THEN

From 10.01 "Black", in the barn, Sam and Dean were tied to chairs. Cole was pacing in front of them.

"Who are you?" Sam asked.

From 10.02 "Reichenbach", outside the bar, Cole aimed a gun at Ness. "My name's Cole Trenton."

From 10.02 "Reichenbach", in the Trenton House, Young Cole ran down the stairs, kneeling next to Edward's body. Edward's throat was cut. Young Cole started to cry.

Cole: (voice over from 10.02 Reichenbach) "Nyack, New York, June 21, 2003."

Bobby stepped around the corner, holding a bloody knife. He looked regretful that the boy had to see this and lose his father.

Cole: (voice over from 10.02 Reichenbach) "That was the night your father gutted and murdered a man by the name of Edward Trenton. He was my father."

From 10.02 "Reichenbach", outside the bar, Ness plunged the First Blade into Sabrina's chest, making her gasp in pain and flash with light. Nothing else happened. Ness pulled the Blade out in shock. Sabrina seemed surprised herself. They all watched as the wound in her chest healed.

Cole watched them in shock. "What the hell are you people?"

"Sabrina's the True Hybrid," Ness answered. "And me?" She let her eyes turn black. "I'm a Demon."

From 3.09 "Malleus Maleficarum", in the Impala, Sam, Catty and Dean were posing a detectives.

"I hate Witches," Dean told them.

From 3.09 "Malleus Maleficarum", in the Dutton House's bathroom, Janet Dutton had blood dripping down from her chin, choking, turning to lean over the sink, spitting out teeth and blood.

From 3.09 "Malleus Maleficarum", in the Van Allen House, due to Elizabeth the Witches' spell, Tammi the Demon coughed blood and tacks into her hand.

Dean: (voice over from 3.09 Malleus Maleficarum) "They're always spewing their bodily fluids everywhere."

From 3.09 "Mallues Maleficarum", in Amanda Barnes' House, Amanda continued to look at the platter. The buzzing intensified. There were flies, maggots and worms crawling all over the rotting food.

Dean: (voice over from 3.09 Malleus Maleficarum) "You know, it's downright unsanitary."

From 10.03 "Soul Survivor", in the hotel room, the redheaded woman sat in front of a fire, reading a book. Two drops of blood dripped onto her arm. The woman looked up at the ceiling. Two men were pinned to the ceiling above her, dead and bleeding. The woman wiped the blood away. She smiled.

Sam: (voice over from 4.07 It's the Great Pumpkin, Sam Winchester) "We're talking heavyweight Witchcraft."

From 10.05 "Fan Fiction", outside the motel, Ness, Dean, Sam and Catty were standing next to the trunk of the Impala. Sabrina appeared behind Sam and Dean, startling them, making them jump.

Dean realized it was just Sabrina, sighing. "I thought you, Cas and Ava were dealing with Angels."

"Angel-smangel," Sabrina told them. "I'm so done dealing with them for right now."

Ness, Dean, Sam and Catty chuckled.

From 9.08 "Rock and a Hard Place", in the motel room, Sam, Catty and Jody were sitting at the table.

"Your own special little bonds," Jody told them. "Dean and Ness. Sam and Octavia. Catty and Castiel."

Sam nodded. "Yeah. It's something else, I'll give you that."

From 10.05 "Fan Fiction", outside the motel, Sabrina looked at Catty and Castiel. "They call you two 'Castalina'." She looked at Dean and Ness. "They call you guys 'Dess'." She looked at Sam and Octavia. "They call you two 'Samavia', or 'Sava', for short."

From 6.21 "Let It Bleed", in Bobby's House, Octavia looked at Catty. "Please do everyone a favor and stop pretending like you're not in love with Cas. It does no good, especially when your hearts are literally marked."

Catty smirked sarcastically. "You're one to talk, Ava."

"Hey, I'm an Angel just getting used to Human emotions," Octavia told her. "I wasn't supposed to feel anything by design. Cupid. I can see the mark by looking at you. Not just for you and Cas, but for Dean and Ness. Even me and Sam."

From 9.06 "Heaven Can't Wait", outside the motel, Catty, Castiel and Octavia were standing together.

Catty looked at Octavia. "Was that Sam on the phone? I saw some serious smiles coming from you. You know, I happen to know for a fact that he loves you for trying to keep all of us safe."

From 9.08 "Rock and a Hard Place", in the motel room, Sam, Catty and Jody were sitting at the table.

Catty looked at Jody. "Sam's girlfriend." She looked at Sam curiously. "Wait, is that right? Did you and Ava ever fully establish your status after she got back?"

From 9.21 "King of the Damned", in the clearing in the woods, Gadreel looked at Octavia. "I've seen you through Sam Winchester's eyes, and he trusts you. More than that. He's in love with you."

Octavia looked down.

From 9.22 "Stairway to Heaven", in Metatron's Office, Metatron looked at Gadreel. "Her true weakness is revealed. She's in love. With a man that she'd sacrifice everything for."

From 10.02 "Reichenbach", in Heaven's Prison, Metatron was inside his cell, in a straitjacket. "You're so in love with Sam Winchester that you don't realize that has complete control over every little thing that you do."

Octavia grabbed Metatron by the straitjacket through the bars of the jail cell in frustrated annoyance, smashing his head into the bars. "What part of 'It's my idea, not Sam's', did you not get? Listen to me, Cas. I'm not going to let him go. Oh, no, on the contrary." She looked at Metatron. "I was thinking of paying you periodical visits and breaking you down little by little until you are finally ready to give up the location of the rest of Cas' Grace."

From 10.03 "Soul Survivor", in Octavia's Camaro, Octavia was driving.

Castiel was sitting in the passenger seat. "You are right. I lied. I'm happy with Catty and Sabrina, when I can feel everything they feel. The love and the warmth I feel when I'm with them.... It's like nothing I've ever felt before. And I wouldn't give that feeling up for anything in the world. But I do want to protect them in a way that no one else can."

From 10.03 "Soul Survivor", outside the gas station, Adina tried to stab Octavia with her Angel Blade.

Sabrina caught her arm. "Why can't you people just sit on clouds and play harps like you're supposed to?" Sabrina took Adina by her jacket, pushing her into the gas station's window, making it shatter on impact. She looked at the Angel Blade in her hand, letting it go, using magic to levitate it in the air. Adina stood. Sabrina looked Adina, using magic to throw the Angel Blade into her heart, making her scream in pain, killing her, making her flash with bright white light. The body fell to the ground. "Aunt Ava, you weren't gonna kill her, because you felt guilty, but she wasn't going to stop until you were dead. If you hadn't been holding back, she would have already been dead."

Castiel looked at Octavia. "If you are so determined to go through with your plan to get my Grace back, then I wish I would still feel the way I do now. Be strong, but still have remorse, and... feelings."

From 10.06 "Ask Jeeves", in the LaCroix Mansion's kitchen, Sam, Catty and Dean ran in with guns raised. Ness grabbed the silver knife, holding it in both hands, raising it above her head, stabbing it down into Olivia's chest with more force than she had to, into her heart, killing her. Olivia gasped in surprise and pain. The life slowly drained away from her. Ness felt the rush of power from the kill again, feeling the darkness from the Mark, knowing that it had been pushing her to be more ruthless, trying to push her into becoming more of a killer, but she held it at bay, barely, breathing heavily, looking up at Sam, Catty and Dean with a dark look in her eyes. Sam, Catty and Dean slowly stepped closer warily. They put their guns away, still wary and concerned. Ness avoided their gazes, looking down.

Day One

Night - Alley

There was a drunk lying on the ground drinking out of a bottle in a brown paper bag.

A woman ran into the alley, turning a corner, coming to a stop. She looked behind her, seeing a shadow on the building across the street. She continued to run, breaking a heel on her boot, falling to the ground. "Ow!" She grabbed her broken heel, standing, continuing to run, turning another corner. A man dressed in black appeared in front of her. The woman stopped in fear. "Raul."

"You better think fast, Tiana, 'cause this looks bad," Raul told her.

"I'm sorry," Tiana told him. "I'll do anything. I'll come back. I'll make it up to you. Just please don't hurt me."

Raul stepped closer, tracing a finger over her lips. "Now... what kind of message would that send to the other girls, huh?" Tiana held her broken heel between her fingers like  spike, stabbing Raul in the eye with it, making him groan in pain, pulling it out. Raul pulled his hand away from his bleeding, destroyed eye, smiling. "Oh, Tiana, Tiana. I'd say I'm sorry to lose you, but..." He placed his hands on either of her cheeks. "There's plenty more where you came from."

Raul snapped Tiana's neck, killing her, letting her fall dead.

Day Two

Lebanon, Kansas

Morning - The Bunker - Catty and Castiel's Room

Catty was in the bathroom that was attached to the room, taking a bubble bath, her hair pulled back into a messy ponytail. Castiel was in the actual room, looking through research on the wall. There were photographs of faces pinned to the map. Some of them had 'X's through them.

Castiel pinned up another picture of a man, placing a large 'X' through his face with a red Sharpie marker. He turned to a laptop on the bed, searching for miracles. "It's getting easier." He clicked on the link, opening to  the page 'News WebNet' with the headline 'Local Pastor Christopher Sherman Works Miracles in His Parish'. "Isaac came back willingly. Didn't even resist. There are still some Angels down here, but the higher-profile rogues are back."

"And Sabrina and Ava's helping you round them up?" Catty asked.

"Yeah," Castiel answered. "We find them all. That's the mission." He went through more of the laptop links. "Here. Christoper Sherman, pastor. Local paper in Tennessee says he's working miracles in his parish. Figure of speech."

"Maybe," Catty told him.

Castiel looked at the pictures on the wall. "The best lead Octavia, Sabrina and I have." Catty looked toward him from the bath, smirking as if she got an idea. "Until we find something stronger, we should..." Catty stood in the tub, rinsing off the bubbles, not all concerned about Cas seeing her like this. Castiel was nonplussed. "Uh, check it out."

Catty smirked. "What? Nothing you haven't seen before, Cas."

Castiel tried to hide a small smile. "I know. It's just... after everything that happened... it's hard to believe that we still get to keep this, Catty."

Catty smiled, pulling a robe on, stepping out of the tub toward him. "Believe it." Castiel smiled a small smile. Catty smirked. "So, you, Ava and Sow are going to help Hannah with the Angels?"

"Yes," Castiel answered. "But, you, you're dealing with a job. Again."

Catty sighed, rolling her eyes, nodding. "Yes, again. Our hunter friend Rudy said that he came across a prostitute that was trying to get him to sign over his soul. He got the girl away, but he's trying to find another one for us so we can handle this, whatever this is."

"You sure you won't need help?" Castiel asked.

"No," Catty answered. "You know what, Cas? If the Angels are rounded up and taken to Heaven, they're not gonna be down here anymore, which means we don't have to worry about them anymore, which is a win-win for all of us. So, Sam, Dean, Ness and I will take care of the Demons this time around. You, Sabrina and Ava help Hannah deal with the Angels."

Castiel nodded sheepishly, looking as if he didn't want to go. "All right."

Castiel turned to get his trench coat.

Catty took his hands in hers. "Ah... but maybe a little parting gift for good luck?" Castiel looked confused but amused. Catty smiled, pulling him closer to kiss him. Castiel responded for a moment, pulling away only slightly, seeming thoughtful. "What? Cas?"

"I'm still getting used to Human emotions," Castiel answered. "I can feel it all, Catty. I can feel it so strong. The sound of Sabrina's laughter. Lyrics of a song. Movies and shows that you've gotten me to watch." Catty smirked, shrugging. "What I feel for you."

Catty smiled, tilting her head slightly. "If that's your way of saying those three little words... I love you, too." Castiel smiled. "You sure have a way with words, don't you, Clarence?"

"And I know who that is now," Castiel told her.

Catty smiled teasingly. "Finally."

Castiel raised his eyebrows, chuckling. "Finally?"

Catty smiled, nodding. "Yeah, finally."

§

Dean and Ness' Room

Ness was sitting on the bed, watching TV.

Dean walked in. "Hey."

"Hey," Ness told him, turning off the TV.

"You've been holed up here for a while," Dean told her. "You hungry or something?"

"No," Ness answered. "No, I--I'm good. Really."

Ness gazed off, standing to face him.

"But..." Dean trailed off.

Ness looked at him. "But I can't stop thinking about what happened. With Olivia."

"You did really good back there, with Olivia," Dean told her.

"The Mark was pushing me, Dean," Ness told him.

"I know," Dean told her. "I saw it. I saw it in your eyes. But you didn't lose yourself."

"It was my first kill since I've been back," Ness told him. "You know, the feeling, the rush of the kill and the darkness from the Mark and from the things that we hunt... Dean, the way that Olivia was talking about my dad, wanting to kill him... saying that killing his daughter would be the next best thing... it got to me. More than I like. More than I want to admit."

"It doesn't matter," Dean told her. "You keep this up, you're going to beat it." He took her right arm in his hand, sliding his hand down the Mark. "Until we get this thing off you." He slid his hand toward her hand, taking it, kissing her palm lightly. "You're stronger than this Mark, Ness. I know it. You should, too."

Ness looked at him for a moment. "You know what makes me feel like I'm going to be fine? What helps me keep control of this, and myself?" Dean looked at her wonderingly. Ness met his gaze, smiling a small smile. "You. You make me feel like everything's gonna be okay."

Dean smiled a small smile.

§

Sam's Room

Octavia was lying on her stomach on the bed.

Sam was gathering clothes in a bag for the hunt. "Sabrina's not too excited about being an Angel-duty again."

"Yeah, but Hannah asked me, Sabrina and Cas to meet her in a town a couple over," Octavia told him.

"More rogue Angels?" Sam asked.

Octavia nodded. "Yeah. There are still some that are still out for Sabrina and Cas. Even me. Hannah's hoping that we can dissipate them without violence."

Sam turned to face her. "Hannah's hoping for that, or are you hoping for that?"

Octavia sighed, shaking her head. "Does it matter?" She sighed, looking down. "You know, Angels are right about me, Sam. I might have killed so many of my own kind in self-defense, and to protect those I care about, but it doesn't make me any different than a murderer."

Sam walked closer. "Sure it does." Octavia didn't answer, sighing. Sam wouldn't go on until she looked at him. "Ava." Octavia looked up. "I don't call self-defense murder. And, some of those Angels are just any monster that I hunt. And you don't call what I do to the monsters I hunt murder, do you?"

"No," Octavia answered.

"All right, then," Sam told her. "Clear conscience, clear heart, clear mind. That's the kind of thinking that nearly got you killed until Sabrina saved you."

Octavia sat up. "True. But would you want me to go back to the way I was when I didn't care who I had to kill, no matter what the circumstance?"

"A, that was when Naomi was controlling you," Sam told her. "B, that's not who you are."

"Maybe," Octavia told him.

Sam tilted his head barely, giving her a halfhearted look. "Ava."

Octavia smiled. "You know, I really don't wanna think about this anymore, Sam."

"All right," Sam told her, sitting on the bed next to her. "I'll give you something else to think about."

(Song:) Take Me to Church - Hozier

Sam leaned closer to kiss Octavia, a hand on her cheek, pulling away after a moment.

Octavia smiled a small smile. "You know how to love a girl right." Sam smiled. "You know, I have had enough of people talking at me about how I feel. And about how you undoubtedly feel."

Sam smirked. "Is that so?"

"Mm-hmm," Octavia answered.

"Well, I guess that makes two of us," Sam told her.

Octavia sighed, shaking her head. "I've always thought that actions spoke louder than words. You couldn't let go of a hallucination of me when I was dead, Sam."

"And you gave up an entire army of Angels just to save this family, Ava," Sam told her.

Octavia nodded. "And a song in play regarding our lives made me realize that I never even said how I feel, to me, let alone you, of all things in the world." Sam chuckled, looking down. "But if they all need me to say it myself, then I will happily say it." Octavia slid closer, meeting his gaze. "I am in love with you, Sam Winchester."

Sam smiled, brushing a bit of her hair back. "And I think we all know how I felt about you before everything went to Hell. Literally." They looked at each other for a moment, smiling, kissing slowly and sweetly, building up passionately. He pulled away after a moment, looking wondering and longing. "I love you, Ava."

Octavia smiled.

§

Catty and Castiel's Room

Castiel kissed Catty deeply, pulling away after a moment. Catty smiled, wrapping her arms around his neck, kissing him. They pulled away, looking at each other for a moment, smiling. They kissed for another long moment. It became more passionate, more heated. Castiel slowly untied the sash on the robe around Catty, sliding it off. She slowly laid them down, rolling him onto the bed, looking down at him, smiling, kissing him for a long, sweet moment. They held their hands above his head on the bed, their fingers intertwining.

    §

Dean and Ness' Room

Ness had her back to Dean. Dean slowly pulled the straps of the tank top she was wearing off her shoulders, holding her by her shoulders and he pulled her closer, kissing her neck, trailing kisses along her skin. Ness closed her eyes, enjoying the pleasure from feeling like this, the way that he made her feel. She turned to face him, leaning closer to kiss him passionately. Dean pulled the tank top off the rest of the way, placing it aside. Ness took his hands, slowly backing away toward the bed, puling him lightly, slowly with her, keeping his gaze with hers. They laid down on the bed.

§

Sam's Room

Octavia kissed Sam slowly, sweetly but passionately, pulling his shirt over his head, letting it fall, lying down. Sam crawled closer, tracing every inch of her as they continued to kiss. She held a hand to his cheek and to his back to pull him closer. They sat up long enough for Sam to pull her shirt over her head and lay it down, lying down again. For a moment, they just looked at each other, both of them smiling slightly, breathing just a little heavily. She rolled over him, kissing him, straddling him, looking down at Sam. She ran a hand through her hair to pull it back, leaning closer to kiss him again.

(Song Ends)

§

Garage

Sabrina was waiting by Octavia's Camaro, leaning against it, arms crossed over her chest. Castiel and Octavia walked closer, obviously dressed again.

"Hey, Sow," Castiel told her.

"Hi," Sabrina told them. "You guys do know that you take forever, right?"

"We were... busy," Octavia told her. "Cas with Catty. Me with Sam."

Sabrina nodded, confused, not getting it. "Clearly."

Octavia smiled a small smile, shaking her head. "You're so lucky you're so innocent." Sabrina looked t them in confusion. Octavia looked from her to Castiel, eager to change the subject. "Anyway, I was thinking that you guys could stay here with Sam, Dean, Catty and Ness. Help them with their job. Hannah and I can deal with the Angels."

"I know you're trying to protect me, Ava," Castiel told her. "But I'm not going to sit out of this just because I'm less than... operable. I can still be of use to get through to these Angels."

"And I don't doubt it, Cas," Octavia told him. "I just want you to be safe."

"He will be safe, and so will you," Sabrina told her. "I'll be with you guys. You know, in case you get an attack of conscience in a fight again and nearly get yourself killed, Aunt Ava. Again."

Octavia gave her a look, tilting her head. "Sabrina." Sabrina and Castiel raised their eyebrows expectantly. Octavia sighed, giving in. "Fine. Let's go."

Sabrina smirked, turning to the the car.

§

Motel Room

Dean and a girl were sitting on opposite corners of the motel bed, backs to each other.

A man walked in. "How we doing? Everybody ready for a good time?" He walked further into the room, pulling a blue paper out of his jacket pocket. "Okay. John Hancock right here. Then we can get this party started." Dean stood, facing the man. Sam, Catty and Ness walked into view, standing next to Dean. Catty was holding her Demon Knife. Ness was holding an Angel Blade. "Winchesters."

Sam, Catty, Ness and Dean looked up toward the ceiling. The man followed their gazes to a red Devil's Trap painted on the ceiling over his head.

"She told us everything," Dean told him.

"Abduction, forced prostitution," Sam told him. "It's pretty gnarly, even for a Demon."

"She's got her version, I've got mine," the Demon told them.

"Liar," the girl told him.

"Shaylene, let us handle this," Ness told her.

Dean looked at the Demon sarcastically. "Let me guess. She came to you begging for you to pimp her out."

"Yeah, 'cause that Harvard degree was working out so well for her," the Demon told them sarcastically.

"How many girls are there, hmm?" Catty asked. "How big is this?"

"Just me and Shay," the Demon told them.

"He's lying," Shaylene told them. "There's a brothel. I heard him on the phone. They told me what you are. A Demon from Hell."

"Beats trash from the street," the Demon told her. "Face it, missy. With me, you would've been dead of drugs or worse in a year. Frankly, this little ho should be thanking me."

Shaylene grabbed the Angel Blade from Ness, jumping up from the bed to stab the Demon in the chest, killing him, making him flash with bright light.

"Whoa," Dean told them.

Shaylene took the blade out, letting the body fall.

"Okay," Ness told them. "Well, that just happened."

"Yeah, and he was our best shot at the location of the brothel," Sam told them. He looked at Shaylene. "Do you have any idea where it is?"

"No," Shaylene answered. "But, um..." She walked toward the Demon, reaching into his jacket pocket, pulling out a business card, handing it to Dean. "I saw him give these out at the bars."

Sam, Catty, Ness and Dean read the business card.

Raul's Girls

1482 Willis Blvd.

§

Raul's Bar

A man was holding a skimpy outfit in his hand, looking at a brunette girl sitting in a chair in front of him. "What did you say?"

"I said, 'If you like it so much, why don't you wear it?'" the girl answered.

Raul walked in, wearing an eye patch.

"She won't wear the clothes you picked," the man told him. "What should I do?"

"Gerald, what do you think?" Raul asked. "Don't leave any marks."

Gerald turned to the girl, smiling creepily. The redheaded woman from the end of 10.03 Soul Survivor walked in.

"Hey, lady, I think you're in the wrong place," Gerald told her.

The woman spoke with a Scottish accent. "This is Raul's Girls, isn't it? Clever name, by the way."

"Sorry, but we're not hiring at the moment," Raul told her. "And, no offense, but even if we were, you're a little... old. Unless you're here as a customer."

"No disrespect to your girls, but I'd sooner die than do business of any kind with filth like you," the woman told them, towing a Hex Bag with red markings to Raul.

Raul caught it, seeming to recognize it. "You."

Raul started to gasp and groan, black goo pouring out of his mouth. He collapsed to the floor. A blonde girl walked in from the other side of the bar, standing behind the brunette girl.

Gerald looked at Raul. "Boss?"

"Ladies, you my want to stand back," the woman told them. "This will get messy." Gerald vacated his host's body, fleeing through the air vent, leaving. Raul continued to vomit black goo on the floor. He fell to his back, convulsing, the life fading away from him as he died. The woman looked at the girls. "Hardly the most appetizing process in the world, but killing Demons always makes me hungry." She turned to leave, stopping, looking over her shoulder toward the girls. "You coming? I mean, you're welcome to stay here." The girls looked at each other nervously, nodding, grabbing their jackets, walking out, leaving. The woman smiled, following them. "Fabulous!"

§

Hotel Lobby

Hannah was checking out of the hotel.

"I hope you enjoyed your stay," the manager told her.

Hannah smiled kindly. "Yes, thank you."

Hannah turned to leave.

A man approached her. "Caroline."

Hannah looked at him in recognition, not knowing what to do. "Uh..."

"I--I put an alert on your credit card," the man told her. "Saw you charge here. I drove all night. Caroline, you've been gone a year. Disappeared."

"Can we not talk about this here?" Hannah asked. "Somewhere else? Please?"

§

Park

Hannah and the man walked along the sidewalk.

"I don't know what's happened to you," the man told her. "I don't know who's gotten into your head, but something's going on, and I'm not walking away till I know what."

"Well, there is a reason," Hannah told him. "An answer for all of this."

"Th--then tell me," the man told her.

"I can't," Hannah told him. "You wouldn't understand."

"Then I'm not going anywhere," the man told her.

Sabrina, Castiel and Octavia approached.

"Sabrina," Hannah told her. "Castiel. Octavia. This is Joe. My husband."

Sabrina looked at her in confusion. "Oh?" She realized she meant her vessel's husband. "Oh."

"Who are these guys?" Joe asked.

"They're, um... friends of mine," Hannah answered. "I am really sorry, Joe. I just had a bad run of luck. But..." She seemed to get an idea. "But I will explain everything to you, if you just give me the time, later. Please. I will come back to you. I promise."

Joe nodded barely. Sabrina, Castiel and Octavia were confused on what Hannah planned to do.

§

Raul's Girls' Bar

Ness, Sam, Catty and Dean walked in to see Raul's dead body lying on the floor in the middle of the black goo, and Gerald's former host's dead body lying nearby.

"Can't believe somebody got to kill this Raul tool before we could," Dean told them. "Check IDs."

"All right," Ness told them, kneeling down by the bodies, checking. "Uh, guys, from the look, and... smell of it, pure Demon. I think this is Raul."

"What?" Catty asked. "Did he puke himself to death?"

"Yeah," Ness answered. "Literally."

"Okay, so..." Sam trailed off. "Something went down here. There was a standoff. One Demon smokes out, and Raul... what can even kill a Demon like this?"

Ness reached by Raul's hand, picking up the Hex Bag. "A Witch."

Sam, Catty and Dean exchanged a look of annoyance.

§

Bistro des Moules (Fancy Restaurant)

(Song:) Toi Et Moi - Pamela Clay

The Witch and the girls were sitting at a table.

"Uh, ma'am, why are we here?" the blonde girl asked.

"I thought you'd be hungry," the Witch answered. "I doubt that swing Raul fed you properly."

"Yeah, but..." the brunette girl asked. "We don't belong here."

A waiter walked up to the table. "Apologies for the interruption, ma'am."

The Witch smirked in annoyance. "That word again."

"But I'm afraid that the Bistro des Moules has a very strict dress code, a sartorial standard certain members of your party fall well short of," the waiter told her, glancing at the two girls.

"Now can we go?" the brunette asked.

"Stay in your seats," the Witch told them. "We're not going anywhere."

The Witch turned to reach into her bag.

"Excuse me?" the waiter asked.

"You heard me," the Witch told him, pulling out a small Hex Bag, putting it in the waiter's hand. "Famalatus."

§

Later

A line of waiters were coming to the table with plates of food and drinks.

"A Krug '95, an excellent vintage," the waiter told them. "With our compliments, of course."

"This is awesome," the blonde girl told them.

The brunette girl looked at the Witch. "How did you do it?"

The Witch smiled. "Magic."

§

Hell - Throne Room

Crowley was sitting in his throne. "Gerald..." He stood, walking toward 'Gerald', who was now in a construction worker's vessel. "A bordello? You opened a whorehouse in my name?"

"Well, technically, the place was called Raul's Girls, but.. yes," Gerald answered. "Look, Raul said that--"

"Oh, Raul said?" Crowley repeated.

"Your decree last month, soul deals way down after the war with Abaddon," Gerald told him. "Said that you were looking for proactive and out-of-the-box strategies to get numbers back up."

"So, you and your halfwit pal threw me into the sex trade?" Crowley asked. "I'm evil. That's just tacky."

"We tried running it past you, but we were told you weren't taking meetings, that you were distracted," Gerald told him. Crowley gave him a look. "I mean, busy. Look, this Witch took Raul down like that. Whole operation, kaput. I smoked out."

"Ran away," Crowley told him.

Gerald nodded in shame. "Possessed the nearest meatsuit I could find."

"Apparently so," Crowley told him.

"Because I thought that you should know what happened," Gerald told him. "Act of aggression like that didn't seem like something you could let stand."

Crowley rolled his eyes. "Hmm."

§

On the Road - The Impala

Dean was driving. Sam was in the passenger seat. Catty and Ness were in the backseat.

Ness was on her laptop to a page 'Witchcraft and the Occult... To Bind and Purge'. "Here we go. Um, so it looks like in the 18th century, there were accounts of Demons killed by Witchcraft. Apparently, they were vanquished by a spell called defigere et depurgare, which is Latin for 'to bind and purge'."

"You think that's the same kind of spell that took out Raul?" Catty asked.

"Sounds like it," Ness answered. "But from what I can tell, that spell hasn't been used in over 300 years. And it was only ever known by one person, the Witch who created it."

"That is?" Sam asked.

Ness read the name from the page. "Rowena."

Bistro de Moules

(Song:) Danse D'amour - Pamela Clay

The Witch (revealed to be Rowena) and the two girls were still sitting at their table.

"According to the Grand Coven, there are three recognized kinds of Witches in the world," Rowena told them. "Most common are the borrowers. Those who harness the power of a Demon in order to practice the art. Owing to recent experience, I doubt you'd have the stomach for that. Secondly, and rarest of all, are the naturals. Those who are... born with the gift."

"You're one of those," the blonde girl told her.

"Well, you are correct," Rowena answered.

"And what's the third?" the brunette girl asked.

"The students," Rowena answered. "Those with no natural ability who, with enough practice and training and a Grand-Coven approved mentor to show them the path, can eke out a modicum of Witchly power."

"Will... you be our mentor?" the blonde girl asked.

"Well... I'm about as far from Grand-Coven approved as it's possible to be," Rowena told them. "They threw me out many years ago. Disapproved of my methods. Said my magic was too extreme. I was forbidden from using magic, from taking students, from forming a coven. I've been on the run from those utter fannies ever since."

"So, you can't teach us?" the brunette girl asked.

"Screw the Grand Coven and their silly rules," Rowena told them. "You two stick with me, and you can have anything, do anything you want, whenever you want."

"When do we start?" the blonde girl asked.

The waiter was walking over with two plates, starting to stumble, looking confused.

"Soon, but not here," Rowena answered. The waiter started to sweat. His eyes and head were turning red. He dropped the plates, making them shatter. People in the restaurant turned to look. "Whoops. I believe that's our cue."

Rowena and the girls stood to leave. The waiter's head was now bright red and peeling. He fell to the floor.

"Did you do that?" the brunette girl asked.

"Oh, he'll be fine," Rowena told them. "Worker's comp and all that. Are you coming?"

They walked out, leaving.

Warehouse

A Demon was tied to a chair over a Devil's Trap. "I'm not afraid. 'Cause you're a noob." Holy Water was thrown onto him, making his skin burn, sizzle and smoke, making him hiss in pain. He started to laugh. "I'm your first. That's why you're drawing this out. 'Cause you're studying me. You're training." More Holy Water was thrown onto him, making him burn and groan in pain. "It's gonna take a lot more than that to make me talk."

Cole was the one torturing him. "Boy, you will talk. You will talk, and you will tell me everything you know about your buddy Ness Singer-Winchester and her little niece Sabrina Winchester."

§

Park

Sabrina, Castiel, Octavia and Hannah were walking.

"Dispersing the Angels and asking them to return to Heaven was... easier than I had thought it would be," Castiel told them. "I was expecting them to put up more of a fight, but I was hoping that we would have an outcome like this. That no death would be required. I know that's ironic, coming from me, but what happened, what I was, that's not who I am."

"We know that, Dad," Sabrina told him.

Octavia turned to face them, making them stop. "The question is, who are you, Hannah? Who do you want to be?" Hannah looked confused. "I saw you, earlier, talking to Joe. It was like he was the thing that would set you free."

"I took my vessel, Caroline, from that man," Hannah told them. "I know that what we've done was necessary, but why does it feel so bad?"

"I had to take my vessel from his family," Castiel told them. "Twice, actually."

Flashback - 4.20 "The Rapture"

Night - Novak House - Outside

A bright beam of light shone down on Jimmy.

Castiel: (voice over) "Jimmy Novak."

Jimmy looked up into the light.

Castiel: (voice over) "He was a good man."

The light disappeared.

Castiel: (voice over) "He was married to a woman named Amelia."

Jimmy lifted a hand, looking it over.

Castiel: (voice over) "Had a daughter."

The front door of Jimmy's house opened behind him.

Castiel: (voice over) "Claire."

Claire walked outside. "Daddy?"

Now

Day - Park

Sabrina, Castiel, Octavia and Hannah were still standing together.

"I'm sorry," Hannah told them. "I can't go on. I'm done." They walked along. "It's hard letting go... of a story, a mission. But what of the Humans whose lives we sacrifice in the name of that mission? We always said the Humans were our original mission. Maybe it's time. Time to put them first."

"Where is all this coming from?" Sabrina asked.

"Being on Earth, working with you, I've felt things," Hannah told them. "Human things. Compassion, hungers. To shower, feel water on my skin. But all of that was nothing compared to what I felt when I saw him. Her husband. His anger and his grief. And Caroline was inside of me, screaming out for him, for her life back. These f--feelings, they're aren't for me, for us. They belong to her. I know it's time to step aside." She smiled. "Goodbye."

Octavia nodded. Hannah leaned her head back, her Grace leaving Caroline's body, rising into the air. Caroline's body started to fall. Sabrina, Castiel and Octavia held her standing for a moment until Caroline was able to stand on her own. Caroline looked at her hands for a moment, from Sabrina to Castiel to Octavia, slightly confused.

"Caroline, I'm--" Sabrina started.

"Sabrina," Caroline finished. "And you're Castiel and Octavia. I know."

Caroline looked over herself, smiling and laughing in relief, placing her hands on her stomach, as if feeling her body, relieved and ecstatic to have her life back. Sabrina, Castiel and Octavia exchanged a small smile.

Bistro de Moules

Sam and Dean were posing as FBI, talking to a waiter.

"Middle of my shift, there's Marty falling down, clutching his head, stroking out right there on the floor, sweating, turning red, like..." the waiter trailed off. "Like..."

"Like his brains were boiling?" Sam finished. "Was there anything else unusual?"

"More unusual than our head waiter dropping dead in front of me?" the waiter asked.

"Before that," Sam answered.

"I don't know," the waiter told them. "I mean, I thought getting two hookers in here was pretty damn unusual, but that was before Marty keeled over."

"Uh, two hookers?" Dean asked.

"Based on what they were wearing, yeah," the waiter answered.

"Where they alone?" Dean asked.

"No," the waiter answered. "Came in with a lady."

Sam nodded. "Thank you for your time."

§

Outside

Catty and Ness were sitting outside, in normal clothes.

Catty was on the phone. "No, that is strange. All right, I hear you. Thank you."

Catty hung up. Sam and Dean walked toward them.

"Hey," Ness told them.

"So, it looks like our Witch was here with two new friends," Dean told them.

"Really?" Ness asked. "Raul's girls?" Sam nodded. "What does she want with them?"

"I don't know," Sam told them. "What'd you get from the hunter network?"

"This guy Darrell's been working a case, a series of grisly hotel murders," Catty explained. "One at the Kensington, another at the Waldorf in Cleveland. Bodies stabbed, impaled on the ceiling."

"Sounds a little more homicidal maniac than Witchy," Dean told them.

"That's what Darrell thought, too, until the autopsy came back," Catty told them. "Actual cause of death--"

"Let me guess," Ness told her. "Boiled brains."

"Yeah," Catty answered. "Same as our waiter."

"Well, I'll give this to the Witch," Dean told them. "She's got deep pockets. The Kensington, the Waldorf, this restaurant. That can't be cheap."

"Yeah, let's go," Ness told them, standing.

Catty stood.

"Where we going?" Sam asked.

"Check out every five-star hotel in the area," Ness answered.

Dean, Sam and Catty nodded. "Oh."

Hotel Room

Rowena and the girls were gathered. There was a knock on the door.

Rowena looked at the girls. "Okay. You two ready for some practice?"

"Who is it?" the brunette girl asked.

"Probably the hotel manager, probably here to complain that I haven't paid the bill," Rowena told them. "You have those spells I gave you?"

"Yeah, about that?" the blond girl asked. "I don't read Spanish."

"It's Latin," Rowena told her. "Phonetics are on the back, Elle."

Elle looked puzzled. "'Phonetics'."

Rowena walked toward the door, looking through the peep hole to see a bellman on the other side. "Get ready. And on my word."

Rowena opened the door. The bellman had his throat slit. He fell to the floor, dead. Elle and the other girl were scared. A man and a woman walked in, their eyes turning black.

§

Hallway

The Demons led Rowena, Elle and the other girl down the hallway. Rowena had duct tape over her mouth.

The female Demon looked at Rowena. "You're in for a world of hurt when we deliver you to our boss."

"What about us?" the girl asked. "I'm not going back to that place."

The female Demon looked Elle and the girl. "Operation skank has been terminated. The only place you two are going is the dumpster out back."

The female Demon turned forward to see Catty, Ness, Sam and Dean. Catty stabbed the female Demon in the chest with her Demon Knife, killing her, making her flash with red, taking it out, letting the body fall. Rowena, Elle and the girl ran to the end of the hallway. Elle undid the ropes tying Rowena. The girl took off the gag.

Catty tried to stab the male Demon in the chest with her knife. The Demon caught her arm, throwing her down the hallway after the others, making her fall to the floor. He turned to face Sam, trying to punch him. Sam raised an arm to block the move, kneeing him in the stomach. The Demon punched him in the face hard enough to make him fall to the floor. Dean came up from behind the Demon, stabbing him in the back with his Angel Blade, killing him, making him flash with bright light, taking it out, letting the body fall. Catty stood. Catty and Ness walked toward Rowena, Elle and the girl.

"Who are those guys?" Elle asked.

"Hunters," Rowena answered.

"Let's get out of here," Elle told them, turning toward a door.

"That's not an exit," Rowena told them.

Ness looked at Elle and the girl. "Don't worry, ladies. Our beef's not with you. We're here for the Witch. Rowena."

Rowena smiled. "Always nice to be recognized."

"Do something," Elle told her. "A spell."

Rowena looked at Elle. "That's an excellent idea." She put a Hex Bag in her hand. "Impets bestiarum."

Rowena started to lead the girl away. Elle was in excruciating pain, screaming.

"What did you do to her?" Catty asked.

Rowena chuckled. Elle looked up with bloodshot eyes and a bleeding eyes, growling animalistically, punching Catty in the face, grabbing Ness, throwing her into Dean, making them both fall, backhand punching Sam in the face. Rowena and the girl got away, leaving. Dean, Sam and Catty looked at Elle.

Dean looked at Ness. "Go! Go!"

Ness ran after Rowena and the girl.

§

Outside - Alley

The girl and Rowena stopped running in an alley.

"What'd you do?" the girl asked. "What did you do to her?"

"Attack dog spell," Rowena answered. "We needed a decoy."

"But... but she'll die, just like the waiter," the girl told her.

Rowena nodded. "Probably. Few Humans are built to survive magic like that, and Elle was weak. But you're not. I saw it the second we met. You're strong."

"You're right," the girl told her. "I am."

The girl punched Rowena in the face, running out of the alley.

Rowena lifted her head, pointing toward the girl. "Occideris ingrat--"

Ness arrived behind her, aiming her gun at the back of Rowena's head. "Not another word." Rowena turned to face her. "Lady, your luck has just ran out."

Rowena looked behind Ness, laughing. "I'm pretty sure that's not true."

They heard a whistle.

Ness turned her head to look over her shoulder, to see Cole had a gun aimed at Ness. "Pal, we got to work on your timing."

"Drop the gun, Nessie," Cole told her.

"All right, she may not look like much, but letting this one go?" Ness asked. "Big mistake."

Cole nodded sarcastically. "Uh-huh."

Rowena looked at Ness smugly. "You heard the boy."

Ness sighed, closing her eyes, reluctantly dropping the gun to the ground. Rowena smirked, walking away, leaving.

Ness turned to face Cole. "Look, man, I am sorry about the last time we met, okay? I'm sorry about a lot of things. I'm not the same person that I was."

"You're not a person at all," Cole told her. "See, I know all about your kind now."

"My kind?" Ness repeated. "Listen--"

"You're a monster," Cole told her, trying to shoot her.

Ness grabbed Cole's hands to control the gun, aiming it away into the sky for the shot to fire away. She took the gun from him, throwing it aside. She looked at Cole. "I'm not a Demon anymore."

Cole took out a flask of Holy Water. "We'll see about that."

Cole splashed Ness in the face with Holy Water. Ness looked away in annoyance. Cole looked at her in confusion.

Ness wiped the water away. "I told you. I'm not the person I was when we met."

"Was your father a Demon?" Cole asked.

"No," Ness answered. "He was a hunter. I'm a hunter."

"Hunter?" Cole repeated.

Ness nodded. "Like what you're trying to turn yourself into. We hunt Demons and monsters." Cole looked at her skeptically. "Now, I'm gonna clean this mess up once and for all. You're gonna give me five minutes, and we're gonna talk. After that, if you don't like what you hear..." Ness held her hands in a harmless gesture, kneeling to the ground to pick up her gun, standing, handing it to Cole. "You still want me dead, you take your shot."

Cole took the gun, aiming it at Ness.

Hotel - Hallway

Sam, Dean and Catty managed to push Elle into the supply closet, slamming the door closed, all of them leaning against it to keep her from getting out.

"What the hell kind of spell gives a Human super strength?" Catty asked.

"I don't know, Catty," Dean told her. "Why don't you ask Rowena the next time we see her?"

Elle continued to bang against the door. "Let! Me! Out!"

"Look, whatever she did to you, you have to fight it," Sam told her.

"I... can't!" Elle told them, screaming.

Sam, Dean and Catty struggled to keep the door closed. The banging stopped. Sam, Dean and Catty exchanged a confused look, turning to face the door. Catty and Dean raised their guns toward the door, nodding to Sam. Sam opened the door. Catty and Dean aimed their guns at Elle on the other side. Elle's eyes were bleeding. She was really pale. She looked to be dead as she fell to the floor. Catty knelt next to her body, feeling for a pulse. She looked up at Sam and Dean, shaking her head. Sam and Dean sighed.

Outside - Alley

Cole was still aiming a gun at Ness.

"I went through a storage unit of my dad's old stuff recently," Ness told him. "And I found a journal of his from way back in the day. It had secrets in there that I didn't even know he had. And he wrote about your father. Your dad, Cole... your dad was a monster. My dad was working a case. Three dead, livers ripped out and eaten by your father."

"Livers?" Cole repeated.

"Yeah," Ness answered. "My dad tracked him down that night to your house."

"Well, you say he was a monster," Cole told her. "What kind of monster was he?"

"I don't know," Ness told him. "The journal never said. All I know is that your dad came home that night looking to kill. Could've been you. Could've been your mom."

Cole shook his head in denial. "No."

"The only reason that didn't happen is because my father was there to stop him," Ness told him.

"I heard his voice," Cole told her. "It was a Human voice, and he begged your father to stop."

"It's a ploy," Ness told him. "It's a monster's trick. I know what you heard, but know this. That was not your father, Cole. Your father was already gone." She looked behind him to see Dean behind Cole with a gun aimed at him. "Put it down. Dean, put it down." Cole turned to see Dean, aiming Ness' gun at Ness. "Cole, it's fine."

"Ness?" Dean asked.

"Put it down, Dean," Ness told him. Dean looked her. Ness barely nodded. Dean lowered his gun. Sam and Catty walked closer cautiously. Cole turned to Ness. "Cole, hey, right here. We're talking, okay?"

"How can I believe you, huh?" Cole asked. He raised his voice to a demanding yell. "How can I believe you?" He lowered his voice. "My whole life, I've been..."

"I get it," Ness told him. "That was your story. Look, man, I got one of those, too. Okay, but those stories that we tell to keep us going? Man, sometimes they blind us. They take us to dark places. The kind of place where I might beat the crap out of a good man just for the fun of it. The people who love me, they pulled me back from that edge. Cole, once you touch that darkness... it never goes away." She looked at Dean, sighing. "Now, the truth is..." She looked at Cole. "I'm past saving. I know how my story ends. It's at the edge of a blade or the barrel of a gun. So, the question is, is that gonna be today? That gonna be that gun?"

"You've got a family, Cole," Sam told him. They looked at him. "I'm guessing they need you to come back, and they need you to come back whole."

Cole hesitating, sighing, holding Ness' gun by the barrel, holding it toward Ness. Ness took it, nodding barely. Sam, Catty, Dean and Ness looked at each other somberly. Cole had tears in his eyes.

Night - House - Outside

Caroline stood at the door to her home. Joe opened the door. They looked at each other for a moment.

"I'm..." Caroline trailed off.

"Hi," Joe told her.

"Hi," Caroline told him.

Joe and Caroline embraced, walking inside the house, closing the door behind them. Castiel, Sabrina and Octavia were standing across the street next to Octavia's Camaro.

Sabrina looked at Octavia, thoughtfully moved by what had just happened. "What can you tell us about your vessel, Aunt Ava?"

"Her name had been Alyssa," Octavia answered. "Alyssa Rhodes."

§

Flashback

Night - House - Cellar

Alyssa was sitting on the floor, filthy, not in much clothing, scared, in tears.

Octavia: (voice over) "She hadn't had much of a life. Her father kept her locked in a cellar for his own... entertainment."

Alyssa was standing by the door now, seeing a piece of long, sharp wire in the door, pulling at it and pulling at it to try to get it out. She finally did.

Octavia: (voice over) "She was about to kill herself when I found her."

Alyssa was sitting down once again. She had been cutting into her wrists with the wire. They were damaged and bleeding profusely. She was about to stab herself in the throat with the wire. A soft light appeared and illuminated Alyssa from above. Faint whispers could be heard.

Alyssa looked up, appearing to be listening. "Yes, I understand. Anything to get me out of here. Anything to stop this pain. Yes. Please, yes."

A bright beam of light shone down on Alyssa. Alyssa looked up into the light. The light disappeared.

Alyssa lifted her hands, looking at her bleeding wrists, watching them as they healed, revealing she was now possessed by Octavia. She stood, walking toward the door, holding a hand toward it, using magic to bust it down. She walked out, leaving.

Now

Night - House - Outside

Castiel, Sabrina and Octavia were still standing next to Octavia's Camaro.

Sabrina looked at Octavia. "So, you saved her."

"I put her through death, Sabrina," Octavia told her. "Twice. She may be in Heaven now, but it doesn't make it any easier."

Castiel seemed to agree. "Our kind has taken so much from Humanity when we were designed to protect it. I've tried to make up for the wrong I've done to the Angels. But what have I done to make up for the wrong I've done to Humans?"

"What are you talking about?" Sabrina asked.

"The family that I took Jimmy away from," Castiel answered. "I want to try to make it right."

Octavia sighed, shaking her head. "Cas, that won't be as easy as you think. Jimmy is dead, too. He died when you died. He's in Heaven now. You can't give that family back what they lost."

"How are you going to make it right?" Sabrina asked.

"I don't know," Castiel told them. "But I have to try."

Sabrina and Octavia looked at each other, knowing they wouldn't be able to change his mind, sighing.

Hotel - Outside - Alley

Cole drove away in his Jeep, leaving. Sam, Catty, Dean and Ness watched him go.

"He say where he's going?" Catty asked.

"Home," Ness answered.

"Rowena?" Sam asked.

"In the wind," Ness answered.

Sam and Catty nodded, walking toward the Impala, getting inside. Dean and Ness followed more slowly.

Dean looked at Ness. "What you said earlier, back there, about being past saving... were you really--"

Ness shook her head. "I was just telling the guy what he needed to hear." She turned to face Dean. "I'm not giving up, Dean. I have you to think of. I have you to fight for. I've died six times. You were there with me for most of them. I mean, hell, you and I died together when we got caught in the Levi explosion that sent us and Cas to Purgatory. You had to watch me die five other times. You held me in your arms for four of them. And then the times that I disappeared, like Purgatory, and when I turned into a Demon. Whatever happens, I can't make you go through that again, Dean."

Dean obviously touched and relieved, stepping closer. "I know."

Dean and Ness smiled small smiles, wrapping their arms around each other, standing there in the embrace for several moments. Ness leaned her head against his shoulder, closing her eyes.

Hell - Hallway

Crowley and Gerald walked down a staircase, approaching a cell door.

"Winchesters showed up," Gerald told him. "Alpha team went down. But Beta team's working contingency. Had a perimeter around the hotel. We got her. Right in there. Tortured." He smiled. "If you'd like, I could finish her off."

"Wipe that ridiculous smile off your face," Crowley told him. "What do you want, a medal? A 'thank you' for cleaning up the mess you made?" Gerald walked away, leaving. "Everyone working for me touched? Bunch of needy, squalling, incompetent infants."

§

Cell

Crowley walked in, closing the door behind him.

Rowena was chained to a wall, her face cut and bruised. She looked at Crowley in amusement. "The King at last. King of what? Lilliput? I mean, I'd heard you were short, but..." She laughed. "Well? Get to it. Time for the coup de grace. Wee boy, is something the matter with you? Cat got your tongue, hmm? Meow."

Crowley was in shock. "Mother?"
