Her head throbbed, a sharp, solid piece of her mother's words had been lodge in it. Blood gushed everywhere, soaking everything she touched. She was told it wasn't enough to be bleeding, she had to be dying before she was worth the doctor's time.
Her life went on, her mother's words ripped through her head, next to her ex's games. She blacked out at times from the bloodloss, interfering with her job. She was let go quickly, they didn't want to deal with the mess she was making. She couldn't get out of bed anymore, she had lost too much blood. The bills sat unpaid in her mailbox, she'd be kicked out soon.
It wasn't until she was on the verge of death that the doctors rushed into the woman's life and admitted her to the hospital.
This woman was lucky. Lucky that she could fight for her life, others were not. Many withered away in their beds, only to be found dead later, their injuries the ultimate killer.
