Yesterday,

We were just kids

Laughing without a care in the world

Going on adventures

"Living life on the edge"

Or so we called it.

We'd go on trips together

Spend time

In malls

Sleepovers

Thinking it was cool

To know someone from another school

But as we grew older

Things changed

But our friendship remained

Only to blossom

To cherish

To strive

We'd still have fun

Side by side

Like we always did

And make memories

Both crazy and amazing

But we knew

We knew more

We understood more

And our bond grew

Stronger that it has ever been

We helped each other

Through thick and thin

Telling each other

Every single thing

Whispering jokes

And having another laugh

And when the times grew dark

I'd know
