the day he gave me

his navy blue jacket

I found myself floating

on clouds of serenity

for that jacket symbolize

his claim upon my heart

and I held onto that

navy blue jacket

like a security blanket

inhaling his scent and

imprinting it to my mind

eventually he said goodbye

but left the jacket behind

I kept it close to my heart

to remember the good times
