I startle from my sleep but my eyes are still closed.

I can't feel my bed underneath my back.

Instead, my body feels numb and ongoing shivers crawl all over my skin.

When I shot my eyes open I get dizzy.

I am surrounded by deep darkness and air.

I close my eyes, hoping to wake up from this.

This, I hope to call just a dream or rather nightmare.

I open my eyes again.

They struggle to focus on something. Although I can see it's pitch black, I feel like my surroundings are moving in high speed.

"WHERE AM I? What is happening."

I am still surrounded by darkness.

In the panicked state I only now noticed that tears have fall down my cheeks.
I stare at my hand inspecting the tear drops.
"I can see them... but why not the-"
I look up.

I spot some little bright dots above me.

When I identify them as stars I realize that I am falling

all

the

way

down.

SPLAT!

Surrounded by the cold water I panic once more and exhale the remaining oxygen in my lungs.
The little air bubbles don't waste any time at wandering to the surface.

Leaving me with the rising pain in my chest.
My lungs fill up with water.

I am about to loose my consciousness.

I have no control over my body.

Too tired and exhausted to move an inch.

Too frozen that all I feel are the intensified chills which are now constantly present.

Pain.

"Am I going to die?
Like this?
What happened!?"

With a more shadowed view due to the lack of oxygen I see somebody jumping in the water next to me.
Clawing for me and carrying me out of the water before everything blackens.
