THEN
From 10.23 "Lover's Keeper", in the restaurant, the Mark disappeared from Ness' arm.
Dean: (voice over from 11.01 Out of the Darkness, into the Fire) "Releasing the Darkness."
From 10.23 "Lover's Keeper", outside the restaurant, columns of black smoke erupted from the spots where the lightning had struck. They converged in one spot into a huge rolling cloud of black smoke, soaring toward Ness, Dean and Sabrina.
Ness: (voice over from 11.01 Out of the Darkness, into the Fire) "You unleashed a force on this world that could destroy it... to save me."
From 11.01 "Out of the Darkness, into the Fire", in the flashback of the Darkness, Ness and the Darkness were standing in the middle of the black smoke.
Catty: (voice over from 11.01 Out of the Darkness, into the Fire) "This is the Darkness, right? It's gotta be."
From 11.01 "Out of the Darkness, into the Fire", in the hospital's hallway, Sam and Catty were surrounded by rabids.
Dean: (voice over from 11.01 Out of the Darkness, into the Fire) "She shows up, and everybody goes '28 Days Later'?"
The rabids ran toward Sam and Catty, tackling them to the floor.
Jenna: (voice over from 11.01 Out of the Darkness, into the Fire) "They were like rabid dogs. They couldn't stop."
From 10.23 "Lover's Keeper",
Catty: (voice over from 11.01 Out of the Darkness, into the Fire) "Maybe it was the smoke, and anybody who was outside, they were exposed."
From 11.01 "Out of the Darkness, into the Fire", in the hospital room, Ness was still lying down. Dean was sitting next to her. Sam, Catty, Jenna and Mike were standing nearby.
Ness noticed that Mike and Jenna had black veins starting to grow underneath the skin on their necks. "Did they cut you or bleed on you?"
"They did," Mike answered.
"It might be transmittable," Dean told them.
From 11.01 "Out of the Darkness, into the Fire", in the hospital room, Ness was in the bed, looking at Sam, Dean and Catty. "Why not? Just a couple hours ago, I got rid of the Mark, got struck by lightning..."
10.23 "Lover's Keeper", in the restaurant, Ness swung Death's Scythe over Sabrina's head, turning to stab Death in the chest. Death turned to ash, crumbling into dust on the floor.
Ness: (voice over from 11.01 Out of the Darkness, Into the Fire) "Killed Death."
From 11.01 "Out of the Darkness, into the Fire", in the hospital room, Ness was lying in bed, breathing heavily, coated in a sheen of sweat. Mike was standing at the foot of the bed. Dean stood by Ness' side. The doctor carried the babies toward Dean and Ness. Dean held Aiden. Ness held Amara. They held the babies gently in awe, breathing heavily, looking at each other in relief.
Ness: (voice over from 11.01 Out of the Darkness, into the Fire) "And delivered two beautiful twin babies who seem to be in perfect health."
From 11.01 "Out of the Darkness, into the Fire", in the hospital room, Ness was still lying down, holding Aiden. Dean stood next to Ness, holding Amara. Sam and Catty stepped closer.
"I'm pretty much open for anything," Ness told them.
From 11.01 "Out of the Darkness, into the Fire", in the hospital room, Ness was lying down, holding Amara. Dean walked closer to hold Aiden close to Ness and having contact with Amara. Sam and Catty watched in awe, smiling, happy for them, relieved that they were all okay.
"So, what are you going to name them?" Sam asked.
Dean smiled. "Aiden and Amara."
Ness sighed, closing her eyes tiredly in relief that it was over.
From 11.01 "Out of the Darkness, into the Fire", in the exam room, Sam and Catty aimed their guns at two rabids. The rabids started to shake, gasping, collapsing, bleeding out on the floor, dying.
From 11.01 "Out of the Darkness, into the Fire", in the hospital room, Ness was still lying down. Dean was sitting next to her. Sam and Catty were standing nearby.
"We just wait for them to die," Catty told them.
"We're gonna make sure Ness and the babies are okay," Sam told them. "And Sow and Ava are gonna find Cas."
From 10.23 "Lover's Keeper", in the distillery's basement, Crowley, Sam, Octavia, Castiel and Catty couldn't move no matter how much they tried. Castiel doubled over in pain, groaning, screaming in agony. He stood, bleeding from the eyes.
From 11.01 "Out of the Darkness, into the Fire", in the distillery's basement, Castiel stabbed Crowley's body repeatedly. He growled ferociously, turning to face Sam, Octavia and Catty, his eyes bloodshot and bleeding. Octavia held her hands toward Castiel. White light emanated from her hands, toward Castiel, the white light enveloping the entire room. Sam and Catty covered their eyes with their arms. The white light pushed Castiel back toward the entrance of the room, making him fall to the floor. The light faded completely. Sam, Octavia and Catty lowered their arms.
Castiel stood. His hand was shaking from effort. He dropped his Angel Blade. "I'm sorry. I don't want to hurt you. I can't help myself. I have to run."
"No," Octavia told him. Castiel turned around, running out, leaving. "Cas!"
Catty looked at Crowley's body on the ground. "He's not dead. He escaped."
From 11.01 "Out of the Darkness, Into the Fire", in the road, Octavia and Sabrina were standing together.
Sabrina sighed, looking up at the sky, starting to pray. "Dad. I don't know if you can hear me. I'm gonna find you and save you. Okay?"
From 11.01 "Out of the Darkness, into the Fire", in the woods, Castiel slowly started to lean against the tree behind him for support. "You're right. I need help. Please. Sow, save me from doing worse."
Sabrina and Octavia were walking along.
Sabrina stopped walking, looking around in confusion. "Dad, there's something Rowena did to the spell that she put on you. I can hear you, but I can't find you."
"It's a Witch's spell from the Book of the Damned," Octavia told her. "We'll find Cas, Sabrina. I know we will. But it might take a while."
From 11.01 "Out of the Darkness, into the Fire", in the warehouse, Angel 1 hung Castiel's chains from the ceiling. The Angels used a hood to cover Castiel's head.
From 11.01 "Out of the Darkness, into the Fire", in the hospital room, Ness was lying down. Sam, Dean and Catty were standing nearby.
"Saving people means all of the people," Ness told them. "Not just each other. We have to change. With the Mark gone, I can finally think like the old me. The old me that wanted to save everyone."
Catty considered this for a long moment, smiling, wrapping an arm around Ness' shoulders, looking at Sam and Dean. "She's back, bitches."
Sam and Dean smiled small smiles.
"All right," Dean told them. "What are you thinking?"
Sam thought for a moment, looking at Dean. "Get them to the car. Get them somewhere safe."
"Without a shot?" Dean asked. "And what are we gonna do about those things on our tail?"
"They won't be on your tail," Catty told them.
From 11.01 "Out of the Darkness, into the Fire", in the hospital hallway, Sam and Catty with the rabids. Three rabids pushed Catty into the wall. Rabid 4 bit into Catty's neck, making her groan in pain. Rabid 3 pushed his bleeding cheek against Catty's bleeding neck, making blood-to-blood contact. Catty slit one's throat, making the blood splatter over the rabids restraining Sam and onto the cut on his shoulder. The rabids let them go, sniffing them, walking away, leaving.
From 11.01 "Out of the Darkness, into the Fire", on the road, Dean was driving the Impala. Ness was in the passenger seat. Aiden and Amara were in the backseat in car seats.
"Oh, you good?" Dean asked.
"Yeah," Ness answered. "Babies. Mommy. Daddy. What could go wrong? You, Cas, Sabrina, Ava, Sam and Catty continue hunting. I'll be with Aiden and Amara."
Dean and Catty's phone conversation (the Impala and the hospital)
"How about you and Sam?" Dean asked. "You okay?"
"Like it or not, we're gonna find a cure," Catty told him.
"Yeah, I know you are," Dean told her.
From 11.01 "Out of the Darkness, into the Fire", in the hospital room, Sam was looking into a mirror, pulling his shirt aside, revealing he had the same black veins on his chest that the rabids did. Catty pulled down her shirt slightly to see that she had the same veins. Sam and Catty looked at each other for a long, somber moment, looking away.
From 11.01 "Out of the Darkness, into the Fire", in the flashback of the Darkness, Ness and the Darkness were surrounded by the black smoke. Ness looked at her in confusion, noticing the Mark of Cain was on her collarbone underneath her dress. The Darkness stepped closer, placing a hand on Ness' pregnant stomach. Ness started to fall unconscious instantly. The Darkness held her standing. The black smoke suddenly hurtled toward them, surrounding them even closer, as if with a place in mind to go, obscuring them completely from view.
From 11.01 "Out of the Darkness, into the Fire", in the Impala, Dean was driving. Ness was in the passenger seat. Aiden and Amara were in the backseat, in the car seats. Aiden was asleep. Amara used her tiny, tiny hands to pull at the blanket around her, revealing the Mark of Cain on her collarbone.
NOW
§
Day One
Morning - Street
A man, infected with the Darkness sickness, stumbled down the street.
§
Hardware Store
The man grabbed various items from the shelves.
§
Alley
A voice rang out through the town that the man followed down an alley.
A radio was sitting in a chair. "H-a-t-e. It was his left hand that old brother Cain struck the blow that laid his brother low. L-o-v-e. You see these fingers? They're arched. These fingers has veins that run straight to the soul of man. The right hand, friends. The hand of love. Now, watch, and I'll show you the story of life. These fingers, dear hearts, is always a-warring, a-tugging, one against the other. Now watch them. Old brother left hand. Left hand hates a-fighting."
Sam and Catty were waiting. The rabid man walked toward them.
"Can you talk?" Sam asked. "Or are you too far gone?"
"What?" the rabid asked.
Catty hit the rabid in the head with the shotgun in her hands, making him fall unconscious. "Good answer."
§ Worlds Colliding (Supernatural) §
The Bunker - Outside
The Impala pulled up to the Bunker, parking.
Ness and Dean got out of the Impala, getting Aiden and Amara out of their car seats in the back.
"You know that the car seats get out when we're on the job," Dean told her.
"Well, duh," Ness told him. "That's why we'll put them in my car, and when we wanna take Aiden and Amara somewhere, we'll take..."
"Your car," Dean finished.
Ness nodded.
Dean chuckled.
They showed the Bunker to Aiden and Amara.
"Look," Ness told them. "Home sweet home."
"Very trashed, very messy home," Dean told her. "We still haven't been able to clean it up after the Steins destroyed the house."
"Well, I'm just gonna have to fix that, won't I?" Ness asked.
Ness and Dean smiled, walking toward the Bunker.
§
Inside - Control Room
Ness and Dean stopped with the babies by the map table because this room was the least destroyed room so far.
Ness looked at Aiden and Amara in their arms. "They're so adorable."
"Yeah, well, Amara takes the beauty from her mama," Dean told her. "But you see this little handsome devil? Aiden's all me."
Ness smiled. "We should probably put Aiden and Amara to bed in the nursery."
"Nursery?" Dean repeated.
"You thought that I would just make up a guest bedroom with cribs for Amara and Aiden?" Ness asked. "No, sir. While you, Catty, Sam, Sabrina, Ava and Cas were out hunting on the job and trying to find ways to save me, I was here, setting up a nice little room for Aiden and Amara. Come on, Dean. I'll show you."
§
Hallway
Dean and Ness carried Aiden and Amara down the hallway.
Ness looked at the doorway that was labeled with 'A' 'A' with cute little baby fonts, one blue, one pink. She looked at Dean. "At least the Steins didn't get close enough to destroying this room. I would've killed them just on that principle alone. And I know, it's rude to say that, because I actually did kill them." Dean opened his mouth to speak. Ness pointed at him. "I know what you're gonna say. 'They deserved it. You were defending yourself and protecting Aiden and Amara. You were getting revenge for Charlie'. Those are just excuses, Dean. I take full responsibility for what I did to them. For what I did to everyone."
Dean held Aiden in one arm, wrapping an arm around Ness with the other. "I think you're taking enough responsibility as it is." Ness looked at Dean, managing a small smile. "Come on. Show me."
Ness smiled, opening the door to the nursery.
§
Nursery
Ness walked in, turning on the light.
Dean walked inside. He stopped, looking around in awe.
Ness smiled a small smile. "So, what do you think?"
The nursery was complete with two cribs/cradles, dressers, bassinets, mobiles hanging from the ceiling over both of their cribs, and multiple stuffed animals and baby toys for them to play with.
One side of the room had Aiden's name on the wall in the same cute baby font that was on the door.
One the other side, in the same fashion, was Amara's name.
Dean was in awe. "I like it."
"The tour is not over yet," Ness told him, tuning off the light. "Look up."
Dean and Ness looked up at the ceiling.
Glow in the dark stars were on the ceiling for the babies to see while they were in their cribs.
Ness turned on the light, placing Amara in her crib.
Dean walked toward Aiden's crib to place him down, turning to face Ness curiously, surprised that she had done all of this. "Why didn't you tell me?"
"I wanted it to be a surprise," Ness answered. "Well, surprise."
"God, I love you," Dean told her.
Ness and Dean smiled, kissing for a long, passionate moment, pulling away.
"I love you, too," Ness told them.
They smiled, continuing to kiss.
§
Hospital - Room
The veins were spreading on both Sam and Catty.
Sam and Catty took some pills.
Sam looked into the mirror.
The rabid was handcuffed to one of the beds, waking up.
"What's your name?" Catty asked.
"Bite me," the rabid told her.
"Okay, 'Bite Me', how long have you been infected?" Catty asked.
"Could ask you the same thing," the rabid replied. "We smell our own."
"Answer the question," Sam told him.
"Why?" the rabid asked. "'Cause you two want to know how much time you got left?"
"We want to know everything," Sam told him.
"Uh-huh," the rabid told them. "What's in it for me?"
"Well, if we can find a cure--" Sam started.
"'If'?" the rabid repeated. "I want something real. Something I can hold in my hands."
"Like what?" Catty asked.
"Your pudding," the rabid answered.
Catty tossed the pudding cup to the rabid.
The rabid opened the pudding, eating with his fingers.
"We were infected last night," Sam told him. "You?"
"This morning," the rabid answered.
"Wait a second," Catty told him. "Then why--"
"Am I further along?" the rabid finished. "Don't know. This thing? It ain't math. I seen some people change fast, some change slow. But in the end... we all end up the same. We go psycho. And then we go boom."
"Well, that's not..." Sam trailed off. "We're gonna fix this."
"Liars!" the rabid told them. "You and me? We're dead. We're just taking our sweet time about it. So, if you were smart, you'd put a bullet in me... and then eat one yourselves."
Sam and Catty didn't answer.
§
Warehouse
Castiel was still chained with his hands above his head.
Castiel's phone was riding.
Angel 1 was looking at the Caller ID. "Hmm. 'Catty'. Winchester. Since Catty's the mother of your daughter Sabrina Winchester." He looked at Angel 2. "Do the honors." Angel 2 punched Castiel in the face, making him wake up. "Morning, handsome."
Castiel looked at Angel 1. "Efram." He looked at Angel 2. "Jonah. What's--what's happening?"
"We have some questions for you, Castiel," Jonah told him.
"Why am I..." Castiel trailed off. "Sabrina and Ava. They're looking for me."
"Yeah, but Sabrina and Octavia are not gonna find you," Efram told him. "And it's not because of the spell like they think it is. It's because we don't want them to find you. The warding all around the building."
Castiel looked as if he was doing everything he could to fight off the spell. "No."
"No what?" Jonah asked.
"No," Castiel told them. "You don't understand. I'm cursed. You should run."
§
Night - The Bunker - Dean and Ness' Room
Dean and Ness were sleeping.
They heard some thumping, knocking sound, waking up, sitting up in surprise.
"Did you hear that?" Ness asked.
There was a baby monitor on the dresser that allowed them to hear one of the babies crying.
§
Nursery
Ness walked in, freezing when she saw what was in front of her. "Dean! Get in here!"
Dean walked in. "What?"
Dean froze when he saw what she saw.
Blocks were spinning in the air, slamming into the walls.
Amara was wailing.
Aiden was starting to cry because of the sound.
Ness was in shock. "Oh, my God."
The blocks on the wall read:
Feed me.
Dean and Ness were in shock.
§
Hallway
Dean and Ness were talking to Sam and Catty over speaker phone.
Sam and Catty were in the hallway of the hospital.
"I mean, it sounds like something out of 'The Exorcist'," Catty told them.
"That's what I said," Dean told him.
"So, you thinking Demon?" Sam asked.
"Or Amara and Aiden got affected by the Mark when they were inside of me," Ness told them.
"No, that doesn't make sense, Ness," Sam told her. "I mean, Aiden and Amara are Human."
"Look, Sam, I know you and Catty are flying solo," Dean told him.
"No, we're--we're fine," Catty told them. "Look, don't--don't worry about us. Just figure out what's going on with Aiden and Amara. And if you need anything, then call us."
"Will do," Dean told them. "How you doing? How's 'Zombieland'?"
Catty sighed. "It's good. It's great."
"Have you tried calling Sabrina to see if she can fix the problem?" Ness asked. "Or Ava?"
"That was step numero dos," Catty told them. "But Sow and Ava are looking for Cas, and..."
"But nothing," Ness told her. "Call your daughter, Catty. Sam, call Ava."
Dean sighed. "Sow and Ava can help you guys and look for Cas at the same time. Those girls are powerful. What can't they do?"
"All right, I'm calling Ava," Sam told them. "Catty, call Sow."
§
Warehouse
Efram and Jonah were torturing Castiel with Angel Blades, making him scream in pain.
"Where's Metatron?" Efram asked.
"I don't know," Castiel told them.
Jonah cut his Angel Blade across Castiel's cheek, making him scream in pain.
"Where's Metatron, Castiel?" Efram asked.
"Mercy, brother, please," Castiel told him.
"Brother?" Efram repeated. "What are you?"
"W--what?" Castiel asked. "I'm an Angel of the Lord."
"That so?" Efram asked. "'Cause, near as I can tell, when you have to choose between Heaven and the Winchesters..."
"You chose them," Jonah told them.
"Every time," Efram told him. "So, see, you're not my brother. And if I had it my way, I'd take this blade..." He cut his Angel Blade over his chest. "Stick it in your heart... and call that a damn good day."
"No," Castiel told them.
"Don't worry," Jonah told him. "We're not gonna do that. The fun's just getting started."
Jonah stabbed Castiel in the side with his Angel Blade, making him scream in pain.
§
Hospital - Hallway
Sam, Catty, Octavia and Sabrina were talking.
"We can't find Cas," Octavia told them.
"What do you mean?" Sam asked.
"Aunt Ava means, it's like the spell Rowena put on Dad is blocking the signal somehow," Sabrina told them. She sniffed, looking at them in confusion. "What's wrong with you and Mom, Uncle Sam? You smell awful."
"Yeah, thanks, Sow," Catty told her sarcastically, hesitantly pulling down her jacket collar to show them the black veins on her neck.
Octavia walked closer. "What the hell?"
"It's the sickness we told you about," Catty answered. "I don't think it's something you guys can just heal, because things are never that easy in our lives, but..."
"But we gotta try," Octavia finished. Sabrina and Octavia put their hands over the black veins over Catty and Sam, a white light emanating from their hands as they tried to heal them. It didn't work. Octavia sighed, turning away. "Damn it. Sam..."
"Look, Ava, it's okay," Sam told her. "Catty and I didn't think it would be that easy, anyway."
Sabrina kicked a table, pushing it down the hallway, surprising them with the sudden burst of anger. "No, it's not okay, Uncle Sam. None of this is okay." She turned to face them. "Aunt Ava and I can't find Dad because of some stupid, stupid spell, and we can't heal you because it's a sickness from the smoke that was released when the Darkness was set loose." She sighed, sitting down in a chair at the end of the hallway. "I feel useless when, up until we released the Darkness, I was supposedly the strongest, most powerful creature out there."
Catty sighed, sitting next to Sabrina. "Don't be so hard on yourself. We'll figure it out. We always do. Ava said that you wiped an entire squad of cops' memories and sent them away simultaneously."
"So?" Sabrina asked.
"So, that means you're a lot more powerful than you think you are, Sabrina, and no matter what comes our way, no matter what bumps in the road we hit, you will always find a way," Catty answered. "Including finding Cas. You and Ava can find Cas. You can do anything. I have complete faith in you, and Ava, and Cas. And I have to have faith in the fact that Cas will be okay. You can do anything."
"Do you really believe that?" Sabrina asked.
"Yeah, you bet your ass I do," Catty answered. "All right?"
Sabrina was about to say something.
They heard singing echoing through the hallways, in a women's voice. "O death / O death / O death, won't you spare me over another year?" Sam, Octavia, Catty and Sabrina started to follow the sound of her voice into another hallway. "Oh, what is this that I can't see with ice-cold hands taking hold of me? / When God is gone, and the Devil takes hold, who'll have mercy on your soul?" The woman looked at them. "Hey, guys."
"You're a Reaper," Octavia told her.
"Mm," the Reaper answered. "You and your family have been real good for business lately. And I'm not just talking about gutting my boss."
"I'm sorry about Death," Octavia told her.
"So am I," the Reaper told them. "But people are still dying, so... work to do... souls to collect... messages to deliver."
"What kind of messages?" Sam asked.
"It's over," the Reaper told them.
"What's over?" Sam asked.
"You Winchesters dying and coming back again and again," the Reaper answered. "The old Death thought it was funny. But now, there's one, hard, fast rule in this universe. What lives... dies. So, the next time you guys bite it... Well, you're not going to Heaven... or Hell. One of us, and, Lord, I hope it's me, we're gonna make a mistake and toss you out into the Empty." Octavia knew what that meant, looking away. The Reaper stepped closer to Sabrina. "And nothing comes back from that. I doubt even Sabrina Winchester, the True Hybrid, could reach out there and pull them back."
"Wanna bet?" Sabrina asked.
"I'll be looking forward to seeing you try," the Reaper told her. She turned around, walking away. "Name's Billie, by the way."
Sam, Octavia, Catty and Sabrina exchanged a look.
§
Warehouse
Castiel was still chained up.
Efram and Jonah were still torturing him with Angel Blades.
"Again, Metatron, where is he?" Efram asked.
"I don't know," Castiel told them.
"But you, Sabrina and Octavia broke him out of Heaven," Jonah told him.
"Yes," Castiel agreed.
"And Sabrina took his Grace," Jonah told him.
"Yes," Castiel agreed.
"And you expect us to believe he, what, just gave you, Sabrina and Octavia the slip?" Efram asked. "No powers, no wings?"
"What he lacks in power, he makes up for in knowledge," Castiel told them. "He knew a spell that could kill Sabrina and Ava. They were dying. I had to take my Grace back to heal them. That's when Metatron escaped."
§
Hospital - Hallway
Sam walked by his computer, seeing that the veins on his neck were growing. He knew that time was running around, turning around to see a hospital directory behind him.

Chapel
Sam walked inside, sitting down. "So... I know it's been a long time, but... We've--we've been through a lot of bad. But this is different. This is our fault, and I don't know how to fix it. And if I have to die, I've made my peace with that, but... Please. Catty deserves better. She deserves a life. Sabrina needs her mother. Cas needs Catty, too. I wish that I didn't have to leave Ava. There are people out there, good people, who are going to suffer because of us, and I am not asking you to clean up our mess. Hell, I don't even know if you're out there, but... If you are... and if you can hear me, I, um... we need your help, God. We need to know there's hope. We need a sign. We need faith."
Nothing happened.
§
Hallway
Sam walked into the hallway. He was struck by a vision, falling to his knees.
§
Vision
Sam was being tortured, chains going through his stomach, his eyes forced to be open by chains. He could be heard screaming in agony.
§
Hospital - Hallway
Sam was breathing heavily, looking up in confusion. "What does that mean?"
Octavia walked into the hall to see Sam on the floor, running closer worriedly. "Sam? Sam, are you okay? Sam?"
Sam breathed heavily, nodding, holding his head in pain. "I'm fine." Octavia knelt next to him, holding him worriedly in desperation, desperate to find a way to save him and Catty. "I'm okay, Ava."
Octavia shook her head. "No. No, you're not. I'm gonna find a way to save you and Catty, Sam. But we're running out of time. I never thought that I would feel the feeling of unable to lose someone they love."
Sam smiled sadly. "I know the feeling. Now you know what I felt like when I lost you, Ava. I can't lose you, either. I love you."
Octavia sighed, leaning her head against Sam's. "Don't say that like it's goodbye. But I love you too."
They had tears in their eyes, holding each other close in desperate worry, kissing sadly in passion as if it was for the last time in case it was.
§
Waiting Room
Catty was in even worse shape. She was having trouble holding it together, hearing voices in her head, her vision coming in and out.
Castiel: (voice over) "Catty. Catty. Catty." (repeating) "Catty. Catty. Catty. Catty."
Sabrina walked toward Catty, blurred in Catty's vision. "Mom? Mom, you're fine. You're gonna be okay."
Alastair: (voice over from 4.16 On the Head of a Pin) "Heaven / I'm in Heaven / And my heart beats so I can hardly speak."
Catty held her head in pain, trying not to let the song get to her, turning away from Sabrina, closing her eyes.
Alastair: (voice over from 4.16 On the Head of a Pin) "I seem to find the happiness I seek / When we're dancing cheek to cheek. You remember that song, don't you, Grasshopper?"
"Mom?" Sabrina asked.
Sam and Octavia walked closer in concern.
"Is she okay?" Octavia asked.
Catty held her head in pain, her eyes still closed.
Hallucination!Brett: (voice over from 10.19 The Werther Project) "You would never be able to forgive yourself, would you?"
Sabrina held Catty close to her, shaking her head.
Octavia turned to face Sam as if she was just starting to realize something. "Sam, all of this, the Darkness, the--the 'rabids'... it was a Biblical sickness."
"So?" Sam asked.
"So we need to find a Biblical purification," Octavia answered.
"Okay," Sam told her. "Do you have any in mind, Ava?"
Octavia walked toward the duffel on the counter. "Only one." She pulled out a container of Holy Oil, pouring it on the floor, surrounding Sam and Catty. "Sabrina, light it up."
Sabrina realized she meant Holy Fire, looking at circle of Holy Oil around Sam and Catty, focusing, using magic to set it into Holy Fire.
Sam and Catty started to gasp and shake. Their veins started to burn away. They fell to their knees, groaning in pain.
The Holy Fire faded into nothing.
Octavia and Sabrina walked toward Sam and Catty instantly, kneeling next to them, holding them.
"Mom?" Sabrina asked. "Uncle Sam? Mom? Uncle Sammy?" Sam and Catty gasped for breath. Their vision and their minds started to clear. "You're okay. You're okay. It's gone. You're okay."
Sam and Catty were still breathing heavily, nodding.
Octavia and Sabrina looked at each other in relief.
§
Octavia and Sabrina helped Sam and Catty stand.
"Sam?" Octavia asked.
"We're okay, Ava," Sam told her.
Sam and Octavia smiled in relief, holding each other close. Sam placed a hand on either of her cheeks to kiss her very passionately, while they both chuckled in relief and happiness. Catty and Sabrina managed smiles to see them like this.
Octavia looked at Sabrina. "I realized something. All of the Bibles and the sicknesses and Angels and God. We sensed other Angels other that just Cas when we were looking for him, right?" Sabrina nodded. "Rowena's spell is not what is stopping us from finding Cas, Sabrina."
Sabrina realized what she already had. "It's Angels."
"They have him," Octavia told them. "And if they're stopping us from finding Cas, then we're not gonna be looking for Cas."
Sabrina nodded in agreement. "We'll be looking for the Angels."
"All right," Sam told them. "Good luck."
"Are you sure you guys got this?" Sabrina asked.
"Yeah," Sam answered. "Catty and I are okay now. You just go and make sure that Cas is, too. Thank you, guys."
"Bring Cas home," Catty told them.
Octavia and Sabrina nodded.
Sabrina walked toward Octavia, taking her arm. They disappeared, leaving.
Sam and Catty looked at each other, still a little breathless.

The Bunker - Kitchen
Ness was getting things for the babies down in the kitchen, on the phone. "So a Reaper came to tell you that once we die again, then we won't be able to come back because she'll throw our souls out into the Empty where no one can get our souls back?"
Catty's voice was on the other line. "Basically, yeah." She was in the hospital chapel with Sam. Both of them were pouring Holy Oil onto the floor. "Her name's Billie."
"And Daphne, AKA Ava, helped solve the little mystery," Ness told her.
"Yeah, I guess," Catty answered. "If Ava is Daphne, does that make you Velma?"
Ness smiled. "Obviously. Listen, I gotta go. But thanks for the update."
"Of course," Catty told her.
"I gotta tell Dean," Ness told her.
Catty nodded. "Yeah. See you guys soon.'
Ness nodded. "Yeah."
Ness hung up.

Warehouse
Castiel was still chained up.
Efram and Jonah were still torturing him with Angel Blades, making him scream.
Hannah walked in. "Enough. He's not lying."
"Hannah?" Castiel asked. "What are you doing?"
"Getting answers," Hannah answered. "I'm sorry, Castiel, but there's no other choice. No other way. If you can't tell us where Metatron is, maybe Sabrina and Octavia can."
Castiel looked at Hannah in confusion.
The door was burst open with magic and a violent flash of white light. Sabrina and Octavia walked in.
"How did you find him?" Efram asked.
"We didn't," Sabrina answered. "Aunt Ava here found out that it was Angels stopping us from finding my Dad, so we started to look for you instead."
Octavia sighed. "And then it took Sabrina no time at all to find you."
Hannah looked at Efram and Jonah. "Give me a moment to talk to Castiel, Octavia and Sabrina alone. Get out. Now."
Efram and Jonah walked out, leaving.
Octavia walked toward Hannah in confusion. "What are you doing? Hannah, we're friends. We worked together. We fought together."
"I know," Hannah told her. "But something's happened, Octavia. Something horrible. And we need to stop it."
Sabrina walked past them toward Castiel, going to unchain him from the ceiling.
"No, Sow," Castiel told her. "This is safer."
"I don't care," Sabrina told him. "I'm going to help you."
"Can you heal me?" Castiel asked.
Sabrina put two fingers to his forehead, but it didn't work. "I can't." She lowered her arm. "I'm sorry."
"It's powerful magic from the Book of the Damned and one of the most powerful Witches in the world," Octavia told them.
"And it's just been one of those days," Sabrina told them.
Castiel shifted uncomfortably within his chains. "I feel the spell just cutting deeper and deeper, and I'm trying to fight it. I'm trying, but..."
"Does it have anything to do with the disturbance in Lebanon, Kansas?" Hannah asked.
Sabrina turned to face Hannah. "You know about that?"
"Alarms have been sounding in Heaven," Hannah told them. "Alarms that haven't gone off in... ever. We don't even know what they mean."
Octavia sighed. "Those alarms are for the Darkness."
§
The Bunker - Nursery
Dean walked in.
Aiden and Amara were still crying.
Castiel: (voice over) "The Darkness is a story."
Dean picked up Aiden to soothe him.
Octavia: (voice over) "No, it's not. It's real. The Darkness... it's been locked away since the dawn of creation."
Dean walked toward Amara in her crib, still holding Aiden, trying to calm them both down. "Shh, Aiden. Amara, shh. Nessie's getting you guys food, all right?"
Octavia: (voice over) "And now it's free."
§
Warehouse
Castiel was still chained up.
Sabrina, Octavia and Hannah were still standing nearby.
Hannah looked terrified. "God help us."
"I wouldn't count on that," Sabrina told them.
"Where is it?" Castiel asked.
Octavia sighed, shaking her head. "I don't know."
§
The Bunker - Nursery
Dean saw something on Amara, looking confused. He put Aiden in a bassinet, leaning over Amara's crib to look more closely, pulling the onesie down slightly to reveal the Mark of Cain on her collarbone. He looked worried.
§
Kitchen
Ness was making baby bottles. She heard a thump from upstairs, looking at the ceiling in confusion.
§
Warehouse
Castiel was still chained up.
Sabrina, Hannah and Octavia were standing nearby.
"Then who would?" Hannah asked. "The other Winchesters? Sabrina, if this is true, it's the end for all of us. Sam, Dean, Catty and Ness. Where are they?"
Octavia shook her head. "I don't know. Sabrina and I've spent all this time trying to find Cas."
"Then think harder, Octavia," Hannah told her.
Efram and Jonah walked in.
"They won't tell you anything," Efram told her. He looked at Octavia, Castiel and Sabrina. "We took a vote. Democracy in action, and... Hannah's doing the job."
"I won't give you my family," Sabrina told them. "You'll have to kill me. Oh, wait, no. You can't even do that."
"We might not be able to kill you," Jonah told her, putting an Angel Blade to Castiel's throat from behind. "But we can kill your father."
Sabrina tilted her head, unimpressed, pointing from Jonah to the wall, using magic to throw him into the wall, making him fall. Jonah stood, trying to stab Sabrina.
Sabrina caught his wrist, turning it around on Jonah, stabbing him in the stomach, killing him, making him flash with bright white light, taking it out, letting him fall. "I'm sorry. But I've had a rough go over the last few days, and when my family is dying or in danger, I get a little carried away."
Sabrina turned to unchain Castiel.
Efram stood behind Hannah. "So do I."
Efram stabbed Hannah in the back of the neck with an Angel Blade, killing her, making her flash with bright white light.
"No!" Octavia told him.
Efram pushed Hannah's body into Octavia, making it fall to the floor. He slashed toward Octavia with his Angel Blade. Octavia backed away enough to make him miss, drawing her Angel Sword. Efram tried to stab her. Octavia blocked the move with her sword, punching him in the face twice, stabbing him in the stomach with her sword, killing him, making him flash with bright white light, taking it out, letting him fall to the floor.
Sabrina looked at Hannah's body sadly.
Castiel broke free from the rest of his restraints. "Sabrina. Ava."
Sabrina and Octavia turned to face him.
"Cas?" Octavia asked. "Cas?"
Castiel stayed where he was, breathing heavily, trying to fight the spell that wanted to make him kill anything and everything. He started to fall.
Sabrina and Octavia caught Castiel in their arms, kneeling on the floor with him.
"Dad?" Sabrina asked worriedly. "Dad."
Castiel didn't answer, unconscious.
Sabrina and Octavia looked at each other worriedly.

Hospital - Hallway
(Song:) Sugar Shack - Jimmy Gilmer and the Fireballs
Music was playing loudly, luring three rabids into the hospital hallway. Two of them were women. One of them was a man. They followed the sound of the music toward the hospital chapel.
§
Chapel
Sam and Catty were waiting by the radio.
The three rabids walked in.
Sam and Catty lit matches, dropping them onto the circles of Holy Oil that surrounded them.
The rabids started to gasp and shake. Their veins started to burn away. They fell to their knees, groaning in pain.
The Holy Fire faded into nothing.
The two women and the man were breathing heavily.
Sam and Catty walked closer, kneeling in front of them.
"Hey," Catty told them. "You guys okay?"
They nodded, smiling gratefully in relief.
"Thank you," Woman 1 told them.
Sam nodded. "Let's go save the rest of them."
Sam and Catty helped the two women and the man stand.

The Bunker - Kitchen
Ness turned around with the baby bottles in her hands.
Dean walked in, looking different. He looked void of emotion. "Something's different about Amara."
"It was Amara doing all of that?" Ness asked.
"Yeah," Dean answered. "Amara's radiating power. That thing... it's old... deep... dark."
"What are you talking about?" Ness asked. "Dean, what's wrong with you?"
"I don't feel anything," Dean answered. Ness looked at him in confusion. "Amara has the Mark of Cain on her collarbone, but it's more of a... birthmark, really."
Ness remembered.
§
Flashback - 11.01 "Out of the Darkness, into the Fire"
Darkness
Ness and the Darkness were surrounded by black smoke.
Ness looked at her in confusion, noticing the Mark of Cain was on her collarbone underneath her dress.
§
Now
Night - The Bunker - Kitchen
Ness was putting the pieces together, in denial. She put the baby bottles down. "No."
"Yeah," Dean answered, stepping closer. "She sucked out my soul."
Ness took a step back. "What are you talking about? How is that even possible?"
"Amara's hungry," Dean told her. "She's a growing girl."
§
Nursery
Aiden was still in the bassinet.
Amara was still in her crib. She started to morph into an older version of herself.
§
Kitchen
Dean and Ness were still talking.
Ness looked at him in concern. "Dean. Listen to me. Whatever's happened, whatever's going on, we can fix it, okay?"
"It's ironic that you say that, Ness," Dean told her, starting to circle around Ness. "Considering that I used to say that all the damn time when you had the Mark of Cain. It was always about saving you. Saving Aiden and Amara. Only, when the Darkness took you, she didn't take you just to chitchat. She took you so that she could possess Amara while she was still in your womb. Our daughter is possessed by the Darkness."
Ness shook her head in denial. "No."
Dean nodded. "Yeah."
§
Nursery
Amara stepped out of her crib.
Aiden was crying.
Amara looked over the edge of the bassinet to look at Aiden inside. She looked to be about 8 or 9 years old.
§
Kitchen
Ness looked to be in denial, but like she knew what Dean was telling her was the truth, horrified and desperate.
Dean was still circling around Ness. "Don't worry. Even if I have no soul... I'm not going to hurt you."
"Why?" Ness asked.
"Because Amara is indebted to you," Dean answered. "She's indebted to me, too."
"Then why did Amara take your soul?" Ness asked.
"Because that's how she grows," Dean answered. "That's how she gets stronger. Amara can't be a baby forever, now can she?"
§
Nursery
There were three boxes of clothes on the dresser on Amara's side of the room. One was labelled 'Baby Sabrina clothes'. One was labelled 'Eight year old Sabrina clothes'. One was labelled 'Tween Sabrina clothes.'
Amara walked toward the box that said 'Eight year old Sabrina clothes'. She went through the box, finding a dark red dress, pulling it on.
§
Hallway
Ness walked down the hallway toward the nursery, seeing that the door was open, confused.
§
Nursery
Ness walked in.
Aiden was still in the bassinet, crying.
Ness walked closer, seeing that Amara's crib was empty. She walked toward the bassinet, picking up Aiden, comforting him.
Dean stood in the doorway. "She's long gone."
Ness looked at him sarcastically. "Yeah. And while she was on her way out the door, you were too busy babbling, distracting me, so I couldn't stop her."
"Hey, it's not like I knew what she was gonna do," Dean told her. "And you wouldn't have been able to stop her. And Amara can take care of herself, Ness. Amara is the Darkness."
Ness shook her head. "No. Amara's possessed by the Darkness. There's a difference, Dean."
Dean nodded sarcastically. "Oh, of course there is."
Ness gave him a look.
Dean smirked slightly, looking at Aiden in her arms.
Aiden slowly stopped crying.
Ness held him close to her chest, looking devastated and overwhelmed at the thought of losing the daughter she had just gotten, and Dean losing his soul, no matter how long he didn't have it.
§
Library
Sam, Catty and Ness were talking alone, the library still trashed.
Sam and Catty were in shocked denial.
"Dean really doesn't have his soul?" Sam asked.
"I swear, Sam, I looked into his eyes, and saw nothing of our Dean," Ness told him.
"I still don't understand," Sam told them. "I mean, I thought the Darkness was a woman, not a child."
Ness shrugged. "Well, same here. I don't know. Maybe whatever it was a vision."
"Vision?" Catty repeated.
"Yeah," Ness answered.
Sam looked away. "Yeah, pretty weird."
"Yeah, weird with a weird cherry on a weird top," Catty agreed. Ness looked down. "You're not the only one looking, Ness. I promise. We'll find Amara, we'll find a way to save her, find a way to get Dean's soul back, and then kick the Darkness' ass."
"Catty, you really think that we can do all of that?" Ness asked.
Catty shrugged. "There's only one way to find out."
Dean walked in.
Sam, Catty and Ness fell silent, looking down.
"Well, don't get quiet on the account of me," Dean told them. "Don't worry. Whatever you say about me, I can't take offense to it, because I don't give a damn."
"Yeah, well, that's not gonna last long," Catty told him.
Dean shrugged. "I guess we'll see about that, won't we?" He looked around the trashed library. "We got to get a maid. But, you know, one with a--a little uniform, and a really big, uh..."
Sabrina, Castiel and Octavia appeared in front of them, surprising them.
Sabrina and Octavia were holding Castiel standing with an arm over either of their shoulders.
Catty walked closer worriedly. "Sow? Cas? Ava?"
"Hi," Octavia told them.
Sam and Ness were in shock.
Dean looked confused and amused.
Sabrina tried to lighten the mood. "Well, we found Dad."
"Help me," Castiel told them.
Catty looked at Sam, Ness and Dean, sighing heavily.

Day Two
Morning - Street
Amara was walking down the sidewalk, barefoot.
Crowley was standing nearby a van. "My, aren't you a sweet, young thing? I know who you are. And I know what you want." He opened the van door to reveal tied and gagged people inside. "Want some candy, little girl?"
Crowley smirked.
Amara smiled.
