chapter 12 - Girls Chase Boys

THEN

From 10.10 "The Hunter Games", in Hell's throne room, Rowena chanted a spell. "Wings of Titania, bear mine eyes aloft as I bid thee."

From 10.07 "Girls, Girls, Girls", in Bistro de Moules, the waiter started to sweat. His eyes and head were turning red. He dropped the plates, making them shatter. His head was now bright red and peeling. He fell to the floor.

Rowena smiled. "Magic."

Rowena put a Hex Bag into the waiter's hand.

From 10.07 "Girls, Girls, Girls", in Raul's Girls' bar, Rowena tossed a Hex Bag to Raul. Raul caught it.

From 10.07 "Girls, Girls, Girls", in the hotel hallway, Rowena put a Hex Bag in Elle's hand.

From 3.09 "Malleus Maleficarum", outside the Dutton House, Dean, Sam and Catty were posing as detectives.

Sam showed them a bag. "Hex Bag."

"So we're thinking Witch?" Catty asked.

From 10.10 "The Hunter Games", in Hell's throne room, Rowena pulled a Hex Bag out from under the throne, smiling.

Sam: (voice over from 3.09 Malleus Maleficarum) "Yeah. This is old world black magic."

From 10.07 "Girls, Girls, Girls", in the hotel hallway, Catty and Ness walked toward Rowena, Elle and the girl.

"We're here for the Witch," Ness told them. "Rowena."

From 10.07 "Girls, Girls, Girls", in Hell's Cell, Rowena was chained to a wall, her face cut and bruised.

Crowley was in shock. "Mother?"

From 10.10 "The Hunter Games", in Hell's throne room, Crowley looked at Rowena. "You did manage to stay away for three hundred years."

"There was unpleasantness with the Grand Coven," Rowena told him. "It was no environment for a child."

From 9.07 "Crazy Kids", outside CBGB, there were crowds of people partying and having a good time, drinking and doing drugs. Young Dean and Young Ness walked closer.

"'Screw it, let's go to CBGB'," Young Dean told her. "'There ain't nothing to do'. 'Come on, Dean, it'll be fun'."

From 9.07 "Crazy Kids", in Sonny's Home for Boys, Sonny looked at the bouncer from CBGB. "How did they sneak in if you're the bouncer, Billy?"

Billy took off his sunglasses, revealing a bruised eye. He advanced toward Young Dean angrily. "You sucker punched me!"

"You wish!" Young Dean told him.

"Dean!" John told him.

From 9.07 "Crazy Kids", outside the house, Young Ness and Young Dean walked away from the house, John and Bobby defiantly.

"Vanessa Claire Singer," Bobby told her. Young Ness turned to face them, looking at Bobby. "Go, Ness." Young Ness looked at Young Dean, not wanting to leave. "Now."

Bobby led Young Ness away, leaving.

From 9.11 "First Born", outside of Cain's farmhouse, Crowley, Ness and Dean stood outside.

"It's Cain," Crowley told them.

"As in Cain and Abel?" Ness asked.

From 9.11 "First Born", in Cain's farmhouse, Cain explained to Dean, Ness and Crowley. "Lucifer was gonna make my brother into his pet. So I offered a deal."

Cain pulled up his right sleeve to reveal the Mark burned into his forearm.

"It's the bloody Mark of Cain," Crowley told them.

"So I became a soldier of Hell," Cain told them. "A Knight. I can give you the Mark, Ness, if it's what you truly want."

"It's gonna end up bad no matter which way it goes, isn't it?" Ness asked.

"It might," Crowley answered. "But it's also necessary. Wouldn't you agree?"

Cain took Ness' right hand with his. A red vein spread from Cain's Mark to burn an identical Mark on Ness' forearm.

From 9.23 "Do You Believe In Miracles?", in the Bunker's dungeon, Ness started to get sick, coughing horribly, vomiting blood onto the floor.

Ness: (voice over from 9.23 Do You Believe In Miracles?) "What the hell's happening to me, you son of a bitch? I really, really need to kill. And if I don't..."

Ness walked toward the small mirror in the cabinet. All she could see was her mouth covered in blood.

Crowley: (voice over from 9.23 Do You Believe In Miracles?) "You yak your guts out. It's the Mark. It wants you to kill. The more you kill, the better the better you feel. The less you kill, the less better you feel."

From 9.23 "Do You Believe In Miracles?", in the Bunker's dungeon, Ness was sitting on the floor. Crowley was standing in the Devil's Trap.

"How much less better?" Ness asked.

"One would imagine, the least best better," Crowley answered.

"So, dead?" Ness asked.

Crowley shrugged.

From 10.10 "The Hunter Games", Ness' memories about killing the men from 10.02 Reichenbach and 10.09 The Things We Left Behind.

From 10.10 "The Hunter Games", in the Bunker's library, Ness and Dean were talking.

"And I've been fighting it, you know?" Ness asked.

From 10.10 "The Hunter Games", in the Bunker's dungeon, Ness looked as if every part of her wanted to stab the Angel Blade into Metatron's heart like he had done to her. She struggled not to, breathing heavily, closing her eyes.

She heard Dean's voice outside in the hallway. "Ness! Ness, don't do this."

Ness looked toward the door. She started to calm down at the sound of Dean's voice, starting to breathe easier. She dropped the blade onto the table.

From 10.11 "There's No Place Like Home", outside Clive Dillon's House, Ness stayed on the ground so she didn't have the urge to get up and keep fighting, even though that was all she wanted to do. She turned her head away, breathing heavily, closing her fists around the ground to stay down and not fight.

Ness: (voice over from 10.10 The Hunter Games) "Part of that powerful force has to be me."

From 10.11 "There's No Place Like Home", in the Bunker's library, Dean looked at Ness. "You good?"

"No," Ness answered. "Every part of me wanted to get up and start beating Dark Charlie until there was nothing left, even though I knew that it would kill Good Charlie, too."

"But you didn't," Dean told her. "That's the difference. You stayed down, even if it took everything you had. You can do this."

"We can do this," Catty told them.

Ness nodded.

"Then let's get to work," Sam told them.

They looked over the research, sighing.

Day One

Pendleton, Oregon

Night - Bar

(Song:) If It Don't Feel Right - Josey James & Waylon Jefferson James (Extreme Music)

A man was getting pushed out of the bar by a bartender.

"It wasn't me, man," the man told him. "I didn't take it."

The bartender pushed him away. "You keep on coming and stealing from me. Huh? Where's my money?"

"It was that--" the man started.

"Where's my money?" the bartender asked. "Where's my money? You give me my money!" He pushed the man out of the back door, making him fall to the ground outside. "Swear on my mother, JP. I see your face here again... I'll kill you."

A homeless man outside was watching.

JP stood. "Like Hell. This is freaking America, man. You can't just--"

The bartender slammed the door in his face.

(Song Ends)

§

Outside

The homeless man was looking at JP.

"What you looking at?" JP asked.

JP walked over to his car. Someone was watching him from behind bushes. The homeless man rummaged through the garbage. JP reached his car, going to unlock the door. A reflection of a man appeared in the window behind JP. He was scruffy, having a long scar on his face, wearing a hat. JP turned to face him. The man grabbed the Hex Bag that was around his neck. There was a big, bright flash of white light. JP screamed. The homeless man turned to see the white light, but nothing else. He ran closer, seeing that all there was left next to JP's car was JP's clothes on the ground. Both JP and the man with the scar were gone. The homeless man looked around in confusion, but he didn't see anything. He raised his head to look up into the sky above.

Day Two

Lebanon, Kansas

Morning - The Bunker - Dean and Ness' Room

Ness was sitting on the bed researching how to get the Mark of Cain off her arm. She gazed off expressionlessly, holding the pendant of her necklace.

Crowley: (voice over from 9.11 First Born) "After Cain killed Abel, he became a Demon."

Cain: (voice over from 9.11 First Born) "I can give you the Mark, Ness, if it's what you truly want."

Ness placed the book she was reading on the bed, standing, walking over to get another large book with ancient inscriptions written on it.

Ness: (voice over from 9.17 Mother's Little Helper) "But when I kill, I kill for a reason. I'm nothing like Cain."

Crowley: (voice over from 9.17 Mother's Little Helper) "Why are you fighting what you really are?"

Ness walked over to the bed, sitting on the floor, leaning back against the side of the bed.

Dean walked in. "Hey."

Ness looked up. "Hey."

"Caught a case," Dean told her, handing over a tablet. "Apparently something is taking people." Ness took the tablet. The screen was on a news site with the title 'Mysterious Disappearances Baffle Police'. "And leaving their clothes."

Ness enlarged the picture of JP. "Hmm. So this job finally gets an 'R' rating, huh?" Dean chuckled. "All right? Dean, why don't you, Sam and Catty check it out? I'll hold down the fort."

"Ness, you haven't left the Bunker in a week," Dean told her.

Ness tossed the tablet behind her on the bed, standing to face Dean. "Which might be what's safest for everyone out there in the world, including me."

"You think that I haven't noticed you've been getting sick?" Dean asked. "And not regular sick, either. I mean, like when you get sick when you haven't killed in a while, like what happened when you were locked in the dungeon--"

"After I attacked Gadreel, yeah," Ness finished. "I'm not trying to hide it, Dean. Yeah, I haven't killed in a while, but I thought that was a good thing."

"It's not a good thing if you make yourself sick to death, literally," Dean told her. "Especially when all of this bottles up inside of you and makes you explode again."

Ness sighed, giving in. "So you want me to go on a job."

"No, you need to go on a job," Dean answered. "Staying locked up in here, sitting on the floor reading the same lore books over and over and over again? It's not helping you. You need to get back in the game for your own good. And if it makes you feel better, Sabrina's coming with us, in case you're worried about what could happen or what you could do, because you know that Sabrina will be there. You can beat this, Ness."

"Do you really believe that?" Ness asked.

"Yeah, you're damn right I believe that," Dean answered. "And sometime during this job, I'm going to take my wife out to dinner and show her what a real four year anniversary looks like." Ness smiled. "You didn't think I would forget, did you?"

"No," Ness answered. Dean looked at her expectantly. Ness smiled a small smile. "All right, I'll go on the job, and you can take me on that date the sounds fan-freaking-tastic."

Dean and Ness smiled, sharing a slow, soft, sweet kiss, leaning their heads together, smiling small smiles.

Pendleton, Oregon

Bar - Outside

Dean, Sam, Catty and Ness were standing outside, posing as FBI, talking to the homeless man.

"And then--then--then there was this bright light, and bam, the dude's just gone," the homeless man told them. "Nothing left but, uh..."

"Cheap suit and pair of florsheims?" Dean finished.

"Pretty much," the homeless man answered.

Dean nodded.

"You see anyone else?" Sam asked.

"No, sir, officer," the homeless man answered.

"And what about, uh, a chill?" Ness asked. "Or did you smell any rotten eggs?"

"What?" the homeless man asked. "No, ma'am. Uh... I smelled flowers, though."

"You smelled flowers?" Sam repeated. "What kind of flowers?"

"Flowery flowers," the homeless man answered.

"Flowery flowers?" Sam repeated, slightly annoyed.

"Look, we all know what's going on here, okay?" the homeless man asked.

Catty closed her eyes, shaking her head. "Don't say it."

"Aliens," the homeless man told them.

Catty nodded, looking away. "He said it."

Ness nodded. "Yeah, he did."

"Dude was abducted," the homeless man told them. "Believe me. I know." He looked up at the sky. "May 2003. Those suckers, they grabbed me, and they probed me everywhere."

"Okay," Dean told him. Dean, Sam, Catty and Ness turned away. "Thanks for your time."

"I'm talking everywhere," the homeless man told them.

Sam gave him a thumbs up. "Yep." He cleared his throat. "Okay."

The homeless man walked away, leaving.

Sabrina walked around the back of the bar, walking toward them. "What'd you find?"

"Well, the wheels just came flying off the bus," Dean told her. "You?"

"Searched the alley, searched the bar," Sabrina told them. "No EMF, no sulfur, no Angel dust."

Catty looked at Dean, Sam and Ness. "I'm serious. She's better than an EMF reader and UV ray light and those drug dogs put together, times a million."

Sabrina smiled.

"So, no EMF means no Ghost," Sam told them.

"No sulfur means no Demons," Dean told them.

"No dust means no Angels," Ness told them.

"So, that leaves us with what?" Dean asked. "Couple of little green dudes and bucket of lube?"

Sabrina scoffed. "Or Fairies."

Dean groaned. "Ugh. I'd rather have the little green dudes."

"All right, I'll go scope out JP's place," Catty told them. "Sam, uh, ask around inside. Sabrina, see if you can find a scent around here that can help us out and see where it takes you. Dean, Ness, you guys go on your date."

"Really, Catty?" Ness asked.

Catty nodded. "Yeah. It's your four year anniversary, and you two need a break for once."

"Go," Sabrina told them. "Seriously. Before I zap you to your date."

Sam smiled, chuckling. "You heard the girls."

Ness smiled a small smile.

"Thanks, guys," Dean told them.

Sam nodded.

§

Night - Acadia (Restaurant)

(Song:) Ashes, the Rain and I - James Gang

Dean and Ness were sitting at a table.

Ness looked around, smiling. "I really like this place. Not too flashy, not too shabby."

"Yeah, I knew you would like it," Den told her. "It's all right. You're beautiful tonight."

Ness smiled. "Sweet talking. You, always sweet talking."

"I can't help if I'm implored to tell the truth about how she looks to my lovely little wife," Dean told her teasingly.

Ness chuckled, letting it fade, stilling smiling a small smile. "Thank you."

"For what?" Dean asked.

"For everything," Ness answered. "You know, helping me through all of this. Getting my mind off it. Bringing me here. Everything."

Ness took his hand in hers on the table.

Dean shook his head. "You don't have to thank me. Ever."

"Yeah, but I'm going to anyway," Ness told him. Dean and Ness smiled small smiles. "I love you, Dean."

"I love you, too," Dean told her.

Ness leaned over the table to kiss him for a long moment. There was a few moments when they were seen on their date, talking, but no sound came. They were served with dinner and wine, eating and sipping their drinks. They smiled, chuckling and laughing.

(Song  Ends)

§

JP's Apartment - Outside

Catty walked toward Sabrina. "What'd you find?"

"Not much," Sabrina answered. '"If found JP's scent mixed with another that I'm not really sure what it was, but the trail just disappeared. I couldn't follow it past that point. How you looking?"

"Not great," Catty answered. "Turns out JP was about three days from getting evicted. His landlord said the guy blasted Neil Diamond 24/7. I don't know, Sow. Let's head back to the motel, and see if Sammy found anything. If he got jacket with two scoops of jack, I think we ought to just call it a night."

Sabrina nodded.

§

Acadia - Outside

Dean and Ness walked outside of the restaurant, smiling, laughing.

"Good night, huh?" Dean asked.

Ness smiled. "Awesome night."

Someone was watching them from behind a car.

"That's my word, but since you're my wife, I'll let you plagiarize," Dean told her. Ness smiled. She looked as if she felt something, looking around. "What?"

Ness looked toward where someone was watching them as the person ducked into hiding. "I think I got gum stuck to my shoe."

Dean knew that meant they were being followed. They walked around the corner of the alley, behind the wall, withdrawing guns. The man that had taken JP walked closer. Dean and Ness aimed their guns at him.

"Why are you following us?" Ness asked.

The man didn't answer, grabbing the Hex Bag hanging around his neck. A white flash appeared. Dean and Ness disappeared. Their clothes and their guns fell to the ground.

§

House - Basement - Dean's Cell

Dean woke, opening his eyes. His eyes were the only thing visible. He looked around in confusion. There were bars on the windows.

Dean had changed clothing. He was now wearing an oversized yellow hoodie and baggy jeans. "What the hell?" He tried to open the door, but it was locked from the outside. He pulled at the bared windows, but they didn't budge. He noticed that his hands looked different, quickly turning to a dusty mirror, wiping the dust off with the sleeve of his hoodie, seeing that he had been reverted to his 16-year-old self. (Young Dean from 9.07 Crazy Kids.) "Son of a bitch."

§

Ness' Cell

Ness woke, opening her eyes. Her eyes were the only thing visible. She looked around in confusion. The cell was exactly like Young Dean's, one over.

Ness had changed clothing. She was now wearing a black crop top, black jeans, converse shoes, and an oversized gray plaid cardigan with a hood. She felt at her neck, feeling that her necklace was still there, sighing in relief. She looked down at the hand on her chest, noticing that she still had her wedding ring, and that her hand was different, looking around until she found a mirror, wiping the dust off with the cardigan, seeing that she had been reverted to her 16-year-old self. (Young Ness from 9.07 Crazy Kids.) "Oh, my God."

§

Basement (Alternating Cells)

Young Ness looked at herself in the mirror, sighing. "Seriously?" She checked out the new clothes. "Seriously?"

She heard Young Dean's voice. "Ness?"

"Dean?" Young Ness asked. "Is that you?"

"Yeah," Young Dean answered. "Please tell me you know what the hell is going on."

"Honestly, I'm not sure yet," Young Ness told him. She looked around, seeing another girl in a cell through the cracks of hers on the other side. "Hey. What's your name?"

"Tina," the girl answered. "I left a bar, and then there was this..."

"A light?" Young Dean finished. "A bright light?"

"Yes," Young Tina answered. "And then I was here, and I thought this was a nightmare, but... Oh, God, if you're here... it can't be real. This doesn't--"

"I know," Young Ness told her. "Just try to stay calm, okay?"

"Stay calm?" Young Tina repeated. "I'm a freaking tween, you two look like some Fifth Harmony or One Direction rejects." Young Ness and Young Dean seemed only slightly offended by that. "And we're in some freaky serial-killer basement. I can't--"

"Tina, Tina, just calm down," Young Ness told her. "We're not gonna let anything happen to you, okay? Well, anything else happen to you."

"This is crazy," Young Tina told them. "How are you guys so calm?"

Young Dean chuckled. "Practice." He looked through the cracks on the other side of his cell to see a teen boy. "Ness, I got another guy over here."

"JP?" Young Ness asked.

"Yeah," Young JP answered.

"We've been looking for you," Young Dean told him.

They heard the basement door open. The man from before walked down the stairs leading to Young Tina, Young Ness, Young Dean, and Young JP's cells. He opened the door to Young JP's cell.

Young JP started to scream. "No!"

The man grabbed Young JP from the bed.

"Hey!" Young Dean told him. "Hey!"

Young Dean began tearing into the broken wood that separated his cell from Young Ness'.

Young Ness looked out of the cracks in the cell toward the man taking Young JP away. "Don't!"

The man started to pull Young JP up the stairs.

"This is freaking America, man!" Young JP told him. "You can't do this!" The basement door slammed closed. "No!"

Young Ness and Young Dean looked at each other worriedly through the broken wooden barrier between them.

§

Acadia

Sam walked in, looking around, pulling out his phone, making a call.

§

House - Basement

A covered food try was slid under the door of Young Ness' cell.

"What is it?" Young Tina asked.

Young Ness hesitantly took off the cover to reveal a rather large slice of cake.

§

Acadia

Sam was still trying to call Dean or Ness. He heard their phones ringing behind the counter at the front. He walked closer. A waiter silenced the ringing phones, placing them in Dean and Ness' jackets, placing them aside.

"Hey, buddy?" Sam asked. "Where did you get those jackets from?"

"Outside in the alley," the waiter answered. "I was going to put them in the lost and found and about to call it in to the police, in case it's another kidnapping."

"No, there's no need for that," Sam told him. "I'm FBI. I'll take it from here. Thank you, very much."

The waiter nodded. "Of course, sir."

Sam took the clothes, walking out, leaving.

§

House - Basement

Young Tina and Young Dean had gotten cake, too. Young Dean was eating the cake with his hands, enjoying every bite.

Young Ness looked at her cake on the floor. "They probably poisoned it."

Young Dean stopped eating. "Right." He sucked the remaining frosting off his finger. "Obviously."

"What do you think they're doing to JP?" Young Tina asked.

Young Dean sighed, hitting the wall. "Nothing good."

Young Ness felt around on the walls of her cell, looking for a weak spot, or someway of getting out of there. She realized that the only place she could get out was by crawling through the broken wooden wall of her and Dean's cell to join Young Dean on the other side, starting to tear the wood away even more. Young Dean began to pull fiercely on the bars from the bed, kicking it.

"What are you doing?" Young Tina asked.

Young Dean kicked off one of the bars from the bed, picking it up. "Getting us out of here."

Young Dean pulled the bed in front of the window as leverage. After getting on top of the bed, he began to hack away at the cement holding the bars in the window in place. Young Ness was still ripping down the wood to the wall to make the hole big enough for two girls to fit through.

"Seriously, who--who are you guys?" Young Tina asked.

Young Ness sighed. "That... is a long story."

§

Acadia - Outside

Sam walked around where Dean and Ness had disappeared with a flashlight. He saw their guns. He picked up one, dusting off a yellow dust off the handle, sniffing it. "Flowers."

§

House - Basement

Young Dean pulled one of the bars free. "Yahtzee."

Young Ness had finished pulling at the wall separating her from Young Dean. She turned to pull at the wall separating her from Young Tina for her to follow her into Young Dean's cell, so the three of them could get out together. They heard a door creak in the distance. The man was starting to come down.

"Get out," Young Tina told them.

"What?" Young Ness asked.

"Hurry," Young Tina told them. "I'll keep him busy."

"No, you're coming," Young Ness told her.

"There's no time," Young Tina told them. "Go. Get help."

"Tina--" Young Ness started.

"I know you will," Young Tina told them. The man began to unlock Young Ness' cell door. They were running out of time. Young Tina started screaming at the top of her lungs to distract him. "Help me! Help me, please! I need a doctor! I need a doctor now!"

Young Ness crawled through the hole leading to Young Dean's cell, standing, running up to the bed. Young Dean started to climb out. Young Ness helped boost him out through the window.

The man walked into Young Tina's cell. "What are you screaming about, girl?"

Young Tina whimpered.

§

Outside

Young Dean pulled himself out of the window. He turned back to Young Ness, grabbing her hands, pulling her out with him, pulling too hard, making them both fall to the ground. They both breathed heavily, looking at each other, standing, running away, leaving.

§

Motel Room

Sam was sitting at the table, researching Yarrow and Transfiguration Spells on his laptop. Catty and Sabrina were standing nearby. Sam and Catty were in normal clothes.

"Uncle Sam, you think what happened now?" Sabrina asked.

"I found yarrow flowers, and I think that this is what it's for," Sam told them.

"Changing the victims?" Catty asked.

"Pretty much," Sam answered. "Sabrina? Dean and Ness haven't been praying to you?"

Sabrina sighed in frustration. "I don't know. I mean, I--I can feel them, like they're asking for help, but I can't get a read on where they're at. It's weird. Nothing I've felt before."

They heard a knock on the door. Sabrina opened the door, looking outside. Young Ness and Young Dean were standing outside. Young Ness was wearing the hood of the cardigan up. Young Dean was wearing a red baseball hat.

Sabrina had never seen them this young, so she didn't recognize them, wary and confused. "Yeah?"

Young Dean smirked. "Hiya, Sabrina."

Sabrina seemed to recognize scent, looking at them in confused realization, as if thinking that it wasn't possible, but knowing it was them. She looked at Ness' Necklace around her neck to make sure. "Uncle Dean? Aunt Ness?"

Catty and Sam walked closer, looking at Young Ness and Young Dean, recognizing them, in shock.

Young Ness smiled. "Hi."

§

Young Ness and Young Dean walked in. Young Dean walked across the room, into the bathroom. Sabrina closed the door. Young Ness looked under the bed, pulling out a duffle bag, dumping it on the kitchen table.

Sam stammered. "W--wait a second. Y--you're both--"

"Uh-huh," Young Ness answered.

"How?" Sabrina asked.

"No clue," Young Dean told them. Young Ness loaded her gun. "Some scarface looking dude, bright light." Young Ness cocked her gun. "Next thing we know, I wake up looking like Justin, and she wakes up looking like Selena."

"Why would someone turn you into--" Catty started.

"Don't know," Young Ness told them, putting the gun in a holster, putting it on her jeans. "Don't care. Hey, we got any grenades?"

"What?" Sabrina asked.

Young Ness tried to walk past them.

Sam stopped her. "Don't. Wait, wait, wait. Wait a second. Talk to us."

"Really, Sam?" Young Dean asked skeptically. "Now? I got no grass on the infield, and a girl's gonna die. Sorry if we're not in a chatty mood. Sabrina, why haven't you been answering our prayers?"

"I've been trying to, but it's like the signal's blocked, or staticky somehow," Sabrina told them. "It was like a bad connection, and I couldn't find you."

Young Ness sighed. "Must be the spell that turned us into this. It's messing with our bodies and minds... literally." She walked past them toward the door. "Come on."

 §

Outside

Young Dean, Young Ness, Sabrina, Sam and Catty walked outside.

Young Dean bumped into an oncoming middle aged woman holding grocery bags, making her drop some bags and her motel key. "Oh, I am so sorry."

"Allow us," Young Ness told her.

Young Ness and Sabrina picked up the grocery bags, handing them to the woman. Young Dean picked up the motel key, handing it to the woman, nodding. Young Dean, Young Ness and Sabrina walked toward the Impala.

The woman smiled, looking at Sam and Catty. "Your children are so polite."

"What?" Catty. "Oh, no. Uh, they're--"

"Forget it, Catty," Sam told her, pulling her toward the Impala.

Sabrina looked at Young Dean and Young Ness. "So, I can't just zap us to where you want me to go if I don't know where it is."

"We know, Sow," Young Dean told her.

Young Ness nodded. "That's why we're gonna show you guys where it is."

Catty stood at the driver's seat door, looking at Sabrina, Young Dean and Young Ness. "Kids in the backseat." Sabrina smirked. Young Dean and Young Ness gave Catty a look. Catty looked at Sam, smiling. "Oddly enough, I've always wanted to say that."

Sam smirked. They got into the Impala, driving away.

§

On the Road - The Impala

Catty was driving. Sam was in the passenger seat. Sabrina, Young Dean and Young Ness were in the backseat.

"Cake?" Sabrina asked. "Why would they give you cake?"

"Well, don't know," Young Dean told them. "It wasn't even good cake. Too dry."

Sam scoffed, glancing over at Young Dean and Young Ness, overwhelmed.

"What?" Young Ness asked.

"Nothing," Sam told them. "Okay, not nothing. Look, this is bizarre. Even for us. This is insane. You--you're, like, what, you're 16? How does it even feel?"

Young Ness sighed. "Well, I'm me. I'm--I'm old me, but I'm a kid. It's freaking weird, guys. And..."

"What?" Catty asked.

Young Ness sighed. "There was a Taylor Swift song on the bus that we hopped to the motel, and, uh... I liked it, guys. I liked it a lot."

Sam and Catty looked at Young Ness weirdly. Young Dean looked at Young Ness in surprise.

Sabrina wasn't phased, looking sly. "Okay."

"My voice is weird, and I've got, like, nine zits, and I have zero control over this thing," Young Dean told them, gesturing to his crotch. "I mean, it's up, it's down, it's up for no reason."

"That's enough," Sam told him. "Yeah, thanks. Uh..." He cleared his throat. "Let's just call it puberty."

"Yeah, which sucks," Young Dean told them. "Again."

Sabrina looked confused.

"Well, listen," Catty told them. "We found yarrow."

"Which means what?" Young Dean asked.

"Means we're probably dealing with a Witch," Young Ness answered. "Yarrow's a flower. They use it in a ton of spells."

"And when we get there, we can change you back, and then Sabrina can smite the crap out of Sabrina the teenage-making Witch," Sam told them.

"Is that a reference to Sabrina the teenage Witch?" Sabrina asked.

They smiled.

"Hell, yeah," Young Dean agreed. Young Ness didn't answer. Young Dean looked at Young Ness. "Right?"

"Uh, yeah, about that," Young Ness told them. "It turns out, this whole freak show has an upside." She pulled up her sleeve to reveal that she didn't have the Mark of Cain. "The Mark is gone."

"How?" Catty asked.

"Well, I figure if this hoodoo slammed me back into the body I had when I was 16--" Young Ness started.

"You didn't have the Mark then," Catty finished.

"Yeah, and if we reverse the spell..." Young Ness trailed off.

"Then it's gonna come back," Catty finished.

"That's what I'm thinking," Young Ness told them. "So... maybe we don't."

"Wait a second," Young Dean told her. "Are you saying you want to stay like this?"

"No," Young Ness answered, sighing. "No, but... if it's between being a psycho rage monster/borderline Demon or a teenager, well..."

"Really?" Sabrina asked.

Young Ness sighed. "Look, I'm not a fan, either, but... guys, this is problem solve. And I'm still me. I can still hunt. I'm just, you know... dewier."

"Okay, look, y--you have a point, kind of, but, Ness..." Sam trailed off. "You wouldn't be able to do that much hunting. Not yet. Not while you're like this. Not as much as you can do now. And if you stay like this, it'll change everything. Between you and Dean, between everything."

"I know," Young Ness told them.

"I mean, you can drink again, in, what, like, five years?" Catty asked.

"That's not funny, Catty," Young Ness told her.

Sabrina smiled. "That's kind of funny."

Young Ness shook her head. "That's not funny."

"Oh, come on, Ness," Sam told her. "It's kind of funny."

Young Dean smirked, wrapping an arm around Young Ness' shoulders.

Young Ness sighed, leaning back, looking at Young Dean. "One hell of an anniversary, huh, baby?"

Young Dean smirked, nodding in agreement.

Witch's House - Outside

The Winchesters approached the house with flashlights in hand, aside from Sabrina, who didn't need a flashlight. A light was on in the house.

"Looks like someone's home," Sam told them.

"Okay," Young Ness told them.

"Sabrina, you get inside," Young Dean told her. "We'll get into the basement. Get Tina out while you waste the Witch."

Sabrina nodded. "All right."

They walked closer to a window, passing a bunch of yarrow flowers by the house.

"Still open," Young Dean told them, lifting the window open. "Tina? All right, let's go."

Sam pointed at the small window. "I'm way too big to fit in that."

Young Dean smirked. "First time you ever had to say that, huh? Is that Ava says, Sam?"

"Big talk coming from the dude wearing Underoos," Catty told him.

Young Dean made a face. "Okay, good one."

Sabrina rolled her eyes, raising her arms toward them, teleporting them into the basement.

Basement

Sam investigated Young JP's old cell. Young Ness investigated Young Dean's old cell. Young Dean investigated Young Ness' old cell.

Catty investigated Young Tina's cell, finding her still inside. "Guys."

Sam, Young Ness, and Young Dean walked closer, looking at Young Tina inside.

Young Tina smiled in relief. "I knew you'd be back."

Upstairs - Hallway

Sabrina appeared. She looked around, not seeing anyone. She looked as if she felt like she was being watched, turning around, pushing the man against the wall, restraining him. "What did you do to my uncle and aunt?"

The man shook his head. "Nothing. I'm no Witch. I just work for one."

"Crappy gig," Sabrina told him. "Where is he?"

"She," the man corrected. "And she in the worst person in the world."

"Is that so?" Sabrina asked.

"I've been with her for centuries," the man told her. "Things I've seen her do... my sister and I, she made us hurt people, kill people, and we tried to escape, but she caught us and tortured me." He gestured to his mutilated face. "And then she made me eat poor Gretel's heart."

"Wait," Sabrina told him. "Witch? Gretel?" She let him go, scoffing. "What are you saying? That you're..."

"Hansel," the man answered. "My name is Hansel."

"Hansel?" Sabrina repeated. "And--and... and Gretel? My mom told me about you. A fairytale."

Hansel pushed away from the wall. "It wasn't a fable. It was based on a true story. They just gave it a happy ending."

"Oh, okay," Sabrina told him. "I get to barbecue a celebrity." She smiled, thinking it was neat. "Cool."

"You can't kill her," Hansel told her. "You're just a girl."

"Oh, I'm a lot more than that," Sabrina told him. "I'm a Hybrid."

"The Hybrid?" Hansel asked.

"Yeah," Sabrina answered. "What do you know about me?"

"She told me," Hansel answered. "Stories of a girl of everything. Stronger than everyone."

"So you know about me, and I know about you," Sabrina told him. "Great."

"Let me help," Hansel told her.

"Help?" Sabrina repeated. "What's in it for you?"

"Because if you're going to fry that candy-coated bitch, I want in," Hansel told her.

"You want to help?" Sabrina asked. "Tell me how to turn them back."

"The Hex Bag that I'm wearing," Hansel answered. "It will reverse the spell. Squeeze it, and you'll return to the way you were. Look, we waste the Witch, I give you the cure. Deal?"

Sabrina looked at him critically.

Staircase

Sam, Catty, Young Dean and Young Ness led Young Tina out of the basement, up to the main part of the house.

Kitchen

The Witch was chopping onions at the counter. She opened the large fiery oven, feeding it firewood. Hansel walked in.

"Hansel," the Witch told him.

Sabrina walked in. "And a friend."

"Well, you're about the age of picking, my dear," the Witch told her. "How stupid of you to come on your own." She chuckled. "Hansel, take care of her."

Hansel didn't respond.

"Yeah, he's not exactly your biggest fan," Sabrina told her, walking closer, past Hansel. "Maybe you shouldn't have made him chow down on his sister."

"I never made Hansel do anything," the Witch told her.

Sabrina looked at her in confusion. Hansel took Sabrina's arm, twisting it, trying to restrain her and push her against the wall.

Sabrina was too strong for him, twisting his arm to break it, pushing him against the wall. "Well, aren't you too strong to be a Human? What are you?'

"Rumpatur," Hansel answered.

"I'm not even gonna ask," Sabrina told him.

Hansel turned to face her defensively, looking at the Witch. "She's the Hybrid."

"You've heard of me," Sabrina told her. "Now you can see what I can do." She looked at Hansel, focusing extremely hard. Hansel started to choke. He gasped for breath, unable to breath. He flashed with dim light, falling to the floor, dead. Sabrina knelt next to him, pulling the Hex Bag off of his neck, holding it for a moment, standing, looking at the bag in her hand. She turned to face the Witch, looking at her shocked reaction smugly. "Now..." She smiled. "Next?" She stepped closer. The Witch backed away. "Just tell me something. Why kids?'

"Why does it matter?" the Witch asked. "You'll kill me either way."

"True," Sabrina told her. "But I'm just curious. Why is it always the kids?"

"They're so sweet and innocent," the Witch answered.

"If you like kids so much, why not go after kids?" Sabrina asked. "What's with this whole fountain of youth?"

"In the olden days, if a child went missing..." the Witch trailed off. "Ah, the young died all the time. Now, though, with all your AMBER alerts and your milk cartons, a person fillets one rugrat, and people get so angry. So, I improvise. I take adults no one will miss and give them back their youth."

"And then Kentucky-fry them," Sabrina finished.

"It's the only way I can eat in peace," the Witch told her.

"So, uh, was it worth it?" Sabrina asked.

"A bit," the Witch answered. "People kind of taste like chicken. European children are more, uh, free range, gamier. Americans, though, ooh, they're Heaven." She laughed. "Fattier. The meat, so finely marbles, it's almost buttery. I just can't get enough."

"Great," Sabrina told her sarcastically.

"No, I am in awe," the Witch told her, continuing to back away from her toward a counter, stalling, trying to distract Sabrina. "This is my first visit to your country. And I have to say, God bless the USA."

"Oh, so, you're a tourist?" Sabrina asked.

The Witch shook her head. "No. It's business, not pleasure. An old friend is causing trouble, and the Grand Coven asked me to take care of her. Poor, stupid Rowena."

Sabrina stopped where she was. "Wait. Rowena?" The Witch stopped in front of the counter, her hand behind her back to sneakily reach for a knife behind her. "She got red hair?"

"How do you know that?" the Witch asked.

"My mom told me a little about her," Sabrina answered. The Witch took the knife from the counter behind her, raising it over her head to try to stab Sabrina. Sabrina caught her wrist, giving her a seriously look. "You didn't think that was gonna work, did you?"

Sabrina smirked, pulling on the Witch's arm hard enough to make her flip to the floor in front of the fiery oven. She got an idea, opening the oven, grabbing the Witch, pushing her inside, closing the door, letting her burn. The Witch banged on the iron door, screaming in agony. Catty ran in, stopping in the doorway, looking from Hansel's dead body on the floor to the fiery oven where the Witch was still screaming as she burned alive. Sabrina used magic to easily keep the door closed. The Witch's screams finally came to an end. Sabrina turned toward Catty.

Catty was surprised but relieved that the Witch was dead. She looked at Sabrina. "Nice, Sow."

Sabrina shrugged, smiling a small smile.

Outside

Sam, Catty, Sabrina, Young Dean, Young Ness and Young Tina stood together. Sabrina handed the Hex Bag to Young Dean. Young Dean held the bag in his hand. After a big, bright flash of bright white light, Young Dean transformed back into Dean of today. Young Tina took the Hex Bag. After a big, bright flash of bright white light, Young Tina transformed back into an adult. She was in shock, letting the bag drop. Young Ness caught the Hex Bag before it fell to the ground. After a big, bright flash of bright white light, Young Ness transformed back into Ness of today. She looked as if she just now realized what had just happened, not knowing what to make of it.

"That was crazy," Tina told them. "Like psycho crazy. And you do this all the time?"

Sabrina nodded. "All the freaking time."

Sam shook his head. "Not all the time."

"Sure you're gonna be all right?" Ness asked.

Tina nodded. "I always am."

"Can we give you a ride somewhere?" Catty asked.

Tina nodded.

Dean held his hand toward Catty. "Give me the keys."

Day Three

Morning - Bus Station - Outside

Tina was getting ready to leave, looking at the Winchesters. "Thanks for everything."

"You stay safe out there," Dean told her. "You hear?"

"I will," Tina told them, waving goodbye, walking into the bus station.

Sam, Catty, Sabrina, Ness and Dean walked toward the Impala.

"So, Grand Coven," Sabrina told them. "Any ideas?"

"Doesn't sound good," Sam told them.

They reached the Impala.

"Well, sounds like an 80's hair-metal band," Catty told them. "You know, a lot of hair spray lot of eye shadow, lot of keytar." Sabrina looked confused. "No? Nothing? Come on, Sow. I'm painting a word picture here. My God, you are just like Cas. But that's not a bad thing."

Sabrina smiled.

Sam looked at Ness. "Is it back?"

Ness lifted her sleeve up to reveal the Mark of Cain was back on her arm. "Look, I know what you're going to say, okay? But I realized something. You were all right. I can't hunt when I'm a kid like that. Not in the way I can now. I know that now is not a good time for me, but you guys.... You need all the help you can get with everything that's left to come. You're not gonna lose me that easily."

"So you sacrificed your chance to be normal again because you're being a martyr like always, to stay with us and protect us and save us," Catty told her. "You pulled a Ness Singer-Winchester." Ness was slightly taken aback by this statement. "Thank you."

Ness nodded. "Anytime."

"Look, Ness, do I wish the Mark was gone?" Dean asked. "Yes, of course. Absolutely, I do, but... I wanted to come back, and I wanted you to come back with me. And now here we are." He shrugged. "I'll take the win."

"As for the rest of it, the Mark, everything else... we'll figure it out," Sabrina told them. "We always do."

Sam nodded in agreement. "Damn right. Let's get out of here."

The Impala

Dean got into the driver's seat. Sam got into the driver's seat. Ness, Sabrina and Catty got into the backseat.

Dean smiled, looking over the car, his gaze landing on Ness in the backseat behind Sam. "Oh, I'm back, babies."

Ness smiled. Dean started the engine, putting on the radio.

(Song:) Shake It Off - Taylor Swift

Lyrics: "Players gonna play, play, play, play, play."

Sam, Ness, Catty and Dean were confused why it was on this station and not a classic rock station like every other time.

Lyrics: "And the haters gonna hate, hate, hate, hate, hate."

Sabrina pressed her lips together, tilting her head. "Mm."

Sam, Ness, Catty and Dean looked at Sabrina, knowing she was the one who put the station on.

Lyrics: "Baby, I'm just gonna shake, shake, shake, shake, shake."

Sabrina shrugged innocently.

Lyrics: "Shake it off / Shake it off."

Sam and Catty looked at Dean for him to change the station.

Ness and Dean seemed to be enjoying the song, and trying to hide the fact that they did.

Lyrics: "Heartbreakers gonna break, break, break, break, break."

Sam, Sabrina and Catty looked at Ness and Dean in surprise.

Dean started to drive them away.

Sam and Catty gave Ness and Dean weird looks.

Lyrics: "And the fakers gonna fake, fake, fake, fake, fake."

Sam and Catty exchanged a look, speechless.

Sabrina smiled, starting to sing along. "Baby, I'm just gonna shake, shake, shake, shake, shake."

On the Road

The Impala drove down the interstate at a fast pace.

Lyrics: (both Taylor Swift and Sabrina singing) "Shake it off / Shake it off."

The Impala drove underneath an overpass, out of view.
