Chapter 18

*Quick warning: You may read about some quick coitus. Just wanted to let y'all know!

****

Day three: Damn, J. What the fuck was that about? First, you being short with him because you don't need no man and all of that. Then, you giving lip service as if those kisses are for everybody. When's the last time you kissed a man like that, J?

It's been a long while since I've shown some PDA. My lips aren't for everybody but it seemed as though he wanted it. Tripp was showing all the signs last night and they were cute.

His little freeze while on stage, eyes widened like his pants just fell down in front of everybody, the lights displayed his dark brown eyes as his mouth dropped. I'm surprised that no drool came from the side of his mouth. It made me laugh because it was too charming in its own little way.

It was unusual. His friends were nothing like that and neither were any of my ex-partners. They fought to prove that they had strong manly egos. Tripp's just as sweet as a button and seems to have no problem showing off his emotions...whether they're controlled or not. That made me giggle so hard.

Our conversations were serious, real, deep. We had so much to talk about besides what each other was doing in the evening. That small talk was for the birds and it was so interesting talking with him.

So why the hell did he push me away though?

Can't blame it on his breath; it could never. With those shiny pearly whites, you'd think he brushed with the whole Colgate factory. Those chompers were cleaner than a new toothbrush that came from the package.

He deserved some lip service that evening just because of the way his breath smelled. It was divine, okay? Don't strike me down, God. I'm only human and couldn't help myself.

I couldn't deny the fact that he looked too damn good too. The way he smiled, how he presented himself, how sweet he was, the way he listened to my every word, how nervously cute he appeared before reciting his poem, the way he used that pen in his notebook, and...the way he looked at me.

No, it was the way he practically stared at me when the girls and I walked into the place. His eyes followed my every move and something about them had me interested. Something about the way those lips turned upward and his bottom lip seeped into his mouth for a while, holding something back.

Was it affection? Because he said something about acting on his feelings.

See, that's the problem with love and affection. When you take a small step out from under the beach umbrella of protection, just to sniff the air and maybe catch a fine ass fish, you reel it in and realize that it's nothing but trash.

Bet his friends put words in his head and, that one night, he chose to be like them. My thing is why the hell did he respond to my advances if he wasn't down for it? For once I put myself out there for somebody and they don't want me back. Never stepping back in that damn pool again. I swear.

Now, I'm pissed off because I did exactly what he said he was doing. Acting on my damn feelings, just to let them take over that night. Fuck that shit. I'm locked like a 22-ton vault and I dare somebody to try to open that. Reclaiming all that time I lost because of him.

Could've been doing something else but no. Instead, I-

An image of Cassidy and Cameron doing the Hoochie Hustle with each other's lips sat in front of me. Cass was all over Cameron's lap, basically, riding him as they kissed. How tragic. One down, three to go.

She was way into it too, taking over his whole face and whatnot. His wide hands touching all over her little rolls and fingers seeping under her bralette.

That's the moment where I cleared my throat and watched them scatter about on the couch, trying to get themselves together. Too late, you nasty freaks. How'd she get Cameron though? Of all men? Couldn't have found some other men to hunch on?

"J, I didn't think you'd be here! You scared the shit out of me, girl," Cass huffed out of breath and bit her lip back in lust.

I was the one here for adventure and here goes Cassidy having more adventures than me. Having the time of her life on the dick and riding it 'til the cows came home. We've only been here for two days and she's already snatched up somebody. Sad, ain't it?

"It's all good, Cass. I just came down to get something to eat so...keep going and...just keep it down if you can. Thanks."

That was going to be hard as hell. She wonders why I don't stay at her place anymore. Last time we had a girl's night at her place, she invited a 'friend' over. Talking about some 'It's my place and you can leave if you want'. That's exactly what happened after the first loud groan from her. She wasn't even doing anything yet.

I entered the kitchen and went looking for some luncheon meat with wheat bread. A nice good sandwich sounded really good until my phone went off on the counter. Damn, it would go off while my best friend getting her guts poked at.

And you can only guess who it was. The perfect time too.

"Hey, beautiful butterfly! I'm assuming you're having a good time since you haven't called me in a minute," Dad spoke excitingly as I raced outside before Cass and her friend got loud in the living room.

Yeah, Dad. Let's say that instead of how I actually feel. 22-ton vault, J.

"Sorry, Dad. We stay gone so I haven't called anyone lately. Good thing, you caught me at the time you did. We were about to go back out." I straight lied through my fake ass toothy smile.

Angela and Darian went to the beach to attempt to workout. She knew Angela didn't do any kind of running unless it was to a huge table filled with lobster. However, Angie's a good friend because the Cass and I weren't going. It was too early. Darian rewarded her with a drink afterwards anyway.

We all knew where Cass was and I...you know that too. The only one I've had time to call was-

"Well, at least, text ya old man. Been missing you, Journee. You know we got another location in Florida, right? Pretty excited about that."

Everybody with all this good news. I'm proud of everybody because they all deserved it but I did want to win in something. Should be proud of how I grew up but, for some reason, that's just not enough.

"That's great, Dad. I'm happy for you. Please don't tell me you're going to make me stay down here and build on it."

"Hell no. Not my sweet girl. Speaking of your trip, how's everything going down there? I heard you're expecting rain out there soon. Be careful out there."

Maybe that's why things have been the way they have. The odd actions, the strange feelings, and too many awkward moments around here. Let's blame this on the rain because it just makes more sense.

Agreeing with my dad that we'd be careful, we almost ended the call until he overheard something in the background that he shouldn't have.

"Uh, Journee, please tell me you aren't watching-"

"Nope, not at all, Dad. Somebody just got hurt so I gotta go. Bye, Dad! I love you!"

That's the last thing I want to go into detail about with him. He makes a big deal about the topic like I'm still 16. As if I didn't learn about these things three times as much as everyone else, in my graduating class in high school, did. All because my dad. Thanks, Dad.

Sitting by the ocean gave me a while to think on my past few days here. The only places we've been were the beach, a bar, another pub, and somebody's place to party. No thanks to me, I guesss.

Guess who picked all those places though? It's my turn to figure out a spot to visit and, with my love for animals, I thought about hitting up the aquarium. It's a different spot from what we're used to and why not learn more about the creatures that live in the ocean...for the most part?

There was a Groupon deal for 60% off on tickets too? Might as well use them and go. Save money, live better like Walmart.

Putting my phone in my pocket, I walked back inside and almost bumped into something I shouldn't have.

"My bad, Journee. I forgot you were still here-"

He surely did...walking around like that. Jesus, cover my eyes before I get put on the first train smoking to hell.

"Can you at least put your pants on, Cameron? Angie and Darian can be here any minute. You want them to see all that?" I pleaded as I covered my face and peeked through my fingers a little.

Hell, they probably don't but...good God. Who am I kidding? They'd probably want to hop on that too.

Shit, Cass wasn't playing. For such big ass egos, their ding dongs seriously matched. We're talking almost professional baseball bat lengths...and girths. Lord, have mercy. Why am I breathing heavily like this?

"I was on my way to do that but you kinda stopped and shocked me for a second there. Before I leave, can we talk for a second? It's pretty important."

Hell no, boy! If we talk, Cassidy needs to be right beside me because I can't handle none of that. If we talk, you need to put some pants on at least! The tension would be high as hell. It's been a while since I've been bussed down and it definitely shows.

Sighing and nodding my head to answer his question, I looked into the living room as he went into the bathroom. Cassidy was giggling in her matching underwear like this was cute and shit. Hell, I'd be giggling too if I were in her shoes.

Lord Jesus....

"I know you saw it. Packin', ain't he?"

Woman, he's more than packing. He's suit-casing.

Hey everybody!

Hope you all are having a great weekend!

This chapter was fun to write because we're starting to get a little bit into the nasty part of it all.

Please tell me what you think of the chapter.

Do you think Journee and Tripp will run into each other wherever they'll be at?

Check back on Monday or whenever I update next time! Thank you for voting, commenting, and sharing.
