"Oh come on, it will be fun." My bestfriend Yeosang chirped as he looked through my wardrobe. "I'm not going" I mumbled as I hid under the bed covers. "Y/n you need to get back out there. We're in Uni now, let loose." He said collapsing beside me with a sigh.
I pulled the covers off my head so I could look at him. "Your little rosie cheeks" he giggled as he caressed my warm cheek. "Hey" I spat swatting his hand away.
"Ok, ok" he said defending himself. I sighed as I laid my head back onto the pillow.
"Look" Yeosang said sitting up and crossing his legs. "I know you've been suffering and I know how much it's hurt you. It even hurt me seeing you that way. But you are getting better, I'm not saying it's going to disappear but I just want to see you be yourself again" he said in hope. "It's not like I hate seeing you sad It's just know the inner y/n is wanting to."
You see...
Last year I was diagnosed with depression and anxiety and ever since then my life took a huge plateau. I hurt myself and everyone around me.
I removed my hand from the covers to hold onto his. "I know I should, I want too but just deep down I feel like I can't." "What's your fear?" Yeosang asked softly. I shrugged my shoulders "I feel like I'm not good enough." Tears brimmed in my eyes, Yeosang's face softened as he leaned down to me, pulling me into his embrace. "Don't say that, don't you dare you you aren't y/n you are more then enough. Anyone would be lucky to have you, even I am. I'm your bestfriend and you are mine."
Sometimes I did wonder how me and Yeosang never got together. But I guess fate wanted us to be with others.
I smiled up at him. "Thank you. I don't know what I would do without you." Yeosang pretended to flip his hair, "you wouldn't have me of course." I chuckled and sat up. "Ok" I spoke nervously, "let's go to Jongho's party." Yeosang's smile lit up, "really?" I nodded. "Yes, now lets get ready."
Few hours later
Yeosang smiled widely at me like a mother or father does when her daughter gets married. "Yeo" I said waving my hand across his face. "Sorry I just" he paused "you look great." I smile as I looked down to my outfit. Ripped blue jeans, converse and a white off the shoulder crop top. "It's not much Yeo" he shrugged, "I know but it's nice to see you in something different. You look pretty." He blushed.
"Thanks, n-now shall we go?" I asked with a slight stutter. Luckily Yeosang didn't catch on, yet my nerves were slowly building inside me.

Arriving at Jongho's place I instinctively gripped onto Yeosang's arm. He looked to me to see fear in my eyes, "hey" he said softly. "Are you okay?" He asked looking down to me. "We can turn back if you don't want to be here."
The loud music, the cheers and laughs of other students inside made me jittery.
"Take a deep breath with me." He said as he intertwined our hands. "Now breath in" we breathed in. "And breath out." He said as we each let out a soft breath. "Better?" I nodded "y-yes." Yeosang smiled, "now I'll be here, beside you. I won't let you out of my sight ok?" I nodded again, "you better not."
Entering the house we were engulfed into Jongho's embrace. "Glad you guys could make it." He cheered happily. "Looking good y/n" he said eyeing me up and down.
Wooyoung's POV:
"Woah who's that with Yeosang?" I asked San as we both saw him and a beautiful girl hugging Jongho. "Oh that's Yeosang's bestfriend" Mingi's girlfriend spoke taking a seat next to her boyfriend.
I turned away from the boys to stare at her. She looked like an Angel.
"H-how come we've never had the chance to meet her?" I asked Mingi's girlfriend but her reaction soon told us otherwise. "I-I shouldn't say; it's not my place to." San looked at her confused, "what do you mean?" She sighed, "something happened with y/n around this time last year but like I said it's not my place to say."
I frowned, "and how do you know?" "Because she's my cousin." She answered with a happy chirp. Mine and San's eyes grew wide. "Wait cousin did you just say?" San asked. She nodded, "yes now let's move on- oh hey their coming over." Mingi spoke with a smile.
"Hey Yeosang, Hey y/n" Mingi and his girlfriend smiled as they hugged them. "Nice to see you here" Mingi smiled at y/n.
So her name is y/n
Your POV:
"Hey y/n meet San and Wooyoung" Mingi spoke as he turned to reveal two boys sitting next to one another, beer in hand.
I took a deep breath before smiling, "h-hi" I shyly waved. "Hey I'm San but you can call me Sannie" the purple haired boy spoke as he stood up and came close to me.
Yeosang's grip on my hand tightened ever so slightly. "N-nice to meet you." I stuttered. "And I'm Wooyoung" a boy with a mixture of blonde and black hair spoke as he stood next to San. "Hello" I grinned.
"Well...drinks anyone?." Yeosang asked grabbing everyone's attention. "Yes, I'd like one" I answered turning to him. He nodded taking my hand and guiding us into the kitchen.
"Yeosang?" I asked with a whisper as he begun pouring us each a drink. "What's up?" I twiddled my thumbs. "Why did your grip tighten when San came close to me?" He sighed loudly as he put down the bottle of Sprite. "He just gets very close to women" I frowned letting out a confused chuckle. "What do you mean?" Yeosang turned to me. "He's very much a ladies man, and often thinks he can get any women he sees. I just didn't like how close he got as I know you often get nervous around new people." My heart melted at his words, I leaned across and hugged him.
"Thank you but I'm not ready to date for that matter. Anyway Wooyoung seemed nice." I added making Yeosang raise an eyebrow, "Wooyoung. Yeah...Ohhh" he smirked. "You like him?" I nodded shyly. "Maybe"
Few hours later
"Do you need another drink?" Jongho shouted over the loud music. I shook my head "n-no thank you", "Ok" he replies before walking away.
Not that long ago Yeosang left me to head to the bathroom, but I guess he's got caught up on his way back.
I then began to worry
Standing from the sofa I left the living room and headed into the kitchen, which was a bad idea. The room was crowded with people laughing, dancing and taking shots.
Gently squeezing through I tried to find sight of Yeosang, but the further in I moved into the crowed the more people begun to surround me.
"S-sorry. E-ex-cusse me. Pardon me" I spoke as I pushed people aside.
My eyes felt teary and my chest felt heavy. I felt like I was slowly losing control. My heart was pounding, but I felt a trigger snap deep inside me. My breath begun to shorten. "Oh no" I mumbled as I placed my hand onto my heaving chest.
With my eyes blinking rapidly I soon felt someone's soft touch embrace themselves into mine. "Hey, hey, it's okay."
It was Wooyoung
I looked over my shoulder to see him smiling softly. "Come with me." He said taking my hand and guiding us out of the room, quickly but swiftly.
My hand was shaking in his, embarrassment flew through me.
Taking us upstairs and into a quiet room Wooyoung turned to me worryingly. "Are you okay?" I nodded shyly, "I-I think s-so." He sighed, "you had a mini panic attack" he said making me look up to him. His hand cupped my cheek, caressing it gently. "Take deep breaths, you'll be okay. I'm glad I found you when I did. I got worried."
Worried?
"W-why?" I stuttered. "Well I saw Yeosang with a close friend of ours and I couldn't see you close by. Instinctively I came looking for you, but I'm happy I did." My lower lip trembled. Wooyoung's eyes opened up, "no, no, no, don't cry." He spoke pulling me into his arms, which wrapped around my body making me feel safe and calm.
"Shh" he cooed. "It's okay, you're okay." I clung to him like a Koala does with its mother. "I messed up" I cried. "I really messed up." Wooyoung pulled away with a questioning look. "What do you mean?" I wiped away my fallen tears.
I felt like I could trust him
"I-I was diagnosed with depression and anxiety last year. I felt so miserable, I always felt like a burden leading to hurting myself and the people around me. Even Yeosang. B-but I've been better I just, I guess certain situations make me turn. Hence why I panicked when I lost Yeosang."
Wooyoung's face softened. "But you're ok now though right?" I shook my head. "Mental health can never just vanish at the click of a button. It stays with you, some people can over come it, some people can't. In my case I can't, I've struggled. B-but not many people know. I keep it quiet."
"And that's okay." Wooyoung spoke. "It's a personal thing to everyone and they all react differently. But I don't think any different, y-you are very pretty." He said as his cheeks grew pink.
I chuckled shyly. "Really?" He nodded eagerly "yes the moment I saw you walk in I knew I had to get to know you. In some way I'm glad you and Yeosang weren't together, otherwise I wouldn't have had the courage to speak to you." My heart softened.
"I kinda felt the same too. San is nice but he's not for me, but when I saw you I-" I paused. "I can't explain it but I just felt something." Wooyoung nodded.
"How about we head back down and get to know one another. What do you say?" I bit my inner lip, "I'll stay with you, let's let Yeosang have his night of fun and I'll be your night in shining armour." I tutted, "After 5 minutes you'll leave me." I spoke feeling somewhat disappointed.
"I won't" Wooyoung replied strongly. "I wanna get to know you so I am going to stay with you." I smiled. "Come on" he said holding out his hand showing a handsome smile.
I reached out for it and he intertwined our fingers guiding us away.
Maybe getting to know Wooyoung won't be so bad after all. Mental health isn't easy, but being with Wooyoung settled me. I felt even more hopeful for the future.
