THEN
10.01 "Black", in the Crossroads, the Crossroads Demon was chained to the tree with her arms above her head. She was being tortured, bleeding.
Dean was holding Catty's Knife. "Where's my wife?"
"I don't know!" the Crossroads Demon told him.
From 10.01 "Black", in the Bunker, in Dean and Ness' room, Dean walked in from the night out, turning on the light. He found a note on the bed, walking closer, picking it up, reading. LET ME GO. Dean walked toward the dresser, picking up Ness' Necklace.
From 10.01 "Black", outside of the first bar, Octavia was posing as FBI. "Hannah."
"Octavia," Hannah told her.
"What's wrong with Heaven?" Octavia asked.
"There's no leader," Hannah answered.
"And Metatron?" Octavia asked.
"Still in jail," Hannah answered.
From 10.01 "Black", at the bonfire party, Ness used the bottle she was drinking from to smash the glass over the man's head, making him fall to the ground. She started to punch the man, kicking and kneeing, until he was a bleeding mess, until he was barely alive.
Crowley: (voice over from 10.01 Black) "Your wife is very much alive, thanks to the Mark."
From 10.01 "Black", in the cornfield, The Demon turned to face her just as Ness drove the First Blade into his stomach, killing him with a flash of light.
Crowley: (voice over from 10.01 Black) "The Mark needs to be sated."
From 9.23 "Do You Believe In Miracles?", the Bunker, in Dean and Ness' room, Ness' body was lying in the bed, clean of all of the blood, but was still severely beat and broken. She opened her completely black, Demon eyes.
Ness: (voice over from 10.01 Black) "Otherwise, I turn into a Demon."
From 10.01 "Black", Dean and Crowley's phone call (outside the gas station and outside the Black Spur)
"You know what tickles me about all this?" Crowley asked. "It's what's really eating you up. You don't care that she's a Demon. No, it's that she's having the time of her life. You can't stand the fact that she's mine."
Dean was very angry at this. "I am going to find you. I am going to save my wife."
From 10.01 "Black", in the Black Spur, Ness and Crowley sat at the bar.
"I'm the King of the Hell," Crowley told her. "You're now officially a Knight of Hell. Every King needs a Queen. Together we rule. Together, we create the perfect Hell."
"You want me to move the party into Catty Winchester, my sister-in-law's body," Ness told him. "Pass. You want to move your party into Cas, the love of her life that was an Angel but is now a Human's body. Pass. You think just because you're inside their bodies that Sabrina will have no choice but to listen? Pass on all of it. When are you going to learn that you're in way over your head when it comes to Sabrina Winchester?"
From 9.10 "Road Trip", in the warehouse, Young Sabrina and Sam/Gadreel were sitting in chairs, facing each other. Castiel, Catty, Dean, Ness, Octavia and Crowley stood around them. Sabrina's essence poured out of her mouth, pouring into Sam's mouth. Both Sabrina and Sam/Gadreel fell unconscious.
From 9.10 "Road Trip", in Sam's Mind Space, in the Bunker's Library, Young Sabrina grabbed Gadreel's shoulders, pushing him to the floor in front of them, putting her foot over his neck, pressing down. The Bunker started to shake, all of the glass shattering.
From 9.10 "Road Trip", in the warehouse, the warehouse started to shake, all of the glass shattering. Everyone looked around in confusion. Gadreel's Angel Grace flowed out of Sam's body, making everyone dodge the brilliant light as it flew out of the warehouse.
Ness: (voice over from 10.01 Black) "She exorcised Gadreel from Sam's body."
From 9.21 "King of the Damned", in the penthouse, Sabrina's essence left Young Sabrina's body, shimmying into Catty's body completely. They both fell to the floor, unconscious.
From 9.21 "King of the Damned", in Catty's Mind Space, in the warehouse, Catty restrained Abaddon from behind. Young Sabrina stood in front of them, grabbing either side of Abaddon's head angrily, concentrating, her eyes completely white, glowing bluish-white from within, furious and determined. The warehouse started to shake violently, all of the glass breaking. Abaddon's form between Catty and Young Sabrina turned into black smoke, being expelled from her body, soaring around them, making them duck down instinctively. It fled the warehouse.
Ness: (voice over from 10.01 Black) "And exorcised Abaddon from Catty's body."
From 9.03 "I'm No Angel", in the motel room, Young Sabrina turned her back to longest, smoothest wall there was in the room. Her eyes turned completely white, glowing blue from within. Shadows of unfurling wings appeared on the wall behind her. Her wings were tattered and broken, shredded.
From 8.23 "Sacrifice", Young Sabrina was engulfed in flame, burning, falling into a cliff face above some ocean, unable to stop as she hit against the cliff face, making much of it break at the point of impact, falling into the water below.
Ness: (voice over from 10.01 Black) "All while she was hurt and healing from falling from Heaven."
From 10.01 "Black", in the woods, Sabrina was fighting the Demon, punching him in the face, making his head turn aside, then in the stomach, spinning around, elbowing him in the stomach, turning to face him, backing away.
Ness: (voice over from 10.01 Black) "She's had six months to heal since the last time we saw her."
From 10.01 "Black", in the Black Spur, Ness and Crowley were sitting at the bar.
"There's no way your plan is gonna work," Ness told him. "This is the part where you give up on your mission."
From 10.01 "Black", on the road, in the Impala, Dean was driving.
Sam was in the passenger seat. "Ness has killed dozens of Demons and beat Human men half to death in the last six months."
"Well, those guys were assholes," Dean told him. "They were abusive, manipulative, rapists and murderers that went after the girls that they cared about. At least she has a type."
"It's only gotten worse and worse," Sam told him. "It's like it's just building up inside of her and making her lash out even more. One of these times, she's going to explode."
Dean nodded somberly. "I know."
From 10.01 "Black", on the road, the man hit Dean in the head with the crowbar hard enough to make him fall unconscious. He hit Sam in the head with the crowbar hard enough to make him fall unconscious.
From 10.01 "Black", in the Black Spur, Catty, Castiel and Sabrina were here.
Catty sighed, holding her head. "I can't believe Ness is a Demon." She sat down at a table, overwhelmed. "Not possessed by a Demon, but an actual... Demon."
Catty held Catty's shoulder reassuringly. "We'll find her. We'll save her. We'll bring her home."
From 10.01 "Black", Ness and the man's phone conversation (Ness' Car and the barn)
"Are they dead?" Ness asked.
"As long as you show up where I tell you to show up, and tell me what I want to know, they will be just find," the man told her.
"I told them to let me go," Ness told him. "So, whatever jam they're in now, that is their problem."
"Yeah, well, I'll be sure to pass that on to them as I'm slitting Sammy's throat and putting a bullet between Dean-O's eyes, Nessie," the man told her.
"Yeah, you won't have a chance to do that before Catty and Sabrina find you, moron," Ness told him. "Somewhere down the road, I will find you, and I will kill you. They know damn sure that if I am one thing, I am a woman of my word."
Ness hung up, continuing to drive, unbothered and unconcerned.
NOW

June 21, 2003
Nyack, New York
Night - House - Boy's Room
A young boy woke up in bed, hearing sounds of a struggle downstairs.
§
Hallway
The boy walked out of his room, following the sounds of fighting.
§
Foyer
There was a body on the floor by the door.
The boy ran down the stairs, slipping on a pool of blood at the bottom. "Dad? Dad." His father's throat was cut. "Dad!" He started to cry. "Daddy."
Bobby Singer stepped around the corner, holding a bloody knife. He looked regretful that the boy had to see this and lose his father.
§
Now
Day One
Morning - Barn
Sam and Dean were still tied to their chairs.
The man was pacing. "Why don't you tell me where Ness is? And then I'll let you go."
"That's not gonna happen," Dean told him.
"Really?" the man asked. "Now, you know your wife gave me the, uh, green light to slit Sammy's throat and put a bullet between your eyes, right, Dean-O?"
"Ness..." Sam trailed off. "Ness isn't Ness right now. Now, look, I don't know who you are--"
"Name's Cole," the man told them. "Listen, boys... every night... since I was 13 years old... every night, I close my eyes, and all I can see is all that blood... and my daddy. Now, I know Ness' family and all, but she gave you up. And I'm not going to hurt her. I just want her to lead me to the person I'm looking for. Help me. Please."
"Look, I'm sorry about your dad," Sam told him. "But whatever happened... I don't know how to tell you this. There are monsters out there."
"You don't think I know that?" Cole asked. "I did two tours in Iraq. Special Ops, Darfur... the Congo. I've seen suicide bombers and child soldiers so hopped up on speed that they could barely talk. Oh, but they could sure as hell shoot an AK."
"Not that kind of monster," Dean told him.
"Don't tell me about monsters," Cole told them. "'Cause I've had me my share."
"We mean, Vampires," Dean told him in annoyed exasperation. "All right? Werewolves. Monster... monsters."
"Look in the bag," Sam told him, nodding to the duffle sitting to the side. "Go on. Take a look. It's right there."
Cole pulled a flask of Holy Water out of the bag. "I guess even psychos need to hydrate."
"It's Holy Water," Sam told him.
Cole rolled his eyes. "Holy cow."
"Look, we're not psychos, and we're not lying," Sam told him.
"Well, you see, that's exactly what psycho liars would say, so..." Cole trailed off. "See my dilemma? I get why you're not talking. To protect Nessie. And maybe you're hoping that your sister Catty and Sabrina can find you and get you out before any damage is done." Sam and Dean exchanged a look. "Yeah, see, I know all about your family. Ness told me that I wouldn't be able to hurt you before Catty and Sabrina found you, but they're not gonna make it in time, boys." He put his own backpack on the table, pulling out a ball peen hammer. "I guess... We are just gonna have to do this the other way."
Sam and Dean looked at each other, sighing.
§ Worlds Colliding (Supernatural) §
Beulah, North Dakota
Motel Room
Catty, Castiel and Sabrina were getting ready to leave.
Catty was leaving a message on the phone. "Hey, Dean, not a good time to be screening my phone calls. Why won't you and Sammy answer? We're meeting up with Ava, all right? We have another lead on Ness. Call me back." She hung up, turning to Castiel, worried. "They haven't been answering their phones for awhile now."
"Catty, why do you automatically assume something bad happened?" Castiel asked.
"I'm sorry, have you met me?" Catty asked. "Crazy with paranoia, trust, abandonment and intimacy issues over here."
Sabrina walked closer. "I can find them. I'm with Uncle Sam and Uncle Dean all the time. I can find them, but it might take a while. That's why it would be easier if they just prayed to me."
"Well, until then, we have to go meet up with Ava," Castiel told them. "She still doesn't know about what happened to Ness, and we need to tell Ava soon."
Catty and Sabrina nodded in agreement.

Killdeer, North Dakota
Karaoke Club
(Song:) Heartbreaker - Pat Benatar
The karaoke club was mostly crowded.
Ness was performing on stage, using a mic stand. "Your love is a tidal wave / Spinning over my head." She grabbed the neck of the mic stand three times with either hand, keeping up with the beat. "Drowning me in your promises." She pulled the mic off the stand, tipping the mic down onto her foot, turning her leg enough to kick it back up, catching it it one hand, steadying it. "Better left unsaid." She walked down the catwalk of the stage. "You're the right kind of sinner to release my inner fantasy / The invincible winner, and you know that you were born to be." She ran a hand through her hair, swaying her hips, dancing sensually, receiving many cheers and applause, especially from the men, stepping down into the crowd, walking around them. "You're a heartbreaker / Dream maker / Love taker." She raised an arm over her head, tilting her head enough to toss her hair. "Don't you mess around with me / You're a heartbreaker / Dream maker / Love taker / Don't you mess around." She shook her head, shaking a finger back and forth. "No, no, no."
§
Barn
Cole punched Dean in the face. "Where's Ness, Dean? Where is she?"
Sam looked up to the ceiling.
§
Karaoke Club
Ness walked back onto the stage. "Your love has set my soul on fire / Burning out of control / You taught me the ways of desire / Now it's taking its toll." She spun around the stage, looking and waving at the men, dancing seductively, kneeling at the side of the stage. "You're the right kind of sinner to release my inner fantasy." A man reached up to touch her thigh. Ness pushed his hand away, standing. "The invincible winner, and you know that you were born to be..."
§
Woods
Cole was mercilessly beating Sam and Dean.
Ness: (voice over, singing) "You're a heartbreaker / Dream maker / Love taker / Don't you mess around with me / You're a heartbreaker / Dream maker / Love taker / Don't you mess around / No, no, no."
§
Karaoke Club
The song reached the long guitar solo. Ness danced rock-chic like, raising her arms over her head, nodding to the beat.
§
Barn
Cole strangled Sam with his right hand, pushing tortuously on his injured shoulder with his left, making him scream in pain, mocking yelling to taunt him. "Where is she?"
§
Karaoke Club
Ness took a running start, sliding on her knees toward the end of the catwalk, flipping her hair forward, then back, receiving an even louder and more enthusiastic response. "You're the right kind of sinner." At the double drum beat, she flipped her hair forward, then back, in sync with the beat. "To release my inner fantasy." Again, at the double drum beat, she flipped her hair forward, then back, drumming her arms against the air. "The invincible winner." One last time, at the double drum beat, she flipped her hair forward, then back, in sync to the beat, rising to her feet. "And you know that you were born to be."
The music stopped.
§
Barn
Dean gasped for breath, glaring at Cole. "Shove it up your ass."
§
Karaoke Club
Ness made her voice sound sweet, almost like a lullaby. "You're a heartbreaker / Dream maker / Love taker / Don't you mess around with me / You're a heartbreaker / Dream maker / Love taker / Don't you mess around with me."
§
Barn
Cole released Sam. "Okay. Okay. Okay, okay. I guess it's time to crank up the volume, then. Huh?"
§
Karaoke Club
The music started again.
Ness turned her back to the crowd, walking down toward the back of the catwalk stage, where it met the wall, making her voice sound like a rocker again, one foot in front of the other, flipping her hair forward, then back, starting to dance again. "You're a heartbreaker / Dream maker / Love taker / Don't you mess around with me." She turned back to the crowd, walking down the catwalk, standing at the end by the time she finished. "You're a heartbreaker / Dream maker / Love taker."
§
Barn
Cole pulled the hammer back out, tapping it on Dean's left knee, getting ready to swing. "Right there."
Dean started to steel himself for the blow.
§
Karaoke Club
Ness closed her eyes, raising a hand in the air above her head. "Heartbreaker!"
§
Barn
Cole swung the hammer toward Dean's knee.
Sabrina appeared, catching the hammer before it made contact. She looked at Cole. "Or not."
Sabrina put two fingers to Cole's head, making him fall unconscious. Catty walked closer.
§
Karaoke Club
Ness fell to her knees, a hand to her head, lowering her arms to her side.
(Song Ends)
Everyone started to cheer and applaud. "Whoo!"
Ness stood, sighing, smirking, but still looked as if she didn't feel anything.
§
Barn
Catty and Sabrina untied Sam and Dean from their chairs.
"Damn it," Catty told them. "Can't defend yourselves against a Human? That's how fall you've fallen?"
Sam gave her a look. "Catty--"
"I'm just teasing," Catty told them.
Catty and Sabrina helped Sam and Dean stand, looking at Cole's unconscious body.
"Don't worry," Sabrina told them. "Guy's passed out, but alive, and he won't be sleepy-bye for long. I say we get the hell out of here, and get to Aunt Nessie."
"You know where she is?" Dean asked.
"She's already move, but I think I know how we can find her again," Sabrina told them.
Dean nodded. "Okay."
Sabrina made all of them disappear.
§
Karaoke Club
Everyone was gone, except for the guy that had tried to touch Ness earlier, and the people that worked there. Ness walked toward the table to get her things, getting ready to leave.
Guy 1 stood directly behind her. "That was an amazing performance."
"It was, wasn't it?" Ness asked, turning to face him. "I can smell the liquor on you from here, so you better take a step back before things get bad."
Guy 1 put a hand on her waist. "I'm sure that I can make your night a whole lot better." He put $500 dollar bill on the table, daring her with his eyes. "Go ahead. Pick it up." Four of the workers walked closer. "$100 for each. One at a time. Or we could go together." Guy 1 smirked. "If you want."
"And what if I don't want any of you at all?" Ness asked.
Guy 1 grabbed her forcefully by her arms. "That part's nonnegotiable."
The workers walked closer, surrounding them, two behind Guy 1, two behind Ness.
Ness smirked, looking up. "And we're done." She pushed Guy 1's hand way from her waist, punching him in the face twice, hard enough to make his neck snap, letting him fall to the floor. She turned to face Guy 2, kicking him in the face, making him fall to the floor, punching him in the face, drawing blood. She kicked his chest, making him start to gurgle with blood. "Oops. Sounds like I punctured a lung. Have fun." She turned to Guy 3, punching him in the face repeatedly, grabbing his shoulders, headbutting him dead on the nose, making the bone stab up into his brain, killing him as well, letting him fall to the floor. Guy 4 tried to punch her. Ness ducked, pulling out the First Blade, stabbing Guy 4 in the stomach, letting him fall to the floor. Guy 5 tried to run away. Ness smirked, using magic to push him into the wall, walking closer. "This the kind of girl you wanted to see tonight?"
"What are you?" Guy 5 asked.
Ness smirked, stepping closer until she was in front of him. "I'm the last girl that you will ever see."
Ness reached into his chest, gripping his heart, making him gasp. She slowly pulled his heart out, taking her time, making him scream. She had just enough time to show him his own heart before he died, letting him fall to the floor. She looked at the heart in her hand, dropping it to the floor next to him. She looked over the five guys that she had just killed as if it was nothing. She looked completely numb and expressionless.
§
Outside
Ness walked outside, pulling on her jacket, putting the First Blade into her pocket.
Crowley appeared. "I see you've been busy. I sure do hope that you were having fun while creating your little art project inside."
"What do you want, Crowley?" Ness asked.
"A chat," Crowley answered. "We need to talk about your... anger-management issues."
Ness tilted her head barely.
§
Playground - Octavia's Camaro
Octavia was sitting in her car, looking toward the door to Heaven, about to get out of her car when her phone rang. She pulled it out, answering. "Cas."
Castiel was driving his Lincoln. "You need to get to Beulah, North Dakota. Now."
"I do?" Octavia asked.
"Yes," Castiel answered. "Crowley and Ness were there. We got to pick up their trail."
"Good," Octavia told him. "Great."
"Yeah, um..." Castiel trailed off. "Not so much. Ava... Ness is a Demon."
Octavia was in shock, processing. "Ness' a Demon? How?"
"The Mark," Castiel answered. "I--I guess it--it just messed her up. I don't know."
"That is a vast understatement," Octavia told him.
"Right," Castiel agreed. "Now, Ava, listen. I know you're busy, but this is kind of an 'all hands on deck' situation here, so..."
"So, I'll meet you there," Octavia told him. "I just have to make a quick stop first."
"All right," Castiel told her.
Octavia hung up, getting out of her car, walking toward the door to Heaven.
§
Bar
(Song:) Love Missile - Beast (Extreme Music)
Crowley and Ness were sitting at the bar.
Ness motioned to the bartender. "Two shots here. He'll have something fancy, with your tiniest umbrella."
The bartender nodded, walking away to get the drinks.
"So..." Crowley trailed off. "How you been feeling? On edge? Pent-up? Unfulfilled?"
"You sound like a Viagra commercial," Ness told him. "You know that, right?"
"This is about the Mark," Crowley told her. "It changed you."
Ness let her eyes turn black. "I've noticed."
Ness let her eyes return to normal.
"And I know that you want to keep the party going," Crowley told her. "You want to have fun, fun, fun till daddy takes the black eyes away. The fact is... you need to kill now. Not want to, not choose to. Need to. That's why you slaughtered those guys that tried to take advantage of you like the Vampires from Purgatory."
"Actually, if I had been a Demon then, I would've slaughtered them all, too," Ness told him. "Nothing scares me. Nothing can hurt me. The scarring, emotional or physical? Completely gone. I'm good. Hell, I'm great."
Crowley used her words against her. "I've noticed." The bartender set down Ness' shots and a girly drink in front of Crowley, walking away. Crowley had a withering look. "Danke." He looked at Ness. "Face it, darling. You're an addict. Death is your drug. And you're gonna spend the rest of your life chasing that Dragon."
"So?" Ness asked.
"So, I'm here to facilitate," Crowley answered.
"You want me to kill for you?" Ness asked.
"I want you to kill for us," Crowley told her. "Look, you just snapped. And it's going to happen again, eventually. The anger, the bloodlust is gonna build up in you until you can't take it anymore, and then... you just saw what comes from it. So, the question is, do you want to spike a civilian or someone who has it coming?"
"Like who?" Ness asked.
"Like..." Crowley trailed off, sliding a phone with picture of a blonde woman on the screen toward Ness. "Mindy Morris. Caring mother, loving wife, cheating trollop. After her husband, Lester, discovered Mindy's liaison amoureuse, heated words were exchanged. In the end, Mindy wanted a divorce. And 50% of everything. But Lester--"
"Lester would rather give up his soul than half his stuff," Ness finished.
"We live in a very materialistic world," Crowley told her. "Mindy's gonna die one way or the other. Why not take the job? Feed the beast?"
Ness took a drink. "Fine. One-time deal."
Ness stood, turning to leave.
"Oh, there's something else that I need to share with you," Crowley told her.
Ness stopped, looking back at him from over her shoulder.
(Song Ends)
§
Heaven's Prison
Octavia approached Metatron's prison cell.
Metatron was inside, in a straitjacket. "Mm. Hello, beautiful."
"Metatron," Octavia told him.
"I knew you'd come back," Metatron told her. "That white-hot spark between us? I felt it."
Octavia rolled her eyes. "I'm here about Cas."
"Boo," Metatron told her.
"After you cast the spell to close the Gates of Heaven, was there any of his Grace left?" Octavia asked.
"And if there was?" Metatron asked.
"Then I want it," Octavia answered.
"Well, everybody wants something," Metatron told her. "Question is, are you willing to pay for it? Are you willing to... I don't know, let me out?"
"No," Octavia answered. "I knew what you'd ask for."
"And you wouldn't have come here if you weren't willing to pony up," Metatron told her. "Let me sweeten the pot. I have had time to... think. And I've decided... Screw Earth. You pop that lock, I'll give you Castiel's Grace, and then scamper off to another planet. Another galaxy, even. And you will never see me again. And in return... you get Cas back to full power. And that's what you really want, isn't it? To save your friend. Your brother. So, do we have a deal, Octavia?"
Castiel walked in. "No. Ava, what are you doing?"
"You know perfectly well what she's doing, Ass-tiel," Metatron told him.
Octavia looked at Castiel in confused surprise. "How did you know--"
"I was closeby, and when you said that you had to make a stop along the way, I knew what you meant," Castiel answered.
"This isn't just my idea, Cas," Octavia told him. "I didn't tell Catty or Sabrina because I knew they would tell you. I mean, it was my idea, but Sam, he agreed with it."
Metatron smirked. "Mm, that's right." He looked at Octavia. "Sammy, large and in charge. Somebody big and strong telling you what to do. Poor little Ava. You're so in love with Sam Winchester that you don't realize that has complete control over every little thing that you do." Octavia grabbed Metatron by the straitjacket through the bars of the jail cell in frustrated annoyance, smashing his head into the bars. "Ow!"
"You talk too much," Octavia told him. "And what part of 'it was my idea, not Sam's', did you not get?"
"Like I said," Metatron told her. "White-hot spark. But you're too lost in little Sammy that you don't even see it."
Octavia looked away in annoyance, rolling her eyes, sighing. She looked at Castiel. "He said your Grace, it's still out there."
"He's lying," Castiel told her. "He is a liar."
"Hey, words hurt," Metatron told them.
"Listen to me, Cas," Octavia told him. "I'm not going to let him go. Oh, no, on the contrary." She looked at Metatron. "I was thinking of paying you periodical visits and breaking you down little by little until you are finally ready to give up the location of the rest of Cas' Grace."
Metatron nodded sarcastically, hiding how nervous he was. "Sound plan." He looked at Castiel. "But you're wrong. Not about the lying part. I am a terrific liar. But there is some of your mojo left. Not a lot. But enough. And we can skip past all of the hard parts and skip to the part both of you want. And it can be yours for the low, low price of--"
"Keep it," Castiel told him.
"Seriously?" Octavia asked.
"I've made peace with my fate, Ava," Castiel told her.
"Who's the liar now?" Octavia asked, letting go of Metatron. "I know that you love being with Catty and Sabrina in this way, Cas. But I also know that you hate not having the power to protect them from all of the big, bad dangers that still lurk out there in the dark, waiting for the perfect moment to strike."
Castiel sighed, revealing she was right, but also knowing it was a mistake to involve Metatron even in her way. "Ava..."
Octavia shrugged. "Now, if you want to question my motives and my methods even more than you have, we can do it on the road. Let's go."
Octavia walked out, leaving. Castiel hesitated, following.
Metatron called after them. "Cas, Ava, you and Sabrina should have killed me when you had the chance! Dead Angels walking! You heard me! Dead Angels walking!"
Castiel and Octavia walked out, leaving, ignoring the threats he made as they left him behind in the cell.
§
Night - House - Outside
Ness was outside the house, watching Mindy through the window. She pulled out the First Blade, about to go inside, noticing headlights turning on, looking toward a car to see a man inside.
§
Car
The man was in the driver's seat, looking toward the house. Ness appeared in the passenger seat next to the man.
The man jumped. "Hey, hey!"
"Let me guess," Ness told him. "Lester?"
The man nodded. "I... Who are you?"
Ness let her eyes turn black. "Who do you think?"
"Whoa," Lester told her. Ness let her eyes return to normal. "Oh!"
Ness nodded mockingly. "Oh. What the hell are you doing here, man?"
"Well, my contact..." Lester trailed off. "Yeah, he, uh, he told me that, uh, this was happening, so I just wanted to come down and make sure it gets done right."
Ness nodded sarcastically. "Ah. 'Cause you're the expert, huh? Listen, and this is Murder 101. When you hire someone to kill your wife, you don't want to be around when the hit goes down. It's called an alibi."
"Yeah, I know what an alibi is," Lester told her. "I watch 'Franklin & Bash'."
Ness rolled her eyes. "Super. Listen, you sold your soul for this crap, so--"
"It's not crap," Lester told her. "It's my life. And she flushed it down the toilet."
"Les..." Ness trailed off. "I'm gonna say something to you. I need you to really listen to me. You're a loser. Your lady in there? She's a South Dakota 8. You're a 4 1/2, max. Now, I don't blame her for stepping out. Especially if she found out you were messing around first."
"No," Lester told her. "Oh, no. I--I wasn't... uh..." Ness raised her eyebrows, unconvinced, giving him a look. "How do you know?"
"Well, you just got that, uh, pervy, 'I'd do anything to nail my secretary' look," Ness answered. "Believe me, I have some experience with pervy guys."
"Oh no," Lester told her. "T--that... it's different when guys do it."
"Really?" Ness asked.
"Yeah, it's called 'science'," Lester told her.
Ness nodded sarcastically. "Oh."
Lester noticed the wedding ring on Ness' finger. "This is something that you should know if you're ever gonna survive your marriage, if you can even keep it. Men aren't built for monogamy, because of evolution. We're--we're--we're programmed, you know, to--to spread our seed. Maybe that's because you're here, because you can't maintain your own damn married life, and maybe that's because you're a damn Demon." Ness punched him in the face, making him groan in pain. "Ow!"
"Like I said," Ness told him. "Loser, with a capital 'L', rhymes with 'you suck'."
"Yeah, well, you're a punk-ass Demon," Lester told her. "And you work for me now. So, get in there and do your job, you freak."
Ness looked at him with an ice cold, amused look. "And what are you gonna do? You gonna watch, huh? Is that what you like to do, Lester? Watch? Well, watch this."
Ness drove the First Blade into Lester's chest, watching him sputter and gasp for breath as he died in satisfaction.

Day Two
Morning - Karaoke Club - Outside
The place was a crime scene because of the day before. The five dead bodies were taken away. Dean and Catty were posing as FBI, talking to a detective, showing him a picture of Ness.
"Yeah, that's the girl from the surveillance pics," the detective answered. "These guys had her cornered, obviously about to take advantage of her, before she slaughtered them. I don't know whether to call this self-defense or murder."
"Would you do us a favor?" Dean asked. "Any leads you get on this girl, send them to us. We're trying to hunt her down."
"Yeah," the detective answered. "You bet."
"Thanks," Catty told him.
Dean and Catty walked toward the Impala, getting inside, driving away. Cole was watching from his Jeep, pulling out to follow them.

Bar
Crowley was listening to a boring progress report from a stunt Demon, looking immensely bored.
"At the end of the day, we have to strategically calibrate expectations," the Demon told him. "And so, by making these 64 small changes, I believe we can increase our Demon-conversion rate by 0.03%."
A phone rang.
Demon 2 answered, listening to the other end, hanging up, looking at Crowley. "Uh, sir? Sir?"
"Kill me," Crowley told them.
"Uh, it's the Winchesters, sir," Demon 2 told him. "They're close."
Ness walked in.
Crowley stood. "Ness. How did it go?"
"Fine," Ness answered. "Fine. Uh, he's dead, and you're right. I--I feel amazing. Just as amazing as I felt when I ganked those pervy sons of bitches."
"'He'?" Crowley asked.
"Uh, Lester," Ness answered.
"The client?" Crowley asked. "You killed the client?"
"Does it matter?" Ness asked. "He was a douche. Now he's a dead douche."
"Of course it matters," Crowley told her. "The deal was one dead wife for one soul. The wife is not dead. I don't get the soul. It's math."
Ness shrugged, turning to leave. "Well, there you go."
"Hey, don't turn your back on me," Crowley told her. Ness turned to face him, looking at him coldly, yet a little amused that he thought he could tell her what to do, pushing him to the floor, smirking. The two Demons reacted silently. "Is something funny?"
"No, sir," Demon 2 told him.
Crowley started to stand. "Good." Ness held a hand toward him, using magic to keep him down. "What do you think you're doing?"
"Oh, whatever I want," Ness answered, releasing him from magic.
"Really?" Crowley asked, standing. "Because I think you don't know what you want. Tell me, Vanessa. What are you? A Demon? If so, why isn't Lester's wife dead? Did you feel sorry for her? I've seen what you do when you lash out, Ness. You attack the men that mistreat women the way that you've been mistreated, doesn't matter who the man is. And you out and out refuse to go against your so-called family, no matter the reward you would get in return. So, maybe you're a Human. Except you have those pretty black eyes. Why don't you do us all a great big favor and pick a bloody side?"
"Or what?" Ness asked. "Hmm? Go ahead. Make a move. See how it ends. And you're one to talk. Getting me to take on the Mark, getting me killed and turned into a Demon, not for me, no, but for your own selfish need for power. Why do you think I'm targeting the ones that I do? It's not because I'm betrayed or angry at Dean. It's you, Crowley. I ain't your friend, I'm not your freaking girlfriend, and I ain't taking orders from you. When I need to kill, I'll call. Until then, stay out of my way."
"Fine," Crowley told her. "It's over." He looked at the Demons. "What can I say? Crazy ones. Well, they're good for a fling, but they're not relationship material unless you're as crazy as they are."
"Are you done?" Ness asked.
"We're done," Crowley answered. "You know what, Ness? It's not me. It's you."
Crowley and his Demons walked out, leaving. Ness smirked in amusement, rolling her eyes slightly.

Hotel - Outside
Sam, Dean, Catty and Sabrina walked out of the hotel.
"Look, when we find her, let me talk to her first," Dean told them. "I don't want to overwhelm her, all right? And if I need help, then you guys can come in."
Sabrina nodded. "Got it."
"All right, Cas and Ava are still on the road," Sam told them.
Sabrina looked up as if she felt something, annoyed. "Come out, come out, wherever you are, Crowley."
Crowley appeared in front of them. "Hello. You miss me?"
"So much," Catty told him sarcastically.
"You're here for Ness," Crowley told them. "I'm here to give her to you."
"What?" Dean asked in surprise.
"Your little Nessie is bad for business," Crowley told them. "She's... uncontrollable. Must be the Mark. Anyway, Vanessa's your problem. Again, forever."
"Then where is she?" Sam asked.
"First, there's the small matter of my finder's fee," Crowley told them.
Sam, Dean, Catty and Sabrina exchanged an annoyed look.

Bar
(Song:) Hey, There Lonely Girl - Eddie Holman
Ness was sitting at the bar, having a drink. She took out the First Blade, slicing her palm open, watching as it healed instantly.
Crowley: (voice over) "Pick a bloody side."
Ness looked up as if she felt someone close, standing, turning around. Dean walked in, stopping some distance away.
Ness smiled. "Hi, Dean."

Ness looked toward the bartender. "Hey, Harv, why don't you go grab a smoke?" Harv walked out, leaving. Ness looked at Dean. "I told you to let me go."
"You know I can't do that," Dean told her.
"So where's the rest of the Scoobies?" Ness asked.
"I told them to give us a minute," Dean told her. "By the way, your, uh, pal Crowley... sold you out."
"Sounds like him," Ness told him, stepping closer with the First Blade.
"Ness, hold on a second," Dean told her. "You don't have to do this. Look, we know how to cure Demons. You remember that?"
Ness tilted her head from side to side. "Little Latin, lot of blood. It rings a bell. Did you ever stop to think that if I wanted to be cured, I wouldn't have bailed?"
"That was Crowley," Dean told her.
Ness smiled a small smile, shaking her head. "It really wasn't. As soon as I took off, I started to run. Run from you, run from Cas and Ava, run from little bro and sis Sam and Catty, run from little niece Sow, and run from Crowley."
"It doesn't matter, all right?" Dean asked. "'Cause whatever went down, whatever happened, we will fix it."
"Will we?" Ness asked. "'Cause right now, I'm doing all I can not to come over there and rip your throat out... with my teeth. I'm giving you a chance, Dean. You should take it."
"I'm gonna have to pass," Dean told her.
"Well, I'm not walking out that door with you," Ness told him. "I'm just not. So, what are you gonna do? Are you gonna kill me?"
"No," Dean answered.
"Why?" Ness asked. "You don't know what I've done. I might have it coming."
"Well, I don't care," Dean told her. "Because you are my wife, and I'm here to take you home."
Ness started to laugh, taunting him. "'You're my wife, and I'm here to take you home'. Yeah, what is this, a Lifetime movie? Huh? With your declaration of love? Where's Catty with her puppy dog eyes when you need her?" She continued to laugh. "Oh, thanks, baby. I needed that." Dean took out the Demonic handcuffs. Ness smirked, pressing her lips together. "You really think those are gonna work?"
Dean shrugged. Ness smiled. Tear gas came flying in the window. Dean dissolved into a coughing fit, falling to his knees.
§
Outside
Cole was waiting by the backdoor, aiming his gun. Ness appeared behind him, walking closer tauntingly, strongly.
Cole turned to aim his gun at Ness. "Wow. It's really you."
"We met?" Ness asked.
"Talked on the phone," Cole answered.
Ness nodded. "Right. Right. You're the guy who was supposed to slit Sammy's throat and put a bullet in Dean's brain. Did you miss?"
"Well, little sis Catty and daughter Sabrina came in to save the day," Cole told her.
"I told you they would," Ness told him. "Something they're very good at doing."
"But I knew they'd go running to you, and all I had to do was just tag along," Cole told her. "And now here we are. Finally. Ness Singer-Winchester."
"Great," Ness told him sarcastically. "A groupie."
"Not exactly," Cole told her. "My name's Cole Trenton. Nyack, New York, June 21, 2003. That was the night your father gutted and murdered a man by the name of Edward Trenton. He was my father. So, now, I'm looking for yours to get a little payback."
"Okay," Ness told him in amusement.
"Okay?" Cole repeated.
"Well, hey, I'm not saying that my daddy didn't slice and dice your old man," Ness told him. "I'm just saying that he wasn't the first, and he certainly wasn't the last."
"I saw him, that night... after," Cole told her. "Your dad let me live. That was dumb. Real dumb. I spent half my life training for the moment that I found him. I've played out the fight I would have with him a thousand times in my mind. And I know all about your pops, Nessie. And he's good. Oh, he's real good. But, you see, I'm better."
§
Inside
Sabrina walked into the bar, looking around the tear gas-filled room. She saw Dean unconscious in the middle of the room, walking closer. She looked around the bar, starting to spin around, blowing all of the smoke out of the bar with a single breath.
The room was cleared by the time Sabrina had finished the breath. Sam and Catty ran in toward Dean, kneeling next to him.
§
Outside
Ness looked at Cole seriously for a moment before she started to laugh.
"What?" Cole asked. "Something's funny to you?"
"Yeah, actually," Ness answered. "You poor, stupid, clueless son of a bitch. December 2, 2011. Hammonton, New Jersey. Hammonton Regional Hospital."
"What is that?" Cole asked.
"That's when and where my father died three, almost four years ago," Ness answered. "Gunshot to the head. Me, Sammy, Dean and Catty watched him die."
Cole shook his head in denial. "No. You're lying."
"No," Ness answered, stepping closer. "You just gotta wrap your head around the idea that you're too late to get your petty little revenge."
§
Inside
Sabrina knelt on the other side of Dean's unconscious body as Sam and Catty, healing him.
§
Outside
Ness held her arms in a shrug, gesturing for Cole to bring it on. "But go ahead. His daughter's right in front of you. Take your revenge through me. Take a shot."
"Now, that's not payback," Cole told her, holstering his gun.
They heard Sabrina's voice. "You're right." They looked to where she was standing just a few feet away. "It's not." Sabrina looked at Cole. "Move. Now."
Cole backed away. Sabrina turned to face Ness.
Ness smirked, looking over her in surprise. "Well, look at you. Little Sow grew up pretty. I can see what Cas and Ava meant about your true face looking so pure. I can see it now, as a Demon. You really do look so pure." Sabrina smirked. "How old does this make you now?"
"Old enough to kick a Knight of Hell's ass," Sabrina answered. "Again."
Ness smiled, nodding, pulling out the First Blade, slashing it toward Sabrina. Sabrina sidestepped to make her miss.
"I wanted you guys to let me go, Sabrina," Ness told her.
"You're the one who told me that we can't always get what we want, Auntie Ness," Sabrina told her.
Ness slashed up toward her face. Sabrina stepped back to make her miss. Ness tried to punch her. Sabrina caught her arm. Ness tried to kick her. Sabrina raised her leg to block the move, trying to punch Ness twice. Ness blocked both moves, plunging the First Blade into Sabrina's chest, making her gasp in pain and flash with light. Nothing else happened.
Ness pulled the Blade out in shock. "Wow."
Sabrina seemed surprised herself, taking the Blade out of her chest. "Yeah."
They all watched as the wound in her chest healed.
"So not even the First Blade is enough to kill you," Ness told her. "That's good to know."
Cole watched them in shock. "What the hell are you people?"
"Sabrina's the True Hybrid," Ness answered. "And me?" She let her eyes turn black. "I'm a Demon."
Sam splashed Holy Water onto Ness from behind, making her skin burn and sizzle, making her groan a scream of pain. Ness turned to Sam to retaliate. Sabrina punched Ness in the face, kneeing her in the stomach, twisting one of her wrists behind her back, making her face Catty. Ness tried to punch Catty in the face. Catty caught her wrist, using her momentum to twist it downwards, kicking her in the stomach, making her fall to her knees, twisting her arm behind her back. Dean handcuffed Ness with the Demonic handcuffs, rendering her powerless.
"Stop!" Sam told her. "It's over! Ness, it's over."
Ness glared at them, breathing heavily, completely powerless.
§
Ness was handcuffed to Sabrina outside the bar. Sam, Dean and Catty were some distance away, talking to Crowley. Sam had the First Blade.
"A pleasure doing business," Crowley told them.
"What are you gonna do with it?" Sam asked.
"Toss it into a volcano, leave it on the moon," Crowley told them. "I'll get creative. Believe me, I don't want Ness getting her hands on the precious any more than you do. She knows I ratted. Vanessa tends to hold a grudge in this... Demonic form. I don't want to get... boned."
Sam handed over the First Blade.
"This doesn't make us square," Catty told him. "If I see you again--"
"Oh, stop it, Catalina," Crowley told her. "No one likes a tease. And a bluffer. You know that you can't kill me without all of the attacks on your and your darling Sabrina over there to start again." Sabrina was listening, rolling her eyes. "And they won't stop until you're all dead. So, I'm afraid, it seems you're stuck with me."
Catty glared. Crowley disappeared, leaving. Sam and Catty walked toward the Impala, getting inside, driving away. Sabrina pulled Ness toward Ness' Car and Dean.
§
Night - Library
Cole was looking around the library, looking toward the librarian. "Give me every book you have on Demons."
§
On the Road
The Impala and Ness' Car drove down the road.
§
Ness' Car
Dean was driving. Sabrina and Ness were in the backseat. Ness tried to pull at the handcuffs linking her to Sabrina, but she couldn't get free, and she was still powerless. Sabrina looked up at Dean. Dean held his hand back toward Sabrina.
Sabrina took something from him, holding it up for Ness to see, revealing it was Ness' Necklace. "We, uh... we found this at the warehouse where you fought Metatron. It must've fallen off during the fight."
"It's just a necklace, Sabrina," Ness told her.
Dean was surprised. "'It's just a... necklace'. Wow. If that's what you say about your mother's necklace that your dad gave to you after you started hunting, the necklace that you always wore and never took off, you really have gone dark."
"You have no idea," Ness told them.
"Then why are you still wearing your wedding ring?" Sabrina asked.
Ness didn't answer, fiddling with the ring. "It doesn't matter. I have done dark. I have done things to people and Demons that are unforgivable. Unmerciful. And what I'm going to all of you? Well, that ain't gonna be mercy, either."
Sabrina and Dean didn't answer, looking way. Dean continued to drive.
