[Scene from Episode 18, Child's Play, in Season 2]

"It's down to the final two!" Mother Doomsday announces. "This question is for Terrance."

The little crowd of children and adults stand as the audience to find out who's going to be the winner. Two kids are standing on the platform, waiting for their next question about Fritz Donnegan. With Terrance in his green ninja gi standing on the right, another kid in a mini-Fritz Donnegan cosplay with a red cape on the right, the tension is getting slightly tense.

Thanks to Lord Gilbert, he had unleashed the extinct Grundle by using his Mega Weapon to turn him younger. The Grundle went from bones to flesh, and it is on the loose. It is up to the four ninja to stop them, but the youth transformation to the Grundle had also affected them. They turned into kids, and they're needing Terrance's help to stop the beast. While they are fixing up the problem of defeating the Grundle, Master Ludwig and Nya go to a tea shop to get Tomorrow's Tea, which can age something or someone older.

They end up in a comic store called "Ninjago Doomsday Comix," because Terrance knew the the owner, or Mother Doomsday, would know some information about the Grundle. With its skin invincible from swords, scythes, nunchucks, and throwing stars, they need a different weapon that could take the beast down. Terrance, right now, is competing in the Fritz Donnegan Trivia Battle Royal to win four light swords, since light is very effective against the Grundle.

"Terrance! Terrance! Terrance!" the crowd of children cheer.

"What is Fritz Donnegan's famous catchphrase?" the man asks.

He pauses before quoting, "Fear? Fear is not a word from where I come from!"

"Correct!" Mother Doomsday looks behind to the audience. "We're all tied up."

The audience cheer once more. The boy Terrance is up against stares at him, unimpressed. However, Terrance smirks at his little victory and lifts his chin up confidently.

Kiku looks to his right and notices that the sun is gone, and he turns to the other ninja. "It's getting dark. The Grundle will be on the pausing."

"Don't worry," Lovino relieves. "I have fate Terrance can win those illumiswords."

Their conversation is cut with Alfred loudly eating cotton candy.

"Is it really the best time to be eating cotton candy?" Lovino questions.

Alfred, ignoring to harsh tone, looks to his friends. "It makes me feel young. Deal with it."

"Final question! The first person to answer this will win." Mother Doomsday faces the two children on the podium. "In the latest issue of Star Farer, how did Fritz Donnegan escape the Imperial Sludge?"

Terrance, realizing he hasn't read the latest issue, knows he is in big trouble. "Uh, it, uh, o, but I haven't read the latest issue!"

The kid to his right, however, did. "By reversing the polarity of the ship's gravity transducer."

"We have a winner!" Mother Doomsday announces, as Terrance gulps.

The audience except the ninja jump and cheer. Kiku and Lovino face palm while Arthur and Alfred look at him with sympathy. Soon, the building begins to rumble and lights sway back and forth. The light bulbs flash out immediately, alarming the owner.

"Who shut off the power?" he asks.

Everyone looks up at the glass roof. The tension is very high, and no movement nor sound has been made. The large, neon sign that says "Ninjago Doomsday Comix" breaks into two pieces, falls, and lands in front of the store, blocking the front door. Some people scream.

"It's here," Lovino points out.

"What's here?" Mother Doomsday asks, hoping for a good answer.

"You know that theoretical discussion we had earlier?" Alfred reminds him, chuckling nervously.

Finally, the Grundle makes its appearance on the glass roof with its head sticking outwards. It is looking straight ahead, not looking down. It growls softly but enough for everyone in the comic book store to hear.

"Not the..." the comic book store owner says.

The Grundle's feet step on the glass, and it cracks into many pieces. It looks bother ways before looking down with its bright, blue eyes. It roars loudly, scaring everyone in there.

"GRUNDDLEEE!" someone screams, the Grundle releasing its green drool.

"We've got to get out of here!" Kiku cries out.

The five ninjas head to the front door, only to find out it's blocked from the neon sign.

"The door is jammed!" Kiku claims as he attempts to pull the door. "We can't get out!"

They hear large footsteps getting closer to the five, so they turn their heads around and upwards.

"Look!" another boy warns. "It's coming!"

The Grundle smashes on one glass pane with its feet, sending it downwards and hanging only on one side. Its left foot gets stuck, and the ninja back up a few steps. With the Grundle's weight too heavy on the glass, it breaks the roof and lands in the comic book store. Glass shatters everywhere, and bookshelves are mushed from the impact.

The crowd, standing behind the Grundle, screams once more.

"AH! WE'RE DOOMED!" a boy yells in fear.

Mother Doomsday responds to the boy about something with page fifteen, but then the Grundle's tail swagged. The people from behind screams as they duck from the spiky tail. The Grundle turns around to the noise and growls at the people. Its tail swing more to the side and smashes the glass pane of the display case, the infamous ninja suits hanging inside.

Hearing the glass crumble, Alfred runs towards the display case. "Quick! This way!"

The other four ninja follow him. The Grundle, hearing the footsteps, swivel its head to find out the five ninja aren't there. With the extinct monster distracted, Arthur, Lovino, Kiku, and Alfred grab their ninja suits and the four illumiswords.

"Hey, McNasty!" Arthur shouts to grab the Grundle's attention. "I thought ninja were on your menu!"

The Grundle turns around and sees Arthur, Lovino, Kiku, and Alfred in their outfits-surprising fitting them due to their size-wit illumiswords in their hand. They fling the swords in front of the monster. With the light very effective against it, it screams and looks away.

"It's working!" Alfred exclaims.

The four ninjas slowly walk towards, the illumiswords still infront to scare the Grundle. Alfred jumps to strike the Grundle with the illumisword, but the sword bends itself because of the skin. Alfred gets sent backwards, but he lands on his feet easily. Lovino makes an attempt to jump and hit the Grundle, but his illumisword bends.

Arthur, hitting the Grundle with his illumisword, isn't impressed. "Stupid toy!"

Kiku hops onto the monster's head and strikes his illumisword. It bends as well and examines the damage, saying, "Uh oh!" The Grundle suddenly upwards, but Kiku back flips his way to his friends.

With only one illumisword working, Alfred screams, "Uh, we got a problem guys!"

The grundle roars at the four ninja. It raises its claw and smacks the ninja into a corner. The ninja don't get up as the Grundle approaches them quickly. It opens its mouth, venom seeping out of its teeth and gums like drool. The ninja scream as the Grundle nearly takes a bite of them.

Luckily, a little boy behind the desk ,where the ninja are, pulls the lever to bring the chair upwards. "Not to worry, I'll take care of this!"

The little ninja turn their heads towards the green ninja. "Terrance!"

His hands come together, and a ball of energy forms. The light forces the Grundle to look away. Terrance begins to add more energy, making the green energy ball bigger. The extinct monster takes one step back before swinging his tail to knock Terrance behind the knocked over desk. The Grundle goes back to what it was about to do.

"Oh, gross!" Arthur cries, trembling with his friends. "This is the end, isn't it!?"

Suddenly, the door slams open, Shelby appearing with her leg up. Sensei Ludwig and Shelby walk in, Shelby yelling to the people in the other corner, "Everyone, out!"

The people quickly sprint out of the store. The Grundle gets distracted again. Sensei Ludwig looks at the four ninja that just stood up as he holds up a jar filled with purple liquid.

"Use this!" He throws the jar to Alfred.

"What is it!?" the blue ninja asks.

"It'll turn forward the hands of time, turning you old and reducing the Grundle back to dust and bones. But be careful, there's no turning back," Sensei Ludwig explains with a warning tone.

Alfred leans in, about to throw Tomorrow's Tea at the Grundle. "Grundle, prepare to be extinct!"

Arthur jumps in front of Alfred, wavering the illumisword at the Grundle. "Wait, but what'll happen to Terrance!?" The four ninja turn to Terrance, finished regaining his consciousness. "He'll grow old, too!"

"Just do it!" Terrance commands without hesitation.

"You'll miss out the rest of your childhood!" Alfred counters.

"We can't do that to you!" Lovino adds. "It's not fair!"

The Grundle roars, grabbing the ninja's attention back to the monster. It used its claw to knock the last illumisword out of its way.

"Oh no!" Arthur yells.

The Grundle suddenly leans forwards and attempts to bite the ninja. The ninja fall back to where Lloyd fell, the jar flying out of Alfred's hand. It lands on Terrance's chest. The Grundle, knowing that its prey has been trapped, finally walks towards for its meal. Terrance gains the last of his own confidence into throwing the Tomorrow's Tea. He knows that it would make him older as well, but his life as well as his friend are up to him.

"Fear?" he quotes. "Fear isn't a word from where I come from."

The green ninja stands up as he grabs the jar off of his chest. Finally, he throws the Tomorrow's Tea at the Grundle.

"He used it!" Sensei Ludwig exclaims, Shelby's mouth open.

The Grundle begins to spin around, the Tomorrow's Tea affecting it. Its skin begins to deteriorate, and there is nothing left but bones.

"And it's working!" Shelby adds.

Electricity sparks around the bones, and a ball of light forms inside the Grundle's bones. It explodes, the bones laying on the ground. The four ninja stand up, back to their original selves, and take off their ninja hoods.

"What happened?" Arthur asks. "We're not kids anymore!"

On the other side of the Grundle bones are Sensei Ludwig, Shelby, and Mother Doomsday with his hand in front of his mouth in surprise.

"It worked!" Shelby exclaims in joy.

"They...are the real ninja," Mother Doomsday realizes.

"But what about Terrance?" Sensei Ludwig asks, noticing the green ninja hasn't appeared.

The four ninja doesn't know what happened to him. Their eyes are closed but later opened by the sound of an somewhat unfamiliar voice. The four ninja gasp in silence, Lovino and Arthur looking at each other before looking back at the new Terrance.

"I'm..." Terrance says, his voice much deeper. He looks to examine himself as he pushes his longer bangs out of his face. His hair has grown longer up to the middle of his neck. It's also more scruffier and shaggier, so his bangs block his view. His height slightly grows about a few inches, finally breaking five foot. Surprisingly, his green ninja gi still fits him. His body changed with less fat than he had before. His face hasn't changed much, and his glasses still fit. He pushes up his glasses to line up his eyes. "...older."

"The time for the green ninja to face his destiny has grown nearer," Sensei Ludwig says.

Lovino, Alfred, Kiku, and Arthur walk to Terrance with confident smiles, Arthur placing a hand on his right shoulder. Terrance copies their looks, confidence filling up his body.

"I'm ready," the aged green ninja announces.

The group walks out of the comic book store, Terrance as the last one out. Almost about to take a foot out of the store, Mother Doomsday tugs his arm. He turns around.

"Here you go, Terrance." Mother Doomsday hands him the latest Fritz Donnegan issue that he had always wanted. "You can have my copy of Starfarer. You deserve it."

Although Terrance wants his hands on the copy, he denies his gift. "That's okay. I already know how it ends."

He runs out to meet with his group, Mother Doomsday examining the comic with an idea in his head.

There comes a time when we all must grow up. When that time comes, it's important not to forget the lessons of our childhood because our childhood is the greatest training one can ever have.

Yes, the time until the final battle has grown shorter, but the green ninja has grown stronger.
