Night shift is lazy
Okay, so I've been being scheduled in the last few mornings on the weekends. I prefer my crew in the PM shift over the morning. My team today was a manager that I like, two coworkers I'm fine with, and this other coworker that I'm being to dislike more and more, I'll call her B for now, I don't even know her name if I'm being honest though.
One Saturday, I was doing DML and we had my manager (the one no one likes) and B. We had M on cash. Once I had no online orders I would go bag chips since it would save some time in the long run from running back and forth. I finish bagging the chips and I'm headed back up to DML and B is walking to the back, looks me dead in the eyes, and then mumbles under her breath that some people are so lazy and need to do their job. Like hold up, what do you think I'm doing? I'm sorry if you were put on main line, but that's a you problem, besides, she had help up there. Then my second favorite manager is leaving and B comes over to me on DML while I'm in the middle of an order to practically yell at me about helping her because the other manager who was on line is going on grill to cut meat. I'm more upset because she could've asked me earlier when I didn't have DMLs off the screen because I just can't have all those late orders. Needless to say, she was upset with me, but I don't care because I was doing my job. She also keeps trying to take stuff off the DML line because she can't call anything for herself.
Today, I was working with the same crew minus the manager no one likes. I was on cash, B was on line, another coworker on DML and then the grill guy. Our manager was working more on prep and keeping up with dishes. B kept getting mad at me because I wasn't helping a lot with the line mainly because I was on cash. If I did keep helping with salsa, the line would basically never move. I had to keep track of what everything was because she can't mark anything or tell me what it is. She can't roll burritos, she can't portion, and she's ride to the customers. A guy asked if we had the Vinaigrette and she got upset, rolled her eyes and said, "Covid is coming back so our trucks are messed up." Which is not true at all, the reason we are out is because our blender is broken at the moment. The guy gave us a one star review on Google and I don't blame him at all. One thing I wanted to yell at her about in front of everyone was the cross contamination. She kept switching the spoons around from the steak to the carne asada, the chicken to the barbacoa, and who knows what else when we weren't watching her. I'm definitely going to bring it up to the GM 'cause that is not okay. After the rush I was restocking the line for B because she also refuses to do that and she starts talking with our grill guy about how lazy PM shift is just because we don't restock the drink fridge. She keeps going on and on about it and our grill guy was going to say something but he realized that I work the night shift closes his mouth and wisely chooses not to say anything. I just reply that PM shift is more worried about running out of stuff because AM shift seems to slack and that sure did shut her up. Like last night, my friend texted me saying they ran out of tomatoes, corn, guac, lettuce, cheese, and they didn't have any dishes.
I've only worked with her twice but I never wish to work with her again.
