chapter 18 - Ruby Slippers
From 5.17 "Her Handsome Hero", on the dock, When Gaston stormed over, nearly shooting more of her family than just Gold or the Matthews, but the Hatters and Alcina too, Freya pushed Gaston away from them, with more force than she had meant to, making him fall into the River, turning him into a lost soul, in shock from what she had done.
Freya/Priscilla: (voice over) "Previously on Worlds Colliding (Once Upon a Time)."
Hades appeared. "Freya is still mine, and the rest of your family? That depends. I have a list of things that I want Freya to do for me, and this was the only way to get her started down that path of destruction and mayhem, all over again. See, if Freya wants to do it, then there's nothing you can do to help her. Freya, you enjoyed pushing Gaston into the water." Freya glared at him, shaking her head. "You can lie to them, to yourself, but not to me."
From 5.11 "Mad Witch", in the clock tower, Faye raised the wand, using it to summon a twister, making the glass to the clock tower smash, and Zelena begin to get sucked away.
Zelena held onto the glass tightly. "You will see me again!"
Zelena screamed as she was sucked into the twister, it taking her away.
Faye laughed, looking outside to watch the twister go. "Enjoy Oz, Mama."
From 5.17 "Her Handsome Hero", in Granny's, Zelena opened the tray, revealing her name written on a card, and the dead flower Hades had picked from the docks wrapped in red cloth with a white bow tied around it.
Regina: (voice over from 5.17 Her Handsome Hero) "What happened between you and Hades?"
Zelena took out the dead flower, knowing who it was from, smiling slightly.
Zelena: (voice over from 5.17 Her Handsome Hero) "He fell in love with me."
From 5.17 "Her Handsome Hero", in the woods, Regina, Emma, Rose, Ella and Cyrus used their magic to bring the monster down.
Rose saw what it was. "Don't kill it!"
Axel was stunned. "A werewolf."
Snow put Ruby's cloak over the wolf to turn her back into Ruby, kneeling next to her, trying to wake her up. "Red?"

Hatter House - Living Room
The group was gathered around the unconscious Ruby as they laid her down. The Hatters, Christopher, and Matthews and Alcina weren't there yet.
Snow was relieved to see one of her old friends, but worried about her. "Is she okay?"
"Why is she down here?" David asked.
"She's not..." Henry trailed off.
"No," Killian answered. "She's still breathing."
"Well?" Axel asked. "How long do you think she'll be out?"
Regina put her hand on her hip. "I don't know. We hit her with some strong stuff."
"Where has she been?" Rose asked. "Since she left Storybrooke?"
Snow shook her head. "I don't know, she told me and Freya she was going to find her pack."
"Unless they're dead?" Ella asked. "I'd say she's sniffing in the wrong place."
"Any explanation for what she's doing here?" Cyrus asked. "I don't think she's looking for Axel."
Axel shook his head. "I've never even seen another werewolf before. Besides my mother and brother. Before they died."
"That doesn't mean you didn't come from the same pack she did, Axel," Emma told him. "She's from the Enchanted Forest. You're from Camelot."
Snow was checking on Ruby, worried.
David placed a hand on her shoulder. "Relax. She's fine, Snow. She'll wake up."
"She will," Henry agreed. "We just have to find out what she's doing here."
"Well?" Rose asked. "How are we gonna do that?"
"Did you guys find anything?" Henry asked. "You know, before you came back here?"
"No," Cyrus answered. "But we should probably call the Hatters. Matthews. Alcina. Christopher."
"Yeah," Killian agreed. "Cyrus is right. Freya will certainly want to know one of her old friends is here."
"Well, did you check Ruby's things?" Ella asked. "Anything with her?"
"Did you find anything?" Regina asked. "Anything at all?"
Emma found a piece of tattered, checkered blue and white cloth. "Just this."

Oz
Night - Woods
Ruby was running, leading Mulan along. "Over here, this way."
Mulan followed. "Right behind you." Ruby stopped to catch a scent. Mulan stepped behind her. "What is it?"
"I lost the scent again," Ruby answered.
"Ruby, it's okay," Mulan told her. "We'll find your pack."
"That's what you said yesterday and the day before," Ruby told her. "It's late. Come on."
They walked along.
"Tell me everything you know about this land," Mulan told her.
Ruby shrugged. "There's supposed to be a lot of singing."
"Singing?" Mulan repeated.
"Well, there was a movie," Ruby explained. "I saw it in Storybrooke. I think there was a book, too."
"Ruby, this isn't a book or a movie," Mulan pointed out.
Ruby sighed. "Well, whatever it is, there's no trace of my pack's scent. I don't think they were ever here to begin with."
"Well, we better start looking for a way back to the Enchanted Forest," Mulan told her.
Ruby sniffed. "Wait." They heard a dog growling, standing back to back, circling. Mulan drew her sword. Toto ran out from behind the trees toward them. Ruby chuckled. "It's okay. I think I know who this little guy is. Toto?"
Ruby reached for Toto.
They heard Dorothy's voice. "I wouldn't do that if I were you." Ruby and Mulan turned to face her. Mulan aimed her sword. Dorothy aimed her crossbow at them. "Toto only barks for one reason, when he has sniffed out a witch. Who is it? Who's the witch?"
"He's not barking because I'm a witch," Ruby told her. "It's..."
"Ruby, it's okay," Mulan told her. "You can tell her."
Ruby looked at Dorothy. "I'm--I'm part wolf, but there's nothing to be scared of. See?"
Ruby reached for Toto.
"Wait, don't!" Dorothy told her. Toto barked, running away. "Toto! Why did you do that? Toto."
Dorothy started to chase the dog.
"Well, let us help you," Ruby told her.
Dorothy turned back. "You've done enough."
"You're going the wrong way," Ruby told her.
"Now you're an expert on Oz?" Dorothy asked.
"No," Ruby answered. "But I can tell you..." She sniffed. "He's headed northwest, straight into the wind, through a juniper field into a valley of pines." Mulan sheathed her sword. Dorothy looked impressed despite herself. "Come on."
Ruby led the way for the two women. A twister appeared.
Dorothy stopped. "No."
"What is it?" Mulan asked.
"It's the Wicked Witch," Dorothy answered. "Let's go."
They walked along.

Zelena's Farmhouse
Zelena was looking at the dead flower Hades had sent.
Hades appeared. "Would you prefer I send you chocolates next time?"
"If you're looking for a thank you, maybe you should write your name on the card next time," Zelena told him.
Hades chuckled. "I'm afraid I didn't come to woo you, Zelena. I came to warn you."
"About what?" Zelena asked.
"You have a visitor from Oz," Hades told her.
"What?" Zelena asked. "Who?"
"Let's just say a werewolf crash landed here," Hades answered. "Feisty, looks good in red."
Zelena became worried. "Oh, no. Oh, that's impossible, not after what I did to her."
"Must have been quite..." Hades trailed off, chuckling. "Well, wicked, for her to chase you all the way down here."
Zelena shook her head. "Wicked doesn't begin to describe it. Whatever goodwill I've earned with Faye, Regina and Alcina, or even Tori, Saphira and Mathias will evaporate the minute they learn the truth of what I did to their friend. I need to leave before they find me."
"The Underworld?" Hades asked. "Easier said than done."
"Need I remind you, I'm very much alive," Zelena told him. "And I have my own way home."
"And your daughter, Faye, you're just gonna leave her down here?" Hades asked.
Zelena shook her head. "No, she's why I'm leaving. If I stay, if I face that wolf, I'm just gonna do something else that I'll regret, and then I'll never see Faye again, and whatever amends I've been making with Regina and Alcina will be over. Same with Tori, Saphira and Mathias."
"You certainly won't get your family by running," Hades told her. "Stay. Face them."
Zelena scoffed lightly. "Let me guess, with you?"
Hades smiled. "We make quite a team. You can trust me, Zelena. I'll give you everything you want."
Zelena sighed. "Sorry, Hades, my time in the Underworld is over."
Hades shrugged. "Do what you must, but just know either way, I'm gonna take care of that wolf."
Hades disappeared into blue fire. Zelena looked near tears.

Pan's Pawnshop
The Matthews, Hatters, Alcina, Christopher and Gold were here. Seeing and hearing things in her head more than just from the madness, Freya was tracing a finger along her skin, using magic to burn a line into her skin, groaning in pain, but still doing it, so she could tell what was real or not. The others heard her groan in pain, looking toward her, in shock and concerned to see this.
Grace stood. "Mama."
"Cilla, no," Alcina told her.
Jefferson worriedly, instantly walked closer, taking Freya's hand to stop her. "Cilla. Stop torturing yourself. Please. Mentally and physically."
Freya shook her head. "No, I sent Gaston to a fate worse than death, just like Papa did to Mama, Jefferson."
Gold stood, giving his daughter a look. "Priscilla, you were trying to protect your family. If anyone understands doing something horrible to protect their family, it's me."
"Yeah, well, I don't wanna end up like you, because you've also tortured your family," Freya replied.
Grace sat next to Freya, holding her other hand, using magic to heal the burn mark Freya had inflicted upon on herself. "And I know if Hades had actually destroyed the contract... then maybe you could live with what happened. But he found a loophole. Pushed you do something he wanted you to do."
"But that doesn't mean you're gonna end up like him, Freya," Blake told her. "And it doesn't mean that you're gonna end up like Gold. Or that you're gonna spiral into doing what Hades wants you to do. Again."
"And now we can free you from Hades's grasp together," Lisa told her. "And we'll make sure that he can't hurt anyone else in this family. We'll make sure that he can't get to Henry. Rose. Grace. Saphira. Tori. Mathias. Alcina. Faye. Jefferson. Derek."
"Or Lisa and Blake," Christopher agreed.
"We can release your name, and Rose, Grace and Alcina's names from the stones, Freya," Saphira told her. "You'll be able to bring Jefferson back. We can make sure that he doesn't get to Gold and Aunt Belle's child. Or Derek and Faye's."
"Or Papa Mathias and Mama Tori's," Faye added. "Or Aunt Ally and Robin's twins."
"And what happens the next time that I do something Hades wants without realizing it, or, worse, I do something he wants while realizing, and I like it like he said I would?" Freya asked.
"Well, you won't," Alcina told her. Freya looked skeptical. Alcina gave her a look. "You won't. I promise. We can make sure of that. Whatever way we can."
"Okay?" Tori asked. "We should probably get back to the house. The others have been trying to get our attention."
Mathias sighed. "Guess they need our help with something. No surprise there. Let's go."
ღ
Hatter House - Living Room
The others were speaking to Ruby. Snow and Ruby embraced tightly.
"The Underworld?" Ruby asked. "I don't understand. I used a tracking spell so the cyclone would bring me to Zelena."
"Ruby..." Emma trailed off. "She's down here, too."
The Hatters, Matthews and Alcina walked in, surprised to see who was there. "Ruby?"
Christopher followed them in. "Who's Ruby?"
"A friend of theirs," Faye answered.
Ruby stood, walking over to her other friend. "Freya, hi."
Freya sighed in relief, embracing Ruby, in shock to see her. "Oh, my God, I can't believe you're here."
Ruby chuckled, returning the embrace. "I missed you, too."
"Wait," Grace told her. "Why... Why are you here?"
"Are you..." Saphira trailed off. "Please tell me you're not dead."
"No," Rose answered. "No. No, she's not. Don't worry."
"She's very much alive," Ella agreed. "Trust me. She's just having... issues."
"Wait," Killian told them. "Guys. She said she came down here looking for Zelena?"
Regina sighed. "Why am I not surprised? What did Ally's and my sister do now? Slash Faye's mother."
"It's my friend, Dorothy," Ruby explained. "Zelena wanted her magic slippers so that she could get back to Faye."
"Ruby?" Tori asked. "What did Zelena do to your friend?"
"That's why I'm here," Ruby told them. "I don't know. Dorothy went to face her and just disappeared. Mulan and I looked everywhere, but we couldn't find her." She sighed, looking at her best friends. "Snow, Freya, this is all my fault. None of this would have happened if I hadn't shown up in Oz. It's just one more life that I have destroyed because of what I am."
"That is not true," Snow told her. "And you know it."
Axel sighed. "Trust me. I know the feeling of destroying lives because of what I am."
Ruby looked at him in curiosity. "Wait. Are you..."
"A wolf?" Axel finished. "Like you. Yeah. My name's Axel."
"Forgive him," Cyrus told her. "Axel's not used to seeing other wolves. You're the first wolf he's seen. Besides his mother and brother. Who are both gone."
Ruby nodded in understanding. "I'm sorry, Axel. I know how it feels."
"For the first time..." Axel trailed off. "I'm actually okay."
"Ruby?" Mathias asked. "We'll find out what happened to Dorothy. I promise."
"There's only one way we're gonna do that," Blake told them. "Faye. It's time to talk to Zelena."
Faye sighed. "Yep. I'll go deal with my mother. Again."
"I'll go with," Blake told her.
"Thanks, Blake," Faye told him.
"Anytime, lollipop," Blake replied.
Faye and Blake smirked, smiling slightly at each other.
"Gina and I are coming," Alcina told her. "I actually thought we were getting somewhere with her, Faye."
"A few more of us are going, too," Jefferson told them. "It's not safe out there. Especially recently. Especially after what just happened."
Emma and Ella frowned. "Wait. What just happened?"
Emma smirked. "Jinx."
Freya sighed. "Long story. Let's just go."
Killian chuckled. "Uh-oh. Freya. Ella's gonna come after you for stealing her phrase. 'Long story'."
Ella smiled, kissing Killian for a brief goodbye. "Killian. I'll give Freya a pass this time. Considering everything. I'll see you soon."
Killian chuckled. "Yes. You will. Be careful."
Ella nodded. "You too."
"David, will you do something while I'm gone?" Snow asked.
"Sure," David answered. "What is it?"
"Well, we haven't..." Snow trailed off. "Neal hasn't heard our voices in days, and I'm getting a little..."
David nodded knowingly. "Yeah. Me too. I'll call him for the both of us."
"Thank you," Snow told him.
"Oh, take Henry, Hook and Cyrus with you," Saphira told him. "Streets aren't safe for anyone to be alone right now."
Cyrus nodded. "Yeah. We'll be careful. I'll make sure they're okay."
Rose looked at Cyrus. "You be careful too. I know you're still more powerful than most people. But not as strong as you used to be. So just be careful, Cyrus."
Cyrus nodded. "You got it, Rose."
David looked at Snow. "Believe me. I will tell Neal the reason why his mother is not on the line. 'Cause she's out doing what she does best, being a hero."
Snow smiled, placing a hand on David's cheek, walking away.
Henry and Lisa were talking.
"Are you okay?" Henry asked. "You seem a little off. Aunt Freya and Uncle Jefferson seem off too. So do Aunt Ally, Blake and Grace, Tori, Saphira, Mathias and Faye."
"We're all a little off, Henry," Lisa told him. "But, no. We're not okay."
"What happened?" Henry asked.
"Don't worry about it right now," Lisa told him. "I'll explain when we get back. Okay?"
Henry nodded. "Okay. I'm gonna go with Grandpa, Hook and Cyrus to the phone booth. Be careful out there, Lisa. Okay?"
Lisa managed a small smile. "Okay. You, too, Henry."
Henry and Lisa shared a hug and sweet kiss, before heading their separate ways.

Street
Henry, David, Killian and Cyrus were walking up to the phone booth, where someone was trying to pull the phone out.
Killian looked at David. "Careful, lad. Hades has eyes and ears everywhere. We can't trust anyone here. Is the line always this long?"
"It's not a line," Cyrus told them. "Something's wrong." They walked up to where Cruella was ordering the men to remove the phone. "Hey! What do you think you're doing?"
"What does it look like, Cyrus darling?" Cruella asked. "I'm fulfilling my mayoral responsibilities by supervising some municipal improvements. Get on with it, Claude. Rip it out."
David tried to stop them. "No, no, no, no! This is the only chance these people have to contact their loved ones."
"Oh, you mean it's your only opportunity to reach out and haunt your infant son," Cruella told him. "Looks like Chisel Chin Jr. will just have to go to bed without what I can imagine are terribly dull bedtime stories."
"Cruella?" Henry asked. "Why are you doing this? Is this because Rose, Grace and I won't bring you back to life?"
Cruella chuckled. "No, Henry darling. I'm not the one that ordered all the phones to be ripped out down here."
Henry sighed. "Hades."
"Well, with all you heroes running around, the place he feels has a little too much hope bubbling up in his realm," Cruella told them.
"Well, you can tell him it's gonna take a lot more than ripping out phones to discourage us," Killian told her.
Cruella smirked. "I will. But in the meantime, if you wanted to strike a deal, I could look the other way while you made one last call. I'm assuming I'd have Henry, Rose and Grace bring me back to life."
Cruella reached out toward Henry.
Cyrus used magic to cause Cruella pain in her arm, making her pull it back. "We're not making deals with you."
Cruella pouted. "Have it your way. Do it, Claude. Ta-ta, darlings."
Cyrus, Henry, Killian and David glared, walking away.

Zelena's Farmhouse - Outside
Zelena was wearing the slippers, trying to click them so she could leave.
Faye used magic, in an outline of blue/green power, to stop her. "Leaving so soon? You're not going anywhere, Mother."
Zelena sighed. "How do you expect me to become actual family material if you won't leave me be?"
Regina chuckled. "Well, we were planning on it. Until someone you screwed over literally dropped out of the sky."
Alcina gave Zelena a look. "Now. What did you do to Dorothy?"

Oz
Night - Woods
Ruby, Dorothy and Mulan were investigating the place where the twister had appeared.
"It touched down right here," Dorothy told them. "Toto? Toto!"
"There's nothing here," Dorothy told them.
"Or here," Mulan told them.
"Toto?" Dorothy called.
Zelena appeared behind them. "Looking for me?" They turned to face her, holding weapons ready. "I see you picked up a few strays while Faye and I were gone."
Ruby glared. "Watch it, Zelena."
"You really want to mess with us again?" Mulan asked.
"You know you and Faye aren't welcome in Oz anymore," Dorothy told her.
"You think I want to be in this emerald-tinted dump?" Zelena asked. "I was banished here by Faye."
"Yeah, I heard Faye redeemed herself so she could have a family with Alcina, Regina, Tori, Saphira, Mathias and Belle," Ruby told her.
"And she's even had a child of her own with Derek, because of a spell I did," Zelena told them.
Dorothy was skeptic. "Right. Faye, Fatale, redeemed herself and has a family other than the Wicked Witch."
"It's the truth," Ruby told her.
Dorothy was impressed, looking at Zelena. "Well, then I guess you lost the only thing you ever had here while in Oz. The love of Faye."
"But you have the love of Oz, Dorothy, and I'm going to go back for my daughter and granddaughter," Zelena told her. "So you're gonna take me straight back to them right now. Where are my silver slippers?"
"You gave them to me, and I'm not going to give them back," Dorothy told her.
"Well, then, maybe you'll think again when you see who I found sniffing through this rubble," Zelena told her, opening a basket to show Dorothy that Toto was inside.
Dorothy stepped closer worriedly. "Toto. Don't you--"
Mulan held Dorothy back to protect her.
"Your mutt for the slippers," Zelena told her. "You've got until sundown tomorrow to decide which you prefer."
Zelena laughed, raising her arm, disappearing in a whirl of green smoke.

Zelena's Farmhouse - Outside
Zelena was facing the others.
"Zelena," Grace told her. "Tell us what you did to Dorothy."
"Fight your instincts," Tori told her. "Help us."
"It's the only way you can get Faye back," Blake told her. "Trust me."
"Blake and Lisa have some experience with mothers like you," Christopher told her. "Their mother won Blake and Lisa back by doing something we never thought she could."
Blake nodded. "She helped us. Sacrificed herself for us."
"Faye deserves that kind of love from you, too," Tori told her.
Zelena sighed, shaking her head. "You don't understand. I'm afraid I can't fix this. Even I can't help Dorothy now."
"Why not?" Emma asked. Zelena sighed, conjuring a mirror in her hand to show them Dorothy, who was sleeping. Ruby looked horrified, heartbroken. "Wait. What? You killed her?"
"Not quite," Zelena answered. "Regina, Alcina, I took a page out of your book."
Regina sighed. "Sleeping curse. You need to wake her up."
"That's what I'm trying to tell you," Zelena told them. "I can't."
Faye shook her head. "Dorothy may have the love of the people of Oz. But there's only one thing that could help her now."
Regina nodded. "True love's kiss."
"No family, unmarried, unloved, all alone," Faye told them. "There's no one that can give Dorothy what she needs."
Zelena shrugged. "I'm afraid sometimes, I'm just... too clever."
Ruby was heartbroken.

Inside
Regina, Alcina, the Matthews and Zelena were talking.
"It's a simple trade, really," Zelena told them. "The slippers for my freedom."
"Freedom?" Tori repeated. "You're not a prisoner."
"Really?" Mathias asked. "You think you're in a position to bargain?"
"You trapped Dorothy in an unbreakable curse," Alcina told her.
"I'm sorry if I'm good at what I do," Zelena told them.
Regina rolled her eyes. "Stop hiding behind all that bluster. You're not proud. You're caught."
Saphira sighed. "Look. We get it. Okay? You did a terrible thing."
"But just because you made one bad move..." Tori trailed off. "Or 30... Doesn't mean you can't make a good one now."
"Zelena..." Mathias trailed off. "You can come back from this."
"Trust us," Alcina told her. "I know." She looked at the others. "We know. All of us do. Me, Tori, Saphira, Mathias, Faye, Gina."
"Alcina's right," Regina told her. "We're all former villains turned heroes."
"You can do the same, Mama," Faye told her.
Zelena chuckled lightly. "You think so?"
"Well, there's only one way to find out," Saphira told her. "If you try. Not for us. For Faye."
"We're willing to play nice for Faye," Tori told her. "Question is... are you?"
"We're not trapping you here," Mathias told her. "We're not making you do anything. But you can do the right thing. If you want to. For Faye."
Zelena considered this, sighing, handing them the slippers, standing, pacing. "Here. You can keep your pep talks. I have no delusions that anything will change. Not you, not me." She sat down, pouring herself a drink. "I hope they wake her. And if you need me, I'll be right here."
"You're right," Alcina told her. "After everything you've done, change will be hard. To Lisa, Henry, Neal, Freya, Jefferson, Gold, Faye, Derek, Tori, Saphira, Mathias, me and Gina... but we changed."
Regina nodded in agreement. "We were worse than you. Worse than Faye. But we changed."
"So can you, Mama," Faye told her. "Please. Just... please."
Zelena didn't know what to say, sighing, drinking.
ღ
Outside
The others were talking.
Ruby was pacing anxiously. "We have to do something. Dorothy is all alone back there. She doesn't have anyone."
Regina, Alcina and the Matthews walked outside with the slippers.
Rose took the slippers to look at. "Not for long. These can at least get you back to Oz." She looked at Regina, Alcina and the Matthews. "Hey. Nice job. How did you get her to hand those over to you?"
"I can answer that," Axel told them. "I was listening. Wolf hearing." Regina, Alcina and the Matthews looked at him. "Sorry." Axel reconsidered, shaking his head. "No, I'm not."
Grace chuckled. "Axel. Get to the point. Please."
Axel smirked a little. "Okay. And you're not going to believe me. But all they did was ask."
"What good are slippers if there is no one back in Oz that can give Dorothy true love's kiss?" Emma asked. "Hang on." She looked at Ruby. "Are you sure there isn't anyone?"
Ruby shook her head. "Her family was awful to her. And the only person that she has ever loved was her deceased Aunt Em."
"She may still be here," Ella told them. "All we have to do is find her."
"Don't worry, Ruby," Grace told her. "We're gonna find her."
Ruby smiled slightly in relief. Snow and Freya both put a reassuring hand on either of her arms.

Ruby, Dorothy and Mulan were making a potion in a cauldron.
"This is the best shot we've got to get Toto back," Ruby told them.
"Are you sure it'll work on her?" Dorothy asked.
Ruby sighed. "Sleeping powder knocked Zelena out before. It should again."
"I just need one more ingredient to give it its kick," Mulan told them. "Poppies."
"I know exactly where we can get some," Dorothy told them.
"I'm coming with you," Ruby told her. "Mulan, keep the cauldron going."
Dorothy looked at Ruby. "I can handle myself."
"I wasn't asking permission," Ruby replied. Dorothy and Ruby exchanged a long look, walking away. Mulan looked between them, before looking down. Dorothy and Ruby were walking in silence, before Ruby broke the quiet. "Either you're still mad at me, or you don't like to talk."
"You really want me to answer that?" Dorothy asked.
"Toto's more than a pet, isn't he?" Ruby asked.
"You're right, I don't like to talk," Dorothy told her.
"Shouldn't I know what we're fighting for?" Ruby asked.
Dorothy sighed. "Fine. You want to know? The first time I visited Oz, I was just a kid. I wasn't here long, but when I went back to Kansas, I told my family what happened."
"What, they didn't believe you?" Ruby asked.
Dorothy shook her head. "They tried to have me committed."
"I'm sorry," Ruby told her.
"Don't be," Dorothy told her. "Showed me who my real family was. Aunt Em. She believed me. She kept me from getting locked up."
"Is she still back in Kansas?" Ruby asked.
"She died not long after that," Dorothy explained. "But just before she did, she gave me Toto."
Ruby nodded knowingly. "He's all you have left of her."
"He's the only one who understands me," Dorothy told her.
"Don't worry," Ruby told her. "We're gonna get him back. You know, I understand what it's like to feel like you don't belong anywhere."
"Really, wolfie?" Dorothy asked. "Your family tried to have you committed?"
"No, my entire village ran me out of town," Ruby answered.
"Really?" Dorothy asked.
"With torches and pitchforks," Ruby answered.
"Because you're a wolf?" Dorothy asked.
Ruby nodded. "I didn't always know I was, and I certainly didn't back then. I wasn't in control, and one night, I accidentally... killed my boyfriend."
Dorothy was surprised, sympathetic. "Wow."
"Yeah," Ruby agreed. "I lived on the run after that, and I eventually learned to control my power, made some friends along the way. I ended up in a town called Storybrooke, but... I still felt like there was something missing."
"And you came to Oz looking for answers?" Dorothy asked.
"I came here looking for my pack," Ruby answered. "I thought maybe they were what was missing, but after searching for so long, I'm... not sure if they're the answer anymore."
"What are you looking for?" Dorothy asked.
They were looking at each other, lost in each other's gaze.
"I'm not sure," Ruby admitted.
"Well, maybe that's the problem," Dorothy told her. "Come on. Field's up ahead."

Cemetery
The group found the grave of Emily Brown.
"That's her," Jefferson told them. "That's Auntie Em."
"It's not cracked or tipped," Blake told them. "That's good. Regina, Alcina, Axel, Tori, Derek, Saphira, Mathias and Faye told us what that means. When they went looking for Daniel, Rave. And Axel's family. She's still down here."
"Well, what are we waiting for?" Ruby asked. "Let's find her."
"It's not that simple," Rose told her. "If she's dead, she can't just leave the Underworld. Not to give Dorothy true love's kiss."
Snow was thinking. "Maybe she doesn't have to. The other day, the Blind Witch bottled David's breath."
"What?" Grace asked. "Why would she do that?"
"Yeah, well, she roasted children in her previous life," Jefferson told them. "Do we even want the answer to that?"
"When Alcina and Faye gave birth to Robin and Derek's kids, I bottled the cries of the babies," Freya reminded them. "The point is, maybe we can do the same thing with the kiss from Aunt Em."
Emma nodded. "Ruby could use the slippers to deliver it to Dorothy in Oz."
David, Henry, Killian and Cyrus ran up to them.
"Guys!" Henry told them. "We've been looking everywhere for you."
"What is it?" Ella asked. "Henry? Dad? Killian? Cyrus? Did you talk to Neal?"
Killian shook his head. "Hades ripped out the phone. He's cut us off from Storybrooke."
"What?" Grace asked worriedly. "Why?"
Snow was freaking out.
"Snow, Neal's fine," David told her.
"Wait, no, we don't know that," Snow told them. "I mean, maybe Hades did this for a reason. Maybe he's gonna make a move on Storybrooke now that we're trapped down here."
"This is exactly what he wants," Emma told them. "For us all to lose hope."
David sighed. "Well, it's hard not to when our child's life might be in danger."
Jefferson exchanged a knowing look with Freya. "Snow. David. I think it's time."
"For what?" Rose asked.
"For Snow and David both to go home," Freya answered. "Emma, Ella, Hook, Rose and Henry can go with you."
David was surprised. "We haven't completed our mission. We haven't defeated Hades."
"You've done more for us than you know," Grace told them. "And so many down here."
"Freya, we came here to make up for what we pushed you to do in Camelot, to pay you and Jefferson back for everything you've done for us, because you're my best friend and you needed me," Snow told her.
Freya nodded. "I know, and I thank you for that, Snow, but your child needs you more."
"And Storybrooke might, too," Jefferson told them.
"Well, what about Hades?" Emma asked. "We don't even know how to begin to fight him yet."
"Well, we'll just have to find a way to wage our war without the Charmings," Saphira told them.
"But this is the Underworld," Christopher told them. "You can't just walk out."
"They can with the slippers," Saphira pointed out.
"Go to Oz with Ruby," Tori told them. "Once you help Dorothy, you can click your way back to Storybrooke."
"There's one problem with the slippers," Blake told them. "I'm pretty sure only two can go. One person wears the slippers. And they can only take one person with them."
Lisa sighed. "Yeah."
Christopher nodded. "Blake and Lisa are right. Only one of you can go with Ruby."
"Then Snow can go," Alcina told them.
Freya looked at her best friend. "Snow, you've done enough."
"Go take care of the rest of your family," Mathias told her. "We're gonna be okay."
"You're not trapped here,' Axel told her. "You can still go."
Faye nodded. "And then we'll find our way back home. All of us."
Ella sighed. "We can all make it home somehow."
"Grandma, you have to go," Rose told her. "The rest of us will be okay."
Cyrus nodded. "Promise."

Zelena's Farmhouse
Zelena opened the door to reveal Belle. "Belle. To what do I owe the honor? Are you here to tear my crying granddaughter from my arms again?"
"I need your help," Belle told her. Zelena scoffed. "Please. I'm asking you as a mother, and willing to do anything to protect my baby and the rest of my family."
ღ
Inside - Kitchen
Belle and Zelena were sitting at the table.
"And what makes you think Hades would listen to me?" Zelena asked.
"Faye, Regina and Alcina told the rest of our family how Hades is in love with you," Belle explained.
Zelena chuckled. "Of course they did. Sorry, but Hades would never rip up one of his precious contracts even if I asked."
"Please, Zelena, you know what it's like to have to lose a child, or any other of your family," Belle told her.
"Why come to me when you have your family and the Dark One on your side?" Zelena asked.
"Because my family is out there trying to help the werewolf you hurt, and I can't really trust Rumple right now," Belle answered.
Zelena nodded in amusement. "So, you finally see the beast behind the man. Maybe you can understand why I'm not rushing to Hades with open arms."
"Well, I don't think it's because of me and our family," Belle told her. "I think it's because you're scared."
"Of the lord of death?" Zelena asked, laughing. "Please. I just know the truth. I'm never going to get my happy ending. Not with Hades, not with Faye, or even Regina and Alcina, not with anyone."
"How do you know that if you haven't tried?" Belle asked.
Zelena scoffed. "Oh, I have tried. Look where I am. Drinking with the bookworm." Belle looked sick. "Oh, come on, if I disgust you that much, maybe you should leave."
Belle gulped. "No, no, it's, uh, it's--it's not that. It's just morning sickness. I'm just trying to help Freya and the rest of my family."
"Well, take it from me, Hades will not be satisfied with just Freya," Zelena told her. "He wants it all. That's why he has Alcina, Rose and Grace trapped here, too, along with Freya and Jefferson, why he keeps threatening Derek, Henry, Tori, Saphira and Mathias, and the baby of Mathias and Tori. It's why he made the Dark One bring Alcina and Robin's twins, and Faye and Derek's baby, and why he threatened you and your baby. You won't be safe, either."
Belle was getting more worried. "Wait. Hades... if--if he decides he does want everyone in our family, including my child, and now, he could speed up my pregnancy, like Freya did to Faye."
"I'd love to say that he isn't capable of such a thing, but I can assure you, he is," Zelena told her.
Belle shook her head in horror. "No. And I--I thought it would just be Freya, or if he did go after the rest of our family, that I would have time on my side, but I guess I don't."
Zelena considered. "That's not necessarily true. There may be a way."

Hatter House - Living Room
The boys, minus Jefferson, were talking.
"Anything?" Blake asked.
"Just that Auntie Em died in Kansas," Killian answered. "No details. Not a clue."
"Don't worry, Hook," Mathias told him. "We'll figure it out."
Killian smirked smugly. "Well, look at that, Mathias. We're acting like best friends again."
Mathias admitted this grudgingly. "Well, you grew on me a little bit again."
Killian leaned forward, pretending like he was wondering if he heard him right. "Hmm?" Mathias smirked, rolling his head. "Well, I do have that effect on most. You, Ella, Saphira, Tori."
"All right, don't push it," Mathias told him.
The other boys chuckled.
David sighed. "Snow should be home. She should be with our boy. She missed this time with Emma and Ella. And now it's happening all over again."
"Freya didn't want you, Emma, Ella, Henry, Rose and Snow to come down here in the first place," Cyrus told him. "David, she wanted all of you to stay up there. Hell, she wanted me, Regina, Tori, Saphira, Mathias, Axel, Alcina, Derek and Faye to stay up there."
"Cyrus's right, Freya didn't even want me, Grace and Lisa to come," Blake told them. "But we all had to. For Jefferson."
Axel nodded. "We made our own choices. We wanted to come down here for Jefferson. Even after everything he and Freya did as the Dark Ones, they spent most of their time helping the rest of us."
Henry chuckled. "And they're my family. I couldn't leave Uncle Jefferson down here, and neither could Rose. We had to help Aunt Freya, Lisa, Grace and Blake get him back."
"And if we hadn't come down here, Freya would be already Hades's slave by now," Mathias told them. "You haven't seen the way that he was trying to break her down. What he pushed her to do to Gaston. If it wasn't for us being here, she would have broke by now. And Jefferson's our friend."
Killian looked at David. "And Snow is going home with Ruby. She's not trapped here. And she will get back to your boy. Only one can go with Ruby. But she is Snow's ticket out of here, and she's taking it."
"Like the girls said earlier," Christopher told them. "You'll all find your way back. You will. I promise."
Blake chuckled lightly. "Thanks, Papa."
Henry nodded. "You're right. I just hope we can help Ruby."

Night - Poppy Field
Dorothy led Ruby along. "The poppy field. This is Zelena and Faye's territory. We need to be careful. I'm sorry."
"For what?" Ruby asked.
"Calling you wolfie," Dorothy answered. Ruby chuckled. "If I had known..."
"No, it's okay," Ruby assured. "I actually kind of like it." They chuckled. "But I do think it's only fair that I get to give you a nickname too."
"Really?" Dorothy asked in amusement.
"Really," Ruby answered. "How about 'Kansas'?"
Dorothy laughed. "All right, wolfie, Kansas it is." Ruby leaned down to get the poppies. Dorothy placed a hand on her shoulder. "Careful." Ruby looked at her hand, then up at Dorothy. "One sniff of that, and we'll be snoozing all night."
Dorothy picked some poppies.
Ruby smiled. "Thanks."
Dorothy smiled in return, offering the poppy flowers to Ruby. Ruby tucked them into her satchel. Flying monkeys were coming.
Dorothy took out her crossbow. "Zelena, she found us."
"There's more on the way," Ruby told her.
They started to run.
"We'll never outrun them," Dorothy told her.
"Well, sure we can," Ruby told her.
"How?" Dorothy asked.
Ruby turned to face her. "Do you trust me?"
Dorothy looked behind them to see the monkeys flying closer, looking at Ruby. "Yes."
Ruby took off her cloak, letting her eyes glow gold, turning into the wolf. Dorothy was stunned, awed, picking up the cloak. The flying monkeys were getting closer, but Wolf!Ruby was running away with Dorothy on her back.

Elsewhere
Wolf!Ruby and Dorothy came back to where Mulan was waiting.
"What happened?" Mulan asked.
"Zelena," Dorothy answered. "We were almost monkey chow."
Dorothy put Ruby's cloak around the wolf.
Ruby turned back human, standing, pulling back her hood, looking at Dorothy in concern. "Are you okay?" Dorothy kept looking away like she was trying to not look at Ruby, stepping away. "Dorothy?"
Dorothy turned to face them. "Yeah, I'm just... tired. Maybe it was all the poppies. I'm gonna get some shuteye."
Dorothy walked away. Ruby looked down.

Granny's Diner
The girls and Jefferson walked in.
Blind Witch sniffed, looking in Ruby's direction. "Sorry, no dogs allowed. Had this conversation with your friend Axel before. But Axel never listens."
Ruby glared at Blind Witch. "No one talks to me like that in my diner."
"It's not yours, dear, not yet," Blind Witch told her.
"There's a tombstone in the cemetery," Emma told her. "Emily Brown. Why don't you make this easy? Tell us where to find her."
"What do I get out of it?" Blind Witch asked.
"This wolf keeps her cloak on," Regina answered. "And we don't call Axel here. Unless you want to start putting your customers on the menu. Pretty sure Axel and Ruby will have a hell of a time."
Blind Witch sighed. "Fine, I know her."
"Yeah?" Ella asked.
"Yeah," Blind Witch answered. "I hate that Auntie Em."
"Why's that?" Ella asked.
"She's the competition," Blind Witch answered.
"Competition?" Ella repeated. "Where?"

Auntie's Diner
The girls and Jefferson walked in.
Auntie Em was nerving. "Welcome to Auntie's. The potpies are my own family recipe, but we do a good roasted chicken, too. Rotisserie, any way you want, but the soup, well, the soup is to die for."
Grace shrugged. "Unless you're already dead. Then it's, uh... Well, you know what I mean. Sorry. Not the best time for an Underworld joke."
Rose smirked in amusement. "Nope. Wow, Grace. Just wow."
"Shut up, Rose," Grace replied.
Smirking, Rose looked at Auntie Em. "We're trying to help Dorothy."
Auntie Em looked at them in surprise. "You know my Dorothy?"
"Yes," Rose answered.
"She's not down here, is she?" Auntie Em asked.
"No," Saphira answered. "She's alive. But she needs your help. She needs true love's kiss."
Tori nodded to the bottle Freya was holding. "All you need to do is blow a kiss into the bottle. Maybe helping Dorothy is your unfinished business. Maybe that's why you're down here. Go on."
Freya handed the bottle to Auntie Em. Auntie Em uncorked the bottle, about to do as told, but she was turning into water, to the shock of everyone.
"What?" Lisa asked in shock. "What the..."
"What's happening?" Grace asked.
"Freya?" Faye asked. "Hey. What did you do?"
Freya didn't answer, in shock, looking at her hands, as if wondering what she had done.
"Can somebody help her?" Grace asked.
"Cilla?" Alcina asked worriedly in concern. "Cilla."
Freya was shaking, not sure if this was real or not, becoming very overwhelmed and upset. "I didn't do anything. I-I-I don't... think I did this."
Jefferson pulled Freya close to him, trying to calm her down. "No, no, no. Shh. It's okay."
"Cilla, it's okay," Alcina told her.
"Ally..." Freya trailed off.
Faye, Alcina and Regina tried to keep Auntie Em from melting. "No. No!"
Auntie Em fell to the floor in a watery pile, completely gone.
"What the hell was that?" Jefferson asked.
Hades was sitting at a table behind them. "I don't think the soup agreed with her."
They turned to face him in surprise.
Lisa glared at him. "You did this."
Hades smirked at the reaction from his great niece. "Mm, guilty. A little water from the River of Souls gives the soup a little special... something." He laughed. "Making Freya think she did it was just priceless."
Freya, Jefferson and Alcina glared at him.
"Why would you hurt her?" Lisa asked. "She was just a sweet old lady."
Hades stood. "Isn't it obvious? Because you're trying to help her, great niece."
"And Dorothy, who happens to be Zelena's sworn enemy," Regina told him. "And used to be Faye's."
"Not anymore," Faye told them.
"Did Zelena put you up to this?" Alcina asked.
Hades shook his head. "Trust me, she has no idea I'm here. This is about so much more than just Zelena. Let's call it a teachable moment."
"You wouldn't be here unless you were scared we might actually win this fight," Jefferson told him.
Hades chuckled. "Yes. Is that so, Jefferson? Because I don't think Dorothy's dear old aunt would agree with you." He reached out to Freya. "And I don't think Freya would agree with you after she's seeing and hearing so many more demons inside her head than just the madness and her own thinking. Oh, did you not tell them about the visions pushing you to do things I want you to do, Freya, the reason why you started to burn yourself so that you can stop yourself and remind you of what's real and what's not? No surprise there." Lisa, Grace, Jefferson and Alcina looked at Freya in surprise, as did the others, but she looked down, avoiding their gazes. Hades pointed to Freya's head. "All in here, spiraling down more than ever before."
Jefferson pushed Hades's arm away from Freya, very angry and protective. "You can break my soul, take my life away, beat me, hurt me, kill me. But for the love of God, do not touch her."
Hades chuckled in amusement. "Like I said before, Jefferson. Amazingly hilarious how angry and protective you two get over each other. And we all know how protective Freya is over her family. What will she do to make sure I don't do anything to hurt her family? Maybe she'll reconsider taking up her part of the deal just to make sure I don't hurt any of you."
Freya was becoming more overwhelmed.
Alcina took her hand. "Cilla, don't listen to him. We'll be fine. You don't have to do what he says just to protect us."
Lisa stood in front of her friends and family, facing Hades. "You really don't want to do this. Not when I'm right here."
"Oh, but you don't have Blake right next to you, Lisa," Hades mocked. "Don't worry, I'm just making a little announcement." He spoke to everyone in the diner. "Citizens of the Underworld, from now on, this is what happens to anyone who deals with these so-called heroes. So, who's next in line for their help? Oh, no? Mm, it's hard to be heroes when no one wants you to save them."
Everyone glared at him.

"Good," Ruby told her.
"Good?" Mulan repeated. "That doesn't sound like a very convincing battle cry. Ruby, what's going on?"
Ruby sighed. "When we were on our trek, Dorothy asked me what I've been looking for this whole time, and I told her that I didn't know."
Mulan sat next to her. "Well, do you?"
Ruby nodded. "I think... I think that... I've been looking for someone like her, and I know we just met, but I have never felt like this about anyone before."
Mulan chuckled. "That's great. So, what's wrong."
"You saw how she looked at me when I transformed," Ruby told her. "She could barely bring herself to say anything."
"Maybe she was feeling exactly what you were," Mulan told her. "Maybe she didn't know how to put it into words."
"Maybe she was just freaked out," Ruby told her. "Maybe it was all too much for her."
Mulan shook her head. "Ruby. Don't make the same mistake I did. Don't wait until it's too late to tell someone how you feel."
Ruby sighed. "You really think I should?"
Mulan nodded. Ruby went to Dorothy's cottage, only to find her missing, picking up her tattered blue and white checkered cloth.

Ruby, Snow and Freya were talking.
"Freya, what was Hades talking about back there?" Ruby asked. "What's going on with you? You've changed so much."
Freya shook her head. "I'm not the one you should be worried about right now, Ruby."
"Well, I can worry about you and worry about Dorothy at the same time," Ruby replied. "Snow, Freya, what are we gonna do now?"
"What we always do, and find a way to fix things," Snow answered.
"But no one can wake Dorothy up now," Ruby told them.
"Well, I mean, I don't think that's entirely true," Snow told her.
"Well, who else can give her true love's kiss?" Ruby asked.
Snow and Freya exchanged a knowing look.
"I don't know, maybe you," Freya answered.
"What?" Ruby asked.
"Ruby, you're our friend," Snow told her. "We know you, and we see how worried you are."
"You can tell us," Freya told her.
Ruby sighed, nodding. "You're right."
"So, why are you standing here?" Freya asked. "Why aren't you on the way to Oz?"
Ruby looked out the window. "True love is a two way street, and Dorothy? I don't think she feels the same."
"Why?" Snow asked. "What makes you think that?"
"She kind of bailed on me back in Oz," Ruby answered.
"So?" Freya asked. "Love's a funny thing."
Snow chuckled. "When I met Charming, I hit him in the face. People in love hurt each other all the time."
Ruby looked at them. "Yeah, maybe. Maybe. Um... but, uh, it's just..." She sighed. "I've never been so scared about anything before."
"That's great, 'cause love is freaking scary," Freya told her. "Everything with Jefferson has been scary considering everything in the past, and everything right now, you know, with the madness, with being away from each other, being the Dark Ones, me having to kill him, coming down to the Underworld to save him."
"And I'm about to say goodbye to David for what might be a really, really long time, and you know why I'm okay with it?" Snow asked. "Because what you get back when you love someone far outweighs the risk."
Ruby considered all of this, nodding. "All right, I'll--I'll try."
The three of them chuckled, embracing.

Ruby placed Dorothy's tattered cloth over Auntie Em's tombstone, which was now cracked.
"Ready?" Cyrus asked. "Put these on. Think of where you want to go. Then click your heels three times."
"Listen to Cyrus," Lisa told them. "He knows better than anyone about magic."
Grace nodded in agreement. "Yep. Bye, Snow."
"Snow, you should take her hand," Regina told her. "Hold tight."
David nodded sadly, turning to Snow. "So I guess this is goodbye." They embraced. "We have done this before. We can do it again. When you get home, tell Neal that I will be there as fast as I can."
Snow was upset to leave. "David, Emma, Ella..." They all embraced. "Henry, Rose."
"We're gonna be okay, Grandma," Henry told her. "Promise. We're all looking out for each other. Neal needs you. Your boy is waiting for you."
"You can look after him," David told her. "And if Storybrooke's in trouble, there's no better leader than Snow White."
Snow looked at him sadly. "You sure?"
David nodded. "Go to our son. Go home."
"We'll be back before you know it," Ella told her.
"Mom, we're not very good at goodbyes," Emma told her.
"I know," Snow told them. "It runs in the family."
Rose embraced Snow. "We love you. We'll miss you."
Snow smiled.
Alcina was worried. "Snow, while you're up there... will you look in on Roland for me, Robin and Derek? I know they'd want me to ask you that."
Snow nodded reassuringly. "Of course."
Saphira looked at Alcina. "Don't worry. I know you're just as worried about Roland because of your own babies being his siblings. It's just like he's your family, too, Alcina, because of your babies, Robin and Derek. He's gonna be okay."
Snow kissed David goodbye for now, sweetly and passionately, pulling away, backing away with tears in her eyes, wiping away one that had escaped. Freya embraced both Snow and Ruby, who both smiled sadly as they returned the embrace, pulling away. Freya backed away toward her family.
"Ready?" Axel asked. They nodded. "Go find Dorothy. And it was night to meet you, Ruby. Another wolf."
Ruby smiled. "You too, Axel."
Emma and Ella waved. "Bye. Mom."
"We'll be safe," Emma told her. "Promise."
"Tell Neal we love him," Ella told her. "And that we'll be home soon."
Ruby held Snow's hand, clicking her heels together three times, making them both disappear in a whirl of silver smoke while the others were watching.

Hades smiled, turning to face her. "Zelena. Well, you're the last person I expected to show up here."
"Little chat with the bookworm made me realize, maybe I haven't given you a fair chance," Zelena told him.
Hades showed her a jar. "Well, you're just in time to see this. Auntie Em, freshly bottled today."

Hades walked closer. "I know this is hard for you to believe, but that's why I did it... to show you it's possible to be selfless. You're scared I'm going to disappoint you, aren't you?"
Zelena sighed. "Terrified." Hades chuckled. "I think that's a chance I'm just going to have to take."

The people of Oz, and Mulan, were gathered by a bed where the slumbering Dorothy was laying. Toto was laying next to Dorothy, growling, then barking.
Mulan frowned in confusion. "What is it, Toto?" Toto ran behind everyone, right when Snow and Ruby appeared. Mulan was shocked. "Ruby. Snow."
Ruby looked at Dorothy's sleeping body. "You found her."
Mulan walked closer. "I've been waiting for you to get back. She's under..."
"A sleeping curse, I know," Ruby finished. "Thank you for taking care of her."
Mulan nodded. "I've had some experience with this sort of thing."
"Ruby, you can do this," Snow told her. "Go."
Ruby chuckled. "Okay."
Ruby slowly made her way to Dorothy, terrified that the kiss wouldn't work, but desperate for it to work, leaning closer to kiss Dorothy. A rainbow wave of power was released, signaling true love's kiss.
Dorothy woke up, gasping. "Wolfie?"
Ruby smiled. "Kansas." Snow and Mulan were not surprised that it had worked, but relieved. Toto barked in relief. Dorothy sat up. "You left without saying anything."
"I was afraid," Dorothy admitted. "I couldn't lose you to Zelena."
"Well, yeah, but I almost lost you," Ruby told her.

Killian nodded in agreement. "Aye. But how?"
Henry walked toward David to show him his writing. "Grandpa. Grace and I thought you'd like to see the latest."
Grace showed them an illustration of Snow holding Neal. "Snow made it back to Storybrooke. She's with Neal."
David sighed in relief. "Thanks, kids. Really."
Ella chuckled. "Now. Let's go figure out how to join them."
"What?" Regina asked. "What is it?"

"Belle called, Blake," Cyrus explained. "She wanted them to meet her at the pawnshop."
"Don't worry, Blake," Axel told him. "They should be back soon."
Freya was sitting alone, looking out of the window.
Alcina looked toward her, walking closer to sit next to her. "Cilla? You okay?"
Freya nodded, looking down. "I'm fine, Ally."
Jefferson gave her a look for the lie. "Freya."

Freya and Jefferson's Room
Freya was sitting alone on the bed, seeing and hearing more things in her head, burning into her skin again to remind her of what was real.
Jefferson walked in, seeing this, even more worried, sighing, walking closer to take her hand and stop her. "Priscilla."
Freya sighed. "Well, you're already dead, and I'm not about to die, that we know of, anyway, so the fact that you called me 'Priscilla' means that we're about to have a serious talk."
"Very serious talk," Jefferson answered.
Freya looked down sheepishly, shamefully. "About what Hades said, I'm guessing."
"Damn right," Jefferson answered. "Why didn't you tell me how bad it really was?"
"I didn't want you to worry," Freya answered innocently. Jefferson gave her a look that Freya merely returned with a look of her own. "You're already sick with worry, Jefferson. If you weren't already dead, your worry could kill you."
Jefferson sighed patiently, sitting next to her, holding her hand. "Not funny. I'm fine. You're not. And I can't help you if you don't tell me everything, Cilla."
Freya looked at him sadly. "I'm sorry. I just didn't want to freak out you, Henry, Rose, Ally, Grace, Lisa and Blake anymore. And I wanted to believe I was okay."
Jefferson took this in, sighing. "Well, you're gonna be after we get you and our family and friends out of here."
Freya gave him a look. "And you."
Jefferson sighed, knowing she wasn't going to like what he was about to ask one bit. "Freya, I need you to promise, even if I can't come back with you, you will go back with our family."
Freya scoffed. "Jefferson--"
"Cilla," Jefferson said to calm her down. "It's just a precaution, okay? I'm not saying that I won't go back. I'm saying that if I can't, you need to go home with our family and friends."
"Well, I can't leave," Freya told him. "Neither can Ally, Grace or Rose."
Jefferson nodded. "But after you can leave, promise me."
Freya shook her head. "I'm not leaving without you."
Jefferson looked at her sadly. "You might have to." Freya shook her head, looking down. Jefferson moved his head a little to keep her gaze. "Lisa, Blake, Grace, Henry, Rose. Even Alcina. They can't lose both of us, Cilla."
Freya looked up, sad but in denial of that possibility. "I know."
"And I wanna make sure that they'll be okay," Jefferson told her. "I'll do anything it takes for me to come back with you, because I can't let you stay like this, but we might not have a choice. Whatever happens, I will always love you."
Freya nodded, tears in her eyes. "I love you, too. Always have. Always will."
Jefferson wiped away a tear that fell down Freya's cheek. Freya kissed him sadly but sweetly with passion. After a moment, they pulled away, leaning their heads together.
Jefferson held her in an embrace. "Now get some sleep so it's easier to handle."
Freya sighed, giving in with a roll of her eyes. "Yes, sir." Jefferson managed a small chuckle at that. Freya laid down. Jefferson laid the blanket over her, about to stand. Freya reached out to take his hand. "Jefferson." Jefferson looked at her. "Please stay."
Jefferson nodded. "I'm not going anywhere. Luckily I don't need sleep and I don't get cold."
Freya managed a small smile, chuckling. Jefferson laid next to her, holding her. Freya relaxed in his arms, laying her head on his chest. Jefferson gazed off worriedly with sadness as he trailed his fingers through her hair to help her fall asleep.

"They're fine," Tori told him. "Freya's back at home with the others. Jefferson's finally getting her to get some sleep." Gold nodded, sighing. "Most of us were trying to help Ruby."
"Ruby?" Gold repeated.
"Yeah," Mathias answered. "She was here. She's not now. Snow left, too."
"I've been trying to find a way to fix your mistake," Belle told him.
Gold sighed. "So have I. Doing research... this is gonna take some time."
"Which is exactly what we don't have," Faye told him. "Hades showed up to us earlier. He was taunting Freya."
"He told us about how she's been seeing things in her head," Saphira explained. "More than just hallucinations or voices from the madness. It sounded like he was making her see things to try and make her do what he wants."
"That's why she was burning herself earlier before Jefferson stopped her," Mathias told them. "So she could try to make sense of what was real and what was not real. It's getting worse."
"That would be an understatement, Papa," Saphira told him.
"Hades can still go after the rest of our family," Belle told them. "He keeps that over our heads. And I can't protect myself like any of you protect yourselves. I can't protect my baby. I'm just going to be in danger even if you're there to protect me. Hades cane take our baby whenever he wants to just like Freya did to Faye."
"Well, we won't let that happen," Tori told her.
Belle shook her head. "I can't take the chance that you'll stop him in time, not when there's a way that I can pause everything, even my pregnancy."
Belle showed them a needle created for a sleeping curse, causing all of them to be worried.
"Where did you get that?" Tori asked.
"From Zelena," Belle answered. "But don't worry. The sleeping curse, it'll halt everything." They attempted to step closer, but Belle put the needle close to her finger to stop them. "Ah, I can prick my finger quicker than you can stop me. As long as I'm asleep, Hades can't put me or the baby in danger like he's doing to the rest of our family, and you'll have all the time you need to help Freya, Jefferson, Grace, Lisa, Blake and Alcina destroy the contract and whatever threat he still holds against them, Henry, Rose, Tori, Saphira, Mathias, Faye, Derek, or the babies of Tori, Mathias, Alcina, Robin, Faye and Derek."
Tori shook her head worriedly. "Belle, you're only gonna make things worse."
"I'm doing what I need to to protect this child," Belle told them.
"Hades will not come for you and the baby," Saphira told her. "Not as long as he has Freya."
"He's threatened to go after our entire family, Saphira," Faye told her. "And he'll do so again to get Freya to do what he wants. He even said that at the diner to make her want to do what he says."
"Not helping, Faye," Mathias told her. "Belle, just think about this."
"I have, Mathias," Belle told him.
"There's only one way out of a sleeping curse," Gold told her.
Belle nodded. "True love's kiss, I know."
"You think this is gonna force me to become the man you want me to be for you and for our family?" Gold asked. "To go back to the light just to wake you up? My love, I already told you, I'm not that man."
Belle sighed. "No, I know. You're not the one who's going to wake me, Rumple. Tori is. But, Tori, you cannot wake me up until Hades is dealt with. Because I will not want to wake up unless I know for sure Hades is gone."
"How will we be able to tell you if he's gone if you're stuck in a sleeping curse?" Tori asked worriedly. "Oh, no, Belle, please don't."
"After you defeat Hades, Tori, after you find a way to tell me that he's gone, then you can wake me up," Belle told her. "I know you can."
Belle pricked her finger.
Tori ran closer. "No! Belle!"
Saphira and Faye stepped closer. "Aunt Belle!"
Mathias was shocked. "No."
Gold was desperate, worried, holding Belle, laying her down on the bed. "Belle. Oh, no. Belle, no."
Gold, Tori, Saphira, Faye and Mathias were in shock, worried and horrified.
