From 1.01 "Pilot", on the road, Cassie and Cami drove into Chance Harbor.

Nick: (voice over) "Previously on Worlds Colliding (Secret Circle)."

From 1.01 "Pilot", outside the Blake House, Cami and Cassie got out of the car, looking at the house.

Amelia: (voice over from 1.01 Pilot) "My sweet Cassie and Camille. You finding this means I'm gone, and for that I am so sorry."

From 1.02 "Bound", in Cassie's room, Cassie and Cami were going through their family Book of Shadows.

Amelia: (voice over from 1.01 Pilot) "I didn't want you to have this life, but destiny's not easy to run from."

From 1.01 "Pilot", in the school hallway, Tricia, Eli, Elijah and Nick were standing together.

Adam walked up to them. "Have you seen them yet?"

"They got in yesterday," Nick explained.

From 1.01 "Pilot", in the witch house, the group was gathered.

"We're different," Eli told them. "You're different."

Fiona walked up to Cassie and Cami. "You're witches. You're full blooded, hundred perfect witches. We all are."

"The only one out of us here that is not a witch is Harper," Eliot told them. "He's a psychic."

From 1.01 "Pilot", in the woods, Adam and Cassie were floating water, nearly kissing. Nate and Cami exploded rocks into sparks, looking at each other, laughing.

Fiona: (voice over from 1.01 Pilot) "With them here, we have real power now."

From 1.01 "Pilot", on the porch of the Chamberlain house, Fiona looked at Max. "Instead of worrying about me, Faye and Eliot, you should really worry about what happens if Tricia has a bipolar episode with all this magic and power just waiting to be tapped into."

"Eli and Elijah are trying to find a way to help Tricia control that," Max explained.

From 1.01 "Pilot", in the woods, Tricia walked through the woods, struggling to stay calm, but her magic lashing out because of an episode caused by her disorder, and since the circle's magic was magnified so much by Cassie and Cami's arrival, the magic was uncontrollable. When Tricia's magic lashed out, trees were splintering and falling down by wind and magic, set ablaze with fire.

Eliot: (voice over from 1.01 Pilot) "With your circle's magic going haywire now that the Blake girls are back in town, now is not the time for Tricia to have an episode, since your power is magnified a hundred times over."

Eli and Elijah found her, running up to Tricia. Eli got Tricia to sit down, kneeling in front of her, as the two helped Tricia through the episode to calm her down. Elijah held out his hand for Tricia to take. Tricia hesitated but took Elijah's hand. Eli took Tricia's other hand so they could help her up.

Elijah: (voice over from 1.01 Pilot) "Let me and Eli handle it. Tricia will lash out more from fear of hurting someone else if anyone else is there."

From 1.01 "Pilot", in Faye's room, Faye and Eli sat on her bed.

"Why doesn't Tricia just take her meds?" Faye asked.

"Because meds like that can make someone suicidal, especially someone like Tricia who also has depression and no family left," Eli answered.

From 1.01 "Pilot", outside the Chamberlain House, Dawn looked at Charles. "They've got the gift."

"Are you sure you can get Cassie and Cami to do what we need?" Charles asked.

Dawn shook her head. "The circle will take care of that without even knowing it."

From 1.04, 1.05, there were flashes of Demon Heather, Demon Melissa, and Demon Nick, all with the snake slithering underneath their skin.

Eli: (voice over from 1.05 Slither) "Possession. Demons need human form to be fully active."

From 1.05 "Slither", in the witch house, Nate looked at the others. "I'm not losing Nick."

Tricia shook her head. "We have to save Nick."

From 1.05 "Slither", in the Boathouse, Nick/Abaddon sat next to Dawn. "I need a new body. Yours will do fine."

From 1.05 "Slither", at the drydocks, Charles came out of nowhere, punching Nick/Abaddon hard in the head, enough to knock him out.

Dawn turned to face him. "You know what we have to do."

From 1.05 "Slither", at the waterfront, Charles pushed Nick under the water, holding the struggling teen down to drown the demon.

Dawn: (voice over from 1.05 Slither) "Drowning the demon is the only way to save Nick."

Tricia, Nate, Cami, Cassie and Jane ran closer, not seeing Dawn and Charles since they vanished, but seeing Nick's dead body on the ground. Nate and Tricia ran down the way to Nick, kneeling next to him. Nate was in complete shock, not able to breathe, as Cami held him, both having tears in their eyes.

Fiona ran toward Cassie and Tricia to kneel next to Tricia on the other side to help Cassie comfort her so Tricia didn't have an episode and hurt herself. "Tricia... Nate..."

Eliot, Eli and Elijah walked closer to help Tricia before she could have a episode and hurt herself or others. None of them knew how to help Nate and Tricia with them, as they were all trying to process that Nick was dead.

Day One

Night - Hartley House - Outside

Tricia was sitting on the porch of her house, unable to sleep, gazing off at nothing. Hearing a whooshing and burning sound, Tricia jumped up, running down the steps to the sidewalk, looking for the source of the sound. She stopped when she saw the fire was coming from the backyard of the Armstrong House.

Nate ran out of the Armstrong House, stopping when he saw his brother standing by the fire. "Jake."

Jake turned to face Nate. "Hey, Nate. Sorry I'm late." Nate didn't know what else to say, looking at the fire. Jake seemed to know they were being watched, looking toward the sidewalk where Tricia was. "That Tricia?"

Nate turned to follow his gaze. Tricia backed away from the house back toward her own, watching as Jake and Nate put out the fire, confused and reeling to see Jake back.

❈ Worlds Colliding (Secret Circle) ❈

Day Two

Morning - Blake House - Kitchen

Jane had been cooking cookies, pulling the cookie sheet out of the oven, setting them in front of Cami and Cassie. "Good morning. Baking some things for Nick's wake tomorrow."

"I woke up late last night and saw Tricia over at Nick and Nate's yard last night," Cami explained. "There was another guy there."

"It must have been Nate and Nick's older brother Jake," Jane told them.

"Tricia, Nate and Nick said something about Jake a little while back," Cassie remembered.

"Jake left town a couple years ago," Jane explained. "He was a troubled young man back then. Much like Nate and Nick, but closer to Tricia's troublesome ways."

Cami nodded sadly. "And now Jake, Tricia and Nate all lost Nick."

Cassie shook her head. "We bound that circle with no clue what we were doing, and look what's happened. Maybe it's for the best that it's broken now."

"It's not, Cassie," Jane told her. "The circle is still bound."

"But Nick's gone," Cassie told her in confusion.

"The ceremony you did doesn't just bind you to the ones in the ceremony," Jane explained. "It binds you to each other's bloodlines. Not just Cami, Fiona, Max and Nate, but Jake, too."

"Really?" Cami asked.

"Yeah," Jane answered. "Circles were designed to last and to protect witches and non-witches."

Cassie shook her head. "Okay, I can't deal with this right now."

Cassie and Cami grabbed their stuff.

"You have to know to stay safe," Jane told them.

Cami sighed sadly. "How did this happen?"

"I know it's a lot, but you're both stronger than you realize," Jane told them. "Cassie, Cami, your lineage goes back to the very beginning of witchcraft. It's more powerful than any of the others, and you were born with the responsibility to lead and protect your circle. Your two groups make one big circle."

Cassie and Cami didn't know what to say.

Meade House - Max's Room

Diana and Max were going through old pictures of them and others as kids.

Charles walked in. "Diana. Max."

They looked up.

"Hey, Daddy," Diana told him.

"I'm gonna go in to the office for a few hours today," Charles told them. "I won't be long." Max picked up a picture. "What's that?"

"People are bringing photos of Nick to the wake," Max explained. "I didn't think we had any. We weren't great friends. Then we remembered this."

Max handed the picture to Charles. The picture was of five kids (two girls, one with brown hair and one with black hair), and three boys (one with brown hair, and two with blonde).

"That's me, Max, Nick, Nate and Tricia, isn't it?" Diana asked.

Charles nodded. "Yeah, when Nick, Nate and Tricia were little, they used to come and look at the boats. Sometimes I'd take you five out for a spin."

"I remember," Max said.  "Tricia and Nate loved it, but Nick was scared. He just clung to your arm. I don't understand. That's his whole life? That's all he gets?"

"And what about Tricia's episodes?" Diana asked. "She already almost had a breakdown the night we found Nick. And Nate... he just lost his brother."

Diana started to cry.

Charles looked even more guilty and self-loathing for being the one to kill Nick. "I wish I had answers for you, but..."

Boathouse

(Song:) Still Life - The Horrors

Diana, Max, Adam, Harper Cami and Cassie were setting up the Boathouse for the wake the following day.

Eli, Eliot and Elijah walked in with food.

Ethan walked toward them. "Hey. How you doing?"

"Okay, I guess," Elijah answered.

"Thanks," Eli told him.

Ethan took the food. "I'll put these in the kitchen."

"Okay," Eli agreed.

Ethan walked away. The Westons walked up to Cassie, Cami, Diana, Adam and Harper.

"You guys are putting all this together?" Eliot asked.

Harper nodded. "Nick, Nate and Jake's aunt left town to stay with family. Melissa, Nate and Tricia are struggling."

"And there's no one else that could do it," Elijah finished. "And we shouldn't put this on Nate, Tricia and Melissa."

"No, we should not," Eliot agreed.

"Well, Jake is in town," Cami told them.

"Yeah, and we need to talk about him," Cassie told them.

"Jake's back?" Adam asked.

"He's not gonna miss his brother's funeral, Adam," Diana told him.

"Yeah, he would," Harper told them. "Guy didn't care about anyone but himself."

Cassie frowned. "He's really that awful?"

"He used to work at the Boathouse," Max explained.

"My dad gave him a job when no one else would, and then he robs the place one night after work," Adam ranted. "He stole everything my dad had and took off out of town."

"They almost lost the Boathouse," Diana went on. "Adam and Harper haven't forgiven him for that."

"Apparently not," Eli agreed.

Harper shook his head. "Nope. Not gonna, either."

"From what Nate and Nick said, that's the same night that Jake stood up Tricia and took off out of town," Cami told them. "The same night Tricia's aunt died two years ago and her episodes started."

"Yeah," Elijah answered. "Eli and I've been able to help her a lot better now that Tricia's magic is bound, though."

"It's still hard for Eli and Elijah, though to help Tricia control it," Eliot told them. "I wonder why."

"Maybe Tricia's magic is a lot stronger than we thought it was," Max answered.

"Tricia's magic being that strong is the only explanation," Diana agreed.

"I guess," Cami sighed.

Eli sighed. "What were you gonna say about Jake?"

"Nate and Jake's bloodline is still bound to the circle," Cassie answered. "Jake's part of it like we are."

"What?" Adam asked, not happy.

Tricia, Faye, Fiona and Melissa were sitting at a table.

Fiona was trying to make Tricia and Melissa feel better. "Amy Leone stood up in English lit yesterday and read this tragic poem she wrote about Nick, something about thorns and a rose or vine."

"God," Melissa sighed.

"The whole thing was pretty hilarious," Faye told them.

Fiona gave Faye a look. "Hilarious is not the word I would use."

Faye looked out the window. "Oh, my God."

"What?" Melissa asked.

"Jake Armstrong is here with Nate," Faye answered.

They looked toward the door as Nate and Jake walked in.

"I know," Tricia said. "I saw Jake show up last night at Nate's."

Diana and Max saw Tricia and Nate.

"Hey, Tricia, Nate," Diana called. "Come over here, please."

Tricia and Nate both let out a long sigh, walking over to them.

"What?" Tricia asked.

Max showed Tricia and Nate the picture. "Diana and I found a picture of us and Nick when our dad had used to take us fishing, remember?" Tricia and Nate nodded. "We just figured that you guys didn't have many pictures, so we picked that one for all of us."

"Well, you thought right," Nate told them.

Tricia shook her head at the sight of people bringing in food, feeling more angry than sad. "Do people really think having a wake with food and presents is gonna make everything okay? Make the pain go away?"

"They're just trying to help," Elijah told her sadly.

"Yeah, I get that," Nate told them. "But food gifts and an apology isn't gonna bring my brother back."

Jake walked closer. "Nate. Tricia. Relax."

Tricia sighed, frustrated even more. "Great, Jake."

"Nice to see you too, Tric," Jake told her sarcastically. The others looked at Jake tensely. "Adam. Harper. I heard you and Ethan were holding the wake here, so tagged along with Nate. Just wanted to stop by and say I appreciate that."

Harper nodded tensely. "Um, we're glad to do it."

"That's great," Jake told them. "No reason for the three of us to get bogged down in ancient history, right?"

Adam shook his head, though he was still mad. "Like Harper said, we're glad to do it."

Cami tried to break the tension while checking in. "Hey, Nate. Tricia. Are you..."

"Not okay, if that's what you're asking," Nate answered. "But better than before. Which isn't a huge step up."

"I'll see you guys around," Jake told them, walking away.

Tricia rolled her eyes.

Eliot sighed sadly. "Tricia, Nate, I'm sorry. This is probably the last thing you guys wanna do."

"Pretty much," Nate answered.

Cassie nodded understandingly. "Well, we're here for you guys if you need us."

"Absolutely," Max agreed.

Fiona, Faye and Melissa had been watching from the table.

"Hey, Melissa, you should come by our place if you want to, I mean," Fiona told her. "We'll put on your favorite movies and songs and we can do whatever you want to."

Melissa grabbed her bag. "Yeah, that sounds like a great plan, Fiona. I'm just not up to it yet. I gotta go."

"Melissa," Faye said. "I know you miss Nick. We all do. But you can't spend the rest of your life lying on your bedroom floor, listening to depressing music."

Melissa gave her a hurt look. "It's been two days, Faye."

Melissa stood, walking away.

Fiona turned to give Faye a look. "What the hell was that?"

Faye knew that she screwed up by saying that, sighing.

(Song Ends)

Night - Chamberlain House - Kitchen

Jane followed Dawn into the kitchen. "I apologize for not calling first."

Dawn nodded. "No problem. I'm gonna make some tea. I have grief counselors coming to the school, but it's hard to make sense of such a senseless accident."

"Nick's death wasn't an accident," Jane told her.

Dawn looked up shadily, grabbing a knife from the knife block, placing it down next to her. "The police say he drowned."

"Nick was killed by a demon," Jane told her.

Dawn turned to face her, pretending to be surprised and confused. "A demon?"

Jane waked closer. "The children have bound their circle. They released a demon from Heather Barnes. Nick was its next host. He died trying to drown it."

"The circle is bound?" Dawn asked. "Oh, my God. That could have been Faye or Fiona. Are you gonna talk to the Elders? Have them strip the children of their powers?"

"No," Jane answered. "They need it to protect themselves." Dawn nodded in relief. "Can I count on your help to watch over them?"

Dawn nodded. "Of course."

Jane managed a small smile. "Thank you."

Witch House

The circle was having a meeting.

"There is no way I am gonna let Jake be a part of this circle," Adam told them.

"According to our grandmother, it's not up to us," Cassie told them. "He is by virtue of his bloodline."

"I mean, it's the same way that Nate, Max, Fiona and I are connected to all of you, because of our bloodlines being bound, right, ever since Eli and Elijah helped bind Tricia, Cassie, Diana, Melissa, Faye, Adam and Nick?" Cami asked. "Same thing for Jake."

"That doesn't mean we have to tell him," Harper told them.

"Don't we want to?" Nate asked.

"Nate, I know he's your brother, but..." Diana trailed off. "He's hurt a lot of people, including Tricia."

"You can't just replace Nick with Jake," Melissa told them. "It isn't right."

"I'm sorry," Eli told them. "I know how hard this must be."

"Nate, does he even know about us?" Elijah asked. "Or that he's part of the circle?"

Max spoke up. "I doubt it. He left before Diana and I found the book, before Nick and Nate knew, before Eli, Elijah and Eliot even got here."

"He could've found out on his own," Tricia told them. "Nate, Nick and Jake were always crafty like that."

"I don't know about Jake, but if he leaves, that leaves us at a disadvantage against whatever else comes for us," Fiona told them. "But I don't know if we can trust him or not."

"It's either bring Jake into the circle, or leave ourselves vulnerable," Cassie told them.

"Who died and made you queen witch?" Faye asked. The others gave her a look. "Sorry."

"I don't know, guys," Eliot admitted. "I mean, Cassie and Cami have got a point. But we don't know if we can trust Jake after all he's done to Adam, Harper, Tricia... even abandoning Nate and Nick."

They heard whooshing sounds from outside.

"What was that?" Adam asked.

"What's going on?" Diana asked.

"Is something burning?" Melissa asked.

They all walked outside, seeing a fire in the front yard.

"Damn it," Harper said.

"Who would do this?" Fiona asked.

"Oh, my God," Cami said. "It's coming straight for the house."

"We can put it out," Eli told them. "Come on. No air for fire."

They all chanted together. "No air for fire. No air for fire. No air for fire. No air for fire."

The fire was put out magically, revealing a crescent moon burned into the ground.

"What the hell?" Elijah asked.

"Oh, my God," Max said. "Look."

Tricia raised her eyebrows in shock. "Nate..."

"What?" Faye asked.

"What's wrong?" Eliot asked.

Nate looked stunned. "That's the same thing that happened outside my house last night."

❈❈

Everyone was looking at the burned mark in the ground.

"What is that?" Faye asked.

"It looks like a crescent moon," Eli answered.

"Wait, who could've down this?" Melissa asked.

"Could be Jake trying to scare us," Harper told them.

"Jake didn't do this," Nate told them.

"He doesn't know about us," Diana told them.

"Someone obviously does," Fiona replied.

"And they burned the symbol to prove it?" Max asked.

"That doesn't make any sense," Elijah told them.

Eliot sighed. "Look, we don't know anything right now."

"But you all obviously want to blame Jake," Tricia told them.

"For good reason," Adam replied.

"Not good enough without proof," Cami countered.

Cassie sighed. "Then how do we figure out who really did it?"

No one had an answer yet.

Chance Harbor Hospital - Waiting Room

Cassie and Cami walked up to where Jane was working as a nurse. "Grandma."

Jane was surprised to see her granddaughters there. "Cassie. Cami."

"There was a fire at the abandoned house," Cassie explained.

"Was anyone hurt?" Jane asked.

"No," Cami answered. "We put it out, but someone set it intentionally. And there was a crescent moon burnt into the ground. Do you know what it means?"

Jane led them away to speak alone. "It's an ancient symbol that means conquest."

"Conquest?" Cassie repeated.

Jane nodded. "It used to be burned onto the ground of a witch's land to try and scare them, let them know they'd been marked."

"You think someone is threatening us?" Cami asked.

"It certainly looks like it," Jane answered.

"Nate and Tricia said that last night, there was a fire like that at Nate and Jake's," Cassie explained.

"Have either of you, Nate or Tricia talked to Jake about the circle yet?" Jane asked.

"Not yet," Cami answered.

"Don't," Jane told them. "Not until we know that you all are safe."

Hartley/Blake/Armstrong House Street

(Song:) I Change Every Minute - Bronwen Exter

Tricia and Nate were walking down the street to return home, seeing Jake outside the Armstrong House.

"Hometown parasite returns," Tricia told him.

"You two are walking each other home now?" Jake asked. "Cute."

"After what happened with Nick, can't be too safe," Nate replied.

"No, you can't," Jake agreed. "You two sticking together would be for the best anyway."

"Surprised that you care," Tricia told him.

"Of course I care, after what happened to Nick," Jake told them.

Tricia shook her head. "Wasn't talking about Nick."

"Then what were you talking about, Tricia?" Jake asked.

Nate looked between them awkwardly. "All right, you two figure this out and try not to kill each other. Not gonna be in the middle of this. I'm out. Or inside. Whatever."

Nate walked inside the Armstrong House.

Tricia and Jake exchanged a look.

"I just wanted to say I'm sorry about Nick, and for earlier," Tricia told him.

"That's why you're still here talking to me?" Jake asked. "Figured that you would never want to talk to me again."

"I thought about avoiding you forever," Tricia admitted. "But I wanted to see if I should tell you something important, and if you wouldn't be such an ass, maybe I would tell you."

Jake nodded sarcastically. "Hmm. Really? Is that so?" Tricia shrugged. "So this wasn't about me? You didn't miss me the past two years?"

Tricia shook her head. "No, not really."

"Then what are you still doing here?" Jake asked knowingly. "I thought Tricia Hartley didn't care enough to stick around."

Tricia scoffed, shaking her head. "Good point." She turned to walk toward her house, but stopped. "Did you set that fire last night and today?"

Jake became serious at the mention of another fire. "What fire today?" Tricia shook her head, turning to walk away. Jake caught her arm. "Tell me what the hell you're talking about."

Tricia smirked sarcastically, giving him a cold look, leaning closer mockingly, her lips inches from his. "Let's get something clear. I don't listen to anyone. Not you, not anyone."

Tricia pulled her arm away, walking to her house. Jake sighed, watching her go.

(Song Ends)

Chamberlain House - Kitchen

Dawn was explaining to Charles, who looked distracted and out of it. "Jane could have ruined everything, but I handled her. She thinks we're allies. Charles, am I boring you?"

Charles looked at her, shaking his head. "No. Of course not. It's good. Jane's handled. I'm sorry. I haven't been sleeping very much."

"I know Nick's death has been hard on you," Dawn told him. "Don't lose focus, Charles. This new bond with Jane might be exactly the help we need."

"How?" Charles asked.

"Every family had a crystal at some point," Dawn pointed out. "And Jane's not just any Elder. She's a Blake. Now, there's a good chance she might still have one. And if we can get another crystal, then we can strengthen the one we have. We can locate the others, and we can finally get our powers back."

"Maybe," Charles agreed. "But it's hard to know anything anymore."

"Are you sure you're up to this, Charles?" Dawn asked. "Because if you're not--"

Charles nodded. "I am."

Armstrong House - Outside

Nate walked outside, seeing Jake was alone. "Tricia go home?"

"After a fight, yeah," Jake answered.

Nate nodded. "You deserved whatever she said."

"Because I took off without saying goodbye?" Jake asked.

"More like the fact that the night you took off, her aunt died," Nate answered. Jake looked at him, shocked but trying to not show much of a reaction. "The only family Tricia had left. With that, you taking off, her bipolar and depression, it sent her into a psyche ward for a week and it started episodes that she couldn't control."

Jake sighed, closing his eyes, holding his head. "I had no idea."

"I know," Nate agreed. "Why do you think Nick and I didn't talk to you after you took off?"

"I thought you were pissed that I abandoned you two," Jake answered. "I didn't know about Tricia or her aunt."

"Yeah," Nate agreed. "Well, now you do. So stop being a dick to her."

Jake sighed heavily.

Hartley House - Living Room

Tricia walked through her house, taking off her jacket, tossing it aside, turning around. A dark figure passed behind Tricia without her noticing.

Tricia felt like she was being watched, turning around, not seeing anyone. She walked along, feeling someone behind her, turning to face a woman in the shadows. "Who the hell are you? What do you want?"

The witch hunter Simone stepped out of the shadows with a blade. "Your blood."

Simone tried to attack Tricia. Tricia shoved her back, ducking another swipe of the blade, turning to push Simone into a glass case, making it shatter and making Simone fall. Simone stood, going to attack Tricia again.

Outside

Jake and Nate were still outside. Cassie and Cami were just getting home, getting out of Cassie's car, walking up to their house, seeing Jake and Nate.

"Hey, Nate," Cami told him.

"Cami," Nate replied.

"Friends of yours?" Jake asked sarcastically.

Nate sighed. "Jake, that's Cami Blake, a... friend." Cami noticed the hesitation, looking at him curiously. "And Cami's sister, Cassie. They live in the house between ours and Tricia's."

Jake nodded.

They all heard Tricia screaming from inside her house. Jake, Nate, Cassie and Cami exchanged a look, before taking off at a run to get to the Hartley House.

Hartley House - Living Room

Simone had tackled Tricia to the floor, cutting into her arm with the blade.

Jake, Nate, Cami and Cassie ran inside.

"Get off of her!" Cassie told her.

Simone turned to look at them. Tricia crawled back away, standing up.

Jake started a spell. "Burning star, blood red eye." Simone groaned as her eye started to burn. Jake walked closer. "Burning star, blood red eye."

Stunned that Jake already knew, Nate, Cami, Cassie and Tricia joined in with the chant. "Burning star, blood red eye. Burning star, blood red eye." Simone's eyes were completely red and burning intensely, as she backed away in pain. "Burning star, blood red eye."

Simone ran out of the house. Tricia looked at Jake, Nate, Cassie and Cami as they all exchanged a look.

❈❈

Cassie frowned in confusion. "Who the hell was that?"

"I have no clue," Jake told them. "But she seemed pretty intent on killing you, Tricia."

Jake grabbed a cloth to wrap around Tricia's wound.

"Why?" Tricia asked.

"Sorry, we were too busy trying to save your ass to ask her," Jake told her.

"Oh, do you want me to thank you?" Tricia asked sarcastically.

"No," Jake answered, looking at Nate, thinking about what he told her. "No, I don't deserve it."

Tricia looked at Nate, seeming to know that he told Jake, giving him a look. "Nate."

"Don't give me that look," Nate replied. "So, Jake, I guess you know you're a witch."

"Yeah," Jake agreed, pulling Tricia to a chair. "Here, sit."

Tricia gave Jake a look but sat down.

"But you left town before Diana and Max found their Book of Shadows, before Eli, Elijah and Eliot got to town," Cami told him.

"I found our book years ago," Jake explained. "I read enough of it to know a spell or two."

Nate nodded sarcastically. "Oh, nice of you to share that information with me and Nick."

"Sorry, Nate," Jake told him. "You two didn't need to know it at the time. Thought it could keep you out of trouble, but obviously that didn't work."

"We have a circle," Cassie explained. "We're all part of it. Nick was, too. You're a part of it, too."

Jake shook his head. "I don't want anything to do with your circle. You're just a bunch of kids in way over your heads."

Jake went to get some water.

"What were you doing in your yard last night?" Tricia asked.

Jake turned to look at them. "Putting out a fire. Someone, probably that crazy bitch that was just in here, burned a crescent into the ground."

Jake walked closer, pouring water on the cloth, putting it to Tricia's arm.

Tricia pulled her arm away and took hold of the cloth. "I can do it."

Jake chuckled. "Of course you can. Forgot how stubborn you were."

Tricia smirked sarcastically. "I can take it from here."

"I believe it," Jake replied.

"All of you go home," Tricia told them.

"Tricia--" Cassie started.

"We'll talk about it in the morning with the others," Tricia told them. "I just want to be alone. I'll be fine. If I need help, I'll just scream. At least I know that works to get all of you over here."

"So not funny," Nate told her.

"No, it's not," Cami agreed.

Tricia waved bye sarcastically. "Good night."

Jake, Nate, Cami and Cassie hesitantly agreed to Tricia's request, before walking out. Tricia sighed heavily.

Armstrong House - Foyer

Jake and Nate walked in.

"So now that we're all telling the truth..." Jake trailed off. "You tell me exactly what happened, what really happened, with Nick."

Nate sighed. "There was a demon. It got into Nick, and we think that he tried to drown it himself. Tricia and I tried to bring him back with a spell, that clearly didn't work."

"Clearly," Jake agreed. Nate sighed, turning away. Jake knew what the problem was. "You're worried, about Tricia?"

"Yeah," Nate answered. "Two years ago, when she lost her aunt and you took off, that was enough to start episodes and put her in a psyche ward. She almost killed herself because of the medications they put her on making it worse." Jake closed his eyes, looking down, regretful and shamed. "And now..."

"With Nick gone, me showing back up, and whoever just tried to kill her tonight, you think Tricia's gonna have an episode or try to hurt herself again?" Jake asked.

"I don't know," Nate admitted. "But maybe. I just gotta keep an eye on her."

Jake sighed deeply. "We."

Nate looked at him, not very surprised, but both brothers still mostly numb given the circumstances.

Day Two

Morning - On the Road

(Song:) Go Outside - Cults

Adam was driving. Diana was in the passenger seat. Fiona, Max and Harper were in the backseat.

"So Cassie, Cami, Tricia and Nate have no idea who the woman was?" Fiona asked.

"No, and now she's just out there somewhere," Diana answered.

"It's gonna be okay," Adam told them.

"Is it?" Harper asked. "I don't know."

Max sighed heavily. "Great. We just gotta make sure Tricia's okay. I know that Cassie, Cami, Nate and Jake saved her last night, but that's not the only thing I was talking about."

Fiona nodded in agreement. "The Jake and Nick of it all, for Tricia and Nate."

"Yeah," Max agreed.

They all sighed sadly.

(Song Ends)

Hartley/Blake/Armstrong Street

Tricia, Nate, Jake, Cassie and Cami were talking with Eli, Elijah and Eliot. Adam, Diana, Fiona, Max and Harper pulled over, walking over to them.

"Hey," Eli told them. "You okay?"

Eliot noticed Tricia's arm. "My God, Tricia. You didn't tell us she hurt you."

"Jake, Cassie, Cami and Nate heard me scream and stopped her before she could do much worse," Tricia explained.

"We did a spell together to send her away," Cassie added.

Elijah looked at Jake in surprise. "So you know you're a witch."

"Why didn't you say anything?" Fiona asked.

"No reason to," Jake told them. "I have no plans to stick around Chance Harbor."

"Still should have told me, at least," Nate told him.

"We don't know where the girl went," Cami told them.

"The knife the woman used, it had a crescent moon on it," Tricia explained.

"So she must be the one who burned the symbol in front of the house," Diana told them.

Cassie nodded. "Our grandmother said it's a way to mark a witch before an attack. She marked Nate and Jake's house, too."

"She could be a witch from another circle," Jake told them.

"Maybe she followed you into town from wherever you came from," Eli told him.

"I guess it's possible, but I've never seen her before," Jake told them.

Max reached out to Tricia. "Well, I'm just glad you're okay."

Fiona nodded. "Same. Don't want anything to happen to you, Tricia."

"Me too," Elijah agreed. "Do you need any help with the spells?"

"What spells?" Jake asked.

"Eli and Elijah are the ones I told you about, that help Tricia's disorder with spells so it doesn't control her," Nate explained.

"Yeah," Cami agreed.

"And no thanks, but I'm fine," Tricia told them.

"Tricia..." Eliot trailed off.

Tricia sighed, turning away. "Guys, back off."

The others exchanged a look, knowing not to push Tricia right now.

"Okay," Harper agreed. "We should get going. Have a long night ahead of us."

"Right," Adam agreed. "The wake. Let's go."

Diana looked at Tricia. "I'm glad you're okay, too."

The Westons, Harper, Adam, Fiona, Diana and Max walked away to go their own ways.

Cassie looked at Jake, Nate, Tricia and Cami. "Sorry about that."

"I need to take care of things for the funeral," Nate told them. "I'll see you guys later."

"Do you need help?" Cami asked.

Nate sighed, nodding. "Yeah, I'd like that."

Nate and Cami walked away.

Cassie walked toward the Blake House.

Jake and Tricia exchanged a look. Tricia walked away to her own house. Jake sighed, walking toward his car.

Armstrong House - Outside

Melissa walked up to the house, knocking on the front door. When no one answered, Melissa used a key to unlock the door, going inside.

Nick's Room

Melissa walked into the room, looking around. She picked up one of Nick's shirts, holding it to her chest, looking around, walking to the radio to turn on some music.

(Song:) Cruel and Beautiful World - Grouplove

Melissa started to cry, walking toward the bed, laying down, holding Nick's shirt close, sobbing.

Witch House

The rest of the circle, minus Melissa, was gathered. Nate and Cami walked upstairs to join them after finishing with funeral stuff.

"Okay, we need Jake to stay in town, and I don't know how to convince him," Nate told them.

"He has a life somewhere else," Adam told them. "Just let him leave."

"Tricia might be dead if it wasn't for Jake's spell, if he hadn't gone with Nate, Cami and Cassie to save her," Eliot pointed out. "Adam, Harper, you have to get over this thing you two have about him."

"It's not a thing," Harper told them. "Jake took advantage of Ethan. Adam's father and the guy that raised me. He made a fool out of him."

"That's his specialty, making fools out of people, right, Tricia?" Faye asked.

"Shut up, Faye," Fiona told her.

"So now you're against this, Faye?" Eli asked.

"So I'm not allowed to change my mind, but the rest of you are?" Faye asked.

"Okay, we need to put aside all our issues," Max told them. "We've been marked, and there's a psycho coming after all of us. We need all our power."

"And you guys, Nate just lost one brother," Elijah added. "You really want to send his other one away?"

Nate looked down.

"If we can't trust Jake, then I think we're stronger without him," Adam told them. "You know, Nick wasn't perfect, but we knew he had our backs, and it still wasn't enough. Sorry, Nate."

Adam walked away.

"Tricia, you and Jake still seem to have a connection," Diana told her. "Do you and Nate think we can really trust him?"

"He's my brother," Nate replied. "The only one I got left. One of the only two family I have left, and my aunt's never here, so..."

Tricia sighed, sitting down. "If we let him leave, we'll never know. And I can't talk about this right now."

Tricia walked downstairs to leave the witch house without looking back. The others exchanged a worried look.

"Tricia, wait," Eliot told her.

"Let her go," Fiona told him. "Tricia just needs a moment alone, Eliot."

"Not smart to push her right now," Eli agreed.

"Not smart to push her ever," Elijah corrected.

Harper sighed. "I'm sorry, Nate. About all this. Nick, Jake, Tricia."

Nate didn't answer, just looking at them numbly, before walking downstairs to leave as well.

Cami sighed worriedly. "What do we do after today? How can we help Tricia, Nate or Melissa if they don't want us to help them?"

Max shook his head sadly. "We can't."

Cassie frowned. "Great."

Blake House - Living Room

Cassie and Cami were explaining to Jane about what had happened.

"She moved so fast," Cassie told her. "Jake, Nate, Cami and I barely got there in time to save Tricia."

"We have to assume she'll be back," Jane told them. She walked to get a box, carrying it toward them, sitting down, opening it, taking out the Blake family crystal. "My mom gave this to me. And if Amelia were here, she'd pass it onto you two."

Cami took the crystal curiously. "This is what you used on Melissa."

Jane nodded. "Think of it as a lens that magnifies your power. Circle magic is complicated. It involves other personalities, other attitudes. The crystal is simpler. It's a reflection of you."

"I don't think we're the people that you think we are," Cassie admitted. "We can't even keep the circle together."

Jane took both their hands. "I know exactly who both of you are." They managed small smiles. Jane stood, turning to leave, but turned back. "No one can know you have the crystal. Not even the rest of your circle. It's the most coveted magic there is, but it can bring out the very worst in people. Okay?"

Cami and Cassie nodded in understanding.

Night - Motel

Jake walked up to a motel room door, knocking. Simone opened the door a crack to see who it was.

"Simone," Jake greeted.

Simone undid the chain lock on the door, opening it completely. "Hey, Jake."Jake pushed his way inside. Simone closed the door. "Figured you'd find me."

Simone poured herself a drink.

Jake turned to face her angrily, shoving her against the wall, gripping her throat, making her drop the glass that shattered. "Why did you follow me to Chance Harbor, and what the hell were you doing marking my and Nate's house?"

"There's one answer to both your questions," Simone told him. "Because you're a witch, and I don't trust witches."

Jake let her go. "You hate my kind, I know.  Well, I hate yours, the true believer, so blinded by hate and sure of their righteousness that they're frothing at the mouth to kill." He started to look through her stuff, turning to face her. "Give me the blood you took from Tricia Hartley."

Simone shrugged. "Why? Trying to save her? You already tried to make a deal with Isaac to leave your brother Nate alive. I think you're a little maxed out on putting witches out of bounds." Jake ignored her, continuing to look. Simone walked closer. "Get away from there."

Jake pushed Simone onto her bed. "You don't want to test me, Simone."

Jake found the vial of Tricia's blood, putting it in his pocket, walking to the door.

Simone turned to glare at him. "You just made a big mistake."

Jake turned to glare at her. "Stay the hell out of my way."

Jake left the room, closing the door behind him, leaving Simone furious.

Boathouse

(Song:) The Greatest Light is the Greatest Shade - The Joy Formidable

After Nick's funeral, everyone was at the Boathouse for the wake.

Tricia walked in, wearing a usual black leather jacket over her black dress, walking up to the registration desk slowly, picking up the pen, going to write her name, when she saw a picture of Nick on the table. In the picture, Nick was leaning against a cement wall, in the shade. Tricia got hit by a pang of pain, as if she had been the one to take that picture. She looked away after a second of remembering that day, walking away so she didn't have to feel the way she did, running into Faye along the way. "Faye?"

Faye held a small tube in her hands. "Hey. Do you want a drop? It's Nick's special witches brew. You were there the first time he showed us, remember?"

Tricia nodded. "Not now."

"Oh, come on," Faye told her. "The first time, you were begging for the drops. I mean, you were always the one that knew him the best, besides Nate, and you know this is the absolute best way to remember Nick by. Then again, you were all of the Armstrong types."

Tricia tilted her head at Faye. "I was never together with Nick or Nate."

"But you were with Jake," Faye replied. "Poor Nate. And looks like you could use this to take the edge off." Melissa and Fiona walked by. "Melissa, Fiona, we're just toasting Nick. Do you want a drop?"

Melissa sighed. "God, Faye."

"No, thanks," Fiona answered, giving Faye a look.

Melissa and Fiona walked away. Faye emptied the rest of the tube into Tricia's mouth. Tricia tilted her head back, sighing deeply.

Fiona walked up to the bar to get some food and drink.

Max walked up next to her. "Stress drinking and eating, huh?"

"Yeah," Fiona answered. "I wasn't ever close with Nick. Hardly anyone was, besides Nate, Tricia and Melissa. Still, this... it just..."

"It hurts," Max finished. "Because even though Nick was only close with Nate, Tricia and Melissa, he was still one of us."

"Yeah," Fiona agreed sadly. "I know I don't act like I care about anything, besides you, Max. But seeing Tricia break down that night, and seeing Nate like that, and knowing how Melissa is... I'm really worried, about all of them. Them, and Eli, Eliot and Elijah, and Harper, since they all feel guilty for what happened to Nick. While you, me, Diana, Faye, Adam, Cassie, Cami and I are stuck worrying about them."

"Yeah," Max agreed. "Look, I think that Tricia, Nate and Melissa will let us help them when they're ready. And I know that Eli, Elijah, Eliot and Harper are gonna be okay, sooner rather than later. And Diana and Adam are having issues because of Cassie, and Faye's worried about Melissa, and Cami's worried about Tricia and Nate. But I think all of us are gonna be okay soon."

"Really?" Fiona asked. "Or is that just what you want to think?" Max didn't answer. "I don't like feeling like this."

"Caring or feeling is not a bad thing, Fiona," Max told her.

"This kind of feeling does not feel good," Fiona told him.

Max nodded sadly in agreement. "I know it doesn't."

"I just... wish that we could stop feeling this way," Fiona admitted.

"Me too," Max mused. "But I don't know how. I don't think any of us know how."

Fiona and Max held hands, looking at each other sadly, embracing.

Elsewhere, standing with Diana and Eliot, Adam and Harper noticed that Ethan was drinking.

"Want help?" Eliot asked.

"No," Harper answered. "Adam, let's talk to him."

Adam and Harper walked up to Ethan.

"Take it easy, Dad," Adam told him.

"This town just can't stop burying teenagers," Ethan told them. "How can it still hurt this much? It was so long ago."

"We know," Harper agreed sadly. "It hurts us too, Ethan."

Ethan took a deep breath. "That wake was at the school gym. Amelia wasn't there. I tried to look for her, but she never showed up. After everything that happened, she was still too distraught over Blackwell to go to the funeral."

"Who's Blackwell?" Adam asked.

Ethan looked at Adam and Harper, sighing. "Don't listen to me."

"But you need to slow down, okay?" Harper asked. "We are kind of the hosts here."

Ethan nodded. "Yeah, you got it."

(Song Ends)

Adam saw that Jake and Nate were standing in the middle of the Boathouse for the wake, walking up to them.

"Adam, don't," Harper told him.

"Jake, what are you up to?" Adam asked. "I know it's something. No one changes that much in two years."

"Adam, stop it," Nate warned. "Harper, help."

"Forget it, Nate," Jake told him. "Adam's not gonna listen to Harper, because he's probably loaded. Runs in the family."

Adam furiously tried to punch Jake in the face. Jake ducked, punching Adam in the face. They struggled with each other, as Adam slammed Jake into a table. Jake pushed Adam to the floor.

Elijah broke up the fight, keeping Adam and Jake away from each other. "Stop this!" Diana and Harper ran closer to keep Adam back, while Elijah and Nate kept Jake back. "Stop! Now is not the time or place. This is Nick's wake, for the love of God."

Diana turned to Adam. "What the hell is wrong with you?"

Adam pointed at Jake angrily. "Did you hear what he said about my dad and Harper? Huh?"

Nate shook his head, scoffing. "I can't take this right now."

Nate walked away.

"Nate, wait," Jake told him.

"Just leave me alone," Nate told him, walking away.

Cami went after Nate. "Okay, that was bad. I'm sorry."

They bumped into Charles on the way to the door.

Charles saw Nate. "Nate. I'm so sorry about your brother. He didn't deserve what happened."

Nate just wanted to get out of there. "Thanks."

"If you need anything, you come to me, okay, Nick?" Charles asked.

"It's Nate," Nate corrected.

Charles nodded, looking guilt ridden again. "I'm sorry." Charles walked away. Nate walked outside. Cami sighed worriedly, giving him a moment alone, but she had to go outside for some air as well. Charles walked over to a shrine for Nick, speaking to an older lady. "You ever think that no matter what we do, or how we try to control our lives, that it's just out of our hands?" Dawn overheard Charles from a nearby table, standing, walking closer. "History just keeps repeating."

Dawn started to lead him away. "Come on, Charles. I saved you a place at our table."

Dock

Harper was sitting alone on the edge of the dock, drinking, looking guilty. Eliot walked closer, sitting down next to Harper.

Harper knew it was him without looking up. "Hey."

"Drowning the sorrows, huh?" Eliot asked.

Harper shrugged. "Grieving process."

"Can I join?" Eliot asked.

"Would be insulted if you didn't," Harper answered, handing him the bottle.

Eliot grabbed the bottle, taking a big sip. "Oh, that's better. What are you doing all the way out here?"

"Adam started a fight with Jake, and Elijah, Diana, Cami, Nate and I had to break it up," Harper explained. "After that, Nate took off and Cami went after him. Eli's been MIA, and so have Faye and Tricia. Max and Fiona are minding their own business for once and trying to help Melissa give Nick the wake he deserves."

"Harper..." Eliot trailed off.

"You were wrong, you know," Harper told him.

"What?" Eliot asked.

"You said that I was wrong, that I brought something to the circle, when my drawings saved Cassie, Cami, Tricia, Faye and Fiona," Harper explained. "Well, guess what? Nick is dead, and I should have stopped it, but couldn't because of my useless powers were giving me demon and suitcases visions."

"Harper, we were all there," Eliot told him. "It's not your fault."

"You guys are not the ones with the power to see the future, are you?" Harper asked. "No, that's me."

Eliot took his hand. "Hey, no one is blaming you for this, okay? Not Nate, Adam, Tricia, no one. And no one's blaming Cami, Cassie, Faye, Fiona and Tricia for accidentally releasing the demon in the first place, or for Melissa and Nick getting possessed. I know we like to talk that we understand everything, but we don't, okay? Not even me, Eli, Elijah, Diana and Max. We're all kids. We don't know how to use all these powers. But we we'll someday. Okay?"

Harper sighed. "Whatever you say, Eliot. You know, when I was younger, an older kid was bullying me, and I didn't want to tell Ethan or Adam because I was ashamed. But Nick found me one day with a black eye, and asked me what happened, and I told him. I don't know why, but I did. I was afraid he was gonna tell Ethan and Adam, but he didn't. He beat the crap out of my bully and threatened him to never come after me, and he told me that if he ever came back to bother me, he was gonna be there to stop him."

Harper accidentally let a few tears fall.

Eliot nodded. "Sounds like Nick."

Harper managed a small smile. "He might have been a dick sometimes, but he was one of the best friends anyone could ask for."

"Definitely," Eliot agreed.

Harper pulled himself together, getting determined. "I'm gonna get control of my powers. I swear. Not just drawings, but everything. I'm gonna control it."

Eliot nodded in agreement. "And I'll help you control everything. Together, okay?"

Harper looked around. "I don't wanna do this again. I don't wanna have to plan another wake or wear stupid black clothes anymore. I'm tired of it. I'm scared that someone else is gonna go, and I won't be able to help stop it."

Eliot put a hand to his face, making Harper look at him. "Seriously, hey, don't think like that. I know life sucks, a lot, but if it helps, I promise you, I'll be here for you. Always. I'm not going anywhere."

"Eliot--" Harper started.

"Hey," Eliot interceded. "I'm Eliot freaking Weston. Risk taker and rule breaker. If I tell you, Harper Stone, I'm not going anywhere, I'm not going anywhere, bookworm."

Harper managed a small laugh at that. "You better not, psycho."

They looked at each other, managing small smiles.

Waterfront

Eli stood on the sand of the waterfront, looking over the ocean waves and the moon, drinking from a bottle.

Faye walked over, balancing on the dock, noticing Eli on the sand below, smiling, hopping down next to him. "Hey, Eli. I see me and Tricia are not the only ones going on stress benders. We took some of Nick's special brew."

"Seriously, Faye?" Eli asked.

"Hey, you're the one here drinking from a bottle of bourbon," Faye replied.

"I'm not drunk," Eli told her.

"And I'm not high," Faye retorted. "Just took enough to take the edge off, which I'm guessing is what you did with the drinking."

"Yeah, I guess," Eli answered.

"What are you doing all the way out here?" Faye asked. "The wake's inside."

"Just got too crowded for my tastes," Eli answered.

"That, and you got your guilt face on," Faye told him. "Why?"

Eli sighed, sitting down on a bench. "Maybe because I couldn't help save Nick, and I can't help Nate, Tricia and Melissa unless they want to let us help them."

Faye frowned, walking closer. "You've always been one to take care of us, Eli. And you felt guilty each time something went wrong, so I should've known that this time wouldn't be different, but worse. But why do you feel so guilty? Why do you think everything's your responsibility?"

Eli sighed, deciding to come clean. "Being the oldest of me, Elijah and Eliot, I was made to be the head of our family, even before we were told that we were witches. I had to make important decisions ever since I was young. I never had the chance of being a kid, but I still loved my family. And we don't know what really happened to our circle or our family, but I always felt like it was my fault since we hadn't known anything about witchcraft back then, and it was my duty to protect them and lead them. And I promised before that I wouldn't let what happened to our old circle and family happen to your circle, but Nick ended up dead anyway, and now Tricia, Nate and Melissa could spiral."

"You feel guilty," Faye concluded. "You blame yourself."

Eli sighed, taking a drink. "Yeah."

Faye nodded in understanding, but wanted to diffuse the tension and make him feel better. "Well, you might not have gotten the chance to be a kid before, but I can hopefully teach you how to loosen up from the soldier like guy that your family molded you into even way before you, Eliot and Elijah found out you were witches."

"Faye..." Eli trailed off.

Faye nodded in amusement. "I'm serious. If I had more of Nick's brew, I would give you some, but I gave the rest to Tricia, so..." Eli snorted slightly, as the two smiled slightly. "I don't know, we'll do something wild, crazy and fun, other than hooking up a few times."

"Don't know about going that far," Eli admitted. "But thanks, Faye."

Faye nodded, smiling. Eli and Faye looked from each other to the ocean and the moon and stars above, sharing Eli's bottle of bourbon.

Boathouse - Outside

Cami and Nate were sitting at a table.

Cami started to start the conversation small to make it easier. "People really hate Jake, don't they?"

"Jake's done a lot of wrong to deserve that," Nate answered. "He doesn't mind, and I don't care."

"Maybe not," Cami agreed. "I just want to check in on the things that you do care about. I know it's going to take a while to be okay, Nate. I just... I wish you wouldn't push everyone away so that we can help."

"Not a lot that anyone can do to help," Nate replied. "But I'm sorry, if I've been a dick. I wasn't trying to be. And I wasn't trying to push you away, Cami."

Cami nodded. "I know."

Nate sighed, tilting his head back, thinking. "You know, Jake ran away, just like your mom did."

"Yeah, he did," Cami agreed. "Cassie, Mom and I moved from town to town, and it seemed like everywhere we went, Mom was hiding from what happened back in this town. Do you think that that's what Jake was doing?"

"Maybe," Nate agreed. "But I can't help think that maybe Amelia found peace when she left with you and Cassie, maybe Jake did too. Because he obviously found something, because even underneath all that attitude, I can see clearly that he's changed, completely. He's not the brother that Nick and I knew anymore. When I told him about what happened with Tricia two years ago, he was worried. He looked guilty and like he hated himself for what he did that helped lend a hand to Tricia's spiral and the start of her episodes back then."

"And you, Cassie and I all saw the way that Jake was trying to take care of Tricia after the attack last night," Cami pointed out. "Looks like he still likes her, and she's pretty effected by his return even though she doesn't admit it."

"Yep," Nate agreed. "I wonder what would happen if we left."

"You mean, if we left town, and maybe got to find peace like you hope that my mom and Jake did?" Cami asked.

"I don't think peace is in the cards for us, not for a long time," Nate told her.

"Well, we can't give up looking for peace, either, Nate," Cami told him. "I just hope that someday soon, everything will be okay again."

Nate sighed. "Yeah. Me too. Keep that optimism, Cami. We're gonna need it."

Cami nodded sadly, taking Nate's hand comfortingly. They looked at each other for a long moment, before Nate looked away.

Cami looked at the Boathouse. "All right, well, it should be safe to go back inside now."

"I'm gonna hang here a while," Nate told her.

Cami nodded in understanding, standing, letting go of his hand slowly, before starting to walk away. Nate watched her go, sighing.

Jake walked outside, seeing Nate, but knowing that he wanted space, sighing, knowing he screwed up that night by provoking a fight with Adam that Adam started.

Simone was standing below, hiding behind some stairs, watching Jake and Nate.

Boathouse - Backroom

Ethan was drunk, lounging on a couch, hearing a knock on the door. "Yeah?"

Diana walked in. "Mr. Conant?"

"Oh, come on in," Ethan told her.

Diana walked down the steps toward him with a cup of coffee. "You disappeared. Saw the light on, so I just thought..."

Ethan sat up. "An old drunk like me could use some coffee."

Diana handed the coffee to Ethan. "I put milk in it the way you like it."

"Thanks," Ethan told her. "Poor Nick. And Nate and Tricia. Maybe if they had people like you to pick them up when they were down, not just as family or best friends, but..."

"Nick did, actually," Diana told him. "Melissa. And I think Nate and Cami are..." Ethan chuckled knowingly, nodding. "Tricia was with Jake, but that ended badly. And even if Tricia doesn't have a love like that anymore, she has us. Eli and Elijah help her a lot with her issues, so..."

Ethan nodded in understanding. "You love Adam, don't you?"

"Yes," Diana answered.

"He is so damn lucky to have you," Ethan told her.

"We're lucky to have each other," Diana told him, turning away.

"I wish you were the one, Diana," Ethan told her. "You deserve to be happy."

Diana turned to look at him in confusion. "What?"

"It's Adam's destiny to be with a Blake," Ethan told her. "Like you said, Nate and Cami are drawn to each other and have been since they arrived. You know that Adam's been drawn to Cassie since they got here, too. The Conants and the Blakes are written in the stars. Adam and Cassie. Me and Amelia."

Diana looked heartbroken. "I should go."

"The sooner you let him go, the sooner you can be free," Ethan told her. "Trust me. Bad things happen when you mess with fate."

Diana, near tears, left the room in a hurry.

Dock

On the dock by the ocean and the rocks far below, Tricia was standing alone in the wind, taking a deep breath, closing her eyes, looking very high and wasted due to Faye giving her the rest of Nick's witches brew. She was so depressed and full of regret, guilt and self-loathing that she started to cry in despair and devastation and anger. She got an idea, taking off her high heels, stepping onto the wooden railing, standing up high, looking down at the rocks below with the wind blowing through her hair.

Elsewhere

At the far back edge of the dock, close to the Boathouse, Elijah was standing on the dock, pacing, sighing.

Melissa walked onto the dock, having to breathe in deep to calm herself down.

Elijah heard her approach, turning around. "Melissa?"

Melissa was startled to see him. "Elijah? What are you doing out here?"

"Needed some air after having to help Cami, Nate, Diana and Harper break up the fight between Adam and Jake," Elijah answered.

"Right," Melissa agreed. "I saw that. Thank you for that, by the way. Stopping Adam and Jake. I can't believe they disrespected Nick like that. And I felt so bad when Nate took off. I'm just glad that Cami went after him."

"Yeah, me too," Elijah agreed. "We just want to make sure that you, Nate and Tricia are all okay."

"I'm pretty far from okay, Elijah," Melissa told him. "And I know that Tricia and Nate are too."

Elijah nodded in agreement. "I know. I am so sorry, Melissa."

Melissa nodded, tears in her eyes. "Tonight's been a disaster. I mean, first Faye brings Nick's witches brew and gets Tricia wasted on it, and she's been MIA ever since, just like Eli's been MIA, and then Adam and Jake pick a fight, and Nate, Cami, Diana and Harper had to stop them, and then Nate took off because he couldn't handle the disrespect to Nick. And ever since, Harper and Eliot's been MIA, too. I don't know about Fiona and Max, but... This was supposed to be a wake for Nick. And I loved him."

"I know," Elijah agreed. "He loved you too. Nick didn't care about a lot, but it was obvious his last night... that he was completely in love with you."

Melissa was even more emotional from hearing that, nodding, crying. "Thank you. For saying that."

"It's the truth," Elijah told her.

Melissa cried, nodding. Elijah looked at his friend worriedly in concern and sympathy, as Melissa let him bring her into a comforting embrace, returning the hug. After a moment, they pulled away.

Melissa sniffled, wiping her eyes. "Thanks." Elijah nodded. Melissa looked behind Elijah, seeing something in the distance on the dock, looking worried and exasperated. "Oh, my God, Elijah. Tricia!" Melissa ran past Elijah. Elijah turned to follow her gaze, seeing what she saw, running after her. Tricia was standing barefoot on the wooden railing. Melissa and Elijah ran up to her. "What are you doing? Are you crazy?"

"Maybe just a little," Tricia answered, turning away from them.

"Stop it, Tricia," Elijah told her.

"Why?" Tricia asked. "No one else ever does. Not Jake, not Nick, not Nate, not you, Elijah, not Eli, not Eliot, or Melissa, or Faye, or Fiona, or Max, or Diana, or Adam, or Harper, or Cassie, or Cami."

"Is that what this is about?" Elijah asked. "Jake?"

Tricia scoffed. "That's not the only thing I mentioned, Elijah."

"But it's the first," Melissa told her. "Nick told me about what happened to you before, and how Jake took off the night your aunt died, and it put you in a psyche ward and started the episodes. Okay? you need to stay away from him."

"I wasn't in a psyche ward because of Jake," Tricia told them. "It's called having no family, no parents, only a couple friends, and many, many anger and depression and bipolar issues. Nick wouldn't have gotten possessed or killed if it hadn't been for Cassie, Cami, Fiona, Faye and I setting the demon in Heather Barnes free, making her come after us. So technically, Nick dying was my fault."

Elijah shook his head worriedly. "No, Tricia..."

"If I hadn't even been told I was a witch, if I hadn't been alive in the first place, none of this would've happened," Tricia told them. "Maybe I do belong in a psyche ward. It'd be a lot easier for all of you if I just took myself out of the equation. That's what the universe wants me to do, right? Because that chick last night came to take me out anyway, so why not make it easier?"

"No, no, no," Elijah told her. "Don't think that."

"Oh, my God," Melissa said in concern. "Tricia, it's not your fault. Okay, just please come down. Nick wouldn't want you to feel guilty about this. He'd try to stop you from jumping, and so would Nate. They'd say that they would want you to live."

Tricia sniffled. "Liar. Nick would say get my ass down before he kicked my ass, because I was being stupid. So would Nate."

Elijah chuckled a surprised chuckle. "Yeah. Yeah, they would. So get down. If you won't listen to us, listen to Nick and Nate."

Tricia hesitated for a moment, turning to look at them. She looked toward the Boathouse, where Nate was sitting outside, but his back was to them, and he was too far away, so he didn't see or hear what was going on. She hesitantly sat down on the wooden railing. Melissa and Elijah took both her hands to pull her off the railing.

Tricia sniffed, looking down. "He's gone. I don't know what to feel."

"He was your best friend, Tricia," Melissa told her. "You let yourself grieve."

Tricia looked up. "But what if I don't wanna feel?"

"You have to feel sometime," Melissa told her.

Elijah nodded in agreement.

Melissa wrapped Tricia in an embrace. Tricia was surprised, but she returned the embrace slowly.

Elijah sighed. "Come on. Let's get you guys home."

Tricia pulled away from Melissa, wiping her tears away. "You guys go ahead. I need a moment. And please don't tell Nate about this. Or Cami, because she'll tell Nate. I just... I need to think."

Elijah and Melissa looked at her sadly, not wanting to leave her alone after what just happened, but knowing that they didn't have much of a choice because Tricia was too stubborn to let them stop her from being alone like she wanted.

Boathouse

(Song:) Say What You Want - The Very Much

Adam was sitting at the bar, putting an ice pack on his face.

Cassie walked closer. "You deserve that."

Adam scoffed. "Probably."

"What you did to Jake, Nate and Melissa for Nick's wake, it's not right," Cassie told him. "You're lucky Tricia wasn't here to see that."

"Yeah," Adam agreed. "Harper took off after the fight, so pretty sure I pissed even Harper off, even though he has his issues with Jake too. I'm just sorry about what happened because of Nate, Nick, Melissa and Tricia. I just don't trust Jake."

"Adam," Cassie chided.

Adam sighed, looking down. "Everything's just so screwed up right now."

"We're all hurting, Adam," Cassie told him. "Melissa, Tricia and Nate especially. Max, Faye, Fiona and Cami are hurting to see them in so much pain. Eli, Elijah, Eliot and Harper are overcome with guilt."

"Maybe it's easier for you because you don't know anybody, not really," Adam told her. "It's not like you put up much of an effort to get to know us like Cami did."

"That is not fair," Cassie told him. "I may not have been here my whole life, but you guys are the closest thing I've ever had to real friends, especially Diana. None of this easy."

Adam nodded. "I'm sorry. You're right. We're in this together. I screwed up with Cami, Nate, Tricia and Melissa. You're right about that. Screwed up with Harper and Diana, too. Elijah got me to think clearly, but he, Eli and Eliot always felt like it was their job to take care of us, so they think that they failed. Harper thinks he's a failure as a psychic. I haven't been able to help him with seeing that he isn't because of all of this. Looks like Fiona, Faye and Max are the only ones out of us with a clear head." Diana was watching Adam and Cassie from across the Boathouse, before walking away. "I hope I'm wrong about Jake. I really do. I don't think I am."

Outside

Tricia was walking back to the Boathouse.

Nate and Cami walked closer.

"Tricia, hey," Cami told her. "Haven't seen you lately. Are you..."

"Uh, had a relapse of an episode, but Melissa and Elijah got through to me," Tricia answered. "I'm okay."

Nate nodded, looking past Tricia, seeing Jake walking away with Simone. "What the hell?"

Tricia and Cami turned to follow Nate's gaze. They all recognized Simone as the woman that attacked and nearly killed Tricia. They exchanged a look, before following Simone and Jake.

Drydocks

Simone was confronting Jake. "I knew that you made a deal with Isaac to keep Nate safe, and now it involves the Hartley girl? Last night, I saw you with Tricia. You were closer to kissing her than killing her. You're never gonna be able to complete the mission."

"I told you to stay out of my way," Jake told her angrily.

"I'm not done here," Simone told him.

Jake turned to her, in her face threateningly. "I am."

Jake turned to walk away. Simone spun around to kick Jake in the back, making him fall to the ground, drawing a knife.

Cami, Nate and Tricia made their way through the shadows, seeing Simone standing over Jake with the knife.

Nate stepped out of the shadows, using magic to throw the knife out of Simone's hand to the ground.

Cami magically pushed Simone off of Jake to the ground.

Jake turned to look at Nate, Cami and Tricia in surprise.

Simone stood, trying to attack.

Tricia punched Simone hard in the face, making her fall again and spit up blood.

Jake lunged for the knife, grabbing it, tackling Simone down as she tried to attack again, stabbing her in the chest to kill her in self-defense. He turned to look at Cami, Nate and Tricia, looking worried about what they could have overheard or seen, while Cami, Nate and Tricia looked stunned and confused.

Cami could only say one  thing. "Oh, my God."

Hartley House - Outside

Tricia was sitting on her porch again, looking down, now sober and degrading herself for the way that she was acting on the witchy brew induced episode on the dock, scoffing at herself, shaking her head.

Cami walked over to Tricia, sitting next to her. "Hey. You okay?"

"I guess," Tricia answered.

"You wanna talk about what happened earlier?" Cami asked.

"The episode Elijah and Melissa stopped while I was on Nick's brew, or the fact that the girl who tried to kill me, tried to kill Jake, who Nate, you and I helped him kill?" Tricia asked.

Cami shrugged. "Both."

Tricia sighed. "I don't wanna talk about either, but we have to talk about one, Cami."

Nate and Jake walked over to them, sitting on the porch as well.

"So she was a witch?" Nate asked.

Jake nodded. "Pretty nasty one."

Tricia raised her eyebrows, a little skeptic. "Seemed like you two were talking."

"She said she was here to scavenge power," Jake told them. "She knew a witch had died. That's what scavengers come for."

Cami scoffed. "It's scary how much stuff is out there. How much we don't know."

"Nate, the way that the knife flew out of her hand, did you do that?" Jake asked. "And did Cami knock her down with her mind? Because I thought once a circle was bound, you can't do magic on your own."

"Yeah, but it was Nick, Diana, Cassie, Faye, Melissa and Adam that did the binding of the bloodlines, with Eli and Elijah's help," Nate explained. "Like you, Cami, Fiona, Max and I got to keep our solo powers, like Eli, Elijah and Eliot, but we can all do circle magic, too."

Jake nodded in understanding.

"Now you can't hold the fact that you saved my life over my head anymore, since we helped save yours," Tricia told him.

Jake chuckled. "Right. Like I would dream of doing that, Tricia."

"Jake, you can't leave Chance Harbor," Nate told him.

"I have to," Jake told them.

"No, you don't," Nate told him. "We are all bound together. And I know that's not something that you ever wanted. But it's not something that you can run from."

"If you knew what happened after I left, Nate, you wouldn't want me to stay," Jake told him. "Nobody else that knew me before does. Not even Tricia, right, Tric?"

Tricia shrugged, looking down. "Depends on if you're done being a dick or not."

Jake smirked.

"I don't think that we have a choice," Cami told him. "The bad is coming. They're here. It's what killed Nick and all our parents, and Tricia last night, and almost you tonight. Nate already lost one brother. Are you really gonna leave Nate and Tricia again after everything?" Jake sighed, looking down to hide any reaction. "We can't do this without you. We are not strong enough. And if we don't try, then Nick's death is gonna seem a lot more senseless than it already does."

"You guys got all the answers, huh?" Jake asked.

"No," Nate answered. "Not usually."

Jake chuckled. "Maybe I'll stick around a little while. There are still a few people around town that haven't tried to kick my ass."

They all managed to chuckle lightly.

Boathouse

Adam was cleaning up after everyone was gone.

Diana slowly walked in.

"Hey," Adam greeted. "What happened? You disappeared."

"I went for a walk," Diana answered.

Adam sighed. "I'm sorry for the way I acted."

"Your dad told me about you and Cassie being destined to be together," Diana explained.

"It's just an old story to make him feel better about being in love with Cassie and Cami's mom," Adam told her.

"That's what I want," Diana told him. "The kind of love that makes you want to believe in destiny."

Adam stepped closer. "That's what we have."

Diana shook her head. "No, because if we did, I wouldn't feel like I do right now."

"Diana, I love you," Adam told her. "You know that."

Diana looked heartbroken. "There's a way you look at Cassie that I could never understand, and I think I get it now. It's wonder, wondering if every time you find yourselves together, it's choice or destiny. You need to figure out which. "

Adam had tears in his eyes. "Diana, please, you're wrong."

Diana shook her head, nearly crying. "No. I've been standing on the sidelines, watching it since Cassie and Cami got here. I can't do that anymore."

Diana turned around, walking out.

Meade House - Max's Room

Max and Fiona were sitting on the bed.

"Thanks for bringing me here," Fiona told him. "I didn't want to go home just yet."

Max nodded in understanding. "I get it. I didn't want to be alone either."

There was a knock on the door before they could talk more.

Max stood, walking toward the door, opening it, revealing Diana outside. "Diana? What's wrong?"

"I broke up with Adam," Diana answered.

"What happened?" Max asked.

Diana walked in. "Oh, Fiona's here. Do you need me to..."

"It's fine," Fiona told her. "We weren't doing anything. Diana, you okay?"

"I think that's the first time you asked me that," Diana told her. "But glad to see a Chamberlain can have a caring side, Fiona."

"What happened with you and Adam?" Fiona asked.

"Cassie," Diana answered.

Fiona stood. "Uh, Diana... well, just tell us what to do."

Diana cried. "I honestly don't know. I came to talk to Max because as my brother, he always listens, and I don't know why I'm telling you this, since you're Faye's sister and neither of you were close to be before, Fiona, but you're acting different from Faye lately. And I guess because Adam was my best friend, and I have nowhere else to go, no one else who really knows me."

Max embraced Diana, as Diana cried in her brother's arms. Fiona looked at them sadly, thinking about what Max said, that it was okay to feel these things even if they didn't feel good, and thinking about what Diana said about her being different than Faye. Fiona sighed, lightly rubbing Diana's arm.

Drydocks

Two witches led Jake down a set of stairs toward an older man named Isaac.

Isaac crossed his arms. "You killed Simone. Why?"

"You mean aside from the fact that she tried to gut me with a blade?" Jake asked sarcastically.

Isaac stepped closer condescendingly. "Don't get smart with me, Jake. I will gut you myself. You killed a fellow witch hunter. Why?"

"My brother Nate, Tricia Hartley and Cami Blake saw her talking to me," Jake told him. "I lied and said she was a witch, but it could have been a disaster. You always taught me to follow protocol, and that's what I was doing."

"Maybe she was right," Isaac told him. "Maybe we made a mistake using a witch to kill witches, especially when his own bloodline is connected to the prey."

"We made a deal to keep Nate out of this, and extended that to Tricia," Jake told him. "I--I've never let you down before, and I won't start now."

Isaac walked closer, sighing. "Are you sure of that? 'Cause I hear Tricia Hartley is a compelling girl. One that you have history with since childhood. And with Nate involved with this..."

"I've come here to protect what little family I have left, and avenge the death of Nick and our parents," Jake told him. "And I will not fail."

Isaac managed a small smile, nodding, while Jake glared at him.
