– Where are we going? – I asked Sapphire as we walked down the crowded street.

– We are going to be meeting an old friend of mine. He has a villa on that hill over there in the woods. – he pointed at a huge green area towering over most of the city – It's really pretty but also safe. That'll be our base while we're here.

– So no more long car rides to a far away city?

– No – he laughed. – I'm sorry but we'll stay here. – I was a bit disappointed, I wanted to travel to places one last time because I won't have this chance again I was sure of that. – But hey, we'll be living in a villa with unlimited food and drinks and video games! – he smirked, knowing how much I loved food and video games when I was alive.

– I guess it'll be alright. I haven't played since I died. All the good games are banned up there and that's not fair! How can a gamer be happy without his/her favourite games?

I took the opportunity to turn the long walk into kind of like a sightseeing tour. Apparently this city wasn't even as big as I thought it was. Still there were a lot of statues of the city's most famous people and even some pets that rescued humans at some point in the past. There was a particular square where huge statues of Greek gods and goddesses were placed in a circle with a big fountain in the middle. On the two opposite sides of the square the were trees planted, all of them in full bloom. It was an amazing sight. I couldn't help but stop and stare. Behind me Sapphire was probably getting impatient, but I had to see every inch and detail before we could proceed. I only turned around when I heard the sound of a phone camera clicking. The angel was holding his phone pointed at me, smiling. I blushed. I didn't like people taking photos of me, especially when I didn't give permission.

– What are you doing?

– Well it truly is an amazing sight – he stepped closer and caressed my cheek making me blush even more.

– You're unbelievable nowadays. – I distanced myself. – Let's go see your friend.

The store was packed with stylish clothes and wonderful accessories as well as people just as fancy as everything inside and outside the building.

– This city and this store is rich peoples' Heaven, my friends. The can get away from all that stress at home and nobody bothers them. No crazy fans, killers and bounty hunters. – Ironically the shop owner was named Hunter and was originally a bounty hunter so technically this city is not entirely free from them even if he's retired. – What brings you here Sapphire? And with a beautiful lady such as her – The old man gave me a smile that I returned, but felt uneasy.

– We would like to occupy your villa in the woods if you don't mind, Hunter. We're on an important mission in this city and need a place to go back to after a long day on the streets.

– Okay, okay, you can get it but if anything happens to the house or anything inside I will kill you – the jolly old man disappeared and left a deadly killer in his place.

– I promise that everything will be fine. – Sapphire answered, making the killer give back it's position to the smiling friend.

– Here are the keys. Don't loose them. Enjoy your stay!

We thanked him and left the building.

– That. Was. Scary.

– His past won't ever leave him. So, shall we go "home"? – Sapphire smiled at me brightly and led me towards the store's parking lot. – I changed my mind. We should upgrade our car to that. – He pointed at a huge black BMW and spinned the keys on his finger.

My jaw dropped but I couldn't stare too long, because the angel was already in the car, ready to go at any minute now.

– Umm..  When did you get this? – I asked when I got in.

– When you weren't looking, sweetheart. – A bad boy smile from an angel is surely a warning.

A warning that I didn't take seriously.
