Phase 2 Begins...

Neiv's POV:

I thought a lot about what Aaru and Mihir told me about their decision on living-in.

I practically sat thinking about what Chaahat told me too... maybe her perspective is right too...

But here I was thinking only as a brother.

I thought everything and finally called up Mom and told her everything!

How didn't I know that our mummy gang had their own personal broadcasting channel.

In no time news spread to Bela Masi and in no time it reached Pooja aunty.

48 hours to this breakout!!!

We are here in India!!!

Myself!!!

Aaru!!!

Mihir!!!

Chaahat!!!

We were sitting in the living room of our house.

In one corner Chaahat was convincing her SonaPie

Other corner my mom and Kisha aunty was consoling Pooja aunty who was crying non stop.

Mahir uncle, Archit uncle and Rony uncle were shooting daggers at Mihir who looked petrified.

Vansh-Malvika who came back from their honeymoon were looking at all the drama happening here with their eyes popped out 😳

Dad was next to me trying to analyse the situation. Suddenly he patted my shoulder and looked at me. His hand landed on my shoulder.

I gulped and looked at dad saying...
'Sorry dad...I guess I hurried in breaking out the news?!!'

To which dad chuckled and said...
'Nope... It's fine... Aaru and Mihir would end up  marrying any which way!! '

'And how are you so sure about it?' I asked dad...

'Well because their love sustained 15 years. That too long distance relationship! You know how tough that is!!! I still can't stay without your mom for two nights! If their love sustained this long then they are idiots to not marry!!! So chill.. don't feel bad!'

I felt a little better listening to dad.

While he whispered in my ears...
'By the way son...I didn't expect such good progress in 15 days!!! Someone's being kissing and announcing of a fiance on insta!!! Niiiiiiiiiiiiiice!!! You're mom was quite delighted!!!' he said

And I choked on my saliva 😳

Suddenly my concentration was broken when Mahir uncle announced...

'Lets get them engaged... And three months down the line let's have a monsoon wedding for them!!!'

I was shocked 😲

While Aaru's dad...Archit uncle added..
'I guess you are right Mahir..Aaru will also have holidays then...they can get married and settle down in Australia.'

While Bela aunty added...
'Yeah right... We'll buy a seperate bungalow for Mihir -Aarya by then in the same area as that of where Chaah stays..They both will be together forever...'

While everyone were making future plans only one lady voiced out
..

'And may I know why are my brother and Aaru not permitted to go for a living in???'

All eyes shot in the direction from where the voice came!

Although I didn't like the idea of livin for both Mihir-Aaru... I liked the way Chaahat was putting across her perspective fearlessly.

'There is nothing wrong in their request I believe...they both love each other.. when even after the marriage thing if you all are good with them staying together!!! Why not without marriage?

I mean what's wrong???' she argued...

'Chaah...our society doesn't approve of livein!!!' Bela Maasi argued...

'No SonaPie my question here is why??? If there is a divorce, a remarriage, even then if your society creates a shit scene what's wrong in living in??? Infact I believe it gives them an opportunity to know if they are compatible with each other! If not they move their own seperate ways!!!'

'Chaah quiet Bacche (child) ...you don't Argue against elders... it's like insulting them' Bela Masi tried to make her keep quiet.

'No SonaPie... I'm not arguing to insult anyone..I'm just supporting my brother's perspective which isn't wrong! I don't think that means disrespecting anyone! It's to save their lives from turning into a tv drama' she retorted...

While something shocking happened...

'And why do you think they would seper in the very first place Chaahat? They could be happy forever right? Why are you thinking pessimistic?' and it was my mom who stood against Chaahat...

While my dad here was like...
'Wooow...I knew she's the perfect daughter in law for me and Ishu...I was dying to see the MIL vs DIL...never knew my wish would fulfill so soon🤣'

While I looked at my father in disbelief 🤨

He was enjoying this!!!

'Dad they are fighting!' I said...

'Naaaa... My DIL is undergoing a debate round in the interview for qualifying as my DIL... and she's passing with flying colors...look at them...they both are lionesses 🤣 I'll have a fantastic old age.. '

I shook my head 😳

While I heard them continue their argument which stopped at..
'Chaahat just because you had to see your parents getting through the divorce phase doesn't mean every couple will go through it !!!'

And this time I saw Chaahat go silent!

While I heard dad say ...
'Ishuuuu'

While I saw Chaahat leave the living room quietly...

'I'm sorry Dev...I didn't mean to hurt her! But she is quite pessimistic towards life! She must accept it soon that not every relationship is as painful as her parents! I mean we all are in happy marriages!
Aadi-Nandini had issues but then she must look at Mahir-Bela and learn happy marriages do exist.

Just discarding the existence of marriage for something they went through isn't practically right na? She must accept it Dev...it's best for her future!'

I couldn't help but agree with mom's point's but I was shocked hearing her parents were divorced!!!

I knew she had a painful past!

I sensed it two nights ago when I she confessed her pain to me under moonlight..but again I didn't know how deep her pain was!!!

Here both Aaru's family and Mihir's family ... Sehgals and Ahujas decided on having a roka right now and an engagement 2 weeks from now!!!

Owing to Mihir's work commitments and Aaru's education the engagement was planned to be a private affair back in Sydney which would be attended only by close family and friends followed by a grand monsoon wedding 2 months down the line!

Roka was done right away here in our house 'Dev-Ishaani's' itself.

While post Roka ceremony sweets were distributed... although I couldn't see Chaahat anywhere...

I knew she was upset...

I thought about where could she be and remembered she must be in the backyard...Our childhood favorite place.

I went there and saw Chaahat sitting on the white swing and gawking at the moon

I don't know why...she looked extremely sad to me right now...

Before I could go to console her I saw Mahir Uncle and Bela Masi hug her, embrace her and console her...

She kept hugging Bela Masi for a long time while both sat on the swing.

I saw Bela Masi caress her hair after sometime she was smiling...

Both Mahir uncle and Bela Masi went inside...

I saw her smile vanish again...

She again sat and started looking at the moon in the sky...

I couldn't help but go and sit next to her...

She was shocked seeing me...she quickly wiped her tears...

While I caught her hand..

'Trying to build walls again between us Chaahat? Remember I'm your fiance!!'... I said and her head shot in my direction in complete shock 😲

'Although fake 😉' saying I winked at her...

She relaxed a bit... But her eyes still looked lost

While she slowly tried to get off the hold of my hand...

I caught her hand tightly and pulled her closer...I had to divert her mind!

She was shocked...

'Chaahat you know what...I think I'm falling for you!!!'

To which her eyes almost popped out of sockets and met my eyes...

I slowly brought her hand closer to my lips and pressed my lips against knuckles of her left hand and she sat there like a frozen ice cube 🥶

And I kept smiling 😁
