On the request of a special friend:

It was my first day of school,
With all the new faces i felt like a fool,
A hand came for me and patted my head,
Stopping my overflowing tears to shed.

My hands left my parents,
and enveloped with yours,
Keeping in my mind,
You will be my cures.

When you wiped away my tears,
Long were gone all my fears.
With all my might when i swallowed,
Then You lead me and i followed.

In that very new atmosphere,
You made for me a sphere,
Which showed me nothing,
Else than your love and care.

I was hesitant to trust anyone,
You said to me find someone,
The one who is only for you,
That one friend that is made for you.

Everything was new from start to end,
But you were prepared for me before-hand.
Although it was my first time in your shell,
I dont know still how did you knew me so well.

I thought my first day in school will be fearful,
I thought It will be regretful,
But my dear teacher, you were the one who made it cheerful.

Till today when i think about it,
If it was not you then i would have not made it.
Because of you It is relatable,
That my first day of school was memorable.

It was you, you and only you,
So that is why i am writing this to you,
Thank you my teacher,
My guide,
I will try my best to be your pride.
