chapter 20 - Firebird

From 5.19 "Sisters", in the Underworld, Zelena and Hades walked toward the lights of the city.

Freya/Priscilla: (voice over) "Previously on Worlds Colliding (Once Upon a Time)."

"You want to come with me to Storybrooke?" Zelena asked.

"All I care about is a future where we might be a family," Hades told her.

From 5.19 "Sisters", in Zelena's farmhouse, the five Mills girls were speaking.

"I was wrong about family," Cora told them. "You never stop being connected, right up to the end, and sometimes, even after."

From 5.19 "Sisters", in the fiery cave, Regina looked at Zelena. "I think you have another love to find."

From 5.19 "Sisters", outside Granny's diner, Zelena walked up to the diner, seeing Hades, smiling.

Regina: (voice over from 5.19 Sisters) "Hades. Go to him."

Zelena looked at Gold. "You can't hurt me. Not if you want Alcina to forgive you. I may have a complicated relationship with my sisters, but if you want forgiveness from both your daughters, you're not gonna get it if you hurt me."

"Whoever said anything about hurting you?" Gold asked. "Rather than just taking you." Peter walked closer. "Zelena, meet my father. Priscilla and Alcina's grandfather. Peter Pan."

"I hear you're wicked," Peter told her. "Well, I'm much worse."

Peter threw a bag over Zelena's head.

The group was gathered by the fallen clock tower.

Emma looked at Regina in surprise. "You told her what?"

"To give him a chance," Regina answered.

"And you thought that was a good idea..." Rose trailed off. "Why?"

Regina gave Rose a look. "Because we're family. And I'm trying to trust Zelena. She thinks she can change Hades."

"I'm sorry, love," Killian told her. "I missed the part where Zelena changed."

"You'd think the ex-pirate with a rum habit would cut my mother some slack," Faye told him.

"Well, you'd think that the Evil Queen, Dark Sorceress and Fatale would be smarter than to send the Wicked Witch to romance the most devious man alive," Killian replied.

Alcina rolled her eyes. "Faye and I are not the ones that sent Zelena anywhere. We still don't trust Hades. And I still haven't completely forgiven Zelena for Neal. You really think I would let her go to the man who has Cilla as a slave in a contract if I had a choice?"

"No," Killian answered. "Sorry, Alcina."

"Easy, guys," Saphira told them. "We're not gonna win the war against Hades if we use all our ammo on each other."

Hades walked toward them. "Saphira has a point."

Everyone looked at him suspiciously.

"What the hell are you doing here?" Tori asked.

Ella pulled Henry and Rose behind her. "Get behind me."

"Oh, I didn't find you to hurt you," Hades told them. "I'm here, unsurprisingly, for Jefferson, Rose, Grace, Freya and Alcina."

Jefferson glared at Hades. "You're not gonna get anything else from Freya."

"Oh, you might change your minds after I show you what I found, Jefferson," Hades told him. "I came for your... wow, this is hard. Help."

"What could you possibly want our help with?" David asked.

"Simple," Hades told them. "I went to meet Zelena for our date and found this."

Hades held up a piece of parchment.

Mathias took it from Hades, opening, reading. "No. Zelena. She's been kidnapped by Gold and Pan."

Freya and Alcina exchanged an annoyed look.

Derek took the parchment to read from. "They're asking for a meeting tomorrow morning. Gold wants him to tear up the contract on Freya. And any other threat you have on his family."

Cyrus gave Hades a look. "So do it. I'm willing to bet you're not willing to lose Zelena. If you want to keep her, tear up the contract. Zelena means more to you than Freya does."

"I'll give them what they want, but I know the Stiltskins and their tricks," Hades told them, looking at Freya, Jefferson, Grace and Alcina significantly, who glared at him. "Gold and Pan are not gonna keep their word. Not unless I have an ace up my sleeve."

"Luckily for you, you got me," Regina told him.

"I'm sorry, you've been Zelena's doting sister for all of what, three hours?" Hades asked. "No."

"Who's going to be more motivated than me, Faye or Regina?" Alcina asked.

"Oh, you and Faye are coming, Alcina," Hades told her. "But I also need, you guessed it, Jefferson, Freya and Grace. Rose, since Gold is still your grandfather, would you like to help too?"

"What?" Rose asked. "Why would you need us? Just because of Gold and Pan being related to us?"

"If Zelena gets out of this alive, I'm prepared to offer you a deal," Hades told them.

"Don't trust a word he says," Axel told them.

"I agree with the wolf," Grace agreed. "Axel's smarter than you know."

"If you help me save her, I'll take everyone's names off their headstones," Hades told them.

Axel was skeptic, suspicious. "So we can leave the Underworld."

"So what do you say?" Hades asked. "Do you want to send your families home or not?"

Day - Street

Ella parked her car in a free spot in front of the same bar/grill that August had took her and Emma to in 1.20, getting out of the car, meeting up with her sister. "Hey, Emma. I didn't know if you were coming."

"Yeah, I'm here," Emma told her. "We agreed to find out where we came from, remember? It'll distract you from what happened with Neal and prison and..."

"Giving up my babies when I didn't want to, but having to because of being in prison?" Ella finished. "Yeah. Let's go, Ella."

Inside

Emma and Ella walked in, at the counter, holding an article about them being found as babies, talking to the waitress behind the counter.

Emma handed her the article. "So, we just thought we'd ask on the off chance if there's someone still working here who remembers those babies being brought in."

"26 years ago?" the waitress asked. "We can't keep a cook for six weeks."

"Maybe, like, a long time customer?" Ella asked.

"The foot ain't good enough for that kind of loyalty," the waitress told them. "Sorry, girls, but you're not gonna find anyone here who remembers this."

Emma and Ella took their food, walking around to the sitting area, sitting alone.

A woman named Cleo walked over to their table. "Tough break, kids."

Ella looked up, surprised. "What?"

Cleo sat down. "Heard what you were asking. You reporters or something?"

"No, nothing like that," Emma answered.

"You're the babies, aren't you, from the article?" Cleo asked. "You're the babies? Intuition. Mine's usually pretty good, and I'm sorry. It's hard not being able to find your family."

Emma stood. "It's just a dead end. Ella and I've had a lot of those. So, thank you for your concern, but we got this. Ella, come on."

"Can I say one more thing based on my intuition?" Cleo asked.

Ella stood. "Okay."

"I look at you, young, pretty," Cleo told them.

Emma was a bit weirded out. "Okay."

"And I see people who, now, stop me if I'm wrong, but, people who got set up, got arrested, and took off on their bail," Cleo told them.

Emma and Ella suddenly took off at a run. Cleo followed them calmly.

Outside

Emma and Ella ran outside, dodging moving cars, seeing that Emma's car had been booted, running to Ella's car instead, getting in to try to drive away, but the tires screeched, looking outside to see the booted tires.

Cleo walked toward the car, ignoring a car as it swerved around her, handcuffing Emma's wrist to make sure that Ella wouldn't try to run without her sister. "Well, hello, there."

Ella and Emma exchanged a look, sighing in defeat.

Granny's Diner

Hades hung a sign on the door, stating the diner was closed until further notice, closing the blinds. "Show yourself."

Gold and Peter appeared with Zelena in waves of blood red smoke. Hades turned to face them.

"Glad to see you followed instructions and came alone," Peter told him.

Hades stepped closer. "Zelena."

Zelena held up her left hand, which had a magic blocking cuff on. "I tried to stop them, but..."

"It's not your fault, it's theirs," Hades told her.

"Oh, is that so?" Gold asked. "Because we wouldn't be here if you'd ripped up that contract when I asked you to."

Hades magically produced the contract. "You didn't have leverage."

"And now I do," Gold pointed out. "So you stand there and don't move except to rip up that contract, then you get the witch."

Hades ripped up the contract. "There. Now give her back."

"Oh, you can gave her back," Gold told him.

"But we didn't say anything about her heart, did we?" Peter asked. "You see, my body is ready to walk the earth again, except for one thing. A living heart. So, if you don't mind..."

"My heart has got a protection spell on it," Zelena told him.

Peter chuckled. "You may be good at magic, but we're better."

Peter went to remove Zelena's heart.

Rose walked in, using a stream of rose red magic to throw Peter into the wall, making him fall. "You sure about that? There's a face I never wanted to see again."

Peter chuckled lightly. "Rose. Hello to you, too. Glad to see you and Grace have grown into your powers." Freya, Jefferson, Grace and Alcina walked in. "Oh, Jefferson, reunited with Rose, Priscilla, Grace and Alcina again. Hello again, Alcina."

Hades gave the Hatters, Alcina and Rose a look. "I was beginning to think you couldn't get in."

"Locks don't bother us much," Jefferson told him. "We were just waiting for you to rip up the contract."

Faye approached them, burning Peter with her Dragon fire to push him away from Zelena, pulling her mother toward her. "I'd like to have my mother back, thank you."

Zelena smiled at this reaction.

Freya looked at Gold. "He ripped up the contract like you wanted. So leave."

"I heard you were forced to answer to the king of death, Priscilla, but you don't have to anymore," Peter told her. "You're welcome for that, by the way."

"Don't think for a second I believe you helped because you wanted to help your family," Freya replied. "I know you did it only to get what you want."

"We made a deal with Hades to do this," Grace told them. "We do this, he ripped up the contract, he lets us all go home."

"You won't get what you want from him," Gold warned.

"Really?" Alcina asked, giving Gold a cold look. "Because you just did. Which is making me wonder why you're still here."

Gold chuckled. "Yeah, I suppose you have a point, Ally."

Freya, Jefferson, Grace, Alcina and Rose exchanged a look with Gold, all clearly relieved at now being free, but they were not approving of Gold's methods. Gold disappeared in a whirl of blood red smoke.

Peter became worried. "Rumple."

Faye smirked. "Looks like your little boy only came for what he wanted."

"I don't think you're gonna be that lucky, 'Grandfather'," Freya told him, calling him that mockingly.

Jefferson smirked. "You abandoned your family, so it's amusing to see someone from that family abandon you."

Peter scoffed, disappearing in a whirl of blood red smoke. Smirking, Faye turned to Zelena, using her Dragon power to burn the anti-magic cuff off of her wrist.

Zelena smiled. "Thank you, Faye."

Zelena and Faye embraced.

Hades walked closer. "Zelena. Are you all right?"

Zelena nodded. "You tore up that contract for me. I didn't think you'd do it."

"When will you believe I'd do anything for you?" Hades asked.

Zelena chuckled. "I think I'm getting there." Freya, Jefferson, Grace, Rose, Alcina and Faye were not moved or convinced by this. Zelena and Hades shared true love's kiss, releasing a rainbow wave of magic. Hades gasped as his heart restarted. Zelena had her hand on Hades' chest, gasping as she felt it restart. "Is that..."

"My heart," Hades answered. "It's beating."

Hades and Zelena kissed again, but were interrupted by a rumble.

"What the hell was that?" Jefferson asked.

Hades sighed. "My banishment. It's over. I can finally leave this place for good. Very soon, at the cemetery, there will be a fully formed portal back to Storybrooke, but it will close at sunset."

"First things first," Rose told him. "We held up our end of the deal. Now it's your turn. We're going home through that portal, too. All of us."

Cemetery

Everyone was gathered at the cemetery, looking at the broken clock tower in the ground in front of them.

"How did it get here?" Henry asked.

"The hands are moving," Emma told them. "Is that a good sign or a bad one?"

"It's a great one if you want to leave," Christopher answered. "When those hands spin fast enough in about an hour, it'll turn into an open portal back."

Ella pointed to the tombstones. "Which we can't go through. Because of those." She glared at Hades. "So let's get on with it."

Hades smirked. "Gladly." He magically removed all their names from the graves. "There, as promised. You're no longer tied to this realm."

"I told you love could change him," Zelena told them.

Blake and Lisa scoffed.

"I don't buy it," Tori told them. "A man can't change that quickly."

"Finally," Axel told them. "Someone's talking sense."

"Look, either you believe Hades," Saphira told them. "Or you don't."

"Tori, Saphira, Faye, Hook, Ella, Christopher, Lisa, Blake and I?" Mathias asked. "Freya, Jefferson, Grace, Alcina and Rose? Cyrus and Axel?"

"None of us believe Hades, Mathias," Cyrus told him. "But we don't have the time to argue about this right now."

Tori looked at Freya. "We're free to go through the portal when it opens. Which means it's time to split Freya's heart so Jefferson can leave with us."

"And their minds will be linked again," Henry finished. "Aunt Freya won't have to handle all the madness anymore. Uncle Jefferson can help control it."

Derek nodded in agreement. "Aye. Go on. Do it."

Lisa reached into Freya's chest to take her heart, splitting the heart in two, handing Freya half. Freya attempted to put that half into Jefferson's chest, but it didn't work. A blast of power sent Freya falling to the ground, making her groan in pain.

"Cilla?" Alcina asked worriedly.

Rose and Henry spoke together worriedly. "Aunt Freya?"

Grace knelt beside Freya. "Mama!"

Jefferson helped Freya up, worriedly trying to see if she was okay.

"Why didn't it work?" Emma asked.

Saphira glared at Hades. "We told you we couldn't trust him."

"That wasn't me," Hades told them. "I'm afraid there are laws of nature beyond even my control."

David shook his head. "No. I should work. My wife's heart brought me back."

"How long were you dead?" Christopher asked.

"A minute or so," David answered. "Maybe less."

Hades nodded. "Ah, I didn't think I recalled you entering this realm. Your soul never left your body. That's why it worked for you."

Freya and Jefferson were holding onto each other.

"So Jefferson's been down here too long?" Axel asked.

"If you don't believe Hades, believe me," Christopher told them. "Know that I would never lie to any of you. Jefferson's body is rotting away up there. Even if your soul could return to it, I doubt any of you could stomach the smell."

Jefferson sighed painfully. "Well, Freya, it appears you have to take our family home without me."

Freya shook her head stubbornly, tears in her eyes. "There has to be another way."

Jefferson was in pain to see her putting herself through this. "Cilla, please."

Ella looked at Hades. "You're telling us no one's gone to the Underworld and brought someone back?" Hades didn't answer. "They have?"

"Who?" Emma asked. "Who did? How?"

Hades sighed. "It was a long time ago, and it was a rumor. There's no proof it actually worked."

Tori gave him a glare. "Tell us everything."

Night - Motel Room

Cleo was handcuffing Emma and Ella to the beds. "Sorry about this, but I'm gonna go take a shower now."

"You gonna shower in that jacket?" Emma asked. "You probably sleep in that thing too, huh?"

"Funny," Cleo told her sarcastically. "Sit tight, watch some cartoons. I'll be right back."

Cleo handed Ella a remote, walking into the bathroom, closing the door. Water could be heard running.

Ella tossed the remote to her sister. "Emma." Emma turned on the TV. Ella found a pin to unlock the handcuffs, freeing both of them, when they both walked into the other room to dig through Cleo's purse. Ella found a picture of Cleo's daughter with money. "Sorry, Tasha, but I think your mom will survive."

Ella and Emma went to leave.

Emma noticed that a program which found people had been left open on Cleo's computer. "Ella, wait."

Cleo walked out of the bathroom, noticing that Emma and Ella were no longer handcuffed to the beds, thinking they had taken off, running back into the bathroom to grab her jacket, running into the other room to leave, but saw Emma and Ella at the computer.

Ella turned to face Cleo. "Do you guys all get this special search thing? Oh, I dated a guy once who's good at picking locks. I taught Emma a few things."

"You could've left," Cleo pointed out.

Emma looked at the computer. "The Hancock County Courthouse has files on me and Ella. We didn't know that. They could know something. They could know the name of the boy who brought Ella and me in. There--there could've been a note with me and Ella that was dropped into the file, something, anything. You could take us there."

"Why would I do that?" Cleo asked.

"Because Emma and I can get out of handcuffs, and you'll have to track me and Emma down in every city and every hotel all the way across the country," Ella answered. "Look, if you help me and Emma with this, we'll go quietly all the way to Phoenix. Emma and I just want some answers."

"You want to know where you come from," Cleo told them. Emma and Ella nodded. Cleo sighed, giving in. "Courthouse opens at 9:00 tomorrow."

Now

Underworld

Hades' Lair

Hades had the group gathered, showing them a book. "Orpheus and Eurydice."

"I know this myth," Henry told them. "She died. He followed her to the Underworld to get her back."

Hades nodded. "These are the only two souls who ever escaped my realm."

"How?" Axel asked. "I thought you said that broke the laws of nature."

"I've heard of this myth," Cyrus told them. "Orpheus helped Eurydice escape by feeding her ambrosia. The food of the gods."

"And where exactly do you get some of that?" Regina asked. "'Cause I don't recall seeing it on the menu at the Blind Witch's."

Library

Everyone was looking at the same elevator they had tried to break into in 5.17. Hades removed the wall they couldn't, revealing the shaft.

"An elevator?" Saphira asked. "Freya's the Dark Witch. Grace is the Illusionist. They've got magic."

"Hades is the lord of the Underworld," Mathias replied. "That should tell you something. You know, if he's not playing us."

Zelena gave the Matthews a look. "For the last time, he's not playing us."

"We don't know that for sure," Derek replied. "Excuse us for being cautious."

Hades chuckled. "The ambrosia, it's powerful, and like a petty spoiled child, it wants all the power for itself. Everything else is shut down below. There's no hopping in and out in a puff of smoke. This is the only way, and once you're down there, you're on your own."

"And then what?" Tori asked. "They're knee deep in a field of ambrosia? Can't be that easy."

"I'm not really sure," Hades told them. "Even I've never ventured that far down."

"So they're going to the one place in Hell where even the Devil is afraid to go?" Killian asked.

Zelena rolled her eyes. "Not Hell, and not the Devil."

"And not because I'm afraid," Hades told them. "There's a test to ensure that only those who are worthy of eating ambrosia can reach it."

"I remember the legend," Cyrus told them. "It requires offering up your heart for judgment."

"Without magic, how are they gonna take out Freya's heart?" Axel asked.

Lisa reached into Freya's chest to take her heart. "We're not." She placed Freya's heart in a bag, holding it out to Freya. "Here, Freya. Take good care of it."

Freya took the bag, sighing. "Let's have this be the last time we do this today, okay?"

Lisa shrugged. "Just trying to help."

"Cyrus?" Rose  asked. "Failing this test has, what, fatal consequences?"

Cyrus shrugged. "One would think."

"Would this ambrosia be enough to bring Papa back?" Blake asked.

Christopher sighed. "Blake, Lisa, I have the mark, remember? I can't leave for as long as Hades is alive. Even if I took the fruit, it won't get rid of the mark."

Blake scoffed. "So you can't come back, but Mr. 'I'm the Lord of Underworld' can? Hades gets to walk away to have his whatever the hell his psychotic mind has thought of as a happy ending with Zelena while you just stay here to rot? I don't think so."

Before Blake could make move against Hades, Faye and Axel held his arms, pulling him back.

"Blake!" Axel told him. "Don't do it."

"Listen to him," Emma told him. "You don't want to start a war here."

"Emma and Axel are right," Regina agreed. "You piss off Hades?"

"Who knows what he could do," David finished.

Hades looked at Christopher, Freya and Jefferson mockingly. "The three of you and Ingrid really should have taught Grace, Lisa and Blake more manners."

Not in her right mind with the madness flaring up in rage, Freya struggled not to let it make her do anything. "How about I show you some manners?"

Jefferson held her arm. "Cilla, hey."

Killian looked at Hades. "Stop antagonizing them. Bloody idiot."

"Seriously," Mathias agreed in annoyance.

Tori sighed. "Well, looks like Blake gets his temper from both sides of the family."

"You think you're so smart, don't you Hades?" Blake asked. "Well, guess I can see the real you, having read every story about you, and they're all true, because you are nothing but a spiteful jealous little bitch whose father and brother hated him, so tell me, how does it feel that all our family sees you exactly for what you are, and that is nothing but a failure?"

Zelena gave him a look. "Watch your mouth."

"Oh, spare me the whole goody thing, Zelena, since you two are made for each other, both nothing but lying, manipulative, jealous for attention, self-obsessed murderers," Blake told her.

Faye pulled him away. "Blake, that's enough."

Blake shook his head. "No, Faye, it's the truth, since she murdered Freya and Alcina's brother, and Hades murdered my father and uncle, and tortured Jefferson, and tried to send Axel's family to eternal doom, tried to break Freya down in every way possible, and tried to kill us all, and that's only what we know that Hades did, since he murdered Father before he even knew about our family, so who's to say he didn't try to do the same to me and Lisa before we even got here?"

They all looked at Hades, who didn't say anything.

"Hades?" Derek asked.

Cyrus realized. "Oh, my God."

"What?" Rose asked.

"The Fury," Cyrus answered.

"What do you mean?" Ella asked. "The one that attacked Emma?"

"What does that have to do with anything?" David asked.

"The Furies come from the Underworld," Cyrus told them.

"Which means they come from here," Axel realized. "Which means Hades controls them."

Lisa looked at Hades in shock. "That explains why it only tried to hurt everyone else. But actually hurt me, Blake and Emma."

"When Emma and Regina didn't pay the price of magic, Hades sent that Fury to attack them, and Lisa and Blake," Alcina realized. "So that if they died, they would be stuck down here for him to torture them for all eternity. Just like you did to Christopher."

"So what if I did?" Hades asked. "It's not a surprise. I hated you all."

Saphira glared at him. "You bastard."

"That's enough," Derek told them. "He's not even worth it."

"Derek's right," Axel agreed. "He's not worth the calories you burn talking to him."

"Your words are touching, Axel," Hades told him sarcastically. Axel smiled sarcastically. "Now, now, we are all going to be living in the same town. Shouldn't we be at least trying to get along?"

Grace scoffed. "Yeah, right."

Henry shook his head. "Like hell. Pun intended."

Jefferson glared at Hades. "Screw you."

The Matthews, so attuned to each other, knew what to say at the same time. "Never got happen."

Freya glared at Hades. "And they say me and Jefferson are the crazy ones."

Zelena tried to calm everyone down. "All right, enough. I know he's done some bad things. We all have. So should you be playing the forgiveness part now? You know, like heroes do."

"He tried to kill us all many, many times, Mother," Faye told her.

"And that wasn't even that long ago," Rose told her. "That was like yesterday."

"He tried to send Axel's family to eternal doom," Grace reminded her.

"And Killian's brother," Ella added.

Emma scoffed. "Tortured Jefferson. Tried over and over again to send Freya over the edge so she would do what he said. Threatened Freya, Jefferson, Henry, Rose, Grace, Alcina, Tori, Saphira, Mathias, Derek, Faye. The babies of Alcina, Robin, Tori, Mathias, Belle, Gold, Derek and Faye."

"He sent Gaston to kill us," Tori added. "But that was a trick to force Freya to send him into the River."

"He murdered Christopher and Hercules," Killian told them. "Kept them separated. Kept Christopher tortured down here for who knows how long."

"And put all of your names on tomb stones so we couldn't leave the Underworld," Christopher finished. "He sent that Fury after Lisa and Blake."

Henry looked at Zelena. "That's just what he did to us. After what we just found out, you really asked us to trust him? To forgive him?"

"Okay, yes, I've done bad things, but I have love now," Hades told them. "I've changed."

They scoffed.

"If you've really changed that much, then take the mark of our father so he can come back to life," Lisa told him. "So he can leave this place with us."

Hades sighed. "I couldn't even if I wanted to. The mark is permanent. Once it's on, it can't be undone."

Christopher, Lisa and Blake looked down in pain. Blake was very angry, leaving the library.

Outside

Faye followed Blake. "Blake. Blake."

Blake continued walking. Faye rolled her eyes, appearing in front of Blake in a whirl of blue/green smoke.

"Not in the mood, lollipop, I wanna be alone," Blake told her.

Faye was trying to get him to calm down. "For one, you hate being alone, 2, since when do I ever listen to anything anyone says, and 3, you do realize that even when you're angry, you still call me lollipop?"

Blake was amused. "Really, is this you trying to make me feel better so I don't do something drastic?"

Faye shrugged sarcastically. "I don't know, is it working?" Blake shrugged. "Great. Now talk to me."

"I'm fine," Blake told her.

"Fine, really?" Faye asked skeptically. "This is not fine. If you're gonna go after Hades, you're gonna get everyone killed."

"Stop, Faye, you wouldn't understand," Blake told her, turning to walk away.

Faye caught his hand. "Really, I wouldn't understand it, Blake? You do remember that you're talking to the reformed Fatale, right, the daughter to the woman you just degraded with no shame in there? If you feel that way about the things my mother did, I can't possibly imagine what you think of the things I've done."

Blake sighed, closing his eyes. "Faye, I'm sorry. I didn't mean you."

"If you really wanna go after Hades, do it when no one else will get hurt or killed in the crossfire, because doing it in there would have gotten everyone killed, Blake, but if we found a way to make sure it was only him getting hurt, I would be glad to help you," Faye told him.

Blake gave her a look. "No, Faye, you would die if you tried to fight him."

Faye shrugged. "If you tried to fight him alone, you would die, Blake, and I'm not going to let you go alone."

"Even if we both died?" Blake asked.

Faye smirked. "We are way too iconic to die, Blake."

Blake laughed, smiling a little. "Yes, we are."

Faye smiled. "See, there is that smile. You should smile more often. You look quite lovely when you do."

Blake blushed, looking away, causing Faye to smile.

Blake looked at her. "You know, lollipop, there is no way I would ever let you die, so you can get that idea out of your head."

"Right back at you, so stop trying to get yourself killed," Faye told him. "You're such a drama queen."

"So are you," Blake replied.

Faye smirked. "True. No wonder we like each other." After a moment of looking at each other, Blake and Faye shared a slow, sweet and passionate kiss. "Now are you calm?"

"Still want him dead, but I guess you can say your plan to calm me down did work," Blake answered.

"Good," Faye told him. "Now let's get inside so we can save Jefferson, and so you can say goodbye to Christopher."

Blake nodded sadly in agreement. They walked in.

Inside

Freya, Jefferson, Grace, Lisa, Blake and Christopher were getting ready to go down in the elevator.

Jefferson was worried. "You don't have to do this for me."

"And you didn't have to sacrifice your life to save all of us from the Dark Ones," Lisa replied. "We're going."

"We'll be right here waiting for you," David told them.

Freya walked toward her sister. "Ally..."

Alcina nodded. "I know the drill. We get out of here by sunset."

"Regina?" Freya asked.

"And if you're not back by sunset, I'll make sure everyone leaves," Regina told her. "But you'll be back."

Henry and Rose stepped forward to embrace Jefferson.

"We love you, Uncle Jefferson," Rose told him.

"This is just..." Henry trailed off. "You know, in case."

Jefferson smiled sadly, embracing them. "Henry, Rose, I love both of you, too."

Henry, Rose, Alcina, Grace and Freya embraced.

"We love you, Aunt Freya, and Grace," Rose told her.

Freya smiled slightly. "Henry, Rose, I love you, too."

Grace embraced her cousins. "We'll be back. Henry, Rose, I promise."

Alcina took Henry and Rose by the hands, pulling them back with her. "Henry, Rose, come here. They'll be back, promise."

Freya embraced her. "Take care of them all, Ally."

"You'll be back, Cilla," Alcina told her.

Henry turned to Lisa. "Promise me you'll be back."

Lisa nodded in answer. "I'll be back. Don't worry, Henry."

Lisa and Henry embraced, sharing a sweet kiss.

Grace walked up to Axel. "Axel?"

"Yeah?" Axel asked.

"In case we don't make it back in time..." Grace trailed off.

"Grace, you're gonna make it back," Axel told her.

Grace nodded. "I know. But just in case. Just make sure everyone gets out if we don't. Promise me."

"I'll make that promise, if you make the promise that you'll get back," Axel replied.

Grace smiled slightly, nodding. "You got a deal, Axel."

Grace embraced Axel, kissing him sweetly. Axel deepened the kiss passionately. They pulled away. Grace backed away, letting her hand slip from his.

The Hatters and Christopher stepped into the elevator, taking it down.

Pan's Pawnshop

Gold walked in, seeing Belle sleeping, attempting to awaken her with true love's kiss, but it failed. He heard a whoosh, walking into the main part of the shop.

Peter was there. "She may not accept you for who you are, and neither our family, but I will. Despite your rude abandonment of me earlier."

Gold nodded sarcastically. "Touching, Papa. Yes, abandonment hurts, doesn't it? But with the contract gone, I only care about one thing. Getting my family home. Tori will then be able to awaken Belle."

"I'd love to help you make the journey, but that's going to be quite difficult since I didn't get the heart you promised me," Peter told him.

Gold laughed. "Oh, there's the man I remember. Always thinking about what's in it for himself."

Peter chuckled. "There's something in it for you, too." He magically produced a black box. "Pandora's Box. You can keep her safe in here in exchange for a heart. Otherwise, you both might lose out and miss that portal home. Opening soon, but only till sunset. So, do we have a deal? Tick, tock."

Emma, Regina, Ella, Killian, David, Henry, Rose, the Matthews, Cyrus and Axel were waiting for the Hatters and Christopher.

"Alcina and Derek should be back soon with Robin and the babies," Emma told them. "Derek and Alcina are telling Robin what he missed out on."

Henry sighed. "We can't just sit around waiting for them to get back."

"We don't have a choice, Henry," Regina told him. "The minute Freya, Jefferson, Grace, Lisa, Blake and Christopher get off this elevator, we're going straight through that portal."

"What about Operation Firebird?" Saphira asked. "We can't leave the Underworld without helping the people trapped here."

"They were trapped here because of Hades," Cyrus told them. "Who, fortunately for them, will no longer be a resident."

"Cyrus is right," Hades told them. "The Underworld will function as it was meant to, a place for people to deal with their unfinished business without anyone getting in their way."

Ella sighed. "Yeah. But a lot of the people down here don't even know what their unfinished business is."

Rose looked at Henry, getting an idea. "But maybe as the Author and Enchantress, we can tell them."

Alcina, Robin and Derek walked in with the babies.

"Alcina and Derek brought me here immediately," Robin told them. "Derek and Alcina  didn't have time to go into detail."

David sighed. "Great. We can tell you here."

Robin pointed at Zelena and Hades. "What are they doing here?"

"Hello to you, too," Zelena told him sarcastically.

Faye walked closer to Derek. "Are you just gonna stand there, Derek, or are you gonna let our darling daughter see her mommy?"

Derek handed their daughter to Faye. "Here's Faye, little one."

Robin was very confused and worried. "Alcina? Derek? What's going on?"

"It's okay, Robin," Alcina told him. "As hard as this is to believe, Zelena's actually helping us. Hades says he's helping us."

"Most of us are not convinced by that," Mathias told him. "But he's trying to prove himself to us."

"We all want the same thing," Hades told them. "To leave this place."

"It's true," David told him. "He took our names off the tombstones. We can leave."

"Well, then what are we still doing here?" Robin asked.

Zelena shrugged. "Boy Scout's got a point. We could take the babies to the cemetery now and then all walk through as soon as it opens."

Killian shook his head. "Not without Freya, Jefferson, Grace, Lisa and Blake." He glared at Hades. "Since he's left Christopher a prisoner here for all time."

"And Saphira, Henry and Rose are right," Ella told them. "We can still help people."

Regina nodded. "Ally. Robin. Derek. Faye. Take the babies to the portal. Axel, you might as well go, too."

"I'm not leaving without Blake," Faye told them.

"I'm not leaving without Saphira," Derek agreed.

"I'm not leaving without Grace," Axel told them.

"And I'm not leaving Freya, Jefferson, Grace, Lisa and Blake," Alcina told them.

Robin chuckled. "They're right. We're staying, and we can protect the babies while we do."

"All right," Emma told them. "It's probably better for you four to stay here with the babies anyway. Hades might be playing nice for now."

"But who knows when that can change," Ella finished.

"Go, Mama," Faye told her. "I'll be here until they come."

Zelena chuckled. "I know." She wrapped her arms around Faye. "I'll see you soon." She embraced Alcina and Regina as well, surprising them. "And you."

Zelena left with Hades.

Regina and Emma were sitting together.

"Hey, Regina?" Emma asked.

"Yeah?" Regina asked.

Emma sighed. "I know that neither you or I or going anywhere, but we're still in danger down here, and any of us can really die and stay stuck down here, and I know I haven't said..."

Regina chuckled, shaking her head. "Emma... You don't have to. I've been trying to find the words myself."

Emma nodded. "Me too. I just needed to know."

Regina looked at her curiously. "Why can you only admit how you feel when one of us is facing certain death?"

Emma chuckled. "I don't know. I guess my armor's been on for such a long time that I... sometimes I forget I don't need it with you."

With a smile, Regina and Emma kissed.

Saphira walked over to Derek. "You didn't have to stay here, Derek. We would be fine. And--"

"And nothing," Derek told her. "There are still a lot of people down here who holds grudges against you. And your family. I'm here for you. Your family. And mine. I wouldn't leave you for the world, Saphira."

Saphira couldn't help but smile, giving him a thankful kiss. "Thank you, Derek."

Tori was a little dizzy, holding a hand over her stomach, which was showing more of her baby bump.

"Tori?" Mathias asked, walking over to check on her. "Are you okay?"

Tori nodded. "Yeah. Just the joys of being a Siren carrying a Siren/Dragon child." She smirked. "Mathias? Do you remember what happened when I was pregnant with Saphira?"

Mathias chuckled. "You mean when you could briefly breathe fire because of having a Siren/Dragon inside of you? Yes. I remember clearly."

"That's probably gonna happen for this child," Tori pointed out. "Once the baby is developed enough, I'll briefly be able to breathe fire."

Saphira smirked. "All four of the Matthews breathing fire? We'll be burning the Underbrooke or Storybrooke down. Tearing everything down."

The four Matthews smirked, while the others smiled in amusement.

Mathias wrapped his arm around Tori. "It'll be all okay, Tori. We're gonna be fine."

Tori leaned her head on his shoulder. "I know, Mathias. I know."

Ella noticed Killian looking out of the window, walking closer. "Killian? You okay?"

Killian nodded. "Yeah. Just after all of the fighting earlier... I couldn't help but think..."

"Of Liam," Ella finished. "I'm sorry."

Killian chuckled without humor, shaking his head. "You shouldn't be the one sorry, Ella. But Freya, Jefferson, Grace, Rose, Henry, Alcina? Lisa, Blake and Christopher? Tori, Saphira, Mathias and Faye? Derek, Cyrus and Axel? They're right not to trust Hades. So are you, Ella."

"And you," Ella told him. "You didn't trust him either, Killian. Either way, we'll make it all out together."

Killian nodded. Ella smiled, embracing him. They looked at each other, kissing slowly and passionately.

Cyrus looked around, seeing Axel was about to walk away. "Axel, you okay?"

"Yeah," Axel answered. "I just... Cyrus, I need a moment."

Axel walked away.

"What do you say?" Rose asked. "Cyrus?" Cyrus looked at her. "You wanna help me and Henry with Operation Firebird? Just one last time?"

"Please?" Henry added. "You could be a lot of help. Since, you know, our powers come from you and your dad, Cyrus. We're barely learning. You can help us.

Cyrus chuckled. "Do I wanna help? Of course I do."

They smiled.

Alcina turned to Robin, as they both held their twins, smiling slightly. "When we get them home, we can finally name them, Robin. It'll be safe to name them now that Hades can't trap them with their names on tombstones like for the rest of us."

Robin chuckled. "Indeed. Alcina?" Alcina looked up. "I love you."

Alcina smiled. "I love you, too, Robin."

They kissed passionately.

Hallway

Axel was walking alone, hearing someone with wolf hearing. "Who's there?"

Axel saw a shadow nearby, using wolf speed to rush closer, but the shadow seemed to disappear, turning around when he heard someone appear behind him.

Gold was there. "It's just me, dearie. Don't worry." He took Axel's heart with magic before Axel could move. "You'll remember none of this."

Underground

The elevator slowly came to a jerky stop at the bottom. Grace had her arms linked with Freya and Jefferson's. Christopher had his arms around Lisa and Blake, as they all tried to stay stable.

"What the hell?" Jefferson asked. "You guys all right?"

They nodded.

"Looks like this is our stop," Lisa told them.

They opened the gate, stepping out, making their way through the dark tunnel.

Morning - Courthouse

Emma, Ella and Cleo were here, waiting for Emma and Ella's track records to be examined.

"How long could this take?" Emma asked impatiently. "You take a file out of the drawer, you had it over. How hard is that? Maybe I can motivate them to speed up."

Cleo looked at her jacket. "Armor."

"What?" Ella asked.

"My jacket, the one you like to ridicule, it's my armor," Cleo answered.

"What are you talking about?" Ella asked.

They stood, walking to the desk.

"You're not thinking clearly," Cleo pointed out. "You're emotional. It's what keeps getting you two in trouble. Can I give you a piece of advice? You got to learn how to protect yourselves. Look, whatever we find here, that ain't gonna be he end all be all. Find your armor."

A clerk walked over with the files. "I have your files."

Emma and Ella took the files.

"They're too thin," Ella told her, opening hers. "It's the same damn article."

Emma opened her file, seeing another sheet of paper. "There's something on the boy who brought us in, Ella. Looks like he ran away and fell out of the system. The inventory of what we came in with."

Cleo patted them on the backs. "I'm sorry."

Ella looked at the clerk. "Something's missing. Can you just take another look?"

The clerk shook her head. "That's all there is."

"Just look again," Emma told her. "Okay, you know what? We can look."

Emma and Ella tried to go behind the counter, but Cleo stopped them.

"Step back or I'll have to call security," the clerk warned.

Emma raised her voice angrily. "We can just look through the file!"

Cleo sighed. "Emma, Ella, it's a dead end."

"You saw my folder, and Emma's," Ella told her. "Things could fall out of the folders and other things."

"Come on, you're grasping at straws," Cleo told them.

"Straws are all we have!" Emma snapped. "That's it! That's... straws are it."

Ella placed her hands on Emma's arms. "Calm down."

Cleo sighed, giving them both a look. "You said you would go quietly if we did this. We gave a day, we did it, now let's go, come on."

Ella shook her head. "We're not giving up."

"Maybe you should," Cleo told them. "But don't do it because we had a deal. Do it for yourselves. Go back to Phoenix and start again, looking front ways this time. Once you've paid the price for everything you've done, you can start building new lives."

"You just want to drag our asses back to Arizona so you can get the money for bringing us in," Emma told her.

"I didn't have to give up a whole damn day to do this for you, did I?" Cleo asked. "I kept my word, now you're gonna keep yours. Hate me all you want, but tomorrow, we are going back to Phoenix. Do you understand?"

Ella nodded. "Understood."

"Come on, kids," Cleo told them. "It's Arizona. It's not Hell."

Street

Regina, Emma, Henry, Rose and Cyrus were now out in front of the library. Cyrus, Henry and Rose were using their powers to help the residents of Underworld what their unfinished business was.

"There you go, Stealthy," Henry told him. "That's your unfinished business."

Stealthy chuckled. "Oh, wow. I hadn't realized how much resentment I held against Bashful. Thank you. And, um, when you get back, can you tell my brothers I miss them?"

Emma nodded in answer. "We will. You know, Leroy..." She realized Stealthy wouldn't know who that was. "Grumpy. He talks about you a lot."

David and Axel walked outside to join them.

"Any sign of Aunt Freya, Uncle Jefferson, Grace, Lisa and Blake?" Rose asked.

"No," David answered. "But we still have some time before the portal even opens."

Cruella walked toward them angrily, pushing people aside. "Don't count on it. That's right, vermin. Scatter!"

"Sorry, Cruella," Cyrus told her sarcastically. "But I don't think your unfinished business is going to take you to any place you'd like."

Cruella scoffed. "Oh, I'm not here to collect my story. I want to stay in this marvelous realm. You see, with Hades departing, the Underworld is going to need a new ruler."

"You?" David asked skeptically.

Cruella smirked, chuckling. "It's the only upside to Lisa and Grace sentencing me to this fate. But the job would be meaningless without a citizenry to torment."

David rolled his eyes. "Cruella. We're not gonna let you harm these people."

"Oh, you think I'm just going to keep them here?" Cruella asked. "Oh, no, I'm going to keep all of you here. It's only fair, considering it was Henry, Rose and Grace who refused to write me back to life, and David, you dissolved my James, the best toy in the whole playpen."

Rose scoffed. "I'm still waiting to hear how you're going to stop us from leaving, Fuzzy. Because all your bag can do is make a dog roll over and beg. Which is exactly why Axel will never turn into a wolf while he's right you. No offense, Axel."

Axel nodded sarcastically. "None taken. But it's also why Saphira, Mathias and Faye can't turn to Dragon form around her, either, Rose. Since you all told me what happened the last time Saphira and Mathias turned Dragon around her."

"And nearly got everyone else killed," Cyrus agreed. "But is Axel doesn't go wolf. And Saphira, Mathias and Faye don't go Dragon? You can't do anything to hurt us, Cruella."

Cruella chuckled. "True, Cyrus. I don't have the magic to keep you all penned in here."

Blind Witch appeared beside Cruella. "But I do."

Blind Witch used her magic to open the library doors, and to force David, Emma, Regina, Henry, Rose, Cyrus and Axel inside to rejoin the others who were still inside, before locking them in.

Inside

David tried to open the doors. "What the hell?"

Saphira walked closer. "Out of the way, David. You forced our hands, kid eater!"

Saphira breathed fire at the doors, but a magical barrier made the fire burn back at Saphira, making her fall.

Derek and Faye ran to help her up. "Saphira! Are you okay?"

Tori, Mathias and Faye made sure that Saphira was okay, but she was severely burned by her own fire cast back at her by the spell.

"Saphira?" Mathias asked. "Bloody hell."

Tori looked at the doors in shock. "What the bloody hell? No way."

Cruella taunted them from outside. "That's right. No one's getting out of here before sunset when the portal closes, and then no one's getting out."

Blind Witch smiled. "Consider it payback, Regina! For tricking those children into burning me in my own oven."

Cruella laughed. "Ta ta! Oh, it's going to be a nice eternity after all, at least for us."

Blind Witch and Cruella walked off together.

Underground Tunnels

The Hatters and Christopher were walking together, coming across a stone table with brass scales on it.

Lisa attempted to read the writing, but didn't understand the Greek ruins. "The instructions couldn't be in English?"

Christopher chuckled, reading with ease. "'Only a heart filled with true love can pass'."

Freya looked at him in surprise. "Seriously?"

Christopher nodded, amused. "I might not have been able to teach Blake and Lisa their native Greek tongue, but I was taught it."

"The only question is, what the hell does it mean?" Grace asked.

"I think I know," Freya told them. "I think I have to weigh my heart to see if my love for Jefferson is true."

"Well, we already know it is, Mama," Grace told her. "I mean, you and Papa kissing each other and kissing me and Lisa on the heads after you woke up broke the second Curse."

Lisa smiled, nodding. "We know, Grace."

Blake removed Freya's heart from the bag. "Here goes."

Blake slowly placed the heart on the scales. Everyone backed.

Lisa sighed. "Okay. So what happens now?"

Freya suddenly let out a sharp and pained gasp.

Jefferson caught her as she fell, worried, horrified. "Cilla? What's wrong?"

Freya struggled to speak from the page. "The pedestal. Get my heart off." Jefferson went to take her heart off, but was suddenly engulfed by flames, screaming in pain. "Jefferson? Jefferson!"

Grace, Lisa and Blake were worried and overwhelmed with horror, stepping forward.

Christopher stopped them. "Wait. This is the test."

They were blocked from the pedestal by a barrier.

Jefferson looked at Freya. "Get your heart!" Freya shook her head, running to Jefferson, removing him from the fire. They fell to the ground, with Freya half on top of Jefferson, breathing heavily. The door to the ambrosia tree opened, and they all looked up in surprise. Jefferson was breathing heavily from the pain. "What the hell is that?"

Lisa smiled. "It's true love." They helped Freya and Jefferson. "Freya, Jefferson, you chose each other. Papa's right. That was the test."

They smiled.

Night - Motel Room

Emma and Ella were watching Cleo to make sure she was really asleep, before they pulled on their jackets, carefully and quietly leaving.

Courthouse

Emma and Ella were here, going through the drawers, looking for their files, hearing a door creak, grabbing blunt weapons, hiding behind walls, jumping out, coming face to face with Cleo.

Ella jumped. "Oh, God! Jeez. Cleo, you scared the hell out of us."

Cleo grabbed the tools from Emma and Ella. "What are you doing?"

"I know we had a deal, but we can't--" Emma started.

Cleo nodded. "Yes, you can, and you will."

"You want your bail money that bad?" Emma asked. "Did you call security?" Cleo slapped her across the face. "Ow!"

"Do you think a security guard is gonna show up and ask to see my license and give me my money?" Cleo asked. "All they're gonna see is three moron criminals on government property asking to get shot."

"Then why are you here?" Ella asked.

"Look, I'm sure that your parents had reasons they gave you up, okay?" Cleo asked. "But you finding out, what good is that gonna do you? They would want you to focus on what you've got now."

"How do you know what our parents would want?" Ella asked.

Cleo sighed. "Because I know things, and sometimes you would do yourselves some good listening to me. Ella, Emma, look what I'm risking being here. Come on, let's go."

They went to leave, but heard police sirens outside.

A man called. "This is the police. Come out with your hands over your head!"

Ella made a face. "Okay, come on. Damn it." Cleo started running, with Ella and Emma following her. "Stand back."

Ella kicked a window open, smashing the glass. Cleo sighed, jumping from the window, landing on her stomach on the ground on top of the broken glass. Emma and Ella jumped out, landing on their feet, before they all took off at a run.

Ambrosia Chamber

The Hatters and Jefferson ran into the chamber, seeing that all the fruit was dead and the tree had been cut.

Grace was heartbroken, horrified, knowing what this meant. "No." She picked up an ambrosia, which turned to dust. "The ambrosia are dead."

Christopher touched the trunk. "And have been for some time."

'Someone cut it," Grace told them.

Blake was angry. "Not somebody. Hades. We all knew we couldn't trust him."

Freya shook her head angrily, tears in her eyes. "Of course we couldn't."

"Hades probably did this ages ago when Orpheus and Eurydice used them to escape," Christopher told them.

"Then why lie to us?" Lisa asked. "Why send us after dead fruit?"

Jefferson sighed. "Because he doesn't want us coming with him to Storybrooke."

Library

The others were trying to find a way out.

"I don't get it," Regina told them. "The Blind Witch's spells are always half baked."

"This isn't her spell," Alcina told them. "Cyrus just told us that there's Divine magic in this spell to keep us trapped here. Pure Divine magic."

Saphira angrily shoved a table, making it all topple over. "Hades. He wants us trapped in here."

Tori pointed at the others. "We told you we couldn't trust him. We told you."

"You really wanna do 'I told you so' now, Tori?" David asked. "Now?"

Mathias shrugged. "Might as well. Since we're trapped here."

Killian nodded in agreement. "Bloody right, Mathias. Tori's right as well."

Derek shook his head. "No. We always find a way out. Even when there is no way. This isn't any different."

Saphira sighed. "Glad to see that the optimism of heroes is rubbing off on you, Derek. A former thief."

"Come on, guys," Ella told them. "Calm down. Think. We can find a way out."

Faye was worried. "Mother would never leave me here, and believe what you want, after what happened with Cora, she wouldn't leave Aunt Ally and Aunt Gina here, either."

"We know, Faye," Tori told her. "We know."

"Zelena wouldn't leave," Mathias agreed. "But that means Hades is using her, too."

Rose sighed, taking a deep breath. "Well, I have a connection to Divine magic. It's just up to me learning how to open up that connection for something like this."

Cyrus took Rose's hand to help her. "Here. I can help you, Rose. Okay?"

Rose looked at Cyrus, nodding.

"Rose," Axel told them. "Cyrus. Be careful. We don't know if it's gonna retaliate."

Henry nodded in agreement. "Like it did to Saphira. And we have to hurry. But like Axel said. Be careful."

Rose and Cyrus raised their hands. Rose's hands glowed rose red, while Cyrus' hands glowed metallic silver. The barrier pushed back, but Rose and Cyrus could keep it under control for the most part.

Cemetery

Zelena and Hades were waiting for the portal to open, which it finally did.

"It's open now, but it won't stay open much longer," Hades told her. "15 minutes tops."

Zelena looked behind her. "They should've been here by now."

"I don't know what's keeping them, but we can't wait," Hades told her. The ground was shaking. "Zelena, we don't have time."

"I can't leave my daughter and my sisters here," Zelena told him.

"They're heroes," Hades told her. "They'll get here in time."

"Do you really think so?" Zelena asked.

Hades scoffed. "Without me in their way, what could possibly stop them?"

Zelena smiled slightly. "All right, then. Let's go."

Hades helped Zelena through the portal. Before following her, he took out a crystal, allowing it to glow.

Pan's Pawnshop

Gold walked in.

Peter was waiting. "Where have you been? We're running out of time."

"Still can't bring yourself to trust little Rumple, can you, Papa?" Gold asked.

"You always were a touchy boy," Peter told him. "No wonder where Priscilla and Alcina get it from." Gold glared at him. The ground was shaking. "I take it that means it's not going to be open much longer." Gold peered in at a heart in his pouch. "Shall we?"

"Not quite yet," Gold answered. "Timing is everything. Have patience, Papa."

The rumbling continued. Peter looked around, slightly nervous.

Ambrosia Chamber

The Hatters and Christopher were still here.

Freya was kneeling, looking for anything from the ambrosia tree that could save Jefferson. "There must be seeds or clippings or something we could use to help save you."

Jefferson took Freya's hand to pull her up. "Hades tricked us into coming down here. There's no telling what he's done to everyone up there. Or what he'll do if he reaches Storybrooke."

The rumbling became stronger, knocking them off balance.

"We need to get out of here," Christopher told them.

Grace shook her head worriedly. "Not without the ambrosia. It's the only way we can..."

Jefferson took her by the hand. "We'll find another way up, I promise." He looked at Lisa and Blake, nodding. "But we have to go."

Lisa and Blake nodded, before they groaned in pain when they felt the effects of whatever Hades was doing with the crystal.

"What's going on?" Christopher asked worriedly.

"I don't know," Blake told them. "But it feels like..."

"Our power's draining," Lisa answered. "Hades. He's taking our power."

"Come on," Christopher told them. "Come on, let's go."

They left at a run to get to the elevator.

Night - Alley

Emma, Ella and Cleo were running down the alleyway. The sirens could still be heard. Cleo groaned in pain, collapsing against a wall, holding her stomach, and when she pulled her hand away, it was covered in pain. Emma and Ella looked at her in shock.

"Blood?" Emma asked. "We didn't hear a shot."

Cleo shook her head. "It's not a shot."

Cleo pulled back her jacket to reveal a shard of glass stuck in her stomach.

Ella knelt next to her. "Glass from the window. I'm so sorry. We didn't..."

Emma looked in the direction of the wailing sirens. "An ambulance. You're gonna be okay. You're gonna be fine."

Cleo sighed. "It's not an ambulance. That's the cops. Don't get caught here."

"They'll be able to help you, and we'll call your family," Ella told her.

"I have no family," Cleo told them.

Ella frowned in confusion. "Your little girl. I saw the picture."

Cleo chuckled sadly. "She has no idea who I am."

"What?" Emma asked.

"I took that 10 years ago from across the street," Cleo explained.

"You gave her up," Emma realized. "Just like Ella and I were. Just like what Ella had to do."

Cleo nodded. "You're holding on too tight. Ella, Emma, let go. Let go."

Cleo slowly died in front of them, horrifying them both.

Ella was in complete shock. "Emma... Emma?"

Hearing voices and sirens in the distance, Emma knew that they had no choice to run, pulling her sister up from the ground, pulling her with her at a run. "Ella, come on. Run!"

Underground Mines

As they were running up to the elevator, Jefferson was holding Grace and Freya by the hands, and Christopher was holding Lisa and Blake's.

"Come on," Grace told them. "We don't have much time before the portal closes." Christopher and Jefferson stopped. "What?"

Christopher looked at them sadly, trying to smile. "We're not going up with you. We never were. We're never gonna find anything up there to save Jefferson, and I can never leave."

"But you said..." Blake trailed off.

"It was the only way we could get you to leave that chamber," Jefferson told them.

Freya shook her head with tears in her eyes. "No. Jefferson, we came to the Underworld to save you. I'm not going back without you."

Jefferson tried to fight back his tears. "I'm afraid we don't have that choice, Cilla. Look, I just want to say my goodbyes down here without everyone watching."

Grace teared up, shaking her head. "No, Papa."

Lisa and Blake embraced their father in tears. "Papa..."

Christopher held them close with tears in his eyes. "Lisa, Blake, I am so glad for the time that we got here together down here, even if we weren't supposed to have this time together. But once Hades is dealt with, once you get your power back and he is dead, I will be able to move on from this place, and you will see me again. Remember what Zeus said about you two being allowed in Olympus with our family. Lisa. Blake. I love you. This is not goodbye. This is just until then."

Lisa and Blake nodded in understanding, still crying as they turned to embrace Jefferson.

Jefferson knelt down to embrace Grace, Lisa and Blake. "I love all of you. Grace, I've loved you since the day you were born. Lisa, Blake, even if not by blood, you're my family, and I love you just the same."

Lisa nodded. "We love you too, Jefferson."

"Thank you, Jefferson, for everything," Blake told him.

Grace was crying, shaking her head. "I can't leave you, Papa. I can't."

Jefferson was pained by her reaction, holding her close. "You have to, Grace. You have to be there for Cilla, just like Cilla will be there for you, Lisa and Blake." Freya was crying, pulling the three teens into the elevator behind her, having to be strong even though her mind was impossibly broken by this point and she could barely stand this moment, devastated. Jefferson stood to hold her, knowing this. "We've already had more time that anyone has ever had together, Cilla. I loved you for every single moment, Priscilla, and I always will."

Freya nodded, trying not to cry though failing that fight. "I love you just as much, Jefferson. For the longest time, you were the only constant in my life. The only thing I could love with all my heart, the one that I could have a family with. I just..." Her voice was breaking. "I don't know how to say goodbye."

Jefferson smiled sadly through his own tears, placing his hand on her cheek to wipe away hers. "Well, then don't. I know you won't be okay up there, Cilla, with everything going on in your mind. Just promise me that you won't give into it. Grace, Lisa and Blake need you."

Freya nodded unsteadily. "And I need them. I can't promise you that I'll be okay, Jefferson."

"I know," Jefferson told her sadly.

Grace looked at Jefferson. "But then you have to promise us something too. Don't let us be your unfinished business. Move on from here. Don't wait for us to show up."

Jefferson took a shaky breath, nodding. "I think I can manage that, Grace." He looked at his family for a painful, devastated filled moment. "I love all of you."

Grace embraced him one more time, sobbing. "I love you, Papa."

Lisa and Blake embraced Jefferson and Christopher tightly, crying at having to be separated from their adoptive father and their actual father all over again.

"We love both of you," Lisa told them.

Blake shook his head. "We could never have made it this far without either of you."

Christopher held them. "We know. But we know you can get your power back. Lisa... Blake... we love you."

Jefferson nodded in agreement with tears.

Freya and Jefferson held each other tightly in an embrace, crying.

"I love you," Jefferson told her.

"I love you, too," Freya told him.

Freya and Jefferson kissed passionately, holding one another tightly, pulling away painfully. Christopher and Jefferson guided their family into the elevator gently, pulling down the gate. Freya held onto Jefferson's hand as the elevator slowly began to take them up, continuing to look at him as he stepped forward and kissed her hand three times. They both tried to hold onto one another's hand for as long as they could, not letting go until they had too when the elevator was too high. Even though they were too high, Freya kept reaching for Jefferson's hand, causing him and their family to cry harder. Christopher and Jefferson watched the elevator take their family up, tears falling.

Boston

Day - Street

Emma and Ella were in Ella's car.

"Ella, did you find her?" Emma asked. "Cleo's daughter?"

"Yeah," Ella answered. "I wanted to go in there. I'm not sure what I'm gonna say, Emma. I'm just..."

"You think that if you can do this for Cleo, maybe you can do this for your own kids," Emma answered.

"Maybe," Ella answered. "I just have to find out their names and where they are. I just... I need to do this, Emma."

Emma nodded knowingly. "I know, Ella." Ella hesitated on going inside. Emma knew why. "You want me to go in with you?"

Ella managed a small smile, nodding. "Thank you, Emma."

Emma nodded. "But if I do this for you, I want you to do something with me. I'm doing a trial period for a bailbonds person. I want you to do it with me. It can clean both of our acts up. And maybe it'll be easier for you to find your kids, Ella."

Ella considered this, nodding. "Okay."

They both got out of the car.

Shop

Emma and Ella walked into the shop to talk to Tasha.

"Hi," Emma told her.

"Hi," Tasha told them. "Can I help you?"

"Maybe," Ella answered, handing her the photo that Cleo kept of her in her purse.

"Where did you get this?" Tasha asked.

"So it's you, Tasha Morris?" Ella asked.

Tasha nodded. "I've never seen this picture before, but, yeah, that looks like me. Am I in some kind of trouble?"

Ella smiled sadly, shaking her head. "Here's the thing. We... knew your birth mother, Cleo Fox."

Tasha took this in. "Oh. Oh, my God."

Ella placed Cleo's file in front of her. "I collected everything I could find about her. I have access to some records from work. I just thought... you might want to know where you came from."

Tasha was happy by her thought. "Is she looking for me?"

Emma looked away. "She's..."

Tasha's smile faded in realization that she was dead. "Oh."

"I'm sorry," Emma told her.

Tasha nodded numbly. "Thanks." Emma and Ella turned to leave. "Hey, thank you so much."

They chuckled sadly, turning to go.

Emma saw her red leather jacket. "Hey, could you ring this up for me?"

"Yeah, of course," Tasha answered.

Emma took the red jacket, putting it on. "I got to get to work."

Ella found her blue leather jacket, pulling it on. "I'll take this one. We have to go."

Now

Underworld

Elevator

Grace, Lisa and Blake were crying, holding each other and Freya. Freya held onto them, no longer crying, in complete numb. They were all taking a moment to calm down and collect themselves before facing the others.

Library

The others were still here. Freya, Grace, Lisa and Blake stepped out of the elevator. They turned to face them, surprised.

"Aunt Freya?" Henry asked. "Lisa? Grace? Blake?"

Lisa's voice broke as she embraced him. "Henry."

Henry was confused and concerned, holding Lisa in worry.

Faye saw how upset Blake was, walking closer. "Blake?"

"I can't talk about it, Faye," Blake told her, embracing her out of instinct, to which she returned in concern.

Grace sobbed. "Axel..."

"Grace?" Axel asked. "Where's Jefferson?"

"Where's Christopher?" Alcina added. "Is Jefferson..." Grace was trying not to cry again. Axel saw this, embracing her. Alcina knew that it meant something bad, worried about her sister's state of mind, embracing her. "Cilla? What happened?"

"We'll explain later," Freya told them. "We have to hurry to get to the thing."

"Rose and Cyrus are trying," Saphira told them. "The Blind Witch cast a spell trapping here. Divine magic."

"She got it from Hades," Tori told them. "Obviously. This whole this was a setup to keep us trapped in the Underworld."

Lisa sighed. "Yeah. We know."

"You mean..." Mathias trailed off. "The ambrosia?"

"It wasn't there," Blake finished. "Hades jacked my powers and Lisa's."

"What?" Derek asked. "How?"

"Hey, Derek," Cyrus told him. "Let's ask questions after we get out of here. Okay?"

"Yeah," Derek answered. "Sorry, Cyrus."

Rose was heartbroken. "So, Uncle Jefferson. He... he can't leave?"

"He can move on," Lisa told them. "But Jefferson and Papa wanted to make sure that we all got out even if they couldn't."

"Well, then let's give them their wish," Mathias told them.

Tori, Saphira and Faye nodded. "Yeah."

"But with Lisa and Blake's powers gone?" Emma asked. "Hades has them. Which means they can't break this barrier down."

"Thanks, Captain Obvious," Ella told her sarcastically. "Emma, Cyrus said it. Divine magic. Rose, Cyrus, Grace."

"Rose, Cyrus and Grace have a connection to Divine magic," Regina told them. "They should be able to break the barrier. If they can open up a big enough connection."

"Well, great," Killian told them sarcastically. "How the bloody hell can they do that? No offense. It's just that time is wasting. We're all gonna be trapped here."

Grace shook her head angrily, furious and incredibly driven and determined by her anger and devastation, walking toward the doors. "No, we won't. Stand back."

Everyone backed away.

"Grace..." Alcina trailed off in concern. "Be careful. Divine magic connection plus Illusionist power?"

Grace sighed. "I got it, Aunt Ally."

Using her fury and devastation as tools to tap into the connection to Divine power, Grace closed her eyes, and when she opened them, they were glowing with light purple power. Everything was shaking around here, more so than the rumbling earlier, in a deadly quake that caused the library to start to collapse. Rose, Cyrus and Grace all threw bursts of their magic at the doors, and Grace's power along with theirs broke the barrier down, and nearly took down the building around them because of Grace's Illusionist power bringing it down around them.

David was stunned. "You did it. Come on. It's getting late. Let's get out of here."

Everyone started to leave.

Henry grabbed his backpack, picking up a book with all the finished loose pages, setting it down in plain sight. "People will find them."

Henry ran after the others.

Pan's Pawnshop

Peter and Gold were still here, feeling the tremors quaking and nearly bringing down the shop around them.

"What the hell is that?" Peter asked.

"I'm guessing that is Grace," Gold answered. "Hades must have double crossed them. Something this powerful from Grace can only mean that Jefferson can't return home with us."

"But the others can," Peter told him. "It's nearly time. We should go. We don't want to miss our ticket home."

Gold pulled out the heart. "Now, are you ready?"

"Yes," Peter answered. "Thank you, son."

Gold smirked. "Pleasure's all mine, Papa."

Gold pushed the heart into Peter's chest.

Peter was breathing heavily in pain, leaning on Gold for support. "Wait, something... wait, something's wrong."

"Does it feel different than you remembered?" Gold asked.

Peter coughed. "What's happening? What did you do?"

"That wasn't really Axel's heart I put inside you," Gold told him. "I knew you or your shadow could be watching. Axel's wolf sense nearly catching your shadow proved that. Whilst you were otherwise distracted, I returned Axel's heart to him."

"What did you put in me?" Peter asked.

Gold chuckled. "A wine skin I glamoured, filled with water, from the River of Souls."

Horrified, Peter gasped for breath in pain. "No. Why?"

"Villains don't get happy endings, Papa," Gold told him. "And I'm here to make sure you never get yours." He pushed Peter to the floor. After a few more moments of breathing heavily in pain, Peter began to slowly disappear and turn into water, which floated away. "Goodbye, Papa. For good this time."

Gold picked up Pandora's Box, making his way back to where a sleeping Belle laid, unlocking the box. Belle disappeared in a cloud of red smoke, being transported into the box.

Cemetery

Gold got to the cemetery the same time the others did. "I'm guessing Grace's power shaking the entire Underworld like this is a sign that Jefferson won't be joining us on the trip back?"

They didn't answer, glaring at him, not in the mood for this.

"Tell me that Belle is safe," Tori told him.

Gold showed her Pandora's Box. "Of course she is. Don't worry, Tori. You can wake her up as soon as we're home."

"Only if Belle knows that Hades is gone," Mathias reminded him.

Gold nodded in remembrance, climbing through the portal.

"The portal, it's closing," Emma told them.

"Hurry, hurry, hurry!" Ella told them.

"Go!" Saphira told them.

"Come on, everyone," Regina told them.

Everyone made it through the portal, but Freya, Grace, Lisa and Blake, who were looking back in despair.

Alcina stopped when she saw that they had. "Guys. I'm sorry there wasn't some other way. You did the best for Jefferson and Christopher."

Blake shook his head. "I don't know. Did we?"

"All I know is, I can't lose anyone else, Ally," Freya told her.

Alcina took her hand sadly. "I know, Cilla. Let's go."

Lisa and Grace nodded sadly. "Yeah."

They all went through the portal. Freya hesitated before she did, looking at the Underworld, her mind clearly on Jefferson, but having no choice but to leave, turning, going through the portal. The portal closed, and the clock hands stopped on 8:15, before ticking.
