chapter 11 - The Outsider

From 2.07 "Child of the Moon", in the Charming Loft, Grace, Regina, Henry and Rose were with Gold.

Freya/Priscilla: (voice over) "Previously on Worlds Colliding (Once Upon a Time)."

Rose looked at them in shock. "Wait. Magic? I have magic?"

Henry was impressed, smiling. "Cool. Why don't I?"

"Not all siblings are born with magic," Gold answered. "One could be born with, and one without. Sometimes, whole families are born powerless, but one is born with magic." He looked at Grace. "And sometimes, whole families have magic. A grandfather, a mother, a father who has adjacent magic or at least magical objects, and then a daughter who doesn't like magic but could end up getting magic."

"Why are you looking at me when you say that?" Grace asked.

Gold raised his eyebrows skeptically at Grace, tilting his head. Grace looked nervous that he knew something about her and magic, looking away, but no one else seemed to know what Gold meant.

Day One

Night - Town Line

Gold drove up to the town line, removing William Smee from the trunk of his car. "This will only take a moment."

Smee was struggling but of course was no match for the Dark One. "Don't push me over. If I cross the line, I'll lose my memory. It's a cruel fate."

"A fate you were more than willing to bestow upon Belle," Gold replied, pushing him to the ground with his cane, removing his red carp. "You've had this rag since the day we met. Why is it so important to you?"

"My grandmother made it for me when I was a boy," Smee answered. "It's always brought me good fortune. What difference does it make?"

Gold poured a potion on the cap, chuckling. "All the difference in the world. It's your only chance."

Gold returned the cap.

Smee put the cap on his head. "What do you mean my only--"

Gold kicked Smee across the town line, seeing the magic visibly running across Smee's body. "What's your name?"

"William Smee," Smee answered.

"And who am I?" Gold asked.

"Rumplestiltskin," Smee answered, standing. "The Dark One. I remember everything. How can this be?"

"Well, it seems that our little experiment was a success," Gold answered, pulling Smee back across the line. "Now go. I have a trip to plan with my family."

Street

Alcina had walked alone, finding the Charmings, who were nervous to see her after what happened. "Don't worry. I'm not here to hurt you."

"Then why are you here?" Emma asked.

"I just wanted to ask you something," Alcina answered. "Something important. Something serious."

"Which is?" Ella asked.

"If you're right about what I did..." Alcina trailed off. "If you, Saphira, Tori and Mathias are right about me losing my mind and killing Archie... then I need you to make sure that I can't hurt anyone else. I just found out that Regina's my half-sister instead of full-blooded sister. Just found out that Freya is my half-sister as well. And that Rumple is my true father. And that Grace is my niece. Jefferson's my brother in law. And I can't hurt any of them. Or Lisa. Or Henry. Or Rose. Or anyone else. Whatever you think of me, I have been trying to change. And if you're right about this, then it's something I can't control. So if you want to protect your family and friends... help me protect my family... you should lock me up. But you shouldn't tell Regina, or Freya, Jefferson, Grace, or Lisa, or Tori, Saphira and Mathias, or anyone. Because they would surely let me out on the benefit of doubt. I know you four are only trying to protect everyone. I know that's why you came after me. So please make sure that I don't hurt anyone else. Lock me away. Please. If not for me, then for everyone else."

The Charmings were completely in shock to hear this from her.

Day - Woods

Belle was walking through the forest, looking over the kingdom. "I'm coming back, Rumple. To you and Priscilla."

Evil Queen appeared. "Isn't that sweet? Still fighting for true love. Even to the bitter end."

"If you do anything, you know my sister Tori will stop at nothing to find me," Belle told her. "Even young Priscilla and Rumple."

"Not if they think you're dead," Evil Queen replied, turning to one of her guards. "Right, Claude? Take her to the tower."

Belle struggled against the guards that grabbed her. "What? No! What are you--what are you doing?" Evil Queen smiled. "I--I can save them! Just let me go to them! I--I can break his curse."

"You've already tried and failed," Evil Queen told her. "That monster's beyond saving. I'm sparing you a lifetime of pain and misery."

Belle was put inside a cage on the carriage. "You can't keep us apart forever! I'll fight for him. I will fight for Priscilla and Tori." Evil Queen smiled, riding off on her horse. "I'll never stop fighting for them!"

Day Two

Morning - Cemetery

The town was gathered for Archie's burial.

Lisa was giving a saddened speech. "Some of us knew him as Archie, others as Jiminy, but we all knew him as a true friend. And though he may now be gone, he will always live on inside of us, reminding us to be our best selves. To do the right thing, to always fight for what we believe in. So we shouldn't think of today as a goodbye, just as a way of saying, Archie, we'll be listening."

Grace approached Archie's grave, placing his umbrella by the tombstone. "We miss you so much, Archie. But at least you're in a better place."

The Charmings walked up to the Hatters to try to talk them.

"Freya..." Snow trailed off.

Freya ignored her, walking away. Jefferson, Lisa and Grace sighed, leaving as well.

Tori, Saphira and Mathias walked up to the Charmings.

"Give them some time," Tori told them. "You owe them that."

"Especially after going after Alcina like that," Saphira agreed. "And possibly making her lose her mind."

"The Hatters have a complicated history with Regina and Alcina," Mathias told them. "Just as much as anyone. But they always believed they could be redeemed."

"And now that they know Alcina and Freya are half-sisters?" Tori asked. "It gives them hope now more than ever that both Alcina and Regina can be redeemed."

"We've all done bad things," Saphira admitted. "We all got a second chance."

Mathias sighed. "Maybe they even deserve the second chance."

Harbor - Jolly Roger

Archie was held prisoner, interrogated by Killian. "Wait, no, please don't, wait. Please, please!"

"Shh!" Killian told him. "As your patient, Vasilisa must have told you all manner of secrets about her adoptive family. Priscilla, Jefferson, Grace, and the Dark One. Where is his dagger?"

"I don't know anything about a dagger," Archie told him honestly.

Killian sat back away from Archie. "No, you don't, do you? It's his weakness. Now, tell me, does he have any others besides his family? His family was Milah's family, so I won't hurt them. And I was hoping for a way around his girl, because hurting his girl would hurt my long time friend Mathias Matthews, and his wife Tori French-Matthews and their daughter Saphira. But if I don't find another way around it, then I'll just have to go along with it."

Gold's Pawnshop

The Hatters were here talking with Gold, and the Matthews.

"Hey," Saphira told them. "Where's Aunt Belle?"

"Went to work at the library," Tori answered.

Jefferson looked at Freya and Gold. "Hey. What's wrong that you had to drag us all here instead of talking about it over the phone?"

"We did it," Freya answered. "We can leave."

"You found a way to cross the town line?" Jefferson asked.

"Indeed," Freya answered. "We did."

"Let me guess," Grace told them. "With the help of Lisa."

Jefferson chuckled. "Obviously."

Freya showed them a potion. "When we pour this potion onto the object we hold most dear, that object becomes a talisman. It allows us to cross the town line and still remember who we are."

"And who you're looking for," Mathias added.

Grace looked up excitedly. "Uncle Bae."

"What, um..." Saphira trailed off. "What will you enchant?"

Gold removed an item from a safe in the wall behind a photo. "This shall is all I have left of my Baelfire."

"Freya and I made a deal with Gold that we would go with him a long time ago," Jefferson explained. "Lisa and Grace were asking to come with us."

"Well, it's only fitting that you go together, Jefferson," Tori told him. "As a family."

Gold nodded. "Perhaps the only thing we've done together as a family."

"We were just worried about going now, because of everything going on with Alcina," Freya explained.

"It's okay," Mathias told them. "Go find Baelfire. We can take care of everything here."

"Alcina will show up sometime," Tori promised.

"We just shouldn't push her," Saphira agreed.

Grace noticed why Lisa wasn't talking, because she was setting up many matches along a table. "Lisa? What are you doing?"

"I'm striking as many matches as I need to have a vision to prove that Alcina did not kill Archie," Lisa answered.

Jefferson sighed. "Lisa... you're putting yourself under too much pressure."

"I'm making sure that Freya, Grace and Mr. Gold don't have to lose Alcina so soon after just discovering she's their family," Lisa replied, using her power to set flames to matches one a time to see the vision that she was looking for.

She saw Archie in the flame of one match, alive and tied up, hearing Killian's voice, but not seeing Killian. "Ah, that's more like it. Now tell me, cricket."

Lisa was so surprised and startled that she put the flame out with magic without meaning to.

"Lisa?" Tori asked. "What did you see?"

"I saw Archie alive," Lisa answered. "I saw him tied up, and beaten, and scared."

"What?" Mathias asked. "You're sure?"

"Lisa's never wrong about these things, Papa," Saphira told him. "What else did you see?"

"Nothing," Lisa answered. "But I heard a voice. It sounded familiar but I couldn't recognize it."

Freya sighed in relief. "Archie's alive. Which means that Alcina didn't kill him."

"What about the dreamcatcher that we saw Alcina and Archie in?" Jefferson asked. "An illusion of some kind?"

"It wouldn't be the first," Freya replied.

Grace smiled excitedly. "Aunt Ally didn't kill him. Which means she really did change."

Grace's excitement was enough to fuel a surge of power from within herself, which left her body in visible waves of light purple power, almost like a pink color, lighting all the matches and creating mini fireworks, surprising the others. The fireworks were getting bigger, more out of control, so Freya, Lisa, Gold, Saphira and Mathias used magic to put the flames out. They all looked at Grace, who smiled nervously.

"Did... did Grace just do that?" Saphira asked.

"Grace?" Freya asked.

Grace chuckled nervously. "Um, yeah. That's something we should probably talk about."

"Talk about?" Jefferson repeated. "This has happened to you before?"

"When has this happened to you before?" Tori asked.

"Where?" Mathias added.

"In the Infinite Forest, where Regina forced Lisa to send me," Grace answered. "I was alone for so long and I got so angry that it lashed out and I had magic. I couldn't control it and it was out of control."

"Is this the first time you've had experience with magic since being in Storybrooke?" Lisa asked.

Grace nodded nervously in answer.

"Why didn't you tell us?" Saphira asked.

"Grace never approved of magic," Freya answered. "She was probably hoping that her magic wouldn't come back over here."

"Weren't you, Grace?" Jefferson asked.

Grace nodded shamefully. "Papa, Mama, Lisa, I'm sorry."

"Grace, having magic is nothing to be ashamed of," Tori assured.

Mathias gave Gold a significant look. "As long as you don't let it control you."

Gold smirked. "Well, I'm sure that it comes as no surprise that Grace, the granddaughter of the Dark One, and the girl who has one of the most famous witches and the Mad Hatter for parents, has magic."

"Of course it's not a surprise to you, because you knew that I had magic, you practically said it before when we were helping with the Netherworld/magic issues," Grace replied.

Freya and Jefferson turned to Gold, giving him a look, which he smirked at.

"You knew she had magic and you didn't tell us?" Jefferson asked.

"I figured that you should find out on your own," Gold replied. "Didn't expect it to be this way. And besides, it shouldn't surprise you, given she's the granddaughter of the Dark Ones, the niece of the Dark Sorceress, the daughter of Dark Witch and Mad Hatter."

"Light Witch," Freya corrected, only making Gold smirk again.

"Are you okay, Grace?" Lisa asked.

Grace nodded. "I will be."

Mathias looked at the Hatters and Gold. "You'll all make sure of that."

"And Saphira and Mathias can help you in anyway that you need," Tori assured.

Saphira nodded in agreement. "Definitely."

Flashback 2

Enchanted Forest

Day - Tavern

Tori was sitting in the tavern, downing a large, large mug of beer, acting like a pirate long before she ever met Mathias, listening to a speech being given across the room.

The man giving the speech was named Alistair. "There's a fearsome beast ravaging a faraway kingdom. Its eyes burn with fire. They call it the yaoguai. No man has been able to kill it, but we will. There's room on our wagon. Who's going to join us?"

Dreamy approached Tori's table. "Looking for an adventure?"

"Dreamy, right?" Tori asked.

"Yes," Dreamy answered. "I came to thank you. That advice you and your sister gave me last night, it worked. Nova and I are running away together."

Tori smiled. "That's wonderful."

They both looked toward Alistair and his group.

"Why don't you sign up?" Dreamy asked.

Tori scoffed. "Yeah, I've always dreamt of heroics, but when people find out what I am, they'll look at me like a monster. Only adventures I know that have happy endings are in Belle's books."

"Well, maybe this one will have one, too," Dreamy told her.

"Well, yeah, I doubt it," Tori told him. "Last time I faced a beast didn't end well."

"What are you talking about?" Dreamy asked.

Alistair called out. "Men! Follow me! Yaoguai awaits."

Dreamy looked at Tori. "Get on that wagon. Go! Take a chance."

Tori thought about it a moment, smiling slightly. "Thank you."

Tori turned to leave.

Dreamy remembered something. "Wait, Tori." Tori turned back. "Wait." Dreamy handed her a pouch. "It's Fairy dust. It might come in handy."

"Uh, no, thank you," Tori told him. "I've seen what magic does to people."

"You've seen what dark magic does," Dreamy corrected. "Fairies use this for good. Now go be a hero."

Tori smiled, running off.

Day - Library

Belle walked into the library for work, seeing someone in the corner holding a book. "Uh, sorry, the library's not open yet."

Killian walked into view. "Oh, I'm not here for the books, love. I'm here for you, to get to Rumplestiltskin, probably going to piss off Mathias, Tori and Saphira at the same time, but it wouldn't be my first time pissing off a Dragon, Siren, or a Siren/Dragon. You might want to run."

Belle started to run as Killian gave chase, pushing a bookshelf onto him to pin him down, running to the elevator for safety, closing and locking the doors, using her cellphone to call Gold.

Gold was still in the pawnshop. "Hey, Belle."

"Rumple, I'm in the elevator, and there's a man in the library, he broke in, and he wants to kill me," Belle told him in a rush.

"Belle, you're breaking up," Gold told her. "Who's in the library?"

"A pirate," Belle answered.

"Belle?" Gold asked.

"Missing a hand," Belle went on.

"Belle?" Gold asked.

"Hello?" Belle asked.

Tori was worried. "What's wrong with Belle?"

Flashback 3

Enchanted Forest

Day - Road

Tori was riding on a wagon with Alistair's group in search of the yaoguai, reading a book.

"What's that?" Alistair asked.

"Uh, a book," Tori answered in a duh voice. "I trust you've seen one before?"

"You expect to beat the fiercest creature in the land with a book?" Alistair asked.

"Maybe she means to bore it to death," a man mocked.

The men laughed.

Tori rolled her eyes. "It will tell us how to find the yaoguai."

Alistair took the book. "These are just scribbles."

"It's called another language," Tori explained sassily, taking the book back. "One that I know how to translate." She read. "Hmm."

"What?" Alistair asked.

"Oh, I thought it was just scribbles?" Tori asked sarcastically.

"We are here to protect the land, girl," Alistair told her. "If that book tells us where to go, you shall share it with us."

Tori knew they weren't going to take her along, lying. "It says we'll find the yaoguai by the lake."

"The lake you say?" Alistair asked.

Tori nodded. "Yes."

"You heard her, men," Alistair told them. "We're going to the lake." He kicked Tori off of the wagon. Tori stood. "Don't forget your book!"

Alistair threw the book to the wind, laughing along with the other men.

Tori found the book and map. "Enjoy the lake!" She read to herself. "The yaoguai prefers mountain habitats to all others."

Yaoguai's Lair

Tori arrived, reading to herself. "The yaoguai hibernates by day and hunts by night."

Tori drew a knife, preparing to use her Siren song, that she barely knew how to use because this was before she found the Sirens in 1.13 What Happened to Frederick. The yaoguai made a sound from its lair, running out. Mulan arrived, nearly crushed by the yaoguai. Tori began to sing to save Mulan's life, which made the yaoguai fall under the Siren spell and run off.

Tori helped Mulan stand. "You're welcome for saving your life."

"You mean ruining my hunt," Mulan told her. "What are you, monster?" Tori rolled her eyes. "It took me weeks to track the yaoguai here."

"Yeah, I found it in a day," Tori told her.

"You had luck on your side," Mulan replied.

Tori showed her the book. "No, not luck. It was this. My stepfather made me and my sister Belle read these all the time. I could, uh, I could help you find it again."

"You've done enough damage already," Mulan told her. "If you really want to help, stay out of the way."

Mulan ran off into the woods. Tori sighed, having gotten the reaction she had always gotten when people saw what she could do.

Day - Library

Belle was hiding in the elevator, to which the doors opened, and Gold, Tori, Saphira and Mathias ran in.

"Aunt Belle?" Saphira asked. Tori and Saphira embraced Belle, who returned the embrace gratefully. "It's okay. It's okay."

"W--where--where is he?" Belle asked.

"We don't know," Mathias admitted. "But you've nothing to fear. We're here now."

Charming Loft

Henry and Rose were sitting at the table.

Ella sat nearby. "Hey, kids. You hungry? I managed to wrangle up Pop Tarts."

Ella extended plates toward them.

"No, thanks," Rose told her.

"Lisa and Grace called," Henry explained. "Lisa said that she had a vision."

"A vision of Archie still being alive," Rose told them.

Emma sighed. "Oh, kids. Lisa's probably just hoping that he's alive. We all saw that dreamcatcher."

"But Lisa's never been wrong before," Rose pointed out. "Her visions have never been wrong."

"She remembered everything through her visions," Henry pointed out. "Remember?"

"Freya, Jefferson, Grace, Tori, Saphira, Mathias and Mr. Gold all believe Lisa," Rose told them. "The Hatters. The Matthews."

"Yeah, of course they do," Emma told them. "Because that would mean that they were right about Alcina."

"What if they are?" Henry asked. "What if Lisa's vision is right? She's always right."

"I really hope she's right this time too," Ella admitted. Emma gave her a surprised look. Ella and Emma walked toward Snow. "Well, that went well."

"Ella, you're doing all you can do," Snow told her.

"That's what makes me feel awful," Ella told them.

Grumpy and Ruby walked in.

"Ladies, the dwarfs have been thinking," Grumpy told them. "When do we go back?"

"Back where?" Emma asked.

"The Enchanted Forest," Grumpy answered. "Our home."

"You want to go back?" Snow asked.

"We fought really hard to get here," Ella told them.

"But with what Regina and Alcina did to Archie, Storybrooke ain't as safe as we thought," Grumpy told them.

"It was Alcina, not Regina," Emma told him. "And Alcina's not going to be a threat right now. We're going to find Regina. There's only so many places she can hide."

"We've dealt with them both before," Snow told them. "We'll do it again."

Ella gave Snow and Emma a sarcastic look. "Yeah, sure. Just forget to mention one of the most important parts. That Lisa's vision says Archie's still alive and that Alcina didn't kill him."

Grumpy and Ruby were incredibly relieved to hear this news.

"But it's not just them," Grumpy told them. "The Curse is broken. There's a whole world full of people beyond the town line that don't know who or what we are. Ever think of what might happen if one of them were to come pay us a visit?"

"He's right," Ruby told them. "What if they see, you know, magic? Like a girl turning into a wolf, for example. Folks weren't exactly understanding back in our world."

"Okay, let's not worry about what-ifs," Emma told them. "No one is here."

"Yet," Grumpy corrected. "Maybe they come, maybe they don't. But that doesn't change the fact that while we might enjoy things like penicillin, we're a bit homesick."

Street

Gold, Belle, Tori, Saphira and Mathias met up with Freya, Jefferson, Lisa and Grace.

"Where are you going?" Lisa asked.

"The shop," Tori answered.

"Why?" Lisa asked.

"Well, let's just say there are many wonderful things in there that we could use to make sure that pirate never comes near Belle again," Tori answered.

"Tori, no," Belle told her. "Freya, you're a deputy. Report this to the Sheriffs. You can take care of him."

"Yeah, me and the Sheriffs aren't exactly on talking terms right now," Freya told them.

Belle sighed. "You're so close to finding Baelfire. Please don't let your hatred for this man get in the way of that."

"That's a funny way of putting it," Jefferson told her. "Since, you know, Freya, Saphira, Tori and Mathias have a past with this guy. And they never hated him until he came after you."

"But why?" Belle asked. "What happened between you guys?"

Gold sighed. "Belle, it is really not your concern."

"He attacked her," Lisa told him. "It most definitely is her concern."

"What happened?" Grace asked.

Tori sighed. "Many years ago, Rumple was married to a woman named Milah. Until Hook crossed their paths."

"She was Baelfire and Priscilla's mother?" Belle asked.

"Yes," Saphira answered. "And so Freya and Bae grew up without her."

Gold amended the story a bit because Lisa and Grace were there, and he didn't want Belle to know the whole truth. "He took my wife, he took Bae and Cilla's mother, so I took his hand."

Freya, Jefferson, Saphira, Tori and Mathias gave Gold a look for not telling the whole story.

"That's why he came after me?" Belle asked. "But what about her? What did he do with her?"

"She died," Mathias answered. "You can ask Rumple the sordid details of how later."

Gold's Pawnshop

They all walked in, finding the shop had been ransacked.

"What happened in here?" Jefferson asked.

"Hook," Tori answered. "This is why he attacked Belle."

"To get us all out of the store," Freya agreed.

"Why?" Grace asked.

"What did he want?" Lisa asked.

Freya realized, using magic to open the safe behind the picture where Gold had stored Baelfire's shawl, only to discover it missing.

Rooftop

Killian was spying on the shop and everyone inside with his telescope. Smee walked over, carrying Baelfire's shawl.

"You have it, Mr. Smee?" Killian asked.

"What is it, Cap'n?" Smee asked.

"It's the end of the crocodile's hope," Killian answered. "Now he's trapped here."

ღღ

Gold's Pawnshop

Gold was wrecking everything in sight with his cane in a fit of absolute rage. Freya and Jefferson were leading Lisa and Grace away so they didn't have to be near that.

Belle tried to stop him. "Rumple! Rumple, stop it!"

Freya raised her voice. "Papa! Stop! Please."

Gold took a moment to calm down. "No, you're right. I'll have to retrieve what's mine."

"What can we do?" Saphira asked. "We can help you."

"This is my fight," Gold told them.

"All due respect," Mathias told him. "This may have started with you, but Hook has been my problem since I left him on the beanstalk. It's why he went after Belle."

"He wanted to punish Mathias," Tori agreed. "And he's from our past. Not just yours."

"We've dealt with Hook before," Saphira told them. "We can do it again."

Jefferson shrugged. "You want to deal with pirates? You have three pissed off pirates right here. Ones with powers no less."

Lisa realized something. "Hook's the man in the vision. The one I had of Archie being alive."

"So Tori, Saphira and Mathias can deal with Hook," Grace told them. "We can look for Archie. Maybe we can find him."

"What about me?" Belle asked.

"You're gonna go back to the library, lock the door, and wait for us to dispense with this problem," Freya answered.

"And if I don't, what, Priscilla, you, Mathias, Saphira, Rumple, Grace, Lisa or Rumple cast some spell, or Tori and Saphira will sing some Siren song that gives me no choice, and leave with Jefferson?" Belle asked.

Tori gave her sister a look. "No. Belle, please. Hook has maybe cost us the chance of finding Baelfire. I don't want to lose my sister, too."

Gold turned around, picking up his gun. "Here, look, I want you to take this, just in case Hook is stupid enough to come after you again. Point this, pull this trigger, and the gun will do the rest for you."

"All right?" Lisa asked.

"Yeah," Belle answered.

Mathias sighed. "Thank you."

"Let's go," Jefferson told them.

Freya looked at Gold. "Wait. Promise me that you going after Hook is just about getting the shawl back."

Gold didn't answer, leaving the shop. The others sighed, leaving as well.

Flashback 4

Enchanted Forest

Day - Village

Tori was at the well, when the men from the hunting party walked over and cornered her, beginning to push her down the well before she saw what was happening. Tori gasped, holding out her hands to stop from falling into the well.

"The yaoguai wasn't at the lake," Alistair told her.

Tori was breathing heavily. "I'm--I'm sorry. I must've misread that one."

"Hmm, you know what I think happened?" Alistair asked. "I think you sent us in the wrong direction on purpose."

One of nowhere, Mulan entered, in her soldier uniform, pulling Alistair away from Tori. "Let her go."

"This isn't your fight, soldier," Alistair told her, standing, unsheathing a knife. Mulan caught the knife, kicking Alistair in the stomach, making him double over. Alistair slashed toward her. Mulan ducked. Tori used her Siren song to make the men let her go, pushing herself up out of the well before she could fall, turning to kick both of the men to the ground. Mulan punched Alistair in the face, twisting his arm down, flipping him to the ground, losing her helmet in the process. Alistair was surprised to see that she was a girl. "You're a--"

Mulan punched Alistair in the face. "Yeah, I know." She stood, drawing her sword, looking at all of the men. "Go."

All of the men walked away.

Tori approached Mulan. "I, uh, didn't expect to see you again. Thank you."

Mulan sheathed her sword. "I had to put up with brutes like them when I served in the emperor's army, fools who think we have no business holding a sword. I only wish there was someone there to stand up for me. I can only imagine what would be like for you, whatever you are. I'm sorry I called you a monster."

Tori shrugged. "I'm used to it." She looked down, seeing that Mulan's leg was injured. "You're, uh, you're bleeding."

"I'll survive," Mulan told her. "The sun should be setting soon. We need to move out."

"What?" Tori asked in surprise. "What do you mean, we?"

"You tracked the yaoguai in a matter of hours," Mulan told her. "It took me weeks. You track the beast, and I'll kill it. It would be helpful, given your... abilities."

Tori smiled slightly, nodding. "I'd be honored to help you."

Day - Street

Smee was walking through the streets with a duffle bag when his path crossed with Mathias, Tori and Saphira, who cornered him.

Saphira raised her hand toward Smee, using magic to throw him against a brick wall, pinning him. "Leaving town, Mr. Smee? We have a long history. And this is how you repay us?"

Mathias held his hand in a clawed motion toward Smee, using magic to strangle him. "You helped Hook and Maurice go after Belle, two separate times. Tori's sister. Saphira's aunt."

"And Mathias's sister-in-law," Tori finished.

"That object you stole from Rumple?" Saphira asked. "We want it back."

"I gave it to Hook," Smee told them.

"And where is he?" Tori asked.

"I don't know," Smee told them. "We--we met on a rooftop. He didn't tell me anything."

"And why would he?" Mathias asked. "Hook and I have always known exactly what you, Mr. Smee. A sniveling rat."

Mathias and Saphira used fiery orange magic to turn Smee into a rat.

"Now scurry off," Saphira told him.

Rat!Smee scurried off.

"Father and daughter seem to think the same thing," Tori remarked.

Saphira chuckled. "He hurt Aunt Belle before. Helped Hook hurt her again."

"And he always was a coward," Mathias added. "At least we let him live."

Tori smiled slightly. "That is true. Let's go see if Freya, Jefferson, Lisa and Grace have had any better luck."

Harbor

Freya, Jefferson and Lisa arrived to the docks.

Grace popped up behind them. "Lisa, you're sure Hook's ship is here?"

They jumped, turning to give her a look.

"Grace, we told you to go home," Freya told her.

"But I can help," Grace pointed out.

Lisa sighed. "Yes, I know Hook's ship is here. And it has to be where he's keeping Archie."

"Where is it?" Jefferson asked.

Grace discovered three seagulls perching on something invisible. "Guys." They used magic together to reveal the stairway leading onto the boat. "Found you."

They climbed on board, walking through Cora's shield spell, able to see the ship visibly for the first time. They looked at each other, smiling in relief.

The Hatters traveled to the lower deck.

They could hear Archie's voice. "Hello?"

"Archie?" Freya asked.

"Down here!" Archie called. They opened a door to the storage unit where Cora and Killian had been holding Archie hostage. "Freya! Lisa! Oh, thank God. Grace? Jefferson?"

Lisa smiled excitedly. "Archie! I knew you were okay."

"Lisa had a vision of you being alive," Jefferson explained. "We figured you had to be on the ship."

Archie smiled. "Thank God for that. Can--can you, uh..."

Freya used magic to unbind Archie. "Go to the others, tell them what happened."

"Wait," Archie told them. "You're not coming with me?"

"Not yet," Freya answered.

"Go," Lisa told him. "Go, go!"

"Grace, go with him," Jefferson told her.

Grace looked at him. "But Papa..."

Jefferson gave her a look. "There's no time to argue."

"Grace, go," Freya told her.

Grace sighed. "Fine, Mama."

Grace took Archie by the hand, leading him away out of the ship.

Snow and David were doing the dishes.

David saw that Henry and Rose were on the phone. "Who are they calling?"

Snow put the phone on speaker, revealing Henry and Rose were calling Archie's office. "You have reached the office of Archibald Hopper. Sorry if I can't take your call right now. Either I'm with a patient..."

Rose hung up. "Or dead."

"I don't believe that, Rose," Henry told her. "You heard what Freya, Jefferson, Lisa and Grace said. Tori, Saphira and Mathias, too."

Rose sighed. "Henry..."

"I believe Lisa's vision," Henry told her. "She's never been wrong before. You've even said that."

"I want to believe it too, Henry," Rose told him. "I just hope you're right. And she is too."

David walked over to talk to them. "It's okay, guys. Thing'll get better. I promise. You just gotta hang in there."

Rose laid her head down sadly. "Doesn't feel that way." The door creaked open, and Pongo entered. Rose stood in surprise. "Pongo!"

"How did he get in here?" Snow asked.

Emma and Ella walked in.

"We brought him," Ella answered. "Marco, Emma and I had a chat. Archie knew how much Henry and Rose loved this dog. We decided they should have him."

Emma nodded. "That is, if Henry and Rose are up for taking care of him."

"Yeah, we are," Henry answered excitedly. "Until Archie gets back." The adults exchanged a look. "I know you think Lisa's vision was just wishful thinking. But she's never been wrong before. She's not wrong now. Lisa's right. She has to be. Right, Rose?"

"You can only hear Henry say that so many times before you start believing it," Rose answered. "I agree with Henry. Lisa's right. She has to be. That means that Aunt Ally is not losing her mind. And that she did not kill Archie."

"And Aunt Ally is not just our aunt," Henry added. "She's Grace's Aunt Ally too."

"And Freya and Grace and Mr. Gold just found out she's family," Rose told them. "They shouldn't have to lose her already. And if Lisa's right about her vision--"

"Lisa's always right," Henry interjected.

Rose couldn't help a small smile. "And Henry's right about that. It means that they don't have to lose her."

"That's the best that we can hope for," Henry told them. "Right?"

Rose looked at the adults. "Henry and I know you don't believe in our mom or Aunt Ally."

"But even if you don't believe in Mom and Aunt Ally, can't you believe in us?" Henry asked.

"And Freya, Lisa, Jefferson and Grace?" Rose added. "And Tori, Saphira and Mathias?"

"If Tori, Saphira and Mathias can believe Lisa, why can't you?" Henry asked. "It's a lot easier that way. And you should, because it has to be the truth."

"Yeah," Rose agreed. "It has to be."

"Henry, Rose, why don't you take Pongo outside and clean him up?" Emma asked.

"Okay," Henry answered.

Rose led Pongo outside. "Come on, boy."

The two kids ran outside with Pongo.

Emma sighed. "Those kids are so bent on believing Lisa's vision that they don't know if it's real or true."

"Well, I'd like to believe it's true," Ella admitted.

"So do I," Snow agreed. "It means that Alcina's not losing her mind. And it means she didn't kill Archie. And it means that we didn't push her over the edge. And it means that we didn't lose Freya as a friend. For pushing away the half-sister she just found out about. And we didn't lose Jefferson and Grace either."

"Well, you both have to consider the option that Lisa's vision is wrong," Emma told them. "Which means Henry and Rose are gonna have to take care of Pongo."

Ella sighed. "Look, I know there's a lot to work out logistically, but..."

"No," David told them. "I think giving Pongo to Henry and Rose is a great idea. In case Lisa's vision is wrong. It's just six people and a Dalmatian. Things may get a little..."

"Cramped?" Ella finished. "We know. We'll get creative."

Snow looked at David. "Or we could get our own place."

"You wanna do what?" David asked the same time Emma and Ella asked, "You wanna move out?"

Snow chuckled. "Whoa. It's just a suggestion."

"After 28 years, isn't this what we've all been waiting for?" Emma asked. "All of us under the same roof?"

"Yes," Snow answered. "I just imagined a bigger roof with turrets." They laughed. "Being in Storybrooke, we have a chance at a fresh start. Let's take it."

Harbor - Jolly Roger

Freya, Jefferson and Lisa were looking for the shawl.

Killian leaned against the doorway, carrying the shawl. "Looking for this?"

Freya gave him a look. "Killian, I wasn't blaming you for trying to go after my father after what he did to my mother. But I sure as hell blaming you for going after Belle when she has no part in this."

"You seriously want to piss Mathias, Tori and Saphira off like that?" Jefferson asked. "Pirates. But also a Dragon, a Siren, and a Dragon/Siren."

Killian chuckled, shrugging. "Wouldn't be the first time. And you must be Jefferson."

Lisa looked at the shawl. "That doesn't belong to you."

"Oh, it does now, sweet Vasilisa," Killian told her. "That's right, I remember you. Why do you have red hair in this realm when you had white in our world?"

"I don't know," Lisa admitted. "And I don't care."

"Give me my brother's shawl before someone gets hurt," Freya told him.

Killian chuckled. "Dear Priscilla, you have changed so much. The little girl Milah and I knew would never have delved so far into magic or madness or violence." Freya just looked at him, looking a little guilty. "And you're right, someone will get hurt." He pulled Grace out from behind the doorway into the room, putting her between him and the Hatters. "Just not me. You were right to send sweet little Grace away. Real life can get so messy."

They glared at Killian.

Tori and Mulan were walking through the woods.

"It's just ahead," Tori told her.

"You found it," Mulan told her, appreciative. "Your books and smarts serve you well. It's odd, though, considering you don't seem like the book type."

"I never liked books as much as my half-sister Belle does, but I was forced to study them by my stepfather growing up," Tori explained. "Mulan, your leg's getting worse."

"No, I have to protect my village," Mulan told her, but with her next step, she came close to collapsing.

Tori caught Mulan, setting her down against a rock. "You can't even walk. How are you going to kill the yaoguai?"

"I'm not," Mulan answered. "You are."

"Me?" Tori asked. "I'm not a soldier."

"You have good instincts," Mulan told her. "You tracked down the beast faster than I ever could. And whatever you are, Tori, you have gifts that can help you kill it. There was once a time when people thought I didn't have what it took either, but I proved them wrong."

"How?" Tori asked.

"I showed them I had the warrior spirit," Mulan answered. "Once I found something worth fighting for, I fought for it with everything I had. I never gave up. Tori, the fate of my village depends on you. You can prove to everyone that you are not a monster." She handed Tori her sword. "Don't be afraid."

Tori smiled slightly. "For once, I'm not."

Day - Harbor - Jolly Roger

Killian still held Grace between him and the Hatters.

"Hook, don't hurt her," Jefferson told him, barely controlling his anger.

"Oh, I wasn't going to, Jefferson," Killian admitted. "Grace here is the granddaughter to Milah. The same reason I never hurt Priscilla, the daughter of Milah, even though they're just as part of Rumplestiltskin's family as they are Milah's. I'm just making sure that you don't hurt me."

"Let Grace go and we won't," Freya told him.

Grace sent light purple magic, almost a pink color, through her own body to hit Killian in the chest and make him let her go, turning to face him, backing away toward her family. Grace's power was a bit uncontrolled, causing overhead lights shatter and sparks rain down.

Lisa held Grace's hand to help her control it, looking at Killian. "It shouldn't come as much of a shock to learn that Rumple's granddaughter, daughter to Mad Hatter and the Light Witch, and niece to Dark Sorceress, has power."

"Power that is not exactly easy to control given the darkness in our family," Grace added.

Killian was impressed, chuckling. "Not bad, Grace. Tell me something, Priscilla. Did you tell your family everything that happened between Rumple, you and I with Milah? I know you told Jefferson. Did you tell Vasilisa and Grace?"

"Mama told us that Grandma left Grandpa for you because she loved you," Grace answered. "And Grandpa said that she died."

"Died?" Killian repeated. "Oh, so of course the crocodile lied about the horrible part, the most important detail of her passing. And Priscilla and Jefferson left it out to spare the innocence of two little girls."

Freya sighed worriedly. "Killian, don't tell them."

"Priscilla has to live with that every day, but Lisa and Grace shouldn't have to," Jefferson told him.

"No," Killian agreed. "But they deserve to know the truth, don't they, Jefferson?"

"Just give us back the shawl," Jefferson told him. "You didn't burn it because Milah made it, so just give it to Priscilla."

"So you can just run back to the man that killed Milah?" Killian asked. "Ripped out her heart and crushed it right in front of me, in front of Mathias, and in front of Priscilla when she was even younger than Grace and Vasilisa? No thanks, Jefferson."

Jefferson gave him a look of frustration. "Damn it, Hook."

Lisa and Grace were in shock. "No."

"Oh, yes," Killian answered. "He will do anything to hold onto his power. Why do you think anyone who's ever gotten close to him has either run away or been killed? Priscilla has run from him before. That's the reason why she and Jefferson were so dead set on keeping the two of you away from him as much as possible while in the Enchanted Forest."

"They wanted to protect us," Grace told him. "Which is more than you can say."

Lisa took the shawl from Killian in a whirl of white smoke and lights. Freya and Grace used dark and light purple power to push Killian into the wall. The Hatters made their way up to the deck of the ship, but Killian was coming from the other direction.

Lisa looked around in confusion. "How did you..."

"I know the ship like the back of my own..." Killian trailed off when he looked at his hook. "Well, you know. I suggest you give that back to me now."

"Or what?" Freya asked.

"You're gonna gonna do anything to Freya or Grace," Jefferson told him. "You already admitted that much. You're not gonna hurt me or Lisa either."

Gold, Mathias, Tori and Saphira arrived.

"Hook," Mathias told him.

"Hello, Mathias," Killian replied. "Tori, Saphira, long time."

Saphira used magic to push Killian into the ship deck, making him groan in pain. "That was for you going after Aunt Belle."

"A mistake that you would be very wise not to repeat," Tori told him.

Killian chuckled in amusement. "Tori and Saphira still as fiery as ever, I see, isn't that right, Mathias?"

"Unlike you, we still honor some code," Mathias told him. "I might have left you up on the beanstalk, but I had to, for Belle, Tori and Saphira."

"Because Mathias knew that you would go after Belle," Tori told him. "But we've been through too much as a crew, as a team, to kill you."

"Luckily I don't have such reservations," Gold stated.

"You look different in this world, crocodile," Killian told him. "Like the coward I met so long ago. Limp and all."

"And yet, you still can't kill me," Gold replied.

"Let's have it, Dark One," Killian told him. "What magic are you gonna hide behind today?"

"Oh, no, not magic," Gold told him, beginning to use his cane to beat the life out of Killian.

Grace gasped. Freya and Jefferson turned Grace and Lisa away so they wouldn't see, like Mathias had done for Priscilla when she was a girl.

"Rumple!" Saphira told him. "Hey! Let's go. Let's go."

"No, not yet, Saphira," Gold told her.

Lisa held up Baelfire's shawl. "This is what you came for. This is what's gonna get you back to Bae."

"You're wasting your breath," Killian told her. "He can't resist. He has to prove that he's not a coward."

"Freya and Jefferson might wanna keep Grace and Lisa turned away," Gold told them. "This isn't gonna be pretty."

Gold continued his assault on Killian.

Tori was a matter of feet away from the yaoguai, calling out to him. "Over here!" She ran away, knowing the yaoguai would give chase, leading it away from the village, reaching the well, using a sword to cut a cord and dump water all over the yaoguai, dousing the fire encircling his head, using her Siren song to calm it enough to where it wasn't doing much of anything, about to use her sword to kill it when it began to trace something in the dirt with its claw. "You're writing something. Jiu Wo. Save me. You need help." She picked up her pouch of Fairy dust from Dreamy. "Let's, uh, let's give this a try, shall we?"

Tori poured the Fairy dust onto the yaoguai, and it was engulfed in purple smoke. When the smoke cleared, the yaoguai had transformed into Prince Philip.

Philip looked at Tori in shock. "The curse... you broke it."

Tori helped Philip to his feet. "Someone did this to you?"

"Maleficent," Philip answered. "An evil sorceress from my kingdom, determined to do everything in her power to keep me apart from Aurora, my true love. So she exiled me to this land and turned me into a monster. I tried to warn the villagers, but no one understood what I really was. Except you."

"Well, you're not the first beast I've faced," Tori told him. "Admittedly, I might have a little beast inside me."

"I am forever in your debt," Philip told her. "Please tell me how I might repay you."

Tori smiled slightly. "My friend's hurt. She needs a doctor. As do you. Help me bring her back to the village."

Philip nodded in agreement. "It would be my honor."

Killian was still being assaulted by Gold. "Do it. Do it! Kill me." He looked at the others. "He has to show you how powerful he is."

"No, Rumple, this is what he wants," Tori told him. "To destroy whatever good you may or may not have in you."

"Rip my heart out," Killian told him. "Kill me like you did Milah, and I'll finally be reunited with her."

"He has to die," Gold told them, lounging himself onto Killian to rip out his heart.

Mathias magically pulled Gold away from him. "No! No, he doesn't."

"There's still good in you, Grandpa," Grace told him. "I see it."

"Grace and I see it," Lisa told him.

"I see it," Freya told him, which caused Gold to hesitate because Freya had always seen the bad in him and she had seen him do his worst. "Belle's seen it."

"Please," Grace told him. "Grandpa!"

"Show Freya, Grace, Lisa and Belle they're not wrong," Jefferson told him.

"Show Jefferson he's not wrong," Tori told him.

Gold started to back away.

Saphira turned to Killian. "You take your little ship and sail until you don't see us behind you. Never return."

"If you do?" Tori asked. "We won't be able to stop Rumple then."

"One last deed to an old friend," Mathias told him. "Pray that we never see you again."

Mathias pushed Killian toward the wheel of the ship.

Lisa sighed in relief. "Let's go."

Granny's Diner

Snow and David were looking at houses.

"I really liked this one," Snow told him.

"I don't know," David admitted. "The yard looks kinda small."

"You gonna say that about every house we look at?" Snow teased.

David chuckled. "I grew up on a farm."

Snow looked at him knowingly. "This isn't about the houses, is it?"

David sighed. "We buried a friend this morning, Mary Margaret. We had to lock Alcina up. On her quest. So that she didn't hurt anyone else. And she made us promise not to tell Freya. Or Regina. Or Lisa. Jefferson. Grace. Or anyone. And it made me realize, I don't wanna die here."

"But our home, David?" Snow asked. "It doesn't exist anymore. The ogres are back. Cora's in power..."

"Which is exactly why we need to return," David told her. "To make things right. To fight."

"I'm tired of fighting," Snow admitted. "It's all we've ever done. We have a chance here, a chance to be together."

"But what if we don't belong here?" David asked. "Isn't it worth it to fight for what we really want?"

Snow considered this. "Unless we don't want the same thing."

Charming Apartment

Henry and Rose were drawing with Pongo at their feet. Emma and Ella walked in.

"Plotting your escape from Shawshank, kids?" Emma asked.

"No, they're blueprints," Henry answered. "We had some ideas about what to do if Mary Margaret and David move out. Look."

"You wanna make Mary Margaret's room an armory?" Ella asked.

"Yeah, you know, for weapons and stuff," Rose answered. "To protect us. From whoever killed a body and made it look like Archie."

Emma sighed. "Henry? Rose? I know you wanna believe Lisa's vision..."

"Emma doesn't believe it," Ella explained. "She thinks it's just hopeful wishing. But I believe it. Okay?"

"Mary Margaret and David wanna believe it, too," Emma told them. "But sooner or later, you're gonna have to face the truth."

"And what if this is the truth, Emma?" Ella asked. There was a knock on the door. Pongo whimpered. "Pongo?" Ella opened the door. Archie walked in. "Archie?"

"Hi," Archie told them.

"What happened?" Emma asked.

"It was Cora," Archie answered. "She kidnapped me."

Henry and Rose smiled excitedly when they saw him. "Archie!"

Archie smiled. "Henry. Rose." The two kids ran closer to hug him. "It's all right, I'm fine."

"Henry?" Emma asked. "Rose? Ella? I'll be the first one to admit I was wrong. Lisa was right."

Ella smiled. "We told you. Alcina didn't do it. Regina didn't do it either. Freya, Jefferson, Lisa, Grace, Tori, Saphira and Mathias were right."

Henry smiled. "I knew it!"

"Maybe we should let them know," Rose told them.

"Yeah," Emma agreed.

Ella sighed. "Something tells me either way, we're gonna pay the price."

Night - Town Line

The Hatters and the Matthews met up at the town line.

Gold and Belle were driving their way up to them.

Gold looked at Belle. "This would have been lost, if it wasn't for Freya, Jefferson, Lisa and Grace. I would've been lost. Belle, after everything you've learned about me, after everything I've done, even to my family, why haven't you given up on me?"

Belle took a deep breath. "I learned a long time ago, that when you find something that's worth fighting for, you never give up."

They both smiled.

Tori and Philip were walking through the woods, where Mulan was waiting.

"My friend's over that ridge," Tori explained. Mulan was reading Tori's book. "There she is."

Mulan stood, limping over to them. "Tori! Oh, you're alive."

"And I did it," Tori told her. "I defeated the yaoguai, with a little help."

Mulan noticed Philip behind Tori. "Who are you?"

"I was the yaoguai," Philip answered.

Mulan was confused, turning to Tori.

"He was cursed," Tori explained. "So I helped him, and now he's going to help you."

"What, you're not coming?" Mulan asked.

"I have to get back to my sister," Tori explained, giving Mulan her sword back. Mulan returned Tori's book. "Goodbye, Mulan."

"Goodbye, Tori," Mulan replied.

Tori walked off.

Philip held out his hand for Mulan to shake. "We haven't been properly introduced. My name's Philip."

Mulan shook his hand. "Mulan."

Night - Town Line

Freya and Jefferson poured the potion on their wedding rings so they could leave town without losing their memories, using the same potion to enchanted one of the dolls left to Lisa by her real father, and a necklace that Grace always wore that was given to her by her parents, and finally Baelfire's shawl for Gold. The magic visible washed through the items so they were now enchanted to protect them.

Belle placed the shawl on Gold's shoulders. "Okay."

"Here we go," Freya told them.

The Hatters and Gold crossed the town line, while the Matthews and Belle nervously looked on.

Lisa smiled. "It's okay."

Saphira was surprised, impressed. "It worked."

"Yes, it did," Jefferson agreed, laughing.

Mathias smiled. "It did."

"Now go find Baelfire," Belle told them. "Reunite your family. Tori, Saphira and Mathias can deal with the town."

"Oh, Belle, I so wish you were coming with," Gold told her.

"As do I, but it doesn't matter," Belle told him.

"Because you'll find him, and when you do, we'll be here waiting for you when you get back," Tori told them.

Grace smiled. "Good luck protecting the city."

"And call us if you hear anything from Alcina," Freya told them. "If she shows up after the news of Archie being alive."

"Aunt Ally's innocent," Grace told them. "And now everyone knows that."

"Just let us know if you see her," Jefferson told them. "We can deal with the rest when we get back."

Saphira nodded. "Of course."

Mathias felt something wrong. "Wait. Something's wrong."

"What?" Lisa asked. "What's wrong?"

"Mathias?" Tori asked.

Mathias and Saphira sensed something coming, turning around to use magic as a shield against two bullets fired at them by Killian that he used as a distraction, also distracting them by shooting at Tori, who used her psychic Siren powers to block the bullet in the air. Killian was distracting them so he could fire at Gold, hitting Belle in the shoulder, pushing her across the town line. The Hatters, Gold and the Matthews were in complete shock and horror, overcome with worry.

"Belle?" Gold asked worriedly. "Belle!"

"Belle!" Tori told her worriedly, unable to cross over town line to get to her sister without losing her memory.

"Who's Belle?" Belle asked.

Saphira was horrified and heartbroken. "Oh, no. No, no!"

Freya, Jefferson, Lisa and Grace were stunned into complete silence and horror.

"Oh, fear not, she'll live," Killian told them. "She'll just have no idea who you are."

Gold glared at him furiously. "What you have done cannot be undone!"

"Well, now you finally know how it feels," Killian replied. Tori, Saphira and Mathias turned to Killian in furious betrayal, despaired. "Well, go ahead, Matthews. Do your worst."

Gold stood. "Oh, I intend to."

Saphira created a fireball out of Dragon and Siren powers, preparing to launch it. Mathias and Saphira hit Killian with power at the same time, sending him flying to the ground, knocking him out when a car drove up, almost flattening Belle, but Gold, Freya, Jefferson, Grace and Lisa pulled her out of the way into safety, unable to use magic outside the town line. Saphira, Tori and Mathias dove out of the way before they could be hit by the car, which crashed right next to the three Matthews, who looked at the car in disbelief, which had a Pennsylvania license plate reading 2KFL-138.
