(Song:) Won't Fall Down - Steve Fister
From 1.20 "Dead Man's Blood", the Impala cruised down the road.
From 1.21 "Salvation", in the motel, John spoke to his children. "Our whole lives, we've been searching for this Demon."
From 1.21 "Salvation", in the Holt House's Rosie's nursery, The Demon approached Ava Holt from behind.
From 1.16 "Shadow", in the motel room, Dean, Sam and Catty were preparing every weapon they had.
From 1.21 "Salvation", on the back road, John and Catty were going through the arsenal in John's trunk.
From 1.07 "Hook Man", in the Sorenson House, Sam walked in with shotgun in hand.
From 1.21 "Salvation", in the motel room, John spoke to his children. "We finally know where this Demon's gonna be."
From 1.21 "Salvation", on the road, John's truck and the Impala drove into Salvation.
John: (voice over from 1.21 Salvation) "And now we know how to kill it."
John spoke to his children on the side of the road. "This ends now. I'm ending it. I don't care what it takes."
Sam was seeing flashes of the Holt House, Ava, Monica and the Demon in Faith's nursery.
John: (voice over from 1.21 Salvation) "A vision?"
Monica slid up the wall to the ceiling, starting to bleed from the belly.
Sam: (voice over from 1.21 Salvation) "Vision or no vision, the fact is, the Demon is coming tonight."
Ava started to cry. "Mommy!"
Sam: (voice over from 1.21 Salvation) "Ava's gonna go through the same hell we went through, except it's gonna be a million times harder because Monica, Levi, Charlie and Faith are gonna die."
From 1.21 "Salvation", in Lincoln outside the warehouse, John checked the fake Colt in his hands.
Meg: (voice over from 1.21 Salvation) "We know you have the gun, John."
From 1.21 "Salvation", in Caleb's House's basement, Meg was on the phone with John. "You just declared war."
"I'll bring you the Colt," John told her.
"The Demon is coming tonight," Sam told them. "The gun is all we got."
From 1.21 "Salvation", on the back road, Dean handed the fake Colt to John.
Catty: (voice over from 1.21 Salvation) "You're gonna hand Meg a fake gun and hope she doesn't notice?"
"I've been waiting a long time for this fight," John told them.
From 1.21 "Salvation", in the Impala outside the Holt House, Catty spoke to Sam and Dean from the backseat. "Nobody's dying tonight. Not us, not that family, nobody."
From 1.21 "Salvation", in the warehouse in Lincoln, Meg turned to face John. "Why don't you hand over the gun?"
"Maybe I'll just shoot you," John told her.
"There's more where I came from," Meg told him.
From 1.21 "Salvation", outside the Holt House, the Winchester siblings saw the lights flickering.
"It's coming," Sam told them.
From 1.21 "Salvation", in the Holt House, Sam ran into Faith's nursery, freezing when he saw the Demon.
From 1.21 "Salvation", in the warehouse, the other male Demon shot Meg in the chest with the fake Colt.
"I can't believe you just shot me!" Meg told him.
The male Demon looked at John, tossing the fake Colt aside. "Fake."
From 1.21 "Salvation", in the Holt House's Faith's nursery, Sam aimed the real Colt at the Demon, shooting. The Demon disappeared into smoke.
From 1.21 "Salvation", outside the Holt House, fire exploded out of Faith's nursery window.
From 1.21 "Salvation", in the warehouse, the male Demon and Meg looked at John dangerously.
John looked between them, not showing a reaction.
From 1.21 "Salvation", outside the Holt House, Sam started to run inside the burning house.
Dean and Catty held Sam back.
"Sam, no!" Catty told him.
"Let me go!" Sam told them. "It's still in there!"
"The house is burning to the ground," Dean told him. "It's suicide!"
Sam struggled. "I don't care!"
"We do!" Catty told him.
From 1.21 "Salvation", outside the warehouse, John was suddenly pushed against the wall, dropping his phone.
The male Demon walked closer, smiling.
From 1.21 "Salvation", in the motel room, John was on the phone with Meg.
"You know, I'm pretty close to South Dakota," Meg told him. "I bet your old friends, Bobby and Ness Singer are just itching for a Demon to come knocking on their door." John didn't answer, closing his eyes angrily. "If you do decide to make it, to save Bobby and Ness, come alone."
John looked at his kids. "If I don't go, a lot of people die. Our friends die. Starting with Bobby and Ness Singer."
From 1.21 "Salvation", in the motel room, Sam spoke to Catty. "That thing killed Jessica. That thing killed Mom. That thing nearly killed you and Dean, Catty."
From 1.09 "Home", in Jenny's House's kitchen, Mary turned into flame, soaring toward the ceiling.
Dean: (voice over from 1.21 Salvation) "They're gone, and they're never coming back."
From 1.21 "Salvation", in the motel room, Sam grabbed Dean by his shirt, pushing him against the wall. "Don't you say that, not after all this."
Catty separated them, standing between them. "Stop it. Both of you."

Same Night - Same Scene
Day One
Night - Unknown Location
John's phone sat on a bench, ringing.
Meg wandered over, picking it up. She looked at the Caller ID, smiling to herself, answering. "You and your boys really screwed up this time, Chatty Catty."
Catty at Sam and Dean in realization, angry at Meg. "Where is he?"
Sam and Dean looked at Catty worriedly.
"You're never gonna see your father again," Meg told her.
Catty could barely react, closing her eyes, lowering her head.
Meg hung up, putting the phone down, walking away.

Salvation, Iowa
Motel Room
Catty hung up. "They've got Dad."
"Meg?" Sam asked. Catty nodded. "What did she say?"
"I just told you, Sammy," Catty told him, a hand going to her head. "Okay. Okay."
Dean picked up the Colt from the dresser, putting it in his holster.
"What are you doing, Dean?" Sam asked.
Dean grabbed his bag from the bed. "We got to go."
"Why?" Sam asked.
"Because the Demon knows we're in Salvation," Dean answered, pulling on his jacket. "It knows we've got the Colt. It's probably coming for us next."
"We've still got three bullets left," Sam told them.
"Listen, tough guy, we're not ready," Catty told him. "Okay? We don't know how many of them are out there. We're no good to anybody dead."
"We're leaving," Dean told them. "Now."
Dean walked toward the door.
Sam looked at Catty.
Catty nodded.

(Song:) Turn to Stone - Joe Walsh and Barnstorm
The Impala was speeding down the road, taking a turn sideways.
§
The Impala
Dean was driving.
Catty was in the passenger seat.
Sam was in the backseat. "I'm telling you, guys, we could've taken him."
"What we need is a plan," Catty told them. "They're keeping Dad alive. We've got to figure out where. They're gonna want to trade him for the gun." Sam glanced at Catty and Dean, shaking his head, looking out the windshield. "What?"
"Catty, if that were true, why didn't Meg mention a trade?" Sam asked. "Dad, he might be—"
"Don't," Catty told him.
"I don't want to believe it any more than you two, but if he is, all the more reason to kill this damn thing," Sam told them. "We still have the Colt. We can still finish the job."
"Screw the job, Sam!" Dean told him.
"Dean, I'm just trying to do what he would want," Sam told him. "He would want us to keep going."
"Would you quit talking about him like he's dead already?" Catty asked.
"Listen to me," Dean told them. "Everything stops until we get him back. You understand me? Everything."
"So, how do we find him?" Sam asked.
"Maybe we go to Lincoln," Dean told them. "Start at the warehouse where he was taken."
"Come on, Dean," Catty told him. "You really think these Demons are gonna leave a trail?"
"You're right," Dean told her. "We need help. Bobby and Ness."

Day Two
Morning - Singer Salvage Yard
The Impala drove through the entrance to the Singer Salvage yard, driving toward the house that was built on the premises.
§
Singer House - Living Room
An elder man, Bobby, was sitting at the desk.
Sam was sitting across from him. They were going through books.
Dean and Catty were standing together.
A brunette woman, Ness, walked toward them, with two flasks, handing Dean and Catty each one. "Here you go."
"What is this, Holy Water?" Catty asked.
Ness nodded to the flask in Catty's hand. "That one is." She nodded to the one in Dean's hand. "That is whiskey."
Dean seemed slightly surprised by Ness's appearance, taking a drink of whiskey. Ness noticed the way Dean was looking at her, looking at him, taking the flask from him, taking a drink.
Catty looked between them, smirking, walking away. "Bobby, Ness, thanks. Thanks for everything. To tell you the truth, I wasn't sure if we should come. But, Sam's out for revenge, and Dean's extremely set on finding Dad, and, like we always say, it's two against one. I just hope you guys don't get hurt for helping us."
"Nonsense," Bobby told her. "Your daddy needs help."
"The last time we saw you, you did threaten to blast him full of buckshot," Catty told him. "You cocked the shot gun and everything."
Ness and Dean exchanged a look because they both knew something they didn't, smirking, taking a drink.
Bobby looked at Ness and Dean knowingly, but spoke to Sam and Catty. "Yeah, well, what can I say? John just has that effect on people."
"Yeah, I guess he does," Dean agreed.
"None of that matters now," Ness told them. "All that matters is that you get him back."
"Bobby, Ness, this book," Sam told them, chuckling. "I've never seen anything like it."
Bobby looked up. "Key of Solomon? It's the real deal, all right."
"And these protective circles, they really work?" Sam asked.
"Hell, yeah," Bobby answered. "You get a Demon in one, they're trapped. They're powerless. It's like a Satanic roach motel."
Sam smiled, chuckling.
Catty sat on the desk next to Bobby and Sam.
Dean and Ness walked closer to them.
"The man knows his stuff," Ness told them. "Where you guys think I get it all? I'll tell you something else, too. This is some serious crap you guys stepped in."
"Oh, yeah?" Sam asked. "How's that?"
"Normal year, I hear, say, three Demonic possessions, maybe four, tops," Ness told them.
"Yeah?" Catty asked.
"This year, I heard of 27 so far," Ness told them. "You get what I'm saying? More and more Demons are walking among us. A lot more."
"Do you know why?" Sam asked.
"No," Bobby answered. "But we know it's something big. The storm's coming, and you three, your daddy, you are smack in the middle of it." The dog outside started to bark. Bobby stood, walking toward the window. "Rumsfeld." Rumsfeld stopped barking, whining. "What is it?"
Ness looked out the window to see the chain hanging broken, Rumsfeld nowhere in sight. "Something's wrong."
Sam and Catty stood.
The front door was kicked in by Meg. She walked closer.
Ness took out the flask of Holy Water.
"No more crap, okay?" Meg asked.
Ness unscrewed the lid off the flask, walking toward Meg.
Meg used magic to throw Ness into the stack of books at the side of the room, making her fall to the floor.
Sam, Catty and Dean stood in front of Bobby.
"I want the Colt," Meg told them. "The real Colt, right now."
Sam, Catty, Dean and Bobby backed away from her into the other room, a library.
"We don't have it on us," Sam told her. "We buried it."
Meg stalked in after them. "Didn't I say, 'No more crap'? I swear, after everything I heard about you Winchesters, I've got to tell you, I'm a little underwhelmed. First Johnny tries to pawn off a fake gun, and then he leaves the real gun with you three chuckleheads, who come to Bobby and Ness Singer, the two hunters that I was going to kill to get to the four of you. Lackluster, guys. I mean, did you really think I wouldn't find you?"
Ness walked closer, leaning against the doorway to the room. "Actually, we were counting on it." Meg turned to face Ness, looking at her in confusion. Ness shrugged slightly, nonchalantly, looking at the ceiling. Meg followed her gaze to the Devil's Trap designed onto the ceiling above her head, trapping her inside, leaving her powerless. Meg looked at Ness, actually looking at little bit scared. Ness smirked smugly. "Gotcha."

Library
Meg was tied to a chair within the design of the Devil's Trap.
Dean and Sam stood nearby. Ness and Catty sat next to them, watching her.
"You know, if you wanted to tie me up, all you had to do was ask," Meg told them.
Bobby walked in, having a container of salt.
"Dad?" Ness asked.
"I salted the doors and windows," Bobby told them. "If there are any Demons out there, they ain't getting in."
Catty stood, looking at Meg. "Where's our father, Meg?"
"You didn't ask very nice," Meg told her.
Catty smirked without humor. "Where's our father, bitch?"
"Jeez," Meg told her. "You kiss your mother with that mouth? Oh, I forgot. You don't."
Catty leaned forward against the chair arms on either side of Meg angrily. "You think this is a freaking game? Where is he? What did you do to him?"
"He died screaming," Meg told them. "I killed him myself." Catty backed away before she lost her temper, turning away. Dean stalked forward, backhand slapping Meg in the face. Meg looked at Dean, smirking. "That's kind of a turn-on. You hitting a girl."
"You're no girl," Dean told her.
Ness nodded for him to follow her. "Dean."
Ness walked into the next room.
Sam, Dean, Catty and Bobby followed.
§
Other Room
Sam looked at Dean and Catty. "You okay?"
"She's lying," Catty told them. "He's not dead."
"Dean, you've got to be careful with her," Ness told him. "Don't hurt her."
"Why?" Dean asked.
"Because she really is a girl," Ness answered. "That's why."
"What are you talking about?" Sam asked.
"She's possessed," Ness answered. "That's a Human possessed by a Demon. Can't you tell?"
They looked toward Meg.
"Ness, are you trying to tell me there's an innocent girl trapped somewhere in there?" Dean asked.
Ness nodded. "That's why you gotta be careful, Dean."
Catty looked from Meg to the others. "That's actually good news."
§
Library
Ness stood in front of Meg. She looked at Sam, Dean and Catty.
"Are you gonna tell me a story?" Meg asked.
"Something like that," Dean answered. "Hit it, Ness."
From memory, Ness started the exorcism spell. "Regna terrae, cantate deo, psallite domino..."
Meg looked at Ness in annoyance. "An exorcism? Are you serious?"
"We're going for it, baby," Catty told her. "Head spinning, projectile vomiting, the whole nine yards."
Ness continued. "Tribuite virtutem deo."
Meg moaned in pain, looking at Catty. "I'm gonna kill you." She looked at and Sam and Dean. "I'm gonna rip the bones from your bodies." She looked at Ness. "I'm gonna strip the skin from your bones."
"No, you're gonna burn in Hell unless you tell us where our dad is," Catty told her. Meg didn't answer, smirking. "Well, at least you'll get a nice skin tan."
"Ness," Dean said for her to keep going.
Ness continued. "Exorcizamus te, omnis immundus spiritus, omnis satanica potestas, omnis incusio infernalis adversarit, omnis legio, omnis congregatio et secta diabolica."
Meg started to shake, yelling out once in pain, making Ness pause. "He begged for his life with tears in his eyes. He begged to see his children one last time. That's when I slit his throat."
Meg breathed heavily, glaring at them in pain-filled hatred.
Ness continued. "Ergo..."
Catty leaned closer to Meg. "For your sake, I hope you're lying. 'Cause if it's true, I swear to God, I will march into Hell myself, and I will slaughter each and every one of you evil son of bitches, so help me God."
Ness continued the spell. "Perditionis venenum propinare. Vade, satana, inventor et magister omnis fallaciae." An open book on a nearby table started to flip through its pages. "Hostis humanae salutis. Humiliare sub potenti manu dei, contremisce et effuge, invocato a nobis sancto et terribili nomine, quem inferi tremunt."
Meg yelled out in pain.
"Where is he?" Catty asked.
"You just won't take 'Dead' for an answer, will you?" Meg asked.
"Where is he?" Catty demanded.
"Dead!" Meg told her.
"No, he's not!" Catty told her. "He's not dead! He can't be!" Sam and Dean looked at Catty in concern over her getting upset and angry. "What are you looking at?" Catty looked at Ness. "Keep reading."
Ness continued. "Ab insidiis diaboli, libera nos, domine." Meg started to shake, closing her eyes in pain. "Ut ecclesiam tuam secura tibi facias libertate, servire, te rogamus, audi nos." Meg screamed. The chair she was sitting on started to slide over the floor, never leaving the Devil's Trap. "Ut inimicos sanctae ecclesiae humiliare digneris, te rogamus audi—"
"He will be!" Meg told them.
Catty held a hand toward Ness to stop her. "Wait." She looked at Meg. "What?"
"He's not dead, but he will be after what we do to him," Meg told them.
"How do we know you're telling the truth?" Dean asked.
"You don't," Meg answered.
"Ness," Dean told her.
Ness took a deep breath to continue the exorcism from memory.
"A building!" Meg told them. "Okay? A building in Jefferson City."
"Missouri?" Dean asked. "Where? Where? An address."
"I don't know," Meg told them.
"And the Demon, the one we're looking for, where is it?" Sam asked.
"I don't know," Meg told them. "I swear. That's everything. That's all I know."
Catty looked at Meg, but spoke to Ness. "Finish it."
"What?" Meg asked. "I told you the truth."
Catty circled around Meg. "I don't care."
"You bitch," Meg told her. "You promised."
"We lied," Dean told her. "Ness?" Ness hesitated. Dean looked at her. "Ness." He walked closer. "What are you doing?"
Sam turned after Catty and Dean. "We can still use her, find out where the Demon is."
"She doesn't know," Catty told them.
"She lied," Sam told them.
"If we finish this..." Ness trailed off.
"If?" Dean repeated. "Ness, there's an innocent girl trapped somewhere in there. We've got to help her."
"You're gonna kill her," Bobby told them.
Catty looked at Bobby in confusion. "What?"
"You said she fell from a building," Bobby told them. He looked at Meg. "That girl's body is broken. The only thing keeping her alive is that Demon inside. You exorcise it, the girl is gonna die."
"Listen to us," Dean told them. "We are not gonna leave her like that."
"She is a Human being," Ness told them.
"And we're gonna put her out of her misery," Dean told her. "Ness, finish it." Ness looked at Meg. "Finish it."
Ness exhaled, finishing it. "Dominicos sanctae ecclasiae." Meg started to shake again, groaning in pain. Ness circled around her. "Terogamus audi nos. Terribilis deus de sanctuario suo deus israhel." Meg's head spun. She looked up, her eyes completely black. "Ipse tribuite virtutem et fortitudinem plebi suae. Benedictus deus. Gloria patri."
Meg screamed, looking up. The Demon's essence, a black smoke, filed out of her mouth, toward the ceiling, disappearing, going back to Hell. Her head lowered, faint and unconscious. Blood started to drip from her mouth.
Ness sighed.
The Human Meg woke up weakly, wheezing softly, groaning in pain.
Ness looked at Meg in shock. "She's still alive." She looked at Bobby. "Call 911. Get some water and blankets."
Bobby walked out of the room, leaving.
Sam and Ness knelt next to Meg, untying the binds on her wrists.
"Thank you," Meg told them weakly.
"Shh," Ness told her. "Shh, just take it easy, all right?"
"Thank you," Meg repeated.
"Sh," Ness told her.
"Come on," Dean told them. "Let's get her down." Sam, Dean, Catty and Ness lifted Meg from the chair, making her groan in pain. "Sorry, sorry."
They laid her on the floor.
Ness cradled Meg's head, holding it up slightly to help her breathe. "I've got you. I've got you. It's okay. It's okay."
Meg strained to speak. "A year."
"What?" Catty asked.
"It's been a year," Meg told them.
"Just take it easy," Ness told her.
"I've been awake for some of it," Meg told them, gasping for breath. "I couldn't move my own body. The things I did. It's a nightmare."
"Was it telling us the truth about our dad?" Dean asked.
"Dean," Ness told him.
"We need to know, Ness," Dean told her.
"Yes," Meg answered. "But it wants... you to know that... they want you to come for him."
"If Dad's still alive, none of that matters," Catty told them.
Bobby walked in with water and blankets.
Sam and Bobby covered her with the blankets.
Ness held Meg's head up gently so she could drink.
Catty held the glass of water.
Meg coughed, having to hold Ness' hand, squeezing weakly just to get through the pain.
"Where is the Demon we're looking for?" Sam asked.
"Not there," Meg answered, gasping for breath. "Other ones. Awful ones."
"Where are they keeping our dad?" Catty asked.
"By the river," Meg answered. "Sunrise."
"'Sunrise'?" Dean repeated. "What does that mean?" Meg didn't answer. "What does that mean?"
Meg couldn't answer, drifting off, holding Ness' hand tighter.
"I'm sorry," Ness told her.
Meg's eyes drifted closed, exhaling for the last time. She slowly loosened her grip on Ness' hand.
Ness closed her eyes in guilt.
§
Other Room
Bobby, Ness, Dean, Catty and Sam walked toward the door.
"You better hurry up and beat it," Bobby told them. "Before the paramedics get here." He handed the Key of Solomon book to Sam. "Here. Take this. You might need it."
"Thanks," Sam told them.
"Thanks, for everything," Catty told them.
"You guys think you can take on how many Demons with just the three of you?" Ness asked. "You don't know how many there are, and you heard what Meg said. They're awful, and they'll outnumber you by a landslide. So, I've been in the hunting biz as long as you have. One more hand couldn't hurt."
"No," Dean told her. "Ness, you could get—"
"And so could you, Dean," Ness replied. "Sorry, but not taking no for an answer."
Catty smirked barely.
Sam looked at Bobby. "You have nothing to say about this? Nothing to say about Ness going into battle to help us?"
"You think I can tell her what to do?" Bobby asked.
Ness smirked, looking at Sam, Dean and Catty. "Sorry, guys, but while my dad deals with the cops, I'm gonna help you find your dad. Or at least help you get in and out of there alive. All right?"
Catty slowly nodded. "All right."
"And when you do, you bring him around, would you?" Bobby asked. "I won't even try to shoot him this time."
Sam and Dean relented, nodding.
Ness walked past them, getting her jacket, walking out the door.
Sam, Dean and Catty followed.
§
Jefferson City, Missouri
River
The Impala was parked next to the river.
Sam, Dean and Catty stood outside.
Sam had the book that Bobby had given him lying on the ceiling of the car, looking through it, sighing.
Dean and Catty stood at the trunk, going through the arsenal.
Dean looked at Catty. "Where'd Ness go again?"
"Scouting out the place," Catty answered. "The Demons have our faces. They don't have Ness'."
Dean sighed. "So, maybe it was a good idea to bring Ness."
Catty pulled her hair into a ponytail. "You think?"
"Anything that you can think of," Dean told her. "Meg said different, awful Demons. We're gonna need more than our usual weaponry."
Catty nodded, taking out the Colt, cocking it.
Sam looked at Catty. "You've been quiet."
"Just getting ready," Catty told them.
"He's gonna be fine, Catty," Dean told her. Catty didn't answer. Sam picked up the book, walking toward them, wiping the dust on the lid of the trunk away, drawing something onto it. "Dude, what are you drawing on my car?"
"It's called a Devil's Trap," Sam answered. "Demons can't get through it or inside it."
Sam drew a triangle with a few embellishments and a pentagram inside a circle within the triangle.
"So?" Dean asked.
"It basically turns the trunk into a lock box," Sam answered, walking to the other side of the trunk, drawing the same design onto the other side of the lid.
"So?" Dean asked.
"So, we have a place to hide the Colt while we got get Dad," Sam answered.
"What are you talking about?" Catty asked. "We're bringing the Colt with us."
"We can't, Cat," Sam told her. "We've only got three bullets left. We can't just use them on any Demon. We've got to use them on the Demon."
Catty walked toward Sam. "No, we have to save Dad, Sam, okay? We're gonna need all the help we can get."
"Catty, you know how pissed Dad would be if we used all the bullets?" Dean asked. Catty put the Colt into her inner jacket pocket. "Cat, he wouldn't want us to bring the gun."
"I don't care, Dean!" Catty told him. "I don't care what Dad wants, okay?" She looked at Sam. "And since when do you care what Dad wants?"
"We want to kill this Demon," Sam told her. "You used to want that, too. Hell, you're the ones who came and got me at school. You're the ones who dragged me into this. I'm just trying to finish it."
Catty looked down, shaking her head. "Well, you and Dad are a lot more alike than I thought. You know that? You both can't wait to sacrifice yourself for this thing." She looked at Dean. "And I have no idea where your head's at right now, but if I know you the way that I think I do, and that's pretty damn well, then I know for a fact that you're just gonna be standing right by their side. But you know what? I'm gonna be the one to bury all of you."
"You know what, Catty?" Dean asked. "You're right. Normally I'd be right by their side. But this is different. This is bigger than all of us. And I just want us to get out of this alive." He looked at Sam. "But that seems to be about number 10 on your list, Sam. You're selfish, you know that? You don't care about anything but revenge."
"That's not true, Dean," Sam told him. "I want Dad back, but they are expecting us to bring this gun. They get the gun, they will kill us all. That Colt is our only leverage, and both of you know it. We cannot bring that gun. We can't."
Catty looked up. "Fine."
"I'm serious, Catty," Sam told her.
"I said, 'Fine,' Sam," Catty told him, taking the Colt out of her jacket, putting it into the trunk.
Dean's phone rang. He took it out, looking at the Caller ID, answering, putting it on speaker. "Yeah, Ness, you're on speaker."
Ness was standing next to a brush, a bag over her shoulder. "Think I know what Meg meant by Sunrise, Dean." She looked across the street to the apartment building with a sign out front that said: 'Sunrise Apartments'. "There's an apartment complex called Sunrise. It's pretty smart, too. I mean, these Demons can possess anybody inside."
"Yeah, and make anybody attack us," Dean agreed.
"And so we can't kill them," Catty told them. "A building full of Human shields."
"They probably know exactly what we look like, too," Sam told them. "And they could look like anybody."
"Yeah, this sucks out loud," Dean told them.
"Tell me about it," Catty told them.
Dean looked at the phone. "All right, Ness, how the hell are we going to get in?"
Ness shrugged. "Dean, they don't know what the hell I look like. Most likely. I'll just walk in and pull the fire alarm, get out all the civilians."
"Okay, but then the city responds in, what, seven minutes?" Sam asked.
"Seven minutes exactly," Ness answered. "Get here now. Stay hidden."
"Why?" Dean asked. "Ness? What else are you planning?"

Sunrise Apartments - Outside
Ness smirked, still on the phone. "You'll see."
Ness hung up, walking across the street.
§
Inside - Hallway
Ness walked inside, walking down the hall toward the fire alarm on the wall, about to pull it.
A man walked down the other hallway.
Ness walked toward the stairs as if she was going to walk upstairs.
The man walked out of the building, leaving.
Ness walked toward the alarm, pulling the handle, making it go off.

A man and woman were sitting almost motionless at a table in one of the apartments. They looked up as the alarm went off.

Hallway
A man walking down a hallway stopped when he heard the alarm, looking up. He turned to face another man down the hallway. They both shared a long, knowing look.

Ness walked out, leaving.

The man stood, walking toward the bedroom door, opening it to reveal John tied to the bed inside.
John was unconscious but breathing.

Outside
People were pouring out of the building.
The fire department was already there.
Ness walked toward a fire man. "Hey, what's happening? Is it a fire?"
"We're figuring that our right now, ma'am," the fireman told her. "Just stay back."
"I got a Yorkie upstairs, and he pees when he's nervous," Ness told him.
The fireman guided Ness back. "Miss, you have to stay back."
Sam, Catty, and Dean took advantage of the distraction Ness provided for them, walking behind the fire trucks to get access to their uniforms. They found the compartment. Sam picked the lock.
§
Inside - Hallway
Sam, Dean and Catty were in firemen disguises, waiting.
Ness walked toward them, chuckling. "Wow. You three look like dorks dressing up for Halloween."
"Ness, for us, every day is Halloween," Sam told her.
"Yeah, whatever, Sam," Ness told him. She took their water hoses, kneeling to the floor, pulling out a rosary bead necklace, putting it into the water supply, chanting. "Exorcizo te, creatura aquae. In nomine dei patris omnipotentis et in virtute spiritus sancti." She took the rosary out of the water supply, standing, turning to face Sam, Dean and Catty. "We're ready to go."
"Ness, about that..." Catty trailed off.
"I said we're ready to go, Catty," Ness told her. "I'm not gonna leave you out here to hang and dry. We're gonna be splitting up to do our jobs, but I'm not leaving until we're done. See you on the other side."
Sam, Dean and Catty nodded.
Ness walked down the hallway past them, leaving.
Sam, Dean and Catty walked down the opposite direction.
Dean took out the EMF, searching from room to room as they walked past. "I'm not sure about leaving Ness alone."
"Ness has got this as much as we do," Catty told them.
"Yeah, and I'm not even sure that we got this," Dean told them.
The EMF started to beep.
They exchanged a look, knowing that Demons were right inside.
§
Apartment
The woman was sitting with her head down.
There was a knock on the door.
The woman looked up. Her eyes were completely, Demon black.
The woman and the man walked toward the door, looking out through the peep hole.
"This is the fire department," Sam told them. "We need you to evacuate."
They unlocked the door.
Sam, Dean and Catty pushed it open, making the man standing behind it back into the fridge, and making the woman standing behind it fall back onto the table behind her. They sprayed both of them with Holy Water hoses that Ness had made for them, making their skin burn continuously.
Sam and Dean pushed the man into an open closet door.
Catty lifted the woman off of the table, punching her in the face, grabbing her by her shirt, turning around, pushing her into the closet next to the man.
Sam and Dean slammed the door closed, leaning against it to keep them from busting out.
Catty ran to the bag on the floor, grabbing the container of salt, pouring it around Sam and Dean's feet and the door to keep the Demons from crossing over it.
The pounding on the door stopped.
Sam and Dean stepped over the line of salt without breaking it.
All of them took the helmets off, the gear, the jackets, revealing their normal clothes underneath.
Sam grabbed the bag from the floor. "Come on."
§
Hallway
Ness walked down the hall toward where the main fire alarm was, setting down her bag, unzipping it to reveal weapons and tools. She picked up a screw driver, using it to open the back of the fire alarm, using the sharp part to cut the right wire. She rewired it the way that she wanted to, taking out a small device chip, connecting it to the wires inside, closing the back of the fire alarm. She put the tools back into the bag, looking around, walking away.
§
Apartment - Room
The room was slowly pushed open, revealing Sam, Dean and Catty looking inside to see John.
Catty walked closer. "Dad." She leaned closer, straining to hear anything that confirmed life. "He's still breathing. Dad, wake up. Dad!"
Catty took out a knife, about to cut off the binds around his wrist.
"Wait," Sam told her.
"What?" Catty asked.
"He could be possessed, for all we know," Sam told them.
"What, are you nuts?" Dean asked.
Catty sighed, letting go. "Dean, he's right. We got to be sure."
Sam pulled out the flask of Holy Water they had gotten from Ness, unscrewing the lid, splashing it over John.
John started to wake up, but nothing else happened. He looked up. "Sam?" He sighed. "Why are you splashing water on me?"
Sam chuckled.
"Dad, are you okay?" Catty asked.
"They've been drugging me," John told them, sighing. "Where's the Colt?"
"Don't worry, Dad, it's safe," Dean told him.
Catty didn't look at them, cutting the ties around John's wrist.
"Good, kids," John told them. "Good, kids."
§
Outside
A fireman was talking on his radio.
A group of people looked on.
The two men from the hallway before, now in police uniform, walked toward the building. They turned to face the fireman, their eyes black.
The fireman's eyes turned black.
The three of them walked into the building.
§
Inside - Hallway
Ness was spreading salt over the windows and doors quickly, quietly and smoothly, staying as hidden as possible.
§
Apartment - Room
Sam, Dean and Catty had gotten John completely cut free.
Sam and Dean each had an arm of John's over their shoulders, helping him walk.
Catty led the way toward the door with the bag of weapons over her shoulder.
The door was kicked in by the man and woman from the closet.
"Go!" Catty told them. "Go! Back, back!"
The boys backed into the room.
Catty followed them, closing the door quickly, locking in.
A fire emergency ax slashed through the door.
§
Hallway
Ness walked along the hallway.
The three Demons, the two police officers and the fireman from outside walked toward her.
Ness looked at them, thinking that they were Human and ready to take her outside. "Yeah, I'm in trouble, aren't I?"
The Demons' eyes turned black.
"Yeah, I'd say so," the fireman told her.
Ness was only slightly nervous.
§
Apartment - Room
Catty knelt to the floor, spreading a line of salt in front of the door to stop the Demons from coming in.
The ax continued to slash into the door.
Catty stood, backing away, toward the window.
Sam, Dean and John had already crawled out of the window.
"Catty, let's go!" Dean told her. "And where the hell is Ness?"
Catty tossed the bag toward Dean, climbing out.
§
Hallway
The two Demon police officers had their guns drawn, firing.
Ness was using the wall as cover, holding her own shotgun, turning, firing at the Demons, hitting them in the chest, making them stagger. She shot them again, making them fall to the floor. She looked to make sure the coast was clear, starting to run down the hall.
The police Demons started to fire again.
Ness ducked to the floor, somersaulting behind another wall.
The fireman Demon appeared in front of her.
Ness tried to shoot him with the rock salt shell shotgun.
The fireman Demon used magic to push the gun out of her hands, pushing her against the wall in the same way, pinning her with magic.
Ness couldn't move any part of her body. She looked at the fire alarm next to her head.
§
Fire Escape
Sam and John stood at the bottom of the fire escape. Sam was helping John stand, walking away from the apartment building.
The Demons were chasing Dean and Catty down the fire escape.
Dean turned to shoot one in the chest with a shotgun.
§
Hallway
The fireman Demon stalked closer to Ness.
Ness was still pinned to the wall, smirking. "Thanks."
The fireman stopped in confusion.
Ness forced her arm to move with all the strength she had, pulling the fire alarm.
Instead of an alarm blaring through the apartment, it was Ness' voice speaking an exorcism. "Regna terrae, cantate deo, psallite domino tribuite virtutem deo."
The fireman and the police Demons were already in pain, covering their ears, trying to tune the exorcism out.
§
Fire Escape
Dean, Catty and the Demons could hear the exorcism.
Ness: (exorcism over the fire alarm system) "Exorcizamus te, omnis immundus spiritus, omnis satanica potestas."
The Demons stopped in pain, covering their ears, trying to tune the exorcism out.
Ness: (exorcism over the fire alarm system) "Omnis incuriso infernalis adversarii, omnis legio, omnis congregatio et secta diabolica."
The Demons started to shake.
Dean smirked. "That's Ness." Dean and Catty ran forward, pushing the Demons back into the apartment window, closing the window tightly. Catty poured a line of salt so they couldn't get out. "Thank you, Ness."
§
Alley
Sam and John could not hear the exorcism. Sam helped John down the alley toward the Impala, helping him sit down against the building next to them, turning back, waiting for Dean and Catty worriedly.
§
Apartment
The Demons ran for the front door to get out, trying to open it. All they ended up doing was rattling it.
Ness: (exorcism over the fire alarm system) "Ergo perditionis venenum propinare. Vade, satana, inventor et magister omnis fallaciae."
On the other side of the door, it was revealed they couldn't get out because Ness had poured a line of salt in front of all the apartment doors after they had gone in.
§
Another Hallway
Other Demons were walking down the wall toward the Winchesters' former room. They stopped when the exorcism became louder, holding their heads, groaning in pain. They ran around, trying to find an exit.
The Demons couldn't get out because Ness had poured a line of salt in front of all the apartment doors after they had gone in there.
Ness: (exorcism over the fire alarm system) "Humiliare sub potenti manu dei. Contremisce et effuge."
§
Hallway
Ness was still pinned to the wall.
The fireman and the police Demons were running toward separate doors and windows, trying to open them, banging and shaking.
Ness: (exorcism over the fire alarm system) "Invocato a nobis sancto et terribile nomine. Quem inferi tremunt ab insidis diaboli, libera nos, domine."
The Demons couldn't get out because there were lines of salt in front of every exit in the hallway.
Ness smirked smugly at the Demons' pain, starting to chant along with her recorded exorcism. "Ut ecclesiam tuam secura tibi facis, libertate servire, te rogams, audi nos."
§
Another Hallway
Other Demons were trying to find a way to escape, their heads turning demonically like Meg's had. Everywhere they had tried, their was salt blocking their way.
Ness: (exorcism over the fire alarm system) "Ut inimicos sanctae ecclesiae humiliare digneris, to rogamus audi."
The Demons stopped fighting. They looked up, screaming, smoke blowing out of their mouths, leaving, going to Hell. The bodies fell to the floor, unconscious, at least.
§
Apartment
Ness: (exorcism from fire alarm system) "Dominicos sanctae ecclesiae, terogamus audi nos, terribilis deus do sanctuario suo deus israhel."
The Demons stopped fighting. They looked up, screaming, smoke blowing out of their mouths, leaving, going to Hell. The bodies fell to the floor, unconscious, at least.
§
Hallway
Ness: (exorcism over the fire alarm system) "Ipse tribuite virtutem et fortitudinem plebi suae, benedictus deus, gloria patri."
The Demons stopped fighting. They looked up, screaming, smoke blowing out of their mouths, leaving, going to Hell. The bodies fell to the floor, unconscious, at least.
With the Demons gone, Ness was left falling to the floor.
Ness caught herself from falling completely, breathing heavily in relief. She looked up, smirking. She sighed in relief, sitting up, leaning back against the wall behind her.
§
Outside - Alley
Dean and Catty walked toward Sam and John, breathing heavily.
"Thank God for Ness," Dean told them.
"Did Ness do the exorcism?" Sam asked.
"Yeah," Catty answered. "Didn't you guys hear it?"
John shook his head weakly. "No."
"No, we didn't," Sam answered. "Where's Ness?"
"She's gonna handle the cops for us," Dean answered. "Then Ness is out of here, too."
Sam nodded.
Dean and Catty took John's arms, wrapping them around their shoulders, helping him walk.
Sam led the way for them.
The male Demon who had taken John ran toward Sam, pushing him to the ground, punching him in the face.
"Sam!" Dean told him.
Dean and Catty leaned John against the building.
Dean ran toward them, kicking the Demon in the face.
The Demon wasn't even fazed, using magic to throw Dean aside, into a car windshield nearby, making the glass shatter upon impact. He returned to punching Sam in the face repeatedly.
The Demon was suddenly shot in the head, directly in the temple. The shot fired like lightning, sparking. The Demon fell to the ground, dead.
Sam and Dean looked toward Catty and John.
Catty had the Colt raised in front of her, having been the one to shoot the Demon. She walked toward Sam and Dean, putting the Colt into her inner jacket pocket.
Dean pushed himself off of the car windshield, groaning in pain, walking toward Catty and Sam.
Catty knelt next to the bleeding, weak version of Sam. "Sammy. Sam, come on. Come on."
Dean and Catty pulled Sam up from the ground, helping him stand.
Catty looked at the Demon she had shot, knowing that she hadn't just killed the Demon, but the host, too.
"Come on," Dean told them. "Come on, we've got to get out of here."
They walked toward John.
Catty grabbed the bag of weapons from the ground, wrapping Sam's arm around her shoulders, keeping him standing, helping him walk.
Dean pulled John up from the ground, wrapping his arm around his shoulders, keeping him standing, helping him walk.

Night - On the Road
The Impala drove down the road quickly.
§
Cottage In The Middle Of The Woods
The Winchesters were spreading salt across the window and door frames to keep the Demons from coming in or out.
Dean was in the kitchen, on the phone. "So, Ness, uh... I guess I owe you an apology."
Ness' voice was on the other end of the line. "For what? Underestimating me?" She was just walking into the Singer House's kitchen, putting her bag on the table. "Don't worry, Dean. Everyone does with a sweet face like mine."
"Yeah, well, it's not just the face that's sweet," Dean told her.
Ness smirked, closing the door behind her. "Aw. That's sweet, Dean. Who's acting sweet now?"
Dean smirked. "Would you just shut up and let me thank you for helping us today? Believe it or not, Ness, you saved our asses."
"And all of those people at the apartments," Ness added.
"Yeah, what did you tell the cops about that?" Dean asked.
"You think you Winchesters invented lying to the cops?" Ness asked, looking out of her window, making sure no one was there. "I came up with a gas leak story line."
Dean nodded, impressed. "And not too unbelievable. Nice, Loch Ness." Ness smirked, rolling her eyes. "Thank you."
"Don't mention it," Ness told him. "Just make sure you guys stay safe."
"You, too," Dean told her. "Bye."
"Bye, Dean," Ness told him, hanging up, tapping her phone against her hand, hoping that they would be okay.
Dean hung up, looking at Sam and Catty as they walked into the kitchen. "How is he?"
"He just needed a little rest, that's all," Catty answered. "Ness get home okay?"
"Yeah," Dean answered. "We should really bring Ness on more hunts."
Catty smirked barely, looking at Sam. "How are you?"
Sam looked up, sporting a very nasty black eye and busted lip, inhaling deeply. "I'll survive." He turned to face them. "Hey, you don't think we were followed here, do you?"
"I don't know," Dean told them. "I don't think so. We couldn't have found a more out-of-the-way place to hole up."
"Yeah," Sam agreed. "Hey, uh... Catty, you, um..." He sighed. "You saved my life back there."
"So I guess you're both glad I brought the gun, huh?" Catty asked.
"Cat, I'm trying to thank you here," Sam told her.
Catty nodded seriously. "You're welcome." Sam started to walk away. "Hey, guys?"
"Yeah?" Dean asked.
"You know that guy I shot?" Catty asked. "There was a person in there."
"You didn't have a choice, Catty," Dean told her.
Catty nodded, looking ahead, not blinking, not looking at them. "I know. That's not what bothers me."
"Then what does?" Dean asked.
"Killing that guy, killing Meg..." Catty trailed off, shaking her head. "I didn't hesitate. I didn't even flinch. Not until it was done and over with, but it was too late to feel the guilt. For the two of you or Dad, the things I'm willing to do or kill, it's just... it scares me sometimes."
John walked in, no longer bleeding, but still beaten, looking at Catty, sighing. "It shouldn't. You did good."
Catty looked at John in confusion. "You're not mad?"
"For what?" John asked.
"Using a bullet," Catty answered.
"Mad?" John asked. "I'm proud of you." Catty looked at him in confusion. "You know, Sam, Dean and I, we can get pretty obsessed. But you—you watch out for this family. You always have. Hell, sometimes, you're the only thing that keeps this family together without exploding."
Catty chuckled in acknowledgement, looking down. She sighed, looking at John, still confused. "Thanks."
The house started to rumble.
Lights started to flicker.
They walked toward the window, looking outside.
"It found us," John told them. "It's here."
"The Demon?" Sam asked.
"Sam, Dean, lines of salt in front of every window, ever door," John told them.
"Already did it," Dean told him.
"Check it, okay?" John asked.
Dean nodded. "Okay."
Sam and Dean walked out of the room to go do as told, leaving.
"Catty, you got the gun?" John asked.
Catty nodded. "Yeah."
"Give it to me," John told her.
"Sam tried to shoot the Demon," Catty told him. "It vanished."
"This is me," John told her. "I won't miss. Now, the gun." Catty pulled the Colt out of her pocket. "Hurry." Catty looked from the Colt to John, realizing something. "Catty, please." Catty backed away from him. "Give me the gun. What are you doing, Catty?"
"You'd be furious," Catty told him.
"What?" John asked.
"That I wasted a bullet," Catty told him. "He wouldn't be proud of me. He'd tear me a new one." She aimed the Colt at John. "You're not my dad."
§
John looked at Catty in confusion. "Catty, it's me."
"I know my dad better than anyone, and you ain't him," Catty told him.
"What the hell has gotten into you?" John asked.
"I could ask you the same thing," Catty replied. "Stay back."
Sam and Dean walked into the room.
"Cat?" Sam asked. "What the hell is going on?"
"Your sister's lost her mind," John told them.
"He's not Dad," Catty told them.
"What?" Sam asked.
"I think he's possessed," Catty told them. "I think he's been possessed since we rescued him."
"Don't listen to her," John told them.
"Catty, how do you know?" Sam asked.
"He's different," Catty answered.
"We don't have time for this," John told them. "Sam, if you want to kill this Demon, you've got to trust me." Sam looked between them. "Sam?" Dean slowly walked closer to Catty. John looked at him. "Dean?"
Sam looked at John. "No." He shook his head. "No."
Sam slowly walked to stand on the other side of Catty.
"I know Catty better than anyone, and she has better instincts that anyone I've ever met," Dean told them. "I think I'm gonna have to side with her on this one."
John looked between them, nodding. "Fine. You're all so sure. Go ahead. Kill me." Catty had tears in her eyes, not knowing for sure. John lowered his head to his chest, closing his eyes, waiting for the blow that never came. "I thought so." 'John' looked up with glowing yellow eyes just like the Demon from the Holt House in 1.21 Salvation. John/The Demon used magic to push Sam and Dean into opposite walls across the room, pinning them there. He did the same to Catty at the wall between them, directly in the middle, making her drop the Colt. Sam, Catty and Dean couldn't move any part of them. John/The Demon picked up the Colt, looking at it in his hand. "What a pain in the ass this thing's been."
"It's you, isn't it?" Sam asked, sounding as if he already knew the answer. John/The Demon smirked. "We've been looking for you for a long time."
"Well, you found me," John/The Demon told them.
"But the Holy Water we got from Ness?" Sam asked.
"You think something like that works on something like me?" John/The Demon asked.
Sam struggled against the telekinesis, but he couldn't move. "I'm gonna kill you!"
"Oh, that would be a neat trick," John/The Demon told him. "In fact, here." He placed the Colt on the counter. "Make the gun float to you there, Psychic boy." Sam looked at the Colt, but nothing happened. John/The Demon chuckled. "Well, this is fun. I could've killed you a hundred times today, but this..." He sighed. "This is worth the wait. Your dad, he's in here with me, trapped inside his own meat suit. He says 'Hi,' by the way. He's gonna tear you apart. He's gonna taste the iron in your blood."
"Let him go, or I swear to God—" Dean started.
"What?" John/The Demon asked. "What are you and God gonna do?" He turned to face Catty. "You see, as far as I'm concerned, this is justice." He walked closer to Catty. "You know that little exorcism of yours? That you and your brothers got Ness to do? Making Ness exorcise and sent my daughter to Hell? Yeah, it may have been your brother Dean who finalized the notion, but it was your idea. That was my daughter."
"Who?" Catty asked. "Meg?"
"The one in the alley?" John/The Demon asked. "That was my boy. You understand?"
Catty tilted her head back against the wall. "You've got to be kidding me."
"What?" John/The Demon asked. "You're the only one that can have a family? You destroyed my children. How would you feel if I killed your family? Oh, that's right. I forgot. I did. And I nearly had you burned alive in your crib, in your nursery, in your home when you were just an infant when your mother tried to be a hero and died saving you." Catty glared at him, looking away. "Still, two wrongs don't make a right."
Catty looked at John/The Demon. "You son of a bitch."
"I want to know why," Sam told him. "Why did you do it?"
"You mean why did I kill Mommy and pretty, little Jessica, and tried to kill your family right here?" John/The Demon asked.
"Yeah," Sam answered.
John/The Demon looked from Catty to Dean. "You know, I never told you this, but Sam was gonna ask her to marry him." He backed away from Catty, toward Sam. "Been shopping for rings and everything." He turned to face Sam. "You want to know why I killed Jessica? Because they got in the way."
"In the way of what?" Sam asked.
"My plans for you, Sammy," John/The Demon answered. "You... and all the children like you. And that, my boy, is why I tried to kill your family. The power that you have... it comes from great sacrifice. Some have more power than others because of the greater sacrifice."
"Listen, you mind just getting this over with?" Dean asked. "'Cause I really can't stand the monologuing."
John/The Demon looked at Dean. "Funny, but that's all part of your MO, isn't it, Dean?" He walked toward Dean, standing in front of him. "Mask all that nasty pain, mask the truth."
"Oh, yeah?" Dean asked. "What's that?"
"You know, you fight, and you fight for this family, but the truth is they don't need you," John/The Demon told him. "Not like you need them. Catty? She's clearly John's favorite. She does what she's told, but she gives him the fight that he wants to see. She makes him see what is wrong and right when he can't even tell the difference anymore. It changes him and how he does things for the greater good. Sam? Even when they fight, it's more concern than he's ever shown you."
"I bet you're real proud of your kids, too, huh?" Catty asked, defending Dean. John/The Demon looked at Catty. "Oh, wait, I forgot. I wasted 'em. Me and Ness."
John/The Demon turned to face Catty, walking closer slowly.
Catty didn't show a reaction.
John/The Demon closed his eyes, looking down. When he looked up, the glow of the yellow in his eyes was brighter. He used magic to make Catty slide up the wall toward the ceiling.
"Catty!" Dean told her. "No!"
"Maybe I'll get to finish what I started 18 years ago after all," John/The Demon told her. "But let's take this slowly. Make all of you suffer."
Sam and Dean struggled immensely, afraid what happened to Mary and Jessica would happen to Catty, terrified for their little sister.
Catty moaned in pain, gasping for breath, terrified.
"Dad!" Dean told him. "Dad, don't you let it kill her!"
Sam struggled. "Catty!"
Catty slid to the middle of the ceiling, pinned, terrified, starting to bleed from the belly, blood coming from her lips. "Dad, please."
Catty could barely breathe, lowering her head.
Dean struggled. "Catty! No!"
The glow faded from John's eyes. He seemed desperate, almost himself. "Stop. Stop it."
The power that held Sam and Dean against the wall let them go.
The power that held Catty against the ceiling let her go, letting her fall to the floor.
Dean ran toward Catty, catching her as she fell. "I got you. Hey, I got you."
Dean helped Catty lay on the floor, leaning her against the wall.
Sam grabbed the Colt, aiming it at John/The Demon as the glow returned to his eyes.
"You kill me, you kill Daddy," John/The Demon told him.
"I know," Sam told him.
"Sam!" Dean told him, trying to stop the bleeding of Catty's belly.
Sam aimed the gun at John's leg, shooting.
The wound sparked, sounding like a lightning strike. John/The Demon fell to the floor.
Catty gasped in pain.
Sam walked closer. "Catty? Cat? Hey. Oh, God, you lost a lot of blood."
"I'll be fine," Catty told them, breathing deeply. "Go check on Dad."
"Cat?" Sam asked.
"Go check on him," Catty told him.
Sam stood, turning to face John, slowly approaching him cautiously. "Dad? Dad?"
John looked up. "Sammy! It's still alive. It's inside me. I can feel it. You shoot me. You shoot me! You shoot me in the heart, son!" Sam cocked the Colt, aiming it at John. "Do it, now!"
"Sam, don't you do it," Dean told him. "Don't you do it."
"You've got to hurry," John told him. "I can't hold on to it much longer. You shoot me, son! Shoot me!" Sam kept the gun trained on John, but couldn't shoot. "Son, I'm begging you! We can end this here and now. Sammy, you kill me!"
Catty could barely speak above a whisper. "Sam, no."
"You do this!" John told him. "Sammy!"
"Sam..." Catty trailed off. "Sam."
Sam lowered the gun.
The Demon's smoke left John's body, making him scream, the smoke disappearing into the floorboards next to him, leaving.
John gasped in pain, lowering his head to the floor.
Sam looked as if he was degrading himself for not being able to kill their own father.

On the Road - The Impala
(Song:) Backwater Rising - Tom Coerver
Sam was driving them down the road in the Impala.
John was sitting in the passenger seat.
Dean and Catty were in the backseat.
Dean still kept pressure on Catty's wound, trying to slow the bleeding. "Cat, just hold on, all right? The hospital is only 10 minutes away."
"I'm surprised at you, Sammy," John told him. "Why didn't you kill it? I thought we saw eye-to-eye on this. Killing this Demon comes first. Before me, before everything."
Sam looked into the rear view mirror to look back at Dean and Catty. "No, sir. Not before everything."
"Look, we've still got the Colt," Dean told them. "We still have the one bullet left. We just have to start over, all right? We already found the Demon—"
§
Outside
A huge 18-wheeler semi crashed into the Impala on John and Dean's side of the car at full speed, sliding them down the road.
The driver of the semi truck was sitting behind the wheel. He had black eyes.
§
The Impala
John, Dean, Sam and Catty were all unconscious in the car. They were all injured to different extents, beaten, wounded and bleeding profusely.
