There are certain times in a person's life

Just as fast as they happen, they are done.

When two kindred spirits

Come together for a moment to join as one.

I have found this so-called kindred spirit

We completed a whole made by two.

For a second in time we were connected

My kindred spirit is you.

You have reached places inside my dreams

Mystic blues shimmering in a lake

Grains of gold I have seen.

Yet in these dreams you've given me, I've been awake.

A touch of what heaven must be

All else but this feeling dismissed.

Ambrosia tastes and scents unimaginable

And all by only your kiss.

I could never explain using words

And the nerve of me to dare.

For how can you write poetry worthy

Of a long awaited answered prayer.

I wish I could have met this young man before Nichole died. How could a mother not have loved someone who made her little girl so happy. That day that she told me about him, she glowed. She got tongue tied telling me about him. I was already planning her wedding in my head. Just imagining how beautiful she would be walking down the isle and how her smile would be bright enough to fill the whole church with radiant light.

Unfortunately God had other plans for her.
