chapter 11 - Regarding Amara

THEN

From 3.09 "Malleus Maleficarum", outside the Dutton House, Sam, Dean and Catty were leaving, posing as FBI.

Sam handed them a Hex Bag. "Hex Bag."

Dean took the bag. "Oh, gross."

Dean opened the Hex Bag to look inside.

"So we're thinking Witch?" Catty asked.

Sam took the Hex Bag away from Dean. "Uh, yeah."

From 3.09 "Malleus Maleficarum", 4.07 "It's the Great Pumpkin, Sam Winchester", 4.12 "Criss Angel is a Douchebag", 5.07 "The Curious Case of Ness Singer", 7.05 "Shut Up, Dr. Phil", 8.15 "Man's Best Friend with Benefits", 9.04 "Slumber Party", 10.07 "Girls, Girls, Girls", 10.12 "Girls Chase Boys", 11.13 "Love Hurts", 11.22 "We Happy Few", there were flashes of Witches, including Amanda Burns, Elizabeth, Renee Van Allen, Tracy Davis and Don Harding, Charlie the Magician, Patrick and Lia, Don and Maggie Stark, James Frampton and Spencer, the Wicked Witch of the West, Rowena, Katja, Sonja, Clea and four other Witches.

Dean: (voice over from 3.09 Malleus Maleficarum) "I hate Witches. They're always spewing their bodily fluids everywhere."

From 3.09 "Malleus Maleficarum", in Amanda's House, Catty walked closer to the dead rabbit hanging from the ceiling. "Why's the bunny always get screwed in the deal? Poor little guy."

From 3.09 "Malleus Maleficarum", on the road, Sam, Dean and Catty were in the Impala.

"Witches," Sam told them. "They're murderers."

Catty shrugged. "Burn, Witch, burn."

From 3.09 "Malleus Maleficarum", 4.07 "It's the Great Pumpkin, Sam Winchester", 8.15 "Man's Best Friend With Benefits", 9.04 "Slumber Party", 10.12 "Girls Chase Boys", 11.13 "Love Hurts", 11.22 "We Happy Few", Sam, Dean, Catty, Ness, Young Sabrina, Charlie, and the Darkness were seen killing Witches.

From 12.01 "Keep Calm and Carry On", in the farmhouse's basement, when Toni had drugged Octavia, Ness and Amara to psychologically torture them, they all heard a high-pitched ringing in their heads, holding their heads. They saw visions, hallucinations, appear in fog clouds ahead of them. Amara saw Amara/The Darkness summoning the lighting to kill the people in the park in 11.09 O Brother, Where Art Thou?, seeing Amara/The Darkness killing people in the church, and returning Dean's soul back to him in 11.06 Our Little World, seeing Young Amara, Teenage Amara, Amara/The Darkness, and Sabrina saving her from the Darkness, hearing her families' voices in her heads saying, "Dead. They're all dead because of you. All those people you killed when she had control of you... This is your fault. They're all dead because of you, Amara. It should've been you. Just die."

Because of the psychological torture, Amara had put a piece of broken glass to her throat, tears in her eyes.

"I know what you're going through," Ness told her. "It's guilt, but it's not fault."

"You're stronger than this," Octavia told her. "You just have to prove it to yourself."

Amara had shaky hands, slowly dropping the glass to the ground, starting to cry. Ness walked closer instantly, pulling Amara into her arms, holding her tightly in the embrace.

Day One

Lebanon, Kansas

Night - Woods

A wounded man was running through the forest, bleeding from a wound in his side. "You people. You never learn, do you? Always trying to run."

Amara was in the woods, in hiding as well, as he seemed to be chasing after her, trying to make a call on her phone, but the man used magic to throw the phone out of her hand, clearly a Witch. Amara sighed in annoyance. "Damn it."

Amara drew her gun, turning to shoot toward the Witch, hitting him in the chest, making him fall. She walked closer to make sure that he was down, keeping her gun aimed at him, about to fire at his heart to make sure he was dead.

The Witch turned around, using magic to stop the bullet before it hit him in the heart, revealing that he had carved something into the tree next to him, which was beginning to glow with purple light. "Dearmed!"

There was a flash of purple that threw Amara through the air and made her fall to the ground, unconscious.

Day Two

Morning - Woods

Amara was still passed out in the woods on the ground. There was a rabbit sitting beside her.

Amara suddenly woke up, looking strung out, confused and out of it, starting to sit up a bit, brushing leaves out of her face. She looked down, seeing the rabbit. "Hey, buddy." She picked the bunny up, standing. "Mm. Wow." She looked around, unsure of where she was, pulling out her phone to make a call, seeing the screen was badly cracked, and her phone no longer worked. "Oh, come on."

§

The Bunker - Library

Sam, Dean, Catty and Ness were at home with Aiden in the library.

"So, where is Amara?" Sam asked in confusion.

"Amara was out all night, saying that she was gonna hit up that, uh, low rate club that you can hardly even call a club," Dean answered.

Sam was even more confused and surprised. "She was actually out in the world doing something that doesn't involve hunting?"

"Yeah, we're as shocked as you are," Ness told them. "And I'm getting really worried."

"She said that she's fine," Dean told her.

"Oh, so Amara hasn't told you about the nightmares, the daymares where she loses time?" Ness asked sarcastically.

"I take it by the tone of voice that Amara hasn't told you this, either," Catty told her.

"Nope," Ness answered. "Dean and I had to put the pieces together."

Dean sighed. "Amara wants us to think that she's okay, but she's still struggling, Catty. And who can blame her?"

"So why did she run off last night and not come home?" Catty asked.

"She said she needed some time to clear her head," Dean answered. "The dump club downtown lets kids like her in free, but no drinking."

"Unless she pays off the bartender," Catty told them. "You know how many times I've pulled that?"

"Me too," Ness told them.

"So she's a little troublemaker genius like her mom with a mouth like her dad," Sam told them. "So she goes out to blow off some steam and get her mind off things. Normal teenage girl for once. Is something else wrong?"

Ness sighed. "Not wrong, Sam. Just... I'm worried about her."

Dean stood. "Hey, Ness, you're always worried about everything. One of your charms. Kinda like Catty, but Catty's a lot more paranoid and worried than you are all of the time, Ness."

"Thanks a lot, Dean," Catty told him sarcastically. "Really, awesome work."

Sam chuckled. "It's true, Catty."

"That's not the point, Sam," Catty told him. "Shut up."

Dean and Ness chuckled.

Dean looked at Ness. "But you are the voice of reason and reassurance when the rest of us need it. Let me be that for you for once."

Ness smiled a small smile. Dean smirked, pulling Ness closer into a kiss for a moment, pulling away.

Catty smiled. "Amara might be going through a lot right now, but she's a Winchester and a Singer, which means surviving is in her blood. She'll get through it."

Dean and Ness both smiled more convincingly.

Sam smiled. "Right, so now that we're all feeling better by the fact that we know that Amara is gonna get through this... Can we talk about the fact that there is a case that is not even thirty minutes out of town?"

"You think it's coincidence that there's something this close to us, or..." Catty trailed off.

"Well, my dad taught me that there is no such thing as coincidences," Ness told them. "And we all know that the only person that was smarter than me was my dad." Catty, Sam and Dean smiled in agreement, amused. Ness' phone rang. She took it out to see that unknown caller was on the ID, answering in confusion. "Hello?"

Amara's voice was on the other line. "Mom?"

Ness sighed in relief, putting her phone on speaker so they could all talk to her. "Amara, where the hell have you been?"

Amara was in a park, borrowing a phone from a nearby guy, looking around the park in confusion, and at the guy jogging in place. "I'm not really sure about that."

Sam, Dean, Ness and Catty were confused and concerned by this response.

"You..." Sam trailed off. "Well, where are you now?"

Amara looked around again. "I'm not real sure about that either. I, um..." She heard truck horns blaring, seeing a Waldo's Waffles sign. "Oh, I'm starving. How do you guys feel about waffles?"

Dean made a confused noise. "What?"

"Dumb question, right?" Amara asked. "What hunter doesn't love waffles?" Sam, Dean, Ness and Catty were completely confused by what Amara was saying. "I mean, they're fluffy. You got the little pockets full of syrup. You just cover them in whipped cream. Am I right? Anyway, meet me at Waldos', okay?"

"Hey," Catty told her. "Amara--"

Amara had already hung up, leaving them confused.

§

Waldo's Waffles

Sam, Dean, Ness and Catty got to Waldos', with Aiden, seeing that Amara was sitting on a table and already eating, walking closer, sitting down at the table with her. Ness pulled up a high chair to put Aiden in.

"Oh, hey," Amara told them. "Did you bring any, um..." She grimaced in slight pain, motioning to her head. Dean held up a bottle of aspirin, shaking it slightly. "Yes."

Amara took the pill bottle.

"Sounded like you could use it," Dean told her.

Amara nodded, opening the pill bottle. "Thank you."

"Rough night?" Sam asked.

"Rough morning," Amara answered. "I found a bunny in the woods and I wanna keep it."

Sam, Catty, Dean and Ness were even more confused but a little amused by the way that Amara was acting more happy and outgoing than she normally was. Amara took the pills out of the bottle, taking them with her coffee while they watched bemusedly.

"Wh--what happened?" Ness asked. "I mean, you just went out to clear your head."

"I don't know," Amara told them.

"What does that mean?" Sam asked.

"I--I guess I blacked out," Amara told them.

"Did you pay off the bartender at the club last night and get hammered?" Catty asked.

"Good possibility, but I don't remember," Amara told them.

"Well, I tried to call you," Ness told her.

"Um..." Amara trailed off, pulling out her destroyed cellphone, holding it up for them to see.

Dean nodded. "Oh."

Amara tossed her phone on the counter. "Not sure how that happened."

"Great," Sam told them.

"Have you guys heard from Uncle Cas, Sabrina, Aunt Ava, Ariel, Faith, or Levi?" Amara asked.

"Uh, yeah," Sam answered. "Mom's been hunting and said that she'll call if she has an emergency, and Cas, Sow, Levi, Ava, Ariel and Faith are still tracking down Kelly."

Amara looked confused at the mention of Kelly.

Dean gave Amara a confused look, wondering why she was acting like this. "The mother of Lucifer's lovechildren."

Amara suddenly remembered who Kelly was. "Right, right, yes, the Devil baby mama drama." She smiled in amusement. "Say that five times fast. Devil baby mama drama." Aiden smiled, giggling at Amara. Amara smiled. "Yeah."

A waitress dropped off some more food for them, walking away.

"All right, Mar, I know you've been having a rough go of it, and we're trying to help," Catty told her. "But take it from us, drinking yourself into blackouts is not gonna help anything."

"Right," Ness agreed. "And when it gets bad enough, you can't stop, and that's not very good for anyone."

Amara just looked at them for a moment. "Like you two didn't get into loads of trouble before you turned 18."

"Technically, you're only two, just like Aiden," Dean told her.

"True, but I know things that most elderly citizens don't know, because I was possessed by the Darkness and consumed millions of souls and learned all that they knew, including Sage Sanders, and yours, Dad, which makes me a lot older in my mind," Amara replied.

Sam, Catty, Dean and Ness knew that Amara had a point, a little exasperated and concerned. Amara, Dean and Aiden continued to eat. Ness and Catty started to drink. Sam looked between them in amusement, shaking his head.

They saw a group of guys walk in. One of them appeared to recognize Amara, looking amused, joining the other guys at their table.

Ness was confused, putting her hand up to get the bill from the waitress.

Sam checked his watch. "Dean, Catty, we gotta go soon. The morgue opens in, like, 10 minutes."

Amara took a sip of her coffee, looking confused. "The morgue?"

"The autopsy results," Catty told her. Amara became distracted by the guy that had walked in, noticing that he was looking at her, looking confused like she was trying to remember where she had seen him before. "Are you still drunk?"

Amara turned her head slightly toward them, but didn't look at them. "I don't think so." Aiden leaned over to Amara to tangle his fingers through her hair. Amara chuckled but pulled his hand away. "Careful, Aiden."

Aiden smiled. "Mar-Mar."

Amara smiled. "Yeah, Aid, Mar-Mar."

"All right, our--our case?" Dean asked.

Aiden looked at them. "Mm?"

Amara looked up.

"The case that is not thirty minutes from here, the dead guy, throat stuffed full of money," Ness told her. "Any of this ring a bell?"

Amara seemed to remember what they were talking about, nodding. "Right, yes, right. Um... the accountant?"

"Yeah," Dean answered. "Barry Gilman."

"Right," Amara told them. "And you think he got his ticket punched by a Demon."

"Maybe," Catty told them.

"Okay, but when we went over to his place yesterday, we got a whole bunch of jack and a little bit of squat," Sam told them. "There was no Hex Bags, no EMF, no sulfur."

"So, not a case?" Amara asked, turning back to her food.

"Maybe not, but if it's not a case, then what is it?" Catty asked.

Dean took a drink of coffee. "I don't know, death by money? You know, maybe the guy got whacked by, uh, some mob dude with an ironic sense of humor."

Ness chuckled, looking at Sam, Catty and Dean. "All right, well, you three go scope out the body. We can stay here so Amara can finish her waffles and Aiden can have some time outside the bunker."

"All right," Catty told them. "Have fun."

"Maybe I will, for a change," Amara told them.

Sam, Catty and Dean stood, walking away.

Ness looked at Amara. "You sure you're okay?"

"When are you gonna stop asking me that?" Amara asked.

"Oh, I don't know," Ness told her sarcastically. "Maybe when you stop having nightmares both in your sleep and waking hours, when you stop being so jumpy, and when you can actually get a decent night's sleep."

Amara looked busted and sheepish, awkward and confused. "How did you know all about that?"

"I'm your mom," Ness answered. "It's my job to know about the things that go on with you, even the things that you don't tell me or Dean about."

"I'm fine," Amara told her, awkwardly taking a drink.

"No, you're not, and you haven't been since that Brit bitch got into your head and almost made you kill yourself," Ness told her.

"I will be," Amara told her.

"I know you will be, in time," Ness told her. "I just want you to know that we are here to help you with whatever you need. I know it's not always so easy to open up, but that's what we're here for."

Amara looked at Ness gratefully in appreciation, though she was still nervous and a little awkward about opening up about what happened to her, nodding in agreement. "I know."

"Come on," Ness told her. "We should get back, put Aiden down. You and Aiden both look like you could use a few hours of sleep."

Amara nodded expressively in agreement, standing. "Yes, please."

Ness smiled, standing, placing out money onto the table, picking Aiden up.

The guy that had been looking at Amara walked up to them, looking at her. "Hey."

Amara looked at the guy for a moment in confusion, trying to figure out where she saw him, getting annoyed and frustrated when she seemed to remember something, slapping the guy in the face.

The guy's friends at the nearby table started to laugh tauntingly.

Ness looked at Amara in surprise, raising her eyebrows slightly.

Amara walked past Ness and Aiden toward the door.

The guy smirked in amusement.

§

Outside

Ness frowned in confusion, following Amara outside. "What was that?"

"Memory's a little fuzzy from last night, but he kept hitting on me when I told him to leave me alone," Amara answered. "Not really sure what happened after that."

Ness nodded in understanding. "Ah. Yep, been there, done that."

Amara smiled a small smile.

§

Hospital - Morgue

Sam, Dean and Catty were posing as FBI, looking at a body of an older man on an autopsy table with his upper torso uncovered.

The coroner walked in, carrying a box with evidence from the body in it, handing it to Sam.

"Hey," Dean told them.

Sam took the box. "Uh, thank you."

"Great," Catty told her. "We'll let you know if we need anything else. Thanks."

The coroner left the room, closing the door behind her.

Sam placed the box on a stand beside the body. "All right." He began looking through the autopsy report. "So cause of death was suffocation. Officially."

"Okay," Dean told them. "We already knew that."

Sam read from the report. "See evidence bag B-1-4. All right." He put the report down, opening the box, looking through the bags in the box, which all contained items that were covered in blood. Dean and Catty looked away. Sam pulled out a bag full of very bloody money. "Huh." He turned to show Dean and Catty. "Says they pulled all this from his stomach."

Dean was trying to avoid looking at the bag while trying not to throw up. "Mm-hmm. Mm, big breakfast." He looked briefly at the bag, turning away, covering his mouth. "Okay."

Catty turned to put the money back in the box. "All right." Dean continued to make gagging sounds. Catty looked through them, finding a small bag with a small pink Hex Bag inside. "Well, well." She took the bag with the Hex Bag inside out, showing it to Dean. "You were saying about an ironic mobster?"

Dean sighed. "All right, so, a Witch force feeds old Barry here a Hex Bag and then casts a spell."

"Yeah, a spell that pumps him so full of cash, he dies choking on it," Sam told them, putting the bag in the box.

Catty sighed, rolling her eyes. "Ugh. Witches."

Sam picked up the report, looking through it.

"Well, I guess it's true what they say," Dean told them. "Mo' money, mo' problems, right?"

Dean smiled, chuckling to himself.

Sam just looked at him. "I thought Amara was the drunk one today."

Catty smiled, chuckling. "Yeah, I think both Amara and Dean are."

They walked out of the morgue.

§

The Bunker - War Room

Amara, Dean, Ness, Sam, Aiden and Catty were returning home to the bunker, starting to walk downstairs into the war room.

Aiden was smiling as he was running his toy figurine cars over the floor.

"So, why would somebody want Barry dead?" Sam asked. "I mean, what, did he screw up a tax return?"

"He's actually more of a money manager," Catty told them. "Boring job."

"Well, whatever he was, looks like he, uh, certainly made one hell of a, uh..." Amara trailed off, trying to remember what word she was looking for.

Ness looked at her in confusion. "Enemy?"

"Enemy, yeah," Amara answered. "Those guys."

"Maybe he blew the wrong person's savings," Catty told them.

"All right, well, Sammy, Catty and I'll go check out his clients," Dean told them.

"Which one?" Sam asked. "Barry worked for the richest families in town."

Amara sat next to Aiden on the floor, going through his toys, looking slightly confused at which ones she was looking for, seeming unable to focus on what they were saying.

"Amara?" Dean asked. "Listen, Mar, I--I know we haven't had it easy lately, least of all you. The Darkness, this thing with the Devil's kids, and losing me, Catty and Sam to West Guantanamo... can't be easy after everything that you went through already. But we're here, all right? Together." Amara couldn't focus on what they were saying, looking completely out of it. "Amara? Amara?"

Amara looked up, turning her head toward them. "Who's Amara?"

Sam, Catty, Dean and Ness were very confused and concerned.

§

Library

Amara walked into the library, taking off her jacket, with Sam, Catty, Dean and Ness following her. "I told you, I'm fine."

"Amara, you forgot your own name," Catty told her.

"For a second," Amara told them. "Okay, yeah, that was weird."

"All right, look, we know we're dealing with a Witch, right?" Sam asked. "Maybe you got hexed."

Amara tossed her jacket onto the table next to a book, turning to face them, slightly amused but also slightly annoyed. "If a Witch got a clear shot of me, I would be dead, okay? I wouldn't be freaking, uh..." She looked at Aiden. "Dory."

"Dory?" Ness repeated.

"I'm not gonna apologize for loving that fish," Amara told them. "Not to you, not to anyone. And it's Aiden's favorite movie, though his favorite cartoon show is Scooby Doo, so of course I had to watch them with Aiden over and over and over again. Not that I'm complaining. I love Dory and Scooby Doo just as much as Aiden does."

"Right, okay," Ness told her. "All right, if you're doing so well, name all the members of Halestorm."

Amara scoffed. "Okay, done. We got Lzzy Hale..." She paused, unable to remember the rest. Ness gave her a knowing, 'I told you so' look. "Whatever, this is stupid. Mom, I'm fine, okay?" She turned around, walking around the room, looking around to find something to prove. "I feel great. Look, uh..." She turned, picking up the book, looking at them. "This is a book." She dropped the gun, pointing at her jacket. "This is a coat." She walked over to the thin lamp, gesturing to it. "This is a... a... a... light stick."

Sam, Catty Dean and Ness were startled, confused, concerned and a little exasperated that Amara was unable to remember the right word.

Sam scoffed softly. "A light st--" He turned to the desk, pulling out a sticky note pad, writing something on it. "All right, we're gonna get you some help."

"Look, we can figure this out, okay?" Amara asked. "Don't go..."

Catty looked up, calling out. "Sabrina! Ariel! Faith!"

Amara closed her eyes, shaking her head, finishing what she was saying. "Calling Uncle Cas or Aunt Ava, or Sabrina, Ariel and Faith with this."

"Oh, we are definitely gonna call Cas, Ava, Sabrina, Ariel and Faith with this," Catty told her. "We need to get all the help we can get to get you better, Amara."

Sam pulled off the sticky note, standing, walking over to the lamp to put the sticky note on it, revealing it said 'Lamp'. "But until you get better..."

Amara looked at the note, snapping her fingers. "Lamp, right. So close."

Sabrina, Ariel and Faith brought Castiel and Octavia to the Bunker.

"Hey," Ness told them. "Where's Levi?"

"He's still looking for Kelly Kline," Sabrina answered. "Even Levi said looking for her is a lot harder than we thought because of whatever Lucifer did to hide them."

"What is it?" Castiel asked. "What's wrong?"

"We need your help," Dean answered.

"What else is new?" Octavia asked.

Sam chuckled. "Ava."

Octavia smiled. "Kidding. What's wrong?"

Amara was going through the mini fridge nearby, walking closer with two mini bottles. "Since when do we have tiny vodkas? Score."

Dean and Ness both took the bottles from Amara before she could drink them. Amara gave them a 'what the hell' look and gesture. Sam and Catty smirked in amusement. Castiel, Octavia, Sabrina, Ariel and Faith frowned in confusion. Amara sighed, pacing around.

"What's going on with Amara?" Ariel asked.

"Why can't I read her mind?" Sabrina asked. "What's wrong?"

Dean sighed. "That's what we're trying to figure out."

"What do you mean?" Faith asked.

"We think Amara's been hexed," Sam answered. "She--she's been forgetting things."

"Is she just drunk?" Octavia asked. "Wouldn't be the first time a Winchester's forgotten everything while they were drunk."

"That was our first question, too, but, no, she's not drunk," Dean answered.

"We could do a memory spell," Castiel told them. "Amara, did your hair fall out?"

"Her hair's fine," Ariel answered.

"Hair's pretty, too," Faith added.

"I mean, on her body," Castiel explained.

"What?" Sabrina asked.

Castiel sighed awkwardly. "From the neck down, certain memory loss spells make victims lose their hair."

"How would we know that?" Sabrina asked. "And we're not checking, either."

"Rules out a mnemonic curse," Octavia told them. "The obliviate spell wipes the memory clean over time, but it's intricate magic. I..."

"How do we break it?" Ariel asked.

"Theoretically?" Castiel asked. "Kill the Witch."

"How do you know all of this?" Faith asked. "I mean, you're not Witches."

"Because Ava's an Angel that gave birth to two Nephilims after being possessed by Lucifer and tortured by the Darkness herself," Sam answered. "You know more about any of this, more than any of us, Ava."

"You can flirt later, Uncle Sammy," Sabrina told him. "Let's just get Amara so that I can heal her."

"Can you do that?" Ariel asked. "Heal a memory curse?"

"Why not?" Sabrina asked.

"No," Castiel told them. "Trying to heal Amara's mind from the hex could have the opposite effect and damage her brain severely."

"But we can help by finding the Witches and the spell that did this to her, and reverse it," Octavia told them.

Faith looked around. "Where's Amara? Where did she go?"

They all turned to see that Amara had left the room while they had been busy talking about her.

"Amara?" Ness asked. Dean and Ness both stood, walking away to find her. "Amara?"

§

Hallway

Ness and Dean walked through the hallways of the Bunker, looking for Amara.

"Amara?" Dean asked. "Amara?" They walked around a corner to find Amara trying to open a locked door, trying to use a lock pick, but she had trouble using it. "Mar, what are you doing?"

Amara turned to look at them. "Trying to get into my room. Why is the door locked?"

"That's not your room," Ness told her.

Dean sighed. "That's the electronic room, and we lock it so Aiden can't get in there."

Amara was confused, looking around at all of the doors in the hallway. "All these rooms look the same."

Amara shrugged, walking past them toward the stairs to walk down the hallway into the library again. Dean and Ness were even more worried and concerned, freaking out about her condition, following her.

§

Library

Dean, Ness and Amara returned to the library to join the others.

Sabrina looked at Amara. "So, this spell, you're stuck in some sort of Momento crap."

"Right," Ariel agreed. "The fix sounds easy. You just find the Witch who did it and kill it."

"And if that doesn't work, we have to find the ritual that is doing this to you and undo it," Faith told her.

"Ava can do the spell if she needs to," Sam told her.

"Oh, halle-freaking-lujah," Amara told them.

"We think you got hexed last night," Catty told her.

"Yeah?" Amara asked.

"Yeah," Catty answered. "We need to retrace your steps."

"I can bring Levi here and ask him to watch Aiden while we look for who did this to Amara," Sabrina told them.

"Yeah, that's a good idea, Sabrina," Octavia told her.

"All right, we need to figure out what happened to you, Amara," Ariel told her. "Think."

"What's the last thing you remember you did?" Faith asked. "Amara?"

Amara thought about it, using her thumb to point behind her toward the hallway. "I tried to pick the lock to my room."

Sam, Catty, Octavia, Castiel, Sabrina, Ariel and Faith looked confused, looking at Dean and Ness. They were all frustrated with the curse that was doing this to Amara and concerned about what it could do to her.

§

Club

(Song:) Paris Ooh La La - Grace Potter and the Nocturnals

The family walked into the club where she had been the night before, which was a lame and downgraded version of a party place.

"All right, anything?" Sabrina asked.

Amara looked frustrated. "No. I--I... no." She turned to walk out again, stopping when she saw the guy from Waldos', pointing him out to Ness. "Wait, it's--it's him from, uh, from the waffles."

"Who him?" Castiel asked.

"A guy that Mar here says that kept hitting on her last night even when she told him to go away," Ness answered. "Amara said that she didn't remember anything else after that."

"All right, let's go talk to this guy," Catty told them.

"So we can figure out what happened, or so Dean can teach him a lesson about not leaving Amara alone?" Sam asked.

"Why not a little bit of both?" Ariel asked.

"Yeah, I mean, he did mess with her on the night that she got hexed," Faith told them.

Octavia chuckled. "Ariel. Faith."

"Dad, just leave him alone," Amara told him. "He didn't do anything."

"That we know of," Dean told them, leading them toward the guy, looking overprotective.

The others were amused, following.

"Excuse me," Sam told him.

"Hey," Sabrina told him.

Ariel and Faith waved. "Hi."

The guy looked at Amara. "If you're gonna apologize, you better make it quick."

"Her apologize for what?" Castiel asked.

"Uh, she smacked me this morning," the guy answered.

"Because you came up to me like a creeper like you did last night," Amara told him.

The guy chuckled in amusement. "That's how you remember it?"

"Actually, she doesn't remember much of anything," Catty answered.

"That's why we're here, to figure it out," Ness told him.

The guy started to walk around the club to deliver drinks, both nonalcoholic and alcoholic, so they followed him, asking questions.

"Okay, listen, this is actually sensitive," Catty told him. "We--we think Amara may have been roofied."

The guy stopped walking, turning to face them. "Seriously?"

"Seriously?" Amara asked.

Sam barely glanced at Amara, frustrated with her lack of memory, but not frustrated with her because he knew that it wasn't her fault, looking at the guy. "If you can tell us anything about what happened last night, it would be a big help."

The guy walked over to a table to pick up a few glasses, turning to face them as they walked closer. "Sure. I..."

"Great," Octavia told him.

"She came in, sitting at a table, looking depressed and bored out of her mind," the guy told them. "She paid me off to get her a real drink." Catty and Ness gave Sam and Dean an 'I told you so' look. "It was gonna be a minute. We were slammed." The guy looked at Amara. "Then you knocked back... four shots of tequila?" Dean and Ness gave Amara a look, but they couldn't exactly judge her for drinking because they started drinking before they even hit double digits. Amara looked sheepish and a little embarrassed, chuckling nervously. "Some Halestorm song came on, and you started dancing out on the floor."

"I did?" Amara asked. The guy nodded. "I danced? Was I good?"

"You were... amazing," the guy answered.

Amara looked a little pleased at the thought that she could dance. The guy smirked in amusement.

Dean glared at the guy, in overprotective dad mode. "Hmm. And what were you doing?"

"What was I doing?" the guy asked.

"Yeah," Dean answered.

"We were packed, and I was busy," the guy told them. "I didn't even see her leave. I guess I went home after work."

"You guess?" Dean repeated. "Well, it's a simple question. I ask what you did, and you tell me. For instance, you said that you knew that Amara was underage when you served her tequila, and then she doesn't have her memory for the rest of the night, and she still has memory loss."

"I didn't do anything," the guy told them. "There was a guy that wanted me to give her a drink, and I did."

"And who was this guy?" Castiel asked.

"I couldn't tell you," the guy told them. "He seemed new to town. I admit, I flirted with her a bit, but I didn't do anything to her."

"Yeah, we'll see," Dean told him.

Amara rolled her eyes, embarrassed and sheepish. Sabrina, Ariel and Faith were trying not to smile. Sam, Catty, Ness, Castiel and Octavia chuckled in amusement.

Sabrina looked at the guy. "Oh, and one more thing. Did you see anyone else talking to her?"

"The bartender said she saw her run out of here," the guy told them. He looked at Amara in concern. "Oh. Poor thing. You were all roofied up."

"I'm okay," Amara told them, still awkward about this entire thing, looking around, completely ignoring the fact that the guy was looking at her and flirting with her in this very moment, while Sabrina, Ariel and Faith were smiling, Sam, Catty, Castiel and Octavia were a little amused, and Dean and Ness were annoyed.

Dean leaned closer to threaten the guy. "Yeah, you ever look at her like that again, I'll break your face."

Ness tilted her head, chuckling slightly. "Dean..."

Catty looked around. "Does this place have security cameras?"

"Yeah," the guy answered.

Ariel sighed, nodding. "Good."

Faith nodded in agreement. "Great."

Later

The family were now looking through security footage.

"First night I actually got to have fun in my life, and it's like it never even happened because I was targeted by a Witch," Amara told them.

Castiel sighed. "Figures."

"Well, that's the life of a Winchester and Singer," Octavia told her.

Ariel looked at the screen of Amara in the alley behind the club. "Okay, whoa. There she is."

"Yeah," Faith agreed. They saw the Witch walk toward Amara from behind on the video. Video Amara turned to look at him, talking with inaudible words. Faith leaned closer to the screen. "Wait, wait, wait."

"What are you doing?" Sam asked.

"I'm trying to read their lips," Faith answered. "'Now salsa you mittens'."

"You can't read lips," Ariel told her.

Faith sat back, shaking her head in agreement. "I can't read lips."

The Witch in the video used magic to throw Amara to the ground.

"You see that?" Ariel asked.

"Yeah, of course," Sabrina answered. "I think we got our Witch."

"Amara, you don't remember any of this?" Octavia asked.

Amara shook her head. "It's like watching myself on Netflix."

Ness paused the video to get a better look at the Witch that attacked Amara. Sam, Catty and Dean recognized him.

Sam looked at Catty and Dean. "That guy look familiar, that jacket?"

"Yep," Catty answered.

"Who is he?" Castiel asked.

"I think Barry had a picture of him in his office," Catty told them.

Castiel frowned in concern. "And he went after Amara last night, when they attacked someone in our city? That's not a coincidence."

"Nope," Sam agreed.

"I told you, there is no such thing as coincidences," Ness told them.

"Well, there's something else that Ness Singer-Winchester is right about," Octavia told them. "And she's normally right about everything."

Castiel nodded in agreement. "Well..."

They continued to watch the video. Video Amara had gotten up and drawn her gun, firing at the Witch.

Amara was greatly surprised. "And I take a shot. I know how to shoot a gun?"

The others were concerned but didn't answer. The footage of the video went blurry and fuzzy so that they couldn't see what happened next.

Outside

They walked out the back of the bar to the area they were watching on the security tape.

Sabrina walked around, looking for the place that Amara had been, and what direction she had run off. "All right, so... you crashed there. Uh, you ran that way. Uh, shot, uh... here." She knelt down, picking up a bullet casing. "Yep. Witch-killing bullet."

Amara appeared to be losing focus and more memory. "Wait." She walked toward them. "Wait, wait, wait, wait. There are Witches?"

Amara seemed excited by the prospect.

They were even more concerned that Amara couldn't remember that.

Castiel put a hand on Amara's shoulder. "Amara... Witches are real. Vampires, Werewolves, Witches... they're all real. And we kill them."

Amara took a moment to process, smiling. "Awesome. That's awesome."

They were surprised with her reaction, satisfied for now.

"Right," Octavia told them. "Right. Come on."

§

Woods

Sam, Dean, Catty and Ness all had flashlights to lead the way into the woods. Sabrina, Castiel, Octavia, Ariel and Faith didn't need flashlights.

Amara looked in her jacket pocket, happily surprised to find a flashlight. "Ah." She turned the flashlight on, following them into the woods, asking questions along the way. "Okay, so wait, so--so Djinns don't grant wishes, and Sirens are evil-looking monsters instead of pretty girls?"

"Yeah," Dean answered. "I was disappointed to learn that from Ness."

"Huh," Ariel told them.

Dean looked at Ness. "I am so not looking forward to this conversation with Aiden."

"Me, neither," Ness told him. "It was the only easy thing about Amara being grown up when Sow brought her back home. She already knew everything."

"Right," Octavia agreed. "But seeing her like this..."

"It's killing all of us, and her," Castiel finished.

Amara was listening to them. "Yeah, but monsters are real, and we're the guys that kill them. I mean, come on, best job ever."

"Yeah, if you like greasy diner food, crappy motel rooms, more than one Apocalypse," Sam told them.

"I don't know," Ariel told them. "You all kinda sound like heroes to me and Faith."

"Yeah," Faith agreed. "And Ariel and I wanna be like you."

They stopped for a moment to process that, touched and relieved to hear them say that, though they were all still worried and concerned about Amara right now. They came upon a tree that had a bloody handprint and a bullet hole in it.

"Hey," Sabrina told them, pointing to the tree. She touched the bullet hole. "Whoa."

Amara looked at Castiel and Octavia suddenly. "And you're both Angels." She looked at Ariel and Faith. "You're Nephilims, and I don't know what that is." She looked at Sabrina. "And you're the True Hybrid. What?"

They looked at her in concern.

"We just have to get you cured," Castiel told her, walking along. "Immediately."

"Yeah," Octavia agreed. "Okay."

They followed Castiel. They came up to another tree with strange markings on it, stopping, looking closer.

"Hey," Sabrina told them.

"Whoa," Amara told them. "Okay, now, these? Freaky."

Amara laughed, but they were distracted by the markings.

"No, they're just, uh, glyphs," Octavia told them. "Witches use them in spells, and they look really familiar, but we gotta get back to the Bunker so we can make sure what they mean."

"Okay," Ariel told them.

Faith looked at Amara. "Sabrina, Ariel and I can get us back there fast."

Amara nodded. "What's a bunker? That's a weird word." She started to wander a bit, stopping in her tracks. "Guys?"

They walked closer quickly.

"What?" Castiel asked.

Amara looked up at them, pointing to the ground at the dead Witch. "Is that a dead guy?"

"Yeah," Sabrina answered. "I think that's our Witch."

Amara seemed slightly scared but excited about seeing a dead body. "Cool."

"No, Amara, killing the Witch was supposed to be the cure," Ness told her. "So, if he's already dead, then we have to find the ritual that is doing this to you and reverse the spell ourselves to make you... you again."

Ariel sighed. "Not cool."

Faith rolled her eyes. "Okay, what now?"

"Now we get out of here and back home to figure out what the glyphs mean," Castiel answered.

Sam nodded. "Let's go. Come on."

"Okay," Catty told them.

Sabrina, Ariel and Faith took them home.

§

Later

Two people approached the Witch's body, a blonde woman and blonde  haired man with glasses, distraught at finding him dead.

The woman seemed more upset and angry than the man. "Oh, hunters!" She crouched down to put her hand on the dead man's head. "Poor Gideon."

"I told you two to leave the Winchesters and the accountant alone," the man told her.

The woman looked up angrily. "Ness Singer-Winchester and her father killed our family, Boyd. They killed Gideon's children, which is why he went after Amara Winchester."

"Yeah, and then Amara killed him," Boyd replied.

The woman ignored him. "And that tub of guts stole from us. He deserved what he got, and those hunters are gonna get what they deserve."

"They're on us, Catrina," Boyd told her. "We have to run."

Catrina stood up to face the man. "I am not going to run."

"So what?" Boyd asked. "You wanna kill them, too?"

Catrina exhaled angrily, looking down at Gideon sadly. "I want my family back."

The Bunker - Library

Sam, Dean, Catty and Ness were researching.

Amara was sitting next to Ness, looking in fascination at the picture of Gideon's body. "Is that a dead guy?"

"Yeah," Ness answered.

"Whoa," Amara told them. "Never seen a dead guy before."

Sam shook his head slightly, chuckling. "Uh, yeah, you have. Trust me."

Amara was confused due to the memory loss. "Hmm." Sabrina, Ariel, Faith, Octavia and Castiel walked toward them. "Who are you?"

Castiel turned to Catty. "Spell's progressed, I see."

"Where'd the other guy go?" Amara asked.

"Levi?" Sabrina asked. "I took him back out to look for Kelly since we were here with Aiden now."

Catty sighed. "Cas, Ava, Ness, please tell me you have something. I mean, please."

Amara reached out to touch Ariel and Faith's hair. "Mm, your hair, it's so bouncy."

Ariel nodded awkwardly. "Thanks."

"We need to fix her, like now," Faith told them.

Sam nodded in agreement. "Yeah, so what do you got, Ava?"

"Those glyphs we found are an archaic form of Celtic," Octavia answered. "Ogham Chraobh. The Druids used it in their rituals, calling it the 'Language of the Trees'."

Amara looked up at them. "Wait, wait. Now the trees are talking?"

They all looked at Amara, startled and concerned.

"Uh, Amara, do you remember HBO?" Ariel asked.

Amara frowned in confusion. "Um..."

"Cinemax?" Faith asked.

Sabrina stood, pulling Amara with her by the hand toward where Aiden was sitting in front of the TV where he was watching cartoons. "Uh, Amara, come here. We're just gonna..."

Amara was surprised but easily agreeable. "Oh."

"We're gonna sit you down right here with Aiden, okay?" Ariel asked.

Amara nodded, sitting down with Aiden. Sabrina, Ariel and Faith sat down with them.

Faith nodded. "Watch some TV with little Aiden."

Amara wrapped her arms around Aiden from behind to hold him as they, Sabrina, Ariel and Faith watched TV together. Aiden smiled at the hug, giggling happily, holding Amara's arms, making her laugh. They were watching Scooby Doo, Where Are You!, episode "Hassle in the Castle", all four of them entertained by the cartoon.

Octavia, Sam, Dean, Ness, Catty and Castiel were slightly reassured by the sight of them watching cartoons together, but were concerned and worried about everything.

"Perfect," Castiel told them. "Stay there." The adults walked a little ways away to talk alone. "Come here."

"There's only one family of Witches versed in this kind of magic," Ness told them. "Dad and I researched them for years, even taking out a few back in the day. That's why I recognized those glyphs. Loughlin witches."

"You said that you and Bobby took out a few of their Witches," Sam told her. Ness nodded. "You think that's why they came after Amara, to get revenge?"

"Maybe," Catty answered. "Son of a bitches."

Ness sighed. "I looked through Dad's journal to refresh my memory about the Loughlin family tree."

§

Night - Loughlin House - Outside

There was a SUV parked out front of a large, secluded house. Boyd and Catrina were standing at the bottom of the steps as one of their servants was carrying the body of Gideon into the house.

Ness: (voice over) "And found out a hundred years ago, the Loughlins came over from the Old World and turned a small town on the Mississippi Delta into their own personal sphere of operation and control. Children were named Gideon, Boyd and Catrina."

§

Inside - Living Room

Boyd and Catrina followed their brother's body inside. He was placed on a large table and black stones were placed on his closed eyes. Catrina was seen placing a large book on a stand, looking at a particular spell. She looked up from the book, giving a determined nod as Boyd continued to walk around Gideon's body, placing objects around him.

Ness: (voice over) "They had kids of their own, and that's who my dad and I took out. I think it was Gideon's children, actually, and that's why he came after Amara for revenge. The family had a powerful spell book, a tome of Druidic magic called the Black Grimoire. Witches came from around the world to live with them and study its secrets... for a price."

§

The Bunker - Library

Ness was still explaining to Octavia, Sam, Dean, Catty and Castiel. "Dad and I were not the only hunters that hunted the Loughlins, but we did kill quite a few of them. Gideon's kids were teenagers by the time, wreaking havoc like their family."

Amara, Aiden, Sabrina, Ariel and Faith were laughing at the cartoons on the TV. Octavia, Sam, Dean, Ness, Catty and Castiel looked at them. Amara, Sabrina, Ariel and Faith saw them looking at them, turning back to the TV to keep watching.

"With Gideon dead, if we want to break the curse on Amara, we need to find that book to reverse the spell," Octavia told them. "And we don't have much time. She's already begun to forget herself, everyone she's ever known, ever loved, everything that the Darkness made her learn while she was possessed... Soon, she'll forget how to speak, how to do anything, and then... Amara Winchester's going to die."

Amara was listening to them, making a slightly concerned face. "Sucks for that girl." They all looked at her. Amara shook her head a bit. "Huh."

Sabrina, Ariel, Faith, Octavia, Sam, Dean, Ness, Catty and Castiel looked at each other with looks of growing concern.

§

Later

They all were sitting at the tables. They had just told Amara their lives' stories. All of them were worried about the spell's progression.

"So after everything... that's it," Amara told them. "This is what nails me?"

"No," Faith answered. "No, no, Amara. I--it..." She took a deep breath. "It's not gonna happen, all right?"

Amara turned to them, starting to look a bit scared at what was happening. "Well, you just told me my whole life story. And I gotta be honest, guys. I--I can feel it slipping out of my head. I mean, ganking monsters is one thing. But this..."

Amara covered her face with her hand.

"You know, uh, we're gonna, um..." Ariel trailed off worriedly. "We'll figure it out. All right? We will."

Dean and Ness held Amara close.

Amara looked overwhelmed, standing. "I'll be back."

Amara walked into the bathroom at the far end of the room.

The others looked at each other in concern, scared about what was happening to her.

"You know, we've seen each other die, but watching Amara become... not her..." Dean trailed off. "This might actually be worse."

The others nodded worriedly in agreement.

Ness stood, walking toward the bathroom to keep an eye on Amara, because she didn't close the door and all she was doing was looking at the mirror and washing her face.

Amara looked intently into the mirror at her reflection to try to make herself remember. "Ah, okay. My name is Amara Winchester. Sam Winchester and Cas are my uncles. Ava, and Catty Winchester are my aunts. Dean Winchester is my father. Ness Singer-Winchester is my mother. Aiden Winchester is my brother. Sabrina, Ariel and Faith Winchester are my cousins."

Amara sighed, looking unsure about everything she had just said.

Ness turned to look at the others. They stood, walking toward Ness, keeping their voices low so that they wouldn't overwhelm Amara anymore than she already was.

"We need to find that grimoire," Castiel told them.

"Why can't I just heal her?" Sabrina asked. "I can't read her mind anymore. It's like the spell is rewiring her brain."

"That's why, Sabrina," Castiel answered. "If you heal her, her brain could stay the way it is now, and we'll never get her back. We have to cast the reversal spell."

"So, what do you think?" Ariel asked. "We just go in and smite the two other Witches and get the book?"

"Wait a sec," Faith told them. "Who can even do the reversal spell?"

Sabrina, Sam, Dean, Ness and Catty looked at Castiel and Octavia.

"Mom and Uncle Cas can cast a spell like that?" Ariel asked.

"Yeah, we can, Ariel," Octavia answered.

"We may not be Witches, but even Humans have the ability to use Witchcraft, even if they don't use it in the right way," Castiel explained.

Catty nodded in agreement. "Yeah, in fact, Sam, Dean and I have cast a few spells on our own, and so have Ness and Bobby, when Ness' dad was still alive."

"Really?" Faith asked, impressed.

"Yeah," Sabrina answered.

Ariel and Faith managed small smiles. "Cool."

They were listening to Amara in the bathroom.

Amara was still staring intently into the mirror. "My name is Amara Wi... Winchester." She looked down as she realized she barely remembered her name. She looked up again to try again. "My name... my name is..." The fear on her face was visible that she didn't remember her name. "My... my name is... is..."

Amara stared into the mirror, completely disbelieving and lost, trying not to cry out of confusion and fear.

The others were completely heartbroken to see this, turning to each other.

"Gideon Loughlin's address was in his accountant's file," Sam told them. "If the book is there, we'll find it."

"The Black Grimoire's written in ancient Druid," Ness told them.

Faith looked at Octavia and Castiel. "Please tell me you know ancient Druid."

"I think they know a lot of things, Faith," Ariel told her.

"Ness, you said a few of the Loughlin's survived, right?" Dean asked.

"Yeah, but they won't be a problem for Sabrina, Ariel and Faith, or Ava and Cas," Catty told them.

"Well, Ness and Bobby killed quite a few back in the day, and Amara just killed one of them that came after her last night," Castiel told them.

"In case the address you said was wrong, Faith, Ariel and I can track them fast," Sabrina told them.

"Sabrina's right," Faith told them. "Right, Ariel?"

Ariel nodded, smiling worriedly. "Right, Faith."

The others managed small smiles, still really worried.

"All right, come on," Octavia told them.

"The five of us can find them and kill them," Faith told them. "Get the spell book and come back here."

Ariel nodded. "Amara and Aiden seem like they really need you guys. We got this."

They all nodded in agreement.

"Good luck," Catty told them.

Sabrina, Ariel and Faith left with Castiel and Octavia. Sam, Dean, Ness and Catty turned to look at Amara in the bathroom.

Amara was looking at her reflection in fear and sadness. "My... my... I don't know."

§

Later

Amara had rejoined Sam, Dean, Catty, Ness and Aiden.

Amara was struggling to remember their names. "So, Uncle Cas, Aunt Ava, Ariel and Faith, and Sabrina are all going after the Witches that did this to me so that we can fix me before I die."

"Yeah," Dean answered. Amara sighed, spinning around in a circle, facing the table, picking up a bottle from the table to mess with it curiously. Dean took the bottle from her. "Careful. That's a Witch-killing potion that Ness made for Witch-killing bullets."

Amara seemed impressed and surprised by this. "Cool."

Catty gave Amara one of Aiden's toys to play with. "Here. Play with this."

Aiden was a little fussy. "Mamma."

Ness walked over to Aiden to pick him up. "Hey, Aiden. It's okay, I'm here."

Amara struggled to remember his name. "Why is... Aiden fussy?"

"Maybe he can sense what's going on with you," Sam answered. "Ness had the Mark of Cain when she was pregnant with you and Aiden. So Aiden has a sense of feeling when something's up, or evil, or if something's wrong with one of us."

Amara smiled. "Awesome. So, do I have a power?"

"We don't know how the Mark affected you, Amara," Dean admitted. "But who knows?"

"As far as we can tell, you don't have a power," Catty told her. "But you've been mostly in the Bunker, without hunting. So we don't know if you do or not." Amara was once again amused by that word, opening her mouth to speak. Catty nodded. "And, yes, we know, it's a weird word."

"Would it be bad if I had a power?" Amara asked. "Is it bad that Aiden does?"

Catty chuckled. "Considering that Sabrina's the True Hybrid, and Ariel and Faith are Nephilims, and Cas and Ava are Angels? No, Amara, it wouldn't be bad. And it's not bad that Aiden does."

Sam chuckled. "Yeah, and Dean, Catty, Ness and me? We've all been possessed by Demons, Angels... Ness has actually been a Demon. And you've been possessed by the Darkness. You wouldn't be an outsider, Amara. You would actually fit right in."

"Yeah," Dean agreed. "So, no, it wouldn't be bad, Mar. It's not bad for you or for Aiden. It's just be different. But we're all different."

Amara smiled.

§

Loughlin House - Outside

Sabrina, Ariel, Faith, Castiel and Octavia appeared outside next to the Witch servant that had helped Catrina and Boyd bring Gideon's body inside.

"Who's inside?" Castiel asked.

"You don't want to answer us?" Octavia asked. "Fine, Witch."

Castiel nodded. "Sabrina."

Sabrina sighed. "Finally. We get to save Amara and put monsters down."

Sabrina put her hand to the Witch's head, smiting him, killing him in a bright flash of white light.

More servant Witches ran closer, but Ariel, Faith, Octavia and Castiel smote them, killing them with flashes of bright white light.

"Monsters never learn, do they?" Ariel asked. They looked at her. "About not messing with the Winchesters."

"Nope," Faith answered. "Apparently not."

Octavia chuckled. "Come on."

Castiel nodded in agreement. "Let's get inside."

§

Inside - Foyer

Sabrina, Ariel, Faith, Octavia and Castiel walked in.

Sabrina sighed. "All right, we're in. As soon as we get the book, we kill the Witches, get home to cast the spell."

§

The Bunker - Outside

Amara had made her way outside, standing next to the Impala, having the trunk open. Sam, Catty, Dean and Ness walked toward her.

"Amara, come on," Catty told her. "You can't keep disappearing like that. Let's get you inside."

Amara was looking into the trunk, seeing the grenade launcher, smiling at the sight of it, picking it up.

Sam was exasperated but amused, taking the grenade launcher from her. "No!"

Amara looked sad and disappointed. "But..."

Sam put it back into the trunk, closing the arsenal.

Ness sighed. "God, you are just like Dean and Catty." Catty, Dean and Amara looked at Ness. "That's a good thing."

Dean and Amara nodded. "Oh."

Catty smiled. "Good. Let's get inside."

Amara was confused but amused. Sam, Catty, Dean and Ness brought her inside.

§

Loughlin House - Ritual Room

Catrina was inspecting a blue butterfly and pinning it into a collection case.

Ariel appeared behind Catrina, pushing her against the wall. Faith, Sabrina, Octavia and Castiel walked closer.

Catrina smirked, unsurprised that they all were there. "Boyd wanted to go after you, but I said, 'Why bother?' You're hunters. You'll hunt us down, right at our doorstep. Hot and... fresh like pizza."

Octavia smirked sarcastically. "Yes, well, we're not just hunters, Catrina."

Ariel nodded in agreement. "Pretty sure that the True Hybrid, two Angels and two Nephilims can kill you Witches very easily, and very quickly."

"So why don't you go to your grimoire and tell us how to break the memory spell?" Faith asked.

"We're not asking you again," Castiel told her.

Boyd walked into the room, trying to cast a spell on them. "Abi!"

Sabrina waved her hand to deflect the spell, making it throw Boyd back against the wall instead, making him fall. "Gotta do better than that."

Catrina started to chant a spell. Her butterflies started to flutter their wings, and a high pitched noise ringing through the air, making Castiel, Sabrina, Ariel, Faith and Octavia cover their ears in pain.

Catrina looked satisfied with herself, laughing, walking over to a table, picking up a long old looking box. "Boyd, you promised. Without Gideon, we are not a family."

"Well, you should've thought of that before you and Gideon went behind my back and pinata'd the accountant and went after Amara Winchester," Boyd replied. Catrina scoffed. "I told you to let it go."

Catrina put the box on a table with Gideon's body. "And let us be cheated by some sniveling, weak Human nothings?"

"Well, you got your brother killed," Ariel told her.

Catrina shrugged. "Mm, well, we..." She opened the box she just moved, revealing an Angel Blade. "Can bring him back."

Sabrina let out a scream and waves of energy that threw Catrina and Boyd through the air, making them hit the wall and fall to the floor. Octavia took out her Angel Sword, spinning it around, using telekinesis to throw Catrina into a mirror hanging behind her, making the glass shatter, throwing the Angel Sword through her chest, killing her. Faith appeared next to Boyd, putting her hand on his head to smite him, killing him, letting him fall. Ariel saw that Gideon, even though dead, since Catrina and Boyd had been trying to bring him back, was starting to move, appearing next to him, smiting him before he could fully come back from the dead, killing him again. Castiel sensed another Witch servant coming, turning to smite him before he could cast another spell.

Sabrina, Ariel and Faith turned to Castiel and Octavia, looking proud of the job well done, smiling. Castiel smiled a small smile. Octavia chuckled in amusement, picking up the grimoire.

"Can we go home now?" Faith asked.

Castiel nodded. "Yes."

Octavia held up the grimoire. "Let's go save Amara."

§

The Bunker - Library

Castiel, Sabrina, Octavia, Ariel and Faith had returned to the library to join Sam, Catty, Dean, Ness and Amara. Castiel and Octavia were doing the reversal spell with Amara next to them. There was a flash of purple light.

Aiden was watching from the floor with the bunny that Amara had found in the woods, smiling. "Bunny!"

The others all smiled at the cuteness.

"Hey, is that it?" Ariel asked.

Faith looked at them hopefully. "Is--is it done?"

Amara looked at Sam, Octavia, Dean, Ness, Catty, Castiel and Sabrina, gesturing to Ariel and Faith. "Who are the new girls?" Ariel and Faith looked horrified and heartbroken that Amara didn't recognize them. Sam and Octavia looked at them. Castiel frowned. Catty, Dean, Ness and Sabrina knew that Amara was messing them, smiling. Amara laughed. "Look at their faces. Oh, Ariel and Faith. Kind of like the time when I ate all Aiden's Halloween candy a few months back. Classic."

Ariel and Faith were relieved, laughing with Sabrina and Amara.

Sam shook his head, giving a half smile. "Not funny."

They all smiled.

"So, how you holding up after the spell?" Dean asked.

"That thing kicked my ass," Amara told them.

"You know, I gotta be honest I was actually, uh, a little jealous at first," Sabrina told her.

"Of what, the curse that nearly killed Amara?" Ariel asked.

"No," Sabrina answered. "Just, you know... some of the things we've done, we've had this weight for... forever. And with everything that you went through with the Darkness, it was tearing you up. And seeing it gone, uh..."

"You looked happy," Faith finished. "Actually happy."

"Huh," Amara told them. "Well, look, was it nice to drop our baggage? Yeah, maybe, well, probably. But it wasn't just the bad that got lost. I mean, it was everything. It was us, it was what we do, you know? All of it. So... that's what being happy looks like? I think I'll pass."

"Going through that..." Octavia trailed off. "It probably made the post trauma from being possessed by the Darkness... not so bad anymore. You can deal."

Castiel nodded. "Like you can finally move past it. Because you got to forget about it for a little while. And now you know there's a chance for you to be happier. Without losing everything you know."

They all smiled in relief at this.

"So you think you're gonna be okay?" Ariel asked. "I mean, as okay as you can be when you're living a life like the ones that we're living?"

"Yeah, I think so," Amara answered. "But I do wanna get more out there. You know, I wanna be out there with you guys more. Hunting, having fun, whatever."

"You--you actually want to have fun?" Faith asked.

Sabrina smiled. "I'm in."

Ariel and Faith spoke together, smiling. "Me, too."

Catty looked at Ness. "And you should go out there, too. I mean, there's a reason why there's daycares and babysitters for Aiden. We can all get closer that way."

Amara nodded. "And since our lives are all about hunting and saving innocents and killing monsters... I wanna do that with all of you."

"Not all the time though," Ness told her. "Just from time to time."

Dean nodded in agreement. "From time to time."

"I like the sound of it," Sam told them.

"I think we all do," Octavia told them.

They all smiled, nodding in agreement. Dean and Ness exchanged a look, nodding.

Ness pulled out a bracelet, showing Amara. "Then you're gonna need this."

"What is that?" Amara asked.

"A bracelet that Ness wanted to give to you whenever you wanted to start hunting for real," Dean answered. "That necklace Ness has? It was her mom's, and Bobby gave it to her when Ness started to hunt. We wanted to do something like that for you. The bracelet is something that she's had since forever, wearing it a lot. We want you to have it."

Ariel, Faith and Sabrina smiled. "Aw."

Dean took the bracelet, putting it on Amara. Amara smiled. Everyone smiled, chuckling.

(Song:) Bad Romance - Halestorm

Sabrina, Amara, Ariel and Faith were dancing around in the same place as before, having fun, while getting attention from boys, but they were ignoring them while they had fun, smiling. While they were dancing, there were flashes of Amnesia Amara.

Sabrina seemed content, her eyes closed, her hands to her head.

There was a flash of Amara waking up in the woods with the bunny.

Amara ran her hands through her hair as she danced, whirling her hair around freely.

There was a flash of Amara slapping the guy at the waffle house.

Ariel had her hands over her head, tilting her head back, waving out her hair.

There was a flash of Amara, Aiden, Sabrina, Ariel and Faith watching Scooby Doo.

Faith raised her arms in the air, spinning around, waving her hair as she danced.

There was a flash of the family in the woods, when Amara was smiling when she was told what they did for a living.

Sabrina, Amara, Ariel and Faith smiled, looking around, still dancing lively, having fun for a change.

At a table near the back, Sam, Octavia, Dean, Ness, Catty and Castiel were watching, smiling at the fact that their daughters were having fun for once.
