Yawning, the tired baby stretched her short, soft arms and elegantly went to sleep. When King wolf noticed that the child was in her dream-world, he tip-toed into the swamp nearby to clean himself. Cheekily, the baby opened her eyes as slowly as she possibly could and gazed at the wolf rolling in the dirty mud. The leader of the wolf pack was still calmly bathing, until he saw the baby laughing her socks off and bending her head back with enjoyment. "Go back to sleep!" snapped King wolf. The baby started screaming with tears dribbling down her cheeks.

"Umm...I...I didn't want it to come out like that...I..." muttered the wolf shamefully. Suddenly interrupting the furry animal, the baby burst out with hysterical laughing. "You forgive me?" asked the cheered-up leader. The girl nodded her head as she smiled.

Later that day, a huge tribe of different species came marching towards the baby. "The King has had a child!" declared one of the many of the animals. "We need to get rid of the baby!" shouted another different beast. The leader of the pack came sprinting towards the hecklers. "No!" cried the King, "Leave her be!" He started to tremble amongst the dirty soil. "I'm ill, my fair friends; it's up to you now to keep the precious child safe!" Two lions started to take the leader away, "Protect her!" demanded the King as he was dragged away into the far-away distance.

The new-born pup was being brought up towards the huge crowd. "My child has been born today, my allies- so we shall have a party to celebrate his birth. I will name him Woody!" explained the mother wolf. All of the crowd started a commotion. "Now, we have no time to waste! Let's get ready for tonight!" ordered the female wolf. The baby started (once again) to have a screaming fit. "Oh, dear!" said the mother wolf as she picked up the child, "Let's get you happy! You can be forever best friend pals with Woody, my baby pup. The child's face lit up, "So I shall call you Shelby Ash!" She placed the smiling baby down on the grass and placed Woody next to her. The pup started licking Shelby, making her laugh. "Aww, looks like you two are already linked!" whispered the mother wolf as she walked away.
