"Hurry up, slowpoke! We'll miss the bus!"
I rolled my eyes at my friend's exaggeration.
"Calm down, there are still minutes before the bus's departure."
"But some people are already waiting inside the bus!"
"And there are other people here, remain unbothered."
A sigh of exasperation left her lips.
"Come on, Shuhua, it's only a trip for three days."
"Along with more than ninety strangers?" I rolled my eyes.
I was never good with strangers; or people in general. Each time I interacted with a person, I would either be shy and not talk at all, or blurt out random things and possibly come out rude. I was fortunate enough to have Cheng Xiao as my— one and only— friend; she might have had a hard time coping up with me, but she stuck to me like no other— and I was really grateful for that.
XiaoXiao crossed her arms and gave out a pout.
"Trust me, Shu, you'll befriend other people there, possibly many that are better than me," she said, her left hand dragging her small suitcase, while her left hand dragged my arm.
"Okay, okay, you can let me go now." She did. Then we walked side by side— along with some others— to the bus, with a comfortable silence lingering around us.
