chapter 2 - Lost Girl

From 2.22 "And Straight On Till Morning", on the harbor, Killain sailed the Jolly Roger into the portal. As they disappeared into it, the waters of the harbor were once again still.

Freya/Priscilla: (voice over) "Previously on Worlds Colliding (Once Upon a Time)."

From 3.01 "Heart, Body and Soul", on the island, Felix looked at Freya, Jefferson, Lisa and Gold. "Pan is excited to see you all."

"He doesn't know me," Lisa told him. "Or Priscilla. Or Jefferson."

Freya shrugged. "I know Papa knows him. I've never met him."

"If you're here for the children, you will not survive," Felix warned.

Gold grabbed Felix. "The question is how many of you I take with me?"

Felix threw a straw doll on the ground. Gold slowly knelt down, picking it up, starting to cry.

"Isn't it funny the things we haven't thought about in years still have the ability to make us cry?" Felix asked.

From 3.01 "Heart, Body and Soul", on the island, Freya looked at the group. "Either help us get Henry, Rose and Grace back or get out of the way."

Night - Island

Gold conjured a fireball to start a campfire, freezing his shadow on a large rock, using his dagger to cut his shadow from his feet. "You know what to do. Hide it where no one can find it. Not even me."

The shadow flew away with Gold's dagger.

Jungle

The rest of the heroes were trekking through the jungle.

"The ridge is just a few hundred paces up ahead," Mathias explained.

"You really think we're gonna be able to see Pan's hideout?" Alcina asked.

"From there?" Saphira asked. "We should be able to see everything. Including where he's keeping Henry, Rose and Grace."

"You know, Saphira, Mathias, Alcina, Freya and I could have just poofed us up here in an instant," Regina told them.

"Where?" Tori asked. "Have you any idea what's up here? Or anywhere?"

"There are dangers all about," Mathias told them. "Only we can guide us past them."

"How about flying, then?" Alcina asked. "Saphira and Mathias Dragon up and fly us in."

"Too dangerous when the lost boys and Pan could see us coming literally a mile away in the sky," Mathias answered. "Dragons aren't exactly low profile. Are they?"

"They're right," Freya told them. "Tori, Saphira and Mathias have lived on the actual island before. If the Matthews say hiding up is the best way, then we listen."

Snow handed water to Emma and Ella. "Here. You need to stay hydrated."

"Thanks, Mary Margaret," Emma told her.

Snow nodded awkwardly. "You know, 'Mary Margaret' is a bit formal. You could call me 'Mom' if you want. You've done it before."

"That was back when we..." Emma trailed off.

"We were about to die," Snow finished. "Oh, no, I get it."

In the lead, David was cutting down branches blocking their pathway, seeing a patch of thorns, moving to slash them.

Tori stopped him. "No. No!"

"I can handle a couple of thorns, Tori," David told her.

"That's dreamshade," Saphira explained. "It's not the thorns you have to worry about. It's the poison they inject you with."

Killian pointed at the dreamshade. "This plant is the source of the toxins I used on the Dark One."

"The poison that almost killed Rumple?" Jefferson asked.

"Indeed," Killian answered.

"You must've used a concentrated dose," Saphira told him. "In its natural form? Death would be much slower."

"And far more painful," Tori added. "I suggest we go this way."

David led the group in the opposite direction. "No, we'll go this way."

Killian and Ella were following the others.

"Your father's a distrustful fellow," Killian remarked.

"He's just not used to working with the bad guys like you," Ella told him.

"I can assure you, on this island, I am not the bad guy," Killian told her.

"Yeah, well, Pan's not supposed to be one either," Ella replied.

"What possibly gave you that idea?" Killian asked.

"Every story I ever heard as a child," Ella answered.

"Well, they got it all wrong," Killian told her. "Pan is the most treacherous villain I've ever faced. Tell me something, love, in these stories, what was I like, other than a villain? Handsome, I gather."

Ella smirked. "If waxed mustaches and perms are your thing."

Ella walked ahead of him.

Killian frowned in confusion. "I take it by your tone, perms are bad?"

"Up here," Jefferson told them. "We made it."

"Pan's lair should be just right..." Mathias trailed off.

"Where?" Regina asked. "All I see is jungle."

"Aye," Mathias agreed. "The Dark Jungle."

"It's, uh, grown so much since we last stepped foot in Neverland," Tori explained.

Emma sighed. "So this nature hike was for nothing."

"Tori, Saphira and Mathias may have led us astray," David told them, not noticing the looks he got from them because he was the one that led them the wrong way, not them. "But at least we're in a good position to start combing the jungle."

"Not exactly," Tori told them. "The Dark Jungle's the last place you wanna set foot."

"We'll have to go around it," Saphira told them. "In order to do that, we're gonna need our strength."

"I suggest we make camp," Mathias told them.

"You wanna sleep while our kids are out there suffering?" Regina asked.

"If we want to live long enough to save them?" Mathias asked. "Yes."

Alcina noticed both her half-sisters were freaking out, sitting beside Regina and Freya. "Gina? Cilla? You okay?"

"Regina's right, Ally," Freya told her. "Henry, Rose and Grace are out there somewhere."

"And Tori, Mathias and Saphira are right," Emma told them. "We have to survive if we're going to get to them."

Jefferson sighed worriedly. "I know. I just hope we're not too late."

David looked at Emma and Ella. "After everything your mother and I have been through, there's one thing we've learned. It is never too late."

Lisa was sitting alone, having not been speaking because she was gazing off worriedly in silence. Freya and Jefferson sat next to her, wrapping an arm around her. Lisa looked at them, managing a small smile, but was more worried than anything, gazing off.

Flashback 1

Enchanted Forest

Day - Dark Palace

This was immediately after the events of flashbacks when Evil Queen and Dark Sorceress had put Snow under the sleeping curse and taken Priscilla along with Vasilisa, after David had awoken Snow with true love's kiss. A guard rushed through the palace, carrying a mirror channeling the Magic Mirror.

"Careful!" Magic Mirror told him. "If you drop me, I'll make sure you have 14 years of bad luck."

"We told you never to disturb us out here," Dark Sorceress told him.

"Trust me, I haven't disturbed you yet," Magic Mirror told them. "Just wait until you see this."

Magic Mirror showed them David waking up Snow.

"He woke her?" Evil Queen asked.

Priscilla smiled smugly in relief, laughing. "True love's kiss apparently can break any curse."

Dark Sorceress turned to give Priscilla a look.

Vasilisa smiled knowingly. "That will be one hell of a wedding. There won't be a dry eye in the entire realm."

Evil Queen glared at Vasilisa and Priscilla for their laughing and smiling. "Quiet!"

They heard Snow's voice from the Magic Mirror. "Let's take back the kingdom."

Priscilla looked at Evil Queen and Dark Sorceress tauntingly. "If anyone can do it, it's Snow and Charming."

Dark Sorceress gave her a cold look. "We'll see about that."

Flashback 2

Village

Snow, David and the dwarfs were rallying a group of commoners.

Snow was giving a speech. "The Evil Queen and Dark Sorceress murdered my father, put me under a sleeping curse, but I am not the only one they have made suffer. They've terrorized us for far too long. This kingdom doesn't belong to them, it belongs to us! So who is ready to stand beside me and fight for what's rightfully ours?"

Even though the crowd had been giving encouraging 'yeah's after everything Snow had said before that, they fell silent now. Evil Queen and Dark Sorceress appeared behind them, with Vasilisa and Priscilla behind them.

"Quite the courageous army you're building," Dark Sorceress told them sarcastically.

The townspeople fled in fright while Snow and her entourage did not move.

"They may be afraid of you, but we are not," Snow replied.

"Why?" Evil Queen asked. "Because you and the shepherd broke our sleeping curse?"

Snow and David drew their swords at Evil Queen and Dark Sorceress. Dark Sorceress used Vasilisa's control against her to make her obey her command.

Vasilisa fought it hard but had no choice but to magically bind David with a rope. "Lucky for you, they didn't come here to fight. They came to offer you a deal. Consider it an engagement present."

"Snow, don't listen to a single word," David warned.

"Are you really gonna marry that?" Dark Sorceress asked.

"What do you want?" Snow asked.

"You to give up your claim to the throne," Evil Queen answered. "If you declare me the rightful ruler of this land, we'll let you, the dwarfs, and your so-called prince escape back to the sheep farm he once called home. We'll even consider letting Priscilla and Vasilisa go undamaged, and return Jefferson and Grace to them."

"Exile?" Priscilla asked incredulously.

Evil Queen shrugged. "Well, I've tried to kill them. Ally and I've tried to curse her, and none of its worked. But then Alcina made me realize I was going about it all wrong."

"I told Regina that Snow needed to be alive," Dark Sorceress explained. "She needed to be awake."

"So she can spend all her days knowing that we have taken everything that was supposed to be hers," Evil Queen told them. "Now get down on your knees and swear on your father's grave that this kingdom belongs to me."

"And if I don't?" Snow asked.

"Well, then someone will pay the price," Evil Queen told her. "Vasilisa..."

Vasilisa shook her head, desperately fighting, but couldn't fight the control, as she was forced to use magic to life a female villager into the air and choke her. "Regina, stop! Don't make me do this."

Priscilla used a burst of her power to throw into Evil Queen to make her stop, making her lose control on Vasilisa for a split second, allowing the female villager to breathe again and almost fall, but Priscilla and Vasilisa caught her with magic, gently putting her down. Vasilisa freed David from his binds so he could aid the villager.

"Is she okay?" Priscilla asked.

"Yeah," David answered.

"Next time she won't be," Evil Queen told them. "You have until sundown tomorrow to give up the throne, and for every day that you defy me, I will kill one of your loyal subjects. Stop denying who you are, Snow White. You may have been a princess, but you will never be a queen."

Now

Neverland

Night - Island

The sound of crying children woke Lisa from her sleep.

Lisa looked around at the others, but they didn't seem to hear it. "Guys, wake up."

When they didn't wake up, Lisa stood, trekking into the jungle alone, following the sound of the crying children.

Peter appeared behind her. "You hear that, too?" Lisa turned to face him, startled. "You're Vasilisa, right? I wonder why they can't hear the crying."

"Who are you?" Lisa asked.

Peter feigned embarrassment. "Oh, did I forget to introduce myself? I'm Peter. Peter Pan."

Lisa used magic to push Peter against a tree instantly, magically binding him with tree vines and leaves from the tree behind him. "Where are Henry, Rose and Grace?"

Peter smiled. "You've got fire, Light Bringer. I like fire."

"Where are they?" Lisa repeated forcefully.

"Grace, Henry and Rose are still alive, if that's what you're wondering," Peter told her.

"Why the hell did you take them?" Lisa asked.

"They're very special kids, Lisa, just like you," Peter answered.

"I know, but that doesn't answer my question," Lisa told him. "What do you want with them?"

Peter chuckled, looking at the vines and leaves that Lisa had used to trap him. "I came here to see who I was up against. The Light Bringer. Gotta say, I'm not disappointed. Also have to say that I'm kind of disappointed that I didn't get the chance to meet the Dark Being yet. You've heard the prophecies of the Light Bringer and Dark Being, right? Some say the Dark Being is something you're supposed to fight against, others say it's a force to help you fight against something else. How knows the truth these days? You don't, do you?"

"I know of the Dark Being, I don't know who he is," Lisa answered. "What do you say now? You're gonna tell me how I'm never gonna see Henry, Grace and Rose again?"

"No," Peter answered. "I'm going to help you find them. I'll give you a map." He gestured to the vines and leaves with his eyes. "May I?" Knowing that he wasn't going to give her the map until she let him go, Lisa made the vines and leaves release him, but was ready to trap him again in case he tried anything. Peter pushed away from the tree, taking out a parchment. "A map that will lead you straight to them."

"If this is some kind of trap..." Lisa trailed off.

Peter chuckled. "I may not be the most well-behaved boy on the island, but I always keep my promises. The path to finding Henry, Rose and Grace is on this parchment."

"Why are you giving it to me?" Lisa asked.

"See, it's not about finding Grace, Rose and Henry, it's about how you find them," Peter told her. "And, Lisa, you are the only one who can."

Lisa opened the parchment to reveal a blank map. "It's blank."

Peter smirked. "You'll only be able to read the map when you stop denying who you really are."

Lisa frowned in confusion, looking at the blank map. When she looked up, Peter had disappeared. Lisa looked around for him, but he was gone.

ღღ

Camp

Lisa had come back to the camp to tell the others what Peter had told her as she studied the blank map.

"He so likes his games," Saphira told them.

"What game?" Ella asked. "There's nothing there."

"If he said there's a map on this parchment, then there is," Tori told them.

"Great," Emma told them. "So if Lisa just stops denying who she really is, whatever that means, then we'll be able to read this thing."

"But how do we know Pan won't use it to lead us straight into a trap?" Alcina asked.

"Because he doesn't need to," Tori answered. "This whole island's his bloody trap."

David and Snow came back from searching the jungle.

"There's no sign of him anywhere," David told them.

"Any luck with the map?" Snow asked.

"Don't hold your breath," Regina told them.

"What's that supposed to mean?" Jefferson asked.

"Don't you see what he's doing?" Regina asked. "Every second we spend talking about this is another second we're not looking for Henry, Rose and Grace."

"You got a better idea?" Ella asked.

"Magic," Regina answered. Everyone was annoyed at Regina's inability to understand that they couldn't use magic without being caught. Jefferson rolled his eyes, hanging his head, banging it lightly on his arm. "If there's a lock on there, I'll find a way around it."

"Pan said it had to be Lisa," Jefferson told her.

"I'd listen to Jefferson, love," Killian told her. "Breaking Pan's rules would be unwise."

"Sadly, I agree with Hook," Mathias told them.

Killian looked at the three Matthews smugly. "I'm winning you three back over, I can feel it. Are we to be friends again?"

Tori, Saphira and Mathias gave him an unamused look.

"If you somehow made up for what you did to Belle, maybe," Tori answered. "Don't hold your breath. You won't be able to hold it as long as Saphira and I can."

Saphira and Mathias smirked.

"And your magic doesn't exactly have a gentle touch, Regina," Alcina told her. "Use it on the map? It might blow up in all our faces."

"Well, that's a risk I'm willing to take," Regina replied.

Alcina stood. "Well, we're not. If Lisa's the one who's supposed to figure out this thing? We need to let her do what Pan said, Regina."

"Great," Ella told them.

Freya sat next to Lisa comfortingly. "She'll get there. Hey. Don't give up."

"He's playing a game," Jefferson told her. "You can win. You always do. No matter how long it takes."

Lisa managed a small smile at the faith and belief that Freya and Jefferson had in her even when in moments like these she didn't believe much in herself.

Flashback 3

Enchanted Forest

Day - Village

Snow, David and the dwarfs were discussing their options.

"We can't win," Snow told them. "We have to leave the kingdom."

"How can you even consider giving in to two witches?" David asked. "When you're gone, do you think they're suddenly gonna let Vasilisa and Priscilla go, let them reunite with Jefferson and Grace and stop menacing this land? And who will protect the people then?"

"Did I protect them today?" Snow asked. "I couldn't even help that poor girl. And don't kid yourself. They aren't gonna stop with the peasants. They're going to come after the people who are closest to me. They already did that by taking Priscilla along with Vasilisa and God knows what they did to Jefferson and Grace."

"I will stand by your side no matter what," Grumpy told her.

"Even if it means our death," Happy agreed.

"Which it probably will," Sleepy told them.

Everyone looked at him in bewilderment.

David looked at Snow. "You can't let them get into your head."

"They have a point," Snow told him. "I'm no queen. I'm no leader. I'm just a girl who lost her parents, ran away into the woods and became a bandit."

"You're Snow White," David reminded her.

"Yes, and the truth is, I don't even know who that is," Snow admitted. "But I know what I don't wanna be, and that's alone."

David shook his head. "That's never gonna happen."

"You're right," Snow told him. "If we take their offer, we can all live together in exile, but at least we'll be alive. We should leave tomorrow."

Snow stood to walk away.

David started to go after her. "Snow!"

Grumpy stopped him. "Let her go."

David turned to the dwarfs. "This is her kingdom, with Priscilla and Vasilisa's lives and freedom on the line. Not to mention Jefferson and Grace's. We can't just let her walk away from that."

"She's walking away from it to make sure they live," Grumpy told him. "And why do you suddenly care so much about saving Snow's kingdom?"

"What do you mean?" David asked.

"Well, if you have true love, what difference does it make whether you live in a castle or on a farm?" Grumpy asked.

"Wait, you think I'm in this for her crown?" David asked.

Grumpy shrugged. "You said it, not me."

David sighed. "Okay. Okay, I get it, I'm new, but trust me, I'm in this to save Priscilla and Vasilisa, who have both helped me in ways I can't even say, and help them save Jefferson and Grace, and I know what's best for Snow."

"Look, handsome, she may love you, but that chiseled chin ain't fooling us," Grumpy told him. "We got our eyes on you."

"Are you dwarfs with me or against me?" David asked.

"I think Grumpy was pretty clear," Sneezy told him.

"Sorry, brother," Grumpy told him. "I wanna help Priscilla, Jefferson, Grace and Vasilisa as much as you do because Priscilla's been like a sister to us, but we don't want to get them hurt or worse. Snow's already made up her mind, so if you're looking to change it, you gotta do it without our help."

David nodded. "Then I'll find another way."

Woods

David walked alone through the woods, calling out. "Vasilisa! Priscilla!"

Vasilisa and Priscilla appeared. It was clearer in moments like these that Priscilla was suffering from the shared madness with Jefferson that got worse when they were apart. (explained in 2.19 Lacey flashbacks). Though Priscilla could control it.

Priscilla gave him a look. "You call us again so soon after the confrontation with Regina and Alcina? Are you trying to get yourself killed?"

"I'm trying to save you, Jefferson and Grace," David answered. "Long ago, you both made Snow remember who she was when a spell blinded her. I need you to do it again."

Vasilisa tilted her head thoughtfully. Priscilla sighed.

Gold was gazing at the doll given to him by Felix when he hear someone in the jungle, putting down the doll, standing. "Who's there? Show yourself." A cloaked figure grabbed the doll, fleeing. "That doesn't belong to you, dearie." He chased the culprit, catching them, removing their hood, surprised to see that it was Belle. "Belle?"

ღღ

Gold was completely confused. "Belle, I don't understand. How did you get here?"

"I thought you didn't dress like that anymore," Belle told him. "I thought that was your past."

"Well, this is now my future," Gold told her. "Becoming this again, the Dark One, that's the only way I'll save my grandchildren."

"But you haven't completely become him, have you?" Belle asked. "There's still hope."

Belle leaned in to kiss him.

Gold broke it off. "You're not really here, are you?"

"No, of course not," Belle answered. "I'm still in Storybrooke, right where you left me."

"Are you okay?" Gold asked. "Did the protection spell work?"

Belle nodded. "It--it did. We're all fine. Storybrooke's safe. We all are."

"How do I know these aren't just lies meant to lead me astray?" Gold asked. "How do I know Pan didn't conjure up a vision of you?"

"He didn't, you did," Belle told him.

"What?" Gold asked.

Belle chuckled. "The question is why."

Flashback 4

Day - Woods

Vasilisa was pacing around, using magic to make flowers bloom and grow beautifully. "You have no idea how long it's been since I've been able to use my power for something pure and peaceful like this."

"Vasilisa, Priscilla, please," David told them. "You must have something that can change Snow's mind."

Priscilla turned to face him. "If she doesn't wanna fight Regina and Alcina, there's nothing we can do to change that."

"I just need a way to make her believe in something that I already know," David told them. "That she can face Regina and Alcina and win, that she can save you, Jefferson and Grace."

Vasilisa chuckled at his silliness, amused. "Magic can't make someone believe, David. It works the other way around. Belief must come from within. You know, the Queen and Sorceress's offer was a fair one. Do yourself a favor and take it."

Priscilla tilted her head. "Ruling a kingdom is not all it's cracked up to be. Just ask your dear old brother. Oh, wait, he died. You see my point?"

David was confused. "You don't want us to fight the Queen and Sorceress. Do you?"

"No," Vasilisa answered. "We want you all to survive, and if you fight, you have very little change of surviving. We know you're trying to save us, but we don't want to be saved if it means that everyone we care about will die."

Priscilla sighed. "And Alcina, she's kind to us, she makes sure that Regina doesn't hurt us badly. That's why I like it better when Alcina is around, she's not as bad as her."

"That doesn't matter," David told them. "I didn't come here to take 'no' for an answer. Now you must have something. You always do. Just tell me and I'll do whatever it takes. I owe you everything, Vasilisa, you and Priscilla, and I will repay that debt by helping you to freedom, and helping you both find and save Jefferson and Grace."

Vasilisa was very touched to hear this, chuckling lightly, looking at Priscilla. Priscilla was still cautious, but was just as touched.

Snow was practicing her archery when David returned, failing to hit the target.

"Save those arrows for the Queen and Sorceress," David told her.

Snow sighed. "I told you, I've already made up my mind. We're leaving, so that Priscilla and Vasilisa don't get hurt any more, and neither will Jefferson and Grace."

"Not when you hear what Vasilisa and Priscilla had to say," David told her.

"You called them after so soon after what happened?" Snow asked. "Are you mad?"

David chuckled. "Priscilla said something quite like that to me when I called, but she and Vasilisa have helped us in the past, so we owe it to them to get Jefferson and Grace back. You promised to help get Grace and Jefferson back. Without their help, you'd have killed the Queen and Sorceress a long time ago and would have lost yourself to darkness. And they've done so many other great, wonderful things, even though Priscilla lost control to some inner demon of hers a lot."

"What did they say this time?" Snow asked.

"They told me of a legend, a magical weapon, one that can help you reclaim your kingdom," David told her.

"Unless they can guarantee more lives won't be lost, I'm not interested," Snow told him.

"Weapon's only a half day's right from here," David told her. "We can be there before sundown."

"This weapon, you say it will help me defeat Regina and Alcina?" Snow asked. "How?"

David helped Snow aim her bow and arrow. "By showing them who you really are."

Snow let another arrow fly, hitting the center of the target.

Lisa was holding the map, trying to 'stop denying who she really was', while the others were giving her suggestions on what to say.

"Your name is Vasilisa," Emma told her. "Otherwise known as Lisa."

"I'd wager the solution to Pan's riddle is a bit more complicated than that," Tori told them.

Snow sighed. "Don't hold anything back. You're a student at Storybrooke Elementary."

"Or you used to be," David corrected. "Before you decided the Light Bringer didn't need anymore knowledge than she already had."

Lisa looked up, smirking sarcastically.

"You used to live in the Enchanted Forest," Ella told her. "You now live in Storybrooke. And now you're the adoptive part of the Hatter family."

"You couldn't ever really adopt someone in the Enchanted Forest," David explained.

"And it's kind of useless for fairy tale characters to adopt other fairy tale characters where she doesn't even have a birth certificate in another world that is not their own," Alcina added.

"Are we really doing this?" Regina asked.

"Don't you think maybe we're leaving some things out?" Emma asked.

"Her mother abandoned her when she was a baby," Jefferson explained. "Her father and stepmother died when she was so young she can barely remember them."

"We don't know where she was really born," Freya added. "We don't know anything about her real family, actually. But she learned she was a pure and unique creature that could see past and future through strikes of matches who could grant wishes at will." She gave Regina a look. "But could be controlled and nearly killed if someone overused her power."

"I never overused her power enough to make her sick or nearly dead," Regina replied. "That was the guy who controlled her before I did, the warlock you, Jefferson and Grace saved her from, Freya."

"But you did use her to create the Curse," David pointed out. "Which made her the only one able to break it. And all of this is possible because she's the..."

Lisa looked up.

"Come on," Snow told her. "You don't need to be embarrassed to say it."

"Say what?" Killian asked.

"The 'LB' word," Alcina answered.

"Well, technically it's two words," Saphira corrected.

"Lisa's never said she's the Light Bringer?" Tori asked.

"Not from I remember," Alcina answered.

"I think everyone else was saying it," Ella agreed.

"It's okay, Lisa," Mathias told her.

Lisa took a deep breath, looking at the paper. "I'm the Light Bringer."

The parchment remained blank.

"I don't get it," Emma told them. "She said she's the Light Bringer. We've said everything that's happened to Lisa."

"No, it's okay," Snow told them. "We'll figure it out."

Regina took the parchment from Lisa. "No, you won't."

Alcina stood. "Regina."

"But I can," Regina told them.

"I'm beginning to think there isn't a map on here," Ella admitted. "That doesn't mean it can't lead us to Henry, Rose and Grace."

"I thought we decided that using magic was a bad idea," Saphira told them.

"We did," Tori agreed.

"Like old times, I agree with the Matthews," Killian told them. Tori, Saphira and Mathias looked at him. Killian smirked smugly, innocently. "Well, I told you we're getting along again. Hard to not forgive your old friends, isn't it?"

"Say that again?" Saphira asked, leaning closer to whisper mockingly. "I'll burn you."

Tori and Mathias smirked smugly. "That's my girl."

The Matthews exchanged a look, smiling. Regina used magic on the map.

"What the hell are you doing?" David asked.

"Locator spell," Alcina answered for her. "The parchment belonged to Pan. It'll lead us to him."

Regina cast the spell on the parchment, which started to glow as it headed into the Dark Jungle.

"So it appears we'll be venturing into the Dark Jungle after all," Jefferson told them.

"You mean the place Tori, Saphira and Mathias told us never to set foot in?" Freya asked sarcastically.

Jefferson nodded in agreement, just as sarcastic. "That's the one."

"Well, Matthews, Freya pointed out you're the most fit to lead us," David told them. "Lead."

Without hesitation, the three Matthews led the others into the Dark Jungle.

Cliff

Gold and Belle walked to the cliff.

"So do you know why you brought me to the island?" Belle asked.

"I thought you were gonna show me the answer," Gold answered.

"Only you know that," Belle told him.

"I've already told you," Gold told her.

"No, you haven't," Belle corrected.

Gold sighed. "I have no idea."

"Yes, you do," Belle told him.

Gold shook his head. "No."

"You're holding back," Belle told him.

"I'm not," Gold disagreed.

"You are," Belle replied.

Gold was getting irritated. "Belle."

"What is it you're not saying?" Belle asked.

"I'm a coward," Gold answered. "I'm just like my father."

"You feel better now, don't you?" Belle asked. "You know why I'm here."

"You always saw the good in me," Gold told her.

Belle nodded. "I still do, and as much as you deny it. I think you see it too. So why am I here? What are you wrestling with?"

Gold sighed. "Pan offered me, Lisa, Freya and Jefferson a deal; we let him keep Henry, Rose and Grace, and he allows us to live, and of course Freya, Jefferson and Lisa would never accept the deal, but I? It would mean the children needn't be my undoing."

Belle nodded knowingly. "And you're afraid you'll make a selfish choice."

"I generally do," Gold pointed out.

"You abandoned your son, Baelfire, chose magic over your daughter, Priscilla her entire life, and you've done nothing but manipulate and disappoint Alcina since you found out she is also your daughter, and before you found out, and regretted it your whole life," Belle told him. "Magic has also turned you against Jefferson repeatedly. To the point where you've nearly killed Jefferson when he was a boy. You don't need to do the same to Henry, Rose and Grace. Letting go of the past, it's the first step."

Gold showed her the straw doll. "You know, this was the last thing my father gave me."

"And what happened to him?" Belle asked.

"He left me," Gold answered.

"If you don't want to repeat the mistakes he made, you need to let go," Belle told him, departing from the cliff.

Gold was left alone with the straw doll, and he made the decision to drop the doll off the cliff.

Dark Jungle

The others were following the map.

"Ready to thank me?" Regina asked.

"Actually, yeah," Emma answered.

"If you'd let me do it sooner, maybe we'd have found them by now," Regina told them.

Mathias stopped walking. "Wait. He's there."

"Pan?" Tori asked.

Mathias nodded. "I can feel his smugness."

Ella pulled out the sword Killian have given her, that had belonged to Neal. "Shall we? While we still have the element of surprise on our side?"

"Careful," Saphira warned. "He may look like a boy, but he's a bloody demon."

Freya prepared to use magic, looking at Lisa. "Hey. We can do this. You can do this."

Lisa nodded.

Enchanted Forest

Day - Woods

Snow and David traveled through the woods on horseback.

"We're nearly there," David told her. "We should take the rest of the way on foot."

They dismounted.

Snow gazed at him. "You know, this is the first time we've been alone since you proposed?"

David smiled. "Well, privacy is a hard thing to come by when you have seven big brothers keeping an eye on you."

Snow nodded in acknowledgement. "They're protective."

David chuckled. "That's one word for it."

"The dwarfs been giving you a hard time?" Snow asked.

"Apart from accusing me of being a gold digging, social climbing shepherd?" David asked. "Nah."

Snow chuckled. "I have faith that you'll charm them, just as you charmed me, eventually."

They chuckled, walking further into the woods, until they reached a clearing.

"According to Vasilisa and Priscilla, the weapon that will defeat Regina and Alcina lies at the top of this hill," David told her. "And then maybe we can save Jefferson and Grace."

Snow sighed. "This weapon, what do Priscilla and Vasilisa say of its power? Was it made with dark magic?"

David shook his head. "No, it was forged by benevolent mages. His name is Merlin, and his son Cyrus, from a realm called Camelot. There it is." They saw a sword stuck in a stone. "Excalibur."

Snow was stunned. "It's beautiful."

David laughed, attempting to pull the sword out. "It's stuck. You wanna try?"

"If you couldn't do it, you really think I can?" Snow asked.

"Well, the legend states only the kingdom's true ruler possesses the strength to free the blade," David told her.

"I've never ruled anything," Snow pointed out.

"Yet," David corrected. "Go on." Snow approached the sword, pulling it out of the stone, gasping with amazement. "You see? You are the kingdom's true leader."

Night - Dark Jungle

The group continued on as they heard ominous sounds.

"No one's here," Snow told them. "Maybe your spell was wrong, Regina."

Jefferson scoffed. "Yes. Blame Regina. Again."

"Jefferson actually sticking up for his wife's half-sister's half-sister?" Emma asked. "Mind blown."

Tori chuckled. "Yeah. One way to put it."

Ella saw something. "Guys. Hold on. Is that... Henry! Where are Rose and Grace?"

The figure turned around to reveal himself as Peter dressed up as Henry, looking at the Light Bringer. "Hi, Lisa."

"Where the hell are Grace, Henry and Rose?" Lisa asked.

Peter shook his head at all of them. "You broke the rules. That's not fair. Bad form. I expect more from you, Tori, Saphira and Mathias Matthews, and the Captain."

Killian nodded sarcastically. "Aye, and you'll get it."

"Give Henry, Rose and Grace to us," Alcina told him.

Peter smirked. "Sorry, Alcina, can't. Don't you know cheaters never win?"

The lost boys came from behind Peter, shooting and whooping, surrounding the group, armed with bow and arrows as Peter looked on.

The group prepared themselves.

"Watch out for their arrows," Killian told them. "They're laced with dreamshade."

The fight begun as the lost boys started shooting their arrows. Arrows ricocheted as Killian, David, Jefferson, Ella and Emma used swords to block them. Snow shot arrows herself. Freya, Alcina, Regina, Mathias, Saphira and Lisa were using magic to deflect arrows. Tori and Saphira used their Siren Song to distract some of the boys to stop fighting, but Peter used his power to make them stop, as he had enchanted ear pieces in his ears that made him immune to the Siren Song while he was wearing them. Freya, being distracted, didn't see a boy behind her about to fire an arrow at her.

Jefferson ran closer to pull her out of the way, getting nipped on the side. "Freya!"

Freya turned to face him worriedly. "Jefferson?"

"I'm good," Jefferson told her.

A boy took aim at Snow from behind.

"Mary Margaret!" David told her. "Behind you!"

Snow shot the arrow, pinning the boy to a tree. Lisa, Freya, Alcina, Regina, Saphira and Mathias used their power to bring the rest of the boys down.

Felix slashed a sword toward Saphira, which she used magic to deflect. "It's been a while, Saphira."

Saphira scoffed, shaking her head. "Not long enough." Instead of using magic, Saphira ensued in a sword fight with Felix expertly, blocking sword strikes from Felix, spinning around to slash him in the legs, grabbing his arm to kick his legs out from underneath him and flip him to the ground. "Give up yet?"

Mathias used magic to take down another lost boy. "You remember what I did to Rufio? Well, it's a far worse fate for you."

Tori kicked a lost boy in the knee, slamming his head down against a tree, knocking him out, throwing another to the ground, using her sword to block moves from two more lost boys, spinning closer to slash into them and knock them down. "Wow. I forgot how good this feels."

Emma took another lost boy down. "Where are Grace, Rose and Henry? Where are they?"

Lisa took down another lost boy, but stopped fighting when she saw something in his eyes, realizing something.

"Lisa?" Tori asked. "You all right?"

Peter whistled, causing all of the lost boys to fall back and stand behind him. He looked at Lisa. "Remember what I told you. That map will show you where Henry, Rose and Grace are, only when you stop denying who you really are. I'll make sure to send Rose, Grace and Henry your regards."

The lost boys and Peter retreated while whooping. Lisa watched them go with a dazed expression.

Flashback 7

Enchanted Forest

Day - Village

People were afraid of what was coming.

"They're coming!" a man called.

A carriage carrying Evil Queen, Dark Sorceress, Priscilla and Vasilisa arrived. They got out while all the commoners ran to hide. Regina was sure to use Vasilisa's control or lack thereof to keep Priscilla in line.

David looked at Snow. "Ready?"

Snow grabbed the sword.

"What exactly were you two up to today?" Grumpy asked.

"You'll see," Snow told them. "I hope."

"Well, dears, have you packed your bags?" Priscilla asked.

Snow glanced at the sword, stepping forward. "I thought about your offer, and everything you said was true. I could go off with Charming and the dwarfs, and we could find some lovely corner of the world to live out our days, and it would be a wonderful life, but I can't leave my people, and I can't leave Priscilla and Vasilisa with you, and I can't leave Jefferson and Grace to suffer. I'm going to save those two there and we are going to save Grace and Jefferson our way."

Priscilla couldn't help a smirk, but was obviously still worried. "Snow..."

"Well, in that case..." Dark Sorceress trailed off. "Regina?"

Evil Queen made Vasilisa magically pick up Grumpy and choke him though she fought against it. The other dwarfs tried to help without success, but they were all magically thrown back.

Snow was desperate. "Charming!"

"You can do this," David told her. "You. You pulled that sword out of the stone."

Snow aimed her sword at Evil Queen and Dark Sorceress. "Let them go!" Snow swung at Dark Sorceress with the sword, but Dark Sorceress magically disappeared in a whirl of black smoke. Snow turned around, striking Evil Queen with the sword. Vasilisa was allowed to let Grumpy go. Priscilla magically kept Evil Queen and Dark Sorceress away from the others. Evil Queen touched her face, surprised to see blood. "You told me to stop denying who I really am. Well, that's exactly what I'm doing. This is my kingdom, Vasilisa and Priscilla are my friends, and I will fight for them and help them save Jefferson and Grace."

"Then we'll see you on the battlefield," Evil Queen told her.

Priscilla smiled slightly. "I hope you'll be ready."

Evil Queen and Dark Sorceress magically disappeared in puffs of black smoke, making Vasilisa and Priscilla follow in white lights/smoke for Vasilisa and purple smoke for Priscilla. The crowd cheered.

David approached Snow. "You okay?"

Night - Camp

The group returned to their camp.

Alcina looked at Jefferson, noticing that he had been nicked. "Jefferson? You sure you don't want us to take a look at that?"

Jefferson shook his head. "I was lucky. My jacket wasn't. Don't worry about it."

"I think we have bigger issues," Regina told them.

Jefferson and Freya approached Lisa, sitting with her.

"Don't let him shake your confidence," Snow told her. "We've all had moments where we thought we couldn't prevail. You know that better than almost anyone."

"She's right," David told her.

Lisa stood to walk away from everyone. "Guys, not now, please."

"Lisa, wait," Emma told her.

"I don't think she wants us all to follow," Ella pointed out.

Freya and Jefferson held out their hands to tell the others to stay there, to which they nodded in agreement, while they walked toward Lisa to talk to her alone.

"Please talk to us," Freya told her.

Lisa shook her head. "There's nothing to talk about. We had our chance and we lost."

"Then you have to keep fighting," Freya told her.

"You heard what Saphira said," Lisa told them. "Pan is a demon."

"And you are the--" Jefferson started.

"What, the Light Bringer?" Lisa asked. "Apparently I'm not very good at it, otherwise I would've brought enough light to make this map show us the way already."

Freya realized something. "Maybe who you think you are isn't who you really are."

"What do you mean?" Lisa asked.

"Sometimes we think we know ourselves, but we need a push to show us the reality," Freya answered. "That boy with the knife, you stopped fighting him. Why?"

Lisa shook her head, sighing. "'Cause he was just a boy."

"No, there was something else," Jefferson told her. "We saw it in your eyes. Why did you stop?"

"Because when I looked at his face, I saw me," Lisa answered.

Freya nodded reassuringly. "Go on."

Lisa took a deep breath. "The look in his eyes, the despair, I had it back in the Enchanted Forest when I was alone after my father and stepmother died, after I found out my real mother had abandoned me, and I had it in Storybrooke when I was in the foster system, or when I was controlled by Regina or that warlock you two and Grace saved me from. Just a lost little girl who didn't matter and didn't think she ever would, a little girl who cried herself to sleep at night 'cause she wanted her family so badly and never had the chance to be with either of her families."

All of them were saddened with tears in their eyes.

"And then we found you," Freya told her. "It was too late."

Lisa shook her head, nearly crying but fighting back tears. "It's just, on this island, I--I don't feel like a hero or the Light Bringer; I just feel like what I've always been, an orphan."

Jefferson looked at the map. "Freya. Lisa."

"What?" Freya asked.

Jefferson nodded to the map. "Look."

They looked at the map to see that it had appeared.

"What happened?" Lisa asked.

"You accepted who you are," Freya answered sadly.

Lisa looked at them in guilt, shaking her head sadly. "I'm sorry."

"It's okay," Freya told her. "It's the truth."

"Cilla, Grace and I know we can never replace the family you lost, Lisa," Jefferson told her. "And we're not trying to."

"You are an orphan," Freya told her. "Us taking you in didn't change that."

Lisa took a deep breath to steady herself. "But just because I'm an orphan doesn't mean that I don't have a family."

The three of them managed small, sad smiles, embracing with tears in their eyes.

Flashback 8

Enchanted Forest

Day - Woods

Snow found a secluded place in the woods. "Vasilisa! Priscilla!"

They appeared.

"I hope you're not trying to get yourself killed, Snow," Priscilla told her. "You know we have to get back soon before they come after us."

"I will find a way to save you," Snow told them. "And Jefferson and Grace. But thank you for helping us."

"Have to be a bit more specific," Vasilisa told her.

"Charming came to you searching for something powerful enough to vanquish the Queen and Sorceress," Snow told them. "You told him of Excalibur."

"It's true, your prince came to ask for aid fighting the Queen and Sorceress," Vasilisa told her. "We told him we couldn't help him without endangering him, and we didn't."

"Then how did he know where to find Excalibur?" Snow asked.

Priscilla chuckled in amusement. "Everyone knows it's in Camelot."

"But it's not," Snow told them, showing them the sword. "I possess it now."

Priscilla smirked. "If that were Excalibur, I wouldn't be able to do this." She used magic to disintegrate the sword. "Sword's a fake, Snow. Shoddy craftsmanship, too. But then again, what can you expect from a shepherd? Lucky it wasn't made out of wool."

"You saw what I did to Regina," Snow told them. "I drew blood."

Priscilla was suffering from the shared madness. "Enough of this." She took a deep breath to calm herself down. "I'm sorry, but we can't be around here much longer before they know something is up, and they will come for us. I made a deal with them to be with them until I could get Vasilisa back."

"And then I promised Priscilla to help get Jefferson and Grace back," Vasilisa added. "I'm sorry, Snow, but we didn't do this. I wish we could have helped."

Priscilla and Vasilisa disappeared. Snow was left alone in silence, holding only the sword's hilt.

Riverside

David was sitting by the river, contemplating. The dwarfs arrived.

"Mind if we join you?" Grumpy asked.

"Please," David answered.

"We may owe you a slight apology," Grumpy admitted.

"Slight?" David repeated.

"Don't get greedy," Grumpy told him. "Take it."

David chuckled in amusement. "Okay."

"We should of never have doubted your intentions," Grumpy told him, taking out a cup, pouring David a drink.

"You were only looking out for their best interests," David told them, raising his cup. "Here's to starting over."

They clinked glasses, drinking.

Snow walked past angrily, looking at David. "We need to talk." David followed her. Snow handed him the sword's hilt. "I saw Vasilisa and Priscilla."

David took a nervous breath. "Snow, I can explain."

"So it's true?" Snow asked. "You planted the sword in that stone."

"I did," David answered.

"So you took me on an adventure to find a magical sword because..." Snow trailed off.

"You needed to believe in something I already knew," David answered.

"So when I stood up to Regina and Alcina..." Snow trailed off.

"You did that on your own," David finished. "You had it inside you that entire time. You just... needed some help to realize that."

Snow was no longer angry, but very touched and relieved, happy. "But you didn't."

David shook his head. Snow kissed him passionately.

Night - Camp

The group was gathered.

"The map is working," Alcina told them. "We know where Henry, Rose and Grace are."

"Where?" Regina asked.

Mathias looked at the map. "Uh... we're here at the southern tip of the isle. In the middle of the Dark Jungle. And Pan's camp lies due north."

"That's where he's keeping Grace, Henry and Rose," Ella told them.

"What are we waiting for?" Regina asked.

"Well, the terrain's not easy," Tori answered. "There will undoubtedly be some nasty impediments along the way."

"We should prepare," Saphira told them. "We only made it out of our last encounter because Pan let us. We need a new plan."

"Agreed," Emma told them. "It's time we stop playing his game and he starts playing ours."

"And what if I disagree?" Regina asked.

Alcina gave her a look. "Go ahead, Regina. But I think you know our best chance is together."

Regina sighed. "You better be right."

"Excellent show of patience," Tori told her. "And that's what defeats a nasty little boy."

"I hope so," Ella told them. Everyone walked away except for Killian and Ella. Killian took out a bottle of rum. "Is rum your solution to everything?"

"It certainly doesn't hurt," Killian answered, taking a drink, offering it to her. Ella grabbed it, taking a drink. "So apparently Lisa found out who she is. Who are you, Ella?"

"Wouldn't you like to know?" Ella asked, teasing, handing the bottle back.

Killian took the bottle, looking sincere. "Perhaps I would."

Ella knew he wasn't kidding, considering that before she walked away to follow the others. Killian watched her go, following.

Jungle

Gold trekked through the jungle, hearing a twig snap and rustling behind him, looking around, continuing to walk warily. He heard a clank in the distance, looking to the sky, seeing the doll drop from it and land in front of him. He picked it up, dropping it again, conjuring fire to burn the doll, walking away. The doll dropped in front of him again. Gold decided to keep it, tucking it under his jacket.

Elsewhere

Lisa was picking berries.

Peter appeared. "Don't eat the blue ones." Lisa was annoyed to hear his voice, but knowing he would have shown up after she unlocked the map, sighing, turning to face him. "Congratulations, you did it, orphan. You don't mind if I call you a lost girl, do you?"

Lisa shrugged. "Call me what you like. It won't stop me from finding Grace, Rose and Henry."

Peter chuckled, amused, pacing around her. "Oh, I'm counting on that. There's a reason I tested you."

"Really?" Lisa asked skeptically.

"Even if you're the Light Bringer, one of the most powerful creatures in this world, you hold yourself back, because of your past," Peter pointed out. "Because you're afraid of yourself and your powers and afraid that it will leave you completely and truly alone, all over again. Pretty sure Priscilla and Jefferson and Grace know that, and they have talked to you about it before, because they're the ones who got you to start believing in yourself once they took you in, didn't they? Don't deny it. That's good, really good. 'Cause when you find Henry, Rose and Grace, you'll understand them, or should I say, more correctly, they'll understand you?"

"What's that supposed to mean?" Lisa asked.

"By the time you get to them, they'll never want to leave this island," Peter told her. "And you and Saphira may not want to leave either."

Lisa rolled her eyes, picking up her berries, starting to walk away. "We'll see."

Peter turned after her. "And as for you, Lisa..." Lisa stopped. "When we're finished, you won't be the only orphan of your little group. Henry, Rose, Grace, Saphira. They'll all be orphans, too. Maybe you'll all want to stay."

Lisa turned to glare at Peter, before she raised her free hand and disappeared in a whirl of white smoke and lights to return to the others.

Elsewhere

Jefferson was walking alone to get more food, stopping when he felt intense pain in his side, causing him to check the damage the arrow had caused, surprised to see that he had been affected by the dreamshade, becoming deathly worried.
