Chapter 9: Another Prophecy

Chapter 9: Another Prophecy

Camp Half-Blood

2460 AD

"You're brother is a very clever man."

Most of the camp looked at Poseidon oddly. He hadn't had any children aside from Coral, he and Athena's daughter. There was no son that these campers could think of.

The grey eyed, princess haired immortal demigod looked around the dinning pavilion with sad eyes. "He always was." All heads snapped towards the daughter of Athena as a silent tear rolled down her face.

"Who is he?" The girl sitting next to Annabeth asked. Her grey eyes looking intently almost searching her brain for an answer. "How do you know him?"

"How could she not?" A huntress with lightning blue eyes sneered. "They used to be friends. Well, more than friends."

The girl sitting next to the blonde looked back from the huntress to Annabeth, "Mom?"

"I-I..."

"He was and is the bravest of us all." Everyone looked to the darkest spot of the room and saw a  pale, raven haired man. As he came out of the shadow he glared at Annabeth. "He was my best friend before he disappeared."

The dinning pavilion sat in silence for several minutes before the silver eyed goddess spoke.

"Where is he?" The gods all looked at the most fierce goddess shocked by the softness of her voice.

"He stayed at the school," the son of Athena spoke. "So I would assume back there..?"

"Lady Artemis," a younger hunter started, "why do you want to know about this boy?"

"Because-"

"What matters is that he is back." Poseidon said cutting off his niece, which she was thankful for.

"How do you know he is back?" Skyler asked crossing her arms. "For all we know he could no show up."

"He will." The man with the pale skin stated. "He always does."

"Do you guys remember when he crashed his own funeral?" Clarisse asked out of nowhere with a small smirk on her lips.

"How can I not?" Nico asked. "I literally felt him die. And then he came walking into his own funeral like he hadn't been missing for two weeks."

"Such a Kelp Head."

"When was all of this?" Noah asked looking around the immortal campers with narrowed eyes. "You guys seem to know him pretty well."

"He came to Camp when he was 12 years old." Chiron stated. "It was a few years before the Second Titan War."

"But that would make him over 400 years old," Atlanta finally said. "Wouldn't he already be dead?"

"If he were a normal demigod." Three voices stated from the head table.

Sitting at the table sat three old women. One was measuring a piece of yarn, another was knitting, and the third was holding a gold pair of scissors.

"The Fates." Annabeth whispered with wide eyes.

"No normal demigod could have killed a minotaur with no training." The one cutting the yarn said.

"No normal demigod could have earned the...respect...of Lady Artemis." The fate hold the string stated.

"No normal demigod could have survived his first 16 years." The demigods all looked at the third fate with wide eyes as she knitted a pair of sea green with gold pair of socks.

"Who is this guy?" A boy looking around 17, with brown hair and brown eyed asked.

"The greatest hero to ever live." The three stated. Before anyone knew it the three twisted sister were gone.

"Chiron!" A female voice yelled getting closer to the pavilion.

"Oh, what now?" The god of war asked rolling his eyes.

All of the gods glared at the war god before looking towards where the voice had come from. A pale girl with green eyes and red hair came towards Chiron.

"Rachel are you okay?" Apollo asked coming towards the Oracle. He noticed how pale she was looking and summoned a chair before helping her sit while she glared at him.

"What is it child?" Chiron asked.

"It's-" Suddenly green fog surrounded the area and the once green eyes of Rachel turned a glowing blue. She looked into the direction of the four demigods, "Approach seeker and ask."

The four looked at one another before they all stepped forward.

"What does our teacher have to do with this?" Skyler asked with her arms still crossed. The Oracle looked away from her towards Noah.

"Why is this happening now?" The son of Athena asked. She turned towards the granddaughter of the sea with her soulless eyes.

"What is coming?"

"The Fate's Champion shall return,

With many lessons that he's learned.

The one scattered, the medieval witch, and the golden eyes of War rise,

So shall the adopted child with the blue eyes.

The truth of the past softened,

And the traitor forgotten,

A single choice shall end his days.

Another shall raise and take his place.

To prevail or fail time shall stand,

The hero to show his final hand."

Silence followed, as Rachel collapsed. Many stayed shocked never hearing a prophecy like that, while the immortal campers and gods looked at each other with knowing and/or fearful looks.

Apollo rushed to Rachel and helped her sit down and gave her a glass of water.

"Rachel-"

"Did you feel it too?" Apollo nodded his headed. "I haven't felt a prophecy like that since the last Great Prophecy after the Second Titan War."

"The last time a great prophecy was spoken-" Noah said slightly dazed.

"Was about the Second Giant War." Cassie said looking at her dad. "This is not good."

"What does it mean? 'The Fates Champion shall return', they have a champion?" Noah asked. "I've never heard of the Fates having a champion!"

"They didn't have one until about 440 years ago." Artemis stated.

"Who is it?" Atlanta asked. "And why did the Oracle respond to me?"

Rachel opened her mouth to answer when she suddenly stopped and stood looking in the direction the four demigods had come from.

"Probably because you're related to me."
