A Bright night it is
The stars shine in all their glory
As i sat on the edge of my terrace
Observing the people down
From my own small territory

'She's a quite child' the lady gossips
'Yeah, she is, right?'
Another women encourages
And so their conversation goes on..
On and on as i hear them speak

Oh how funny it is
When they speak
As if I'm a shy teen of thirteen
How amusing it is
When they compliment me
for being  A 'Gentle' and
'Deep' beauty

Its amusing indeed
For they are blissfully unaware
Of the chaos which lies behind
This mask of calmness.
Of the great violence
I've leashed within the
Depths of my calmness

They'd be surprised,
If they ever saw my soul bleed
If they ever discovered
How I've come to let myself
Enjoy every minute
Of this insanity

For people who are broken,
don't bleed with screams
Its a maddening silence,
When the crimson flows silently
And sometimes...
Lures me,
To swallow me whole,
Completely...

I look at the ladies,
Snapping out of my thoughts
They smile at me,
And i feel the dread
As it washes over me

But i smile, and greet,
Cuz that's what i always do
Since they aren't at fault,
For the disturbing silence
That i go through

And yet,
I wonder if they are...
Cuz i remember
People asking if I'm fine
But why would they bother asking
When i can't speak...
When I'm so submerged in these depths
That i can't even breathe...

The smile that i have,
I wonder if its crooked,
But i let myself be
Cuz what does it matter
When the moon tonight,
Is itself swallowed
by the darkness...

For some people who'd wonder why the new moon night is Described as "bright" by speaker in the first line.

Its because when a person is in darkness,
Even a speck of light feels bright

While in the case of the ladies mentioned, its too dark for them to see the speaker cuz they are accustomed to efflugent lights unlike her.

Its also a Metaphorical contrast of their state of mind
