There were three buses in total, and I was very relieved to know that XiaoXiao and I shared same bus. The only problem was that we had planned to sit next to each other, but it turned out that the bus was almost full, with only an empty seat in some rows.
"It's your fault," XiaoXiao exclaimed, immediately taking a seat next to a guy I know nothing of.
I sighed, she wasn't wrong; I was the one stalling after all. And so, with a heavy heart, I sat in front of XiaoXiao, next to a girl around my age.
At least not with a boy.
"Hello there," she greeted, and I only mustered my best smile while making myself comfortable. I could hear XiaoXiao's laugh from behind, and assumed that she was chattering away with the guy sitting with her.
It sure was nice to be as outgoing and carefree as Cheng XiaoXiao.
The girl beside me did not utter another word, and so, after the committee was sure that all of us were inside the bus, I shoved my headset into my ears, maybe harsher than I thought; I ended up wincing slightly and making the girl's attention directed to me.
She gave me a questioning look, and I— once again— only gave a smile in response.
And so, she went back into her own business, at the same time with the bus departing.
