Chapter 5: Turn A Blind Eye
Mild cursing
The girl with short, mouse brown hair glared at me from across the cafeteria. Maria snickered. "So, what's her problem?"
I snapped out of a daydream I was having about green ghosts with no legs floating out of the vents.
"Um, uh, I don't honestly know." It was the truth, at least, an edited version of it. Her piercing green eyes and shrill voice reminded me of something. I heard a clatter, and looked up. And was surprised again.
A red-haired boy smirked at Maria and I. His crimson eyes had an evil twinkle in them, but something seemed off. I glanced at his left eye closer, and realized it had a milky white coating over it. Blind. I shuddered and wondered what happened to him. (AN: I'm overdoing it on character descriptions, aren't I?) "Can I sit here?" he asked in a remotely nice voice.
"O-of course!" said Maria. I didn't pay attention to anything else he said. Blind Ninjago characters.... my mind turned options over. With a strike of intuition, I realized who he was.
"Ronin!" I blurted out, forgetting I was in a crowded high school lunchroom. He gave me an amused smirk. Then, I heard a voice speak behind me. "Ronin. A wandering samurai who had no lord or master." I whipped around, and, sure enough, saw the black-haired boy smiling at me, with a slightly suggestive gleam in his violet eyes.
"Morro." I said his name under my breath, so Maria didn't hear me. "Master of wind. We're having a talk. Right. Now."

Morro's POV
I haven't been in a janitorial closet with a girl before. It was an interesting experience. I didn't really hear her ranting about ghosts and necklaces, until she slapped me in the face.
"Pay attention," she scolded. "Now. Explain." I sighed.
"So, you deduced that we are from the Ninjago universe?" Her eyes widened slightly at the confirmation, but she still spoke firmly.
"Yes, I have. And you need to explain some things. Like why the necklace made me get tentacles."
Shit.
Pardon my French.
"Your sight is better than most humans I've met." I glared at the small necklace. "You have absorbed part of the soul of the preeminent." Aha. Now her confidence vanished.
"Could- You - Please - Repeat - That," she mumbled through gritted teeth. I calmly obliged.
"You have absorbed part of the soul of the preeminent."
"But that can't be right. She's dead." I smiled. I was used to this.
"So am I. But I'm here now."
"You're a ghost though."
"So is she." Y/N growled.
"STOP TRYING TO GET ME TO ACCEPT THE INEVITABLE!" she screamed.
I was quite taken aback.
