chapter 10 - Keep Your Friends Close
Outfits in the external link
From 1.01 "Pilot", in the bathroom, Ezra and Aria were making out.
Lucy: (voice over) "Previously on Worlds Colliding (Pretty Little Liars)"
From 1.01 "Pilot", in flashback outside the Hastings House, Spencer and Peyton were arguing about Spencer kissing Ian and not telling Melissa.
"It was one kiss," Spencer told her. Peyton scoffed, turning away. Spencer grabbed her arm, turning her to face her. "Now you listen to me, Peyton."
"Or what?" Peyton asked.
From 1.08 "Please, Do Talk About Me When I'm Gone", in the school multipurpose room, the girls saw Ian at the back of the room.
"Ian?" Peyton asked.
"Wait," Lucy told them. "Melissa's Ian?"
From 1.02 "The Jenna Thing", in the photobooth, Emily and Maya were taking pictures, kissing.
Emily noticed the pictures were missing. "Where are the pictures?"
From 1.05 "Reality Bites Me", in the kitchen of the Marin House, Mara received the pictures through email from A, seeing that Emily and Maya were kissing.
From 1.09 "The Perfect Storm", in flashback to the school library, Lucy and Pen were sitting together.
Lucy sighed, looking down, blushing. "I'm not gay. I'm just..."
"I get it," Pen told her. "You're bi-curious. It's not anything to be ashamed of."
From 1.09 "The Perfect Storm", in the music room, Madison and Noel finished the song together, finally leaning closer to kiss slowly and softly. They pulled away, looking at each other, smiling a little, kissing again.
From 1.09 "The Perfect Storm", in the storage closet and the school during the power outage, Mara and Ezra were talking.
"I wanted to see if there's an actual stand in teacher job in this school," Mara told him. "I kinda just wanna be around here for the girls, you know. They're all going through a rough time."
"They're troubled girls, yeah," Ezra told her. "They're all very strong. You want to be the cool older sister figure that is always there to listen, whether it's at home or at school. It's very admirable, Mara. You know, the girls are really lucky to have you in their lives."
From 1.06 "There's No Place Like Homecoming", in the school lab, Dakota and Toby were talking.
"I'm trying to find a way to tell you about what happened last summer," Toby told her.
From 1.06 "There's No Place Like Homecoming", in flashback, Toby and Alison were talking on the sidewalk.
Dakota: (voice over from 1.08 Please, Do Talk About Me When I'm Gone) "Toby called Alison the night she died?"
Alison walked away from Toby toward the girls.
Wilden: (voice over from 1.08 Please, Do Talk About Me When I'm Gone) "He did. Or somebody else did using his phone."
From 1.07 "The Homecoming Hangover", in the road, Mara drove past the Cavanaugh House to see the wrecked bike and to see Jenna crying on the porch.
Dakota: (voice over from 1.07 The Homecoming Hangover) "So is Toby dead?"
Mara looked confused and concerned.
Lucy: (voice over from 1.07 The Homecoming Hangover) "Mara didn't get the chance to ask."
From 1.07 "The Homecoming Hangover", in Dakota's room, all the girls were over to comfort Dakota after she had been rescued. They were reading the text that A sent to Dakota.
Emily read the text aloud. "'Thanks for getting Toby out of my way."
Peyton read the text aloud. "'And you're welcome for the tip I sent the cops to save your life.'"
Dakota read the text aloud. "'If anyone's gonna get rid of you, it's me.'"
All of the girls finished together. "A."

Day One
Afternoon - Rosewood High School - Hallway
(Song:) Lover Take Me - Edie Brickell & New Bohemians
Hanna, Dakota, Spencer, Emily and Aria were standing at Hanna's locker.
Hanna was looking into the mirror, turning her head from side to side to look at her cheeks. "Okay. I need to ask you guys something. "She turned to face her friends. "And I really need you guys to be totally honest with me."
Emily and Aria spoke at the same time. "Of course."
"Yeah," Spencer agreed.
Dakota sighed. "Sure."
Hanna turned her head from side to side to show them both her cheeks. "Is this side of my face fatter than this side?"
The other girls all took a minute to look, answering at the same time. "No."
Hanna touched her cheeks, sighing.
Madison, Pen, Lucy and Peyton walked toward them, looking toward where Mara was talking with a few teachers.
"Hey, so it looks like Mara was being serious about starting a job here," Lucy told them.
Dakota looked at Lucy and Mara. "Are you guys cool with that? I mean, your sister working here?"
"Yeah, of course," Emily answered. "It means that we get to see Mara at school and at home. And Mara is the kind of sister that you want to see and talk to every chance you get."
The girls all smiled in agreement, looking down the hallway toward Mara. Mara saw them looking at her, smiling, waving. The girls smiled and waved back, going back to talking.
"Hey, you'll never guess who we just saw here in school," Madison told them.
Pen pointed down the hallway toward where Ian was shaking hands of male students. "Ian's here. He's been here all morning."
"Yeah, I hear he's the new field hockey coach," Peyton told them.
"Does Melissa know he's back?" Lucy asked.
"I don't know why she ever broke up with him," Madison told them.
"She didn't," Peyton answered. "He broke up with her."
Mona walked up to the girls. "Hey." She handed out invitations, decorative black and white envelopes with a yellow ribbon around it. "First one's for my bestie and her sister." She handed the rest out to the other girls. "And one for each of you. My bestie's other friends."
"Oh, uh, what is this?" Lucy asked.
"Oh, nothing," Mona told them. "Only an invitation to the most awesome birthday party ever. Camp Mona."
Mona smiled widely.
"Camp Mona?" Pen repeated.
They read the invitations.
glamp it up at camp mona.
IT'S MY BIRTHDAY!
saturday the 5th
"Don't let the camping part scare you," Mona told them. "It's glamping, not camping. M is for Mona and massages, not mosquitoes." She looked behind them. "Oh, hey, Naomi, Riley, wait up."
Mona walked around the girls toward the two girls behind them.
Hanna closed her locker.
The bell rang.
"Why is Mona inviting us to her birthday party?" Spencer asked.
"Well, she knows that we're friends again," Hanna told them. "She's just trying to reach out to you. She's trying to be nice. So, are you gonna go?"
Peyton sighed. "I know she's your friend, but..."
"Yeah, I'm gonna have to pass," Aria told them. "I got this--"
"I got a lot of stuff to do this week," Lucy told them.
"Me, too," Emily told them.
Dakota wasn't trying to make up excuses, just being brutally honest like always. "I just don't wanna go."
"Same here," Pen told them.
"Yep," Madison agreed.
(Song Ends)
All of their phones started to beep, buzz, ring and ding. They exchanged a look, knowing who it would be, taking out their phones to read the text from A.
Aria, Spencer and Peyton read aloud. "'Camp Mona's a scavenger hunt, and I'm the prize'."
Dakota, Hanna and Madison read aloud. "'Come and find me, bitches'."
Emily, Pen and Lucy finished together. "'A'."
The girls put their phones away, looking around.

(Song:) Secret - The Pierces
A closeup of Lucy's brown eyes showed her applying mascara to her lashes.
The Pierces: (voice over) "Got a secret."
Dakota applied lipgloss to her lips with a small brush.
The Pierces: (voice over) "Can you keep it?"
Spencer fastened her black high heel.
Peyton zipped up her dress.
The Pierces: (voice over) "Swear this one you'll save."
Hanna curled a piece of her blonde hair.
Madison painted her nails pink.
The Pierces: (voice over) "Better lock it."
Aria applied eyeshadow to her eye.
The Pierces: (voice over) "In your pocket."
Pen stood next to Alison's coffin, closing her eyes.
The Pierces: (voice over) "Taking this one."
Emily folded Alison's arms over her chest.
The Pierces: (voice over) "To the grave."
Mara, Lucy and Emily closed the coffin.
The Pierces: (voice over) "If I show you then I know you."
The girls were standing around Alison's coffin, all in black funeral dresses.
The Pierces: (voice over) "Won't tell what I said."
There was a closeup of Pen. She put a finger to her lips. "Shh."
The Pierces: (voice over) "'Cause two can keep a secret."
Pen disappeared.
A message appeared in the clouds that had been behind her.
Worlds Colliding (Pretty Little Liars)
The Pierces: (voice over) "If one of them is dead."

Day Two
Morning - McCoy House - Kitchen
Jean was pouring coffee, on the phone. "Talk to a representative." She was obviously hearing an automatic voice that couldn't understand what she was saying, so she repeated what she said, over-enunciating. "Talk to a representative." She groaned in annoyance, taking the phone away from her ear, still talking into the phone. "Screw you!"
Dakota walked in. "Is everything all right?"
Jean hung the phone up, putting it down. "Uh, yeah."
"Can I help?" Dakota asked.
"I'm handling it," Jean told her.
Jean walked out of the kitchen to get laundry.
Dakota picked up the phone, hitting redial to see who Jean was on the phone with, hearing an automatic voice. "You have reached the A-1 mortgage company's department of delinquent accounts and foreclosures. Please select from the following menu..."
Jean walked back in.
Dakota hung up, placing the phone down.
Jean saw this, giving her a look. "Dakota..."
"Sorry, I got curious and carried away," Dakota told her. "You know how I am."
"Yes, I do, and when I keep things to myself, it's to protect you," Jean told her, walking closer.
"You feel the need to protect me now?" Dakota asked. "Wow. Mom, I can help."
"I know you can," Jean told her. "But you've been putting yourself through too much after what you've already been through. Just let me handle this. All right?"
Dakota hesitantly nodded. Jean kissed her on the cheek so they could head separate ways to work.

Marin House - Kitchen
Ashley led Mona into the kitchen where Hanna and Madison were waiting. "It's the birthday girl."
Hanna smiled. "Happy birthday."
Mona and Hanna hugged.
"Hi," Mona told them. "The birthday girl wants to be shopping the second the stores open and have lunch at Rive Gauche."
Ashley walked closer, giving the girls a look. "Excuse me?"
"Did I say lunch?" Mona asked. "My bad. It's dinner at Rive Gauche. After school."
Mona winked at Madison and Hanna, who both smiled.
"Mona," Ashley told her.
"Mrs. M?" Mona asked.
"I'm serious," Ashley told her.
"Me, too," Mona told her. Ashley walked out of the kitchen. Mona turned to Hanna and Madison, smiling. "Okay, so should we meet after first period or just bail on school completely?"
"You heard our mom," Madison told her. "We can't ditch."
"Yeah, so?" Mona asked. "I don't see a locator bracelet on your ankles. Hanna, do you want to be my friend or not? Because lately, I'm feeling like you're everybody's friend but mine. You're either with Sean or Shim or the others. This is our special day, and if you screw it up, I'm not turning the other cheek. If you disappoint me, I'm going rogue."
"Mona, come on," Hanna told her. "You know that I'm your friend and I totally want to celebrate with you."
Ashley was heading back into the kitchen in time to hear their conversation. "Girls. I completely forgot. I'm gonna be working late tonight, so..." She took out money, handing it to Madison. "This should cover dinner, right?"
Madison took the money, smiling. "Yeah."
"Happy birthday, Mona," Ashley told her. She looked at Hanna and Madison. "Don't forget to lock up."
Mona turned to look at the money in Madison's hands. "Ooh. Ben Franklin. Score."
The girls smiled.

Montgomery House - Hallway
Evan and Aria were going through laundry in the hallway.
Byron walked up to them. "Oh, um, I was gonna do the laundry tonight."
"This place is out of control," Aria told him.
"Yeah, well, I guess we're all gonna have to pitch in a little bit more around here," Byron told them. "Maybe we could take turns. We each choose a night to, uh, cook and then do the laundry and then pay the bills and then help your brother with his homework. And then find time to grade papers and write lectures and go to PTA meetings."
"Dad, how much coffee have you had?" Evan asked.
Byron sighed heavily. "Are you still having lunch with your mom tomorrow?"
Aria nodded. "Yeah."
"At the Grille?" Byron asked.
"Yep," Aria answered.
"What do you think she would do if I were to come along?" Byron asked, picking up a towel to fiddle with nervously.
"Um, I don't know," Evan told him. "Why don't you just call her and ask?"
Aria took the towel Byron was fiddling with away from him. "Dad, no, that's dirty." Byron sighed. "What's stopping you?"
"She asked me for space," Byron answered.
"She moved out," Evan told him. "How much more space does she need?"
Aria sighed heavily.

Hastings House - Kitchen
Peyton and Spencer were getting coffee and food ready to go.
Melissa walked in, seemingly in a very happy mood. "Good morning." She pulled down a cup, getting orange juice from the fridge. "Juice?"
Melissa started to pour juice into her glass.
"Why are you being nice to me?" Spencer asked.
"Why didn't you tell me Ian was back?" Melissa asked.
"Because normal for us is not speaking," Peyton answered.
"He told me he saw both of you at Alison's memorial," Melissa told them.
"Well, we didn't talk," Spencer told her.
"He asked me out for coffee," Melissa told them.
"That's good, right?" Peyton trailed off, taking a sip of coffee.
"Ian broke my heart, Peyton," Melissa told her. She gave Spencer a significant look. "And I'm still getting over Wren, Spencer. So I said no."
"I'm really sorry about Wren, Melissa," Spencer told her. "I really am."
Melissa nodded awkwardly. "Yeah."
Melissa walked away.

Flashback
Day - Hastings House - Outside
(Song:) Crush - Aidan Hawken
Ian was teaching Spencer how to play field hockey. "Uh, no. Here. Let me show you." He placed his hands on Spencer's hips, situating them. "Okay. Like this." He put his arms around Spencer to help her position. "Okay?"
"Mm-hmm," Spencer answered.
Ian kissed the back of Spencer's neck lightly. Spencer turned to look at him from over her shoulder. They kissed. Spencer turned to face him completely while still kissing him.
Peyton was walking around the corner of the house, seeing that they were kissing, ducking back into hiding so that they didn't see her.
"Did you like that?" Ian asked.
Spencer couldn't help a small smile. "Maybe."
Ian cleared his throat, backing away. "Well, uh... I'll see you on the field, okay?"
"Okay," Spencer answered.
Ian turned to walk inside.
(Song Ends)
Peyton walked toward Spencer. "Okay, gross."
Spencer looked nervous. "What did you see?"
"Enough to make me want to puke," Peyton answered, walking up to the goal, leaning her arm against it. "He's our sister's boyfriend, and he's like, old."
"Well, it was nothing," Spencer told her. "Just forget it, okay?"
Peyton tilted her head skeptically. "It looked like you were into it."
"Well, I wasn't," Spencer told her.
"I hope not," Peyton told her. "Because if you were, it would hurt Melissa. More than just the fact that you kissed him to begin with."
Spencer walked toward Peyton nervously. "You're not gonna tell her."
"How are you gonna stop me?" Peyton asked. Spencer looked surprised by this reaction, stunned. "I don't mean to be a bitch, but Melissa needs to know. And there's only three ways she can find out. You, Ian... or me."

Now
Day - Rosewood High School - Courtyard
Evan and Pen were talking in the courtyard outside.
"It's a bummer Camp Mona's a girls-only party," Evan told her. "I was hoping to see you this weekend."
"Yeah, well, there's Sunday," Pen told him. "We could..."
"Lay around being lazy together watching old movies all day?" Evan suggested.
Pen smiled. "I love that."
"Then it's a date," Evan told her.
"Are you ready to go?" Pen asked.
"No," Evan answered. "I gotta talk to coach. I'll see you later."
Evan and Pen kissed slowly and sweetly for a long moment, pulling away.
Pen brushed back her hair, smiling. "Bye."
Evan smiled. "Bye."
Evan stood, walking away to talk to his football coach.
---- -----
Inside - Hallway
In the school hallway, Emily, Spencer, Hanna, Aria and Dakota were talking.
"What could they have found?" Spencer asked.
"I don't know," Aria told them.
Emily looked down the hallway to see that Pen, Lucy, Peyton and Madison were standing at their locker. "Hey, they need to know this. Come on."
They walked down the hallway toward the four younger girls.
"Lucy, hey," Dakota told her. "Madison. Pen. Peyton. We need to talk to you."
"Okay, what's going on?" Madison asked.
"The cops are here," Hanna answered. "I heard they found something of Alison's."
Man: (on PA) "Penelope DiLaurentis, please come to the office."
The other girls looked at Pen nervously in worry.
"Are you sure you're okay to go in alone?" Lucy asked.
"Yeah," Pen answered. "Thanks for the concern, but I'll be fine. See you soon."
Pen walked away from the group of girls, walking down the hallway as they watched her go, impressed by her bravery and confidence.
---- -----
Principal's Office
Pen was sitting alone, waiting in boredom, texting.
Jason walked in.
Pen was surprised to see him. "Jason? What are you doing here?"
"Two agents called me to see if I could be here for when they talk to you," Jason answered. "They don't want to do what Detective Wilden did with you girls when he talked to you without a guardian or an adult present."
"'Talked' isn't the word I would used," Pen told him. "'Harassed' is more like it."
Jason nodded in agreement, sitting next to Pen. "Lucky for us, Mara helped make sure that he was removed from the case so he can't do that anymore." Pen smiled knowingly, giving Jason a significant look. Jason scoffed softly, shaking his head. "Don't start."
Two detectives walked in.
"Sorry to keep you waiting," the female detective told them. "I'm Agent Cooper."
The male detective closed the door behind him.
Cooper handed her card to Pen.
Pen read the card in surprise. "FBI?"
Pen and Jason exchanged a surprised look.
---- / -----
Cooper nodded to the man behind her. "This is my partner, Agent Randell. And we're here because the bureau was asked by the local authorities to assist in the investigation of the Alison DiLaurentis murder. I am sorry for the loss of your sister. I want to show you something that was sent to the Rosewood Police Department by an anonymous source." She took a remote, hitting the start button. "Since you two are the family of this girl, the bureau's given me permission to show it to you."
They looked at the TV.
Alison was there, wearing her yellow shirt that she had been in the night she had disappeared, also holding a green jacket, pulling it back over her shoulders. "Wanna see more? I know you want to. If the other girls knew I was seeing you... oh, my God, they would not stop talking about it. Wish they were more mature, but..." Pen and Jason both looked disturbed. "We don't have a lot of time. I have to get back before they wake up." Alison tilted her head at the camera. "I know you wanna kiss me."
Cooper paused the video, rewinding it. "Is there, uh, anything you can tell me about what you see?"
"They're at the kissing rock," Jason answered. "It's in the woods behind the lake. Teenagers always used to go there to make out."
"I--I think this was taken the night Alison disappeared," Pen told them. "She was wearing that yellow top. But that's not her sweater."
"Are you sure?" Cooper asked.
"Ask me what's in all of my friends' closets, and I'll give you an itemized list," Pen told her. "I know clothes. Because Ali taught me."
"I think she's talking to an older boy," Jason told them.
"So-called, uh, mystery boyfriend?" Cooper asked, starting to play the tape again.
"She didn't want us to know who he was," Jason told them.
"Was he an older high school boy?" Cooper asked.
Jason shook his head. "I overheard her talking to Pen about it. She only told her enough to make it a secret."
"Oh, Alison liked secrets," Cooper told them.
"She thought sharing secrets kept us close," Pen told her.
"They do," Cooper told them. "But secrets are made to be found out in time."
Jason and Pen didn't answer, looking at the video.
Alison tilted her head at the camera. "I know you wanna kiss me."

Office Building - Jean's Office
Jean was working, on the phone with a man, anxious. "I'm trying to refinance, but the house isn't worth as much as it was when I bought out my ex. I just need another extension."
"I'm sorry, but your request is denied," the man told her. "Is there anything else I can help you with?'
"Please," Jean told him. "I'm--I'm begging you."
"I'm sorry, Mrs. McCoy, but the answer is still no," the man told her.
Jean took a deep breath, looking down, overwhelmed. "Okay."
"Have a nice day," the man told her.
Jean hung up, clearly upset and confused on what to do.
---- -----
Rosewood High School - Hallway
Madison was getting ready to leave the school early.
Noel walked up to her. "Hey. I heard that the FBI's here talking to you and your friends. Everything okay?"
"Yeah," Madison answered. "They just had a few questions about Alison. Right now, they're more focused on Pen and Jason, but they're gonna be talking to all of us, too."
"Well, where are you going?" Noel asked. "School's not even out yet."
"No, but Mona asked me and Hanna if we could skip the rest of the day and head out to the mall for a little birthday shopping," Madison explained.
Noel chuckled. "Oh, lucky."
Madison smiled. "Yeah. So, I won't be able to hang out this weekend because of Camp Mona, but I'll see you Sunday or Monday."
Noel smiled, nodding. "All right."
Noel and Madison smiled, kissing as they started to part ways, looking at each other as they backed away, turning around and walking away from each other.

Another Hallway
Hanna was getting a soda from a soda machine.
A girl walked up to Hanna. "Uh, you don't know me, but I'm in your fourth period social studies class."
"Okay," Hanna told her.
"Could you give me the name of your liposuction doctor?" the girl asked.
Hanna looked a little awkward. "Uh, sure. If I had one." Hanna walked away through the hallway. Other girls and boys were looking at Hanna, gossiping in whispers, laughing to themselves. Hanna walked up to Mona. "God, this day just keeps getting weirder."
Madison walked up to them. "Can we go now?"
"Actually, no, Madison, we can't," Mona answered. "I got a text from A, whoever that is, cluing me into the real reason your sister Hanna got skinny last summer."
Madison and Hanna looked worried and nervous.
"A sent you a text?" Hanna asked.
"I was eating three almonds a day, and you were getting liposuction?" Mona asked.
"No, that's not true," Hanna told her.
Mona scoffed. "I bought Naomi and Riley matching pajamas for my party. I was gonna pick up a pair for the two of you, but then I remembered you're not coming."
"Of course we're coming," Hanna told her. "Come on, you know I'd never miss your birthday."
"It's invite-only, Hanna, and you're uninvited," Mona told her.
"Mona, she's your best friend," Madison told her in confusion.
"We were best friends," Mona corrected. She looked at Hanna. "Now you're just somebody I used to hang out with. It's not like I didn't give you a warning. Hanna, Mona... rip cord. You can still come if you want, Madison. But your sister's done for."
Mona walked away.
Pen, Spencer, Peyton, Dakota, Emily and Lucy walked up to Hanna and Madison.
"What was that about?" Emily asked.
Hanna and Madison turned to face them.
"Um, A sent Mona a text, and I think she just broke up with Hanna," Madison answered.
"A sent Mona a text?" Peyton asked in surprise.
Dakota rolled her eyes, sighing. "I'm so over that bitch."
"What did it say?" Spencer asked.
"It doesn't really matter," Hanna told them. "It's all lies."
"Hanna, I'm so sorry," Lucy told her. "I know that Mona's really important to you."
"She was my friend when you guys weren't," Hanna told them.
"Well, we're here now, so if you're not going to the party, then we're not going either," Emily told her.
They shook their heads in agreement.
"No," Peyton agreed.
"No," Pen told them. "No, we're going on that scavenger hunt, and Hanna's going, too. A might be playing games, but I'm not."
Pen walked away.

Outside - Courtyard
(Song:) Chocolate and Cigarettes - Angus & Julia Stone
Aria was sitting outside on the steps, reading a poem by Ezra in a book. The poem seemed to be written just for her. She was so moved and touched by the poem that she started to cry, wiping the tears away.
---- -----
Inside - Hallway
Aria walked quickly down the hallway with tears in her eyes. She paused at the door to Ezra's classroom, seeing him through the window at his desk, grading papers. Ezra saw her through the window.

Ezra's Classroom
Aria walked into the classroom toward Ezra. "I read your poem. 'B-26.' How could you? How could you write these words and feel these feelings but give up on us so easily?"
Ezra stood. "I--I never intended for you to read that."
"You let me believe that you didn't love me," Aria told him.
"I thought I was doing the right thing," Ezra told her.
"For you," Aria told him. "Not for me."
"That's not true," Ezra told her.
"Oh, are we gonna talk about truth now?" Aria asked. "What, today's truth or yesterday's or last week's? Because, honestly, I don't know which of your stories to believe anymore. The, uh, 'I thought about you every second I was gone' story, or the ends that end with 'I'm outta here'? But it wasn't my age that ruined us, Ezra. You did."
"Aria, please," Ezra told her.
Aria handed the book to Ezra. "No. I'm trying to move on. You should, too."
Aria walked out of the classroom.
Ezra was upset, lashing out by throwing the poem book across the room.

Day Three
Morning - Fields House - Kitchen
Mara was sitting at the kitchen counter of her home, reading.
Spencer, Peyton, Emily, Lucy, Hanna, Madison, Pen, Aria and Dakota walked into the huge kitchen and combined living room with boxes of camping gear so that they could get ready for the Camp Mona party.
Mara was amused by their presence and all. "You guys are going camping? Cute."
"Uh, Mona invited us to her glamping party," Emily answered. "We're all going."
"Even if one of us did get uninvited," Dakota told her.
Spencer gave her a look. "Dakota."
Mara smirked in amusement. "Either Dakota or Hanna is always saying something wrong, and that's when the others are giving them a look or telling them to shut up. It's cute. How are you, Dakota?"
"I'm fine, Mara," Dakota answered. "Thank you for the birthday present that you guys all came up with."
"Not a problem," Mara told her. "Now, if you need help with anything else, just let me know, and I'll help you gladly."
"Hey, Mara, did you hear that Ian Thomas is back in town?" Hanna asked.
"Yeah, I did," Mara answered. "I saw him at the school as the field hockey coach, when one of the teachers were helping me set up for a teaching job at the school."
"So, you're really gonna do it?" Lucy asked. "You're really gonna be a teacher at the high school so you can help us with stuff?"
"Well, not just you guys, but any one else who needs help, too, yes," Mara answered.
"This coming from a girl that used to party heavily with my brother and did nothing but hook up with him," Pen told her.
"Transformed into a woman that wants to be the best she can be," Madison told her. "You should be a guidance counselor."
The girls laughed.
Mara smiled. "Yeah, that's actually one of the jobs that the principal offered me. It would be a pretty good job for me, don't you guys think?"
"Totally," Aria answered. "I mean, you've been helping us find out more about who we are and what we want since we met you."
"Yeah, I could totally see you as a teacher slash guidance counselor," Peyton told her. "Plus, it'd be super easy to get enough money to get your own place."
"Well, I am in no hurry to leave," Mara told them. "I just need to get out there. So, what did you want to tell me about Ian?"
"Oh, Ian's trying to win Melissa back," Spencer answered. "He's been asking her out for coffee, showing up to our house to ask her out."
"Yeah, it's really creepy," Peyton told her. "Like stalker-ish creepy. Spencer and I heard them arguing before Melissa finally said yes to coffee when we were on the way over here."
"Yeah, after Spencer encouraged Melissa to say yes to coffee in the first place because she's trying to fix what she broke with Wren and trying to do the right thing," Aria told her.
Mara chuckled in amusement, looking at Spencer. "Since when are you mending Melissa's relationships?"
"Well, she kind of owes it to her," Madison told them. "I mean, it's not about what Melissa has ever done for her, but more about what Spencer did to her."
"Yeah, Spencer's the reason that Ian broke up with Melissa, and the reason why Melissa and Wren broke up," Hanna told them. "She had a moment with both of them, and Peyton saw both times, and Melissa saw the last one."
Mara looked at Spencer teasingly, not being mean or serious, just trying to get her to smile. "You sleaze."
Spencer smiled.
Lucy laughed. "It was just one kiss between Ian and Spencer, but after he broke up with Melissa, he started seeing Spencer."
"Mm, same thing for Spencer and Wren," Pen told her. "After Wren and Melissa broke up, Wren and Spencer started to see each other for a little bit, but they stopped."
"Spencer is like the poster child for poor judgment," Dakota told them.
"Not to abide by this kind comment and behavior of Dakota's saying the most brutally honest thing at the worst possible time..." Emily trailed off.
"No, she's right," Spencer told them. "I admit that."
They all laughed.
Mara saw something on the news. "Hang on. I'm turning the TV up."
The TV showed a picture of Alison smiling, the same picture that the girls and Jason had chosen for the memorial. Mara turned the TV up so they could hear.
Woman: (on TV) "Authorities searched the family home earlier today, and initial reports have confirmed that a bloodstain on the sweater is a match to the victim's. If you just tuned in, police have issued a warrant for the arrest of the missing Rosewood teen, Toby Cavanaugh." A picture of Toby appeared on the screen. "He is wanted for the murder of Alison DiLaurentis."
"That sweater is Toby's," Aria told them.
Pen shook her head. "No, Alison was not dating Toby. There's no way that that's the guy she's talking to in the video."
"Pen, you saw the news," Hanna told her. "They have proof."
"If it's Toby's sweater, than he has to be the boy at the kissing rock," Peyton told them.
Lucy, Emily, Dakota and Mara didn't want to believe that Toby was the one behind this.
"Is it finally over?" Madison asked.
"No," Spencer answered. "Toby's been missing for weeks. It won't be over until he's behind bars."

Emily's Room
(Song:) Uh Oh I'm Falling - Shelly Fraley
After everyone was gone, Emily was up in her room with Maya, laying on the bed, cuddling.
"How could I be so wrong about someone?" Emily asked.
"I think the Toby you knew wasn't the Toby that killed Alison," Maya told her. "We all have a dark side. She just brought his to the surface."
Emily stood. "Alison went missing right after my dad left, and I always hoped that when he came back, I'd feel safe again."
"You will," Maya told her.
(Song Ends)
Emily was changing the CD.
Emily's phone buzzed.
"Can you get that?" Emily asked. "I think it's my mom."
Maya chuckled, reaching for the phone. "You really want her to know we're together?"
Emily shrugged, smiling impishly. "She can know we're together without knowing we're... together." Maya chuckled. "It's okay. Mara and Lucy already know we're together. Lucy is a little confused on whether she's bi-curious or bisexual, so she doesn't judge, and Mara's always there for us with whatever we're going through. If they're okay with it... my parents might not be, but they might come to be okay with it."
Maya nodded in understanding, answering the phone. "Emily's phone. Hello? Is somebody there?" She sighed. "I can hear you breathing."
Emily walked toward Maya to take the phone from her, talking to whoever was on the other end. "Hello?" She didn't get an answer, hanging up. They heard a door open downstairs. "Mom?"
---- -----
Living Room
Emily, Lucy and Mara walked downstairs to see why the door opened.
"Mom?" Lucy called.
"Hello?" Mara asked.
A man walked into view wearing his military uniform. His name was Wayne Fields.
All three of the Fields sisters smiled excitedly in happiness, laughing, running to hug him. "Dad!"
Wayne held his daughters close in a giant group hug with his three girls. "There they are."
Maya walked downstairs to see this, smiling at how happy they all were.
Pam walked in, smiling at the sight of her daughters and their father together. She noticed Maya, her smile faltering slightly in confusion. "Uh, Maya? I didn't know that you guys had company."
"Um, Dad, this is our friend, Maya," Emily told him.
Maya walked closer to shake Wayne's hand. "Hi. Your daughters have talked so much about you. I'm really happy to meet you."
"It's good to meet you, too, Maya," Wayne told her. He turned to look at his daughters, brushing back their hair or hugging them again. "Oh, God. Look at you."
Lucy laughed happily in relief, ecstatic.
Mara smiled, hugging Wayne tightly. "Oh, we missed you so much."
"I missed you too," Wayne told them.
Pam looked at Maya. "I think we're ready for some family time here, so, um... Maya."
Maya nodded. "Oh, um, sure."
"I'll, uh, I'll call you later," Emily told her.
"Okay," Maya told her, walking away.
The girls watched her go sympathetically, though they were still thrilled to have their father back.
Pam looked at Wayne, smiling. "So, I have all the fixings for your favorite meal, and that's a good thing, because baked potatoes are making a comeback."
Lucy laughed.
Wayne held his daughters and his wife close to him, and they hugged him back, as if they would never let go of their embrace. "Come here, my girls."

Apple Rose Grille
(Song:) Where the Road Meets the Sun - Katie Herzig & Matthew Perryman Jones
Aria and Evan were having lunch with Ella.
"Alison, she convinced us that she hated Toby, and I totally believed her," Aria told them. "Ah. Guess she was just playing a game."
"People aren't dolls," Ella told them. Evan looked up, picking at his food. "You can't just play with them and then put them back in the box."
Evan looked at Ella's fingers, chuckling. "You've been painting."
Ella smiled. "Yeah. For years, I couldn't find the inspiration to get back to it. Little did I know that all I needed was some lies and infidelity to light that fire."
Aria hesitated for a moment. "Do you blame me for keeping that secret?"
"I wish you would've told us, but I don't blame you," Evan answered.
"I thought I was protecting all of us," Aria told them. "I thought I was protecting our family."
"I know," Evan told her.
"I feel that I made a really big mistake, and..." Aria trailed off. "I just want to make sure you're hearing me when I say I'm really sorry."
Ella looked emotional, taking Aria and Evan by the hands. "I hear you, baby. But no more secrets, okay?"
Evan smiled. "No more secrets."

Fields House - Mara's Room
Mara, Lucy and Emily were talking in Mara's room, all looking relieved and happy.
Wayne walked in, no longer in his military uniform, but normal clothes. "I've been watching the news." The girls looked a little saddened, but trying to remain happy that their father was home. "Are you okay with all this stuff you're hearing?"
"I know it's supposed to feel like closure, but I only have more questions," Lucy told them.
"What about Toby Cavanaugh?" Wayne asked, walking over to sit next to his daughters.
"He's just a friend," Mara answered. "A good friend, actually.'
"Mara, he's dangerous," Wayne told her. He looked at Emily and Lucy. "You all know that now, right?"
"I guess," Emily answered. Outside the room, Pam was walking by, hesitating outside the room. "I just don't understand it."
"The only thing that Toby can give Alison's friends and her family now is the truth," Wayne told them. "There's an honor to being truthful. It could set that boy free."
"But what if we're not ready for the truth?" Lucy asked.
"What do you mean?" Wayne asked.
"Maybe it'll be too hard to hear," Lucy told them.
"Lucy, you know it's always better to be honest than to tell a lie," Wayne told her.
Mara looked at Lucy and Emily, knowing that they were worried about telling their parents the truth about Lucy's confusion and Emily's not-confusion about who they liked. She knew that they needed more time to figure out a way to tell, looking at Wayne. "Dad... we missed you so much."
"Me, too, babies," Wayne told them. The four of them hugged again. "Me, too."

Hallway
Pam was still listening out in the hallway, pulling out an envelope that she had received in the mail, opening the mail, pulling out the strip of photos that showed Emily and Maya kissing.

Hastings House - Spencer's Room
(Song:) Dig With Me - Allie Moss
Spencer and Peyton were getting ready for the glamping party.
Melissa walked in, knocking on the door. "Knock, knock. I actually had a good time with Ian."
"Wow," Peyton told her teasingly. "I will call TMZ."
Melissa chuckled, leaning against the wall. "I was thinking about what you two said, when you convinced me to go out with Ian. You said that you didn't know when this war between us started, but you wanted it to end, because you were tired. Me hating you two and you two hating me has become a lot of work."
"I didn't know that we hated each other," Spencer told her. "I just--I thought we didn't like each other."
They all chuckled.
"You've seen the news, right?" Melissa asked.
"Yep," Peyton answered.
"Alison fooled us all, didn't she?" Melissa asked. "I remember her constantly trashing that kid, and the whole time she was seeing him."
"Well, Ali played a lot of games, Melissa," Peyton told her.
Melissa nodded in agreement. "That's probably what got her killed."
Melissa gave Peyton and Spencer a sympathetic smile, walking out of the room, leaving them to think about what she said.

Woods - Dakota's Car
Dakota pulled her car over in the woods. The song was playing on her radio. She stopped the car.
(Song Ends)
Dakota leaned over to pick up her bag from the floor, sitting up.
Toby sat up behind her in the backseat.
Dakota was still jumpy from everything that had happened to her, jumping when she saw Toby in the rear view mirror in front of her, giving a slight gasp.
Toby sighed. "I want to finish what I started to tell you at homecoming."
---- / -----
Woods
Dakota and Toby had gotten out of the car to talk.
"September 1st is the day I ended it with Jenna," Toby told her. "I felt terrible about what we were doing, but I didn't know how to stop it."
Toby walked closer.
Dakota backed away. "Stay there, okay? If you want me to listen, just stay there. I've had enough of close calls with dangerous people."
"I heard about what happened to you, and that's why I didn't come sooner," Toby told her. "I knew that it would be too soon for someone to come talk to you with a conversation like this."
"So you waited weeks for me to calm down so you could pop up from my backseat?" Dakota asked sarcastically, nodding. "Good plan."
"Jenna told me she'd tell people that I forced myself on her," Toby told her. "She didn't want it to stop."
"Jenna wanted to be with you?" Dakota asked.
Toby nodded. "Jenna was in love with me. She's still in love with me."

Camp Mona
Mona was at her birthday party, getting so many gifts. "Thank you so much. That's so sweet. I specifically said no gifts, but look at this." Aria, Spencer, Peyton, Madison, Lucy, Emily and Pen walked up to the party. "This is amazing. I'm not gonna say no." Mona saw the girls, walking up to them. "Welcome to Camp Mona."
The girls all placed a present on the table.
"Happy birthday," Pen told her.
"Oh, whatever they are, I'm sure I'll love them," Mona told them. "And if not, I'll return it." The girls exchanged a look. Mona handed out big pink bags to each of the girls. "Swag."
"Oh, thanks," Madison told her.
Mona smiled. "Mm-hmm."
Spencer took a 'Camp Mona' black T-shirt out of the bag. "Oh, it's, um... subtle."
"Okay, tour time," Mona told them. She gestured toward where girls were waiting to get massages from masseuses. "So, over here, we have the massage tent. The mani-pedi area, the blow me bar, and the mini bar." She sighed. "Excuse me." She walked over to a girl. "Um, did I just see you eat a cookie?"
The other girls scoffed, walking along.
---- -----
Woods
Toby and Dakota were still talking.
"I asked Alison to meet me so I could tell her that she did me a favor," Toby told her. "She got me away from Jenna."
"Why was she wearing your sweater, and why would Ali meet you at the kissing rock?" Dakota asked.
"We didn't go anywhere," Toby told her. "We met right outside of Spencer and Peyton's barn. I gave her my sweater because it was cold. When I left her, she was getting in the car with some guy, still wearing my sweater. She was very much alive."
Dakota crossed her arms over her chest. "You have to tell the police."
Toby shook his head. "You see how it looks. They've already decided I'm guilty."
They heard chatter in the distance.
"If I don't go to this party, my friends are gonna show that something's wrong," Dakota told him.
"I only came back to say goodbye," Toby told her.
"Back from where?" Dakota asked.
"I spent a year in reform school," Toby told her. "I've got friends in all the wrong places, and misery loves company."
"You can't keep running," Dakota told him. "I know this for a fact. My dad had me and my mom running for years, and look at what happened to us."
"I need to get as far away from here as I can now," Toby told her.
"But if you're innocent--" Dakota started.
"If?" Toby repeated. "You think I'm lying? I need you to believe me, Dakota. It's all that matters."
"But I still have so many questions," Dakota told him.
"I left my stuff behind the church," Toby told her. "If there's any way you can come, my ride's not picking me up until midnight. If you tell your friends, you know they'll call the cops."
Toby walked away.
Dakota looked worried and conflicted and confused.
---- -----
Camp Mona
(Song:) Black Light - One Call
Mona was bragging to a bunch of her friends. "And so I said to her, 'If you were invited, you would've received an invitation.' Can you believe that?"
The girls all laughed.
---- -----
Massage Tent
All of the girls were talking about Toby and what he said to Dakota. (except for Hanna, who had been uninvited)
"He came back to tell me that he's innocent and that he didn't hurt Ali," Dakota told them.
"He's lying," Peyton told them. "We have to tell the police."
Lucy, Emily and Dakota didn't answer, because they didn't want Toby to get hurt if he really was innocent.
Madison's phone went off. She picked it up to look at the text. "It's Hanna." She answered the phone. "Hey."
Hanna was in the Marin House, packing up. "Hey. How's my friend Mona?"
Madison looked outside to see that Mona was counting her presents on the table, and there were many. "Um... she's Mona."
"Well, I'm leaving in ten, and if A's watching you, I'll be watching her," Hanna told her, picking up a pair of binoculars, putting them in her bag.
"Are you sure you're gonna be okay?" Madison asked.
"Maddie, I went to fat camp for five summers," Hanna told her. "I can handle some woods."
"Hanna, listen," Madison told her. "Dakota saw Toby."
Hanna couldn't hear her. "Hello?"
"God, service out here sucks," Madison told them.
They had to hang up.
Aria's phone went off. She took it out to look at the text. "It's from A." All of the girls walked closer to look at the text. "'You found my bracelet. Now come find me. Good luck, bitches'."
"Does that mean we're supposed to go where you four found Ali's bracelet?" Emily asked.
"That was in the middle of nowhere," Lucy told them.
"Actually, it was 15 steps east of the half-point tree," Peyton told them. "Which is 136 steps from the main road."
Pen was stunned but impressed. "Peyton, you're a freak, and I love you."
The girls stood to leave.
Mona walked in. "Lucy, Peyton. Your turn to get blown."
Mona walked out.
Spencer looked at Lucy and Peyton. "Well, it has to look like we're here for the party, so go glamp, and we'll be back before it gets dark."
The girls started to split up.
Aria's phone went off. She looked at the text from Ezra.
I need to see you,
-- Ezra
"Is it A?" Emily asked.
"No," Aria answered. "Uh, just my mom."
The girls walked out together.
---- -----
Woods
Hanna was hiding in the woods outside of Camp Mona, keeping an eye on everything.
---- -----
Blow Me Tent
Lucy and Peyton had gotten their hair blown up to extreme height and volume.
The other girls, minus Hanna, walked up to them.
Dakota, Pen and Madison couldn't help but start laughing at Lucy and Peyton's hair. "Wow."
"Shut up," Lucy told them.
Dakota reached out to touch Lucy's hair. "What happens if you touch it?"
"Did you find anything?" Peyton asked.
Spencer looked around to see if anyone was listening, looking at the other girls. "Come here." They walked away to the side of the camp to talk alone. Spencer pulled out a bracelet to show them, and the name on the bracelet said Jenna. "Guys, check it out."
"Is Jenna telling us that she's A?" Lucy asked.
"I don't think so," Emily answered. "There's something else."
Aria pulled out a card to show them, reading it aloud. "'You're as in the dark as Jenna, looking for me in the all the wrong places'."
"Well, if this is the wrong place, then what's the right place?" Madison asked.
The girls didn't answer, all looking at each other worriedly.

Night - Church - Outside
(Song:) Out of Reach - Matthew Perryman Jones
Toby was standing outside the church, waiting for Dakota, if she was going to show, but he was mostly hidden by the wall of the church behind some bushes in front of him. He looked around, seeing headlights, thinking it was Dakota.
Cop cars pulled up all around the church, surrounding Toby.
Toby turned to run, but saw that police men were everywhere, looking around frantically.
All of the cops walked closer with their guns aimed at Toby, arresting him, taking him to a police car, putting him inside.
Once they had Toby, they police drove away from the church.
(Song Ends)
---- / -----
Camp Mona
The girls, minus Hanna and Aria, were sitting around the camp fire.
Spencer was thinking about the message from A. "'You're looking for me in all the wrong places'."
Peyton got an idea, standing, looking around at all of the girls around that were wearing a black 'Camp Mona' hoodie or T-shirt, walking toward the other girls.
"Hey, where's Madison?" Lucy asked.
"She went off to join Hanna in the woods," Pen answered. "She didn't like the idea of leaving her out there alone."
Lucy nodded in understanding. "So, where's Aria?"
"I don't know," Emily told them.
"We have to go to the Wright Place," Peyton told them. "W-R-I-G-H-T."
The girls thought for a moment.
"Wright's Playground," Pen realized.
Dakota nodded in agreement. "Yeah."
"Let's go," Emily told them.
The girls set off.
---- -----
Woods
Hanna was sitting alone in the woods, watching everything.
Madison walked up to her, sitting next to Hanna. "Hey."
"What are you doing here?" Hanna asked.
"I came here to make sure that you weren't alone in the dark, looking for A," Madison answered. "Hanna, we have no idea what A is capable of, and I don't wanna leave you alone out here."
Hanna was touched and relieved, smiling a smalls smile. "Thanks, Maddie." Madison smiled, nodding. They saw a car pulling up. "Wait."
Madison and Hanna watched the car suspiciously.
---- -----
Elsewhere
Emily, Lucy, Spencer, Peyton, Pen and Dakota were walking together through the woods toward the Wright's Playground.
Dakota looked at Spencer and Peyton. "I think you're actually enjoying this."
They found the playground, walking up to it, looking around, but not seeing anything.
---- -----
Woods
Hanna and Madison were still watching the car.
Someone in a black 'Camp Mona' hoodie walked up to the car.
---- -----
Ezra's Car
Ezra was in the driver's seat.
The figure in the black hoodie got into the passenger seat.
"Thanks for meeting me," Ezra told her. The figure pulled back the hood, revealing Aria. "I don't blame you for being angry. I deserve it. I was a coward. I should've fought for you."
"Yeah?" Aria asked. "Why didn't you?"
"I wasn't looking for another job so I could leave you, Aria," Ezra told her. "I was... looking for you. I thought that if I resigned from Rosewood, we'd have a chance. Then I decided that I was being selfish, and that you deserved a chance to be happy without all of the complications--"
"You really are a jerk, Ezra," Aria told him. "You can't just go around deciding how things are supposed to work out. I mean, you don't get to choose how I feel. Look, whether you believe me or not, I have always been honest with you. But you hiding your feelings from me is just like lying."
Ezra turned in his seat to face Aria. "I was wrong. Forgive me."
They started to lean in close, obviously wanting nothing more but to kiss.
"No," Aria told him.
Ezra leaned closer to whisper to Aria. "Forgive me."
Aria instantly leaned closer to kiss Ezra passionately. They continued to make out.
---- -----
Woods
Hanna and Madison were still watching the car, as the headlights turned off.
Hanna was looking through binoculars. "Mr. Fitz and... oh, my God."
---- -----
Wright's Playground
The other girls were still looking around for clues.
Spencer shone her light over to something. "Guys."
They walked over to a tree where a heart was carved into it, and two names. The second name was covered by moss, but the first name was Alison.
Lucy picked up a stick, using it to wipe the moss away to reveal Ian's name on the tree underneath Alison's.
"Alison loves Ian?" Peyton asked.
The girls looked at each other in shock.
---- -----
Woods
Madison and Hanna were still watching the car.
A figure in a black hoodie walked up to the car, drawing a message in the condensation of the back window, while Ezra and Aria were too busy making out inside the car to notice. The message was 'I See You'.
Madison was trying to call Aria, but she didn't notice her phone vibrating.
The figure writing the message ran away from the car.
Hanna and Madison started to follow.
---- -----
Wright's Playground
The other girls were still looking at 'Alison + Ian' on the tree inside the heart.
Pen's phone went off. She took it out to look at the text from Madison.
S.O.S. Hanna and I know who A is. Heading to the parking lot.
Pen showed the text to the other girls.
They all ran off to the parking lot to meet with Madison and Hanna.
---- -----
Parking Lot
Hanna and Madison were walking around, looking for the figure they assumed to be A. They heard a twig snap, turning to look behind them, hiding behind a car so they didn't get caught, seeing the figure running past.
Spencer, Peyton, Pen, Dakota, Emily, Lucy and Aria ran into the parking lot.
"Hanna?" Spencer called.
"Madison," Pen called.
"We're over here," Lucy told them.
Hanna and Madison turned toward the other girls in relief, starting to walk toward them.
"Hanna," Aria told her. "Madison."
Peyton looked behind them worriedly. "Watch out!"
"Look behind you!" Dakota told them.
Hanna and Madison turned to see a car barreling toward them.
"Hanna, no!" Madison told her.
Madison hurriedly pushed Hanna out of the way, trying to run out of the way, but she was hit in the process by the car, flipping over it to the ground, landing badly.
Hanna had landed on her back on the ground, looking at the scene in shock. "Oh, my God!"
The car drove away quickly.
The other girls ran closer in shock and horror and worry.
"Madison!" Aria told her.
Hanna ran closer, crawling closer to hold Madison in shock. "Maddie, stay awake. Maddie!"
"Oh, my God," Emily told them. "Call 911."
Lucy pulled out her phone to call. "There's been an accident. We're at the Camp Rosewood parking lot. Please hurry!"
Hanna was trying to keep Madison awake, holding her injured sister in her arms, crying. "She's not breathing."
Pen tried to wake her up in a panic. "Maddie."
"Madison," Peyton told her.
Madison's phone was on the ground, ringing as she was getting a text.
"Please, no," Aria told them.
"This can't be happening," Emily told them.
Dakota picked up Madison's phone, reading the text from A aloud in a shaky, desperate voice. "'She knew too much. A'."
The girls were all crying in horror and devastation, in denial that they were losing Madison.
Spencer yelled out. "Somebody!"
"Madison," Hanna told her, trying to wake her up.
Aria called out. "Help!"
Hanna held Madison tightly, crying.
Lucy, Pen and Peyton were crying just as badly.
"Madison," Pen told her.
"Maddie," Lucy told her.
Hanna put her hand over her mouth to keep from sobbing. "Madison!"
Peyton yelled out for help. "Somebody!"
Spencer called out. "Help!"
The girls continued to cry and panic around Madison.

A's Lair
The video of Alison was playing on the laptop. "I know you wanna kiss me."
The camera moved closer to Alison as whoever was filming walked closer. Alison stood to take the camera from the person, turning it around to reveal that Ian was the one there with her.
Ian smirked. "Come closer."
Alison chuckled.
A seemed to be watching, though the black clad figure never showed their hands.
