Y/n tensed up at the voice. Soon after the voice was quiet sobs and quiet pleads along with it. Y/n could recognize that voice anywhere. It was her mother, and house' maid, Lisa. She was a kind girl really, and probably the only person Y/n trusted in the whole mansion. Lisa was the same age as her sister, or would be the same age as her sister.

"Y/n, we have to go-"

"I can't understand Lisa! Just why? I did everything so this exact thing wouldn't happen! And now look! She's gone, she's vanish! Where's my precious daughter?" The woman weeped behind the door.

Y/n dragged Yoongi towards the nearest closet as she heard the doorknobs twist and turn. The couple squeezed into the closet, their bodies just brushing off each other. Y/n placed a finger towards her lips with a soft 'shh', gesturing the Cheshire to stay silent.

The door swing open with a loud creak. Two people went inside her room. Y/n observed through the small crack from the closet.

"Look her room! Her glorious room! Is now empty! This mansion is empty! How could she not enjoy the glory of having money? Where's my daughter Lisa?"

"Mistress I'm not sure. We looked in the gardens and beyond the forest. It's been a whole month my mistress. We do not know Mistress. But please no more crying my Mistress."

"How can I not weep for my daughter? She was my youngest girl! The only one that was left! I'm an old women who has no children! Why? Because they left! And why has she left? I-do you think she found the place?" Y/n's mother lowered to a whisper.

Y/n tense slightly, using her free hand to grip Yoongi's. She wasn't sure what, but the way her mother whispered so lowly gave her shivers.

Yoongi noticed her suddenly tension as his fingers laced around hers, his thumb rubbing in circles of her palm in a soothing matter.

"My Mistress, you said the exact very thing when Jisoo left. Maybe she left because of the pressure of being married. Lady Y/n was 24 my mistress, and you didn't let her chose her par-"

"Nonsense! She was probably going to bring me a peasant if I let her chose! I let Jisoo chose only for her to bring home a man who couldn't afford anything! But I'm sure...it has to be. Y/n found the place. The place I so hard kept as a secret. It's only beyond our gardens! I tried so hard to convince my husband to move yet he refuse. It was only a matter of time before she found it!" The women exclaimed. Lisa looked at the women, concern over her.

"My mistress, please I don't think that's the case. Besides we aren't sure if it's real-"

"It is quite real. It's real Lisa. I know. I was there. I used to go there quite a lot when I was young. It was so..mad. Everywhere you looked it was just complete nonsense. There was people who had ears of cats or rabbits. However, I stopped when I got engaged to my husband." The women sighed her eyes setting on the beautiful landscape of trees.

"My Mistress, I think it's best if we leave Lady Y/n's room. We'll continue our search for her, but you must get some rest." Lisa urged, worried for her mistress. The women sighed turning her heel as she left. Lisa left behind her, shutting the doors that may never be open.

Y/n and Yoongi quietly left the wooden closet, their hands still laced together. Y/n looked up at the Cheshire with widen eyes.

"Do you think my mother was talking about wonderland....?" Y/n whispered, her eyes enlarged. The Cheshire looked at her, he had the same expression.

"It sounds like it. Has your mother ever mention to you before?" The Cheshire asked. Y/n shook her head, tightening her hold on his hand.

"Never-Wait. My older sister used to tell me stories of a place where it was completely upside down. But I was like 3 when she told me. I thought-I'm so confused. How did my sister and my mother know..?" Y/n whispered so bewildered at the situation. Yoongi shrugged as he furrowed his eyebrows in confusion.

"I'm not sure princess. Or maybe..there once was a girl who used to come to wonderland before you did. But it was way before even Jin Hyung was born. And way before the White Heart War. But I thought it was an old story." The Cheshire's tail flicked behind him as he was deep in thought.

"What story?" Y/n asked now more curious. The Cheshire looked at her before his gaze went back towards the floor.

"It was about a little blonde girl. She had blue eyes. She wandered into wonderland when following a white rabbit. Supposedly it was the same rabbit from what used to be Jungkook's clan. She followed the rabbit down towards wonderland. But as she followed the rabbit, she ran into a Cheshire, two twins, a Mad Hatter, and the white queen and the red queen. At the time, the red queen ruled all of wonderland. She stole the throne from her younger sister. Supposedly the Cheshire was also from my clan, and that the white queen and red queen were Jin's and Taeyong's parents. But my generation never knew. No one from that era survived. So we all assumed it was a tale." The Cheshire explained. Y/n furrowed her eyebrows in thought, placing her finger under her chin.

"But if no one from that era survived, how come Hoseok's father and Jin's mother were alive? Why didn't you ask them?" Y/n asked. The cat sighed looking away from Y/n.

"Don't you remember princess? Hoseok's father died a year after you arrive. And Jin's mother died months after you arrived. We didn't hear about the story until after they passed away. Besides, when the White Heart War ended all of Jungkooks clan died. He was the only survivor." Y/n immediately froze at the end of his words, looking up at the Cheshire.

"Jungkook? Is the l-last of h-his kind?" Y/n whispered her breath shaking. Yoongi looked at her as he soften his look.

"Right. I'm sorry. You didn't know. Yes Jungkook is the last his kind. What wiped his clan out was the wolves."

Y/n's eyes widen as tears swelled up in her eyes, making the tears shine like diamonds.

"B-By Namjoon?" Her voice was barely audible. The Cheshire's heart sank, he cupped her cheeks gently.

"Yes, Namjoon's clan at the time was working for the red queen, and by the order of the red queen, the rabbit clan was to be killed. That was her last command before she died. Though some people were against it, but Namjoon's father, leader of the clan, still went through it. Namjoon was merely a boy when this happened. And Jungkook was even younger. Had to be at least 2. That's why Namjoon takes care of Jungkook. He feels as if it's his fault." He whispered. Y/n looked down with tears spilling from her eyes. Yoongi's pale fingers gently wiped away her diamond tears.

"D-Does Jungkook know?" She asked as her breath shuddered. The Cheshire shook his head placing a soft kiss on her forehead.

"No so if we ever see them again, don't tell him. It's not my place nor is it yours. But my princess, we have to go. Soon or later Taeyong will start looking outside of wonderland." The Cheshire whispered. Y/n nodded wiping her remaining tears away.

"Right, we still have to go." Y/n whispered and took his hand, dragging him towards the open glass doors of her balcony.

"Um Yoongi how are we-?" The Cheshire caught her off as he held her hand and disappeared in thin air. They both reappeared by the beast who was on the ground. The Cheshire hopped onto the back of the beast. He then extended his hand out towards Y/n.

"Come on princess."

Y/n looked up at him before turning her head towards the mansion. She was leaving. She was leaving the place she was raised and stood in for many years.

A place where she weeped and laughed. A place where she thought a witch lurked, but really it was a lost and desperate mother who wanted nothing more than her two daughters.

Yet, even though Y/n heard her mother cry and weep in front of her, or the way her tears drip like rain drops from her eyes. Or how her old body shook and tremble from the mere thought of her daughters gone. It still wasn't enough for Y/n to stay, or even feel remotely sad. It just did nothing.

How could she forget the fact her mother was never her mother?

So the girl turned her heel and hopped onto the beast without a second thought. Her arms tightly around the Cheshire's waist, hiding her face into the back of her lover. As they both left the giant mansion and the only home, wonderland, that they knew. Knowing that they may never be able to return to such places.
