Sabrina stands outside, awaiting for her husband. She spots Terrance sulking back to the house, his eyes tired and drowsy. She hurries to him.

"Look around, look around at how lucky we are," Sabrina sings, "To be alive right now. Look around, look around..."

"How long have you known?" Terrance questions her.

"A month or so," she answers.

"Sabrina, you should have told me," Terrance says.

"I wrote to the General a month ago," Sabrina states.

"No," he whispers.

"I begged him to send you home," Sabrina adds.

"You should have told me," Terrance interjects.

"I'm not sorry," she defends. "I knew you'd fight until the war was won."

"The war's not done," he mentions.

"But you deserve a chance to meet your son." She places her hand on her round tummy. "Look around, look around at how lucky we are to be alive right now."

He sways her away. "Will you relish being a poor man's wife, unable to provide for your life?"

"I relish being your wife," she says, hope to cheer her husband up. "Look around, look around..."

Her heart breaks once more as Terrance looks down in defeat. She knows there's nothing she can do to brighten up. She knows she is really desperate to spend time with him, but she knows there's a war he wants to fight in.

"Look at where you are." She places her hand on shoulder, the other arm extended to scan the area. "Look at where you started. The fact that you're alive is a miracle." The right hand tightens her grip. "Just stay alive, that would be enough. And if this child shares a fraction of your smile or a fragment of your mind, look out world!" She smiles at her husband. She'd love to see her child just like her husband—well, part of him. "That would be enough."

Terrance stares at her with some sadness.

Sabrina head hangs low, facing the other direction. "I don't pretend to know the challenges you're facing. The worlds you keep erasing and creating in your mind." She looks at her husbands' dark brown eyes. "I'm not afraid. I know who I married. So long as you come home at the end of the day, that would be enough."

Her hands cover both of his cheeks graciously. "We don't need a legacy. We don't need money. If I could grant you peace of mind, if you could let me inside your heart..." A couple of tears fall from her face. "Oh, let me be a part of the narrative, in the story they will write someday. Let this moment be the first chapter where you decide to stay." Sabrina lays her head on his shoulder. "And I could be enough, and we could be enough. That would be enough."

Terrance sadly smiles at his wife. She sure knows how to make him feel better. There's a war still going on, and he needs to come back to fight.

For now, he wraps his free arm around Sabrina lovingly.
