From 1.01 "This is the Part Where You Run", there was a shot of the school.
Kaylin: (voice over) "Previously on Worlds Colliding (Legacies)."
From 1.02 "Some People Just Want to Watch the World Burn", outside the school, Lindsey and Ryan stood at the gate.
Lindsey turned to look out through the bars of the gate, and as she was speaking, there was a flash of Rae losing control to Rosalita in 1.01 & 1.03, the dragon in 1.02, the gargoyle in 1.03, and the Arachne in 1.04. "How are we supposed to protect them from a monster inside Rae's head and from stuff that's not supposed to exist?"
From 1.02 "Some People Just Want to Watch the World Burn", in the woods, Emma tossed the knife to Rafael. Rafael stabbed the knife into the dragon's throat.
Alaric: (voice over from 1.03 We're Being Punked, Lyla) "Whoever wields it has the power to save the world."
From 1.03 "We're Being Punked, Lyla", in Lindsey/Ryan's office, Alaric looked at Kaylin, Nicola and Lindsey. "Or end all life as we know it."
From 1.04 "I Felt Like Launching the Revolution", outside Mystic Falls High School, Kaleb accused Landon and Owen. "None of this started happening until you two showed up and stole that knife, which is exactly what the other monsters came here to do."
From 1.03 "We're Being Punked, Lyla", in the bus, MG had caught Kaleb feeding on Dana. "Kaleb?"
From 1.04 "I Felt Like Launching the Revolution", in the Grand Hall, Kaleb and MG were sitting together.
"I saw you feed on her," MG told him.
From 1.04 "I Felt Like Launching the Revolution", in the school kitchen, MG and Kaleb were here.
Kaleb was shouting at MG. "Dude, you gotta know who you stand with."
From 1.04 "I Felt Like Launching the Revolution", in the foyer of the school, Kaleb transformed, baring his fangs, trying to attack Matt. Tory easily mind controlled Kaleb into unconsciousness, making him fall to the floor.
From 1.04 "I Felt Like Launching the Revolution", in the school, Jed appeared on the landing, blocking Rafael's way. "Foster kid. I've been looking for you."
"Jed, right?" Rafael asked.
"We just want to initiate you into the pack," Jed told him.
There were flashes of Rafael fighting with Jed and the two wolves before Emma, Danny and Rae came to help.
Jed: (voice over from 1.04 I Felt Like Launching the Revolution) "You don't have a choice."
From 1.04 "I Felt Like Launching the Revolution", in the gym, Emma looked at Rafael. "You don't have to join Jed's pack. When Aunt Mikayla gets back, you can talk to her about becoming a Crescent Wolf, if you want. Like me, Hope, Danny, Dad, Lyla, Aunt Tory, Aunt Kacie, and Uncle Luke."
Rafael considered Emma's words seriously for a moment. "I might take you up on the offer about Mikayla's pack. But right now, I need to look out for myself and get through this right now."
From 1.04 "I Felt Like Launching the Revolution", in the backyard of the school, Danny was seeing flashes of visions of what Rosalita had put into his mind, triggered after the fight earlier and because of her reaching out into his mind. He held his head in pain, knowing that she was tormenting him after he was helping Rae so much in revenge, angrily screaming, lashing out with magic that took down an entire tree. Rae reached out to gently grab Danny's right arm to turn him to face her, using her mind control on Danny, placing her right hand on his chest, rubbing it comfortingly. Danny was able to calm down because of it, no longer seeing the visions in his head.
Rae: (voice over from 1.04 I Felt Like Launching the Revolution) "I was able to help you today."
From 1.03 "We're Being Punked, Lyla", in the street, Rae's eyes were glowing with Hellfire, breathing heavily with the effort that it took to fight Rosalita and keep her locked away, raising her head to look at the sky, releasing Hellfire to shoot into the sky to release most of the darkness she needed to to keep Rosa weakened, literally shining with fire light. Danny watched her in awe, though he was very worried about whether or not if she was in pain or if it could do more harm than just hurt her. After a long moment, Rae could finally release enough of the darkness to get Rosalita under control, looking at Danny, her eyes and veins still glowing with Hellfire, though the glow was slowly fading. Rae managed a small smile before she nearly fell from exhaustion. Danny instantly walked forward to catch Rae in his arms.
Rae: (voice over from 1.04 I Felt Like Launching the Revolution) "Like you've been helping me for two years."
From 1.04 "I Felt Like Launching the Revolution", outside the school, Danny looked at Rae. "I'm not giving up on you. So, please, don't give up on me."
Danny started to walk away.
Rae caught his arm before he left, lightly gliding her hand down his arm to his hand, causing Danny to look at her in surprise. "I don't want Rosalita to win this time. I just want you. I'm not running away this time."
Rae laughed, leaning closer to kiss Danny passionately, much to his shock, but Danny returned the kiss in kind happily. They continued to kiss sweetly, both smiling contently to make it to this point again.
From 1.04 "I Felt Like Launching the Revolution", in the school hallway, Hope, Madison, Owen and Landon were talking.
"We still don't know what you or your brother are, Owen, but Rae saw in your thoughts that you weren't wanting to lie or to run, and that some part of you two were telling the truth," Madison told him. "We just have no idea if we can trust you two if you can do things without realizing what you're doing. Because you saw what happened when you stole the knife. What if something happens like that again, only worse?"
"And somehow that's our fault?" Landon asked.
"It's nobody's fault, Landon," Hope told him. "We just can't take a risk here."
From 1.04 "I Felt Like Launching the Revolution", in the gazebo, Owen and Madison nearly kissed again, but didn't.
"So you don't like me anymore?" Owen asked.
"I do," Madison answered. "But I need to learn to trust you again, but to also trust me with you."
Owen nodded in understanding, managing a small smile. "So is that a maybe?"
Madison chuckled, smiling a bit. "A definite maybe."
Owen made a silent cheer motion, doing a little dance.
From 1.04 "I Felt Like Launching the Revolution", outside the school, Ariara and Kacie were sitting together. Kacie was holding the phone that they were using to video chat with Mikayla.
Lindsey: (voice over from 1.04 I Felt Like Launching the Revolution) "The knife is away with Mikayla Labonair-Lockwood."
Mikayla slowly pressed herself against the wall, peering her head around the corner, where she saw a slimy black creature standing in the main doorway, raising her eyebrows in shock. She turned to face the creature, transforming into her wolf form to deal with the monster to attack, roaring at the creature.

Day One
Morning - Mikayla's Cabin - Outside
(Song:) In the End - Tommee Profitt (feat. Fleurie & Jung Youth)
Outside the cabin, long vines with feather like leaves crawled toward the front door, twisting around the doorknob so it could be opened. More vines crept in through the screen covered porch, using themselves to open the interior door as well, threading itself into the lock to unlock it.
-
Inside
The knife was laying on a chest across the room.
A mysterious woman wearing a shiny green cloak slowly walked in, right toward the knife. When she reached out to grab it, her hand was stopped by a mystical barrier. Confused, she turned around to assess her current situation, becoming furious when she saw that Mikayla had trapped her with a magical dark object with involved a circle using flowers and herbs. Lowering the hood of her cloak, the woman, whose red hair and pale skinned body was entwined with vines and other foliage to create a dress, glared at Mikayla. The creature was a Dryad. "You deceived me."
Mikayla walked closer, surprised, pulling out her phone to make a call. "Kacie? I got one that talks."

Salvatore Boarding School - Grand Hall
The students had gathered in the grand hall for an assembly.
Lindsey and Ryan were standing at the podium in front of the room.
"Given recent events, some students have expressed concern that we are not allowing you to have a say in the decisions that affect your future," Ryan told them, looking at Emma and Danny, who were sitting in the front row and both smiled a bit. "And Lindsey and I agree."
Lindsey nodded in agreement. "If you are expected to abide by this school's policies, it's only fair that you have a voice in how those rules are made."
Danny held his hand palm up toward Emma, who gave Danny a low five before they turned their attention back to their parents's speech.
"So, we are forming an honor council," Ryan explained. "One vampire, one witch, one werewolf... and because of the many unique creatures that we have in this school like Hope Mikaelson, Rae Salvatore-Mikaelson, Madison Fell-Mikaelson, Lyla Thompson, Ariara Nata, and our very own children, Emma and Danny, born of the Davis witch but the Thompson werewolf bloondline... one of them can be elected as the voice for the one of a kinds in this school." Hope, Rae, Madison, Lyla, Ariara, Emma and Danny looked at each other, smiling slightly. "Each elected by their peers. Along with Lindsey, whose vote will represent the younger students."
Lyla frowned.
MG, sitting in one of the front rows, excitedly turned to look back at his fellow vampires, only to hear one of them whispering about him. "MG is such a narc."
MG's smile fell as he looked at them forlornly before turning to face the front again.
"Now, Tory, Luke, Kacie and Alaric have to go off campus," Lindsey explained. "In the meantime, with me, Ryan, Kaylin and Nicola still here, we expect you to make good decisions and to vote wisely. That's all. You're dismissed."
Tory, Luke, Kacie and Alaric exchanged a look, nodding to each other, turning to grab their bags, heading out to the front of the school. Meanwhile, all the other students began murmuring amongst themselves while they got ready to head to their respective classes.
Rafael walked up to Lindsey and Ryan. "Hi, Lindsey. Ryan?"
"Yes, Rafael?" Lindsey asked.
"Um, is there a decision coming about if Owen and Landon can stay here?" Rafael asked.
"We are running tests on them to figure out once and for all if they're supernatural," Ryan explained.
"What if the results aren't clear?" Rafael asked.
"Then we'll have a decision to make," Lindsey answered.
Rafael nodded. "Well, can the honor council decide? Isn't that the point? You know, that we have, like, a say in stuff like this?"
Ryan nodded. "If it comes to that, and we determine they're not a danger, then yes."
Rafael was pleased by this answer, smiling, bouncing on the balls of his feet happily. "Thanks. You're not gonna regret it."
MG walked up to them. "Lindsey, Ryan, hey. Hi. Um, do you have a minute to talk about Kaleb?"
"Sure, MG," Lindsey answered.
MG looked both relieved, anxious and hyper all at once. "Okay, thank you. 'Cause when I told Lizzie about how Kaleb was feeding on the girls at the high school, I didn't think that my big mouth would get him sent to vampire prison."
Ryan gave him a look. "Your 'big mouth' had nothing to do with it. Kaleb's locked up because he tried to attack Matt Donovan, Tory's cousin, and because he needs to dry out. He became a threat not only to innocent people, but to himself."
MG paused to process this response. "That's cool." Not wanting to squander his opportunity to get himself out of trouble with his peers, he continued to walk with Lindsey and Ryan. "But, um, I was wondering, maybe you could show him some leniency so that the--the vamps won't be so pissed at me."
Lindsey sighed. "Trust me, the punishment fits the crime, since he tried to attack and kill the Sheriff. Unless, of course, you think we're wrong, in which case you can feel free to bring it up at the honor council meeting."
MG nodded in agreement. "Okay, yeah."
MG walked away forlornly.
-
Outside
Tory, Luke, Kacie and Alaric were about to get into an SUV to leave, opening the car doors. Lyla and Ariara appeared next to the car.
Lyla raised both her hands, both hands facing forward, then turning her palms to face each other, magically slamming all four of the car doors closed again. "Are you kidding me?"
Luke gave Lyla a look. "Are we under assault today?"
"Why do you, Mom, Aunt Kacie and Ric get to go see Aunt Mikayla and another creature that might not be evil, Dad?" Lyla asked.
"A tree nymph, right?" Ariara asked.
"Tree nymph?" Lyla repeated.
Ariara shrugged. "I guess."
"First of all, it's a Dryad, not a tree nymph," Tory told them. "Second of all, you two have classes."
Ariara gave them a look. "We get to be let out classes a lot because we can do things that nobody else can do."
"Lyla, Ariara, you two should be here for the vote," Kacie told them. "I mean, one witch, one werewolf, one vampire, and one labeled 'other' are getting to be voted for the honor council, and both of you? You're both labeled 'other', just like Hope, Rae, Emma, Danny and Madison."
"Kacie, I rarely get to see you and Mikayla, and here you are, going off to meet her and interrogate a Dryad, so I would like to go with you," Ariara told her.
"I wanna see Aunt Mikayla, too," Lyla agreed. "And Ariara and I already told Hope, Rae, Emma, Danny and Madison that we don't care who gets the 'other' label on the honor council."
Tory and Luke both sighed. "Lyla..."
"Mom, Dad, please let me go," Lyla told them. "It's not like I can get on the honor council anyway, since I'm in the younger class, and Aunt Lindsey is taking the vote for the younger people."
Tory, Luke, Kacie and Alaric exchanged a look.
Alaric chuckled, shrugging. "It's your kids, your call."
Kacie sighed, looking at Ariara and Lyla. "Fine. Get in."
Lyla did a little cheer. "Yay!"
Ariara chuckled. "Thank you."
Tory, Luke, Kacie, Ariara, Lyla and Alaric got into the SUV, driving away.
-
Elsewhere Outside
Kaylin, Nicola, Hope, Rae and Madison were talking.
"So, Tory, Luke, Aunt Kacie, Ariara and Lyla get to go with Ric to meet up with Aunt Mikayla and interrogate a tree nymph, and we have to run Owen and Landon's 23andMe?" Rae asked. "How is that fair?"
"A Dryad," Nicola corrected.
"Wow, literally nobody cares, Nikki," Kaylin told her with honest sarcasm.
Hope, Rae and Madison smirked in agreement.
Nicola chuckled with an eye roll. "Shut up, Kaylin."
"Hmm, I like tree nymph better than a Dryad anyway, not that I got to meet one," Kaylin admitted.
"I got an idea," Rae told them. "Why don't you two test Owen and Landon for supernatural ness, and Hope, Madison and I can focus with Emma and Danny about the 'other' category in the honor council, while Ariara and Lyla are gone."
"Ariara and Lyla both literally told me, Rae, Madison, Emma and Danny that they don't care who gets elected out of us for the honor council," Hope explained.
"Well, we can supervise the tests on Owen and Landon, but we're gonna be busy helping Lindsey and Ryan manage the school in Tory and Luke's absence while they're with Kacie, Mikayla, Ariara, Lyla and Ric," Nicola explained.
Kaylin smirked smugly. "Plus, if Owen and Landon can convince the three of you that they belong, they can convince anybody, even Emma, Danny, Ariara and Lyla."
Madison gave Kaylin, Nicola and Rae a look. "You're enjoying this."
Rae nodded smugly. "I know I am. Hey, Hope, why don't you get to the part where you admit that you're projecting your first bad relationship with Roman and what he did to us even before he was mind controlled by Rosalita, onto Landon since what Landon did wasn't nearly as bad as what Roman did, and Landon didn't unintentionally help with the death of someone we all love."
Hope gave her a look. "Rae, what did we say about you staying out of our heads?"
"Admit that you're projecting what happened with Roman onto what happened with Landon and I will," Rae replied.
Kaylin chuckled. "Rae's got a point, Hope."
Hope nodded sarcastically, looking away.
"And Madison, it's okay that you wanted to kiss Owen last night even after everything," Rae told her. "I know that you still like Owen, just like Hope tries to deny that she still wants to be with Landon."
Hope and Madison scoffed.
"Okay, psychic girl," Madison told her. "Rae, seriously."
Nicola smirked. "Can't get away from Rae's truth bombs."
Rae smirked, raising her eyebrows smugly, tilting her head, clicking her tongue, winking.
Kaylin shook her head in agreement. "Mm-hmm. Madison, it is okay. For both you and Hope to still like Landon and Owen."
"Yeah," Nicola agreed. "I mean, it's not like they meant for any of this to happen. And you're still teens wanting to figure out yourselves. Even Owen and Landon."
Hope looked at Rae. "Only if you admit that you're like in literal love with Danny and have been since we were kids, and if you actually let him back in."
"I already did that last night, thank you very much," Rae replied.
Hope, Madison and Nicola looked at Rae in surprise. "What?"
Kaylin smiled. "Yeah, I saw Rae and Danny last night."
"You saw me and Danny kissing?" Rae asked. "Oh, my God, Mom, seriously?"
Kaylin, Nicola, Hope, Rae and Madison laughed lightly.
Nicola sighed heavily. "All right, so Kaylin and I are giving Hope and Madison instructions on what to do for Landon and Owen's testing, Rae. We can be there to supervise." She gave Hope and Madison a look. "And we are going to try not to kill them."
Hope and Madison nodded sarcastically.
Kaylin chuckled. "Besides, Nik, Elijah, Kol and I wanted to kill them enough for hurting you and Madison, Hope, and somewhat hurting Nikki considering that Owen practically worships her and it seemed like he betrayed us when we didn't know the full story."
"Then what is Rae gonna be doing?" Madison asked. "Going back to ignoring Danny or gonna be planning to be with him this time?"
Rae smirked sarcastically. "Mm. I know that I deserved that one." Hope and Madison nodded in agreement, causing Kaylin and Nicola to chuckle. Rae smirked, shaking her head. "And I'll be helping somewhat with the testing, since Mom and Aunt Nikki want to do a lie detector test on them eventually, and the best way to know if Owen and Landon are lying or not is through my mad mind reading skills."
Hope, Madison, Kaylin, Nicola and Rae smiled slightly.

Inside - Madison/Josie/Lizzie's Dorm Room
(Song:) Lady Sunshine - Appleby
Josie and Lizzie were here. Josie was laying on her side on the floor, working on Lizzie's campaign posters. The posters were inspired by Hillary Clinton's "I'M WITH HER" propaganda from the 2016 United States presidential election.
Lizzie was wearing a stark white business suit with a cloak-esque jacket that complimented her newly dyed platinum blonde hair, standing in front of Josie. "Josie, focus. Madison's busy with helping Hope, Rae, Kaylin and Nicola run tests on Owen and Landon, so I need your help." Josie looked up at Lizzie, giving her a look that seemed to say, 'I'm focusing'. Lizzie turned back toward the full length mirror in front of her, examining her outfit for a moment, flicking her wrist, using magic to change the color of her suit in the mirror from white to lavender, although in reality, it was still white. After scrutinizing her appearance for a moment, she groaned in frustration. "None of this is working."
Josie was still looking at the poster, trying to keep her own frustration out of her voice. "You know, you're not gonna lose the election over an outfit."
"I'm not worried about losing the election," Lizzie told her. "I'm worried about what I'm going to wear to my victory rally." Josie, still looking at the poster, rolled her eyes, though Lizzie was too preoccupied to see it. "The outfit makes the speech." Not a fan of the lavender color, Lizzie flicked her wrist again to magically change her suit's color to a bubblegum pink shade. She turned, seemingly liking the color, turning to Josie for her opinion. "How do I look?"
Josie looked up at her twin with a measured expression. "Maybe you should wear something that shows your fellow witches you're gonna take this seriously. It's a big responsibility."
Lizzie almost looked offended by the implication that she was not taking it seriously, walking over to Josie. "That is why I am perfect for the job." She put her hand over her heart, sitting down on the trunk in front of her bed. "I'm a taste maker, an influencer. People don't really know what they want until I tell them that they want it. They need me."
Josie didn't want to argue with Lizzie about this, simply nodding, looking back down at her posters.

Lindsey/Ryan's Office
Lindsey, Ryan, Emma and Danny were talking.
"I like that you guys thought up of the honor council," Danny told them. "Shows the school that you do let them have a voice."
Ryan chuckled. "Yeah. Well, that's because of what Emma said to us the other day, Danny."
"It's cool that you not only have a spot for vampire, witch and werewolf on the honor council, but you have a spot on the council for people like me, Danny, Hope, Rae, Madison, Ariara and Lyla for this school," Emma added.
"Yeah," Danny agreed. "Hope and Lyla, along with Aunt Tory, are the only ones of vampire, witch and werewolf tribrids. Emma and I are the only werewolf witches here in the school. Madison's the only Banshee we've heard of. And Ariara's the last one of her kind, and she's even more special than her kingdom since she was born from all three of the royal bloodlines and animals. Rae's a psychic immortal brought back from the dead with the Devil locked inside her."
"Exactly," Emma agreed. "I know that we don't get involved much in the school politics, but this was a great idea."
Lindsey and Ryan smiled.
"Well, I'm glad that you two approve," Lindsey told them. "And both of you seem to be doing a lot better today. I'm guessing Rae helped Danny after his lash out the other day." Danny nodded. "What about you, Emma?"
"I'm not completely drawn into the darkness of black magic again, if that's what you're asking," Emma answered. "I think Rae was able to keep Rosalita on a tighter leash to make her stop putting spells of black magic in my head."
"That's good, Emma," Danny told her. "I'm glad."
Emma took a deep breath to change the subject off of her. "So, I was walking outside the other night, and I caught a sight of something that I probably shouldn't have been seeing."
"Oh, yeah?" Danny asked. "What's that?"
Danny picked up a cup to take a drink from.
"You making out with Rae," Emma answered.
Lindsey and Ryan looked at them in surprise. "What?"
Danny nearly coughed up his drink in surprise, rolling his eyes at his twin sister's teasing. "Emma."
"Oh, I'm sorry," Emma told him sarcastically, teasingly. "Was that supposed to be a secret?"
"Okay, you know what?" Danny asked. "We are not talking about that."
Emma smirked, nodding sarcastically. "Mm-hmm. Yeah, I'm sure."
Danny rolled his eyes, standing. "You know what? Mom, Dad, you deal with Emma. I'm gonna go."
"Going to go see if you can find your girlfriend Rae?" Emma asked tauntingly.
"Bite me, Emma," Danny told her as he walked out of the room.
Emma smirked smugly, victoriously. Lindsey and Ryan both gave her an amused look.
Ryan chuckled. "Wow."

Hallway
Kaylin, Nicola, Hope and Madison were waiting for Owen and Landon, who walked toward them, as they were looking at a wooden stand full of test tubes.
Landon was shocked to see Hope and Madison with them. "What are you doing here?"
"Kaylin, Nicola, I thought you two were gonna administer our tests," Owen told them. "You didn't say that Madison and Hope would be here, too. Only one missing right now is Rae."
"She'll be here eventually to help us with something," Kaylin told them.
Landon nodded sarcastically. "Of course she will be."
Nicola looked down at the desk, where the files labeled "Landon Kirby" and "Owen Church" were sitting next to the test tube stand, along with a rubber tourniquet and several syringes. "We'll be starting with some weird mystical blood analysis."
"What?" Owen asked.
"No," Landon told them.
Madison narrowed her eyes at them. "Excuse me?"
"No," Landon repeated. "These tests determine whether or not Owen and I get to stay at this school right?" Kaylin, Nicola, Hope and Madison nodded. Landon looked at Hope pointedly. "There's no why I'm putting our future in your hands. You're biased."
Hope scoffed. "I'm not biased."
Kaylin shrugged. "Besides, none of us have a choice. Believe me, this is not how I would choose to spend my day, either. I would rather be sitting back and relaxing instead of giving these weird ass supernatural tests, but here we are."
"Here we are," Owen agreed, a little annoyed as well.
Landon shook his head, turning toward the door.
"Landon," Hope said. Landon turned back. "The last thing you told me was that you wanted to find answers about who or what you and Owen are."
"We want those answers, too," Madison told them. "So let's just get through this."
Owen and Landon were both a little nervous, but nodded in agreement.
Nicola sighed heavily. "All right. Let's begin."
-
Grand Hall
Penelope was holding a court with her witch cohorts, all of whom were drinking iced cappuccinos, on the staircase in the grand hall, where she was trying to convince them to vote with her in the honor council election. "Lizzie Saltzman only cares about Lizzie Saltzman. If your interests don't line up with hers, you're witch non grata. I personally believe that you deserve a better candidate."
Josie, lured by the sound of Penelope's voice, walked into the grand hall with a scowl. "So, you're running for honor council just to spite her?" The witches sitting around Penelope could see that the two witches needed privacy, standing up, walking away. Penelope stood, facing Josie. "That's low, Penelope, even for you."
Penelope smirked at Josie with a knowing expression. "You used to like it when I went low."
The memories of their time together when they dated hit Josie with yet another pang of regret.
Josie glared at her angrily. "You know what I mean. You don't even like extracurricular activities, let alone anything that involves a moral compass."
Penelope scoffed, walking up the steps toward her, grabbing one of the "I'M WITH HER" posters with Lizzie's face on it, holding it up. "Oh, and your one witch ethics committee is okay with double plagiarism?"
Josie, unable to deny that Lizzie was not exactly her first choice in witch representatives either, looked at Penelope blankly, snatching the poster out of her hands. "It's not like Hope, Emma or Danny were an option, Lyla's too young, and Rae, Madison and Ariara aren't witches." With renewed intentions to support her sister, Josie gave Penelope a hard look. "Bow out now, or I will crush you."
Penelope smirked mockingly. "Oh, honey, you crush on me. While Ariara Nata crushes on you and you won't give her the time of day. Poor princess." Josie glared at her. Penelope's expression turned from mocking to serious. "And deep down, you know I'm right. Your sister's unfit for office."
Penelope walked away, leaving Josie to contemplate their conversation.

Mikayla's Cabin
Mikayla sat down in an armchair, settling in comfortably, while keeping an eye on the Dryad, who looked bored as she stood next to a wooden chair and end table, which Mikayla left for her in the middle of the circle within the boundary. "We figured out the problem. The monsters come one at a time. I already had to kill a crazy wraith-thing, just to find one of you who could communicate about why you want this knife so bad." The Dryad just looked at her. Mikayla began to lose her patience. "So, it's time to talk."
The Dryad looked at Mikayla incredulously. "Why would I talk to evil creatures who kill?"
Before Mikayla could respond, both were distracted by the sound of the front door opening and closing. After a moment, Tory, Luke, Lyla, Kacie, Mikayla and Alaric walked in, though Alaric was distracted by the book in his hands.
"Uh, anything yet?" Alaric asked.
Mikayla looked at the Dryad warily. "Just some light judgment."
Mikayla stood.
Ariara and Lyla both embraced her. "Mikayla."
Mikayla returned the embrace. "Ariara, Lyla, what are you two doing here?"
"They wouldn't let us leave without them because they wanted to see Aunt/Mother Mikayla," Luke answered mockingly.
Mikayla smirked. "Sounds like Lyla and Ariara."
Tory looked at the Dryad, looking at her curiously. "You're a Dryad, right? Living spirit of a tree?"
The Dryad seemed surprised that they knew what she was, nodding.
Alaric looked at the open book in his hands. "Uh, it says here that, uh, Dryads were gentle creatures who lived among humans."
Lyla looked at the Dryad curiously, intrigued, walking toward her, but staying outside of the barrier. The Dryad looked at Lyla with just as much curiosity.
Lyla smiled. "Hi."
Kacie looked the Dryad in the eyes to make sure that she understood that they were telling the truth. "Well, we're not your enemy. We're just looking for answers."
Despite her curiosity, the Dryad was not convinced that she wasn't being set up. "Humans are known to lie."
Luke, losing his patience with the creature, rolled his eyes. "So are monsters."
The Dryad, offended, gave Luke a look, looking between Tory, Luke, Lyla, Ariara, Kacie and Mikayla. "And what are you?"
"More than human, like you," Tory answered. "So you know that we're not humans and we can be allies to you."
The Dryad considered this for a moment. "There is a man I cherish named Oliver. If you bring him to me, I will believe that you are trustworthy. Or what passes for it among your species, since I don't know what you are. Only then will I answer your questions."
Alaric, appalled, immediately scoffed at this demand. "Whoa. We're not negotiating, right, guys?"
"Tory, Lyla, can't you just read her mind?" Kacie asked.
Taking off her bracelet, Lyla looked at the Dryad curiously. "Her mind's fuzzy. Hard to read."
Tory was curious as well. "Lyla's right."
Luke sighed. "All right, then. What do you suggest?"
"We can find Oliver," Ariara answered. "I would like to show a little compassion for a monster... that is clearly not completely a monster, despite what she is."
The Dryad looked at Ariara gratefully in surprise.
"What?" Alaric asked.
Tory, Luke, Kacie and Mikayla nodded in agreement. "Yeah."
Alaric sighed. "Fine. Have it your way."
Mikayla looked at the Dryad. "Uh, what should we tell this Oliver?"
The Dryad's hands, which were covered in vines and twigs, reached up to yank a necklace from around her neck, holding it up to reveal that it was a simple chain with a just as simple golden ring hanging from it. "Show him this ring. It belonged to him. He will come with you." Tory took the necklace. "I will give no further answers until he does."
"What if we don't take the deal?" Alaric asked.
The Dryad dramatically sat down in the wooden chair next to her, crossing her legs. "Trees are patient. Humans are not."
"We are taking the deal, Ric," Kacie told him in annoyance.
Alaric looked away.
Luke looked between them, shrugging. "Well, let's find Oliver."
Tory held up the necklace with the ring. "Got locator spell material. Lyla, you wanna help your mom out with a locator spell?"
Lyla smiled excitedly, giving Tory a look as if her answer should have been obvious. "Duh, Mom."
"Well, Lyla's answer was obvious," Ariara told them.
Tory, Luke, Kacie and Mikayla chuckled in agreement. "Right."

Salvatore Boarding School - Gym
The Salvatore School werewolf pack was in the gym, where they were hanging out in small groups. Some were exercising, others were simply talking to each other, while others were sparring. In the center of the room was Jed, who was fighting against one of the other wolves. When the wolf swung a punch toward Jed, he easily blocked it before yanking his arm behind him and throwing him across the room, where he knocked over a nearby sawhorse.
Looking bored, Jed glanced around at his packmates. "All right, I got a medieval history paper due at two o'clock. Who's on that?"
Rafael, one of the few wolves who weren't in their gym clothes or his school uniform, leaning against the wall opposite of Jed, raising his hand to volunteer. "I'll do it." He walked toward Jed. "But I need a favor."
Jed scoffed incredulously. "You've been in the pack for five minutes and you want a favor from your alpha?"
"You're obviously gonna be elected to the honor council," Rafael told him. Jed rolled his eyes, already knowing where he was going with this. "If it comes down to it, will you do what you can to keep Owen and Landon in?"
Jed sneered at him sarcastically. "That's a great idea, foster kid. I'll bring that up at the first meeting. So I can make sure your boys get the boot."
Rafael was hurt and angry. "Why? I joined the pack. Yo, I'm following all the stupid rules that--"
Jed cut him off to make it clear that he was not going to budge on this point. "Well, consider that punishment for not respecting my authority when you got here. The rule is this. What the alpha says goes. And I say Owen and Landon go."
Jed gave Rafael a look a feigned empathy, clapping him on the arm, walking away, leaving Rafael furious in the middle of the gym.

Mikayla's Cabin
The Dryad continued to sit in the wooden chair in the middle of the magical circle while Tory brought some light into the room by opening the curtains in front of the windows. Lyla, Kacie, Mikayla and Ariara were sitting together on the couch. Luke was sitting at the table, on the computer. Alaric was gone to go get Oliver.
The Dryad looked at Luke curiously as he was on the laptop. "What magic are you employing?"
"It's a new spell called Google," Luke told her mockingly.
The Dryad frowned, offended. "You're mocking me."
Luke couldn't help but chuckle in response. "Yeah, but just a little bit."
The Dryad sighed, closing her eyes. "Will you open the window? I would like to feel the breeze."
Tory looked apprehensively toward the window. "Until we know the full extent of your power, I'd rather not."
Tory walked over to the girls to sit with them.
The Dryad gave them an offended look, making it clear that she was tiring of their suspicion. "You do not need to fear that I will deceive you. Unlike humans, Dryads do not lie. We choose not to harm."
"Well, in our world, sometimes telling the truth can do more harm than good," Tory told her.
"So, who's this Oliver that Ric went to go find after Tory and Lyla cast the locator spell?" Kacie asked.
The expression on the Dryad's face softened at the memory of her beloved. "Oliver never lied. He was not like the other men who would come into the forest to chop down trees so that their houses could be bigger than other houses. He played music. He would lean against the trees and feel happiness. We fell in love."
Mikayla, who could appreciate her pain at her loss, looked at her with concern. "You should know... he might not be around anymore. It's been a while since those days you remember."
"Oliver made a great sacrifice," the Dryad explained. "He became a vampire so we might be together forever. We decided to meet at the clearing where we fell in love so we could run away. But, circumstance got in the way."
Ariara nodded in understanding, sighing. "Hmm."
The Dryad looked up to make eye contact with them, a sympathetic expression on her face. "I feel your pain. You've all also lost a lot of love. Family, friends." She looked at Mikayla and Ariara. "You've both lost both of those as well, and great loves, beloveds."
Kacie, somewhat surprised, awkwardly made a joke. "A psychic tree? Check."
"Is your humor helpful in avoiding your pain?" the Dryad asked.
Mikayla took a deep breath, sighing. "Not really, no. That doesn't really work for any of us."
Lyla smiled. "You're psychic like me and Mom?"
The Dryad gave Lyla a small smile, before she looked between them all. "You all carry more than one loss."
Ariara swallowed, nodding in agreement. "Several."
Tory was thinking of the death of her parents, and all three of her brothers, Tyler, Ash, Michael, her cousin Vicki, her aunt Kelly. Kacie was thinking of her parents, Richard and Carol, her brothers Tyler, Ash and Michael, her friend, Cristian's cousin Anna. Luke was thinking about his and Ryan's mother Emma Thompson, who our Emma was named after, and his father Malik, and Lindsey's mother and father, Courtney and Danny Davis, who our Danny was named after. Mikayla was thinking of Eve, the Oliver from her pack, Aiden, many others from her pack that had died, Josh, Jackson. They were all thinking about Hayley and Riley, not to mention the ones that they lost to death but brought back again to life to end their misery, like Tory and Kacie themselves, Ryan, Elena, Alex, Liv, Jeremy, Stefan, Damon, Bonnie and Lindsey repeatedly, Cristian, Ryan for the longest, Alaric, so forth from Mystic Falls, and not mentioning the time that Mikayla, Kaylin, Nicola and Hayley lost the Mikaelsons for five years during which time Kassandra was hexed and out of her mind, while the others were dying before they could save them. Ariara was thinking about her entire kingdom. All their other family and friends had lost a great deal, some the same losses, and others having more losses than that as well.
Mikayla paused for a moment, voice thick with grief. "But there's happiness there, too. We can see it in our loved ones still with us, in their laughter. In the bond we share."
"We even get to see the ones we've lost again over time sometimes," Tory admitted. "Not all the time, though."
The Dryad smiled, clearly making a connection with all of them, and they all sat in silence for a moment.
Alaric returned from his errand, looking at them with a conflicted expression. "Good news, bad news. Thanks to Tory and Lyla's magic thing on the ring, the combo of summoning spell and astral projection, I was able to find Oliver."
Alaric paused awkwardly as the young looking man with blonde hair walked into the cabin, looking confused.
"Can someone please tell me what's going on here?" Oliver asked.
The Dryad, excited to be reunited with her lost love, rose to her feet to greet him. "Oliver?"
The Dryad got as close to him as the boundary would allow.
Oliver frowned in confusion. "I'm sorry, do I know you?"
Kacie, feeling pain on the Dryad's behalf, looking at Alaric sarcastically to cover up the moment of weakness they all had just had. "I'm guessing that's the bad news."
Alaric nodded awkwardly. "Yeah."
"Great," Luke told them sarcastically. "That's just great."
Ariara looked down sadly. "Yeah."

Salvatore Boarding School - Backyard
Hope, Madison, Kaylin and Nicola were testing Owen and Landon to see if they had any supernatural powers. They had a handkerchief tied to a high tree branch, watching Landon as he tried to jump up and catch it. After a half dozen tries, Landon began to grunt from exertion as he tried and failed to grab the handkerchief. Hope, Madison, Kaylin and Nicola made unimpressed looks when it became very clear that Landon had no superhuman agility to speak off.
"Owen, you're up," Kaylin told him.
Owen tried to jump up for the handkerchief, and after a couple tries, he was able to reach it, which caused Landon, Hope, Madison, Kaylin and Nicola to look at him in surprise.
Owen was in shock as well. "Whoa."
Owen laughed.
The next test involved Owen and Landon doing handstands.
Landon had a few false starts, but finally managing to stay upright, excited. "Hey, we're doing it. Now what?"
Hope, looking bored, pushed the start button on an old fashioned timer in her hand. "Hold it for ten minutes."
Hope held out the timer, though Owen and Landon's back was toward them, so they couldn't see it.
"What?" Owen asked.
Landon lost his balance, falling onto his back, failing this version of the test as well. While Owen clearly had the strength to keep himself up, he did not have the balance for it yet, struggling to stay up.
The next test to determine if Owen and Landon had superhuman strength, involved them trying to lift a huge tree trunk off the ground. Landon was able to get one end a few inches off the ground, but unable to pick up the whole thing, no matter how many positions and tactics he used to do so.
Nicola, embarrassed for him, called it. "You can stop. You failed. You have no supernatural strength. Owen, you wanna try?"
"Hell, yeah," Owen answered, walking over to the tree trunk, starting to lift the tree, and at first having difficulty, but with more focus, energy and determination he put into it, he was able to lift it up over his head, as the others watched in shock, and even much more shocked was Owen, as he let the tree fall back to the ground in front of him.
Kaylin was just stunned and exasperated. "Okay, what the hell? Why is Owen showing a lot of supernatural abilities, and Landon is showing like, zero? You know what, Nikki? Owen tossing down that tree like it was nothing reminds me of the time that you got angry and punched down a tree with one blow because you got pissed at Stefan."
Nicola chuckled. "Kaylin..."
"Owen, Landon, I thought you two were actual brothers," Madison told them in confusion.
"We are, according to the two pictures that we found of ours, our mother carrying two babies," Landon answered. "I don't know what the hell is going on, but I'm not giving up yet. What's next?"
Hope gave Landon a look. "Next? You failed the vertical climb, the long jump, and you straight up refused to swim across the lake."
Landon scoffed, offended by her tone of voice, panting for breath, clearly worn out from the tests. "Yeah, well, excuse the foster kid for never having swim lessons."
"Owen was able to do it just find," Madison told him.
"Well, clearly, I'm not like Owen, Madison, even if we are brothers," Landon replied.
"Landon..." Owen trailed off, feeling guilty because he was showing supernatural ability while his brother wasn't.
"Don't you dare apologize, since neither of us knew that you could do any of that, so you don't get to feel guilty for me not being able to do any of it," Landon told him. "Look, I might suck at--at everything apparently, while Owen gets to do great at it, but I only have to pass one test to stay, so I'm not giving up yet."
Lindsey and Ryan walked closer.
"How's it going?" Lindsey asked.
Nicola looked at the two brothers, holding up her timer. "Owen and Landon were about to run sprints to the lake and back."
Nicola started the timer, and Owen and Landon, without even questioning the orders, began to sprint toward the lake. Owen started to go supernaturally fast, while Landon was left behind running slow even for a human's pace, while Kaylin, Nicola, Madison, Hope, Lindsey and Ryan watched in shock.
"What are you testing for, exactly?" Ryan asked.
Hope smirked, satisfied. "Their ability to get away from Fells, Mikaelsons and Salvatores as quickly as possible. If they're gonna stay in this school, it's a must."
Kaylin and Madison smirked, while Nicola gave Hope a look, though it was clear she was a little amused as well.
"I ran the lineage spell for Owen and Landon," Lindsey explained.
"And it turns out that Owen and Landon are real brothers," Ryan explained. "But Owen has like two other bloodlines in his system, which is weird to say the least."
"Well, if Owen has two other lineages different than Landon's, it explains why Owen is showing supernatural abilities and why Landon isn't," Madison told them.
"In theory, yes," Lindsey agreed. "It's also weird, because Owen's blood is bursting with magic traces, but Landon has none in his system."
"And why is that weird?" Kaylin asked.
"Because, according to Lindsey, most humans have some trace of magical blood in their veins from a far flung ancestor," Ryan answered.
Hope, Madison, Kaylin and Nicola were both concerned and intrigued by this response.
"So what does that mean?" Nicola asked. "I mean, if Owen has two other lineages different than the one he shares with Landon, and Owen's blood is bursting with magical traces, but Landon has none?"
"We don't know yet," Lindsey admitted.
"Which means you need to find out more about Owen and Landon's past," Ryan told them.
Madison sighed, knowing where they were going with this. "Which means it's time to bring in Rae."
Kaylin, Nicola, Lindsey, Ryan and Hope nodded in agreement.
-
Elsewhere
Rae, Danny and Emma were walking together.
"I'm glad that you two finally got together," Emma told them teasingly.
Rae and Danny both said, "We're not together."
Emma nodded sarcastically. "Hmm."
"What 'hmm?" Danny asked.
"So you two finally kissed again, you just don't know where you stand," Emma told them. "Is that it?"
Rae blushed slightly. "Emma, how about we just talk about which one of us is going to be the 'other' on the honor council, since Hope and Madison are busy helping Mom, Aunt Nikki, Lindsey and Ryan run tests on Owen and Landon, and Ariara and Lyla left with Tory, Luke, Aunt Kacie and Ric to go meet up with Aunt Mikayla?"
Emma smirked at this. "Hmm, deflection. What a typical response from both you and Danny, Rae."
"Not like you have any room to talk, Emma," Danny replied. Emma chuckled. Danny looked at Rae. "And we're not sure about running for the spot on the council. I mean, wolves and witches are not fond of the 'impurities' that Hope, Emma and I are, Rae."
"And Ariara and Lyla both already said that they don't care about the council, and Madison's too busy helping Hope, Kaylin, Nikki, Mom and Dad with Owen and Landon," Emma added. "Since the vote only comes down to you, me, Danny, Madison, Hope, Ariara and Lyla, I'm pretty sure that we can figure this out in a flash."
Danny looked at Rae in realization. "Why don't you do it?"
Rae raised her eyebrows in surprise. "Who, me?"
"Yeah," Emma answered. "Why not? Hope and Madison are too busy with Owen and Landon, and Ariara and Lyla don't care about the role in the council. Neither do me or Danny to be honest."
"This school is literally your home place and named after you and your family since your family's been here for generations, and this 'other' spot on the honor council is for the one of a kinds like us," Danny pointed out. "Like you, me, Hope, Emma, Madison, Ariara and Lyla. Who's more one of a kind than you, Rae?"
Emma smirked. "Aw. So sweet."
Annoyed, Danny and Rae both said, "Shut up, Emma."
Emma chuckled.
Lindsey and Ryan walked closer.
Emma and Danny both greeted their parents with, "Hi, Mom, Dad."
"Hey, Emma, Danny, you're gonna have to give Rae a break for now," Lindsey told them.
Emma and Danny both frowned. "Why?"
"Because Kaylin, Nicola, Hope and Madison need Rae's mind reading skills for the lie detector test for Owen and Landon," Ryan answered. "And we need to talk to Emma and Danny anyway, Rae, so can you..."
Rae nodded, relieved to get away from Emma's teasing about her and Danny, running off to go help her family.
-
Lake
Hope, Rae, Madison, Kaylin, Nicola, Owen and Landon were sitting on the dock overlooking the lake by the school. Rae was focusing her mind reading on Owen and Landon.
"All right, so how is this gonna work?" Landon asked.
"We're gonna ask you a question, Rae is gonna read your mind and see if it's a truth or a lie," Kaylin answered. "Demonstration, names."
"Owen Church," Owen answered.
"Landon Kirby," Landon answered.
"Truth," Rae answered. "Even though you're real brothers, you were separated at birth because of the foster care system and given different names."
"See?" Nicola asked. "It's easy. Now, lie. What's your favorite food?"
Owen, remembering their time living in the woods with Rafael, chuckled. "Rabbit."
Landon groaned teasingly. "Yeah, rabbit."
Rae looked at them curiously in amusement. "You two and Rafael ate rabbits in the woods while on the run? God, you hated it."
"So, Rae, the supernatural lie detector, like Tory and Lyla," Owen told them.
Rae nodded, smirking in amusement, smugly, winking tauntingly. "Pretty much your worst nightmare."
"Bring it on, Rae," Landon told her. "Read away." He looked at the others. "Ask whatever you want to ask."
"Where were you born?" Madison asked.
Owen shook his head. "We don't know."
"Truth," Rae told them.
"Who are your parents?" Hope asked.
"Our mom's name is Seylah," Landon answered. "That's pretty much all we know. She gave us up for adoption when we were babies, and that's why we got separated and didn't realize we were real brothers until recently."
Rae nodded to let them know it was the truth again.
"And your dad?" Madison asked.
"Never met him," Owen answered.
Once again, Rae nodded.
"Why can't you two be compelled?" Kaylin asked.
"Apparently because I really am supernatural and supernaturals can't be compelled," Owen answered. "Even though I have no idea what I am."
"Okay," Nicola agreed. "That's why Owen can't be compelled, Landon. What about you?"
Landon laughed nervously. "I have no idea. A couple days ago, I didn't even know what compulsion was."
"Truth," Rae stated.
"You really know nothing about the knife or why you stole it?" Hope asked.
"No," Owen answered. "Rae's already proved that."
Madison sighed. "Right. And we believe you. We just don't know if anything like that will happen again."
Kaylin was frustrated about the lake of leads. "We need to figure out what you two are. We can't help you if we don't know what you are."
Owen and Landon looked overwhelmed but understanding, nodding in agreement.

Salvatore Boarding School - Madison/Josie/Lizzie's Dorm Room
Lizzie was standing in front of a mirror in the room, where she was practicing her acceptance speech for the honor council election, dramatically holding back her fake tears, reading her words off of a small tack of cue cards. "This is such an honor. It's so nice to know that you all love me as much as I thought you did."
Lizzie fanned herself with her cards to hold back her feigned tears.
Josie, standing behind her with a clipboard in hand, had clearly had enough with Lizzie's self-absorption today. "Hey, Lizzie? Before you go too far down the road of victory speeches..." Lizzie turned to face her. "I talked to Serena and her goth coven. She said that they would vote for you, but they just wanted to make sure that you would allow time off for pagan holidays."
Lizzie pointed at Josie in agreement, nodding, turning to sit down on the trunk at the end of her bed. "Right."
Josie, taking that as a yes, jotted down the note on her clipboard. Rafael appeared in the doorway. Both sisters smiled to see him.
"Hey, Raf," Josie told him.
Rafael smiled nervously. "Hey, Josie."
Lizzie, clearly trying to make a good impression, smiled widely, gesturing around the room. "Welcome to the winner's circle."
Josie hugged the clipboard to her chest. Rafael looked at Lizzie, who was pleased to be the object of his attention for once.
Rafael slid past Josie to talk to Lizzie, smiling awkardly. "Lizzie, hey. You got a sec?"
Lizzie, nervous, let her mouth get the best of her again. "I have a lot of secs." She froze, blushing in embarrassment when she realized tit sounded like she said 'I have a lot of sex' rather than saying that she had plenty of time to spare for him. Rafael looked down awkwardly. Lizzie tried her best to recover from the misstep. "I mean time."
Rafael took a deep breath. "The honor council might get to decide if Owen and Landon can stay. Lindsey won't say how she's gonna vote, but I talked to MG, and he's the only vampire running, and he's on board. And, because everybody knows that you're gonna get the witch vote..."
Lizzie was overwhelmed with happiness, both because Rafael was talking to her as well as the fact that he acknowledged her as the presumptive winner of the witch seat on the honor council. "Say no more. I know how much Owen and Landon mean to you, and I would be happy to help."
Rafael, expecting to have to work a lot harder to get her vote, breathed a sigh of relief. "I mean, all right. Thank you, seriously."
Rafael turned to leave.
Lizzie, realizing she had an excuse to ask for a favor in return, decided to go for it, though it was obvious by the shaky tone of voice that she was nervous to do so. "Oh, if--if you would, um..." Josie was trying her best to look as if she was not paying attention to them, crouching in front of a small bookshelf in front of their fireplace, looking out into the hallway as Emma was walking by to her dorm room, waving. Emma waved in return. "Be happy to be my date to my birthday party on Friday?"
Emma stopped in surprise, raising her eyebrows, dropping her book in the process, which caused Lizzie and Rafael to look toward the hallway in confusion, but before they could see her, Emma hid behind the wall, rolling her eyes at herself, frustrated.
Josie, remembering what Hope, Madison, Emma and herself had been talking about in 1.03 in Town Square about Emma potentially liking Rafael, covered for Emma by looking at Lizzie and Rafael. "That was me. I'm sorry." She held her clipboard up in front of her face to hide. "Just pretend I'm not here."
Josie placed her hand on the floor to siphon magic from the school, using a spell to magically slide Emma's book over to here in her hiding place behind the wall. Emma sighed, thankful for the cover up and the help, leaning down to pick up her book. Lizzie turned to look at Rafael.
Rafael was frowning, giving Lizzie a suspicious look. "Are you blackmailing me?"
Lizzie's eyes widened when she realized he thought she had ulterior motives, laughing anxiously to try to reassure him. "No, silly. I'm black tie-ing you. It's totally different."
Lizzie smiled innocently, though Rafael noticed Josie looking out into the hallway with sympathy, frowning in confusion, ultimately deciding he was willing to go to the party with Lizzie if it meant keeping Owen and Landon at school.
Rafael was still apprehensive, nodding in agreement, not wanting to let his lack of feelings for Lizzie get in the way of keeping Owen and Landon at the school, smiling fakely. "Sure. Whatever."
Rafael walked past Lizzie toward the door.
Lizzie gasped quietly in excitement as she watched Rafael walk away. Josie smiled weakly at him as he passed her to walk toward the door, still sympathetic for Emma, while also being sympathetic for Lizzie because of knowing Rafael didn't really like her, but kind of annoyed with Lizzie at the same time because she was kind of blackmailing Rafael right then. Once he was gone, Lizzie giggled happily, running over to hug Josie, too overwhelmed with her happiness that Rafael would be her date to realize what Josie was thinking.
-
Hallway
Hearing Rafael about to leave the dorm room, Emma turned to walk away.
Rafael walked out of the room, seeing Emma before she could disappear around the corner. "Hey, Emma."
Emma winced from being caught before she could get away, turning to face Rafael, pretending like she hadn't heard what just happened in the dorm room because she was still in denial about liking Rafael. "Hey, Raf. What's up?"
"Just trying to get things ready for the honor council to make sure that Owen and Landon can stay," Rafael answered.
Emma nodded, a little annoyed with what she had heard in the dorm room, turning around, walking away. "Right. How's it going with Jackass Jed? I mean, do you need any more advice on how to deal with Cro-Magnon alphas?"
Rafael jogged up to Emma to keep up with her pace. "That's actually why I wanted to talk. Jed's obviously gonna be the werewolf on the seat for the honor council because he's the alpha, and he already told me that he wanted to kick Owen and Landon out of the school. I've been talking with MG and Lizzie, since they are most likely to get voted for the vampire and the witch seats on the council, wishing they can help vote to keep them here in the school, and they both agreed. Lindsey's not revealing how she's gonna vote. And I know that the 'other' seat on the council is for one of a kinds like you, Danny, Hope, Rae, Madison, Ariara and Lyla."
Emma nodded in understanding, still a little snarky. "And you want to know which one of us is running for the 'other' seat, to see if you can ask them to vote to keep Owen and Landon here."
"Yeah," Rafael answered.
"Ariara and Lyla are gone with Aunt Tory, Uncle Luke, Aunt Mikayla and Aunt Kacie for the day, along with Ric," Emma explained. "So Ariara and Lyla definitely won't be part of the council. Danny and I don't care about the council because of the way the vamps and the witches treat us and Hope, who is busy helping Madison, Kaylin, Nikki and Rae with Owen and Landon as we speak. Danny and I were trying to talk Rae into running, but I don't know if she will. If she does, she'll be with Owen and Landon right now, and she'll be able to decide if she wants to vote them in or out."
"Got it," Rafael told her. "Do you have any idea of how to help me make sure that Jed can't vote Owen and Landon out?"
Emma, even though annoyed about what she heard, and even with her past with Landon and Owen, she still wanted to help, sighing, giving in. "Like you said, Jed would be the for sure vote for the wolves since he is the alpha." Rafael nodded in agreement. "So to make sure that he can't vote Owen and Landon out, he would have to not be alpha and voted to get on the council, right?" Rafael frowned, confused where she was going with this, nodding. Emma sighed, rolling her eyes slightly. "Wolves can challenge each other for position of alpha through a fight, and whoever wins, they get to be the alpha. And if you did that, beat Jed, and became alpha, guess who would be able to be on the council and make sure that you get to vote that Owen and Landon get to stay?"
Rafael realized where she was going with this, smiling in shock and appreciation. "Emma, you're a genius. Thank you. I'll make it up to you."
Rafael jogged off.
Emma scoffed softly. "Yeah. You're welcome, Rafael."

Cellar
MG had just vamp sped down to the cellar, where he stopped just outside of Kaleb's cell, where he was seated on the floor, leaning against the wall beside the door. He tried to play it cool as he greeted his incarcerated friend. "What up, Kaleb?"
Kaleb was not at all pleased to see him. "The hell you want, man?"
MG held out one of the school's blood bags, passing his hand through the bars of the cell door to hand it to Kaleb. "I--I copped this from the kitchen. I thought you might be hungry."
Kaleb rolled his eyes, scoffing. "Not from the people who put me here. Including the guy that ratted me out, meaning you."
MG sighed, not wanting to get into an argument with him. "It's the only blood you can get, man."
Kaleb shrugged, nonchalantly. "Then hunger strike it is, I guess."
They both remained silent for a long moment.
MG finally spoke up in an apologetic tone of voice. "I'm sorry that you're in here, but let me make it up to you. Lindsey and Ryan are starting an honor council, and if I get elected, I can change things around here, starting with getting you out of this cell."
Kaleb turned, his voice flat when he responded, indicating all was not yet forgiven between the two friends. "Mm. You'd do that for me?"
MG looked slightly offended that he would think otherwise. "Of course."
Kaleb nodded, though his voice was still flat and emotionless. "Well, all right. Send the vamps my way. I'll get them in line."
MG bounded on his heels excitedly. "Thanks, man. Hey, you won't regret this."
MG rushed back upstairs.
Kaleb smirked weakly as he watched him go, indicating he had an ulterior motive. "Okay."

Salvatore Boarding School - Gym
Rafael was walking purposefully toward where Jed and the other wolves, still in their gym clothes, were standing. They were already making plans for how they would renovate when Jed won the werewolf seat on the honor council.
Rafael confronted Jed with a steely, determined expression on his face. "We need to talk, Jed."
Jed turned to face Rafael, clear that he was already annoyed. "We already did."
"Just hear me out," Rafael told him. "I've got the vampires and the witches, I might have the 'others', but I need one more faction to make sure. It'd be nice to know I could count on my own pack."
The other werewolves smirked smugly behind Jed.
Jed once again felt it necessary to make a power play. "Yeah, see, that's the thing, Raf. They're not your pack. They're mine."
Jed turned back to the girls standing behind him, not seeing that Rafael was obviously prepared for this answer.
Rafael smirked. "Thought you might say that." He walked away to set his backpack on the floor where it would be out of their way. Once he was ready, he turned back toward Jed, intent to stand his ground for his brothers. "I've got an outside opinion."
Jed rolled his eyes, turning to face Rafael.
(Song:) Do Something - Gizzle
Rafael smirked smugly. "Who told me that an alpha has to face a challenger one on one. I didn't want to do things this way, but if what the alpha says goes..." His eyes glowed bright gold in warning. "I gotta be the alpha."
Jed's eyes glowed gold in return as he reared back and hit Rafael in the jaw with a right cross, which barely fazed Rafael. Rafael struck back with a kick to Jed's stomach and a left cross before Jed kneed Rafael hard in the gut, trying to tackle him. Rafael pushed back against Jed's body and steered them toward the back wall with a yell.

Salvatore Boarding School (Montage)
Library
MG was in the library, where he was vamp reading around so quickly that he could barely be seen, stopping only to slap pins with his face and "VOTE MG" printed on them to the shirts of all of the vampires present, and hanging up posters that read "FREE KALEB", thinking that they would get his fellow vampires to vote for him in the election. He stopped to take a breath, smiling proudly at his work.
-
Gym
Jed had just elbowed Rafael in the stomach, following it up with a right and left cross, the last one causing Rafael to spit a mouthful of blood on the floor.
-
Grand Hall
Josie was walking down the stairs when she suddenly saw two witches defacing Lizzie's posters. They had changed the slogan so that instead of "I'M WITH HER", the posters said "I'M WITH HERPES", and small pink dots had been scribbled all over Lizzie's face. Furious, Josie ran around to pull down all of the vandalized posters before her twin could see them.
-
Gym
Jed had just tackled Rafael to the floor. Rafael quickly got back onto his feet, clenching his fist tightly, indicating that he was no longer going to hold anything back in this fight.
-
Upstairs Hallway
MG continued to vamp speed around, putting up dozens more "FREE KALEB" signs ahead of the honor council election, high fiving a half dozen of his classmates as he did so.
-
First Floor
Josie was smiling as she walked down the hallway with one of her fellow witches.
"I'll vote for Lizzie, but I want to borrow that pink sweater she has," the witch told her. Josie nodded, thinking this was a reasonable request, reaching into her bag, pulling the sweater out, handing it to the witch. "Forever."
Josie held out her hand, and the two clasped hands to seal their agreement. Josie's smile fell when she saw Penelope standing near the staircase. Penelope raised her eyebrows at Josie as if to remind her of their earlier conversation.
-
Gym
The fight had turned in Rafael's favor, as he had lifted Jed off the ground and thrown him backward into the wall. Before Jed could even stand up, Rafael grabbed him by the front of the shirt, hitting him with multiple successive right crosses until Jed fell face first onto the floor, knocked unconscious, his nose bleeding onto the wood floor.
Rafael, clearly exhausted, walked through the crowd of shocked werewolves with a busted lip and cut forehead. "The polls are now open."
Rafael continued to walk away.

Grand Hall
As the older students filed into the Grand Hall, Penelope stood at the bottom of the staircase, holding a red ballot laying flat on her palm, blowing on the ballot, causing it to flutter into the air and fly into the gilded gold ballot box, smirking smugly. Josie was getting seated in the front row next to an excited Lizzie, looking worried by the sight of Penelope. Penelope took her seat a few rows behind Josie and Lizzie. The witches, wolves and vampires sat in their own teams. Emma and Danny were standing by the side of the room, watching Lindsey and Ryan at the front of the room.
"All right," Ryan told them. "Voting is now closed." Everyone broke into a round of applause. Ryan smirked. "Let's get started."
"Ryan, would you like to start us off?" Lindsey asked.
"I would love to, Lindsey," Ryan answered. Emma and Danny smirked at their parents, exchanging an amused look. Lindsey looked at the ballot box, making it magically lit up from within and vibrate for a long moment before it spit a piece of parchment into the air. Ryan caught the paper in his hand as it fluttered down, reading it aloud. "The werewolf representative will be... Rafael Waithe."
All of the werewolves stood, clapping and cheering for their new alpha. Rafael was seated in the front row of their section, smiling weakly, his face still bruised and cut from his battle with Jed earlier.
Danny looked at Emma in confusion. "So much for Rafael not wanting anything to do with the pack."
Emma rolled her eyes lightly. "It's just so he can vote for Owen and Landon to stay. Don't ask."
Lizzie, sitting with Josie, was too busy fantasizing to consider the struggle Rafael went through to lead their pack. "I've always wanted to be part of a power couple."
Lindsey called out for them to resume the ceremony. "All right, settle down." The crowd quieted down, much to Lindsey's appreciation. "Thank you. Next up..." The ballot box glowed and rattled for a second time due to Lindsey's magic, before spitting out the next representative. MG, knowing that it was the vampires's turn, bounced in his seat excitedly. "The vampire representative will be..." MG stood, buttoning his jacket, awaiting his name being called. "Kaleb."
As with the werewolves, the vampires all stood, cheering, laughing excitedly, only for MG's smiling expression to become sad and forlorn. He sat down in his seat while the vampires around him started whooing and dancing.
Ryan sighed. "All right, guys, settle down."
Once the crowd was silent again, Lindsey nodded in appreciation. "Thank you."
Ryan did a little humorous teasing. "Lindsey, since I did the werewolves because of being one, and you just did the vampires, would you like to do the witches now since you are one? We get to reveal who leads for the kids of each of our species, and two... or four more."
Lindsey smiled. "I would love to, Ryan." Emma and Danny smirked again, while there was some laughter from the rest of the students. "Next up..."
Lizzie wasted no time preening in anticipation for the announcement of the witch representative, turning to Josie excitedly. "Showtime. How do I look?"
Lindsey looked at the ballot box, magically making it glow, rattle and spit out another piece of parchment. Josie straightened Lizzie's side ponytail and tie.
Lindsey held the ballot up. "And the witch representative will be..." Josie and Lizzie smiled at each other affectionately. "Josie Saltzman."
Lizzie's smile immediately fell, turning into a look of horror and betrayal as she looked at Josie. Josie, completely shocked, looked back at Penelope. Penelope pointed at Josie with a finger-gun, winking. Josie's expression was horrified as she gaped at Lindsey and Ryan, realizing that Penelope had campaigned for Josie to beat Lizzie and not herself.
Ryan chuckled. "All right, last but not least... the representative for the 'other' seat on the council. The one representing tribrids, werewolf-witches, psychics, animal shapeshifter princess, and a Banshee alike. Lindsey, will you please?"
Lindsey looked at the ballot box, magically making it glow, rattle and spit out the final card. "That what you were looking for, Ryan?"
There was more laughter as Ryan caught the ballot as it fell back toward them. Emma and Danny watched anxiously, wondering which one would lead.
Ryan read from the ballot. "And the representative for the 'others' of our school... Rae Salvatore-Mikaelson."
Emma and Danny smiled, while there was more cheers and applause.

Mikayla's Cabin
Oliver was sitting on the chair across from the Dryad, where he was examining the twined gold ring on the chain.
The Dryad looked at her former lover as if she didn't understand what was happening. "There were so many in that grove. Do you not remember any of us?"
Oliver's expression remained blank.
Tory, feeling badly for the Dryad, tried to plead her case. "But she knew you. She knows your name, that you're a vampire."
Oliver just looked confused. "I'm not sure what's going on here, but we've never met before."
The Dryad stared at him with a heartbroken expression. Oliver stood to leave.
The Dryad stood to try to stir up any suppressed memories. "In the forest, there was a clearing next to the river. The bed would blossom with daffodils every spring."
Oliver smiled at the reminder, but not for the reason she believed. "Yeah, I walk there every day. It's where I proposed to my wife."
This news hit Tory, Kacie, Mikayla, Ariara and Lyla with a pang of sympathy for the Dryad, who looked at her sadly. Luke looked down awkwardly.
The Dryad gasped quietly. "You are married..."
Oliver, not realizing why she asked this question or why she was upset, continued to smile. "Yeah." He frowned in confusion. "Why did you ask me about the clearing?"
Luke, realizing that there was something larger at play here, sighing. "I'm sorry. We must have made a mistake. We thought you were someone else."
The girls looked at the Dryad, looking genuinely saddened by the heartbreaking scene in front of them as the Dryad let Oliver return to his life.
Kacie whispered to Mikayla. "What do you think it means?"
Mikayla shook her head, sighing. "I don't know. But I wanna find out."
Ariara nodded in agreement. "Me too."
Lyla looked up at the Dryad sadly. "I'm sorry."
The Dryad, only a little surprised by Lyla's kindness, managed a small smile with tears in her eyes.

Salvatore Boarding School - Lake
Kaylin, Nicola, Hope, Madison and Rae were standing on the dock with Owen and Landon.
"You said you would help us get answers," Landon told them.
"And we're trying," Madison told them in annoyance.
Hope looked at Landon bitterly. "I don't even want to do this. Don't blame us because you're not special like Owen."
"We apologized for lying to you," Owen told them. "We explained why I took the knife. Why are you still so mad at us?"
"We're not mad," Nicola answered. "We're just confused and trying to figure this out together."
Hope scoffed. "Well, I don't want to be part of it anymore. I couldn't care less."
Rae pointed at Hope. "Lie."
Madison tilted her head. "Seriously?"
Kaylin and Nicola chuckled. "Whoa."
"Here we go," Kaylin whispered.
"Yep," Nicola agreed.
Hope gave her stepsister a look for saying that in front of Owen and Landon. "Rae." Landon pointed at Rae, giving Hope a look. "Fine. It's easier to be mad."
"Why?" Landon asked.
"Because it is," Hope told them.
"Because she's projecting what happened with her last boyfriend onto this current situation," Rae answered. "Now, if we're done here, I'd rather go somewhere else than to be here and watch Madison and Hope deny their feelings for Owen and Landon, so Mom, Aunt Nikki, can I please go?"
Madison and Hope both gaped at Rae in shock for the way she said that in front of Owen and Landon, who both raised their eyebrows in surprise. Kaylin and Nicola looked down, hiding smirks.
"Rae!" Madison complained.
"Yeah," Kaylin answered. "Yeah, we can go now."
"Yep," Nicola agreed.
Kaylin, Nicola and Rae started to walk away. Owen and Madison exchanged an awkward look with each other, and with Hope and Landon, before they walked away as well, leaving Hope and Landon alone.
Landon sighed. "So, Rae..." Hope gave him a look that communicated that she didn't want to talk about it. "I know she's right because she's a mind reader. So maybe you feel like if you stop being mad, you're letting your guard down, and the legendary Hope Mikaelson couldn't possibly do that."
Hope gave him a look. "When I let my guard down, people disappoint me."
Wanting to end this conflict once and for all, Landon took a moment to contemplate their situation before opening up to her. "Growing up in the foster care system, before meeting Owen and Rafael and before knowing that Owen's my real brother... every time I got sent someplace new, I'd hope that this would be the right place. You know, like, uh, 'click your heels three times', 'no place like home' kind of stuff. Just somewhere I actually belonged. But it never was, you know? And you can only hold out hope for so long and--and be hurt by so many people before it starts to seem impossible to trust someone new. Especially when they lie to you." He took a deep breath, looking Hope in the eyes. "So, for the last time, I'm sorry. I broke your trust. I don't want to do it again."
Hope was genuinely touched by the words, looking like she was starting to forgive him. "Thank you."
Landon started to put on his jacket. "But, if this goes the wrong way, can you just.. make sure that Raf and Owen don't, um, follow me this time? As much as I want to stay here... they need to." Hope looked both surprised and impressed by how mature he was being about losing his foster brother and his real brother. "They finally found a place where they belong. A home that they deserve. I'm not gonna take that away from them."
Hope watched sadly as Landon turned around and walked away.

Garden
(Song:) Collide - Rachael Platten
Owen and Madison were walking through the path together.
"So, um, about what Rae said..." Owen trailed off. "About you and Hope, me and Landon... Before Rae, Kaylin and Nicola took off..."
Madison blushed slightly, hiding a smile. "Can we not talk about it?"
"Well, last night, we both already admitted that we still like each other, even though you have to learn how to trust me again and learn how to trust yourself with me," Owen pointed out. "And said a definite maybe to us as a thing. So why not?"
"Because I'm tired of one of my adoptive step cousins, the one with the psychic abilities, always calling us out like that and embarrassing us," Madison answered.
Owen chuckled. "Right." He stopped walking, turning to face her "Madison, I still like you. A lot. And I'm sorry for what I did. I know I've already said that before, but I don't know how else to say it louder. I'm sorry for hurting you, that Landon hurt Hope, that I hurt Nicola and kinda betrayed even her, Kaylin and Rae, since you guys trusted me after I talked to Nicola, Kaylin, Elijah and Kassandra before, the day I met them, Mikayla and Kacie."
Madison nodded, sighing. "Yeah. Well, it's clear that you're supernatural now, Owen. So I can't exactly always avoid you when you will be coming to school here. And I know you didn't mean to betray me, Rae, Nikki, Kaylin and Kassandra, or Elijah, and that Landon didn't want to betray Hope. It's just all gonna take a lot of time for all of us to get used to this. Even you."
"Yeah," Owen agreed. "I just don't wanna lose whatever we had between us. I didn't wanna lose you, Madison."
Madison considered her response for a moment, shaking her head. "You didn't lose it, Owen. Or me." Owen smiled in relief to hear this. Madison shook her head. "And I don't know about you or anyone else, but I don't want to let fear of trusting someone, or anger or the desire to alienate the entire world ruin my life."
Owen was impressed by that. "Wow."
Madison and Owen spent a moment facing each other, looking at each other for only a few seconds even though it felt much longer. Not wanting to keep pushing him and happiness away, Madison shook her head, not wanting to fight it anymore, leaning closer to kiss Owen passionately, shocking him, though Owen happily returned the kiss. They continued to kiss passionately for a few moments, pulling away, looking at each other, both stunned and breathless.
Madison smiled. "Yeah, wow."
They both laughed lightly.

Front Yard
Rae was walking toward the house.
Danny walked toward her. "Hey, Rae. Guess who got the seat for the 'others' on the council. I'll give you a hint, it's not me, Emma, Hope, Madison, Ariara or Lyla."
Rae gave him an amused look. "You didn't. You, Emma, Hope and Madison did not vote for me, Danny. I know that Ariara and Lyla didn't since they left"
Danny smirked. "We totally did."
Rae smirked sarcastically, nodding a little mockingly. "Great. That's just great." They both laughed, walking down the way together. Rae returned serious. "I'm sorry for pushing you away. But you knew that I was always gonna stay even though I wanted to protect you. And I never wanted to play games, because love is not a competition. No one was with it when I was pushing you or everyone else away. Darkness is a prison."
"Yeah," Danny agreed sadly. "I know the feeling. But I don't wanna hide anymore, Rae."
"I don't either," Rae agreed. "Even though I'm not perfect, you treat me like I am, so... thank you, Danny. But now I'm more reassured that things are going to be okay, that things can get better. We're both like stormy oceans, huh? We both blossom in the dark."
"Yeah," Danny answered. "Right now we are. But I think that we can help steady each other. We don't have to get through it alone."
Rae looked at Danny in relief for a moment, though she was still terrified of hurting him. They both shared a passionate kiss, embracing each other close

Backyard
Landon walked toward the school, anxiously buttoning the cuffs of his jacket. Jed suddenly appeared, looking furious, having the hood of his jacket to cover up the scrape on his cheek from his fight with Rafael.
Landon, knowing this conversation would mean nothing good, grimaced in anticipation. "Oh, hey, Jed."
Jed, still embarrassed from having the pack leadership taken from him by Rafael, scowled at Landon angrily. "You and Owen don't belong here."
Landon, overwhelmed and exhausted, couldn't help but chuckle nervously. "Yeah, everyone keeps saying that."
"Everything was fine before you two and Rafael showed up," Jed told him, taking a step toward Landon.
Landon realized they were about to fight. "Wait, wait!"
When Jed swung at Landon, Landon managed to grab Jed by the forearm and flip him onto his back, demonstrating an intuitive fighting skill that surprised both himself and Jed. Jed, now flat on his back in the grass, mustered up the strength to kick Landon so hard in the stomach that he flew backward and tumbled down the nearby hill. Landon rolled all the way to the bottom of the hill, landing on his back. Jed lept the same distance with his werewolf agility, stalking toward Landon, grabbing him by the front of the shirt, punching him with such force that his nose and mouth instantly became bloodied, ending the beat down with one last kick to the stomach, causing Landon to spit a mouthful of blood onto the grass.
Having been looking for his brother at the top of the hill, Owen was looking around, calling out for him. "Landon?"
Landon called up to him weakly. "Owen!"
Owen looked down the hill, seeing what just happened, looking furious and protective, running down the hill. Jed tried to punch Owen in the face. Owen ducked, punching Jed hard in the face, making him spit up blood. Jed glared at Owen angrily. Owen took on a fighting stance, breathing heavily, bracing himself. Jed tried to punch him. Owen ducked, doing a little clumsy spin around him, turning to face him. Jed turned to face him. Owen tried to punch Jed Jed caught his wrist, flipping Owen through the air to the floor, twisting his arm hard, punching him in the face Owen broke free, turning to face him. Jed stalked closer, trying to punch him Owen caught his arm, punching him in the face, then the gut, making him fall. Jed grabbed his arm, standing, twisting Owen's arm behind his back, nearly breaking it, hitting him over the head from behind, making him fall to the ground, kicking him repeatedly, until he was not going to get back up. Owen laid on the ground, bleeding and beaten, coughing up blood. Jed, satisfied, walked away, leaving Owen and Landon on the ground recovering from the fight.

Salvatore Boarding School - Nurse's Office
Hope and Kaylin had brought Landon to the nurse's office for him to get bandaged up. Hope tucked him into bed.
Emma and Rafael were nearby.
Rafael was furious about what Jed did to his foster brothers. "I'm gonna tear Jed apart."
"No, you're really not," Emma told him.
"He's gonna pay for what he did," Rafael told her. "He could've killed them."
Emma, over the macho-man act, sighed "You wanna do something to help them? Let's take a walk to the herb garden and get some hazelwood root."
Still furious, Rafael turned to leave without another word.
Landon, who was so exhausted he was acting almost dopey, looking at Emma curiously "What does hazelwood root do?"
Emma shrugged nonchalantly. "Make him cool off before he realizes that I made it up. See ya."
Emma left the room.
Kaylin chuckled.
"Raf's had a rough couple of weeks," Landon told them
Kaylin gave Landon a look, somewhat amused. "Look who's talking. Guess we can cross 'supernatural healing' off the list, for you, anyway. Owen's already healing up in your guys's dorm room."
Hope brushed a lock of hair out of Landon's eyes, taking note of the bandage on the laceration on his forehead. "I'm sorry this happened to you."
"Jed's one of those rare cases where his bite is actually worse than his bark," Kaylin explained.
"I've dealt with bullies before," Landon told them.
Kaylin shook her head. "Not like this. I know how badly you want to stay here, Landon. With Owen and Rafael. But this school is full of people like Jed. Some of us are nicer, some of us have more control. But all of us are capable of doing what he did. Do you honestly think that you're safe here?"
Landon stood his ground with regards to this argument. "Yes, I do."
Kaylin narrowed her eyes slightly, not buying that. "Uh-huh."
Hope smiled weakly at Landon. "You should rest."

Owen/Landon's Dorm Room
(Song:) Better Place - Rachel Platten
Owen was laying in bed, recovering. Nicola walked in with a milkshake.
"Hey," Owen told her tiredly.
"I brought you a chocolate cherry milkshake to make you feel better," Nicola explained, putting the drink on the table, sitting on the bed. "That's the one that you got for Madison the day you met me, Elijah, Kassandra, Mikayla, Kacie and Kaylin, right?"
Owen smiled at the memory. "Yeah, we both love that shake."
"Really?" Nicola asked teasingly, sarcastically. "Me too."
"Really?" Owen asked.
"Yeah," Nicola answered. "They're my favorite drink next to alcohol. Any kind, mostly bourbon though." Nicola's humor to try and lighten the mood got Owen to laugh, but he stopped because of the pain. Nicola looked at him in sympathy. "How you feeling?"
"Like I got beat down by a werewolf but healing 'cause I'm a supernatural being with healing powers," Owen answered
"Should I find a card for that?" Nicola asked. "I'm sure there are 'get well soon' cards for that."
Owen smirked. "I think they're in the rack next to the 'thank you for being the best nurse vampire vampire Huntress ever."
Nicola smiled. "Okay, what store are those in? I need like so many."
They both laughed lightly.
"Can I tell you something weird?" Owen asked.
"Won't surprise me," Nicola told him. "I mean, weird is a default for my life and the ones that I love, so go ahead."
Owen sat up. "I was waiting for you."
"For me?" Nicola asked. "Why?"
"While it was happening, I just imagined you coming to save me," Owen admitted. "Like you did when I was a kid. But not just from Jed, I mean from life, from when I was a kid."
Nicola felt guilty, looking down in regret. "Owen, I..."
"Wait, I have to say this," Owen told her. Nicola looked at him curiously. "I don't know, I mean, like all my life, every time that something bad happened, I just imagined you sweeping in and saving me and taking me away and we would be happy. I know it's stupid and all of that."
"You seriously thought that?" Nicola asked in surprise.
Owen looked down, embarrassed. "I waited for you, some part of me thought you were gonna come back, but you didn't, but that's fine. I mean, you didn't know me, Nicola. I was just some kid that you saved. I don't know why I thought you would come back. I'm sure you just forgot about me, but..."
Nicola reached out to take Owen by the hand. "Owen. I thought about the kid that I saved for so long after I saved you. Part of me wanted to know you were okay, but I wasn't in a good place, and when I was, I thought that this innocent little kid was better off without me, the dark Huntress that had hurt so many people she cared about, and even more of the people that she didn't. But I never forgot about you."
"Never?" Owen asked.
"Never," Nicola answered. "I'm sorry I wasn't there before, but I'm here now, for the good and the bag. If you want me to."
Owen nodded, both emotional. "I want you to."
Nicola's eyes looked glassy with good tears. "Then I guess it sucks for you, 'cause you're stuck with the crazy vampire vampire Huntress."
Owen smiled. "Guess I'm the luckiest stuck person in the whole wide world, then."
Nicola smiled. Owen brought her in for a hug, embracing her tightly, surprising her, but she returned the embrace.
Nicola sighed. "It's okay if you don't think this place is safe for you or for Landon after what happened. I wouldn't blame you if either of you left after this. But whatever happens, if you find your way back, which I hope that you do... we'll be waiting for you."
Owen and Nicola both smiled.

Madison/Lizzie/Josie's Dorm Room
Lizzie was dressed all in black as if she was in mourning, sitting cross legged on the floor, clutching a singing bowl and a striker in her hands as she used all of her energy to keep herself from breaking down into tears.
Josie, feeling horrible for her twin, sat on her bed, looking at her with concern "Can I--"
Lizzie squeezed her eyes shut. "Shh."
"Get you anything?" Josie finished.
"I said 'shh'," Lizzie told her. She took a deep breath, releasing it slowly. "I'm trying to rise above it. So let me freaking rise."
Josie, still wanting to help, gingerly stood up, moving so that she was kneeling in front of Lizzie, who was still trying to control her breathing. "Okay, I don't know why Penelope had them vote for me. It doesn't make any sense."
Lizzie closed her eyes, setting the singing bowl on the floor in front of her. "What's done is done, Jo."
Josie thought about it for a moment. "Well, I can step down, and then they'd have to go with the runner up."
"Great minds think alike," Lizzie told her. "I already asked Lindsey and Ryan if we could do that."
Josie frowned. "And Lindsey and Ryan said no?"
Lizzie swallowed thickly. "They said yes. Except it turned out I wasn't the runner up, either."

Cellar
Kaleb was in his cell, sitting on the floor, smirking smugly when MG approached his cell. "Let me guess. There's been a mistake. I won the popular vote, but not the electoral college."
MG was still glum from losing his council seat to him, shaking his head. "No. You won fair and square... besides the part where you stabbed me in the back."
Kaleb stood, making a mocking face. "Ooh, doesn't feel too good, does it?"
"Lindsey and Ryan sent me to come and get you," MG explained.
Kaleb nodded. "Okay."
MG opened the cell door, looking apologetic despite all that had happened between them. "I only wanted to be elected so I could fix things between us."
Kaleb smiled cheerfully. "You did. We're even now."

Mikayla's Cabin - Outside
Tory, Luke, Kacie, Mikayla, Ariara, Lyla and Alaric were talking outside.
"How's the interrogation going?" Alaric asked.
Tory sighed. "She's not talking."
"But I think I figured out why no one remembers dragons, gargoyles or Dryads existing," Mikayla told them. "I mean, whatever happened to these creatures, it erased all memory of them."
Kacie nodded in agreement. "It's like they never existed in the first place."
Ariara processed this, nodding. "I guess that explains a lot."
"Yeah," Lyla agreed sadly.
Luke couldn't help but chuckle at Ariara and Lyla's glum tones of voice. "Well, don't sound so excited. It's only a massive piece of the puzzle that explains why these creatures only exist in legends and myths."
Ariara sighed. "Sorry. I'm just having a day."
"Me too," Lyla agreed.
"And I'm starting to sound like a nerd, like Lindsey, Ryan and Ric, so I better stop while I'm ahead," Luke told them.
Alaric smirked sarcastically. "Hilarious, Luke."
The others chuckled. Luke smirked.
"Kaylin and Nicola called," Tory explained. "They said that Jed got angry that Rafael won in a match against him that makes Rafael the alpha of the school pack now, so he attacked Owen and Landon in retaliation."
Kacie frowned. "Are they okay?"
"Owen's supernatural, right?" Mikayla asked. "He's healing?"
"Yeah, but Landon's not showing signs of being supernatural, even though he and Owen are actual brothers and meaning he should be, too," Tory answered.
"And Lindsey and Ryan called me, too," Luke explained. "They explained each faction leader that got voted. Josie for the witches, Rafael for the wolves, Kaleb for the vamps, and Rae for the 'others', while Lindsey has the say for the younger class."
"Well, I hope that they don't let things get personal in their choices," Mikayla told them.
"The political is personal," Ariara told them.
"Did you learn that in Kiesha'ra?" Lyla asked
"And here, in Advanced Civics," Ariara answered, looking at Alaric. "Taught by you."
Kacie laughed. "That's cheating."
"Well, I trust that they will make the right call," Alaric told them.
They all nodded.
-
Inside
They walked inside to join the Dryad, who was still trapped.
Luke looked at the despondent Dryad, looking both bored and impatient. "It's been hours. She's not gonna tell us anything."
Ariara walked over to the window to open it, letting in the breeze that the Dryad had requested earlier in the day. "Maybe she will now."
When the Dryad felt the wind, she sighed deeply, comforted by the nature around them. "Oh, that feels nice. Thank you, Ariara."
Mikayla sat down in a chair opposite of the Dryad, looking at her sympathetically. "From somebody who has lost exactly what you lost today... I'm sorry."
The Dryad, overwhelmed with emotion at how sincere they were about her pain, looked each of them in the eyes. "I will honor our deal. What do you wish to know?"
The group exchanged a look of surprise.
Tory chuckled. "Well, not the reaction we were expecting."
"We want to know everything," Kacie answered.
Lyla nodded in agreement, sad for the Dryad. "Yeah. Everything. Then maybe we can help you."
-
Salvatore Boarding School - Ballroom
Rae opened the double doors to the ball room, walking in, looking at Lindsey, Josie, Kaleb and Rafael. "Sorry I'm late."
Rae took a seat at the head of the table.
Lindsey smiled a small smile at each of them. After a moment, she magically raised an old fashioned golden scale into the air. "Cassitore." The scale balanced itself in the air above the table as the five deliberated on the night's decision. "We're here to discuss if Landon should be allowed to stay at the school, since he's shown no supernatural ability, unlike Owen." She picked up a small stone with the Salvatore School "S" printed on it. "My vote, on behalf of the lower school, is to err on the side of inclusion. We exist to help kids like him." She gently set the weight down on one side of the balance to represent her vote, giving a knowing look to Rafael. "Which is what I'm going to go do now. Ryan and I have a search party looking for Jed. As you've all seen, violence leads to more violence. If you'll excuse me..."
Lindsey, frowning in concern, turned to walk out of room.
Kaleb spoke up. "All right, who wants to start?"
Rae, Josie, Rafael and Kaleb all exchanged a look.
Rae sighed. "Landon has to go."
Josie and Kaleb were pleasantly surprised by this decision, but it was obvious by the scowl on Rafael's face that he was feeling betrayed by one of the people he had called friends.
-~-
Kaleb was the first to speak up after. "Never thought I'd be saying this, but... Rae's right. Humans refuse to make a place for us in their world. We start letting them in? It's only a matter of time before they take this place from us, too." He picked up one of the S stones, placing it on the opposite side of the scaled, still floating above the table, causing the two dishes to balance out due to each side getting a vote. "Landon goes. Even if Owen stays."
"Owen and Landon are blood brothers, and if Owen has supernatural abilities, then Landon has to have some, hidden deep inside," Rafael pointed out. "Both of them are my brothers. They're the only reason I'm alive. Landon can't go back to a human life knowing that magic and dragons exist. We took his whole crappy life from him. It'd be awfully selfish of us to not give him one to replace it, like we're doing with Owen." He picked up one of the stones, placing it in the dish alongside Lindsey's, once again weighing the "Landon stays" side lower than the "Landon goes" side. "That's two-one."
Rae looked at Rafael with a sympathetic but stern expression in hopes of getting through to him. "It doesn't matter how much we want him to stay. Look at what one mad wolf did to both Owen and Landon." She took a deep breath. "Earlier, my mom and Hope asked Landon if he felt safe here, while I was listening out in the hallway. He said yes. I could read his mind and tell that he was lying. This place is dangerous for him, and even he knows it."
Rafael gave her a defensive look. "I will protect both Landon and Owen."
"And where were you an hour ago?" Rae asked. Rafael, knowing he had no response, remained silent, lending support to Rae's argument. "That's the point. If Landon stays, it's on all of us. It is all of our responsibility to protect him, like we're trying to train Owen even though we have no idea what he is, and even he was asking Aunt Nikki if he belonged here if we couldn't figure out what he was. Can we honestly say we believe every one of us can handle that kind of responsibility?"
Kaleb, Josie and Rae all looked grim, and even Rafael shook his head weakly. Rae picked up her stone, setting it on the other side, balancing the scales once again. Kaleb, Rae and Rafael turned to Josie for the final tie-breaking vote.
Kaleb shrugged. "Looks like it's on you, Josie."

Mikayla's Cabin
Tory had a notebook and a pen, scribbling down notes as the Dryad told the story of how she died and returned to the world while she, Luke, Kacie, Mikayla, Ariara, Lyla and Alaric listened, with Mikayla holding the knife.
"The night I was to leave with Oliver, something attacked me, and I woke up in an endless darkness," Dryad explained. "I could feel the presence of others, but not see or hear them. I was there for so long, and then, just as suddenly, I found myself not far from here, with an urge to possess that knife."
Mikayla frowned in concern, holding up the knife. "Why? What is this?"
The Dryad spoke with a tone of urgency as if she was running out of time. "I do not know, only that I must have it." She walked away from them as if she was holding herself back. "It's like something... something pressing inside me, telling me to take it."
"Take it where?" Luke asked, impatient.
The Dryad whispered hauntingly. "There is a dark pit beneath the earth, locked away..." Her vision seemed to go unfocused, and the way she was speaking seemed to suggest that she was acting simply on instinct and that her control over her thoughts and actions were waning quickly. While she talked, she was unconsciously using her right index fingernail to carve a symbol into a puddle of wax that melted on the top of the end table next to her. The symbol resembled a seven pointed Aquarian star, only with two rectangular ends. "I can see it. I can feel it. I am meant to take the knife there. If I do, I will find peace and finally be free."
"And who told you to do this?" Tory asked.
"A voice in my mind," the Dryad answered. "It is still there. I tried to fight it, but I am not strong enough." She used her powers of nature manipulation to cause a gust of wind to blow through the window, knocking over the dark object Mikayla used to trap her. Her eyes were wild and wide as she looked at the group, looking genuinely remorseful for what she was about to do, implying that she had lost control over her actions. "I'm sorry. I have no choice"
Lyla sensed the attack coming. "Watch out!"
The Dryad extended a vine from her hand that wrapped itself around Alaric's right ankle, beginning to pull him toward her, and reached out with other vines to grab the wrists of the others to try and stop them from fighting back.
"Mikayla, the knife!" Kacie told her.
The Dryad extended another vine from her abdomen that reached across the room and grabbed the knife from the table where Mikayla left it.
Luke was able to break free from the vines, punching a hole into the Dryad's chest without ripping out her heart, but leaving her dying all the same.
The Dryad fell to her knees, gasping. The wound seemed to have snapped her out of whatever supernatural urge was forcing her to steal the knife, because she seemed almost at peace with her fate as she looked up at them. "Take me to the daffodils." A tear fell down her cheek as they knelt to look her in the eyes, looking at them pleadingly in turn. "Take me home. Take me, please."
They all looked overwhelmed by what was happening.

Salvatore Boarding School - Ballroom
The set of scales were still floating magically in the air as Rae, Rafael and Kaleb looked at Josie, who looked apprehensive and overwhelmed by all of the attention. She reached out to take her stone.
Rafael tried to appeal to her as a friend. "Josie, please."
Josie paused for a moment, finally speaking up, clear that she was conflicted about her decision. "Since Owen and Landon walked through those doors, my sister, my father and I have almost died. Our friends have almost died. We don't really know what Owen is, or if Landon is anything at all, so we can't really say if we know if they're dangerous or not." Rae and Kaleb seemed to know where her argument was going. Rafael opened his mouth to interject. Josie spoke over him. "Raf, this isn't about who is friends with who or who you like. This school is family, and I'm not putting my family in danger again."
Josie swallowed anxiously, putting her stone into the "Landon goes" dish. Rafael, furious, standing to his feet, violently throwing his chair behind him. Kaleb vamp sped up to his feet.
Rae stood to try and talk him down. "Raf!"
Kaleb moved so his face was only inches away from Rafael's, and for a moment, it looked as if they were about to fight.
"Raf, stop," Josie told him.
Rafael's eyes blazed with rage as he looked back and forth between Rae and Josie, making it clear that he felt betrayed by them, laughing darkly, backing toward the doors. "You know what? I'm done with both y'all."
Rafael walked through the double doors, leaving a guilty looking Rae and Josie with Kaleb, who seemed satisfied that the vote went his way.

Woods
(Song:) Corners of the Earth (feat. RY X) - Odesza
Tory, Luke, Kacie, Mikayla, Ariara and Lyla had brought the Dryad to the daffodil field in the woods as she requested, gently laying her down in the grass among the flowers.
"Watch your head," Ariara told her, looking at the Dryad sadly, squeezing her hand to comfort her for a moment, which seemed to genuinely touch her.
The Dryad managed a small smile. "I was wrong about you, Ariara. And Tory, Luke, Kacie, Mikayla and Lyla. You kept your word. You're not the monsters that you think you are."
They all smiled sadly
"It's okay," Tory told her. "I wish more monsters were like us, and you."
"I remembered something else," the Dryad admitted "That black pit, that awful place? It is called Malivore."
They were surprised and grateful for the information, nodding at her.
"Malivore," Kacie repeated. "Thank you."
The Dryad smiled back.
Mikayla looked at her sadly. "I--I'm sorry this happened."
They watched as the Dryad silently went still, dying. Lyla blinked back tears, walking away.
Luke walked toward her. "I'm sorry, Lyla. I know you liked her."
Lyla looked at her father sadly but reassuringly. "It's okay, Dad. You did had you had to do."
Tory gently covered the Dryad's body with her silky green cloak, as she, Ariara, Mikayla and Kacie stood, backing away toward Luke and Lyla. They were about to bury her when they heard a rustling noise in the grass. When they turned to look at the Dryad, they stared in awe to find that her body was being incorporated into the field. Her spirit turned her body to a tree trunk while her vines extended from her body and pushed themselves into the earth as roots. They remained awestruck at the beautiful metamorphosis into her final form, a willow tree that appeared to be centuries old.

Salvatore Boarding School - Owen/Landon's Dorm Room
Owen was standing in front of a full length mirror, lifting up his shirt to reveal his abs, and the fact that he was healing much butter.
Landon was able to come back even though he still felt weakened
Owen walked toward him. "What the hell are you doing in here? You're supposed to be in the nurse's office."
"Hello to you, too, Owen," Landon told him sarcastically. "Damn it. You weren't supposed to be here."
"Thinking about taking off on your own again?" Owen asked. "Not gonna happen."
"The council voted against letting me stay, okay?" Landon asked. "And most of the school still thinks of you as a threat because of the fact that they don't know what you are."
"Exactly," Owen agreed. "So to find out what I am, and if you are anything at all, and to make sure that everybody can trust us eventually, we're gonna have to go looking for answers, aren't we?"
"We?" Landon repeated.
"I'm not going to stay in a place where no one trusts me because they don't know what I am," Owen told him. "And I get it, Landon. I mean, I don't know if I trust myself until I find out what I am. So let's do it. Let's go find answers together." He went over to pick up the two pictures that they had of their mother holding both of them, holding the pictures up. "And I'm betting that she has some answers."
Landon managed a small smile. "You want to go looking for our mom together?"
"Yeah, I do," Owen answered. "So let's do it."
They both smiled.

Gym
Lizzie, still clearly torn up about the fact that she lost the election, was in the gym, where she was taking out her frustrations by hitting and kicking a large punching bag.
Penelope walked out of the shadows. "It's sweet of you not to want to hurt the punching bag"
Lizzie jumped, startled to hear her voice, realizing that it was Penelope trying to rub it in that she beat her, not even looking up from what she was doing. "You want to take its place?"
Penelope held up her hands in a mocking non-threatening gesture, walking toward Lizzie. "Don't blame me. It's the rest of the witches who knew how bad you'd be at that job."
Lizzie was unable to ignore Penelope any more, stopping her workout so she could stand and look her in the eye. "What did I ever do to make you hate me so much?"
Penelope scoffed as if she thought this response proved her point. "It's not about you." Lizzie frowned in confusion. "Shocking, I know." Penelope stared at Lizzie as she continued to walk toward her until they were within arms reach of each other to make sure Lizzie understood what she was trying to say. "It's about how you treat Josie."
Lizzie scoffed as if Penelope was being ridiculous, enunciating every word of her response to make certain her meaning was clear "I love Josie."
Penelope looked at her skeptically. "Did you think to ask her if she wanted to run for the council before you assumed you'd win?" Lizzie stopped in her tracks, opening her mouth to speak, but there was nothing she could say as a rebuttal. "You've left her with no room for herself. She spends all of her energy taking care of you." The more Penelope talked, the more emotional and angry she sounded. "She doesn't have time for a relationship because you are a black hole of time, and energy, and love... just sucking it all up, not giving any of it back." Lizzie was so effected by her rant that she began hyperventilating as her mind ran wild with this information. "Oh, she won't ever burn your world down. So I will do it for her."
Penelope chuckled darkly under her breath, smirking, walking out of the gym.
Lizzie became so overwhelmed that she burst into tears. Her emotions quickly became too much for her to handle, as she gasped, turning on her heel toward the punching bag. The soles of her sneakers started to glow as she siphoned magic from the school through the floor, thrusting her arm toward the punching bag with a cry. "Dissulta!"
The punching bag was sliced in half, causing pounds of sand to fall onto the mat below it and making a huge mess. Exhausted and emotionally numb, Lizzie pinched the bridge of her nose as she tried to regain control over herself.

Bus Stop
Hope and Madison were walking Owen and Landon to the bus stop, crossing the street toward the bench.
"Thanks for walking us," Owen told them.
Madison nodded. "Yeah."
"We had to go before Rafael tried to follow us again," Landon admitted.
Hope and Madison exchanged a look, clearly feeling bad about how this happened.
"Rae, Rafael, Josie, Kaleb and Lindsey didn't take the vote lightly," Hope admitted. "It was close."
Landon took on a joking tone of voice, though it was clear that he was very serious about what he was saying. "Yeah, I don't really need to hear about that. I'm in enough pain as it is."
"Rae voted no," Madison explained.
"Yeah, didn't need to know that," Owen told them. "Why, exactly?"
Hope sat on the bench at the bus stop. "Remember when Kaylin and I asked you if you felt safe at the school, and you said yes? Rae was in the hallway, listening."
Landon sighed, nodding. "And the mind reader realized that I was lying. Great. Thanks, Rae."
"And you two just asked us again to make sure that Raf didn't follow you," Madison told them "You did it 'cause you care about him. Because you wanted to do what was right for him, even though it was hard."
Owen smiled. "Is that a way of admitting you care about us?"
Madison smiled sweetly, shrugging. "Maybe we're a little biased."
Hope smiled, handing Landon and Owen their bus tickets in an envelope, and when they opened it, they were shocked to see their destination.
"New Orleans?" Landon asked.
"We have family friends there that are expecting you," Hope explained.
"Yeah, Marcel Gerard, Auria Rayvnne, and Noah and Caitlin Dumaine," Madison agreed. "We asked them to help you find your birth mom."
Landon and Owen were genuinely shocked by this news, smiling. "What?"
"We couldn't get you the answers that you wanted, but Marcel, Noah, Caitlin and Auria can, with this," Hope told them, holding out a bag with their folders with their names on them. "We put the results of your lineage spell in there."
Madison nodded in agreement, nervous to say goodbye. "And, um, some money, and sandwiches. I hope you like ham."
Landon and Owen smiled.
"Thank you," Landon told them.
"Yeah," Madison agreed.
Hope remembered her last surprise. "Oh, and, um, and these."
Hope pulled out leather wrist cuffs with glowing blue stones, as Hope and Madison fastened them around Landon and Owen's wrists, much to their confusion.
"What is this?" Owen asked
"Think of it like a 'click your heels together three times' kind of thing," Hope told them. "If you ever need us, just pressed those buttons, and our bracelets will lead us to you."
Hope pointed at the bracelets that she and Madison were wearing, similar leather cuffs.
Madison took a deep breath. "Owen, can we talk? Alone before you go?"
Owen smiled. "Definitely." Madison and Owen walked away. "I'm not really sure how to say goodbye to you, Madison."
"Then don't say goodbye," Madison told him. "I'm pretty sure that we're both gonna see each other again anyway. Just think of it as... 'see you later'."
Owen smiled, nodding. "Yeah. Okay. See you later."
(Song:) Someone to You - Banners
Owen and Madison looked at each other happily for a moment, before they started to kiss passionately for the goodbye.
Hope and Landon saw Owen and Madison kissing goodbye, happy for them but awkward at the same time, looking at each other as they shared a longing look.
Hope looked away awkwardly. "I should go."
Landon, happy to end things on good terms, tried to play it cool. "Okay."
Hope, not sure how to best say goodbye, smiled awkwardly. "Bye. Bye, Landon."
Hope started to walk across the street, but before she could, her bracelet lit up and the compass aspect spun until the pointer was aimed back at Landon. Hope turned to give Landon a look.
Landon shrugged sheepishly. "I wanted to see if it worked." Hope smiled a wide, genuine smile, running back toward Landon just as the bus began to pull up, cupping his face with her hands as the two began to passionately make out in front of the bus. Hope moved her hands down to around his ribs, squeezing his bruised rib a little too hard, causing him to groan in pain. "Ow!"
Hope immediately let go, making an apologetic sound. "Ooh."
Landon, not wanting her to stop kissing him, tried to fight through the pain for a little more romance. "It's good, it's okay."
The two continued to kiss.
Hope took a brief break to apologize. "Sorry, sorry!"
"It's worth it, it's worth it," Landon assured.
Hope chuckled. "Oh, I'm sorry. I'm sorry. Okay."
Owen and Madison watched them, smiling in amusement, laughing quietly, as they looked at each other and smiled, sharing a couple more kisses for goodbye as well.
The camera zoomed out so that all that could be seen was the silhouettes of Hope/Landon and Owen/Madison as they kissed in the street by the bus, in front of the headlights.

Salvatore Boarding School - Hope/Rae's Dorm Room
Rae and Danny were alone, making out passionately.
"It took two damn years after the first time we kissed, and many years before that for us to get here, but..." Danny trailed off.
Rae smiled, pushing Danny lightly. "Don't be like that. At least we're here."
Danny nodded in agreement. "At least we're here."
They continued to make out passionately, just sitting on the bed to make out passionately, though not sure if they wanted to go farther than that that night

Lindsey/Ryan's Office
Lindsey and Ryan were leaning against their desk, sharing sweet, passionate kisses, looking at each other, smiling happily, continuing to kiss passionately.

Gym
Rafael had just stormed into the gym to blow off some steam, just as Lizzie had done earlier, startled when he found her in tears on the mat in the middle of the room, the punching bag laying in pieces next to her while sand covered every flat surface.
Thinking she wanted privacy, Rafael immediately tried to leave her to it. "I'm sorry, I'll leave you alone."
Rafael turned to leave.
Lizzie stood. "No, wait." Rafael reluctantly stopped, turning around Lizzie sighed. "I'm sorry... about Landon, and Owen taking off with him. I thought Josie would vote with you. I don't know what happened... other than that, apparently, I'm the worst person in the world." Her eyes filled with tears as she tried to make herself feel better. "You don't have to be my date to the party."
Rafael shook his head. "No, you're not the one who broke our deal. I'll keep my word." He turned to leave. Lizzie got the courage to run after him, grabbing him by the arm, turning him to her so that she started kissing him. Rafael was stunned, realizing what just happened, pulling away, looking at Lizzie in confusion. "What are you doing?"
Lizzie, not wanting to ruin a good thing and in the mood for something reckless and impulsive, shushed him, as she lifted both their shirts off. "Just don't think about it."
They started to make out. Rafael picked her up, wrapping his arms around Lizzie as he lifted her up so her legs could wrap around his waist, slowly carrying them both to the mat, where he gently laid Lizzie down, taking her hand in his own, lacing their fingers together, pinning them at Lizzie's side

On the Road - Bus
Landon and Owen were on the bus to New Orleans, looking at the pictures of them with Seylah when they were babies, looking at them closely for a moment before sitting back and thinking about the start of their new adventure in New Orleans. The camera zoomed in on the photos, taking note of the fact that Seylah was wearing a necklace with a pendant that was the same seven-pointed star symbol that the Dryad had carved into the wax on the dusty table.
The Dryad: (voice over) "That black pit, that awful place... it's called Malivore."
