Present Time

Night - House - Living Room

(Song:) What's the Matter? - Milo Greene

Blood was splattered over the walls and furnishings.

A body with a badly wounded leg laid on the floor.

Another body was covered with a sheet.

Sam, Dean, Catty and Ness walked in, guns drawn.

Sabrina followed behind, looking around at all of the blood.

Catty turned to Sabrina, keeping her back. "Sabrina—"

"It's okay," Sabrina told them. "It's not Human."

"What do you mean, 'not Human'?" Sam asked.

"I mean, not Human," Sabrina answered in annoyance. "I'm okay."

Sam checked the body under the sheet.

Dean walked upstairs.

Ness checked the body with the wounded leg.

Sabrina removed an iPod from its docking station, stopping the music.

(Song Ends)

Dean walked downstairs. "Rest of the place is clear."

"Yeah," Ness agreed. "Uh... no ID on these guys. Um... and no clue who is painted on the walls."

"Well, whatever happened, looks like we missed it," Dean told them.

"Yeah," Sam agreed. "Great. Wait a second."

Sam pointed to a half-open laptop with a post-it note saying 'Play Me' stuck to the lid.

"What the hell?" Catty asked.

Sabrina fully opened the lid of the laptop, sitting down in front of it.

Catty sat down next to Sabrina, clicking on an icon that said 'Play Me', opening an application.

Ness sat down next to Catty and Sabrina.

Sam and Dean stood behind Ness, Catty and Sabrina, looking over their shoulders.

A message appeared on the screen.

This should never have ended this way.

§ Worlds Colliding (Supernatural) §

The screen went black, playing a video.

Video

Black Screen

Guy 1: (voice over) "Hey, Christopher Nolan."

Guy 2: (voice over) "Yeah?"

Guy 1: (voice over) "Lens cap."

Guy 2: (voice over) "Oh."

The screen cap was removed, revealing they were in a cafe.

Day One

Morning - Cafe

(Song:) What's the Matter? - Milo Greene

Guy 1 was sitting at a table in the cafe.

The camera turned on the face of Guy 2, who appeared to be holding the camera. "Crap. Damn."

Guy 1 aimed the camera at Guy 2.

"Strong work, genius," Guy 1 told him sarcastically.

"Dude, I have no idea what to make this movie about," Guy 2 told him. "And I'm, like—I'm A/V Club President, so, you know, it's got to be good."

"Here," Guy 1 told him. "Give me that." The screen went black for a moment as he grabbed the camera, aiming it at Guy 2. "I'll tell you what..."

"You're gonna make it?" Guy 2 asked.

"...you're gonna make it about," Guy 1 told him.

"Okay," Guy 2 told him.

Guy 1 aimed the camera at himself. "In a world where nothing is what is seems..." Guy 2 laughed. "One brave, shockingly handsome, virile young man..." Guy 1 aimed the camera at Guy 2. "And his faithful, learning-disabled..."

"Oh, no," Guy 2 told him.

"Robotic manservant must battle through waves..." Guy 1 trailed off, aiming the camera at other male students in the cafe. "Of cybernetic asshats in order to sexually liberate..." He aimed the camera at a group of female students. "The women of—"

Guy 2 smiled. "Okay. Give me that. Give me that."

"Oh, please," Guy 1 told him. "I bet at least one of these girls would let you partake in their awkward-guy experimental phase."

"What?" Guy 2 asked. "These girls?"

Guy 1 nodded. "Yep."

"Okay," Guy 2 told him, zooming the camera in on the female students. "Hashtag fails." He moved the focus from one girl to another. "Homeschooled. Secretly in love with her roommate. Listens to country music. Oh, dude, dude. 12:00, blonde. Wait." The blonde girl stood. "Is she—Oh, crap, crap. Dude, take it, take it. Just take it."

"I don't want to take it," Guy 1 told him.

Guy 2 handed the camera to Guy 1 anyway.

The girl approached them. "Were you just filming me?"

"No," Guy 1 told her. "Uh, I wouldn't do that."

The girl was holding another camera, raising it to film Guy 1. "Does it have the new firmware?"

Guy 1 clearly didn't know what she was talking about. "Uh, yes. Yes, it does."

"How's it handle?" the girl asked.

Guy 1 and the girl exchanged cameras.

"You tell me," Guy 1 told her.

"Well, your settings are way off," the girl told him.

"Oh, I—I like the way the colors—" Guy 2 cut himself off. "You probably don't care about that."

The girl filmed Guy 1. "Yeah, so, you weren't checking me out?"

Guy 1 filmed the girl. "Well, I do have a thing for beautiful women who respect their privacy. Uh, dick move on my part. I'm sorry."

"Don't be," the girl told him. "I have a thing for guys with cool cameras."

Night - House - Living Room

Guy 2 was sitting at a desk in front of several computers.

Giggling could be heard behind closed doors in another room.

The girl was only wearing a T-shirt, walking through the room to the bathroom.

Day Two

Morning - Cafe

(Song:) These Day - Fairchild

The girl was sitting at a table, being filmed. "No, no, no. Look, it's a great move, but of the two, I—I prefer 'Last Year of Marienbad'. You know?"

Guy 2 was the one filming her. "Yeah. It's a classic."

"How do you like that lens?" the girl asked.

"It's good," Guy 2 told her. "Yeah, yeah. It's lighter for sure."

"That's good," the girl told him.

Guy 2 aimed the camera from Guy 1 to the girl. "You know, uh, Michael knows nothing about cameras, right?"

"Yeah," the girl answered. "But, uh, I'm teaching him."

Michael walked up to the table, carrying a coffee. "Teaching who?"

"Oh, my boyfriend," the girl answered. Michael sat down next to her. "He's, uh, big, tall, and handsome."

"Mm," Michael hummed. "Sounds delish."

"Yeah, you should totally meet him," the girl told him.

"Yeah?" Michael asked.

Kate smiled teasingly. "Mm-hmm."

Michael and the girl kissed.

Guy 2 was jealous.

House - Living Room

(Song:) Waiting on Nicky - The Muddy Reds

Guy 2 was sitting at the desk.

"Let's see," the girl told them. "Five years from now? Hopefully passed the bar exam, practicing law." Guy 2 turned a camera around to film the girl and Michael, who were on the sofa. Michael was lying down with his head in the girl's lap. "Nothing corporate, something, uh... something green, you know?"

"Green is good," Guy 2 told them.

"Hippies," Michael told them.

The girl smirked. "Oh, shut up."

§

Later

The girl was filming Guy 2.

"Oh, jeez," Guy 2 told her. "Uh, maybe, like, working for HBO or—or, like, Michael Moore. That'd be cool."

"Yeah," the girl agreed.

"Double hippies," Michael told them.

"Whatever," Guy 2 told him.

"I will be on a boat in the middle of the ocean with my beautiful girl by my side," Michael told them.

"Aw," the girl told him. "Sap."

"And you can come, too," Michael told her teasingly.

"Nice," the girl told him sarcastically. "See what you just did there?"

Michael and the girl kissed.

Guy 2 was jealous.

College Campus - Lecture Room

While the professor was addressing his students, Guy 2 filming the whole time. "...display of that, let's make sure we put our hand up first next time." Michael appeared to be asleep in the audience. The girl was sitting in the row behind him, combing her fingers through his hair. "All right, brains, let's get our pens and pencils out. It's time for notes. So, let's turn our attention to our cruelly nicknamed friend Piggy." There was a close-up of a pin on the professor's jacket. "He uses his glasses to create fire, the sun dial." A slide on the screen at the front of the room read 'Lord of the Flies, 1st Year Eng Lit.' "He's also rational. He inhabits rational thought on the island."

§

College Campus

Guy 2 was filming himself, Michael and the girl.

"What'd I miss?" Michael asked.

"Just another pitch-perfect lecture from Professor Ludensky," the girl answered.

"Yeah," Guy 2 agreed.

"Do you know Simon was a Christ figure?" the girl asked.

"Yeah," Michael told them unconvincingly. "No." He looked at Guy 2. "Please tell me you taped it."

"Come on," Guy 2 told him. "Who loves you?"

Michael smiled. "Aw. I wish I could quit you."

"Yeah, right," Guy 2 told him. "Yeah."

Another student walked between them, pushing the camera to the ground with his shoulder.

"Oh, hey," the girl told him.

"Watch it, asshat!" Michael told him.

"What'd you call me?" the student asked.

"Come on," his friend told him. "Let's move. I want to see it."

Guy 2 picked up the camera, looking it over. "Oh, man."

§

Street

Michael, the girl, and Guy 2 were walking.

They heard police sirens.

Guy 2 aimed the camera at a crime scene down the way, looking at the girl. "Hey, can you help me shoot some of this for my movie?"

"Is that legal?" the girl asked.

"Who cares?" Michael asked.

A body covered with a bloodstained sheet laid behind a police line.

The Impala pulled up with Sam, Dean, Ness, Sabrina and Catty inside.

"Yeah, that's not good," Guy 2 told them.

"Someone got murdered on campus?" the girl asked. "You guys live two blocks from here."

Guy 2 noticed the Impala with Sam, Dean, Ness and Catty posing as FBI and Sabrina in the backseat, zooming in on Sam and Dean in the front seats. "Look, look, look. Starsky and Hutch."

Guy 2 laughed.

Michael pointed at Ness and Catty. "Rizzoli and Isles."

"What is it?" Kate asked. "Take your child to work day?"

Sam and Dean got out of the car, walking toward a detective.

"Special Agent Guns," Sam told him. He nodded to Dean. "This Special Agent Hudson."

Sam and Dean showed their badges.

"What the hell are you guys doing here?" the detective asked.

"Our jobs," Dean answered. "You want to tell us what's going on?"

"Whatever you say, boss," the detective told him. "Got a call from a woman that lives upstairs. Said, uh, she heard an attack, came down, found her neighbor here. Jacob Carter."

"Who'd he say?" Guy 2 asked.

"Uh, Jacob Carter," the girl answered. "I don't know."

"Well, is the witness still home?" Sam asked.

"Sure is," the detective answered. "She's not the most reliable type. She said she heard some kind of growl, like there was a coyote down here."

Dean nodded sarcastically. "Awesome."

§

House - Living Room

The girl was on the sofa, filming Guy 2 and Michael. "So, the FBI is here. Your neighbor got murdered, but you're totally cool."

"No," Guy 2 answered. "It's not—it's not that I'm cool. It's just that, like..." He walked out of the bathroom with a toothbrush in his mouth, holding another camera. "I mean, then it's good that the FBI are here, right?"

"That—that is so annoyingly logical," the girl told him.

"Hey, baby," Michael told her. "Listen."

Michael put an iPod into a docking station.

(Song:) What's the Matter? Milo Greene

"Oh," the girl told him. "It's pretty. What is it?"

"It's the song that was playing when we first met," Michael answered.

"Aw," the girl told him. "You are so disgustingly sweet."

Michael and the girl kissed.

"You ready?" Guy 2 asked.

"Yeah," Michael answered.

"Cool," Guy 2 told him, walking out of the room, leaving.

Michael took the camera from the girl. "I got to go."

"What?" the girl asked. "So, you just foam the runway with our song, and then you got to head out the door?"

Michael aimed the camera at the girl. "Kate, I promised I'd help Brian test the new cameras."

"Don't give me that crap," Kate told him. "I know you two idiots are gonna go shoot cut scenes for 'Jackass'."

"Come on," Michael told her. "We both know he has nobody else to do this with. Rain check."

"Whatever," Kate told him. "You're dead to me."

Michael and Kate kissed.

(Song Ends)

Night - College Campus

Michael and Brian both had cameras, walking across the college campus near a sports field.

"Do something cool," Michael told him.

"Dude, this tree is awesome," Brian told him. "Hang on." He climbed up into the tree. "Maybe I could—maybe I could... get upside down and—"

"No, no, I said cool," Michael told him.

"Ha ha," Brian told him sarcastically.

"This is stupid," Michael told him.

"Can you get—can you see me?" Brian asked. "Gonna try and get... Is this cool?" He hung upside down. "'Cause, man, it feels pretty cool."

"It's like 'Dumb & Dumber 3'," Michael told him. "Ha ha ha. Okay."

"Wait, dude, dude, dude, dude," Brian told him.

Dean and Ness, posing as FBI, were interviewing a couple on the street nearby.

"What?" Michael asked.

"Turn around," Brian told him. "Turn around."

"What?" Michael asked.

"Turn," Brian told him. "It's those FBI guys."

"What?" Michael asked.

"Help—help me down this tree," Brian told him. "Help me out of the tree."

Michael helped him out of the tree, both of them aiming the cameras at Ness and Dean.

"Oh, all right," Ness told them. "Well, thank you, guys, very much for your help. You're free to go."

 The couple walked away.

"All right," Dean told her. "There is not a case here."

"There is a case here," Ness told him. "We just got to dig a little deeper."

"Yeah, well, see, we have dug plenty of deep before," Dean told her. "Always seems to come back to bite us in the ass."

Ness smirked, turning to face Dean in amusement.

One of the cameras zoomed in on the way Ness and Dean were looking at each other.

Sam, Catty and Sabrina walked closer.

"And I think we just did the digging," Catty told them.

"What do you mean?" Ness asked.

Sabrina pointed toward the direction that she, Sam and Catty had just come from, in the direction of the woods. "Wolf in the woods."

"Sabrina, you sure?" Dean asked.

"Duh," Sabrina answered.

Michael chuckled.

"As in..." Ness trailed off.

"Yeah," Catty answered.

"Trail's cold," Sabrina told them. "But it's really Wolf."

"Sow, it's not that time of the month," Sam told her.

"It's. A. Wolf," Sabrina told him.

"Okay," Sam told her.

Michael and Brian were laughing quietly.

Sabrina looked in their direction as if she heard them.

Michael and Brian hid in the brushes.

"Sabrina?" Ness asked.

Sabrina looked up at them. "What?"

"You okay?" Catty asked.

"Yeah," Sabrina answered, looking toward the car. "Come on. I'm hungry. Dinner?"

"Yes, please," Dean told them.

Ness, Dean, Sam, Catty and Sabrina walked toward the Impala, getting in, driving away.

Michael and Brian stepped out of hiding.

"Dude, it's so crazy," Brian told him. "What'd Sabrina mean by 'scent', 'trail', 'Wolves'?"

Michael shook his head. "Don't know, man. Is it just me or are you getting a workplace-romance vibe from the first Mulder and Scully?"

"Let's go," Brian told him.

"Yeah," Michael agreed.

Michael and Brian walked along the outside of the sports field.

Two people were kissing near the bleachers.

"Come here, come here," Michael told him. "Look, look, look, look, look, look."

Brian walked closer, whispering. "What?" He saw the people kissing, one of them being the student that had tried to start a fight with them earlier. "Oh, no. Yes."

"D-bags mating in the wild," Michael told him.

They laughed quietly.

"Okay, go, go, go, go, go," Brian told him.

"Yeah," Michael agreed.

They walked closer, still filming.

The guy that had tried to start the fight was kissing the girl aggressively, taking her wrists, pushing them against the bleachers behind her.

The girl pushed his arms away. "No! Stop. Stop!"

The girl pushed him away, walking away, leaving.

Brian laughed. "Oh, strike three."

"Come on!" the guy called.

"You're a dick," Brian told him.

The guy called after the girl. "What's your problem?"

"This is gonna look great on YouTube," Brian told him, dropping his camera. "Oh. Oh, crap."

"Oh, crap," Michael repeated.

The guy saw them. "Hey! What the hell?"

"Oh, crap, crap," Brian said. "Oh, God."

Brian ran away with the camera.

The guy ran after Brian.

"Hey, Brian, Brian!" Michael called. "Meet me at Scott's mother's house!" The guy turned to run after Michael instead, revealed to be Scott. "Oh, God." Michael ran down a park path. "Oh, come on. I paid her fair and square, man!"

§

Woods

Michael ran into the woods, losing Scott in the process, aiming his camera at himself, breathing heavily, smiling at the camera. "Thanks for a great night out, Bri." There were growling noises coming from the trees. "Hello? Hello? Scott, cut it out, man!" There was more growling. "Oh, God. Oh, God."

Michael screamed and climbed a tree.

There was more growling and more screaming.

§

Elsewhere

Brian walked through the woods. "Hey, Michael. You can come out now, dude. Scott looked for us for a while but bailed." He found Michael's camera on the ground. "Mike?" He heard heavy breathing nearby. "Mike?" He walked further into the woods, finding Michael lying on the ground. "Dude. Oh, my God. Dude. Michael. You okay, man?"

"I'm okay," Michael answered.

"What happened?" Brian asked.

"I don't know," Michael told him. "I don't know."

Brian aimed the camera at the bite wound on Michael's shoulder. "Oh, God."

§

House - Living Room

Brian helped Michael onto the sofa. "Kate!"

Kate walked closer worriedly. "Oh, my God! Baby, baby, baby, baby!"

Kate knelt on the other side of Michael.

"Something bit Michael," Brian told her.

Kate looked at Michael. "Oh, baby." She stood, grabbing her phone. "Okay."

Brian looked at the bloodied shirt on Michael's shoulder. "Oh, my God."

"What is it?" Michael asked. "Is it bad? Brian. Kate. Is it bad?"

Brian picked up the camera, aiming it at Michael's healed shoulder. "The bite—the bite's gone."

Kate called for help. "Did—did you dicks just punk me?"

Kate hung up.

"It's completely gone," Brian told them.

Kate knelt next to Michael. "Baby, it's okay. Hey, hey, hey. Honey, it's okay. It's okay. Babe."

§

Day Three

Morning - House - Living Room

Michael was asleep on the sofa.

Brian and Kate were sitting at the table, whispering.

"The doctor said he's gonna be fine," Brian told her. "You heard him. Literally not a scratch on the kid."

"If anything happens to Michael, I—I don't know what I would do," Kate told him.

"Shh," Brian told her. "It's okay."

Michael slowly woke.

Brian and Kate put their heads down on the table, pretending to be asleep.

Michael walked through the room to the bathroom, pulling the door off its hinges.

Brian and Kate jumped.

"What?" Kate asked. "Baby?"

"Uh..." Michael trailed off.

"Did you just pull that off?" Brian asked.

"Whoa," Kate told him. "Whoa."

§

Later

(Song:) Get Alone - The Broken Remotes

Brian was filming Michael holding something over his head, laughing.

"Okay," Brian told him. "Okay, okay. Now—now one-handed." He panned the camera back to reveal that Michael was holding Kate horizontally over his head, now with one hand. Kate was giggling and squealing. "Oh, my God."

Michael looked up at Kate. "Stay still, stay still, stay still."

"Dude, whoa!" Brian told him.

Michael let Kate fall into his arms. They laughed, kissing.

(Song Ends)

§

Later

Brian was using a computer.

Kate looked at Michael. "Maybe you got bit by an alien. That would explain the FBI."

"Or maybe a mutant bit you," Brian told him.

"Am I a superhero now?" Michael asked.

Kate tilted her head at Michael. "Baby."

§

Later

(Song:) Bathtub - The Muddy Reds

Brian was setting up equipment in various places in the house.

"What are you doing?" Kate asked.

"What do you think I'm doing?" Brian asked. "I finally found my movie."

"What?" Kate asked. "Michael? Michael is not your movie. We don't even know what happened to him."

"Exactly," Brian told her. "I'm gonna get Michael's origin story on-camera."

(Song Ends)

§

Kitchen

Michael was sitting at the kitchen table, putting peanut butter on a bagel, looking into the camera which was obviously being held by Brian. "You're kind of creeping me out, man. Seriously, nothing superheroic to see here. Just a delicious bagel."

"Hey, man, I have this idea," Brian told him. "It's gonna sound really weird, but don't laugh, okay?"

"No promises," Michael told him.

"I, um..." Brian trailed off. "I really want to be able to do what you do. So I—I think maybe we could go back there and get that thing to bite me, and then we could both be superheroes."

"Stop," Michael told him. "What? Are you serious?"

"Michael, you can't keep this to yourself," Brian told him.

"Keep what to myself?" Michael repeated. "We don't even know what this thing is. Why the hell would you want it?"

"Michael..." Brian trailed off. "I don't—I don't want to be Piggy anymore, man."

"You're—you're not a pig, man," Michael told him. "Brian, listen to me. There's nothing wrong with you. You've just got to figure out what it is you want and go after it. I'm telling you, you don't want it."

"Right, 'cause I don't want to be super strong or have a prayer of getting any ass this year, or..." Brian trailed off sarcastically. "Please. Please."

"No, man," Michael told him. "No."

§

House - Living Room

(Song:) I Lie - The Leaning Eaves

Brian was using the computer at the desk.

There was a knock at the door.

Michael and Kate were on the sofa. "Not it."

"Children," Brian told them, standing, walking toward the front door. "Dudes, dudes, dudes. It's the FBI."

"What?" Michael asked.

"It's the FBI," Brian repeated.

"No," Michael told him. "What? Oh."

Michael picked up a bong, starting to put it behind the sofa.

"Baby, what are you doing?" Kate asked.

Michael ran out of the room with the bong.

Kate picked up a camera.

Brian opened the door.

Dean and Sam held up their badges.

"Hi, there," Sam told him.

"Hi," Brian told them.

"Special Agent Hudson and Guns," Sam told him. "We wanted to ask you a few questions about the murder that occurred a few blocks from here." Kate was filming Dean and Sam through the window. "First off, did you know the victim, Jacob Carter?"

Kate noticed the Impala outside, zooming it closer to see Sabrina, Catty and Ness in the car, looking out of the windows toward the house.

"Um, no, not really," Brian answered.

"Do you remember anything unusual about that night?" Dean asked.

"Not that I recall," Brian answered.

"Right," Sam told him. "Well, uh, heard about anyone in the neighborhood getting, uh, getting bit? Humor me."

"No, I—I don't think so," Brian told them.

"All right," Sam told him. "Well, no worries. How about this? If you hear anything strange... call us." He handed Brian a card. "No matter how late." Brian nodded. "Thanks."

"Thank you," Brian told them, closing the door.

Dean and Sam walked off the porch, toward the Impala.

Sabrina, Ness and Catty got out of the car.

"So, what do you think?" Dean asked.

"Well, based on what we've got so far, we just have, going on Sabrina's instincts, Wolf," Ness told them.

"It is a Wolf," Sabrina told them.

"And we believe you," Catty told her. "Okay?"

Sabrina sighed, looking away.

"What?" Dean asked.

"Remember how we said Sabrina could control it?" Catty asked. "Well, Sow makes up for not going postal by being really moody."

"Kind of like Sow's mommy, right, Catty?" Dean asked.

Catty gave him a sarcastic look. "Mm. Bite me, Dean."

Dean smirked.

They got into the car.

(Song Ends)

§

Later

Michael walked into the main room carrying the bong.

"The FBI are looking for what bit you," Brian told him. "Are you an X-file?"

"No," Kate answered. "He's not an X-file. Listen."

Kate played back the film they took of the Winchesters the night before.

Sabrina: (on video) "Wolf in the woods."

Dean: (on video) "Sabrina, you sure?"

Sabrina: (on video) "Duh."

Michael: (on video) (chuckles)

Ness: (on video) "As in..."

Catty: (on video) "Yeah."

Sabrina: (on video) "Trail's cold. But it's really Wolf."

Sam: (on video) "Sow, it's not that time of the month."

Sabrina: (on video) "It's. A. Wolf."

Sam: (on video) "Okay."

Michael and Brian: (on video) (laughing quietly)

Kate stopped the video. "Gotta admit Sabrina's cute."

Kate played the video she had taken of the Winchesters just minutes before.

Dean: (on video) "So, what do you think?"

Ness: (on video) "Well, based on what we've got so far, we just have, going on Sabrina's instincts, Wolf."

Sabrina: (on video) "It is a Wolf."

Kate stopped the video, looking at Michael.

"Am I a Werewolf?" Michael asked. They laughed. "I am a Werewolf!"

Michael laughed loudly.

Kate rolled her eyes, smiling. "You guys are ridiculous."

§

Night - Kate and Michael's Room

Kate was asleep in bed.

Michael stood, grabbing a camera, walking out.

§

Bathroom

Michael walked into the bathroom, filming himself looking at his reflection in the mirror. "I am a Werewolf. I'm a Werewolf." His irises and pupils enlarged, going back to normal. "Huh?"

Michael groaned, developing long canine teeth, groaning in pain. His fingernails grew into claws. He growled, punching the mirror.

§

Bedroom

Michael returned to the bedroom, gently stroking Kate's cheek with his clawed hand.

§

Kitchen

Michael took an Asian food take-out box from the fridge, eating with chopsticks at the table.

§

Later

More take out containers and wrappers were on the table.

Michael opened a beer, taking a bite of a burger, pushing his beer over.

§

Later

Even more take-out containers and wrappers littered the table and floor.

Michael grabbed a jacket, walking toward the door.

§

Sports Field

Three students were at the edge of the sports field, being filmed by a fourth.

The camera turned to aim at Scott. "What's up, BVC? It's Scotty P. patrolling with the Oak Hill crew. I'm Doug." He aimed the camera at a student who held a hockey stick. "Evan." He aimed the camera at a student who held a cricket bat. "Tucker." He aimed the camera at a student who held a baseball bat. "See, some animal killed a local citizen, so we're out here tonight making sure these streets are safe for all you fine honeys out there, all right? Let's fan out, boys."

"All right," Evan told them.

"Let's go," Doug told them.

Scott aimed the camera at Michael as he walked past, carrying two full plastic bags. "Yo!"

"Back off, douchewheel," Michael told him. "Not tonight."

Scott filmed himself. "Ooh. Oh. Ooh, I'm so scared. Listen..." There was the sound of plastic bags hitting the ground. Scott filmed them. "What... What the..." Michael was running away down a tree-lined path. "Yeah, I got you now, you piece of..."

§

Woods

Scott ran after Michael. "Why don't you come take your beating like a man?" He looked for Michael among trees and bushes in a park. "If you won't come out and play, I'll go visit that little piece of yours. Kate? Yeah, I'll go visit Katie, show her what a real man—" He heard a strange noise. "Michael?" He heard loud breathing. "Dude, do you think this is funny? Come on! Cut it out."

Michael ran out from some nearby foliage, transformed, growling.

Scott screamed.

§

Day Four

Morning - House - Living Room

Brian and Kate were on the sofa.

Brian was filming. "Can I ask you something about him? With everything that's happened, are you afraid of him?"

"At first, yeah," Kate answered. "I mean, it was pretty scary. But... then, to be totally honest, it's actually been pretty hot."

"O... M..." Brian trailed off.

Michael appeared with his face and chest covered with blood.

Kate screamed.

§

Bathroom

Kate was standing in the bathroom.

Michael was taking a shower, hidden.

"Baby?" Kate asked. "Just... Can you tell us what happened?"

"I, uh, I ran into Scott," Michael told them. "He chased me, and I think I killed him."

"What?" Kate asked. She looked at Brian, who was filming. "Turn it off. Off!"

§

Living Room

Michael was sitting on a chair, a towel around his neck.

Kate paced the room.

Brian was filming.

Michael looked at Kate. "He started talking about you, and I saw red. The next thing I remember, I was running home."

"On the video... what were those things on your hands?" Brian asked. "Claws?"

"Did anybody see you?" Kate asked.

"Kate, you're not..." Brian trailed off.

"No," Michael answered.

"...trying to justify—" Brian started.

"We don't know what happened, Brian," Kate told him. "What? He can't defend himself?" She grabbed the camera. "Give me that."

Park

There was a crime scene in a park.

Kate ran past the Impala and several police cars, which were parked outside a police line in the park. She was filming, filming Sam and Dean, posing as FBI, talking to the detective.

"Figured I'd see you guys again," the detective told them.

"Well, if you did your job right, we wouldn't be here, would we?" Dean asked.

"Easy," Sam told him. He looked at the detective. "Uh, so, what do you got?"

"Vic's name was Scott Parker," the detective told them. Scott's body was in an open body bag on the ground. "Looks like the same thing that killed the Carter kid got Mr. Parker here."

"Wait," Sam told him. "Same thing?"

"Look, I—I'm only the local yokel, but this kid was shredded by an animal," the detective told them.

"Where's his heart?" Dean asked.

"Patrolman found it up the way there," the detective answered, pointing in the direction. "Eaten, mostly."

"Show us," Dean told him.

Brian was also filming the scene.

House - Living Room

Brian and Kate got back to the house.

Brian walked toward the sleeping Michael on the couch.

"Brian, wait," Kate told him.

Brian ignored her, shaking Michael to wake him. "Did you eat a Human heart?" Michael sat up, sliding away from Brian. "Did you?"

"What are you talking about?" Michael asked, standing, looking at Kate. "What is he talking about?"

Brian grabbed Michael's arm. "Scott's dead. He was shredded, and his heart's gone."

"That doesn't mean that Michael—" Kate started.

"What do you think happened to it?" Brian asked. Kate didn't answer. Brian looked at Michael. "Where's his heart, Michael?"

"I don't remember what happened," Michael told them.

Brian pushed Michael. "Don't lie to me!"

"Hey, Brian, calm down!" Kate told him. "Look, I mean, there's got to be an explanation for this."

"Really?" Brian asked.

"It was... self-defense," Kate told them.

Brian stepped closer to Kate. "Eating a heart is self-defense? Kate, who are you trying to convince? Me or yourself?"

Michael pushed Brian away from Kate. "You need to back off."

"Why?" Brian asked. "You gonna eat my heart, too?"

Michael punched Brian hard enough to throw him back toward the kitchen, onto the table.

Kate watched in shock. "Michael!"

§

Bedroom

Michael was lying on the bed with his head in Kate's lap. "I don't know what's happening to me. I don't know who I am anymore."

"You're Michael Wheeler," Kate told him. "And you're mine, okay? You hear me?"

Brian's face was reflected in a mirror.

(Song:) Turned Tables - Should

Brian and Kate were talking.

"We have to call the police," Brian told her.

"Brian," Kate told him.

Brian filmed Kate. "Kate, how—how can you? You have to see what's really going on here. Whatever he is, it's not good. It's not good for you."

"Michael didn't mean to hurt you," Kate told him.

"Obviously he did, Kate," Brian told her.

"You just don't get it, do you?" Kate asked.

"What?" Brian asked. "What don't I understand?"

"You've never been in love," Kate told him. Brian put the camera down. "What we need are answers."

Police Station - Outside

Kate was filming Dean talking to a coroner. "I can't hear them."

"Seriously, Kate, what are we doing?" Michael asked.

"What are we doing?" Kate repeated. "Seriously?"

"Wait," Michael told her. "Kate, don't."

Kate ignored him, getting closer to the window to hear.

The coroner looked at Dean. "Cut marks on both vics are clean but have the curvature of animal claws. I don't know. I mean, maybe there's a wild animal on the loose? Biggest animal in the county is a raccoon."

"Hmm," Dean hummed. "Thank you for your time."

"You bet," the coroner told him.

"Appreciate it," Dean told him. "Okay."

Dean walked away.

Sam walked up to Dean. "Hey."

"Hey," Dean told him.

"So, what did I miss?" Sam asked. "Anything?"

"Not unless you want to put an APB out on Rocky Raccoon," Dean told him.

"Great," Sam told him sarcastically. "Um, the local police files are not online, so I had to dig through the county records. Um, 10 years ago, there was a similar unsolved murder. Check it out."

Sam handed a file to Dean.

"Death by claws and, uh, lack of heart?" Dean asked. "So, we're talking a—"

"No," Sam told him. "Not that time of the month."

"Awesome," Dean told him sarcastically.

"So you think Sabrina was wrong about this one?" Sam asked.

"I don't see how," Dean told him.

"Yeah, I know what you mean," Sam told him. "Sabrina seemed pretty damn sure."

"Time to hit the books and feed the monster," Dean told him, clapping a hand on his stomach, walking away down the hall.

Sam followed.

§

Elsewhere

Michael was sitting on the tailboard of an ambulance outside the police station.

"They know more than what we thought that they knew," Kate told him. "We got to follow them. Michael." Michael didn't answer. "Come on. Michael. Jeez."

There was a rustling as someone stepped out from some trees.

"How'd you find us?" Michael asked.

"GPS in your phones," Brian answered. "Duh."

"You know, you're starting to creep me out, man," Michael told him.

"The feeling's mutual, dude," Brian replied.

"What else can you hack into, Brian?" Kate asked.

Brian sounded cautious. "Anything."

Night - Biggerson's Restaurant

(Song:) It Took a Long Time - Koko Taylor

Sam, Dean, Ness, Sabrina and Catty were sitting at a table.

Sabrina was impatiently waiting.

Sam, Dean, Ness and Catty were reading notes and John and Bobby's Journals.

§

Outside - Car

In a car across the street from restaurant, Michael, Brian and Kate were watching security camera footage of the Winchesters.

"Test, test," Kate told them, speaking through a headset. "Can you hear me?"

Michael was wearing a head set. "Copy that. Yeah, the feed is looping to my laptop right now. Head in, make sure you're within spitting distance, and we should be in business. Um, and don't get arrested."

"I'll do it," Brian told them.

"You sure?" Kate asked.

"Yeah," Brian answered. "Sabrina can sense stuff, remember? Or catch their scent, or whatever. Give me the bag."

§

Biggerson's Restaurant

Brian sat down at a table near Sam, Dean, Ness, Catty and Sabrina with a bag on the table, wearing a hoodie with the hood up and sunglasses to hide his face, along with an ear piece. "We good?"

§

Outside - Car

Kate watched the footage. "Uh... a little left."

§

Biggerson's Restaurant

Brian adjusted the camera in his bag that was filming the Winchesters. "How's that?"

A waitress brought a plate with two burgers for Dean, Sam a salad, one hamburger for Catty and Ness, and a mini, child-size pizza for Sabrina.

"Awesome," Dean told her. "Thank you."

"Thanks," Catty told her. The waitress walked away, leaving. Catty looked at Dean. "Dude, two burgers?"

"Hey, I didn't eat at Big P's for, like, a year, okay?" Dean asked. "Clear eyes and clogged arteries, can't lose."

Sabrina rolled her eyes, eating.

§

Later

Their food had been eaten.

Sabrina drank from a large cup.

Sam, Dean, Ness and Catty were reading from large books and John and Bobby's Journals.

Ness was reading Bobby's Journal. "Hey, check this out. 'Werewolves that are turned up to four generations from pure blood', meaning Alpha, 'are less feral and can transform before, during and after the lunar cycle.' Boom."

§

Car - Outside

Kate and Michael were still watching.

Ness: (on video) "Pure bloods don't black out during the transformation. They can control themselves."

§

Biggerson's Restaurant

Sam looked at his sister. "So, let me guess, Catty. That's why Sabrina can control yourself."

Sabrina shrugged. "I don't know. I was born this way. Like the pure bloods, but I'm... not pure blood."

"Plus side for us, Sabrina can control it to where she doesn't hurt anyone," Catty told them.

"Sabrina, you make it seem so easy," Sam told her.

"Easy?" Sabrina repeated in exasperation, incredulously cute. Dean looked at her in surprise. "Are you crazy?" Catty smiled, trying not to laugh. Ness put a hand over her mouth to keep her smile hidden. Sam smiled a small smile. "It's hard!"

Ness looked at the journal. "Some have been able to subsist off of animal hearts."

"So—So, what?" Sam asked. "We're hunting a—a Werewolf with a pedigree?"

"Awesome," Dean told them sarcastically. "Let's hope he has his papers."

"Yeah, and that silver can kill him," Ness told them. "Best in show comes here 10 years ago, ganked some poor woman. Then when the dust settles and everything's in the clear, he just sets up shop. Comes for the Human hearts, stays for the co-eds."

"Right," Sam agreed. "And then everything's wine and roses—and animal tickers—until he gets the hankering for Human again."

House - Living Room

Michael, Brian and Kate were watching the footage of the Winchesters from the restaurant.

Sabrina: (on video) "Told you it was a Werewolf."

Sam: (on video) "Yeah, we know, Sabrina. Sorry. Now we just got to find it and kill it."

Michael was overwhelmed. "We said it as a joke before. But it's true. I'm a Werewolf. A Werewolf."

"Michael, come on," Kate told him. "Baby, you need to calm down."

"Calm down?" Michael repeated. "I'm a Werewolf!"

"Hey, we need to find—" Brian started.

"The FBI is trying to kill me," Michael told them.

"Shut up!" Kate told them. "Everybody, shut up, okay? First things first, those guys—those guys aren't FBI, all right? I'm pretty sure that FBI Agents don't say 'awesome' that much. You know? And—and they definitely don't bring  Sabrina, a little girl Werewolf along to help them hunt and kill college kids."

"Did—did they say anything else?" Michael asked.

"Dude, they just sat and talked about how the mom and the little girl were on the run from monsters for an entire year and Scully and Mulder was locked in Purgatory while the other guy took a break," Brian told them. "They're probably like the X-Men. You know?"

"I'm screwed," Michael told them. "I'm screwed."

"Kate, come on," Brian told her. "What are we supposed to do?"

"Okay, you know what?" Kate asked. "You guys, you're missing the big picture, okay? They—they don't know about you, Michael. They're looking for whoever, whatever bit you in the first place. The pure blood. That... that gives us some time... to figure it out, you know?"

"So, what's the plan?" Michael asked. "What? Eat chicken hearts for the rest of my life?"

Michael angrily walked into the bedroom.

Kate followed him. "Michael. Baby."

Kate and Michael talked indistinctly in the bedroom.

Brian watched footage from Michael's camera in the woods the night he had been bitten, replaying part of it, printing a screen capture. "Hey, guys. I think I found something."

Kate pulled the bedroom door closed.

Brian grabbed his keys, walking out of the house, leaving.

§

Woods

Brian searched with a flashlight, spotting a pin on the ground, setting the print of the screen capture down next to it.

The screen capture was a picture of the same spot.

The pin matched the one the Professor Ludensky wore on his jacket.

Brian picked up the pin, comparing it to the screen capture.

Ludensky walked in. "A little early for office hours, Brian. What can I help you with?"

Brian aimed a camera at Ludensky. "I know what you are."

Brian walked in. "Hey. What are you doing?"

"We're leaving in the morning," Kate told him.

"What?" Brian asked. "Why?"

"Those guys—" Kate started. "Look, they might find Michael, and—"

"No, Kate, you don't have to worry about that," Brian told her. "You don't have to worry about anything. I took it."

Michael walked in. "You took care of what?"

Kate looked at him in confused suspicion. "Brian, what did you do?"

Brian was showing the footage from Ludensky's office to Michael and Kate.

Flashback

Day - Professor Ludensky's Office

Brian held up the pin, laughing. "I know what you are."

"Yeah, I'm your professor," Ludensky told him. "And thanks. I've been looking for that. Where'd you find it?"

"Where you left it... after you bit my friend," Brian answered.

"I'm sorry," Ludensky told him. "What are you—"

"Stop, stop, stop," Brian told him. "Stop trying to cover. Just listen to me very carefully. I'm filming all this. And I've got a hidden camera in here, too. It's feeding back to my laptop at home, so if anything happens to me—"

"Nothing is going to happen to you, Brian," Ludensky told him. "But you know what? You need to calm down."

"I want you to turn me into a Werewolf," Brian told him.

"Brian, I—I don't know where you—" Ludensky started.

"You don't know?" Brian asked. "Really?" He put the camera down on the desk. "Well, how about I, uh..." He took out a knife. "Cut you with this?"

"Brian, listen to me," Ludensky told him.

"This thing's made of silver, you know," Brian told him, pushing Ludensky into a chair, leaning over him with the knife.

"Look, I'm not—" Ludensky started. "Please, I'm not what you think I am."

"I don't care what you are," Brian told him. "I just want you to turn me."

Ludensky transformed, growling. "I don't want to hurt you."

"You're not going to," Brian told him. "'Cause if you do, all of this winds up on CNN."

§

Later

Brian put the knife down on the desk, picking up his camera.

Ludensky was sitting on the other side of the desk.

"So, you stumbled on Carter, wolfed out, and then what?" Brian asked. "Got a taste for hearts again?"

"You never lose the taste, if you're stupid enough to have one," Ludensky told him. "Once you have a Human heart, it's almost impossible to control the monster inside. But I did, until last week when I, uh... fell off the wagon, as they say. You have no idea—no idea—how hard it is. I've trained myself not to hurt anyone. I have—I have trained myself to... choke down those other hearts."

"Animal hearts," Brian told him.

"And I have been clean..." Ludensky trailed off.

"Until last week?" Brian finished.

"And then I saw Carter alone, and he was..." Ludensky trailed off. "He looked so weak. It's harder to cover things up nowadays. I knew a hunter would catch wind of this sooner or later."

"They did," Brian told him. "They're here. You needed a patsy. Michael."

"Yes," Ludensky answered. "The young man who sleeps through most of my lectures. I mean, who would miss him?"

"Me," Brian answered.

"Why are you doing this?" Ludensky asked.

"I want to see what you guys see," Brian answered. "Do what you do. I'm sick of being Piggy. I want to be Ralph."

"We don't get to choose who we are," Ludensky told him.

Brian pushed up his sleeve to reveal a bloodstained bandage, removing the bandage to reveal a Wolf bite. "I did."

§

Now

Night - House - Living Room

Brian stopped the footage.

"Oh, my God," Kate told them.

"Brian," Michael told him.

"Oh, my God," Kate repeated.

"What are you?" Michael asked. "Insane?"

"You're welcome for saving your ass," Brian told him. "Look. Watch."

Brian played footage from the Ludensky's office.

§

Ludensky's Office

Ludensky growled, picking up a chair, throwing it against the wall, making it shatter and the pieces fall to the floor. He held his hands to his head, reaching up to remove the hidden camera from the cupboard.

The screen went mostly black.

They heard Dean's voice. "Hey!"

When the picture returned, the Winchesters were in the room.

Sabrina, Catty and Ness pushed Ludensky onto his desk, making him fall to the floor.

Sam had a large knife in his belt.

Ludensky stood, transforming.

Sam lunged at Ludensky with the knife. Ludensky caught his wrist, pushing him against the wall.

Dean shot Ludensky in the chest with a silver bullet.

Ludensky fell back into the wall, sliding to the floor weakly. "Thank you."

Ludensky slowly died.

Sabrina looked around in confusion, sniffing.

Sam, Dean, Ness and Catty exchanged a confused look. "Sabrina?" Sabrina looked up. "Sow?"

Catty walked closer. "You okay?" Sabrina didn't answer, walking toward the table, seeing the blood from Brian's bite. "You recognize something?"

Sabrina turned to face them, nodding, pointing to the blood on the desk. "Trail's fresh."

§

House - Living Room

Brian stopped the footage. "See?" He snapped his fingers. "Problem solved. They killed the pure blood, they're moving on, and we're in the clear, just like you said."

"I never said—" Kate started.

"Kate, I, uh..." Brian trailed off. "I did this to protect you." He looked at Michael. "I did what you couldn't."

"Sabrina picked up your scent, Brian," Michael told him. "You don't think Sabrina can track that back to you? What the hell's wrong with you?"

"Nothing's wrong with me," Brian told him, picking up his camera, filming Michael. "You told me that. I just... finally figured out what I want, and now I'm going after it. You thought I was hiding behind this? I was hiding behind you. I am done living in your shadow. I've always lived in your shadow. But now—now we're equals. Anything you can do, right?"

"What?" Michael asked. "You think this is a game? Do you have any idea what you've done to yourself?"

"Well, you wouldn't bite me, so I had to—" Brian started.

"You asked him to?" Kate asked. She looked at Michael. "He asked you to bite him?"

"I didn't, okay?" Michael asked. He looked at Brian. "I didn't want to hurt you. I would never hurt you, Brian." Brian laughed. "This thing inside of me? You don't want this."

"Oh, well, it's too late for that now," Brian told him.

"I remember attacking Scott," Michael told him. "I remember ripping his beating heart out of his chest. I remember the look in his dead eyes when I bit into that heart, Brian. And above all, I remember how sweet, how delicious it tasted, and ever since I've tasted it, I've felt more powerful and more out of control."

Brian grabbed Kate, looking at Michael. "More weak." He looked at Kate. "You don't need someone like Michael. You need someone that can take care of you."

"I can take care of myself," Kate told him.

Brian held Kate in front of him.

"Let her go," Michael told him.

"Or what?" Brian asked. "You gonna cry some more?"

Michael transformed, lunging for Brian.

Kate screamed. "No! No!"

Michael pushed Brian onto the couch, slashing toward him. Brian pushed Michael onto the couch, standing, backing away. Michael stood, pushing Brian to the floor, walking closer, trying to slash at him. Kate walked closer, trying to interfere. Michael pushed her away, pulling Brian to his feet, both of them crashing through the glass doors to the bedroom, making them shatter, both falling to the floor. Michael pushed Brian to the floor into the main room, slamming him onto the floor repeatedly.

Brian yelled. "God! God! God."

Michael fell to the floor, a silver knife in his stomach.

Kate knelt next to Michael worriedly. "Oh, baby. Oh, baby. Oh, please don't die. Please don't die. Please don't die."

"I'm sorry," Michael told her. "I'm so sorry." Brian crawled to a corner of the room. "I love you, baby."

"I love you," Kate told him. Michael slowly stopped moving, dying. "Michael? Michael!"

§

Kate was crying over Michael's body, pulling out the knife in his stomach, standing, walking toward Brain angrily, slashing at his arm with the silver knife.

Brian caught Kate's wrist, holding her still. "Kate, listen to me. I love you. I love you. You'll understand. You just need to see what I see. After I bite you, you'll understand."

Kate used the silver knife to cut Brian's arm, making him let go, running into the kitchen.

Kate was looking at herself in the cracked bathroom mirror, crying, filming her reflection.

Brian knocked on the door. "Kate? Let me in. I'm sorry. I didn't mean to scare you." Kate watched her bite mark heal. "We can fix this. We can..." Brian knocked on the door. "Just let me in, okay?"

Kate screamed, pushing out the shower screen, throwing things, breaking the sink in despaired rage. She composed herself, trying to regain control, picking up the camera, filming herself looking in the mirror. She smiled. "Brian? Brian, I'm coming out. I see it now. I understand."

Kate opened the door.

Brian was waiting on the other side. "I told you it would be all right."

"Yeah," Kate told him. "It will be. Here."

Kate handed the camera to Brian.

Brian took the camera, filming Kate.

Kate smiled, looking down. She looked up, transformed, growling, lunging at Brian.

The camera swung wildly, falling to the floor.

"No!" Brian screamed. "No!"

Kate roared.

Blood splattered the walls.

Present Time

Day - House - Living Room

The video ended. Catty was still sitting in a chair. Sabrina was sitting on her lap. Ness was still sitting in the chair next to Catty. Dean was sitting in the chair that Sabrina had been sitting in before the video started, on the other side of Ness. Sam was sitting in a chair behind them, able to see the screen between them. They sat silently for a few moments, trying to figure out how to deal with what they just saw.

§

The credits on the video played.

Dean was standing now. "Okay, so, uh... this..." He looked under the sheet. "Yeah. Is Michael." He looked at Brian's mutilated corpse. "Which means that that is..."

"Brian Wilcox, our friendly neighborhood cameraman," Ness answered.

"Right," Dean agreed.

"Mm," Sabrina hummed, sliding off Catty's lap to the floor. "I don't blame Kate."

Catty and Ness gave her a look. "Sabrina."

"What?" Sabrina asked. "He was stupid." She pointed at Michael. "He was smart. I don't want this. I don't want to be a Hybrid. He didn't want to be a Werewolf. The teacher didn't want that. Kate doesn't." She looked at Brian's mutilated body. "Why would he?"

Catty sighed, standing. "Sabrina's got a point. All right, so..." She looked at her watch. "What, Kate's got about a half-day jump on us?"

"Mm-hmm," Sabrina answered quietly, looking down, around.

"You all right?" Catty asked. "Sabrina?"

Sabrina didn't sound convincing. "Mm-hmm." She looked up. "Kate's right. She hasn't hurt anybody." She looked toward Brian's body. "Well, anybody Human at least."

"Yeah, she didn't—she didn't choose this," Dean told them. "Let's give her a shot."

Sam and Ness nodded in agreement.

Sabrina looked up. "Really?"

"Yeah," Catty answered. "Yeah. But, Sow, look, if Kate strays, and she hurts somebody—"

"I know," Sabrina told them. "No questions asked. You will do what you have to. Like you will do what you have to if I stray."

Catty knelt in front of Sabrina. "You won't stray, Sabrina."

"How do you know that?" Sabrina asked.

"Because if you wanted to, you would have by now," Catty answered. "You wouldn't be fighting at all."

Ness unplugged the hard drive and the laptop on the desk, picking them up.

Catty sighed, taking Sabrina's hand, standing.

"Hey, guys?" Dean asked.

"Yeah?" Sam asked.

"Do I really say 'awesome' a lot?" Dean asked.

Ness, Sam and Catty exchanged a look, looking at Dean. "No."

"Yes," Sabrina answered. Ness smiled a small smile. Sam pressed his lips together. Catty looked down at Sabrina. Sabrina looked up. "What? I don't know when you want me to lie or not. It's confusing."

Catty smiled a small smile.

Sam walked out, leaving.

Dean nodded. "Mm." He followed Sam, clearing his throat. "Huh." He paused to look at a picture of Kate pinned on a board on the wall. "Awesome."

Ness smiled.

Ness and Dean walked out of the house, leaving.

Catty walked toward the door, noticing the Sabrina wasn't following, turning to look at her.

Sabrina paused at the door, putting the iPod back into the docking station.

Sabrina walked past Catty, out of the house, leaving.

Catty smiled a small, sad smile, knowing that she was just worried about herself as she was, and that what was going to make sure that she wasn't going to give in. She turned, walking out, leaving.

A large truck crossed the tracks, driving away.

Kate picked up the backpack, waving to the truck driver. She walked down the train tracks into the setting sun.
