This is a strange world,

full of peace but with wars.

Our family members hurt,

sometimes killed.

Is there a reason for this?

Is there a way out?

Or is there no reason,

with only one exit?

As we wish for peace,

those around us are falling.

So we need to help them,

and keep them strong.

Maybe someday,

there won't be wars.

Maybe there will only be peace,

with no bloodshed.

My mind and heart seek this,

need this rest

Others I know seek the same,

tears of exhaustion,

on their face.

We wish for peace,

wish to no longer fight.

But do we ever really try,

to stop those fights?
