chapter 17 - Her Handsome Hero
From 5.14 "Devil's Due", in the cemetery, Priscilla, Alcina, Rose and Grace's names were on the headstones.
Freya/Priscilla: (voice over) "Previously on Worlds Colliding (Once Upon a Time)."
From 5.15 "The Brothers Jones", in the Hatter House, Jefferson looked at Freya. "We have to figure out a way to get your name off the stone, and Alcina, Rose and Grace's, so that you can use your heart to bring me back, and then our minds will be linked again and I can take back the half of madness that is mine, and we can go home."
From 5.16 "Our Decay", in the street, Freya was close to losing her sanity completely, looking at Gold angrily. "I am now the property to the king of the Underworld, and my entire family is in danger because of a deal you made."
Freya lost control, letting her magic lash out at Gold, pushing him away from her into the building behind him, the magic blast powerful enough to kill and destroy anything that wasn't immortal like Gold was.
Gold: (voice over from 5.16 Our Decay) "All of this is making you closer to losing your mind, and that's what Hades wants. To make you lose your mind enough to where you will punish anyone and everyone again, so you will willingly do as he says because of that contract."
From 5.16 "Our Decay", in the woods, Alcina looked at the others. "He wants Cilla to punish everybody. He wants her to want to work for him. In his mind, if she wants to work for him, then we wouldn't be able to save her."
From 1.12 "Skin Deep", in flashback, in the French Castle, Rumplestiltskin pointed at Belle and Tori. "My price is them."
Gaston shielded Belle with his arm. "This young lady is engaged to me."
"Yet you don't defend your lady's sister, because of what she is," Rumplestiltskin replied.
From 1.12 "Skin Deep", in the foyer of Dark Castle, Gaston was standing outside, aiming his sword. "I am Sir Gaston, and you, beast, have taken--"
Rumplestiltskin snapped his fingers, turning Gaston into a rose.

Day - French Castle - Stables
Belle walked into the stables, wearing clothes for horse riding. "Tori? Tori, are you in here?"
Tori turned to face her, wearing a gown because Maurice wouldn't let her get ready for horse riding. "I'm right here, Belle."
"We're supposed to go riding today," Belle told her. "Why aren't you dressed for it?"
Tori nodded behind her, glaring at her stepfather. "Ask him."
Maurice approached them. "Victoria, don't give me that look. You know you're not supposed to go riding either way."
"You're lucky I have Belle here, otherwise I would have run far and fast from this place so long ago," Tori told him. "I just... I couldn't leave Belle behind like that."
Belle sighed sadly, taking her sister by the hand. "Tori..."
"We have a visitor in the castle today," Maurice explained. "The eldest son of Lord LeGume."
"Father, no," Belle told him. "I do not want to meet any more suitors, especially not that cretin."
"So you know him?" Maurice asked.
"Well, we know of him," Tori answered. "He's supposedly the vainest man in all the land. Fancies himself quite the hunter, both of animals and women."
Maurice looked at Belle. "At least give him a chance. Don't judge someone until you know their whole story."
Tori scoffed, laughing mockingly. "Oh, those are words you should take to heart when it comes to me, Maurice."
Maurice was clearly about to say something to offend both sisters.
Belle stopped him. "Enough. I know enough of Gaston. And I'm tired of you treating Tori like this."
Tori and Belle turned to leave.
"Belle, wait," Maurice told her. "There's more at stake. On our northern borders, there have been skirmishes with the ogres. Good men have died."
"That's horrible," Tori told him, still not happy with her stepfather.
"But Lord LeGume has a powerful army," Maurice explained. He looked at Belle. "If you were to marry his son..."
Tori scoffed. "What, marry him? Are you mad? What does Mother have to say about this?"
"She agrees with me," Maurice answered. "I'm not arranging a wedding, Belle. I simply want you to meet him."
Gaston walked in. "Am I too early?"
Maurice shook his head. "You're right on time. Come on, meet my daughter and stepdaughter. Belle, Victoria, this is Gaston."
Gaston kissed both their hands. "Belle. Victoria. Lovely names. And lovely to meet you."
"Gaston, we've heard so much about you," Belle told him.
"I'm sorry," Gaston told her. "This is terribly awkward, isn't it? Do you hate these setups as much as I o?"
"Well, since you're asking, yes," Belle answered.
"I've heard you're a charming and intelligent young woman, and you certainly live up to your name," Gaston told her.
"But..." Belle trailed off.
"You've heard of me, and you're not interested in this, which is fine," Gaston told her. "I understand. If it is your wish, I shall turn around and head home. No hard feelings."
Gaston turned to leave. Tori nodded mockingly. Maurice gave Belle and Tori a look.
Belle sighed. "Actually, uh, one walk couldn't hurt anyone."
Gaston stopped, smirking. Tori rolled her eyes.

Hatter House - Living Room
The Hatters, Christopher, the Matthews and Belle were trying to figure out a way to get out of the deal with Hades.
Gold walked in. "Hello."
Freya was not happy to see him after everything. "What are you doing here?"
"I won't let Hades do anything more to this family and what has already been done," Gold told her. "And I'm not going to let him take you, Cilla, or anyone else. I think the proper verbiage you're looking for is, 'Thank you, Papa'."
Freya found that somewhat amusing but more irritating than anything, scoffing. "How about, 'screw you, Papa, get out'? I told you I didn't want your help after everything you've done. So it comes as no surprise that I don't want you in my home, or even the Underworld version of my home."
No one was surprised by this reaction.
Gold wasn't even bothered by the reaction, looking at Jefferson, nodding to Freya. "Jefferson, please."
Jefferson sighed, walking over to Freya. "Hey, Cilla?" Freya looked at him. "I know you're angry at him. All of us are. But we might actually need his help. To get us all out of this. Okay?"
Freya sighed, giving in, still annoyed, but knowing he was right, and trying to fight the conflict inside her head, looking down, nodding. "Mm-hmm."
Mathias looked at Gold, sighing. "So you want to help. Fine. You're probably here to make up for what you've done to all of us. Old news and new news alike."
"Admittedly, we might need your help," Tori admitted. "I mean, it's not just Freya on the line here, Gold. It's our entire family. And I'm not willing to let anyone, especially these babies, get hurt."
Lisa looked at Freya reassuringly. "Don't worry. Your father's just here to help. And Blake and I are not gonna let our great uncle hurt anyone. Not if we can help it."
"Okay?" Blake asked. Freya sighed, nodding. Blake looked over them. "I don't care what we have to do. Hades is not getting Freya. And we're gonna get her name, Rose, Grace and Alcina's off the stones, get Freya to use her heart to resurrect Jefferson, and protect Henry, Saphira, Tori, Mathias, Faye, and Gold and Belle's baby, and Mathias and Tori's, Derek and Faye's, and Alcina and Robin's twins. Promise."
Belle looked at everyone. "But no dark magic."
"What?" Grace asked. "Dark magic is basically all that Mama, Regina, Aunt Ally, Saphira, Mathias and Faye know. Blake and Grandpa are literal darkness. You must know that that request is near impossible."
Belle looked at Gold. "When we were in Camelot, Merlin and Cyrus said that perhaps one day, someone would be able to wield the power of the Dark One dagger for good. Show us that you can be that man, show us, and we can save our family, and we can turn the darkness into light."
"Well, that's the thing with dark and light," Christopher told them. "Depends on your point of view. Take it from someone who knows more than anyone. I have the powers of both light and darkness. Lisa's the light. Blake's the darkness. But their powers are equal in strength and importance, and anything could happen from both their powers, especially since coming from the lineage they're from. There's nothing wrong with Lisa and Blake's powers, and nothing wrong with the dark magic that Freya, Regina, Saphira, Mathias, Alcina and Faye know, or the chaotic power from Grace, or the unknowable power from Rose. The darkness you have to worry about is inside Gold."
Saphira nodded. "Right. Alcina and Faye can't join us right now because they're trying to help Regina deal with Zelena. But Christopher's right. In the end, you do what you can to protect those you love."
"All right, well, I'd never resort to darkness because that's not what a hero does," Belle told them.
"Take it from a former villain turned hero," Saphira told her. "In the heat of the moment, you do whatever it takes."
Belle looked at Gold. "You want a future with me? You have to do this my way."

Cyrus's Vision
Cemetery
Killian, Ella, Rose, Emma, Snow, Cyrus and Axel were standing at the headstones with Freya, Alcina, Rose and Grace's names.
"Hades thinks he can beat us," Emma told them. "It's time to prove him wrong."
Ella pointed to the stones. "When Cyrus and Rose burn these names from the graves, there'll be nothing keeping Freya, Rose, Grace and Alcina here. Freya can use her heart to restore Jefferson. The madness between them will be balanced again."
"Then we can all go home," Emma told them.
Cyrus and Rose began to burn the names off the graves with their magic. The wind suddenly picked up.
Axel looked around. "Wait. Something's wrong."
"What is it?" Rose asked.
"Some kind of scent," Axel answered. "It's off. It's wrong."
"And any captain worth his salt knows when a storm's brewing," Killian told them. "And trust me, we need to find shelter now. Go! Go!"
They ran for cover as a twister formed a few meters ahead, taking shelter. The wind instantly died down.
"Well, that was quick," Emma told them.
"Everyone okay?" Ella asked.
"Yeah," Snow answered. "But something's out there. Something was in that storm."
Axel stepped out from behind the grave, and was tackled by some form of monster.
Everyone else looked on in shock. "Axel!"

Underworld
Library Roof
On the roof of the library, Cyrus suddenly woke up from his vision, breathing heavily.
Rose was standing watch. "Bad dream?"
Cyrus sighed, nodding. "Yeah." He stood, walking over. "It was nothing. Sorry I fell asleep."
Rose was concerned. "I'm glad you did."
"It's not the best way to keep watch," Cyrus told her.
Rose shrugged. "I've got it under control. You've needed the sleep as of late." They exchanged a look and smile, before they both noticed a light flashing below. "That's the signal. They're ready."
ღ
Inside
Ella, Emma, Regina, Alcina and Faye had finished putting up a code on the elevator to help the get past. Henry, Snow, David, Killian and Axel were watching. Cyrus and Rose walked in.
"Where are Aunt Freya, Uncle Jefferson, Grace, Lisa and Blake?" Henry asked. "Christopher, Tori, Saphira and Mathias?"
"Gold and Belle are helping them with the Hades thing," David answered. "Trying to get Freya free. Trying to make everyone in that family, including you and Rose, Henry, are safe."
Henry nodded. "Well, Derek and Robin are still in the woods. Making sure Aunt Ally and Robin's twins and Derek and Faye's baby are safe."
"Don't worry," David told him. "Everything's gonna be fine."
Henry sighed. "I hope so."
Cyrus sighed in relief to see Axel safe. "Axel."
"Yeah?" Axel asked.
Cyrus was cut off before he could speak by Regina.
"Cyrus, Rose, now that you're in here, Emma, Ella, Ally, Faye and I could use a little help here," Regina told them.
"So this is what you've been working on all night?" Killian asked. "This is our new plan to defeat Hades and go home? A bunch of squiggly lines?"
"Hades put one hell of a protection spell on his elevator, and these 'squiggly lines' are the only way to crack it open," Alcina told them.
"Then hopefully that elevator will take us straight to him," Snow told them.
David nodded. "Maybe with surprise on our side, we can get a shot at him."
"That's a lot of 'maybe's and 'hopefully's," Axel remarked.
"It's all we have right now," Ella replied. "Okay."
Faye shrugged. "At the risk of plagiarizing my family's motto again and having Tori, Saphira and Mathias come after me for royalty money." They looked at her. "Let's do this."
They chuckled. Faye, Alcina, Regina, Emma, Ella, Rose and Cyrus used their magic on the elevator, able to open it, only to find a brick wall behind the doors.
David sighed. "So much for surprising him."
"Oh, we'll think of something else," Snow told them. "We always do."
Cyrus thought back to his dream. "What if..." He turned to face them. "What if I could burn Freya, Rose, Grace and Alcina's names off the gravestones that Hades made for them, the ones holding them here?"
"Regina looked for a spell like that," Emma told him. "It doesn't exist."
"Actually, it does," Cyrus told them. "It kind of came to me in a dream."
"A dream?" Alcina repeated. "Like the visions you and Merlin used to get? I thought your visions stopped when you were severed from Excalibur, Cyrus."
Cyrus sighed, shrugging. "So did I, and maybe it's not even a vision, but it could be, and I remember every detail. It would be a long shot, but..."
"Well, as for 'maybe's and 'hopefully's, I've learned never to question yours," Henry told him.
"I'm coming with you," Killian told him.
"So are me and Emma," Ella agreed.
Emma nodded in agreement. "What Ella said."
"Axel, Snow and I will take Henry back to the Hatter House," David told them. "Keep him safe."
"No, actually, I'm gonna go with Cyrus on this one," Snow told them.
"Me too," Axel agreed.
Remembering that Axel had gotten attacked in his dream, Cyrus shook his head. "No, no, that's not a good idea."
"I promised to take down Hades, remember?" Axel asked. "If this is how we do it, I'm in."
"Cyrus, I wouldn't argue with Axel," Henry told him. "Trust me."
"Get going," Regina told them. "And I'll... Well, Faye, Ally and I'll meet you at the cemetery."
"First, Gina, Faye and I should talk to Zelena," Alcina told them. "Apparently, she has some history with Hades. Gina, Faye, let's go."
"You think she'll talk to you?" Rose asked.
Faye shrugged. "I don't know. But if he does have a weakness, she might be the only person who knows what it is. Aunt Ally, Aunt Gina, let's go."
Regina, Alcina and Faye walked out together.
ღ
Street
Hades watched as Zelena walked past the fallen clock tower. Once she was gone, he started to walk forward, but stopped when he noticed a fully bloomed flower on the ground, picking it up, walking away.
ღ
Dog Shelter
Gaston had just finished feeding the dogs.
Hades walked in. "Now, this is just depressing. Look where Gaston the great hunter ended up, and all because of a woman. Not that I'm one to judge, believe me. I've had my own share of girl trouble lately."
"Lord Hades, why are you here?" Gaston asked.
Hades chuckled. "There are some visitors in town I think you might be interested in. The beauty you were once engaged to, her sister and her family, and the beast who stole them and then murdered you, all so Belle and Tori could look over his daughter and his castle. His family is all here, too. I believe Rumplestiltskin told you about Priscilla before."
"Yes," Gaston answered. "So the Dark One is finally dead?"
"Mm, not quite yet," Hades answered. "But how would you like to finally get your shot at revenge?"
"Why are you coming to me?" Gaston asked. "What's in it for you?"
Hades sighed. "Things have changed in my little domain lately. You know what I've been finding growing all over town?"
Hades showed Gaston the flower.
Gaston looked at the flower in surprise. "That's impossible."
"It should be, because nothing grows here," Hades agreed. "Things only decay."
"Well, I don't understand," Gaston admitted. "What's changed?"
"Hope," Hades answered, chuckling lightly. "Thanks to these new arrivals, hope has taken root, and when souls have hope, they move on, and I cannot have that."
Gaston shook his head. "Of course not, Lord Hades."
"These interlopers must be punished, starting with the man who murdered you and dared to go back on a deal with me," Hades told him.
"But how am I supposed to defeat the Dark One and his family?" Gaston asked.
Hades used magic to conjure arrows. "Check out the arrows. I think you'll find them up to the task. This is your chance to be a great hunter once again, and this time, your prey will be the greatest beasts of them all. Rumplestiltskin. And I believe you once called Tori a monster as well, but you have no idea the monster she's become while marrying a Dragon named Mathias, and having not one but two children of Siren and Dragon, named Saphira, and an unborn child she's carrying now. And you wouldn't even begin to understand if I tried to tell you about Faye, or her child with a boy named Derek, who happens to be Saphira's boyfriend, but you're not going after Faye or Derek. You're going after Tori, Saphira and Mathias as well. They're beasts just as much as the Dark One, and I'm sure you'll only be too happy to hunt them down. I have to warn you, though, Priscilla, who goes by Freya these days, and her family, Jefferson and Grace, will be protecting them. And my own family as well. Lisa, Blake and Christopher. These arrows should help you keep them out of the way even for a little bit."

Enchanted Forest
Day - Woods
Belle and Gaston were walking through the woods together.
"I have to say, I'm impressed how far you've hiked," Gaston told her. "I suppose your perseverance is matched only by your beauty."
Belle chuckled. "Really? Does that line work on all your first dates?"
"Have we moved from meeting to a date?" Gaston asked.
"You know what I mean," Belle told him.
Gaston nodded, smirking. "I bet you think I'm the same Gaston as all the stories you've heard about."
"I must say, my sister Tori and I have heard some unflattering tales," Belle admitted.
"Well, then I profoundly apologize," Gaston told her. "I have this friend LeFou, who loves to spread tall tales to embarrass me."
Belle nodded skeptically, not convinced. "Ah, so you're--you're not this great hunter of women that Tori and I've heard so much about?"
Gaston shook his head. "I hunt only wild game, I assure you. My love lie has been tragically empty. Actually, I've spent my whole life looking for a woman of real substance." He heard a noise. "Wait."
"What is it?" Belle asked.
"Wild creature," Gason answered. "Very large. Very close. Stay here."
Gaston left Belle to go find the creature.
After a moment, Belle followed, trying to find him. "Gaston? Gaston? Gaston! Gaston?"
Belle found him by a hole in the ground.
"Well, I'm afraid this won't be much of a hunt," Gaston told her. "Whatever that was, it fell into this old hunting pit. Impossible."
"What is it?" Belle asked.
Gaston showed her that a tiny ogre was inside the hole. "War is closer than we thought. It's an ogre."
Belle frowned in confusion. "What? No. There's never been an ogre anywhere near the castle before. Look at him. He--he's barely full grown. He's just a child. Maybe he wandered too far from home."
"Or maybe they're using their young as scouts and an entire army's following behind," Gaston told her. "We have to haul him up and take him back to your father and sister Tori."
"What?" Belle asked. "No, we can't. We bring this creature back to the castle, the soldiers will torture him. We have to find another way."
"This isn't our decision," Gaston pointed out. "The whole kingdom could be at risk."
Belle gave him an annoyed look. "I know, and I realize you've only known me an hour, but if you trust me, I promise Tori and I can find out what this ogre's after without hurting him."
Gaston sighed, chuckling. "Lead the way."

Now
Underworld
Pan's Pawnshop
The Hatters, Matthews, Gold, Belle and Christopher were searching.
Blake closed his book. "Useless."
Lisa was worried. "Guys, when Hades appears and he tries to attack, just let me and Blake handle it, okay?"
Mathias raised his eyebrows. "Excuse me?"
"Lisa's right, we can handle ourselves against Hades, so when he comes, just stay behind us and we'll protect you," Blake told them.
"We don't need protection," Tori told them. "Freya does."
"So do you, Tori, and Belle," Mathias told her. "You're both pregnant. You're in danger more than any of us besides Freya."
Gold rolled his eyes. "We're powerful enough to handle Hades."
Christopher shook his head. "No, you're not. That's the problem. Hades is a god. And yes, I know all of you are powerful, but Hades is on another level, but so are Lisa and Blake. Hades is staying away from me, Lisa and Blake, and only coming after you guys, to torture us."
"And why is that?" Saphira asked.
"Because Lisa and Blake can beat him," Christopher answered. "They're the Divine Pair, and by definition, a lot more powerful than anybody thinks, and if anyone would defeat him, it's Blake and Lisa. We don't know how yet, and using that much of their power could kill them if they don't know how to do it, but that's why Hades is staying away from Blake and Lisa and going after all of you."
"So, if he comes, he won't hurt you, if you're with us, so please just let us handle it," Blake told them worriedly.
"We're not damsels in distress," Grace told them. "We're not just going to stand by and let you fight Hades."
"We're doing this to keep you safe," Lisa told them.
"We know, and we love you for it," Jefferson told them. "And because we love you, we're not letting you do this alone."
"Exactly," Saphira told them. "Hades may be your family, but he's coming after ours. We are all helping."
"We can't let you guys get hurt anymore than you can let us get hurt," Tori told them. "Thank you for wanting to protect us. But we need to protect you, too."
Blake and Lisa looked at each other worriedly or what could happen.
"Well, keep looking," Lisa told them. "These books are full of light magic. There must be something in here that can help."
"If we wanted to boil a pot of tea, yes," Gold told them.
Jefferson looked at Gold. "So every time you try something nefarious, it's a smashing success. But when you try to channel that power for good, epic fail."
Gold nodded in acknowledgement, sighing. "I don't care what Merlin and Cyrus said. To be able to turn darkness to light is a fool's errand."
"As much as I hate to admit it, he might be right," Mathias told them. "That is the first and the last time I'm ever saying that. So don't get used to it."
"To use darkness for light?" Tori asked. "That may be possible."
Belle shook her head. "I won't allow it."
"What if we fail?" Blake asked.
"Aunt Belle, this is too much to risk," Saphira told her. "Our entire family is at risk."
"If Hades gets to Mama, who knows what could happen?" Grace asked. "We can't let him get to her. Or anyone else. We have to find a way to get us all out of here."
Lisa sighed. "What if they're right?"
Christopher tried to reassure the three teens. "Lisa. Blake. Grace." They looked at him. "We'll find a way. I promise."
"Will we?" Gold asked. "Because everything we try to find is just a wrong answer, or it will be something that pushes Priscilla further into madness, more than before."
"More than you have, you mean," Blake told him. "Everything with the darkness, Freya having to kill Jefferson for nothing, finding out what you did to her mother again, and everything with Hades and everyone being in danger."
"We're willing to try every way we can to prevent Hades from using Freya for what he wants," Mathias told him. "To stop our entire family from being in danger."
"While there may be a chance light magic won't work, we're still trying," Tori told him. "What are you doing?"
Gold knew they had a point, sighing.
Freya was getting more and more overwhelmed with everything they said, standing. "This was a mistake. I can't be here with him."
Freya left the shop.
Jefferson stood, following her. "Freya."
The others, worried, sighed, following.
ღ
Outside
The others followed Freya outside.
"Freya?" Jefferson asked. "Cilla, please come back."
Freya turned to look at them. "I can't take much more of that--"
Three arrows flew past Freya, making her stop in shock, nearly shooting into Grace, Lisa and Blake to distract them, but they caught the arrows. They all looked toward where the arrows had come from to see Gaston.
Tori and Belle looked at him in shock. "Gaston?"
"What are you doing here?" Tori asked.
"He killed me," Gaston answered. "I'm gonna return the favor."
"It's gonna take much more than a pointy stick to kill me," Gold told him.
Gaston scoffed. "We'll see about that."
Gaston fired more arrows at Gold, Tori, Saphira and Mathias, who each caught the arrows.
Christopher inspected the arrows. "Interesting choice of weapon. So it was Hades who sent you?"
Gaston nodded. "He and I want the same thing, to make sure the beasts stay down here."
Belle put herself between them. "Stop! Stop! Gaston, we all have history together, but there must be some other way to resolve it."
"I have been trapped down here for years, suffering and miserable because of the Dark One," Gaston told them. "So, no, I can't let him and the other beasts go free."
Gaston fired more arrows. Lisa and Blake used their power to poof the group away in swirls of white lights/smoke and black smoke.
ღ
Docks
Lisa and Blake had brought the group here.
Tori looked at Gold in shock, but still sassy and sarcastic. "So you killed Gaston, Belle's fiance, and never thought to tell us?"
"It was an arranged marriage," Gold told her. "I was doing her a favor."
Belle sighed, shaking her head. "This--this was a mistake. Once again, I've let my optimism cloud my judgment."
Christopher showed them the arrows. "His threat is real, you know. Hades forged these arrows in the River of Lost Souls, a River which flows right into this very sea, in fact." Hearing this, Freya became curious, walking toward the edge of the dock. "Now, immortal or not, Siren, Dragon or Siren/Dragon or not, one scratch, and anyone would be trapped in these waters forever, fulfilling part of Hades's threat against your family, and rendering them unable to help the rest of the family."
"Hades is clever," Gold told them. "He sent Gaston because he knows you won't let me hurt him. Let's prove him wrong. Let me use just a little bit of dark magic, just enough to take care of Gaston."
Lisa shook her head. "No. That's not how we're gonna defeat him. We're gonna do the opposite. We're going to help him. We're gonna see to it that he finally moves on from this infernal place."
Saphira sighed. "Lisa, please. He's not worth it."
Grace held out a hand. "It's not just about him. Axel and Hook said that when Axel's family and Hook's brother moved on, that it affected Hades somehow. It weakened him."
Mathias shrugged. "So by helping people move on... maybe that's how we defeat Hades."
"Fine," Blake told them. "You better hope that works. I'm not looking forward to losing anyone else. If we're gonna do it, let's do it. Okay?"
Grace nodded. "Yeah. Okay."
By the edge of the dock, Freya was still overwhelmed, looking into the River, kneeling down to watch the souls. "Do you think Mama is swimming around as one of the souls in there?"
The others were concerned and sympathetic from that comment, startled by the change of subject. Gold looked down, sighing.
Jefferson walked closer to Freya, offering her his hand. "Cilla."
"Jefferson," Freya replied, taking his hand, letting him help her up.
Jefferson turned her to face him, resting his hands on her shoulders calmingly. "Come here. Look at me. I know it's hard to fight off right now, especially since you haven't slept since you rescued me from Hades, and everything you found out. That's why it's so hard right now. After all of this, you need some sleep so you can have a better time controlling it."
"I'll sleep when I'm dead," Freya told him. "Which might be sooner rather than later."
Grace walked closer worriedly. "That's not funny, Mama." Freya sighed, holding her head in pain, kneeling next to Grace so the two could embrace. Grace held her mother close in worry. "We're gonna save you. I promise."
Lisa and Blake also embraced Freya.
"We will," Lisa agreed. "Freya, right now, we have to make sure that Saphira, Tori and Mathias stay safe. We're not letting Gaston and Hades trap them, Gold and Mathias and Tori's baby to these waters forever."
"Just hang on, okay?" Blake asked. Freya nodded. Blake sighed. "All right."

Killian, Ella, Rose, Emma, Snow, Cyrus and Axel were standing at the headstones with Freya, Alcina, Rose and Grace's names.
"The spell worked in my dream," Cyrus told them. "Now Rose and I just need to make it happen."
Cyrus was very worried when they said those things because they had said the same thing in his dream.
"And trust me, we need to find shelter now."
"Why did you guys have to say those things?" Cyrus asked.
"Oh, it's fine, Cyrus," Killian told him. "It's just a storm. We've survived worse."
Cyrus shook his head. "No, I should not have brought you here. My dream, it wasn't just a dream. This is exactly how it happened."
"Can we talk about that a bit later?" Emma asked. "We need to take shelter now."
Ella ushered them along. "Go! Go!"
They ran for cover as a twister formed a few meters ahead, taking shelter. The wind instantly died down.
"Well, look at that," Rose told them. "The world's fastest storm. Maybe this is turning into a good dream."
Cyrus sighed. "It wasn't the storm I was worried about. In the dream, the cyclone brought a monster."
"What kind of monster?" Snow asked.
They heard a creature roar in the distance.
"I'm guessing that kind," Axel answered. "I'll take a look."
When Axel went to step out into the open, Cyrus grabbed his shoulder to stop him. "No, Axel, you just have to trust me. I can't let you do this."
Axel nodded warily. "Okay. Okay, Cyrus, it was your dream. You tell us, what do we do now?"
They heard the creature roar again.
"I'll answer for Cyrus," Snow told them. "Just this once. We run."

Granny's Diner
Zelena was sitting alone. Regina, Alcina and Faye joined her.
"You want some company?" Regina asked.
Zelena nodded, so they sat down.
"How are the babies?" Zelena asked.
"Safe," Alcina answered. "Hidden in the woods with Robin and Derek Hood. Hades will never find where they are."
Zelena sighed. "He'll find them eventually. When he wants something, he never gives up."
"And you know this how?" Faye asked.
Zelena cleared his throat. "I don't want to talk about it."
"Zelena, for once in our lives, maybe you, Ally and I can just try acting like sisters," Regina told her. "And you can be an open mother with Faye. What happened between you and Hades?"
"He fell in love with me," Zelena answered.
Regina, Alcina and Faye didn't know what to say for a moment, completely stunned. "Oh."
"I know, it was totally ridiculous," Zelena told them. "The idea that anyone could love me, besides Faye... He actually helped me find a cure for Faye when she was dying, actually, back in Oz."
"Why didn't you tell me?" Faye asked.
"I didn't know what to say," Zelena answered.
Faye considered this for a moment, realizing what it meant, incredulous, shocked, and reacting in a comic way. "Wait. So the great uncle to my crush Blake fell in love with my mother? Are you kidding me?"
They chuckled at her reaction.
Regina looked at Zelena. "Do you love him? I can imagine how hard this is for you. But you know Hades. He's the one who's keeping us all down here. He's targeting the entirety of Faye and Alcina's family. So we need to know what his weakness is."
Zelena chuckled. "So this little visit wasn't just familial concern. It was about Hades."
Alcina sighed. "No. It was both."
Zelena shook her head. "Well, I'm sorry I don't have more to offer, but as far as I know, I'm his only weakness."

Emma, Ella, Snow, Rose, Killian, Cyrus and Axel made their way inside.
Emma sighed. "Okay. I know it seems a little creepy. But we should be safe down here."
"Are you sure about that?" Ella asked. "What the hell is that thing? And why is it chasing us?"
Axel shrugged. "I don't know, but it seemed familiar. If it comes close, I can get a shot at it."
Cyrus stopped him. "No, you cannot go back out there."
"Cyrus?" Killian asked. "What are you so afraid of? We've faced monsters before."
"It's okay," Snow told him. "You can tell us. We're all here."
Rose nodded encouragingly.
Cyrus sighed. "My dream, it's happening, and there's something I didn't tell you. Axel died."
They looked at him in surprise.

The Hatters, Matthews, Christopher, Belle and Gold were trying to figure out what Gaston's unfinished business was.
"Aunt Belle, Lisa, we don't need to do this to find his unfinished business," Saphira told them. "I'm pretty sure we all know what it is. Killing Gold."
Lisa shook her head. "No, no, I don't accept that. You can't judge someone without knowing their full story."
"Here, Gaston's locker," Belle told them. "Um, can you, uh, can you magic this open for me?"
"Well, we certainly can," Mathias answered. "Are you sure you want us to?"
"Of course I'm sure," Belle answered. "Why wouldn't I be?"
Mathias scoffed. "Well, using our power to steal another man's property. Doesn't that qualify as dark magic?"
"This isn't murder," Belle told them. "We're opening a locker."
Tori nodded sarcastically, a little annoyed with her sister, but letting it go. "Oh, so you get to be the judge of when the ends justify the means. I see. As Christopher said, it's all about points of view."
Saphira rolled her eyes, using her Dragon strength to rip off the lock, tossing it aside. "There. No magic needed."
Belle nodded. "Thank you, Saphira." She opened the locker, finding a book titled 'Her Handsome Hero'. "This. I'm his unfinished business. I'll, uh, I'll wait for him. You should go. Trust me, I--I can get through to him."
Blake sighed. "You better hope so. We don't have all day."
Jefferson sighed, turning to Freya. "Cilla, you okay?" Freya nodded, taking Jefferson's hand, tracing her finger along his palm. "You want to go get some air?"
Freya nodded, standing. Jefferson looked at the others, walking out with Freya. Grace followed.
Christopher took both his kids by the hands. "Lisa, Blake, they're gonna be okay. We're gonna find a way out of this for them. I promise."
Lisa and Blake nodded, but were still worried, as they embraced their father.

Day - French Castle
Tori brought a book over to Belle and Gaston. "Here, I found it."
Gaston read from the book. "'An Alphabetized Inventory of Magical Antiquities'. Sounds a bit dense."
"No, this is a wonderful book," Tori told them. "It's a record of every magical item in the kingdom."
"And you think one of them will tell us what this ogre is after?" Gaston asked.
"I'm sure of it," Tori answered. "That's why our mother keeps these records, for emergencies like this."
"Your mother must be quite a woman to have raised two daughters with this much... fire in them," Gaston told them.
"Well, I have a lot of fire in me, always willing and able to go out and do something about everything," Tori explained. "Belle just likes to do the research."
Belle chuckled, nudging Tori with her shoulder. "Tori." They chuckled. Tori walked away to begin the research alone, while Belle and Gaston were still talking. "Our mother was the one who taught us to love books." Belle picked up a book. "Starting with this one."
Gaston read the cover. "'Her Handsome Hero'. Interesting. I wouldn't have picked either of you for a fan of cheap romance."
Belle chuckled, shaking her head. "No, no, this is not like that. This book is about compassion and forgiveness, the things that truly make a hero. You, uh, you can have it if you like."
"If this is indeed your favorite book, I shall read every word, twice, because I have a feeling, I've finally found a woman of substance," Gaston told her.
Tori was listening while researching, rolling her eyes, finding something in her book, walking over to show them. "Wait, look. This is what we need. Mirror of Souls. It says if someone has evil in their soul, it will be revealed in the mirror's gaze. Their eyes will glow with demonic fire, so if we see no fire, then the ogre means us no harm. This mirror's but an hour's ride away. Belle, we can go now."
"Good," Gaston told them. "You can get the mirror, and I'll watch over he ogre, but promise me, in case this creature's not innocent, you'll bring back your father and his knights."
Belle nodded. "I promise, and we'll see you soon."

Freya, Jefferson and Grace were walking together.
Hades appeared. "It's a cold day in Hell for all of us, isn't it? Jefferson, look at you, all non-tortured looking. Freya, Grace, hello."
They looked at him in surprise and suspicion, wary. Jefferson stood in front of Freya and Grace protectively.
"What do you want from us?" Freya asked.
"You mean other than you?" Hades asked, chuckling at Jefferson's angry look. "Relax, Jefferson. I'm not gonna hurt either one of you. Actually, I'd like to help. How would you like to make a deal?"
Freya scoffed. "My father has always made deals, and apparently sold me in one when I was five. And me and Jefferson have also been Dark Ones. I know what that means. Not interested."
"What about what Lisa said earlier, 'don't judge someone until you know their whole story'?" Hades asked. "Blake sure didn't like that."
"How did you know that?" Grace asked.
Hades chuckled. "I know lots of things. Perk of the job. Like you're trying to help Gaston move on."
"And so what if we are?" Grace asked.
"Oh, let's just say I like this little conflict that Gaston has against beasts like Rumple, Saphira, Tori and Mathias, and want it to go on," Hades told them. "Don't worry, Faye, and her and Derek's baby will be kept out of it, but not the other three, I'm sorry, four Matthews, if you include Mathias and Tori's unborn child."
"And what could you possibly offer us?" Freya asked.
"Oh, nothing... much," Hades told her sarcastically. "Just the thing you want most in the world." He whispered mockingly. "Your freedom. Got your attention now, don't I?"
Concerned, Jefferson turned to Freya, knowing not to trust Hades. "Freya..."
Freya looked from him to Hades. "We're listening."
Hades smirked. "Smart girl, because this is the easiest deal in the world. All you have to do is let Rumplestiltskin, Tori, Saphira and Mathias face Gaston. If one of them throws the other into the River of Souls, I'll take the mark off you and your family."
Grace was worried. "No, we swore we'd help Gaston move on, and we keep our word."
"And if it's either me on the line, or Tori, Saphira and Mathias, and Mathias and Tori's baby, I'm not gonna put them in danger," Freya told him. "Not even Papa, either."
Hades laughed. "Wow. You really don't care about what happens to you, do you, Freya? You just care about what happens to your family, even Rumple, after everything he did to you. Now, that is such a nice sentiment, but take it from me, love for your family or lovers, makes you do crazy things. I bet, with your family on the line, all of you are capable of anything. Especially you, Freya, how mad you're becoming, just like before. What are you willing to do to save your family? Oh, I should say, save most of your family, since you couldn't save your mother from your father, and couldn't save your brother from Zelena."
Freya tried very hard not to let him get to her, turning her head away, holding a hand to her temple in pain, hearing Milah scream "Cilla!" in her head, right before Gold had pushed her into the River of Souls, and hearing the last time Neal had called her Cilla before he had died.
Jefferson glared at Hades. "Get the hell out of here."
Hades chuckled in amusement. "Fine. Keep that wife of yours on a leash, Jefferson, if you wanna keep her. Let me know if you change your minds."
Freya, Jefferson and Grace exchanged a worried look.

Regina's Vault
Emma, Ella, Snow, Rose, Killian, Cyrus and Axel were here.
"I think that monster's gone away," Killian told them. They heard rumbling from outside, preparing an attack. Killian raised his knife, only to see Faye, Regina and Alcina walk in. "Sorry, loves."
Faye smirked. "Well, I'm glad your reflexes are better than your sense of style."
"Well, this has turned into quite a day," Alcina told them. "Why are you all in our vault?"
"Short version?" Snow asked. "Thing with fangs trying to kill us."
"And you're hiding instead of fighting?" Regina asked.
"Cyrus saw the same monster in his dream," Emma explained. "And in the end, it..."
"It killed Axel," Ella finished. "So..."
"Cyrus got his premonitions back?" Faye asked. "It really was a vision?"
"Apparently," Rose answered. "Cyrus? Any chance you're getting a vision now?"
"Am I doubled over, clutching my head in excruciating pain?" Cyrus replied.
"No," Rose answered.
Cyrus nodded. "Well, there you go."
"So you thought it was a message or some sort of vision of the future," Alcina told him. "Like the visions you used to get. But we all thought you wouldn't get them anymore since you were broke free from Excalibur."
"Let's just say your visions are back," Faye told him. "Hey, awesome. That's good for you."
"But why are you so worried about going out there and fighting?" Regina asked. "Maybe this vision isn't just about the monster. It's about you working out some issues."
Cyrus leaned against a cabinet, sighing. "I don't have any issues."
"I have to agree with Regina, Cyrus," Emma told him. "What's going on?"
Cyrus sighed. "Maybe I feel like I failed everyone."
"Failed?" Snow repeated. "When Nimue passed through you back in Storybrooke, you got the vision that told us how to save Freya and Jefferson from the darkness. You helped us pull the darkness out of them. You saved all of us from dying."
"But Jefferson still died, when it should have been me, and then Freya wouldn't have gone this insane, and none of you would have come down here like you did to save him, and none of you would be trapped here or in danger from Hades or monsters," Cyrus pointed out. "Anything that happens to any of you, it's my fault."
Rose walked closer, shaking her head in concern. "It's not your fault, Cyrus. We did what we did together. And you sacrificing yourself like Uncle Jefferson did? It would have been for nothing. Because the darkness would still would have went back to Gold, because he betrayed Uncle Jefferson and Aunt Freya, again."
"You didn't fail us, Cyrus," Regina told him. "You've helped all of us."
"We never would have made it this far without you," Ella told him. "We got Jefferson back because of you."
"And I'm not gonna die, okay?" Axel asked. "Now, if you want to get home, let's do what works. Let's face this monster together."
"You guys do that," Alcina told them. "Faye and I should find Freya, Jefferson, Grace, Lisa and Blake."
"And Mama Tori, Papa Mathias and Sister Saphira, and Aunt Belle," Faye added. "You guys deal with the monster. Axel's werewolf-ness can help in a monster vs. monster fight."
"Faye and I'll go help our other family," Alcina told them.
They all nodded in agreement.

Gaston slowly made his way inside, looking around, his bow and arrow ready to use, making his way into the back room, seeing what looked like Gold, Tori, Saphira and Mathias sitting down, shooting them each with an arrow, chuckling, walking closer. "I guess every beast has their weakness."
Gaston walked closer, seeing that they were just dolls.
Belle walked closer, sighing. "So you would really kill them if you had the chance. Yeah, I wasn't sure if you had it in you."
"This is pointless, Belle," Gaston told him. "Where are Tori, Saphira, Mathias and Rumplestiltskin?"
"Look, Gaston, please stop this," Belle told him.
"I can't!" Gaston snapped, hitting a table, breathing heavily. "Seeing monsters like them dead is the only thing I care about anymore."
Belle showed Gaston the book. "Are you sure about that?"
"You broke into my locker?" Gaston asked.
"Gaston, I want to help you move on," Belle told him. "If you still have this book, it must mean something to you."
"Of course it does," Gaston told her.
"Is it because I gave it to you?" Belle asked. "Am I your unfinished business?"
Gaston couldn't help but chuckle bitterly. "You think I have this book because I like it? I've triedto throw this out a--a hundred times, a thousand. It always reappears. It's part of my punishment down here."
Belle shook her head in confusion. "I don't understand."
"This book reminds me why I died," Gaston told her. "Because you made me weak!"
"What?" Belle asked. "Me?"
"I should have gone after Rumplestiltskin with an army, but I tried to follow your example," Gaston told her. "I tried to do what is right, but that book is wrong. Being a hero is not about compassion and having forgiveness. It's about strength! Doing whatever it takes to defeat your enemies."
"But Rumple isn't even your real enemy, Hades is," Belle told him.
"Why do you defend Rumplestiltskin?" Gaston asked. "He kidnapped you and Tori, made you servants, caretakers for Priscilla. You should want him dead, too."
"Yeah, well, I don't," Belle told him.
"Why not?" Gaston asked.
"He's my husband," Belle answered. "Mathias is Tori's husband, and Saphira is her daughter. Tori may be a Siren, Mathias may be a Dragon, and Saphira may be of both, just like her sister Faye, like the child of Faye and Derek, and just like the unborn child of Mathias and Tori, but they're still my family, and they're not the monsters that people make them out to be."
Gaston took all of this in, chuckling. "Good, old Belle. You always did have a soft spot for a monster, and all of it started with finding out what your sister Tori really is."

Belle and Tori were making their way back through the woods with Maurice and his knights.
Tori pulled out the mirror. "Gaston's keeping watch on the ogre, and this mirror will help us learn the truth of his intentions." She showed Maurice the mirror, revealing his eyes were normal, and doing the same for her and Belle to prove to him that she didn't have evil intentions. "See? The eyes don't lie."
Maurice sighed. "Victoria, Belle, I pray that you're right."
They set off, seeing Gaston lying on the ground, running closer.
"Gaston?" Belle asked. "Gaston! Are you all right?"
Gaston groaned in pain, sitting up. "It feels like I still have all my limbs."
"What happened?" Tori asked.
Gaston leaned back against the tree he was sitting against. "The ogre had escaped when I arrived. He was waiting in ambush."
"Then you're quite lucky to be alive," Maurice told him.
"I am so sorry," Belle told them, using a cloth to dab the blood away from Gaston's head. "This is--this is all my fault."
"It's all right, Belle," Gaston told her. "Seeing your concern makes it worth it."
Tori rolled her eyes. "Well, you two have had an interesting first day."
"Head back to the castle," Maurice instructed. "I'll gather my soldiers. We'll hunt this ogre down before he can do any more harm."
Gaston pushed himself up. "No, this ogre tried to kill me. I should return the favor. If you would allow, I'd like to lead the hunting party myself."
"You're a brave young man," Maurice complimented. "If you feel up to it, the hunt is yours."
"Then I'm coming, too," Tori told them. "There's still a chance to use this mirror."
"For what?" Gaston asked. "We know this ogre's a monster."
"Coming from someone who is used to being called a monster, I'm not taking anything at face value," Tori replied. "Perhaps he was just defending himself."
"Forgive her, Gaston," Maurice told him. "She gets this idealism from her mother. Doesn't help that her mother was tricked into an affair by a Siren to breed this half-breed."
Tori was angry at yet another episode like this from her stepfather, tired of having to grow up like this, turning to Maurice.
Belle stopped her, giving Maurice a look. "Father." Gaston looked at them in shock. "Tori's right. We must know the truth before we hurt him."
"Victoria, Belle, go home," Maurice told them. "It's what's best."
"Belle, Tori, it'll be fine," Gaston told them. "I promise."

Blake rolled his eyes. "So Faye's mother and my great uncle fell in love. This situation sucks."
Faye sighed. "Sucking doesn't even begin to cover this situation."
Blake smirked. "Finally someone agrees with me. Thanks, lollipop."
Faye winked. "Always, sweetie."
They smiled.
Saphira rolled her eyes with a smirk. "Enough googly eyes, you two."
"Can we get back to point here?" Mathias asked.
"What kind of a deal?" Tori asked.
"Look, we can't," Grace told them. "It doesn't matter, 'cause we said no."
Gold sighed. "Take it from a man who trades in deals. It matters very much."
Mathias was concerned. "Grace. Freya. Jefferson. What was the deal?"
"You can tell us," Tori told them.
Freya gave in. "All right. He said that if we let Gaston face Papa, Tori, Saphira and Mathias, and one of them ends up in the River of Souls, he'll then tear up the contract, and release me."
Alcina nodded knowingly. "And you, being Cilla, and not caring about what happens to you as long as your family is safe, turned him down."
Belle sighed in relief. "Thank you, Freya. I failed once with Gaston, but I can fix this."
Gold considered this, unsurprised that Freya had turned down the deal, but he was going to try to fulfill it. "I threw Milah into the River just to protect Cilla, her own mother, so you should know I have no problems with throwing Gaston into the River for the same reason, Priscilla. What Merlin and Cyrus said about a man that can control my half of the dark for good, I really want to be that man for you, for Belle, for my family, truly. Just... not today."
Gold disappeared in a whirl of blood red smoke. The others exchanged an annoyed, unsurprised look.

The hunting party was on for the ogre, who was running through the woods away from the knights and Gaston as they followed him on horseback. Further away, Belle and Tori were following the hunting party and the ogre on their horses.
Gaston stopped the hunting party, dismounting. "Hold."
"What is it?" Maurice asked. "What's wrong?"
"The ogre tracks stopped," Gaston answered. "Draw your weapons." They did as told. "There!" They found the ogre in a tree. Gaston used his bow and arrow to shoot it from the tree, making it fall. "Don't let it escape!" The ogre hid behind a rock, cowering. "The thing about an ogre is you got to hit 'em right in the eye."
Tori ran to put herself between Gaston's arrow and the ogre, catching the arrow. "No!"
"What are you doing?" Maurice asked. "Get away from that thing."
"I won't let you kill him without knowing he truth," Tori told them, showing them the mirror.
Belle ran closer. "Tori!"
"It tried to kill me, and that's all I need to know," Gaston told them, shooting an arrow through the mirror in Tori's hands, making it shatter.
Belle checked on the ogre, seeing that he had been tortured. "He--he's hurt. What happened to him?"
Tori looked in the corner of the broken mirror, seeing that Gaston's eyes were glowing red. "Gaston, you--you did this, didn't you? You tortured this ogre while Belle and I were gone. That's why he attacked you."
"I don't need an enchanted mirror to recognize a monster like him and you," Gaston told her. Tori rolled her eyes. "I'm trying to protect this kingdom. Step aside."
"This creature isn't the monster," Tori told him. "I'm not the monster. You are. And if you want to shoot him, you'll have to shoot me first." She looked at Maurice. "Is that what you want? You've hated me all my life, called me a monster every single day, did everything to tear me down, but you never once made a move to get rid of me because of Belle's and because of our mother's love for me. So, if you want to kill me, kill me, but do it knowing that you will lose Belle and our mother, too."
The ogre stood, nodding to Tori in thanks, running away to leave.
Maurice held out a hand to stop Gaston. "You've made a fateful decision tonight, Victoria. I just hope, for all our sake, it was the right one."

Gold was using magic to dangle Gaston from the ground. "Revenge is such a tricky business. I find it rarely ends well, unless, of course, you're me, and now, since you and Hades threatened my family, and Hades is bargaining Priscilla's freedom, you get to spend eternity trapped in these waters."
Gaston struggled to speak. "You may destroy me, but you'll always be a beast."
"Well, I'm all right with that," Gold replied. "You see, uh, this is the fun part."
The others arrived.
"Rumple," Saphira told him. "Stop. Please."
"For all that we've shared, let me tell you one thing before you go through with this," Belle told him.
Gold sighed. "All right, Belle, what is it?"
"I just want to tell you, I--I have always known who you really are, and that's why I love you," Belle told him, kissing Gold, distracting him so she could grab his dagger from his pocket, backing away, raising the dagger to control him. "But I also know who I really am, and I can't let you hurt him. In fact, I command you not to."
Gold was forced to put Gaston down.
"Belle..." Tori trailed off. "How do you know that this isn't a mistake?"
"Tori, you once released an ogre because it was nothing more than a harmless creature, one that Gaston tortured into attacking him," Belle reminded her. "You put your life on the line to save his life."
"That was a baby ogre who didn't want to hurt anyone," Tori replied. "Gaston tried to kill me that night. And he's trying to kill us all now."
Gaston picked up his bow and arrow. "She's right about that."
Gaston loaded up his arrow to shoot at Tori.
Faye used magic to stop the arrow before it could get to Tori. "No!"
When Gaston stormed over, nearly shooting more of her family than just Gold or the Matthews, but the Hatters and Alcina too, Freya pushed Gaston away from them, with more force than she had meant to, making him fall into the River, turning him into a lost soul, in shock from what she had done. "No..."
Everyone was in shock as well.

Maurice walked in. "Belle. Victoria. It happened."
"What has?" Tori asked.
"The eastern regions have been breached," Maurice answered. "Ogres are coming. It's war."
Tori rolled her eyes. "And you blame me. Of course you do. You blame me for everything, so why would this be any different? What I did was the right thing."
Maurice raised his voice angrily. "It was foolish and petulant!"
"No, no, I did what I had to to live with myself," Tori told him. "Unlike you."
"And now we're at war," Maurice told her.
Belle tried to stop the fighting again. "Father. Tori, please. It's like this every single day. Please, for once, stop."
Tori looked at Maurice, just as angry. "Has it occurred to you that our mistreatment of their young could have caused this conflict, not my act of mercy?"
Maurice sat down. "The reasons why no longer matter. What does is that we must do what it takes to save the kingdom."
Belle sighed. "I'm sorry, Father. I'm... sorry that it's come to this."
Maurice nodded. "I'm sorry, too. Our army is no match for theirs."
"What will we do?" Belle asked.
Maurice looked up at Belle. "Gaston's kingdom, their army could give us a fighting chance."
"You think they would assist?" Tori asked.
Maurice nodded. "With the right bit of diplomacy, perhaps."
Tori scoffed. "You want Belle to--"
Maurice nodded. "He still wants Belle's hand, Victoria. It could end the war." He looked at Belle. "You'd be our hero."
Gaston walked in. "Belle. Has your father told you the good news? Our kingdoms will unite, and we will defeat this threat. And you will one day be sovereign over a land far greater than has ever existed. We will rule side-by-side... if you will be my queen."
Gaston knelt before Belle, offering her his hand.
Belle considered for a long moment, taking his hand. "I will."

Freya was in absolute shock after what she had done to Gaston. "What have I done?" Jefferson walked closer, pulling her away from the edge of the dock, away from the water, trying to reassure and comfort her. Freya looked at Gold. "I guess you were right. Darkness will always win."
Gold sighed.
Jefferson shook his head worriedly. "I'm so sorry, Cilla. But this will not happen again."
"You saved us, Cilla," Alcina told her. "You saved our family."
Hades appeared. "Actually, not so much." They all looked at him in surprise. "Sorry to break up this beautiful domestic scene, but Freya is still mine, and the rest of your family? That depends."
"No, you made a deal with Freya, Jefferson and Grace," Christopher told him. "Gaston went in the sea."
Hades chuckled. "I said I would break the contract is Gaston threw Rumplestiltskin, Tori, Saphira and Mathias in the River, or if one of them threw Gaston into the River, Christopher. But since Freya did the deed..." He chuckled. "What a fun twist that was, no deal. How did it feel, Freya, to do the first thing I actually wanted you to do?"
Freya glared at him, about to lash out with magic.
Grace took her hand. "Mama, no." She glared at Hades. "You knew this would happen."
Hades chuckled. "Of course I knew, Grace. And I knew that once Freya did the first thing on my list for her, it would only be a matter of time before she started to do the rest, all on her own, and with joy."
The others stood facing Hades, in front of Tori, Belle and Freya, so they were behind everyone, and away from Hades. Blake and Lisa turned their bracelets into their staff and wand respectively, pointing them at Hades.
Jefferson was furious. "You bastard."
Mathias, Saphira, Faye, Grace, Alcina and Gold attempted to step closer. Blake and Lisa used magic to keep them back.
"No!" Lisa told them. "Stop. Stay back."
"Don't come any closer," Blake told them. "We got this."
Hades laughed at this. "Oh, oh, look at that, the adults needing a couple of children to defend them. Even though, none of us should be surprised. Lisa and Blake are celestial beings, after all. Your magic can't keep up with mine, but theirs can." He attempted to use magic against them. Christopher drew his sword, putting himself in front of the others since he couldn't be hurt with magic, not even by Hades'. "And what do you think you can do with that sword, Christopher?"
"Come over here and find out," Christopher told him angrily.
"Before you even think about it, Lisa and Blake made Christopher's bracelet so it protects him from all magic attacks," Faye told him. "And since it was made by their Divine Pair powers, it can stop even powers like yours."
"Well, aren't you all prepared?" Hades asked.
"Stand back," Alcina told him. "Unless you want to know exactly how prepared they are."
Blake and Lisa made their staff/wand glow, black for Blake's staff, and white for Lisa's wand.
"You can't stop me," Hades told them.
"We're not gonna let you hurt them," Lisa replied.
"And Freya is not your toy for you to just mess around with whenever you're bored," Blake told him. "She's not some slave."
Hades chuckled. "Oh, sure she is. She's great, and she could be a real hard worker in my realm. You see, I own her, remember? And soon, she will be doing what I want her to do, without all the fighting and drama involved."
"No," Lisa told him. "We will get Freya free from you, you monster."
"Me?" Hades asked. "Freya's the one who doomed Gaston to eternal torment. After what she did as the Dark One, might I add, she could have been an even bigger monster than her father, just like Jefferson could have been."
"Don't listen to him, Cilla," Jefferson told her. "He wanted this to happen."
"Why?" Alcina asked. "Why did you push Cilla to this?"
Hades knelt next to a flower on the ground, which wilted and died. "Uh, I have my reasons, and a list of things I want done for me, that I want Freya to do for me, and this was the only way to get her started down that path of destruction and mayhem, all over again. See, if Freya wants to do it, then there's nothing you can do to help her. And let's be honest, Freya, you enjoyed pushing Gaston into the water." Freya glared at him, shaking her head. "You can lie to them, to yourself, but not to me." Hades plucked the dead flower, smelling it. "Now this is a beautiful flower, imbued with my favorite scent. Hopelessness."
"Freya's not gonna work for you," Saphira told him. "Just walk away, Hades."
Faye walked closer to Hades fearlessly in anger. "Unless you want me to tell my mother what you've really been up to all this time."
"You know, Faye, you're lucky that I have important things to do," Hades told her. Faye nodded sarcastically. Hades looked at Freya. "But don't worry, I'll come back to play more with my toy later."
Everyone glared at him.
"Not your toy," Mathias told him. "But knowing you'll come back for more."
Hades turned to leave. Blake looked at Hades in anger, making his eyes turn black, shooting a concentrated powerful black blast out of his staff at Hades. Hades turned around, seeing the blast, disappearing into blue fire. The blast hit the dock, making pieces of it explode. Lisa and Christopher looked at Blake in shock, putting a hand on either of his arms to calm him down. Christopher pulled his children into a hug, and they both returned it, worried. Tori, Saphira, Faye, Mathias and Belle shared an embrace. Freya was still in shock, looking down numbly. Alcina, Jefferson, Grace, Lisa and Blake walked closer worriedly. Freya backed away slowly, worried about what she could do now after this really started, scared now more than ever of what she could do to the people she loved. Jefferson embraced her, as Freya leaned her head on his shoulder, in shock.
"Freya?" Blake asked worriedly.
"You okay?" Faye asked.
Freya shook her head. "This is all my fault."
"No, it's not," Gold told her. "If you want anyone to blame, blame me."
"You think I haven't tried that?" Freya asked. "Why do you think we're all down here, Papa? What the hell was I thinking bringing everyone down here? This was a terrible plan. I should have done this alone. Now I'm afraid that someone will die, or I'll do something to the people I love, and it'll be my fault, and I'll never forgive myself."
Alcina shook her head. "Cilla, you didn't force any of us down here. We all wanted to come with you."
"You wanted us all to stay home, remember?" Saphira asked. "We wanted to come with you because we knew you couldn't do this alone."
"We knew it would be hard," Tori told her. "These things always are."
"But some things are worth it," Lisa told her. "Love is worth it. Family is worth it. And we're all family here."
"We're not going away that easily," Mathias told her. "Not ever."
Freya had tears in her eyes, fighting them off. "What if I hurt you?"
Jefferson shook his head, holding her reassuringly. "You're not gonna hurt us. We're gonna hurt the bastard that's doing this to us."
Freya held onto Jefferson and her family, trying to remain strong and trying not to break, a few tears falling as she leaned her head against Jefferson's shoulder.

Granny's Diner
Zelena was sitting alone. A waitress placed down an order at her table, walking away.
Zelena watched her go in confusion. "I didn't order anything."
Zelena opened the tray, revealing her name written on a card, and the dead flower Hades had picked from the docks wrapped in red cloth with a white bow tied around it. She took out the dead flower, knowing who it was from, smiling slightly.

Woods
Regina, Emma, Snow, Rose, Ella, Killian, Cyrus and Axel were walking together, tracking the monster from the cyclone.
Axel was leading the way by scent. "It's close. Keep your eyes peeled."
Ella saw something in the distance. "There."
Regina, Emma, Rose, Ella and Cyrus used their magic to bring the monster down.
"Nice shot," Killian complimented.
Regina nodded in agreement. "Indeed."
"Wait," Emma told them. "Everybody stay back."
"That thing could still be alive," Ella told them.
They came up to the monster.
Rose saw what it was. "No. Stop! Don't kill it! Cyrus's dream was a vision. But it wasn't about saving Axel. It was about finding her."
Cyrus nodded in agreement. "Yeah. Rose..."
Axel was stunned. "A werewolf."
Snow found Ruby's red cloak, putting it over the wolf to turn her back into Ruby, kneeling next to her, trying to wake her up. "Red? Red."
