He stood, walking closer. "I'm still just getting started."
Crowley punched Lucifer in the face.
§
The Bunker - Catty's Room
Catty was sitting down, drinking bourbon.
Castiel stepped into the doorway, seeing that she looked distant and thoughtful. "Catty?" Catty looked up. "Are you okay?"
Catty nodded. "Yeah. Yeah, I'm good, Cas."
Castiel sighed. "Catty."
"Yeah, I know you hate it when I lie to that question, but it's the only way that I can usually get out of talking about what's bothering me," Catty told him.
Castiel nodded, walking closer. "I know. But you know that I can talk to me."
"I know," Catty told him. "It's just something that I've dealt with a long time ago that kinda got drugged up again after helping Gwen. Talking her through the loss of a boyfriend that she knew loved her more than she ever loved him, and she blamed herself for his death, having to watch it in front of her without being able to stop it." Castiel realized why she was bothered now, nodding. "Like with me and Brett. That's kinda why I didn't wanna talk about it, Cas." Catty forced a tone of sarcasm. "Awkward."
Catty took a drink.
"It opened old wounds?" Castiel asked.
"More like irritated them," Catty answered. "I'm not beating myself up over Brett and Sarah for a change. I just... It doesn't hurt as much anymore, but... it didn't hurt like the way it did back then. It still smarts a little, but it's something that doesn't have control anymore." She finished her drink, sighing. "Anyway, thank you, Cas."
"For what?" Castiel asked.
"For getting me to talk about it," Catty answered. "For not minding if I still get bothered by things like that, because every other husband out there wouldn't want to talk about things like this, but you being there for me like this in ways that I can't even..." She sighed heavily. "For being understanding in a nearly impossibly un-understandable situation."
"Everything in our lives is impossibly un-understandable, Catty," Castiel told her.
Catty chuckled. "Yeah. I guess what I'm trying to say is... thank you for being you, Cas."
Castiel smiled a little reassuringly, nodding. Catty leaned her head on his shoulder as he held an arm around her.
§
War Room
Sabrina was standing on the balcony of the war room alone, thinking.
Levi walked toward her. "Sabrina, hey."
Sabrina smiled. "Levi, what's up?"
"After you brought Ariel, Faith, Ava and Cas home, after you went to help Sam, Dean and Catty with the Hellhound, I was found by Angels," Levi explained.
Sabrina looked at him in surprise, worry. "What? The last time that they found you alone--"
"They nearly killed me," Levi finished. "But trust me, they didn't want to kill me this time. That's why I didn't pray for help. They just wanted to talk."
"About?" Sabrina asked.
"About Kelly Kline," Levi answered. "We already know that she's with Dagon, Prince of Hell, and that Dagon protected Kelly from Angels that tried to kill her, right?"
"Yeah," Sabrina answered. "So?"
"So, the Angels were able to find Kelly because they have a shortening amount of army members," Levi answered. "They couldn't track Kelly through the warding that Dagon put on her, but they had more Angels looking for Kelly than they've used Angels for anything in quite a while."
"Yeah, well, that's great, Levi," Sabrina told him sarcastically. "Demons and Angels have armies backing them up searching the globe for Kelly and Dagon, and all we have is my family, you and me."
"Right," Levi agreed. "That's why the Angels came to me."
Sabrina looked at him curiously. "They want you to help them?"
"They said that they want to help us," Levi answered. "I'm not sure what I believe. But I knew that I was going to tell you, all of you."
"Why?" Sabrina asked.
"Because they want me to go to Heaven, to talk to Joshua, a big Angel leader up there," Levi answered.
Sabrina was worried. "Levi..."
"I know you're worried about what could happen to me while I"m up there, Sabrina," Levi told her. "But if we have the Angels' help, maybe we can find Kelly faster than we think."
"Yeah, but they want to kill Kelly," Sabrina told him. "And me and my family, and you said that we don't want to kill her."
"I'm not talking about killing her," Levi told her. "I'm just talking about using the Angels to find Kelly. And once I do that, once I know where she is, I'll get away from the Angels, and I'll come here to tell all of you. I promise."
"What if they find out you're playing them?" Sabrina asked.
"They won't," Levi told her. "But if they do, I know you'll be there help me. You always are."
Sabrina managed a small smile. "You've helped me a lot more than I've helped you, Levi. But I get your point."
"Considering that you've saved my life more than I've saved yours, I think we're even," Levi replied.
"Yeah, but there's only two creatures that can kill me, and that's God and the Darkness, so there was really no reason for you to try and save my life," Sabrina pointed out, tilting her head. Levi chuckled. Sabrina looked at him seriously. "Levi, just promise me you'll be okay. That you'll call me if you need anything. And you come back unharmed, or I'm gonna unleash Hell on anyone that hurts you."
Levi smiled, nodding. "I'll be fine, Sabrina. If I need any help, I'll call you, Ava, Cas. Ariel and Faith. I know that you'll be there instantly."
Sabrina nodded. "I don't trust them. At all."
"I know," Levi told her. "I don't either. Not anymore. But we work with people that we don't trust all the time."
Sabrina scoffed softly in agreement. "Right." She remembered something, pulling out a mixtape. "I was planning on giving this to you earlier, but since you're about to leave for who knows how long... keep it with you." She gave Levi a teasing, sarcastic look. "I know it can get boring in Heaven, and they do have music players up in Heaven, right?"
Levi smiled a little in amusement to the sarcasm, nodding. "I'll manage."
"I figured that you didn't know much about music, so I figured why not?" Sabrina asked. "It's fun to help you adapt."
Levi smirked, taking the tape. "All right. I'll be back sooner than you think."
Sabrina nodded. "I know." Levi smiled a small smile, turning to leave. Sabrina hesitated, catching his arm. Levi turned back. Sabrina kissed him for a long, passionate moment. Levi returned in kind, placing a hand on her cheek. After a moment, they pulled away. "Don't know the next time I'm gonna see you, but... until then."
Levi nodded. "Until then."
Sabrina and Levi smiled small smiles. Levi left the Bunker. Sabrina was still worried but understood that he needed to do this.
§
Library
Sabrina walked into the library to join her family.
"You know when Levi's gonna be back?" Ariel asked.
"Eavesdropping?" Sabrina asked skeptically. "Really, Ariel?"
They chuckled.
Amara smirked teasingly. "Aw. Sow gave Levi a mix tape. So sweet."
"Shut it, Amara," Sabrina told her.
They all smiled, though they could tell that Sabrina was still worried.
"Levi's going to be fine, Sabrina," Castiel told her.
Sabrina nodded. "I know."
"Cas and Ava were just telling us about what you, Ariel, Faith and Levi found out about Dagon," Ness explained.
"Yeah," Octavia agreed. "Dagon, Prince of Hell."
"More like Princess of Hell, since she's a girl, but whatever," Faith told them.
"All right, what do we know about her?" Sam asked.
"Not much," Octavia answered. "It's just rumors and stories. Dagon is mostly known for her psychotic savagery."
"Great," Amara told them sarcastically. "So where's Kelly?"
"Well, she was in Couer d'Alene, Idaho," Castiel answered. "Now we're not sure."
"All right, well, we'll spread the word," Catty told them. "If Levi finds anything with the Angels, he'll give us a heads up."
"Sow, Levi can definitely handle himself against the Angels," Castiel told her. "He's proven that before."
Ness' computer beeped.
Faith frowned in confusion. "Aunt Ness, is your computer talking to you?"
They chuckled.
"Uh, no," Ness answered. "Um, it's, uh... Mick Davies."
"Isn't that..." Ariel trailed off.
"Brandon Davies' dad?" Amara finished. "Yeah."
"Have you guys been in contact with Mick and Brandon ever since the base, while we were helping Levi?" Octavia asked.
"Not as much as Mick and Brandon would like us to be," Catty answered.
"But they do still want us to work with them," Dean told them.
"Brandon's sent us a job here and there, and Uncle Sam, Aunt Catty and Dad have taken care of it, but..." Amara trailed off. "We've still been going off on our own."
Octavia nodded. "Right."
"Ava..." Sam trailed off. "We were going to tell you sooner, but you all were gone, helping Levi look for Kelly. And I know how much you hate them after..."
"No, I thought all of us hated them, for what happened to Mom, Aunt Ness and Amara?" Ariel asked. "Me, Faith and Aiden when Faith and I were still babies?"
"Yeah, we do, Ariel," Dean answered. "But... because of Mick, Brandon and their guys, Vampires are nearly extinct in the states. They get results."
"We don't like them either," Ness told them. "But--but if we can save people..." She looked at the girls specifically, holding Aiden in her arms. "If we can get the chance to give you kids a normal life, so that you're not pawns in yet another creature's game, so Aiden doesn't have to become a hunter when he grows up..."
"You still want to protect us," Faith told them.
"Yeah," Sam answered. "Yeah, we do, Faith. We want to save you."
Castiel sighed. "Well, okay."
"Okay?" Catty repeated.
"What do you want us to say?" Castiel asked. "Do we like it? No."
"Do we trust them?" Octavia asked. "Hell, no. But you're right. We've been working with Levi to try to find Kelly, and you were hunting. There was barely enough time to catch a breath, let alone tell us about this."
"And like Levi said, we work with people we don't trust all the time," Sabrina told them.
Amara nodded in agreement. "I mean, hell, we've even worked with Crowley, after he got Aunt Ava killed one time, after what he did to Aunt Catty, Uncle Cas, Sow."
Ariel sighed. "You worked with Lucifer to defeat the Darkness."
"Yeah," Faith agreed. "So if you want to give this a shot, then, fine, I guess."
"If you truly think that it's what is going to give our children the freedom to decide the lives that they want to live..." Castiel trailed off, sighing, nodding. "I guess that's the best reason to do this."
"But the minute, and I mean the second, something feels off, you bail," Octavia told them.
"Yeah, of course," Sam answered. "Deal."
"I already promised Brandon that if his organization crossed us again that we would burn it down," Amara told them.
"Yeah," Dean agreed.
"And I think that we all know that all of us would burn it down if something like that ever happened again," Ness told them.
Dean nodded. "Hell yeah."
Amara's phone rang. She looked at it. "It's Brandon."
"Brandon's calling you now?" Ariel asked.
Amara gave her a look. "Ariel."
Catty nodded to Amara. "Pick it up."
Amara nodded, answering the phone. "Hey, Brandon. It's Amara."
Of course the family didn't trust the Angels or the British Men of Letters, but they were trying to do everything they could to do the right thing, even if it meant working with people that they didn't trust to do so.
