Walking away

With my head hung down low

Not because you cheated

But because your feelings didn't show.

You guessed it, he cheated. Their relationship was like a roller coaster ride. He was allowed to do what ever he wanted but made it clear that there would be consequences if she did anything he didn't approve of. She walked on egg shells around him. Their relationship was on again, off again for several years. Even when they were "off" she still worried she would make him mad. I know Nichole was no angel and she had a temper too but no woman should ever live in fear of a man!
