I was scheduled to come in at 5:30 until 9:30 and traffic wasn't bad on the way up so I wasn't too concerned about how busy we'd be since our GM sent a person home on the morning shift and took 2 people off the PM shift. I get there and clock in and apparently our managers are working on a catering order and there's another one right after it that wasn't even started yet.

I get put on DML which I was fine with. It was on sunshine and rainbows until 6:50 rolls around and I get an order with 10 entrees and 17 sides for 7. So I start working on that and I don't know if it was a glitch or if corporate really hates us because tell me why I get a total of 27 entrees and 30 sides all due in 8 minutes. Of course this backs everything up and I get people complaining and asking for a manager. Thankfully the cashier had my back and was dealing with everyone for me. 

I didn't get caught up with orders until 8:50 and I still had a ton of orders to get done. Luckily I got the screen cleared just at 9:31. Me being my dumb self asked my manager if I was good to go or if he wanted me to stay until 10 so he could get caught up on prep and dishes and not have to worry about DML. He said he would greatly appreciate if I stayed so I did but it essentially died at 9:34. But I stay until 10 and then I guess my manager told the grill guy to go ahead and send me home but tell me why he thought it was necessary to put his hand on my shoulder to tell me. His hand was on my shoulder for a good four seconds and I was like, "Is he serious right now?" I hate it when people just touch me, like come on. 

But I clock out and fix me a little bit of food because my stomach is being weird right now. I got a large side cup and I put 1 and half scoops of queso, some brown rice, mild salsa, and guac. I got seven dollars in tips at least and then I went home. I work again the next day (today as I write this) on new years eve. I go in at 3:15 and I close. the store is closing at 8 but I don't know who all is closing with me besides my favorite manager. I'm not used to closing at all so we might be there a while.
