The Impala drove down the road.
From 9.04 "Slumber Party", in the Bunker's Basement, Sam Winchester/Wicked Witch was finally able to restrain Catty Winchester from behind, making her face Dean Winchester/Wicked Witch and Ness Singer-Winchester. Dean/Wicked Witch held Catty's Demon-Killing Knife to Ness' throat. Catty leaned back into Sam/Wicked Witch to kick Dean/Wicked Witch back before he could slit Ness' throat, making Sam/Wicked Witch and herself back into the car trunk behind them. Ness faced Dean/Wicked Witch. Dean/Wicked Witch tried to punch her twice. Ness ducked either side both times to make him miss, backhand punching him in the face.
From 9.14 "Captives", by the train trestle, Sabrina Winchester and Castiel, formerly the Angel, now the Human, were sitting on the ground. Sam, Catty, Dean and Ness stood nearby, watching.

From 9.14 "Captives", in Bartholomew's office, Bartholomew the Angel tried to push the Angel Blade toward Octavia the Angel's throat. Octavia used one arm to hold the blade at bay, using the other to punch his elbow, making him drop the blade, catching it in the other hand before it fell to the floor, twisting his arm behind his back, making him face away from her, aiming the blade at his throat from behind.
From 9.06 "Heaven Can't Wait", in the woods, Sabrina smiled, lifting her arms to either side of her. She opened her mouth, exhaling very slowly and carefully, breathing out a cloud of black smoke into the air above her, like Demon smoke. There was a glowing white smoke like Angel Grace writhing from inside of it, the bright white light shining through the black brilliantly.
From 9.01 "I Think I'm Gonna Like It Here", in the Pescadero, California's alley, Sabrina stabbed either of the Angels on either side of her in the heart, her arms crossed to do so, killing them, making them flash with bright white light, pulling the blades out, letting the bodies fall.

From 9.23 "Do You Believe In Miracles?", in the Angel office, Angel 1 slashed toward Octavia. Octavia whipped her Angel Sword to make Angel 1's Blade fall to the floor, punching him in the face, spinning to kick him in the chest, making him fall into the wall and fall to the floor.
From 9.01 "I Think I'm Gonna Like It Here", in the hospital's hallway, the windows lining each side of the hall started to shatter, the glass lying everywhere. Catty ran past them, trying to avoid the glass.
From 9.23 "Do You Believe In Miracles?", in the Angel office, Sabrina used her Angel Blade to block the move, punching him in the face, kicking him in the stomach, spinning closer to elbow him in the face, spinning in the opposite direction to kick him in the chest, making him fall back into a group of Angels, making them fall to the floor, spinning the Angel Blade in her hand.

From 9.02 "Devil May Care", in the abandoned diner, Sam/Gadreel started to radiate with bright white light. Shadows of unfurling wings appeared on the wall behind him. His wings were tattered and broken.
From 9.10 "Road Trip", in the warehouse, Sabrina and Sam/Gadreel were sitting in chairs, facing each other. Castiel, Catty, Dean, Ness, Octavia and Crowley stood around them. Sabrina's essence poured out of her mouth, pouring into Sam's mouth. Both Sabrina and Sam/Gadreel fell unconscious.

Catty: (voice over from 7.22 Survival of the Fittest) "Three months is like a year to her aging speed."
From 9.23 "Do You Believe In Miracles?", in the Angel office, Angel 6 slashed toward Octavia from behind. Octavia twisted her Angel Sword down to block the move, spinning to face him, using the sword to block the moves that the Angels tried against her, spinning to kick the Angel Blade out of Angel 6's hand, making it flip through the air toward her, catching it in her hand, twirling the Angel Sword and the Angel Blade in either of her hands, holding them up in warning.
From 9.18 "Meta Fiction", in the abandoned warehouse, two Demons kept Catty restrained to the table by her arms. The third Demon stood behind her, holding either side of her head, tilting it back against the table to restrain her. Abaddon the Knight of Hell's Demon smoke poured out from Josie's body, flowing slowly, painfully into Catty's mouth, taking possession of her body.
From 9.19 "Alex Annie Alexis Ann", on the ferry dock, Catty/Abaddon had killed everyone on the ferry dock. She leaned against the railing, covered in blood, smiling, brushing back a strand of hair out of her face. She chuckled, overlooking the damage she had caused.
From 9.21 "King of the Damned", in the penthouse, Catty/Abaddon was standing at the vanity mirror dresser. She looked up at the mirror in front of her to talk to Catty in the reflection, smirking, letting her eyes turn black. Catty didn't like to see herself with black eyes.

Sabrina stood in front of them, grabbing either side of Abaddon's head angrily, concentrating, her eyes completely white, glowing bluish-white from within, her voice loud and thundering from power, furious and determined. "Go. Back!"
The warehouse started to shake violently, all the glass breaking. Abaddon's form between Catty and Sabrina turned into black smoke, being expelled from her body, soaring around them, making them duck down instinctively. It fled the warehouse.

Octavia pulled her sword free hard enough to make Angel 7 flip through the air and fall to the floor.

From 9.21 "King of the Damned", in the hotel's basement, Abaddon's Demon smoke soared into Josie's body, taking possession of her. She opened her black eyes. She started to stand while Sam and Dean were restraining her, about to retaliate with magic. Ness drove the First Blade into Abaddon's stomach with incredible force, making her flash with red. Sam and Dean slowly let go of Abaddon. Ness used the First Blade to lift Abaddon off the floor with inhuman strength, looking at her monstrously.
Ness: (voice over from 9.15 #thinman) "I know I haven't been acting like myself lately."
Abaddon roared in pain, flashing with red light, light that burned her skin away, making her scream. Sam and Dean had to look away from the brightness. Ness pulled the Blade out, letting Abaddon's dead body fall to the floor. She looked at the Blade in her hand, breathing heavily, her hand shaking with power. She looked angry, in control, focused, deadly calm.

From 9.22 "Stairway to Heaven", in the warehouse's corridor, Sabrina, Catty and Castiel walked down the corridor. Sabrina held her arms toward Castiel and Catty, pulling them back, using magic to pull them back to the floor, lying flat. Just as two huge spinning saw blades sprung out from the wall about neck height, right above Catty and Castiel, shocking them both.
From 9.23 "Do You Believe In Miracles?", in the Angel office, Angel 13 slashed toward Octavia repeatedly. Octavia spun around to use her Angel Sword to block all the moves in a blur of motion, slashing toward him. Angel 13 ducked. From 9.22 "Stairway to Heaven", in the Bunker's control room, Sam, Dean, Catty, Ness, Castiel, Octavia and Sabrina looked at Gadreel cautiously in alarm. Ness took the First Blade from behind her back, slashing Gadreel deeply across the chest. Gadreel slowly fell to the floor, bleeding with Grace. Octavia and Sabrina ran toward Ness, pulling her away. Sam, Dean, Catty and Castiel looked at Gadreel, but didn't make a move toward him, turning to face Octavia, Ness and Sabrina. Ness snarled, under the full power of the First Blade.
From 9.23 "Do You Believe In Miracles?", in the Angel office, Sabrina ducked and dodged and spun out of the way of several Angel Blades, using hers to block the moves, kicking two Angels away, throwing her Angel Blade into the shoulder of Angel 18 to pin him to the wall, using magic to pull the blade back into her hand, making Angel 18 fall to his knees, spinning around to punch him in the face, making him fall. Octavia exchanged several Sword blows with Angel 15, spinning through the air to slash into her shoulder, spinning to kick her in the head, making her fall, turning toward the Angels, holding her sword up, one hand raised, ready.
From 9.06 "Heaven Can't Wait", outside the motel, Catty kissed Castiel for a long moment. Catty responded, slowly at first, less timid the longer it was. They pulled away for a moment, eyes still closed, smiling small smiles. Catty wrapped her arms around his neck as they continued to kiss.
From 9.23 "Do You Believe In Miracles?", in the Angel office, Angel 20 jumped toward Sabrina to try to stab her. Sabrina ducked to the floor into the splits, spinning into a standing position, turning to face Angel 20. Angel 20 threw his Angel Blade toward her. Sabrina ducked back into a Matrix flip, standing straight, blocking each move he made, kicking him down.
From 9.18 "Meta Fiction", in the Bunker's bathroom, in the shower, Dean and Ness looked at each other for a long, longing moment, water pouring over the both of them. They kissed slowly, sweetly at first. Dean placed his hands on her bare back to pull her closer. Ness wrapped her arms around his neck. They kissed with less hesitancy, building up passionately.
From 9.23 "Do You Believe In Miracles?", in the Angel office, Angel 17 ran toward Octavia to stab her. Octavia spun out of the way, jumping up to kick the Angel Blade out of his hands, spinning to slash the Sword toward him, making him duck and back away into the wall.

From 9.23 "Do You Believe In Miracles?", in the Angel office, Sabrina got extremely tired of the Angels still coming after her and Octavia, holding her hands toward them, using magic to throw them all to the floor, keeping them pinned, most of them injured, some not.

From 9.23 "Do You Believe In Miracles?", in the Angel office, Angel 19 tried to slash into Octavia with two Angel Blades in a blur of motion, but Octavia easily ducked, dodged, spun out of the way and used her Angel Sword to block all of the moves, jumping to make him miss her legs, and while in the air, she spun to kick him in the head, punching him in the face as she finished the spin and landed on her feet, making him fall.
From 9.23 "Do You Believe In Miracles?", in the warehouse, Metatron the Angel had Ness pinned, punching her repeatedly, until she was bleeding mess. Ness turned to stab Metatron with the First Blade. Metatron buried an Angel Blade deep into her chest with both hands, making her gasp in pain. Sam, Dean and Catty had been running close. They came to a stop in shock, frozen.
Dean was in denial, desperate, devastated and in a rage. "No!"
Metatron pulled the Angel Blade out of Ness' chest, accidentally pulling Ness' Necklace off in the process. Ness' Necklace fell to the floor. The sound of it clinking lightly like windchimes against the concrete reverberated in the open warehouse. Ness gasped for air, looking toward Sam, Dean and Catty across the warehouse, numb with pain and fear.
From 9.23 "Do You Believe In Miracles?", in the Angel office, Octavia spun around repeatedly to slash into the Angels around her without much harm, making most of them drop their Angel Blades, flipping out of the way of Angel 21 slashing toward her, spinning to slash him in the stomach, kicking him in the chest to make him fall.

He started to cry, holding Ness' head to his chest, holding her tightly, sobbing heart-wrenching sobs that echoed throughout the warehouse.
From 9.23 "Do You Believe In Miracles?", in the Bunker's Library, Sam, Dean and Catty were sitting at the tables in the library. They looked at each other for a long moment, but they couldn't find the words to say.
From 9.23 "Do You Believe In Miracles?" in the Bunker, in Dean and Ness' room, Ness' body was lying in the bed, clean of all of the blood, but was still severely beat and broken.
Crowley was sitting in a nearby chair, looking at her. "Maybe part of me wanted this to happen." He stood, walking closer, putting the First Blade in her hand, lying both on her chest. "Open your eyes, Ness. See what I see. Feel what I feel."
Ness opened her completely black, Demon eyes.

Day One
Night - Crossroads
A woman was chained to a tree with her arms above her head. She was being tortured, bleeding. "I heard the rumors. I said, 'No, that can't be'. A Winchester, one of us? But it's true, isn't it? Whatever soul you had, whatever club scout code you cuddled up to at night, it's all gone. Leaving what? Look at you!"
Dean was holding Catty's Knife. "Where is Crowley?"
The woman let her eyes turn completely red, revealing her as a Crossroads Demon. "Eat me."
Dean nodded sarcastically, smirking, stepping forward, stabbing the Crossroads Demon in the stomach. "One more time. Where is Crowley?" He twisted the blade, making her gasp in pain. "Where's Ness?"
"I don't know!" the Crossroads Demon told him.
"Then you're going to call somebody who does," Dean told her, cutting the Crossroads Demon's neck, holding up a cup to it to catch the blood.
"No one knows!" the Crossroads Demon told him. "He won't answer."
"Make the call," Dean told her.
"We're under orders," the Crossroads Demon told him.
"Make the call," Dean told her more forcefully.
"Please!" the Crossroads Demon told him.
Dean dropped the cup, grabbing the Crossroads Demon's face, demanding the words. "Where's my wife?"

Day Two
Morning - The Bunker - Library
The tables were covered with books and stacks of files and papers.
Sam was on the phone. His right arm was immobilized in a sling. "Right, right, so no noticeable crop failures, no mass cattle deaths, nothing?"
There was a man's voice on the other line. "No, nothing on the radar. Nothing on the scope. I'd say that's a good thing."
"No, yeah, yeah, yeah, you're right," Sam told him. "I hear you, Mike. Thanks. That is a good thing. All right, well, keep me posted if anything does pop up."
"All right," Mike told him. "Watch yourself, Sam."
"I will," Sam told him. "You got it. Thanks."
Sam hung up.

Sam and Dean were sitting at the table. Sam was researching on his laptop. Catty and Castiel walked closer with breakfast.
A teenage girl walked in. She looked at Sam. "You know, meathead, I could heal that up for you."
"No, no, that's okay, Sabrina," Sam told her. "It's not that bad."
"Yeah, except when it comes to fighting and how much of a.." Sabrina trailed off, looking at Catty and Castiel. "What do you call it?" She nodded, looking at Sam. "Tool that can be used against you."
Castiel raised his eyebrows in acknowledgement, looking at Sam.
Sam ignored them, looking at the article. "I think I might have found something."
Castiel nodded. "Oh. Good."
"All right, get this," Sam told them. "A 'John Doe' who was murdered in Wisconsin a week ago turns out to be this guy named Drew Neely who went missing from religious order in Northern Ohio."
"Okay," Catty told him.
"Now, Drew Neely had been missing for three years," Sam told them. "Killed his wife, his kids... just disappeared. I know it's thin, but... if this guy was possessed..."
"That would make him the first lead, the first anything we've seen in months," Catty finished.
Sabrina looked down. "I miss her. Aunt Ness."
Sam nodded. "Yeah."
"Why would she just disappear?" Sabrina asked.
"Who says she had a choice?" Dean asked.
"Well, then, who wrote the note?" Castiel asked. "If there's any chance... any chance at all that Ness is still..."
"Still... even remotely Ness?" Dean finished.
Sabrina and Catty looked down.

Night - Bonfire Party
(Song:) Last Damn Night - Elle King
There was a bonfire party out in the middle of nowhere, with people drinking and mingling and music blaring. Ness was dancing on top of a car, drinking. A man started to pull a woman away from the party, getting rough with her.
"Get off me," the woman told him.
"Why are you doing this to me?" the man demanded.
Ness stopped dancing, watching them.
"You need to calm down," the woman told him.
"Where were you?" the man demanded.
"Stop it!" the woman told him.
Ness hopped down from the car, following them into the cornfield.
The man looked at Ness. "There a problem?"
"Yeah," Ness answered nonchalantly. "You're a dick."
Ness used the bottle she was drinking from to smash the glass over the man's head, making him fall to the ground. The woman screamed. Ness started to punch the man, kicking and kneeing, until he was a bleeding mess, until he was barely alive. She stood, turning to face the woman. The woman ran away, leaving. Ness looked as if she felt like she was being watched, looking toward that direction. No one was there. Ness looked at the beaten and bloody man at her feet, walking away, leaving.

Bar - Parking Lot
Octavia was posing as FBI, talking to an officer. Her phone rang. She smiled politely, walking away, taking out her phone, noticing it was Sam, answering. "Hi. It's a good thing you called. I think I might have something."
Sam was in the passenger seat of the Impala. "Really?" Dean was driving. They were both posing as FBI. "Good, good. Ava, what's going on?"
"A man was murdered in South Dakota a couple weeks ago," Octavia explained. "He was an abusive ass who kept his family on a short leash, abused everyone and everything around him. Apparently, he was found dead in a bar. I'm outside in the parking lot now. Sam, this is the fifth guy like this to be murdered in six months. Since Ness disappeared."
"Yeah, I know," Sam told her. Dean looked at him. Outside the bar, Hannah the Angel approached Octavia. "Listen, we're heading out toward another murder crime scene. If you wanna meet us there..."
"No, you think you could check it out yourself?" Octavia asked.
"Yeah, yeah, of course," Sam answered. "Just, uh... what are you gonna do?"
"An old friend is coming now," Octavia told him. "I'll talk to you later, Sam."
"All right," Sam told her. "Bye. Ava, thanks."
Octavia smiled a little. "Of course." She hung up, sighing. "Hannah."
"Octavia," Hanna told her. "I've been meaning to speak with you. About the state of Heaven, and to apologize about the last two times we've seen each other."
"What's wrong with Heaven?" Octavia asked.
"There's no leader," Hannah answered. "We're mostly governing ourselves. There's a lot of meeting on rebuilding and reorganizations. Lots of reconciliation."
"And Metatron?" Octavia asked.
"Still in jail," Hannah answered. "His door has been made permanent. I would've thought we'd seen you sooner."
"I would've come sooner, but I've been... busy," Octavia told her.
"I'm glad you didn't," Hannah told her. "But now, you see, I... I need your help. Heaven needs your help."
"Anything," Octavia told her.
"Most of the Angels who fell during the fall have returned to Heaven," Hannah told her. "A few have not. Some out and out refuse. Rogues. Two of them have killed one of our own for only attempting to bring them back home."
"Who were they?" Octavia asked.
"Daniel and Adina," Hannah answered. "They must be found. They must be brought home, and they must be punished for the sake of all. Will you help me?"
Octavia nodded. "Yes."

Sam and Dean walked in with a detective.
"Appreciate you coming down, Agents," the detective told them. "But I'm afraid you may have just cost Uncle Sam a tank of gas."
Dean looked at Sam, hiding a smirk at the irony, whispering. "If only Sabrina heard someone else call you Uncle Sam."
Sam barely chuckled, looking at the detective. "Oh, why's that?"
"You came up here to investigate Drew Neely's murder, right?" the detective asked.
"Right," Dean answered.
"Problem is, no one's certain it was murder at all," the detective told them.
"Okay, then what are we dealing with here?" Dean asked. "A suicide?"
They stood in front of a computer on the desk.
"Self-defense, more likely," the detective answered. "Uh, the surveillance footage was corrupted. Our techies finally managed to clean up the file. Hold on a sec now."
The detective sat at the computer, typing away.

Sam, Dean and the detective watched the footage.
"Okay, now, the girl's just minding her own business," the detective told them. He pointed at the man behind Ness. "And there's Drew Neely. See the knife?"
"Yeah," Sam answered.
"That's intent right there," the detective told them. "Now watch this."
Drew jumped Ness from behind. Ness withdrew the First Blade.

The Demon lunged at Ness with an Angel Blade. Ness caught his arm, using the First Blade to slash into his elbow, making him drop the blade, grabbing him, turning around, throwing him into the side of Ness' Car, making him fall to the ground, stepping closer, trying to stab him with the First Blade. The Demon caught her wrist, using it to flip Ness to the ground, twisting her arm.

Ness threw Drew into a nearby glass cabinet, making the glass shatter and Drew fall to the floor.

Ness spun out of the Demon's grip, kicking him in the head, making him fall to the ground. The Demon rolled toward the Angel Blade, picking it up. They both stood. The Demon tried to stab Ness. Ness backed away enough to make him miss, trying to stab him. The Demon spun out of the way, turning to face her just as Ness drove the First Blade into his stomach, killing him with a flash of light, taking the Blade out, pushing the body to the ground. Ness smirked, sighing. Crowley was hidden through the cornfield, watching. He smirked. Ness felt as if she was being watched, turning her head toward him. Crowley had disappeared.

Sam, Dean and the detective watched the footage. Ness stabbed Drew in the heart with the First Blade, killing him.
The detective stopped the footage on a closeup of Ness' face. "Problem is, we don't know if this girl's a hero or a psychopath." He pointed at the image. Dean couldn't look away from the video no matter how much he wanted to. "That's the image that's getting uploaded to the wires."
Sam recovered his voice. "Detective, do you mind if we, uh, take another look at this?"
"Knock yourselves out," the detective told them. "I'll be back in a few."
"All right," Sam told him.
The detective stood, walking out. Dean sat at the desk, rewinding the video to where Ness had killed Drew with the Blade. He slowly went frame-by-frame to the closeup of Ness. Ness' eyes turned black. Sam and Dean were in shock. Dean started to get angry.

The boy brought the printout to the man. "Fax, Dad."
The man sat up. "Who's it from, buddy?"
"Doesn't say," the boy told him. "There's a picture."
"Thanks a lot, bud," the man told him.
The boy walked out, leaving.
The woman stood in the doorway. "Is it her?"
The man looked at the surveillance picture of Ness, looking up at the woman. The woman started to cry. The man started to pack an arsenal of weapons into a military duffle bag.

Sabrina was fighting with a man. She punched him in the face, making his head turn aside, then in the stomach, spinning around, elbowing him in the stomach, turning to face him, backing away. "You do know that Crowley called off the attacks, right?"
"Not all Demons are willing to take the King's orders," the Demon told her.
"Oh, you mean the Abaddon groupies, right?" Sabrina asked. "The ones that wanted to use me and my mom and my dad. Well, I was hurt then. I'm healed now. And I can kick your ass and still save the guy you're wearing without breaking a sweat." The Demon let his eyes turn black. "Come on, then. Bring it on."
The Demon drew an Angel Blade, trying to stab Sabrina. Sabrina caught his arm, hitting him in the elbow, making him drop the blade, turning around, throwing him a few good yards through the woods, making him fall to the ground and roll into a large rock. The Demon groaned in pain, starting to stand. Sabrina appeared next to him, gripping his throat, using tactile power to exorcise the Demon, watching as the Demon smoke slowly started to pour out of his mouth, shimmying toward the ground, burning its way through the grass and into Hell. Sabrina propped the man's body against the rock, kneeling next to him, healing him, white light emanating from her hand, healing his wounds without problem.
The man stirred awake. "What happened?"
Sabrina smiled a small smile. "It's okay. You're gonna be okay. I'm gonna get you home. You're not gonna remember any of this, either."
The man looked at her in confusion. Sabrina put a hand over his head, using magic to wipe his memory clean of the possession and this, teleporting him away. Castiel and Catty walked closer.
"You're getting better," Castiel told her.
Sabrina stood, turning to face them. "I feel better. I'm not just killing Demons, and their vessels with them. I'm saving them and sending the Demons to Hell. And instead of the smoke shooting into the sky like I used to do because I didn't know how to control it, I can do it..."
Castiel nodded in understanding. "Discreetly, without threatening to expose anything. I know."
Catty was teasing her. "Like the one time that you exorcised on the bus and made the Demons blow the roof off that place."
Sabrina laughed. "That's not fair."
Catty smiled, embracing Sabrina. "I'm proud of you, Sabrina."
Sabrina smiled, pulling away. "Thanks, Mom." Castiel and Sabrina embraced. "Thank you for teaching me, Daddy."
"Of course," Castiel told her.
They pulled away.
Sabrina looked at Catty. "Where're Uncle Sam and Uncle Dean?"
"They're out there, following another lead from Ava," Catty answered.
"Catty, I may not have my Grace, but I can help," Castiel told her.
Catty nodded. "I know that. And you are helping, Cas. You taught Sabrina to be better than ever. I just wish that I could help you get your Grace back."
"But we know that well have to go through Metatron to do so," Castiel told them. "I don't want to do that. Metatron will never give up my Grace, unless he has his freedom in return. It's too dangerous."
Catty and Sabrina knew he was right, but they weren't happy about it.

Gas'n'Sip
Sam and Dean were questioning the attendant.
The attendant's nametag said Mickey. "Oh, yeah. The hot girl was was... fiery. Bro came at her, like, 'What?' And she was all like, 'Wha-a-a-at?' And there was a lot of blood."
"Right," Sam told him. "Um... when she came in, did she... say anything?"
"'Where's the booze?'" Mickey answered.
"That's all she said?" Dean asked. "Did she buy anything? Did she--did she use a credit card? Nothing?" Mickey looked at them blankly. "So, some girl comes in, kills a guy in your store on your watch, and you just--you what? Just keep on keeping on?"
"You mean when the girl was stabbing the guy to death ten feet in front of me, and I was having a total code-brown moment in my favorite freaking pants because I thought I was next, did I conduct a field interview?" Mickey asked. "No." He pulled a phone from behind the counter. "Oh, hey. Uh, can you do me a solid?" He pulled out a phone, holding it toward them. "Found this wedged under the TP. I think it's the dead guy's phone, and, uh, if you're heading back to the station..."

Outside
Dean stood outside the Gas-n-Sip, scrolling through Drew's phone, pulling up a text message that read: Ness Singer-Winchester. Amherst Junction, WI, Gas n' Sip B/W 11a-12p. Dean called the number.
Crowley was sitting in a bar, answering the phone. "You're dead."
"Nope," Dean told him. "Just using a dead man's phone."
"Squirrel," Crowley told him. "I knew that me and your wife would be caught eventually."
"My wife is dead, Crowley," Dean told him. "I know you have some freaking Demon parading around in her meat suit, and trust me, you are gonna pay for that."
"Dean, Dean," Crowley told him. "I'm afraid you haven't allowed yourself to dream quite big enough here. Your wife is very much alive, courtesy of the Mark. And the only Demonized soul inside of Vanessa is hers and hers alone. Wee bit more twisted, a little more mangled beyond Human recognition, but I can assure you, all hers. There, now. Feel better?"
"And the, uh, Demons you've been sending to kill my wife, how does Ness feel about that double-cross?" Dean asked.
"If that's what you think is happening, then you're more out of your depths than I thought," Crowley told him.
"I don't know how you did this, what kind of... black magic stunt you pulled, but hear me," Dean told him. "I will save Ness or die trying."
"You know what tickles me about all this?" Crowley asked. "It's what's really eating you up. You don't care that she's a Demon. No, it's that she's having the time of her life. You can't stand the fact that she's mine."
"She's not your pet," Dean told him.
"My pet?" Crowley repeated. "She's my partner in crime. They'll write songs about us, graphic novels. The new Bonnie and Clyde. Ness Singer-Winchester completes me, and that's what makes you lose your chickens."
Dean was very angry at this. "I am going to find you. I am going to save my wife, and then I'm going to kill you dead."
"Well, that's the operative phrase, isn't it?" Crowley asked. "'Find you'. Good luck with that."
Crowley hung up. He looked off into the distance. Ness was getting out of her car, closing the door, walking toward the bar, nodding to the doorman, walking inside. Crowley smirked. Dean looked at Drew's phone, lying the phone next to his own on the hood of the Impala. Dean's phone had traced the call, revealing that Ness and Crowley were at the Black Spur in Beulah, North Dakota. Dean looked up numbly in determination.

Octavia's Camaro pulled up to the campsite. A man was fishing in the river. Hannah and Octavia got of the car, walking closer.
"Daniel," Octavia told him. "What are you fishing for?"
"Trout, mostly," Daniel answered. "They do love a good curly tail grub. Trick is to find that special spot just out the run, where the big ones, the smart ones, are holding low."
"Do they--do they put up much of a fight?" Octavia asked.
"The ones who truly want to be free, they do," Daniel answered. "You're here about our brother who died."
"Does that surprise you?" Octavia asked.
"I can assure you," Daniel told them. "Had he just left us alone, no one wouldn't been harmed."
"His orders were to not leave you alone," Hannah told him. "And you killed him."
"And Heaven sends you," Daniel told them. "What is it about us that we can't seem to get the message?"
"Perhaps it is you who has failed to get the message," Hannah told him. "All of us serve at Heaven's command."
"I suppose," Daniel agreed. "But that was before the fall, wasn't it?"
"You are an Angel, once and forever," Hannah told him.
"Dropped unwillingly, unknowingly, into a strange land," Daniel told them. "A land that, as it turns out, celebrates the free, the individual. For the first time in thousands of years, I have choices. And with each choice... I begin to discover who I really am."
"This is nonsense," Hannah told them.
"Because they don't teach us this in Heaven?" Daniel asked. "Perhaps they should. Then you would understand why it's worth fighting for."
Hannah drew her Angel Blade. "He's taunting us."
"And then what?" Octavia asked. "We kill him?"
"Or he kills us," Hannah told her. "These are orders, Octavia."
"And there is time," Octavia told her.
"To hear more of this?" Hannah asked.
"To convince him to do the right thing," Octavia answered. "Besides, Hannah, we still don't even know where the other one is. The woman."
"You'll have to stay for sunset," Daniel told them. "Nighttime around here is a revelation."
Hannah wasn't happy about this. Octavia, on the other hand, was willing.

Ness sat at the bar. A man was on stage, singing very bad karaoke to 'Imaginary Lover' by Atlanta Rhythm Section. Everyone else in the bar was booing him. Ness smirked, taking a drink.
Crowley arrived, sitting beside her. "Not the best in the world, is he?"
Ness was annoyed. "What are you doing here, Crowley?"
"You and I are long overdue for a chat," Crowley told her.
"I ditched you after I turned into a Demon because you're the reason that I am the way that I am," Ness told him. "And yet you have the idiotic impulse to waltz in here and sit next to me like we're friends."
"There's actually something I'd like to tell you," Crowley told her. "Those Demons that came after you? I sent them."
"You sent those Demons to kill me?" Ness asked.
"To keep you sharp," Crowley answered.
"Really?" Ness asked skeptically.
"If it wasn't for me throwing Demon chum your way, what do you think would've happened?" Crowley asked. "The Mark needs to be sated. Otherwise--"
"Otherwise, I turn into a Demon," Ness finished, letting her eyes turn black. "Yeah. Yeah, I sort of got that six months ago."
Ness let the black fade.
"Just trying to help," Crowley told her.
"You lied," Ness told him.
"What do you think you're talking to here?" Crowley asked. "Does the Tin Man have a sheet-metal willy? Of course I lied."
Ness stood. "Okay."
"Hey, sit down," Crowley told her. Ness raised her eyebrows. "Sit." Ness glared at him, unamused. "I needed to keep you sharp for our future, about which we need to talk."
"Our future?" Ness repeated.
"Our professional future," Crowley told her. Ness sighed, sitting down. "You've howled at the moon. You've bayed. You've done truly extraordinary things that have been massively entertaining."
"You've been watching me, which doesn't come as a surprise, or even creepy, though it should," Ness told him.
"It's time of us to accept what we are and go back to work," Crowley told her.
"Pass," Ness told him.
"I'm the King of the Hell," Crowley told her. "You're now officially a Knight of Hell. Every King needs a Queen."
"You've made this offer to me before," Ness told him. "You said that you needed more power to get a handle over the Abaddon groupies, so you suggested that you take Cas as a vessel, and that I take Catty as a vessel, so we could have the parents of the True Hybrid as leverage so Sabrina would listen to what you say and do whatever you want her to do. I told you then, and I'll tell you again. My answer's no."
Crowley was slightly discouraged, but continued with his pitch. "Think of it. Together we rule. Together, we create the perfect Hell. And all of this never ends. We're not ending the party. We're just moving the party. Out with the club circuit, in with the stadium tour."
"You want me to move the party into Catty Winchester, my sister-in-law's body," Ness told him. "Pass. You want to move your party into Cas, the love of her life that was an Angel but is now a Human's body. Pass. You think just because you're inside their bodies that she'll have no choice but to listen? Pass on all of it. When are you going to learn that you're in way over your head when it comes to Sabrina Winchester? She exorcised Gadreel from Sam's body, and exorcised Abaddon from Catty's body, and smote a Hellhound dead, all while she was hurt and healing from falling from Heaven. She's had six months to heal since the last time we saw her. There's no way your plan is gonna work. This is the part where you give up on your mission."
Crowley didn't answer, standing, turning to leave. He stopped behind her, turning to face Ness. "Oh. Did I forget to mention I spoke to your husband earlier?"
Ness turned in her seat to face him in surprise. "What?"
"Yes," Crowley answered. "Uh, apparently, they all have been tracking us for some time now. He got my text from the cell of that Demon that you stabbed in blah, blah, blah. It was... words were spoke. Emotions. I realize, in retrospect, perhaps too many words, too many emotions, coming from a hunter such as Dean Winchester."
"He traced the call," Ness realized.
Crowley shrugged. "My bad. I guess he'll be here by morning. The latest. And you know that he won't be coming alone."
Ness scoffed, looking down. "You sold me out." She looked up, away to the side. "Well, that's just lovely."
Crowley stepped closer. Ness looked at him critically, bored.
"I don't know what's going on with you," Crowley told her. "I truly don't. Sold you out? Try 'doing you a favor'. Everything I've done for you for the past year, the Mark, the First Blade, midwifing you back to life, offering you a seat by my side... has been a favor, a gift, whether you see it or you don't. Take the night. Decide. You know where to find me."
Crowley walked away, leaving. Ness turned to face the bar, taking a drink.

Night - On the Road
The Impala drove down the road.
§
The Impala
Dean was driving.
Sam was in the passenger seat, hanging up. "All right, Ava's working on Angel leads, but Sabrina zapped Catty and Cas to the bar, and Ness and Crowley are gone. Long gone." Dean took a deep breath in frustration. Sam looked at him sympathetically. "Dean, I'm sorry."
"Don't be, Sammy," Dean told him. "This doesn't change anything."
Sam sighed, looking way. "Dean..."
"I don't want to talk about it anymore, Sam," Dean told him.
"Yeah, well, we need to," Sam told him. "Ness has killed dozens of Demons and beat Human men half to death in the last six months."
"Well, those guys were assholes," Dean told him. "They were abusive, manipulative, rapists or murderers that went after the girls that they cared about. At least she has a type."
"Dean, that's no excuse," Sam told him.
"Sure there is," Dean told him. "It's called Crowley tricking her into taking the Mark and turning into a Demon when all she wanted to do was kill Abaddon to save Catty and Sabrina."
Sam sighed, nodding in agreement. "And in the last six months, it's only gotten worse and worse. It's like it's just building up inside of her and making her lash out even more. One of these times, she is going to explode."
Dean nodded somberly. "I know." The Impala started to die. "What the hell?"
§
On the Road
The Impala pulled over to the side of the road. Sam and Dean got out of the car, walking over to the hood of the car. Dean opened the hood. Another car pulled up behind them.
The man that had gotten faxed Ness' photo got out of the car. "Hey. Need some help?"
"Uh, yeah," Sam answered. "I--I think so. It just died on us."
"Out here?" the man asked.
"Yeah," Sam answered.
"Your ride really has it out for you, huh?" the man asked.
"Oh, no," Dean answered. "This thing is my baby. Well, my car baby. I'm trying to get to my wife. She's in trouble."
"Sorry to hear that," the man told them. He pulled out a tool box from his car. "Give you a hand with that?"
"Yeah," Sam answered. "Yeah, we'd appreciate it. Yeah, thanks."
The man walked closer with the box, looking at the engine from behind Dean and Sam. "Well, right there. There's your problem."
Dean and Sam looked closely at the switch in the engine.
"What the hell is that?" Dean asked.
The man took out a crow bar from the box. "Well, that's a kill switch." He hit Dean in the head with the crow bar hard enough to make him fall unconscious. Sam turned to face them instantly. The man looked at Sam, holding up a remote. "This here is the remote." Sam jumped to defend himself, but with his arm in the sling, it was hard to do so. The man hit Sam in the head with the crow bar hard enough to make him fall unconscious. "Guessing you're a righty."

Campsite
Octavia, Hannah and Daniel were sitting around a campfire.
Daniel looked at Octavia, knowing that she would understand and be able to relate. "What I'll never understand is why Angels won't acknowledge the wisdom to be found down here."
"What wisdom is to be gained from Humans?" Hannah asked.
"I'm not speaking to you," Daniel told her.
Octavia looked down.
Hannah frowned. "Octavia, do you understand what he's..." Octavia looked up, nodding. "Fine." Hannah looked at Daniel. "But if you are to be free, that is to be decided by all Angels."
"There's that Angelic irony," Daniel told them.
A woman walked closer, Angel Blade in hand. "We're not going back there. Not ever."
"Adina," Daniel told her. "This is Hannah and Octavia. Stow the blade, please."
Adina looked at Hannah. "When she stows hers."
Hannah had her Angel Blade out again.
"Hannah, what are you doing?" Octavia asked.
"We'll never get a chance to argue our freedom from a prison cell," Adina told them.
"You should've thought of that before slaughtering one of your own," Hannah told them.
"No, no," Octavia told them. "We were talking." She slowly stood. "We were getting somewhere."
"You want to be free?" Hannah asked. "Go ahead. Be free."
"Hannah," Octavia told her. Adina slashed toward Hannah with her blade. Hannah ducked, slashing toward Adina. Adina ducked, slashing her blade into Hannah's arm, making her bleed with Grace, punching her in the face, making her fall. "Stop this." Adina stalked toward Hannah, raising her blade to finish her off. Octavia caught the blade, pulling it away, pushing Adina away, making her fall to the ground, keeping Adina and Hannah separated. "No." Daniel stood, grabbing an Angel Blade from the ground, standing behind Hannah. "Daniel." Hannah stood. Daniel tried to stab Hannah. "No!"
Octavia caught Daniel's blade, stabbing Daniel with Adina's Angel Blade, killing him, making him flash with bright white light, taking the blade out, letting him fall. Adina stood, running away, leaving.
Hannah looked at Octavia. "We have to get her."
"She's gone," Octavia told her.
"We have to," Hannah told her. "Octavia--"
"Hannah," Octavia told her. "It's over."

Barn
Dean was tied to a chair, a hood over his head. The man led a hooded Sam into the barn, roughly shoving him into the chair next to Dean, tying him to the chair. He pulled the hoods off of their heads. Sam's nose was bleeding. Dean blinked at the sudden light.
"Okay," the man told them. "Home, sweet home. Breathe. There you go. You good, partners? How's that chicken wing?"
"Who are you?" Sam asked.
"First time I broke my arm, my older brother, Davey, had me riding on the handles of his three-speed," the man explained. "Decided to pop us a wheelie, look real fancy for all the little pretties outside the DQ. Well, we were looking mighty good for a little bit. And then, 'whoop'. Ass end over teakettle, boys. Hurt like a son of a bitch. You're Sam and Dean Winchester. I think we all can agree on that." He looked at Dean. "And I'm looking for that wife of yours."
"Why you looking for Ness?" Dean asked.
"Because she can lead me to who I really want," the man answered.
"I wouldn't do that," Sam told him.
"Yeah?" the man asked.
"Trust me," Dean told him. "Look, buddy, I--I don't know who you are, all right? I don't know what you want or what you want with Ness, but if you got any sense, I suggest you turn tail and run back to that army recruiting ad that spit you out in the first place."
The man shook his head. "No. I don't think so."

The Black Spur
Catty, Castiel and Sabrina were here.
Sabrina was pacing, looking at the bar. "They were here. I recognize the scent." She looked at Castiel and Catty. "And Crowley's telling the truth. For once. It's Aunt Ness' scent, it's just... different. Tainted. Wrong." She looked at Catty. "I can tell the difference, because when I was looking for you while Abaddon was possessing you, I smelt both your scents. But this? It's Aunt Ness, definitely. But she's not being possessed."
Catty sighed, holding her head. "I can't believe Ness is a Demon." She sat down at a table, overwhelmed. "Not possessed by a Demon, but an actual... Demon."
Castiel held Catty's shoulder reassuringly. "We'll find her. We'll save her. We'll bring her home. Sabrina, I told you the same thing when Abaddon had possession of Catty. And what happened?"
Sabrina smiled a small smile. "We found her. We saved her. We brought her home."
"Exactly," Castiel told them. "And we'll do the same with Ness. I promise. We'll bring her back from the darkness of the Demonic, and bring her back to her Humanity." He sighed. "There's seemingly nothing but chaos. But not all bad comes from it. Art. Hope. Love. Dreams. Even when things become devastating, we have each other and these things to make sense of what's happening. And they can help us figure out how to get through them to the other side. To the light, and out of the dark."
Catty and Sabrina were both surprised and impressed with his compassionate statement. "Wow."
"Deep," Sabrina told him.
Castiel nodded. "Yes. I like... to be deep."
Catty smiled a small smile, holding Castiel's hand in hers, kissing it. She looked forward, still troubled and concerned, but they were all a little more reassured because of Castiel.

Ness' Car
(Song:) Apocalyptic - Halestorm
Ness was driving, listening to the radio, singing the same song that was the last song played in her old job at TJz before the Demons had burned it down around her in 6.21 Let It Bleed. She was enjoying herself. "I wear my nine-inch heels when we got to bed / I paint the color of my lips blood red / I get so animal like never before / So you press play and I hit record / 'Cause we're dysfunctional / Physical / Always slamming doors / You're a bitch, throwing fits / Always waging wars / Me and you, sad but true / We're not us anymore / But there's still one thing we're good for / I'll give you one last night / So make it twisted / Give you one last shot, go on and hit it / Give you one last time to make me miss it / Baby, love me / Apocalyptic."
Ness' phone rang. She pulled it out, seeing the Caller ID said Dean. She smirked, turning off the radio.
(Song Ends)
Ness answered her phone while still driving, smirking. "Hey, baby. I was just thinking about you, Dean. I left you an open tab at the bar. Knock yourself out."
The man's voice was on the other line. "Well, hell, I just may take you up on that."
Ness let her smirk fade. "And who is this?"
The man was still in the barn nearby where Sam and Dean were tied to their chairs. "Me? Well, I'm karma, sister."
"On my husband's phone?" Ness asked.
"On your husband's phone," the man answered. "Oh, and your, uh, brother-in-law is sitting right here next to him."
"Are they dead?" Ness asked.
"No," the man answered. "Not yet. And as long as you show up where I tell you to show up and tell me what I want to know, they will be just fine."
"And how do I know they're still alive?" Ness asked.
The man turned to Sam and Dean, holding the phone toward them. "Speak." Dean spit in the man's face. The man smirked sarcastically, punching Dean in the face, and then Sam, making them both groan in pain, speaking into the phone. "Proof of life."
"Ness!" Dean told her.
"Got a pen?" the man asked.
"No, you listen to me," Ness told him. "There's no trade. There's no meet up. There's no nothing. Except the 100% guarantee that, somewhere down the road, I will find you, and I will kill you."
"Well, that'll be a cold comfort to your dead husband and his dead brother," the man told her.
"I told them to let me go," Ness told him. "So, whatever jam they're in now, that is their problem."
"Yeah, well, I'll be sure to pass that on to them as I'm slitting Sammy's throat and putting a bullet between Dean-O's eyes, Nessie," the man told her.
"Yeah, you won't have a chance to do that before Catty and Sabrina find you, moron," Ness told him. "And even if you do, they know me. And they know damn sure that if I am one thing, I am a woman of my word."
Ness hung up, continuing to drive, unbothered and unconcerned.
